Prologue: The Find

Cole was sitting alone in his brothers room. He had no reason to be there, he just felt like he needed to be there. He had just gotten home from school a few minutes ago. He and his brother lived with their mom. Their dad had left them a long time ago.

Just as he was getting ready his hand felt a small bump under the covers. He looked down and saw an rectangular shape underneath the covers. He reached his hand underneath them to try and remove whatever was causing the lump in the matress and felt....something.

He quickly pulled his hand away, wondering what it was. He reached under it again and pulled out a....book? He gave it a once over, trying to find any clue to what it was. He thought I was one of his moms antique books that she collected.

He decided to glance inside. He did not expect to see what he found. It was a very formally handwritten book. He looked at the first page and tried to decipher what the title said. Wait....it read......

2 Chapter 1: Where I've Been

'Dear Cole,

I know this may be sudden and all but, hey. It's your brother, William. I know you don't understand what's happening and all, but if you read, it'll all make sense soon.

I don't even know where to start off at! There so much that I have to tell you. And it's not all happy dandy news either.

First off, I'm not anywhere you can find me. So don't try. And second, you need to know first thing that you are more important than you know. I've been through a lot since I last saw you, and I'm sure you have too. But ill tell you everything, you just wait. Ok sit back bud, cuz this is gonna be one helluva ride.

It was about two years ago when I disappeared, give or take. I'm 100% certain that nobody know where I am. I'm not anywhere findable, at least I don't think.

Bro prepare for a shock. It's still hard to believe, even after all these years. I'm in Equestria. I'm in godamn Eques-'

SMACK!! The book slammed right into the wall. Cole was sitting on the bed. He had a rather....strange look on his face. It was halfway between confusion and complete rage. He slowly slunk back down from when he was standing up.

He walked over to the book and picked it up. He started to tear the pages out. He knew it was a prank from the asshole kids from down the street. He continued to rip them out. After several minutes of ripping he stopped. He looked at the book in triumph. Then at the floor in confusion. Then at the book again.

There were no pages torn out of the book. The floor was as perfect as it was eight minutes ago. He dropped the book and scooted back.

It- it's not possible! He opened the book and looked inside. He slowly started to tear out a page. It healed right back as soon as he let go.

Wait, there was words on those pages. But, not in the same writing. As he read them...he could also hear a...voice?!
COLE, DO NOT TEAR OUT THESE PAGES. THEY ARE FOR YOURS AND EVERYONE ELSES BEST INTEREST TO HAVE THEIR BEST-KEEPING A MUST. YOU ARE NEEDED IN EQUESTRIA TO SIDE WITH YOUR BROTHER. THERE IS A FORCE LARGER THAN WE CAN FIGHT OURSELVES AND WE NEED YOU, AND ONLY YOU. YOU WILL COME TO EQUESTRIA. Your brother is waiting.....

Cole immediately stopped messing with the pages and stopped, wondering if he was becoming mentally insane.

'Yep I've lost it. I'm going crazy because my brother isn't here anymore.' Cole thought.

He picked up the book and started to try and find the words again. All he saw was blank pages. And blank pages. And, yep, you guessed it bla.....woah, wait a minute. Theres words. 'They look like Latin or some strange language.' Cole thought.
He read them and tried to say them out loud and it went something like this

EN LENGANTE ASREANH SEN DOUN

He felt a pressure on his chest as he finished and felt a thump of air as he was taken from this Earth.

Chapter 2: Recollecting Lost Time

I felt a strong thump as my back slammed against the ground. Well, really I couldn't tell which way was up or down. I started to feel very light as I finally felt some sense in my body. I slowly opened my eyes to see a sea of white rushing at me. I instinctively went into the fetal position. I knew I would die when I hit it.

When I hit, I didn't die, it thumped into me and I passed through it. I looked again and saw....THE GROUND?!?!!!

It was rushing at me, and I was panicking in turn. It was still several hundred feet away, but it was coming fast.

I know it was stupid, but I was looking for something, anything to grab to at least slow down my descent. I saw a small speck in the distance. I think it was the sun. I was somehow starting to calm down. It was almost....peaceful. I kept my eye on the little speck thing. My eyes were beginning to water up, so I couldn't see as clear. It was also getting harder to breathe. It was too much to panic. So much easier to...close....

The purple unicorn mare was on the ground, looking up at the falling object. She had to do a sleep spell to make everything easier. She was hoping on Rainbow Dash would hurry a little faster. It was only one shot to get this right.

"Is that him?" A voice said behind Twilight.

"Yes. He seems to be struggling more than you were." She said to the boy behind her.

"Hah! Yea, well he's always had a strong will about him against higher power."

"Oh, well here comes Rainbow!" She said, indicating the rainbow trail behind the sky blue pegasus.

The rainbow was dashing at full speed toward the falling boy. She was trying to fly under him so she could carry him down.

She suddenly flew over him and grabbed him by his collar with her mouth. She then rapidly descended and put him on the ground in about two seconds.

The older boy then walked over to him and picked him up carefully. He was cradling him then hefted him into his arms. They proceeded to walk away.

"To your house then?" The boy carrying Cole said.

"To my house."
