My Littlest Pony Shop: Rainbow's Big Adventure

by ChickenHooves

A story based on Littlest Pet Shop. Includes characters from other worlds.

Rainbow Dash and her father, Rainbow Blitz, move to Canterlot, the capital of Equestria, which varies intensely from their small town of Ponyville. But, despite moving into the most busy city in the country, Rainbow Dash preferred to stay in Ponyville than move here, and Blitz doesn't mind much at all. They move into a flat above a store named 'Littlest Pet Shop', and Rainbow discovers a hoof-handled elevator in her room. She finds that she can understand the animals, as well as finding a few familiar faces. The owner of the shop, Bubble Berry, says that the shop is about to close, and the... 'inhabitants'... overhear her and try to tell Rainbow Dash so she can help them save the shop.

Based on Littlest Pet Shop. Decided as a twist that Rainbow's father is Rainbow Blitz. BTW, the Bubble Berry in this story is NOT the male Pinkie Pie. She is just a blue Pinkie with green eyes, like in Fighting Is Magic. Cover image by me.

This is just a random idea I came up, so it doesn't really make any sense, but I spent a while on the first two chapters for this story.

Another perfect day in my home town. Population: I don't even bother to count. Animals thrive in the small town of Ponyville. It's quiet, but it's home. My friend Fluttershy takes care of loads of animals. Pinkie Pie is random, but her jokes are prett-y awesome. Rarity is the fashion diva. She makes me wear tacky clothes. Too sissy for my taste! Applejack is the farmer. She dedicates her life to harvesting apples. Not sure why, but she's a great friend to me. Twilight Sparkle's the librarian - pretty bummered to spending her life with her horn stuck in books.

Celestia's brought a great, sunny morning, and we don't even have any weather today, so I can just sit back and relax. And, I'm doing a bit of reading Daring Do on top of my favourite cloud.

"...And as the broken pegasus leapt out of the soon to be volcano, she opened her wings and soared out, clutching the Sapphire Stone in her hooves tightly, away from Ahuiz--"

A squirrel leapt onto the cyan Pegasus' book and started chattering. She couldn't understand it, but she just assumed that it was saying something great about the book.

"Oh, great, you like Daring Do too!"

A cyan stallion, also a pegasus, was trotting as fast as he could to where the other pegasus was.

"Dad!"

"Dude, I got some good news and some great news! Good news is; they gave me a promotion at the weather factory!"

"Awesome! What's the great news?"

"We're moving! Celestia sent a chariot for us to bring us to our new home!"

The mare was so utterly shocked by this she didn't see her friend Applejack throwing a stick so Winona, her pet dog, could catch it, completely caught out.

The two cyan pegasi were now in a chariot, being pulled by two of Princess Celestia's royal guards.

Canterlot, the capital of Equestria. Home to two million ponies. Make that two million and two. My dad's Rainbow Blitz. He likes to be a great flier. He's a former Wonderbolt. And I'm the only pony to ever pull off a Sonic Rainboom. My name's--

"Dash!"

"...Yes, dad?"

"I'm so excited. How about you? Aren't you looking forward to getting settled into our new place?"

"NSM, dad."

"Not so much?"

"What? How can you not like the city here, the home town of your idols?"

"Well dad, I just wish I had something to say about it, instead of you just springing it on me."

"Just understand, Dashie. It's a great place in a good school district. I know! You love adventures. Think of this as an adventure. Come on, Dash. I'll put music on from my iPod."

Blitz got the small, black object out and scrolled through the list of music, then smiled as he put a familiar song on. Rainbow recognised it as 20 Percent Cooler by Ken Ashcorp, but it was the Alex S. remix.

The golden chariot pulled up on the ground as the two ponies stepped out. A yellow, skinny pony pulled up behind them, pulling a beat up old van with no engine in it.

"We'll, here we are. Home sweet new home."

"What the--huh? We're moving into a pet shop."

"'Littlest Pet Shop'? Huh, didn't notice that before. Hmm. Okay Dazzler, it's the top floor."

Rainbow Dash flew over to the door and stared at her new home. It wasn't nearly as peaceful as Ponyville. She turned around and gasped. Two young unicorns were there, one was a Beetroot with a white mane, whilst the other was a plum with a black mane. They both eyed each other at the fact that yet another pony got frightened.

"Oh, sorry. You kinda scared me."

"Yeah," the black haired unicorn said. "That happens."

"A. Lot." The other said.

The two unicorns eyed the book Rainbow was reading.

"Daring Do?"

"So your name's Daring Do?"

"No, it's Rainbow Dash."

"I'm like, Whitney Biscuit." The black maned unicorn said proudly.

"And I'm like, Brittany Biscuit." The other said also proudly.

"We're twins." They said in unison.

"Good to know." Rainbow said.

"Are you gonna like, live here?" Brittany asked.

"That's what I've been told." Rainbow replied reluctantly.

"Aww, too bad, this building is lame." Brittany said.

Whitney and Brittany both glared at the Pegasus with their red eyes.

"Is that your mane and fur?" Brittany asked in disgust.

"...Uh, yes... Yes they are..."

"Well, obviously you need better fur and mane colours, so do you, like, wanna go shopping with us?" Whitney asked.

"We'd like, let you." Brittany said.

"I, uh, have to do anything else. I mean, I have... A lot of... Unpacking, to do. So, thanks, but nope."

"Excuse me?" Whitney said, dragging the Pegasus back over with her crimson magic. "FYI Dash, we've NEVER been told no."

"And OMG, now you've said it, I don't think we particularly, like, like it." Brittany said.

"Oh man, I don't normally like cute things, but you guys are so cute!"

Rainbow Blitz was staring at a purple dog, which looked like Dash's friend Twilight, a brown squirrel, a green gecko, a yellow mongoose, and other animals.

"Daaaaaaaaad!" Dash said as she flew over to her father, who was now imitating the gecko as it looked as though it was doing a duck face. The twins giggled as they cantered off, away from the crazy stallion. "Dad, what are you doing?"

"Just saying hello."

"Well, just say goodbye!" Rainbow started to drag her father off.

"...bye."
