A story of how Apple Bloom was adopted by Aurora from Sleeping Beauty
In this story we all know the story of Sleeping Beauty. Well in this story you'll see Aurora adopt a girl named Apple Bloom. And how she became a princess.
You all know the story of how Aurora got cursed? Well in this story you'll see how Aurora adopted a girl named Apple Bloom while trying to rid of the curse. Lemme take you on a trip down Memory Lane.
In 14th Century Europe, King Stefan and Queen Leah have a daughter, whom they called her Aurora. Everyone was invited to the christening ceremony, where baby Aurora is betrothed to Young Prince Phillip, the son of her dad's friend who rules a neighboring kingdom, King Hubert. Stefan and Hubert wanted to unite their respective kingdoms through a future marriage between their respective children.
At the Princess's christening, the royal herald announces the arrival of the three good fairies who came to bless her; Flora (in red), Fauna (in green), and Merryweather (in blue).
Flora gives her the gift of beauty, which is described in a song as "gold of sunshine in her hair" and "lips that shame the red, red rose."
Fauna gives her the gift of song, so she may sing like a nightingale.
But before Merryweather can give her gift to the princess, Maleficent, a wicked fairy and self-proclaimed "mistress of all evil," appears on the scene. Angered at not being invited to the christening, she curses Aurora to die when she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel's spindle before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, leaving everyone horrified about Aurora's doomed future and her frightened mother grabs her infant daughter from the bed in horror. A furious Stefan orders his guards to seize Maleficent, who disappears.
However, Flora and Fauna point out to Stefan that Merryweather hasn't given her gift to Aurora yet. While Maleficent's magic is far too powerful for Merryweather to undo the curse, she does use her magic to soften the curse, whereby, instead of dying, Aurora will fall into a deep sleep that will only be undone by Love's First Kiss. Still fearful of his daughter's life, Stefan orders all spinning wheels in the kingdom to be burned as a preventative, though the fairies knew that this is not quite successful or effective enough against the curse. Knowing Maleficent is extremely powerful and will stop at nothing to see her curse fulfilled, least of all a "bonfire", the fairies take Aurora to live with them in the forest, where they can keep her safe from any harm until she turns sixteen and the curse is made void after which she would be reunited with the king and queen.
Ten years later when Aurora was 10 years old we see the fairies and Aurora living in the cottage still trying to rid of the curse. Meanwhile we see two people carrying a basket with three babies inside and placed it on front of the door. Their were Applejack and Big Mac.
"Are you sure that you have to do this? After Granny passed away?" Big Mac asked.
"We have to Big Mac. I don't want mah Lil' sis being raised where too much danger is happening. We have to be with someone that can protect her." Applejack replied.
She then looked at her sister and started to cry big tears.
"It's okay Li'l sis. Your big sister will help you." Applejack replied.
The baby cried when it drew the attention of Aurora when she went to the door and saw them.
"Oh you poor things. Here lemme get you inside." Aurora said carrying the basket inside.
"Thanks miss." Big Mac said.
Once in she removed the blanket and saw not one but three babies in there. Aurora was surprised by that but at the same time feels sorry for them left out at a young age. Then the three fairies came in and saw the babies.
"Aww. Look at those cuties. Aurora dear where did you find them?" Flora asked.
"They were in front of the door. But they look so cute. Especially the red haired one. Also I met these two as well." Aurora answered.
"Yes they all are cute. But what are their names?" Merryweather asked.
Aurora found the note in the basket and started to read it. "Their names are Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo."
"And im Applejack. This big guy is my brother Big Mac." She introduced.
"Those are adorable names." Fauna replied.
"They sure are. But I think they should stay with us. After all I think I like Apple Bloom here." Aurora said as she took Apple Bloom out of the basket and held her. She cooed and fell asleep in Auroras arms. The three fairies got Sweetie and Scootaloo out and held them close. Then Flora had an idea. She, Fauna and Merryweather will help their goddaughter raise her children in the cottage. At the time they still not have their wands since Flora confiscated them for the oblivious reason. Then while Aurora was singing a lullaby to Apple Bloom the fairies went outside to discuss something. But after they placed the two babies in separate cribs. But Applejack and Big Mac went outside and stood next to the fairies.
"So Flora. What is it that we need to talk about?" Merryweather asked.
"Yeah. What's going on?" Applejack asked.
"Let her explain dear. You'll know why soon." Fauna replied.
"Well we all know that Maleficent's curse is still powerful. Now we have three babies to look after. I think that we should place a gift on each of them to see if they will help their new mother break the curse." Flora answered.
"Who the hay is Maleficent?" Big Mac asked.
"She's an evil fairy with great power of darkness. She cursed Aurora when she was a baby. So we brought her here til the time is right and the curse is lifted." Flora explained.
"Oh. Then I guess it's a good thing we came here then." Applejack replied.
"Yes it is. But Flora their too young. Besides they don't even know who Maleficent is. If they did then she would place a curse on them just like Aurora is." Fauna replied as Applejack and Big Mac gasped.
"Which is why we need to place a gift on the kids. What im thinking is that we can make their bond to us and Aurora stronger than ever." Flora offered.
"But I said that by Love's First Kiss the curse would be broken." Merryweather reminded her.
"Yes that's true. But to protect the children I shall place another gift to weaken Maleficent's curse." Flora said as she took out her wand. "When the kids reach 11 years old, their bond shall grow more powerful and be granted with magic. And if one of them finds love then by True Love shall banish Maleficent for good." She finished and put it away.
"Are you sure about this? What if it doesn't work?" Merryweather asked.
"Yeah. I hope that it does work. I don't want my sister dying in the hands of that witch." Applejack said.
"It will. When the time comes we'll know." Flora assured.
Then they all went back inside to take care of the babies. But they knew that later on they will do everything they can to protect them from the mistress of all evil.
We cut to six years later and we see Apple Bloom, her sisters, and her brother, Big Mac, growing up. Applejack is now 15 while Apple Bloom and her sisters were all 10 years old. Big Mac being the oldest is 17 years old. And lovely Aurora is now 16. Right now she was with Aurora and the other Crusaders picking berries for the fairies. But Apple Bloom was curious about what her mother's life was like.
"Um Mother?" Apple Bloom said.
"Yes dear?" Aurora replied.
"Can you tell me what it was like growing up?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Well it's not so bad. Living with them isn't so bad. But sometimes I miss my parents." Aurora answered.
"Who were your parents?" Scootaloo wondered.
"I honestly can't remember. I was a baby at that time." Aurora admitted.
"Well I wish we could meet them one day." Sweetie Belle said.
"Maybe one day you will girls. Now let's get some berries." Aurora replied.
In the forest, Aurora sees her animal friends and begins to sing; this attracts the attention of Phillip, now a handsome young man. They meet, and immediately fall in love; Aurora invites Phillip to the cottage that evening. Flora and Merryweather argue about the color of Aurora's birthday gown; this attracts the attention of Maleficent's raven, Diablo, who learns the princess' whereabouts. But Phillip wasn't alone. Beside him was Tender Taps who is not Philip's adopted son; just his protoge. He was wearing a Prince outfit and has A brown horse with a blonde mane. His name is Powermus.
"Oh hello there. Who might you be?" Aurora asked.
"Greetings ma'am. Im Prince Tender Taps. Im Phillip's protege." He answered.
"Yes he's with me and I am currently training him to be a great bodyguard." Phillip replied.
Suddenly he spotted Apple Bloom and felt something in his chest. He then walked to her and she did the same thing.
"Well hello there. What's your name? Im Tender Taps." He introduced.
"I am Apple Bloom. It's certainly a pleasure meeting you." She said.
"You as well. Hey would it be okay if I visited the cottage to see you? I wish to get to know you more." Tender asked.
"Sure you can." Apple Bloom answered.
"Well it seems like my protege has a lover. What about you? What's your name?" Phillip asked.
"My name is..." She said but realized what would happen if she did. "Oh I can't tell you! Goodbye!"
"Wait! When will I see you again?" Phillip asked.
"Oh never!" Aurora replied.
"Never?" Phillip asked.
"Well maybe someday. Tonight at the cottage! Come on girls!" Aurora said as her daughters ran to her and headed home.
"I promise to never forget you Tender!" Apple Bloom shouted.
"Me either Apple Bloom! Hope to see you around!" Tender said.
As soon as the girls disappeared the boys were wondering what to do next.
"What should we do now Prince Phillip?" Tender asked.
"We should return to the castle. I wish to inform father about the girl. And the girl that you took a liking too." Phillip replied.
"Yes. Let's us make haste!" Tender said getting on Powermus and Phillip on his horse and rode back to the castle.
Back at home, Aurora tells her guardians that she has fallen in love; they tell her that she is a princess, already betrothed to a prince. Meanwhile, Phillip tells his father about the peasant girl he met and wants to marry, despite his prearranged marriage. King Hubert unsuccessfully tries to dissuade him. Cause no matter what happens the two men will soon realize that they will have their true love. And their children were surprised that Aurora was a princess all this time.
"I can't believe that you are a princess. This is a surprise. And Apple Bloom has took a liking to this Tender Taps." Applejack replied.
"I know surprised me too." Aurora admitted.
"So when do we get to meet them?" Big Mac asked.
"You can't. Im sorry my dears but you must never see those boys again. Cause tonight were taking you back to your father." Flora said.
That only made Aurora and Apple Bloom very upset. They ran out the door and everyone tried to stop them but were too late. The other kids were upset at the fairies and trying catching up to them. What will they do to calm them down? Guess we'll wait and see. Meanwhile the boys weren’t going to be held back from their loves. So Samson and Philip follow them to the cottage with Powermus and Tender Taps. And everyone spot Diablo. The bird cawed at the boys and flew away.
“What was that bird doing? Just watching the girls?” Tender wondered.
“I think it was doing more than that. Whoever that bird belongs to is trying to plan something horrible.” Phillip replied.
“Then I suggest that we head to where King Stefan and Queen Leah are and protect the girls.” Tender offered.
“Good idea Tender. That way we will inform them of the situation.” Phillip said.
Then the two rode out to the castle to inform the king and queen about the situation. Will they make it in time? Let’s hope so.
Since Philip and Tender spot Diablo and they're going to warn the king and queen. They finally arrived at the castle and told King Stefan, Queen Leah, and King Hubert all about the crow. And im quite positive that for sure the kings and Queen Leah remember Diablo.
"Father. We spotted a crow. I fear it's Maleficent's. I fear that Maleficent is planning to fulfill the curse tonight." Phillip warned them.
"Wait Phillip. I thought you didn't know who that crow is. I know I don't." Tender said.
"I lied. I do know that crow. That is Diablo. He is Maleficent's pet. I did remember the crow belong to Maleficent back when I was a boy during Aurora's christening." Phillip explained.
"Oh I feared this would happen. Maleficent is making sure that the curse will be completed. If it is then I fear all hope is lost." King Hubert noticed.
"Then we better head to the cottage where we will protect them!" Tender said determined.
"You are right Tender! Let's go!" Phillip shouted.
So the two rode off on their horses in hoping that they will reach them in time.
"Don't worry your highness! We'll bring them back safe and sound!" Tender shouted to the king.
They left the castle and hurried on to rescue the girls. Meanwhile, since Princess Apple Bloom, her mother, and the others are preparing return to the Castle they got on some beautiful gowns. Aurora's was blue and her daughters had different colors. Aurora decided to dress her daughter after putting on her gown. Apple Bloom's was red, Sweetie's was pink, Scootaloo's was a light purple and Applejack's was orange. And since Big mac is going to be a prince, he had on a royal prince outfit.
"So is everyone ready to head to the castle?" Flora asked.
They all agreed and made their way to the Kingdom. But Philip and Tender Taps arrived at the cottage early, just as Princess Apple Bloom, her mother, and the others were about leave for the castle.
"Wait! Don't leave yet! We want to warn you about something!" Phillip said.
"Yes! Maleficent sent her pet here and she's trying to to fulfill the curse!" Tender replied.
"Tender! Boy im glad to see you again!" Apple Bloom said hugging him.
"Me too Apple Bloom. But we have to get out cause Maleficent's crow is trying to get you!" Tender worried.
"What crow?" Apple Bloom asked.
"The one we saw by the window. He is Maleficent's pet raven and accomplice." Tender explained.
"Oh dear. That ain't good. But we haven't seen any crow lately." Applejack replied.
"So you two are the men that my sister and mother took A liking too." Big Mac told them.
"Yes. We are. But we needed to warn you about that crow. Maleficent is trying to get to you! You must stay with us! We can protect you from harm!" Tender suggested.
"I wish we could. But we have to go to the castle. Im sorry. Goodbye brave boys." Aurora said as they all left leaving the boys in the cottage. They were upset but knew they have to protect them. Only for some goons to kidnap them.
So everyone finally arrived at the castle. However the moment they arrived Maleficent appears and lures Aurora away from them to a tower room.
"Mom? Where are you going? And why are you green?" Apple Bloom asked.
The fairies gasped when she mentioned the color green.
"It's Maleficent's doing! She hypnotized her! We got to prevent her to not touch the spinning wheel!" Fauna said.
Everyone nodded and headed off to rescue Aurora. But it was too late as Aurora pricks her finger on a spinning-wheel spindle. The fairies place the sleeping Aurora in the highest tower and cast a spell on the people in the castle, causing them to sleep until their princess awakens. But none of them noticed that Apple Bloom felt her head being dizzy and fell under the curse too. Flora over hears a sleepy conversation between the kings, and realizes that Phillip is the man with whom Aurora has fallen in love.
"Girls we have to bring Phillip here! He's the only one who can save her!" Merryweather told them.
"Yes. And....." Fauna said as she gasped seeing that Apple Bloom was under the sleeping curse too. Applejack gasped the loudest.
"Apple Bloom! What happened?! Speak to me sugarcube!" Applejack cried.
"Oh dear. Maleficent's curse is getting stronger. When I made their bond between Aurora and Apple Bloom to be stronger some of Maleficent's magic must have got in her body. Now only her love can save your sister." Flora explained.
"Well I noticed that Tender Taps as taking a liking to her. Maybe he can save her!" Big Mac suggested.
"Brilliant idea. We must find those two and bring them here! They might be their only hope." Merryweather said.
The others agreed and headed off to find the boys. They all rush to the cottage, only to learn that they had been abducted by Maleficent and her goons. At her domain, the Forbidden Mountain, Maleficent reveals Aurora's identity to Phillip and Tender Taps. She plans to lock them away for a century until he is on the verge of death before releasing him to meet Aurora, who will not have aged a single day. This can only mean trouble for them. Can the gang find them and break them out to save Aurora and Apple Bloom? Or will darkness costume everything they hold dear?
In the room we see Princess Apple Bloom and her adopted mother still sleeping cause of the curse. But everyone had one goal in mind to break it: recuse Prince Philip and Tender Taps. While Apple Bloom was sleeping beside her adopted mother she had a dream. In her dream, she and Tender Taps waltz. They were dancing under the stars while the comets zoomed past them and the stars performed a show.
The sky even changed into different colors of the rainbow making it more lovely. Yeah it was a dream that anyone would love to enjoy. Then we cut back to the real world where we see the gang heading to the Forbidden Mountains where the boys there takin hostage. When Maleficent arrived she reveals Aurora's identity to Phillip and Tender. She plans to lock them away for a century until they are on the verge of death before releasing them to meet Aurora, who will not have aged a single day. Maleficent laughed evily and left the boys alone.
"What are we going to do Phillip? At this rate the girls will forgotten about us by the time were released." Tender worried.
"Don't fear the worse Tender. We'll simply break out and save the girls." Phillip said with courage.
But after trying to escape for an hour or two they had no success. Then to their surprise the fairies and Apple Bloom's family rescue Phillip and Tender and arm them with the magical Swords of Truth and the Shields of Virtue. The boys were happy to see them.
"Oh boy are we glad to see you guys." Tender replied.
"Us too. And Tender? I want you to know that my sister is under the same spell as our mother. But your kiss to Apple Bloom can wake her." Applejack responded.
"Maleficent. Should have known she was completing the curse." Tender growled.
"Thanks for rescuing us. We need to stop Maleficent." Phillip spoke like a warrior.
"We sure do. Our mom and sister need you two to break the curse." Big Mac reminded them.
"Come now boys. You must free the ladies from the curse for good." Flora said.
"We will." They said in unison. They all headed out to awaken the girls but Maleficent wasn't having that. Maleficent surrounds Stefan's castle with a forest of thorns to stop Phillip and the gang, but he breaks through it. She then appears in front of them and transforms into a giant, fire-breathing dragon. They fight, and Phillip kills Maleficent by thrusting his sword into her heart. Tender took his sword and stabbed her in the head instantly killing her as she fell to her demise. Everyone saw the witch falling with anger.
"That was for Apple Bloom you heartless monster." Tender replied.
"You did good Tender. Proud of you. Now let's break the curse from the girls." Phillip said.
So everyone headed to the tower where the ladies were sleeping. When they arrived, Tender Taps was first as he went to Apple Bloom and slowly kissed her. And Phillip did the same thing with Aurora. Apple Bloom started to wake up and yawned.
"Tender? Is that you?" She asked.
"Yes my princess. Your prince has freed you from the curse." Tender answered.
And once she fully open her eyes, she hugged him and cried happy.
"Oh Tender! Thank you!" Apple Bloom cried.
"Your welcome. And now that everyone is safe from the wicked fairy I have one question for Apple Bloom. Will you be my princess Apple Bloom?" Tender confessed.
She cried happy tears and answered. "YES TENDER! I WILL BE YOUR PRINCESS!"
Then the two hugged tightly and shared their first kiss. Everyone awed seeing that sight in front of them. Then Phillip and Aurora stared in each other's eyes and smiled.
"Thank you for saving me." Aurora said.
"Your welcome. I wasn't going to let that witch get away with it. And Aurora? I have one question for you? Will you marry me?" Phillip proposed.
"Yes. Yes I will." Aurora answered.
Then everyone cheered for the marriage that will happen and the fact that Applejack's sister found her true love. All that's left is the wedding.
After Aurora delightedly says yes, the entire kingdom begins preparing for the royal wedding, with Phillip making the horses Samson and Powermus take a bath, while King Hubert and King Stefan tasting the food for the banquet. Queen Leah congratulates her daughter and leaves her to choose her wedding dress. However Aurora has trouble choosing from so many dresses, and is even more confused when choosing the table settings. When Phillip brings her out for a walk, Aurora confesses to him that she is unsure and doubting her ability as a princess. Phillip encourages her and brings Queen Leah to Aurora; the Queen encourages and comforts her daughter, telling her that a princess is not what you do, but most importantly what you are. Overjoyed, Aurora thanks her mother and asks if she can wear her mother's wedding dress, to which she agrees. Then her children came down all ready in their best wedding clothes. Apple Bloom had her red dress, Sweetie had her pink dress, Scootaloo had her light purple dress, Applejack had her orange dress and Big Mac and Tender in their prince outfits.
During the wedding, Aurora appears in her mother's wedding dress, walked down by King Stefan. Phillip walked with her down the alle and once they stand there an elderly man came to the stand and everyone sat down. And Phillip took the veil off of Aurora's face.
"Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of this young man and this young woman in holy grace. The couple have written their vows before we pronounced them. With that said Aurora you may go first." The elderly man started.
Aurora looked into his eyes and began her vow.
"My dearest Phillip. You were the most nicest, and most handsome man I have met in my life. I feared that I wouldn't have found anyone who would spend the rest of my life with. But you came in and answered my prayers. Now not only do I have the prince of my dreams to have but I also have a husband to love on. And I am grateful that it's you." Aurora said as everyone was crying happy tears.
Now it's Phillip's turn for his vow.
"Aurora. From the moment you stepped in my life you showed me what love is. When we met I thought that no one would be perfect for me. But you brought that dream to live and made me happy. I swear to you on this day I will make you and our children happy as much as you made me happy." Phillip said with passion.
Everyone broke in tears hearing those vows. Then Tender and Big Mac came with the rings and presented them. The couple each took a ring as the elderly man began to read the final lines.
"Do you Prince Phillip take Aurora to be your lawful wedded wife? To love and cherish her in good and bad til death do you part?" The elderly man asked.
"I do." Phillip answered.
"And do you Aurora take Prince Phillip to be your lawful wedded husband? To love and cherish him in good and bad til death do you part?" The elderly man asked.
"I do." Aurora answered.
"Then by the power invested in me I pronounce you husband and wife. Phillip you may kiss the bride." The elderly man finished.
The two sealed their love with a kiss and everyone clapped and cheered for the new wedded couple. Wedding bells were ringing and everyone enjoyed the party. Then Aurora has something for Apple Bloom. Since she is a princess now Aurora placed a silver tiara on her head. Applejack's eyes pooled with tears seeing her sister become a princess. And Adam placed a gold crown on Big Mac's head as well. Then Aurora placed a tiara with rubies on Applejack's head.
"I can't believe that my sister is a princess now. Im so happy for you." Applejack smiled.
"Me too sis. And I have my prince for this occasion." Apple Bloom said.
Then a slow song started playing and everyone was waltzing to the music. But Tender Taps had a better idea. He went to Apple Bloom and asked her something.
"Hey Apple Bloom? Would it be okay if I took you to the garden?" Tender asked.
"Sure babe. Let's go." Apple Bloom said as the two made their way to the garden.
They arrived at the garden and everywhere they looked there was beautiful flowers blooming. Then Apple Bloom saw Tender playing a special tune she remembered a very long time ago.
"Tender. How did you that tune was lovely to be hearing?" Apple Bloom wondered.
"Lucky guess. That and I wanted to share a waltz with you. So Apple Bloom? May I have this dance?" Tender asked.
Apple Bloom giggled "You may my prince." She said as she took Tender's hand.
Then like a fairytale ending both Princess Apple Bloom and Tender Taps were doing their waltz in the garden before she lays her head on Tender's neck, while watching behind was Prince Big Mac, Princess Applejack, Princess Sweetie Belle and Princess Scootaloo who couldn't stop seeing them so happy together.
"Were happy for you Apple Bloom. You have your prince charming." Scootaloo smiled.
Then they all headed back inside while Apple Bloom and Tender Taps continued waltzing. And thus my friends ends our story of how Apple Bloom, her sister and brother got a new family and couldn't wait to see what the future holds.
