Many years into the future, the three races of Equestria fight against each other until they need to fight a old threat together.
Sunny Starscout and her new friends restore magic to Equestria, and reunite all three races one more. Though not without the help of a mysterious stallion named Magus Spellblade, and a mech suit called a Armored Core.
Princess Twilight and all of Equestria gathered in Canterlot. The unicorns are focusing on a large barrier spell, led by an old Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon.
“Princess!” said one pony, “Can we really do this? Do you really want us to do this?”
“Yes!” Twilight replied, “This is our only hope at stopping that alicorn!”
Approaching, a moderate magenta alicorn mare flew at top speed. Reaching Canterlot fast. Her eyes are cobalt blue, and mane is a light magenta ish gray and pale light grayish opal. This mare has just recently drained the magic of the dragons in the Dragon Lands. Using their dragon fire as a weapon. The other races have been on defense, and know that if the ponies fail. Then it’s all over. “Queen” Opaline Arcana finally reaches Canterlot and notices the barrier.
“Fools! Do you think this will stop me!?” Opaline exclaimed. Twilight stared down this evil and greedy alicorn.
“We will not let you steal our magic Opaline!” Twilight exclaimed, “This is for every creature except YOU!”
“I’ll have the magic even if it kills me!” Opaline begin to cast a spell. Not just any spell, but a spell of dragon fire! All of the dragon fire magic she stole from the dragons begin to converge from her horn into a sphere. Twilight’s friends, who are also in their old age, gathered beside her. Even her dragon assistant Spike stood beside her. Starlight and Trixie ordered the unicorns to hold the barrier with all of their might, as Twilight three different crystals together.
“Starlight! When I give you the signal, drop the barrier!”
“Are you CRAZY!?” Starlight exclaimed.
“Just trust me on this!” Twilight replied.
The sphere of fire explodes and expands within a circle, incinerating everything within miles as it continues to spread. Some ponies who never made it to Canterlot died or hid to escape the flames in other regions of Equestria. Twilight put the three crystals together and channeled her magic into them.
“Okay Starlight get the unicorns ready, and please duck!” Twilight exclaimed, “On three! One, two… THREE!”
At three the unicorns dropped the barrier, as every pony ducked to the ground. The magical fire and all of the ponies' magic begins to be absorbed into the crystals. ONce it was all done, all of the magic within Equestria and it’s allied nations was absorbed into the crystals. Then fired one magical blast at Opaline, who was sent flying to who knows where. Twilight then split them back into their separate crystals before handing one to the other two races. Keeping on for herself.
“Please forgive me everybody, but this had to be done.” Twilight said with tears in her eyes. One crystal was given to Rainbow Dash and the Pegasi. One went to Applejack and the Earth Ponies. Twili kept the one for the unicorns. “This had to be done so Opaline didn’t steal all of our magic. I don’t know if she’ll ever return, but if she does she’ll never steal our magic ever again like this.”
“What should we do next?” Fluttershy asked, “All of our magic has been sealed away! Even our magic powered technology can’t be used! We even cut ourselves off from our own intergalactic colonies!”
“We’ll have to survive without magic!” Twilight said, on the verge of tears now. “Just like they’ll have to without us. I did send a transmission to all of United Equus explaining the situation. I hope they can put two and two together.”
Ponies began to murmur amongst each other. Twilight spoke again to subside their fears.
“Listen every pony! We may have lost our magic, but we can survive without it! We can rebuild anew and remain as strong as ever! However, there is one downside! If we don’t want Opaline or anyone else to steal the magic and grow powerful! We have to split into our three races, like before Equestria was even founded!”
Every pony went silent and stared at each other.
“But Princess!” One pony exclaimed to the now unicorn Twilight.
“No buts! We have to do this! Just remember that we’re still friends! We’ll do this!” With that Twilight and the unicorns went one way to Southern Equestria. Followed by the Pegasi and then the Earth Ponies.
The Unicorns would settle down in the forest settlement of Bridlewood, the Pgasi would build a settlement near an old airport city called Zephyr Heights, and the Earth Ponies built a city on the coastline called Maretime Bay. All three settlements continued to trade, over time this peace would change as new leaders took over and content between the three races was sown. Thus begins the story that will unfold in the future. The day Equestria was destroyed by dragon fire was called the Fires of Equestria!
Night time outside the forest settlement of Unicorns, known as Bridlewood. A lone blue unicorn stallion walks through the forest. Just minding his business as he trots along. Just then several fighter jets flew past overhead. He managed to look up and sigh before continuing on his way.
“Looks like Bridlewood is attacking, or defending something. Though against who?” he said to himself. His spiky red mane blows in the night breeze and his glowing purple eyes glow in the night. Allowing him to see in the dark.
Elsewhere near the city of Maretime Bay. Earth Pony fighters were quickly launched. As both the Pegasi and the Unicorns were arriving. Yet despite being in a three way war with each other. These forces weren’t trying to kill each other. They were trying to stop a group of ponies, consisting of all three races, running to the city’s lighthouse.
“Okay we’ll get the third Crystal and put them together!” said a light vermillion Earth Pony mare, with moderate turquoise eyes and hair that is a moderate orchid combined with moderate heliotrope.
Next to her was a unicorn mare with a grayish mulberry coat, moderate orchid eyes, and a mane of cornflower blue and cobalt blue hair. Then there were two Pegasi. The first one is light gray, with moderate cyan eyes, and a brilliant rose mane that also has a brilliant rose and moderate cyan highlights. The other Pegasus has a coat of pale lightish gray fuschia, moderate spring bud eyes, and a mane of two shades of moderate violet. Then there was the sole Earth Pony stallion with a light amber coat, moderate tangelo eyes, and a moderate and brilliant turquoise mane.
“We’re almost there guys!” The Mulberry unicorn, Izzy Moonbow said.
Pipp Petals, the fuschia pegasus, turns to the light gray pegasus of her sister, Zipp Storm.
“You know we’re in so much trouble with mom, right!?”
Zipp was breathing heavily from all of the running, “Yeah we’re going to be grounded for life!”
The stallion turned to the vermillion mare and leader of the group, Sunny Starscout.
“I know and I’m sorry but we need this! We need to come together as one again!”
The five ran into Sunny’s home, the Lighthouse. As the jet fighters from all three settlements arrived and began dogfighting to see who got to destroy the lighthouse.
“Come on! Come get me!” A stallion with a light amaranth coat, light malachite green eyes, and a pale light grayish gamboge mane, said. “I’m the sheriff of this town! Me!”
The planes continue to use countermeasures, dodging and firing at each other. Only a few pilots were downed, and managed to parachute out to safety. Where they just tried to fight each other hoof to hoof in frustration.
Inside the lighthouse Sunny found the third and final crystal piece As the place began falling apart from the battle outside.
Above in the planet Equus’ orbit, a starship was spying on the denizens of Equestria. A unicorn stallion sits in his seat in the center of the bridge, watching the fight. A female white anthropomorphic fox walks onto the bridge and to the unicorn.
“What’s going on down there?” she asked.
“Captain Venus! Ma’am!” the pony got out his seat and saluted. Captain Venus Hart salutes back.
“You may be seated Mindstorm! Just what is going on down there?”
Mindstorm took his seat, and showed the battle raging on the main monitor.
“Looks bad!” Venus said, “Mindstorm, get the AC ready!”
“You mean the Raven?” Mindstorm asked, “Are you sure we need to send it? This could backfire badly on us.”
“Yes it could but we need to drop it somewhere it’s safe from these battling ponies. Scan for someplace less populated.”
Mindtorm did as he was ordered to do. He found a clearing a bit away from Bridlewood. He pointed to it and Venus nodded. Mindstorm salutes and enters a command into his console.
In the hanger workers put the Raven class Armored Core together. The upper half is a robot with energy rifles held in the hands, a single multi-missile launcher in between two EMP cannons on the back. As well as laser blades mouthed on the wrists, used like bird talons to shred or scratch opponents in melee combat. The head has protective metal pieces in the shape of a raven head, and the hips has two magnetic strips that hold the rifles. Its lower half are a pair of inverted legs, making it more resemble the legs of a bird. As well as protective metal wings on the back with booster rockets. Making the Raven able to hover and fly to move around. The entire AC is painted black with blue accents. One worker called up to the bridge.
“The Raven is ready!” He said, “It’s AI controlled until a pilot takes over controls!”
“Glad to hear it!” Venus replied, "Mindstorm!" Launch the Raven!”
“Launching!” Mindstorm slammed his hoof down onto a red button on the holographic keyboard. In the hangar everyone cleared, as the Raven is enveloped into a pod, and as the engines of the Raven’s launch pod flared off. Propelling the Raven forward, as it was launched via the catapult. The Raven flew down towards the planet, Using its pod to resist burning up in the planet’s atmosphere.
The blue unicorn laid in front of a fire outside his solitary cabin inside the woods. He has spent all of his adult life here. Well at least ever since he found a special power, a long lost magic that only he has been able to harness for himself. It was his punishment to be exiled from Bridlewood, by the settlement’s leader Alphabittle. This pony didn’t seem to mind, he was always alone anyway. He was in his own thoughts when the Raven crashed into the forest near his cabin. It brought him out of his thoughts. He looked and saw the pod opening up like a flower blooming. The Raven drew his curiosity. He made his way towards the mecha, looking for the cockpit door to enter. Only for the door to open itself. Beckoning him inside.
THe unicorn had to use his “shadow magic” in order to climb his way up. Creating shadow tendrils to act as hands in order to climb. Finally entering the cockpit. The door closes once he sits down, terrifying him.
“Um hello?” he asked, “Can I get out please?”
The console lit up as well as the rest of the cockpit. Then a female synthesized voice spoke up.
“Welcome! I am this Armored Core’s AI, Morrigan.”
“Um hi Morrigan! I’m Magus Spellblade and I want out!” the unicorn replied.
“You are my new pilot!” Morrigan said, “Right now there are five ponies being hunted by several fighter jets and if we don’t do anything, they will die!”
Magus didn’t want this, nor asked for this. Yet his conscience wouldn’t let him forgive himself if he let innocent ponies die.
“Alright, fine! I’ll help just this once!” Magus exclaimed, “But I don’t want to kill anyone!”
“Noted!” Morrigan has the Raven holster the guns onto the magnetic strips and raises the EMP cannons onto the shoulders. As the Raven took to the sky to find those five ponies and stop the jet fighters of all three races.
“Please note your callsign from now on is ‘Raven’!” Morrigan stated.
“Raven… Got it!” Magus replied.
As the Raven was on its way. The three sides were now fighting each other while trying to destroy Sunny Starscout’s home. Her new friends Zipp Storm, Pipp Petals, Izzy Moonbow and Hitch Trailblazer were gathered inside the vermillion mare’s house.
“So what are we looking for?” Zipp asked Sunny.
“A circular gemstone!” Sunny replied, “Something that will fit in the center of this unity crystal!”
ONe pegasus fighter fires missiles at the ground. Fortunately, it doesn’t hit Sunny’s home directly, but near the main entrance. The resulting explosion destroys the front door and sends the ponies inside flying a few feet, along with a lamp that breaks completely. Revealing a circular clear diamond crystal, that improved the lamp’s lighting. Sunny smiles when she sees it.
“There it is!” Sunny grabs the third and final gem and puts it in the center of the Unity Crystal. A crystal containing all of the magic of ponykind, that Twilight Sparkle sealed inside a century ago. In an incident called the Fires of Equestria.
Outside Zipp and Pipp’s mother Queen Haven arrived with Phyllis Cloverleaf, the de facto leader of Earth Ponies and Alphabittle, the leader of Unicorns. All three watched the chaos in stunned silence. This was not supposed to happen. Sunny Starscout was to be stopped, not executed!
“This is pure chaos!” Alphabittle said, “Phyllis, was this your idea?”
“No!” Phyllis exclaimed, “I wanted her to be stopped, not killed!”
It finally dawned on Phyllis, who is responsible for even suggesting the idea of this insanity, her son Sprout. Speaking of Sprout…
“Why are you all missing!?” Sprout shouted into his comm unit, “Take out those enemy fighters! I’ll handle Sunny Starscout! How dare she try to re-unite the tribes.”
The Earth Pony fighters break formation to engage enemy targets. While Sprout targeted Sunny’s house. It was then that two EMP beams hurl towards two small groups of the fighters. Exploding into an area of effect blast. Causing the pilots to effect as their planes go crashing onto the ground nearby.
“What was that!?” Sprout exclaimed, Then he saw the Raven approaching hard and fast.
“Now’s our chance!” Sunny told the others. As they thought of how to activate the crystal. As the three leaders found their way inside.
“Zipp! Pipp!” Haven runs up to her daughters and hugs them. Alphabittle checks on Izzy.
Hitch stood next to Sunny as she tried and failed to get the crystal to work, when Phyllis approached them.
“Sunny! I’m sorry!” Phyllis stated, “This was not my intention for this! I only wanted to stop you on this crazy crusade!”
Sunny stopped and stared down at the unity crystal. All of the magic of all three pony races is right there and it can’t be unlocked. She sheds a single tear.
“You were right…” Sunny said, “This crystal is useless! I can’t get it to activate!”
Phyllis and Hitch hug Sunny and comfort her as she sobs. More tears landing on the crystal.
Outside more and more jets were hit with an EMP blast from the shoulder mounted cannons. All pilots bailed once their jets were out of action. When they landed they all ran at each other to fight hoof to hoof.
“This is insane!” Magus said, “Even without their jets and weapons, they’re still fighting! Exactly why are they doing this! WHAT IS THE FIGHTING ALL FOR!?”
Then a light shone within Sunny’s lighthouse. Inside Sunny was still sobbing until she saw the unity crystal glowing. “Look!”
Everybody stopped and stared at the crystal. It was glowing brighter and brighter until A rainbow light shot out into the sky. Then it split into multiple rainbow light ribbons that engulfed the ponies. Some tried to run away, but they were caught up in it as well. Finally each pony was able to fly if Pegasus, use physical magic if Unicorn and grow plants instantly. Even Magus was able to use his actual magic talent instead of his shadow magic.
“This is AWESOME!” Magus exclaimed.
“That is nice and all, but we have one more enemy in the sky and we’re out of EMP shots!” Morrigan said, “The cannons have to cool down and recharge in order to be used again!”
Magus saw Sprout’s jet in front of him hovering. “What can we use?”
“Only one thing… Though I suggest you aim for the wings.” Morrigan said.
In the cockpit Sprout was furious! He was growling like an animal. Here was this mysterious thing taking down every fighter jet and now it was gunning for him. Sprout pushed forward to the AC, and the AC activated it’s laser “talon” blades. Then flew towards the jet fighter.
Both pilots screamed in fury as they neared each other. Everyone stopped to see the AC lower itself, while raising the Raven Talons and slicing off the wings Sprout bailed quickly, as he parachuted down, Phyllis used her Earth Pony magic to grow a large stalk to catch him and bring him down to her.
“Oh hi mommy!” He said, “Was I a good sheriff?”
Phyllis shook her and signed. “Sprout, you know I love no matter what… Saying that… You were NOT a good sheriff! You started a homicidal war between the races! You almost killed your life long friends Hitch and Sunny! So… YOU ARE IN A BIG TROUBLE MISTER!”
Sprout lowered his ears and looked at his mother in wide eyed shock. This was a new side of her!
Everyone in the destroyed lighthouse walked outside as the Raven landed.
“Now who is inside this thing?” Alphabittle asked.
“Could this be like those old weapons from ancient Equestria, my dad studied?” Sunny asked, “I think they were called Titans.”
“Don’t think so Sunny!” Hitch says.
The cockpit door opened. Then tension of who this mysterious pilot was, the pilot that helped end a war that could’ve killed dozens if not hundreds of ponies. Magus used his new magical powers to lower himself down to the ground. Which surprised Alphabittle and Izzy. The others were confused.
“MAGUS SPELLBLADE!?” both exclaimed.
“That’s right!” Magus said. “This mecha just crashed and landed near my cabin in the forest!”
“We’re just surprised to see you again!” Izzy said, “Ever since you were exiled for finding that magical power!”
“What magical power?” Sunny asked.
As if on cue, Magus created several shadow tendrils. Creeping out the others but making Sunny fascinated. “This very power is what the Unicorns of Bridlewood are so afraid of. The power to control shadows freely!”
Somewhere inside a dark castle on the side of a mountain. Stood a moderate magenta alicorn mare with moderate cobalt blue eyes and a light magentaish gray and pale light grayish opal mane. Along with her only minion, a sky blue unicorn mare with mint green eyes and a navy blue and teal green mane. Both watch as a space shuttle from the starship in orbit lands, and the entire group are talking to Venus and Mindstorm.
“It’s back! The magic is back and soon I’ll reclaim what is mine!” The alicorn then laughed maniacally.
Later when Magus returned the Raven to its pod, he went back to his cabin with Venus and Mindstorm.
“So will you join us? Right now we have a mission on the planet Rubicon. The cult Quasar is targeting our Coral Refineries, and we have to stop them!” Venus said.
“Will I be able to return back here once it’s over?” Magus asked. Venus nods.
“Alright! I’m in!”
“Oh thank you Magus!” Venus said.
“By the way, what is the name of your squadron that I’ll be helping?” Magus asked.
“You are now a member of Task Force Pulsar and the ship is called the Buster!” Venus said.
“Alright! Sounds good!” Magus gets up and extinguishes his fire. Before joining the two soldiers on board their ship. The pod containing the Raven lifted off and escaped the atmosphere with its leftover fuel, before going back to the Buster.
The Buster pulled out of hyperdrive and in front of them is the planet Rubicon. Home of Coral, whatever that is… However the planet looks like it’s…
“Is that planet on fire!?” Magus asked.
“It’s not fire!” Mindstorm said, “It’s…”
“Coral!” Venus finished Mindstorms sentence. As more of the crew reached the bridge to see the spectacle before them. One was a male Litten Pokemorph, and the other being a female Glaceon Pokemorph.
“Artemis! Pyros!” Venus cried out. “You two and Magu get to your ACs now! We’re sending you in to investigate how and why this happened!”
The Raven was put onto the catapult first.
“Magus Spellblade! Callsign: Raven! Launching!” The Raven launched out of the ship, as Artemis Solaris’ AC called the Luna, was put on the catapult.
“Artemis Solaris! Callsign: Luna! Launching!” The Luna was launched as the catapult reset and Pyro’s AC, the Ignis was ready.
“Pyros Firestorm! Callsign: Ignis! Launching!” Then the Ignis was launched out of the Buster. All three ACs sped toward the planet with their thrusters.
“Look at this planet!” Pyros said, “Think anyone survived here!?”
“We’ll soon see, but it’s highly unlikely!” Artemis said, “There!”
Artemis saw a small group of at least five ACs leaving the planet’s atmosphere. All five look mass produced.
“Those are not ACs!” Artemis said.
“If they’re not ACs! Then what in Tartarus are they!?”
“They’re a class of Muscle Tracers, or MTs for short!” Pyros said, “Those four yellow ones are subordinate MTs, and the red one in the center are the command units! However, these five couldn’t have caused all of this Coral to be released.”
“So they’re being led by an AC!?” Artemis asked.
“Exactly!” Pyros replied, then his radar beeped. The five Bishops noticed them and are heading this way.
“Looks like we have company!” Magus said, “Go time?”
“Go time little pony!” Pyros said as the three ACs engaged the enemy. Magus whipped out the energy rifles and aimed them at one of the Bishops. The targeting reticule tried to lock onto one of the Bishops, but was having trouble locking on.
“Come on you piece of… GAH!” Magus just pulled the trigger on the two rifles and they fired. Sending out short bursts of three energy beams toward the Bishops, who dodged the beams.
“Shit!” Magus cursed. He fired another burst of three shots, both actually hit their targets this time. Taking two of them out.
“Splash two!” Magus said excitedly.
“You mean splash two bandits?” Artemis said.
“Yeah whatever you say!” Magus cleared his throat and joined the other two ACs. Ignis, being a heavy cavalry unit ran on a hover tank to get around. Using it’s thrusters to maintain it’s altitude in Rubicon’s orbit. Pyros locks on the command Bishop and fires the missile launcher on its back. Destroying it.
The Luna is a smaller framed AC, used for general mobility and stealth. It runs on two normal mech legs, and uses mostly a sniper rifle and laser blades. Keeping her two Bishops at a distance, She aims and locks on. Firing two shots that home in on her targets and destroying them.
“Piece of cake!?” Artemis said, “I just now realized that these HAVE to be a distraction!”
“A distraction from what though?” Pyros replied.
“I don’t know, but this fishy!”
It was indeed a distraction, as nearby two ACs left Rubicon’s atmosphere during the fight. One was a heavy cavalry hover tank, like the Ignis and the other one was more stealth based like the Luna. This stealth model has two shoulder mounted sniper rifles that are capable of locking on two targets at once. Its main weapons are twin hand held laser blades.
“Our destruction worked, they feel for it.” said the stealth AC pilot.
“As predicted!” said the other pilot, “Now let’s get out of here Raven!”
“Are you sure?” Raven said. “I hear they have a Raven within their ranks!”
“We did what we came here for! We released all of the Coral! The High Priest won’t be happy that we disobeyed him!”
“Alright!” Raven said, “Let’s get out of here!”
Back onboard the Buster the three were debriefed and were dismissed.
“Oh Magus! A word?” Venus said, and Magus stayed behind in Venus’ office, “You have adapted well with the Raven. I’m proud of you. It’s like you’re a natural!”
“I’ve had some help from the AI, Morrigan!” Magus saluted before leaving. Venus sat at her desk nodding.
Magus enters the bridge, as Mindstorm waves him over. “Hey Magus! It seems backup has arrived and has started getting the Coral under control.”
“That’s good right?” Magus asked.
“It is!” Mindstorm replied.
Something was nagging Magus. He met one of the few ponies aboard this vessel, he wondered how they came to be a part of the crew.
“Say Mindstorm… I was wondering why you and the other ponies are onboard this vessel. How did ponies get on here? I’ve only known that ponies living on Equus as you called my homeworld. I’m just curious what happened?”
“Ponies have been living on many planets for over a century.” Mindstorm said, “To be precise Ponykind explored the stars and made allies among other space faring races of the galaxy. It all started over a century ago when communication with Equus just ended. No explanation or anything. Just radio silence. Pony colonies tried to regain contact, but to avail! Since our homeworld was gone or so we thought the then United Pokemorph Federation threw us a bone. Then President Jill Rivers made and offer to fully join the Federation until contact was re-established. We accepted the offer. However the Federation sent ships to re-establish contact with Equus. It was then that ponykind in the Galactic community learned that there was no magic on Equus anymore, and all three races lived separately again. My ancestors viewed this as a betrayal. Not only that but Princess Twilight Sparkle was missing. Canterlot was destroyed as well! We tried to figure out what happened ourselves with our new allies. We never did. Sure there were many theories, but we never settled on just one…”
“Afterwards other galactic races joined us, from different dimensions. Humans and others. Then the Unified Pangalactic Federation was born!” Venus said entering the bridge and taking her seat.
“That’s right Captain!” Mindstorm said saluting.
“With you here maybe you can finally fill us in on what happened?” Venus asked.
“Well I’m fully unaware of what happened. Just that the races hated each other and you all know what happened that day I found the Raven.” Magus said.
“Tell me your story. What made you… you!” Mindstorm said.
Magus tensed up. He was not in the mood of telling about his past or even how he got his special shadow magic. “Um, I've got to go run a simulation again!”
He quickly galloped off the bridge and to the simulation training room.
“What was that about Captain?” Mindstorm asked.
“I don’t know but don’t push it.” Venus said, “He’ll tell us when he’s good and ready!”
“Yes Captain!”
Magus piloted the VR version of the Raven through a desolate cityscape. When a squadron of aerospace fighters entered his radar range. All are known as the Type 20 Cazador aerospace fighters that have been around and constantly improved over the last century of the Federation.
“Enemy targets sighted!” came the voice of the ship’s AI. Magus target all of the fighters and fired missiles. The missles broke into smaller ones and went for their respective targets. Some were hit and some used EMP pulses to knock out their incoming missiles. Magus cursed under his breath and went into evasive maneuvers to avoid those surviving Cazadors. He uses his own EMP rifles to short out the missiles fired at him, and aimed his rifles at the Cazadors. Firing he hit two of them but there was still one more left, and it was giving him trouble.
“Come on!” Magus exclaimed. The Raven was out maneuvering and avoiding the remaining Cazador’s firepower. He even countered missiles with the EMP cannons, until they were out of energy. So he took aim and fired with the remaining energy in his rifles. Destroying the missiles aimed at him. He would do a better job if he was able to bring Morrigan into the simulation. Which he couldn’t, and even if he could. He wanted to learn how to pilot his AC without her. "Git gud” as they say, and yes it was spelled like that. Magus kept the last of his rifle ammo as the Cazador fired the last of its missiles. Magus smirked to himself as he had an idea. He allowed the missiles to chase him, as he lead them behind the Cazador, and flew past it. The missiles were dumb enough to hit their own fighter, downing the Cazador as the simulation ended. When Magus climbed out he saw Venus standing there, waiting for him.
“Captain! What are…?”
“Look you may not want to talk about your past right now and I understand! However, please don’t do something like running off to do something else again! We’ll understand if you don’t want to talk right now!”
“Understood Captain!!” Magus said.
The PA system came on as Mindstorm spoke up.
“You won’t believe this! But we’re getting our first message from Equus!” he said.
“Uh weird… Did they get their magical technology working again?” Venus asked Magus confusingly. Magus just shrugged as both went back to the bridge.
Back on the bridge Venus and Magus saw Izzy and Sunny on their main monitor.
“Hello!” Izzy said, “Any pony there? Hello? We’re just sending this message on random channels! Because we don’t know if we’re doing it right!”
Magus looked and noticed something different about Sunny. He noticed she had a horn and wings made out of light, and a rainbow streak in her mane.
“This is Captain Venus of the UMV Buster! We read you Equus! It’s been forever!”
“Oh someone got our signal, Sunny!” Izzy said.
“We would like to know how you found us!” Venus asked.
“We’re just sending this signal through various channels as we don’t know what we’re really doing!” Izzy said, “This equipment seems to respond to magical energy that Sunny here used in her new alicorn form! So we’re not sure how this all works.”
“Captain, should they really be sending a random signal everywhere within the multiverse?” Magus asked.
“Not really, but your planet hasn’t been in contact for over a century.” Venus replied
“So we’re just trying out this old outdated…” Izzy was cut off by the signal being terminated, followed by nothing but static.
“Get us back to Equus now!” Venus ordered and everyone got into their assigned stations, as the Buster set course for Magus’ home world.
