Dazzling Love
"So ya really gonna do it Dagi? Huh, huh, huh?" Sonata asked, her giddy excitement clearly grated on Aria's nerves who was sitting next to her.
"Ugh Nata she already said she was gonna do it, quit bugging her about it dweeb." The abrasive siren retorted to the youngest bubbly siren.
"I'm just so excited! Hehehe I can't wait to see the look on her face!" Sonata giggled as she practically bounced up and down in her seat.
"On that we can agree, the look on Shimmer's face is gonna be priceless." Aria chuckled as she cracked open a can of soda and took a sip.
Adagio for her part allowed her two sisters to talk as she herself sat on the couch, notebook in hand and earbuds in her ears. She had been writing something for the past 15 minutes and her focus had hardly shifted save but to grab something to drink or munch on one of the many pieces of fruit she had available, she had strawberries today.
'It needs to be perfect, I need her to understand EXACTLY how I feel. What I want.' Adagio thought to herself as she kept writing, pencil scribbling at the bottom pages of her notebook. Tapping the pencil to her cheek in thought, she processed the lyrics in her head and hummed the beat and tune, making sure she was harmonizing properly. Once she felt she was at the right key and pitch, she finished her writing and smiled widely as she set down her pencil and smooched the paper she had just finished writing on.
"And she's done." Aria said, knowing this gesture meant Adagio had finished writing another 'masterpiece.'
"Can we hear it?" Sonata asked with pleading eyes.
Adagio had taken out her earbuds just in time to hear Sonata's question and to that, Adagio grinned and wagged a finger.
"Ah, ah, ah; no spoilers Sonata. This one is for the little pony's ear's only, you know the traditions." Adagio said with a smirk and light blush on her cheeks at the thought of singing this to Sunset.
"Heh to think YOU would ever follow that tradition after trashing it for so long." Aria laughed as she burped and took another sip of her soda.
"Heheh yeah, you used to HATE love songs!" Sonata proclaimed.
"Times change, people change, magic changes; frankly I still can't believe how foolish we were to never try to feed on positive energy but the past is the past. Now that we know we can, it's high time we used our singing talents to make others truly happy and I want to show Sunset my thanks for not just giving us our magic back, but our natural voices."
"Yeah, that was pretty cool of her even after everything we did." Aria said solemnly
"Yeah, we really were pretty mean to her but at least we're all friends now though right? Oh! I almost forgot! It's Tuesday! I have to go meet with Pinkie! Good luck with Sunset! Bye girls!" Sonata said as she grabbed her backpack full of cooking supplies and rushed out of the door shouting "IT'S TACO TUESDAY!"
"I swear it's a miracle she isn't fat with how many of those she eats every week." Aria said, shaking her head as she got up herself, stretching and letting her joints pop.
"It all goes to her boobs, you know that." Adagio teased and rolled her eyes.
"Heh sounds like you're jealous." Aria snarked with a shark-like grin towards her elder sister.
"You're one to talk, I'll remind you I am two cup sizes bigger than you" Adagio huffed and haughtily flipped her hair and smirked back at Aria. "And besides? All my extra power is put into my hips and we all know how mesmerizing they can be"
Aria blushed as Adagio wiggled her hips, turning away as she grumbled. "One time. I stare, ONE fucking time..."
"Oh I think we both know it was more than once." Adagio laughed
"Fuck you!"
"No thanks, I'm into unicorns."
"Ugh why are you like this!?" Aria pulled at her pigtails.
"Love you too grumpy. Anyway I imagine you are off to the gym to meet Rainbow?" Adagio asked as she still sat on the couch in the corner of their RV.
"Yep, after that we were gonna get in some break dancing practice. Got a contest coming up and I plan to show off." Aria smirked as she grabbed her gym bag and laced up her sneakers.
"I keep telling you to learn how to twerk; Rainbow would LOVE it." Adagio teased and laughed at the flustered expression Aria made.
"I am NOT learning that thot shit Adagio, stop it." Aria rolled her eyes and scoffed at the idea, Adagio just wouldn't let it go.
"Hey don't be mad at me cause I know what's trendy and you've got the buns of steel for it; it couldn't hurt to take my advice once in a while." Adagio shrugged and crossed one leg over the other, checking her nails as one of her legs swung back and forth.
"After all, who has the highest seduction count amongst us again?"
Aria grumbled under her breath "You do"
Adagio put a hand to her ear and leaned forward. "I'm sorry, what was that?"
Aria groaned. "You do! Fine, okay I get it; you're good at being a slut but that doesn't mean I gotta always follow your lead if there's a girl I like."
Adagio scoffed and put a hand to her chest at being called a slut though it was clear she was expressing faux outrage. "Why I never! I'll have you know my methods of seduction are quite family friendly."
"Tch, yeah right. Bet you're gonna twerk for Sunset when she shows up and this RV is gonna be shaking by the time you two are finished on stage." Aria grumbled as she marched out of the RV, clearly triggered and not allowing Adagio a word in. "Just spray the RV this time! Not trying to smell your after sex when I come back."
"Have fun!" Adagio waved her sister off and flipped her off as a final comment since she refused to let her speak further.
Now that the RV was alone, Adagio had time to prepare. It was still pretty early in the morning and Sunset had college classes to attend, however Adagio would use this time to prepare for her arrival, after all that lion's mane she called her hair required HOURS of prep work. Checking her phone, she saw she had enough time to take a trip to the salon and be back by the time Sunset arrived. Looking at her nails she pouted a little at the blandness of them and decided she would get a manicure if time allowed it.
She couldn't wait for the moment of truth, the moment she had been fantasizing about ever since she made the realization of her feelings and accepted them. She truly thought that this moment would never come for her, that she would live her eternal life having never known true love and yet? Here she was, feeling this....swelling in her heart and soul. It begged, yearned for release! To be heard and it only needed one audience and the image of a certain fiery haired woman came to mind, her cheeks burning again and fingers touching the new gem that was fastened around her neck. It was an orange gemstone that matched her hair but the big difference between this gem and her old one was that this one was in the shape of a heart.
"Wait for me, little pony."
Adagio said as she went to the front of the and got in the driver's seat and started up the van, driving off to her next destination.
Having finished their classes early today and since she had no one to tutor, Sunset and Rarity decided to kill some time by walking through the mall as friends tended to do. Sunset adored spending days like this with Rarity and took time to enjoy them whenever she could though today she did have something or rather someone else on her mind that she was eager to spend time with. This of course didn't go unnoticed by Rarity.
"So darling, how are things coming along with Adagio?" Rarity asked Sunset as the two walked through the mall, stopping at a nearby shop.
"Better than I ever could have imagined really. We had a rocky start at the beginning after the whole time loop incident but once I really got to know her and promised to find a way to help her sing and use magic again? She really isn't all bad and it was those gems that truly made them so...horrible."
"Quite, I can imagine that is the natural side effect of basically eating negative emotions to sustain themselves. Luckily that will no longer be needed correct?"
"Yep, now that they have those new gems that we helped create with our magic? They don't have to feed on negative emotions and feel miserable all the time. I know personally that leads to a path of self destruction, all they really wanted was to be loved and adored but they took it too far."
"Indeed, well I am certainly glad we were able to help them and make new friends in the process. I take it you are helping Adagio again today?" Rarity asked with a smirk.
"Yeah, she's got a show coming this weekend and wants me to help her practice while Aria and Sonata are gone." Sunset said as she shuffled through a couple different outfits, trying to find a shirt she liked that would go good with her jeans.
"I see; you two have been getting quite close haven't you? Why I dare say you might have found a new best friend. Careful darling, Twilight just might get jealous" Rarity teased, a playful bit of ribbing at Sunset's expense.
"Hmph, oh ha-ha; very funny Rarity. So I got a little...clingy, with Sc-Twi when I found out this world's Starlight was her childhood best friend who secretly had a crush on her...You would've done the same thing!" Sunset said, a blush burned into her cheeks as she recalled her jealous phase when Twilight had rekindled her friendship with her childhood friend Starlight Glimmer. They all attended Everton College together but Starlight and Twilight had grown particularly close lately, her jealousy had gotten to a point where she started acting spiteful towards Starlight and it reminded her of how she used to be which Sunset didn't like.
Luckily though she was able to move past it after a chat with Twilight and Starlight, expressing how she felt and apologizing for being possessive of Twilight. It just went to show Sunset that even though she was an expert on friendship, that she still had a lot of growing to do as a person. Rarity giggled and pat Sunset on the back reassuring her with a kind smile.
"Oh quite right, in fact I did do the same thing or rather was in a similar situation if you recall our trip to the amusement park senior year. I hadn't had Applejack yell at me like that since well...the time we well...you know." Rarity knew 'that' incident was one that Sunset didn't like to discuss as it was a moment of shame that still haunts her to this day.
"Yeah, I remember. That...That was hard to watch; but I am glad you two made up in the end" Sunset said, remembering the event and frowning at the thought of it.
"Indeed and I am as well. Oh! This blouse would look fabulous on you dear!" Rarity held up a white blouse, the sleeves were puffy and revealed her shoulders.
Looking at the blouse, Sunset had to agree. It was beautiful, her size and most importantly? It was on sale! Looking over the blouse she nodded and took the article of clothing from Rarity.
"Sold to the woman with flame hair." Sunset said as she walked off to the counter, Rarity following along giggling in excitement. As Sunset went to purchase the blouse, she got a text message and upon looking at her phone she grinned knowingly but Sunset wasn't paying attention.
"Getting my hair and nails done, keep her distracted; it's almost show time!"
Rarity would text back at lightning speed.
"Excellent darling, your little pony will be good and ready by the time you are done!"
"Ready to go Rarity?" Sunset asked
"Hm? Oh yes of course darling; sorry for the distraction on my part. Sweetie Belle was texting me, she's practicing for this year's musical showcase if you haven't heard!"
"Oh yeah I remember that, heh haven't had one of those since we were in High School. How time fly's right? Heck the Fall formal is right around the corner too. Ah memories." Sunset said with fond reverence of those events and the first time she ever met Adagio. Giggling to herself as she thought back on it, she should've known from the jump that they were evil but at the time the rose colored tint of friendship had dulled her senses enough for them to slip by her.
"Indeed, though I imagine it'll be a less eventful showcase than the one we participated in, nevertheless I have high hopes for my little Sweetie Belle. She's been taking singing lessons from Adagio you know, I have to say she is a true darling when it comes to that voice of hers. Such power, such grace and the way she can harmonize? It's really no wonder she's the leader of the Dazzlings."
"Heh geez glaze her some more why don't cha Rarity; if I didn't know any better I would say you were crushing on her." Sunset teased, delighted in the pink tint that crossed Rarity's cheeks.
"Hmph, how uncouth. I'll have you know I am a one apple kind of gal thank you very much." Rarity turned her nose up in a haughty fashion.
"Yeah, the moaning that comes from AJ's barn every weekend is proof enough of that!" Sunset laughed and moved away from Rarity's swatting hand, giggling like a schoolgirl at her flustered friend.
"Hmph, even after all these years you can still be such a bully" Rarity teased and rolled her eyes playfully.
"Old habits die hard and you girls love my teasing" Sunset grinned widely showing her teeth.
Rarity shivered and blushed at that smile Sunset was giving her and kept walking along.
"I swear Adagio is rubbing off on you in so many ways."
"Ha, you say that like it's a bad thing."
"Oh on the contrary darling. I think it's quite perfect, she truly brings out the best in you."
Sunset blushed at hearing that as they continued to walk. Thinking about her relationship with Adagio, it really was amazing to see just how similar they were while also being so very different but it were those similarities and differences that drew Sunset to Adagio like a moth to a flame. She intrigued her, fascinated her, befuddled her; what Sunset truly wanted was to understand Adagio, to unravel the mystery hidden behind that sultry voice and mass of curly orange hair. It also helped that Adagio was BEAUTIFUL and Sunset would be lying to herself if she said she hadn't caught herself staring at Adagio's hips swaying whenever she sang and danced on stage.
Rarity was also right about how close they'd gotten lately and all the time they'd been spending together. Adagio had no need for college but she still performed shows on the college campus whenever they had big games and it was there that the two had truly begun their relationship. Adagio and the Dazzlings had set up 'camp' near the campus and would perform their shows, eventually they'd caught the attention of the campus dean and were offered jobs of sorts as entertainers and the Dazzlings happily accepted. Not long after this Sunset found herself 'keeping an eye' on Adagio to make sure she wasn't up to no good and much to her surprise? She wasn't; there was no scheme, no nefarious plan, no plots for revenge or to even get their magic back.
The Dazzlings truly just wanted to start over and make the best of their time on Earth. Now that they didn't have those cursed gems forcing them to indulge in negative energy, not just to use their magic but to live at all as it was those gems that fueled their immortality? They could truly know what it meant to be human and to treat others as friends and not food. At first it was a bit rough with Adagio since she had to prove to Adagio that she wasn't just trying to be friends with her so that she could keep a close eye on her, but eventually over time and a few good talks(and cries) the two had reconciled.
Sunset truly did adore Adagio's company, she was smart, funny, witty, passionate and ambitious, all qualities that Sunset liked to have in a friend, though there was a small part of her that yearned for something more, something beyond friendship. She had her chance with Twilight of both worlds and she blew it and she didn't have any feelings for any of her other friends beyond close friendship. She had thought a few times perhaps she might have been able to ask Adagio out but she had shut that idea down when Adagio told her about siren customs and traditions, according to Adagio; a siren falling in love was a VERY rare thing and she had told Sunset she didn't wish to see her as 'just another conquest.'
"If I am to give my heart to anyone? I want it to be strong enough to give all the love I can possibly give and big enough to take in as much love as I can. I won't allow my lusts to invade my passion. But who knows little pony, perhaps one day I'll find my one to serenade with a true sirens song."
Adagio had standards and goals, something Sunset could respect and admire. She didn't want whoever she loved to just be another check on the body count chart, she wanted to love them and hold them forever more till death. Sunset wondered to herself if she had that kind of conviction, if she would ever find 'the one' to settle down with in this world if she couldn't have Twilight and she didn't know if Adagio would want her but as long as she could still be the siren's friend? She was content. Still, that didn't stop her from wanting more.
"Ah, feeling refreshed and if I do say so myself? Dazzling!" Adagio exhaled a relieved sigh.
Canterlot City truly had some of the best spa, nail salons and massage parlors in the state because as Adagio exited 'Rest & Relax' she gave a gentle and calming sigh as the evening sun hit her face, the sun beginning to dip and set over the horizon. Her skin felt silky smooth, her hair was warm and fluffy to the touch and her nails dazzled like her namesake. She even got her treble clef & diamond cutie mark painted onto her thumb nails, grinning with all her confidence Adagio would make her way back to her RV, hips swaying with all the swagger of a Hollywood model and she could feel the eyes glued to her from every angle. It was then she heard a familiar voice call out to her, a voice laced with sweetness that was unmistakable.
"Adagio!!" Sweetie Belle called out as she came running.
"Ah Sweetie Belle, how's my favorite pupil?" Adagio said with a smile, greeting Sweetie with a hug. Taking a good look at her she smiled like the fox she was and ran a hand through her purple and light pink hair which had been styled in a similar manner to Adagio's.
"Hehehe I'm good! I just finished getting my hair done! Like it?" Sweetie asked, showing off her hairdo, it was similar to Adagio's, she didn't have as much hair as the siren did but she had enough to where she could mimic her iconic afro ponytail to an extent. If anything it looked like a natural blend between Adagio's and Rarity's hair style and it worked for Sweetie. She was even rocking a new hairpin that was in the shape of a striped shield with a star and musical note inside of it.
"I love it! You look almost as dazzling as I do! What's the occasion hm?" Adagio asked, having released Sweetie from her hug.
Sweetie Belle blushed and fidgeted in place, poking her fingers together as she looked down at the ground. "Well Fall formal is coming up soon and I'm running for Princess this year."
"Ah, I almost forgot about that! If I was still attending CHS you'd certainly have my vote, who's the opposition hm? Need Auntie Dagi to help out?"
"N-No, I don't need help. Diamond and I got this...eep!" She spoke before thinking again and spilled a secret she wasn't supposed to and by the widening grin on Adagio's face, she knew she was cooked.
"Oh la-la; you and Diamond you say? Hm well I certainly hope someone picks up that phone-"
"Wha-"
"BECAUSE I FUCKING CAAAAALLLED IT!" Adagio said as she threw her head back and laughed.
"H-How did you..."
"Sweetie, honey, darling; I've been alive a VERY long time and I know future lovers when I see them. You two are a classic case of "Bully doesn't know how to express her feelings and resorts to being mean" it's honestly fucking adorable...so, how long?" Adagio asked, her wolfish smile having not faded in the slightest.
Sweetie's face was beat red but she smiled a dopey smile and twirled a finger through her hair as her voice's octave went up a pitch. "T-Two months, n-no one knows yet...not even Rarity."
"Oooooh scandalous!" Adagio giggled behind her freshly manicured hand.
"Please don't tell her! She'll never let me live it down! I...I wanna be able to tell her myself." Sweetie Belle pleaded, giving Adagio her sweetest and most deadly puppy dog pout.
"Okay, okay I won't tell her just turn off the cute face! I'm not trying to die before I confess to my own crush...eep!" Adagio snapped her lips shut. She also had a habit of speaking before thinking when she was flustered and Sweetie Belle was one of the few people who was capable of that purely off her cuteness alone. A similar smile to the one Adagio wore moments ago formed on the 16 year old's lips and she giggled.
"Oooooooh it's Sunset, isn't it?" Sweetie Belle was no fool.
"Hmph, perceptive little gumdrop aren't you?" Adagio huffed and pouted.
"My powers of observation, deduction and analysis are impeccable!" Sweetie said with pride.
Adagio simply broke into a giggle fit. "You really are just a sweet little dictionary, you know that?"
"The sweetest like my namesake! So, you and Sunset huh? Heh, knew it. Apple Bloom owes me $50, she was sure Sunset would get with Sci-Twi." Sweetie Belle said with a smile, proud of her mentor for having the courage to chase Sunset; someone that many thought unattainable.
"Many had that notion, Sunset herself included but alas, the bookworm's heart belongs to another. Meaning the little rare unicorn is all mine for the taming and I know JUST the way to lure her into my thrall." Adagio smiled knowingly at Sweetie Belle, the gem around her neck glistening in the evening sunset.
"Love song?" Sweetie smiled back knowingly
"Love song." Adagio nodded as she unlocked the RV and got into the driver's seat and fastened her seatbelt.
"A siren's song to lure in a unicorn huh? You sure know how to dazzle a girl." Sweetie said with a shameless smile.
Adagio groaned and rolled her eyes. "You've been spending too much time with Sonata, have fun dazzling your precious diamond!" Adagio teased one last time but not before Sweetie called out as she drove off.
"Have fun riding your little pony!!" Sweetie shouted, smiling ear to ear despite all the people looking at her funny.
Adagio blushed and felt her heart beating faster and faster. Checking the time she saw it was roughly 5:30, the sun was just beginning to set and she had gotten word from Rarity that she and Sunset had just finished up at the mall. Adagio made a mental note to thank Rarity with a spa trip later in the month, perhaps even a double date. She giggled to herself remembering that Rarity and Applejack were dating and quite madly in love, touching a finger to the orange heart shaped gem around her neck, the heart in her chest began to beat like a bongo drum and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.
'I'm willing to risk it all, to give her all of myself; I just hope that this song will be enough to let her know how I truly feel.' Adagio had never once felt nervous before a performance, she always carried herself with confidence but for this? For this most sacred of traditions among her race, she was more nervous than she had ever been for anything in her entire long life. Arriving back at the grounds where she and her sisters had set up their stage and equipment, Adagio parked the RV and stepped out towards the stage.
She was currently wearing her newest outfit that she had been wearing for the past couple of shows, though she ditched her leather jacket and opted to let the cool Autumn air nip at her skin and allow her to breathe the open air with her body, to feel nature's embrace, listening to the songs of the birds on the whispers of the wind. She would take a seat on the edge of the stage and hummed to herself, lost in thought and then began to speak aloud to no one in particular.
"To think I of all people would ever fall under someone else's spell; heh though I suppose life is truly just ironically humorous that way. Oh how you've charmed me little pony~" Adagio said with a dreamy sigh as she looked upon the setting sun as it dipped below the horizon, burning the sky a brilliant red, orange and yellow. It brought a smile to her face and a warmth to her heart that was still pounding like crazy but she let it, it would hype her up for the moment soon to come.
And then as if on cue, Adagio heard the roaring engine of a motorcycle and coming down the road was one Sunset Shimmer on the back of a red and yellow colored speed cycle. Coming to a sliding stop, she would remove her red helmet and shook out her crimson red and gold locks which were tied up in a ponytail to keep it straight under the helmet. She would smile and wave at Adagio, that smile being something Adagio looked forward to seeing every time she saw Sunset.
"Hey Dagi, sorry if I'm a little late, you know how Rarity can be when we get to shopping." Sunset said as she went to go and park the bike near the RV.
"Oh it's no worry at all, you look fabulous so I can let it slide." Adagio said as she gazed at the new blouse that Sunset was wearing behind her jacket and she giggled when Sunset blushed at the compliment.
"Thanks, Rarity found it and it was on sale so I just had to get it. Where's Aria and Sonata?" Sunset asked as she would usually see the trio together at times like this.
"Oh you know them, off doing their own little friendship things just as we are. Aria went to meet with Rainbow at the gym and Sonata went to meet with Pinkie for their Taco Tuesday."
"Ah, right, I almost forgot it was only Tuesday. Heh Tomboy Tuesday for Aria and Taco Tuesday for Sonata; so what T themed thing do you get for Tuesday?"
Adagio thought it over for a moment and then grinned widely as she thought back to something that Aria mentioned earlier before she left. Standing up on the stage, Adagio would turn around and bend over just enough to give Sunset a good view of her very plump and shapely ass and shook her hips and made her cheeks clap together.
"How about Twerk Tuesday's? I'm the only one out of the three of us who knows how y'know." Adagio giggled and tossed a wink over her shoulder at Sunset as well as blowing her a kiss.
Sunset's face erupted into a blush and she could have sworn she felt a trickle of blood slide down her nose as she watched Adagio gyrate her hips and clap her ass cheeks together like she was an Only-Friends model and the crazy part was? Adagio HAD an Only-Friends! Slack jawed and in awe, Sunset had to reboot her brain for a second and shook her head to clear out the static.
"Huh? I'm sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear you over the clap of your phat ass." Sunset teased as she walked up to the stage and grinned at Adagio. "What? Want me to toss a few bills at you now?"
"Mmmm I did moonlight as a stripper for a little while so I'm not gonna object~" Adagio winked and stuck her tongue out at Sunset.
Sunset chuckled to herself and rolled her eyes, hands on her hips and head shaking. "Even when reformed you are still such a bad girl."
"Heheh old habits die hard my little pony" Adagio winked and ceased her teasing as she got off the stand and gave Sunset a hug. "Thanks for coming, I really do appreciate it."
"Hah, don't I know it and hey you're welcome Dagi, anything for a friend." Sunset said with all her sweet kindness.
"Well then let's not delay any further shall we. The piano is all set up, you remember the melody right? Adagio asked as she went about setting up a few other things to get ready for the big moment, her nerves were tightening and she was thankful the air was cool otherwise she would be sweating bullets.
"Yes ma'am and let me say? It's beautiful, nice and slow but still upbeat and has a nice flow. I can't wait to hear the lyrics...Oh! By the way-" Sunset smiled happily as she got up on stage and took her seat at the piano. She would take out the sheet of music that Adagio had given her that had the melody printed on it but it lacked a name. "Did you come up with a name for it yet?"
Adagio blushed and felt her heart skip a beat. She thought her melody was beautiful! That meant the world to a siren to hear and she felt she could cry right then and there but she held back, there would be time for tears of joy during and after the song. She giggled to herself when she heard Sunset ask the name of the song, she had come up with it the moment the melody came to mind, however she wanted to keep that as an ace up her sleeve.
"Oh, yes. Yes I have, in fact I've had the title for quite some time. I just wanted it to be a surprise." Adagio said, brushing some of her hair from out of her face as she grabbed the microphone and stood nearby a boombox that was propped up on a stool.
Now Sunset looked understandably confused. "Really? Why?"
Adagio gave Sunset a look that one could describe as pure passion, her eyes lidded, her smile spread into a playful but loving smirk and her facial features softened in a manner Sunset didn't think was possible. Taking a deep breath, she exhaled and addressed Sunset.
"Play my melody and you'll see little pony."
Sunset felt her face burn, her heart skip a beat or two and the hairs of the back of her neck stood on end. As she looked at Adagio, she couldn't but see her in a new light as she stood under the spotlight, the evening sunset as her backdrop. Shaking her head to clear her mind, she would look over the notes and began to playing them and as soon as she did, Adagio turned on the boombox and a beat was mixed in with the piano. An orange miasma formed around Adagio's necklace as she began to sing, her voice was smooth as silk and had a powerful octave that demanded your attention and all the while Sunset was enthralled as her fingers played across the key.
πYeah~ Ahhh, ahhh, ah, ahhhhhh...hear me sing it~π
πDa-Da-Da-Da Dazzling Love. Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling Love. Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling Looooove, yeah~π
πA thousand, loveless years! I'm done hatin' now, no pain, no strife; yeah I've found a better way.π
πNo more, mind games! Not playin' any-more! No look-ing back on yesterday; now lemme just sing it~π
Sunset was enraptured by her voice, the beat and yet she still played the piano flawless to it all, harmonizing perfectly with Adagio. The lyrics were so beautiful and they fit Adagio's personality flawlessly, though the way she was looking at Sunset? It was as if she was singing this song directly to her and not just practicing it for a crowd. Slowly but surely the realization began to sink in but Sunset couldn't bring herself to stop playing.
π"Cause I'mma new woman, π
π lovin' everybody as much as I can π
πbut now I wanna be loved right back"π
π"All I want is to love and adored, π
πnever ignored; Oh yeah~"π
π"Cause I want the perfect girl, π
πsomeone to who I can say that 'you are my world'π
πAnd girl you're lookin' like a dazzling diamondπ
πMy love for you just won't end! π
πBaby girl hear me sing!π
As Adagio's voice reached its crescendo, she strut over to Sunset, making sure they were close and she continued to sing.
π"This is Dazzling Love!(Love, love!)π
πAnd know this is the real deal!(Real love)π
πCan you hear my siren heart sing?(Ahhh, ahhh!)π
πYou got me sing like ahhh, ahh, ah, ahhhhh~π
πThis is my looooove!(love, love!)π
πNow you know this is the real deal(Real love)π
πHear my siren heart sing(Love, love!)π
πCause baby this my Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling love~" π
Adagio smiled and felt the tears welling in her eyes as she continued to sing, there was no going back now. She would pour her heart and soul into this, she would make Sunset Shimmer understand wholeheartedly that she was in love with her, that she wanted her! Desired her! Needed her! Sunset meanwhile was in shock at what she was seeing and hearing, Adagio truly felt all this about her? She could feel the magic within herself beginning to stir as well as Adagio continued the song in earnest.
"We fussed, we stressed and fought
but we still made it through.
Any day or Night
You're always there for meeeee
You're such a precious gem, my little diamond in the rough
That's why, I want to give you all my looooove, baby let me sing it!
Adagio's voice carried such power and grace, she hit every high and low note, she matched the tempo with perfect skill and she allowed her passionate voice to echo into the night sky, the setting sun and Sunset Shimmer her only audience but that was all she needed. Though had Adagio or Sunset been paying attention they'd notice the small crowd of college students gathering to listen, many of them couples.
π"Cause I'mma new woman, π
π lovin' everybody as much as I can π
πbut now I wanna be loved right back"π
π"All I want is to love and adored, π
πnever ignored; Oh yeah~"π
π"Cause I want the perfect girl, π
πsomeone to who I can say that 'you are my world'π
πAnd girl you're lookin' like a dazzling diamondπ
πMy love for you just won't end! π
πBaby girl hear me sing!π
It was then she heard the crowd cheering and encouraging her, the ladies in the crowd most of all. She smiled and continued to sing, the orange miasma around her necklace having flooded the stage as she began to dance and sing now, putting on a show as was her nature! This was her calling, this was her purpose! She felt so alive and full of magic that her siren wings appeared on her back and her voice grew louder as it echoed across the sky.
π"This is Dazzling Love!(Love, love!)π
πAnd know this is the real deal!(Real love)π
πCan you hear my siren heart sing?(Ahhh, ahhh!)π
πYou got me sing like ahhh, ahh, ah, ahhhhh~π
πThis is my looooove!(love, love!)π
πNow you know this is the real deal(Real love)π
πHear my siren heart sing(Love, love!)π
πCause baby this my Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling love~" π
The crowd clapped and sang along, ladies swaying in the crowd to the beat of the song, some were partnered up, others danced alone but there wasn't a sad face in the crowd and that was what Adagio wanted, to spread the passionate joy she was feeling now onto others, to let them feel the love she felt as well as absorb it from them. She was no longer a leech, she was a giver.
"I want this whole damn world to knooooow!
Long as the wind bloooows!
Know that forever this is how I feel!
Oh I'm in loooooove!
And even when the sun sets I just know
Nothin' is gonna hold back this feelin', this is true love what I'm feelin', baby~
The crowd began to clap in harmony with Adagio's lyrics, the siren having stepped down off the stage, having released the microphone as she no longer needed it. Her magic amped her voice enough and so now with her hands free she could clap along with her audience as she strut and sway her way through the crowd.
Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling love
Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling love
Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling love
Oooh yeah~
Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling love(Said this is love, love, love~)

Adagio had finally made her way back to the stage, singing directly in front of Sunset as she sat herself upon the piano. Swaying and bouncing her body to the song and the lyrics pouring out of her heart and soul. As the song came to its close she would speak the final words of the song that brought it to a close and the crowd into uproar of applause
"Da-Da-Da-Da Dazzling loooove; love~"
Cheers and cries of "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" rang out from the crowd, Adagio smiled at them and then back to Sunset Shimmer who had eyes full of tears, her pony ears folded back on her head as her magic had activated without her even knowing it. She sobbed but a happy smile was plastered on her face as she wiped her tears away, Adagio would absorb the positive energy oozing out of her and leaned in close, her hands cupping her face to wipe away the falling tears.
"Did you like my song?" Adagio asked sweetly.
Sunset could only nod and gave a wet laugh as she tried to form words but she simply couldn't. She was literally speechless but even with that all she could muster up to say was
"T-That was beautiful~"
"And so are you, so; shall we give the crowd what they want?" Adagio asked playfully, her voice still amped by her magic as she lay herself on the piano, gazing into Sunset's teal eyes.
Sunset giggled and sniffled, wiping her remaining tears. Smiling at Adagio she looked out to the crowd and then back to her.
"Well, it would be a shame to not end the show on a high note right?" Sunset said with a cocky smirk.
Adagio smirked with all her devious mirth and grabbed Sunset by the front of her blouse and sat up straight on the piano so she was a few inches taller than Sunset.
"Well then little pony? Don't keep your Dazzling love waiting~"
Sunset didn't need to be told twice as she leaned in and locked lips with Adagio passionately which got a massive cheering uproar from the crowd, camera flashes could be heard and cheers of excitement rang through the air. Both Adagio and Sunset smiled at each other as the kiss ended, holding the others hand tenderly as they stood on stage and took a bow. After taking said bow, Adagio would pick up the mic and addressed the crowd, a sly grin on her face.
"Thank you all for coming, now if you'll excuse us? We have another little duet to go play and it's a private affair~" Adagio relished the shocked reaction from the crowd as she dropped the mic. She yelped and giggled excitedly when Sunset picked her up and carried her off stage back towards the RV.
"I'm about to make you scream like a banshee." Sunset said with eyes full of white hot passion, Adagio had awakened something and she liked it!
"Mmmm do your best to dazzle me little pony, cause I'm about to take you for a ride!" Adagio whispered hungrily in Sunset ear as they entered the RV and the door slammed shut.
