Chapter 1
The clock on the wall in Twilght's room says, "2:00pm" the clock was above Twilight's books ranging from many topics like dragons, Greek Mythology, and Old Ponyish. he's been crying all night and a lot today. Spike was sitting in the bed in his and Twilight's room, many tears were stained against his red blanket, some tears fell on the floor.
His frown was upside down, his eyes were flooding with water.. He looks down, he was upset by what happens yesterday which was Hearts and Hooves Day. There were a bunch of tissues on the floor. Twilight, and Rainbow were going on a Friendship mission, Fluttershy was working today, Pinkie Pie and Apple Jack was going to Applecon in Manehatten so Spike can't tell them why he's sad. Spike then noticed he had a crush, on another mare, her name was Starlight Glimmer. She was cute, smart, and Spike just felt an attraction to her.
He then heard hoofsteps coming closer and closer. Spike looked up, he thought who it was.
Starlight arrived in the room, she then was shocked, she saw Spike was crying and he looked upset. She was concerned for her best friend. Starlight then asked, "Why are you sad?"
Spike then looked up, he wiped away the tears, he doesn't wanna be seen in his vulernable state and he thought if he told anypony, they will just, make fun of him. He replied in a sad and raspy tone, "Ah- Ah.. nothing.. I'm fine..."
Starlight Glimmer's smile turned upside down, she knows Spike is lying to her. Starlight then replied in a stern tone, "Spike... I know you are lying to me.. please tell me what happend!"
Spike then looked down and said, "N- no... you'll just make fun of me... or you'll think negative of me... and I am not sad!"
Starlight walked over, she placed a hoof on Spike's shoulder. She then said, "Spike.. I won't think negative of you... you are my best friend.. I know you might be scared because... I did bad things in the past... but I'm all over that... and I won't make fun of you.."
Spike then sniffed and wiped away his tears, he then mumbled, "Y- y- you sure?"
Starlight Glimmer nodded her head, she had a small smile on her face. Spike then hugged Starlight, Starlight then hopped into bed. She then asked, "Now," after a short silence she then said, "Tell me.. what is bothering you, I am here to help!" Spike looked at Starlight, he then looked on the ground, he then looked at Starlight.
After a short silence, Spike then took a deep breath, he then said, "Okay, so yesterday was Hearts and Hooves Day, I had a major, major crush on Rarity... I was going to tell her my feelings and a card I made for her.. that I spent ALL NIGHT making... then I was going to walk up to her and I saw her making out with Prince Blueblood... I thought Rarity would hate him.. given what he's done to her at the Gala... Rarity was on top of Blueblood and Blueblood was on the ground, they both were kissing each other like if there is nooo tomorrow,"
He continued, "I felt my heart collapse into a bunch of pieces.. I loved her for a long time so seeing this really break me... I feel like I will never recover from this!" He felt more tears race down his face. He felt his heart broken and blue.
Starlight hugged Spike and said, "Spike.. don't worry.. Rarity might be.. taken but there are plenty of fish under the sea.. you'll find your lucky lover one day... be yourself and don't revolve your life around a pony.."
There was a short silence, Starlight hugged Spike, Spike then blushed and said, "Thank you, Starlight... I think I might be over Rarity.. and... and you are right... I shouldn't revolve my life around a pony.." He made a cringed look when he remembered him being sad and crying over a mare that isn't worth his time.
Starlight Glimmer then replied, "You feel better, Spikey?"
Spike chuckled and felt a dark red tint on his cheek. He then said, "Yeah, Starlight.. thanks for talking to me.. sorry for lying.. I should be more honest!" He then stood up in the bed.
Starlight Glimmer said, "That's nice to hear!"
Spike then said, "To start my new honest streak... I am.. going to do this!"
Starlight was confused and replied, "Do what?"
Spike then kissed Starlight, Starlight was taken away and liked the kiss. Spike said, "I- I am going to be honest... I love you!"
Spike then said, "I really love you.. You are cute.. hot.. and so so kind.. I feel in love with you during the first day we became friends... remember that day?"
Starlight Glimmer then blushed, she looked down, she cracked a small smile on her face. She then said, " Aww, Spikey!" Spike chuckled and found her calling him Spikey cute.
Starlight then said, "I also.. love you.. you are so cute, tough... and not to mention.. loyal.. I like that about you.. you are also very caring.. I had a crush on you but I thought you would say no or be scared of me because of my.. evil past.. And I just- just didn't know what to do.. Spike!"
There was a long silence, both Starlight and Spike had red tint glowing on their cheeks. Then Spike kissed her again. Spike and Starlight Glimmer held to each others hooves/claws.
Spike then spoke to Starlight, "Starlight Glimmer, will you be.. my mare friend?" He looked away, he started blushing. He hopes Starlight says yes.
Starlight then cracked a smile, hugged Spike. Starlight then said, "Yes... Yes... a million times yes!" She then kissed Spike on the cheek, Spike blushed and looked away. he then quickly glance back at Starlight.
Spike then hugged Starlight Glimmer. Starlight Glimmer said, "Don't worry I will be a great mare friend and will always be here for you.." They then had their first, official kiss.
Spike replied, "I promise to be a good mate to you.. I will be loyal and kind."
Starlight Glimmer then replied, "We'll really go together.. like milk.."
Spike then replied, "And cookies" He had a smirk on his face, he is still blushing. Spike leaned on Starlight Glimmer's shoulder. Spike and Starlight hugged each other, they don't care what others say, they love each other. Starlight Glimmer thought of what Twilight might think of their relationship.
Today was sad and sour but at the end, it turned sweet. Today, Spike learned three things: 1) Don't fixate your life on one pony/creature, 2) Starlight secretly likes him. 3) They go together like Milk and Cookies.
