When people hear that Twilight had taught Celestia, the thing many would assume to be the case is that the purple unicorn turned alicorn taught her mentor just as much as the white alicorn taught the purple one.
But what if I told you that this was not the case at all. These are the tales of a world where the roles of who was in charge of Equestria, who the main six are, and the lives of many ponies are reversed from what you know.

It's returned and it's back with style. Now with an all-new Prologue. Reading the prologue is essential if you want to understand the various tags. Especially since the death warning only applies to the first part of the prologue.
Three months have passed since the three tribes came together as one unit, and things have slowly but surely been going steadily towards building the new nation.
"I really wish we could agree on who should lead us." Commander Hurricane said. "We all seem to have differing ideas." He added.
"Agreed. And we can't seem to figure out how to solve this crisis." Princess Pansy said.
"Princess Pansy, Commander Hurricane, Chancellor Puddinghead, you need to come quick!" A cyan pegasus said. "There's some kind of strange pony at the boarder." She added.
"Wonder what this is about?" Chancellor Puddinghead said.
When the three tribe leaders went outside, they had discovered something quite unbelievable.
Three hours earlier...
"Twilight, are you sure this is wise?" An orange Pegasus asked, holding a small unicorn child.
"If you had asked me this three months ago, I probably would have said no. But considering how long it's been, I doubt they will object to my presence. Let alone yours and our child's." A purple pony who looked to be a unicorn and pegasus hybrid said.
"I still say we should've stayed hidden. I don't care what your visions say about a threat to the peace these ponies have build on." The pegasus said. "After all, we JUST found your parents of all ponies." He added.
"Yes. It's good to have finally met them, the ones who gave birth to me. I hope that the rest of the ponies of this new nation will be just as welcoming of me." Twilight said. That was when the three tribe leaders suddenly showed up.
"Wh-whoa. Wh-what are you?" Princess Pansey asked Twilight.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle. And you must be Princess Pansey." Twilight said. "It's good to meet the one who my parents hold in high regard." She added.
"That's not what she asked. What are you, some kind of unicorn and pegasus hybrid?" Commander Hurricane asked.
"Twilight is more than just a unicorn and a Pegasus. Why don't you show them?" The orange pegasus asked.
"Very well then." Twilight said before smiling and then with a double tap of her hooves, the earth split a ways ahead of her, causing even Chancellor Puddinghead's jaw to drop. "Hmm. A 7.5 on the rictor scale. Not my best demonstration, but a fair display none the less. I must be having a bit of an off day." Twilight said.
"O-only the most talented earth ponies could cause what you just did. And that's not impressive enough to you?!" Chancellor Puddinghead exclaimed.
"Nothing ever is with Twilight. She's always one to boast about the magical prowess she contains." The orange pegasus said.
"Wait, I know you. Your Flash Sentry. You went missing on an excursion beyond the lands of the pegasi one day and never returned home. Hell, it's been seven years since I last saw you." Commander Hurricane said.
"...Private Hurricane? Is that you?" The orange Pegasus asked.
"Actually, it's Commander Hurricane now. After all, once seven years passed, then by pegasus law, you were considered legally dead." Commander Hurricane said.
"...I would criticize such a law like that, but...considering seven years would've been plenty of time for Flash Sentry to have shown up, I suppose it's a fair law." Princess Platinum said.
"To be honest Hurricane, I almost died. I probably would have after my wing sprained in the middle of my flight path if not for Twilight." Flash Sentry said.
"It was only mere chance that I happened to be hiding out there away from the other tribes due to my racial nature." Twilight said, spreading her wings.
"Chance or destiny? Because I like to think it's a bit of both." Flash Sentry said.
"So, you are some sort of hybrid. Maybe some sort of three-way hybrid between all three tribes." Commander Hurricane said.
"Actually, Twilight's not a hybrid at all. She's a different type of pony. One who has the strength of an earth pony, the flight of a pegasus, and the magic of a unicorn. Twilight's exact race is instead that of an Alicorn." Flash said.
"Some pony's paid attention to me and Spike." Twilight said.
"...Spike?" Commander Hurrican asked. Suddenly a big purple and green dragon flew in. "DRAGON!" Commander Hurrican exclaimed.
"Calm down Hurricane. Spike's a big softie." Flash said.
"Geez, wonder what that was about to begin with?" Spike asked. "Twilight, why didn't you tell me you were coming to visit this old place." He said.
"Because I had one of my visions." Twilight said. Suddenly the sky changed colors.
"Uh...we unicorns didn't do that." Princess Pansey said.
"Who? Whose here?!" Commander Hurricane asked. Suddenly out of nowhere, a strange creature appeared.
"...Discord." Twilight said.
"Long time no see, Twilight Sparkle. Oh, but you look different. Did you do something with your hair?" The creature asked.
"Cut the theatrics Discord. I know you're not here for pleasantries. I beat you out of the woods, and whatever you aim to do here, I'll be more than happy to stop you from doing so." Twilight said.
"I'm hurt. Is that any way to treat your old friend?" Discord asked.
"Your magic can hurt ponies and dragons alike. I refuse to let you go all crazy with your magic once again." Twilight said.
"His magic?" Princess Platinum asked. "Let's not get hasty now. Surely it's not that bad." She added.
"You don't know what you've just unleashed." Twilight warned.
"Well since this one seems to want to have some fun, let's have some fun!" Discord said before snapping his fingers. In an instant, houses were going every which way, some even floating in the air, some being on top of other houses, and much, much more.
"Th-this isn't normal. Or right." Commander Hurricane said.
"...Flash. Stand back. I'll handle this." Twilight said.
"Right. I'll try and see if I can help as many ponies stay safe as I possibly can." Flash said before leaving.
"What's that supposed to--" Chancellor Puddinghead said.
"! Look out!" Clover the Clever said before using her magic to pull Chancellor Puddinghead towards the unicorn just before a house almost fell right on top of where he was standing.
"Th-that almost fell right on top of me." Chancellor Puddinghead said.
"Clover, you should take Smart Cookie and Private Pansey and help Flash get ponies safely out of this mess." Princess Platinum said.
"Not a bad idea. Move it you three." Commander Hurricane said.
"On it!" Private Pansey said.
"I'll be back soon. And in one piece." Smart Cookie said before going with Clover and Pansey.
"Twilight was it? You expect to face this guy all by yourself?" The cyan pegasus from before asked just before she was joined by a white unicorn mare, a pink earth pony mare, an orange earth pony mare, and a yellow pegasus mare.
"I've already done so once." Twilight said. Suddenly another building almost fell on top of Princess Platinum, but she caught it in her magic.
"Now's not the time to be stubbern. Let us help you." The orange earth Pony said.
"...Very well. But don't say I wasn't trying to warn you." Twilight said.
"You may be some new pony, but I feel like we can trust you." The white unicorn said.
"Yeppers, and I can tell a friendly face when I see one." The pinkie earth pony said. Twilight raised an eyebrow at that.
"It's best you try not and question Pinkie Pie. If that's okay." The yellow pegasus mare said.
"I see. Thank you." Twilight said.
"Oh please, you really believe you five can be friends with her? She's just too different from the rest of you." Discord said. Twilight's eyes widened.
"...Your wrong Discord. I may not be like them, and they may have only just started forming their nation, but that will never stop us from being friends." Twilight said. Suddenly six strange gems came forth from Twilight. "Especially since this time, I have these." She said.
"What--no! You can't have those! You can't have the Elements of Harmony!" Discord exclaimed.
"Oh yes. Yes, I can." Twilight said.
"I like this one." The Cyan pegasus said, grabbing the red gem.
"This purple one speaks to me." The white unicorn said grabbing that one.
"Ooh, blue is totally my color!" Pinkie Pie said grabbing the blue gem.
"Orange to orange. Apple to apple." The orange mare said grabbing the gem that matched her color.
"Um...this pink one sure looks nice." the yellow pegasus said grabbing the pink gem.
And as Twilight took the magenta gem, they all suddenly started glowing and changed shape, though Twilight's gem stayed the same, the other five took the shape similar to the cutie mark of the pony that touched them. Suddenly, all six blasted Discord, and started to look like it was hurting him.
"! No! I don't want to hurt him." Twilight said before stopping the beam herself.
"Ow...that really hurt you know..." Discord said, though he was very weak now.
"Even I would never want to hurt any pony. I just wanted you to turn everything back to normal. Not hurt you." Twilight said.
"...Wow. This alicorn is something else." Chancellor Puddinghead said.
"Indeed." Commander Hurricane said.
"Hmm. I wonder if you three are thinking what I'm thinking." Princess Platinum said.
"Okay sure, I can turn things back to normal. In fact, I'll never bother you or this nation again." Discord said. Suddenly a loud crash was heard in the distance.
"! That-that came from near--" Twilight was interupted by Clover the Clever, Smart Cookie, and Private Pansey showing up, holding a baby unicorn colt.
"We-we tried to get out that unicorn family..." Private Pansey said.
"But Flash pushed us out with this unicorn colt that was inside with his parents just before the house crashed on him and them." Smart Cookie said.
"Flash...mom...dad..." Twilight started to break down into tears.
"...Oh no. What have I done?" Discord asked, suddenly looking saddened by what had just happened.
Sometime later, after the Elements of Harmony were used to undo Discord's magic; which were also used to chain discord up in a Litteral sense; Twilight and the five ponies who helped her, stood near a callapsed house and the dead bodies of two grown unicorns, a baby one, and Flash Sentry.
"Wh-who were they?" Private Pansey asked, referring to the unicorn couple.
"They were Twilight Velvet and Night Light. They were my parents." Twilight said. "I wasn't always an Alicorn. I became this way after I found the Elements of Harmony shortly after I fled my homeland to try and find a more friendly place to live. That was when I first came across Discord." She added. "I was able to use my magic to convince him to leave. After he left was when the elements appeared before me and transformed me into well...this." Twilight motioned to herself.
"Twilight, I'm so sorry." The cyan pegasus said.
"I warned Discord plain as day that his magic could cause something like this. Yet he always didn't believe me." Twilight said. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW DISCORD? THIS IS WHAT YOUR MAGIC CAN DO TO PONIES IF YOUR NOT CAREFUL!" She exclaimed.
Discord was notably silent, saying nothing. He didn't need to acknowledge that Twilight was right all along about his magic. She knew. The yellow pegasus gave Twilight a hug before being joined by the others who helped her.
"...Twilight Sparkle, a moment if you would?" Commander Hurricane asked.
"What is it?" Twilight asked.
"Well, we've been talking, and well...we think that it'd be best that you would be willing to be the one in charge of the new nation." Princess Platinum said.
"...I see. It's not that I don't want to, but I also don't want to full control of the place." Twilight said.
"We can help. My name's Rainbow Dash by the way." The cyan pegasus said.
"Applejack." The orange earth pony said.
"Pinkie Pie." Pinkie Pie said.
"Fluttershy." The yellow Pegasus said.
"Rarity." The white unicorn said.
"We meant that we'll be your friends. And if you want, we can be sort of your go between for the other ponies." Rainbow Said. "Your council if you will." She added.
"...A council. Yes. That'd be nice." Twilight said. "Thank you five so much." She added before dragging all five of the mares into another hug with the alicorn's big wings.
"You did that to try and cheer Twilight up a little, didn't you?" Applejack asked Rainbow Dash.
"Hey, what can I say? She needed it." Rainbow Dash said.
"...Touche." Applejack said.
Off to the side, an Orange Unicorn Mare couldn't help but look at Twilight with awe. "Twilight Sparkle, is it? I can't wait to get to know her." The mare said to herself.
"Really, I don't really want a castle." Twilight said as ponies were building a castle nearby in the Everfree Forest.
"Be that as it may, we think it's only fitting that an Alicorn gets a little special treatment. Besides, we're building this one right in the middle of the forest. There's another castle being built on the mountain where we Pegasi used to call home." Commander Hurricane said.
"As the daughter of the unicorn king, we felt that having two castles; one on the same level as the rest of the ponies; would help remind you that we're your citizens." Princess Platinum said.
"Don't think that's the point." Rainbow Dash said. "I think Twilight doesn't want a castle because she doesn't want to be treated special." She added.
"Thank you, Rainbow Dash." Twilight said.
"Be that as it may, even with the high council, almost the ponies agree that you should have a little special treatment. After all, we agreed you would be Equestria's leader." Chancellor Puddinghead said.
"...Even still." Twilight said.
"Geez, can't any of you take a hint?" A female orange unicorn said. "The alicorn doesn't want to be treated special, so let's not treat her as special. Sure she's our ruler, but shouldn't we also want her to appreciate us?" She added.
"...Hello Sunset Shimmer." Princess Platinum said. "Been a long time since you've shown your face ever since you left the unicorn lands." She added.
"That was a whole three weeks before your whole feud started. Really didn't like how you were basically going all blackmail on the other tribes. Took your own assistants basically playing 'kiss and make up' on you three for you to actually treat each other as you should: As fellow ponies." Sunset Shimmer said. "And the whole blackmail plot was exactly why I left your service 'Princess'. You're only a Princess because your dad's the unicorn king, but you certainly aren't a princess of me." She added.
"Crude much?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"That's just how Sunset is darling. Her style is crude yet true." Rarity said.
Twilight approached Sunset Shimmer. "So, you wished the tribes would treat each other as fellow ponies?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah. Wished it didn't take basically a threat to all of pony kind to make them see that their hatred for each other would only cause disaster." Sunset said. "And you. You're a pony too. Albeit a special one that is all three main pony types all rolled into one." She added.
"And I'm still reminded of that." Twilight said
"But you're our leader now. Which is fair. You're like this harmonious union of the three tribes now. And that's all sorts of cool. And I get that you would rather want ponies to treat you equally. They can do that with you as our leader still. Though I doubt you like the castle aspect. They shouldn't give you any special treatment, just because you're the way you are." Sunset said.
"Pay no attention to this outcast Twilight. She knows not of what she speaks." Princess Platinum said, causing Sunset to glare at the unicorn leader.
"I wouldn't be so sure. I find her way of wording things quite interesting." Twilight said. "Besides, she seems to mean well enough. I wouldn't mind a little help here and there. Even with the high council, I'm sure I could use a helping hand around me to make sure that things are organized." She added. "And you seem to know what's what." The purple alicorn finished.
"I won't let you down, Twilight." Sunset said. She was smiling. Inside she was so excited. Getting in good graces with Twilight in just under a day just because she feels the same way I do? What more can I ask for? Sunset thought to herself.
"Actually, got a little something I want to get off my chest. In private if you would." Rainbow Dash said.
"Sure. Meet me in a little bit. First, I want to check on Discord." Twilight said.
Twilight with Sunset following her went to the area where Discord was currently chained up.
"Hello Discord." Twilight said.
"He's not so tough now that he's all chained up." Sunset said.
"Whatever you do to me, I deserve it. I never meant to kill anyone, let alone four ponies." Discord said.
"Hmm. You were never trying to do any harm, huh?" Sunset said as she approached Discord. "Just wanted to have fun maybe?" Sunset asked.
"Something like that." Discord said. "How did you know?" He asked.
"Spent a lot of time trying to get at the emotions of others, that I've always had a knack at figuring out any pony's true motivations." Sunset said. "And you don't strike me as the type who'd go out of their way to cause trouble. Maybe just get others to have a little fun every now and then." She added.
"Yes. But now I have caused death. The time for fun has ended." Discord said.
"Don't you dare say that!" That was Fluttershy.
"Sorry Twilight, I tried to hold Fluttershy back, but she always gets like this around animals of any sort." Rainbow Dash said as she was right behind Fluttershy.
"You did a bad thing. But if you try and control your powers better, you won't endanger ponies or even other creatures ever again." Fluttershy said.
"But I--" Discord said.
"NO BUTS! I don't care if I have to shackle myself to you. I'm going to help you learn to control your powers as best I can." Fluttershy said.
"...She's always like this huh?" Twilight asked.
"Yep. Maybe we can use those elements of harmony to anchor Discord to Fluttershy so that he can't stray too far from her or do anything she wouldn't approve of." Rainbow Dash said.
"Fluttershy as Discord's jailer...not a bad thought. I'm certain with time, my little brother Shining Armor will understand why I did such a thing." Twilight said.
"You don't have to put yourself out like this. You should be free of me." Discord said to Fluttershy.
"That's enough of that self-doubting mister!" Fluttershy said.
"...It's always the quiet ones that surprise you the most." Sunset said.
After this, Twilight met with Rainbow Dash privetly.
"Is there something you want, Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah. I'm not the only Pegasus that wants something like this, but I've always wanted to try and inspire other pegasi to really spread their wings and show off for other ponies." Rainbow Dash said. "Never really enlisted into the military corps because of it, but I've always wanted to be something of a stunt flier." She added.
"Really? There are other Pegasi who would want that sort of thing too?" Twilight asked.
"I'm sure if I asked around, I'd find quite a few Pegasi who also never enlisted into the military corps because they wanted to be stunt fliers and not army folk." Twilight said.
"Hmm. Maybe there's a way to mix the two together?" Twilight asked.
A couple of days later, there was a sign-up sheet for a brand-new division of the Pegasi Military meant for those that wanted to show off their flying as part of a stunt flying team. This new division of the Pegasi Military was dubbed the Wonderbolts.
And the one who would spearhead this new division would be the mare that came up with the idea in the first place: Rainbow Dash. Of course, the group needed a manager for all the showings they would be going to in the future, so a Pegasus was assigned into that role as well.
"Have to admit, this was a great first new change to our way of living. Now Pegasi can do more than just be military focused. And I can see that I was remise in believing every Pegasus wanted to be military folk. I mean, that is a LOT of names." Commander Hurricane said.
There was one name on this list that caught Rainbow Dash's attention. "...She wants to become one? But she's barely nine years old. We obviously need an age requirement for this." Rainbow Dash said.
Commander Hurrican took a look at the name Rainbow Dash was looking at. "...Scootaloo? You recognize that name?" He asked.
"Yeah. That's my surrogate little sister, and number one fan." Rainbow Dash said.
"You never mentioned you had a surrogate sister." Commander Hurricane said.
"I don't so I don't appear soft." Rainbow Dash said.
"And how is that going to make you appear soft? Just because you're worried for her, doesn't make you soft. Understand that Captain Rainbow Dash?" Commander Hurricane said.
Rainbow Dash's wings fluttered a bit. "C-captain?" The cyan pegasus asked.
"If you're going to head up this new division, only fitting you get a rank to match. Best not let it go to waste, Captain." Commander Hurricane said.
"O-of course not, Commander." Rainbow Dash said.
"Figures you'd think I'm too young. But I wanna do it. I want to be a stunt flier too." Scootaloo said.
"Not saying you can't be one ever. But maybe do a little growing first." Rainbow Dash said. "It's not that I don't think you can't handle it squirt, it's that well..." She added. "...I don't want you to squander your chance at a cutie mark." The cyan pegasus said.
"I know I'm still trying to discover my special talent, but I want to be a stunt flier outside of that." Scootaloo said.
"Rainbow Dash is right. Your just too young. And I'm sure the rest of my high coincil will see that too." Twilight said. "Wait a few years, then I'm sure you'll be part of Rainbow Dash's new stunt team in no time." She added before leaving with Rainbow Dash.
"I'm getting so sick and tired of every pony saying I'm too young for anything. I'll show them." Scootaloo said.
A couple of weeks later, there was a planned opening cermony for the new stunt team, for them to be flying in in style. However, before the cermony started, Scootaloo started doing her own tricks ahead of them all.
"Darn it Scootaloo!" Rainbow Dash said. However, what stopped her from getting too mad was the fact that the ponies did enjoy her little show. Huh...what do you know? Squirt's got natural talent for this thing. Rainbow Dash thought to herself.
Eventually, after the opening ceremony, Scootaloo was brought to Twilight Sparkle and the high council by the tribe leaders.
"What you did was very reckless Scootaloo. If you hadn't had been careful, you could've gotten hurt." Twilight said. "I've got half a mind to ban you from ever joining Rainbow Dash's stunt team." She added.
! No! I can't let that happen! Rainbow Dash said.
"I just wanted to show that I can do that sort of stunt flying despite my age. I'm sick of others looking down on me just because I'm nine years old. Every time I try to do that sort of difficult stunt flying, other pegasi get up in my face and tell me straight up that I'm too young to be doing it. Well, I decided that I was tired of it. Go ahead, ban me for all I care. I'll just go and make my own rival stunt team or something. I want to be a stunt flier one way or another." Scootaloo said.
"C'mon Twilight, don't ban her from my team. You saw how much the ponies enjoyed her performance." Rainbow Dash said.
"She's got a point." Applejack said.
"Plus, we can overrule that sort of decision if we have to. Majority rules and all that." Rarity said.
Twilight sighed. "...Scootaloo, do you herby swear to never do something that reckless ever again, regardless of how the vote turns out?" She asked.
"Anything you say, I'll do it. I just want the chance to be a part of a stunt flying team and for others to stop looking down on me just because I'm younger than every other pony on that team." Scootaloo said. "I'll swear whatever oath you want too." She added.
"Ooo! In that case, I know a good one." Pinkie Pie said. "Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Pinkie Pie said, doing some strange motions.
"...What was that?" Twilight said.
Rainbow Dash couldn't help but smile. "That was Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Promise. You break a Pinkie Promise, you lose your chance at friendship forever." The cyan pegasus said.
"Well then cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Scootaloo said, repeating the motions. "I pinkie promise that I won't do anything that reckless anymore." She added.
"Well I'm convinced." Pinkie Pie said.
"Then all in favor of letting Scootaloo in on the stunt flying team?" Rarity asked. Every pony of the high coincil except Applejack rasied a hoof in favor.
"Ah personally don't agree that she should be getting off scot free like this." Applejack said.
"Never said she would. As Captain of the Wonderbolts, I'm making a judgement call: Scootaloo is going to be with a few others on the Wonderbolts Reserves and will be put on probation effective immediately." Rainbow Dash said. "If you're going to be a part of the Wonderbolts Scootaloo, I'm going to treat you as such. No favors just because I see you as my little sister." She added.
"Wouldn't want you to do that anyways, but how long am I going to be on probation and what even is this probation?" Scootaloo asked.
"For the next two weeks, you'll be tasked with sweeping the streets of Equestria Scootaloo. And you better not slack off on it either, or I'll consider extending it for a LOT longer." Rainbow Dash said. "And no complaining either. If you want to be a part of the Wonderbolts, better get used to me being a little rougher then I usually am." She added.
"U-understood." Scootaloo said. "...And thank you." She added before flying off.
"Don't you think two weeks is a little harsh on your sister?" Twilight asked.
"Meh. So, what if I am being harsh? She knows that I shouldn't take things easy on her just because she's officially the youngest member of the Wonderbolts ever; reserves or otherwise." Rainbow Dash said. "Besides, I'd do the same to any other Wonderbolt member, reservist or otherwise, if they pulled the same stunt Scootaloo just did." She added.
"That's still a little harsh." Applejack said.
"Maybe it is harsh, but Pegasi can be stubborn AJ. So you have to be stubborn back if you want to be a good leader for them." Rainbow Dash said.
"Did you take lessons from Commander Hurricane or something?" Twilight asked.
"...Okay so the dude gave me a couple of pointers. Big whoop. They are tactics that are proven to work on even the most stubborn Pegasi." Rainbow Dash said.
A pink pegasus known as Cozy Glow sighed. Once again, the adults of her hometown were fighting with one another.
"Ugh. I'm really getting sick of this." Cozy Glow said as she flew over the town where she had stopped living in after she had outlived a majority of the friends she once made. "Year after year, the adults continue this endless civil war." She added.
"Psst." A unicorn colt said.
"Huh? What do you--" Cozy Glow started to ask but was forced into where the colt had come from. "Hey, what's the big idea?" Cozy Glow asked.
"It's not safe out there with the adults feuding like they always do." The colt said.
"Thanks, but I can take care of myself." Cozy Glow said.
"That's what Jimmy said once. He was a Pegasus just like you, and he was too stubborn to stay hidden with us." A Pegasus filly said.
"But he went and got killed by a stray attack from the adults. Since then, even other Pegasi foals like me and my sis stay hidden." A pegasus colt said, hugging the pegasus filly who spoke up.
"That's nice and all, but you don't really under--wait..." Cozy Glow suddenly realized something. "...This cival war stuff is affecting you all in such a negative way?" She asked.
"Yeah. Trouble is, we can't really tell the adults that." The unicorn colt said.
"And why can't you?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Because none of us want to end up like Jimmy." An earth pony filly said.
"That was only when one of you went though. What if you all went at the same time? So many foals would DEFINETLY catch the attention of those adult ponies." Cozy Glow said.
"...Kid, what's your name?" The unicorn colt asked.
"It's Cozy Glow, but your mistaken, I'm not--" Cozy Glow tried to say.
"YOUR A GENIUS COZY GLOW! LET'S DO IT EVERY PONY! LET US FOALS UNITE!" The unicorn colt said.
With all the foals praising her, Cozy Glow no longer had the heart to tell them that she wasn't their age despite looking as such.
Cozy's plan worked out, and the town was no longer subject to a civil war.
"Heh. I always knew I had a knack for this kind of strategy." Cozy Glow said as she held a red rook; the same mark that was on her flank. "...It's just so sad I'll outlive them all all over again." Cozy Glow said. Suddenly she felt herself teleported away.
"Hey, where's Cozy Glow?" The unicorn colt said.
"Well, wherever that foal is, I do hope she realized how thankful this town is." The colt's dad said. "From this moment on, this town shall become known as Cozy Glow Village!" He added.
Cozy Glow meanwhile was in some sort of strange plane of existence. "Where am I?" She asked before Twilight Sparkle appeared. "P-princess Twilight Sparkle of Equestria." Cozy Glow said before bowing.
"There is no need to bow before me young Cozy Glow. Although for you, 'young' is a realtive term, is it not?" Twilight Sparkle said.
"Yes. You could say that." Cozy Glow said. "My first friends, and some others I've made since, I've outlived them all. I don't understand why I have the appearance of a foal. And I want to see them all again. To know that it wasn't a waste." She added.
"You need not fear. Here they are now." Twilight said before the five friends Cozy Glow made first suddenly appeared.
"What?! How are you here?" Cozy Glow asked.
"This place exists inbetween the world of the living and the realm of the dead. That's what we were told." The first pony, a Pegasus filly like Cozy Glow said.
"Every pony you've made friends with is with us too. We aren't the only ones here. We were just the ones you need to see the most." An Earth Pony colt said.
"I don't understand. I want to join you, but I can't seem to." Cozy Glow said.
"You will one day Cozy Glow. Sure, that day is far in the future for you, but we're willing to wait for you. All of us." An earth pony filly said.
"And you shouldn't fret about making new friends. Even if you'll outlive them too, you'll see them when you do finally join us all on our side." A unicorn colt said.
"You mean, you're willing to wait for me? No matter how long it takes?" Cozy Glow asked, on the verge of tears.
"Of course, we are Cozy Glow. We would never abandon you." Another unicorn colt said.
"You guys..." Cozy Glow was in tears. "Come here, let me hug you before you go." She said before hugging her first five friends.
Twilight smiled. Cozy Glow didn't need the alicorn princess to tell the pegasus what this meant for Cozy Glow; Twilight knew.
"Cozy Glow, they can't be here for long. But fret not, you will see them again. You are not immortal. Just like how I am not immortal." Twilight said.
With tears still in her eyes, Cozy Glow turned to her friends. "You better make sure when I get where you are, we play lots and lots of games okay?" Cozy Glow asked.
"We will. We promise." The five ponies said at once before they faded.
"So, was that why I'm here? To be reassured I'll see them again? Because I did need that, Princess. So, thank you for that." Cozy Glow said.
"Not exactly Cozy Glow. There is another reason you are here." Twilight said before Cozy Glow felt her inner magic suddenly appear before her and then mold itself around her and a bright light to shine from Cozy Glow.
The town was still looking for Cozy Glow when she duddenly decended from the heavens, and spread her wings, though wings weren't all she had.
"C-Cozy Glow? You...your a..." The unicorn colt said.
"Your an alicorn!" The pegasus colt from before said.
"H-huh?" Cozy Glow felt her forhead, finding a horn there that wasn't there before. "I am an Alicorn. Whoa..." Cozy Glow said.
"Yes, you are Cozy Glow." Twilight's voice said before the purple alicorn in question appeared.
Twilight said she wasn't immortal. So even now, I'm not either. Cozy Glow thought to herself.
"Princess Twilight, what a pleasant surprise to see you in our town. We didn't make you mad with our silly squabbles, did we?" The unicorn colt's father asked.
"Not exactly. I am here because of Cozy Glow's accension." Twilight said.
"But she's just six years old." The unicorn colt said.
"I kept trying to tell you, I was older than you thought I was." Cozy Glow said. "In fact, I'm exactly three hundred, twenty-nine years old." Cozy Glow said.
"Th-three h-hundred...Tw-twenty..." At those words from the unicorn colt, everypony in town fainted at once.
"...And this is why I no longer lived in this town persay." Cozy Glow said.
After some time, Cozy Glow went to Canterlot with Twilight Sparkle. That same night, Cozy Glow looked towards the night sky.
"My friends. I know you'll be waiting for me for when my time is right. But I know that this country will need me in the near future. Already, I hear that there are enemies that threaten Equestria itself. I suppose my time here is not done yet. It's up to me to defend this land from its enemies. Only when there are no more threats to the country, can I consider my services no longer required." Cozy Glow said. "But until then, wait for me, my friends. I'll continue to make more, so you better make sure the other friends I make feel at home there with you, or you know I'll make sure there's hell to pay." She said with a giggle. "...See you guys then." The pink alicorn went inside the castle after that.
Several Years have passed since Cozy Glow had begun living in Canterlot. It was discovered shortly that Twilight Sparkle had used a special spell on the original five who formed the High Council that made them live as long as the purple alicorn did. There was one catch to this: The five could still do whatever they could to help Twilight rule the kingdom, but they could never become high coincil members again. And as for Rainbow Dash, she should remain as the Wonderbolt Captain until Rainbow Dash found a worthy successor to the captain's seat.
Also during this time is when Cozy Glow discovered that Scootaloo had also been given the same spell, and that she was Rainbow Dash's Wingpony for the Wonderbolts now. The orange Pegasus had also gotten her cutie mark for being such a natural stunt flier the same day that she had impressed the crowd when she had hijacked the Opening Ceremony for the Wonderbolts.
And now we turn our attention to a new era of Pony Kind.
"Can't catch me sis." A navy blue Pegasus said on the streets of Canterlot.
"I'll get you this time Luna." A white unicorn said, chasing after the navy blue pegasus. The White Unicorn's name was Celestia, and the Pegasus was her sister Luna. These two sisters lived in Canterlot, and despite the two being separate species, Celestia had managed to figure out ways the two could play together.
"Luna, try not to wear your sister out too much." The two's father said.
"She has that test to get into Princess Twilight's School for Gifted Unicorns happening today after all." The two's mother said.
"I know mom and dad. I'm just having a little bit of fun before we have to separate." Luna said.
"Oh yeah. You're going to be heading off to Flight School today." Celestia said.
"Hey, don't worry too much sis. We'll see each other again before you know it. And I'll be sure to write you to let you know how I'm doing." Luna said.
"I know you will Luna." Celestia said. She looked at the time. "...You best get going." The unicorn said.
"Yeah. Same to you. Now go ace that test like I know you will." Luna said before leaving with the two's father.
Celestia and her mother approached the receptionist, a blue unicorn mare.
"Oh, hello there, how may I help you?" The unicorn asked. Celestia got a good look at the unicorn.
"Err, my daughter is here to take the entrance exam to Princess Twilight's School for gifted Unicorns." Celestia's mother said.
"Hey I know you. Your Trixie, friend of Starlight Glimmer who happens to be one of the members of the High Council." Celestia said.
"Wow, you've obviously been reading up. What's your name?" Trixie asked.
"Celestia." Celestia answered. Just then, a big purple and green dragon entered, letting Celestia get a good look at the dragon.
"Heya Trixie. Just thought you should know that the pony who delivered the list of signed up students for the entrance exam messed up. They didn't give you the updated list." The Dragon said, handing over a larger scroll then Trixie was already looking at.
"Oh. I see." Trixie said grabbing the bigger scroll with her magic. "I bet her highness has already given that pony an earful." She added.
"Oh my gosh, your Spike!" Celestia said. "Your Princess Twilight's Number One assistant!" She added with glee.
"Your Celestia Right? I'll be watching from the sidelines for your exam, so we'll catch up later." Spike said before leaving.
"The glorious Spike knows my name! He knows my name!" Celestia said with glee.
"Well of course he does. Your name is on the updated list." Trixie said. "Your test will begin shortly." She added.
"Trixie, you can go ahead and send the next candidate in." A female voice said.
"Th-that was the voice of Rainbow Dash, Captain of the Wonderbolts." Celestia said with awe.
"She's one of the five judges. One of the others being Spike, two members of the current High Council, and then there's Blueblood." Trixie said. "...Honestly, I don't care if the dude is a Nobel, he isn't a prince that's for darn sure." She added.
Celestia entered the exam hall. That was where she saw Spike, Rainbow Dash, and three other ponies.
Celestia knew Rainbow Dash and two of the other ponies, but it was the third new face that had her the most concerned. If the white unicorn had to guess, this was that Blueblood character Trixie mentioned.
“Shall we begin?” The unicorn that had a hairstyle that reminded Celestia of Princess Twilight said. The white Unicorn knew of this mare as Moondancer, another member of the high coincil.
“So, where’s the test? I’ve studied hard. But if you want a demonstration test, I can do that too.” Celestia said.
“We don’t need you to demonstrate for us.” The white unicorn stallion said as a phoenix egg was rolled in. “Just use whatever spells you want to try and hatch this egg.” He added.
“Wait hold up, I thought Twilight said we should NOT do the egg test? Did you go behind her back again?” Rainbow Dash said.
“Twilight’s gonna hear about this.” Starlight said.
“I just have to hatch the egg right?” Celestia asked.
Spike blinked. “But you can’t. It’s impossible!” He said.
“Just watch me!” Celestia said before she tried every spell she knew to hatch the egg.
Curious. She has the same natural capabilities as her highness and Starlight. Blueblood said.
As Celestia kept trying, suddenly an explosion in the sky happened and it put Celestia’s magic into overdrive. Thinking quickly, Moondancer put up a shield for her and the other judges as Celestia’s Magic not only hatched the egg, but also turned her father into a potted plant.
However, that latter thing was quickly undone when the Princess arrived. “I sensed a large magical surge. Are you alright, Celestia?” Twilight asked.
“I’m fine. I’m sorry I lost control of my magic.” Celestia said.
“Magical surges can happen without warning, but with some proper tutoring, you can learn to adjust yourself. I think you’ll do fine as my personal student.” Twilight said.
“R-really? Oh thank you. Thank you so much.” Celestia said.
“There are two other things to note first.” Twilight said as a Phoenix suddenly landed itself on Celestia before sleeping.
“Did I hatch the egg?” Celestia asked.
“Yes. And that’s not the only thing.” Twilight noted Celestia’s new cutie mark.
“My cutie mark! I got my cutie mark! Yes!” Celestia said with glee.
Season 0: Episode 1 - Two Princesses and a Roommate
Celestia stretched as she woke up. For the week leading up to when classes start up, the unicorn has been allowed to sleep in the dorm rooms. Though she has yet to even meet her roommate. Deciding to head for the kitchen for breakfast, Celestia suddenly comes across a very familiar pink alicorn.
"P-princess Cozy Glow?!" Celestia exclaimed.
"That's me." Cozy Glow said. "You must be one of the new students right? You'll probably see me around."
"I-It's such an honor to meet you, your highness. I can't believe I'm actually talking to the Warrior Princess herself!" Celestia said.
"...You do realize that that's not my title right? For my real title--"
"Is the Princess of Negotiations. I know that, but every pony my age refers to you as the Warrior Princess for how you've been so successful in the various wars you've taken command of." Celestia interrupted. "After all, isn't it true you've never lost a battle?"
"Well dang, I'm surprised you keep up with that kiddo. Regardless, you've kept me long enough." Cozy Glow said before she put on a helmet.
"Oh, are you heading to do another war?" Celestia asked.
"Nah; it's just that I've been assigned to escort some pony named 'Queen Chrysalis' to Canterlot. She apparently wants to negotiate with Twilight Sparkle directly for reasons I'm unsure of yet." Cozy Glow said. "But since she's actually reached out to us first for a direct face-to-face diplomacy, we have every right to hear her out."
"Oh. Well, regardless, I wish you luck. Not that you need it. Like I said, there's a reason every foal my age refers to you as the Warrior Princess rather than the Princess of Negotiations. Plus, it sounds cooler." Celestia said.
Cozy Glow ruffled Celestia's mane. "You're alright kiddo. I really hope I bump into the likes of you again down the line." She then flew off.
Celestia couldn't help her enthusiasm as she headed through the castle some more to head to the kitchen. I can't believe Princess Cozy Glow wants to chat with me again. Luna would be so jealous of me right now.
Celestia soon found the kitchen where she was greeted by Princess Twilight. "Ah. Good morning Celestia. You're a little early for breakfast still." Princess Twilight stated.
"Huh?" Celestia then decided to look at the clock. It was five minutes before six in the morning. "B-but I thought..."
"Seems you woke up just a little too early. Tomorrow, try to sleep a little bit more than this, okay? I'd hate for you to start neglecting your body's need to sleep." Twilight said.
"Oh...okay..." Celestia said. Still, getting to chat with Princess Cozy Glow was so worth it!
That's when another unicorn about Celestia's age soon entered the dining hall. The foal in question was mostly green, and their mane color was yellow which paired well with the fact their cutie mark was a yellow star. "Morning Princess." The foal said.
"Ah you're a bit early too, but I'm glad you came by so early." Twilight said. "Celestia, I'd like for you to meet your roommate Lucky Star."
"Roommate?" At that word, Lucky Star looked at Celestia.
"Hello, my name's Celestia." Celestia said.
"...Your nice. That's good. I do hope we'll get along great." Lucky Star said.
"I know we will!" Celestia said.
Food was brought out a bit later. "Food's here, so let's have breakfast." Twilight said.
After Breakfast, the two foals began to chat with one another to get to know each other a little better.
"Seriously? You woke up early enough to see Princess Cozy Glow go off on one of her excursians?" Lucky Star said.
"That's right. It was so cool to get a little time to chat with her before she left." Celestia said.
"Wow. I can't believe you managed to do that. I'm a little jelly of that." Lucky Star said.
"By the way, do you have any siblings, Lucky Star?" Celestia asked.
"While I'm technically an only child, I would sometimes hear mom talking to the ceiling saying things about some pony she calls 'Volt Lightning' and how she would've made a great older sister. So, I must have an older sister somewhere out in the world." Lucky Star said.
Celestia suddenly winced. D-do I even dare tell her that her so called 'older sister' is dead? My mom taught me about death and the afterlife, but do I dare ruin Lucky Star's hopes and dreams? She thought to herself. She then collected herself. No; no, I should not. If there's one other thing mom told me, it's that the death of a family member is one of the worst things you can tell some pony.
"I hope you get to meet her one day." Celestia said. It wasn't a lie per-say, but it was better than the alternative.
"Well, that's very kind of you to say Celestia. I hope I get to meet her one day too." Lucky Star said.
Celestia just smiled. She really didn't have the heart to tell Lucky Star the real truth. But...maybe by giving Lucky Star hope that she'll see her sister in the future will be enough.
Season 0: Episode 2 - Nightly Talk (Easter Madness 2024)
That very night, Princess Twilight Sparkle knocked on a door marked with Rainbow Dash's cutie mark.
"Who's out there?" Rainbow's voice asked from within.
"It's me; I'd like some time to talk if you don't mind." Twilight said.
"Oh, it's only you Twi. Come on in." Rainbow Dash said from within her room. Twilight then entered the pegasus's room at the castle, there were quite a few things lining the room, including a large case that was full of Gold Trophies(R02).
"So, what do you think of my room here?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"It's...different to say the least." Twilight said. "But it's also very you. You only have a few more days before you have to return to Wonderbolt duties, right?"
"Yeah yeah, I know, I know. Don't worry, I'll have things packed and ready to move out when it's time; you didn't worry about that." Rainbow Dash said. "So, what did you want to talk about?"
"...Sunset Shimmer..." Twilight said as she looked out a nearby window.
"Oh. You know no pony blames you when she basically went all coo-coo crazy on us; right?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Then why do I still feel guilty about the whole thing? Why do I want to believe there wasn't some way to save her back then? As if I could do something to cleanse her worries?!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Breath Twilight. Just breath." Rainbow Dash said, conforting the alicorn.
Twilight managed to calm herself down. "...Thanks for that Rainbow." The purple alicorn said.
"There's nothing we can do that'll change the past. All we can do is hope she'll come back and everything will be all sunshine and lollipops again. And yes, I know this is me saying that; but for once, I don't mind being the one that says it." Rainbow Dash said.
Twilight chuckled. "We all know just how much you can't stand mushy stuff, but I'm glad you were willing to swallow that pill for a change."
"Heh. Knew that'd lighten the mood a little for you. You welcome for that." Rainbow Dash said.
"Isn't lightning the mood Pinkie Pie's Job?" Twilight asked.
"Did some pony mention my name?" Pinkie Pie was suddenly right behind Twilight.
"What the...PINKIE!" Rainbow Dash was shocked by the appearance of the party crazed Earth Pony.
Twilight laughed. "It's nice to see you in good spirits too." She said.
"When is she not?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Okay yeah sure, there was that one time when we surprised her with a birthday party, and she got the wrong idea over it but still..."
"That was certainly something nice you gals did for me. Not even I saw that one coming, and that's saying something. It takes a lot to slip something passed me." Pinkie Pie said.
"We know Pinkie; trust me, we know." Twilight said. "But since your here, did you get the files I asked for?"
"You bet your sweet Canterlot bibbies I did!" Pinkie Pie said before rumminging through her mane.
Her Sweet Canterlot Bibbies? Rainbow Dash thought to herself as she groaned while face hoofing from that. Never change Pinkie Pie...never change...
"Here you go!" Pinkie Pie said producing the files from her mane.
"One of these days, I'd love to learn that trick with hiding things in your mane." Twilight said as she looked over the files. They contained information about five ponies she knew had gotten their cutie marks at the exact same time as Celestia.
The first was Pear Butter, an earth pony born to the Pear Family who has a crush on the Apple Family's Bright Mac.
The second was Cookie Crumbs, a Unicorn who wanted to hit it big in the fashion world when she grew up.
The third was Luna, Twilight already know that this was the Pegasus sister to her trainee Celestia who was currently in Flight School.
The fourth was Chiffon Swirl, an earth Pony who wants to work at Surgarcube Corner for a Mr. Carrot Cake when she's older.
And fifth was Spitfire, a pegasus filly who dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt as great as her idol Rainbow Dash.
Speaking of the cyan pegasus, she swipped the file of Spitfire from Twilight. "Huh. Call me crazy, but I think this one has potential to finally be my successor." Rainbow Dash said.
"I'm very surprised you'd say that Rainbow Dash. And I know you've been very picky about it too." Twilight said.
"I keep telling Crescent Moon I want only someone who will embody our ideals of what makes a great Wonderbolt as my successor. And he's been very patient, though he is running out of time..." Rainbow Dash said.
"I know. Trust me, I know. But I know he has a plan for a successor to his role as Wonderbolt Manager." Twilight said.
"Plus, I already know you're looking at Celestia as your successor." Rainbow Dash said, leaning on the alicorn.
"...You know me too well." Twilight said. "I just hope she doesn't end up like Candence, that other unicorn who had a strong magical alignment."
