Four new students transfer to CHS and Sci-Twi knows them. The Rainbooms are suspicious of them, thinking the worst, especially when Sci-Twi would rather spend time with them than the band.

Sci-Twi was thought to not have any friends when she was young. Everyone knew she was a shy bookworm, more obsessed with studies than social outings. Though she is getting better after the Friendship Games and Camp Everfree, with the Rainbooms as her friends

But that is far from the truth. She did have friends but not like the Rainbooms. And the four of them have transferred over, leading to a tearful reunion.

With her old friends back, she begins to spend more time with them than the Rainbooms, leaving the band feeling jealous of them and their friendship with Twilight, making them believe that they are under the influence of Equestrian Magic and using it against her

But is that just envy talking?

Chapter 1 - Bus Ride

The road was rather quiet. No cars, no people rushing back and forth. Just a bus with a driver inside as he was trying to make conversation with the three teens currently riding.

“So Savage City High? You guys seriously came from that place?” The bus driver asked the three students in the bus.

The first was a 17-year-old girl with dark mulberry skin, a pink mohawk and aqua eyes with a faint scar over her right eye, dressed in a black T-shirt with a pink firework design on the front under a black, low-cut leather jacket, black jeans and pair of black combat boots with purple laces.

Next was a skinny 17-year-old boy with lime green skin and long, red hair. His eyes were strange as they were red with white pupils like an insect, dressed in a yellow hoodie, blue jeans and yellow and white sneakers.

Third was a 17-year-old girl with long green hair and magnolia coloured skin with purple eyes with a mole under the right. She was dressed in a white blouse under a golden overcoat, brown hakama pants and yellow boots.

The final occupant was another 17-year-old boy with brown skin and neatly combed brown hair plus green eyes. He wore a violet polo, black slacks and smart shoes as well as a long purple coat and a fedora.

“Yeah. What’s wrong?” The girl in purple asked in a low tone.

“Nothing. Just the rumours about that place are well…insane.” The drive answered.

“Who said they were rumours?” The boy in the hat said in a smooth tone while he smiled.

“Oh you know some people…’ The driver’s eyes soon widened as he realised what he meant. ‘Wait, they are true?!”

“Eh, who knows? That would be telling.” The other boy said, his voice slightly nasally. As the other boy snickered.

“OK, but anyways? Why come to Canterlot?” The driver asked in an uneasy tone.

“We transferred to a school. Canterlot High? At least it's better than that prissy dump called Crystal Prep The other girl said in a disgusted tone.

“There was an offer to transfer to that place back at our old school and we managed to win the chance.” The fedora wearing hat added.

“Well, welcome to Canterlot. Just be careful, the city’s been taking the trip down cuckoo land recently.” The driver said as he pulled to a stop.

The three looked at each other in confusion.

“OK?” They said as they got off.

As the bus drove away, they were in front of a large building with a wrecked horse statue.

“So they are here?” The green boy said.

“That’s right, Thorax. Man will they be surprised.’ The other boy spoke then looked at the girl. ‘Hey Tempest you alright?” He asked his female companion in concern.

“I’m fine, just nervous. I mean, we haven’t really been speaking much to her lately, Capper” Tempest said in a calm tone, but one could hear the unease in her voice.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” The other girl said.

“Celaeno, we haven’t spoken to her in a long time. What if she has forgotten about us?” Tempest asked in slight worry.

“Come on, it will be alright. They won’t hold a grudge because of what happened. I mean, the last time we spoke to them was about what was going on in their school.”

“I know but I just have a feeling.” Tempest said.

“Look, we all need to go and get ready. We need to get our apartments ready and we can enjoy the rest of the weekend.” Thorax said with a smile.

Tempest let a small grin show.

“Yeah. I mean, how crazy can this place be?” She said as they made their way to their new homes.

“Hey, after everything we went through a few years ago?

Little did they know that this will start the revival of an old group.

And this time Equestrian magic has nothing to do with it.

MEanwhile, inside a bedroom a young girl was busy getting ready for her day at school, her long indigo and pink hair flowing in the hair dryers’ wind, all the hile feeding her pet dog as she got ready.

She was totally unaware of what will happen today as she will come across people from her past. One she had nearly forgotten about.

“You know Spike, I have a feeling today is going to be interesting.” She said as she left her home, ready to meet her friends at the school.

Reunion

“C’mon Spike! We gotta get to the library!” A female voice said.

A 17-years-old girl with indigo hair with a pink streak done in a ponytail, purple skin and eyes, wearing a blue striped blouse, purple skirt and black buckled shoes was racing down the street with a purple puppy with green tufts and a blue collar around his neck.

“Wait up, Twi!” Spike said as he chased after his owner.

The two were speeding down the sidewalk, eager to get to their destination. The rest of the Rainbooms had planned a visit to a concert over the weekend, however due to the short amount of tickets they had on them, only six of them could go.

Naturally, none of them were willing but Twilight chose to stay out of the concert.

Her reason? She really hates crowds. She may have been friends with them but it will take a while for her to get used to crowds.

So while they went to the concert, she and Spike were chilling at home, getting work done and heading off to the library to read some new books.

She was so eager that she didn’t look where she was going, colliding into someone at high speed.

“OW!” Both said.

Twilight began searching for her glasses

“Oh I am so sorry! I had no idea you were in front of--!”

She was then cut off by a surprised voice.

“What the?! Bright Spark?! Is that you?!”

Twilight froze as her eyes widened. Only a few people ever called her that. Placing her glasses over her eyes, she refocused her vision as she let out a yelp of surprise.

“Tempest?!”

<Tempest’s POV>

After she finished moving into her apartment, Tempest decided to take a stroll around the town, all the while the rest were getting their places ready.

As she walked down the street, she was taken in by the atmosphere.
“Man, this place is WAY different than Savage City.” she said to herself. Everyone was friendly with each other from the many teens to the adults.

She was busy looking around but she didn’t notice someone running into her.

“OW! Who did--?!” She yelled at whoever ran into her but then her eyes widened at the girl.

“What the?! Bright Spark?! Is that you?!”

The girl’s eyes also widened as she put the glasses back on, her eyes wide in shock

“Tempest?!” She yelled.

The two stood there in silence as they took in their features.

Then they broke out into wide smiles.

“WOAH/WOAH!” They yelled as they pulled each other into a hug.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!” They yelled at the same time.

“I ASKED YOU FIRST!”

“NO, I ASKED YOU FIRST!”

Tempest chuckled.

“Sorry, sparky. Me and some friends from our old school transferred to a school in this place! We just moved into our apartments a couple of hours ago!” Tempest spoke.

“Seriously?! And you never told me?! Wait. Others? You mean?!” Twilight asked, hoping it would be true.

“Hell yeah! Celano, Capper and Thorax are here too! They also got transferred here!”

Twilight whooped in joy as she leapt into the air.

“Say, you and the rest of the guys wanna meet somewhere for a proper reunion? I know a good place to do so.” Twilight asked.

“That sounds good! Here, let me text them.” Tempest said as she took out her phone.

Back at the block of apartments, the three were out on the balcony, catching their breaths.

“Man, who knew moving in would be so hard?” Capper said as he stretched his arms, the sound of bones clicking into position.

“Yeah…Man, I shouldn’t have brought a lot of crap with me.” Celano mumbled as she bent backwards.

“Hey, at least we’re done. We can use this time to explore the city.” Thorax reasoned, drinking from a bottle.

Suddenly, three beeps went off and they looked at their phones.

“You guys got a message to meet up at a café?” Celano asked.

“Yep/Uh-huh.” The boys said.

“Something about a surprise?”

“Got that/Oh yeah.”

“And the location of the place. You all got it?”

“Yep/Got it.”

The three were silent.

“Well, should we get going?” Celano asked them and the two shrugged their shoulders. It couldn’t hurt.

The three then entered the diner, looking for Tempest.

“OK, we’re here. So where is Tempest?” Capper asked, scratching his head.

Thorax looked around and saw Tempest, who was waving at them.

“Hey, guys!’ He alerted the two. ‘Found her!”

The three approached her, wanting to ask her something.

“Alright Tempest, what’s this about a surprise?” Celano asked as she approached her but the three froze at who she was with.

“Hey, guys.” Twilight said as she waved her fingers sheepishly.

The three were silent before Thorax broke it.

“Twilight?!”

“Yeah, Thor. It’s me.”

Soon, the three broke into smiles as they approached the bookworm, enveloping her in a group hug.

“This was the surprise?!” Celano asked the mohawk girl.

“Damn straight!” She said with a grin.

“Man, that was a performance!” Capper added, laughing as he let go of TWilight.

Soon, all five were seated in the booth.

“Man, how long has it been?! What have you been up to since you moved out of Savage City?!” Thorax asked.

Twilight just chuckled.

“It’s a long story.”

Catching Up

Outside a house, a group of five teens were gathered by a local café, watching as the truck began to fill with boxes.

“Still can’t believe that this is happening…” Thorax sighed into his drink.

“Yeah. I mean, I know it is a great opportunity…but it doesn’t ease the fact that we are not only leaving our home…’ Twilight felt tears build up as she addressed her friends. ‘But our little Chaos Quintet is gonna become a quartet.” She spoke.

“Hey, ease up.’ Tempest said with a smile. ‘You have an actual shot in this life. Don’t forget, you’re the smartest girl in our school and the fact that stuffy old geezer from Crystal Prep knows that and offered you a chance to make something of your life…you would have to be insane not to take it.” She said.

“TEmpest’s right. I mean, here is an opportunity to use that brain for something amazing and you don’t wanna take it?! You have to be insane.” Celano replied.

“I know. But, we’ve been friends since we were kids. We’ve played together and fought together. Just…I’m worried we may forget what we have if I move.”

“Hey, that won’t happen. You know the motto of Savage City.” Capper said with a smile.

The other four knew what he meant. Everyone in the city said it.

“Once a Savage Citizen, Always a Savage Citizen.” They said as they clinked their drinks.

“You know…’ Tempest said with a grin. ‘Since you ARE leaving, there is something we need to do as tradition.”

Soon the other four looked at her with blank stares…that then shifted with sly grins as well.

Looking down from the building they were on, all five smirked at the crowd that gathered.

“Well, since you are leaving, wanna do the honours?” Tempest asked.

“It’ll be my damn pleasure. Chaos Quintet?”

“LET’S CAUSE SOME CHAOS!” They yelled as they dove down.

Back to the present, the five reunited friends were now having some delicious smoothies as they chatted.

“Man, nothing beats a cold smoothie than having one with some old friends.” Twilight said with a smile.
“Hell yeah! I never thought I would see the day that our old group reunited after so long!” Capper said.

“Say, you know what would be good? Is…’ Thorax asked when a yip came from beside her.

Popping out was a purple dog with a green mane.

“SPIKE!” Thorax cheered as he hugged him as the dog lathered his tongue over the boy.

“I can see someone missed their best friend.” Celano said with a smirk.

“Anyways, what about you Twi? I mean, last we heard you were eager to start Crystal Prep but then you wound up ghosting us.” Capper had to ask but Twi paused before she sighed, placing her glass on the counter.

“Turns out, Crystal Prep wasn’t exactly the paradise I thought it was.” she grumbled.

This got their attention.

“It was extremely competitive! Everyone always wanted to reach number one, they were so arrogant that calling them peacocks would be an insult to them and I was pretty much a dartboard for always hitting the top!”

“You’re kidding.” Tempest asked.

“Yeah. And because I had to hide my roots back home, well…you can guess what happened.” She said in a slightly miserable tone.

“Damn…no wonder you ghosted us.” Celano spoke in realisation.

“Yeah. I apologise for that. I was dealing with that stone prison at the time.”

“No problem.”

Soon Thorax had to ask.

“So what happened next? You get therapy or something?”

“Nah, but after the Friendship Games…’ She was then cut off by snickers from Capper.

“I’m-I’m sorry but ‘Friendship Games’? Seriously? What, you go around singing Kumbaya or something?”

Twilight glared at him for the cheeky comment.
“Yes. Anyways, let’s just say, I had a mental breakdown and decided to transfer for greener pastures. Some of the students at CHS are actually some new friends of mine.”

“Really?” Now everyone was interested. Let’s see if they were as good as they say.

Twilight booted her phone and showed them a picture of them. All six were seventeen years old with different features.

The first was a redhead with yellow streaks, yellow king and aquamarine eyes, dressed in a teal T-shirt under a low-cut leather jacket with yellow stripes on the arms, blue jeans and heeled boots with an orange pendant around her neck, her arms were crossed as she smirked

“That’s Sunset Shimmer. From what I heard, she used to be a bully before she got her act together. It took a while but from what I hear, she is way more popular than ever.”

Next one had cyan skin, pink eyes and a rainbow coloured ponytail, dressed in a white T-shirt under a blue hoodie, black sweats and trainers with rainbow wristbands on her wrists plus a blue pendant around her neck as she crouched down with a fist raised and a cocky look on her face.

“Rainbow Dash. Top athlete of CHS and all around cocky smartass. But you can expect her to always be there for you, ride or die.”

Next was an elegant girl with white skin, blue eyes and curly, purple hair held by blue diamond hair clips. Her entire appearance showed she took care of herself, dressed in a blue dress with rhinestones, purple pants and heels with golden bracelets plus a purple pendant around her neck. She hand a hand under her chin as she looked ahead with a half-lidded stare and a tiny smile.

“Rarity is a fashion queen. Elegant and mature plus she is always generous.”

Fourth was a slightly muscular girl with golden skin, green eyes and a blonde ponytail plus freckles on her face, dressed in a green and white t-shirt with a red apple on the front, blue jean skirt and cowgirl boots plus a stetson on her head and a red pendant around her neck. One foot was cocked up as a hand was on her hip and another was tilting her hat back as she smiled.

“Applejack. Hard-worker and extremely honest to a fault. She is extremely reliable”

Next one had long, wavy pink hair, teal eyes and butterscotch skin, dressed in a teal sundress and pink heels, with a butterfly hairclip as she held a rabbit in her hand, looking shyly at the camera, wearing a pink pendant around her neck.

“The shy girl is Fluttershy. She loves animals and is extremely kind to anyone.”

The final was a girl with light pink skin, poofy pink hair and baby blue eyes, dressed in a white dress with three balloons on it, a ruffled pink skirt, white stockings and pink wedges as she leapt into the air with a happy smile.

“And Pinkie Pie. Always wanting to throw a party and to have fun. She can make you laugh easily. Just…don’t try to understand her.” She finished.

“Er…what do you…?” Thorax said

“Trust me.” Twilight interrupted.

“So, these girls helped you out?” Tempest said as they looked at the picture.

“Yeah. Without them, I would be stuck at that Academy as a lonely outcast.”

“I’m more interested in the pendants ya wearing. Where did you get them?” Capper asked.

Twilight touched the purple pendant around her neck.

“Let me give you four an early warning. CHS has become quite the hub of wackiness. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”

“Twi, after what we went through a few years back, nothing will surprise us anymore. How wacky can it be?” Capper said.

Before Twilight could answer, a scream, shout and a gurgle roared out, catching their attention.

Twilight soon figured out what was happening.

“You’re about to find out.”
