A teenage boy was in his room setting up his phone ready to film another video for his YouTube channel.
“Hey, it's Fred!”
The boy’s voice was so loud and high-pitched that he could break any glass cup or mirror with it.
“So recently I watched this show called My Little Pony and I really like it a lot! I’m a brony now! This show is just so cute and funny!”
Fred quickly went to grab a plush and showed it to the camera.
“I’ve been buying merchandise like this plush toy.”
The plush presented was a blue pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail.
“And yeah, my favorite character is Rainbow Dash. Fight me on that. I even drew my own OC!”
Fred showed the camera a piece of paper with a drawing that showed a blue earth pony with a blonde mane and tail. On its flank showed a boy’s head with black hair smiling with braces on his teeth. Right below the pony was the name “FRED” with all the letters capitalized and the R being backwards.
“It’s just me ponified. And look at my cutie mark! It matches my shirt! Anyways, my dream is to go to Equestria and meet Rainbow Dash and maybe even the Mane Six. I told my friends that at school but they all laughed and picked on me! Not just because they said it was stupid, but that it doesn’t exist! And when Kevin found out I was a brony he started punching me, calling me gay because the show was for little girls. Then everyone at school started filming me getting punched! The worst part was that Judy was watching me getting beat! It was so embarrassing!”
Fred then let out a long shriek and tears started to form in his eyes.
“Do you know how embarrassing it is for your crush just watching you getting beat up by some guy?! Now that video is probably everywhere now!”
The high-pitched boy wiped the tears off his eyes.
“You know what? I don’t care what anyone says! I’m gonna go to Equestria and prove to everyone that… uh, well that it’s real! Luckily for me, I just so happen to have a portal that goes to Equestria that I built. I learned from some guy on the street so if you wanna make your own, the link will be in the description below.”
Fred grabbed his phone and started heading out his room.
“The portal is in my basement and my mom doesn’t know about it so I have to be quiet when getting down there.”
The teenager headed downstairs to the kitchen which then led to the basement. Fred walked downstairs and pulled down a string to light up the light bulb.
Right there was the portal to Equestria. The portal had a blue rim and inside it looked like a view of the town Ponyville.
“Alright guys! I’m about to head in! Three, two, one!”
Fred jumped inside the portal and started spinning round and round.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!”
Fred came out of the portal all dizzy, his eyes spinning in circles.
“Ugh… Where am I?”
Looking to his left and right, Fred saw ponies walking around and in the center was Ponyville’s town hall.
“OH MY GOSH!!!”
Fred noticed that he was on all fours. Looking at his hooves, they were blue, just like his OC’s.
“NO WAY!!!”
His mane and tail were blond, just like his OC’s, and checking his flank, the cutie mark matched.
“I’M ACTUALLY MY OWN OC IN EQUESTRIA!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!”
In his new pony body, the energetic colt went running around to everypony in sight.
“YOU’RE THAT ONE PONY THAT GETS COMPARED TO COLGATE TOOTHPASTE!!!”
Fred stopped recording on his phone to take a picture with the blue unicorn. He then started recording again.
“AAAAAAHHHHH!!! THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!”
The energetic colt took off leaving the blue unicorn confused.
“What just happened? There’s toothpaste called Colgate?”
Fred excitedly walked around Ponyville trying to meet other ponies. He then saw a cream colored earth pony with a turquoise unicorn.
“IT’S LYRA AND BON BON!!!”
Fred quickly ran up to the mares now being in between the two of them.
“Can I take a picture with you two?”
Before they could answer, Fred had already taken the picture.
“Thank you so much!”
The two just watched as the crazy earth pony went running off again.
Fred had been talking with ponies and taking pictures with them ever since he arrived. However, he wasn’t ready to leave yet. His goal was to meet Rainbow Dash and take a picture with her, or just any of the Mane Six. As he was passing Sugarcube Corner, the doors to the factory opened and out came a pink earth pony with a pink puffy mane and tail.
“Pinkie Pie?!”
The pink pony turned around facing Fred.
“Yep! That’s me!”
“Oh my gosh! I’m actually talking to THE Pinkie Pie!”
“Wow! You sound excited.”
“You bet I am! Hey, can I take a picture with you?”
“Sure!”
Fred went next to Pinkie Pie and took the picture. After taking the picture, Pinkie noticed the weird device Fred used to take the picture with.
“What kind of camera is that?” Pinkie asked.
“Oh, um…”
Fred, not knowing what to say as his type of technology doesn’t exist in this world, went up to her ear to whisper something.
“I come from the future.”
“What?!”
“Yeah. This is what cameras will look like in forty years.”
Pinkie Pie was just left speechless.
“Well I gotta go. Bye!”
Fred was going to go back home until he saw a pegasus fly past him.
“Huh?”
Looking back, the pegasus who flew by had a light blue coat and a rainbow mane and tail. It was none other than Rainbow Dash.
“RAINBOW DASH!?!?! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!”
Fred chased down the rainbow pegasus eager to talk to her before he headed back home. Clearly however, Fred couldn’t catch up to her as he has no wings. The blue pony happened to come across the Twinkle Balloon which was being run by a pink earth pony with a yellow mane and tail. He quickly changed directions from chasing Rainbow Dash to heading to the Twinkle Balloon.
“Hey!” Fred was panting from chasing the rainbow pegasus. “I need… to head… to Cloudsdale!”
“I would let you on but one, earth ponies can’t step on clouds, only pegasi. And two, you need a ticket to get on the Twinkle Balloon,” replied the pink pony.
Fred, not having a ticket, had to find a way to get on the balloon as he doesn’t have any change on him. Looking around, his eyes laid on an old stallion just minding his own business. This gave him an idea.
The blue pony walked up to the old stallion.
“Hey sir! Can you please buy me a ticket for the Twinkle Balloon? I want to look at the wonders of Cloudsdale.”
“What’s in it for me?” asked the old stallion.
“Well, I have a single mom and she’s desperate. She’ll wanna date you for sure.”
Sparking the stallion’s interest, he bought a ticket from the ticket stand and handed it to Fred.
“Thanks. I’ll tell my mom all about you as soon as possible.”
Fred headed back to the Twinkle Balloon and handed the pink pony the ticket.
“So you’re just sightseeing?” she asked.
“Yup.”
The blue pony was allowed onto the Twinkle Balloon as it flew up into the air.
The Twinkle Balloon had made it at Cloudsdale. Fred scouted the area until he saw the rainbow pegasus. Few minutes of searching later, Fred spotted a cloud mansion that was spewing out rainbows. Rainbow Dash perched down onto the cloud mansion.
“RAINBOW DASH!!!”
“Huh?”
The rainbow pegasus turned around to see the Twinkle Balloon in the sky. Inside the balloon was Fred who was waving his forehooves.
“I’M COMIN’ DOWN!!!”
Fred then jumped out the Twinkle Balloon.
“Hey wait!”
The pink pony tried to grab onto Fred, but it was too late. The blue pony came falling down onto the cloud mansion and went straight through it.
“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! HELP ME!!!”
Fred was falling down the sky rapidly. He looked down below him, then looked back to his phone that was recording.
“Well, I guess this is it for me. Guys, please make sure to like and subscribe as this might be the last video on my YouTube channel. Good-bye everyone. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!”
Fred was almost about to hit the floor. But suddenly, a pegasus swooshed down saving Fred from the fall. The blue pony opened his eyes and was greeted with the rainbow pegasus Rainbow Dash carrying him to safety.
“Don’t worry, I got ya.”
Rainbow Dash landed on the ground placing Fred down gently.
“You okay?” asked Rainbow Dash.
Fred was taking in the moment of what just happened.
“You saved me. YOU saved me. Rainbow Dash saved me! That’s so awesome!”
“Don’t sweat it. Just doing my thing.”
“Hey, can I take a picture with you?”
“Fellow fan? Sure.”
Fred went up to the rainbow pegasus to take the picture.
“What kind of camera is that?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Oh. It’s-”
Fred was interrupted from the phone notification. It was a text message from his mother.
“Oh, whaddya know? I gotta go.”
Before Rainbow Dash could let out a peep, Fred had already started heading back to the portal.
Fred had returned back to his universe in his normal human body. Before he could head to his room, his mother was in front of him and the portal arms crossed.
“Oh. H-hey mom. Y-you like the portal I made?”
