Kion, Bunga, Spike, and Twilight Sparkle all find themselves in a world where they meet their human counterparts while working together to get back Kion and Twilight's magical crowns back from the ambitous and scheming Sunset Shimmer.
It wasn't long since Scar took over the Pride Lands, and everyone is left now wondering what the best course of action for both Equestria and the Pride Lands future, while wondering how to defeat him with the upcoming Summit at the Crystal Empire their next best course of action.
But before any of that could happen, Kion had his new magically enhanced crown along with his sister's (really Twilight's) stolen by Sunset Shimmer, another former student of Princess Celestia's who seeks to achieve it's power leaving both Kion, Bunga, and Spike all following after the now villainous Twilight Sparkle for going after the unicorn.
There they all find themselves in a new universe where they all are all now humans in front of a high school where they meet their human counterparts who share a lot of parallel similarities to their friends back in their home world all living lives as high school students at Canterlot High with some testy tension underneath their skin deep down.
In order to get back Kion and Kiara's crowns back and stop Sunset Shimmer from unleashing her evil plan to take over both worlds, both Kion and Twilight have to work together and become Prince and Princess of the upcoming Fall Formal while having to deal with whatever trick she has up her sleeves.
But can they do it in the next three days, before their only way back to their world is closed off for the next thirty moons?
Only time will tell with teamwork and mended fences required in order to pull things through.
*Note (This takes place just after the Season 4 premiere in between Castle-Mania and Daring Don't)
One fine evening at Crystal Empire, The Friendship Express arrives at the train station. Once the train arrives at the train station, the Mane Five, Kiara, and the Lion Guard all exit the train with their luggage in tow.
Normally, everyone would be excited about the upcoming joint leadership princess summit with King Simba, Queen Nala, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Princess Cadance all in attendance but because of recent events they’re not. Mainly, because of their dear friend Twilight Sparkle turning to follow in Scar’s paw prints after a series of events that led to her start of darkness.
This upcoming meeting was not only to discuss what’s usually said during the summit the princesses usually have, but also to discuss their new approach in regards to defeating Scar and his followers now residing and occupying Pride Rock.
On the bright side, Kiara’s friends were all very happy for her since this is her first princess summit.
“Hoo-wee! Your very first princess summit. You must be over the moon, Kiara.” Applejack said in excited support for her friend as she walks beside her. “Especially since this your first visit to the Crystal Empire ever.“
“Oh, I am excited.” Kiara didn’t hesitate to deny it but deep down expressed of why they’re really here. “But, to be honest, I just wish I had more reason to feel excited about all of this.”
And it was there everyone, understood why, not because of the fact that this is first big step into becoming a princess but also they have to figure out the best course of action in regards to defeating and redeeming Twilight Sparkle herself.
“Understandable.” Kyoga voiced knowing exactly what she is talking about.
“You're just 'nervicited'!” Pinkie exclaimed cheerfully still wanting to keep the upbeat tone of the conversation up as she jumped up and down into the air. “It's like you wanna jump up and down and yell "YAY ME!!" But you also wanna curl up in a teeny-tiny ball and hide at the same time!” She added as she curled into a ball then affectionaly patted Kiara’s head. ”We've all been there!”
“I'm there almost every day.” Fluttershy shyly added as she looked aside as she can relate to her concerns.
“You've got no reason to fret, Kiara.” Applejack reassured.
“Yeah, Everything's gonna be just–“ Beshte added before being cut off by Rarity as she exclaimed in alarm.
“KIARA! KION! Oh, sorry, darlings, but I just realized you're not wearing your crowns.” She said as she placed her hooves on both siblings cheeks and then tilted their heads and necks downwards as she looks at the tops of their heads before doing the same to her brother who’s been unusually quiet ever since what happened the last time they were in the Pride Lands. “Neither have you haven't forgotten it back in Ponyville, have you?”
“It's in our bag’s.” Kiara calmly replied as she directed her eyes at her creamy tan colored bag that matches her fur color with a reddish-brown colored image of a lion roaring on it to indicate it’s hers while Kion wordlessly eyes his gold and red colored bag. “Just haven’t felt like wearing it right now. I haven’t really even gotten accustomed to being a princess."
“Now, now, don’t be so silly.” Rarity insisted from thinking otherwise. “You are a princess now, Kiara. Embrace it!” She then quickly turned to Kion while ignoring the sadden look on her friends face. “You too Kion since you’re a prince too! I'm telling you both, if I had a crown like that, I would never take it off. Why, I'd sleep in the thing.”
“I’m sure you would.” Kion merely replied in response before walking forward still feeling downcast.
“Oh, dear.” Rarity said realizing she may have overdid it by her constant praise and talk about prince and princesses since it heavily reminds him of the pony he used to see as his best friend. “Now darling, my apologies. I didn’t mean to let my overexcitement get carried away there. It’s just something worth taking some pride in.” She apologized while trying to walk beside him.
“I know, Rarity.” Kion said still pressing forward and not looking at her. “There’s nothing you hadn’t said before.”
Rarity not taking his disinterest in wanting to talk insisted on trying to make him feel better by quickly stopping him in his tracks with a raised hoof on his chest. “Listen…” She began with a solemn and understanding expression of the great pain he is feeling. “I know that things haven’t been the same since Twilight turned to Scar and helped him take over the Pride Lands. Our lives and our friendship were never the same since that fateful day and we all have to deal with the fact that what happened back at the wedding was a driving factor in her decision to turn on us.” The Lion and Pony Guard all shared forlorn looks of regret and sorrow for what happened back then. “But I can assure with all of my generosity that we will get her back someway somehow.” She said with a smile before giving him a much needed hug. “Just try to be optimistic and be happy for everyone and everypony’s sake. Okay?”
Kion had to look at the others in the eyes who all returned smiles that scream “Please, Kion? Like Fuli, Fluttershy, and Beshte and confident expressions that scream. “We’ll get her back, Kion.” Like Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Kyoga, Bunga, and Ono.
“Okay.” Kion replied with the urge to smile for her sake before they both walked forward to the Crystal Castle together with the unicorn wrapping her hoof around the lion cub every step of the way there.
The royal siblings, along with Spike and the rest of the Guard all make their way inside so they can put their luggage away in their own rooms before making their way to the castle throne room to where Kion and Kiara are greeted by a fanfare of Crystal Ponies blowing into their trumpets as they both walk down the hallways to greet the other Princesses on the other side of the room.
Once they reached the end of the line of guards ponies. One of the guards who had an orange coat, short blue mane with matching blue eyes spoke up to address everypony in the room.
“Her highnesses, Prince Kion and Princess Kiara!” The guard announced just when the other princesses along with the lion king and queen move in to greet them.
“Kion! Kiara! So glad that you both could make it! We have so much to discuss.” Cadance was the first to happily greet them with open hooves.
“Indeed.” Princess Celestia agreed before dismissing them since it’s late in the evening. “But it can wait until tomorrow. You all look tired from your journey. Now, off to bed, all of you.”
Everyone all complied with her orders with excited chattering with only Kion lagging behind still not in the mood to talk with them.
“Kion?” His father called out to him to stop him before he could leave. Kion reluctantly obliged and turned around to see his parents along with Cadance offering paws, hooves, and wings for an open embrace. “Come here.”
Kion quickly ran over with tears in his eyes and leaped into his father arms with both Nala and Cadance joining in. The emotional wounds from Twilight’s betrayal and later death threat are still are raw in the poor cub’s mind. “I miss her, Dad.”
“I know, Kion.”
“So do we.”
Both Simba and Cadance heavily sighed while warmly embracing him.
Later that night, Kion and Bunga both sharing a room together, unpack their belongings as they prepare to get some sleep in preparation for tomorrow’s summit. As Kion places her books in the drawer below the mirror he then pulls out his crown. The crown itself was a golden headpiece similar to Celestia’s with red and orange jewels on top of them that gave a shimmery spark. He placed and places it on his head briefly as she looks at herself in the mirror then sighs.
“What's wrong, Kion?” His best friend asked while fluffing his pillow before turning to his back. “Other than of course, you know who.”
“I don't know, Spike. I'm just...worried.” Kion answered unsure of himself as he turned to face him.
“Uh…” Bunga wondered feeling confused. “…other than saving our friend?”
“No!“ Kion shook his head. “I mean it was only like a year ago when we formed the Lion and Pony Guard together. Before then, I had no idea what my destiny would be. I mean Princess Cadance was given the Crystal Empire to rule over. Kiara, is destined to inherit the Pride Lands alongside whomever she decides she wants to marry when she gets older.”
“Well, the one lion I’m seeing she has a special eye on is that former Outsider, Kovu, who kinda has that dark look to his fur and mane similar to...” Bunga replied before realizing what he is about to say. “…um…similar to….Princess Luna. Yeah, good pony, and heavenly cool blue shades of color, like my fur…” He looked and briefly brushed his blue fur. “…that is of course when you’re not getting on her bad side.” He chuckled remembering the time she kicked him for getting to close to her flank just after defeating her super powered evil side.
“Well like the two sisters, my parents currently rule over the Pride Lands…” Kion continued. “…but from the looks of tradition, that’ll leave me with no way of knowing what my future will be when I’m no longer leader of the Lion Guard.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean what will be my new destiny in life when the time comes that I have to step down from leading the Lion Guard? What will I do since all I’ll be is just a prince who can’t inherit the throne in the Pride Lands?”
“Um…” Bunga hesitated to think of a good reply. “…I honestly do not know. Come to think of it that’s a very good question. But surely we all know you won’t turn out like Scar right?” He laughed a little before stopping seeing that this isn’t cheering him up due to what he said. “Oops, too soon.”
“I know that’ll never happen no matter what.” Kion acknowledged before pressing forward with his internal struggle. “But, I’m still worried of what I will do with my life when that time comes. I mean what if I never find my true calling in life.”
“Aw, sure ya will, Kion.” Bunga reassured with a wave of his right hand before making his way to his bed so he can go to sleep. “Now c'mon, you should get some sleep. Big day tomorrow! New plans! New strategy! And a bright new future for both worlds going forward!“
“We sure do.” Kion remarked with a small smile before proceeding to place his crown on his bedside before moving to rest in his comfortable bed.
A scene that was observed under the watchful eyes of the fallen alicorn herself, who senses a strong and powerful surge of magic inside Kion’s crown…
…at the same time, another mysterious hooded figure wearing a black cloak makes way through a magical portal from another hidden room inside the Crystal Castle.

Later that night, as one of the guards is patrolling through the nearby hallway, a mysterious hooded figure crept through the castle waiting for the guard to walk off to another hallway before making her way to Kiara’s room. With some quiet and sneaky stealthy tiptoeing, she was able to obtain her crown placed on her night stand with her magic with her horn emitting a turquoise colored aura while she does so. One that has pink jewels a little similar to Twilight’s crown. Once she had it and secured it in her saddle-bag, she levitated a replica and placed it on her night stand in order to keep her from thinking it had been stolen for the time being.
She then made her way to Kion’s room where she do move to do the same, where despite nearly knocking over a lamp, she was able to repeat the same feat. But just when she was on her way to out of the room undetected, Bunga when he was asleep, rolled over and accidentally tripped her up. Along with accidentally releasing gas in her face leaving the mare to cough briefly as a result. She then quickly dashing out of the room knowing that her cover has now been blown since it woke both Kion and Bunga up.
“Huh, what?” Kion said as he woke up before spotting the mare running off with his and Kiara’s crowns. “My crown! Kiara’s crown! She's got our crowns!” He shouted before giving her chase while waking up his friends in the process. “Lion Guard! Pony Guard! Stop Her! She's stolen our crowns!”
The mare was able to run off ahead and away from Kion, before being suddenly intercepted by Twilight who teleported right in front of her in an attempt to cut off her escape.
“Stop!” She ordered of the thief to no avail as she simply teleports past her and continues running off ahead while leaving her cloak behind right in front of the mare’s face.
Twilight quickly removed the cloak from her face before flying off after the mare, a unicorn with yellow coat and a yellow and red mane and tail, teal colored eyes, with a yellow and red colored sun cutie mark on her flank, similar to Kion’s fur and mane colors.
Sunset just after turning the nearby corner smiled confidently thinking she has given both Kion and Twilight the slip only to see that the distraction gave her, Kion along with the rest of the Lion and Pony Guard time to catch up.
Of course as always, everyone was surprised to see that she is actually helping them try to chase down to Sunset, yet they all had to focus on ensuring that she doesn’t get away that they didn’t have time to question her along with whatever motives she has for doing this.
Fuli used her super speed to sprint up and cut right in front of the mare which tripped her up in her running allowing both Kion and Twilight to tackle her down to the ground just when they end up barging into the room the unicorn was heading into. But during the successful tackle, both crowns fell out of her saddle-bag and bounced all around the room before going through a mirror which acted as some kind of portal to another world.
All six ponies along with the six Lion Guard members all gasped at what just happened. All except for the smirking mare gasp along with the dark lavender coated mare narrowing her eyes at her.
“What did you do with our crowns?” Kion demanded of the thieving mare.
She simply and smugly smiled in response. “Sorry it had to be this way...” She said with mock remorse before teleporting to in front of the mirror. “ …Prince and Princess.” She added as she took her leave and disappeared through the portal with Twilight quick to follow after her.
“Not on my watch!” She declared before entering the portal a few seconds just after the unicorn went through the portal leaving Kion and the others to gasp again at what had just happened and who that villainous unicorn was.
“Who was that?” Fluttershy asked everypony. “Was one of those ponies, Twilight?”
“It was.” Kion replied while looking in the mirror portal’s direction. “But in regards to that pony we were all chasing I don’t know who that was. But I’m sure Princess Celestia might along with that mirror they both just when through.”
Both Ono and Bunga’s curiosity stirred with the sight in front of them. With a daring temptation the two both placed a claw and beak onto the mirror, and both ended up reacting in surprise when they both found themselves phasing through it before quickly retracting them.
“Hapana!”
“Whoa!”
Both Ono and Bunga expressed shock before wisely backing away from it.
“Poa! What is that?”
“It looks like some kind of portal leading to another world to where both Twilight and this unicorn both went through.” Kyoga analyzed while approaching and taking a close look at it but without touching it. “And whoever that unicorn was sure knows how to perform magic on par with Twilight.”
“No kidding.” Kion said in agreement just when all of the royals all came inside the room having been awaken by the commotion.
“Kion, what happened!”
“What’s going on!”
“We heard screaming and yelling!”
“What happened to my crown?!”
“Is that the magical mirror?!”
“Whoa, whoa!” Bunga quickly waved his arms around. “One at a time, ladies and gentlemen.” All five monarchs glared at him in response. “Your highness's.” He added with an apologetic bow and then nervously chuckled before slowly backing away from them upon realizing that his mistake in his approach to them. “What I mean to say is, we chased down a unicorn that had a yellow coat and a yellow and red mane kinda matches Kion’s fur and mane, into this room before she managed to escape through this here magic mirror portal along with both Kion and Kiara’s crowns in tow. Oh and Twilight was here and went after her.” He quickly added before he could forget.
“I see.” Princess Celestia solemnly said as she looked at the mirror.
“Do you have any idea who that unicorn we were chasing was?” Kion asked Celestia upon seeing that the mention and description hits close to home for her.
“I do.” Princess Celestia answered before explaining. “That unicorn you saw was Sunset Shimmer. A former student of mine. She began her studies with me not long before Twilight. But when she did not get what she wanted as quickly as she liked, she turned cruel and dishonest. I tried to help her, but she eventually decided to abandon her studies and pursue her own path. One that has sadly led to her stealing your and your sister’s crowns.”
“She replaced Kion’s with this one.” Spike said as he held up the fake crown Sunset left behind.
“Along with this in place of mine.” Kiara added holding up the fake tiara she found beside her bed to which Celestia leaned down so she get a better look at them with narrowed eyes.
“I suppose Sunset Shimmer thought you wouldn't notice right away that this was not yours. And by the time you did, it would be too late to go after your crowns.” Celestia deduced.
“But I don't understand. Where did she go? Where did she take the crowns? What kind of mirror was that?” Kion asked still very confused of what had just happened.
“You'll soon know more about this place than even I do.” She said as she turned her attention back at the mirror.
“You mean this leads to some kind of place in another world?” Ono asked while Kyoga rolled her eyes feeling she just clarified that just a minute ago.
“Yes, for you see, this is no ordinary mirror. It is a gateway to another world. A gateway that opens once every thirty moons.” Luna explained as she approached the mirror herself.
“Sparkly!” Pinkie commented with the sudden need to touch the mirror to which Luna responded by levitating her in annoyance while rolling her eyes before continuing.
“It has always been kept in the throne room of Canterlot Castle. But when Princess Cadance took over the Crystal Empire, we sent it here for her to watch over.” Luna further explained as Celestia walks up with a sigh.
“I had always hoped that Sunset Shimmer would someday use it to return, to come back to Equestria seeking my guidance. Obviously, this is not what has happened.” Celestia said with grimness in her tone of voice and closed eyes with the pain of two pupils turning evil. ”Nor what I expected shortly after Twilight became an alicorn.”
“Oh, uh, not trying to bring this up at a bad time but I forgot to mention the part where Twilight was here to give her a chase and went after her through this mirror portal.” Bunga brought up with a forced smile.
“Yes, you actually did mention that little detail, Bunga.” Simba remarked feeling while a bad time to even be mentioning her but useful to know that she is there as well. “But, it is admittedly useful knowing that someone is after her.”
“But since Twilight is now on Scar’s side, we now need to ensure that we are prepared for the day they both come here to try to take over all of Equestria.” Celestia brought up.
“But why?” Bunga couldn’t help but ask. “He already defeated us back in the Outlands.”
“All of the Pride Lands are under his control.” Rainbow added.
“And he even has all of the meat from the helpless animals he can have for himself.” Fluttershy added while struggling not to cry at the very thought to which Rarity and Fuli were quick to place their hooves and paws on her for comfort.
“He does…” The majestic lion with the large red mane acknowledged. “…but since he knows about Equestria and has access to dark magic and knowing that we are all still alive and well standing in a kingdom that could pose a threat to his reign, he won’t stop until he ensures that he keeps his control over the Pride Lands even if that means resorting to conquering more opposing kingdoms along the way.”
“Or massacring one.” Kyoga added knowing full well that Scar is ruthless and unstoppable in the face of danger and towards obstacles to his goals.
“Enough said…” Celestia then continued with more focus on the lion cub’s crowns with full focus on the leader of the Lion Guard while recalling a time she and Luna were speaking with Mufusa’s spirit in the Pride Lands shortly after Nightmare Moon’s defeat where the alicorns along with the past lion’s spirits were able to use a combined power of magic and roaring to send a surge of power into two crowns that would be destined to be Kion and Twilight’s. “When you formed the Lion and Pony Guard with Twilight, I placed some of mine and Luna’s magic from the elements into those new crowns with the hopes along with consulting with the Lions of the Past to work out a new spell that you would both be able to access both the elements and the Roar whenever you couldn’t get to the actual elements themselves and should Kion be unable to use the Roar himself.”
“Huh?” Ono was left feeling lost and annoyed now. “And for some reason this never got mentioned until now?”
“Because it was only for extremely dire circumstances should they end up getting destroyed since both crowns both contain an extremely dangerous source of power that only true masters of its magic can handle.” She explained.
“A master of magic like Kion?” Fuli asked.
“And Twilight?” Bunga again mentioned. “Even if she is a master of dark magic.” He nervously added while pleading not to harshly glared at again for mentioning her.
“Yes, even her.” Celestia said with a pained sigh.
“Okay so let me ask you this and forgive me for being so What the hay here…” Ono said before briefly going off feeling irritated by being kept in the dark with this information in light. “…but if these crowns are so powerful and dangerous to the point they are to be used for extreme emergencies only then why give them to both Kion and Kiara in the first place?!”
“Because I wanted them to be secure in the right hoofs paws should Twilight come around to try to steal them and ensure that she can’t use its power against us…” Celestia answered with shame and regret. “…but I never foresaw that Sunset Shimmer would return and steal them herself.”
“And with that said, someone needs to use the mirror to go into this other world and retrieve those crowns. Without them, the other Elements of Harmony along with the Roar have no power and Equestria is left without one of its most important means of defense.” Cadance informed everyone of what must be done before turning to Kion. “And that someone is you Kion.”
“Me?”
“You and your sister’s crowns do not belong in the place Sunset Shimmer now calls home. And in her possession, Twilight’s Element of Harmony along with the power of your Roar will no doubt be used to bring harm to the inhabitants of this other realm. They will not have the power to defend themselves.” Luna further warned of what’s at stake if the crown’s power before levitating Kion’s saddlebag onto his back.
“You understand the importance of your task?” His father asked of him as he approaches him.
“Of course.” Kion acknowledged as he turned to face him.
“Good. Then you must go at once.” The king told his son who stepped forward towards the portal with a calm sigh before being cut off by Rainbow Dash flying in front of her blocking her path surprising him and the other Princesses.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa! She's going, we're going with her.” Rainbow Dash firmly said as she turned to face the others girls along with the rest of the Lion Guard. “Right, girls and guys?”
Kion’s friends all nodded in agreement ready to join him.
“Oooh! I'm so 'nervicited'!” Pinkie cheerfully exclaimed.
“You do realize that's not a real word, right?” Applejack felt the need to point out as she briefly glanced at Pinkie as Kion feels touched by her friend’s support.
“Shall we do this?” Bunga excitably asked his friend.
Before he could answer Celestia quickly intervened “I'm afraid I can't let you go.” She firmly spoke against the idea.
“What?! Why not?!” Both Rainbow and Bunga questioned in unison.
“Sending all of you could upset the balance of this alternate world, creating havoc that would make it impossible for Kion to get the crown back from Sunset Shimmer. This is something that he must do alone.” Princess Celestia explained still firm with her voice in the matter.
“But…” Bunga tried to speak before quickly shutting up to avoid being glared at again. “Never mind, shutting up.” He added motioning gestures to himself before doing so for good.
“Time is of the essence. On the third day, when the moon reaches its peak in the night sky, the gateway will close. And once it does, it will be another thirty moons before you will be able to use it to return.” Princess Luna seriously instructed of Kion as she briefly used her magic to show the rising crest moon turning into a new moon.
“I’ll be fine.” Kion quickly assured before embracing his parents.
“Just please be careful and promise us you’ll be safe.” Nala implored of her while trying to stay strong.
“I will.” He vowed before making his way towards the mirror as her friends give her encouraging support while Bunga and Spike look on nervously.
He taps a paw into the mirror leaving him briefly taken aback a little as he looks back at both Simba and Celestia who both nod at him to go forward, before he proceeds to do so
Spike and Bunga both bit their nails before acting on impulse at the last second unable to resist leaving the unicorn turned alicorn and lion cub they have been by their side since day one behind before running after Kion in a mad dash for the portal.
“Bunga…!”
"Spike…!”
”NO!” The remaining Lion and Pony Guard Mane Five exclaimed in their direction as they run towards the portal.
But it was too late, they have both committed to helping the leader of the Lion Guard no matter what even if they have to face both Twilight and Sunset at the same time in a world they have little to no knowledge of.
“Hapana!” Ono exclaimed in exasperation at their rash decision. “What the hay are they thinking.”
“Apparently, friendly love makes you do crazy things.” Kyoga remarked in reply.
“Uh-huh.” Cadance nodded having seen and been there before while turning her head towards the portal with the silent hope praying that they all make it back in time with the items in tow before it’s too late and they all are left at Scar’s mercy.
Inside the magical vortex, the three all scream as they are sucked into the new world before they finally emerge just outside of the portal from the other end with something new and unexpected surprises coming their way…
Kion groaned as he slowly opened his eyes going through the new world adjustments that have been placed on them.
“Uh, Kion?” Spike asked him.
“Huh? Spike!” He then sees Bunga too, at least his head which appeared really differently from what he’s usually used to seeing. “Bunga! You're not supposed to–?” Twilight was about to question them before seeing that Spike has the appearance of a dog that had the same purple colored fur coat, indigo colored collar, light green colored ears, and the small tuft of green hair that matches his dragon scales. “Are you a... dog?”
“I... think so.” Spike replied as he likewise looks at himself before looking at Kion. “But I have no idea what you are! Or you, Bunga” He added just when the two see that their paws are now hands.
“What?” Kion said in confusion before moving his fingers around while looking at the changes that happened to them. “Hevi Kabisa! What is this?!”
“I don’t know!” Bunga replied while looking at his body too and finding that he has light blue skin similar to his fur coat back at home along with the same slicked back yet messy white-colored hair, yet is able to stand on two feet and can wiggle his fingers.
He was also wearing clothes too, a naval blue T-shirt with matching dark blue short sleeves, matching colored gym shorts with white stripes on the side much like the sleeves, and matching sneakers with white socks.
“But this is so weird and so cool at the same time.” Bunga voiced already liking these changes while his partner is still trying understand what happened to him.
Kion like his friend had gold yellow skin, a yellow short sleeved T-shirt with red stripes on the shoulders and center of the shirt, khaki shorts, had a tuft of red hair on the center of his head slicked back similar back home.
“How are you feeling Kion?” Spike asked of him. “Doing okay?”
“Yeah…” Kion said still at a loss for words while slightly tugging his shirt and briefly grabbing his shorts. “I just wish I knew more of what happened to us and where did these clothes came from.”
“Me too.” Bunga understood completely of his friend’s confusion. “But since we’re here and on a mission, I’d say worry about it later. For now, let’s set out and find those crowns and get back here before that moon is no longer full.”
“I agree.” Spike for once spoke up in support but had some of Kion’s thoughts in mind. “But where are we?” He asked as they looked around their surroundings.
“I don't know. But that must serve as the gateway back to Equestria.” Kion answered as he placed his hand through the portal which briefly transformed back into a paw with sharp claws before pulling it back out. “We need to find my and Kiara’s crowns as soon as possible and get back there. I suggest we start searching here.” Kion said with determination before looking at the tall building in front them that strongly resembles a high school building.
“Works for me.” Spike agreed while Bunga lines up beside them.
“Let’s.” Bunga stated ready to start investigating and searching for stolen artifacts.
Both Kion and Bunga both headed towards the building walking on four’s which is a lot more awkward as humans until Spike got both of them to snap to attention when they see another human walking a dog staring at them.
“Yeah, I don't think that's how the new you is supposed to–“ Spike spoke up as the two immediately both got on their feet looking aside very embarrassed.
“Oops.” Bunga remarked now feeling very foolish.
“Uh, hey!” Kion waved at the man with a forced smile. “Everything’s fine, really!”
“Yeah! We were just rehearsing a scene in an upcoming movie where one of our friends does something exactly like this.” Bunga backed him up with this quick lie along with scratching the back of his head. "While I admit it's a work in progress, it's going to get better, really!"
The man just shrugged before moving forward while frowning at his happily panting dog when he found it entertaining and thought it would fun for him to do. The dog whimpered before obeying his master’s silent demand to move forward.
So since they walk on two legs as opposed to four legs, both Kion and Bunga made their way towards the building.
While Bunga having experience with walking on two legs before was able to make it there no problem like it was just a stroll through the Outlands on his most daring days. Kion on the other hand, had to make small steps on his way over feeling very careful in trying to maintain his balance.
“The sooner we find those crowns the sooner we can get out of here.” Kion said as he slowly made his way up the stairs.
“Exactly! Like I said!” Bunga stated feeling proud that he hasn’t said anything to sour the mood so far before turning their attention to the entrance to the building in front of them.
“Hmm!“ Bunga examined the door in question before trying to pull the door open. “Come on!” He strained and struggled to make it budge. “Open!”
Kion stepped forward to get a quick look before moving to push the door open, which ended up resulting in Bunga stumbling and falling face first onto the floor inside.
“There we go! Nothing to it!” Bunga proudly declared before brushing the dust off and then moved walk on ahead leaving his eye-rolling friends following after him.
“Nothing other than a head that’s clearly screwed on backwards.” Spike remarked in a snarky way.
“Oh, Spike.” Kion lightly chuckled before moving to catch up with their friend as they make their way through the building.
There they all see banners hanging from the walls and upstairs’ floors, with a hallway of lockers, and a glass case filled with trophies and pictures. A sight that had both Kion and Bunga both feeling this a big breath-taker since they have never seen anything like it.
“Whoa!”
“Hevi Kabisa! What is this place?”
“I don’t know.” Spike replied while being on the lookout for anything shiny and shimmery before spotting some gold trophies in a nearby enclosed glass case. “But I’m sure we’re not going to find the crowns here.” He added while looking at the nearby trophy cases showcasing many athletic achievements accomplished in this building.
“No.” Kion noted while taking a look at what Spike is seeing. “She must have managed to already obtain them when she got here.”
“Unless they somehow got intercepted by Twilight.” Bunga brought up. “Or of course somebody else.” He quickly added when he realized who he just mentioned. “Whoa.” He then gasped once he got a good look at his human self in from the reflection the glass produced. “Un-Bunga-veilable!”
Kion on the other hand was still very puzzled with his new appearance even after getting a good look at himself through the mirror. But before he could voice his thoughts on the matter the bell rings with multiple people walking outside from the multiple rooms they were in.
“Take cover!” Bunga shouted before quickly diving to the floor.
Kion on the other hand quickly picked Spike up to protect him from getting stepped on but ended up bumping into someone by accident and ended up falling down to the ground.
Bunga having already dived like Makuu and crocodile float did when they were nearly run over by Beshte’s family and friends already leaped down to the floor started crawling his way across the main hallway through the mass crowd.
The three were able to manage to retreat to a nearby open hallway where they would all be able to stand up properly.
“Phew! Talk about a stampede!” Bunga commented while treating it like it was nothing.
“Easy for you to say.” Spike remarked back finding his pride bordering on arrogance at times.
Kion moved to get up and walk around before accidentally bumping into a teenage girl causing her to drop her books by accident.
Said girl had a dark brown skin with matching brown eyes, wore a business-like and formal outfit. Said outfit consisted of a light brown sleeved dress shirt, a dark brown dress jacket with a matching pencil skirt, and wore matching dark brown slippers. Even by knowing little of her, she clearly has class and manners that her feel more eloquent than other students here.
“Hey!”
“Oh, I’m so sorry.” Kion quickly moved to help pick up some of her books at the same time the girl herself picks up half of them before presenting them to her. “Here you go.”
The girl glared at him before snatching them away. “Thank you. Now please leave me alone.”
She then stormed off leaving Kion taken aback by what had just happened.
“Geez, What the heck was that all about?” Spike questioned her condescending and rude attitude.
“Yeah, all he did was accidentally bump into her.” Bunga added.
“I don’t know.” Kion replied after shaking it off before gaining a new mindset not finding it’s worth pursing and wasting time over. “But I’m not going to worry about that right now because we got two crowns to find and three days tops to do so.” He walked off ahead to continue his search while his two friends both follow after him.
The three then walked through the hallway in their search for the crowns. As they were walking Kion briefly lost his balance before managing to regain his ground. Once he managed to correct his footing he proceeded to move forward.

It's the hand that I was dealt
But I don't have much time with them
Got to learn all that I can.”
Kion sang as he walked around the hallways.
As they looked around they saw the amazing differences of how humans do things in this world compared to their world as they one person playing hacky sack using his feet with his girlfriend watching, another male performing some acting scene while holding his book as two girls applaud his performance, and another couple walking together hand in hand.
Yet one thing they all have in common is that they all look and act similar to the pony counterparts they met in the world of Equestria.
All the while, Kion is the most interested of the trio and intrigued by all of this as she peers at a school teacher using her hands to lift up a book while writing on the chalkboard instead of using magic from their horns or using their mouths before turning to look at the clothes on his body before pressing forward.
“They don't use any magic or fly with any wings
I don't get these funny clothes, skinny legs or tiny nose
Everything's confusing when it seems so new
But I look a little closer and it starts to feel familiar too.”
Kion continued to sing as he walked around the hallways.
As they walked forward a human version of Scootaloo nearly ran into them while riding her scooter to which Spike quickly jumped into Bunga’s arms to avoid getting struck down, who likewise leaped into Kion’s arms leading to the boy and fall on his back from the force of the impact. Luckily she was able to dodge them with a little breaking before she moved forward and ahead with the human versions of Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle running after her. The three look at each in confusion of what they had just seen.
“Is it me or did that look like the Cutie Mark Crusaders expect like us right now?” Bunga questioned with a thumb pointed backwards in the giggling trio’s direction as they all ran down the hallway together.
“Looks like it.” Spike answered finding the discovery just as surprising to him as well.
Suddenly, Bunga got an uncomfortable urge in his lower region along with a growling tummy. “Oh, boy, I don’t what magic we went through but whatever it is, it’s now got me having an emergency.” He added while grabbing on his crotch before rushing off ahead in search for a bathroom.
He quickly managed to find one before managing to quickly relief himself in one of the stalls releasing a huge fart while he does so causing some of the girls in there to shriek as they all scream covering their noses in disgust.
“Oooh! Yeah!” Bunga happily said before flushing the toilet and pulled his shorts back up.
He then moved walk out of the stall, sanitized his hands, and walked out of the room wondering what was all the commotion about, until he ended up seeing the women he unintentionally had running out of the bathroom shooting furious glares at him while cringing their noises.
“Huh?” Bunga turned around to see the door to the bathroom he walked into. One that had a sign depicting a girl wearing a dress on it. “Oops.” He nervously smiled before quickly sprinting away before they could gang up on him. “Sorry!”

Kion sang as the trio watched everybody walking through the halls before they pressed forward down the hallway.

While they were all walking down together they suddenly heard a familiar voice from the corner.
“Oh, I'm really sorry. I-I just found it, and-and I thought I should give it to her. I didn't know you had dropped it.” Fluttershy’s voice spoke to someone just as timidly as pony Fluttershy.
“Fluttershy.” Kion gasped upon recognizing her voice.
The trio peered through the nearby corner to where they see Fluttershy’s human counterpart, who has yellow skin and pink hair, with a white tank top, green skirt, and green and pink knee length boots and socks talking to a girl confronting her. Said girl had on a black leather jacket, purple shirt, orange skirt with yellow and purple streaks on the side, and black knee length boots with purple streaks on them, and red and yellow hair similar to Sunset Shimmer's. Both girls also had long hair that stretched to the back of their waistlines.
Kion then narrowed his eyes upon recognizing the girl harassing Fluttershy here. “And Sunset Shimmer.”
“Well, I did! And I was about to get it before you swooped in and ruined everything! You shouldn't pick up things that don't belong to you.” Sunset harshly reprimanded.
“It... doesn't really belong to you, either.” Human Fluttershy softly retorted in a hushed tone while moving the loose strains of hair out of her face.
“Excuse me?!” Sunset yelled in her face as she slams her hands onto the locker she was backed up against.
“N-n-nothing...” Human Fluttershy stammered as she cowered onto the ground sparking the trio’s anger at her treating Fluttershy like that.
Both Kion and Spike even growled in response to the girl’s bullying of her.
“That's what I thought. It's as good as mine, and you know it. You really are pathetic. It's no wonder your best friends are all stray animals.” She further taunted rather smugly with a pointed finger in her face.
Kion was very furious seeing this to the point he couldn’t stand by and let this happen anymore and appeared from the corner he and his friends were hiding behind.
“Hey!” Kion fiercely shouted after having seen enough of her ill treatment of an innocent girl. “That’s no way to speak to someone!”
“What did you say?!” Sunset angrily questioned the pre-teen while turning to face him.
“You heard him!” Bunga backed him up while joining his friend in approaching and facing off against the girl glaring down at each other. “Leave her alone, you mean red head!”
The students witnessing this quickly scooted away and fled the scene ducking the nearby corners and lockers just when the three get face to face just inches apart from each other.
Sunset’s initial reaction of fury turned into a smug smirk while literally looking down at the two since they are around five feet tall with Kion having a few inches on his friend while she herself on the other hand has six to eight inches over the both of them.
“You must be new here.” Sunset told them as she effortlessly picked them both up each by the shirts.
“Hey!”
“Let go!”
The two struggled while trying to free themselves to no avail. This girl is strong and impressively so on Twilight’s level.
“I can speak to anyone any way I want.” Sunset added while quickly eyeing one of the nearby witnesses who immediately retreated to inside a nearby open locker before turning back to her newest victims ready to give them a beating by slammed the duo's head's against the back of the lockers right next to Fluttershy. “I can even take down those who dare get in my way. Even brave tough guys from their schools.”
“Oh, boy.” Spike cringed while half-watching the scene with one eye, preparing himself to partially watch a potential painful beating the two about to face.
But before that could happen the four all heard another voice speak to Sunset, Kion, and Bunga and it was a very familiar voice too. “Hey! How dare you treat them that way!” The four all turn their heads towards the one addressing Sunset.
“Twilight?” The three all said in unison trying to understand what is really happening here.
The girl herself had the same long black hair with pink streaks in them, still sporting the horizontal pink gash over her left eye. She was also sporting a black leather jacket with a few dark purple streaks on the shoulders, a purple short sleeved shirt with a black bow tie, a purple pleated skirt with her pink star cutie mark on it, along with pink knee length socks and black boots.
"What did you say?!" Sunset angrily demanded.
“I said how dare you treat them that way and let them go!” Twilight demanded of them while slowly approaching her.
“Or what, tough girl?” Sunset questioned and dared the girl trying to call her bluff with every passing and advancing step she takes getting to them. “You’ll make me?” She smirked while hoisting both boys with one hand so she can prop her free hand on her side. "Hey! Let go of my arm! Ow, ow, hey...!"
Twilight didn’t say anything but quickly made good on her warning by swiftly twisting her open arm to force her to let them go. Both Kion and Bunga dropped to the ground and joined Fluttershy on the ground along with the terrified students watching with astonished expressions when she moves to push Sunset into the ground to pin her down.
“Ugh! Let go!” Sunset groaned and demanded in pain.
“No problem.” Twilight obliged but not before looking at the girl closely in the eyes to level with her this icy-cold tone threat. “Consider me letting you off with a warning should I ever catch you harassing these three again. That clear? Good.”
“Hmmph!” Sunset relented with a huff before moving to walk away with her head up high and casually brushed the dust off of her jacket before shooting dirty looks at the nearby students that dare to get any ideas just because she is facing a tougher girl that can actually back herself up.
They all move to quick either drop their heads to their books, retreat to nearby lockers again, and looked aside pretending that never happened while turning the corner. All while her new rival watches on with a fearless look until she left.
After Sunset had left, Twilight turned back to Kion, Bunga, and Fluttershy while approaching towards them with her sights on Fluttershy.
The frightened girl already intimidated by her appearance was left having her back up against the corner unsure of what she was going to do to her now feeling her life is still in danger.
Kion quickly got up and got in between the two in a protective stance quick to think she’s going to harm her. “Not a step closer!” He warned.
Twilight ignored his warning while gently pushing him aside before turning her attention back to approach the whimpering and shaking Fluttershy who is feeling terrified and begging for mercy.
“What are you going to do to me?”
Twilight said nothing in response before offering her hand to help her up while kneeling down to her eye level. “It’s okay.” She gently and sincerely assured with a smile. “She’s gone and you’re safe.” Fluttershy was still scared inside feeling that’s just a ploy to trick her into further humiliation and Spike, Kion and Bunga all understood what she was feeling right now. “Go ahead.” She urged her to take her hand so she can help her on her feet. “I’m not going to hurt you.”
It took a good second for her to decide, but remembering that she did come to her defense and felt sure she wasn’t trying to trick her, she moved to take her hand so she can get up. “Now…” She then said while placing a hand on her shoulder. “…Are you okay?”
“Yes.” She admitted yet astonished with what she just did while the others are still both on guard and wary of her. “It’s just, I can't believe you did that!”
“I couldn't just stand there.” Twilight simply replied with a shrug.
“Well, it's just that nobody ever stands up to Sunset Shimmer.” Fluttershy explained.
“Is that so?” Twilight asked to which the girl nodded. “Well there’s a first time for everything.”
“True that.” Bunga spoke up knowing that is a truthful fact in life.
“You've heard of her?” Fluttershy referring to the girl she just stood up against a minute ago.
“Just recently...” Twilight truthfully replied.
“And boy is she a mean girl all right.” Bunga vouched more on Twilight’s behalf. “That’s all I can say right now.”
“And I don't think I've seen you or your friends around before.” She noted as she looked at her Kion, Bunga, and Spike who all exchange surprised and uncomfortable looks particularly in regards to Twilight since she doesn’t know what happened between them. “Did you all just transfer to Canterlot High from another school?”
“Yes we did.” Twilight smoothly answered as she turned to face and introduce herself. “My name's Twilight and this is Kion and Bunga.” She introduced while gesturing to the others.
“Hey!”
“Hi!”
The two greeted with Kion still feeling awkward of being around Twilight for reasons he can’t explain to her.
“I'm... Fluttershy.”The shy girl softly voiced.
“Sorry, what was that?” Kion asked again.
“It's Fluttershy!” Fluttershy repeated even quieter this time.
“It’s okay, Fluttershy.” Kion attempted to calm her nerves down. “There’s no reason to be afraid of us.”
During this, Fluttershy spots Spike the dog which sparked up a sudden energy burst inside of her. “Oh, my goodness!” Fluttershy affectionately ran up to him while nearly knocking Kion off of his balance. “Who's this sweet little guy?”
“That's Spike! My dog!” Twilight answered.
“Oh, he's so cute!” Human Fluttershy affectionately held Spike up by the muzzle and then offered him a dog treat. “Go on, eat up, little pup!”
Spike takes a small bite out of the treat as he tastes it. “Huh?” He spoke as he really enjoyed the treat then ate the rest of it whole.
Bunga took a keen interest on the dog treat Fluttershy had offered Spike while thinking if he can sneak a treat and get a sample of what it tastes like. But just before he could sneak over to her bag with an open jaw and drooling mouth, Kion quickly snapped him out of it.
“Bunga!” He chided while shaking his head against doing that.
“Oh, wouldn't ya just give anything to know what they're really thinking?” Fluttershy told the others.
“Depends on who you ask.” Twilight replied that it’s up there.
“Oh, w-what do you mean?” Fluttershy wondering what she meant by that as Spike barks like a dog thinking that the truth is going to be exposed right there.
“Just maybe if you put your heart and soul into reading their minds. That’s all.” Twilight answered otherwise before moving forward with what she needs from her. “Enough said and I’d hate get back to mentioning her but Sunset Shimmer said you picked something up. Something she claims that belonged to her.”
“It wasn’t a crown or two by chance was it.” Kion asked.
“How did you know?” Human Fluttershy asked looking surprised with how spot on they were.
“Uh, lucky guess?” Kion shrugged with a nervous chuckle. “And judging from what we heard you did something with them?”
“Mm-mm. “ Human Fluttershy nodded before remembering what happened back then just before school started. “This morning, I was passing out flyers for the animal shelter like I do every Wednesday.”
“That sure sounds something you would do.” Kion noted.
“It is.” Human Fluttershy said in response before continuing. “Only that no one else has the heart to even lift a finger up for them.” Human Fluttershy then sadly recalled the memory of her crying depressed when no one would help her until the crowns fly into her head to which she picks it up wondering what they are.
“Aww!” Bunga said with sympathy. “That’s too bad!”
“I know.” She sadly sighed upon thinking back at the memory and how rough she has it at times. “But I have no idea how they got there. But I didn't want anything to happen to them, so I decided to give it to Principal Celestia.” Human Fluttershy honestly explained while petting Spike on the head and then moving to do the same to Bunga much to his friend’s eye rolling dismay.
“Principal Celestia? As in, in charge of the school?” Twilight inquired.
“You could say that. Technically, I guess she and Vice Principal Luna do make the rules.” Human Fluttershy answered.
“Where is she now?” Twilight asked.
“Probably in her office.” Fluttershy answered before pointing out the directions. “Third door on your left.”
“Thank you!” Twilight kindly thanked and waved after her before running off ahead.
“Oh, wait!” Human Fluttershy called out to the others just before they turned the corner. “You're not really supposed to have pets on school grounds.” She informed while pointing to Spike. “Might wanna tuck him into your backpack. That's what I do.” Human Fluttershy added as she briefly showed them all of her animal companions in her backpack. “They just get so lonely when I'm in school all day.”
“Really? Aww!” Bunga gushed his eyes and face at them.
“That’s pretty sad.” Kion commented taking pity on them and her. A sweet animal lover like her can’t bare going a whole day without leaving them behind at home. He moved to place Spike into his red saddle-bag turned backpack. “But anyways, Thanks, Fluttershy!” He smiled in return for the advice.
The school bell suddenly rang signaling class is about to start. “Oh, no! I'm late for class!” She exclaimed quickly scooping up her animal companions before running off in the direction of her next class.
Just after Fluttershy runs off, Kion and Bunga run the opposite direction towards the principal’s office to where Twilight’s headed. They managed to catch up to her just when she was about to knock on the door.
“Twilight!” Kion called after her who turned to face them. “What are you doing?!” He questioned like he is demanding an answer and reason for defending them all just a few minutes ago.
“Um, about to meet up with Principal Celestia, so we can figure out how to retrieve those crowns she has.” Twilight nonchalantly replied.
“No, I mean just earlier with us and Fluttershy.” Kion corrected before moving to interrogate her. “Why did you defend us from Sunset Shimmer back there?! I thought you were against us!”
“Yeah!” Bunga stated with crossed arms.
“I am.” She calmly answered. “I’m still am.”
“But why?” Bunga asked for the motive behind it.
“Because what Sunset Shimmer is after goes up against my interests.” She explained.
“And that is?” Kion inquired while motioning his hands preferring to hear more details to go on about it.
“The crowns that she is after and is now here in this school.” She said while pulling out a white colored book from her black backpack and flipping it open to a specific page. “The crown of Magic and the crown of the Roar. Created by the combined magic of the alicorn’s magic along with the power of the Lions of the Past to install great power that’ll bestow the leaders of the Lion and Pony Guard the ability to channel the Roar and the Elements of Harmony together. With these crowns alone in the case where I can’t get to the elements or you can’t use your Roar in a time of need.”
“What?” Kion was surprised to hear and see that she already knows and the question in regards to how already answered when she showed him the contents of the book she had.
“Wait?” Spike quickly interrupted. “Isn’t that Celestia’s personal diary of her specially advanced spells and magic that only masters of alicorn magic are able to handle?”
“It is.”
“You stole the Princess’s diary!” Bunga gasped while dropping his jaws. “No way!” He acted like what she did was terrible before sporting an eager smile seeking to take a further look at it. “What else does it have?” Twilight grinned and chuckled before shutting the book right away. “Aww! But I want to see!”
“Maybe for another time.” She then dropped the smile before continuing to explain her reasons. “Anyways, should Sunset get her hands on them, she’ll discover and unleash a dangerously dark and powerful magic that she can’t control and will utterly consume her. She’ll cease to exist.”
“Really?”
“Oh. That wouldn’t be good.”
Both Bunga and Spike reacted feeling horrified at the thought.
Kion however was feeling very wary of whether they should trust her or not due to having strong feelings against the girl that nearly had her killed and made him cry in terror of her. ”And we should take your word for it why?!”
“Because with all feelings aside, there is no question that Sunset doesn’t understand the dangers of the power she is after. She doesn’t know how to yield it.” She answered seriously to assert she is telling the truth this time. “Both this world and our world would fall into chaos should she cross back through that portal.”
“Right.” Kion was still unconvinced with resentment targeted at the alicorn turned human. “You’re just saying that just so Scar can have control of our worlds back home and doesn’t even think about coming here.”
“No, I am telling the truth and this has nothing to do with him.” She asserted. “You know what both Celestia and Simba told you.”
“And how would you know that?” Kion argued still furious with her previous treachery. “By spying on them? On us? On top of stealing and reading the princess’s diary along with betraying and lying to her, to me, to all us, how do you expect me to believe a word you’re saying?!”
Likewise, Twilight wasn’t in the mood to argue with time and the fate of the multiple worlds in the essence here even when clearly hurt inside of the fact that Kion is refusing to hear her out due to his slightly blind anger taking over.
“I don’t.” She responded not trying anything to dissuade him. “Point being, we need to get those crowns before Sunset does.”
Without another word of heated tension between the two to which both Spike and Bunga had the misfortune of having to witness with uncomfortable glances towards each other.
Sure, she has been cruel, dishonest, sneaky, and manipulative lately, much like Sunset Shimmer before her, but everything she said about everything related to the situation on hand is completely accurate. Should Sunset obtain the crowns it could lead to a devastating catastrophe that could leave both not only this world but their world too.
“Kion…” Bunga tried to speak the fuming redhead.
“…maybe we should listen to her…” Spike added.
Kion simply growled at them both clearly balking at the idea which had them both wincing in fright of his temper before the red-headed boy turned back to the door to Celestia’s office. “Let’s just focus on getting the crowns back.”
“Come in.” Celestia called out to her visitors when Twilight knocked on the door. Both Twilight and Kion came inside with the latter suddenly having the urge to walk in with a bow. Twilight with a deadpan expression got him to stand up straight and to stop bowing.
“Really?” Twilight whispered still eyeing at him with that expression before turning his attention back to the principal when she addressed them.
“How may I help you?” She asked as she read from her folder without noticing the young boy’s entrance leaving him to slightly blush and feeling thankful that she didn’t see that.
“Oh, hi.” Kion quickly greeted feeling slight anxiety in addressing her. “Um, uh... Whew.” He stammered a little in his introduction to which Celestia did notice and gestured him to speak up. “My name's Kion. We're uh, new here.”
“And my name’s Twilight Sparkle.” The girl spoke up while getting straight to the point. “We’re here because it has come to our attention that Fluttershy found two crowns this morning and gave them to you.”
“Yes. I've had Vice Principal Luna put them somewhere for safekeeping.” Celestia stoically answered while standing up to place the folder in her filing cabinet. “No idea how they ended up in the front lawn. Were you two interested in running for Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal this year?” She asked with a smile.
“Uh, no. Not exactly. The truth is... Well, the truth is I... You see, the crown is actually...” Kion struggled to find the right words to her before speaking up at what she had asked. “Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal?“
“It's Canterlot High's big Fall dance.” She explained as she moved to write something on a calendar she had on the wall.
“Like the Grand Galloping Gala.” Kion asked with a confused expression.
“Uh, Grand Galloping Gala?” The principal asked confused likewise of what she meant by that while Twilight shakes her head at the boy’s rambling.
“Oh, uh, it was a big deal at my old school.” Kion quickly explained while awkwardly scratching the back of his head.
“And was there a prince and princess?”
“Yes, but they weren’t exactly students.” Kion half-truthfully answered.
“Smooth.” Twilight sarcastically whispered in his ear before eyeing the portraits of the previous three princesses of the Fall Formal. Or more accurately, the previous defending three time formal winner, Sunset Shimmer.
She observed them year by year. She saw that the first year she won the honor while wearing a white dress for her portrait, she looked enlightened and pleased that she earned her victory. It was like she experienced something that had her feel more humble and welcoming at first.
But throughout the following two years, time could tell that the honor of being treated like a princess went to her head. She went from sporting a simple tiara and a sincere smile to a more elaborate-decorated and gold crown with jewels, along with her sporting a more malicious and mean smirk turned into a maniac laugh relishing in her victory.
And had Twilight thinking what happened that led her to feeling this way and what created her rift with Princess Celestia.
“Here at Canterlot High, the students select one of their peers to represent them. He and she receive their crowns at the Fall Formal.” The principal further explained of how it works. “And since we are now having some students from another school over for a potential transfer here, we are trying out the tradition of having a prince crowned alongside with a princess starting this year. Should it work out then we’ll do for the years to come and said students will start learning here more.”
“New transfer students.” Kion asked to which Celestia nodded in response to confirm it. “Hmm.” Kion then thought to himself trying to figure out how to ask for their crowns back.
But before he could speak his question, Twilight spoke up and asked while they both walked out of her office. “You asked me if I was interested in running for Princess. Can anyone run?”
“Yes. You just need to let the head of the Fall Formal planning committee know you'd like to be on the ballot.” Human Celestia answered as she prepared to close the door. “Was there anything else?”
Kion was about to try again to tell her until Twilight placed a hand over his mouth. “Nope! That was it!” She answered feeling satisfied with what they have been told.
“Well, if you do need anything else, my door is always open.” Human Celestia warmly offered before gently closing the door behind her.
As soon as the two regroup with both Bunga and Spike, Kion wasted no time questioning Twilight for another explanation. “Any reason, you didn’t let me tell her the crowns were ours…and ask for it back?”
“I was but then when I thought about it I thought to myself, would she believe us if we told her we came from an alternate world where we walk on four legs and are really ponies and various animals from Equestria and Pride Lands?” She explained as she moved her arms and legs around. “People here will think we’re crazy."
Kion opened his mouth to come up with a counter-argument before realizing he can’t because of how true that assessment would be should they have actually tried it.
“Hmm. You make a good point.” Spike admitted.
“It looks like if we want our crowns back, we'll have to become Prince and Princess of the Canterlot High Fall Formal. So that's what we’re gonna do!” Twilight declared with determination.
“And how exactly do you plan on doing that?” Spike questioned.
“By finding the head of the Fall Formal planning committee to let he or she know we'd like to be on the ballot.” She answered with a confident smile.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Kion stopped her there while waving his arms. “What’s this "we" stuff?”
“We…” She started with emphasis on that word. “…are going to work together to run for Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal so we can get those crowns back.” Kion was about to protest once more but she wasn’t finished yet knowing of his objection’s to wanting to have to work with her friend turned enemy. “And regardless of whether you like it or not and I don’t expect you to nor understand my reasons but if we want to stop Sunset Shimmer and get those crowns back we’re going to have to work together. So therefore, until we get back home, I am proposing a temporary truce during our stay here.” She presented her hand for a handshake with Kion still skeptical feeling this is just a trap to double-cross one way or another.
“Kion…” Spike whispered to the boy for a quick word while placing a paw on him. “…as much as I hate saying this, but I think we should listen to her.”
“Why?!” He demanded of him still vehemently against working with their enemy while shaking the dog’s little paw making him nearly fall out before Bunga quickly caught him before he could fall over.
“Probably because she knows about the situation just as well as we do.” Spike answered.
“And not to mention should that happen, there wouldn’t be a Lion and Pony Guard anymore.” Bunga added. “And what about that talk about that there might be some good inside of Twilight.”
“That was before and after learning of what she’s been doing ever since she got scarred and decided to turn on us.” Kion bitterly replied with crossed arms.
“True, true…” Spike acknowledged as he shook his head. “But surely she didn’t really mean it deep down at the time and just needs to really to look into her heart a little more to find out how much she really means to us. Plus…” He added in a between you and me manner. “…the fate of our world and this world depends on it for the time being.”
“No question about that…” Twilight said to them having heard every word of their conversation with her hand still raised to cement their truce. “…so…” She asked. “…do we have a deal? I don’t pull any tricks on you in exchange for dropping your grudge for the time being in exchange for total cooperation during our stay here?”
Kion was still visibly hesitant to trust her for the feeling it’ll happen in an unexpected manner someway somehow but at the same time with the fate of both worlds at stake, they have no choice. They work very well together and have never faced a challenge where they didn’t fail at when paired up together. So Kion moved to shake her hand.
“Deal.”
With a firm handshake and a good understanding, the two have got themselves at an impasse with each other for now.
Just…when the school bell rings again to allow all students to walk through the hallways again with Twilight quickly taking Kion by the hand so they quickly get out of the way of traffic before getting run over. And before Kion was dragged off, he managed just enough time to grab Bunga’s wrist before they were all yanked off and away.

Later during the day when it was now lunchtime, Twilight and Kion spotted Fluttershy getting herself lunch at in the school cafeteria and quickly got in line to get food right next to her so they can strike up a conversation with her.
“Ooh! Meat!” Bunga excitably exclaimed drawing Fluttershy’s attention to the four behind her as he claims a couple hamburgers along with a couple of hot dogs.
Kion while nudging his friend in the arm for doing that in public, forces a smile to Fluttershy before saying. “Sorry you had to see that. He gets really excited around food he really loves.”
“It’s okay.” Fluttershy took it in stride while looking aside when he starting shoveling his food into his mouth.
“Anyways…” Twilight spoke up before asking her the favor they had in mind. “…we were wondering if you might be able to help us with something.”
“Of course!” Human Fluttershy happily and immediately offered her assistance. Especially since they both were more than willing to come to aid her when she needed it the most.
“I've decided to run for Princess of the Fall Formal, and Kion has decided to run for Prince of the Fall Formal and–“ Twilight explained her plan before being cut off by her gasping and accidentally dropped her fruit bowl spilling it’s juice onto Kion’s clothes.
“Oh! Oh, gosh! Sorry. It's just, oh, running for Fall Formal Princess is a really bad idea.” Human Fluttershy hastily apologized for her shock as she quickly tries to wipe away the stains from his clothes.
“Why?” Kion asked like what they are getting into is a big deal.
“Yeah, what could be so serious and dangerous about running for a title at a school dance?” Bunga asked with his mouth full earning him another nudge in the shoulder from his friend.
“Sunset Shimmer wants to be Fall Formal Princess, and when she wants something, she gets it!” Fluttershy explained as she points a finger in both Kion and Twilight’s faces before they get apples from Human Granny Smith at the checkout register. “She'll make life awful for anyone who stands in her way. Just ask the girl who ran against her for Princess of the Spring Fling and that’s not getting into the boy who briefly transferred here and attempted to run for Prince of the Spring Fling. He was left crying all the home and never showed his face here again after being humiliated by her.”
“Really?” Kion was left surprised to hear that. “Any idea who he was if I may ask?”
“All I know is that this guy was an eighth grader at the time who came here due to his excellent grades in school. He was also great at sports too, yet a somewhat low self-esteem when feeling sad.” Fluttershy explained with the four all curiously wondering where she is going with this. “And that day came when he tried to be the first Prince of the Spring Fling six months ago, and Sunset Shimmer decided to teach him a lesson he’ll never forget!”
“Like what?” Bunga dared to ask to which Fluttershy shuddered before gaining the courage to answer it.
“She made him bald, permanently!” She said with closed eyes.
“Whoa…”

Both Bunga and Kion expressed with wide eyed shock while Twilight looks on visibly saddened to hear that with her inner fire to put Sunset in her place growing even more.
“But still…” Twilight voiced undeterred. “We have to try!”
“Oh, I don't think you understand. You'd have to convince everyone here to vote for you instead of her: the athletes, the fashionistas, the dramas, the eco-kids, the techies, the rockers...” Fluttershy further warned them while pointing to various groups of students are standing and sitting across the cafeteria.
“But why is everybody separated this way?” Kion asked finding it hard to understand the reason for this kind of separation. “It’s like everypony...” Spike dope-slaps him across the cheek in reminder. “…everybody doesn’t want to try to really get to know each other more.”
“Maybe it was different at your old school, but at CHS, everybody sticks to their own kind.” Fluttershy further as they take their seats. “One thing that they do have in common is that they know Sunset Shimmer is gonna rule the school until we graduate.”
“Not if we can help it!” Twilight declared with a raised fist before biting into an apple and a hamburger at the same time. Once she swallowed after chewing down her first bites of food she popped this question for Fluttershy. “So, where would we find the head of the party planning committee?”
Sometime after lunch, the four all make their way towards the gymnasium where they were informed she would be in.
“Fluttershy said she and her new friend would probably be in here.” Twilight told Kion and the others as they all walked into the party-decorated gym.
“I wonder what they’re like.” Bunga wondered very eager to meet them.
And just instantly, his wish was granted when everyone heard two familiar voices.
“Heads up!”
“Incoming!”
Next thing they know they find themselves ambushed by party streamers that threatened to cover them before Twilight quickly pulled an umbrella to shield everyone from the streamer shower. After all of the streamers were released, Twilight closed the umbrella and placed it back in her backpack before turning to said girl and her friend.
“What?”
“No way!”
Both Kion and Bunga reacted in shock with who they are now seeing.
“Pinkie Pie.”
“Me.”
Twilight and Bunga both recognized with the latter gasping with joy to see his human counterpart here.
“No way! Zuka Zama!” Both Bunga’s shouted while doing back-flips before running back up towards each other while high-fiving each other and laughing together.
The human counterpart of Pinkie is wearing a white t-shirt with a pink heart on it with a pink skirt a small light blue short-sleeved sweater with matching light blue knee length boots with pink bows. And the human counterpart of Bunga was wearing a white T-shirt that had bright blue balloons on it to match his white hair and had bright sky blue shorts with matching sneakers.
At the same time, Pinkie who was blowing air into another balloon gasped in shock letting go of the balloon, sending it flying before getting right into her face. “Are you psychic?!” She asked Twilight as she grabbed her by the shirt with their faces barely an inch apart.
“Yes, yes I am.” Twilight quipped with a stoic expression before sarcastically asking. “How about you?”
“Not usually.” Pinkie sighed in response before letting her go personally wishing that she could, leaving the dark-clothed girl to stumble backwards before moving her arms forward to avoid falling back replied with a sigh before turning back to making party balloons.
“Anyways…” Kion spoke up while taking his eyes off of both Bunga’s making silly faces at each other. “…Fluttershy said this is where I'd find the head of the Fall Formal planning committee.”
“Fluttershy, huh?” Human Pinkie spoke skeptically at the very mention of her. “Don't let the whole "shy" thing fool you. She can be a real meanie.”
“What?” Kion was taken aback upon hearing what she just said. “You two aren't friends?”
“Nope!”
“Not since the Freshman Fair.”
Both Bunga’s replied separately with the latter quick to change the subject to the reason why they’re really here.
“Anyways, it is our understanding that you two want to get your names on the ballot, huh? Dance is day after tomorrow.”
“We’re brand new here.” Twilight honestly replied.
“Really?” Bunga’s counterpart replied while eyeing the two very closely along with Pinkie by inspecting Kion.
“Oooh! I thought you two didn't look familiar.” Pinkie added as she inspected Twilight a little and raised her arms up at the same time Human Bunga looks at the top of Kion’s head.
“Although you both certainly remind me of friends I know.” Other Bunga added while eyeing them skeptically.
“Do either or both of you have a twin brother and sister who lives in the city, has a pet dog named Spike that looks just like that one?” Pinkie asked.
“Uh, maybe?” Twilight answered with a shrug.
“Sure…” Kion went along with it by shrugging in response finding the whole eyeing the top of his head a little creepy.
“Thought so.” Human Pinkie replied before pulling out a clipboard and a pen for both Kion and Twilight to sign their names on the dotted line. “Any who, just need you both to fill this out and you are officially up for the coveted Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal crown.”
Kion went first by holding the pen like any human here would, although struggled quite a bit resulting in a sloppy write-up. Twilight followed after him, and managed to do so after a few extra seconds of careful handling due to never having hand-written anything herself before.
“Wow! You both have really bad handwriting. It's like neither of you have never held a pen before.” Human Pinkie said in amazement of what they both wrote on the clipboard.
“I know!” Human Bunga agreed while eyeing what his friend is seeing. “It’s worse than the time I tried to write when my hands got coated in hot cheese when trying to have nachos with them.”
“Didn’t that hurt?” Kion asked while wincing at the thought.
“Not really.” He shrugged it off while recalling popping the hot cheese into his mouth. “Although I wouldn’t recommend trying that if you don’t have steel hands like me.”
“We’ll keep that in mind.” Twilight just said not bothering to comment on that.
Just then someone entered the gym carrying something on a cart inside. “Somebody order a dozen cases of fizzy apple cider?” Another familiar voice called out as she entered the gym with said fizzy apple cider. A voice that belongs to Applejack.
“Oh! Oh! Me, me-me-me, me, yeah, ha-ha, me!”
“And me!”
Both Pinkie and Bunga exclaimed as they both ran over to the human version of Applejack to whom Twilight and Kion recognized together.
She had the same-colored skin and eyes as pony Applejack, along with the matching yellow-blonde colored hair, and the similar cowgirl hat but had a white shirt, with a blue jean skirt, and brown cowgirl knee length boots with apple markings decorated on her boots and her belt.
“Can you bring in the rest?” The farm girl called out to somebody helping her bring in the delivery while briefly wiping the sweat from her forehead.
“Eeyup.”
“Can do.”
Both Big Mac and Beshte simply replied as they both carried the remaining four crates containing apple cider in glass bottles as both Pinkie and Bunga happily jumped up and down in excitement for their delivery arriving just as planned.
“Beshte.” Kion quietly voiced upon recognizing him too.
Said human had on a gray and blue sweater, along with a lighter gray-shaded T-shirt underneath with matching colored pants and shoes.
Just when Applejack takes one of the crates off of her brother’s shoulders while Beshte continued carrying the two he already had in his hands, they both turned and stopped mid-way upon seeing Twilight and Kion looking at them like they recognize them.
“Hey, I know you.” Human Applejack said in their direction.
“You do?” Twilight asked when the two strong students move to place the crates onto the table.
“Sure. You're the new girl who gave Sunset Shimmer the what for today.” Applejack commended while using her teeth to remove the cap of one of the glass bottle of apple cider before drinking from it.
“And you two are the ones that Sunset nearly beat up until she came to your rescue.” Beshte brought up before approaching the boys. “Are you both okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Kion assured his friend’s human counterpart while still adjusting to what he is seeing.
“Me too.” Bunga happily and proudly replied while gesturing to Twilight and helping himself to one of the bottles of apple cider. “Thankful we had Ms. Tough Girl to back us up against the fiery red-headed girl who thinks she’s in charge of this school.”
“Who along with Kion here is also by the way gonna run against Sunset Shimmer for Princess and Prince of the Fall Formal.” Bunga’s human counterpart informed him to which Applejack spat out her drink out in alarm upon hearing that.
“What?!” Beshte exclaimed in shock nearly dropping the remaining cases of apple cider he was bringing to the table. “That’s dangerous!”
“I agree. And I'd think twice about that.” Applejack quickly agreed and warned while obtaining a balloon from Pinkie Pie. “Oh, sure, she'll probably approach you all friendly like…” She then said with her Sunset Shimmer impression while holding up a red heart balloon with Sunset’s face on it after drawing on it. “I sure am lookin' forward to some friendly competition.” She said before mimicking Twilight’s voice while holding up a yellow balloon with Twilight’s face drawn on it. “That's so good to hear.” She said before returning to her normal voice as she turns the heart balloon around which had a nail on the back of it as she pops the yellow balloon. “But then, here comes the backstabbin'.”
“Yep, that’s Sunset Shimmer all right.” Beshte added with a look that confirms it’s true. “Just about the only girl you can’t trust in school here.”
“In fact…” Applejack added with hints of hostility in her tone. “About the only girl in this school you can trust less than Sunset Shimmer is Rainbow Dash.”
“Rainbow Dash?” Twilight inquired.
“And why do say someone you can trust less.” Kion added in inquiry.
“She's the captain of, like, every team at Canterlot High.” Pinkie explained as she rode a balloon like a sit and bounce horse ride before it popped under the pressure of her weight.
“She's also the captain of sayin' she's gonna do somethin' for ya, and then turnin' around and not even botherin' to show up.” Applejack added with a tone that tells she holds a grudge against her.
“Now I wouldn’t say that.” Beshte attempted to ease his friend’s frustration. “Surely there must have been some good reason behind it.” He then turns to Twilight. “But with all joking aside, you really should be more careful in regards to Sunset Shimmer. You don’t want end up like one of our friends who tried run for Prince of the last Spring Fling here.”
“Thanks for the advice, Applejack, Beshte, but this is something we really need to do.” Twilight politely and assertively interrupted them as she briefly placed her hand on her shoulder.
“Huh, suit yourself.” Applejack simply shrugged to let her know it’s her choice and maybe funeral if she insists on going through with it.
“Good luck.” Beshte added but then stopped and quickly turned back to her. “And just curious, how do you already know my name?”
“And mine too.” Applejack added upon processing the mention of her name. “How'd you know my name is Applejack?” She then asked Twilight feeling suspicious already towards her.
“Just a lucky guess.” Twilight calmly responded with a shrug. “Didn’t you say?”
“Nnnope.” Big Mac shook his head as he brought in another case of glass bottled apple cider.
“Anyways…” Twilight continued without any nervousness as she shook Applejack’s hand. “…it sure was nice meeting you all and I'm sure we'll be seeing you around.” She then rushed off ahead while briefly turning to the others. “Kion! Bunga! Spike! Let’s go!”
Kion and Spike both quickly followed after her with Bunga trailing after them while sneaking off with four more bottles of apple cider after drinking two already.
“That one's tryin' to hide a secret, but I am totally on to her.” Pinkie commented to the others.
“Yeah, that black-haired girl is definitely up to something.” Bunga added in agreement with Pinkie whispering in both Applejack and Beshte’s ears.
“She's psychic!”
“Um, okay.”
“Uh-huh. If you say so.”
Both Beshte and Applejack shrugged in response with the former just going along with it.
“Although that boy she was with looked awfully familiar to me.” Beshte then brought up like he’s seen him before while remembering he also had hair back then. “But I can’t put my finger on it.”
Before they could dwell on wondering more about it, they heard the doors to the gym suddenly burst open courtesy of Sunset Shimmer accompanied by both Snips and Snails leaving one to wonder how she got them to help her out on whatever schemes she need's help in carrying out when needed.
Snips had a green sweater, khaki jeans, red sneakers, and short aqua green hair while Snails had short orange hair, a black T-Shirt with a blue snail on the front of it with matching blue jeans and green sneakers.
“This looks terrible!” She yelled out to everyone before storming inside like she owns the place and observing what she is seeing so far. “There should be more streamers near the stage and fewer balloons.” She berated while popping two of the balloons right in front of her leaving both Pinkie and Bunga visibly saddened by her harsh attitude.
“Yeah, streamers!”
“And fewer balloons!”
Both her followers repeated to which Bunga rolled his eyes at their stupidity with the feeling that they make him look smart.
Sunset then moved towards the planned refreshments of the Fall Formal while reacting in disgust as she holds up one of the apple cider bottles. “Fizzy apple cider? Ugh! This is my coronation, not a hoedown.”
“Well, now, it ain't necessarily gonna be your coronation this time around.” Applejack fired back to the arrogant teenager who likewise got fired up and got right up into her face in response for talking back to her leaving Pinkie, Bunga, and Beshte backing away from what could be another ugly scene between them.
“Oh, is that so? You country folk really aren't that bright. Must be why the other students say such awful things about you.” Sunset angrily retorted by turning her hat and then placed her hat right on and over her face leaving Applejack turning red with anger with her eyes appearing from the top of her slightly burned off hat. “Obviously it's gonna be my coronation. I'm running unopposed.”
“Not this year.” Bunga spoke up while Pinkie held up the signup sheet on her clipboard.
“The new girl and new guy just signed up.” Pinkie added while handing Sunset the clipboard.
“What?!” Sunset exclaimed in shock as she took a look at who her newest opponents for the running of the Fall Formal are.
“I know. Their handwriting is really bad.” Pinkie said thinking it was for that reason.
“Bad to when I got my hands coated in hot cheese.” Bunga likewise added just when Sunset lifts the clipboard from her face with burning fury written all over her face.
“Where is this Twilight Sparkle and her so-called friend Kion?” Sunset calmly but furiously asked before realizing that Pinkie, Bunga, Beshte, and Applejack heard her when she turned back to them. “I'm looking forward to meeting the competition!” quickly said more pleasantly in a minimal effort to hide and mask her anger towards her. Yet those who know her very well will know that's a lie.
At the same time, the group of four outside of the gym all know that the two of them are now facing potential trouble now that she knows who she’s up against and they likewise know too after having eavesdropped every word Sunset had just said since she got here.
“Let’s go!” Twilight whispered to the others before leading the group away from the gym.
“Good idea!” Bunga whispered in agreement while starting to feel his bladder filling up again personally regretting drinking all six bottles of apple cider all at once. “I really gotta go before I wet myself.”

Shortly after leaving the gym with Bunga managing himself time to use the bathroom (the boys bathroom this time), the four all walk down the hallway trying to figure their next approach to wanting be crowned Prince and Princess of Fall Formal with Spike now riding in Twilight’s backpack this time around.
“You look troubled.” Twilight said to Kion after seeing his nervous expression.
“I am.” He didn’t deny it. “But I’m sure you know why.”
“I do.” She replied. “Don’t worry about her, we’re going to win those crowns back and get back home.”
“And exactly how is telling me personally this helping?” Kion asked still wary of her.
“Because I know that this will play out to our advantage.” She insisted while sounding gentle and sincere that she really means it deep down. “Just try to trust me on this for once.”
Kion even with her assurance knows that as soon as they get back home the truce is over so naturally he has mixed feelings of whether she’s just saying that or speaking from what little good is from within for heart.
While deep in thought, they ended up turning a corner towards a dark portion of the hallway where one of the lockers opening on its own in an eerily fashion while lights around the locker area flicker.
A sense of creepiness sparked a chill up the young boy’s spine upon seeing this area, more so when they heard an antagonistic voice appear and speak to them.
“Can't believe I didn't recognize you both earlier.” Sunset smugly spoke as she appeared right behind the trio with an evil smirk and crossing her legs while leaning her shoulder on one of the lockers before approaching the four. “Shoulda known Princess Celestia would send her prized pupils here after my crowns, along with one of her arrogant tag-along friends, and her little dog, too.” She said as she circled the three.
“Hey! I’m not arrogant! I’m brave!” Bunga protested in offense to her remarks.
“And it's our crowns!” Twilight firmly retorted while brandishing her knuckles together. “And if you’re looking to threaten me I suggest you turn the other way before this ends badly for you because you should be smart enough not to mess with me.”
“Whatever.” Sunset shrugged it off while continuing to circle them. “This is just a minor setback for me. You don't know the first thing about this place, and I already rule it.”
“How? Surely the principals have a say in that!” Kion argued.
“Ha!” Sunset scoffed. “Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna are nothing but mere figurines who believe every word I say when I want them to believe it.” She then looked down on him to say this. “Surely you of all people would understand that?”
Kion was left very puzzled of what she was talking about but knew she was just trying to get into his skin. “If that's so, why do you even need our crowns?” He then dared ask for her reasons for doing so.
“And you sure went to an awful lot of trouble to switch it with the ones that belong here.” Twilight added while backing Kion up there.
“Pop quiz: what happens when you bring an Element of Harmony into an alternate world?” Sunset questioned back at the two.
Kion thinks about it for a moment on the correct answer before being cut off just when he was opening his mouth to respond. “You don't know? Seriously?” She then turns to Twilight. “And you're supposed to be Princess Celestia's star student?” She tauntingly asked her as Twilight glares back at her. “Then again, what were the chances she'd find somepony as bright as me to take under her wing after I decided to leave Equestria? Bit embarrassing that you were the best she could do.” She further insulted them as Spike growls with Starlight having enough of the fiery-haired girl trying to bully her steps forward in her defense.
“In answer to your question Sunset…” Twilight responded catching her attention. “…that power you are after is something that even you can’t handle even if you claim you could and I doubt that is something you really want if you even know what’s good for you.”
“Sounds like power is really getting to your head, Twilight.” Sunset returned unfazed while pointing a finger in her face to which Twilight pinches it to get her to back off. “Ow! Ow! Hey!” As Sunset shakes the pain off of her pointer finger, Spike follows it up with a threatening bark in her direction leaving her slightly caught off-guard for a moment there.
“Oh, and I'd keep an eye on your mutt. Hate for him to be... taken away from you.” Sunset subtly warned in response.
“Is that a threat?” Spike asked with a glare and a raised fist.
“Oh, of course not.” Sunset falsely assures him to which Spike barks at him while still growling at her surprising her once again before hushing him with a finger.
“Oh, please, you can’t fool me Sunset Shimmer.” Bunga called bull on her attempting innocence before getting up in her face while pounding his fists together. “We know what you’re trying to do and can’t fool us! In fact we…”
Sunset quickly shuts him up by pinching his lips together. “I'd cut down on the chatter if I were you. Don't want everyone to know you four don't belong here, now would you?” She then turns back to her competition for the crowns. “You wanna be a prince here? You wanna be a princess here? Please. You two don't know the first thing about fitting in.” Sunset then said as she smugly smirked again while walking off feeling that she has put both Twilight and Kion in their places.
“We’ll just see about that!” Twilight called after her who didn’t look back while walking away from them. “Wait here.” She told the others before running off after her.
“What are you doing?!” Kion called after her thinking she is going to beat her up in retaliation.
“Finding out what she is planning!” Twilight called back without looking back before quickly catching her ripping the streamers off of her dizzy and ditzy lackeys who both spin around rapidly for a minute before stopping and dropping to the ground.
The black-haired girl then peered her head around the corner catching their enemy ordering Snips and Snails around with very specific instructions.
“I want you to follow them. Bring me something I can use just like I did with that last girl who thought she could challenge me along with the last boy I humiliated for doing the same thing.”
Just when Kion and Bunga catch up with her they both managed to catch the last thing Sunset said to them.
“You got it, Sunset Shimmer.” Snips obliged as he and Snails both saluted to her.
“When the crowns and its power are mine, Twilight Sparkle and Kion will both be sorry they ever set hoof and paw into this world. Not that she would've been much safer if she'd stayed in Equestria.” Sunset vowed to herself with narrowed eyes as she is prepared to do whatever it takes win it.
“Yeah, in Equestria.” Snails repeated.
"What do you mean by paws?" Snips cluelessly inquired.
“What are you still doing here?! Go!” Sunset barked at them and pointed towards the opposite direction so they get the message to get going. The two quickly do so but not without crashing into each other head to head in a clumsy manner before running off together.
After seeing what she needed to see, Twilight quickly turned the corner while dragging both Kion and Bunga by their shirts before Sunset could spot them before running off.
Once they retreated to an area where Sunset wouldn’t cross paths with her, Twilight dropped them both onto the ground evidently unhappy that they both nearly got themselves caught in the act with her visibly cross expression more directed at Kion.
“Twilight I…” Kion tried to explain himself for assuming she was going to give him an earful.
"We'll have a conversation about proper eavesdropping later!" She stated not wanting to chastise him at this time before moving forward. "For now, we need to just keep moving!”
Even so, Kion looked down feeling upset with himself before following after her along with Bunga. His friend was about to speak up to help try and make him feel better but, when he opened his mouth, nothing came out since there was nothing that could help make things better.
“At times like this, I really wish I knew what to say.” Bunga settled to say while walking alongside him.
"I know. I know." Spike acknowledged. "But...there are some things that even I can do. And I'm afraid that urging forgiveness and turning the cheek from Twilight's isn't one of them."
The group scame to stop at a nearby vending machine where Twilight pulled some coins from her coat pocket with the desire to purchase some from it. “Want anything?” She asked the others.
“Um, sure.” Bunga was quick to accept the offer before taking a look at what they had. “Hmm, let’s see…” He looked at and spotted a candy bar with a lightning bolt logo on the wrapping. “Ooh! That looks good! I’ll have that one.”
Twilight inserted a coin and pressed the button so the requested snack could fall out of its shelf before dropping to the bottom so she can be allowed to get it. “Here you go.” Twilight handed him the candy bar who wasted no time eating it up.
“Mmm! Wow! Thanks!” He said while enjoying the sugary sweet pleasure it contained while Twilight moves to get another snack for Spike, a bag of cheese curls. “Here you are, Spike.”
“Mmm!” Spike licked his lips before diving his head into the bag of snacks. “Thanks, Twilight!”
“How about you, Kion?” Twilight offered.
“Um, well…” He hesitated still taken aback by her sudden generosity.
But before he could decide they were interrupted by Trixie’s human counterpart approaching them, seeking to get a snack herself.
Said girl had a purple t-shirt that matches her pony counterpart’s cape and a matching skirt with her cutie mark on it, and a blue sweater.
“Excuse me. Can I please?” Trixie politely addressed them as she walks up to the vending machine.
“Of course.” Twilight replied while stepping aside and pulling Kion aside so they don’t hold her up.
“The Great and Powerful Trixie!” She dramatically said in third person while moving her hands around like a magician before holding up a coin. “...Needs some peanut butter crackers.” She then inserted the coin into the machine as the item she wanted came out of the machine. “Voilà!” After picking up her desired snack she turned and walked away.
“I’m good.” Kion declined with a sigh.
“Okay.” Twilight said in reply before using the coin she was going to use for Kion to treat herself to some peanut butter crackers herself from the vending machine feeling disappointed in his lack of trust toward her even during a truce.
“Sorry.” He apologized. “It’s just I’ve been thinking about what Sunset said back there.”
“She’s just trying to get into your head.” She asserted once more. “Don’t let her discourage you because that’s exactly what she wants you to do.”
“I know but I can’t help it because Sunset Shimmer is right.” Kion argued. “I’m sorry but I don’t even know the first thing about this place. I don’t even know the first thing with how this place works.”
“And I agree with you.” Twilight replied sensing that this is greatly troubling him much to his relief that this isn’t sparking another dispute. “If we’re gonna really fit in and win votes, we need to do some research. And lucky for you, there is one place that has what we need!” She then lead everyone towards a specific area where one of her greats strength’s lies in.
“Research?” Spike questioned.
“For what?” Bunga also asked.
“The school library!” Twilight answered as she eyed said place just around the corner as she quickly gets started on her research while unbeknownst to her and the others Snips and Snails are both already at the library ready to do some close spying on them.
“Got your phone?” Snips asked his partner in crime.
“Got yours?” Snails asked back before they both snicker as they set out to do what Sunset ordered them to do before slinking inside the room.
Twilight moved towards to take a seat before working her hands on the keyboard. “Bunga…” He motioned him to come over who quickly did so. “Keep Sunset’s boys busy." She gestured to the two dimwits trying to spy and record them doing anything embarrassing.
“On it!” He declared loudly with a salute earning him a hush from the school librarian Cheerlie who had a white sleeved dress shirt, a brown vest, a green flowing skirt with yellow flowers and matching green petals decorated on it, with matching knee-length socks and brown knee length boots.
“No loud voices in the library, please?” She kindly reminded before walking off with a cart of books in tow.
“Sorry…” He blushed a little before repeating himself with a more quieter tone. “On it!” He then quickly ran off ahead looking around, getting all serious looking for the boys hired to do Sunset's dirty work for her.
“Okay…” Twilight said focusing her attention back towards the computer while slowly but surely understanding of how it works. “…Let’s see.” She said while clicking on a key that opens up the internet while Kion watches over her shoulder. “Kion could you hand me that book?” She gestured to the nearby cart leaving Kion confused of what specific book she is requesting of him.
“Um, okay.“ Kion does as he was told before handing her a random book from the cart to where she pointed her finger towards. “Here you go.”
“Thanks.” She replied without looking back before tossing the book right at both Snips and Snails trying to record them up close. “Bunga.” She called out as loud as she can in a library. Said boy popped his head out from behind the staircase before seeing Twilight nudge her head in the duo now knocked out.
Bunga moved to carry them out of here while tossing her their phones while he was at it.
“So this machine…?” Kion couldn’t help but wonder while Twilight does her work on it. “…you just push the letters here, and then the words and moving pictures will come up here?” He wondered as she typed on the keyboard.
“That's right.” She answered without looking back. “And what you are seeing is a machine of magic.”
Before Kion could ask what she’s found so far, he was interrupted just before he could speak due to the sound of music blasting through full volume much to Cheerlie’s irritation with a matching face palm courtesy of the Cutie Mark Crusaders who all danced to the beat.
"When you're a younger–" Scootaloo’s voice sang in the song before having the volume shut off by the school librarian.
“Uh, girls, what are you doing?” Cheerlie politely asked them while keeping her cool in front of them.
“We're just seeing how many hits our new music video has gotten.” Sweetie Belle answered as she turned the song back on and started dancing to the tune again.
"So the three of us will fight the fight
There is nothing…”
Scootaloo’s voice sang in the song before Cheerlie turned off the volume again.
“No, just... No!” Cheerlie calmly but firmly told them they can’t do that here as she walks off confiscating the speaker. “The school computers are for research purposes only.”
“It's just as well, y'all.” Apple Bloom said to her companions as they look at the comments on the website. “Some of the comments about our song were really awful. "Epic fail"... "Funniest thing I've ever seen"?!”
“Funniest thing they've ever seen, huh?” Sweetie Belle wondered seeing this is a good thing with an idea sparking in her head along with her friends before they run off together.
“Uh, I don't know that that's what you should take from...“ Kion attempted to advise to no avail as they already ran off before he could get a word in.
“I think they’ll get it in time.” Twilight insisted it’s not something they should worry about right now before continuing focusing her eyes on the screen for more much-needed research ahead of them.
Through the rest of the day, Twilight pulled out a massive stack of books aside so she can read them at a nearby table with Kion joins in on doing half of the reading and lifting in an effort to try to figure out what they need to be looking for while taking his turn on the computer to which he found himself being unable to control his fingers in manipulating the keyboard.
During which Bunga has been keeping guard for Snips and Snails who both managed to return with new phones before having them quickly swiped away by the pre-teen student himself.
“Huh?”
“What?”
Was all they could say before being greeted by the boy himself.
“ROAR!” He shouted while wearing a bear mask similar to the Ursa Minor that briefly invaded Ponyville.
“AAAAAAHHHHH!” They screamed before running away. “BEAR ATTACK!”
Once they both disappeared, Bunga took off the mask and laughed taking great joy in pulling that prank over them before returning inside.
In an effort to take a little break from reading, Kion moves towards the copying machine to try to figure out how it works. Not knowing what it does he guesses and presses a green button on the machine and then finds himself sent flying back from the blinding light the machine created.
Twilight having seen this giggled to herself finding it pretty funny while Snips and Snails return with their bodies shaking again in terrible fright before Bunga leaped down to repeat the same scare.
“ROAR!”
“AAAAAAHHHHH!” They screamed before running away again. “BEAR ATTACK!”
The research continued throughout the rest of the day well into the evening where Kion has stepped up and taken a little stretching breather while Twilight just keeps going head-first into the books she has gathered. It sure was a long and tiring afternoon but the results from their research were well worth it.
“The library will be closing in five minutes.” The P.A. announced as Twilight and Kion both yawned already reaching their limits on doing research for the day while Bunga watches over at the doorway for Snips and Snails trying to attempt to spy on his friends again. But so far, it seems they have finally backed off for now.
“Hevi Kabisa!” Kion reacted fully awake looking at the clock which read quarter to nine on the wall. “It’s that late already?!”
“I hadn't even thought about where we're gonna sleep tonight!” Twilight gasped in realization when she realized how much time was spent researching.
“Or eating.” Bunga added while his stomach growled. “After doing a lot of scaring and keeping a couple dimwitted spies that were no match for me away, I’m hungry already!”
“Way ahead of you.” Spike reassured her as she shows her three beds he created out of books. “It's a little…” Spike coughed as the dust blew off when he removed the blanket covering the book beds. “… dusty. But it doesn't seem like anybody comes up here.”
“It’s perfect, Spike.” Twilight thankfully acknowledged it will do as she affectionately pet him to which he lies on his back like any loved dog while Starlight joins up with them and sitting on her makeshift bed beside Twilight while Kion and Bunga both take their separate beds.
To Kion especially, it felt weird since they were sleeping somewhere they weren’t supposed to still be in after hours and books aren’t exactly known for being soft.
Bunga however had this compliment ready to go again since he is still hungry until Twilight got out of her bed and pulled out sandwiches, chips, and cookies from her bag for them to enjoy. “Normally, I would never be making this offer in a library, but since it is after hours and I’ll quickly erase any trace of our eating right away once were done. So dig in.”
Bunga and Spike both quickly did so but with Twilight saying. “Hold it!” before handing them napkins for them to eat over.
“Kion? I don’t suppose you would like something eat.” She offered again along with a candy bar he probably would have had if he accepted it earlier.
“Can I please?” Kion asked not wanting to starve or create anymore friction during their truce.
“Eat up.” She tossed him the bag of goods without second thought before turning her attention to Spike while affectionately petting him and rubbed his belly.
Spike was still left surprised and unsure of how to make of this wondering if this really is her good side showing or being set up to be caught off-guard for a trap before leaning his thoughts into the former. “So, how did your research go?” Spike asked as she continues to pet and rub his belly.
“Pretty good.” She positively replied. ”In fact while I was at it…” She pulled a specific book that caught her eye. “…I found this book. It's called a yearbook. It seems to be something they use to keep a record of things that have happened at the school.” She opened it and showed them what’s inside of it. “Look. That's Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and I'm gonna bet the girl on the far right is Rarity.” She pointed to a past photo of her human counterpart friends getting along and getting around at the bench for their yearbook photo while pointing to the girl that has her unicorn counterpart’s matching blue eyes and indigo colored mane and hairstyle.
“There's a Rarity here!?” Spike exclaimed in excitement at the sight of his crush as he grabs ahold of the book. “Uh, I mean, uh... interesting photo.” He then said handing the book back to Twilight who rolls her eyes amused while Bunga snickers from behind his back. “What’s so funny?”
“Oh nothing, other than I’ll be dog gone if you go running after her the second you see her.” Bunga joked while laughing on his back. “Get it? Dog gone!”
Spike just rolled his eyes and grunted in response. “Just you wait until you see a girl of your dreams coming your way.”
Bunga continued to laugh harder in response. “I doubt it!”
Deciding to ignore it for now, Kion turned his attention back to the yearbook and the Mane Five when they were younger. “That’s interesting because they sure look more like friends than they were today.” He commented. “You know, compared to what we saw of them today to this photo of them together.”
“I know.” She acknowledged.
“Really?” Bunga questioned as he join in on taking a look at the photo. “I thought we figured that they do look like our friends. You know the hair color, hair style, the same colored eyes, and same voices. Doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together.”
“I think what we mean is that seem like they were friends maybe back then at least, but now, well…it’s doesn’t look like they are friends now.” Kion clarified.
“Not so much.” Spike taking note of the tension they shown towards each other through the day.
“I just can't help but get the feeling that Sunset Shimmer had something to do with it.” Kion continued voicing his thoughts.
“That’s definitely possible.” Twilight agreed.
“Only one girl I know that could break a bond between five besties.” Bunga added thinking it’s very likely too. "Here of course!" He quickly added after seeing the troubled look his best friend has.
“I wouldn't put it past her.” Spike acknowledged before starting to pull out blankets to cover everyone while they sleep. “But she wanted your and Twilight’s crowns 'cause she's planning on doing something even worse! If you're gonna stop her, you have to focus on making friends here. Can't worry about why these girls aren't friends anymore.” Spike told Twilight to focus on what they need to here. “Even if they do remind you of your Ponyville friends.” Spike added with a yawn before falling asleep.
“Spike’s right.” Twilight agreed while wrapping her arm around Spike while settling in for the night. “Eye on the prize. Just focus on the objective here.”
“All right.” Kion decided it was for the best before settling but not without asking her. “Can I ask you something before we go to sleep?” Twilight nodded. “It’s not that I’m not grateful but why are you being so nice to me during this truce?”
“Because truthfully, this is the kind of ruler I want to be.” She honestly answered without second thought. “All I want out of my future subjects is to lead them to a better future.”
“Well that’s…a pretty good and modest approach.” He complimented and admitted.
“It is and I certainly hope everyone else sees me that way.” She shared. “Anything else or is that about it for tonight?”
“Um…” He thought before settling for. “No. That’s it for now.”
“Okay. Good night.” She said before moving to start sleeping till the morning.
Kion even knowing nothing he says at the moment could change her stance on siding with Scar even though he feels she has much more potential if she used her powers for the greater good. But considering they a bigger objective here and that any progress he had getting through to her could be undone with one wrong question, he decided that it was best to leave it at that for now.
All he could do know while staring up into the sky was silently pray that the Lions of the Past have good faith in him and Twilight with everything on the line before falling asleep.

“Good morning, students, and happy Thursday. Just a reminder to pick up your ballots for the Princess of the Fall Formal today. They are due at the time the dance starts tomorrow night, so don't forget to turn them in and make your voice heard.” Principal Celestia’s voice spoke over the P.A. system as students have just arrived at school with the library opening back up.
Even while having to settle for reading on books for the night though then again he’s used to sleeping on solid stone at Pride Rock, Kion still managed a good night’s sleep.
With two days left until the Fall Formal, Kion was ready to get started on their objective. “So what’s the plan?” He asked Twilight while making their way to the entrance.
“Fluttershy said we'd need to win over all those different groups if we wanna become Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal. So I've compiled a list of talking points.” Twilight explained to everyone while holding up said list of papers in her hands.
“You made a list? That's so unlike you!” Spike laughed
"I know right!" Bunga laughed too before Twilight shot glares at the both of them and motioned Spike get in her backpack without saying a word. "I mean...how very interesting!" He quickly said to try to backpedal what he just said with slight nervous laughter to save face.
“Uh... Please... Continue.” Spike also laughed nervously before deciding he needed to shut up now before he too picks up the shovel.
“We'll start by introducing ourselves, sprinkle in some things we learned about their world into the conversation, and show them how we fit in here!” Twilight explained as they reached the exit. Before leaving she takes a calming breath before walking outside to greet the students. “Okay, Spike, Kion, Bunga. Time to make a good first impression on my fellow students. Both worlds depends on it.”
The trio would then walk down the hallway as they see their reactions to them or more specifically towards Kion looking on at the boy with stifled giggles, chuckles and laughs at his direction.
“Why is everybody looking at me funny?” Kion asked still very confused like he did something embarrassing.
“I don’t know.” Twilight replied not sure why either before shooting everyone the stink eye to get them to stop it to which they all quickly did so by turning around and dropping their smiles.
Considering she was able to take down Sunset and defended three students in one swoop, they were better off not getting on her bad side.
Just before Kion could figure out why, both he and Twilight were both suddenly yanked inside a nearby room.
“Whoa!” The two exclaimed before the girl in question quickly gestured Bunga to come in before anything else happened.
“What in the Pride Lands…” Kion grunted while nearly crashing into a desk with initial anger ready to hear a good explanation until he and Twilight turned and saw that it was the human counterpart of Rarity that pulled them inside.
“Rarity?” Twilight questioned said girl who wore a light blue t-shirt, dark purple belt a purple skirt with dark purple knee length boots and purple socks, and waist-length hair that matches her pony counterpart’s length before taking some measurements of her all around as she smiles at an idea while gesturing for someone to bring her the things she needs.
Said assistant turns out to be the human counterpart of Ono who wore a white sleeved shirt with small orange stripes with matching spiky hair and cargo pants.
“Hevi Kabisa! Ono?” Kion exclaimed upon recognizing him.
“Perfect!” Rarity exclaimed in delight as she pulled out a green dress with matching socks, boots with a blonde wig to cover her outfit and hair along with. “Oh, yes. This is good! No one will recognize you!” Human Rarity said amazed with herself as she looks at Twilight’s disguise before gently removing her black leather jacket. “As long as you don’t wear this.”
“Sorry, Twilight.” Ono apologized before gently placing it aside on a nearby desk. “But this jacket definitely gives away the bad girl look.”
“Why wouldn't I wanna be– “ Twilight tried to ask before being cut off.
"And we'll need a disguise for your friends and your dog.” Rarity said as she pulls out a gray t-shirt with black jeans with a matching vest and a black slicked back hair wig and puts on Kion.
Ono himself tended to Bunga by quickly handing Rarity his disguise, a white dress shirt with a black tie, black dress shoes, black belt, blue dress pants and a combed and slightly curled up black hairpiece.
“Egad!” Bunga gasped before smiling while pretending to deepen his voice. “I’m gorgeous!”
“Okay, now you’re starting to creep me out.” Ono said personally feeling a little regret for choosing that costume for him.
“Perfect! The classic switch-a-roo.” Rarity told the baffled red-headed boy before turning to Spike. “Your pet is so adorable!” Rarity said as she tickled his chin and held his cheeks as Spike looks at her with her heart shaped eyes at his crush. “Y'know, with a little work, I think I could make him look like a rabbit instead.”
“Huh?” Spike spoke in confusion.
“A rabbit?” Twilight asked just as confused while sharing puzzled looks with Kion.
“Could you at least tell us what is going on…?” Kion tried to ask just when the door opens with the rest of the Mane Five and their Lion Guard friends (sans Rainbow Dash and Fuli) walking in right away with worried looks.
“There you are, Twilight, Kion, Bunga Two.” Applejack told her much to Rarity and Ono’s dismay.
“Boy are we glad to see you.” Beshte said feeling pleased that nothing bad happened to them yet.
“So much for the disguise.” Ono grumbled with crossed arms. “After all of that quick thinking for nothing.”
“I've been lookin' all over for ya!” Applejack said as she approached her.
“Me too.” Fluttershy added with concern in her voice.
“Me three! I like your new look! And who’s your creepy friend?” Pinkie added as she examined her, Kion, and Bunga’s disguises.
“Ooh! Ooh!” Bunga’s human counterpart jumped up and down eager to guess. “I know! I know! That slime ball mad scientist Jim Morarity.”
“No! No!” His look-alike shook his head while pointing towards the boy’s clothes. “More like that guy, um what was his name, Mr. Ebako. Or what, was it Obake?”
“I don’t know!” His other world self shrugged.
“I do have an eye for these sorts of things. Not that you seem to care.” Rarity thought nothing of her skills before throwing a grudge filled remark directed at Pinkie as she turns aside crossing her arms.
“What?!” Pinkie exclaimed in offense to that.
“Why do you think she doesn't care?” Kion felt the need to ask as she sees Applejack gesturing her while waving her hands in front of her throat and Fluttershy covering her mouth in great worry upon seeing Pinkie is about ready to blow her top. Seeing this gave Kion the memo it was best to scratch his question for now. “No, never mind.”
“Why were you all looking for us like that? What's going on?“ Twilight asked everyone as she took of her blonde wig.
“Oh, she hasn't heard yet.” Fluttershy said seeing neither she or Kion know what they are talking about.
“Heard what?” Kion asked just as confused.
“Um, just a really embarrassing video that you’ll probably never live down for a little while.” Bunga nervously explained.
“But, it's really not that bad.” Pinkie nervously added as she opened up her laptop to show them a video.
“Kion and Twilight Sparkle wants to be your Fall Formal Prince and Princess.” Sunset’s voice spoke through the video as she shows footage of Twilight looking around giving people glares to everyone as she walk through the hallways. “But what does it say about our school if we give someone like these two... such an important honor?” Sunset’s voice spoke as she showed footage of Kion embarrassing himself at the library.
“Huh?”
“Wha... I...” Both Twilight said taken aback by what Sunset has posted online.
“I take that back. It's pretty bad!” Pinkie voiced her honesty about the video before quickly shutting her labtop closed.
“But how?!”
“Has everyone in the school seen this? Is that why they were all looking at us that way?”
Both Kion and Twilight questioned everyone else in room.
“Mmm...” Applejack and Pinkie Pie said as Fluttershy and Rarity looked aside awkwardly which confirmed.
“Afraid so.” Human Bunga replied with a regretful nod.
With only one possible explanation remaining, Twilight turned to the other Bunga with a stern glance while standing up and crossing her arms. “Bunga…” He began at the boy that accompanied them who nervously gulped upon seeing her scowl. “…when taking care of both Snips and Snails you did delete the evidence they had on us did you?”
“Uh…no.” He admitted upon thinking back. “For some reason, I thought they didn’t manage to obtain anything on you both.” He added with a nervous chuckle pleading not to be killed for this but lucky for him Twilight just face-palmed at herself for not being specific when he asked them to take care of them.
Even though nobody holds him accountable for what happened, it doesn’t change of how distraught they are by the damage Sunset has done.
“What am I gonna do? No one is gonna vote for us after seeing this!” Kion exclaimed in great worry.
“Not that it'll make any difference, but I'll still vote for you both.” Fluttershy tried to reassure her support for them even though Kion planted both hands onto his face in despair while Twilight’s posture doesn’t change one bit. “You were so nice to stand up for me when Sunset Shimmer was picking on me yesterday.” She said to Kion before turning to Twilight. “And you sure had the heart and bravery and take her down when she was to beat him and his friend up. I don’t think anyone has ever had the guts to do that to me at all.”
“If ya still wanna run, maybe there's something I can do to help!” Pinkie immediately offered.
“Word of advice? Don't accept her help. She doesn't take anything seriously!” Fluttershy bluntly whisper commented to Twilight which Pinkie takes offense to having heard that.
“Ugh! Why do you have to be so awful to me?” Pinkie stomped her foot to the ground taken aback by that comment as Rarity walks up to her.
“Oh! Pff. Kch. Ts!” Rarity scoffed. “Don't play innocent, Pinkie Pie! You are no better than she is!” She angrily accused her while pointing an accusing finger at Fluttershy.
“And what is that supposed to mean?!” Pinkie shouted in Rarity’s face as she turned her attention back to Twilight.
“I am happy to offer up my assistance as well.” She generously offered to Twilight before shouting at Pinkie. “To someone who would appreciate what I have to offer!“
As Pinkie, Rarity, and Fluttershy argue, Spike zips himself in Twilight’s backpack while Kion looks on really dumbfounded by whatever has gotten into them while the others just cringed and watched from the sidelines.
“Listen to y'all carryin' on! Get over it and move on!” Applejack indifferently responded to their argument as she finishes eating up an apple and places it into the nearby trashcan while sitting cross-legged on the desk.
“You mean like how you've gotten over what happened with Rainbow Dash?” Rarity asked Applejack while literally pointing fingers at her to remind her that she’s not completely free of the whole dispute situation.
“She said she'd get the softball team to make an appearance at my bake sale. I tell everybody they're comin', and then not one of 'em shows up! She made a liar outta me! That's different!” Applejack retorted defensively.
“Uh-huh.” Bunga from Equestria commented not finding the difference. “Sure it does.”
“Is not!” Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity argued not buying it.
“Is too!” Applejack angrily retorted as they continue arguing with each other.
“Girls, girls, knock it off…” Kion attempted to speak up to get them to stop to no avail until Twilight screamed.
“STOP! All of you!” She scolded the four girls.
“Good grief, who’s been sending bees your way.” Bunga said in relief feeling it’s safe to rejoin them.
“No one.” Applejack admitted.
“Seriously, I was being rhetorical there.” Bunga remarked feeling annoyed himself then realized. “And I sounded just like Fuli there.”
“So that’s why she tends to get annoyed at times.” Human Bunga realized.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking…” Bunga happily gasped at the same time as his human self.
“…you mean…?”
“We both just realized something together!” They cheered in unison before laughing and hugging it out like best buds.
“Oh no. Two Bunga’s in the same room. What a nightmare.” Ono dully remarked finding one’s antics painful enough.
“Anyways…” Twilight said wanting to focus on what she wants to talk to the bickering group of friends. “I wanna show you something.” She pulled out the yearbook courtesy of Spike handing it to her and showed them their yearbook photo. “You were friends once.”
“Hmm. The Freshman Fair. Y'all remember?” Applejack recalled as she smiled at the past memory and turned to the others who reply yes in agreement.
“Mm-hmm.” Pinkie said in agreement.
“Yes.” Rarity also agreed.
“But something happened.” Kion spoke up as Twilight closed the book and looked at them seriously. “I think that something was Sunset Shimmer.”
“Well, it's a nice theory, darling, but Sunset Shimmer had nothing to do with it.” Rarity politely insisted against that idea.
“She's right.” Fluttershy agreed somewhat defensively. “Sunset Shimmer isn't the one who ruined my silent auction for the animal shelter by bringing fireworks and noisemakers! It was supposed to be a serious event, and Pinkie Pie ruined it!” She then accused Pinkie as she turned aside with crossed arms.
“What are you talking about?” Pinkie questioned in disbelief as she held up her phone. “I got a text from you saying that you didn't want a silent auction. You wanted a big party!”
“Uh! I never sent you a text!” Fluttershy said feeling confused now.
“You didn't?” Pinkie asked in surprise to her innocent response.
“You don't think she's the one who's been sending me those e-mails, do you?” Rarity questioned as she puts the pieces together along with the others. “Every time I volunteer to help with the decorations at a school function, I get an e-mail from Pinkie Pie saying she has plenty of volunteers! And then I find out she's done everything herself.”
“I never sent you any e-mails!” Pinkie innocently stated.
“Maybe she's the reason Rainbow Dash didn't show up for my bake sale!” Applejack came to realize it herself.
“Didn't you ever ask Rainbow Dash why she didn't show up?” Twilight asked if the thought her occurred to her.
“Heh, I guess I kinda stopped talkin' to her at all after that.” Applejack nervously grinned briefly before admitting while removing her hat in shame.
“Maybe now would be a good time to start.” Twilight suggested as she placed her hat back on her head.
“Doesn't hurt to.” Kion agreed while approaching her. “Now where is she so we know where to look?”
“Outside currently playing soccer seeing that today is a Thursday.” Ono answered. “And if my hunch is correct, she’s probably playing one on one with Fuli today.”
“Fuli’s there?” Kion asked feeling very delighted to hear that.
“Yep.” Ono nodded before wondering. “And if I may ask why are you so eager to meet her?”
“Nothing, other than she along with Rainbow are the only ones I know I have yet to meet here.” Kion quickly answered while avoiding eye contact to avoid being seen sporting a light blush.
“Really?” Ono quirked a brow at his direction feeling something is off here. “You’d never seen her here before?”
“Nope.” He shook his head while his cheeks returned to normal color while Twilight, Spike, and Bunga snickered from behind. “Never before.”
“Are you sure…” Ono was still puzzled. “…because I thought I did see you here before at least…” He shuddered when a terrifying thought occurred. “…never mind, sorry.” He quickly moved to throw up in a nearby trash can.
“Doing okay, Ono?” Kion asked feeling very concerned for him.
“Yep, it happens when I think of something very disgusting and horrifying.” He replied while briefly moving his head up to ensure he’s not too far from the bin yet far enough to be able to speak directly to the pre-teenager. “I’d sure feel sorry for the next guy who feels the same thing as me.”
“It runs both ways, buddy.” The boy with a darker shade of colors remarked while gently patting the queasy feeling boy on the back.
After Ono was feeling better, and Kion, Twilight, and Bunga, all changed out of their disguise clothes, everyone all made their way to the soccer field where Rainbow Dash’s human counterpart along with Fuli currently practicing soccer together where Rainbow is currently kicking a soccer ball into the goal guarded by Fuli in front of her. She aimed and kicked the ball right to where she thinks Fuli wouldn’t be able to dodge her. But Fuli being just as quick as her was able to catch it before it crossed the goal line.
The two were equally matched when it comes to playing each other and have both traded games with no margin of a clear edge from either one of the girls
Rainbow was seen wearing a white T-shirt with a rainbow lightning bolt on it, with a short sleeved blue jacket, a magenta skirt with white stripes, knee length rainbow colored socks to match her hair and wristbands, and blue knee length boots.
Fuli had a darker color shade of skin, black short tomboyish hair, on a white tank top, a yellow jacket with black spots on it, black athletic short shorts with yellow stripes on the sides, black tights with matching color running shoes,
Once the two were at another stalemate, Applejack decided now’s a good time to walk up to them to talk to Rainbow to clear up the misunderstanding while her friends are watching from the nearby benches.
“They're actually talking! That's a good sign!” Rarity noted from their understanding expressions before they both shared a hug together.
“Hugs! Ooh, hugs are always good!” Pinkie said in excitement seeing this sight rekindling sight.
“Somebody, and I think we can all guess who, told Rainbow Dash that my bake sale had been moved to a different day. Dash showed up with all the softball team and thought I'd cancelled on her!” Applejack explained to the girls of what really happened and how the wedge that broke their friendship happened before Rainbow and Fuli turn her attention to Twilight and Kion.
“So you two are lookin' to dethrone Sunset Shimmer and become Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal, huh?” Rainbow asked them who both nodded in response.
“That’s right.” Twilight nodded to confirm it.
“That’s us.” Kion also nodded.
“And I got to say that’s pretty brave of you both.” Fuli commended before voicing her support for them. “In fact, we’d really love to see that happen.”
“Me too, I'll totally help you out!” Rainbow also offered as she kicked up a soccer ball and repeatedly bounced it on her knee while bouncing it to her friend. “All you gotta do is beat me and Fuli in a game of two-on-two.”
“Huh? What?” Kion was left surprised by this proposition.
“Yep! First to five goals wins. 1-0!” Fuli said while back-kicking the ball into goal so fast the ball was on fire when it hit the net.
“Hey! No fair!” Twilight complained before running on over onto the field ready to accept their challenge.
Kion gulped nervously however, due to what’s at stake in this little quick match-up since both Fuli and Rainbow are both faster than both of them combined but moved onto the field upon seeing that there is a lot at stake to the point he can’t refuse that challenge. So he has to try.
“Come on Kion! You too Twilight! Woo-hoo!” Bunga cheered loudly.
“Good luck.” Beshte called out to them as they take their positions on the field while Ono watches anxiously to see how this turns out hoping it’s not a complete shutout due to how well both Fuli and Rainbow work together as a super-speedy team.
Fuli kicks the ball to Rainbow Dash who runs up to the goal ready to make it 2-0. Kion was left shaking his legs as he braces for the balls impact and to his relief, Twilight was there to back him up by performing a charging and leaping spin kick to stop the ball before it could go in the net.
She then did a flip over Rainbow and moved to quickly kick into the net so hard that purple and black colored flames were produced when it hurled towards the net.
“Whoa!” Fuli ducked to avoid getting hit and burned by the impact of the ball when it hit the net, thus tying the game 1-1.
Both Rainbow and Fuli shared surprised looks upon seeing that this girl’s got fight in her before turning to each other with a nod that they need to step up their game.
Now both Twilight and Kion switch to allow the latter the chance to dribble the ball.
Kion tried to dribble the ball across the field towards the other goal that Rainbow is guarding but Fuli easily took it away before kicking it into the other net after Twilight was able to react fast enough to catch it. Rainbow and Fuli up 2-1.
Now it’s time for the two to switch with Twilight back on the field with Fuli on the field for a change to try to shake things up.
The dark haired girl saw the speedy girl coming her way, so she choose to swing left with her opponent going that way to match and go for the steal. But Twilight having accounted for that quick swerved a hard right before running off leaving Fuli to have slide and drag her foot across the ground to avoid falling over.
With Twilight’s eyes on the goal, with Rainbow ready for her she aimed like she is going to hit to her left and tricked her into leaping in that direction so she can kick in the opposite side. With the ball kicked into the net for another goal. It’s now tied 2-2.
“Okay, this girl’s not only got some moves but knows how to ready minds too.” Fuli thought to herself just when she and Twilight move to switch places on the field.
Kion is once again given another chance he dribbles the ball to his goalpost and it really looked like he had a chance to shine by scoring a goal the closer he got to the net. He was briefly left wondering why Fuli looks very prepared yet somewhat relaxed. The question in his mind was answered when Rainbow stole the ball when she least expected it when she kicked the ball under her legs and kicks into the goal where Twilight least expected it to go. Now it’s 3-2, Rainbow and Fuli.
With Twilight back on the field, whether it’s Fuli or Rainbow she would always manage to outsmart them no matter how fast they are and managed to keep it a close game tying it every time.
Yet every time Kion tries to put up some good moves, his opponents both manage to steal the ball every time and manages to kick the ball into the net where Twilight would least expect it before it all came down to the last play with the score tied 4-4.
Kion managed to run the ball past Fuli and looked prime for a game winning kick before he accidentally lost his footing and lost control of the ball before it rolled toward Rainbow Dash waiting for it. Now with the game under her control now she swung her biggest kick on the ball high up in the air to the point where Twilight couldn’t reach that high to prevent it from going through the net. With that shot, that was game, Rainbow and Fuli win 5-4.
While Rainbow Dash jumps and down victoriously before running over to high five her teammate, Kion on the other hand is catching his breath and lying on the field in defeat while Twilight walks around with her hands on her knees feeling like she got a workout out of it yet feeling out-classed by a superior team.
“That’s game.” Rainbow told the two as she faced over them with the others approaching them.
“Oh, so close!”
“So breath-taking!”
“I don’t think I’ve seen any pair go toe to toe with the best of the best before.”
Bunga, Ono, and Beshte all commented in their efforts to cheer them (especially Kion) up after coming up so close yet so short.
“Wow! I really thought you were going to pull it off there in the end!” Rarity said in her efforts to join in to no avail as Kion is still feeling a little stung by the outcome.
“So what’s the plan?” Fuli asked both Kion and Twilight them while knelling down to the former’s eye level to help him on her feet. “How can we help you be prince and princess instead of Sunset Shimmer?”
“But...we... lost!” Kion exclaimed unable to comprehend why they are still going to help them.
“Of course you lost. I'm awesome! We’re awesome at sports!” Rainbow stated while turning to Fuli. “Especially when we work together! But point being, we’re not gonna help just anybody try and beat Sunset Shimmer. The Fall Formal Prince and Princess should be someone with heart and determination. You two proved us that you've got 'em both!”
“Now get on over here before I change my mind!” Fuli told them with open arms ready for them to hug it out much like the cheetah back home.
Like human like cheetah, now is the rare exception to where she’ll allow hugs for special friends they hold dear to and both Kion and Twilight felt they had to make good on her offer since they both really earned it.
Kion smiled hearing that while the two both each give him and Twilight elbow nudges to her shoulder as the whole group cheers as they all hug it out with Fuli hugging Kion and Rainbow hugging Twilight while the rest of their friends cheer that they have everyone on board now ready to take down Sunset Shimmer.
Speaking of said person, she along with her lackeys were secretly spying on their conversation while secretly video-taping them playing soccer while evilly smiling that she now has a new plan to care of her in order to halt their bids for the crowns.

Later that day, the group discusses of how to get Kion and Twilight to win Prince and Princess of Fall Formal at the nearby coffee shop over smoothies.
The human version of Mrs. Cake is just putting whipped cream and strawberries on both of Kion and Twilight’s smoothies.
“And can I get mine with extra strawberries?” Twilight asked of her.
“Sure thing, dearie.” Mrs. Cake happily replied before adding on the requested extra toppings on her smoothie. “And how about you two dearies can I interest you in some extra strawberries or some raspberries or blueberries?
“Blueberries please!” Bunga eagerly stated.
“Can get mine mixed?” Kion asked.
“Of course.” She nodded while adding a mixed assortment of berries into his while adding blueberries into Bunga’s.
With their drinks made to their liking the three made their over to meet up with the other’s…
…only for both Kion and Twilight to both accidentally bump into two strangers both a guy and a girl respectively with the impact accidentally spilling their drinks on them.
“Oh!”
“Aah! My suit!”
The guy who Twilight accidentally bumped into was Flash Sentry’s human counterpart while the girl that Kion had bumped into was the girl he came across earlier today.
“Oh, I am so sorry!” Twilight apologized.
Flash managed to take the accident in stride. “Oh! We've got to stop bumping into each other like this.” He said with a smile as he wiped the spill off of his shirt before they find themselves grabbing the mug at the exact same time much to their surprise as they separate themselves from each other while trying to avoid coming across as flirting or hitting with each other while grinning at each other.
“We definitely should.” Twilight agreed while casually using some nearby napkins to wipe the spilled juice off of her jacket, shirt, and skirt. “If that’s possible.”
The two looked aside and at each other while grinning like dorks before walking off in opposite directions.
The other girl however was very upset as she looks on what spilled on her jacket, skirt, and dress shirt.
“Hevi Kabisa! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to bump into like that!” Kion attempted to ease things up by trying the clean up the stains on her outfit. “Here, let me help you…”
“No thanks! You’ve already done enough for one day!” She assertively refused while turning to Mrs. Cake. “I would like my smoothie to go, thank you!”
“Sure thing, dearie!” She nodded before whipping out a drink carrier for her along with an old apron so she can cover up and protect her delicate suit for the walk back home. “And here’s this for the walk over in case you bump into anyone else.”
“Thanks.” She thanked with a tone of politeness as she sighed before walking out of the shop.
“What just happened?” Kion sighed still very dismayed that it happened again while moving to join the others gathered at one big table. “Every time we cross paths, I wind up getting yelled at her for something that was an accident.” He said to himself out loud enough for the Mane Five and the Pony Guard crew to hear him.
“I’m sure she’s just upset is all, Kion. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.” Beshte assured with a gentle smile.
“But who was that girl?” Kion still couldn’t help but ask.
“That’s Rani, darling.” Rarity answered. “She’s one of the new transfer students from a far away school. She came here just about the same time Fuli, Bunga, Beshte, and Ono transferred here as part of the school’s foreign exchange program.” She then turns to Twilight eyeing Flash with a loving spark in her eyes before giving her the look against pursing him. “Don't even think about it! You and Kion are both already trying to get her crowns. Who knows what Sunset Shimmer would do if you ended up getting her ex-boyfriend too?”
“I'm not trying to. We just accidentally...” Twilight tried to explain she isn’t trying to and barely knows him before stopping upon what she just said. “Ex-boyfriend?”
“Flash Sentry broke up with her a few weeks ago. I can't believe she hasn't done something awful to him yet.” Fluttershy explained to her as they watch him purchase a smoothie and then walk over to take his seat so he can enjoy his drink while lovely gazing at Twilight’s direction.
“Probably because the heartbreak she gave him was bad enough.” Fuli theorized while seeing through the girl’s crush on the boy.
“Or maybe she's just waiting until she has the power to do something really awful.” Twilight added in on her thoughts.
“Maybe.” Fuli nodded while thinking it could be possible too.
“All right, girls.” Applejack stood up with determination on wanting to focus on the task at hand. “Dance is tomorrow night, and we still don't know how we're gonna get Twilight and Kion the votes they need to be named princess and prince. Right now, folks only know the Twilight and Kion from the videos Sunset Shimmer posted online.” She then placed her hands on them both. “We need to help 'em see them differently.”
The girls and boys all ponder of how they are going to do just when Rarity suddenly thinks of one.
“I'VE GOT IT!” She shouted as she stood up drawing the entire crowd’s attention towards her which she then blushes and smiles in embarrassment after realizing her outburst. “Ahem. I mean, um, perhaps I have a solution.” She said as she regained her composure and walked over to her bag.
“And what might that be? Another flattering disguise for them so nobody would recognize them?” Fuli sarcastically asked. “How is that supposed to work?”
“It won’t and it’s not that.” Rarity quickly responded while shaking her head before getting things back on track with her proposal by pulling out what she needed from her backpack. “Now this may be an absolutely preposterous idea, but what if we all wore these as a sign of unity?” She proposed as she held antennas with pony ears with a blue furred pony tail with a yellow streak in the middle as everyone tries to understand her approach. “Freshman year, they were very, very popular. A way for everybody to show their school spirit! You know? "Go, Canterlot Wondercolts!"” She cheered and jumped into the air to demonstrate before clearing her throat again and then pulled out the antennas to her friends and put them all on their heads. “Ahem. I haven't sold any of these in ages. I mean, the five of us are obviously very different, along with the four of you since you all came from a different school, but deep down, we're all Canterlot Wondercolts! Sunset Shimmer is the one who divided us, Twilight Sparkle and Kion are the ones who united us. And we're gonna let everyone know it! What do you think?” She asked the two as she put their antenna on their heads while the other girls, Beshte, and Ono all smile approvingly at the idea with Applejack and Bunga both giving a thumb’s up while Spike looks on at Rarity with hearts filled in his eyes looking on at his crush who hugs them both to assure her that this will work wonders.
“Sounds good to me.” Twilight agreed to go along with her idea while looking at Kion for his opinion on the matter.
“What have we got to lose?” Kion shrugged on board with the idea himself.
“Try not to jinx it darling.” Rarity cautioned while still smiling and hugging him and Twilight.
“And if I may…” Ono spoke up while pulling something from his backpack. Red antennas with red spiky hair on them and yellow bushy tail antennas for Fuli, Beshte, Bunga One, Bunga Two, and himself to wear to signify the Lion Guard unity at the same time the Mane Five came to be unified thanks to both Kion and Twilight. “…a little something to represent our newly found unity together. Much like the Canterlot Wonderbolts, back where we came from, we were known as the Pride Lander Lions in honor of the man who founded that school, Principal Mufusa.”
"Mufusa?" Kion asked in an astonished tone upon the mention of his grandfather's name serving as an inspiration to the kids that have come to his school yet silently thinking of so many questions in regards to him in this world along with his father and grand uncle's current occupations and lives.
"Yes sir!" Ono nodded in response. "A wise man who ran that school until the day he left to travel the world as an ambassador for world peace and balance."
“I love it!” Rarity quickly smiled with bright eagerness to try out it.
“Let’s give it a try, shall we?” Twilight smiled approvingly along with Kion.
“Let’s.” He nodded back ready to see this world’s Lion and Pony Guard come together to help their founder’s in their bids for their crowns.
The next day, while everyone is having lunch with all of the students in their respective groups, Rarity and Beshte while wearing their sweaters with the school’s logo with the latter wearing one that’s yellow and red with the Mark of the Guard on it, both put on their antennas with pony ears on as they take their seat at her table with their lunches. At the same time, Rainbow Dash does the same while wearing the same sweater too at her table along with Fuli.
Pinkie who is currently in line getting lunch alongside Bunga both nod at each other while putting on their antennas. They both used the empty trays they were holding and then tapped on the table to a beat which is followed by Rarity and Beshte tapping their feet onto the ground and clapping her hands together. Followed by Fluttershy and Ono tapping the table with empty glasses, along with Applejack and other Bunga tapping her hands on the table they were sitting at and clapping their hands together to get everybody’s attention.
In a nearby corner, Spike while sitting in Twilight’s backpack turns on the music from the stereo in front of him where then the music stereo turned to a tune to which the Lion Guard crew minus (Kion and Bunga from Equestria of course)all stood up when the music started playing and they each took turns singing parts of the accompanying song.
Music paused at 2:24 while the music turns over to another tune to where everyone from the Lion and Pony Guard all march their way towards the center of the room

They sang as they made poses together before singing and dancing at a slightly faster pace and in perfect sync with each other like Applejack and Rainbow Dash, both Bunga’s butt bumped each other at the same time Pinkie and Fluttershy did, while Ono and Rainbow both face Pinkie and Bunga with matching smiles.

They all sang as others students happily listened to the tune with Pinkie and Applejack running up to the table hand in hand at the same time Bunga and Beshte ran up in the parallel direction, while Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash danced together with both Fuli and Ono doing the same, in addition, Rarity and other Bunga placing their hands on another student wearing glasses and talking on his phone at that time.
One of the students wearing glasses starts recording the sing and dance on his phone as Rainbow Dash and Fuli both stood on the top of a chairs opposite from each other at the table they were standing on. Their chairs tilted downwards and landed on the ground with both girls still standing unfazed by what happened while being recorded by said student while Applejack and Bunga pull off the shades off of the DJ kids they were standing next to respectively.

Pinkie and the two Bunga all sang together as they all yelled through megaphones in someone’s face then raised a student’s hands into the air before dancing and spinning around.

Bunga and Beshte both sang together.
“Laughter, kindness, loyalty.”
Applejack sang.
“Speed, Fierceness, Keen-Sighted.”
Both Fuli and Ono sang together.

Fluttershy sang as she placed her hands on Pinkie and Applejack.
“All that we can be!” Rainbow Dash sang as she proudly stood on top of the table Pinkie, Applejack, and Rarity were sitting in front of.

The girls and boys all sang together as they marched and danced around the cafeteria.
Both Rainbow and Rarity shook their hips while dancing alongside Fuli and Bunga. Both Pinkie and Fluttershy ran around the tables along with Ono. Applejack and Beshte tilted two students chairs for them to lean back and really watch the show just when Pinkie and Rarity opened the doors to introduce everybody to both Twilight Sparkle and Kion wearing their sweaters as they both make their entrance.

Twilight sang as she walked inside the cafeteria as Flash Sentry played on his guitar a fitting riff to the tune of the song.

Kion sang as both he and Twilight jumped onto one of the tables as the rest of her friends circled around the table.

The girls and boys all sang as they danced on tables, jumped, spun around, as they danced encouraging the other students to clap their hands as the band students play on their guitars and drums playing music to the beat.

The girls danced as Twilight danced nearby Flash Sentry playing on his guitar while Pinkie tosses out antenna and tails so everybody can wear pony-like ears on their heads and tails on their backs in support of their school’s mascot and colors as all of the students dance and sing to the beat wearing ears and tails.
At the same time, Kion danced nearby the girl Rani, while handing her a smoothie along with a note that says. “Sorry for bumping into the other day. I just hope we can be friends going forward.”

Just when the song everyone was just getting all dancing to the beat and then moved to keep standing when the music from the first song played just when both Bunga and Pinkie both hand Kion and Twilight the hand made crowns that Sunset had originally planned to use for her attempted switch up during her attempted theft of the actual crowns. The two moved to step off of the tables they were standing on so their friends can place them on their heads before moving to rise and stand up on the same table together with Twilight helped Kion up first before joining him.
Everyone all cheered and then moved to bow down to their future Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal just when a bright yellow beam of sunshine from the nearby windows glowed over the two ideal candidates filled with heart and determination along with fierceness, bravery, speed, strength, and keen sight. Just the qualifications that everyone is truly looking for in the two leaders of the Lion and Pony Guard.
Just outside of the cafeteria, Sunset Shimmer watches in dismay seeing that they all managed to turn things around while catching her lackeys dancing to the beat while wearing the ears and tails too.
“Take those off!” Sunset commanded them as they immediately did so while grinning like idiots. “I have something I need you to do.” Sunset then instructed them with her new plan…

After lunch, the school bell rang once more with students walking through the halls again now all wearing antennas with pony ears and blue and red tails on their backs tied up around their waists all clearly inspired to vote for Kion and Twilight Sparkle to become the Fall Formal prince and princess.
“Doesn't everyone look just fabulous?” Rarity spoke delighted while admiring the scenery.
“Very patriotic if I might add!” Ono said feeling very pleased with how his taste in color worked out.
“It was a great idea, Rarity!” Kion complimented with a smile.
“Well done you two!” Twilight also complimented while smiling too.
Applejack’s smile alongside her friends however dropped upon seeing Sunset Shimmer and her lackeys approach them.
“Don't know what she's smilin' about.” Applejack commented upon seeing Sunset smugly and evilly grinning once more. “Twilight's the one that's gonna be Princess of the Fall Formal.”
“And Kion is also sure to win being Prince of the Fall Formal.” Bunga added in agreement why very directing a suspicious frown at the girl.
“What is she up to now?!” His human counterpart added in the same tone and expression just when Snips and Snails give gloating gestures to the whole gang mainly directed at both Kion and Twilight.
His question would be answered when Sunset walks up and knocked on someone’s door. The door opened to reveal the human version of Luna answering it.
“Vice Principal Luna! Something terrible has happened!” Sunset alerted with her hands clasped together and on her knees sounding innocently as everyone eyes at her suspiciously.
Luna all ears to what Sunset had to say lead her away from her office to someplace to where she had laid out another plan to take care of her opponents.
“What was that all about?!” Kion asked personally confused and worried what underhanded tactics Sunset is playing on them.
“I don’t know.” Ono replied while narrowing his eyes at the girl. “But I’m going to find out.”
Ono moved to run after them (while keeping himself from being seen of course) where the two make their way to the gym which is now trashed. Tables and furniture were knocked over and broken, punch and juice spilled all over the floors, streamers and balloons were ripped and popped.
“Oh my…” Ono gasped while watching the two observe the damage inside.
“Isn't this just awful?” Sunset commented to the vice principal with faux horror. “And after Pinkie Pie worked so hard to make things so perfect! Why would Twilight Sparkle and her friend Kion do something like this?” She then accused to which Ono gasped at.
“What?!”
“Why would you think Twilight and Kion were both responsible for something like this?” Luna inquired finding it hard to believe.
“Because I have proof.” Sunset said still sounding sad while presenting her a folder containing fabricated photos inside of them.
Just while this was happening, both Flash Sentry and Rani have both moved to watch unnoticed from behind the open doors.
“Hapana!” Ono silently gasped before he finds his mouth covered and body pulled away just when the vice principal leaves the gym so she can discipline Twilight for Sunset’s actions.
“Shhh!” Rani whispered seriously at the orange-haired boy. “Unless you want us to get caught and risk having both Twilight and Kion have zero chance at winning the crowns.”
“Huh?” Ono was left dumbfounded.
“I was walking by the gym while everyone was having lunch. I had realized I had left my textbook for my next class in my locker.” She recalled walking by there just recently. “But on my way over I heard someone trashing the place.” She moved to pull out her phone to record the perpetrators in the act. “It was none other than Snips and Snails…” She watched and recorded the two dimwits in the act while watching them use baseball bats to wreck the tables while flipping them over before wildly popping the balloons and ripped the streamers.
“Oh, ho, oh, yeah! Trashed baby! Trashed!” Snails loudly declared after they got done with their vandalism.
“Yeah!” His partner proudly agreed. “Now Sunset Shimmer can frame Twilight and Kion and ensure she’ll win the crown for being Princess of the Fall Formal.”
The two high-fived each other before quickly running off towards the back exit to avoid being seen while unaware of the video proof that the formal dressed student now has.
“Not to mention I also found these in a trash can in the library to help back that up.” Flash added while showing him the contents inside the folder.
Ono observed and examined them just when Sunset was exiting the gym feeling superior and triumphant of her victory in framing Twilight while passing by and walking away. Luckily for him, Rani pulled him out of her sight again before ducking behind the doors again allowing all three of them to avoid being seen by the smug fiery red-head walking away and turning the corner.
“We better get on over to Vice Principal Luna’s office before it’s too late!” Flash declared with determination not to let her crush be disqualified for something she didn’t do.
“Let’s.” Rani stated feeling the same way before they all ran off together in the opposite direction to where Luna’s office is located.
As much as Ono really wanted to question the reason for the dismissive lady’s sudden reason for wanting to help the boy she had just turned away for accidentally bumping into her twice they had no time for question’s since their friend’s bid for the crowns is at sudden stake.
The three all arrived at Luna’s office just in time to hear both Twilight and Kion being interrogated by her in regards to the evidence Sunset has produced.
“But... But I don't understand!” Kion expressed very shocked and baffled at what they are accused of as Luna looks out of her office window.
“This is clearly you two in the photographs, is it not?” Vice Principal Luna explained as she showed them the photographs made to look like both he and Twilight trashed the gym from when they were both playing soccer along with more of Twilight’s smirks of her being mean and devious.
Twilight examined the photos while Kion is still stunned unable to compose himself to explain himself better.
“Yes, but...” The latter started before being cut off.
“I think it should be fairly obvious that the school cannot let someone who would do something like this compete for the Fall Formal crown.” Vice Principal Luna sternly said to them.
“Vice Principal Luna, there’s two problems with this theory…” Twilight calmly and quickly pointed out while standing up from her chair. “For starters…” She explained while peeling the cut out images of them playing soccer from the trashed gym. “…this is “evidence” is fabricated.” Luna walked over to examine the falsified evidence. “…and since it sounds like this happened during lunch, how could we have done it when we were at lunch with most of the students at that time? I mean, you can ask many students who were there, I’m sure they’ll vouch for us.”
“And they sure will…” Rani spoke up while entering the office after knocking on the door along with Flash and Ono leaving Kion absolutely astonished by her sudden appearance.
“Sorry to interrupt, Vice Principal Luna, but we have proof that clears their names.” She said as Flash went first in handing her the photos he found.
Also, I found these in a trash can in the library. Someone obviously combined these photos to make it look like Twilight was the one who trashed the gym.”
“And in addition…” Rani presented her the video recording of the culprits who really did. “…I also managed to catch the real vandals in action.” She showed her the video of them destroying everything inside along with their little confession.
“Oh, ho, oh, yeah! Trashed baby! Trashed!”
“Yeah! Now Sunset Shimmer can frame Twilight and Kion and ensure she’ll win the crown for being Princess of the Fall Formal.”
“Hmm….” Luna said before speaking her response. “I appreciate you two bringing these to my attention, Flash, Rani.” She thanked before sitting back in her chair. “In light of this new evidence, you two may of course continue your bid to be crowned the Princess of the Fall Formal.”
Kion was very grateful and enlightened yet really amazed that she was quick to save him from trouble to the point he rushed over to shake her hand and the same time Twilight moves to shake Luna’s hand before moving to gently hug Flash as thanks for helping clear their names.
“Thank you both!” Kion expressed with great relief. “You have no idea how important this is to me! To us!”
Rani while willing to tolerate the hand shaking, moved to politely get the boy to stop. “You’re welcome, Kion. Just call it a token of my appreciation for you and your friend’s efforts to dethroning Sunset Shimmer.”
“I mean what was I gonna do?” Flash added feeling humble of his good deed when Twilight breaks apart from their hug. “Not prove your innocence? Wouldn't be much of a Canterlot Wondercolt, would I? Or a Pride Land lion, for that matter.” He said with a grin while Twilight looks aside for a moment with a slight blush as she twirled with her hair before recomposing herself.
“And we really appreciate it. Thanks, Flash. You too, Rani.” Twilight warmly said to them while Ono watches on with a teasing smirk from behind upon seeing the stoic girl show some emotion in front of a guy she obviously has a crush on.
“I am afraid enough damage has been done to the gym that we will have to postpone the dance until tomorrow night. If you will excuse me, I need to let my sister know about this latest development and make sure that the proper discipline is handed out to the ones truly responsible for this mess.” Vice Principal Luna told the three as she rose from her chair and leaves her office.
With this latest development, that would mean Sunset is disqualified from competing and that both Kion and Twilight are both a lock for the desired titles and crowns as long as they both show up well-dressed for the upcoming event.
“Looks like we all know what that means.” Ono said to the four smiling.
“We sure do.” Twilight nodded before turning to Kion. “Now all we have to do is just show up to the Fall Formal, retrieve our crowns, and make our way back home.”
“Sounds good to me.” Kion for the moment returned feeling pleased to hear it himself.
And both Flash and Rani have both had thoughts of who they want to go to the Formal already with the latter taking a little more consideration after processing her thought about giving the boy a second chance.
“So, uh, I was wondering. If you aren't already going with somebody, wanna go to the Fall Formal with me tomorrow night?” Flash first offered to Twilight.
And it didn’t take too much thought for Twilight to give her response. “I would love too, Flash. I really would.” She accepted while smiling earnestly and holding his hands while Kion and Ono both watch on with the former still stunned and perplexed by seeing this side of Twilight like it’s rare for her to show emotion nowadays.
“So…” Rani gestured her hands towards Kion expecting him to ask her out. “…Did you have a question for me?”
Kion snapped out of his brief distraction on Twilight and Flash’s moment before snapping to attention. “Huh, Ooh!” He realized what she’s seeking. “You really mean it?” The sharp-dressed girl nodded.
“Go for it.” She gestured him again to pop the question while the others watch ready to watch him do so.
“Well….” Kion said feeling delighted himself before doing so. “Would you...” He then stopped mid-sentence upon remembering Luna’s statement in regards to the Fall Formal. “Tomorrow night!? Hevi Kabisa! The portal! That'll be too late!” He exclaimed in panic before running off everyone behind.
“I could have accepted a simple "no" in response!” Rani called out to him feeling irritated by his hasty dash away while everyone walks out of the office.
“It’s okay, don’t take it personal.” Twilight spoke on his behalf quick to clear up the misunderstanding. “It’s just he’s running on an important deadline and really needed the Fall Formal to happen tonight.”
“What kind of deadline tonight?” Rani inquired with a suspicious look towards the dark-haired girl.
“Would you believe me if I told you I’m a pony princess and Kion's a lion prince from an alternate world here to retrieve two crowns that belong to me and my friend that we both need by tonight in order to go back home to avoid a life-threatening catastrophe for both here and there?” Twilight calmly asked.
The three all shared a surprised look towards each other to what she just confessed to them before Ono first spoke up. “Wait! You’re saying you’re from an alternate world?!”
“That is correct.” Twilight again admitted.
“And a pony princess along with a lion prince!” Rani asked looking amazed at the bravery she was showing in telling them the truth like this.
“Yes.”
“And what kind of role to play back there?” Flash inquired with a teasing grin. “The lead protector of the realms from danger.”
“Yes.” She repeated though slightly flustered of the way he asked her like he is really catching onto to her slight crush on him.
“And what about me?” Ono asked with a tone of hope. “Do I play the role of the team’s special smart guy with a keen sight or something?”
“Yes.” She repeated a little more composed than last time.
“All right!” Rani nodded feeling very impressed. “We believe you!”
“You do?”
“Of course.” She confirmed while recalling watching them through the past three days just when she was simply strolling by. “I had a feeling there was something different about you and Kion from what I saw the past three days. From seeing that you and your two friends are all acting like fishes out of water here, constantly running around like you are in a hurry, using the occasional use of the terms every pony instead of everybody, the sixth sense, also seeing there were Two Bunga’s in the same room together.”
“Oh, yeah.” Twilight laughed. “What are the odds of that happening?”
“Next to impossible!” Ono joined in on the laugh.
“You’re right about that!” Rani said before finding herself joining in on the group laughter.
After a few good seconds of laughing with Flash and Ono both wiping the forming tears from their eyes, they all calmed themselves down before getting back on track with their discussion at hand.
“But seriously though…” Rani calmed herself down before continuing. “…Two Bunga’s in the same room and world. That's impossible.”
“Yeah I know.” Twilight acknowledged with a shrug. “But you saw it. You’re not dreaming. And most importantly, you’re not crazy. So it’s all real and possible.”
“Okay, okay...” She accepted that response with a chuckle. “…anyways, enough said. If we’re going to be help you and Kion out, we need to get the Fall Formal to go on as planned for tonight, which means you’re going to need more help in getting things prepared.” She then pulls out a card from her coat pocket. “Lucky for you two, the president of the national honors society is here to help you out.”
Twilight smiled with satisfaction seeing that things are still on track for what she and Kion need in order to ensure order in both worlds.
Meanwhile, on the contrary to the calm and collected girl, her partner at that moment has a panicked and devastated expression as he retreats to the clothing store where the rest of his friends and human friends are all inside. Once inside he made a mad dash inside one of fitting rooms before placing his backpack on the stool inside before sliding down with her back leaning against the wall in despair.
“Everything okay in there?” Rarity asked from the other side of the curtain having clearly seen his troubled face.
“Yes!” Kion answered just when Bunga slides under the opening so he can talk to him.
“Expect…” Bunga seriously asked seeing that his best friend is greatly distressed right now.
“Only it's not okay. It's not okay at all! If I don't get our crown’s back tonight, we won't be able to go back to Equestria for another thirty moons! They’ll be left defenseless without us to protect from the threat of Scar!” He buried his hands into his face with the very thought of the pain and suffering his evil grand uncle has in store for everyone as if what he did to Twilight wasn’t bad enough. “I don’t know what to do now!”
His friend was left pausing in thought while trying to think of what they can do in order to turn things around. “Hmm….” He tapped a finger on his chin before pointing his finger up with an idea. “How about we you know, tell them the truth. Let them know of what's on the line if you don’t get those crowns back tonight. I’m sure they’ll help us out if you did.”
Kion wasn’t very quick to accept that. “But what if they won't? What if when they find out how different I really am...? What if they reject me?” He said feeling torn while turning back to look at himself in a mirror which showed his lion form for a moment.
“Pfft!” Bunga scoffed it off. “Come on, Kion! They won’t reject you! I mean you’re the leader of the Lion Guard! The lion that helps protect every animal and pony and leads us all into the thick of danger whenever there’s someone in need of our help. How could they not accept you for who you are?”
Kion tried to come with a counter response…only to remain answer-less in response to what he just said to him. For once, Bunga raised some pretty valid points, and that they have no reason to reject him or treat him any differently just because he happens to be from another world. Good friends treat each other equally no matter what and that’s exactly what he needed to hear.
“Bunga…” Kion finally spoke calmly. “…that’s…so true.” He finished and admitted.
“So very true!” Bunga stated with a friendly nudge before having his friend place and hand on his back.
“I'm glad you followed me here, Bunga.”
“Me too. Unless, of course, we get stuck here for another thirty moons.”
With an agreement made, of what to do, the two both emerged from the dressing room where they are met with the concerned looks from everyone.
“You okay?” Applejack asked him.
“The Fall Formal isn't happening tonight.” Kion began.
“WHAT?! WHY?!” Both Pinkie and Human Bunga exclaimed in unison.
“It had to be postponed because Sunset Shimmer had Snips and Snails ruin all of Pinkie Pie's decorations.” Kion continued.
“WHAT?! WHY?!” The two repeated in further shock.
“But the Fall Formal has to happen tonight.” Kion added.
“Wha–!” The two were about to exclaim for the third time in a row before being cut off by Applejack and Fuli placing their hands over their mouths.
“You read my mind.” Applejack said in approval to the girl getting the same idea.
“They were really getting on my nerves.” Fuli replied with an irritated expression.
It took some courage for Kion to find the strength to speak up and confess. “You see...” He was about to explain…
…when Pinkie moved her mouth in a rapid fire rant.
“You're from an alternate world and you're a lion prince there and the crown actually has a magical element embedded in it that helps power up your special powerful roar and other magical elements, and without it, they don't work anymore, and you need them to help protect your magical world, and if you don't get the crown tonight, you'll be stuck in this world and you won't be able to get back for, like, a really, really long time!” She then widely grinned while Kion and Bunga were both left slack-jawed in shock that he was able to figure it all out on her own.
“Un- Bunga-veilable!” Bunga gasped while silently amazed deep inside.
“Yeah, I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason.” Rainbow Dash said unconvinced while scratching the back of her head.
“Are you kidding?!” Bunga exlciamed very excited before proudly explaining his true self. “That’s exactly the reason! And back where I come from, I'm not even a human! I'm the brave honey badger and the Bravest of a team that we like to call back home that protects our home, the Lion Guard and Pony Guard!” He added with thumbs pointed towards his chest while boasting.
“Oh, really?” Fuli asked with a knowing smirk. “That brave huh?”
“You better believe it buster!” Bunga smugly remarked seeing she disappeared. “Fuli?” He is suddenly jump scared into falling backwards onto his back.
“BOO!”
“AAH!”
“Okay, all right…” Bunga admitted while getting up on his feet. “…Maybe not the bravest but definitely brave above average.”
It was then, Kion had managed to recover from his stunned silence. “How did you know all that?”
“Just a hunch.” Pinkie simply replied with a shrug passing it off as a lucky guess.
“Wait a minute! Lemme get this straight. You're a lion?” Applejack asked after briefly pinching her forehead in response to Pinkie’s antics.
“And a prince?” Rarity added equally surprised.
“And a leader of a team that protects your home?” Beshte also asked.
“Alongside Twilight who is…” Kion replied while sighing knowing how the fashionista is going to react. “…also a pony princess back in that world too.“
“Poa!”
“Oh my stars!”
Both Beshte and Rarity gasped with the latter squealing before falling onto her back while fainting dramatically.
Fuli shook her head in dismay yet used to it due to having said her react this way before.
“You, Bunga, and Twilight are from another world?” Fluttershy asked.
“Mm-hmm.“ Kion nodded while cringing and looking aside emitting a small gulp feeling fearful for the worst to come.
“That... is...” Rainbow began looking unimpressed while crossing her arms before finishing it up with “… awesome!” Rainbow smiling and raising her arms very excited with this revelation in light.
“Un-Bunga-veilable!” Human Bunga exclaimed in agreement.
“Hey that’s my line!” His double glared feeling offended.
“So is mine!” Other Bunga proudly argued. “Same lines, same quirks, same person and animal in blood!”
“Well…that’s…true…so true.” He admitted.
The girls and boys all gathered around the two in excitement with this discovery with Kion looking towards the Bunga that came alongside him who gives him a proud and slightly boastful smile.
“See? Told ya they’d accept you.”
And it was a great blessing for the boy who is feeling very glad for that and that it really worked out well for him.
Now it’s just a matter of undoing the damage Snips and Snails did to the gym in order to ensure that the Fall Formal goes on as planned tonight and that’s exactly what the group of ten friends did by making their way to the gym where they all got to see what transpired during lunch hour.
“I simply cannot believe they did all this!” Rarity was the first to express her disgust after eyeing the damage in shock.
“If I only had some kind of... party cannon that could decorate everything super fast!” Pinkie personally wished.
“Yeah, if only your pony self was here that could happen.” Bunga told her while leaning over to whisper to her. “She really does have one back there.”
“Really?”
“Oh yeah!”
“Anyways…” Kion spoke up while, surveying what’s in front of them. ”…I know it looks like a lot of work ahead of us, but maybe if we all work together we can get this mess cleaned up in a couple of hours. Wouldn’t you agree?”
Applejack was the first to say so in that regard. “Now that's the kinda can-do spirit I'm lookin' for in a Fall Formal Prince!”
“Along with a Fall Formal Princess.” Rani’s voice spoke with Twilight standing beside her along with Flash.
“You…” Kion spoke surprised to see the approaching woman again yet apologetic for running off on her like that. “…I’m so sorry, I…”
Rani interrupted him by pinching his lips together before speaking up. “It’s okay. Your friend explained everything to me of what’s really happening.”
“Everything?” Kion asked with his eyes slightly bugging out.
“Everything.” She confirmed leaving the pre-teenager to turn to Twilight for an explanation knowing that she told her the truth too.
“What?” Twilight asked with a shrug while approaching him. “Did you really expect me to run off without you giving yourself a chance to go with someone to the Fall Formal?” Kion looked aside feeling further foolish for the way he handled the situation back there, with Twilight giving him a friendly nudge in response. “So…” She spoke to everyone present while gesturing to the room around them. “Shall we get started?”
“Let's do it, y'all!”Applejack replied as she extended her hand out for the others join her with Twilight the first to do so.
“Absolutely!”
“Rock on!”
“Let’s do this!”
“Count me in!”
“Me too!”
“Yes, indeedily!”.
“Ready when you are!”
“Affirmative!”
“Yaaay!”
Rarity, Rainbow, Fuli, both Bunga’s, Pinkie, Beshtem Ono, and Fluttershy all declared before they all raised their hands together before leading everyone into doing the job with the hopes this can be done in the nick of time.
“It's time for us to come together

So come on and lend a helping hand.”
Twilight sang as she fetched brooms from the janitor’s closet and then tossed them to every one of the girls and boys.
Rainbow Dash caught hers and then twirled it around alongside Fuli who did the same while briefly playing sword fight with each other. Applejack caught hers while ready to work along with Beshte, Rarity just barely caught hers while holding it aside clearly disgusted that she has clean up the place with it along with Ono. Pinkie along with the two Bunga’s all excitably caught theirs, and Fluttershy was the only one who didn’t because she turned away feeling like it was going to hit her.
And as for Kion, Twilight personally handed it to him with a smile before getting started on her part in helping with the cleanup.
“Fix it up
Yeah, it's all right
We'll get it ready by tonight.”
The girls and boys all sang together as they all got to work sweeping up the place with Pinkie and both Bunga’s all happily bouncing up and down while sweeping alongside each other. At the same time Rarity and Ono both sweep together while looking away from the broom in disgust yet still smiling while Spike follows after the girl of his dreams with hearts in his eyes.

The girls all sang as Applejack and Beshte both each tossed a bag of garbage to their friends so it can make its way to the trash can both Pinkie and Human Bunga were holding up the lids for.
Fluttershy could only just barely catch and toss it to Rarity who quickly tosses to Rainbow Dash not wanting to hold it for more than a second at the same time Ono was quick to toss it to Fuli with tint shades of green on his face.
Both Fuli and Rainbow tossed the bags into the buckets like they making easy scores in playing basketball.
“It's time to show that we've got school spirit
Raise your voice and let everyone hear it.”
Pinkie, Bunga (from Equestria) , and Rainbow Dash sang as both Kion and Twilight work together to drag a table away just when two of the school athletes one with a muscular build and the other’s muscle a little more on the lean side come in to help carry over another table.
While they were both doing so both Applejack comes walking by effortlessly carrying one by herself while Beshte walks by carrying two on both shoulders much to the athletes surprise to which both Twilight and Kion found quite amusing together. After all, what did you expect from the Guard’s Strongest.
“It's time to show that we're strong
So come on, everybody, sing along.”
Rarity, Beshte, Ono, and Applejack all sang as both Bunga’s along with Pinkie got her hands and hair dirty sweeping up the place by literally using their heads and hair to do the sweeping. During which, both Bunga’s managed to obtain some leftover pizza on the floor that had some bugs on them before proceeding to devour them like it was no big deal.
Much to Ono and Rarity’s disgust with the former throwing up in a nearby trash can feeling very repulsed by the very sight of it.
“(Look...) Look how we've all come together
(Things...) Things are only just starting to get better.”
The girls and boys all sang as they see Rarity, Fluttershy, and Fuli all tossing decorations up onto the ceilings with the latter effortlessly landing every one of her tosses thanks to her time excelling in sports. During the prep, many students that Rani has gathered together all walked inside ready to pitch in in helping out.
Three girls who all admired their streamer tossing were quick to start tossing them. A boy with long hair and a mustache caught one of the small rolls after one of them didn’t throw it high enough. The trio all placed the remains around their heads as hair accessories and all placed their hands on him to share a good laugh over it.
After helping finishing place aside the tables, the muscular soccer player moved to help a student from the school’s math club carefully carry a stereo at the same time another is struggling to maintain his balance on the ladder while trying to set up the lights on the stage…
…At least until another student quickly moved to place his foot down on the bottom to help him keep his balance while giving him a hand gesture to assure him that it’s okay, to which the former was very grateful for.
Twilight overseeing this, smiled while crossing her arms while turning to see that Rani is going over her checklist in making sure that everything is well-organized before picking up a nearby trash bag so she can carry it out outside to the dumpster. While she was doing this she accidentally bumped into Kion’s head who was also carrying a bag full of trash.
The two both rubbed their heads in pain while both looking annoyed at each other at first before warming up with smiles before picking up their trash bags on the way to the dumpster together hand in hand.
Twilight smirked at the sight to which had Kion blushing when the former saw it. She then moved to sweep up the stage before accidentally bumping Flash Sentry adjusting his microphone for his band’s performance. Upon seeing who she bumped into she looked aside while blushing and noticing Kion return the same smirk she gave him just seconds ago before regrouping with Rani in taking out the trash.
“(Look...) Look how we've all come together
(Things...) Things are only gonna get better, better, better, better!”
The girls sang as many students all joined in on the preparations.
“(We... will...) Fix it up, yeah, it's all right
(Come... tonight, tonight...) We'll get it ready by tonight

The girls and boys continued to sing while some students were putting together and painting an arch and placing pumpkins around it at the same time the human counterpart of Photo Finish is properly adjusting her camera.

By the time their song came to an end, the last balloons were being filled with helium with the final touches to their disco ball being prepared before being hoisted up into the ceiling. At the same time, Twilight and Kion were all joined by the others who all placed their hands on each other’s shoulders seeing they have successfully got the place all set up and ready for Fall Formal to go on as originally planned.
“This... looks... sooooo... GOOD!” Pinkie exclaimed very excited.
“So totally Un-Bunga-veilable!” Both Bunga’s said in unison before laughing together.
It was a remarkable group effort to turn things around. In fact it was so remarkable that Principal Celestia herself clapped her hands to everyone with specific praise for both Twilight and Kion for leading everyone into making this happen with her sister standing by her side.
“All right, everyone! Fall Formal is back on for this evening.” She announced to everyone who all cheered upon hearing this. “So you'd better get out of here and start getting ready. Oh, and don't forget to cast your ballots for the Fall Formal Prince and Princess on your way out!” She instructed everyone to do so right away while everyone lines up to place their votes inside a box Luna held in her hands.
“You got my vote, Twilight. You too, Kion” One of the students told her as he made his way to vote while placing a ballot into the box with the others following suit.
“Mine, too!”
“Mine too!”
“Mine too!”
While all of the students were casting their ballots, Sunset watches from the closet on the opposite side of the gym with eyes of fury that her plan failed and backfired on her thanks to Rani and Flash’s proof catching them red-handed.
“You're lucky they were able to pull this off. Next time I ask you to make a mess of things, try to show a little restraint!” She scolded the two hiding inside with her before turning back everyone exiting the gym. “I need this Formal to go on tonight just as much as she does.” She sinisterly said with a new plan and approach to this even with everything that has happened.

Now that everything was all set up in preparation for tonight, the only thing left was for them all to get themselves ready for the occasion, which means it was time for everyone to get dressed up for the Fall Formal.
With Rarity and Ono’s taste and keen eye for fashion, nothing was going to stop them from finding the perfect outfits for their friends.
“This is our big night
We're getting ready
And we're doing it up right.”
Everyone sang as Fluttershy looked a green dress while Pinkie tried out pink, blue, orange, and yellow dresses for fitting as she looks at herself in the mirror.
At the same time, Bunga was also trying out various tuxedos ranging from blue, gray, black, and white to which he found all amazing yet unable to find it in his heart to choose a specific suit that fits his taste in style while Fuli was also looking and finding the idea of a green dress suiting for her.
“This is our big night

Now we'll start it out right.”
The girls and boys sang as Rainbow is forced to try on a dress, a pink and yellow pimped out dress much to her annoyance before being pushed aside by Rarity so she can change out of it and while she then makes some adjustments to Applejack’s long green dress much to the latter’s annoyance.
At the same time, Ono has had Beshte try on a pair of black tuxedo with a blue vest and bowtie before eyeing his suit to figure out on what adjustments he needs color and size wise while making measures on the other guy’s tryout outfits too.
“The time's right, gonna make it last 'cause it's the first night
That we're ever gonna start to just have fun together
We're so glad, so happy we could never be mad
Did it right now, this is our big night now.”
The girls and boys sang as Pinkie and Bunga both debated on multiple hairstyle choices.
For Pinkie, pigtails, having it stand tall, swan style, ocean style (with a boat in her hair for good measure), to combed upwards, and finally straight, until it returned to its poofy state to which she greatly preferred.
At the same time, Bunga did something just about similar to Pinkie Pie, from spiky and tall, to slicked back and smooth, to spread out to where it looks like his hair is growing out long, pompadour style (accompanied with a matching pair of shades), and
Ono having watched this, merely shook his head wondering to himself why they even bothered with all of that if she was going to stick with the natural look.
At the same time Fluttershy had gently brushed her hair with help of her bird friends holding up her hair while Spike debates on wearing fake mustaches. From long and curled and short and combed he couldn’t decide which was better.
“Eleven friends on the way up now
Eleven friends here to show you how.”
The girls sang as Rarity worked on painting her nails and put on lipstick before showing her friends some jewelry from one of her chests for them to use for necklaces and further prettying themselves up with as they get their hair done.
Applejack personally did want anything to frou-frou while simply adjusting her hat, Fluttershy was able to brush her eyelashes to her liking, Pinkie was spraying perfume and powdering her nose, and Rainbow Dash was having her hair straighted out with Twilight’s assistance.
Even though Rainbow wasn’t a fan of girly stuff, she does however not mind it just for the occasion every now and then along with wearing a skirt to school.

Everyone all sang as the girls put on the jewelry with their outfits for the Fall Formal while the boys tried on some special cuff links to place on the sleeves of their dress shirts.

The girls sang as they all get dressed up in their dresses.
Pinkie wore a blue tank top, a purple sash with a yellow bow, matching ribbons all around her outfit, light blue top hat, pink skirt, with purple knee length boots. Rarity wore a sleeveless light blue dress shirt with a white knee length with small pink heels and blue diamond gems on them. Fluttershy wore a long blue flowing top, and a long flowing yellow skirt, with light blue knee length boots with pink laces on them and matching small heels.
Rainbow Dash of course wore a rainbow colored sleeveless dress with red knee length boots with small wings and heels on them and purple detached sleeves. Applejack wore a sleeveless blue dress with red decorations on it with brown knee-length cowboy boots with small heels on them along with a brown and stylish cowboy hat.
Fuli herself, had on a sparkling golden yellow sleeveless dress with black spots on them along with black detached sleeves much like Rainbow’s outfit, with matching gold yellow knee-length boots with small heels on them, accompanied with black shoe-laces and a cheetah face imprinted on the sides.
The guys all had similarity bright and amazing tuxedos on.
Beshte had on a bright blue one with a matching bowtie and a big top hat to go along with it a silver cane, belt and dress shoes. Bunga from Equestria had on a naval blue tuxedo with black shoes and belt along with a gold bowtie on it while his look-alike had on a silver tuxedo with a white shirt and a blue vest with a matching bowtie. Ono wore an all-white tuxedo outfit with the only color outside of it is an orange bowtie.
Twilight, Kion, and Spike were all amazed by their impressive outfits finding it very suiting for them before they were both placed in separate fitting rooms by both Rarity and Ono respectively so they can put on their outfits for the Formal.
Rarity also took the time to gently remove Twilight’s black leather jacket and applied some hair dye removal to the latter’s hair finding it more fitting for the girl that she doesn’t look too dark for the big night in exchange for something brighter. Twilight didn’t really resist these changes at all, since truthfully she really wants everyone in this world to see the real her before moving to place on the dress Rarity had picked out for her.
Everyone all gathered around the two fitting rooms just when the Prince and Princess both emerge from now fully dressed for the Fall Formal.
Twilight wore a sleeveless pink dress, a white ribbon tying up her white and purple waistband, with pink sparkling knee-length boots with shoelaces on them and small heels just like the other girls. In addition had her hair recolored to its original purple color.
Kion had on a red tuxedo with a yellow vest and matching bowtie along with matching lightning bolts on the sides of jacket and black dress shoes.
Everyone was all smiling in delight with how handsome and gorgeous they both looked individually and when put together.
“Now that’s a prince and princess that’ll definitely look great together when they both with their crowns!” Ono was the first compliment taking great pride in his work alongside Rarity.
“Great? Great?! Try amazingly wonderful!” The fashionista excitedly stated before clearing her throat to calm herself down a little. “But you both seriously do look nice together.”
“We sure do.” Twilight agreed without second thought while admiring the bright colors on her outfit.
“Shall we get going?” Kion asked everyone.
“Let’s!” Everyone all stated before moving to head out of the shop and on back towards the school with one big night ahead of them. And from the look of things, it will sure be a night they’ll never forget.
That night everyone all rode their way back to the school in the limo as many students make their way inside.
Everyone was very excited looking forward of what’s to come with Kion very hopeful and feeling sure that he and his friend will be able to have some breathing room in enjoying the dance and make it back in time before the portal closes.
“Doing okay?” Twilight asked just before they walked back inside the school.
“Yeah! Especially now that we’ll have plenty of time to make it back before the portal closes tonight.” Kion shared with a sense of relief. “Although…” He then said as his smile faded. “…there is of course that our truce will be over once we go back to Equestria.”
“Right that.” Twilight acknowledged with her smile dropping too. “But you do realize of course, it doesn’t have to be this way…” Kion’s ears briefly perked up upon hearing that. “…if you willing to listen to what I have to say.”
“I wish I could believe that…” Kion expressed wanting to find it in his heart to be able to see things her way. “…but that of course involving me in whatever horrible things Scar has in store for everyone there.”
“But it really doesn’t have to come down to it.” Twilight countered with insistence. “I mean if only you’d just open up your eyes a little more and see what Scar went through, you would definitely see that he is an ideal king who just needs some guidance into being a proper ruler. I’ve been watching of how Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, along with your parents rule over Equestria and the Pride Lands gaining their wisdom and knowledge of what it means to be a true ruler of a kingdom. And I’ve seen what they have done to maintain the balance everyone needs to maintain harmony throughout the two worlds. That could me us if we work together to put our minds to it.”
“I know, but…” Kion hesitated a little before trying to tell her the hard truth about his grand uncle. “…he’s not the kind of ruler who is willing to listen to reason now.”
“Maybe he just needs to hear the right words from the mare he took under his wing.” Twilight suggested and then offered him a choice to join her. “And maybe you too, if you’re willing to give it a chance.”
Kion understood what Twilight was saying and she was willing to give even Scar a chance to turn himself around to shape him up into becoming the king everyone wants in life. But deep down he has the gut feeling that Scar is too far gone to be worth the trouble and that not even the benefit of a doubt from the good buried in Twilight’s heart is going to convince him into doing the same.
“I’m sorry.” Kion firmly said with his decision made after a few seconds of pondering. “But I’m afraid we both know that isn’t going to work.”
Sad but true, the two would see that the only way for them to work together is if Twilight dropped her intelligence to Scar and instead helped to work with them and everyone from the Lion and Pony Guard to the Royal Family in their mission to defeat Scar but Twilight is still firm in believing that Scar knows what he is doing and might still be willing to listen and hear her out.
The two can only look on each other while understanding and accepting each other’s decisions just when two cars pull up to the parking lot.
One that belongs to Flash Sentry is a black car with yellow lightning bolts on the side of the car with a blue shield and the other car belongs to Rani is a yellow cat with an orange colored lion head on the sides of it.
The former was wearing a black tuxedo with a blue vest and red rose on the front breast pocket while the latter was wearing a stunning long red dress with matching heels and rubber gloves with her brown hair combed to the side.
Their dates to the dance have arrived, and once they all met up at the top of the stairs, Flash offered his shoulder to Twilight who graciously accepted it while Kion does the same for Rani who accepts it as well. Yet during this while their partners weren't looking both Kion and Twilight looked aside from each other knowing of what's to come when they get back home and it is clear they are both going to hate having it come down to this.
While walking inside Flash accidentally crashed into the closed door beside her until Twilight gently yet firmly pulled him inside while Kion himself winds up crashing into the door just seconds later much to his date’s amusement. All Kion could do was scratch the back of his head before properly leading his date inside while joining their friends inside the gym where everything is set to take place.

Inside the gymnasium, everybody is having the time of their lives all dancing while Flash’s band plays the rocking music under the lights of the disco.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders are dancing together where Apple Bloom has her arms tucked together, Scootaloo is moving her arms around like a chicken, and Sweetie Belle is swinging her arms around freely. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were all dancing and butt bumping together.
The main seven girls and four boys were all dancing together. Both Applejack and Equestrian Bunga both dances like they were jogging in place with the latter doing somersaults around the group. Canterlot High Bunga danced while motioning his arms in sync with Pinkie Pie. Fluttershy‘s dancing had her moving her arms and hands to her faces while Ono dances similar to Rainbow Dash who is moving their arms around much like Twilight and Kion. Beshte is currently shaking his butt with his hands locked together behind the back of his head while Rarity dances while shaking her butt while leaning forward. Fuli was having the time of her life busting out some quick dance moves with her fast style break dancing while the nearby students applaud and cheer for her in the spotlight.
During their dancing, Twilight had the time to ask Rainbow Dash through the loud music this question while Kion briefly stops to take a look around for their surroundings for a familiar foe. “Anybody see Sunset Shimmer?”
“Nope! Haven’t seen her since this afternoon!” Human Bunga replied while still dancing to the beat.
“Maybe she was too embarrassed to show! She's gotta know you won by a landslide especially after what happened!” Rainbow Dash assumed.
“I don’t think so.” Kion replied still unsure she’s done just yet. After all, she’s clearly up to something if nothing bad has happened to him or Twilight yet.
While the two were left wondering what she’s up to this time, the music stopped just when the latest song comes to an end. Everyone cheers when Principal Celestia walks up onto the stage to make the announcement everybody’s been waiting for.
“First off, I wanna say how wonderful everything looks tonight. You all did a magnificent job pulling things together after the unfortunate events of earlier.” She announced just as Luna comes forward with Twilight’s crown in a wooden case while handing her the official letter. “And now, without further ado, I'd like to announce the winner of this year's Fall Formal crown. The Prince and the Princess of this year's Fall Formal is...” She announced as she opened the envelope and pulled out the paper. “Kion and Twilight Sparkle!”
All of the students cheered at the announcement as all of the girls and boys hugged each other before both of the winners made her onto the stage to accept their prizes while unaware of Snips and Snails (who are both wearing bowties and top hats) sneaking inside the gym with their eyes locked on the little dog in the room.
“Congratulations, Kion and Twilight.” Principal Celestia congratulated them as she placed the crowns on their heads. When they were placed on, the two crowns both sparked and emitted a bright shimmering light together to the point the Lions of the Past could be heard and producing a rainbow right below the moon. A sight that had their proud friends smiling and huddled together while watching the sign of unity being cemented here in this school.
Just as Twilight as waving to everyone she heard Spike’s cries for help. “Twilight! Help!”
“Spike?” Twilight said while looking around for where he shouted before spotting him growling and vainly struggling to break free whil being taken away by Snips and Snails.
“They've got Spike!” Twilight exclaimed as she wasted no time in taking after them with Kion quickly following right behind her.
“Lion and Pony Guard! Come on!” He shouted for the others to follow after them just before moving to catch up with Twilight is right on their tails.
Kion nearly crashed into the nearby lockers when turning a sharp corner before quickly recovering and regaining his footing and speed with the others following not so far behind.
They all pursed the dimwitted duo towards the back exit of the school to right around to the front of the school right towards the statue where the portal to Equestria stands…
…along with Sunset Shimmer awaiting for both Twilight and Kion there with a sledgehammer having expected them to show up right where she wanted them to be.
“That's close enough!” Sunset stated while raising the tool of destruction that threatens to trap the two Fall Formal winners should she follow through with it.
“Twilight!” Spike exclaimed trying to break free to no avail just when Snips pinched his lips shut to muzzle him.
“Don't you dare hurt him!” Twilight yelled out to Sunset with her fists raised up ready for a fight should she have her lackeys harm him.
“Oh, I wouldn't dream of it. I'm not a monster, Twilight.” Sunset retorted mockingly before turning to the dog’s captors. “Let him go.” They both complied allowing Spike to run free while running up to Twilight who embraces him in relief. “You don't belong here.” Sunset said while smirking and reaching out her hand directed at the crown. “Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria tonight. Or keep it and never go home.” She quickly frowned and readied her aim on the glass portal.
"Oh, wouldn't I, Kion? Care to put whatever money you have where your mouth is?" Sunset readied her aim to shatter the fragile glass serving as the bridge between the two worlds while briefly eyeing the moon above them. “Tick-tock, Kion and Twilight. We haven't got all night. The portal will be closing on its own in less than an hour. So, what's your answer?”
Kion briefly took off his crown for a moment while contemplating the situation and feeling torn himself of whether or not to give in.
Twilight however firmly and defiantly refused to take her crown off and had this to say to her. “No.”
“What!?” Sunset angrily exclaimed upon hearing this response. “Equestria! Your friends! Lost to you forever! Don't you see what I'm about to do to the portal?!” She further reminded while still holding up the sledgehammer and stomping her foot down into the ground.
Twilight still stood her ground and moving to call her bluff. “Yes, but I've also seen what you've been able to do here without magic. Equestria will find a way to survive without my Element of Harmony and Kion’s Roar. This place might not, if I allow it to fall into your hands. So go ahead. Destroy the portal. You are not getting either of these crowns!” Twilight stated while crossing her arms in front of the girl still grasping the hammer yet unable to find herself to follow through with it.
The more Kion thought every word she said the more he realized that of what leaving their crowns behind would mean for the faith of the world but at the same time wonders of what that will mean when Scar no longer has both Kion and Twilight to deal with in his pursuit of conquering Equestria. Being trapped here for thirty moons would being stuck here for nearly two to three years leaving an opening for the tyrannical lion to make his move unopposed.
“And how about you?!” Sunset turned to the boy standing beside Twilight hoping that he's not on the same page as her. “Is it really worth throwing everything you worked so hard to achieve and protect?” She asked while gesturing him to give her his crown.
Upon seeing the selflessness in her former friend’s heart moved him into saying a few words of his own when the girl turned to him. “Yes!” He firmly replied while placing his crown back on. “At least one good thing coming out of not seeing my family and friends back home is keeping you from wreaking havoc among innocent lives here. Even if we don’t see eye to eye…” He said while described the relationship between himself and Twilight. “…we still have one thing in common, a pure heart in doing the right thing in the end, something that you obviously lack in your mad obsession for power. If you’re really serious about destroying that portal, assuming you are willing to cut off your only way back to Equestria and never see your family and friends over your own selfish interests, go ahead and do it.”
Luckily for him, Sunset was indeed bluffing to when she lowered the hammer down.
“Fine.” She conceded. “You both win.” She dropped the sledgehammer which landed right nearby both Snips and Snails who both narrowly dodge it landing on their feet.
Twilight smiled and crossed her arms at the girl just when Rainbow was the first to join her and Kion’s side. “You... both…are... so awesome!”
“So brave!” Human Bunga also complemented while sharing the same cheek gushing squee as Rainbow Dash.
“Very keen sight, I might add!” Ono spoke highly of them being able to get the girl to stand down.
“I can't believe you were gonna do that for us!” Applejack said in admiration as she gave them each a friendly slap on the back of their right shoulders.
“It's no wonder you're both a real live prince and princess!” Rarity further praised by clasping her hands around Applejack’s right hand.
“Being willing to risk everything like that sure takes guts!” Fuli proudly added while also giving them each a slight jab on the left shoulder.
Sunset was completely enraged seeing this as the last straw that broke her back when she growled at all of the praise she was getting.
“Oh, yes, they’re so very special!” Sunset furiously exclaimed as she charged at Twilight and tackled her to the ground knocking her crown off of her forehead.
Twilight was quick to grab Sunset from moving ahead before wrestling her down while reversing the pin and wrapped her arm around the latter’s neck to allow time for Spike to obtain the crown and run away with it.
“Grab him, you fools!” The fiery girl choked out to which her two lackeys moved to Spike when he runs off with the crown in his teeth.
Sunset managed to free herself by kicking Twilight in the ribs before giving the dog a chase, outrunning Snips and Snails before cornering Spike right on top of the stairs in front of the school doors.
Unable to reach up and unable the doors, he is left whimpering with the maliciously grinning girl ready to snatch it from his jaw.
“Spike! Spike!” Rainbow called out to her at the same time Fuli moves to trip Sunset up to have her tumble down the steps to give Spike an opening.
Spike manages to toss it to her, who manages to catch it while performing a front flip.
Even when both Snips and Snails try to wrestle it from her, she was able to keep it out of their reach and toss it away from them.
“Fluttershy!” She called out to her while tossing it in her direction with her back turned.
The crown bounced off of her back and caught her attention with Fluttershy quickly grabbing it before it could fall and hit the ground.
She barely had time to react when she sees Sunset, Snips, and Snails running towards her in a mad dash for the crown with Rainbow, Spike, and Fuli running after them in an effort to stop them.
Both Applejack and Equestria Bunga were quick to come to her aid upon seeing that the poor girl is too scared to move. The former quickly lassoed the crown out of her hands while the latter tackles Sunset before she can reach her.
“Zuka Zama!”
“Ow! Hey! Get off of me!”
“No problem!” He complied while moving to tickle her toes after removing her boots.
“What the…? Hey…Ha…ha…ha…stop it….ha….ha….ha….”
Sunset quickly turned to punch out the daylights out of the boy who then plopped to the ground seeing stars before passing out.
“Worth it!”
“Bunga!” Kion growled at the sight of his friend being hurt just when his attacker was putting her boots back on before charging over to tackle Sunset ready to fight her now feeling he crossed a major line by doing so.
During this Snips and Snails managed to obtain both Kion and Twilight’s crowns when the former’s fell off of his head.
Seeing this, Pinkie and Human Bunga both snagged the prized possessions with a simple and slip and sliding it out of their fingers before tossing them to both Rarity and Ono respectively who both tossed them to both Twilight and Beshte who then tossed them back over to Fuli and Rainbow Dash…
…but they were both quickly caught and intercepted by Sunset Shimmer after she effortlessly picked herself up and hoisted the boy into the air.
“I'll take that!” Sunset declared as she tossed Kion aside before being quickly caught by Twilight when she ran over to his side. “At last!” She relished in finally managing to achieve her goal in obtaining the coveted items she now has in her hands. More power than I could ever imagine!” Sunset said as she placed the crowns on her head with a proud smile.
However, what she didn’t expect until too late much to her shock was that she was engulfed by powerful black and blue rings of dark magic that lifted her up from the ground.
“Hapana! What’s happening?!” Ono exclaimed in fright.
“The combined power from both of the crowns are corrupting her, that’s what’s happening! It’s too much for her!” Twilight answered while shielding her eyes from the glare the bright light produced just when many students have emerged from the school to witness this horrifying moment.
It was pretty clear that the transformation wasn’t what she imagined! She was literally crying tears in pain while being forcibly transformed into a demon that rose from the fiery pits of the volcano and the gates from Tartarus.
She had blood red skin, large red and black wings and matching colored boots, with flaming red and yellow hair, dress, and tail. It was like looking at the literal devil herself who marveled and manically laughed in delight of her new form.
While Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Ono ducked behind Rarity, Applejack, and Beshte while most others gasped at the sight, Twilight and Kion didn’t flinch nor back down not about to see to it that Sunset enacts her reign of terror.
Wasting no time in unleashing the might of her newfound powers she shot blue and black beams of magic at Snips and Snails, who transformed into orange and blue demonic creatures respectively, both had red eyes and wore black jumpsuits and short combat boots that matched their respective skin.
“This is going to be so cool!” Snips remarked while clenching his fists together really taking pleasure at his newly bestowed powers.
The sight left most of the Guard backing up from with only Kion, Twilight, Fuli, and Rainbow with their fists up ready for that fight and ready to defend themselves when needed with Twilight growling at the girl just she viciously smiles at the nearby students who scream in terror of her while retreating back inside.
“I've had to jump through so many hoops tonight just to get my hands on this crown, and it really should have been mine all along.“ Sunset told everyone cowering before her. Her right eye briefly twitched before she smiled. “But let's let bygones be bygones. I am your princess now, and you will be loyal... to me!” Sunset added as she ripped off the wall along with the doors leading to the front entrance of the school causing the students to flee inside in an attempt to escape.
But it proved to be futile when she effortlessly managed to cast hypnotic spells on every student she comes across making them act like mindless zombies with bright turquoise blue-green eyes. “Round them up and bring them to the portal.” Sunset ordered of both Snips and Snails who both quickly carry it out while she turns to face both the Lion and Pony Guard with her eyes locked on their leaders. “Spoiler alert: I was bluffing when I said I was going to destroy the portal. I don't want to rule this pathetic little high school; I want Equestria!” She emphasized with clenched fists and raised arms. “And with my own little teenage army behind me, I am going to get it!” She announced as she pointed to her zombie-like trance army including Flash and Rani to which had Twilight taken aback with a sad expression while Kion was left speechless and visibly saddened too.
“Hevi Kabisa!” He gasped before quickly shaking it off and collecting himself along with Twilight.
“No, you're not!” Twilight refused to give in to her.
“Oh, please!” The demon scoffed while floating over to her sporting another vicious smile. “What exactly do you two think you’re going to do to stop me? I have magic, and you have nothing!” She roared while her flaming hair briefly grew wider and hotter than before.
“That’s not true!” Fuli bravely retorted.
“She has us!” Rainbow Dash confidently added while she and the others all join by their side to which both Kion and Twilight smiled back at them with great appreciation for having their backs here before charging right at while carrying the sledgehammer she previously dropped at super speed.
Sunset was able to quickly dodge the attempted hit to the head before moving to burn the tool with a fire blast from her right palm before engaging in a series of martial arts combat fighting. They each traded a few blocked punches before they each managed to get a hit towards each other. Sunset managed to punch Rainbow in the gut while Rainbow managed to retaliate by sending an uppercut right on the chin before kicking backwards halfway across the schoolyard. Rainbow quickly charged right at Sunset ready to punch out the fire breathing demon before being blasted away by a huge burst of fire just when Sunset managed to get her attack off in time.
Now Sunset is looking down upon the brash girl before readying another blast of fire right at her face. Once she launched it, Rainbow was horrified upon seeing it come right at her before quickly moving to dodge it just when Fuli charged in to tackle the insane villain.
"Huwezi!"
The two tumbled across the yard until Sunset kicked her off of her allowing them to stand to try to take each other down. By using her super speed she was able to quickly fly a few punches right at her without Sunset being able to defend herself against any of her attacks. She had no time to react and regain her footing with every passing blow she receives from the cheetah-speed driving teenager until she thought of an idea of how to counter it. She quickly used her fire powers to shield herself before Fuli could get in another attack and then just when she is trying to pinpoint her exact location she finds herself punched out by Sunset emerging from the flames with a very teeth-sported and malicious smile.
"Aah!" She screamed upon falling backwards in defeat.
Sunset continued sporting that insane evil smile before floating over to her by fire ready to unleash the wrath of her powers on her with one more blow...
"Zuka Zama!"

From a powerful kick from Bunga's human counterpart, followed by a charge and tackle by other Bunga who quickly followed it up with rapid punches to the face all while smiling at her in a taunting manner.
Unfortunately, for him, Sunset having the full-grown advantage over her managed to swiftly grab his wrist before picking herself up and punching him right in the face to knock him out, before delivering a fire-fueled punch to other Bunga's face.
Sunset smugly grinned before turning to the timid boy trying to analyze a counter-attack before quickly launching a blast of fire right at him leaving him no time for one.
"Hapana!" He yelped before being knocked to the ground and sending sliding across the dirt.
Just when Sunset was grinning at taking the boy down, she found herself tied up in a lasso courtesy of Applejack and then slammed down hard into the ground with Beshte following it up with a leap and pounce on Sunset's ribs.
"Twende Kiboko!"
"Oh!"
Sunset once again developed the twitchy eye before growling and then laughing it off again just when the whole group gathers up ready to face off against her as a team going forward. “Gee, the gang really is all back together again." She scornfully remarked as she got up on her feet. "Now step aside! Twilight and Kion have tried to interfere with my plans one too many times already! Now they need to be dealt with!”
Her eyes glowed once more while Twilight turns to Kion with a nod before they both turned back ready to stand their ground against their deranged foe as she threw a fireball at their direction while their companions all huddled together bracing for impact. Thanks to the magic of friendship the group of eleven were all protected from Sunset’s magical blast.
“What!?” She exclaimed unable to comprehend how that happened. “How is this possible?! You all should have been killed!”
“That’s because the magic contained in my Element has the power to unite with those that helped create it!” Twilight confidently told her as she and the rest of the Mane Six underwent transformations. “Honesty!” She said as Applejack gained pony-like ears and a hair extension. “Kindness! She said as Fluttershy gained ears and a hair extension too with her pony counterpart’s wings. “Laughter!” She said as Pinkie got her hair extension and pony ears as Pinkie took a moment to really enjoy her it like looking at her tail just like her pony counterpart. “Generosity! Loyalty!” She said as Rarity and Rainbow Dash underwent their transformations before Twilight herself went through hers with Rainbow flying at super speed now that she has her wings. “Magic!” She said as she obtained her alicorn wings along with her ears and her hair extension.
Sunset furiously snarled before trying to muster up the energy and strength to Roar to blast them all away. But when she did not only did the magic from Twilight’s crown protect them, but the magic from Kion’s crown canceled out the power of the Roar before disappearing from her head leaving the woman further baffled. For what she didn’t realize was that because she attempted to use the Roar for evil, she ended up losing it's very power completely.
“And not only that…” Kion declared just when the crown appears on his head to when his human Lion Guard friends underwent transformations similar to the girls. “It takes Bravery…” He said when both Bunga’s both gain more muscular bodies. “….Speed…” He said when Fuli was gifted stronger and faster arms and legs that allowed her to run around with speed on par with Rainbow Dash. “…Strength…” He added when Beshte also gains some muscle too, the most out of the whole group. “…a Keen Sight….” He added as Ono developed a sharper eyesight able to spot out and predict Sunset’s movements from a mile away. “…and of course the important lead element…Fierceness!” He finished just when he develops a stronger body along with for the first time wings on his back. “Together with both crowns, they both create a power beyond anything you could imagine, but it is a power you don't have the ability to control and why you lost the power of one of those crowns because by attempting to use the Roar for evil you have lost the power of the Roar completely!”
“And even though my crown may be upon your head, Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it, because you do not possess the most powerful magic of all: the magic of friendship!” Twilight concluded as everyone adopted fighting stances ready for that fight.
Sunset working whatever magic she can harness attempted to blast both Kion and Twilight who both quickly split apart while dodging the attack. After briefly eyeing each other they both moved to charge at her with a move they used when finishing off their foes together.
Through a series of window and ledge hopping, Twilight was able to climb her way up to Sunset’s eye level while dodging every blast she throws at them and made her way to the top of the school roof.
“Hey Sunset! Over here!” Kion shouted just after the girl narrowly tripped Twilight up with one before working his up the building repeating the same motions the girl used and getting up top alongside her.
Sunset evilly grinned while focusing her magic to obliterate both of them on the spot since they both had no time and nowhere to go to avoid it this time around. Only to find Twilight locked her eyes and concentration with both her and Kion’s crowns glowing along with the clouds formed and lightning formed in the sky. The fiery girl harnessed that energy both swiftly moving her hands in quick circular motion to send a powerful double blast right at her only for the latter to catch it while Kion dodged the attack.
The attack was her most powerful and strongest attack yet and it sent Twilight sliding backwards still resisting getting electrocuted by the massive amount of voltage it contained. Finally with a undeterred look fired right back at her, the heads from the Lion’s of the Past appeared as she redirected the lightning back at Sunset along with a fierce Roar that caused the powerful electricity to explode right in her face and sent her flying back and crashing into the ground.
“Un-Bunga-veilable!”
“Poa!”
“Amazing!”
Both Bunga’s and Beshte all stated upon seeing Twilight harness the Roar in a way not even Kion could even expected nor foreseen himself.
“NOW!” Twilight shouted after the others who all charged at Sunset now that she is stunned and unable to defend herself with the attacks everyone from the Guard through at her.
Both Bunga’s managed to plow into her by ramming her back down to the ground at the same time Fuli and Rainbow ran circles around her to form a twister around the girl’s feet. The power of the twister forced Sunset upwards and then falling back to the ground with Fuli leaping up and performing a spinning kick to knock her back into the ground and full force.
When she was able to get back up she had barely enough time to prepare herself for Ono and Applejack making a charge right at her with calculated fists and punches to her face. Despite her efforts to quickly block their punches, she was swiftly knocked off of her feet and kicked away by Applejack.
Humiliated, Sunset makes a charge at the boy who surprisingly stood his ground while crossing his arms…
…because of Beshte making a charge at her.
“Twende Kiboko!”
The moment she realized it, it was too late before she was sent flying upwards into the sky.
Everyone all looked upwards in the sky’s direction for several seconds, all of them wondering and hoping that the attack didn’t really kill her by sending her into deep space due to being up very high in the sky longer than expected…
…at least until Sunset came back down screaming unable to regain her flight control before smacking herself hard into the ground at the same time everyone quick took a few steps back.
Using the magic from the crown, Twilight was able to pick Sunset up from the hole created just when both Rarity and Fluttershy move to sweep the dust off of her along with help from some of the nearby birds…
…before the fashionista moved to punch Sunset in the face just square in the jaw. “That was for last year’s spring debacle.”
Just when the birds all swarm around Sunset who desperately tries to shake it off she then sees everyone all gathering together with both Twilight and Kion floating over to them ready to finish Sunset off when Twilight has this to say.
“Here and in Equestria, it is the only magic that can truly unite us all!” Twilight said as Kion locked eyes with Sunset.
With the clouds forming once again just when the rainbow magic was forming, Kion had the Lions of the Past backing him up while unleashing the Roar at the same time Twilight and the girls unleashed the rainbow magic onto Sunset which proceeded to strip her of her dark powers.
“No! What is happening?!” She screamed as she finds herself completely covered and consumed by its power.
With both Twilight and Kion guiding the rainbow power in the right direction with the latter now using his more smaller and precise Roar’s, they were able to reverse the brainwashing spell Sunset had previously casted on them while reverting both Snips and Snails back to their normal forms.
By then, they did, both Twilight and Kion saved the world. They have both won by working together!
Both Kion and Twilight smiled at each other while getting up on their feet at the same time both Equestria, Bunga and Spike both embrace them with the former giving Kion the biggest hug he can give while Spike licks her face affectionately.
“You did it! You truly did it! You were so amazing!” Bunga exclaimed to his friend before turning to Twilight. “And you, channeling the Roar too, that is so, Wow!”
“I didn’t know you could do that!” Fuli stated in agreement.
“Me neither!” Ono added. “I thought only the leader of the Lion Guard could do that!”
“Well there’s a first time for everything.” Twilight said with a humble shrug before adopting a more serious expression directed at what’s smoking down in the huge crater right in front of them…
…The defeated and de-powered Sunset Shimmer, now sporting scuffs and scratches on her body and clothes along with now messy hair from the whole ordeal. All she could do now was grovel before those who had left her powerless and without any fight left in her.
“You will never rule in Equestria or the Pride Lands. Any power you may have had in this world is gone. Tonight, you've shown everyone who you really are. You've shown them what is in your heart.”
“And by attempting to use the Roar for evil you lost its very power completely!” Kion added to clarify while the crown ended up on his head instead.
All Sunset could do upon seeing the damage she inflicted on everyone is tear up in remorse. “I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't know there was another way.”
“The magic of friendship doesn't just exist in Equestria. It's everywhere including the Pride Lands.” Twilight continued while turning to the others friends who got together for a group hug. “You can seek it out, or you can forever be alone just I have in the past. The choice is yours.” She offered with a briefly warm tone before turning away and frowned just when Sunset crawled out of the hole.
“But... But all I've ever done since being here is drive everyone apart. I don't know the first thing about friendship.” Sunset cried unsure of how she’s supposed to do that.
Twilight being one to open up to her while taking her hand to help her out of the hole and on her feet with a way she can go on about that. “I bet they can teach you.” Twilight gestured to the others who all in return offer friendly smiles and support. Well, all but Rarity and Ono who still hold a bit of a grudge towards her for all the trouble she caused.
“Eh, why not?” Fuli shrugged with a teasing smirk that’ll tell she’ll have some fun messing with her while she's at it.
“We’d be more than happy to!” Beshte added very supportive to give her a second chance in life.
“I suppose.” Ono reluctantly spoke still not thrilled about the idea of reforming a big-time bully.
“Don’t worry, Sunny Bunny!” Human Bunga assured. “We’ll teach you everything we know and soon you’ll be having fun alongside us, just like every student here!”
“That’s right!” His honey badger counterpart agreed. “As they say back home Hakuna Matata!”
“Hey that’s my line!” Other Bunga complained before they both laughed together while everyone watches on in surprise at seeing two Bunga’s standing before them.
“Those are my girls and boys! Woo-hoo!” Spike cheered.
“Did that dog just talk? Whoa. Weird.” One the students said really surprised upon hearing and seeing it.
“Seriously?” Spike was baffled by his response. “The talking dog is a weird thing about all this?” He then gestured to the two Bunga’s high-fiving together while shaking their bodies around in a victorious dance together. “As opposed to that or even being nearly enslaved by a raging fire-breathing demon that nearly took over the world?”
“I, for one, think you're adorable.” Rarity said to him as she picked him up and scratched his ear, the area where all dogs love being scratched.
“Oh, yeah.” Spike said as he is finally getting some affection from his human counterpart’s crush.
Just then, Twilight’s attention was drawn to Principal Celestia’s voice who had something to say and give to her. “I believe this belongs to you.” Principal Celestia spoke to her as she held up her crown. “A true prince and princess in any world leads not by forcing others to bow before her, but by inspiring others to stand with her.” She told her as Twilight got into the habit of bowing before her just as Celestia places the crown on her head just when Kion joined her side. “We have all seen that you are capable of just that. I hope you see it too, Princess Twilight.” She added as she knelled down to her eye level and placed her hand on her chin.
“I do.” Twilight replied with a warm and sincere smile as the principal turned to Kion.
"And as for you Prince Kion, do you understand what it means to be a true prince and leader much like Princess Twilight."
"I do." Kion answered while bowing his head with one of his fists placed into his other hand's palm as the crowd cheered for her as they stood up just when Flash approaches the former.
“Would now be a completely awkward time to ask you for that dance?” Flash asked while offering his hand.
Twilight thinks about it for a moment while looking at the moon above her. Even though it would be easy for her to say no and quickly leave now that she has everything she needs, she then thought she still has some time to enjoy the celebration and everyone here loves and admires her. Unable to find it in her heart to say no, she accepted and took his hand to where her date brings her on over to the dance floor so they can dance together.
Kion then turned to the approaching Rani who likewise offered her hand ready to dance with him. That is of course he is up for it.
Upon turning to Bunga and the others who all give smiles of encouragement along with thumbs up urging him to go for it, Kion accepts it by taking her hand and leading her back inside for the dance where one last order of buisness has left to be settled before they can properly return home.
The girls and boys all sang as they all danced back inside the gymnasium with Rarity leading a conga dance with Pinkie on the tail end of the line. Fluttershy is currently chatting with two other girls, while Applejack and Big Mac dance together.
At the same time, both Bunga’s engaged in synchronized dancing to where they match each other’s movements while dancing together while Beshte joins in with giving each Bunga ten seconds of dancing alongside each other before switching.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders all danced together when Rainbow Dash swoops in and hoists up Scootaloo in the air and onto her back as she flies around the gym now that she has wings and super speed. At the same time, Fuli runs over to the stage to leap up and catch Scootaloo so she can take a turn in giving her a super speedy ride on the ground while she runs around the place.

The girls and boys all sang as Twilight danced like a pony back from her previous birthday party which weirded everyone around her expect for Flash who decides to dance beside her in perfect sync with her.
While this was going on Rainbow moved to Ono the feel of flying since he doesn’t have any…
…at least until the magic of friendship granted the latter that ability after briefly appearing in a hot blinding light that briefly stunned the crowd.
To say, that everyone was amazed by Ono’s newly magical ability to be able to fly alongside Rainbow was an understatement since the two shared a friendly laugh together while soaring the air before twirling around the disco to produce another bright rainbow beam right at the stage where Kion and Rani get together for a more formal tango like dance together.
“Six friends on the way up now

The girls and boys all sang the main group of heroes all gathered together for a group photo when Photo Finish pulls out her camera wanting to do so.

With a specially requested tune, the two performed this accompanying dance that goes along with it while everyone claps for them during and after their performance together.
As soon as the dance ended they all grouped up together outside so Twilight, Kion, Bunga, and Spike can prepare to leave and go back to Equestria while Sunset peers from inside the school in fear and shame to even face them after all she has done.
“You'll look out for her, won't you?” Twilight asked of the others.
“Of course we will.” Rarity promised on behalf of the group. “Although I do expect some sort of apology for last spring's debacle.” She added while crossing her arms that forgiveness won’t come easy to her.
“Me too!” Ono agreed while adopting the same gesture and expression as the slightly cross girl standing next to her.
“I have a feeling she'll be handing out a lot of apologies.” Twilight told them as Vice Principal Luna appears beside her to hand her shovel while Snips and Snails wheel over a wagon of bricks and cement so they can start paying the consequences for their actions by fixing up the mess they made starting by repairing the destroyed walls to the school.
Just as Sunset prepares to accept her punishment, Kion walked over to say some last words to her before leaving.
“For what it’s worth, at least you’re turning yourself around now.” Kion began trying to be gentle in comforting her which did little to get her smiling while she starts plastering cement on the bottom of the busted wall for her lackeys to place bricks onto them. “Not many enemies, I’ve known have ever saw it in their hearts that what they were doing was wrong.” He briefly casted a disappointed glance at Twilight knowing that once they leave the truce between them is over and they go back to being enemies.
“Huh? Twilight?” Sunset spoke confused while catching that she too is one of thos enemies he is talking about.
“Yeah, it’s a long story.” He replied feeling downcast just when Spike and Bunga called out to him with the portal just under a minute away from closing for the next thirty moons.
“Kion! Come on! We better get going if we want to get back and fight evil there.”
“Yeah! Time’s a wasting!”
“Maybe if I see you again, I’ll explain it then.” Kion said before moving to join the others. “Anyways, I better get going, and good luck.
“Kion!” Twilight called out to her.
“Coming, Twilight.” Kion called after her while moving to join her, Spike, and Bunga just in time to hear Twilight saying some last words to them.
“I know we've only been friends for a short time, but I'm gonna miss all of you so much.” Twilight said while nearly tearing up herself before quickly wiping it away as she prepares to head towards the portal.
Kion also couldn’t help but part with his last words before leaving specifically to the new friends that resemble his Lion Guard friends back home. “Like Twilight, I can’t say it any better of how much I’ll miss you all and I hope we’ll see each other soon.”
“Don’t worry about it too much.” Beshte spoke first.” I’m sure we’ll meet again even if it isn’t for another thirty moons.“
“Yeah!” Human Bunga agreed while wrapping his arm around his double’s shoulder. “We’ll see each other soon, though I will admit I will miss seeing me until then.”
“Me too!” Bunga shared before the two both hugged and cried it all out in each other’s arms before parting ways courtesy of both Twilight and Fuli separating them before the former leads the Bunga with an arm around his shoulder while carrying Spike in her other open arm all across the portal.
“Goodbye, everyone!” Kion said to everyone before crossing the portal himself.
“Bye!”
“See ya!”
“Come back soon!”
“Have a safe travel and avoid dimension sickness!”
Fuli, Bunga, Beshte, and Ono all shared and waved after him just when he crosses over with seconds to spare.
Just after they left, the wings, hair extensions, and accompanying transformations all disappear with it thus dropping both Rainbow and Ono back to the ground.
“Aww!”
“It was fun while it lasted.”
The two expressed with the former disappointed while the latter shrugs it off even though she’ll greatly miss having that ability.
Pinkie even tried to follow after them but all she accomplished was running straight into a statue in the process.
“Aw, bummer!” She exclaimed while Bunga moves to help her up.
Back on the other side are the others back home all waiting anxiously for the four travelers to return.
Rainbow was constantly pacing around like Twilight would do while Princess Cadance places an assuring hoof on both Applejack and Kiara with the latter fearing of the fate of her brother worrying that he’ll never get back in time.
Rarity was currently resting her hooves onto her cheeks while resting on one of her special pillows to which she generously allowed Ono to rest his legs and wings on upon seeing that he too is really anxious to the point he’s about bursting into a Twilight-like freak out.
“Ooh! Please make it back! Please make it back!”
And thankfully his prayers have been answered when his friend is the first to emerge from the portal. Due to the strange adjustment he was briefly wobbling around on two legs before moving to stand on all four.
“Kion! Oh, thank you, thank you!” Ono exclaimed with clasped wings before rushing over to hug the lion cub along with her older sister.
“If there was a time I’d never be happier to see my little brother, it’d be now.”
“Kion!” Fluttershy and Fuli happily stated upon seeing him.
“You're back!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed while flying over to him.
“You've got your crown!” Rarity stated while eyeing the prized possession on his head.
“I knew you could do it!” Pinkie added as she hugged him just when Bunga appears from behind to join in on the hugging.
“Told ya we could!” Bunga proudly stated while nudging his friend in the elbow.
“Oh, we were so worried.” Applejack just as happily said as she cried tears of relief.
“Us too!” Beshte said while seeing the egret is still clinging onto Kion and crying into the boy’s chest.
“Just in time!” Ono added in a still great tone of relief while crying tears of joy.
“What about Sunset Shimmer along with Twilight Sparkle, are they alright?” Celestia asked him with a great worry for either of them still fresh on her mind.
“And how about my crown?” Kiara added.
“They’re both fine. And in regards to your crown well…” Kion answered when Spike comes through the portal while landing on his dragon feet followed by Twilight herself flying through the portal with her crown on her head now back to sporting her black mane and slightly darker coat.
The dark sense of worry is strongly felt with her sudden appearance alone, but instead of the worst like some (Ono, Fluttershy, Simba, and Celestia) have feared. She instead calmly flies over to Kiara while levitating her crown from her forehead.
“Here you go.” She said while gently placing it onto her forehead. “Your crown back in good hands.” She then turns back to the others. “Lion and Pony Guard. Your majesties!” She politely greeted for the sake of the moment before flying off and away from the Crystal Empire without another word.
“Huh?” Ono remarked upon seeing her courteous tone to them without any malice directed at any of them. “She actually retrieved the crown for her and gave it back without anything in return.” He then turned back to the prince. “What was that all about?”
“It's a long story." Kion answered with a solemn sigh before managing to catch her nearly bump into one of the royal guards on her way out.
The two ended up accidentally kiss each other before breaking apart with red tints on their cheeks both looking aside feeling pretty awkward with what just happened. Twilight returned a slightly flustered grin before moving to continue flying out of the castle while the two share lovingly looks at each other with clear signs they have a crush on each other.
And while she was leaving she briefly turned and looked back at Kion with a look that feels like she is starting to have some regret about her previous sins as much as Sunset Shimmer back in the other world before flying out of the castle window. Kion was quick to follow after the direction she flew off in before catching a glimpse of her flying away in the direction of the moon just on the borders of the Crystal Empire.
“Kion?” Fuli was the first to ask upon joining his side with the others following after him while watching the alicorn fly away. “Are you okay? Did Twilight do anything do you there?”
“Well…” He began to explain when Pinkie suddenly appeared with a rapid-fire explanation of what went down.
“…She actually helped you retrieve the crowns in the other world, along with forming a truce with you into working together, on top of meeting a girl who is the head of the committee that specializes in community service and organizing team coordination, and helped prove you didn't destroy all the decorations for a big dance, so you could still run for prince of the big dance, and then asked you to dance at that dance?!”
Kion was left very flustered while looking aside while heavily blushing in response to her on-point assessment.
“Yes! How did you know?” He asked.
“Just a hunch!” Pinkie replied with a simple shrug.
“Well, that all did happen.” Kion then said with everything pretty much covered with that accurate guess. “And she did ensure they were back in right hands, no strings attached.”
The others eyed him very confused of what he meant by that.
“What are hands?” Rainbow asked.
“You know.” Bunga answered while demonstrating and wiggling his claws. “Kinda like these expect without claws.”
“Oh, figures you would have the best time adjusting to it, seeing that you still have what they call hands.” Ono remarked with a deadpan expression.
“Yep!” Bunga proudly said. “They’re like fingers with long nails on them, much like the lion’s paws.” He added while gesturing over to Kion’s parent’s front paws.
“Bunga…” Simba sternly spoke warning him against touching his paws along with his wife’s.
“Sorry.” He apologized before sprinting back over to Kion’s side.
“ Anyways…” Simba then turned his attention back to his son. “…are you feeling okay?”
“So far, yes…” He answered while thinking long and hard about the good she’s shown in the other world. “Even if was a truce for the time being, she’s shown herself to be an actually capable princess and there was some good in her when she helped Sunset turn herself around after realizing her wrongdoings.” He then thought. “Although I do wonder if there is some way we can help her take in her own advice so she can see that too.”
Deep down, there was some good inside of her that is buried deep in the darkness that drove her into betraying everyone and helping Scar conquer the Pride Lands. Yet, he wonders of how they are going to get her back.
“I think it might be possible.” Cadance voiced with full support. “And one thing’s for sure, is that Scar would have never agreed to help you no matter what even if it’s the best course of action for everyone.”
“That’s true.” Luna nodded. “I can definitely relate to her there and I’m sure whatever the answer is that we’ll found out and be there for her in due time.”
“At least before she does something she’ll regret.” Bunga loudly quipped which earned him stern looks from everyone in the room. “I mean she’ll come around for sure, and it’s like I always say, bad guys who have good inside of them always change sides and reform to becoming bigger, better, and stronger people in the end, whether it involves a heroic sacrifice or grand kingdom saving gesture.”
“You always say that?” Applejack eyed the honey badger unconvinced.
Bunga waved a claw at him to shrug it off to try to say something to the effect of “Well, maybe as of now.”
Kion smiled and wrapped a paw around his friend feeling very hopeful in regards to being able to get Twilight into opening up her eyes the same way she did for Sunset Shimmer. It was just a matter of time and patience waiting for the right moment to do it.
“So…” Beshte spoke up wanting to learn more about his visit in the world he was in for the last three days. “…aside from turning human, going to school, and attending a big dance, what was it like?”
“Where did you stay?”
“Who did you meet?”
“What did they wear?”
“What did you do?”
“Did ya have fun?”
“What'd ya eat?”
Fluttershy, Ono, Rarity, Fuli, Applejack, and Pinkie all asked.
“Well…” Kion spoke feeling slightly tired already from what he just went through but pushed through to tell them. “It was kinda like this…” He began while Twilight briefly spies on him explaining everything to his friends and family before flying off just after he finishes telling them without seeing of their reactions.
While Twilight was flying away starting to have second thoughts about her past actions even with her hurting scar thinking to herself if Kion was right that Scar truly is one of those guys who can't and wouldn't move into making himself a great leader and if he too is really taking his revenge too far like she is. All while silently wondering if maybe getting Scar to turn a leaf may be possible after taking both her own wisdom along with Kion and Principal Celestia's words to heart.
However, as she silently makes expressions that show of her conflicted feelings about her past actions back in the Outlands, she was unaware that she was being watched by the lion from Pride Rock where the hooded figure he helped break out of prison appeared alongside Chrysalis.
“Huh…” The male voice spoke finding it really interesting. “…For a second I thought Twilight was going to recruit that lion cub friend of hers along with her actually considering of turning back to him.”
“Yes…” Scar spoke while scratching his chin with a pondering expression. “…she nearly did both ways, didn’t she? It looks like we’ll have to make readjustments to our plans.”
“Really…?” Chrysalis spoke intrigued of what her boss is thinking in regards to their ally. “…you thinking about disposing of her when the time is right?”
“Oh, yes, Chrysalis.” Scar confirmed but not without a calculating expression still finding value in her talents. “But, when there are no other choices left to try to keep her on my side.”
“But why bother?” Chrysalis questioned feeling it’s inevitable. “Since it’s pretty clear that she still values friendship deep down, it’s only a matter of time until Twilight actually considers turning on us and joining Kion along with Simba and Celestia, and actually helps them take back the Pride Lands.”
“Oh, true Chrysalis, true…” Scar acknowledged. “…but as always, I have a plan in regards to her and that is for the time comes and for when the time is right.” He turned back and eyed the now peaceful alicorn deep in thought. “Oh, Poor Twilight.” He said with mock sympathy for whatever conflicting thoughts are in her mind. “Oh, she’ll definitely be in for a little surprise…” He then sinisterly chuckled while clasping his claws together with an evil and wicked grin for what he has in store for her should it all come down to that.
And all while Twilight is unaware of this going on, and whatever it is she’d better prey to Simba and Celestia she’ll be prepared for it.
