After twilight attempts a new spell, she accidentally releases a force not seen anywhere for 7 years

After re-shelfing her books(again), Twilight finds an old spellbook, filled with strange symbols and spells. After following the instructions carefully, she completes the spell, without anything going wrong! Or so she first thought, before a strange light filled the room, releasing a relentless evil with limitless power.

Meanwhile, on the edge of the lost woods, Link prepares for a long journey. The master sword sheathed, his shield on his back, his belt tight. It had been seven years since his last journey. It is also, coincidentally, the same day that he defeated Ganondorf, seven years ago.

Are the ponies ready for what awaits?

It was an average day at Ponyville, the birds were singing, the pegasi were clearing clouds, Pinkie Pie was delivering a fresh batch of muffins to Derpy Hooves' house, and Twilight Sparkle was re-arranging the library's bookshelves. Again. Yes, it was just a normal day for the residents of Ponyville.

"Hey spike, could you find me the copy of 'Equestrian Lore: Volume 2'?" Twilight sifted through the books, shelving each one in their correct locations. Spike's hand burst from one of the piles of books on the floor

"Got it!" Spike triumphantly replied

"Thanks, Number one assistant." Spike grinned. " A few minutes later, after shelving every book, Twilight sat down, and had a cup of nice hot tea. "ahh... Nothing beats re-shelving, right spike?"

"i can name a few things..." He groaned. Twilight scowled at him. Spike lazily walked back to his bed, to lie down.

Thump

"OW!" he yelled "My ankle!" He kicked a small, blue book away from him. Twilight rushed in. "Are you alright spike? I heard a-" Twilights attention turned to the book that lay in front of her "Ooh I haven't seen this book before!" She picked the book up with her magic, floating it in front of her, shifting through the pages.
"Oh right, care more about a book then me... Geeze Twilight..." He rolled his eyes and started crawling his way to his bed.

Twilight continued to flip through the book, her eyes widening with each page turned. She closed the book and placed it on her lectern. Before rushing to wake spike up from his nap. "SPIKE! SPIKE!"
"urrrgggghh, what is it now, Twilight..?"
"Look for yourself!" Twilight dragged spike over to the lectern, leaving claw marks in the wooden floor.
"Fiiiinnnneee.. What is it you wanted to show me?" Twilight opened the book to a page, littered with text and some diagrams. The page was bordered in gold, the only decorative page in the book.
"Uhh.. Twilight.. I cant read this writing... It's written in some foreign language or something" Spike looked at twilight, a confused look on his face.
"Neither can I, but look at the diagram! it looks interesting doesn't it?" Twilight bounced up and down on the spot.
"Its just three triangles inside a circle, I don't know what's so interesting about it."
Twilight got an ink-less quill out and pointed inside the three triangles, one after another. "Look here, it tells us what we need to cast the spell!" Inside the top triangle, was a drawing of a flaming ruby, the left had a sapphire, in what looks like a lake, the right triangle had an emerald, surrounded by creeping vines. each emanating a matching light from the middle.
In the centre, was a small picture of 3 gold bars, stacked on each-other, much like the triangles. Spike stared at the book for a few seconds, before turning towards twilight
"You aren't going to do what I think you are going to do, are you?" He had a pleading look in his eyes
"OF COURSE!"

It took a while for Twilight to beg Rarity for the appropriate gems, considering she apparently had a large order to fill. But she did give her what Twilight needed, considering how outgoing Twilight was about magic, she must really need them.
Once Twilight returned to the library, she opened a box of chalk, and drew the diagram onto the floor.
"Uhh, Twilight?" Spike interrupted "Wont that damage the floor?"
"I hope not. But you never know, right?" Twilight cheerily replied. After finishing it up, she placed each of the gems in their respective positions.
"Aren't you missing something?" Spike wandered around the circle. examining each triangle.
"OH of course! I forgot about the gold in the middle!" Twilight rummaged around her things, but could not find anything made of gold. She remembered the page in the book, being bordered in gold and having some golden decorations on it. She ripped it out, much to Spikes surprise
"Woah, Twilight! I never thought id see the day where you didn't treat a book properly!" Spike smirked as he spoke in a mocking tone. Twilight just replied with a glare, then placed the page in the center of the triangle
Once the page was placed, Twilight Gave the page a small jolt with her magic. The reaction was instant.
The paper on the page burnt up, as the page rose into the air. and began to glow dimly.
Each of the three gems started shimmering, and before long, a water jet lifted he sapphire into the air, vines grew and lifted the emerald off of its resting place, and lastly, a pillar of fire burst forth from the floor and lifted the ruby into the air. The room shone with bright greens, deep blues, and fiery reds. The three triangles drawn into the floor began filling with a golden color, as the gold from the book page was almost blinding. The fire, water, and vines retreated into the floor, but the three gems retained their positions, starting to spin faster and faster.
Suddenly, each of the gems slammed into the glowing ball of light that was the gold, producing a noise that sounded similar to that sound you make when you tap a glass of wine with a metal spoon, but much louder.

The light suddenly dimmed down, letting Twilight get a good look at what happened.
The gold was gone, and each of the gems spun outwards to their starting triangles. The three triangles on the floor remained a golden color. Twilight looked at the gems, each had gold laden around it.
The emerald had been rounded, with the gold curling around the outside, with a small curl coming off the bottom.
The ruby had shrunk, with the gold forming a large "V" around it, with the ruby in the middle.
And finally, The sapphire had been split into 3, with the gold forming a decorative structure, that had an appearance similar to that of a snowflake.
The trio of golden triangles began to glow brighter and brighter, then, without warning, the three gems fell to the floor, and were absorbed, as if the floor was made from water, complete with a rippling effect. The triangles began spinning, faster and faster, until there was nothing but a golden-white shimmering hole in the floor. But before Twilight could get closer to inspect it, the library began rumbling, and a low pitched laughter could be heard coming from the 'portal' in the floor.
A blinding light came from the portal, making Twilight shield her eyes and stagger backwards. The laughter got louder and louder, before a new voice shouted out
"I'M FREE! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!"
Twilight opened her eyes a crack, and saw a tall creature, wearing dark clothing, he walked similar to spike, but had no tail, or claws. He looked at Twilight, gave a menacing grin, and held his hand up to the wall. Darkness formed in his claw-like appendage, before it rushed towards the wall, blowing a sizable hole, big enough for the creature to escape. Once the creature was gone, the light stopped, and everything returned to normal. Except there was a large hole in the side of the library.

The door to the Library slammed open, there stood Rainbow Dash, and Rarity, the only two of Twilight's friends in town at the time.
"Are you okay Twilight?" Rainbow asked "I was.. Uhh... Clearing clouds... Yeah that's it... And i saw some bright lights come from the library, and then there was an explosion, and this... Thing... Flew towards the Ever-free Forest!"
Twilight rubbed her eyes "Y-Yeah.. I'm fine... Oh Celestia! My library!"
Rainbow looked around the room "What are you doing here? some kind of freaky magic?"
"Well i guess you could say that..." Twilight gave an nervous smile
Rarity burst in from across the room "Oh Twilight, my dear! What you have done with these gems is simply marvelous! I have no regrets about giving them to you!"
"Thanks... I think... but you can take them back if you want to... I don't really have a use for them"
"No no no, I gave them to you, they are yours to keep."
"If you say so..." Twilight pulled out a broom and started sweeping up the chalk. Rainbow had a confused look on her face
"Twilight, what about that thing that flew away from the library? Don't you want to try and catch it?"
"Maybe another time, Rainbow, I have to fix up the library, and whatever it was, it's long gone by now."
Rainbow dash rolled her eyes. Today was going to be a strange day.

But for who?

The journey ahead.

The sun shone through Link's window at his house in the Kokiri forest. The birds sang and the trees rustled in a light breeze above the tree tops. As he lazily opened his eyes, he could see something hovering just above his nose.
His eyes snapped open, his vision quickly focused, and he quickly recognised a familiar face. Startled, he let out a yell and fell off the bed. Link shook it off and stood up, a huge grin painted on his face as he remembered the tiny figure that had snuck into his home. It was Navi the fairy, after leaving seven years ago once his journey was over, she had come back. Why she had didn't matter to link, though he was bigger then the other kokiri, and despite the events that took place, Mido still gave him a hard time. Calling him names like "giant" and "outcast" and constantly saying he was not a real kokiri and pointing out he did not have a fairy. While link was larger then Mido, he didn't want to hurt him, and kept his armament locked safely in his chest.
"Link! its so good to see you again!" Navi bounced around the room, sighing as a wave of nostalgia washed over her.
Link gave her a confused stare. "Oh, yeah. The great deku tree can fend for himself, and let me accompany you again! I never thought I'd miss those wild adventures, but it's REALLY boring around here." Link nodded slowly in response. "I know! we should go adventuring again!" Link smiled at the idea, it was very boring and plain in kokiri village, and it would be good to get out into the world again. He lifted the master sword off the mount on his wall, after the 7 years had passed, he pulled the master sword from its pedestal, just in case he ever needed it. There were no able sword smiths in Hyrule since ganondorf attacked the first time, and the kokiri sword was but a dagger to his size. He really had no other option. He gave a grin at the "shwiing" sound the sword made as he pulled it from its sheath. Link swung it around to get a feel for it, after all this time he never needed to use it(except for this one situation involving a bunch of deku scrubs, but lets not get into that). he sheathed the blade and proceeded to open up his storage chest. inside were a bunch of dust-covered items. his bow was in perfect condition, the glaze over the wood and string gave it a nice resistance to times wear. he strapped it to his belt and reached into the chest, strapping a few bottles to his belt as well as his bomb bag and quiver to his back. He reached for the longshot, but it was covered in rust and fell apart in his hands, he grunted in annoyance.
Link shut the chest, leaving the items he was too large to use, such as his boomerang and the gorons bracelet. He shut and locked the chest, as he turned around, Navi flew through the window struggling to carry a small vat of red potion. she dropped it and it clunked onto the floor, spilling a small amount.
"Phew! That was hard work. I figured you'd need some of this if we are going on an adventure, and you were busy so i went and got it myself." Navi hovered over to link and collapsed onto his shoulder, making him chuckle.
Link picked up the vat. it weighed about has much as a bowl of soup. He filled his empty bottles and gave a small amount to Navi to rejuvenate her. He tightened his belt, donned his shield and pulled on the silver gauntlets.(The golden gauntlets were damaged beyond repair in the fight against ganon.)
Link exited his tree and climbed down the ladder. Waiting for him at the bottom was Mido.
"Hey Link, or should i call you Stink? Where are you headed twinkle toes?"
Link sighed and pushed Mido out of the way. Mido tried to get his attention by calling out numerous insults, but link ignored him. He climbed the vines at the edge of the town and entered the lost woods. he figured since the only exit to hyrule is the woods, and he'd already been to termina, he should follow a different route this time. He wandered through the woods for a while, occasionally nicking a tree with his sword so he knew how to get home. After a short time, he stumbled across a large, dark cave. Giving Navi a nod, he ripped off a nearby deku stick and lit it on fire with Din's fire, then walked into the cave.

As he walked through the cave he noticed several strange marks on the walls, depicting strange things like large, four headed dragons, starry bears and weird multi-coloured fruit. His mouth hung open as he deepened into the cave, the markings becoming increasingly detailed and strange. There were a multitude of markings that he noticed looked like the horses at lon lon ranch, except smaller and with less pronounced muzzles. Navi was making "ting" kind of noises as she noticed some of the creatures had wings, some had horns, and a couple even had both. they exchanged glances and continued throughout the cave. the markings on the wall started to lessen and lessen until there were none left.
Up ahead, Link spotted the exit to the cave, and swiftly moved towards it. once he was out, he extinguished the deku stick and placed it next to the cave.
Link looked around and was astonished. The area around them was colourful and vibrant. with many types of plant life that he had never seen before. Link carved the triforce into a nearby tree to signify that this was the tunnel out, and continued into the forest ahead. After a minute minutes of walking, Navi spoke up "Uh... Liiiiiiiink." he turned towards her and saw a great mammoth of a beast, a four headed dragon, exactly like the one drawn in the cave. The monster let out a huge roar. Link unsheathed the master sword and wielded his shield. The monster lunge one of its heads at him, Link dodged right and quickly swung his sword at the monsters neck, causing it to let out an stone-shattering cry, then quickly attacking Link with its other heads, in quick succession.
Link leaped backwards, letting the first head crash to the ground, in its daze, he lunged the master sword square into its forehead, causing it to thrust its head backwards in agony. Link let go of the head and was thrown into the air. the other two heads caught sight of this, and opened their mouths as to swallow him whole on his descent. Link pulled a bomb out of his bomb bag and throw it straight into one of their mouths. it exploded halfway down, decapitating one of the four heads. The pain surged through the beast, and the last unharmed head cringed in the extreme pain of losing one of its heads. The head regained its thought quickly and lunged at link, who was halfway to the ground. Link threw a deku nut at its eye, and it recoiled slightly, causing it to veer off course. He then plunged the master sword into the creatures neck, ripping it from top to bottom as he fell. Link hit the ground in pain, the force of the impact causing him to let out a yelp. Blood then gushed down from the beast as the head fell towards the ground. Link raised his shield as an umbrella, and it worked, mostly. His entire left arm was covered in blood and pieces of the creatures scaly skin. He walked away panting as the rest of the beast bled out. Once a safe distance away, he looked at Navi, who sighed at him.
"Ill find some water.."

A few hours later, Link was cleaning up at a pond that Navi found. He tried scrubbing the creatures blood from his tunic, but his left arm was still stained, making it look a light pinkish-red colour. He sighed, and showed Navi one of the shreds of skin that was caught on him, with a confused face.
"Hey don't look at me, I have no idea what that thing was. Link rolled his eyes.
Once he rested up, they continued through the woods, walking through the lighter side instead of the dark underbrush.
As he cut through the vines and branches in his way, he came across a small clearing. across the middle was what seemed to be a well-used dirt pathway leading from one side to the other. After following this path for a while, the forest cleared and all that was in front of him was lush, green lands. with a few mountains and a town in front of him. All of a sudden he heard a few voices, and dived into the bushes next to him. he poked his head out of the top slightly to see where the voices where coming from. They sounded feminine and harmless, so he sheathed his sword as not to scare them. Navi let out a few loud "tings", getting Link's attention. His mouth opened agape with shock. Just like the markings in the cave, in front of him where two similar looking creatures, equine in origin, but different colours. One was a light butter-yellow with a long, light pink mane and had wings, and the other was a violet colour with a navy blue, cleanly cut mane, that had a purple streak through it, and a horn sticking through the centre of her forehead. Link, in amazement, watched the two stride down the path. What amazed him more was that they were both talking! Epona was never able to talk. The yellow one seemed to be thanking the other for coming with her, he couldnt hear it clearly but he heard "everfree forest", "animals" and "magic". he leaned in to try and hear better, but leant on his hurt leg, and let out a small grunt. The two creatures stopped immediately, the purple one spinning around, horn glowing.
"I know you you are there, now come out with your hooves up!"
Link refused to budge. He'd seen that glow before, seven years ago when he was struck down by ganondorf at the Hyrule castle gates. The purple creature started rustling bushes, trying to find him. He turned to Navi. she whispered softly "i think we should get out of here."
Suddenly, their bush was shoved aside. "AH- huh?" Link was started, let loose a yell and shoved the creature backwards, knocking it onto its side. he jumped back, unsheathed the master sword and raised his shield in a crouch stance, ready to take the blow of her magic. The creature, startled, shot a bolt of energy towards Link. He swung his sword just as he had done to ganondorf in his tower, knocking the energy back to the creature, shocking it slightly before it knelt down from exhaustion. Link quickly placed the blade of the master sword against the creatures neck. It looked up with sorry eyes, pleading for mercy.
"P-please... don't..." a small, quiet voice rung out from the silence of the forest. Link looked over and saw the other creature, giving the largest puppy-dog eyes you could see. He looked back down the the first creature. It had closed its eyes and is now waiting for what happens next.
"She... She was just s-scared... P-please don't hurt her..."
Link let out a sigh and sheathed the sword, but kept his shield raised just in case. He took a few steps backward from the purple creature, and let out a grunt. It opened its eyes, looked around and ran off in the opposite direction, along the dirt path. Link slowly walked over to the yellow creature, and knelt down. He looked at her with a puzzled look on his face, the creature took a step backwards in fear, and tried to hide her face in her mane. He held out his hand and coughed. The creature looked up and saw him smiling at her with his hand outstretched. She shyly placed her hoof in his hand, and he shook it. He used his hands to reposition her head to be facing him, and then made a gesture of a few houses with his fingers.
"Oh... uh.. you want to go to town..?" She asked, Link nodded in response. "Uh... okay... just um... f-follow me i guess..." He placed his shield on his back and followed the creature, noting that she turned her head every now and then. When they finally leave the forest, there's a large mob of similar creatures looking at him, lots were angry, some were confused, a few were downright scared. one of the larger ones stepped forward and shouted
"THERE IT IS. GET IT!" as soon as those words were said, the mob rushed towards him. Navi peeked out from under Links hat.
"Oh boy... Here we go."

Sorry for the EXTREMELY late update. a long time ago i lost my zeal for writing. Recently i got in the mood for some legend of zelda, but already beat ocarina of time at least 20 times. so i thought i may as well update this.

The mob was upon Link and Navi, the yellow creature had taken flight and run away, leaving the two alone against the hoard.
Link reached into his belt's pocket and drew a glowing blue crystal, Nayru's love. He tightened his grip and threw the crystal into the air. A large, transparent blue crystal enveloped the hero, the light alone causing a few of the creatures to back off, but the rest of the mob continued. Link raised his shield and plowed directly through the mob, the crystal around him acting as a force field. Link recoiled slightly as stones, pitchforks, and other things were thrown at him, but bounced off. As he reached the edge of the ocean of these creatures, a few tried to grab onto him in attempts to slow him down, but only bounced off as if he were rubber.
He breached the edge of the mob, and ran as fast as he could. The magic was wearing off and these creatures could fly faster then he could run. He turned a corner and dived through the first door he encountered. The mob ran straight past him. Link sighed in relief, these things were crazy. As he turned his head to the left to make sure they were all gone, he was met with a pink face grinning wildly at him.

"HI!"
Link jerked back in alarm and yelled loudly. The pink creature started bounding around him. "OOooOh I've never seen a thing like you before! You look kind of like that Iron will Minotaur, except you don't have a bulls head or hooves!" Link tried to get her to stop talking but to no avail. "Ooh what this!" the creature tried pulling the master sword from its sheath, but Link pushed her away. "Aw come on! Oh well! Do you like cupcakes? I think you'd like my cupcakes!" Link, desperate for her silence, shoved his boot in her mouth. She only continued to talk, making sounds like "mmmmphmmphmpmhmph."
Link looked outside, it seemed some of the creatures had heard the noise and come to investigate. Link pulled the boot from the creatures mouth (shaking any drool loose) and pulled it back onto his foot. He dived through a nearby saloon door and hid behind the counter, listening as several of the creatures broke down the front door and tried interrogating the pink one. For whatever reason, she didn't reveal his presence, leaving him relieved as the mob left in search of him As he sighed and stood up, the pink creature was in front of him, before he could yell she shoved a cupcake in his mouth."Ssh you silly filly, you cant exactly tell me how much you like my cupcakes if you aren't here, can you? now come on! Do you like it?" Link, still surprised, gave a few chews before giving a nervous smile and a nod.
"YAY! I knew you'd like it! Would you like more?" The pink creature started excitingly bounding around the kitchen, grabbing some more cupcakes from the fridge. Link seized the opportunity to escape out the back door and jump over the back fence.
Navi peeked out from under link's cap. "Is she gone? That thing creeped me out." link nodded in response. "alright, lets try and find a way out of this strange town." Link sneaked over to a different fence then the one he came over. Ahead were a few things who had split from the mob and resumed their daily lives. Something that interested him particularly was a large tree with a hole in the side, revealing the inside of a library.
As Link examined it further, the triforce of courage on his hand started to resonate. His mouth opened a little, and he pointed his arm towards the library, causing his hand to vibrate harder. Link knew something was in that library, and he had to get in there. But he couldn't risk getting spotted by the creatures. He rummaged through his pockets, but couldn't find anything of use.
After a few minutes of thinking, he had a brainwave. He climbed up a nearby tree, and onto the nearby rooftop. Being careful not to be spotted by any of the things, he shimmied over to the other side of the thatched roof, and surveyed the area below. He looked around to make sure none of the things were looking in his general direction, he summoned all his strength and leaped to the building neighbouring his current one.
Link continued this for each house until he was next to a close-by branch of the library. Luckily he wasn't spotted by any of the creatures, and none of the winged ones were in the air at the time. He made sure none of them were looking, and gave one final leap. He missed the branch, but quickly drew the master sword and plunged it into the tree. giving a large "THUNK". Link expertly swung himself up, dislodging the master sword in the process. He landed on the branch and sheathed his sword, grinning largely at what just happened. He swung down a few branches till he reached a small window, and pushed it open slightly. Peering inside he saw the same purple creature from earlier, accompanied by what looked like a tiny purple and green dragon, which spoke up:
"I'm telling you Twilight, this thing nearly killed you! You should send a letter to the princess right away!"
"Spike I can't, if she saw what I did to the library she would get mad! And maybe force me back to Canterlot!" The purple creature paced around the place in worry. "But Twi, you can't just let this thing run free, something bad could ha-" The young dragon stopped talking as he faced Link. Link quickly jolted sideways out of sight, and the dragon continued talking. "Uh... Twi... What did this thing look like.."
"Oh it was tall... wore green clothing, had pale peachy skin and a blonde mane, why?"
"I think he's outside the window." The dragon pointed towards the window Link was hiding behind. Link didn't waste time, he drew an arrow from his quiver, and charged it with ice magic, letting it fly towards the dragon. His shot was directly on target, as the dragon froze up in a solid cube. He bashed his shield through the window, breaking the glass and allowing him access.
Link threw a deku nut at the purple creature, who shrieked and began rubbing her eyes in her temporary loss of sight.
Link lost concentration for a moment when he noticed a few of the creatures from outside gathering around the large hole in the library, some shocked, most scared. The purple creature stumbled into him, knocking him into a nearby chest, which spilled its contents onto the floor.
Link gasped, right there in front of him were the three spiritual gems, the kokiri's emerald, the gorons ruby, and zora's sapphire all laid directly in front of him. Link snatched the three stones and stuffed them into his bag, he began to leave, but stopped just as there was a blinding flash of light. When the light subsided, in front of him stood one of the creatures, but larger and with a moving tri-coloured waving mane. Somehow it seemed familiar... Right! The cave paintings! Link almost forgot! Just like the paintings, this creature had both a horn and wings, and had a very serious look on its face. Link equipped his mirror shield and prepared for a tough battle. But before he could do anything, the creature's horn glowed a bright yellow, which also encased him as well. Suddenly Link could not move at all, he had lost all free will in his muscles. He was levitated in the air before the creature trotted slowly up to him. It stared him straight in the eyes before speaking in a loud voice
"You. You've caused quite a stir here. You've invaded this town, nearly killed my student twice and freezing her assistant solid. You've caused a few ponies small cuts and bruises during your escape, and interrupted my important royal duties"
Link figured this must be the princess the dragon mentioned.
"I've got half a right mind to imprison you in the Canterlot dungeon. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
Link let out a yell. Navi dashed out from under his cap and started ramming into the side of the things face.
"Let him go you big bully!"
"Oh?" The creature diverted its attention to Navi. "What do we have here? A parasprite that can talk?"
"IM NOT A.... whatever you just called me.. IM A FAIRY." she shouted.
"A fairy? Well that's new. And i suppose you speak for this... thing?"
"yes i do, and i demand you let him go this instant!"
"I'm not a stranger to things that endanger my kingdom, little one. I'll let him go if he can prove he's no threat."
"He saved the kingdom of hyrule from the evil Ganondorf! I think that's reason enough!"
"The kingdom of what..?"
While the two were arguing, link struggled against the strong magic and began reaching for his bag. He pulled out Farore's wind, and with one mighty roar, broke the magic's hold and raised it above his head. In a flash of green, he disappeared for a second, reappearing on the second story of the library, his sword drawn and his shield raised.
"Impossible!" the princess uttered.
Navi flew in front of her face. "Now, are you going to listen or what? We don't want to hurt you, but this is only self defence."
"SELF DEFENCE?" the purple creature shouted. "YOU FROZE SPIKE FOR NO REASON".
Link sighed. Navi spoke up once more "Well... We can unfreeze him if you promise to actually listen and not attack us." The princess and the purple creature both looked at eachother and nodded.
Link drew an arrow and aimed it at the frozen dragon, causing a panic in the purple creature. "No! You'll hurt him!" Link rolled his eyes and charged the bow with a bright flame, and released his grip. The flaming arrow struck the block of his, and the purple creature winced.
The ice melted in a matter of seconds, the small dragon staggered out of the ice and slumped backwards, falling asleep as soon as he hit the floor, the purple creature rushing to his aid immediately.
"There" said Navi "He's just fine. Now will you please just listen?"
The princess stood calmly and agreed. Link sheathed his sword and lowered his shield, then jumped down from the second floor.
The explanation took a few minutes.
"So what you are saying" asked the princess "Is that you and your friend are just on an adventure, and were attacked by Twilight in the forest?" Link and Navi nodded.
Twilight looked up "It wasn't my fault... He pushed me, and I got frightened."
"Okay okay, look" The princess got the attention of the two. "I'll let you and your friend be on your way if you can help repair the damage done to this library, okay?" Link hesitantly agreed, and held his hand out to the purple creature to shake her hoof. Twilight nervously placed her hoof in his hands "My names twilight by the way... Welcome to Ponyville."

What neither of the two noticed was the yellow glow coming from their hand and hoof respectively.
