Confronting the Ogre
"Get out of here!" Applejack shouted, leveling the shotgun against the fence.
"Gurrrghgh" The Ogre grunted, it took a step towards an apple tree, the ground shook a bit.
"This is our land!" Applejack shouted out, looking down the sights, "Get out of here!"
"Errrggn" The Ogre groaned,
The Ogre took another step towards the tree and reached out to grab an apple.
"Your not welcome here!" Applejack yelled out.
The Ogre yanked an apple off the branch, or more yanked the branch off the tree. The apples weren't quite ripe yet, but the Ogre didn't care, it chomped down on it either way, wood and all.
BANG
A shower of splinters fell next to the Ogre, a very large and smoking hole in the tree next to it.
"Consarn it! Ah missed!" Applejack shouted in frustration. "Sorry Bloomifer!"
"RRRrrrrggg!" It grumbled angerly, and looked towards Applejack, clearly not scared of her or her gun.
"Uh oh." Applejack said, and quickly broke open the shotgun to load another shell.
The Ogre meanwhile took another step towards the apple tree. It then proceeded to rip off a large branch to use as a makeshift club. Applejack winced at the destruction of one of her prized trees, even if some of it was partially her fault.
With the club now in hand, the Ogre took a lumbering step towards Applejack, who had just finished loading another shell.
"Stand down Ogre!" She yelled, only a bit of fear in her voice.
"Unnngg!" The Ogre groaned, and took another step.
"I'm not gonna tell you again! Stand down Ogre!" She shouted as it took another step.
"Get back in the house!" She heard Big Mac yell out.
The Ogre took another step closer, she now had to look up at it.
"Graahhh!" It spat.
"Get away from it!" Big Mac shouted out, "It'll kill ya"
The Ogre came even closer, Applejack's aim was shaking wildly.
"I'll come back in." She shouted back. "I wanna get this Ogre out of here first."
Applejack held her position, trembling as the Ogre took another step closer.
"Mac, what's all the hub-ub about?" Applebloom asked as she came out of the house.
The Ogre was now standing over Applejack, saliva dripping from it's mouth as it raised it's club above it's head.
Bang
Applejack was showered with splinters as the gun blasted the branch to smithereens. The Ogre appeared unharmed however, and now seemed even more angry.
"Darn." Was all Applejack said,
"Grrooarrr!" The Ogre roared as it pulled a fist back.
Applejack just barely jumped out of the way as the Ogre punched at her, she ran as fast as she could all the way back to the front porch of the house.
Upon reaching it, she looked back towards the Ogre who had just stepped over the fence. It picked up her dropped gun in it's hands, and simply snapped it in half. It took another step towards the household.
"UUrrrnnn!" The Ogre bellowed.
"Everypony inside!" Applejack commanded, prompting a quick shuffle to get behind the door and barricade it.
It was only after moving everything available in the house up against the door that Applejack let out a sigh of relief. She wiped a bit of sweat off her forehead.
"Well, now what?" Applebloom wondered.
There was a frantic knock at the door, and the entire family froze up in fear.
"Gerrmmm!" came from beyond the door.
The knocking came again, even faster this time.
"Don't answer it!" Applejack loudly whispered.
"It's not like we can anyway! We can't even reach the door!" Applebloom pointed out.
"Oh yeah, right." Applejack sheepishly said.
A knock came from the window this time, prompting another flash freeze from the entire family. After a moment or two, Applejack finally gained enough courage to creep over to the window to see what was outside. She expected the Ogre, but was pleasantly surprised to see Rainbow Dash flying just outside the window. She knocked again.
"What are you doing here?" Applejack asked as she opened the window.
"Well, I heard some loud noises, so I decided to check it out. Did you know you have an Ogre on your lawn?" Rainbow Dash taunted.
"No, really?" Applejack said sarcastically. "Anyway, we need some help, can you go get Twilight?"
"Twilight? Why would you want her when you have me? I could take on this Ogre all by myself!" Rainbow Dash boasted,
Applejack sighed, "Can you please just go get Twilight?" She pleaded.
"Watch this," Rainbow Dash continued, not even listening.
"Wait-" Applejack was interrupted as Dash dashed off, around the house.
Applejack wasn't able to see much, but she could hear quite a bit from the window.
"Hey you, big and ugly!"
"Uurnnn!"
"Take this!"
Crack
"RAAAGH!"
"Whoa!"
Thwack
"AAAAAAAAAAAA..." Rainbow Dash screamed as she was launched in the direction of Ponyville.
"She better go get Twilight now," Applejack deadpanned.
Thunk
"Uh, sis?" Applebloom said, looking at the makeshift barricade.
Bam
The barricade held, but it looked like it wouldn't last long.
"Hold it down!" Applejack screamed, and quickly rushed up to hold it together.
Thock
Big Mac put his body up against it as well.
Bcshh
Part of the door splintered inwards, but the barricade just barely held. Even Applebloom shoved herself up against it.
Wham
The whole barricade wobbled, and a wooden chair fell off of it. Everypony braced for what was probably the final impact.
Pew Pew Pew
"WAAAGH!" The Ogre screamed in shock
ZZZZT
"Ooogh!" The Ogre mumbled out.
Thwump
All of the Apple family held their breaths.
"It's okay to come out now! I took care of it!" A familiar voice called out.
Applejack sighed in relief, and quickly disassembled the barricade.
"Oh Twilight! You came just in time. Thank you." She called out as she exited the house.
"Yeah well, when Rainbow Dash came crashing in yelling about an Ogre I knew it was serious. What happened?" Twilight replied.
"This Ogre here just came on our property, I tried to confront it but it didn't work out so well," Applejack explained.
"I'll say," Rainbow Dash said as she landed next to the two.
"So uh," Applejack gestured to the Ogre now laying face down on the ground, "Did you uh..."
"I put it to sleep, we should probably move it before it wakes up." Twilight explained.
"Right, let's get to it," Applejack said,
