ShimmerCode singing
Lunchtime has arrived once again. One bacon-haired girl, Sunset Shimmer is sitting with her friends as usually is. There is one thing that distracts her from eating her lunch or talking to her friends. Is her iPhone pro.
She was busy watching another video made by Youtubers Sing and they uploaded one of her favorite YouTubers; Slogoman/Josh, and he's singing 7 years, the entire video has to combine most of his previous videos that keep switching from video to video while he's moving his mouth so it would match the timing of the song and make it sounded like he was actually singing. They are actually different from him singing and to the actual song.
Like instead of saying "My momma" and "My Daddy" was replaced with "Crainer" and "Jelly" in the lyrics because they can't find any video that has Josh said, Mommy, Daddy, they successfully did this once with Jelly and Preston. Also, instead of "Smoking Herb and drinking burning liquor" was replaced with "Smelting gold, and fighting in the nether," Though, Sunset refers to change that part of the lyrics for a bit by saying; Mining diamonds, fighting in the nether,"
Sunset was a huge fan of Slogoman, and so does his friends, Jelly and Crainer, because her favorite trio reminded her of her friendship with the girls. She admired then guys so much just as much as she looked up to Princess Celestia, that she would have to stay up all night since that's when they upload their videos, and whenever she missed some of them, she would always secretly watched them during class time, though that backfires when Mr. Cranky Doodle caught and confiscated her phone and she got detention for it.
Speaking of a huge fan, Sunset is also fond of YouTubers Sing. Since that said channel is the reason why she begins to have an interest in Slogo and his friends, and so do the other YouTubers. Now, this is also where she wondered if she's increasingly becoming a popular gaming girl and her channel, what if Youtubers Sing started to noticed her? Of course, she just got 500K subscribers but that doesn't mean that she's got their attention, especially that the other YouTubers are like millions of subscribers by now, and she only got half a million.
But she can't help but felt a little bit of hope in her that one day, Youtubers Sing would finally accept her and may have made friends with the other popular YouTubers and made collabs with them, much like how Rainbow Dash gets to be with the world's best athletes and so does the professional ones.
As the video ended, a hand waving blocking the view of her phone took her by surprise. She turned to her right to see Rainbow Dash snicker, and Sunset looks to her friends to see them gazing at her.
"Sunset, have you not learned anything after that lecture Mr. Cranky has been giving you?" Rainbow asked her.
"What so important on whatever is on yer' phone, Sugarcube?" Applejack asked her.
"She's probably watching those 3 losers already," Rainbow Dash replied, earning an offending and shocking look from Sunset. "See? She would try to throw shades at me for offending them."
As expected, Sunset stood up and faced sternly at Rainbow Dash. "Jelly, Josh and Crainer are not losers!" She scolded her. "They're one of the most hardworking Youtubers and they're also a good reminder of my friendship with you girls!"
"See what I mean?" Rainbow replied, ignoring her words. "And if she ever heard about Ssundee and his friends, she would subscribe to all of them and have to watch all of their videos at once."
"Hmm, it seems I have to agree with you, darling," Rarity said. "Besides, I believe you should take a break from your phone for a while Sunset. I mean, look at the trouble had led you in class."
Sunset blushed and chuckles sat back to her sea. "Sorry, it's just that.... I've been thinking...." She gazes at the window.
"What's in your mind, Sunset?" Twilight asked Sunset.
"Well..." Sunset explained. "I'm also a big fan of another channel called, Youtubers Sing, you know? That one channel that combines most videos of other YouTubers together and makes it sound like they're singing. And look at my channel, I just got 500K subscribers, and it got me thinking: at this point I would've been included in their channel, and will be so thrilling to see myself on their channel, making me look like I was singing."
But lowers her head and sighs sadly. "But of course, I'm not as famous as they are, and chances for that to happen are most likely to be slim."
Seeing Sunset disappointed tells them that Sunset wanted this. But luckily, Twilight has a plan and has to explain it to her friends, except Sunset.
Twilight has the girls gathered in the music room while Sunset was helping Wallflower Blush with the plants.
"So, what you got going on, Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked the egghead. "Plus, why can't we have Sunset here?"
Rarity seems to understand what all this was about, "Let me guess; it has something to do with earlier?" She asked.
Twilight nodded. "Yes," she confirmed. "This is what it's all about."
"Oooh, I get it!" Pinkie Pie beamed. "So you're planning to make a video of all of us and make sure that Sunset said the specific words that matched perfectly for the lyrics the creators are going to make it like she's singing just as she wanted it!"
"But what about her videos?" Rainbow asked. "That's totally like 200 + plus of 'em."
"Yes, but that's going to be a lot of research, which is something you're not capable of," Twilight bluntly stated.
"Imagine you're a creator behind Youtubers Sing, and then it takes you a lot of time to find each clip of other's videos are going to be tough, and it might take you days to find what exactly you needed," Fluttershy added.
Rainbow Dash blink for a few seconds. "Oh....."
"So how we suggested we should do to help her?" Applejack asked.
"Well, as Dash said, there are many videos Sunset uploaded on her channel, but it's going to be tough research," Twilight explained. "So, we could at least make one video of all of us together with Sunset, hopefully, she might speak the specific words for the specific lyrics as long as she does the talking, just making it a bit easier for them to find the necessary lines."
"But what songs is she going to sing?" Fluttershy asked.
"That's what we have to find out," Twilight answered. "But we have to make It a surprise, so let's just think of what song she would sing, it should be other longed popular songs before ours."
After a bit of thinking, Pinkie Pie has something in her mind. "I have an idea!" She clarified. "There's this song that Shimmey often listens to! It's 7 years, like that video where she watched that red guy singing it!"
"Hmm, that could work," Twilight agreed, and so does the rest. "Okay, so we start tomorrow. That okay?"
The rest nodded and were looking forward to tomorrow.
The next morning, the girls had suggested making a video of themselves together, called; The Day and the Life of the Equestria Girls. Sunset was excited about this as she visited the Sweet Apple, Acres, where Applejack suggested a meeting. She confronts her at the fields of the ranch and greeted them.
"So, Twilight," Sunset spoke. "How's this work?"
"It's simple," Twilight explained. "All we gotta do is show them what we do for a living, but keep quiet about the magic, it's the last thing we need."
"You got it, no magic," Sunset replied.
"Anyway, let's get right just get right into the video," Twilight declared.
Twilight activates her drone and flies it with the control, the drone activates the camera mode so the girls were being recorded.
"Hello, everyone, it's me and my friends here," Sunset spoke to the camera. "Today, we'll be showing you about the Day and the Life of the Equestria Girls!"
"With all of the fun stuff!" Pinkie Pie added.
"And the awesomeness," Rainbow added.
"And we'll also be showing you the Magic of Friendship!" They all said the same time.
A few moments later, the drone focuses on Applejack, who is holding a rifle.
"As a ranchhand, the only way to protect your ranch is shootin' varmints with this here's rifle!" She gestured to the balloons hovering mid-air. "Let's take those balloons as an example instead, then we'll move on to the empty bottles of apple ciders, and empty cans." She gestured to the empty objects and hand one rifle to Sunset. "Ah' wanna see how that dead eye of yer's works, again, Sunset."
Sunset smirked. "You know, AJ," She replied. "I'm a sharpshooter. I'm going to shoot those balloons, empty bottles, and everything."
"Then quit stalling and show us what can yah' do," AJ told her.
So Sunset deeply sighs and activates her dead eye mode, tapping an X on the balloons and shot them in a blink of an eye. After making sure her drone was recording all of this, Twilight lets out a thumbs-up gesture, telling Sunset to keep going, so she does the same to the empty bottles and the cans.
Once she's done, she handed it back to Applejack. "Who wants to go next?" AJ asked the others.
Fluttershy steps forward and she did as well as Sunset did. Rainbow Dash comes forward and takes the rifle from her friend's hands and she did with a few mistakes, granted, she's not capable of firing a gun.
After a while, they went to the soccer field at CHS, where the drone was recording Rainbow Dash doing some soccer tricks.
"You know what I do when I'm stressed out, or not doing anything school-related?" She kicks the ball up high. "You play some sports to let out that steam!" She then performs a bicycle kick and the ball flies to the back of the net.
"Touch down!" Rarity boasted.
"Rarity, we've known each other for years," Rainbow told her dryly. "How do you still not know this works?" She shrugged it off already and face the drone. "Anyway, to show this even more properly, I'm going to have one of my best friends come in here and challenge me." She glances at Sunset. "Sunset! You're my challenge! Come on over here!"
"Oh, so you want a challenge huh?" Sunset dared and smirk. "Well, then bring it on!"
So the game begins with just the two of them, Rainbow Dash gets a headstart, but before she reaches the empty goal, Sunset Shimmer tackles out of nowhere, and with her impressive speed and agility, she's able to outrun Rainbow Dash and sores 5 to 6 goals.
"Well, that was a challenge I didn't expect..." Rainbow said.
"More like a challenge that you can't overcome," Sunset told her,
"Yeah, I figured you'd say that," Sunset playfully punched Rainbow on the arm.
Sunset then turned back to the drone camera. "Now, that we have let off some steam, who wants to have a sleepover at my house?" She announced, then everyone agrees to a sleepover.
Night had fallen, the girls were in their PJs, Twilight puts the drone back and has it levitate at mid-air so it will have a perfect view of the girls.
Sunset stood up and face the drone, "Now that we're all here, let's all do something that we really loved, starting with me!" She went to the couch and seat down and grab a video game, "This is how I make my videos, this is how make my money, oh, go to my channel, ShimmerCode, the link is in the description, gotta make sure I remind Twilight put that in the description."
"I will keep that in mind, Sunset," Twilight said.
A split second later, Pinkie Pie zooms in and faces directly to the drone, "And you what else I really loved?! Sleepovers!" She bounces around and carries a tray of chocolate chip cookies and gives one each to her friends. "In sleepovers, you get tons of fun, snacks, games, and everything fun!!!"
"And also, during sleepovers, if you're friend was having a bit of trouble with homework," Twilight added. "Offer them a helping hand, show them the miscalculations of their answers on these questions on the book."
Rainbow groaned. "Seriously Twilight, this is a sleepover, not homeschool," She complained.
"And on the contrary," Rarity said to the drone. "Make sure you bring comfy and appropriate pajamas for the night, make sure you don't do anything that gives you pimples that will forever crush your beauty!"
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, "Oh sure, yeah, would be terrible to see that happening," She sarcastically remarked.
"Rainbow Dash, honesty!" Rarity scolded.
Twilight flies the drone to Fluttershy, who was holding a cat.
"Just because us girls are having a sleepover doesn't mean animals don't," Fluttershy said.
"You gotta hand it to Fluttershy here," Sunset added. "She's a caretaker for all the animals."
"And she's the bested friend we could ever ask for!" Applejack agreed.
So then, they spend the rest of the night talking about the things they do for a living as the drone flies around and records everything and everything they said. As soon as that was done, the girls lay down their sleeping bags to go sleep, and knowing their plan to get Sunset included in Youtubers Sing will be a success, then all of that was worth it.
Few days ever since they upload their video together, Sunset makes her way through the hallways, greeting everyone she passed by. She eventually found her friends at Rarity's locker and they greeted her upon seeing her arrived.
"So, anything going on here?" Sunset asked them.
Pinkie Pie widens her smile, "Oh it's something, silly!"
"Like what exactly?" Sunset asked again, raising her left eyebrow.
"Why don't you check that Youtuber Sing channel and find out?" Rainbow suggested with a wide grin.
Sunset was confused at first but comply with her friend's suggestion, so she took out her phone and open the Youtube app, and scroll down the notifications, and what really surprised her is to see herself in Youtubers Sing.
ShimmerCode sings 7 Years
She looked back up to her friends with a surprised expression.
"Surprised aren't ya?" AJ replied with a smirk. "The whole point of our Day and The Life of the Equestria Girls was for you to say some necessarily lines for dat song ya' singing. We figured you'd really want to be included in Youtubers Sing."
"We even thought about doing a lot of research on your previous videos but that's a lot of hard work than we can take, so when we make the whole video together, that is how we make things easier for the creators behind it to find the lines they needed, and they do some research to your videos."
"We even suggested to them that they should give you a chance," Rainbow added. "And thankfully, they accepted and they did."
"And now, our efforts were a success!" Pinkie finished. "Go on! Play it!"
Sunset smiled at them with a small tear, she played the video and watched herself singing 7 years but in its own way, each clip of Sunset speaking each word that matches the original lyrics changes, clip to clip, and they perfectly timed it right. Most of the clips combine together into this one video are from the videos Sunset uploaded on her channel, most of those clips are from Minecraft hunters vs speedrunners with her surrogated little sister, Diamond Tiara, all those Among Us clips with her friends, those collab vids with Principal Celestia, and even some of these clips from their video earlier, The Day and the Life of the Equestria Girls.
When it's done, Sunset teared up in joy and rushed to her friends for a hug, they embrace her back, Sunset had done so much good to their world, so it's about time they returned the kindness.
"Thank you girls," She softly thanked them. "And I love you all..."
"And we love you too, Sunset..." Twilight replied as they continued embracing their one best friend.
