Prologue: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE

View Online

My name is Rainbow Dash. I am the sportiest teen at CHS, but today, Rarity, Shy, AJ and Sunny were at my house for a video game contest. I found this game in my loft, the Jumanji game. When Sunset grabbed it, she was sucked in, and had to play the game. She was trapped. Now we had to save her, but the Jungle was thick. No one could find her. We had to leave her behind. We’ll be back for her. I promised.

chapter 1: A new kind of Jumanji

5 years had passed since we met up for that contest at my house. Applejack, Shy and Rarity were to meet me in the library, but little did I know that AJ would not be with us...

Monday morning came around, I called Applejack to make sure she was okay. Everyone else had arrived, except her. I called her phone, realising she was sucked into Jumanji. We ran back to mine to stop her, it was too late. My parents were home too. Rarity and I were sucked in, and I think my parents were too.

I scowled. I was the map guy. Rarity was Ruby Roundhouse. Then my parents, my mom was the zoologist and my dad was Dr Bravestone.

I’m an athlete, not a map reader! Oh holy shit.

I’m so screwed.

“RAINBOW!” shouted Rarity. “We have to find AJ, then find Sunset.”

My ex girlfriend.

I sighed.

Ostritches chased the four of us.

“DAD!” I shouted. “Drive!”

My mom drove one buggy, my dad another, soaring right over the cliffs, landing on the other side. We got out. I looked at the map, which told me we had finished level 1, the ostriches.

Level 2. Get over the dunes.

I looked over the sandy hills, as the sand rolled down the dunes. I scowled. “What the fuck?!” I cried. “How are we supposed to get over there?”

“We climb, of course,” said my father, as if it was obvious.

“CLIMB?!” yelled my mother. “Climb? How the hell we are supposed to climb That?!

I shrugged. “Come on, Rarity.” I muttered. “The sooner we find AJ, the closer we are to rescuing Sunset.”

I scrambled up the dunes, tugging Rarity and my parents along.

“Follow the flame...” muttered Rarity. “Follow the Flame...”

I sighed. “The Flame...”

We were insight of the town. “There.” I said. “Level 3.”

Shy calls on Flash(fluttershy pov)

I ran to Flash’s house, to ask him if he could fix the old TV in Rainbow’s loft. He agreed. We ran to Rainbow’s house, ashe tinkered with the electronics. We screamed, as we were sucked into the game ourselves.

chapter 3: The flame(RD point of view)

We trudged into the village, when we saw a pretty woman come up to my dad. She told him to be careful. “The flame!” I hissed. “Follow the flame!”

The four of us followed her, someone had stolen the key to the chest. I gasped, as I saw our villain(aka Sunny) and the amulet around her neck. They tried to grab the burglar. I realised it was Applejack.

She(AJ) turned. “Oh, Rainbow! I thought I was gonna get Bravestone. Instead, I got Ming, the Chinese cat burglar.”

Then we had to split. “Come,” said Applejack. “We get camels. Dash, Rarity. Get the fruit. Should break the spell Sunset is under.”

We nodded, heading towards the door. There in the middle of the room, surrounded by water, was the Jumanji fruit tree.

chapter 4: We swap avatars(and escape on camels)

Rarity fell into the pool. I reached out a hand, pulling her up, but we had switched avatars. I jumped up, swung across to grab the fruit. I put it in my pocket, as i fell, Rarity pulling me up. We had switched back. We ran out into the open, as my mom, dad and AJ brought the camels with them. We rode. But then we died. 3 lives left. Each. I passed my dad the fruit, to store in his pocket, in case he might need it. The camels then halted at the bridges. I realised my avatar wasn’t a useless bitch. Cause I needed my knowledge of geometry, and now we were one step closer to saving Sunset.

I directed everyone to the right places(although some people slipped), as we were encountered by monkeys.

“HERE!” cried Applejack, whipping out a rope, pulling Rarity close. I grabbed Rarity, motioning to AJ to follow me, as we were heading to the other side. We couldn’t. A whistle. I looked up, to see Flash Sentry and Fluttershy.

Fluttershy whinnied, as I patted her. “Come on,” said Flash. “I’ve got ya.”

Applejack flung out the rope across to him, as we walked, like a trapeze artist, across it, one by one, away from the monkeys.

“Phew!” cried Applejack, wiping her brow. She gasped. “And there’s the last level. The fortress.”

chapter 6: everyone swap avatars!

The lake was just like the one in the jumanji tree. I jumped in, motioning everyone to follow me. Everyone but Rarity and Flash did.

I was now the zoologist, my mom the horse, Shy, the map guy, My dad Ming, and AJ, Bravestone.

She felt for the fruit. Yep.

I hugged Fluttershy, it was nice to be with her.

Now we had to get in. But before we could, my mom and dad were kidnapped.

“Okay!” shouted Applejack. “The plan. Shy, RD, Flash, get in. I’ll take Rarebear and we’ll scale the mountain. “Y’all okay with that?”

I nodded. “Come on.”

Applejack and Rarity scaled the mountain. “Rarity. I’m sorry. About it. I didn’t mean that I didn’t keep in touch.”

Rarity smiled. “It’s okay. AJ?”

“Yes?” she asked.

“I love you.”

Applejack smiled, kissing her. “Come on.” she said. “We gotta a crook to catch.”

Shy, Flash and I were hiding behind a bush. “I’ll go in.” said Flash. “I look a bit like them.”

We nodded.

We then snuck in, trying to keep it up. We did. We bumped into my father, who told us that a vault had the jewel in. I brought the rope out of the bag, slid it down , and let him down gently. He unlocked it, to our surprise, it wasn’t there.

We ran into the feast hall, bumping into Rarity. I whispered to AJ to be careful.

We fought, skills of fencing coming in handy. I then remembered that Sunset was also a good fencer.

I saw our villain run out. Applejack followed her, scaling up the rope into the air ship, destroying the door. The rope was snapping. I tugged on it, calling my father and Flash to help me. The air ship came down a bit. Meanwhile, Applejack was fighting. She then squished the Jumanji fruit onto her, both of the girls falling through the air. Flash caught Sunset, I caught Applejack. My father rode on my mother’s back, as he grabbed the amulet, showing it to the sun.

“JUMANJI!” We shouted. “SAY JUMANJI!”

My father was confused. “Jumanji!”

The game ended. My mother flew down.

I then realised she was ill. Cancer. I had known all along.

“She wants to stay.” I said. “She says she’s gonna die, of cancer. There was nothing the doctors could do.”

We put our hands in the middle, leaving my mother behind to protect the land, and we disappeared.

I smiled. “Promise we never go back again?”

“Promise.” said Sunset, with a grin.

“Sunset.” said Flash, coming towards her. “I’ve been wanting to tell you since high school. I- I love you. Will you be my wife?”

Sunset looked bewilderly at the rest of us. “Say yes,” I whispered. “Go on. You deserve it.”

“I-I,” stammered Sunset. “I- I love you too. And yes, I’d love to .”

We cheered, a better way to end the last time we played Jumanji.
