Wolverine must protect Fluttershy and his family from an old rival.
A side story to the Marvel in Equestria version of Spiders and Magic, Wolverine and his family must fend of the Weapon X group led by his old rival Sabretooth, with help from friends of course. Originally titled Mutants and Kindness.
It had been three days since Twilight had re-opened her School of Friendship, and things seemed to be slowly returning to normal for Ponyville. Homes of course were being rebuilt, some had to move, others went to stay with friends within the town who's house wasn't destroyed, some stayed at the School of Friendship, mostly the students of course.
The heroes had been very busy trying to keep the peace in Equestria, though while hadn't been that long since Magneto's assault, prior events have shown danger could happen at any time.
Tony Stark was still working on his Accords policy, with assistance from Reed Richards and some input from Sunset Shimmer. The Capcom and Square Warriors were currently doing their own business in their respective worlds but did promise to come to Equestria in times of need.
Right now the only other things on the minds of the heroes is their situation with The Changelings, and finding whoever disrupted the Peace Treaty months back.
However, danger was looming, and soon Equestria would face it's next threat, or rather a certain hero. In the Marvel world, Mystique was seen leading a group of mercenaries through a forest. Not just any regular ones, the Weapon X Team consisting of Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red, Agent Zero and Wolverine's greatest nemesis, Sabretooth.
"Where are we going anyway?" Sabretooth asked, getting a bit impatient.
"I told you before, I'm taking you to Wolverine," Mystique said.
"Where exactly is that?" Sabretooth asked. "Last I heard he practically disappeared off the face of the planet, how do you know where he is?"
"I just do, honestly I'm surprised none of you picked up on where he is when others have, including Magneto," Mystique said.
"I remember you mentioning something about the old man biting the dust, does that have to do with Logan?" Sabretooth asked. "That why you came to get us? To get revenge? Do your dirty work for you?"
"Oh I'm sorry, do you not want your chance to kill Wolverine?" Mystique sarcastically remarked.
Sabretooth angrily snarled, bearing his claws to the shapeshifter, "Watch your tone, or I'll strike you down."
Mystique hardly looked intimidated, she was ready to fight Sabretooth if she needed to, while she could use his assistance she did not deem him valuable enough to keep alive if he was going to be a burden. Fortunately Omega Red stepped in.
"Calm yourself comrade, save your strength for when you need it," Omega Red urged.
Sabretooth huffed a bit before relenting, "Fine, but know this Mystique. I'm doing this only for me, not for you and I sure as hell ain't doing it for that old geezer."
"I suggest you watch your tone," Mystique said, shifting her form to becoming an exact replica of the aggressive mutant. "Don't forget who you're talking too!"
Sabretooth scoffed it off, "Cheap trick, fakes are nowhere as good as the real deal."
Mystique turned back to normal, leading the group away, "I despise having to take your form, honestly I don't even know why I came to get you, I should be taking down Wolverine and Spider-Man myself."
"Spider-Man? There's another name I haven't heard in years, last I heard he was involved in this big fight in New York City," Sabretooth said.
"I heard his nemesis The Green Goblin obtained cosmic power that he nearly wiped out all civilization with," Lady Deathstrike stated.
"Then he disappeared into another world," Omega Red finished.
"Never to be seen again," Agent Zero said. "At least not until those fools from the Capcom World arrived."
"Spider-Man has indeed gone to another world, which is where Wolverine went along with a couple of the X-Men, a member of the Fantastic Four, and even Deadpool," Mystique said.
"Deadpool!? Don't tell me we have to see that weasel again!" Sabretooth said.
"You might have to, so I suggest you deal with it," Mytique said, arriving at her destination. "Here we are."
Sabretooth looked around to see what exactly it was that Mystique had wanted to show him, but he didn't find anything, none of his teammates did.
"Is this some kind of a joke!?" Sabretooth asked. "Just what the hell are we looking for?"
"Look behind you," a voice said. Sabretooth turned around to see the human Draconeques Discord. "Peek-a-boo."
Sabretooth quickly leapt back, getting into a fight postion. "Where'd you come from?"
"More imprtantly, who is he?" Lady Deathstrike asked.
"This here is Discord, a resident of Equestria," Mystique explained.
"A pleasure to meet you, a true honor indeed," Discord greeted, bowing to the mutant.
"Discord? Equestria?" Sabretooth asked.
"Equestria is where Wolverine currently resides," Mystique explained. "Discord is our means of travel to that world."
"Yes indeed, traveling to Equestria is rather difficult without assistance, the portals are very scarce and without the right magic or technology, I'm afraid you'd be at a loss in your travels," Discord explained.
"He's the one who helped Magneto enter Equestria as well," Mystique said.
"Him and many others as well, mostly from this world," Discord said. "I once dipped into the Capcom world, at least after the initial invasion."
"Any of those guys there too?" Sabretooth asked. "Truth be told, I'd love to get my hands on that one karate guy with the red bandana, something about him just ticks me off."
"If you mean Ryu he does visit Equestria from time to time, I can't promise you will run into him," Discord said.
"Well fine, as long as I get Logan, he's my main priority," Sabretooth said, readying his claws. "Though I gotta ask, why are you helping us?"
"You want us to owe you something?" Agent Zero asked.
"No, no, none of that," Discord said, before sheepishly rubbing his head. "Uh, maybe a little, I was hoping that you might consider joining my cause, see I'm trying to unleash chaos all over Equestria and I would love warriors of your calibur to help with that."
"So you want us to do your dirty work, is that it?" Sabretooth asked.
"Well, I wouldn't put it that way, but I guess it's a similar idea," Discord sheepishly admitted. "However keep in mind that you have something to gain here, a chance for revenge on Wolverine, doesn't that entice you?"
"He has a point," Lady Deathstrike said. "This is the best opportunity to bring down Logan."
"And maybe that irritable Wilson as well," Omega Red added.
"There, see all the neat benefits you'll be profiting from?" Discord said. "I give you no restrictions either, go and have a blast!"
Despite this opportunity, Sabretooth's mistrust did not seem to let up, while he did want to take down Logan, he didn't exactly like the idea of essentially being ordered to. Of course this was a good opportunity for him to take revenge on his sword enemy, and his team seemed interested.
"So you all want to do this?" Sabretooth asked his comrades. "Should we take this guy's offer?"
"Yes, it works in our favor," Lady Deathstrike said.
"I have no objections," Agent Zero added.
"It is agreed, we go to this world and destroy Wolverine and Deadpool," Omega Red said.
Sabretooth turned to Discord, "Anything we should know before we head out?"
"Yes, a few things," Discord said. "The town Wolverine lives in also inhabits Deadpool, just confirming that."
"We'll dispatch of him as well," Lady Deathstrike said.
"Two other X-Men live in that town, Gambit and Iceman," Discord confirmed.
"Pah, a couple of weaklings," Omega Red said.
"Don't underestimate Gambit, he's survived this long before he's good at his craft," Mystique warned.
"I can handle a guy who flips cards for a living," Sabretooth said, then turned back to Discord. "What else?"
"Be weary of Spider-Man, he lives in town as well, same with The Human Torch from the Fantastic Four," Discord said. "Ant Man of the Avengers lives in town, and a few of the X-Men teach at Twilight Sparkle's school. If you want to defeat Wolverine, you should go straight for him and try not to draw too much attention."
"Hey if we have to fight them, then so be it," Agent Zero said.
"Spider-Man is a tricky foe, try to avoid combat with him," Mystique said. "Remember his victory over The Green Goblin years back."
"Just look for a cottage near the edge of town, that's where Wolverine lives with his wife and daughter, also his clone and her roommate also live with him so keep that in mind too," Discord said.
"Clone?" Sabretooth asked. "She wouldn't happen to be a young girl would she? Black-ish brown hair?"
"X-23? Yes, I take it you know her?" Discord asked..
"Yes, and this works perfectly, Yuriko here has a score to settle with her," Sabretooth said, turning to Lady Deathstrike. "Isn't that right?"
"I look forward to settling my own grudge," Lady Deathstrike said, extending her claws.
"Well I told you all I could," Discord said, opening the portal. "Here's the entrance, have fun out there."
"Yeah, tons of fun," Sabretooth deviously stated, making his way through the portal with his team following.
"Oh by the way, once you get there you'll likely turn into a pony," Discord said.
"Exuse me?" Sabretooth asked.
"No time to talk, bon voyage!" Discord used his magic to nudge them into the portal, immediately closing it. "Hope they're not too mad."
"Oh they might be, they'll come for you next," Mystique warned.
"Heh, come with the territory," Discord said. "So how about you? What will you do?"
"I wait and see," Mystique said.
"Well while I'm on the matter, as you know I am forming a team and we could really use another shapeshifter, especially one of your skills, I believe you'll make a highly valuable asset," Discord said.
"Another shapeshifter?" Mystique asked. "Who else have you recruited?"
"Just a lady from my home world," Discord explained. "See she wants to salvage her army and-"
"Save it," Mystique interrupted. "I'll think about your offer later, right now I have some planning to do, I have my own revenge to take, but it will heavily depend on how successful Sabretooth is with his quest for revenge."
"Ah, I see then, well I bid you farewell then," Discord said, vanishing back to Equestria.
Mystique turned away, ready to make her way back to her own base, "What a strange being, Equestria is full of interesting wonders. Too bad I may have to burn it to a crisp."
Back in Ponyville, class at the School of Friendship was still in session, Fluttershy was giving her lecture about Kindness and all it's benefits. "Showing Kindness to others sounds like a simple task, just being nice and treating others with the same respect you want to have and always being there for others. But there's much more to it than that, there are different ways to be kind after all, can anyone tell me?" One filly raised her hoof. "Yes Toola Roola?"
"Helping ponies with chores?" Toola Roola asked.
"That's one way, but I'm looking for something a bit more deeper," Fluttershy said.
"Oh I know!" Cozy Glow said. "Showing your cute and adorable face to others and giving them the pleasure of being in your presence?"
"Not quite," Fluttershy said. "But that is a unique answer."
"I think I know," Ocellus said. "Being kind doesn't just mean doing nice things for others, but helping others in the ways they need help."
"That is a great answer," Fluttershy said. "Sometimes being kind doesn't always mean just putting on a sweet face and doing nice things for others, sometimes the kindest thing you can o for another is to be assertive and make sure they get the help they need. Sometimes you'll meet others who you can't get through to with just nice and sweet talk, sometimes you just have to stand your ground, give them a bit of tough love."
"So does that mean that if you try being nice to somepony and they don't listen, you should yell at them?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Not exactly," Fluttershy said. "Yelling at someone isn't really being assertive, it can just be mean. Sometimes you may have to talk a bit tougher but yelling should be a last resort."
"I hear your husband is really good at assertive Kindness," Cozy Glow said.
"Well yes, he is very tough when he talks, but he also knows when to soften his tone," Fluttershy said. "It's all about circumstance and when to use such techniques."
"What are some examples?" Toola Roola asked. "When should you be nice and when should you be assertive?" Toola Roola asked.
"Well if you see that somepony is troubled, obviously a softer approach is required, let's them know you want to help without being overbearing," Fluttershy said. "Being kind doesn't even have to be for anything big, it could be a simple 'Hello' to a friend or even someone you don't know."
"Makes sense," Toola Roola said.
"But the only times you should be assertive is to make sure that whoever you're talking to doesn't try to take advantage of your kindness," Fluttershy said. "Sometimes it's also good to help with someone who's being stubborn, sometimes being kind means being a little tough, there's only so much being nice can do. This is very difficult to figure out however, so be weary when trying this technique, otherwise you might just hurt somepony's feelings, and we don't want that, right class?"
"Right Professor Fluttershy!" the class responded.
"Good to hear," Fluttershy said, just as the bell rang. "You're all dismissed, have a wonderful day."
"You too Professor!" the class said a they dispersed from the room, eagerly heading to their next destination. Fluttershy felt some sense of accomplishment, the same one she felt each time she finished a class, believing she once again got through to her students.
By the end of the day when school had been dismissed, Fluttershy had made her way out of the school, meeting up with her fellow teachers, or as she mostly knows them, her friends, the other Elements of Harmony.
"Hey Fluttershy, another day, another successful lecture right?" Rainbow Dash greeted.
"I should hope so, it feels so nice knowing that I'm making a difference in the lives of others," Fluttershy said.
"It's also nice being able to teach our own way, and not 'By the Book'," Pinkie said, then turned to Twilight. "No offense but the old way was kind of lame and boring."
"Don't worry, I can agree that doing things By the Book wasn't the best way to go about things," Twilight said. "As long as your methods work then I have no worries."
"Is that Neighsay guy really ok with this though?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I mean he seemed pretty adamant about the school shutting down, or at least keeping in only for ponies. Not only is the school still up, non-pony students and teachers still work there."
"It wasn't easy, as of right now the EEA has very little hold over the school," Twilight said. "But Neighsay won't involve himself, appearently Tony Stark made sure of that."
"He did?" Rainbow Dash asked. "How?"
"He just told me he negotiated with Neighsay, didn't say how though," Twilight said. "But Tony reassured me that everything's fine."
"Probably used his business man like talk," Rainbow Dash said. "He does have a bit of a silver tongue."
"I am grateful for his help," Twilight said. "Well, I should be off, I have some papers to grade and I have more agendas to work on."
"Don't work too hard," Rarity said. "Remember to take some time to relax. I'll be more than willing to help take a load off your plate."
"Same here," Pinkie said.
"I really do appreciate that, thanks," Twilight said. "Well then, I should be off, don't worry too much about my work load, I have Peter around to help me."
"Isn't he still doing some teacher work of his own?" Rainbow Dash asked. "How's his chemistry class going?"
"Well, nothing's exploded yet so I say it's going swell, Cozy Glow herself told me how great of a teacher Peter is," Twilight said.
"She's not still living with you right? She's staying at the dorms?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well, she does come over pretty often, Peter likes having her around but I feel like it's making Mayday a little jealous," Twilight said.
"Hope that passes soon, I mean what's going to happen when you have your baby?" Rarity asked. "Little Mayday's going to be quite jealous of your child."
"I don't think it'll be too bad, I mean she's going to be a big sister, I think the idea would be more exciting for her rather than a source of jealousy," Twilight said. "I mean, Applejack, you're going to have a child as well, what are your thoughts? Do you think Oliver will get jealous?"
"Naw, he's a sweet one, he's excited to be an older brother," Applejack said. "But Mayday's a bit different than mah boy, remember how jealous she got when other girls, including mah sister got too close to Rumble?"
"And the one pony she loves more than Rumble is Peter," Rainbow Dash said, earning a slight glare. "Oh, and you too."
"I'll worry about it when the time comes, which won't be for a while," Twilight said.
"I might have to think about that soon, the little buns in my oven are just about ready, won't be long now," Pinkie said, rubbing her belly. "I can't wait for them to be born, new babies around the house! Plus maybe I'll stop throwing up so often...speaking of which."
Pinkie had dashed off to the nearest bathroom with the other girls giggling at her wackiness.
Later on at Sugarcube Corner, the place had some activity with Pinkie Pie taking an order from Lyra and Bon Bon, Deadpool serving some snacks to Golden Harvest and the Cake Twins helping their father with some dishes. Fluttershy and Logan were seen sitting together in a booth, Mrs. Cake having just served them a couple of Root Beer Floats.
"Thank you Mrs. Cake," Fluttershy said, grabbing her float.
"Thanks ma'am," Logan said, grabbing his as well.
"Oh no worries, always nice to see you together and enjoying yourselves," Mrs. Cake said. "Give your daughter my regards."
"Actually if you can wrap a cupcake for her that would be splendid," Fluttershy said. "Maybe one for Laura and Lightning Dust too."
"Nothing too sugary for Rina though, last time she was up all night, and so were we," Logan said.
"Oh I know just the treat, works well for my little ones," Mrs. Cake said as she trotted off, "Be right back dears."
"Real nice gal," Logan said, then took a sip from his drink. "So, how's class so far?"
"It's great, I'm really getting deep into the true meaning of Kindness," Fluttershy said. "It really feels like I'm making a difference in their lives."
"The goal of a good teacher, of course you probably didn't even need the school to do that," Logan said. "Others have looked up to you fer yer kindness even before Twilight's school."
"Oh I doubt it, not many ponies really knew who I was," Fluttershy said.
"Didn't you save Equestria a few times? Pretty sure that was before Twilight opened up her school," Logan said. "Hell you've been doing it before Peter got summoned to this world."
"Before Peter got summoned I never really stood out much," Fluttershy said. "Even during our celebrations I usually stayed out of everypony's way, talking has never really been my strong point after all. It wasn't until Peter came along that I started to feel a bit more confident in myself, of course since then I haven't saved the world as much, it was mostly Peter and Twilight, which I'm fine with, I don't need or want the attention, but I do like being a role model for others, and this school is the best way for me to do it. I don't have to do anything risky or dangerous, I just have to teach students about Kindness."
"Well no one can do it like you," Logan said. "I wouldn't be able to teach Kindness to anyone."
"Of course you can, you're very kind yourself dear," Fluttershy said.
"Come on now, I know yer my wife and as such you feel compelled to say such nice things but I ain't exactly the image of Kindness," Logan said. "You won't see me picking flowers fer others."
"There's more to it than that, I know you have this rugged, tough personality, which I find very adorable by the way," Fluttershy said, Logan awkwardly turning away, hoping no one heard that. "But I know underneath all that is a kind hearted man who wants nothing more than those closest and dearest to him to be safe and happy. I've seen a side of you that many others haven't, it's one of the reasons I fell in love with you, your the perfect combination of kindness and strength."
Logan still felt a bit embarrassed, but he couldn't be mad at what Fluttershy had to say, she spoke from her heart and he knows it's just her nature to treat others with kindness, proving she is indeed worthy of the Element of Kindness. "I still can't see myself as Kind, but yer the expert."
"Logan, being kind doesn't mean being like me, you can be kind and assertive," Fluttershy said. "You show others you care if your own way, you're willing to stand by someone who needs help, and give them a proper push when they need it. Sometimes being tough is kindness in itself."
"That is something you've mentioned," Logan said.
"And it's something I believe, you and I specialize in different types of Kindness, in fact I was hoping you could come to my class some time and help me with some lectures," Fluttershy said.
"You want me to help you with Kindness lectures?" Logan asked. "You sure you want that?"
"Like I said, you show a different side to Kindness and I want the students to have a better idea of what it means to be kind, mastering it is very tricky and I don't want them thinking that being kind means letting others walk all over you, or just telling others what they want to hear," Fluttershy said.
"I'll do what I can, working with kids isn't new to me, but I can't guarantee I'll do well on this subject," Logan said.
"I think you'll do fine, I wouldn't ask you if I didn't think you do this," Fluttershy said. "You're the best in the world at what you do after all."
"Being a teacher isn't exactly what I do though," Logan said.
"Still, whenever you do anything, you always seem to excel, whether it's being a hero or being my husband," Fluttershy said. "Back at the school I had a chance to talk to many of the X-Men and they all tell me how great you were back in your world, and that you're really good with kids, which isn't surprising considering you're the father of my child, a great one at that, I just know you can do this."
Fluttershy's words did seem to spark something in Logan, the X-Men veteran feeling a bit more confident in this opportunity. "Alright, I'll give it a shot."
"Thanks, I know you'll do great, Lolo," Fluttershy said.
Logan groaned in annoyance, "I told you not to call me that in public."
"But it's cute," Fluttershy said.
"Well I'm not cute," Logan said.
"You are to me, you're as cute as a puppy," Fluttershy said.
Logan was thankful that no one heard that, he doesn't mind Fluttershy's pet names and kind words but he does worry about how the others would react if they heard this. Of course he could just annihilate them if they tick him off.
Not too far south of Ponyville, a portal had opened to four beings, that being the Weapon X team that Mystique had Discord send to Equestria to help enact her plan for revenge, and for the group to settle their personal grudge.
To their dismay, they had indeed turned into equine creatures, at least Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike and Agent Zero.
"This will take some getting used to," Lady Deathstrike said, trying to properly maintain her balance.
"How am I supposed to do battle like this?" Agent Zero asked, trying to grab his gun but struggling to keep it in his hooves.
"This better be worth trip," Omega Red replied, practicing with his tentacle whips.
"I don't know, I think I could take a liking to this," Sabretooth said, to the surprise of the others. Upon getting a better look at their ally, they noticed that he wasn't exactly a pony like them, rather he had taken the form of a Sabretooth Tiger. The mutant happily observed his claws, even felt his teeth a bit. This is a transformation he did not mind one bit, anything to make him even more intimidating is a plus for him.
"Victor? Huh, interesting form," Lady Deathstrike said.
"Yes, quite intimidating," Omega Red said. "I envy you right now."
"I think you're all fine yourselves, Lady Deathstrike, you still have your claws, Omega Red, you still have your whips," Sabretooth said.
"That's fine for them, but what about me?" Agent Zero asked. "How am I going to my weapons?"
"You'll figure something about," Sabretooth said. "Discord said some of the chumps from Capcom had come to this world, a couple of them rely on their guns, if they could endure this place, I think a man of your stature can."
"Our anatomy is a bit more flexible than a pony on Earth," Lady Deathstrike said, flexing her limbs. "You might be able to figure something out."
"Let us practice a bit," Omega Red said. "Maybe we improve ourselves before big battle."
"Plus we gotta find out where Logan is," Agent Zero said.
Sabretooth then began to sniff around, catching a very familiar scent, "I think I know, follow me." The mutant then began leading his group into town, ready to settle his grudge against his fiercest rival.
Sometime later, the Parker-Sparkle Family were seen at the train station, Twilight and Mayday were going to Canterlot, Twilight to meet with Tony Stark and Reed Richards to further discuss The Accords and Mayday to play with Franklin, albeit reluctantly.
"Why am I going again?" Mayday asked.
"Because Franklin will be there and he wants to see you," Twilight said. "You wouldn't want to let him down would you?"
"Eh..." Mayday couldn't really care less about that.
"Mayday..." Twilight scolded.
"Why do I need friends mom? I have you, daddy and Trixie," Mayday said.
"Remember what Uncle Johnny likes to say, it's not the healthiest thing for your only friends to be your parents, and aunt-like figure," Twilight said.
"Don't tell me that's being taught at your school," Peter said, Trixie somewhat snickering right beside him. "How much does Johnny teach exactly?"
"Johnny is more of an assistant than a teacher," Twilight said. "But he is right, Mayday needs more than us to grow more."
"I mean, I can agree with that, even if Johnny's the one who said it," Peter said. "But does Mayday even want to hang out with Franklin? I mean Friendship can't be forced."
"I never would have made friends if Princess Celestia hadn't sent me to Ponyville, and I was just as reluctant as Mayday," Twilight said. "Plus Franklin's a nice boy, they got along pretty well back at our Vacation Home."
"I do miss that place," Trixie said. "When can we do another Vacation like that?"
"Now isn't the best time, given the recent villain invasions, we need to be on high alert," Peter said.
"But once the Accords go through and things get more organized, then we can consider Vacation again," Twilight said.
"I hope Tony knows what he's doing with this," Peter said. "Honestly some of the other heroes already have mixed feelings about this, saying this isn't the first time Tony's considered something like this."
"Don't worry Peter, he's not alone, myself and Dr. Richards are helping too," Twilight said. "We'll be fine."
"Yeah, I mean what's the worse that can happen," Peter said.
Trixie shook her head, "Why must you tempt fate?"
Suddenly they heard a train coming, Twilight quickly readied herself to board upon it's arrival. "Well Im off, see you later."
Peter kissed his wife good-bye, "See you later Twi." He then kissed his daughter's head, "You too May, remember to behave for Mr. Stark and Dr. Richards."
"I will," Mayday said.
"And, maybe try to get along with Franklin, he is a nice boy after all, you don't have to be friends but at least be respectable," Peter said.
"Sure thing daddy," Mayday said, boarding the train.
Twilight looked worried for her daughter, she would really hate for her to not want to make friends, it would be a little embarrassing if the Princess of Friendship who runs a School of Friendship to have a daughter who is too anti-social to make friends, it could make her title and school look bad.
"Peter, please be a little encouraging about Mayday making friends, I don't want her to grow up by herself," Twilight said. "And before you say it, we're not enough for her, Mayday needs friends her own age, it's not a good sign when she won't even pay any mind to her own cousin, and it does upset Flurry that Mayday doesn't talk to her much, do you really want that?"
"I get your worries, but I also don't think this needs to be forced, if Mayday wants to make friends then it should be up to her," Peter said.
Twilight shook her head, "No offense dear, but you're not in the best position to be giving out Friendship Lessons."
That took Peter by surprise, "Huh? What's that suppose to mean!?"
"Talk later, I have to get to Canterlot, and I'd rather not have to fly there or teleport, both are too exhausting," Twilight said, boarding the train. "Remember I'm spending the night over there, Sunset's going to play host, so I'll see you tomorrow."
"Uh, right, see you then," Peter said. The train had left for Canterlot, leaving Peter feeling a bit dejected. "What could she have meant by that?"
"I mean, didn't you grow up without friends?" Trixie asked.
"I had friends, like Harry Obsorn...who blew me off eventually, oh and there's Mary Jane Watson...sort of, and...and...uh, my ex-girlfriend Gwen, who's kind of not alive but still!" Peter tried thinking more. "Uh...gotta think..."
"Face it, you never really had steady friends until you came to Equestria," Trixie said. "I was probably the first real friend you made."
"Well, technically Twilight and her friends were, but you were my first best friend since Harry Osborn," Peter said. "You're still my best friend actually."
"Don't tell that to Johnny," Trixie teased. "Or do, not like I care."
"Hey I like Johnny and the others, they're pretty good friends, except Deadpool, but they're alright and I do value them," Peter said. "That reminds me, out of all the heroes in Ponyville, I was friends with Logan, or rather comrades. Maybe I should go see him and ask his advice on what I should do regarding Mayday."
"Great idea, Logan's always good for some advice," Trixie said. "Plus being a parent himself, he would be even better to ask now more than ever."
"I mean, he was technically always a parent but I see what you mean," Peter said. "It's funny, there was a time where Twilight thought you were would get together."
"Well, it could have been possible at one point," Trixie said with a blush. "But he's better with Fluttershy, dating really isn't my thing."
"What about Scott?" Peter asked. "Aren't you dating him?"
"What!? No! What gave you that idea!?" Trixie asked.
"I mean, you two do hang around a lot," Peter pointed out.
"That doesn't mean we're dating!" Trixie shouted. "Honestly it's like you can't have friends of the opposite sex anymore."
"I mean technically we're opposite sex," Peter said.
"Exactly, even before you married Twilight we hung out, were those dates to you?" Trixie asked.
"Well, no not exactly," Peter said. "Fine, I see your point."
"I should hope so," Trixie said, marching off, leaving Peter somewhat confused.
"She kind of overreacted though," Peter started trotting after her.
It wasn't long before Logan and Fluttershy finished up at Sugarcube Corner, the two had left the building with an extra sweet for Rina, along with something for Laura and Lightning Dust since Fluttershy didn't want them to not have any either.
"Logan!" they heard Peter's voice call. They turned to see Peter and Trixie making their way over to the two.
"Oh hi Peter, hi Trixie," Fluttershy said.
"Nice to see you two out together," Trixie said.
"Yes, Logan here took me to Sugarcube Corner to relax after my day of teaching," Fluttershy said, nuzzling her husband. "He's so thoughtful."
"It was nothing," Logan insisted.
"What brings you over Peter?" Fluttershy asked.
"Just a few questions for Logan," Trixie said. "Peter here is having a slight dilemna about Mayday and could use a bit of Logan's incredible wisdom on the matter."
"My wisdom?" Logan asked. "If it's fatherly advice then I ain't the guy to come to, you have more experience than I have being an actual father."
"I mean you are a teacher, so you are a bit of a role model for kids," Peter said. "That's close right?"
"Not exactly," Logan said.
"Can I at least still get your opinion?" Peter asked. "It doesn't have to be perfect but I need someone level headed to talk to."
"Alright then, speak," Logan said.
"Do you think friends are important to have?" Peter asked.
Logan seemed a bit surprised by this question, it seemed like a foolish one to have considering who Peter is married to and what her friends stand for. "Uh, aren't you married to Twilight? Shouldn't you know about Friendship?"
"He's asking because his daughter doesn't want to make friends, and he's just letting her think that way," Trixie said.
"Don't say it like that!" Peter said.
"Is this true though Peter?" Fluttershy asked.
Peter did a half shrug, "I mean, if she wants to make friends then that's good but it seems like Twilight is trying to force it to happen on occasion, be it with Flurry, The Cake Twins and now Franklin Richards."
"I don't think it's forcing Peter, she's just nudging Mayday in the right direction," Fluttershy said. "Remember Twilight once struggled with Friendship and thought it was useless, then it turned out to be the best thing for her. If she hadn't made friends, she might have ended up like her friend Moon Dancer was for a while, somepony who was shut into her house for days doing nothing but studying. I wasn't too different, given my shy nature I could barely make friends, so I needed a little push as well, I thank Rainbow Dash for that since she did a lot of the pushing."
"But is it the right thing to do?" Peter asked. "I mean she's happy already and it's not really doing any harm."
"I can't tell you what to do with your daughter, but it's like I was telling my students, sometimes Kindness requires some assertiveness and tough love," Fluttershy said. "Twilight just wants Mayday to have friends she can rely on, because we all could use a friend in our life."
"Maybe yer worried because of past experiences that you encountered, but you can't pass that worry onto yer daughter," Logan said. "A father should want better for his child."
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Peter said. "I guess I just worry too much, I mean I would like my daughter to have a friend but I also want her to be happy."
"Tough love Peter, show assertive Kindness," Fluttershy said. "You don't have to be overly forceful but at least try to encourage it a bit more, push her a bit out of her comfort zone, it worked for me."
"Not too much of course, think of it like training wheels, the goal is to eventually get them off but after you're confident she'll be properly balanced," Logan said.
"Wow, so enlightening!" They heard. the ponies turned to see Cozy Glow nearby. "Even outside of school you're being so educating, that's so amazing!"
"Cozy Glow, always happy to see you," Peter said, then found himself being hugged by the filly.
"Same here Peter," Cozy Glow said. "Sounds like you're in a tough spot about your daughter, but maybe I can help!"
"Help? How?" Peter asked.
"If your daughter needs a friend, well that could be me," Cozy Glow said. "I could be her friend and from there we'll both make lots of friends!"
"That's a good start," Fluttershy said. "Cozy Glow can help Mayday out of her comfort zone and eventually find more friends."
"I'll be the best friend possible," Cozy Glow said. "Who knows, I can even be like Mayday's big sister, I bet having an older sibling can help with Friendship."
"Uh, she had an 'Older Sibling' once, then he became obsessed with him," Peter said.
"Can you blame her? Rumble's such a sweetheart," Trixie said.
Cozy Glow began to blush, "Rumble? Oh, maybe he can help too! You know, because he knows Mayday so well after all."
"Rumble lives in Cloudsdale so he can't be around too much," Peter said.
"Isn't Cloudsdale pretty much right over Ponyville?" Trixie said. "Plus with Rumble's speed he can come to Ponyville fairly easily."
"He does stop by to see Apple Bloom, they are dating after all, so you should still see Rumble from time to time," Fluttershy said.
Cozy's eye twitched slightly, "He's dating who?"
Before Fluttershy could answer, the town started shaking, much to the confusion of everypony nearby. Suddenly some barn animals came rushing through town, cows, sheep and chicken, all looking to be in a bit of a panic.
"What the hell!?" Logan shouted, jumping out the way, as did the others with Peter being quick to pull Cozy Glow to safety.
Coming from behind were Applejack, Winona, Apple Bloom, Remy and Big Macintosh attempting to gather up all the animals themselves, using lassos and such to rally most of them up.
"Applejack! What's going on!?" Peter asked
"No idea Peter," Applejack said, lassoing a cow. "Something spooked mah animals and now they're rampaging through town like ponies during Cider Season!"
Remy held back some sheep that Winona helped round up, "It's the strangest thing too, one minute things are fine and the next it's all gone to hell!"
Apple Bloom gathered up some chicken using her chicken call, "Come on now little chickies, back to the barn!"
Big Macintosh also brought back some cows, but this still wasn't all the animals. "Might need more hooves."
"Hey I'm down, I am an Honorary Apple, I'll help round the animals up," Peter said.
"Good idea, but we also gotta find out what spooked them," Applejack said.
"A monster!" One of the cows replied, spooking Peter and Logan.
"I keep forgetting the cow can talk," Peter said.
"Sheep too," Remy pointed out.
"Hold on now, what monster?" Applejack asked.
"A big, scary monster with long fangs and claws, scary green eyes and a yellow mane!" the cow said.
"That does sound scary, might have been a creature that escaped the Everfree Forest," Peter said. "What was it doing at the barn?"
"Hunting for food probably," Remy said. "I did find some wreckage near the barn, along with a trail of blood, one of the animals might have gotten attacked, don't know if it's alive or not."
This was concerning, if a monster did escape, what was to stop it from not only going after more animals, but even the ponies. Peter had to take some action and fast, "Alright here's the plan, Fluttershy and Logan can go find the other animals, I'll go find Starlight and see if she can help me locate this monster. Maybe I'll see if the rest of our friends can help. Twilight's in Canterlot for the night so she won't be able to come by, but the rest of us can handle it on our own until then, now let's get to it."
"Hey, what about me?" Cozy Glow asked.
"If there's a monster, then it's probably too dangerous for you to be out here," Peter said, then turned to Trixie. "Take her back home and don't come out until I come and get you." I'll see if Scott can go by and help keep you both safe."
"I doubt I'll need his help but whatever makes you worry less," Trixie said, then turned to Cozy Glow. "Come on now."
"Ok," Cozy Glow said, following Trixie back to the Parker-Sparkle home.
"Alright, let's go everyone," Peter said, the rest splitting up to do what they need to do, Peter going to find assistance, Big Mac and Apple Bloom taking the rounded up animals home while Logan, Fluttershy, Applejack and Remy went to find the other animals.
Back at Fluttershy's cottage, Lightning Dust is doing some wing-ups while Laura is doing some crunches, both girls wanting to stay in tip-top shape. Rina was also nearby, using her toys like a dumbbell, emulating what she was seeing the two very fit girls do.
As they worked out, they heard the animals outside rustle like something was happening. Lightning Dust looked out the window, "Something's going on."
"Yeah, I heard it too," Laura said. "Wait here with Rina, I'll go check it out."
"Be careful," Lightning Dust said.
"Pfft, when am I not?" Laura asked.
"That a trick question?" Lightning Dust teased, getting a snicker from Laura.
"Smart-mouth," Laura went outside. "I'll be right back."
Lightning Dust made her way over to Rina, lifting the filly onto her back, "Big Sis Laura's pretty brave, isn't she?"
"Big sis!" Rina said, getting a chuckle from Lightning Dust.
Laura went outside to check on the animals, wondering what was happening when she noticed something unsettling. The gate was broken and a good chunk of animals had escaped, but to make things worse, she spotted some blood nearby. "Crap, did a monster come through here!?" Suddenly she felt something tugging at her tail, she turned to see Fluttershy's pet bunny, "Angel!?"
The bunny was very much in shock and worry, desperately pointing nearby. Laura went to the direction the little creature was going and found that one of the animals had been cornered by a massive creature. But something about this creature seemed familiar, nonetheless, she knew it shouldn't be there.
"Hey who the fuck are you!?" Laura asked, making her way over, ready to attack with her now unsheathed claws when she felt something wrap around her neck. She was lifted into the air and tossed into a nearby tree, courtesy of Omega Red.
This caught the creature's attention, who turned out to be Sabretooth, "Well now, what do we have here?"
"A new face it looks like," Lady Deathstrike said, making her way over from the forest.
"And perhaps a decent challenge," Agent Zero said, stepping into vision.
"Who the hell?" Laura could swear they looked familiar.
"Victor, look!" Lady Deathstrike said. "Her claws, just like his."
"Well I'll be, you must be Laura Kinney, Logan's little clone," Sabretooh said. "I heard you'd be here.."
"How do you know me!?" Laura asked. "And how did you know I was here? Who are you!?"
"Don't you recognize me?" Sabretooth asked. "I'm an old friend of Logan's after all."
"Old friend of..." Laura squinted her eyes, getting an idea of who this was. "No way...no fucking way!"
"Laura! What's happening!" Lightning Dust called from inside the house.
"Oh, another friend?" Sabretooth asked. "Maybe I'll go inside and-"
Laura tackled Sabretooth, stabbing her claws into him, "You stay the hell away from her you scumbag!"
Omega Red tackled her off, allowing Sabretooth to stand and claw Laura back, knocking her into another tree. Omega Red grabbed her by the leg and tossed her through the wall of the cottage, knocking her through and landing near Lightning Dust.
"Laura! What's happening!?" Lightning Dust asked.
"Take Rina and fly away! Find Logan!" Laura ordered.
Lightning Dust was confused until she saw the Sabretooth making his way into the house from the hole, "What do we have here?"
"Who's that!?" Lightning Dust asked.
"No time to explain! He's one of Logan's fiercest rivals and really fricken dangerous! Take Rina and leave now!" Laura said, running in to attack Sabretooth, getting him with some claw strikes.
Lightning Dust was not too keen on leaving Laura alone but she knew that Rina's safety was a top priority. Acting fast, she grabbed the little filly and was about to leave when Lady Deathstrike entered the house, glaring at the two.
"I can't allow you to escape," the mutant woman tried to attack but Lightning Dust dodged and kicked her aside, giving her the time to fly out. Omega Red had latched on to Lighting Dust but she just hoisted into the air and eventually kicked her leg to send him flying off. She then found herself dodging gunfire from Agent Zero, but her speed more than helped her escape.
He attempted to pursue her but Angel Bunny had jumped on his head, pulling at his mane. The soldier had whacked him away and attempted to shoot Angel, but the little bunny was quick to escape harm. "Damn, these hooves are making things more difficult."
"Bastard!" Laura jumped over and cut his hind legs, "That's for attacking my friend and little sis! And Angel too I guess."
Agent Zero back hoofed Laura, allowing Sabretooth to rush in and attack her. "She's feisty."
"Her friend got away," Agent Zero said.
"Well, look on the bright side, now we know Logan is coming, and when he does," Sabretooth clawed down a nearby tree. "That's when we strike."
"You'll have to get past me first!" Laura said, trotting over and still ready to fight. "I won't die so easily though."
"Good, I need a warm-up!" Sabretooth rushed in to attack again.
It wasn't long before Lightning Dust found Logan and Fluttershy, the two were helping Remy and Applejack calm down a bull. She landed near the group, Fluttershy being the first to notice her. "Lightning Dust? What's wrong?"
"Trouble," the mare said. "Some villains are attacking our home!"
"Villains!?" Fluttershy asked. "Who?"
"I don't know, but one of them is freaking scary looking! He had large claws, long teeth, green eyes and a blonde mane!" Lightning Dust explained.
"Sounds like the monster that attacked our animals," Applejack said.
"He wasn't alone, he had some friends, one of them had claws of her own, one used tentacles and one had a gun," Lightning Dust said.
Logan found that explanation very curious, it all seemed so familiar, "There's no way..."
"Laura told me to find you Logan, she said whoever that was knew you or something," Lightning Dust said.
That did it for Logan, the mutant started to get an idea of who was here, and it was not a good picture. "Shit..."
"Logan?" Fluttershy asked.
"Lightning Dust, stay here with Fluttershy," Logan said, unsheathing his claws. "I got some business to attend to."
Logan quickly dashed off, leaving everyone behind, with Fluttershy, Lightning Dust and Applejack very confused.
"What in tarnation is going on?" Applejack asked.
"I think I know," Remy said. "Applejack, I gotta help Logan, go find Peter and the others and tell them what's happening!"
"Remy, do you know what's happening?" Fluttershy asked.
"I might have an idea, one of Logan's old enemies is here, a man named Victor Creed," Remy said. "Better known as Sabretooth."
That's a name Fluttershy was familiar with, the name of a mutant who had been rivaled with Logan for many, many years. She knew all the terrible things he had done, and now her husband was in danger. "Logan..."
Back at the Cottage, Logan had finally arrived, looking around desperately. The place was destroyed, the animals were scattered, it looked really bad. "Creed! I know you're here! Where are you!?" Suddenly Laura was tossed in his direction, the girl covered in blood and in a great deal of pain. "No! Laura!"
As Logan checked over his daughter figure, Sabretooth had made his presence known, alongside his three allies. "Hello Wolverine, it's been a while."
Logan angrily turned to Sabretooth, gritting his teeth in rage, "Sabretooth..." The two faced off, ready to once again reignite their old rivalry.
On the way to the cottage, Remy was moving quickly in hopes of catching up with Logan, knowing full well what type of enemy he was up against.
"Of all the villains to come...I mean, maybe not as dangerous as Magneto but Sabretooth ain't someone to mess around with," Remy continued running to the cottage. "Logan's gonna need help, especially if them others in Creed's group make their move."
Back at the cottage, Logan was still staring down his old rival Sabretooth but he had not left Laura's side, the veteran mutant still very much concerned for his daughter figure.
Laura struggled to stand, to which Logan immediately noticed, "Hey easy, you took a lot of damage."
"It's fine, one useful thing I got from you was my healing factor," Laura said, getting back on her hooves, her cuts healing up. "Still, that fucker hits hard."
"Tell me about it," Logan said.
Sabretooth sinisterly approached the two, looking ready for another showdown. "So, Logan, its been a while, I see you've made yourself comfortable in this world."
"How did you get here?" Logan asked.
"Is that how you greet an old friend?" Sabretooth asked. "No 'Hello'? Or wondering how I'm doing?"
With a SNIKT, Logan angrily approached his rival, "I don't have the patience for your bullshit, now answer me before I tear you to pieces!" He then aimed his foreleg, "Well I just might do it anyway, but if you cooperate, I'll at least leave you with one of your eyes."
"Oh Logan, always quick to violence," Sabretooth bared his claws. "One of your admirable traits."
Logan rushed in to stab Sabretooth, his rival sidestepping him and clawing his back, leaving him open enough for Lady Deathstrike to cut Logan across his chest, and Zero to shoot Logan in the head, Omega Red rushing in to grab Logan by the neck and tossed him through the cottage.
"Logan!" Laura rushed in to help but Lady Deathstrike blocked the way. "Stand down if you don't wanna die!"
"You? Kill me? I had no idea you were such a jester," Lady Deathstrike taunted as she ran in with a swipe of her claws, which Laura quickly blocked.
"The only joke is you!" Laura shouted, reeling back and stabbing Lady Deathstrike in her chest. Her opponent responded with a stab on her own through Laura's shoulder, both mares trying to overpower the other, until Laura had grabbed Lady Deathstrike's forelegs and flipped her over, slamming the evil mutant to the ground.
"Back off girly!" Agent Zero shouted, about to shoot Laura when Logan emerged from the cottage and sliced Zero's rifle in half and kicked the sharpshooter away.
Sabretooth rushed in, swiping at Logan, but his opponent's dodging made him a much more difficult target. "Hold still you-"
Laura then impaled her claws into Sabretooth from behind, giving Logan the opening to impale his abdomen. Together they lifted him into the air and tossed him aside, sending him crashing through a fence.
Before they could continue, Omega Red had grabbed both of them by their hind legs and hoisted them up before slamming them down, repeating the process a few times.
"Neither one of you vill be escaping with lives," Omega Red said, getting ready to slam them again. "We will reign supreme!"
"I beg to differ!" Remy shouted, arriving in time to jam the tip of his staff onto Omega Red's temple, and then twirl it in position to whack him aside, causing him to drop Logan and Laura.
"Kind of glad to see ya Gambit, but where did you come from?" Laura asked.
"Aside from living not to far away from here, after hearing what Lightning Dust had to say, I knew one of Logan's old rivals came back, and he didn't come alone," Remy said.
"Appreciate the help Gambit, but I would have preferred if you had went with Applejack to safety," Logan said.
"Come now Logan, you know I would never leave a pal hanging like that," Remy said, twirling his staff a bit more. "Little strength in numbers can't hurt."
"You sure about that?" Sabretooth said, the moment Remy turned around, he took a punch that knocked him back. "Now you!" He hit Laura with an uppercut that knocked her into a tree.
Logan began clawing at Sabretooth, the mutant parrying the strikes and attempting ones of his own. Both seemed almost evenly matched, their years of fighting allowing them to know one another well in terms of combat.
"I'm coming Logan!" Remy rushed in to help but Agent Zero blocked his path, attempting to punch the card dealer but Remy had sidestepped and whacked Zero down with his staff. Unfortunately Omega Red had come over, wrapping his tentacle around Remy's neck and tossing him onto a nearby tree.
"I got ya Gambit!" Laura rushed over to attack Omega Red but was hit from the side with a kick by Lady Deathstrike.
"Have you forgotten me child?" The older woman taunted.
"Hard to forget that hideous face," Laura mocked.
That little comment greatly displeased Lady Deathstrike, bringing out ire from the woman, "You little..." She swiped at Laura again, swiping her hard across the face.
Laura wiped off the blood as her cut started to heal and slashed at Lady Deathstrike, returning the favor with a cut across her face and one upping with a swipe that knocked her off her hooves. Laura jumped to land down a strike, but her opponent dodged last second and rushed in to attack with a kick that knocked the young girl back.
Nearby Omega Red was attacking Remy with his tentacles, trying to slam then on the staff wielding mutant. Remy was quick to dodge but it was getting closer each time, "Gotta knock him off balance!" Remy tossed a card at Omega Red, the man dodging but leaving himself open long enough for Remy to sneak up in an attempt to whack him, but the attack was blocked.
"Nice try," Omega Red punched Remy and tried attacking again but Remy was quick in sending a card to knock him back.
Logan and Sabretooth continued to do battle, both of them clawing aggressively at each other, both taking a lot of cuts, healing almost instantly, but they needed to think of something before either one of them got fatigued.
Zero had recovered from his attack from Gambit and was about to assist again, but suddenly took a kick from out of nowhere. He looked to see that Lightning Dust had returned, "I'm back!"
"It's that winged pony," Agent Zero said.
"I prefer the term Pegasus," Lightning Dust corrected. "I'm here to get you away from my family!"
"I am tired of this place already," Agent Zero said, firing his gun at Lightning Dust, the mare quickly dodging out of the way and flying in for a kick, knocking him back to the ground.
"Well no one asked you to come," Lightning Dust taunted, flying in to attack some more, hitting a few kicks to the Agent and knocking him through a fence.
Looking around quickly, Lightning Dust saw Laura engaged with Lady Deathstrike. Flying in, she swiftly kicked the older woman in the sides, giving Laura an opening for a kick-slash, stunning her again for Lightning to deliver a punch to knock her back.
"Awesome teamwork!" Lightning Dust cheered, hoof bumping Laura. "Now let's keep up the-" Suddenly a bullet went piercing through Lightning Dust's hindleg, causing her to fall, holding her leg in pain. "CRAP!"
"Dust!" Laura shouted in worry, leaving her open stab through her torso from Lady Deathstrike, "I swear you're all a bunch of sneaky cowards!"
"We do what we must to eliminate our targets!" Lady Deathstrike shouted, stabbing through Laura again, the mare coughing up some blood.
"Bitch!" Laura shouted through her blood as she tried to elbow Lady Deathstrike away. The mare got off and rushed back in to stab Laura again.
"It won't be long before you draw your last breath, but fear not, your friends won't be too far behind," Lady Deathstrike said taunted, turning the claws inside the mare.
"Laura!" Remy rushed in to help, though Omega Red attempted to restrain him. "Back Off!" Remy pulled a hoof away and tossed a card at the evil mutant's face, causing him to release his grip. Remy quickly rushed over and whacked Lady Deathstrike in the face with his staff.
"Persistent little pest!" Lady Deathstrike swiped her claws hard, getting Remy across the face, but that didn't deter the card user as he struck back harder, not once but twice across her head, then stuff a card on her body just as he ignited it, blasting her back into the cottage.
"We're really gonna need a new place to stay after all this," Laura lamented, coughing up some more blood.
"You know you have a home with us, we'll get this placed fixed up too," Remy said. "Until then we gotta-"
Logan had been tossed over toward where Remy and Laura were, the two quickly catching him, though both were left open as Sabretooth rushed in and clawed Laura across her torso and face, then turned to Remy with a punch, then a claw to his back, drawing a lot of blood from the Cajun fighter.
"Damn!" Remy fell over, blood seeping out of the gashes on his back.
"Remy!" Laura rushed to attack but took another claw that knocked her to the ground, Sabretooth then stomping hard on her.
"You should learn when to quit you little brat," Sabretooth was about to attack again, but nearby, using whatever strength he could muster, Remy had stopped the attack by charging up another card and hitting Sabretooth with it. The blast was not enough to stun Sabretooth enough for a follow up attack, if anything it just made him a bit angrier. "So you want to die first? Fine by me."
Logan had leapt up and stabbed Sabretooth in the chest with both claws, lifting them upwards to increase the damage and pain. However Sabretooth clawed Logan's head, digging his nails into his rival's skull.
Laura jumped in and clawed Sabretooth's back hard, the mutant yelling out in pain. She continued clawing him, trying hard to bring him down. Omega Red rushed in to stop her but Remy had whacked him with this staff the moment he got too close, then used his cards to knock back Agent Zero and Lady Deathstrike.
Sabretooth had knocked Wolverine back, freeing him from his claws and turned to attack Laura, but Remy sent three charged cards this time to knock Sabretooth back a bit more. Remy rushed in and started whacking him with his staff, once across the face, one into his abdomen, once under his chin, once again across his face.
"Gonna knock you out for good!" Remy was about to hit a more devastating attack but Sabretooth had clawed him just before contact was made, Remy holding his foreleg in pain as blood dripped down.
Sabretooth was gonna strike again but Logan had begun relentlessly attacking Sabretooth, cutting hard with his claws, and hit a kick that knocked him into the air. Logan jumped and up and struck Sabretooth down hard, knocking him into the forest. Thinking quickly, the villainous mutant began to retreat, wanting his wounds to heal a bit before fighting again.
Logan took a moment to catch his breath after such a relentless onslaught, then turned to Remy, taking note of his friend's injuries, and there were a lot. "Gotta get you some medical help."
"It's nothing, just a scratch, or two, or more," Remy joked as he tried to stand. "I'll be fine Logan."
"You don't look fine, and unlike me, yer injuries don't heal instantly," Logan said. "Gotta get you to safety."
"Our fight ain't over," Remy reminded. "You should finish off Sabretooth while you have the chance, and his buddies aren't gonna stay down for long. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."
"He's right about Sabretooth at least," Laura said. "Don't let him get too far away, you don't want him to recover his injuries."
"Even so-" Logan was then grabbed by Omega Red's tentacles but he quickly fought of his predicament out and cut them off. Agent Zero was about to attack but Logan rushed over and punched him across the face as Laura jumped over for a kick.
"Just go after Sabretooth, I can handle the others," Laura said.
Logan was reluctant to leave Laura behind with a couple of injured friends but she knew he had a point, he can't let Sabretooth recover, plus he may just make his way into the village and that would make everything far worse.
Logan rushed to find Sabretooth as Laura stayed behind near a very injured Remy and a somewhat injured Lightning Dust.
"Actually I need you to get Gambit out of here," Laura said, surprising her friend.
"Wait, you want me to leave you behind?" Lightning Dust asked. "Not my style to ditch a comrade."
"Gambit's hurt, pretty badly, if he stays he'll just be a liability," Laura said.
"Hey I resent that," Remy stated. "I ain't that hurt."
"Oh can it, you're barely able to stand and if you keep bleeding like you are you're not gonna last long anyway," Laura said. "Dust, you gotta take Gambit back to his wife, I'll be fine for the moment."
"Oh no, you're friend already escaped once, we're not letting that happen again!" Lady Deathstrike leapt in to strike, though Laura was quick to block.
"Back the fuck away from my friends!" Laura parried the attack and jammed her claws into Lady Deathstrike's sides. "Go, quickly!"
Lightning Dust wasted little time in propping Gambit on her back, ready to take off, "You better not die on me!"
"Have some faith in me, will ya!?" Laura said, going back to attacking Lady Deathstrike.
Lightning Dust began to fly off. Omega Red went to pursue her but this time he couldn't even reach her, Agent Zero also having some trouble with trying to shoot her out the sky. "Great, that's the second time she got away, she's really making us look bad."
"I vill pursue her, this mockery will not be forgiven," Omega Red said, running toward Lightning Dust's direction.
"Crap!" Laura kicked Lady Deathstrike away and went to pursue Omega Red but Agent Zero had blocled her path, firing his guns at Laura as the mare quickly dodged the bullets and did a slice kick, knocking Agent Zero over and cutting his foreleg in the process.
Lady Deathstrike rushed over to strike again, but Laura had blocked, delivering two punches, but the third had been blocked as Lady Deathstrike returned a punch of her own, knocking Laura over.
"You are very much out of your league!" Lady Deathstrike struck down on Laura, the mare quickly rolling out the way, and then immediately dodging some gunshots from Agent Zero. "Zero! Go assist Omega Red!"
"On it!" Agent Zero said, going toward the mutant's direction. Laura turned to where the others were going, a little upset she couldn't stop them. Then again, he was heading into a town with capable heroes, plus the Elements, so not all hope is lost.
Back in town, Big Macintosh was resuming the round up, now with help from Cherilee, along with Apple Bloom and The Crusaders.
"Think that's most of them, we still gotta find the missing animals," Apple Bloom said, counting the chickens she rounded up. "Though considering what Remy said about a monster, ah don't even know if they're still alive."
"Don't think like that Apple Bloom, have some faith," Sweetie Belle said.
"Yeah, Peter went to find Scott Lang and they're gonna track down the monster your animals saw," Scootaloo said.
"Ah hope it's not too dangerous fer him," Apple Bloom said.
"Come on, it's Peter, he's the strongest Superhero in the world," Scootaloo said. "We've had scary monsters here before, like the Negative Zone monster and that creature from Capcom, I bet this is just some random monster from the Everfree Forest."
"Little surprised monsters like that still exist, weren't a bunch of them killed by Capcom villains a few years back?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"You should know, you were with them," Scootaloo said.
"I wasn't with them at the time, and don't talk about that, I still regret so many things," Sweetie Belle said.
"You better, ya put us through a lot of worry," Apple Bloom said. "Never mind that, let's keep rounding up the critters, there were a few sheep we still needed to get."
"I thought you rounded up all the sheep?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"A few wandered off, ah didn't realize until we got to the farm," Apple Bloom said. "Let's bring back the last of these chicken so we can go."
"Think somepony beat you to it," Scootaloo said, taking note of some oncoming sheep, who were being escorted by Rumble holding some treats over their heads as he flew backwards to the girls.
"This way little sheep, back to your flock," Rumble said, nearing the Crusaders. "Sup ladies? You're all looking pretty today."
"Oh you tease," Sweetie Belle said with a blush.
Apple Bloom looked a bit jealous but she knew Rumble was mostly just messing around, "Hey Rumble, got the animals fer me?"
"You know it, but not without help," Rumble gestured to one sheep that transformed into Ocellus.
"Hi girls," The Changeling greeted.
"Ocellus, didn't expect you to be here," Apple Bloom said.
"Me and Silverstream were taking a stroll near the school when we noticed the commotion, she went to find Rumble since she knew he'd want to help and I just blended in," Ocellus said.
"Neat, say where is Silverstream then?" Apple Bloom asked.
"She went to see if she could spot any other animals," Rumble said.
"Well ah greatly appreciate the help," Apple Bloom said.
"It's no trouble, maybe Fluttershy's Kindness Lesson is rubbing off on me even more," Ocellus said. "Though today's lesson was more about being assertive in your Kindness."
"Well that works well fer animals, sometimes being nice and sweet ain't enough, gotta get a little tough," Apple Bloom said.
"Don't let others walk all over you, something I've had to learn myself," Rumble said. "Well come on, let's get these creatures back to the barn."
"Thanks Rumble, yer such a dear," Apple Bloom said.
Rumble flew overhead, grinning down on his marefriend, "I think we both know a better way of thanking me."
Apple Bloom playfully rolled her eyes and kissed Rumble on the cheek, "Let's leave it at that few now."
Rumble seemed a bit disappointed, he wanted a bit more but he'll worry about that later. He's ready for a bite out of this Apple, and he'll get it soon, "Alright, let's hurry."
The Crusaders, Rumble and Ocellus continued to lead the animals back into the barn. Nearby Cozy Glow had noticed everything, and she did not look happy.
"Cozy Glow?" Applejack said, making her way over with a very worried Fluttershy, little Rina on her back. "Ain't you suppose to be with Trixie?"
"Oh, um...we got separated because a bunch of chickens came and spooked her," Cozy Glow said.
"That right?" Applejack asked, almost finding that hard to believe. "Well you shouldn't be here, Peter thinks it's dangerous and he may be right."
"Golly, what's wrong?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Lightning Dust told us about some monster attacking Fluttershy's cottage, and mah husband thinks it's an old enemy of Logan's," Applejack said.
"Oh, is that why Professor Fluttershy looks so sad?" Cozy Glow asked.
"I'm worried about my critters, along with Logan and Laura, plus Lightning Dust went to help, along with Gambit," Fluttershy said. "We were trying to find Peter so he can help stop this villain, but he's hard to track down when he's on the move."
"Kind of want to go there mahself but ah gotta keep Fluttershy and her little filly safe. Now, you need come with us Cozy Glow," Applejack said.
"Uh, alright," Cozy Glow said, still somewhat eyeing the direction Rumble and the others went. At least she can keep a further eye on them if she's on the farm.
The group started making their way toward the farm, but it wasn't long before Lightning Dust had caught up with them, "Hey! Applejack! Fluttershy!"
"Lightning Dust?" Fluttershy turned to see the mare coming, but she wasn't alone. "Oh my! What happened!?"
"What happened with what?" Applejack had noticed the stallion on Lightning Dust's back, and she noticed what bad shape he was in. "REMY!" She quickly rushed over the moment Lightning Dust had landed, immediately checking on her husband "Remy! What happened!? Who did this to ya!?"
"It's like we feared cherrie," Remy said. "Sabretooth is in Equestria, and he ain't alone. Me, Logan, Laura and Lightning all tried fighting him off but he's one strong guy."
"It was so weird, his friends are all ponies but Sabretooth is like something else, he looks like a giant cat but with long sharp teeth and sharp claws," Lightning Dust said. "He was the one who attacked your farm, he tried doing the same to Fluttershy's cottage!"
"There really is a monster!?" Cozy Glow asked in worry. "But Spider-Mane will stop him, right?"
"Wolverine is trying to stop him right now, so is Laura" Lightning Dust reassured. "Gambit here tried his best in the fight, obviously it's how he ended up like this."
"Give him here." Applejack gently assisted Remy off of Lightning Dust's back, the Pegasus helping place Remy on her own back. "I'm gonna take you back home and get you patched up."
"What would I do without you my sweet?" Remy asked.
"That's what I'm asking mahself, I ain't gonna let you die on me, we still got a baby on the way," Applejack said, trotting back to her farm with Cozy Glow by her side, quickly but gently as she focused on Lightning Dust and Fluttershy. "I'll leave the rest to the two of you."
"We won't let you down," Lightning Dust said, saluting the mare.
Fluttershy couldn't help but notice that Lightning Dust had an injury of her own, "Oh no, your hind leg."
"Huh?" Lightning looked to her wound. "It's nothing, one of the guys shot my leg."
"You need that treated before you can go on," Fluttershy said.
"Hey come on, I've had worse," Lightning Dust insisted.
"That doesn't mean you neglect your health," Fluttershy said. "You should go with Applejack, take Rina with you. I need to go find Peter."
"You want me to leave you by yourself?" Lightning Dust asked. "Logan would go ballistic if I did that!"
"He won't, I won't allow that," Fluttershy said and she gave Rina to Lightning Dust. "Just do what I ask of you please."
"But...ugh, alright," Lightning Dust took Rina and started to leave, albeit reluctantly. "The moment this gets patched up, I'm going back out there!"
"I know you will," Fluttershy said, looking toward the direction of her cottage. "I know I said I would go find Peter but...I gotta protect my family!" She flew in the direction to home, hoping to provide any type of assistance.
As Fluttershy went back the direction of the forest, Omega Red, along with Agent Zero who were hiding, turned their attention to Applejack and the others. "We attack now."
As Applejack and her group went toward the farm, Omega Red had leapt in front of them, stopping them in their tracks.
"What in tarnation!?" Applejack asked.
"It's two of the guys who were attacking us!" Lightning Dust said.
"You are not going anywhere," Omega Red said, readying his tentacle whips. Just before he could attack, he got hit from behind with a gunshot. He turned and saw another face he disliked almost as much as Logan's. "Wilson..."
From the distance, Deadpool, with Pinkie Pie by his side, had indeed fired at Omega Red. "It's one of those days huh? Can't even foo shop in peace."
"Wade, who is that?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"An old enemy," Deadpool said. "Do me a favor and go home, quickly. This guy's gonna be trouble, and I don't want you or our twins in danger."
Omega Red marched toward them, "Perhaps this is good luck, now I can kill you in addition to Wolverine."
Deadpool turned to Applejack, "All of you! Run! Quickly!"
"You got it!" Applejack said. "Hang on Remy!"
She began to dash off with her friends. Zero tried to stop them but Deadpool had shot the gun out of his hoof. He was going to shot again, but Omega Red had knocked him aside.
"Zero! After Gambit and his allies! I will destroy Wilson!" Omega Red ordered.
Agent Zero grabbed his gun again and pursued Applejack's group as Deadpool got back up. "Not good!" He brought out his swords and ran at Omega Red. "Pinkie! Run! I'll keep him busy!"
Deadpool clashed with Omega Red as Pinkie grabbed the grocery bags and reluctantly left her husband behind. "Kick some butt!"
"Will do!" Deadpool said, clashing again with Omega Red. "Time to settle the score."
"It will be pleasure!" Omega Red shouted, the two heavily engaging in their battle.
In the forest area, Sabretooth is seen moving through rather quickly, still trying to avoid Logan and heal up from his injuries. "Hate to admit this, but that runt's gotten stronger, I don't know if it's because him being a puny little pony helped his skills or I'm just not tapping into my full potential."
"CREED!" Logan's voice echoed through the area.
"Little punk's way too persistent," Sabretooth said. "Just need a little more time, then he along with his little clone are dead, same with that stupid card deal and staff wielding jackass and that other flying pony."
Logan continued to stomp through the forest area, keeping an eye out for Sabretooth, and making sure he wasn't ambushed by a wild animal. He sniffed around, trying to find Sabretooth's scent, the trail of blood left behind also provided some good assistance.
"I know yer around here you bastard!" Logan kept his claws ready. "When I find you, yer dead!"
Sabretooth stayed out of sight a bit more, he just needed another minute to feel at full strength. Though he did nee to find some advantage given the fact that Logan's likely all healed himself, but one came in an unexpected way.
As he slowly left the forest to avoid Logan's gaze, he noticed an oncoming pony, that being Fluttershy. She seemed to be heading in the direction of her cottage. Sabretooth took a guess that she probably lived there, and if his hunch was right, this might be Logan's wife. He figured it was worth taking the chance.
"I'm coming Logan!" Fluttershy shouted, getting closer to her cottage. "You too Laura! Please be safe!" As she ran, Sabretooth blocked her path, Fluttershy immediately stopped as she came face to face with this behemoth. "Wh-who are...? Wait, are you...S-s-s..."
"Sabretooth?" The mutant asked, getting a gulp and nod from the mare. "Why yes I am, I take it you've heard of me."
"Y-you're the one who...who..." Fluttershy swallowed her fears, letting her loving wife side take over as she put on a brave face, "You're the one who's rivals with my husband!"
"So you are Logan's wife, I wasn't sure at first," Sabretooth said. "It's very nice to meet you, yes I am Sabretooth but you can also call me Victor."
"I'll stick with Sabretooth, if you don't mind that is," Fluttershy said, while normally sincere, this time around it came off with a bit of sass.
"Whatever floats your boat," Sabretooth said. "Now I've been having a bit of trouble lately, I just reunited with Logan, someone I would call my little brother, and I thought we could have a nice touching reunion, but he seems to be a bit...unreasonable. Now that is pretty normal for Logan, he's always been prideful and a bit full of himself, but that is part of his charm so to say. I was hoping that perhaps you could help me reason with him."
"How exactly do you want me to do that?" Fluttershy asked, trying to remain calm but her nerves were starting to get the better of her.
"I think I know a way, tell me, how loud do you scream?" Sabretooth asked.
Within moments, Logan could hear the fearful cries of a mare, one he recognized immediately as his heart completely sank, "FLUTTERSHY!"
Back with Sabretooth, the villain had the mare by her mane, lifting her off the ground, looking ready to strike. "Come on now, it can't hurt that badly, can't you use your wings to help you fly."
"Please, stop!" Fluttershy cried. "Why are you doing this!?"
"I have my reasons, though I am currious, if grabbing your mane was enough to hurt you," Sabretooth held out his claws. "How would you react to a little blood?"
"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HER!" Logan rushed out of the forest, a look of death in his eyes as he rushed over and impaled Sabretooth from the side.
The villain quickly elbowed Logan once, knocking him off balance and again to completely knock him back, the hero stumbling a bit. Logan was about to strike again when Sabretooth held Fluttershy in front of him like a shield, holding his claws to her neck. "I don't think so."
"Fucking coward! Put my wife down right now!" Logan shouted, looking moments away from brutalizing the beast.
"But we were just having a nice conversation, honestly Logan , getting married again?" Sabretooth asked. "I'm a bit surprised at you, I mean after Silverfox I thought it finally clicked with you that you and love can't coexist."
"Huh? Silverfox?" Fluttershy asked.
"You never told her? What a shame," Sabretooth asked. "You really did your best to put her behind you."
"Do NOT bring Silverfox into this! Especially after what YOU did to her! What you've always done every time I was near a girl!" Logan shouted.
"Why even put yourself through that Logan? What are you hoping to accomplish?" Sabretooth asked. "I mean, when you married this girl, did you really not think that she wouldn't suffer the same fate? Did you really think hiding in some fantasy looking world would help you?"
"I didn't come here to hide, I came for a fresh start, and the last thing I need is you coming back into my life and threatening those that I love!" Logan said.
"Lot of good that did you, isn't that right little wife girl?" Sabretooth asked.
"Don't call me that!" Fluttershy said, then felt her mane tighten as Sabretooth pressed her claws against her neck.
"I suggest you watch your tone, or you're going to end up like the last girl Logan loved," Sabretooth warned. "Of course, it might just happen anyway, but I'll try to make it quick."
"Put, my wife, down..." Logan was really beginning to lose his patience after seeing his wife in any type of pain.
"Why don't you make me?" Sabretooth taunted, beginning to cut the side of Fluttershy's neck.
Logan was starting to really lose his temper, and in an instant he lunged in to attack, hoping to serve around and find an opening to attack Sabretooth, but at the last second the mutant had tossed Fluttershy aside and aggressively slashed Logan across the chest and punched him down.
"Logan!" Fluttershy shouted in worry.
"Stay back!" Logan warned, not wanting his wife to get hurt. He rushed in to attack some more but Sabretooth had grabbed his hoof and punched him hard in the stomach, and once across the face, then lifted him up for a massive headbutt.
"Please stop!" Fluttershy begged. "There's no need for this!"
"I have to disagree," Sabretooth said, kicking Logan back. "This has been a long time coming." Sabretooth again punched Logan, knocking him back to the floor.
That didn't stop Logan from getting back up and trying again but Sabretooth had dodged his attacks and attacked Logan again hard, getting him across the jaw with a vicious blow.
Logan spat some blood out, glaring at his rival. "I'm not dead yet." He tried attacking again, managing to get a large cut in, but it just infuriated Sabretooth and he returned the cut with a mighty swipe of his claws, then began punching him, knocking his rival around, elbowing him to the ground as he kicked his ribs.
"Now to end this," Sabretooth said, ready to strike again.
"That's enough!" Fluttershy rushed over, placing herself over her husband, tears in her eyes from having seen him brutalized like this. "What's the matter with you!? Why are you doing this!? What could my husband have done to you!?"
"Out of my way!" Sabretooth whacked Fluttershy aside, knocking her across the ground.
Seeing someone hit his wife just lit more of a fire under Logan as he angrily began to rush Sabretooth, slashing him ruthlessly, the villain's blood spilling all over the ground. Sabretooth finally fought back, punching Logan across his jaw and impaling his own claws through his rival.
"Logan!" Fluttershy shouted in worry as Sabretooth lifted Logan off the ground, letting his blood drip.
"This might be a surprise, you dying before your girl does? Eh, keeps things interesting," Sabretooth said, punching Logan across the jaw again, knocking him to the ground as the X-Men Hero began coughing up some blood. Sabretooh placed his claw on Logan's head, ready for his final strike. "I'm gonna end this once and for all."
"No..." Fluttershy started tearing up, hating this feeling of helplessness. "NO!" She started to get riled up and angry, seeing someone hurt her loving husband was sending her over the edge. "I...won't...LET YOU!
Fluttershy flew in and kicked Sabretooth right in his jaw with both hindlegs, breaking one of his teeth in the process as he stumbled back in shock.
Fluttershy aggressively shouted as she reeled back and delivered a massive uppercut to knock Sabretooth into the air and falling to the ground.
The normally kind mare was angrily panting and huffing, still feeling a rush of adrenaline, but that started to fade when she remembered her husband. "Logan!" Fluttershy quickly turned to her husband, checking over his injuries. Thankfully they seemed to be healing but much slower than normal, likely due to the fatigue from the fight. "Logan, are you awake?"
Logan had begun to stir, still feeling the effects of Sabretooth's assault. "Fluttershy? Wait, where's..."
From nearby, Sabretooth had recovered, but he was mad, blood was trickling down from the tooth Fluttershy had kicked out. "So, you got some fight in you, little pony?"
"Wait, you attacked him!?" Logan asked.
"I might have lost it when I saw him hurting you," Fluttershy had sheepishly stated.
"...Good thing I never forget our anniversary," Logan replied, still amazed that his wife actually attacked Sabretooth.
Sabretooth readied his claws, "This humiliation will not stand, prepare to die!" Sabretooth rushed in to attack but Logan had blocked with his claws, though immediately took a punch and a large slash from the tiger-ish villain.
"Logan!" Fluttershy went to help but Sabretoth grabbed her by the neck, squeezing her tight in attempt to crush her larynx.
"I'm done with you, both of you," Sabretooth said. Logan tried to save Fluttershy but Sabretooth had knocked him right back down, slamming his foot over Logan's chest. "I'll kill you Logan, but not before you see one more girl of yours die!"
"No! Fluttershy!" Logan struggled to escape and rescue his wife before her neck got crushed. Sabretooth had applied more pressure to keep him down.
Fluttershy struggled to fight Sabretooth off but she started to pass out from the lack of oxygen. Sabretooth readied to deal the final blow when another hero had arrived and kicked Sabretooth, the mutant releasing her from his grip.
The hero in question, that being Peter, had quickly rushed to check on Fluttershy, "Hey, are you with me Fluttershy?"
The mare coughed a bit, finally able to breath again, "Peter?"
"Good, you're alright," Peter said, helping her sit up. "I'm glad."
"Never thought I'd be so relieved to see you Peter," Logan said. "How'd you know we were here?"
"I sensed danger in this direction, so I came as fast as I could," Peter said.
"I'm so glad you're here," Fluttershy said. "But what about Ant Man? Did you find him too?" Fluttershy asked.
"I did, when I told him there might be danger, I asked him to go to Canterlot and let Twilight know," Peter said. "He of course hated the idea of being a messenger boy but it was an important task."
"Spider-Man..." Sabretooth said. "Even as a pony I recognize you, especially with that tattoo of yours."
"It's called a Cutie Mark dude, anyway how did you even get here?" Peter asked.
"Some weirdo Mystique introduced me to, not important right now, what's important is that now you're being added to my list of problems I need taken care of."
"What, you're gonna call an exterminator on me?" Peter joked. "Look dude you're outmatched, why don't you make it easy for everyone and turn yourself in. If you're a good enough kitty, I'll give you warm milk."
"I'd rather have your blood!" Sabretooth shouted.
"Good luck not dying from the radioactive properties," Peter quipped.
Sabretooth stared down al three of them, truthfully he might have some trouble with both Logan and Spider-Man but he was confident that he could figure something out, plus he still has his allies, wherever they were at the moment.
It was gonna be a ruthless fight, the heroes needed to bring down the Weapon X team for good, otherwise it would spell the end of Ponyville.
The group of Applejack, Remy, Lightning Dust, Cozy Glow and Rina had finally arrived at Sweet Apple Acres where Big Macintosh, Cherilee, Apple Bloom Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Rumble had placed more animals back in their homes.
"Hey sis!" Apple Bloom said, rushing over to the now arriving group, taking note of her brother-in-law on Applejack's back. Needless to say she was quite terrified of seeing him in such a condition. "What happened to Remy!?"
"Just a scratch," Remy joked.
Applejack shook her head at her husband's tough guy attitude, but she can't fault him for that, he is a hero and part of that means ensuring a lack of panic, and admitting his pain would cause a panic for Apple Bloom.
"Listen up, we got trouble again, some villains came through another portal and are attacking Ponyville," Applejack said. "From the sounds of things, they seem to know Logan, their leader is our fer revenge against him."
"Does Logan need help?" Apple Bloom asked. "Anything we can do?"
"Fer starters, you can stay here where it's safe," Applejack said. "Whoever it is that came is very dangerous."
"Yeah he's the worse," Remy said, trying to get off his wife's back. "This guy can rival Logan in ferocity."
"Easy there," Big Mac said, going to help his brother-in-law.
"Come on now, we'll get you patched up," Cherilee said.
"Y'all do that, I'm gonna go back into town and see if there's any way I can-" Applejack was interrupted when a bullet knocked her head off her head. "What in the-"
"Get down!" Remy shouted, everyone ducking before another bullet came. "Dang, must be that Agent Zero fellow."
"Agent Zero?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Think Hawkeye but with guns," Remy said, another gunshot going off, this one hitting Big Macintosh on his shoulder. "Big Mac!"
"No! big brother!" Apple Bloom shouted, wanting to go help, though in an instant, Lightning Dust flew in to swoop her out the way from another incoming bullet.
Applejack frantically looked around, "Dang, guess he got away from Deadpool." She turned to Lighting Dust. "Hate to ask a favor while yer hurt but can ya quickly get mah suit? It's in mah room, you've been around mah house so you know where?"
"I got it!" She quickly flew inside, dodging bullets in the process.
"Wait, what are you gonna do sis?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Keep mah family safe," Applejack explained.
Lightning Dust came back outside with her suit, "I kind of got blood on your floor, sorry."
"Don't worry about it," Applejack said, quickly slipping inside, ready to fight. She then ran out into the open, looking for Agent Zero. "Where are ya coward!?"
"Applejack be careful out there! " Remy warned. Much as he admired his wife's bravery, she was also being a bit foolish, endangering herself and her child. "That should be me out there!"
"You need to heal!" Apple Bloom said. "Applejack's got this, she can do anything!"
"Not wrong," Remy said, smiling to himself. "It's why I'm proud to be her husband."
Applejack quickly dodged each incoming gunshot, trying to get an idea of where Agent Zero was. She seemed to notice that the shots have been coming from various different angles, hinting that he's moving around.
"Gotta find him before it's too late!" Applejack said, running and trying to keep an eye and ear out for the gunshots.
"Wow, Applejack's kind of nuts," Lightning Dust said. That earned her a brief glare from her family. "A cool type of nuts though."
"She needs help!" Rumble said, about to fly in.
"Rumble wait!" Apple Bloom called. Too late, he was gone. "Is he nuts!?"
"Rumble! You got this!" Cozy Glow encouraged.
Apple Bloom glared at the other filly, "Hey! Don't encourage what he's doing! He could get hurt!"
"Oh he'll be fine, he looks pretty tough," Cozy Glow said. "Besides how tough can that one guy be?"
"OW!" Came Rumble's voice in the distance. The colt had taken a bullet through his wing.
"RUMBLE!" Apple Bloom was about to rush out there but Cherilee blocked her path.
"You are not going out there young filly!" Cherilee scolded.
"But Rumble!" Apple Bloom was freaking out. "He needs help!"
"It's too dangerous for you to do that!" Cherilee said, then turned to Lightning Dust. "I know you're hurt and you just did something for Applejack already but I don't suppose-"
"I've had worse than this, and I got the stamina," Lightning Dust said. "I'll go save him, even if I end up taking another bullet."
Lightning Dust flew out to find Rumble, with her speed she could be able to get him and bringing back, though she was worried about Applejack. Maybe she should come back to help her since her wound wasn't that bad, or so she didn't think it was that bad.
Nearby she had spotted Rumble, the colt angrily looking around, trying to find Agent Zero. "Is that all you got!? I fought stronger villains, you're worth nothing-"
"Watch out!" Lightning Dust rushed in to push Rumble out the way of an oncoming bullet, but in the process she took another bullet to the shoulder.
"That pony just won't give up," Agent Zero said, rushing around to get a better angle. "Time to take her down for good!"
"That ain't happening you flea bitten mongrel!" Applejack rushed in to tackle Agent Zero, knocking him to the ground. "This is fer mah brother!" Applejack tried punching down but Zero dodged and punched the farmer mare off him.
"Fine, I'll kill you first!" Agent Zero aimed his gun at Applejack, ready to fire when he felt a kick from behind.
"Don't you hurt The Professor!" Silversteam had said, going for another kick, but this one was blocked by Agent Zero, the villain punching Silverstream in the stomach and aiming his gun.
"Die!" Just when Zero fired, Applejack had knocked into him, but the bullet still hit Silverstream in the shoulder, the Hippogriff letting out a yelp of pain.
"Silverstream!" Ocellus shouted in worry. Something started to fester inside the young Changeling. "No, I can't lose another friend to a villain!"
"Ocellus, what are you up to!?" Scootaloo asked. Without warning, Ocellus sped off into the direction of Agent Zero, the villain ready to make his next move.
"You should have stayed down!" Agent Zero punched Applejack, then he punched Silverstream when she made a desperate attempt to attack.
"Gotta protect my friends!" Ocellus began transforming, taking the form of Yak as she rushed in and tackled Agent Zero.
"What the hell!?" Zero looked surprised to see this new creature.
"Don't hurt my friends!" Ocellus transformed into a unicorn and used some magic to lift Agent Zero and slam him around a couple of times. She then transformed into a Timber-Wolf and whacked Agent Zero away.
Applejack seemed amazed by what she had seen, this timid young Changeling willingly fought off a villain, and she was pretty impressive about it too. "Thanks fer the help."
Ocellus turned back to normal, shyly greeting Applejack. "It's no trouble, I'm happy to help." She took note of Silverstream her friend still injured from the gunshot, but fortunately it didn't seem like too bad of a wound.
"Wow that hurt," Silverstream said, checking her shoulder.
"Silverstream!" Ocellus checked on her friend. "We'll get that treated right away!"
"It's fine, it doesn't hurt that much," Silverstream said, though the pain on her face says otherwise.
"Still, that's not something to just brush off," Ocellus said. "If the Changelings that got attacked during the Peace Treaty signing, including my father, if they acted like it was nothing it would be so much worse for them."
"Hey don't worry Ocellus, I'll get this treated," Silverstream reassured. "Then we'll-"
"Watch out!" Rumble called, everyone turning to a recovered Agent Zero, who held his gun out.
"It's over for you!" He was about to fire when Applejack quickly wrapped a lasso around his hoof and pulled him in for a buck kick that knocked him out cold.
"That'll teach ya," Applejack said, grabbing some rope to tie the villain up.
"Nice kick Professor!" Silverstream complimented. "Way to show that baddie!"
Applejack finished tying Agent Zero up and turned her attention to the others nearby, "I'm gonna go help round up the rest, keep an eye on this varmint."
"You got it!" Ocellus said, saluting the farm mare as she ran into town.
Back in town, Omega Red continued his attack on Deadpool, trying to whack the highly evasive ninja with his whips. Deadpool had leapt off buildings and rooftops, firing his guns from many different angles.
"You delay your own destruction!" Omega Red sent out a tentacle, whacking Deadpool aside, the ninja rolling through.
"How are you gonna destroy me? I'm practically immortal!" Deadpool rushed in to kick Omega Red back, then followed up by tossing a barrel at his head, drawing more ire from the villain.
"There is a way to bring you down, everyone has to die sometime," Omega Red said.
"Well it sure as hell won't due to you!" Deadpool said, firing at Omega Red, the mutant dodging to the side and sending a whip that tossed Deadpool away, the merc landing promptly on his hooves.
"So what brings you to this world anyway? Want a piece of pony magic?" Deadpool asked, sidestepping an attack.
"Net, I vant a piece of you as my trophy," Omega Red said, attacking again.
"That's-" Deadpool whacked a tentacle away with his sword. "A very weird way to put it." He whacked away another tentacle. "Is this because I called you a 'bed-wetter'? I only say it because I care."
"Enough!" Omega Red attacked again, this time whacking Deadpool into the side of the Flower store. "I grow tired of your constant chatter!" He pulled Deadpool in for a punch that knocked him loopy. "I will fulfil a promise I made, and tear out that bothersome tongue of yours."
"Wait, you were serious?" Deadpool asked. his question was answered by a stomp to his neck. "You know, in Equestria we talk things out."
"Enough! You vill die!" Omega Red was about to attack, then took a magic blast to the back. "Who dares..."
He turned to see a freaked out looking Trixie, almost regretting her choice to attack the evil mutant, "First I lose track of that filly and now I'm probably going to be killed by some random villain."
"I do not know who you are, but if you are a friend of Wilson, then you must die as well," Omega Red said.
"To be fair, we're not exactly, friends per say," Trixie said. "He's more the husband of a friend of my friend."
"You know you like me," Deadpool teased.
"Be quiet," Trixie warned.
"Enough!" Omega Red grabbed Trixie with his tentacles. "Regardless of how you are associated with Wilson, it is still association!"
"Seems a bit of a petty reason to-" Trixie was crushed before she could finish her sentence. She attempted to wriggle out of her position, to no avail.
"Struggle all you want, it makes your death more amusing," Omega Red said as he began to crush her.
"I got ya Trixie!" Deadpool grabbed his gun to shoot Omega Red, however he had a tentacle wrapped around his neck as he was lifted off the ground, Omega Red trying to crush his throat.
"Both of you will die today!" Omega Red said. "Though perhaps I won't be too quick to kill you Wilson, I want to enjoy this."
"Sadist..." Deadpool struggled to say.
"Say what you will, actually..." Omega Red squeezed tighter around the mercenary's neck. "I'd rather you just cease your chatter."
Trixie mustered up some strength and power as she sent a blast at Omega Red, the attack causing some minor annoyance but unfortunately not enough to really cause any major damage.
"Put up as much of a fight as you want, it makes no difference in the end!" Omega Red put more of a squeeze on Trixie, the mare feeling some ribs break. Deadpool struggled to break free, to which Omega Red then tossed him through a nearby window. "I won't kill you just yet, but this one dies first."
Deadpool quickly stuck his gun out the window, ready to shoot but Omega Red had placed Trixie between them. "Wow really? A pony shield?"
"It is amusing, and can do many wonders, for example," Omega Red then quickly tossed Trixie into the air, distracting Deadpool long enough to run in and grab him again, bringing him out and throwing him right at Trixie, the two colliding in mid air as they fell to the ground.
"Dang, that smarts," Trixie started to stand but by the time she got on her hooves, Omega Red again grabbed, this time by her neck as he began to crush her throat.
"Hm, maybe I can keep you alive a little longer too, then again it depends on how resilient you are," Omega Red taunted.
Deadpool then stabbed through his chest with his sword, "Forget me?"
"Unfortunately I can't," Omega Red back elbowed Deadpool and sent his tentacle through his torso. "You are like a scar to my memories, one that can never go away."
"I have that affect on people," Deadpool was about to shoot but once again Trixie was used as a shield. "That's getting on my nerves!"
"You mistake me for someone who has a care to give," Omega Red then used Trixie to whack Deadpool, continuing his assault by slamming the mare onto the mercenary. "This pony makes for good weapon."
Suddenly in a flash, Omega Red had been kicked hard enough to release Trixie as he went flying into another building. Pulling himself out, he set his sights on the one who attacked him, and she looked ready for more.
"Want more? Bring it!" The pony in question was Rainbow Dash, who looked ready for a fight.
"I do not know who you are," Omega Red said, marching toward the pony. "But when I am done with you-" Suddenly he took a magic blast from the side.
"You abhorrent creature, I will not allow you to do any more damage to this town!" Rarity shouted, smoke emitting from her horn.
"More ponies?" Omega Red grew irritated. "I vill bring an end to you fools!"
"Yeah, I don't think so," Johnny said, landing nearby Omega Red.
"This is our town, you ain't messing it up!" Bobby said, sliding in on his ice.
"More heroes? Makes no difference," Omega Red said, getting his tentacles ready. "I vill crush you!"
"Bobby, ready for operation 'Cool Heat'?" Johnny asked.
"You got it bro! Team attack!" Bobby rushed in for a punch which Omega Red blocked, but he was left open for a kick from Johnny. Bobby then slid in and hit an uppercut while Johnny kicked from above.
"Fools!" Omega Red tried to whack the two but they dodged aside as Bobby froze one of his hooves and Johnny blasted him with fire, knocking him back.
"Team attack time!" Bobby said as he and Johnny surrounded Omega Red on both sides.
"It's over tentacle boy, see what happens when you're caught in the middle of hot and cold!" Johnny sent fire just as Bobby sent ice, the two trapping Omega Red in a beam of two elements, the evil mutant screaming in pain.
"Now's my chance!" Deadpool rushed in at Omega Red, ready to end this. "Torch! Icey! Pull back!" The moment the two let go of their elements, Deadpool rushed over with a mighty punch that knocked Omega Red to the floor. "Now freeze him!"
"On it!" Bobby used his powers to trap Omega Red in an ice bind, "Got that taken care of."
"No doubt," Johnny said, looking over the villain. "Man these villains just keep coming, annoying as hell."
"There might be more," Trixie said, making her way over. "I think I heard a ruckus earlier, plus the way Applejack was talking earlier, it seems like another-" Trixie started coughing a bit, blood flying out of her mouth.
"Whoa, you don't look so good," Rainbow Dash said, checking on the showmare. "That guy must have done serious damage to you."
"I feel a few broken ribs, that's what I get for getting myself mixed up with villains," Trixie said, wiping the blood out of her mouth.
"Rarity, mind getting Trixie back to her house?" Bobby asked. "Johnny, Dash and I will see who else is out there."
"You got it dear," Rarity said, gesturing to Trixie. "Come along now."
"I appreciate that, thanks," Trixie said, going with Rarity back to her home, leaving the heroes to figure out the next step in their plan.
"To Trixie's point, there is at least one more," Deadpool said. "One of the guys was trailing Applejack back to her farm. Get this, when I saw Gambit with her, he looked pretty badly hurt, like someone went to town on him."
"Someone got to Remy?" Johnny asked.
"Yeah, and I think I know who it is," Deadpool said. "Given that Omega Red is here, Agent Zero went after Applejack, the only other guy that travels with them that can do that type of damage is Sabretooth."
"Whoa hold on, Sabretooth!?" Bobby shouted. "As in, Logan's enemy? The guy who's been fighting Logan for like, decades!?"
"That very same," Deadpool said. "He's somewhere in Equestria, we gotta find him now, otherwise he'll do some pretty bad damage. This town is still recovering from what Magneto did, and Sabretooth along with his goons would destroy it."
"Well we sure ain't gonna let that happen," Rainbow Dash said. "Let's split up. Johnny and I can go to Sweet Apple Acres to find this Agent Zero guy. Deadpool and Bobby can look for Sabretooth."
"Wait why do I have to look for Sabretooth!?" Bobby asked, looking a little freaked out.
Rainbow Dash face-hoofed at Bobby's reaction, little degrading to his dignity in her mind, "Fine, I'll look for Sabretooth and you go with Johnny."
"Oh hell no, I'm not letting my wife near that brute," Johnny said. "Bobby, man up and go find Sabretooth."
"You man up!" Bobby retorted.
"Hey I can take Sabretooth, unlike you ya wuss," Johnny taunted. "Or would you rather go check up on Trixie and let Rarity help, I bet she'd be willing to find Sabretooth."
"Guys," Deadpool said, trying to get their attention.
"Dude my wife is not going after some destructive monster!" Bobby shouted.
"Guys!" Deadpool said again.
"So it's alright if my wife goes?" Johnny asked.
"She offered, and she's more of a fighter than Rarity!" Bobby insisted.
"More than you too ya big sissy," Johnny taunted.
"Hey dumbasses!" Deadpool shouted. "Villains! Remember! Agent Zero! Sabretooth! Hell Lady Deathstrike is probably here too and she's pretty fucking viscous herself!"
"Look, I'll go find that Sabretooth guy, you two can help Applejack, end of discussion!" Rainbow Dash said and flew off.
"Dashie wait!" Johnny called out, but his wife was already long gone. "Crap."
Deadpool went in Rainbow Dash's direction, "I'll go help track down Sabretooth, me and him go back after all. You two check up on Sweet Apple Acres, hopefully Zero isn't giving them too much trouble."
That just left the fire and ice duo, both of them not too sure what to do next. Johnny felt some worry in knowing his wife was going after Sabretooth, but he knew to have some confidence in her, "Eh, she's held her own against tougher guys, I mean Sabretooth is dangerous but nothing compared to Annihilus right?"
"Did he nearly kill her?" Bobby asked.
"Yeah I don't wanna hear it from the guy who was too much of a wussy punk to find an oversized cat, I'm gonna go check on the Apples you do whatever the hell you want," Johnny said, flying off toward the farm.
"Pfft, don't act like you're better than me Candlestick," Bobby slid the direction that Johnny went, wanting to at least check on his fellow X-Men buddy.
Back near the forest area, the fight against Sabretooth had resumed, with Peter rushing in for a punch that Sabretooth parried, the mutant slashing Peter on the back. Peter turned around with a backfist that knocked Sabretooth aside while Logan rushed in with a kick to his face.
Peter used his webbing to latch onto Sabretooth's feet and launched him toward some trees, then again to the other side, sending him through the forest.
"Can't lose track of him," Logan said, rushing after his enemy's direction.
Peter quickly turned to Fluttershy, "We'll handle it from here, think you can get home safely?"
"Even if I go home, more of them might be there," Fluttershy said.
"More? Oh right, Sabretooth's buddies," Peter realized. "Uh, try going to my house, you should be safer there."
Just before the mare to take off, Logan had been knocked out of the forest, landing close to Fluttershy. Sabretooth stepped out, whacking an attacking Peter aside as he marched toward Logan, his claws ready to do more damage.
"Logan!" Fluttershy assisted her husband off the ground. "How are you doing? Want me to get you out of here?"
Suddenly Sabretooth rushed in and grabbed Fluttershy by her face, holding her up, "Leaving so soon? Don't tell me that cheap attack from earlier was all the fight you had in you."
Upon seeing his wife in danger, Logan quickly lunged in with both his claws piercing into Sabretooth's back, "Drop her! NOW!"
Sabretooth tossed Fluttershy aside and knocked Logan back, releasing his hold and slashed Logan across the face, and once again up his torso. Logan returned it with several claw attacks of his own, cutting his enemy all over his upper body and face.
"The more you resist, the more entertaining it gets," Sabretooth taunted, punching Logan back. "I like myself a good challenge, because when I inevitably win, it's just more undeniable proof that I'm on top of the world. I'm the true best there is, those crackpot doctors made a mistake choosing you for their Weapon X program, especially when they had someone like me!"
"Still feeling bitter about that?" Logan taunted through a blood seeping smile, "Maybe you just haven't realized what I have all those years ago. Bub, you ain't as good as you think you are."
"We'll see if you still have that smug grin when I tear your damned head off!" Sabretooth was about to strike but Logan had been him to it by jamming his claws into the mutant's body.
"Too slow!" Logan pulled back and jammed again, Sabretooth spitting out some blood as Logan continued to claw. Sabretooth grew angry and got a good strike in, knocking Logan to the floor. Just as he was about to continue, Peter had lunged in with a kick to knock Sabretooth back.
"Logan!" Peter checked on his oldest ally, making sure it wasn't anything too bad.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me," Logan insisted, putting trust in his healing factor.
"I've had it up to here with you, stupid bug!" Sabretooth shouted.
"Technically I'm an arachnid, not a-" Peter's lecture was interrupted by a punch that knocked him into a tree. "Wow he's fast."
"I guarantee that all three of you will be dead by the time this is over," Sabretooth turned his attention to Fluttershy. "Maybe I'll start with you!"
"Get back!" Fluttershy said, trying to get into a defensive position. "I...I went against Nightmare Moon! A-a-and, I fought Changelings, sorta, a-and I went against Discord! I-I even went against the Capcom-"
"Hold on a second," Sabretooth interrupted. "Discord? You went against that weirdo?"
There was no immediate answer as Logan had rushed in to impale Sabretooth in the back with his claws. Peter then rushed to the side and kicked Sabretooth in the face as Logan used the momentum to fling Sabretooth into a nearby boulder, the mutant cracking his skull against the little rock formation.
"Spidey, I'll continue from here, get Fluttershy to safety," Logan said.
"You sure dude? You look hurt," Peter said.
"It'll heal, now get going," Logan ordered.
"Logan, you might be able to heal but even that has it's limits," Fluttershy said. "Healing requires energy and while you have a lot of stamina, this fight is taking a lot out of you."
"Your wife knows you pretty well Logan," Sabretooth taunted.
"Excuse me, but this applies to you as well," Fluttershy said. "If you keep fighting my husband, you're going to risk dying yourself, and I'd rather he not have that on his conscious."
"Conscious?" Sabretooth laughed hard at that. "I take it back, you don't know him well at all. He's a monster just like me, we've both hurt people, we've done worse than that too. We were agents who specialized in hunting down targets, usually for termination. If you knew all the things he's done, I doubt you'd even want to stay with him."
"Hey back off, Logan isn't that guy anymore!" Peter shouted. "He's a good man who wants to be a good father and husband and a role model for younger kids! You're still the same brute who enjoys terrorizing innocents for your own sick pleasure."
"At least I'm willing to admit that, Logan here seems to keep a lot of secrets," Sabretooth taunted. "Hey runt, did you even tell your wife why you're the so-called 'Best there is at what you do'?"
"Do you really want me to shame you with my accolades?" Logan taunted.
"Oh, still got jokes? Gotta admit, at least you're funnier than that dumbass Wilson was, tell me, he's in town right? How about pointing me in his direction?" Sabretooth asked, readying his claws. "I'd like to pay him a visit after I'm done."
"Sorry, but I ain't endangering the nice ponies who took him in," Logan said. "If you're right about one thing is that neither of us are pure, far from it. God probably ain't welcoming me into his Kingdom, and he sure as hell won't welcome you, but the ponies in this world are pure, much more than us, and I will not let you drench that purity in their blood."
"Fine, don't tell me, I'll just find out on my own anyway," Sabretooth said, readying his claws again. "Besides, my main goal is killing you, and of course I'll add Spidey and your wife to that, same with that stupid clone of yours, assuming Deathstrike didn't finish her off already."
"Lady Deathstrike's here!?" Peter asked.
"Back at that cottage Logan lives at now, last I saw she along with her stupid Pegasus friend and that half-dead Cajun were surrounded by Lady Deathstrike and my other buddies Omega Red and Agent Zero," Sabretooth explained.
"Cajun!?" Peter asked in worry. "Dude, what the hell did you and your goons do to Gambit!?"
"Same thing I'm going to do to you," Sabretooth said.
"Bitch!" the group heard from nearby. At that moment, Lady Deathstrike had been knocked into vision with a blood drenched Laura rushing after her, trying to attack much more viciously with her claws.
"Just a scratch," Laura insisted, confusing Fluttershy since it clearly wasn't a mere scratch that left that much blood on her body. Laura noticed that Peter was nearby, as was Sabretooth. "Glad you could join us Spidey."
"Hey where's Remy? I heard he was with you but injured," Peter said.
"Lightning Dust took him to find Applejack, but Omega Red and Agent Zero went after them," Laura said. "I tried to stop them but this old hag got in my way."
Lady Deathstrike did not take too kindly to that insult, though in addition to seeing Spider-Man here, she noticed another pony. "Who's the pink haired one?"
"Logan's wife, don't let her frail looks fool you, she can hit hard," Sabretooth said, pointing to his broken tooth.
"Holy shit! Fluttershy you broke his tooth!?" Laura asked in amazement.
The mare bashfully rubbed her head, "I'm not proud of getting so violent but I needed to protect my husband."
"Hey no shame in getting a bit violent, you're one of us now after all," Laura said.
Logan groaned a bit in annoyance, "Don't condone our violent past Laura, I don't want to drag Fluttershy into that."
"Getting soft Logan?" Sabretooth taunted.
"Not yet," Logan looked ready to pounce again. "We done talking words? Because personally I like having conversations like this with my claws."
"I actually prefer a game of chess," Peter quipped.
"Alright then Spidey, King Me," Sabretooth said, ready to strike.
"Dude I said chess, not check-" Sabretooth interrupted with a punch. "Hey would you let me finish a-" Sabretooth hit an uppercut to knock Peter into the air. "Of course." Sabretooth then grabbed his hind leg and slammed him down.
"I got you Parker!" Laura rushed to attack Sabretooth but Lady Deathstrike got in her way.
"Die!" Deathstrike went for a blow but Laura blocked and kicked her aside, Logan rushing over to kick her down again.
Sabretooth tried attacking from behind but Laura jumped in with her hind leg claw and kick slashed Sabretooth across the chest and punched him back.
Deathstrike stood again to attack but Logan got in her way, his claws out and ready for more, "Still mad about your family Yuriko?"
"You do not get to speak of them!" Lady Deathstrike lunged to attack, to which Logan side-stepped and slashed her on the sides. She returned the favor with a lunge of her claws through his chest. "I will restore my family honor with your death!"
"Ain't gonna happen darling," Logan clawed her across the face a couple of times, getting her to back off as he then kicked her to the side. He turned to Sabretooth, who now had Laura in his grasp.
"Time to put you down!" Sabretooth was about to strike but Fluttershy had quickly held his hand back.
"I won't let you hurt her!" Fluttershy was then thrown off, but caught by Peter mid-air as he quickly set her down and rushed over for a punch to Sabretooth, breaking his other tooth.
"You're all really getting on my nerves!" Sabretooth lunged again, punching Peter to the ground and elbowing an oncoming Laura. He was ready to target Fluttershy, angrily walking toward her with his claws out.
"I told you to stay away from her!" Logan rushed in and stabbed Sabretooth, effectively tackling him away from his wife. Logan continued his assault but Sabretooth had grabbed him by his head and threw him toward the town. Sabretooth followed after his rival, something Peter was quick to notice.
"No! We can't let Sabretooth go into town!" Peter shouted in worry.
"Go after him, I'll deal with Deathstrike!" Laura called, rushing in to attack with a kick.
"Be careful fighting her!" Peter rushed into town after the two Weapon X fighters while Fluttershy stuck close to Laura. Though part of her wanted to be with her husband, she knew that being there could be a liability since Sabretooth wants her dead as well, but for all she knew, Lady Deathstrike had that same goal.
"Fluttershy! You gotta go too! Get to safetly!" Laura said, fending off her enemy.
"But Laura!" Fluttershy wanted to object.
"Don't go yet!" Lady Deathstrike said, knocking Laura aside. "I want to hear the screams of Logan's pretty wife!"
Laura rushed to slash her down, "You stay the fuck away from her!"
Lady Deathstrike went back to her assault on Laura, slashing her several times as Fluttershy reluctantly snuck away, knowing that she may be a liability here as well. It pained her to leave Laura but she had to trust the girl had everything under control.
Laura had kicked away Lady Deathstrike, taking note of Fluttershy leaving, "At least I can go all out again!" Laura rushed in at Deathstrike with even more tenacity than she did a moment ago, slashing at her many times, leaving blood all over the ground nearby.
Deathstrike returned with claw attacks of her own, trying to overpower Laura and leave her dead on the ground. She lunged her claw but Laura had leapt over and slashed her back in the process, landing on the other side of the mare. The villainous mare tried attacking again but Laura had ducked and hit an uppercut to knock her back.
With a switch kick, Laura and her foot claw had cut off one of Lady Deathstrike's forelegs, the woman reacting in pain. "Think that's enough?"
"Of course not, I know you can reattach your limbs, but you still gotta reach them!" Laura then cut off her other foreleg. "Plus most of your power are in those forelegs of yours!"
"Do not underestimate my abilities!" Lady Deathstrike went for a kick but Laura had blocked it and stabbed again, getting Lady Deathstrike right in her abs.
"I'm not underestimating nothing, I'm just nipping a problem in the bud!" Laura readied her claw. "The best way to do that is to go for the head of the plant, so nighty-night bitch!"
Laura ended the fight with one final cut, aimed right at Lady Deathstrike's neck, claiming victory in her battle.
Back in town, Logan had been knocked into the wall of a house, hoping the owners wouldn't be too mad. "Crap, gotta get him out of town before he undoes all the work we put in to fixing it."
Sabretooth marched through town, many ponies cowering in fear as they noticed through their window. Nopony had left since the animals had stampeded through town, and they still hadn't left once they noticed villain attacks. And this villain was one of the scarier looking ones, just like Annihilus and Nemesis, two other monsters nopony in town forgot about.
Logan marched back toward Sabretooth, "If you wanna fight then that's fine, but take it outside the town!"
"Aw, worried for these precious little ponies?" Sabretooth taunted.
"Some of these ponies know magic, you really want to fight in a town where they can easily zap you when you're not looking?" Logan asked, hoping this would be enough to convince him.
"Let them try, I'll kill them where they stand," Sabretooth said.
Of course Logan believed none of the ponies would attack, the town's residents being pacifists by nature, mostly at least, but unfortunately his bluff to Sabretooth failed. Logan had very little options left right now, he had to do something before anypony really got hurt.
Fortunately Peter had arrived nearby, landing on a roof. "Yo Creed! Up here!"
"That damn spider's really getting on my nerves," Sabretooth said, eyeing the hero. "You two are old buddies though right?"
"What's it to you?" Logan asked.
"Nothing really, I'm just almost surprised that a goody-goody like Spider-Man could be friends with a guy like you," Sabretooth said.
"Life's full of mysteries, not that I'm not grateful fer the kid, not many would stay by my side, but he has Loyalty that many men we know would envy," Logan said.
"Well that Loyalty is gonna get him killed," Sabretooth said, then turned to Peter. "Hey! If you're ready to die! Then bring it!"
Peter jumped in to attack with his webs, trying to tie up Sabretooth, but the mutant was quick to dodge them, then grabbed a nearby cart to throw it at Peter. The hero was quick to use his webs to latch on and spin it around back at Sabretooth. Reacting quickly, the villain destroyed the cart but the brief distraction allowed Peter to rush in and kick Sabretooth to the ground.
"I'll try to get him out of the city, do you wanna take five? You look like you need time to catch your breath," Peter offered.
"No way, I'm the reason he's here, I gotta see to it that he causes no one any harm," Logan said.
"It's fine really, I don't mind fighting, I am Equestria's Knight and Prince, it's kind of my duty to keep it safe," Peter said.
"All knights have comrades that help them," Logan said. "And even a Prince needs back up."
"Well, having a Royal Vizier would sound nice," Peter joked.
Sabretooth wiped some blood from his mouth, grinning a bit as his teeth began growing back, "Gotta say, I can respect the bond between you two. Having an ally you can trust really goes a long way."
"We're not just allies, we're friends," Peter corrected. "And as my wife would say, Friendship is Magic. Does it sound corny, kind of, does it have truth to it, pretty much I would say."
"Well, we can agree on one thing," Sabretooth said. "That is a corny expression, I'm really going to take pleasure in helping to destroy this eyesore of a world."
"How are you going to destroy it?" Peter asked.
"I'd tell you, but I think my associate would rather explain it himself," Sabretooth said.
"Huh? What associate?" Peter asked. "Is there something you're not telling me!?"
Logan had an idea based on what Lightning Dust had told him. He really wished he could tell Peter, but for whatever reason, Celestia forbade it. She thinks she has this under control and doesn't want to worry Peter over nothing, he just prays that it won't come back to bite her.
"Tell you later, you gotta die!" Sabretooth shouted, rushing in to attack, both heroes ready to fight as well as they collided with Sabretooth, each one throwing a punch, Sabretooth barely blocking them.
Sabretooth then lifted them both off the ground and slammed them a few times before tossing them through a window that happened to be Sugarcube Corner.
"Peter! Logan!" Pinkie shouted in worry.
"Huh? Pinkie Pie?" Peter stood up, seeing his very pregnant friend alongside the Cake family. It took him a few moments to realize something. "Oh crap! Logan we gotta-"
Sabretooth clawed down the door, staring a hole through everyone. Naturally the ponies inside were frightened at the sight of Sabretooth. Fortunately Logan and Peter were quick to knock him out of the store, keeping him away.
"Wh-who was that!?" Pumpkin asked, holding onto her brother.
"I don't know, but he looks scary!" Pound said, keeping a firm grasp on his sister.
"Come on kids, to the back where it's a little more safe," Mrs. Cake said, leading the kids to the back alongside Mr. Cake.
Pinkie hadn't moved from her spot, still somewhat frozen in fear. That was a scary looking monster, she hoped that whatever it was, Peter and Logan could stop him.
"Pinkie!" Came Deadpool's voice, the ninja making his way over alongside Applejack and Rainbow Dash. He immediately ran to check on his wife. "Is everyone alright!?"
"We're fine!" Pinkie said, holding onto her husband in comfort. "Some scary looking monster came in here though, Logan and Peter fought him off but he looked so...monstrous! Like a tiger with big walrus teeth!"
"Might be Sabretooth!" Deadpool said, then chuckled a bit. "Heh, walrus teeth, now I can't un-see that."
"That must be the monster who injured Remy! I'll teach him to hurt mah husband!" Applejack said.
"I really don't think you should be fighting Applejack, you're pregnant!" Rainbow Dash said.
"It'll be fine, mah suit protects mah baby," Applejack said. "Ah just gotta stay a distance, plus ah can still move."
"I'm with Rainbow Dash, it's too risky," Deadpool said. "Pregnant ladies really shouldn't be on the field of battle."
"Remy wouldn't want you risking your child's safety, suit or no suit," Rainbow Dash said.
"Ah ain't arguing this, now let's go!" Applejack said, rushing back out there, both Rainbow Dash and Deadpool mildly annoyed as they ran off to find Sabretooth.
Back in town, Logan had been clawed and thrown through a window, the sound of a frightened scream from a mare following. "Sorry ma'am." Logan rushed back outside to attack, clawing Sabretooth, leaving him open for an attack from Peter.
"We're doing great, keep at it!" Peter said, rushing in for another attack, kicking Sabretooth in the face.
"We'll bring him down!" Logan said, slashing at Sabretooth, leaving more cuts on his body.
Sabretooth began to fight them off, kicking Peter back and upper-cutting Logan. He rushed over to attack Logan again but he took a claw to his chin as Peter jumped in with a kick to a nearby kiosk stand.
"Well I owe Applejack a new stand, again," Peter lamented.
"Yay! Go Peter!" He suddenly heard. Peter turned to see Cozy Glow on a nearby roof. "You got this!"
"What the-" Peter's eyes widened. "Cozy Glow!?"
"The one and only!" the filly remarked.
"What the hell is she doing here!?" Logan asked.
"That's what I'd like to know!" Peter irritably said. "I thought I told you to go with Trixie back home Cozy!"
"I twied to, but we got sepewated," Cozy Glow cutely explained.
"First off, you really gotta pronounce your 'R's more, and your 'L's while you're at it!" Peter explained. "Second you can't be here, there's a monster attacking!"
"But you got this, you're Spiduw-Mane, you can do anything," Cozy Glow said. "Same with Wolverwine!"
"Don't mispronounce mine or Logan's name," Peter silently scolded. "Cozy Glow, just get to safety, I don't want you getting-"
Peter's spider sense went off in full force, but it was wasn't enough time for him to react as Sabretooth clawed his back, the monster then punching Wolverine away.
"You big bully! Don't hurt Peter! He's my fwiend!" Cozy Glow scolded.
"Aw, did I make the wittle filly upset?" Sabretooth asked, mocking Cozy Glow's speech pattern.
"Peter's gonna kick your flank, then you'll be-" Cozy's threats were silenced when Sabretooth landed on the roof, staring down at the filly.
"I'll be what?" Sabretooth asked a now very frightened Cozy Glow.
"Get away from her!" Came the voice of Ocellus as she blasted Sabretooth off the roof. Ocellus landed nearby Cozy Glow. "Hey, are you al-"
"Oh you saved me!" Cozy Glow said, hugging Ocellus hard. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wove you so much!" Cozy planted a kiss on the changeling's cheek. "We're best fwiends fowever now!"
"Easy Cozy," Ocellus said, blushing a bit from the affection. "Look you have to come back with me, and please don't sneak off again."
"I pwomise," Cozy Glow said.
"Also, dial back the cute talk, you're going oddly overboard," Ocellus said.
"Alright, I'll dial it back," Cozy Glow reluctantly said.
"Good, now let's-" Suddenly Sabretooth leapt back on the roof, grabbing Ocellus by the neck.
"You're not going anywhere," Sabretooth said, then felt some punches and kicks.
"Let go of her bully! She's my new bestest friend!" Cozy Glow said.
"Kid, how old are you anyway?" Sabretooth asked. During the distraction, Ocellus turned into a Manticore and whacked Sabretooth off the roof. She quickly turned back to normal and focused on Cozy Glow. "Let's hurry!" She took her hand and flew off with the troublesome Pegasus, leaving Sabretooth on the ground below.
"You're not going anywhere!" Sabretooth began to pursue the two, but not without Logan and Peter going after him.
"Stay away from them!" Logan ran after Sabretooth, lunging at him, but the monster had punched Logan into Peter, stumbling them back.
Sabretooth again pursued the two girls, but in the middle of his pursuit, he suddenly got lassoed. He turned and spotted Applejack with Rainbow Dash by her side, and the very familiar Deadpool. "Wilson, is that you!?"
"You startled my wife!" Deadpool brought out an assault rifle and fired away at Sabretooth. "This is for the door leading into Sugarcube Corner!"
Sabretooth took the bullets until the clip was empty, but Rainbow Dash had rushed in afterwards to punch the monster a few times, then followed it up with some kicks. "Not so tough now are you!"
"Now to get some payback fer mah husband!" Applejack pulled Sabretooth in and buck kicked him in the face. "That was fer the claw marks you left on his back!"
Sabretooth grew frustrated, these ponies were really getting on his nerves, didn't help that his teammates didn't seem to be around, wondering if they lost their own battles. Applejack pulled him in again and this time she delivered a punch, with Rainbow Dash flying to the side for a punch of her own and Deadpool landing a kick, knocking him to the floor.
"Did you get him!?" Peter asked, making his way back over with Logan.
"Think so," Applejack said. However she spoke too soon as Sabretooth stood back up again, breaking free of the lasso. "What in tarnation!?"
Sabretooth punched Applejack into a nearby barrel, then back handed Rainbow Dash. Deadpool jumped to attack with his sword but Sabretooth knocked the weapon out of his hoof, then grabbed his forearm to completely tear it off.
"Son of a-" Deadpool was then whacked with his own arm and punched aside, getting knocked into another nearby cart.
Peter webbed Sabretooth but the beast had pulled Peter in for a punch, knocking him into Logan. He then grabbed the two and slammed their heads against one another. He grabbed Peter and kicked him away before focusing back on Logan. Just before he could attack, Deadpool rushed over with his still attached foreleg and jammed his sword into Sabretooth.
Deadpool quickly jumped back to avoid a claw swipe from Sabretooth and side stepped some more attacks he found an opening to shove a grenade in his mouth and kick Sabretooth back.
"This is a trick I heard about from Chris Redfield!" Deadpool said, bringing out a gun and shooting the grenade, the blast consuming the area, causing a shake that startled all the ponies nearby.
Rainbow Dash stood up, recovering from her attack, seeing the smoke from the blast. "Think that got him?"
"I hope so, it'd be another one down after ah tied up some guy who called himself Zero," Applejack said, recovering herself.
"You took down Agent Zero? Good to know," Logan said.
"Torch and Icey took down Omega Red too, they left him frozen in the middle of town," Deadpool said.
"Glad to know, that just leaves Lady Deathstrike," Logan said.
"So she is here, thought so," Deadpool said. "We can take her though, just like Mr. Bed-Wetter and the Capcom Robot name parody."
"Speaking of Capcom," Applejack interjected. "Did you say Chris Redfield earlier? With that trick you pulled? Since when do you two talk?"
"We don't really, but I overheard him talking to some of the other ponies about his adventures fighting those B.O.W. creatures, gotta say he really liked showing off," Deadpool explained. "Well anyway he mentioned that grenade trick so I figured why not try it for myself. So I did, and it was awesome."
"Well you did good Wilson," Logan said. "Never thought I'd actually say that."
"Dude you always say that whenever you compliment me, just admit that I'm a great ally to have!" Deadpool said. "I took down Sabretooth, he's probably laying there right now ready to be taken in!"
Once the smoke cleared, the heroes saw that there was no one there, much to their confusion and worry.
"Uh, I don't suppose he evaporated into this air from the blast," Rainbow Dash suggested.
"Somehow I doubt it," Logan said, taking note of a trail of blood and soot. "That bastard just won't stay down."
"We gotta find him!" Peter urgently stated, everyone spreading out to locate Sabretooth before he gets too far.
Meanwhile, Ocellus finally arrived back at Sweet Apple Acres with Cozy Glow, Cherilee looking quite relieved. "There you are, what were you thinking sneaking off like that?"
"I got curious," Cozy Glow said, an explanation so simple yet somewhat irritating.
"While it's good to be curious, you must also exercise caution, especially when there's danger in Ponyville!" Cherilee scolded. "Thankfully Ocellus came to get you."
"She saved my life from a monster, so she's now my bestest friend!" Cozy Glow said.
"It was nothing really, you would have done the same I'm sure," Ocellus said.
"Hm...maybe," Cozy Glow answered, getting a deadpanned glare from Ocellus and Cherilee. Such a strange child, but all that matters is that she's safe.
"Just please don't wander off again," Cherilee said.
"Yeah, we don't want you to get hurt," Ocellus added.
"Aw, you're worried about me," Cozy Glow hugged Ocellus. "Alwight, I'll stay here if it makes you feewl bettuw."
"Cozy, please pronounce your 'R's and 'L's, it's quite bothersome when you don't," Cherilee stated, getting a bit annoyed with this filly's choice of talk.
"Peter said the same thing to me earlier today," Cozy Glow said.
"I can imagine," Cherilee said. "How bad is it out there anyway?"
"Really bad," Ocellus explained. "That monster was scary."
"I can imagine, he did leave Remy with a pretty bad injury," Cherilee said. "Plus the damage his other friends have been causing hasn't been the most ideal situation."
"How is everyone doing?" Ocellus asked.
"They're doing well, we got everyone mostly patched up, Big Mac, Silversteam and Lightning Dust are doing fine, Rumble's also fine, Apple Bloom said she's getting something to help make him feel better, something about a special type of apple, not sure what but he's recovering. Remy's still a bit injured, and he won't be able to fight much but he's at least patched up," Cherilee explained. "Right now we should go inside and make sure the foals are doing alright, they might be frightened by all this and we need to-"
"RUMBLE!" Came Apple Bloom's voice, followed by what sounds like the sound of somepony getting hit.
"Oh boy," Cherilee said. "Let's get Cozy Glow into the house while those two resolve their issues."
"Are they gonna break up?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Don't ask questions like that," Ocellus scolded, going inside with the two.
"Ow! you hit hard," Rumble said. Over in the direction of the foals, Apple Bloom was angrily storming away with a huge blush on her face. "Come on now, you're not mad are you?"
"Why wouldn't I be mad after the stupid stunt you just pulled!?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Hey you said I could have your apple, so I took a bite," Rumble said.
"That wasn't an apple Rumble" Apple Bloom said, then pointed to her flank. "That was mah butt!"
"Well it has an apple on it, near it," Rumble joked. "Hey I'm sorry if I bit hard, but you got some delicious looking 'apples' back there."
"Just, please stop talking," Apple Bloom said. "Honestly we're in the middle of a villain attack and you wanna act like a pervert. what's with you lately anyway? You've been acting so different!"
"Different how?" Rumble asked.
"When we first met you were as shy as a newborn baby sheep, but now you're this...playboy type Pegasus," Apple Bloom said. "Where's the old Rumble? The one I fell in love with?"
"Hey I'm still here, and I love you very much," Ruble said, gently stroking her face. "I'm sorry if I'm acting a bit different, I'm just trying to be the stallion you deserve."
"Just be yerself, ah mean Peter don't act like that fer Twilight, Remy don't act like that fer Applejack, you don't need to turn into Johnny Storm, just be Rumble," Apple Bloom said.
"I am being me, this is just how colts my age are I guess," Rumble said.
"Well, Tender Taps is our age, and he's pretty much like how you were a couple of years ago," Apple Bloom said.
"Oh, and what else do you have to say about Tender Taps?" Rumble asked, a hint of jealousy seeping in.
"Hey don't take that tone with me, you know it's not like that between us," Apple Bloom said.
"Hey I've been around Peter long enough to see how girls are around him, and the way you act around Tender Taps is no different than how Lightning Dust, Sweetie Belle, Princess Luna and a bunch of other mares are when they're near Peter," Rumble said.
"Just what are you trying to say Rum...ble," Apple Bloom's eyes widened in fear when she saw something approaching in the distance. "Wh-what is that?"
"Huh?" Rumble turned to see a monster approaching from nearby, he looked mad and his face looked a bit damaged, his body covered in a mixture of soot and blood. Rumble didn't know who or what this was but he knew it looked bad. He quickly stood in front of Apple Bloom, shielding her from any potential danger. "Whoever you are, stay back! Don't come any closer!"
The monster, that being Sabretooth, just stood over the two foals, a look of anger in his eyes. Apple Bloom was scared, this monster looked frightening and dangerous. "Rumble...I'm a bit scared."
"I won't let you get hurt," Rumble reassured, standing his ground. "Hey I'm serious, stay back!" Rumble used his wing to gesture Apple Bloom away. "Run, quickly. I'll keep him distracted."
"But Rumble!" Apple Bloom said.
"Just go, I'll be careful, let the others know," Rumble said, ready to fly in. "Get any help you can!"
Rumble flew in to attack but Sabretooth just punched him aside, then set his eyes on Apple Bloom, the filly booking it. "HELP!"
"Apple Bloom!?" Remy looked and saw that Sabretooth was here, and he looked mad. "Shit! He's here!"
"What's going on!?" Cherilee asked, stepping out the house and seeing Sabretooth in the distance. "Oh no!"
"What's happening?" Ocellus looked outside and spotted Sabretooth. "Ah! It's him! That monster!"
"Monster!?" Cozy Glow looked outside, seeing an angry Sabretooth. She screamed in terror at the sight, "MONSTER!"
Remy, Big Macintosh and Lightning Dust all flew to attack but one punch to each of them knocked them out of Sabretooth's way as he made his way into the house. Something told him he would find something of use in there.
Sometime later in town, the heroes are still trying to look for Sabretooth, the trail running short, but Logan used his scent to track down his enemy. As he searched on his own, he spotted Fluttershy talking with Johnny and Bobby, the two explaining some things to her.
"Fluttershy?" Logan made his way over to his wife.
"Oh Logan, just in time," Fluttershy said. "Johnny and Bobby told me they took down one of Sabretooth's allies."
"Yeah I heard, they took down Omega Red and Applejack got Agent Zero," Logan said. "I don't know abut Lady Deathstrike but I do know that we gotta find Sabretooth still."
"I can tell you about Deathstrike," Laura said, making her way over. "Took that skank down, really showed her who's boss."
"Oh good, that's three down," Fluttershy said. "But Sabretooth seems to be the most dangerous, so we gotta-"
"Oh good!" Apple Bloom said, making her way over. "Finally found somepony!"
"Apple Bloom, what's wrong?" Fluttershy asked. "You look out of breath."
"It's mah barn! Some monster showed up!" Apple Bloom said. "Remy said he knew you Logan, a guy named Sabretooth!"
"Shit, he's at the farm!?" Logan asked.
"I told you we should have gone there!" Bobby shouted at Johnny.
"Hey you wanted to 'redeem' yourself by looking for Sabretooth," Johnny argued.
"He ain't there no more, he left!" Apple Bloom said, tearing up a bit. "But not without hurting everypony! Ah thought they were gonna die! But he said he had no interest in killing them yet, he still had a score to settle with you Logan, and he did something to make sure you followed him."
"Follow him? Where?" Logan asked.
"Wait, the farm, isn't that where Rina went!?" Fluttershy asked.
Logan's heart sank, thinking back to what Apple Bloom just told him, he started preparing for the worse, though even for him that would be tough. Looking back at the filly, he had one simple question. "Is my daughter safe?"
"I don't know," Apple Bloom asked, wiping her eyes. "I'm sorry Logan, I wanted to help her but...I couldn't, and now...now she's-"
"Apple Bloom, it's alright," Logan said, trying to maintain his composure. Once again he felt afraid, but this was worse. When he thought Laura was in danger, he reassured himself that she's strong and can handle herself. When he thought his wife was in danger, he again reassured that she could get out of trouble, because she's already experienced danger and was tougher than she looked. But this is his little girl, his poor defenseless daughter, now at the mercy of one of his most hated enemies "Sabretooth is dangerous, I wouldn't want you fighting him. You just gotta tell me though, what did he do? What happened to Rina?"
"He took her..." Apple Bloom said.
Logan's world came crashing down, his daughter was a hostage now. All he could think abut what Sabretooth could do to her, and those thoughts tormented his mind. Fluttershy was in a panic too, hearing about her daughter in the clutches of sucha frightening monster. Even Laura began freaking out, that's her baby sister, one of the very few people she loved.
Johnny and Bobby also felt their hearts tug, as fathers themselves they would hate hearing about their daughters in danger, and given that this is the daughter of their friend, a daughter they themselves are fond of, seeing her as a niece in the same light as Mayday, this felt a bit personal to them as well.
"Johnny, Bobby, go find Peter, tell him what happened," Logan said, surprisingly but eerily calm.
"Sure thing, but what are you gonna do now?" Johnny asked.
With a SNIKT, Logan's rage started to seep through, a bloodlust falling upon him as he began to snarl. All he could think of was ways he would kill Sabretooth, ways to make him suffer, ways to make it last for as long as he desired. "I'm gonna find Sabretooth, and kill him!"
"Not alone you're not," Laura said, her own claws coming to view, her eyes turning a blood shot red, "I'm gonna destroy that dickhead."
"Logan..." Fluttershy said, getting her husband's attention. He turned to her, expecting a look of worry, expecting her to ask for the safe return of their daughter, not that he would need to be told, he wanted his little girl back and he would tear through an army to do so. What he instead saw was a look of pure vengeance in Fluttershy's eyes, a look so foreign to her, and she said something so unexpected to the X-Men hero. "I want to help."
The impending showdown had begun. The trio of Logan, Fluttershy and Laura making their way toward the Ghastly Gorge, where according to Apple Bloom, is where Sabretooth took Rina.
The trio continued down the path, making their way through the gorge, keeping an eye out for Sabretooth, and more importantly, Rina.
"Just where are you..." Logan kept a close eye out. He was ready to absolutely destroy the dastardly villain who took his little girl.
"Sabretooth! Show yourself!" Laura shouted. "Come on! Fight like a man!"
Fluttershy just eyed every corner, hoping to catch a glimpse of Sabretooth or her daughter. While normally opposed to violence, Sabretooth was going to get quite the exception from Fluttershy, no one messes with her little girl.
"I'm starting to lose my patience," Logan said, angrily slicing a rock in half. "SHOW YOURSEF CREED!"
"You don't have to shout," a condescending voice said. From the sides of the gorge, Sabretooth was seen with his claws on one arm lodged into the sides of the canyon while holding a frightened Rina in his other hand. "Glad you could make it, you and your whole family."
"If our whole family were here you'd be even more fucked than you are now," Laura said. "Lightning Dust is still back at our friend's barn, the one you attacked!"
"You mean that Pegasus with the green-ish fur?" Sabretooth asked. "Yes I remember her, it was a pain prying this little girl away from her." Sabretooth held Rina by her head, showing her off to her family. "Quite the adorable kid you have Logan."
"If you hurt her..." Logan looked ready to strike.
"What? You'll kill me?" Sabretooth asked. "You're gonna do it anyway, so maybe it won't matter what I do to this girl."
Laura jumped in, ready to strike but Sabretooth leapt off the wall just before she landed. She immediately launched herself off, aiming at Sabretooth but the villain was quick to back step, barely dodging the incoming claws.
"You won't get away!" She was about to strike again but Sabretooth held Rina in front, causing Laura to pause. That brief pause allowed Sabretooth the moment he needed to strike, punching Laura across her jaw and knocking her across the canyon.
"Laura!" Fluttershy quickly flew over to check on the girl.
"Careful, wouldn't want this little one to get hurt," Sabretooth taunted, holding Rina to her family. "I mean would would want to hurt such an innocent child after all?"
"Creed! This is between us! Leave my daughter out of this!" Logan shouted.
"Come now Logan, think of it like a Family Reunion," Sabretooth said. "I wouldn't want your precious little girl left out of it."
"Yer no family Creed, just a nuisance that I'll be glad to be rid of," Logan said, getting into a stance.
"Is that all? What a shame then," Sabretooth stated, flashing a menacing grin.
"Sabretooth," Fluttershy said, getting his attention. "As much as I don't like the sight of you, I still believe in non-violence and I'd rather try that approach. Please just give us back our daughter and leave this world. If you do that, then that will be the end of it, none of us will find or pursue you." Her demeanor darkened a bit, "But if you don't agree to my terms, well then, I can't be responsible for what my husband does to you. Now what will it be?"
"Tempting offer, but sounds a bit boring," Sabretooth said, keeping their daughter away. "Besides I'm kind of curious how hard Logan here fights when he wants to rescue his pup, call it a science experiment."
"Oh you want science? Then here's an experiment for ya," Logan said. "Let's see how many attacks you can endure before you die!" Logan was about to attack again but Sabretooth had immediately flung Rina towards her father. Thinking quickly, Logan jumped to grab his daughter, but that left him open for a kick to his face.
"That damn coward!" Laura rushed in to attack again but she got elbowed away. Sabretooth turned to grab Rina again but Fluttershy had flown in, getting the mutant with a punch. While the punch wasn't that strong, it still was enough to momentarily daze Sabretooth.
"Logan isn't the only one fighting for their child!" Fluttershy went for a kick but Sabretooth grabbed her hind leg and tossed her toward a rock, the mare hitting head first against it.
"No!" Laura was worried for her big sister figure, but when she saw that Rina was in immediate danger, she quickly rushed in to help by grabbing her before Sabretooth could, creating a distance.
"Quick kid," Sabretooth said, about to pursuit them, but felt two claws jabbing into his back.
"Forget me?" Logan asked, pulling his claws out to jab again, lifting Sabretooth off the ground and holding him in the air for a bit before aggressively throwing him again the cliffside.
Laura had placed Rina down near Fluttershy as the Weapon X clone quickly checked on Fluttershy, "Yo Shy, you alright?"
Fluttershy was very dazed, and she seemed to be bleeding from the side of her head. "I'm fine...I think."
"Looks like you hit your head pretty hard," Laura said, checking the spot she was hit. "You're bleeding, doesn't look like a lot but you're still gonna need that injury examined."
"I'll be fine," Fluttershy insisted. "Sabretooth is still-"
"Logan can handle him, I want to fight as well but you're too hurt and if you stay you might get hurt again, plus Logan will be too distracted making sure you're safe," Laura said.
"I can take care of myself, I've fought baddies before," Fluttershy said, struggling to walk toward Sabretooth. "Get Rina to safety, I'm gonna help my husband."
"But Fluttershy!" Laura tried to persuade the mare but she seems to have made up her mind. "Years of spending time with Logan is starting to take affect, she's developing her stubborn attitude Rainbow Dash would be proud."
As Sabretooth stood up, ready to continue his fight, Fluttershy had flown over, ready to attack again. "Persistent." Sabretooth back handed Fluttershy right toward Logan, the man quick to catch his wife. "Got yourself a good woman there Logan, even if that woman is a pony."
"Pony or not, I won't tolerate you hurting my wife," Logan said, checking on Fluttershy, noticing the cut on her head. "Yer bleeding."
"It'll heal," Fluttershy said, getting a smirk from Logan.
"Cute, but that ain't a cut to leave untreated," Logan said.
"I'll be fine...we gotta stop Sabretooth," Fluttershy said, getting back on her hooves. "I can't just let him think it's alright to take our daughter hostage!"
"I say let her fight Logan," Sabretooth suggested. "She's got spunk, I like that in a gal. I'm almost jealous, wish I had a girl like her."
"I already have one creep crushing on me, I don't need another," Fluttershy remarked. "Prepare to get thrashed!"
Logan wasn't sure where or how Fluttershy developed this aggressive attitude but he had to admit to himself that it was cute, though somewhat worrying. Fluttershy was clearly in a bad mood considering her daughter was used to bait her and the family to Sabretooth, Logan understood that but he knew first hand what blind rage could do.
"If we're gonna fight then we'll fight together," Logan said. "Just don't do more than what you can do 'Shy."
"That goes for you too," Fluttershy said, turning back to Sabretooth. "Can you take us both?"
"Bring it on!" Sabretooth readied his claws and lunged at the two, aiming for Fluttershy first. The mare anticipated that and flew out the way, giving Logan an opening to slash his sides. Fluttershy then kicked Sabretooth in the head, stunning him long enough for Logan to get in another swipe across his chest.
"Alright! Great start!" Laura said, kneeling beside Rina. "Your parents are pretty cool. Don't tell them I said that though."
Rina had no response, she just turned back to the fight, seeing her parents going against that scary monster.
Sabretooth tried attacking again, this time going for Logan, but his rival parried and delivered a strong punch to the jaw, Fluttershy flying around and going for a kick to the back, giving Logan the chance for a claw uppercut.
"Damn, not good," Sabretooth muttered. Fluttershy was actually providing an advantage, he had to think of something quickly. He looked to the side and saw Laura near Rina. Perhaps he can take another hostage, or two. He lunged quickly at the two, but Laura was quick to get into a protective stance.
"No!" Fluttershy flew quickly at Sabretooth, Logan right behind him. Sabretooth attempted to grab Rina first but Laura was quick to slice kick him back. Logan tried to attack him from the side but Sabretooth elbowed him back, focusing back at Rina. However Fluttershy flew in front of Sabretooth, looking him right in the eyes.
"What are you-" Suddenly Sabretooth felt frozen once Fluttershy widened her eyes, her Stare momentarily paralyzing Sabretooth. Fluttershy flew in closer, getting Sabretoth to back up, this giving Logan another chance to attack, getting Sabretooth in the back while Laura clawed him a few times in the front, finishing with a somersault attack to the brute.
"Nice work on the Stare," Logan commented to his wife.
"Thanks, though I'm a little surprised, I almost thought it wouldn't work," Fluttershy admitted.
"Yeah well...wait seriously?" Logan asked, little surprised by the answer. "Shy, that sounds like something Parker would have said."
Fluttershy laughed nervously, "Sorry, I guess I'm just not myself to...day" Fluttershy started to feel a bit dizzy. "My head."
"Shy? You alright?" Logan went to check on his wife, but Sabretooth had tackled him and dragged him across the ground, then tossed him aside.
"Sabretooth!" Fluttershy tried flying at him but she lost her balance mid-flight, leaving herself open for a strike from Sabretooth, knocking her to the ground.
"You're going down!" Laura jumped at Sabretooth but he grabbed her face and started crushing down, cracking Laura's skull a bit, then reeled back to stab his claws through the brash young clone.
"Laura!" Logan got up, ready to attack again. "Bastard!"
Logan leapt to slash Sabretooth's ankles, dodging another attack and impaling Sabretooth in the sides. He pulled out and punched the villain across his jaw, knocking him further back. He quickly scanned the area, Laura seemed to be in pain for the moment, and Fluttershy was out of it, her head injury making things bad for her. Not too far off, he saw his daughter hiding behind a rock, he really had to move fast to keep everyone safe.
"Gotta say runt, I don't remember the last time you fought this hard," Sabretooth admitted, rubbing his jaw. "Guess having a family to fight for really brings out your full strength. Last time you were this determined to kill me was after my old encounter with Silver-"
"Still sore after al these years?" Sabretooth taunted, taking another claw.
"All I have left in my miserable life are my wife and my two daughters," Logan said, then took a moment to think over his answer. "And the friends I've made along the way. If I can help it, I ain't letting you take any of them away! They're family, both immediate and extended, but all just as important!"
"Family huh? What about Draken?" Sabretooth asked. "Or do you not care for your own son?"
"Shut yer damn trap!" Logan rushed in again, impaling Sabretooth with his claws. He reeled back and stabbed through his chest, dragging the claws across, getting blood on the ground.
Sabretooth then clawed Logan back, stumbling him backwards and then rushed in to punch Logan across the jaw, knocking him across the ground. "It'll all be over soon, at least you might die before your family does, maybe I'll do that much for ya."
"Sabretooth!" Fluttershy said, angrily stumbling over. "Stop hurting my husband!"
"Or not, this one seems really eager to die," Sabretooth said. "If you don't want to end up like the other girls Logan's loved...eh, you're gonna end up like them anyway!"
"How cruel can you be, to brag about taking away a loved one," Fluttershy stumbled over. "For you to torment my husband, for you to have taken so much from him, for you to cause him so much grief." Fluttershy slightly chuckled to herself. "Wow, now I fully understood how Twilight felt when she encountered the Green Goblin. To stand before the one responsible for causing the man I love so much pain, it just makes me so mad!"
"Fluttershy, yer in no condition to fight!" Logan warned. "Just stand aside!"
"Best do as your husband says, unless you want him to see someone else he loves die right in front of him," Sabretooth warned.
"Well, if I may borrow my husband's phrasing," Fluttershy smugly grinned at Sabretooth. "Go fuck yourself, bub!"
That surprised both Logan, who couldn't believe his ears, and Laura, who just recovered. Even Sabretooth couldn't believe this, but he was not happy. "That's it, you're dead!" Sabretooth ran at Fluttershy, ready to strike her down.
"No! Fluttershy" Logan rushed in to shield her.
"I got ya!" Laura rushed in as well, standing beside her two family members, shielding Fluttershy from this villain.
Sabretooth had struck down but Logan had blocked his strike with his claws while Laura had claw kicked him across the chest and Logan swiped at him. During this, Fluttershy quickly started to fly up, doing her best to stay focused on the task she had in mind.
Laura rushed in again, attacking Sabretooth with a few more strikes, cutting him at intense speeds, then ended with a speeding kick and claw combo that stunned him.
"Go for it Logan!" Laura called.
"Brace yerself fer the power of Weapon X!" Logan shouted, rushing in to claw Sabretooth a few times, then did a drill claw to do further damage. He ended with a rush in double claw attack that finally knocked Sabretooth back.
The villain was down, but still not done. "I won't be beaten yet..." He struggled to stand, ready for revenge against the two. Suddenly he was struck with lightning, falling down onto his knees. He tried standing again, looking into the air to see where the attack came from and took another lightning strike.
"Did Storm show up?" Laura wondered, looking into the sky. "Oh, even better! Fluttershy!"
Logan looked up as well and saw his wife on a cloud, hitting it to strike Sabretooth a third time, finally knocking him completely off his feet. "Wow, nice thinking."
"Not bad considering she took a blow to her head," Laura said. "Speaking of which, we really should get her to the hospital soon, for all we know her skull is cracked."
"Let's not think that way," Logan said, then called to his wife. "Fluttershy! Come down, I think you got him!"
"That's good to know!" Fluttershy said, gently lowering herself down, however she got dizzy mid flight and began to fall, but fortunately her husband had caught her in his forelegs. "That was close."
"I'm here fer ya darling," Logan said, gently placing his wife down. "Gotta say, what you did out there, that took some guts."
"Yeah, you were a total badass!" Laura said. "Fighting Sabretooth, using clever tactics, that potty mouth of yours."
"I really don't know what came over me," Fluttershy sheepishly said, chuckling a bit but stopping once her head started hurting again.
"How much does it hurt?" Logan asked, rubbing her head.
"It's nothing really, nothing I can't...oh boy," Fluttershy then keeled over, trying to keep herself conscious.
"Hey! Fluttershy!" Laura quickly checked on her. "Come on, answer me!"
"I'm fine, don't..." Fluttershy finally passed out, the injury and blood loss taking a toll.
"Fluttershy!" Laura shouted in worry.
"Mama!?" Rina finally ran out of her hiding spot to check on her mother. "Mama!" Seeing her mother out cold and really hurt was enough to bring tears to Rina's eyes.
"Hey don't cry now Rina," Laura said, bringing the girl in for a hug. "Your mommy will be fine, she just has a boo-boo and needs a nap."
Logan checked Fluttershy's pulse, it was there at least but he still worried for how much longer. "I'll get her to the hospital, you take Rina home."
"What about Sabretooth?" Laura said, gesturing to the villain. "We can't just leave him here."
"Right, think you can take Fluttershy as well then?" Logan asked.
"Uh, I can carry both if you want," Laura said. "But what if he wakes up, think you can handle him alone?"
"I have fer a few decades," Logan said. "A few more minutes wouldn't hurt."
"Oh, yes...it would," Sabretooth said, slowly starting to stand, much to the disbelief of Logan and Laura. "I will make it hurt, and then you'll-"
Suddenly another blast came Sabretooth's direction, knocking him against a wall. Soon some royal guards had the beast surrounded, with Scott Lang by their side.
"You ain't going nowhere pal!" Scott boasted.
"Ant Man? Where did he come from?" Laura asked. "And who attacked Sabretooth?"
"Twilight," Logan said, gesturing to the Princess of Friendship, who was descending before them.
"I'm so glad I got here in time," Twilight said, then noticed Fluttershy. Seeing her friend hurt did bring out a great deal of worry, "Did I speak to soon!?" She immediately checked on her friend, wanting to see if she was even alive. "Fluttershy!?"
"She's fine," Logan reassured. "She just took one hell of a bump to the head, we just need to get her to the hospital."
"I'll take care of that personally," Twilight said, using her magic to lift Fluttershy. "What about you and Laura? Are you two feeling alright after this?"
"You know us Twilight, we'll heal," Logan reassured.
"Yes, your physical wounds will heal," Twilight placed Fluttershy gently on her back. "But I'm more concerned about your emotional state."
"...I just care that Fluttershy's safe," Logan said, then felt a nudge against him. It was Rina, who desperately wanted her father's attention. Of course Logan wouldn't turn his baby girl down, he lifted her up and held her in his forelegs. "And Rina too. I can take a beating, but nothing would heal the pain on losing my little girl."
"Daddy," Rina nuzzled against her father, Logan gently rubbing her hair, very relieved she's safe and unhurt. He could never forgive himself if he allowed even the slightest injury.
"Well, as long as you're gonna be alright Logan, as long as both of you are," Twilight said.
"Don't worry about us right now, just make sure Fluttershy's safe," Laura stated. "The safety of Fluttershy, Rina and Lightning Dust are all that matter to me." Twilight didn't seem too fond of that answer and was seen gesturing her eyes toward Logan. It took a moment but Laura got the hint, groaning in annoyance. "Ugh, and Logan too."
"You don't have to feel obligated to worry about me Laura, I'm more worried about the four of you than myself anyway," Logan said.
That also didn't please Twilight, "Logan, I know you care about others and you want to put their safety first, but part of loving your family is by taking care of yourself. You may not care if you get hurt, but they will. Please take that under consideration when you're being a hero." Fluttershy groaned in pain, Twilight realizing she shouldn't dawdle too long and immediately took off, "We'll talk more later at the Hospital."
As Twilight flew away, Scott took the moment to approach the Howlett Family, "Sabretoth is being transported to Canterlot, where Celestia will decide what to do with him."
"There should be more in town," Logan said. "Three others in fact."
"Some guards are there too, Johnny caught our attention and told us about the remaining three," Scott said. "Though one I'm surprised she was even alive since...well, I thought you needed your head."
"If she reattaches, can I do it again?" Laura asked, grinning deviously.
"Once is enough," Logan said. "Let's just get back into town, I'm worried about Fluttershy."
"And I'm worried about Lightning Dust," Laura said. "And the Apple Family."
"Oh right," Logan remembered that Apple Bloom told him about Sabretooth attacking the farm. He hoped it was nothing serious, for them to die because of his enemy was not a guilt Logan wanted, not again at least.
"Speaking of Apples, I hope Gambit's still alive," Laura said. "He took a really bad attack."
"He's tough, I think he'll be fine," Logan said, again mostly hoping, but he does have faith in Gambit, he's come back from tough scrapes before.
Time passed by, all the villains had been apprehended by the guards and taken to Canterlot Castle. Anyone injured had been admitted to Ponyville Hospital, given the stakes, Canterlot doctors were sent over, even Capcom doctor Rebecca Chambers. There were many injuries, fortunately none of them fatal, a miracle in Logan's eyes.
Fluttershy would be fine, though the doctors deduced that she had a hairline fracture in her skull and would need to take it easy for a few days. Remy would also need to take some time to recover due to the deep gashes in his back.
Logan sat in the same room as the two alongside Laura, Applejack and Apple Bloom. Big Macintosh was also in the room, joined by Cherilee while the young ones were waiting with Granny Smith in the lobby. The farmer pony was doing fine, though his injury was quite painful to him, he's not as used to the battle injuries as the others in the room.
"How is your shoulder?" Cherilee asked. "Does it hurt a lot?"
"Eeyup," Big Macintosh replied.
"You're so brave, if I were in that bed I'd be so worried," Cherilee said. "But at least you kept me safe."
"Of course," Big Macintosh said.
"You're a tough dude Big Mac!" Laura called from across the room.
"That he is," Cherilee said. "Brave too."
"I'm just glad yer not hurt, when Sabretooth showed up at the farm..." Big Mac didn't want to think of the repercussions.
"Let's be thankful most injuries were minimal," Cherilee said.
"Sorry my enemies caused this much trouble," Logan said. "I never thought they'd find me here."
"Don't worry about it, not like you called them over," Applejack said. "Wouldn't be the first time villains came here looking fer one of yall. Peter's had a bunch of villains show up after all."
"That's how you came to this world Logan," Apple Bloom said. "Back when Wesker and his pals came after Peter you and Johnny came to save him and then you became our friends."
"Wouldn't be the first time I've had to save Parker," Logan said. "But this is starting to get a bit out of hand, all these villains showing up and causing this much chaos. Speaking of chaos I think I know who might be behind this."
"Discord?" Applejack said. "Would he really want to get mixed up with these villains though? Last time it nearly resulted in all his magic getting drained. Ah don't think he'd want that."
"Something about that guy strikes me as strange though," Logan said, bringing out his claws. "Still, I gotta find that guy soon, I'll hunt him down myself if I have to. No way these villains are getting here without help."
"Just don't do anything too reckless," Applejack said.
"Telling Logan not to be reckless is like telling a baby not to cry," Laura joked.
Logan was bemused by the comment, "Cute..."
"Logan," Fluttershy weakly said, getting her husband's attention.
"Need something darling?" Logan asked.
"I know you're prideful, and I know you want to help," Fluttershy began. "But remember, you're not alone, I want to be able to help you."
"You already got hurt once Fluttershy, just let me handle this part," Logan said.
"If you're worried about me getting hurt, then train me," Fluttershy said. "Train me...to fight. I want to fight like you can."
"Huh?" Logan was a bit surprised, Fluttershy has always been the most pacifistic of her friends, always preferring not to fight unless absolutely necessary. "You sure you want that?"
"I do," Fluttershy confirmed. "I know I'm not really that strong, and sometimes I get in the way. If I can at least learn some basics, maybe I can be more help. Teach me to fight Logan."
"That sounds fun," Laura said. "We should totally do it."
"I don't know," Logan said. "Applejack, you've known Fluttershy longer than me, you think she can handle it?"
"No, not really," Applejack said, much to Fluttershy's annoyance. "But if she really wants this, no harm in trying."
"Hell yeah, I'll help too," Laura said. "Maybe we can even bring in Elektra."
"Huh? What for?" Logan asked.
"I always thought Fluttershy would look badass uses Sais," Laura said.
Logan shook his head, "Out of the question, if you and Lightning Dust want to help, that's fine, but let's leave it at just us."
"Fine, have it your way," Laura said. "Still, she could use a pair of blades since she can't grow them."
"Talk about it later," Logan said. "Last time I'll say it."
"I can teach her to use a staff," Remy offered.
"No weapons!" Logan shouted. "Start with the basics."
"Dude don't shout, you're gonna give Fluttershy a headache," Laura said.
Logan groaned in annoyance, at least things are back to normal if everyone can be annoying again. "I hope you know what you're doing with this idea Fluttershy."
"Have faith in me Logan," Fluttershy said. "I got this under control."
"Can I be taught to use a staff?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Apple Bloom, don't you have to go see Rumble?" Applejack asked.
"Oh right, ah think he's ready to be seen now, he's sharing a room with Silversteam," Apple Bloom said, making her way out of the room. "Feel better Fluttershy, you too Remy, and you Big Mac!"
"See ya Apple Bloom!" Remy called.
"Mind that boy!" Big Macintosh warned.
"Big Mac..." Cherilee said, a little surprised.
"Sorry, something about that boy seems strange to me these days," Big Macintosh said.
"You worry too much, Rumble's a nice boy," Cherilee said, even if she had her own worries. "Maybe a little rambunctious but his heart's in the right place."
Big Macintosh still had some doubts, he'll be keeping a close eye on that boy, and if he did anything disgraceful to his little sister, then he'll understand the wrath of a protective older brother.
Moments later, Lightning Dust came into the room, her hindleg properly bandaged, along with a foreleg, and she felt so much better, "Sup everypony?"
"Hey Dust, surprised to see you up and about already," Laura said.
"It was just a bullet wound, and a scratch I got at the farm," Lightning Dust said. "I've had worse, I mean Peter did break my wing a few years ago."
"Oh yeah, they you were traumatized by the mere sight of him for a few months," Laura said.
"Yeah let's not talk about that," Lightning Dust suggested, not proud of those moments. "By the way, I overheard from Pinkie Pie that Limestone was coming with Marble."
"Wait really?" Laura asked.
"Yeah, apparently since Pinkie's going into labor soon, all her sisters are gonna stay with her at Sugarcube Corner," Lightning Dust said. "So you get to spend more time with your mare."
"That would be nice," Laura said. "You won't get jealous though, will you?"
"I got my own mare I'm after, so while you two catch up, I'll be wooing Trixie," Lightning Dust said. "I could start now since she should be in the Hospital as well, apparently she's going through 'shock' from being attacked by Omega Red."
"Drama queen," Logan muttered.
Laura glanced briefly at Logan, smirking to herself and turned back to Lightning Dust, "Well good luck on that, especially since you might have competition in Scott Lang."
"Uh, excuse me?" Lightning Dust said. "There's nothing going on between them, Trixie says they're just friends."
"For now, but he spends more time with her than you do, better watch out," Laura warned.
"Laura, I am very much positive that it's nothing, you're worrying about nothing," Lightning Dust said, though started to worry. "But maybe I'll go check on Trixie anyway, just to be safe."
"Sure, have fun," Laura said as Lightning Dust left the room. "Poor girl."
"Hey, ease up, don't want her heart broken," Logan said.
"Don't worry, if that happens I'll be there for her, because I love her and that's what friends do," Laura said. "It'll all be fine."
In Silversteam's room, she was surrounded by her friends and classmates, while Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Cozy Glow checked on Rumble.
"Stupid Sabretooth," Rumble muttered, checking on his scratch. "Stupid Zero guy." Rumble checked on his wing. "Stupid villains!"
"Want me to kiss it and make it better?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Cozy, that's Apple Bloom's job," Sweetie Belle joked. "Lucky filly."
"You're a tough kid Rumble, seeing that you've been taking on villains lately," Scootaloo said. "Even if you do seem to get hurt."
"Oh it's everything, if I died, I would never get to see Rumble again, or Peter, or any of my friends," Cozy Glow said. "Including you!"
"She's adorable," Silversteam said. "You made quite a good friend Ocellus."
"She's a bit too...cutesy though," Gallus said.
"Yeah, not a fan of cutesy," Smolder added.
"Don't be sourpusses," Silversteam said. "Cozy Glow's just a bit excited right now, plus her cuteness is what makes her so likable."
"Yeah, she is cute I admit," Ocellus said, much to Cozy's appreciation. "By the way, how's your wing?"
"Oh it's doing much better," Silverstream said, extending it. "I wasn't that hurt from it, the doctor's said it's most of a scratch and I should be fine in a couple of days."
"That's a relief," Ocellus said.
"I'm just hoping my family won't find out, they'll pull me back to Mount Aris if they did," Silverstream said.
"Oh right, King Thorax would be worried about me too since I actually tried fighting one of those villains off," Ocellus said.
"But you saved somepony's life, so he shouldn't be too mad," Silverstream said.
"You don't know how protective he is of us," Ocellus said. "My father got injured in a villain attack, he doesn't want that happening to me as well, he takes his role as protector seriously."
"Wasn't your dad attacked before King Thorax took over?" Gallus asked.
"It was still a bad moment for him, I mean someone did target Queen Chrysalis and all the Changelings present, he's still worried that rebel group is gonna return," Ocellus said.
"Well if they do, we'll be more prepared," Silverstream said. At that moment a new visitor had arrived. "Hey Apple Bloom!"
"Oh, hi Silversteam, glad yer doing better," Apple Bloom said.
"Hi Apple Bloom, yeah I totally lucked out," Silverstream said.
"Apple Bloom!" Rumble said, getting her attention. "It's a relief that you're safe."
"Thanks to you," Apple Bloom said, going to Rumble's side. "Ah was worried about you."
"Hey I spent three months living with Peter and Twilight, their heroic nature was absorbed into my very being," Rumble said.
"That's...not how it works dude," Scootaloo said.
"Oh hush, you once tried absorbing Peter's power through 'Osmosis'," Apple Bloom said.
"Hey I was a kid when I tried that, give me a break!" Scootaloo said.
Cozy Glow started giggling, "You're so funny Scootaloo."
"Wasn't trying to be funny," Scootaloo said.
Ocellus walked over to Cozy Glow, patting her back a moment, "Why don't you give Rumble and Apple Bloom some privacy?"
"Aw, alright, if you say so best friend," Cozy Glow said, then turned back to Rumble. "Don't forget about me."
"I won't...you're not that far away," Rumble said.
"Let's go Sweetie Belle," Scootaloo said, the three fillies and Ocellus giving some room for Apple Bloom and Rumble.
"So, we're alone, what do you want to-" Rumble's question was interrupted by a kiss from Apple Bloom, not that he minded of course.
"That's fer saving me, and I'm sorry," Apple Bloom said.
"For what?" Rumble asked.
"Well, we were arguing before this happened, made me realize that those words could have been the last thing between us," Apple Bloom said. "Ah don't want to take that risk again."
"Hey couples have spats, nothing to worry about," Rumble said.
"Ah just wish you'd tone down yer antics, you act kind of...well, jock-ish sometimes," Apple Bloom said.
"Well it kind of runs in the family," Rumble said. "My brother is a bit of a jock."
"He also rebelled against Equestria because he hated Peter," Apple Bloom said.
"He doesn't hate Peter, he just doesn't like him much," Rumble said. "Not sure why, Peter's pretty awesome, and after today Logan has some points for fending off a monster like that. Oh, and Remy too, he took an injury and was still willing to fight."
"Just try to tone it down, and don't' get so jealous when ah talk about Tender Taps," Apple Bloom said. "Nothing's happening between us."
"Well, I do want to believe you, I mean you are trying to be like your sister, and she's the most Honest Pony in probably all of Equestria," Rumble said. "But can you blame me for getting a bit jealous? You're a pretty filly that most colts would be after, I gotta make sure they know you're mine."
"Just let me handle that, alright?" Apple Bloom said.
"Alright, I'll trust you then," Rumble replied, hoping for the best.
Later at Celestia's castle, Peter, Twilight and Logan had granted an audience with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, the two sisters wanting an update on what happened. Tony Stark happened to be there as well, along with Sunset Shimmer.
"First, I wish to thank you all for capturing these villains so swiftly," Celestia said. "Of course I am concerned as to how they got into this world in the first place, nonetheless what matters is that they're under out custody."
"Be careful with Sabretooth, he's a hard guy to keep locked up," Logan warned.
"Do not worry, I have plans for him," Celestia said. "I did try getting answers out of him but he was not being cooperative. Fortunately his ally, the one who calls himself Zero, did give us something to go off, saying something about Discord and a woman who can change shape."
"Must be talking about Mystique," Logan deduced. "So she probably helped them into this world with that Discord guy's help." Logan focused on Celestia, "With your permission, I want to track down Discord and gets answers from him."
"I will not stop you, but he is a very tricky being to find," Celestia said. "Even my sister and I struggle with keeping tabs, especially since he can shift through dimensions."
"I can help," Sunset said. "If I can access more dimensions then-"
"I'd rather not do that just yet," Celestia said.
"But how can we find him if we don't!?" Sunset asked.
"The less dimensions active, the less Discord or whoever else is behind this can pull from," Celestia said.
"But what if Discord can pull from other Dimensions!?" Sunset asked. "Capcom has access to other dimensions, and Discord can access their world! What if-"
"Actually, and sorry to interrupt, but you just gave me an idea," Stark said. "Celestia doesn't want more portals open here, but if you can talk to Chun-Li then you can explore through the Capcom Dimension. I mean I think she mentioned that she's looking into things in her end, maybe this can be that much more of a potential lead. Explore through her dimension, that way you can access even more worlds without linking them here."
"That is a brilliant plan Tony," Celestia said. "Sunset Shimmer, you have my permission to go through with that idea, if Chun-Li is willing to assist."
"She should be," a voice said. Ryu had made his presence known, joined by Cloud Strife.
"What are you two doing here?" Luna asked.
"Forgive our presence, I was just concerned when I heard that one of Wolverine's old enemies Sabretooth had come," Ryu said.
"I was already here, Sunset wanted to study some more Materia," Cloud said. "And I came to get back some she was done with."
"To think you can summon God-Like beings from them," Sunset said, levitating a couple. "There you go Cloud."
"Thanks," Cloud said, taking the Materia. "Wolverine, I'm sorry to hear that an enemy of yours showed up and nearly destroyed the life you were trying to make here."
"Same, no man should have to suffer through that," Ryu said. "Your family is unharmed?"
"My wife took a blow to the head but she's gonna recover, our daughter's fine too," Logan said. "Laura and Lightning Dust are also doing fine, Laura's got my healing and Lightning Dust is all patched up from her injuries."
"That's good to know," Ryu said. "To have your nemesis hunt you down like that though, I know that feeling."
"You mean Akuma?" Logan asked, Ryu nodding in confirmation. "He still wants that battle to the death?"
"Right now he still wants me to get a bit stronger, and fully master the Anatsuken ," Ryu said, checking his fists. "He hopes I can use it to it's full potential."
"Is it hard to reach that potential?" Twilight asked.
"In a way, see this fighting style was originally meant for killing, but I mastered it in a way so that I wouldn't have to take a life," Ryu said. "Akuma however uses it to it's fullest extent, having used it to kill his sensei upon mastering it, then he used that same technique against his brother, who happened to be my sensei. He intends to use it against me, but I will not fall to him. My only worry is that the only way I can stop him, is if I have to kill him myself. I'd rather not take that route but..."
"It ain't easy," Logan said. "Yer an honorable man Ryu, I know whatever path you take is an honorable one."
"Thank you Logan," Ryu said, bowing to his old rival. "May both of us overcome our struggles."
Sunset walked over, patting Ryu on the back, "If you need help, we're here for you as well."
"I'm aware, I won't drag anyone into my problems but...having friends is reassuring nonetheless," Ryu said.
"I...have an idea of what you're both feeling," Cloud said.
"You do?" Sunset asked.
"To have an enemy who's sole purpose is to torment you at every turn," Cloud trailed off a bit. "Enemies who refuse to stay as just a memory."
"Is this about that Sephiroth guy?" Sunset asked. Cloud's grimace seemed to answer her question. Not wanting to bring up too many painful memories, she decided to leave it at that. "I guess everyone has that stubborn enemy of theirs."
"I wonder how many of my enemies think that of me?" Peter wondered. "Since I always show up to thwart them."
"Well you had six guys show up in Equestria to do damage, one even escaping and trying again," Logan said.
"Talking about Mysterio right? Whatever happened to him again?" Peter asked.
"I took care of it, no need to worry," Celestia said. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to carry out some punishments for our invaders. Sunset you may contact Chun-Li and see if you can assist her in any way."
"Chun-Li has a head start, having more of your help would be greatly beneficial," Ryu said.
"My friends can help too, especially Tifa, she's quite fond of this world," Cloud said.
"Sounds great, come on boys," Sunset said, heading towards a Capcom portal with Ryu and Cloud right behind her.
Celestia focused back on Logan, "Thank you for your help, I'm sorry this happened to you and your family. It would be disheartening if we lost any of you."
"If you truly want to find Discord, well I can assist you as well," Luna said. "Anything to prevent more potential tragedy."
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind," Logan said, then began making his way out the castle.
"We should go too, Mayday's in the other room with Franklin, we'll grab her and go," Twilight said. "Plus I want to see if there's any damage that can be cleaned up."
"And check on everyone who got hurt," Peter said, then turned to the Princesses and Tony. "Bye everyone."
"See ya kid," Tony said. Just as Peter and Twilight left, he turned his attention to the Princesses. "So what now?"
"Like I said, I have some punishments to carry out," Celestia said. "Tony, I suggest you hurry with those Accords of yours, I may have given you a deadline but if things get too bad, I will have no choice but to leave it null and void."
"You got it," Stark said, somewhat worried that his plans may go down the drain too fast.
As Celestia left the room, Luna turned her attention to Tony. "Is this plan of yours even gonna work?"
"Of course it will, it has to," Stark said. "For the happiness of everyone. I can keep my business running, my hero buddies can stay here with their families, my other hero buddies can keep visiting, no one has to stay away from Equestria and we can have access to more worlds, they have some impressive technology, Sunset let me see the Materia from that Square world and boy is it some pretty impressive stuff. I might have a few of them attached to my suit of armor."
"If you say so, but I do have my worries," Luna said.
"It's natural I guess, but I'm giving you my Tony Stark guarantee that things are gonna turn out A-OK," Stark insisted. "Now, I gotta meet up with Reed and discuss more plans."
"Very well, try not to work too hard though, you seem to pull a few all-nighters," Luna said.
"You're one to talk," Stark joked. "Isn't your job an all-nighter?"
"Yes, and I know how stressful it can be, not that I would trade it away, I do enjoy watching over the night, and seeing the dreams of ponies, including the foals," Luna said.
"Like Mayday?" Stark asked.
"She has some interesting dreams, including ones where she has your suit of armor," Luna said. "My guess is she wants to build one."
"That kid and her love of techs, she's got potential though," Stark said. "Thank God she was here during Sabretooth's attack, even if she was bored. Poor Franklin, couldn't even get her attention."
"I noticed that as well, seems like a nice boy, its a shame Mayday won't befriend him," Luna said. "Maybe I can help with that."
"That'd be great, get them close together and you'll have two happy foals," Stark said. "Plus suppose something blooms with them? Something romantic."
Luna giggled a bit, "Love may be Cadance's forte but I won't oppose to seeing Mayday experience the joy of romance. Perhaps that can be my calling, I may have failed for myself, but if I can help a child so dear to me, then all will feel right."
"Exactly, she's like a daughter to you, so be a second mother to her, just like your sister is a second mother to Twilight," Stark said.
"You're correct!" Luna said. "I shall help her, thank you Tony."
As Luna quickly made her way out the room to make plans, Stark had brought out his notepad and started jotting down, "Mayday and Franklin are the two brightest kids I know, they have so much potential. If they can come together, the future may look bright as far as scientific and technological advancements go. If Luna can pull that off, the heights those two would achieve would be astronomical. If that happens, I just might hire them myself someday, and let them take care of the company until my own kid is ready to inherit it."
On the train back home, Peter and Twilight are waiting patiently while Mayday continued working on a gizmo she had brought with her.
"So, what do you think's gonna happen with Sabretooth?" Peter asked. "Think it has to do with The Elements of Harmony?"
"I'm not sure, I was surprised when Celestia asked me to bring them," Twilight said. "Scott really had her worried when he mentioned how dangerous he was."
"Maybe she'll turn him into stone or something," Peter theorized. "Imagine that, Sabretooth as a statue."
"Yeah...not a pleasant looking one though," Twilight added.
Meanwhile Celestia had entered the courtyard where the guards along with Scott and Cap were keeping a close watch on the Weapon X villains. "I'll take it from here."
"Stand aside everyone!" Cap ordered, the soldiers obeying.
Celestia stood before Sabretooth, glaring down at him, "I'll offer you one more chance to talk, why did Discord send you? And what does Mystique want?"
"Got her name huh?" Sabretooth asked. "Honestly, there ain't much I can tell you. She asked me to do something, and I did, mostly to get revenge on Logan."
"All this over revenge? All that damage you caused was for some petty grudge?" Celestia asked.
"Yeah, pretty much," Sabretooth said. "And if given the chance, I would do it all again."
Celestia shook her head as the Elements of Harmony surrounded her, "I will not allow that." In a quick flash, she sent a beam at Sabretooth, lifting him into the air as electricity zapped around him and in an instant, he was sent right into the sun, much to the surprise of his teammates.
"What did...what the hell did she do!?" Agent Zero asked.
"The same that will happen to all of you if you don't tell me what I want to know!" Celestia demanded. "What are Discord and Mystique planning!?"
Cap looked a bit weirded out, to see Celestia using the Elements for something so harsh, while he's heard tale of her using them to trap Discord in Stone and send Luna to the Moon, to see her use them right before him was a shock, especially since it seemed to wear her out a bit. She really wasn't happy right now, he could only hope whatever Tony had planned would work out, these villain invasions are starting to get to Celestia, he does not want to see her acting this way. This isn't the Princess he's grown to deeply care about.
"So I was under the impression that only Twilight and her friends can use those things now," Scott said.
"Scott, read the room!" Cap said.
Scott looked around, "But we're outsi-" Celestia's glare was enough to get him to stop talking. "Never mind!"
Cap shook his head in annoyance, his worries remaining however.
Back on Earth, Mystique had been alerted to Sabretooth's failure, the mutant of course quite bothered by this. "I can't believe it, Sabretooth calls himself better than Wolverine yet he and his team couldn't get the job done. I knew it was a mistake asking him."
"Well he put up a good fight, but he was outmatched by Wolverine and his family," Discord said.
"Guess it's back to square one for me," Mystique said.
"Remember, there is room for you in my group," Discord suggested. "Nothing wrong with more Shapeshifters, and you seem to have talents beyond that."
"I'll think about it, I'm not too eager to trust another team right now," Mystique said. "If only I had Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver on my side, bratty as they can be, their powers do have their uses."
"I mean, they're off wandering Equestria, maybe I can take you to them and see if you can convince them," Discord said. "Of course, they may not want to side against Twilight, especially after Magneto put Toad in that coma, but it's worth a try if you want."
"I doubt it, something tells me they're done listening to the proper authority," Mystique said. "I'll consider your offer but I have other contacts, not just in this world either."
"Ooh, interesting," Discord said. "I'd love to hear more about it."
"I bet you would," Mystique said, getting ready to set off. "I'm going, what will you do?"
"I have another world to check on," Discord said. "I'm finally ready to unleash that plan I've been working on for quite some time, be sure to check it out, it's sure to be quite the spectacle."
Discord disappeared into the portal, leaving Mystique to her own nefarious plans.
The following day, Fluttershy had returned home, her injury preventing her from doing any lessons at school, Logan offering to substitute for her. It wasn't his best subject but he still tried his best, channeling what he believed his wife would say about being kind.
The students could barely focus, all of them too worried about Fluttershy, but that just gave Logan an idea.
After school, as Fluttershy was trying to check on her critters, despite protests from Laura and Lightning Dust, both of them wanting her to rest, Logan had come home, getting her attention.
"Hey, Fluttershy," the mare turned to her husband and noticed a bunch of students with her. "Got a surprise fer ya."
"Oh my," Fluttershy made her way over. "What a pleasant surprise."
Ocellus was the first to approach her, showing off a bouquet of flowers, "We picked these out for you, we thought it'd help make you feel better."
"Aw, thank you so much," Fluttershy said, taking the bouquet. "That was very thoughtful of you."
"Wow those flowers look tasty," Lightning Dust commented.
Laura met her friend with a deadpanned glare, "Are you serious right now?"
Cozy Glow flew over to Fluttershy, showing off a painting of the mare with various animals around her, and some hearts, a piece that the students made and signed, "This is also for you, it's to show how much we love you and want you to get better."
"You're all so sweet!" Fluttershy said, taking the painting. "This is really kind of all of you, thank you."
"You mean a lot to us Professor, we just want you to get well and come back soon," Ocellus said. "Uh, not that we don't like Mr. Logan but..."
"It's fine kid," Logan said. "I may be the best in the world at what I do, but teaching really isn't my strong suit, especially when it comes to Kindness. I'd take my wife any day."
"Oh Logan, you underestimate yourself," Fluttershy said. "You're kind in your own way, that's why I love you."
Logan blushed a little, "Come on now, we got guests."
"We don't mind," Ocellus said. "We think the love between you two is really special. I hope to find someone like that someday."
"I want that too," Cozy Glow said, then muttered. "Just gotta get past one obstacle."
"Well I appreciate what you all did for me, and thank you," Fluttershy said.
"You're welcome Professor," the class said.
"Alright, she's gotta get some rest, all of you get going," Laura said, then turned to Fluttershy. "I'm gonna get them home. You get back and rest your head Fluttershy."
"I'll help with that," Lightning said, going to Laura. "Let's go everyone."
As the two mares led the ponies home, Logan placed his foreleg around the mare. "You're lucky to have so many who love you. Fer good reason too."
"I appreciate them so much," Fluttershy said. "And I appreciate you as well for being such a caring and supportive husband."
"It's the least I can do fer a mare who puts up with me," Logan said.
"Don't say that, you're a great guy, you're tough on the outside, but soft on the inside, like a loaf of bread."
Logan stifled a laugh, he knows she's trying to be sweet but that came out so weird and corny, "Uh, thanks Shy. Gotta say, yer one tough gal. Maybe I will train you, just to help make sure no one messes with ya."
"I look forward to that," Fluttershy said, facing her husband. "I love you Lolo."
"Love you too darling," Logan said, the two leaning in for a kiss.
All that mattered to the couple was being together and being happy with one another. Even though danger may lurk in the future, they would do what any couple would do, be there for each other and their family.
