Rainbow Dash walked along the Wonderbolts hallway. She was hot, sweaty, and frustrated. Today it had been her turn to help with the academy recruits. They were stubborn, and thought they knew everything about flying already, as if they should already be in the Wonderbolts.

“Those trainees sure remind you of someponies, don't they?” She turned around to see Spitfire standing in the hallway.

“What do you mean?” She opened her locker, hanging her towel.

Spitfire’s hoofsteps could be heard as she walked behind Rainbow Dash and quickly kicked her butt. “You and Lightning Dust!”

Rainbow Dash cringed at the thought of the mint pegasus. “Yeah, right.” She mumbled. She did see the similarities, but did not want to admit it.

“I know you see it.” Spitfire grinned as Rainbow Dash kept her head in the locker, hoping for her to leave. “Come on.”

Rainbow Dash growled and raised her head.

*BANG!!*

“Ooowwww…….” Rainbow Dash rubbed her head, scowling as Spitfire snickered at her pain. “Why are you here anyway?” She grumbled.

“Um….. I’m the supervisor and chief here?” She pointed to her many medals and pins on her jacket, along with her whistle.

“You also REALLY like to yell and blow your whistle.”

Spitfire grinned. “I really do.” She looked at the clock on the wall. “Well, gotta go! Mom wants me to come over for dinner.” She grumbled. “See ya!”

Rainbow Dash watched as Spitfire trotted down the hallway, whistle bouncing. She sighed, grabbed a towel, and headed for the showers.

Rainbow Dash walked out of the shower room, quickly stuffing her uniform in her locker and closing the door with a big bang. As she looked up, about to turn around, her muzzle was suddenly crammed into the lockers, making it hard to breathe properly. She choked as she was covered in the scent of gunpowder and a faint hint of-

Blood?
She tried to move her head, to get a clear view of the pony holding her down, but the pony was strong, and did not seem to want to let her go.

“What're you doing you- you-” She choked out, still disgusted by the smell.

Breath brushed her fur as a pony whispered in her ear. “Aw, Dash, don't you remember me?”

The voice was a mare, although definitely not feminine. “Spitfire?”

The pony growled and pushed hard on the bones and ligaments connecting her wings to her spine. Rainbow Dash groaned in pain, twisting.

“You're really comparing me to that horrible mare?” The mare growled.

“G-gilda?”

The mare pushed harder, causing Rainbow to groan more and twist harder. “Nope. Try again!” She said, mocking a game show host.

Rainbow Dash usually was the kind of pony who wouldn't give up and would keep sitting there, but the voice sounded so familiar and her back was starting to hurt. She whimpered and fell to the ground, her legs giving out.

“I thought you were stronger than that. I guess training has really gotten to ya, huh?” The pony laughed.

Rainbow Dash looked up sharply at the pony and winced, rubbing her head at the pain. As she opened her eyes slowly, she stared in disbelief at the pony.

The pony was a mint green pegasus, stocky. She had a short mohawk-like orange and yellow mane and tail, and amber eyes. “L-Lightning Dust?!” She stared at the uniform she wore, black with green stripes. But it was torn, barely hanging on to her.

“You got it!” The pegasus smirked. “Trainee duty, huh? Must be hard.” She trotted around Rainbow Dash as she shakily stood up. “Wonderbolts too much for ya?”

Rainbow Dash desperately wanted to jump and attack the mint pegasus, pulling her feathers out, one by one, as Lightning screamed in pain.

“You should’ve stayed with me and the Washouts.” She smiled. “It would've been fun!” She brushed her wing over Rainbow’s withers, Rainbow Dash nudging it off.

“Come onnn.” She begged. “You dont need those stupid friends of yours.”

“You know I am the element of loyalty, right?” Rainbow Dash looked at the pegasus, a little smaller than her, as she trotted around. She was still confused at how she was stronger than her.

“Oh, to heck with loyalty!” She groaned. “You're such a big shot, you know that? You think you're better than everypony just because you’ve saved the world a few times. Ppppfffffffttt! So what?”

Rainbow Dash’s ears burned. How dare she?! She lost her temper and jumped at Lightning Dust, sliding on the ground as her attackee stepped out of the way at the last moment.

“You’re gonna have to do better than that, you know.” Lightning smiled.

Oh how Rainbow Dash hated that grin. It was taunting her, making her want to attack Lightning Dust again right then and there.

While Rainbow Dash hesitated, Lightning Dust leaped at her, biting her muzzle and kicking at her chest. Blood spurted from Rainbow Dash’s muzzle, making her hiss in pain. She growled and kicked Lightning Dust, making her fly across the room, landing, amazingly on her hooves.

Rainbow Dash hesitated again, fascinated at how much Lightning Dust had gotten better at fighting. She could've knocked her out with one kick during the academy days.

“You’re a dirty little brat!” Rainbow Dash screamed as she jumped on Lightning Dust, pinning her to the ground, smiling in triumph. But to Rainbow’s confusion, Dust was smiling, almost as if she had let her pin her. “You don’t know anything about friendship! All you care about is yourself! You almost killed my friends!” Rainbow Dash yelled in Lightning Dust’s face.

Suddenly, Lightning Dust smiled. She leaped at Rainbow Dash, pinning her against the lockers by her throat. “Guess what?! I DON'T CARE!!! I had what I wanted, and you didn't care! I HAD EVERYTHING!!!!” She suddenly pounded her hooves, pushing them into Rainbow Dash’s throat, resulting in dark red blood pouring from her throat, staining her fur. It poured over Lightning’s hooves, splattering onto her muzzle. Lightning Dust licked the sticky fluid off, grinning. Rainbow Dash tried to scream, but only a gurgle came out as blood poured from her mouth.

Lightning Dust let her go, Rainbow dropping to the floor of the hallway. A pool of blood had already formed, a sticky, clotted dark-red fluid around Rainbow Dash’s body and Lightning Dust’s hooves. “I’ve hated you since that day.” she growled as Rainbow Dash looked up at her with glazed eyes. She grabbed a towel which was hanging from Spitfire’s locker, and quickly handed it to Rainbow Dash, allowing the pony to stop some of the blood flow. She didn't want to kill her, yet.

Suddenly, the door opened, revealing Spitfire. “Hey, Rainbow, the academy closes in-” Her voice stopped as she looked at Lightning Dust, then to the half-alive Rainbow Dash. “H-H-how……” Spitfire stood, stuck in place.

Suddenly, Lightning Dust had an idea. She quickly ran behind the frozen Spitfire, and locked the door. She walked over to Rainbow Dash, who was now sitting up, her wound had stopped bleeding, and she was panting heavily.

“Well….. Lucky for you, there has been a change in plans, Dash.” She grinned that malicious smile again. “Instead of my original plan, torturing you to death, like how I feel every day, you can watch your “Precious Spitfire” be tortured!” She laughed, wiping tears. “I AM amazing, aren't I?!”

“N-no! “ Rainbow Dash rasped out. “Not her!”

Lightning Dust whipped around, teeth baring, to glare at Dash. “YOU DON'T GET A SAY!!!” She yelled. She tied Rainbow to the locker harshly.

She turned to Spitfire, walking towards her and brushing her wing over her coat. “YAY!” She giggled . “I always hated you with a passion.” She grinned.

Spitfire growled, bending down. She knew she was no match, but she wouldn't go down without a fight. She tried to bite Lightning Dust, but she picked up her hoof, and used the opportunity to slam her hoof into Spitfire’s forehead, making her gasp in pain. Spitfire retalited, attempting to kick her in the chest, but Lightning Dust flew up and landed, hard, on her back. She reared and slammed her hooves into her back, making Spitfire scream in pain. She dug her hooves in, blood trickling from the wounds.

“I haven't even gotten to the fun part yet….” Lightning Dust smiled.

She suddenly grabbed one of Spitfire's wings in her teeth, pulling harder, and harder as Spitfire’s breathing turned labored. She yanked it to the side, the whole room echoing with a audible *Crack!* as Spitfire’s wing broke. Lightning Dust let go, letting the wing hang, limp, on her side. The skin had not been broken, so there was no evidence of the bone breaking, except for the bend in the wing. She jumped off Spitfire, grinning as she walked to her side and grabbed the wing again.

“Don’t worry.” She said to the frightened mare. “It won't hurt a little…..” She smiled. “It’ll hurt a LOT.” She pulled the wing violently, tearing the skin as Spitfire screamed, blood pouring onto the ground.

Lightning Dust did the same routine, but with the other wing. She escaped to a back room, and came out with a bottle of disinfectant. “This’ll keep it nice and clean.” She smiled as she poured it over the wounds.

The sounds that Spitfire made when that bottle was poured were the worst that Rainbow Dash had ever heard. She screamed bloody murder, twisting and gasping for breath, foaming at the mouth. She suddenly stopped, shaking. Lightning Dust had left, taking a few minutes to return with a pair of scissors.

“The best I could do.” She examined the sharp scissors.”I can work with it.” She grinned.

She walked over to Spitfire, cutting her hair off, very close to her head. Then she dropped the scissors. “Thought I was done?” She grinned at the helpless mare.

She suddenly grabbed the thinnest, tiniest piece of hair. She pulled slowly, letting Spitfire gasp and twist. Lightning Dust pulled it out, and did another, until all her mane was gone, replaced by streaks of blood pouring down the side of her head. She laughed again at Spitfire’s pain, loving it.

“I used to be like you, Rainbow. Carefree and thinking the world adored me. But, it DOESN'T! So, I found a new solution…..” She looked at Spitfire and grinned. “It will hate me instead. It will fear me, but I will be popular…. In a way. I will be on the news! Everypony will know my name! They will tremble in fear at any mention of me! ME!” She stood in front of Spitfire and grinned at Rainbow Dash. “Say your goodbyes.”

“nonononoNONO!!” Rainbow Dash screamed, twisting in her bindings. “Please no!” Spitfire had been tortured enough. Every hair on her mane was gone. Her wings were gone, in its place broken bones jutting out. She was cut and bruised, and she was on the verge of tears.

But it was too late. Lightning Dust had reared up, Spitfire screaming under her. Her scream was cut off by a *CRACKKKK!!!* Rainbow Dash stared in horror as her mentor’s head fell to the ground. Her eyes stared into nothingness, and tears stained her fur.

Lightning Dust stared at Spitfire in triumph, turning to Rainbow Dash. “Now, do you want to go, or die?”

She was giving her a choice. Either leave, and Lightning Dust be free and able to torture more ponies, or Rainbow Dash dying, and Lightning Dust unable to harm anypony. Rainbow knew her choice.

“I would rather die than let you hurt anypony else.” She stood up, untying her bindings.

Lightning Dust smiled. “Okay then.”

They leaped at each other, grabbing each-other's throats. Rainbow Dash squealed in pain as Lightning gripped her wound, but she kept going. They were on their hind legs, battling with their front hooves.

“You will never win.” Lightning Dust smiled, pushing Rainbow Dash to the ground. She bit at her hooves, blood pouring out with Rainbow Dash growling.

“I….. Hate….. YOU!” Rainbow Dash screamed, jumping at a bristling Lightning Dust. She ripped at her face, growling. She tore at her ears, actually pulling one off. Lightning Dust quickly kicked her in the stomach, making her queasy as she fell. What made her even more queasy was the bloody mint green ear she held in her mouth. She gagged, quickly spitting it out.

Rainbow looked up as Lightning Dust leaped at her. Out of instinct, she kicked the pony, knocking her across the room. Lightning Dust slammed into the lockers, attempting to stand up, but failing miserably. Blood covered her face and legs, matting her now red mane. Blood poured from their mouths as Rainbow Dash stood over Lightning Dust.

As Rainbow Dash looked at Lightning Dust closely, realizing that she was slowly bleeding out. Before Lightning Dust took her final breath, the pegasus growled one more statement through her teeth. “I have always hated you, and forever will. I will see you one day, find you, and have my revenge.” The last words were barely audible as Lightning Dust’s labored breathing slowed, then came to a stop as her head banged against the lockers limply.

Rainbow Dash stood over the mare. She was covered in blood and probably smelled and looked awful. The door banged open as Twilight, along with the 6, rushed in. Twilight looked at Spitfire and gasped. Her eyes slowly crept to Rainbow Dash, who was standing over Lightning Dust.

“Oh my Celestia!” Twilight gasped. “Rainbow, are you okay?!”

Rainbow Dash coughed and looked at Lightning Dust. She still had a snarl plastered on her face.

She looked at the 6, along with Starlight. “Now that she can't hurt anypony-” She pointed to Spitfire. “I am.”
