*This saga is the second arc of 3 ones. In the first arc, Only 2 volume out of 6 were cannon: Volume 1 and Volume 6, the other volumes just being fantasies i wanted to realise and establish him as a Hero. In the Second Arc, I am going to develop his character a little more, revealing secrets of who he is, who were his parent and some retrospection of himself.*
4 months have passed since the curse that turned Sunlight into a girl was broken. Having learn a valuable lesson on love, he decided to listen to his heart more and started dating Trixie. But during this time, something began to change in him that radically changed his personality in a bad, way. For a reason he ignore, he have no control on his desires, which turned him into a sex-hungry beast. Certain that something or someone might be behind that, He goes on seeking answers that he will soon regret to have found.
Sunlight was facing Midnight Sparkle, Sunset and her friends had been defeated and it was to him to save the day. The fight was going well, Sunlight keeping on dodging, doing chip damages and shielding Midnight attacks. He avoided a deadly blast from the enemy and countered with a fire beam. The fight went for a good amount of time but Sunlight finally got the upper hand, as he vaporized Midnight Sparkle with a powered beam of fire and light...The background suddenly disappeared and revealed a white room.
“Midnight Sparkle Battle Simulation completed” said a robotic voice.
Sunlight left the battle simulation machine.
“I did it, he said. It only took me 25 attempts, but i finally beat Midnight Sparkle.”
4 months had passed since the events that turned Sunlight into a girl, over this period, he asked Twilight if she could built a battle simulation machine. She answered him it could be possible, but it would be a long and money consuming project. Sunlight told her that he would finance her project. The machine took 3 months and 10 millions dollars to built, but the result was worth it. During the same time, Sunlight also passed more time with Flash, made amends with Trixie and found a good friend in Wallflower Blush, which he started becoming closer of. He also trained a lot his magic skills, perfecting his control of other elements other than fire. Now, he was mastering Electricity and Air magic and was a lot better at controlling Water, Ice, Earth and Nature. His defensive magic also increased quite a lot, his shield being more sturdy and widder. He also upgraded his tech suit, adding an «Overdrive Mode» and laser blades. When the battle simulation machine was built, Sunlight added to it the datas of every villain his friends met and those princess Twilight and the Mane 6 fought. (In human form). He then tested the machine by fighting Demon Sunset first, which he defeated pretty quickly. He then passed to the Dazzlings, which bited the dust after 4 attemps, then, he went on battling an humanized Nightmare Moon. After 8 attemps, Sunlight finally nabbed a victory. Then, He fought Gaia Everfree and surprisingly beat her easily, due to his element advantage. He then wanted to spice up things and went on figthing King Sombra, which he only beat using brain rather than brawn, tricking him into afflicting himself with his Fear magic. Confident, he went on fighting Queen Chrysalis and the Pony of Shadows. The pony of Shadows was easy, but Chrysalis was more difficult to deal with due to her Shapeshifting powers and her minions. He then proceeded to fight Midnight Sparkle. Now, Sunlight was already selecting his next opponent, Tirek.
“You should take a break, said Twilight. You haven’t slept for 2 days and you are tired”
Sunset suddenly arrived and saw Sunlight removing his suit, revealing his muscled chest. (His special constitution prevent him to gain weight, due to his body burning quite literally any excess of fat in his body...And combined with his intensive training routine of the last months, gave him an Appolon shaped body).
“Oh, hi Sunset, said Sunlight. How are you going?”
“Uh...Very well, she said, hypnotized by his six-pack. Why is this place feel hotter all of a sudden?”
“My bad, said Sunlight. The more energy i spend, the more heat my body emit. And after this battle simulation, i spent quite a lot of energy. I can’t sweat, Thus forcing my body to get rid of the excessive heat in another way. This is why my tech suit his alimented by heat.”
“Oh, this is good to know, said Sunset. I never saw you, well, shirtless. You’ve got quite the body there.”
“Thank, he said. But i am far from Bulk Biceps’ level of muscle mass.”
“Not surprising so many girls hit on you, said Sunset. With a body like that...”
“What are you complaining about? Asked Sunlight. You also have an amazing body.”
“True, she said. I Guess physical beauty run in the family, right?”
“Ha ha ha ha, said Sunlight. Probably, while i am at it, how is your training is going?”
“Well...I followed your advices and started practicing my magic, she said. And i did a lot of progress!!”
“Is that so? Then show them to me” said Sunlight, pointing the machine.
Sunset entered the machine and selected her demon counterpart as first opponent. Sunset attacked first by throwing a couple of telekinetic projectiles at Demon Sunset.
“Hum, she can concentrate telepathic energy into solid blasts, not bad” said Sunlight.
Sunset ponied up and reflected a magic blast from Demon Sunset with a telekinetic barrier right back at her.
“Oh, she can also use it to create barriers? Said Sunlight. I am really impressed.”
Sunset then finished Demon Sunset up by blowing her mind (Shuting down her brain, killing her). Sunlight spitted his coffee when he saw that happening.
“What just happened?! Said Sunlight. Her opponent just straight fell on the ground like a rock.”
“Oh, i just shutted off her brain, answered Sunset. It require the user to be more mentally powerful than the victim, but if it work, it’s an insta-win move. Pretty Neat, uh? And i still didn’t reveal half of my game.”
“Uh...said Sunlight. Uh Hum, i have to admit you became quite talented.”
“You are lying, said Sunset. Admit that you are really impressed of my progress.”
“You only defeated one villain, he said. When you’ll beat every villain i beat, i will be truly impressed”
On those words, he left the laboratory and went outside.
”Grrr... I was not expecting her to progress that much, he thought. She beated Demon Sunset so easily and that move she used to finish her off is scary. But she is far from my level...But she would not take very long to surpasses me...And it’s scaring me.”
Sunlight knocked on Flash’s door but didn’t answered.
”Oh, i forgot he went on a trip with his parent to Las Pegasus, he thought. Well, let’s see what Trixie is doing right now”
Sunlight called Trixie on her phone, she answered.
“Hi, Trix, he said. Are you doing something right now? We could go to the cinema or take a walk on the beach or practice together new magic tricks...”
“I am sorry, she said. I would love doing these things with you, but i am with my Father right now. He came to town to visit me and i want to pass the more time with him.”
“Oh, that’s fine, he said. Well, have fun!!”
He closed his phone.
“I guess there is still Wallflower” he said.
He called her and she answered immediately.
“It’s me, Sunlight, he said. Are you doing something right now?”
“Uh, well, no, she answered. I am just in the parc, chilling alone with the plants”
“Thank god, he said. Well, don’t move!! I am coming right now” he said.e
Sunlight appeared in the middle of the park and saw Wallflower sitting against a tree. He joined her and sat next to her.
“You know, she said. I can’t still believe you and me are friends. I mean, a shy, invisible girl like me and a hot, popular guy like you being almost best friends is...”
“Well, i am not as different as you, he said. Outside of Sunset, her friends, Flash, Trix and you, i have no real friends. I am actually a bit shy, you know.”
“You, shy? Asked Wallflower. You are kidding, right? You seem so sure of yourself and so calm”
“I just hide it very well, he answered. Almost everyone love me just because i am great-looking and charming, and i hate it. I wish i was at your place, sometimes.”
“Really?” she said, blusing mildly.
“You are lucky to be what you are, he said. Rare are the girls that are pretty and unpopular and i am a bit jealous of that.”
Wallflower saw that something was not right with Sunlight.
“You look very worried, she said. Are you okay?”
“Probably the fatigue, he answered. I haven’t slept in 2 days, only drinking coffee and energy drinks.”
“Well, we could go at my house and watch a movie, said Wallflower, i have really cozy blankets and pillows in my room”
“What kind of movie?” he asked.
“I have romance movie and a comedy movie, she answered. But looking at you, a comedy movie would make you feel better.”
“Then, what are we waiting for?” asked Sunlight, grabbing Wallflower in his arms.
“I can walk, you know...” she said.
“I know, but i am a gentleman, said Sunlight. And what are you complaining about?”
At the distance, a creepy shadowy silhouette was looking at them before disappearing.
Sunlight and Wallflower were watching a comedy movie at her house. Sunlight was trying to enjoy it and even have a few laugh out of it. Wallflower, her, was trying to look calm. It was the first time a boy was with her in her chamber and she was nervous. But luckily for her, Sunlight was not giving her a lot of attention, this one being more concentrated on the movie and lost in his thoughts. Wallflower suddenly put her hand on Sunlight’s shoulder.
“Yes? He asked. Oh, i am sorry if i ignored you...Between this movie and being lost in my thoughts...”
“Oh, that’s okay, she said. But since the movie is getting boring, i thought we could do something more...Fun...”
“Like a walk in the woods? He asked. Or going to your “secret garden”?
“Yes...Something like that. She answered. You can get us to Everfree by teleportation, right?”
“Sure, he said. When do you want us to go?”
“Right now” she said.
Sunlight teleported himself and her at the entrance of the forest. They started to walk together. Wallflower courageously grabbed his hand and at her surprise, he didn’t rejected it. After a while, Wallflower led Sunlight near a secret passage leading to a big tree.
“Let’s take a break here” she said.
Sunlight sit against a tree and is joined by Wallflower.
“Now that we are alone and that nobody can interrupt us, she said. I have something i want to tell you”
“I am listening” he said.
“I....I....Love you” she said timidly.
She was feeling suddenly lighter after saying this.
“I figured it a long time ago, he said. And to be honest, i do love you too. We complete each other so much. You are into nature, i am into fire, you are invisible and me, i am popular. I am expressive and you are more reserved...And this why you brought me here, don’t you?”
Wallflower came closer of him. They looked at each other intensively. Wallflower took her courage in her hand and kissed him. Sunlight didn’t rejected her and closed his eyes. Wallflower then removed her coat and t-shirt.
“Wait!! Said Sunlight. What are you doing?”
“Why do you think i brought you in the middle of the wood? She said. I always wanted to do this in the woods”
“Hum...Good point, he answered. But are you sure we shouldn’t wait before doing this? I do love you, but i think i am not ready...”
“Your little friend tell me otherwise” she said, now removing her pants.
“Ugh, we all knew it would happen eventually, he thought. Every man must soon or later lose it.”
Meanwhile, Sunset and her friends were together at the mall.
“That training Sunlight proposed to us is doing wonder on us!! Said Rainbow Dash. Two weeks ago, i just walked on water and even reached mach 2!! And just yesterday, i created a huge tornado!!”
“I punched through a solid Titanium wall, said Applejack, Without even hurting myself. I also lifted a semi truck and even threw a hayball over the horizon. I just hope it will not land on someone or someone’s house. I also pushed with my legs 60 tons!!”
“Well, as for myself, said Rarity, i perfected my solid construct’s shapes. I literally made a car out of diamond. And not only that, i can also create solid contruct with other gemstones!!”
She made a ruby shield, an emerald sword and a sapphire spear.
“Not bad, uh? She said. And they all have their unique properties. Ruby negate a lot fire damages while sapphire greatly reduces water and ice damages. Emerald can reflect magical beams, Amethyst resist dark magic, Opale absorb magic and negate dark magic...This is pretty cool!”
“Well, if you think that is impressive, said Pinkie Pie. I discovered that if i am concentrated enough, i can blow up almost anything, not just sprinkles and fruits. I can blow up cupcakes, cakes, pies, ice cream, candies, hard candies, bubble gum, cotton candy...But not only i can blow them up, i can also use them differently. By example. I could turn hard candies into gun bullets. I know, i tried. And i almost killed someone. I swear, i was aiming at a tree, but the candy broke it in half and almost hit an old man.”
“And you, Fluttershy?” asked Twilight.
“Well, i can see through an animals eyes now, she said. I just have to touch it and then i can access their mind. I always wanted to know how it feeled to be an animal and now i know...It is awesome!! Uh..Hum...I also discovered that i could copy the abilities of any animal i touch. By example, by touching a dog, my sense if smell greatly increased, by touching a cat, my agility increased and i could see in the dark, by touching a bird, i was able to see magnetic fields and follow them. “Whatever, no one can resist to our Rainbow Laser of Friendship! Said Rainbow Dash. Because Friendship always wins”
“But in order to use it, we need to be all together, said Twilight. What if we got divided or separated from each other? We can’t rely solely on Rainbow Lasers to win a battle.”
“Hum, someone know where Sunlight is?” asked Rarity.
Sunset suddenly felt intense emotions coming from Sunlight’s mind but also from Wallflower’s one
“He’s fine, said Sunset, deducing what was happening and disgusted by it. He is with Wallflower Blush right know.”
“From your face, said Applejack, i can tell they must be doing something really shocking...Oh...Don’t tell me they are not doing what i think they are doing...”
“They do, said Fluttershy, my feather friend saw them earlier, they were well, Kissing each other. I have no doubt they then passed on something more exciting.”
“First Trixie, then Vignette, and then Wallflower, said Sunset. I am starting to believe my brother is attracted by ex bad girls. Who is next? Gloriosa? Juniper? Starlight? And i am sure if i was not his sister, he would date me as well...I hate his new personality...”
“Well, he did hold back his hum... Love desires for years, said Rarity. He will probably horn down after a couple of months, give him time.”
“I don’t think he sincerely love any of the girls he dated, said Sunset. I mean, he is in relation with both Trixie and Wallflower and maybe Vignette as well.”
“Let him deal with the consequences, said Applejack. Love is new for him and he will learn from his mistake. Beside, how many guys you date, Sunset?”
“Only one...she answered. Flash. And maybe Big mac for a moment...”
“What?! Said Applejack. You dated my brother?”
“And I might be hitting on Shining Armor as well” she said.
“What?!” said Twilight.
“I guess Sunset also have a type as well, said Pinkie Pie. Me, i love funny guys!!”
“And me, i love cute country men” said Rarity.
“And i might be hitting on sexy rich boys, said Applejack. Who know why...”
“I love intellectuals, said Twilight. And nice guys.”
“Me, i love cool guys, said Rainbow Dash. Especially those who can keep up with me physically and mentally.”
“We all have a type, said Twilight. No need to be ashamed. I would not mind you dating my brother...I would accept it, but he already have another one in mind.”
“I can’t believe Big mac and you dated, said Applejack. But i believe it didn’t last long...”
“Indeed, said Sunset. We broke up the next day.”
“That’s my brother for sure, she said. Can never keep a girl more than a week.”
Meanwhile, in the woods. Sunlight and Wallflower were already dressed up.
“That was wonderful!! Said Wallflower. Let’s do it again, sometimes.”
“Be sure we will, he answered. Well, i have a meeting with my friends, i bring you back home and i will join them.”
Sunlight brought Wallflower back in her room, kissed her and then left the room. He then feel suddenly guilty for some reasons.
”What am i doing, he thought. I am already in relation with Trixie and Vignette, and now with Wallflower? What is wrong with me? I let myself go too much, i have to stop doing this. I have to break up with all of them before something bad happen”
A dark shadow passed behind him and suddenly, his guilty thoughts disappeared to be replaced by horny ones.
”Who will be next, he thought. I heard Gloriosa was looking for a handsome man to fill the void in her soul. After the meeting with my friends, i will look for her...”
Sunlight left her house and walked in direction of the mall. Followed by the same dark shadow.
“A little bit longer and you will be ready for what’s coming next, said the shadow. Continue embracing your darker side and i will be able to free myself from this etheral form.”
The shadow’s face materialized, revealing a face similar to Sunlight. Only with blue eyes and Black skin.
”You held me back long enough, said the shadow. I will soon be free from you and free to do whatever i want. For i am Moonlight Frost...The darker side of you”
He formed in his etheral hand Sunset’s face.
”And she will be mine, he said. All mine. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha!! Ha ha ha ha ha ah ahah aha ha!!”
Sunlight went at the mall to join his friends, who were looking at him with cold stares.
“Sorry to be late, he said. I was, uh...very busy. Why are you looking at me like that?”
“We know what you were doing, said Sunset. I felt your excitation and the one of Wallflower from here.”
“And so, who do you think you are to judge me on what i am doing?” said Sunlight.
“First, Trixie” said Sunset.
“And then, Vignette” said Rarity
“And now, Wallflower Blush, said Applejack. Who is going to be next in your bed?”
“Hum...There is Gloriosa, Juniper, Adagio, Sonata and Aria...Hum, and those chicks from Crystal PREP” he answered.
“Do you even hear yourself? Asked Sunset. What is going on to you? A few months ago, you were saying that Trixie was your only crush. Then, 2 months later, you dump her and start a relation with Vignette, which you dumped after only 3 weeks. Then, you went on seducing Wallflower...And now, you tell me you have another girl in mind? You are disgusting...”
The eyes of the shadow that was spying on him earlier started to glow.
“What is the problem? He said. I just became bored of them, kinda like a toy you throw away after it’s used...He he he he”
Sunlight covered his mouth with his hands after what he just said. Sunset and her friends were shocked by his words and were mad at him.
“How dare you say something like that, said Applejack. You are a monster!”
“Wait! Said Sunlight, that went out against my will!!”
“What do you mean?” asked Twilight.
“I just can’t control myself, literally, he answered. That started happening a few days after turning back into a guy. This is weird, but i have the feeling that my darker side began to resurface. There is a part of me that i hid deep inside me since i was a kid. Until now, i was able to hold it back. But after being turned into a girl, i might have lost grip on it...”
“That is ridicule, said Sunset, who suddenly felt the need to be mean. Somehow, you are telling me that your darker side is taking control of your mind? Please...”
“You are the one to talk, he said. You let your rage and jealousy of Twilight force you to steal her crown and then use it to turn into a demon, and then brainwash the whole school to invade Equestria.”
“Uh...said Sunset. I...”
“He does have a point, said Rarity. That also happened to Juniper Twilight and Gloriosa, don’t you remember?”
“They all turned into monsters, consumed by their jealousy, rage, hatred and desires” said Fluttershy.
“True, answered Sunset, who couldn’t explain why she felt the need to be suddenly sassy and mean. We all have a dark side that we hold back...”

She put her hands on her mouth and her friends looked at her.
“Sorry! She said. I...”
Sunlight left the mall and teleported near the camp Everfree.
“What is wrong with me, he said. The only thing i can think of right now is fucking Gloriosa...But why? I didn’t have these kind of thoughts a few months ago and suddenly, they are taking over my mind.”
He was about to leave the camp when suddenly, he saw a spider on the ground. He suddenly feel an intense fear followed by an intense disgust and blasted with a fire beam the poor creature, causing a huge crater in the ground. Gloriosa suddenly arrived, alerted by the explosion noise.
“What happened? She asked. I was walking near the lake when i heard an explosion...”
She saw Sunlight’s hand still smoking and the huge crater he made.
“Uh..., said Sunlight. I saw a spider and immediately blasted it...I hate spiders.”
“Don’t you think it was a bit excessive for a little spider? She asked. You could just have stomped her, you know”
“Yeah...I don’t know what got on to me, he said. Let me repair that...”
Sunlight used his earth bending powers to fill the crater.
“Something is definitively not right with me, he thought. And i need to know what is the cause...”
“So, why are you here?” asked Gloriosa.
“I don’t quite remember” answered Sunlight, who was ready to leave.
The shadow snapped his fingers and Sunlight’s attitude changed.
“Oh, i remember!! He said. I was here to see you.”
“Me? She said. Why?”
Sunlight took her by the waist and looked at her with a charming smile.
“Do you know you are beautiful? He said. I can’t believe someone as gorgeous as you is still single...It’s time i change that...”
“Wait a minute, Romeo, she said. Don’t you think you are going a little too fast? Sure, you are charming and handsome, but that just feel so sudden...”
The shadow stared at Gloriosa and his eyes started to glow. She started rubbing Sunlight’s crotch.
“You were saying?” he asked
“Let’s get in my house, she said. Timber is not at home today.”
She brought him to her house. Meanwhile, Sunset was thinking about what happened earlier. For no reason, she had been mean to her friends and Sunlight.
”That doesn’t look like me to talk trash to my friends and my brother, she thought. Sure, i was a bit grossed of Sunlight’s actions of the last months. Like if for a moment, i had no filter...I need to discover what is going on.”
She left her room, and walked in direction of Sunlight’s room, which was 3 floor lower. She entered her brother’s room to look for his tech suit but on her way, she was distracted by a pile of D.V.D’s near his television. She gave a look at them.
”Hum, there is action movies, horror movies and even porn movies, she said. And they were bought a few months ago. Around the same time he started losing control of himself. And those actions movies he bought were bought prior to the other movies he bought after. Like if one day he was himself, and the other, totally changed of attitude.”
She found his tech suit. But she only took the glasses and replaced them by a copy.
“The last time i reproduced an object, it was Twilight’s crown, she thought. This time, it is for a good reason. I am sorry, Sunlight, but you would do the same if that was me who were acting weird.”
She took his mask and left the room. She returned to her own one and hid the mask under her pillow. She played video games a little moment before she felt Sunlight’s presence near her. ( She learned how to see and read magical auras).
“I can’t believe it happened again, he thought. I tried my best to hold back my sexual desires but i wasn’t even able to do so. One second i was feeling awkward about having sex with Gloriosa and the next second, i was already banging her... This is definitively not normal...”
Moonlight Frost was laughing silently.
“I will be soon able to separate myself from you, he thought. I just need you to horn you one last time.”
Sunset knocked at his door. Sunlight opened.
“Oh, it’s you, he said. What do you want? Insulting me about my attitude? Don’t have time for that...”
“No, i want to talk about what you said about not being able to control yourself” she said.
Moonlight was looking at them, a bit worried.
“Sooner in the day, she said. It also happened to me. I was disappointed by you and instead of keeping it for myself, i spoke it out and said things i was not thinking. I mean, i was thinking them, but i couldn’t hold them back...”

“At least, i didn’t stole the crown of a certain pony princess, or attempted to brainwash a whole school, he said. I prefer being an heartless bastard than a fucking manipulator who can’t even do anything without her friends.”
“I changed, at least, she said. You didn’t. And i can defend myself, you don’t even know how strong i am. I am not the girl that need his charming prince to rescue her. You are also being way too overprotective, last time i tried to flirt with a guy, you almost sent him straight to the hospital, i don’t know what you would have done if one hit me instead...”
“If he did so, I would burn his house down to the ground, answered Sunlight. And then...And then... I...Why are we even arguing?”
“Uh...I don’t know” she said.
Suddently, a strong wind started to rise and black fog was starting to form in the room. Sunlight felt something in his body trying to get out and the proccess made him yell in pain. After a few minutes, the fog disappeared, revealing a human being. The being was similar looking to Sunlight, but his hair were Black and Dark Sky Blue and they were forming a fringe covering his right eye. Half of his face was hidden by shadows. He had blue Ice eyes and a dark grey skin, almost black. He was wearing a black sweat shirt and black jeans, both teared at the sleeves. He also had a spike collar on his neck and spiked bracelets on his wrists.
“Finally, after all those years, he said. I am finally free from your mind!!”
He laughed for a few moments and looked at Sunlight and Sunset.
“Who are you, asked Sunset. Where do you come from?”
“Who? I am Moonlight Frost, he answered. I am everything your brother isn’t, his polar opposite, his ultimate nemesis. I am the combination of all his defaults and vices. I thought i would never leave my prison. Where do i came from? Good question. Do you remember the relic you touched when you were a young colt, Sunlight?”
“Yes, he said. Why asking.”
“Because by touching it, he answered. You freed a dark force from it. I am this dark force. Once i fused with your soul, i needed to corrupt you long enough to be able to separate myself from you. But for some reasons, i couldn’t corrupt you, for more than a decade, you prevented me from growing stronger. I thought i would stay trapped inside you...But...”
He looked at the Fourth Wall.
“This chapter is becoming a bit too long, he said. I will continue to tell my story in the next chapter...The chapter end...Now!!”
Moonlight was laughing devilishly. He stopped and looked at the siblings.
“I suppose that my iron will and my dedication to magic and friendship prevented me from corruption, said Sunlight. But how did you freed yourself?”
“Simple, said Moonlight. I have to thank Cadence for that. When she casted on you that curse who turned you into a girl, she also weakened your mind and will. You started being more emotionally vulnerable and i took advantage of this to break my prison.”
“Is that you who manipulated me, my brother and my friends into being mean and horny?” asked Sunset.
“Yes, answered Moonlight. I am the one who forced Sunlight to obey to his dirtiest and darkest desires. It was not easy and waiting was horrible. To be honest, i could have freed myself sooner, but i wanted you, Sunlight, to be more powerful before doing so. I am the one who forced you to train, manipulating your fears and will to be stronger. And once i was powerful enough, i was able to manipulate your friends as well. Trixie, Vignette, Wallflower, Gloriosa and you, Sunset into being either horny or mean toward others.”
“What is your plan? Asked Sunlight. Destroying the world? Conquering Equestria?”
“Maybe, answered the evil clone. Maybe not. But i know i can’t beat you right now. At 8 vs 1, i have no chance to win. For now, i am leaving you and your friends alone. But we will meet again, be sure of that...Seyonara, Suckers!!”
Moonlight disappeared. Sunset was still speechless and Sunlight was on his knee, troubled.
“At least, i am totally in control of my mind right now, said Sunlight. First, i have to apologize to a few people...”
Sunlight left the room and teleported inside Wallflower’s room.
“Oh, hi!! She said. Why are you here?”
“I am sorry, he said. But i am afraid you and me must break up...”
“What? Why?!” aksed Wallflower.
“I was not myself when i started dating you” said Sunlight.
He explained to her about everything Moonlight Frost revealed to him.
“The bastard, she said. I knew something was wrong with me. So, he can control people by using their vices, desires and negative emotions against them?. That explain why i could not hold back my horny desires. But do you think we can still be friends?”
“Of course, said Sunlight. Our love might have not been real, but our friendship is. And who know, maybe i’ll marry you someday...”
He left and then teleported into Trixie’s room and explained her everything he learned from Moonlight.
“How dare he? She said. He forced you to leave me and used my pride and desire of fame against you. I knew the normal you would never had dumped me and the normal me would never had betrayed you.”
“I think we should probably just stay friends, said Sunlight. After what happened to me, i don’t think i am ready to fall in love again. I am so disgusted of what i did...”
“I get it, said Trixie. But we stay a duo, right?”
“Of course, said Sunlight. I will still be your friend and assistant. Our friendship is strong...Now, i have another girl to apologize to.”
Sunlight told to Rarity where he could find Vignette. She looked on her phone and called her. She then told Sunlight where she was and he disappeared. He reappeared near Vignette room.
“Sunlight?! She said, How dare you came back here?”
He explained her the same thing he explained to Trixie and Wallflower.
“Yeah, make sense, she said. I can live with that. Now, disappear and never talk to me again. We never had this relation and even less this discussion...”
“That’s fine, he said. I already forgot your name...Ciao!!”
“Yeah, goodbye” she said.
Sunlight then teleported inside the Camp Everfree and looked for Gloriosa. He found her near the lake, where she was fishing. He joined her.
“Oh, Hi, Sunlight” she said.
He explained to her what he revealed to Trixie and friends.
“Because of course, she said. But i don’t regret what we did in this house. If you want, we could be friends, learn to know each other and if you want, start dating. That probably won’t happed any time soon”
“I think the least i can do is become your friend, said Sunlight. I’ll see you later!”
He sent a text message to Sunset, asking where she was. She told him she was with her friends at her house. Sunlight teleported right away in her room.
“So, Sunset told us about what this Moolight Frost said” said Twilight.
“I can’t believe that son of a bitch did this to us, said Rainbow Dash. Next time i see him, i’ll kick his balls so hard he will never have kids.”
“I doubt, said Sunset. Moonlight have all of Sunlight’s abilities and maybe some of ours.”
“He said he was my nemesis, my polar opposite. We probably have the same magical power but our abilities might be different. My prime element is Fire, and the second is Light. I mean my name is not Sunlight Blaze for nothing. What is the opposite of Sunlight?”
“Uh...Moonlight? Answered Twilight. Oh...And Frost is the opposite of Blaze. So, you think instead of absorbing Light and heat, he can absorb darkness and cold?”
“Yes, said Sunlight. That mean his control of ice magic must be as advanced as my control of fire magic. I also use White magic, so that mean he can use Dark magic. And for the rest, he can do anything i can. Teleportation, summoning barriers, healing or self healing and cast elemental magic. He would be too strong for you, girls.”
“You think? Asked Twilight. You are not the only one who trained during these last months.”
“We are way more powerful than before” said Rainbow Dash.
“Then, prove it to me, said Sunlight. Fight me, then. I also want to test my newfound power”
“Are you sure?” asked Sunset.
“Absolutely, he answered. If you want to punch this face, this is the moment.”
He teleported the girls far from the city, in the middle of nowhere.
“This is where i go when i need to unleash my rage. It will be the perfect battlefield. No tree, no people, no houses, nothing.”
Sunlight put on his tech suit and unleased a strong wind.
“Let’s start, he said. I will show you what i can do!!”
Rainbow Dash attacked first. She made her arms vibrate and then punched Sunlight at distance. He took the blows without problem and fired at her a series of fireballs that she avoided without problem. She then started moving so fast she created doubles of herself.
“Try to find the real me!!” said all the Rainbow Dash.
Sunlight smiled and blasted the real Rainbow Dash with a fire beam.
“Ouch!! She said. You were lucky!!”
“Did you forgot my goggles allow me to see through illusions?” said Sunlight.
“Right” she said.
Applejack joined the fight and threw at Sunlight a big chunk of earth at him. He reflected it using his earth bending but Applejack suddenly appeared in front of him and punched him in the face. Sunlight was slammed against the ground so violently that he made a deep hole.
“Sorry!! She said, Are you okay?”
Applejack was left above the ground by a strong wind and then slammed her against the ground. He got out of the hole and looked at his friends.
“That one hurted a little, he said. Come on, show me more!!”
Twilight and Pinkie Pie joined the battle and started blasting explosives projectiles and magic beams at him. He made a barrier to protect himself and countered with a barrage of rock shards, fireball, magic projectiles and light blades. Twilight deflected most of the attacks and Pinkie Pie avoided the rest. Rarity and Fluttershy then joined the battle. Rarity send at Sunlight magic crystal sawblades that he block with a magic shield. But then, Rainbow Dash and Applejack looked at each other and combined their power to unleash a team combo. Rainbow Dash was ascending with Applejack in her arms high in the sky and then dived like a falcon in direction of Sunlight. Sunlight tried to avoid the attack, but Twilight and Rarity prevented him to do so by combining their powers. Unable to move, Sunlight casted a magic barrier as last resort. Rainbow Dash then threw A.J in direction of Sunlight.
“Get ready for this!!” she said to him.
She hitted Sunlight’s barrier at full force and shattered it, and then hitted Sunlight with all her strenght. The shock was so powerful that her fist made a hole in Sunlight’s chest before sending him to the ground.
“Oops, she said. Maybe we went a bit to much on him.”
Sunlight came out of the hole, radiating of a solar aura. The hole in his chest was already healed.
“Phiew, said Rainbow, I was afraid we killed him...”
“Uh, girls, said Fluttershy. I think Sunlight’s not looking really happy right now...”
“That’s ridiculous, said Applejack. Why would he get mad at...”
She was interrupted by a punch from Sunlight, that sent her flying hundreds of meters away before crashing in a nearby rock. Rainbow Dash tried to fly away, but Sunlight caught up to her, grabbed her leg, spinned around himself and threw her away like a rag doll.
“Oh shit, said Fluttershy. Oh shit, this is bad!! He will kill us all!”
Sunlight sent at Rarity a blast of light and fire that she absorb with a magic ruby shield.
“Ha, your powers got nothing on me!!” she said.
Sunlight sent a more powerful blast and Rarity blocked it with a shield.
“Stop, she said. Don’t you see that...”
Her magic shield started to crackle. Sunlight smiled and broke the shield with a more powered beam. The beam also hit Rarity and knocked her out. He then looked at Pinkie Pie and Twilight.
“Your turn, now!!” he said.
Twilight immobilized him while Pinkie covered him of icage.
“I don’t think he will get out of this one, said Pinkie. This is top quality icage”
Sunlight heat made the icage melt and then freed himself of Twilight magic. He immobilized them with vines and chocked them until they lost consciousness. Fluttershy came to help her friends but Sunlight put her asleep with one of his spell. He finally looked at Sunset. He smiled at her devilishly.”
“Please, Sunlight! She said. Calm down!!”
She tried to shut off some part of his brain to put him down, but Sunlight seemed unaffected.
“I am sorry, she said. There is only one way to end this...Please forgive me...But you wanted this!”
She turned into her Daydream form.
“Well, in this case, i should probably transform too...”
Dragon-like wings started to grow on his back, a dragon tail appeared on his butt and spikes appeared on his back and head. Scales covered his skin.
“No way, said Sunset. Did he just turned into...a dragon?”
Sunlight was still human, but with dragon wings, scales, claws, teeth and spikes.
“This is the fruit of my training, he said. Remember when i went to Equestria 2 months ago? I went to the Dragon Land and asked Ember to help me become stronger. So, with her scepter, she gave me a bit of their dragon magic. I then worked in how to use it at my advantage, thus allowing me to achieve this transformation...”
“Hum, i am not surprised, she said. Dragon are creature of fire after all. But so are Phoenixes. I also went to Equestria and asked the Queen of the Phoenixes to teach me their secrets. It allowed me to not only learn lot of spells, but also to access to my Daydream form without using the magic of my friends.”
“Then let’s get done with this!!” said Sunlight.
He clashed with Sunset, causing the earth and the fabric of space to tear. She blasted him with a powerful beam that he tanked. He stroke back with a powerful fire beam that Sunset deflect with ease using only her hand. Sunlight summoned from the sky a rain of fireball and magic projectiles. Sunset blocked them with a barrier but one touched her. But she was okay. She punched Sunlight in the face and then kicked him from above. He went crashing against the ground. But only two seconds later, he appeared behind her and grabbed her with so much power she was unable to escape. She headbutted him on the nose and kicked him in the nuts.
“Seriously? He said, visibly in pain. That’s no fair...”
“I am sorry!!” she said.
Sunlight created in the sky a giant fireball, Which looked like a Sun.
“Let’s see if you can stop this, he said. Taste to my ultimate move: Hyper Radiating Sunball!!”
”If this thing touch the ground, she thought. Everything in an area of 1000 kilometers will be vaporized. I need to stop it”
“This is all of my power!!” he said.
He threw the giant fireball at her. Sunset closed her eyes and used all of her magic and power to shot a giant beam of light and magic that blew up his attack. In the blast that followed, Both Sunlight and Sunset shielded themselves. A few moments later, both turned back to their base form and fell on the ground, exhausted.
”I....I did it, said Sunset. I did it!!!”
”I knew she could do it, said Sunlight. She is my sister, after all. Congratulation, Sunset...”
He got up and helped Sunset to get up too. They hugged each other with force .
“Let’s never do this again, she said. I don’t want to fight you anymore.”
“Never say never, he said. But after what you showed me, I too don’t want to fight you again. To tell you the truth, the reason why i trained was because i was afraid you’ll surpasses me. My pride took the best of me and Moonlight used it at his advantage.”
“And are you mad at me for surpassing you?” she asked
“No, he answered. I am proud of you. I am sorry if i got a bit too overprotective. You showed my you were able to defend yourself and i couldn’t be more proud.”
“But i know you will still protect me whatever happen next, she said. And i will still protect you too. By the way, let’s see how our friends are.”
“I hope i didn’t kill them in my rage, said Sunlight. I would not forgive myself if that happen...”
“We are fine, said Rainbow Dash. We are tough”
“Sorry for blowing a hole in your chest” said Applejack.
“But did you really need to choke us?” asked Twilight.
“That could have been worse, said Pinkie. He could have used the vines to pen...”
“I get it, said Twilight, shutting Pinkie’s mouth. I don’t want the image in my head...urgh...Too late.”
Fluttershy woked up and Rarity too. Sunlight apologized to them for what he did and they returned home all together.
Sunlight and his friends were all reunited at the park.
“We need to become stronger, said Sunlight. All of us. And the Simulation Room won’t be enough...”
“So, what are you proposing, then? Asked Twilight. How could we become more powerful in such a short amount of time?”
“We need to break ours limit, he said. Both physical, magical and psychological limits. Discord could probably help us with that. If he could man up and get over a stupid conflict about a stupid game. But he is probably too childish to do it...”
Sunlight raised 3 of his finger and started counting down to 0. Discord’s hand suddenly appeared out of nowhere and grabbed him by the neck.
“Excuse me?” he said.
“You perfectly heard me, said Sunlight, looking at Discord with a mocking smile.”
“Ogres and Oubliettes is not a stupid game” said Discord.
“I knew you would come at me after hearing that, said Sunlight. And like a fish, you got baited. So, still mad at me for killing your character?”
“Yes, he said. I am still mad at you.”
“Seriously? Asked Sunlight. It’s just a character. The most important thing in Ogres and Oubliettes are not the characters, it’s the adventure, it’s to have fun playing with others. You who like this game so much, i thought you would knew it by now.”
Discord released Sunlight and calmed down.
“You are right, he said. The fun is not in the characters, it’s in the adventure, it’s in the game. A character can be replaced, but the fun this game bring to me and my friends can’t. I forgive you, Sunlight.”
“Was about time, he said. But we need your dimensionnal bending powers right now”
“I know, i heard what you said about needing some training, he answered. I could i suppose lead you to an artifact that will grant you near unlimited power, but that would be too ex-machina and easy. Instead, i could probably send you to a dimension where you will be confronted to your most horrible fears. I heard that if you can beat your fear and the darkness within you, you will unlock a newfound power and more potential. But I need to tell you that if you fail, you will die.”
“Death doesn’t scare me, said Sunlight. I am willing to take the risk.”
“Now that i think about it, said Rainbow Dash, there is certainly another way to gain power...I don’t want to die...”
“And I thought Rainbow Dash never ran away from a challenge, said Applejack. Guess i was wrong...”
“Grrr...Said Rainbow Dash. Fine, i will take the risk too!!”
“I know each of us have the strenght to overcome anything in our way, said Sunset. We can do this...”
“Yeah!! Said Pinkie Pie. I will face my fear and throw a cupcake right into his face!!”
“If you do it, said Fluttershy. Then we will do it to”
“Together Forever!!” said Twilight.
Discord opened 8 portal one for each of the heroes. They all entered one after another and when Sunlight passed his portal, he found himself inside C.H.S.
“Wait, what i am doing here? He asked. Funny joke Discord. Really funny...”
There was no answer.
“Wait, this is C.H.S, but something is different, he said. I can feel it.”
He walked for a little moment and heard a familiar voice yelling. He followed it and discovered his sister bullying another girl, Fluttershy.
“Sunset, stop it!” he said
Sunset looked at her brother.
“Sunlight? She said. What are you doing here? I thought you were hanging out with Flash.”
“Uh...” said Sunlight, trying to say something
“Whatever, said Sunset. I need your help”
Sunset left Fluttershy and grabbed Sunlight by the arm and brought him outside the school.
“Ignore what you just saw earlier, said Sunset. She deserved that.”
“She just saw a thing laying on the ground and took it, Said Sunlight. If i saw a crown laying on the ground, i would do the same...”
“...” Said Sunset.
Sunlight hugged her. She was surprised by that and started blushing. Sunlight then realized why he had a feeling of Deja-vu. Twilight Sparkle, his role model and idol told him about how she saved the school from Sunset and reformed her. Somehow, he was at her place.
“Stop hugging me like that, she said. You know i hate being hugged!!”
“I know, he said. But it look like you needed one.”
Sunset freed herself from the hug.
“I hope nobody saw this, she said. I don’t want to be seen as a nice and fragile little sister. I need you help to take back the crown.”
“And by helping, he said, i hope you don’t mean breaking anyone’s arm, sending someone to the hospital or humiliating someone. I am willing to help you, but i have limits.”
“I know, she said. That new girl, i want you to distract her.”
“Are you afraid she might win the title? Asked Sunlight. Why should i do that for you, anyway?”
“You swore to always protect me” she said.
“Right, he said. I swore to protect you, not to be your lackey or helping you bully other people that did nothing to you”
“Are you seriously revolting against me?” she asked.
Many students were looking at them, which included Flash, Rainbow Dash and Rarity.
“Yes, he said. Until now, i stayed silent, i ignored the awful thing you did but not anymore. Those people lived in fear for too long. As long as you don’t change your ways, i will be against you.”
“First, Flash, then you, she said. I can’t trust anyone these day. Fine, if you want to be on their side, be it.”
She left the field and pushed a few students in her way.
“I am sorry, sister, said Sunlight. This is for your own good.”
He looked at the crowd.
“The show is over, he said. You can return doing what you were doing.”
He left the field and went inside the school.
“Did i just saw what i just saw? Asked Rainbow Dash. Sunset just got dumped by her brother...”
“Yeah, it was about time, said Rarity. I knew Sunlight was not like her.”
Sunlight was in the bathroom, lost in his thoughts.
”Let’s resume, he said. Sunset told me about the time she was being mean and how Twilight Sparkle helped her embrace friendship. But strangely, Twilight seems to not be part of this timeline, despite her crown being in this world. Am i somehow forced to play the role she played into making Sunset turn good? It would make sense. I always regretted not being present for her after she got banished from Canterlot. I wished i could prevent her to dive into madness and hatred. And now it is the chance to redeem her. Hum, But who know how things will go up without Twilight in the mix...?”
He left the bathroom and bumped into Fluttershy.
“Oh, i am sorry, Fluttershy, he said. I was lost in my thoughts...Are you alright?”
“Y..Yes, she said. Uh...I wanted to thank you for what you did for me sooner.”
“Uh...You are welcome, he said. Hum...Can you meet me later in the informatic lab? There is something i need to discuss with you.”
“Uh...Sure, she said. When?”
“Hum, after the classes, he answered. Well, have a good afternoon!!”
Sunlight disappeared from her sight. He was heading in direction of the sport field, were he found Rainbow Dash training with a soccer ball.
“Oh, hi Sunlight! She said. What are you doing here?”
“Hum, are you planning to do something after the classes?” he asked.
“Uh, no, why?” she said.
“Meet me at the Computer lab at the end of the classes, he answered. I need to tell you something important.”
“Uh, okay...” she said.
Sunlight then searched for Pinkie Pie, but felt nose to nose with Rarity. She almost fell on the floor but Sunlight caught her mid-course by her waist.
“Oh, said Sunlight. Hi, Rarity.”
“Hi!! She said, blushing intensively. Uh...”
“Meet me at the Informatic lab after the classes” he said.
“Uh, why?” she asked.
“It’s important” he answered.
This said, he released Rarity, who felt on the floor.
“I only need to find Pinkie Pie and Applejack, he said. And at this time, they must be at the Gymnasium, decorating for the Fall Formal.”
Sunlight entered the gym and saw Pinkie Pie and Applejack confronted to Sunset.
“Stop it, Sunset, he said. Let them alone.”
She turned back and saw Sunlight.
“You again? She said. This is not your business”
“When it include you in it, it is” he said.
“What are you going to do, uh? She asked. You got nothing on me!”
“Neither do you, he answered. If i have to use the force to stop you, i will use it.”
“You wouldn’t dare, she said. You would punish your little sister?”
“You are no Sister to me anymore, he said. As long as you don’t change your ways.”
“You...disown me?” she said.
“Yes” answered Sunlight.
She didn’t said anything and left the room without showing any emotion.
“Uh...said Applejack. What just happened? Did you just disowned your own sister? Wow, that will certainly piss her a lot.”
“By the way, thank you for saving us! Said Pinkie Pie. If we can do anything for you in return, just ask!”
“I do, he answered. Can you two meet me in the Computer lab after the classes?”
“Uh..That is an odd request, said Applejack. But okay...”
Sunlight left the gymnasium, picking on the way a bottle of cider. Sunset, meanwhile, was kicking the shit out of a tin can.
“How dare he disown me? She said. I swore he would be on my sides whatever happened.”
She then rememeber he said he would disown her as long as she doesn’t change.
“I will make him pay for that, she said. Him and Flash...”
A few hours later, the classes were over. Sunlight was waiting patiently in the computer room. The first to arrive was Fluttershy. Then, Pinkie Pie came next, followed by Rarity, then Applejack and finally, Rainbow Dash.
“Wait, what are you doing here, Fluttershy?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“And what are you doing here, Pinkie Pie? Asked Rarity.
“I told to each of them, you included, to meet me here” he answered.
“I hope it is worth reuniting the five of us together” said Applejack.
“Your whole conflict is the doing of Sunset Shimmer, he said. I know, she had the habit of telling me everything.”
“What do you mean? Asked Rarity. You mean that it is Sunset who sent me a message from Pinkie telling that she doesn’t need my help, only to find later she did everything herself?”
“Yes, he answered. Why? Because together, you are a danger for her. Like people said: Divide to conquer.”
“That would be her style to divide us, said Rarity. She pretty much divided the whole school against each other.”
“The bounds of friendship that unite you five are stronger than anything, he said. Sunset knew it and this is why she turned you against each other.”
“I am sorry Fluttershy” said Pinkie.
“And i am sorry, Pinkie Pie” said Rarity.
They apologized to each other and made a big hug.
“Friends forever, said Pinkie Pie. What can we do for you, Sunlight?”
“To thank you for reuniting the five of us” said Fluttershy.
“Ask us anything, said Rainbow Dash. And we will do it...Well, except if this is life endangering or related to sex.”
Sunlight smiled.
“There is one thing you could do to help me” he said.
Meanwhile, Sunset was sat on a bench at the park. She was thinking about if her goal of revenge was worth losing the only person that really cared for her since she was sent in this world.
“I don’t need him anyway, she said. Who need friends and family when you have the world at your fingertips?”
Her anger turned into sadness and she surprised herself to shed a tear. But she quickly recovered from it.
”No, i won’t weaken, she said. I promised to take my revenge on Celestia and i will, she said. I just need that stupid crown and this school is history.”
The Fall formal was about to start, sooner than it was planned. Due to Sunlight and his friends convincing Celestia to lauch it tonight. He was with them in the gymnasium, waiting for the event to start.
“Be ready, girls, he said. The final step of our plan is about to begin. For now, let’s have some fun until the Princess of the Fall Formal, which will be Sunset, will be crowned.”
The formal started a few minutes later. Sunlight and his friends danced, laughed while keeping an eye on Sunset Shimmer. After an hour or two, Celestia appeared on stage to announce the winner of the crown.
“Uh Hum, she said. It is time to crown the princess of the Fall Formal!! Since only one person postulated for the title, you are not surprise to know that the winner of the crown is Sunset Shimmer, for the fourth time in a row.”
“Yes!! She said. Finally.”
She grabbed the crown and put it on her hand.
“I have waited long enough for this moment, she said. And it finally arrived!!”
But nothing happened. The other students were looking at her with bored faces.
“Wait, i should be supposed to transform, now, she said. Why is it not working?”
She took the crown and realized it was a decoy.
“Hey, Sunset, said Applejack, holding the real crown. Is this what you are looking for?! Come and get it!!”
“You...Bitch!!! Said Sunset. Give me that crown!!”
Applejack and her friends started running outside the school, where Sunlight was waiting. Sunset joined them a few seconds later.
“Give...ME...this Fucking crown!!!” she yelled.
Applejack passed it to Rainbow Dash, who passed it to Pinkie Pie, who passed it to Fluttershy, who by mistake, passed it to Sunset Shimmer.
“Thank you for the crown, sucker!! She said. I have waited 4 years for this moment, 4 fucking years!! I lost my boyfriend and my brother in the process, but it doesn’t matter anymore!! "
She put the crown on her hand and started to transform into a demon, she then used her magic to mind control the students inside the school.
“The only thing standing in my way is you, she said. You will join me or die!!”
“We will never join you” said Sunlight.
“Then you will be destroyed!!” she said.
Sunset threw at his friends a magic ball that Sunlight blocked with a barrier.
“What? How?!” she asked.
“You might be in possession of the Element of Magic, said Sunlight. And you might be using it’s power, but you are not the only one who can use it’s magic. These girls on my sides showed me the meaning of Friendship, Let me...Let us show it to you...”
The Element of Magic started to glow. Sunlight and his friends started to grow pony ears and wings.
“What?! She said. How?!”
“The Elements of Harmony are not excusively for one kind or another, said Sunlight. Anyone that believe in friendship and turn to their friends, can use their power...Let me show you the most powerful magic of all, Sunset. The magic of Friendship...Blast her, girls!”
The Rainbow Laser stroke Sunset Shimmer and wrapped her in a tornado of magic. A few moments later, the light faded revealing a crater. Sunset was lying in the middle of it, in tears. Sunlight came to her, helped her to get up and finally hugged her. She then turned to the crowd
“I am sorry, she said. I am sorry for what i did to you, to all of you. I regret my doings, i just don’t want to be left alone anymore...I just want to be with you, to have friends...Can you and your friends teach me Friendship?”
Suddenly, the reality around Sunlight suddenly become white...
“Congrats, Sunlight, said Twilight. You passed the trial. Do you know why i sent you in this point of time exactly?”
“Yes, he answered.I always thought i could have helped my sister change her ways when she was evil. I was feeling guilty to not have been there for her when she needed it the most. But what are you doing here?”
“I am just astral projecting myself in this dimension. Said Twilight. Discord shared with me what he did. Tell me, do you know what your biggest fear is?”
“...Yes, he said. My biggest fear is to not living up to your legacy, to not being the legend, the hero that you are. I always feared to never be able to do what you accomplished, walk in your traces. But i realize now that i don’t need to walk in your traces, to live up to you feats and accomplishement. I have to trace my own path and establish my own legacy, so it can inspire others to create them at their turns.”
Twilight smiled.
“I was admiring Celestia like you are admiring me, she said. But i didn’t followed her example. I traced my own path, the path that made me what i am today. I might have inspired you, Sunlight. But you are the one who took the decision to be a hero. Like you said, everyone that turn to the magic of Friendship, to their friends in difficults situations can hold the Elements of Harmony. You could have defeated Sunset on your own, but you instead chose to ask for the help of my friends from C.H.S, your friends, just like i did. Nothing forced you to reunite them, but you did it anyway. Now, it is time for you to return back in your world.”
She disappeared and Sunlight too...He woke back in the middle of the park, confused by what happen. He looked around him as he saw all of his friends also confused.
“I don’t feel any change in my power, said Sunlight. Discord...Did you lied to us?”
“Of course no, but i should also have mentionned this was just a pre-test, he answered. Now, it is time for the real test, The Trial of the Elements. For this, i will pair you by team of two and send you in another dimension. You will have to work together to cross the many obstacles on you way...”
“Are we allowed to make the team ourselves?” asked Sunset.
“Ah, nope, said Discord. I will let the chance decide of that.”
Discord made a slot machine appear with two slots. He pulled the lever and the machine started. The first slot stopped on Twilight. He pulled the lever again and the roll stopped on Rarity.
“Twilight and Rarity will be the first team!! Said Discord. Let’s pass to the next one!!”
For the second round, the two slots stopped on Applejack and Sunset Shimmer. Then, in the third round, the slots stopped on Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.
“So that mean i am with Pinkie Pie, said Sunlight. Oh great...Really great....”
“We are going to have so much fun together!! Said Pinkie. Come on!! Smile!!”
“I don’t feel like it right now” he answered.
“Just enter this portal, said Discord. Good luck!!”
The 4 teams entered in the portal. Sunset and Applejack woked up in the middle of a desert.
“Well, fuck..., said Sunset. We are going to die...”
“I bet you would have loved having Sunlight with you, uh? Said Applejack. He would have felt in his element here...”
Sunset was about to remove her jacket but Applejack stopped her.
“Don’t, she said. We need to keep our skin as fresh as possible. You don’t want yours to be turned into a crisp.”
She stopped talking for a moment to look around.
“I believe my super strenght won’t be super useful here” she said.
“And neither will be my psychic powers, said Sunset. Let’s hope there is an Oasis somewhere near.”

Rarity and Twilight had landed in the middle of a creepy forest.
“I hate you, Discord” said Twilight.
Rarity was having a panick attack. Twilight tried to calm her down.
“Calm down, Rarity, she said. Everything will be fine. We might be lost in the middle of the woods, but there is nothing friends can’t overcome together! So please get over yourself...”
“You are right, said Rarity. I faced my worst fear, i can face this problem. Tell me you have a tool that could get us out of here...”
“I don’t, said Twilight. I have nothing on me except my clothes.”
“Oh gosh.” said Rarity

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had landed in the middle of the ocean, on an small island.
“I could probably use my superspeed to run on the water, said Rainbow Dash. But who know how big this ocean is? Plus, i can’t abandon Fluttershy here...”
“Maybe i could ask to a fish or a bird if they can help us” asked Fluttershy.
“Supposing you can find one” said Rainbow.
“Don’t be so negative, Dashie, said Fluttershy. I am sure our friends are dealing with worse right now”
Rainbow Dash groaned.
“Right...” she said.

Sunlight and Pinkie Pie had landed in the middle of a white, bland space. With no horizon, sky or ground. Just a seemingly endless white room
“Okay, this place is boring, said Pinkie. No balloons? No confettis?”
“My powers will be useless there, said Sunlight. No vegetation, no light, no sun, no water, no ground, no wind...I could use magic using my own magic pool, but it would drain my energy.”
“There must be a way to get out of there, said Pinkie. I am sure there is a secret door or portal that will get us out of there.”
“We are not in a cartoon, Pinkie. Said Sunlight. The solution won’t come to us when we expect it the less...”
“Found it!!” she said.
“Son of a..., he said. You are very lucky, you know...”
“I know, said Pinkie. Let’s not waste time!!”
She jumped in the hole in front of her. Sunlight gasped and followed her in the hole.
Sunset and Applejack walked for hours in the desert. They were exhausted and tired.
“I....Can’t...Walk...Any....Further, said Sunset. Let’s face it....We will die in the middle of that desert...At least, we will die together...”
Applejack took Sunset in her arms.
“We won’t die here, said Applejack to her. I promise we will find a way out. Trust me...It won’t end like this...”
Applejack walked and walked for minutes, until her legs stopped working.
“Applejack!! Said Sunset. Stop, you will kill yourself if you continue”
“I don’t care, she said. It’s either the both of us or only one of us...”
Applejack finally broke after a few more minutes.
“Applejack!! Look!! Said Sunset. I see an oasis in front of us!!”
“Are...You sure it’s not...A m...Mirage?” she asked.
“This is not a mirage, said Sunset. I know it because i am wearing Sunlight’s magic goggles. I hope he doesn’t get mad at me when he will realize it.”
Sunset and Applejack ran with the last bit of energy they had and jumped in the water. They stayed in it for a while.
“I am hungry, said Applejack. We refreshed ourselves, but we need something to eat.”
“I see fruits right there!! Said Sunset. Last arrived is a chicken!!”
They ate all the fruits they could and with a full belly, they were now sleepy.
“I hate too much, said Sunset. I need a nap.”
“Me too, said Applejack. Let’s recover our forces.”

Twilight and Rarity were still walking in the jungle
“So....Hot, said Rarity. I hate jungles...Moisture is not good for my hairs!! And my skin!”
“I have the feeling we are not even close to get out of this jungle, said Twilight. Maybe we don’t need to find the end of this jungle, but rather an exit inside it. Maybe one of those tree hide a secret portal...”
“No! Are you nuts?! Said Rarity. We are not going to touch every tree in this forest in order to check if there is a portal, If there is one!! And even if you were right, we will die of hunger or thirst before even discovering it!!”
“If only Sunlight was with us, said Twilight. He could probaly see something we can’t with his goggles, or using is magic to keep us safe...”
“Me too, said Rarity. But he won’t help us. This is not like him and Pinkie Pie were going to appear right in front of us with the answer...”
A portal opened in a tree and they saw Pinkie’s coming out of it. The portal closed as soon as she left it.
“Hi, girls!! She said. I am glad to see you!!”
“Oh, come on, said Rarity. This is ridiculous. How did you even get here? And where is Sunlight?”
“Oh, simple, she said. I discovered the access to a interdimensional tunnel with Sunlight. But i lost sight of him a few minutes after. I wandered for many hours in this tunnel, when i heard Rarity whinning. I ran in the direction of the noise and went through a portal...”
“Hum, do you think you can help us find the exit of this Jungle?” asked Twilight.
“Well, sure!! She said. Follow me, girls!!”

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had built a raft with the wood they had found. They left the island and were in the middle of the ocean.
“How much time passed since we left the island?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“I would say a few hours, answered Fluttershy. Why?”
“Just because i am bored, said Rainbow. We searched the whole island to find an exit, but without success. But who know if the ocean is the answer?”
“I am sure we will soon find an exit!!” she said.
The sky suddenly became darker and storm clouds were beginning to form.
“Oh oh, said Rainbow Dash. There is a nasty storm right in front of us!!”
“I am sure the exit is inside this storm, said Fluttershy. Let’s use my powers.”
She summoned a whale.
“Wait, you could do that from the beginning?! Said Rainbow Dash. Seriously!?”
“Yep, she answered. But you wanted to be in charge, so...”
“Fair point, said Dash. Next time we are in a situation like that, i will let you take the lead...”
They headed into the storm on the back of the whale. They were soon welcomed by the sheer violence of the rain and wind in their faces.
“If we continued on our raft, he would have been destroyed” said Rainbow.

In the desert, Applejack and Sunset had left the oasis for a while and were still trying to figure out where to find the exit.
“It’s hopeless, said Sunset. We will never get out of this place. I already feel the heat weaken my body and my concentration.”
“Let’s get back to the oasis then, said Applejack. We need to manage our forces as much as possible.”
Applejack and Sunset turned back and walked in direction of the oasis. They suddenly felt the ground shake under them.
“What is happening? Asked Sunset. And why do i have the feeling something terrible is coming for us?”
“This is not an earthquake, said Applejack. The dunes i see around us are not shaking. I think those vibrations might come from something underground, something big. Let’s run as fast as we can!!”
The two girls started running away from the epicenter of the vibrations, suddenly, they heard a loud noise, a growl coming from beneath the sand. Applejack pushed Sunset out of the way and jumped back, avoiding both of them to be eaten or hurted by the monster that came off the ground.
“What is that?!” asked Sunset.
The creature was an giant mutated scorpion-like monster combined with a spider and a reptile. His head was the one of a reptile, his body was the one of a spider, with multiple sharp looking arms and his back, front arms and tail were those of a scorpion.
“Crap, said Sunset. It’s a Chimera!!”
“A what?!” asked Applejack.
“Basically a monster that combine 3 different creatures or animal into one” answered Sunset.
“We won’t be able to run away from it, said Applejack. Look like we will have to fight this monster. But why is he after us?”
Sunset closed her eyes and read the memories of the creature.
“He is angry that we invaded his home, said Sunset. More precisely the oasis we found.”
The creature charged in direction of the two girls, claws out and jaws open. Applejack jumped above the creature at the last moment and punched him in the face, between the eyes, knocking it back from a dozen of meters. The creature was not hurt, however.
“That did almost nothing to him, said Applejack. Do you think your psychic powers can deal with him?”
“I am already trying, she answered. But he is resisting. You will need to weaken him so i could put him asleep”
“I don’t know how i could do that, said Applejack. His body look pretty damn tough and my punches probably going to do nothing to him. And also, he could easily tear me apart with those arms of his or chomp me.”
“In this case, i think i could be useful, said a voice they both recognized. I am always up to a challenge.”
“Sunlight!!” said both of the girls.
“Leave it up to me, he answered. But if you want to be useful, Applejack, you can support me.”
Sunlight looked at the creature.
“I’ll give you two choices, he said. Either you leave me and my friends alone or i will have to burn you to a crisp...”
The creature charged at Sunlight.
“The hard way it is, then” he said.
Sunlight bended the sand underneath the creature into a big hand that grabbed it. He then crushed it on the ground.
“Since when you can bend sand like that?” asked Sunset.
“Since i finished my training, he said. All those months spend in the simulation machine helped my mastery of other elemental magics other than fire, like earth, air, nature, thunder, ice and water.”
The creature got up on his feet and looked at Sunlight with a death stare.
“How does it feel being crushed by sand?” said Sunlight.
The Chimera pointed his tail at Sunlight and started shooting magic poisonous stings. He blocked it with a barrier.
“Is this all you’ve got? Asked Sunlight. My turn now!!”
Sunlight threw at the creature a rain of fireball but they bounced on his back.
”Alright, his body is tougher than i expected, thought Sunlight. Hum...this monter is part lizard, and lizard are sensible to cold. I could create ice with my magic, but with this heat, it will melt pretty fast. If there was a water source somewhere near i could set a trap for the Chimera.”
“Water? Asked Sunset by telepathy. There is an oasis a few kilometers at the east. What is your plan?”
“I will bring him into water and then freeze the water with my ice magic” answered Sunlight.
Sunlight took Sunset and Applejack’s hand and teleported them in the oasis. They were soon joined by the monster who appeared out of the ground.
“Hey, dumbass!! Said Sunlight, standing above water. I am here!!”
He irritated the creature by shooting magic beams and fire balls at it. The monster rushed in his direction but stopped when close to the water. Suddenly, the creature was knocked in the water by a palm tree Applejack was holding like a baseball bat. Sunlight smiled and used his ice magic to freeze the lake, and by the same occasion, the monster.
“I am not done with you, said Sunlight. Blazing Supernova!!”
He threw at the monster a giant ball of fire that exploded, creating a lot of steam.
“Hellfire Blast!!” shouted Sunlight.
A violent stream of flames covered the creature for a few seconds. He stopped his attack and dissipated the smoke with the wind. The Chimera’s shell was fissured and the rest of his body was badly damaged.
“Time to end this...” said Sunlight.
He jumped on the back of the creature and started charging his body with electricity.
“Million Volt Overload” he whispered.
The chimera was electrocuted by a violent stream of lighting, so powerful that the monster’s insides fried. After a whole minute, the creature closed his eyes, dead. Sunlight then buried the dead monster in the sand and walked between the girls, who were stupefied. The three noticed the light coming from the now totally dry lake.
“You think it is...the portal?” asked Sunset.
“It is, said Sunlight. The light make no doubt. Let’s no waste time, there could be more like him soon.”
Applejack, him and Sunset jumped in the portal.

Twilight, Rarity and Pinkie Pie were fighting a group of angry Manticores that Pinkie accidentally pissed off earlier.
“There is too many! Said Rarity. We really need to find the exit right now!!”
A Manticore jumped on Twilight, but she threw him away using her magic. The creature crashed into a tree and broke it, the tree then fell on a pile of rock, breaking it and revealing a secret passage.
“Girls!! She said. I think i found a way to leave this place!! All in the portal!”
Rarity, Pinkie Pie and her ran the faster they could in direction of the magic portal. They fortunately managed to get through in time.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were in the middle of the storm.
“Rainbow Dash!! Said Fluttershy. Look!!”
She pointed a giant water maelstorm in front of them and light emanating from it.
“You think this is the exit?” asked Rainbow.
“I am sure” she answered.
When they approached the vortex, they were suddenly blocked by a giant monster.
“Oh no!! Said Fluttershy. Kraken at Twelve o’clock!”
“We have no time to fight him, said Rainbow Dash, we need to enter straight in this vortex.”
Her wings appeared on her back, followed by Fluttershy. They took height, then dived the faster they could in direction of the vortex. They easily pass through the Kraken’s tentacles and crossed the portal.
Sunlight opened his eyes and looked around him. Once again, he was alone in the middle of nowhere.
“Sunset? Applejack? Are you there?” he shouted.
But no answer. He got up and took a short breath.
“That was too good to be true, he said. But where am i?”
He heard a noise and instinctively dodged at the last second a blade coming right at him. A second one was thrown at him, one that he dodged and grabbed. He looked at the blade with surprise.
”Those are not blades, he thought. These are blade shaped darts. I heard about some monsters and insects throwing venomous darts at their preys and victims.”
Sunlight blocked a third, then a fourth dart.
“Stop doing that!! He said. Can’t you see that doesn’t work?”
A terrifying creature, half dragon, half Scorpion and half demon came out of the darkness. She had the lower body of a scorpion with dragon scales and a dragon tails and the upper body of a female humanoid demon.
“I didn’t received guest in my domain for quite a long time, said the creature. I didn’t ate from ages and i am hungry.”
“Sorry, gal, said Sunlight. But i am not going to let myself get eaten by some walking abomination.”
“The last one i ate also said the same thing, said the creature. Do you know who i am?”
“How dare you?!! I am the one and only, the great, the mighty Queen Stinger!!” she said.
“Never heard of you before, said Sunlight. And you don’t fool me with this appearance.”
“I’m sorry, what?” asked the creature.
“I know the form you have is not your true one, said Sunlight. So you can drop the act. I can see through your illusion”
“Really? Asked the creature, then what do i look like?”
“Hard to tell, he answered. You are human in appearence with green hairs and a dark black skin. You kinda remind me of a Changeling...”
The creature turned back to a young woman with a black skin, long green hairs and cute little fangs. She had large and translucid green wings, similar to dragonflies.
“How did you guess that was not my true form? Are you a psychic or something?”
“Me? No, answered Sunlight. I just have those awesome goggles that allow me to see past magic illusions, including shapeshifting. But i don’t need those glasses to see that you are not a bad person. Can you tell me what’s your name and where i am?”
She explained him that her name was Chrysalis and that she from the human world, the same one than him and Sunset. She told him that she was made fun of because of her weird appearance all her childhood. She also told him that a few years ago, she discovered that she could shapeshift into anything she wanted and that obviously, she used it to make her life better.
“But how did you get there?” asked Sunlight
“No, said Chrysalis. All i remember is that one second i was walking in the streets and the next one, in this place. I know that might sound crazy but it’s true, i was not banished because i did something wrong. It happened like that. I didn’t ask for that.”
“I believe, you, Said Sunlight. I know exactly who to blame for what happened to you. This is just that where i come from, You have a really bad reputation.”
“I wouldn’t be surprised, she said. But i am not like your Chrysalis. Despite being rejected and made fun of all my life, i never grew up bitter and hateful. I know that i was different but i saw this difference as something bad, but rather as something good. In fact, When i discovered my powers, i didn’t used them to get revenge on those who bullied me but rather make my own life better. With this shapeshifting power, i could finally look like anyone, look normal, be normal. But soon, i felt the need to feed, not on food, but on love. Because i had no experience with love, i used my shapeshifting powers to do things i am not proud of.”
“You worked as a prostitute?” he asked.
“Escort, to be exact, she said. I am not a cheap slut, i have some class, you know.”
“My name is Blaze, Sunlight Blaze, by the way, he said. But why did you try to kill me?”
“Sorry, she said. I was hungry. Those darts where supposed to infatuate you so i could drain your love and have a meal.”
“I can understand, he said. And i know a way to solve that hunger issue, but first, we need to get outta here. Did you find something since the time you are here?”
“No, she said. Nothing.”
Sunlight looked at the surroundings and saw a door a few hundreds of meters away.
“I see a door over here” he said.
She took is goggles and put them of her head.
“You are right!! She said. What are we waiting for? Time to get out of this place!!”
They both head to the door but are stopped by a magic barrier.
“Of course, said Sunlight. But i won’t let a little magic forcefield stop me. Chrysalis, stay behind me.”
Sunlight blasted the forcefield with everything he got. After a few seconds, it started to crackle.
“I need more power! Said Sunlight. Chrysalis, try to enrage me, or if you can’t, try to lit me on.”
Chrysalis transformed into a giant dragon and blasted Sunlight with a fire breath.
“That’s good, but not enough, i need something hotter than the sun!” he said.
Chrysalis swapped into a Magmagon, an humanoid creature that could create flames 100 times hotter than the surface of the Sun.
“Perfect, said Sunlight. Blast me with everything you got!!”
She put her hands on his shoulders and blasted him again with a radiating heat. Sunlight’s power multiplied by a lot and he was able to break the barrier.
“We did it! Said Sunlight. Thank you for your help.”
“You’re welcome, now, let’s get out of this place!!”
Both crossed the door and landed in the human world. Discord spew out his drink when he saw him with Chrysalis.
“Oh, already back? He said. Have you found that power you were seeking?”
“That was just lies, am i right?” asked Sunlight.
“In your case, yes...and no” answered Discord.
“Let me guess, the power i was seeking is already in me?” he asked
“Nothing beat the power of friendship and teamwork, said Discord. As long as you and your friends are there for each other, none shall defeat you.”
“So, what you say is that i don’t need some ex-machina hidden secret power to become stronger, said Sunlight. Just need to believe in those who are important to me. You could have just said that at the beggining, you know.”
“Yes, but you wouldn’t have met your new friend, said Discord. Yes, i am the one you sent you into this dimension, Chrysalis...I apologize for that.”
“You son of a b...!” she tried to say.
“Watch your language, said Discord. I gave you a golden opportunity, the one of having friends that will not judge you on your physique.”
“Do you know how horrible and painful it was to stay trapped in this nightmarish place? She said. Alone and with no one to talk to?”
“Girl, you passed only 1 months in this place, said Discord. I had been imprisonned in stone for a thousand years...So shut the hell up.”
“Seeing how much of a dick you are, she said. I would say you deserved it”
“You know i could banish you into another dimension easily, right? Asked Discord. So tone the attitude!”
“Stop, you two, said Sunlight. Discord, if you do to this girl what you did again, you can forget our Ogres and Oubliettes evening next Saturday”
“You wouldn’t do that...” said Discord.
“I know how important it is for you, said Sunlight. So pole the attitude”
“Fine, good luck with the rest, he said. I have important business to take care of”
He disappeared.
“I just hope my sister and her friends will soon come back, said Sunlight. I am thinking about that, did you had a home before being sent in another dimension?”
“Yes and no, she said. The advantage of being an escort is that you get paid to sleep in the room of a man, i only became an escort because i needed a place to sleep and to feed on love”
“You won’t have to do this anymore, said Sunlight. Sunset told me she wanted a roommate, you would be perfect for her.
“You think she will accept? Asked Chrysalis. I could just rent a chamber of my own and find a job to pay it, you know. I am sure this town have a Strip-Club or a Sex Bar.”

Chrysalis felt the tears coming out of her eyes.
“You really think it? She said. That would make me so happy.”
“If they could come back soon, he said. Do you like video games? Or movies?”
“I love RPG games, said Chrysalis. I was a beast at Ultimate Fantasy 7 and Monster Quest 8. And i do love a good romantic/comedy movie. And yes, i do love playing Ogres and Oubliettes, even if i was alone to play it.”
Discord appeared out of nowhere.
“Wait, did my ears heard what they heard?! Asked Discord. You also love playing Ogres and Oubliettes?!”
“I do, she said. But i won’t certainly play with you after what you did to me.”
“What do you want? Said Discord. A mansion? Unlimited money?”
“Your most sincere apologies” she answered.
“Ugh, said Discord. Fine...Ah-Hum. I am...Sorry for what i did to you, really sorry”
“If you could put more drama in it, it would be perfect” she said
“You...Ugh...I am sorry, sorry, sorry!! He said, with a deep voice. I feel so bad doing what i did to you, i will never forgive myself, never...Never...Please forgive me! Forgive me...”
She applauded.
“Thank you, he said. Thank you. So, was it enough dramatic for you?”
“That’s fine for me, she said. I except your apologies”
“So, will you join me, Spike and Sunlight at our next Ogre and Oubliettes night? He asked. Spike and me agreed that having a female player would be great!”
“Sure!” she said.
“Excellent!! He said. Oops, i almost forgot!!”
He teleported all the girls near Sunlight,
“Thank god i am back to this dimension, said Rainbow Dash. Those giant teddy bears and dolls were about to hug me to death”
“I will never get out of my mind what i just saw in this dimension, said Applejack. So much fanciness, so much luxury, so much over the top dresses”
“Oh! Said Rarity, insulted. You are lucky. I was trapped inside a farm with tons of cows, dirty pigs and stinky goats. The nightmare, the smell was everywhere!!”
“This is over, now, said Sunlight. You are a sadist Discord, you know that?”
“I know, I almost sent you in a place full of giant mutant spiders. He said. But then, you would just have burned them to a crisp.”
Sunset hugged Sunlight.
“Please tell me you are never going to abandon me!! She said. I couldn’t live without you and my friends!!”
Sunlight looked at Discord with a cold stare.
“Gotta go!!” he said.
“I will never leave you, Sunset, said Sunlight. You know that. You are too important to me for it to happen.”
Sunlight had introduced Chrysalis to his friends, telling them he met her in another dimension where Discord sent her for fun and that she helped him escape this same dimension. He also told them about what she went through and what she had to do to survive.
“That’s horrible, said Sunset. You poor soul. No one should live what you did. I would be more than willing to help you have a better life!!”
Chrysalis hugged her.
“We are all here to help you, Darling, said Rarity. I will help you to shine like a gem!!”
“I can teach work manual work, said Applejack. Trust me, there is nothing more rewarding than hard work”
“Ever thought about doing sport? Asked Rainbow Dash. I will help you get into shape!”
“I would not mind having a volunteer to help me at the Animal Shelter. Those cute animals need tons of love and have tons of love to give”
“That’s very nice from all of you, said Chrysalis. I am sorry, i didn’t feel that appreciated before. I would be more than happy to do that with all of you...”
“You are in good hands, said Sunlight. Just ask my sister and Twilight.”
“What are you going to do, Sunlight?” asked Sunset.
“Oh, nothing new, he answered. Just training until the final battle against Moonlight Frost.”
“I was wondering about that, said Sunset. Do you have any sort of connection with him, since, you know, he is the incarnation of your darker side?”
“Probably, he said. Why asking? Do you have something in mind?”
“If you had some sort of psychic connection, said Sunset, i could use it to see what Moonlight is doing, and use this knowledge at our advantage.”
“I like the way you are thinking, said Sunlight. But i don’t think we share a psychic connection. Maybe spiritual, or at last, physical.”
“What do you mean?” asked Chrysalis.
“I don’t know if hurting him will also hurt me as well, said Sunlight. What if everything that happen to him happened to me as well? Like if i banish him, would i be banished too? Or if he dies, would i die too?”
Meanwhile, Moonlight Frost was looking for an artifact in the middle of a village. He saw a woman trying to call for help but Moonlight froze her solid before she could use her phone. Around him, everything had been frozen, houses, men, women, childrens, animals, everything.
“I can’t believe i missed that one, he said. Now, where is that stone...”
He found it buried deep underground in a box. With is ice powers, he shattered the metal and wood covering it and laughed devilishly.
“There it is, he said. The legendary Star of the North. With this beauty in my possession, i will be able to extinguish the flame of my nemesis and destroy his pathetic friends as well. Then, i will take his sister as a trophy and turn her into an ice statue that i will enjoy watching while drinking iced tea.”
His laugh became more intense. Returning back to our heroes, Sunlight was also looking for an artifact that could help him resist cold. He asked Twilight if she heard of such a relic. She told him she’d look in the books of the royal library but that could take weeks before she find an information. So Sunlight turned to Discord, but this one didn’t want to be personally involved in this battle, insisting on the fact that he needed to trust his friends. Then, as he was looking in the town’s Library, he found a dusty old book laying on a shelf. It was telling the story of a mystic magic gem used by a very powerful Dragon Lord thousands of years ago to create what is today known as the Dragon Lands. This stone had, according to the book, held the power of a thousand Suns and could melt even Eternal Ice and any metal, magic or divine. But this stone had been lost and the last being who possessed it never told anyone what he did with it. The stone had been called the «Jewel of the Sun» due to it’s color and brightness. It also said that the gem was able to produce an infinite source of heat.
”This gem could be useful to me, he thought. If it can produce an infinite amount of heat, then i could use it as a magic battery in battle. Being able to use magic without being stopped by exhaustion or lack of stamina. But this stone could be anywhere in this world, or in Equestria, or it could also have been destroyed. Maybe i should ask Twilight if she heard of that stone.”
Sunlight rented the book and left the library and was stopped by Sunset on the way.
“So, i see you went to the Library, she said. What kind of book did you picked?”
She looked at the cover to read the title
“Everything about Artifacts and relics of the past, she read. Hum, Looking for something that might help you fight Moonlight?”
“Kinda, he said. But i didn’t found anything interesting for now.”
“Can i talk with you about something?” she asked.
“Let me guess, he said. You disapprove what i am doing, right?”
“I don’t, she answered. I was just wondering why you are always so willing to take things on your own. I mean, you have friends, you have me, we are not useless, you know.”
“I know you are here to cover my back, he said. Only, You can’t always count on other to get out of a sticky situation. If you or one of our friends is hurt is missing, the Magic of Friendship might be unable to work. I couldn’t forgive myself if something happened to you, or to your friends.”
“I suppose you have a point, she said. I understand that you care about me and my friends, but you don’t need to always protect us from a powerful enemy. We can protect you as well, you know. If you fail, we are here for you, i would do everything to protect you the same way you would do with me.”
“You are right, he said. But the enemy we are going to fight is not other than myself. It’s personal this time. Sometime, you need to fight your own battles.”
“It’s also personal for me as well, she said. He is in one way my brother too.”
“And this is why i don’t want you to be in this fight, he said. He probably want to keep you for himself, and not in a good and respectful way. He will probably use you as a shield against me and your friends.”
“Hum, but maybe we could use this at our advantage, she said. What if i was on the field while not being in it at the same time?”
“You mean...” said Sunlight.
“Chrysalis have shapeshifting abilities, right? Asked Sunset. We could use them to our advantage. She would take my appearance and serve as a bait for Moonlight. And you would just have to protect and interact with her like if it was me while i will be watching the fight from the sideways "
“That’s pretty ingenious, he said. I am impressed!! If Moonlight succeed to put his hands on her, she could always turn into a dinosaur or a giant monster to free herself. I will explain your plan to Chrysalis while you will explain it to your friends. Okay?”
“In that case, let’s not waste time, she said. Moonlight could come at any moment.”
They both headed in different directions. Sunlight arrived in his room and saw Chrysalis sleeping on his bed. He tapped her shoulder to wake her up.
“Sorry, she said, sleepy. I was tired and your bed seemed cozy, so i decided to take a nap on it, i hope you are not mad at me...”
“We need your help” he said.
He explained to Chrysalis the plan his sister came up with sooner.
“Are you sure i risk nothing? She asked. I am willing to act as your sister, but...”
“You can turn into a giant dinosaur if you wanted, he said. Or a ferocious fire breathing dragon if Moonlight put his hand on you.”
“True, she said. Hum, what is that book you are holding?”
“A book about artifacts and magic relics” he said.
“Have you found one that could helps us in the battle?” she asked.
“I did find a page talking about a magic jewel that can radiate an infinite quantity of heat, he answered. But the book doesn’t mention what happened to it or where it could be.”
He showed her the picture of the stone.
“Wait a minute, she said. I recognize that gem.”
“You do?” asked Sunlight.
She put her hand in her bag. After a few second, she took out a shiny red gem that was looking like a sun.
“Is this the stone you were looking for?” she asked.
Sunlight took the stone and this one instantly started to shine intensively.
“Where did you got it? He asked. It is the one i was looking for.”
“Where? She answered. Well, one of my many “customers” was an archeologist, a treasure hunter. He didn’t have enough money on him to pay me so he gave me this gem as a compensation. I was about to sell it before i was teleported you know where.”
“What are the odds? Asked Sunlight. You are amazing!! Don’t worry, i swear to make it up to you after i...after we defeated Moonlight.”
“You don’t need to...” she said.
”Now, i have to find a way to connect this stone to my body, he thought. Hum, absorbing the stone is unthinkable, he said, it would kill me. But i could infuse it to a part of my body, like some of those dark wizards, monsters or warlord that have magic stones embedded on their head or chest.”
Sunlight removed his shirt and tried to put the stone in his chest but nothing happened.
”I maybe need to pronounce an incantation, he thought. I must have missed something in this book.”
Sunlight found written in the back of the page an incantation.
“Must be this one, he said. Alright...”
“Wait, should you not do this somewhere else? Asked Chrysalis. What if you burn the entire house by accident?”
“It’s okay, he said. Everything in this room have been enchanted to be fireproof.”
“I am not!” she said.
“In this case, you should probably go outside the room” said the hero.
She obeyed and left the room. Sunlight started pronouncing the incantation while having the stone against his chest. When he finished the incantation, the stone fused to his chest, only letting half of it visible from the outside. Immediately, he felt overflowed with an incredible amount of heat and thought he was going to burn alive. But suddenly, the flow stopped and the stone started glowing more lightly. Chrysalis entered.
“Is this over?” she asked.
“Yes, answered Sunlight. You can get in.”
Chrysalis was captivated by the stone embedded in Sunlight’s chest.
“Awesome, she said. Did you at least read what written under that incantation?”
“No” he answered.
“Well, it said that of you pronouce the spell backward to get the stone out of your body, she said. And it also said that the only thing that can counter it’s power is it’s opposite, the North Star, which is the name of a magic stone that can produce an infinite amount of cold.”
“And you think Moonlight is probably going to have it in his possession? Asked Sunlight. What i am saying...Of course he would. Is there something else?”
“No, she answered. The rest doesn’t matter. Well, what’s next?”
“Reunite the team, he said. We have everything we need to take on Moonlight.”
Sunlight, Sunset (Chrysalis), Rainbow Dash, Twilight and the rest of the group were together outside the limits of the town to make sure not to bring destruction to the city. They were surprised to see Moonlight Frost already waiting for them.
“You finally came, he said to Sunlight and the group. And with all you friends.”
He looked at Sunset Shimmer and smiled. Sunlight put himself in front of her and starred at him.
“You’ll have to beat me first” he said.
“And us!! Said Twilight. Get ready everyone!”
Rainbow Dash ran toward Moonlight and jumped in the air to kick him. Frost stopped her with his hands and threw her away. Twilight then shot at him a flurry of magic projectiles that Rarity combined with explosive gems. The villain casted a barrier to protect himself. Sunlight profited of this distraction to strike at the speed of light with a blade of light and hit Frost to the chest and then combo’d with a flaming meteor kick to the back. Frost hit the ground violently. Applejack used a rope to tie him and then lauched him into the air, where Rainbow Dash succesively hit him. She grabbed him and sent him to Applejack who sucker kicked him before he touched the ground. Fluttershy then ordered the surrounding animals to attack Moonlight while Pinkie Pie blinded him with Trixie’s smoke bombs.To finish, Sunlight threw at him a huge fireball that caused a massive explosion.
“That’s called teamwork!! Said Rainbow Dash. How do you find that?”
“You were awesome, said Sunlight. That training sure paid off!”
“I doubt that took care of him, said Fluttershy. There he is!!”
They looked at Moonlight, who was angry.
“Why...You...Little, he said. I was not expecting that much power.”
“What were you expecting? Said Twilight. We are 8, you are alone. And one of us is your doppleganger.”
Moonlight was suddenly covered of shadows and created multiple dark copies of the mane 6.
“Get them, he said to the clones. And let Sunlight to me”
“Get ready, y’all, said Applejack, those fake versions of ourselves look pretty strong!!”
Moonlight threw at Sunlight multiple spears of ice that are countered by fireballs. Then they started hitting each other with their fists. Sunlight kicked Frost in the stomach with his knee and Frost did the same. They then clashed with magic blades that created sparks of light and shadow. Rainbow Dash destroyed her clone with a powerful kick, but this one came back like nothing happened.
“Dang it, she said. At this beat, we are going to get defeated”
“The only thing that could get rid of them for good is light magic, said Twilight. But only Sunlight can use it.”
“I have a plan, said Applejack. Sunlight!! We need light!! Rarity, be ready to create the most crystals you can!!”
Sunlight sent Moonlight away and threw at Rarity a huge beam of light. She materialized crystal prisms that redirected and amplified the attacks, until each of the clones were vaporized. Moonlight sucker punched Sunlight and blasted him with a beam of magic.
“I have enough of this, he said. Time to get serious!! Subzero Storm!!”
Ice began to cover everyone on the ground.
“Try to survive this” he said.
“I can’t...Move, said Rainbow Dash, my body is frozen.”
The gem on Sunlight’s chest started to glow and the ice started to melt.
“Impossible!! Said Frost. The Star of the North’s ice can’t be melted by magic or regular fire!! How?!”
Sunlight smiled and revealed the stone on his chest.
“No!! He said. It can’t be!! How did you get it!!?”
“Oh, i found it totally by chance” he answered.
”Damn it, he thought. I didn’t expect him to find the only relic that could counter mine. I need to find a way to deal with them fast...”
He activated the full power of the North Star and transformed into an bipedal Ice Dragon. With a single hit if his tail, he sent everyone flying in the air and landed on the ground violently.
“I will kill you!! He said. I will kill you all!!”
“He is too strong for us in this form, said Chrysalis. What do we do?”
“His body can’t hold that much power, said Sunlight. And not for a long period of time.”
“Let me handle him, she said. I will occupy him until he turn back to normal.”
“Stick to the plan, said Sunlight. We need to destroy that stone before it’s too late!!”
Chrysalis opened the book and read a page.
“If the two stones touch each other directly, they will both be destroyed” she said.
“Everyone!! Said Sunlight. Let’s show this dragon that we don’t give up easily!!”
The group started attacking the dragon from all directions, distracting him long enough to allow Sunlight to remove the gem from his body. Rainbow Dash crashed near him and got up quickly.
“How is your aim?” asked Sunlight to her.
“Deadly, she answered. Why?”
“I know how we can tame him, he said. You have to make this stone touch directly Moonlight’s magic gem. Spot where it is and rush as fast as you can.”
“Got it!! She said. You can count on me!!”
“You will probably need my goggles! Said Sunlight. Take them!!”
She put them on her head and flew around the dragon. She spotted the gem on his chest. She removed the goggles and saw nothing on it.
“You sly dog, said Rainbow Dash. Time to end this!!”
She rushed at Moonlight at the speed of sound and threw the magic red gem against Frost’s one. The contact made both of the stone loose their magic and then shatter.
“Noooo!! Said Moonlight. Damn you!!”
He turned back to normal. He yelled of pain and anger.
“Give up, said Sunlight. That transformation must have pull a toll on your body. You are defeated.”
“No, i refuse to be defeated!! He said. I am going to reduce you and everything else to space dust!!”
He teleported high in the air and used all of his magic to create a giant ball of pure, dark, evil energy.
“Oh no, said Sunlight. If this thing touches the ground, everything in a radius of 1000 kilometers will be vaporized.”
“What can we do!!?” asked Twilight.
Sunlight teleported under Moonlight.
“What are you...?!” he asked.
“Flashing nova!!” shouted Sunlight.
His body suddenly shone a hundred time brighter than the Sun and blinded Frost. This one lost the control of his magic ball. Twilight and her friends hold their hands and destroyed the weakeaned giant shadow ball with a Rainbow Laser. Sunlight grabbed Frost and teleported him on the ground.
“You think you defeated me? Asked Frost. I still have a last card to play...”
He summoned an amulet that he put around his neck, making him immune against magic.
“This amulet cancel any type of magic, he said. And my armor protect me from direct and physical attacks. And it will replenish my energy in a matter of minutes.”
“I won’t need magic to finish you, said Sunlight. It’s time i also use my secret card.”
Sunlight pushed on a button on his bracelet. His costume turned into a full hi-tech armor.
“Awesome!!” said Rainbow Dash.
Sunlight punched Frost in the face so hard that he was sent many meters away. He then teleported and started beating the crap out of him. His armor finally broke after a couple of hits and Sunlight broke the amulet with a last, powerful punch. Moonlight teleported away before hitting the ground and looked at the group with despair and fear.
“I have to retreat, he thought. They won this battle. But i will be back!!”
He grabbed a magic rune to open a portal and disappeared through it. Sunlight pushed on the button to make his armor go away.
“Darn it, he ran away, the coward!!” said Applejack.
“That’s okay, said Sunlight. I will come back and we will wait for him. Thank you to all of you, You were all incredible.”
Chrysalis turned back to her true form and smiled. Twilight and her friends hugged each other and then Sunlight. They were joined by Sunset, who hugged Sunlight, Chrysalis and then her friends.
“A victory like that, that deserve to be celebrated!! Said Pinkie. It’s party time!!”
Sunlight smiled at Sunset, and then Chrysalis.
“I won’t argue this time, he said. Let’s have fun!!”
They walked in direction of the town, laughing. Meanwhile...
”They defeated me, said Moonlight. It was a mistake to take them alone...But that won’t be the case next time we see each other....He he he he he....”
