While looking for answers about who she is and where she came from, Scootaloo and her friends discover creatures called Bakugan and start a game that will change the world forever.

Fifteen years ago a mysterious wave of energy struck the Earth in what is now known as the Great Collision. Aside from the one crater left in Pinpoint Park it didn't seem to have any effect though. On that very same day Scootaloo was discovered on her moms doorstep and now that she's grown she can't shake the feeling that the two events are related, so when her two best friends in the world ask what she wants to do for her fifteenth adoption day she simply says, "I want to look for answers."

Those answers may lead to even more question though as they discover strange creatures called Bakugan and the larger then life game that can be played with them. What does all this mean and how does it relate to Scootaloo... well only way to find out BAKUGAN BRAWL!

A Special Day

View Online

She saw a star filled sky, that's how it always started. A star filled sky, a planet she didn't even know the name of yet somehow felt a connection too, a blue light crashing into the Earth, and the sound of a baby crying. This is what she saw and heard, what she always saw and heard before what happened next, she woke up.

Scootaloo's eyes sleepily opened as she slammed her alarm clock and thought, "Another nights sleep, same old questions," before groaning as she got up and made her way over to to her desk to look at herself in the mirror. As she sat up and looked at herself she chuckled saying, "Well I certainly don't look like some kind of alien from an unknown planet," as she took in her messy hair and wrinkled pajamas. She then glanced at her calendar as she noticed what day it was and smiled further as she ran out of her room and into the living room as she was greeted to Lofty relaxing on the couch watching TV.

As she entered the woman muted the TV as she looked over and smiled saying, "Well someones excited for her big day."

"You betcha ML," said Scootaloo, sort for Mom Lofty, as she smiled at one of the women who raised her before the other one walked in with a plate of pancakes.

"Happy Adoption Day sweetie," said Holiday as she placed the plate of pancakes on the table with a smile of her own.

"Thanks MH," said Scootaloo as she sat down and dug into her meal. "Delicious as always."

"Oh, I'm glad you like it," said Holiday with a grin.

"Say do you think I could get some of those hun?" asked Lofty as she glanced towards her wife, already knowing the answer.

And so it came as Holiday chuckled saying, "Maybe you could have some on your Birthday... speaking of which.."

Holiday looked over at Scootaloo as she paused eating and shied saying, "Look I know you want me to think of this as my Birthday and deep down I want to too but... I just can't give up the hope that I might know when my real birthday is," before she looked down sadly.

"Oh, I understand dear," said Holiday as she had her own sad look.

As they simply sat in silence Scootaloo thought, "It's not that I don't love them, far from it in fact as I really do think of them as my moms and am great full for everything they've done for me from taking care of me to even paying for a therapist to talk to me about my recurring dreams but... no matter how hard I try I just can't stop wondering where I came from."

This silence persisted for a moment before Lofty decided to break it by unmuting the TV as they were greeted to a white skinned woman with purple hair and a matching purple pants suit as she stood before a fenced off crater saying, "Good morning Canterlot City, this is Rarity Belle reporting live from Pinpoint Park on the fifteenth anniversary of the Great Collision, and sadly the fifteenth year of us not knowing what really happened here. That could change at any time though as we have scientists working here round the clock to try and solve this mystery... and guards keeping any civilians out so sadly we can't talk to these scientists right now." She then glared at someone off screen as she muttered, "Why do I always get the puff pieces," before she cleared her throat and turned back to the camera saying, "Well that's all for now, let's go over to Flash Sentry with the weather."

Lofty then cut the TV off as Scootaloo looked at the two of them saying, "Are you sure you two don't remember something about that day you haven't told me?"

"We're sure sweetie, between all the videos you've watched of it and articles you've read about it you probably know more about it then either of us," said Holiday as she looked towards Scootaloo thinking, "I wish I could give her the answers she wants but I just don't have them... and more then that part of me is scared that if I did they'd just be disappointing compared to whatever she's imaged."

"Yeah, but it's still weird to me that neither of you paid much attention to a huge light blanketing the sky and striking the Earth," said Scootaloo pouting.

"Eh, what can I tell ya, the crying baby that suddenly showed up on our doorstep seemed more important," said Lofy with a smile as she put her arm on Scootaloo before she continued saying, "Speaking of which this little lady still hasn't gotten her present yet."

This caused Scootaloo to perk up slightly as she watched Holiday exit the room and Lofty just looking at her with a knowing smile. Once Holiday returned pushing a large box that perk turned into a full on smirk as she excitedly ran over and asked, "Oh man, what is it!?"

This caused Holiday to let out a giggle as Lofy said, "Well don't just stand there asking, open it and find out."

Holiday went over to the couch and sat next to her wife as Scootaloo tour into the paper and the box inside as her smile only grew wider at seeing what it was. "AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER!" she cried out happily.

Lofty chuckled as she said, "Well I figured you were getting kind of old for your old foot petal one... I would have gotten you one last year but this one over here thinks the're too dangerous."

Holiday looked embarrassed as she said, "I admit I was a little worried, but I trust you to always be safe and wear your helmet."

Scootaloo barely heard that though as she soon rushed over to them and wrapped them both in a hug saying, "Thanks moms, I love you both so much!"

Holiday got somewhat teary eyed as she smiled returning the hug and saying, "We love you too sweetie."

The three simply sat in joy for a moment before Lofty spoke up saying, "Well I guess you should ride that new scooter over to your clubhouse and show it off to your friends."

"Really!?" asked Scootaloo excitedly as she did indeed want to do that, but felt like it would be rude to ask.

"Yeah, I knew you wouldn't want to spend your big day with a couple of old women so I made sure it was all charged up and ready to go," said Lofty with a smirk.

"You're the best ML!" said Scootaloo as she quickly ran to her room got changed, grabbed her helmet, and ran towards the door with the new scooter.

"Just be carefully, and don't stay out too late!" called out Holiday.

Unfortunately she got no response as Scootaloo had already left before she could finish talking. Holiday sat back in concern as Lofty put a hand on her shoulder saying, "Hey, you know she'll be fine right?"

"I know, but I can't help worrying about her... she's our little gift you know," said Holiday.

"I know," said Lofty with a warm smile as she cuddled into her wife trying to calm not only her down, but herself down as well.

Scootaloo screamed in joy as she rocketed through Sweet Apple Acres at new found speed, before she knew it she found herself at the door of her friends clubhouse as she thought, "We seriously gotta try and come up with a new name for this place already... or at least a name for our group, can't really have a club house without a club name after all."

As she rolled up and knocked on the door she was greeted to no response. She tried knocking again before opening the door and seeing nothing but darkness. As she stepped in though that darkness dissapeared as the lights cut on to reveal Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom as they both yelled out, "HAPPY ADOPTION DAY SCOOTALOO!" as they gestured to a banner that said the same on it.

"Thanks girls," said Scootaloo with a warm smile as she looked out at her two best friends in the world. The smile soon turned smug though as she said, "Oh, check out this sweet new scooter my moms gave me."

She gestured the scooter towards them only for them to look unimpressed as Apple Bloom scratched her head nervously saying, "About that..."

"Lofty told us about it a while back," said Sweetie Belle.

"Ah what?!' said Scootaloo somewhat annoyed her friends knew about her gift before her.

"Yeah, she told us about it so that we could get you stuff that went with it," said Apple Bloom.

"Oh," said Scootaloo as her annoyance melted into curiosity at the idea of getting more gifts.

"I got you this helmet," said Sweetie as she gestured an orange helmet with purple wings on the side.

"OH SWEET!" said Scootaloo as she quickly tossed her old helmet aside in favor of strapping on the new one.

"I couldn't really think of anything spiffy like that to get ya, so I just got the hitch attachment so you can pull our wagon on this scooter too," said Apple Bloom holding the simple piece of metal.

Scootaloo simple chuckled at that as she said, "Practical as always Bloom," and took the hitch in her hand. She looked over at her friends as she said, "Thanks you guys," as they soon joined into a group hug.

That hug was quickly broken though as Apple Bloom moved to the podium at the front of the room and said, "Alright yall, time to call the meeting of the.... whatever we are to order, as always I have to ask, does anyone have a good name for our group yet?"

"Something involving Canterlot maybe... so that way if one of your cousins or one of Rarity's friends from the city like it they can form their own unique branch," said Sweetie Belle.

"Hmm, that's not much but it's the best point we've had in weeks so definitely adding it to the list," said Apple Bloom as she quickly jotted it down. "So, any ideas from the A Day girl?"

"Hmm... I don't know. I feel like a good name will come to us eventually but.... I just don't know," said Scootaloo as she trailed off as her excitement began to melt away to the introspection she had earlier.

Her friends where quick to recognize this as she Apple Bloom sighed saying, "Not this Great Collision stuff again. I thought we where past this."

"It's kind of hard to get past something you dream about every night," said Scootaloo as she looked upward in thought.

Apple Bloom sighed once again as she folded her arms in frustration at having this conversation again. Thankfully Sweetie Belle was somewhat more tactfull as she said, "Didn't your therapist say those dreams are likely just caused by seeing the Great Collision when you where so young, coupled with the trauma of being abandoned at the same time."

Scootaloo let out her own sigh as she said, "Yeah... he did and honestly I want to believe him and live a normal life but no matter how hard I try I just can't shake the feeling there is something more to it. That I wasn't just some baby who happened to be abandoned that night by coincidence."

Apple Bloom's slight frustration began to crumble as she thought, "Wow, I know she's always thought stuff like this but she's never quite said it all out loud like this before."

Scootaloo looked around at the two of them as she thought, "I know I've mentioned all this too them before but I've never gone particularly in depth about my feelings like that before... screw it I've come this far might as well get it all off my chest." She then let another sigh as she looked towards them thoughtfully and said "I know it's probably something every adopted kid goes through, thinking the're like Super Man or something and where abandoned by their parents for some great and noble reason, but I don't think many others had such a big event happen the day they where adopted before."

"That is true," said Sweetie Belle as she thought on that thinking, "I know I did say it being a coincidence makes more sense.... but it is kind of hard to argue coincidence when talking about something that's happened once in recorded history."

"I'm not saying I think I'm something special... far from it actually as I do logically know I'm just your average teenage girl but... sometimes I just feel like if I could stand in Pinpoint Park for just five seconds I'd have the answers to any questions I'd ever wondered about myself," said Scootaloo as she looked at her friends somberly. "I know it's ridiculous to think stuff like that, especially considering that I can't actually stand there to try and prove myself wrong and get all this out of my system... but I just..." Scootaloo trailed off as a few tears began to form in her eyes.

The three of them sat in silence for a moment before Scootaloo wiped the tears away as she said, "Sorry, I got all existential there out of no where girls."

"No it's fine," said Sweetie Belle worriedly.

"Yeah... it honestly sounds like that was a long time coming," said Apple Bloom.

Scootaloo nodded at how understanding they where as she said, "So anyway, let's try hooking up my scooter to the wagon and see how much this baby can pull."

They nodded at Scootaloo as she quickly ran outside, once she was busy hooking everything up Apple Bloom looked at Sweetie saying, "You know what we have to do right?"

"Yup," responded Sweetie Belle before saying, "You know how much trouble we'll get in if we get caught?"

"Yup," added Apple Bloom before she looked over at Scootaloo wiping away some lingering tears as she smiled and attached the wagon. "But you also think its worth it for her don't you?"

"Yeah," said Sweetie as the two of them silently began forming a plan as they joined Scootaloo outside.

Several hours later

Scootaloo laid in bed gazing up at her ceiling as she quietly said, "Another Adoption Day that should have been perfect but I had to go ahead and talk about all this stuff I've been thinking about. Sure my moms are used to it and while I may have dumped a little more on Sweetie and Bloom then usual they seemed to be cool about it but still... that doesn't change the fact that I talked about it all and now I can't stop thinking about and get some sleep already." As Scootaloo buried her face into her pillow in frustration she suddenly heard a soft knock at her window. For a second she thought she was hearing things but after hearing the knock again she decided to get up and investigate.

Once she reached it she saw the faces of her two best friend in the world as she quietly opened the window and whispered, "What are your girls doing here?"

"You said you wanted to stand in Pinpoint Park, and we're going to make it happen," said Sweetie Belle resolutely.

"Wha- but... you don't need to do that, I just need to get over this stuff on my own is all," said Scootaloo.

"Pffth, yeah right," said Apple Bloom. "People have been telling you that for years, us included, and it hasn't happened. Maybe it's about time you try leaning into these feelings."

"Well I," began Scootaloo but didn't know where to go from there as she honestly never thought this would happen. Her head swirled with all the thoughts she'd been trying to ignore now fully brought to the surface, but one soon stuck out as she said, "But wait, no ones allowed to go there, how would we even-"

Before she could finish Sweetie cut her off saying, "No more questions, just get dressed and follow us."

Without much time to question this Scootaloo did as instructed before climbing out the window as the three set off.

As the three made their way through the bushes approaching Pinpoint Park, Scootaloo finally decided to speak up again saying, "You know there's still time to turn back right?"

"Do you REALLY want to?" asked Sweetie Belle as she looked at her already knowing the answer.

"Well... no, but you guys can, we don't all have to get in trouble," said Scootaloo as she felt nervous for her friends.

"Yeah right, like we're going to just leave you alone in a time like this, besides this was our idea anyway," said Apple Bloom.

"About that... what exactly is the plan because this place is always crawling with scientists..." Scootaloo began saying as they exited the bush and where greeted to the fence keeping everyone out and nothing more as she said, "Wait, where are they?"

The girls simply smiled as Sweetie Belle said, "Well maybe someone happening to mention to their reporter older sister that they could get an interview with them all late at night when no one would be around to notice them leave their posts for a minute."

"Woah," said Scootaloo as she hadn't even thought of doing something like that. "But wait what about the guards? I mean I know there is never many of them but I'm sure they'll notice if a couple kids hop the fence and start running into the crater," said Scootaloo as she spotted two guards talking just about twenty yards away.

"Taken care of," said Apple Bloom as she pulled some kind of remote out of her pocket. "Remember that magician we hired for the Apple Day Fair a while back?"

"Yeah.." asked Scootaloo not sure where this was going.

"Well.... she happened to leave to some of her spare fire works behind," said Apple Bloom before she pushed the button and suddenly the sky to the east of the fence was lit up with the words 'GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE' as the guards began to yell over their walkie talkies and head in that direction.

Scootaloo's jaw dropped at this as she gazed at the now totally empty park.

Sweetie Belle simply said, "Well what are you waiting for?" as she and Apple Bloom began climbing the fence.

Scootaloo followed suit still surprised at all that was happening as she said, "But... what about security cameras?"

"Not a problem, there aren't any. Apparently right before the Great Collision hit all the technology around here just blinked out for a minute so they figured that putting in something that couldn't see if something big happened would be a waste of time," said Apple Bloom.

"Wow, you girls really thought of everything," said Scootaloo as they reached the other side of the fence and began jogging.

"Well of course, we're your friends and it's your A Day. We gotta do our best to make it special after all... even if that means doing things that aren't exactly legal," added Sweetie with a chuckle.

Scootaloo let out her own laugh at that as she said, "Thanks girls, I know that this must seem weird to all of you but I'm glad you're helping me anyway."

"It's no problem at all sugar cube... well not NO problem since Applejack would probably tan my hide if she found out about this but you get what I mean," said Apple Bloom.

"I do, and no matter what happens I'm always going to be grateful for this," said Scootaloo as she and the others came to a stop dead center in the Pinpoint Park crater.

The three simply stood in silence before Apple Bloom spoke up saying, "Well at least the view of the stars is really pretty from here."

"Yeah... I never really knew what I expected to happen here," said Scootaloo as she thought, "I knew deep down this would be it, that absolutely nothing would happen... but still it does hurt a little bit to have confirmation."

As she began to feel pain and disappointment threaten to overtake her she heard a mysterious voice say, "Finally you're here."

Before she could fully process whether or not she really heard that or if it was just her imagination, Sweetie Belle spoke up saying, "OH!" as she pulled out her phone. "We timed it so we would be standing here at eleven pm, exactly when the Great Collision first started." She glanced at her phones clock as she said, "and it will be eleven in three, two," before she could finish though her phones screen went totally black. "What the... I thought I just charged this," said Sweetie in confusion as she pushed the power button to no avail.

This snapped Scootaloo back to reality as she pulled out her own phone and was greeted to the same black screen as she said, "What the, I know mine was charging before you girls got me."

Apple Bloom simply chuckled as she said, "This is why I kept trying to warn you girls that you can't rely on those things too much," as she pulled out her tried and true pocket watch... only to then stare at in confusion as she said, "Or maybe I spoke too soon. My watch stopped right before eleven."

As the three stared at their respective devices in confusion, Sweetie soon spoke up shakily as she said, "Um girls, isn't this exactly what people said happened right before the-"

Before Sweetie could finish they where all interrupted as a hexagon of pure blue light suddenly appeared above them as they all yelled out, "The Great Collision!" As they stared up at the hexagon it started to break apart as the pieces of it fell down like rain. Scootaloo was the first to regain her composure as she grabbed her friends hands and started running as she said, "MOVE!"

Soon they all were back to their senses as they moved around trying their best to make sure the light didn't hit them as while none of them knew what would happen, they where scared to see... well most of them were as Scootaloo thought, "If it was just me I'd chance it and see what would happen if it hit me... after all this is the kind of thing I came out here for, but I can't do that knowing that it could put Sweetie and Bloom in danger."

As quickly as the rain came though it left as things seemed to suddenly go back to normal. The three girls panted for a moment as they took all that happened in. Bloom then spoke up saying, "Well Scoots, looks like you where right about something happening if you stood here."

"Ye-yeah," said Scootaloo with a chuckle before she turned serious as she continued saying, "I'm just sorry you where all in danger because of it."

"Hey what's a little near death experience between friends," added Sweetie with a smirk. "I'm just sorry you didn't get any answers."

"Yeah I-" began Scootaloo before they noticed something odd. Just in front of them the rain had seemed to coalesce into what looked like a sphere of rippling water, and at the center of said sphere was another smaller yet seemingly solid sphere.

"What is that?" asked Apple Bloom.

As they looked in awe Scootaloo suddenly heard the voice from earlier say, "Bakugan," as if it was answering the question.

"Did either of you hear that?" asked Scootaloo.

"Hear what?" replied Sweetie.

Scootaloo didn't answer though as she began reaching her hand out towards the Bakugan, as she now believed it was called.

"Hold on there we don't know what," began Apple Bloom, but before she could finish Scootaloo made contact with the liquid outer layer that seemed to break apart like a bubble as the solid orb inside clattered to the ground giving a distinct plastic clang.

"What is that thing?" asked Sweetie.

"I think it's called a... Bakugan," said Scootaloo as she reached out towards the plastic ball.

"And what in the blooming apples is a Bakugan?!" asked Apple Bloom.

Before anyone could reply they suddenly heard voices yelling, "THERE WAS A LIGHT OVER HERE NOW!" and "THIS BETTER NOT BE ANOTHER PRANK!"

"We'll figure it later, let's go," said Scootaloo as she quickly scooped up the ball and put it in one of the baggy pockets of her cargo shorts and the three took off back towards the fence.

"Hurry before they see us!" said Apple Bloom as they approached it, and whether it be from adrenaline speeding them up or fear screwing up their sense of time they soon found themselves all standing in the street a fair distance away from Pinpoint Park as they struggled to catch their breath.

"OK, that was too close!" said Sweetie as she looked around worried to make sure they weren't followed.

"Sorry about this again girls," said Scootaloo.

"Don't worry about it, I just hope that Bakugan thing was worth it," said Apple Bloom.

"Yeah... me too," said Scootaloo as she reached towards her pocket to pull it out, only for Sweetie to place her arm on her and stop her.

"Hold on now, we don't know what that thing is or what it can do, now might not be best time to mess with it," said Sweetie Belle as she looked at her friend in concern.

"She's right, and you definitely shouldn't mess with it alone in case it's dangerous," added Apple Bloom.

"Well... I guess you're right. We did start this together after all so it only makes sense we keep going together," said Scootaloo before she added, "That is if you're up for it."

Sweetie chuckled as she said, "Oh you know we're in."

"Definitely in, after all we where willing to possible get arrested just to satisfy some delusion, now that we know you're right and could actually get the answers you're looking for of course we're gonna help," said Apple Bloom with a smirk.

Scootaloo smiled at that and hugged them both once more saying, "I couldn't ask for better friends. So then let's meet up at the club house tomorrow at 8am and we can try and figure this out."

"Sounds like a plan," said Apple Bloom.

"I'll see you then," added Sweetie before the three of them broke out of the hug and went their separate ways.

Scootaloo soon found herself back in her bed room as she quietly slipped back into her pajamas and carefully sat the Bakugan on her bed side table. She looked it over as she thought to herself, "It seems to be made of various blue and black panels that look like they can open up... I wonder how... NO! You promised Bloom and Sweetie you'd wait to figure out all the stuff about this." She then sat the ball down before laying in the bed pulling up the covers as she thought, "Just gotta get some sleep and before I know it will be time. Just gotta sleep is all... while I'm in the same room as something that could give me the answers I've wanted my whole life... yeah this is going to be a challenge."

As Scootaloo's alarm clock went off she shakily moved her hand over to it and turned it off before rubbing her blood shot eyes as she thought, "Yeah sleeping was... not a thing that happened." She then hopped out of bed as she smacked herself in the face saying, "No time to be tired though. Now's the time to finally see what this thing is," as she gestured towards the Bakugan. She quickly ran into her closet and got dressed before popping the Bakugan into her pocket and preparing to leave her room, as she did though she stumbled and began to feel light headed. She shook it off saying, "Come on girl, now's not the time to pass out, that was last night, now's the time to get answers."

She smacked herself once more to try and wake up before running into the living room as she was greeted to Holiday and Lofty sipping coffee on the couch as Lofty said, "Woah there, what's with the rush kiddo?"

"Oh, I gotta meet up with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle," said Scootaloo.

"This early? But you haven't even had breakfast yet," said Holiday in concern.

"Yeah um... we wanted to compare notes on our summer reading projects. School starts back up again in just a month so we gotta get a jump on it while we can," lied Scootaloo.

"Well OK.. school work is important after all, just let me fix you a box lunch to eat when you get there," said Holiday as she ran into the kitchen.

Scootaloo breathed a sigh of relief as she thought, "I really don't like lieing to them, but I also don't want them to worry about me or try and stop me from doing this."

That sigh was cut off though as Lofty said, "So a school assignment."

"Yup," said Scootaloo as she put on her most convincing innocent smile.

It wasn't very convincing as Lofty looked at her and said, "And I suppose that school assignment is the same reason you snuck out of the house last night."

Instantly Scootaloo began to panic as she tried to figure out what to say, thankfully Lofty saw this panic though as she said, "Don't worry, Holiday was fast asleep and I'm not gonna tell on you."

"Really!?" asked Scootaloo in shock and surprise as Lofty gestured for her to keep her voice down while pointing at the kitchen.

"Well yeah, I mean I used to sneak out to hang out with my friends and stuff when I was your age and I trust you not to get into anything too bad," said Lofty with a smirk.

Scootaloo smiled at that as she said, "Thanks ML."

Before they could expand on this further Holiday entered with a large packed lunch barely contained by the bag as she said, "Make sure you eat well sweetie, you don't want to get distracted and forget."

"Thanks MH, I just hope my new scooter is powerful enough to carry all that," said Scootaloo with a chuckle.

This also elicited a snicker from Lofty as Holiday briefly glared at her before saying, "I suppose it might be a bit much, but you can always share some with your friends."

"Fair point, thanks again," said Scootaloo as she took the lunch bag and gave Holiday a quick hug before making her way towards the door saying, "I'll see you later."

"Be careful sweetie, and good luck with your homework," said Holiday, only to have no response as Scootaloo had already rushed out the door.

Holiday sighed as she sat down as Lofty chuckled saying, "How many times are you gonna keep doing that when she leaves?"

"Probably as many times as she does leave," said Holiday in thought.

As Scootaloo arrived at Sweet Apple Acres and began making her way towards the club house she found herself gripping the pocket containing the Bakugan as she resisted the urge to pull it out and look it over herself thinking, "Come on girl, you're almost there."

She soon found she was even closer then she thought as Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle where standing in front of the club house rather then being inside it proper.

Scootaloo approached with some confusion asking, "Hey girls, what are we doing at here?"

"Well we don't have the faintest clue of what that thing can do and there's no way we're letting it wreck the club house," said Apple Bloom.

"Even if we still don't have a name for it yet," added Sweetie Belle.

"Oh, that makes sense. Thanks again girls but if I'm being honest I'm not sure if we're even gonna crack this thing at all today," said Scootaloo as she pulled the Bakugan from her pocket and began inspecting it. That inspection was quickly interrupted as she noticed a faint blue glow from the corner of her eye. As she turned to look at it further she was awestruck as the ground seemed to be covered in a hexagonal blue grid with several solid colored hexagons interspersed throughout it. As Scootaloo stared at the strange yet oddly beautiful sight she lost her grip on the Bakugan causing it to fall to the ground and at the same time all the lights seemed to go away.

Scootaloo turned back to her friends asking, "Did you all just see that!?"

"Um... see what?" asked Sweetie Belle in confusion.

"All I saw was you zoning out and staring off into space... did you get enough sleep last night?" asked Apple Bloom.

"Well... not really," admitted Scootaloo embarrassed before she said, "But I swear I saw something, but it disappeared as soon as I..." Scootaloo then trailed off as she realized what happened. She slowly reached down and picked up the Bakugan as she was once again greeted to the sight of the blue grid and smiled wide at this discovery.

Meanwhile her friends just looked at her grinning like a fool and staring off at the horizon as Sweetie Belle whispered, "Is she OK?"

"She probably didn't get any sleep last night," said Apple Bloom.

The two paused for a moment before Sweetie Belle said, "I'm gonna check on her." She made her way over to Scootaloo as she began saying, "Hey are you OK?" before placing her hand on her shoulder. Once she did though she was instantly startled by the blue grid that appeared before her, causing her to take her hand off Scootaloo and make it disappear from her view.

At this point Scootaloo turned to her and she finally noticed that Scootaloo's eyes had a faint blue glow as she smiled saying, "You saw it too didn't you?"

"Ye-yeah," said Sweetie Belle shakily.

"Saw what!?" griped Apple Bloom as she began to feel annoyed by being left out of whatever this is, to which Scootaloo was happy to rectify as she quickly put one arm around Sweetie and moved the two of them over to Bloom where she put her other arm around her.

As the three of them now took in the sight before them Apple Bloom simple said, "Oh... see this."

"Wha-what is all this?" asked Sweetie as she looked in awe.

"No idea," said Scootaloo as she was just as mesmerized looking over it.

"Well why didn't you see it before when you picked up that thing last night?" asked Apple Bloom.

"Not sure of that either maybe it's..." began Scootaloo but she trailed off as she caught sight of a solid blue hexagon roughly four yards in front of her. As she stared into it the her eyes turned from the blue it had become before back to it's natural purple color only they continued to glow.

The others looked towards their friend concerned, not even bothering to think about how they couldn't see the grid anymore, as Sweetie asked, "Um Scoot... are you sure you're OK?"

Scootaloo didn't seem to hear it though, in fact she couldn't hear anything as something deep inside her had risen up to the surface. Without even realizing what she was doing Scootaloo raised her Bakugan into the air saying, "DROME UP!"

Suddenly a bubble of pure energy seemed to form around her Bakugan before expanding outward as Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle where pushed back with it. The bubble fully expanded to form a 20 yard dome around Scootaloo with her friends just outside it. "WHAT THE HEY!" called out Apple Bloom as she kicked her foot against the dome only to have it bunch off harmlessly.

Meanwhile Sweetie banged on it with her fist saying, "Um Scootaloo, I don't know what you're doing but you need to snap out of this!"

This didn't accomplish anything as the two could only watch as Scootaloo now pulled her arm back before rocketing it forward as she released the Bakugan saying, "BAKUGAN BRAWL!" As it sailed through the air it soon came to a stop atop the blue hexagon as Scootaloo yelled, "BAKUGAN STAND!"

If Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle weren't concerned for their friends safety before they certainly where now as what they saw was beyond comprehension. Somehow the ball opened up before it began to expand and glow until what stood in it's place was a large five headed dragon.

"SCOOTS GET OUT OF THERE!" yelled the pair in terror and whether it be from these pleas or simply because her task was done, Scootaloo finally snapped back to reality as she saw the creature looking back at her.

Fear should have been the response she felt, she knew this but instead she felt an odd calm as she looked at her Bakugan as if this was something she'd done before.

The dragon looked down at her and humphed a breath from it's center head before saying, "So you're the one who's awakened me... well you don't look like much human."

Scootaloo barely felt the slight insult as she simply looked at the creature in astonishment saying, "Who- who are you, and where did you come from?"

"My name is Hydranoid as for where I came from I do not remember," said Hydranoid as he let out a sigh as he seemed to be disappointed by what he just said.

Scootaloo chuckled at that as she said, "Welcome to the club pal."

Hydranoid despite not fully understand what she meant let out a chuckle of his own as he said, "Well I suppose you'll make a decent partner human... you'll at least be better then the ones over there could be."

Scootaloo turned towards her friends and saw them staring mouth agape as she gave them a brief thumbs up to try and calm their worries before turning back to Hydranoid as she asked, "Wait, what do you mean by partner?"

"Well I suppose user might be better word, as in you use me for whatever little things you do to entertain yourself and in exchange I use you to unleash my power in Bakugan Battles," said Hydranoid as he sighed in annoyance as if this should be self explanatory.

"Wait... what do you mean by Bakugan Battles... does that mean there's more of you?" asked Scootaloo.

As if to answer they where suddenly greeted by a large red knight looking Bakugan crashing through several trees and falling on it's back.

"I believe that answers your question," said Hydranoid before looking around saying, "I wonder if that Cyndeous found a stronger user."

Scootaloo was about to comment on that before letting ouy a groan as she saw who was approaching the downed Bakugan.

"Come on Cyndeous, get back up and do the sword thing again," said Snails as he looked at the creature.

"But mater Snails, my Flame Cutter didn't work before and I doubt it will now in my weakened state," said Cyndeous as he struggled to get up.

"BUT IT LOOKS SO COOL THOUGH!" complained Snails.

"OK I think even you can tell that I'm gonna be a better partner or 'user' as you want to say then him," said Scootaloo with a smug smile.

Hydranoid breathed a sigh of annoyance as he said, "I certainly hope so, all though who ever damaged Cyndeous to this degree is surely a capable user."

Once again the universe seemed to answer as a large white alicorn Bakugan flew forward as another familiar face followed behind it saying, "Alright, hit it again with that Haos beam thing Pegatrix!"

"But... he's still down, that wouldn't really be a very elegant method of combat," said Pegatrix as she looked at Cyndeous in concern.

"So what, all that matters is that we win!" shouted Snips as he glared at Snails saying, "No way you're gonna beat me at this new game Snails!"

"They think battling is just a game!" shouted Hydranoid in anger as he looked over at the two and how they where mistreating their Bakugan.

Scootaloo agreed as despite not knowing much about all this she still knew that these where living creatures who deserved respect as she looked over and said, "Well what do you say we teach them a lesson then?"

"Very well human, if you think you can beat them as while they are certainly unskilled this will still be a two on one battle and while I am certainly strong enough for it... I unfortunately need you to use that strength," said Scootaloo.

"Oh don't worry, I have some strength of my own to help out with this," said Scootaloo as she looked over at the two in determination before adding, "Oh by the way, the name's Scootaloo."

Big Brawl

As Hydranoid and Scootaloo began running towards the pair and their Bakugan, the noise soon got their attention.

Snips turned his attention away from the rivalry as he he absent mindedly waved to her and yelled out, "OH HEY SCOOTALOO! SO YOU GOT ONE OF THESE COOL BALL MONSTER THINGS TOO?"

As Scootaloo soon arrived in front of them she said, "The're called Bakugan, and how did you two get a hold of them?" as she mentally groaned at the prospect that since this wasn't a unique thing to her then perhaps it didn't have to do with her past afterall.

She didn't have time to dwell on those thoughts though as Snails quickly answered, "I found mine in the bushes while I was chasing a squirrel."

"Why where you chasing a squirrel?" asked Scootaloo confused.

Snails simply shrugged as he said, "Well how else am I supposed to find where they hide their nuts."

Scootaloo thought about asking follow up questions but decided to keep that part of her sanity intact as she looked over to Snips and asked, "What about you?"

"I was looking for spare change under a vending machine when I found mine," said Snips with a shrug.

"Hmm, neither one are particular grandiose about all this," said Scootaloo with a groan at how matter of fact their answers where.

Meanwhile Hydranoid simple stared at the pair in anger before saying, "YOU FOOLS HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PROPERLY BATTLE!"

At this the two turned to him as Snails said, "Well that isn't very nice."

"Yeah Scoots, your toy is being very rude!" said Snips.

"TOY!" cried Hydranoid as he let out a hiss in utter rage.

"Wait... you seriously think that..." asked Scootaloo in befuddlement before she continued saying, "These aren't toys, the're living breathing creatures."

Snips and Snails looked at her for a moment before bursting out luaghing as Snails said, "Good one Scoots."

"Yeah, I mean who ever heard of an animal that could turn into a small plastic ball," said Snips as he continued to laugh.

Hydranoid simple groaned at this before turning his attention to the other Bakugan as he asked, "Why are you with these idiots?"

"Well... they where the ones who awoke us, and so it's only fair we be their partners," said Pegatrix.

"Indeed, a true warrior is always sure to repay his debts," added Cyndeous.

Before anyone could comment on this further they heard a shoot from the side saying, "THAT'S TOTALLY UNFAIR!"

They all looked to see that Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle had moved to the edge of the drome nearest them as Sweetie Belle cried out, "Just because the're the ones who found you doesn't mean you have to blindly follow them."

"Trust me, I know all about standing by your word and paying your debts to people, but if someones asking you to do stuff you aren't comfortable with, then that is not a fair payment," said Apple Bloom.

Pegatrix and Cyndeous perked up at this and appeared as though they where about to say something, but they where quickly interrupted as Snails spoke up saying, "HEY! What gives you the right to say how we should use our toys?"

"Yeah, it's not our fault they where programmed to say all these dorky non fighting phrases," said Snips.

"ENOUGH!" shouted Hydranoid getting everyone's attention. "Let's settle this the way everything should be settled, with a battle."

"Ye-yeah," added Scootaloo as she was catching onto the situation. "And if we win you have to give us your Bakugan!"

"Fine by me, but only if you give us yours when we win," said Snails with a cocky grin.

Scootaloo looked at Hydranoid saying, "What do you say?"

Hydranoid paused before saying, "If you can't beat these idiots you're not fit to be my user anyway... bet what you want human, but know that I don't plan on losing this fight."

She shied saying, "I don't either and again the names Scootaloo." She then turned to the others saying, "You guys are on, but don't think we're going go down without a fight!"

"Eh whatever, it's two against one," said Snips before turning back to Snails saying, "Ready to blow more stuff up buddy."

"You know it!" said Snails as he then turned to Pegatrix saying, "Alright, time for another Haos Beam!"

"Yeah, and Cyndeous do the Flame Cutter thing!" said Snips.

"But... both at once," asked Pegatrix.

"That's not very," started Cyndeous before being interrupted as Snips and Snails simple yelled out, "DO IT!"

The two looked at each other before reluctantly powering up their attacks towards Hydraniod, who simple braced himself as a smirk formed on all of his heads.

Meanwhile at Hayburger.

As Rarity fiddled with her small order of fries she let a sigh saying, "All those hours of interviewing those scientists boiled down to what any idiot could tell you, that they have theories but still don't know for sure what happened."

"Eh I thought some of those theories where pretty interesting," said Mirco Chips as he double checked that his camera bag was totally zipped up before digging into his messy ham burger.

"I'm sure they where, and when we get back to the studio you can put a summary on the stations website, but I just want that big story you know," said Rarity.

Mircro Chips rolled his eyes saying, "Here we go again with the 'big story'," before biting into the burger.

"Think of it Micro, if we can get in on the ground floor of something and share it with the world, then we could become an international team traveling to exciting places all over the world," said Rarity as she became stary eyed at the thought.

Micro Chips whipped the ketchup from his mouth before saying, "I agree it's a nice dream, but how are we gonna find a story like that, especially in a sleepy little town like Canterlot."

Rarity opened her mouth to respond, but was interrupted as the table was suddenly rattled by an explosion in the distance. The two of them turned towards it only to have their jaws dropped as they saw a large multi headed dragon jump into the air as a beam of white light and a pillar of flame sailed below it before it fell back to the ground and was once again obscured by the trees.

Rarity was the first to regain her composer as she smirked saying, "Quick, get the van ready! I think that story just found us."

Hydranoid landed back on the ground as Scootaloo said, "Nice dodge."

"It was no trouble, but if you really want me to think you're worthy of being my user you're going to have to pitch in," said Hydranoid.

"Ri-right," said Scootaloo as she looked around for what to do.

"Well if you're gonna do something Scoots, you better do it quick," said Sweetie Belle as she pointed to several Apple trees that where knocked over by the blasts.

"HEY! YOU GUYS QUIT MESSING UP OUR ORCHARD!" yelled out Apple Bloom to no avail as the two simple called out for their Bakugan to attack again.

As Scootaloo looked around she caught sight of another blue hexagon as her eyes began to glow again. Without even thinking she ran towards it paying no heed to the blasts now charging in front of her.

"WAIT SCOOTS NO!" called out Sweetie Belle.

"Yeah, the orchard aint worth risking yourself!" said Apple Bloom.

Scootaloo didn't seem to hear them as she simple ducked her head down as the attacks sailed above her and Hydranoid once again dodged it saying, "Hmm, that was a pretty good dodge yourself."

As the two watched their friend continue running they where suddenly greeted by a van pulling up as Micro Chips quickly exited with his camera pointed at the Bakugan. Rarity got out soon after, microphone ready as she began saying, "We're here live at Sweet Apple Acres where there appears to be some kind of monster battle going on inside a clear dome and.. SWEETIE BELLE!" Her professionalism as a reporter swiftly went out the window as she ran over to her sister saying, "What on Earth are you doing here!? What is going on?"

Micro Chips quickly pointed his camera towards the two as they began speaking.

"It's Scootaloo, she found this Bakugan thing last night," said Sweetie Belle.

"And Snips and Snails had them too, but they where being mean to them," said Apple Bloom.

"So she them challenged to a fight, but now... I don't know what she's doing," said Sweetie Belle as she gestured toward the still running Scootaloo.

Micro Chips pointed the camera towards her as she finally reached the blue hexagon before lifting it up and throwing it towards Hydranoid. The hexagon seemed to phase into his body as it began to glow and opened all five of his mouths yelling out, "VENOM VAPOR!" before a stream of pure water shot out of each mouth and engulfed Pegatrix and Cyndeous as the two fell back in pain before reverting to ball form.

As soon as they did the dome seemed to crack apart as suddenly all the destroyed trees seemed to restore themselves. "What the hay is going on?"

"All damage done within a drome is undone as soon as the battle ends," said a now small Hydraniod as he sat on the shoulder of an approaching Scootaloo. He then looked towards her as he said, "Speaking of the battle, you did well. Throwing me that Bakucore to increase my power at just the right moment was a great call."

Scootaloo smiled as she said, "Thanks, though I still don't understand how I knew how to do that... or how I know how to do any of this."

Hydranoid chuckled at this as he said, "Well regardless of how you do it, you certainly seem to be a capable... partner Scootaloo."

Her smile grew wider at this bit of praise from her new friend and possible mentor, given how he seemed to be slowly teaching her about this stuff.

As Snips and Snails watched this display Snips leaned over and whispered, "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Get out of here before they notice the trees we smashed over there that weren't fixed because they where outside the drome thing," said Snails.

"Yup," said Snips as the two took off unnoticed while the others talked.

What they did notice though was a voice calling out, "Excuse me!"

The assembled crowd turned to see the now small Pegatrix and Cyndeous as Pegatrix said, "Thank you for saving us from those two... less then stellar partners."

"Indeed, those two lacked much in honor and you seem like you'll be a much better partner," said Cyndeous before the two jumped up as Scootaloo quickly reached out her hands and caught them both.

"Whoa there, I'm flattered but I have other partners in mind for you two," said Scootaloo as she began approaching Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom.

"Wait us!?" said Sweetie Belle.

"Yeah Scoots... are you sure we're up to this?" asked Apple Bloom.

"Well sure, we're a team after all and... I'm not sure anymore if this is connected to where I came from or not, but I do know that whatever this is I want you two by my side, and I'm sure these guys would appreciate it too," said Scootaloo as she held up the Bakugan.

The two looked cautious before Sweetie Belle picked up Pegatrix saying, "Well I'm not sure how good I'll be at battling, but I could at least help this little lady get the dirt off her armor. Someone as pretty as you deserves to look their best."

"Finally, someone who appreciates my elegance," said Pegatrix excitedly.

Apple Bloom then grabbed onto Cyndeous saying, "Shoot, I'm not sure about my battle prowess either, but I respect what you said about honor."

"As do I respect what you said about ones debt not being cause to do anything for someone, it shall be an honor to be your partner lady Apple Bloom," said Cyndeous.

As the three pairs of Bakugan and partners simple smiled and took this in for a moment Rarity regained her composer saying, "So you three seem to know about how to work with these Bakugan creatures and what not to do with them."

Scootaloo looked towards the camera as suddenly an idea stuck her as she said, "Of course after all, we're... the Canterlot Bakugan Brawlers!"

"Awesome name!" whispered Sweetie and Bloom behind her.

Meanwhile a young woman sat atop a sky scraper looking at her phone. She wore a large red over coat that almost bellowed behind like a cape, with yellow trim and fur around her neck. Oddly enough though the coat seemed to only have one sleeve as the other fully exposed her orange upper arm as well as a strange metal device that covered her left fore arm and hand. She then used said metal covered hand to grab a drink and move it towards her mouth, careful to avoid the oddest choice of outfit she had. She wore some sort of red mask over half her face with a yellow lense over her left eye. The mask had a part that flowed down her cheek as if it was a part of it, as well as a brim that prevented her long red and yellow hair from covering the lensed eye.

As the woman took a ship of her drink she watched the news cast before her and chuckled saying, "The 'Canterlot Bakugan Brawlers' ay... what do you think Drago?"

A small red dragon Bakugan floated next to her saying, "Probably nothing."

"Agreed... but we should still report it to the mistress to be safe," said the woman as she pushed a button her mask and said, "It's Sunset... I got an update about on a couple of young brawlers out in the sticks, better send someone to look into it."

Battle Aftermath

"Well Canterlot, it looks like our fair city has received quite the new the development, but with these little protectors around I'm confident that these Bakugan creatures will soon become welcome members of our town, this is Rarity Belle signing off," said Rarity as she gave a smile to the camera.

"And... we're clear," said Micro Chips as he lowered the camera.

Rarity then began hopping in excitement as she said, "YES YES YES!! I finally got that big story I've been looking for my whole career!" She then scooped up the three girls and their Bakugan into a large hug as she said, "OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU GIRL!"

The three struggled against the hug as Scootaloo said, "N-no problem."

"J-just doing what we do best," said Hydranoid as apparently he also had trouble breathing under this pressure.

Sweetie was used to this as she barely felt the hug saying, "Gee, I'm honestly surprised you're not mad we where in danger."

Rarity suddenly blinked at that before releasing the hug as she cleared her throat saying, "Yes well... I admit this is certainly not something I expected and yes it was very dangerous."

The three tensed up at hearing this before Rarity raised her finger saying, "However... these Bakugan creatures seem friendly enough and the way you interact with them seems to be a good example for others, which if there really more of them out there we certainly need, so... I'm not going to put a stop to any of this."

"Really!?" asked Sweetie excitedly.

"Well of course darling, after all my career field isn't actually the safest either," said Rarity before looking over at Apple Bloom and Scootaloo as she said, "Though of course I can't speak your families."

As if on cue Scootaloo's fan buzzed as she quickly looked at it and saw a simple text from Holiday that said, "ARE YOU OK!? GET HOME NOW!!"

Rarity sighed as she said, "I'll take you home," she then looked over to Apple Bloom as she said, "You should probable go find Applejack, she may not have seen the newscast since I'm sure she's working in the barn or something but you still need to tell her about all this and let the pieces fall where they may."

Apple Bloom simply nodded as Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle followed towards the news van and got in.

The ride should have taken a long time, between just the sheer distance and the amount of traffic around it should have been one of the longest trips home she'd ever had, but from the simple fact she was dreading getting home it felt like it only took a second.

As Scootaloo walked up the driveway and opened the door she instantly found herself wrapped up in a hug as Holiday called out, "Are you alright!? What on Earth where you doing!?"

Scootaloo pushed herself out of it as she said, "I'm fine, and well.. I was just battling with this guy."

Hydranoid unfolded in Scootaloo's hand and looked at the two before him saying, "Greetings."

"What the heck is that thing!?" asked Holiday as she backed behind Lofty in fear.

Hydranoid scowled at that as he said, "I am not a THING!"

"Easy buddy," said Scootaloo as she nervously tried to calm him down. "Mom Holiday, Mom Lofty I'd like you both to meet my new friend Hydranoid."

Hydranoid grumbled a bit before saying, "It's nice to meet you both," with a forced smiles on his faces.

Holiday continued to cower from the small creature as Lofty decided to speak up saying, "So um... how did you two meet?"

Scootaloo sighed as she looked down saying, "I found him last night, when I snuck out to Pinpoint Park."

"You what!?" said Holiday as she moved from out of her hiding spot in concern.

"Geeze kid, that's where you went," said Lofty.

Holiday then turned to her saying, "You knew about this!?"

"Well I mean.. I knew she snuck out I just figured it was to do some dangerous scooter stunts or maybe she was dating someone," said Lofty nervously.

"And you didn't feel the need to tell me about this!?" said Holiday as her concern turned towards anger.

"Well I-," stammered Lofty not sure what to say.

Holiday humphed before turning to Scootaloo and saying, "Why don't you and Hydranoid go to your room for now while we talk about this."

"Oh-ok," stammered Scootaloo as she walked away nervously.

Once they heard the door shut Holiday turned to Lofty saying, "So what else do you know about that you haven't told me?"

"Well certainly not anything about this!" said Lofty as she plopped on the couch exasperated.

Holiday pouted at that saying, "No, you just knew she was sneaking out and doing something!"

Lofty sighed at that as she said, "What do you want from me, I was doing that kind of stuff when I was her age."

"Yes, but I wasn't," said Holiday with a tone of superiority.

"Yeah I know, you where little miss perfect doing her homework on time, always being home before dark, and volunteering at the school nurses office where you met a dumb girl who hurt herself after 'borrowing' her brothers motorcycle," said Lofty.

"Ye-" began Holiday as she stopped before saying, "I suppose that's true," before joining her wife on the couch.

"Look, some kids need to get that rebellious stuff out of their systems before they can really grow up," said Lofty.

Holiday chuckled as she said, "Are you sure you're that grown up?"

Lofty grimaced at that as she said, "Never the less, I think I've proved my point about good things coming out of youthful rebellion."

"I suppose you have," said Holiday as she smiled for a moment before saying, "But this isn't youthful rebellion, this is monster fighting... which I can not believe is a sentence I have to say!"

"Yeah... this is a whole other can of worms," said Lofty as she slumped down in thought.

"So what should we do then?" asked Holiday.

"It's a tough call, I mean yes this definitely seems dangerous, but you saw how much her face lit up in the news cast and how happy she was this morning," said Lofty.

"I know, plus she found this 'Hydranoid' in Pinpoint Park.. after all these years she may have actually found something that can lead to what she's wanted her whole life and I'm not sure if we have the right to take that away from her," said Holiday.

Lofty sighed as she put her feet up on the table saying, "Yeah, that makes it extra tough. Because if we do take this away from her as much as we tell ourselves it's for her safety, in the back of our minds we'll know that we might have done it so she doesn't find out where she came from and go back there."

Holiday nervously rubbed her head saying, "I always knew this day would come... I just didn't imagine it would be anything like this!"

As Scootaloo sat up in her bed she simple looked over at Hydranoid as she said, "You know you can go if you want."

"What?" asked Hydranoid confused.

"I'm not sure if they'll let you stick around here anyway, and even if they do I sincerely doubt they'll let me battle with you... so you might just want to go and find a new user," said Scootaloo as she hugged her legs sadly.

Hydranoid simple looked at her as he thought, "That would be the best thing to do, after all battling is my main concern...but" as he stared at Scootaloo he swore he saw a flash of something, he couldn't tell what it was but it felt like something he couldn't quite remember was tickling the sides of his mind. "I don't think I can do that," said Hydranoid.

"Why not?" asked Scootaloo.

Hydranoid slowly approached and hopped atop her shoulder saying, "Because while I'm sure I can find another fine user... I wouldn't be able to find a partner like you."

Scootaloo smiled at that and prepared to say something, before hearing a knock at her door as she said, "Come in."

Her moms soon entered as Holiday spoke up saying, "We've thought about this as much as we can and... I'm sorry sweetie but we just don't have an answer for you yet."

"We called Rarity and Applejack and they should be over tomorrow to help us all figure this stuff out," said Lofty as she scratched her head.

"For now... Hydranoid, I need to know that my daughters safety is as important to you as it is to me," said Holiday as she bent down to look him in the eyes.

He thought on this for a moment before saying, "I promise you that I will use all the power at my disposal to keep her safe, no matter what you decide."

Holiday nodded as she said, "OK... if that's the case then you two can at least stay together.... just promise me no more of this battling stuff until we've figured it all out."

"I promise," said Scootaloo as let out a slight smile at all this.

"Well then... I know it's kind of early but I think we've all had a long day, we're going to be turning in for now," said Holiday.

"Yeah.. me too," said Scootaloo as she grabbed the covers that was already around her.

"Well... goodnight honey, and we promise to have an answer for you tomorrow," said Holiday as she made her way out.

"See you in the morning kiddo," said Lofty before turning to Hydranoid as she said, "And I still got my eye on you, I don't care what you are if your spending the night in my daughters bedroom you gotta be on your best behavior."

Scootaloo chuckled at that as Hydranoid looked around confused saying, "What does that mean?"

Lofty simple chuckled herself as the two parents left their room leaving Scootaloo and Hydranoid to simple sit on this and rest.

The next morning.

As the bus pulled up to Canterlot Station a young boy who couldn't have been more then fifteen stepped out. Though you wouldn't have known he was so young at fist glance as he wore an expensive black suit and black rimmed glasses that perfectly complemented his purple complexion and spiked green hair. Both complementing the ascetic and making it look out of place the boy also sported a metallic black device on his wrist and a pouch containing a black Bakugan ball on his waist. The boy simple walked away from the bus stop as he moved a black gloved hand to his glasses and pushed a button on the side of them saying, "I have arrived to Canterlot on schedule and am proceeding to the targets house."

A feminine voice eminated into his ears saying, "Excellent work agent Spike. Proceed with the plan, battle the one known as Scootaloo and send the data back to me so I can determine if she is right for the program."

"Yes mistress I..." said Spike before pausing as he caught sight of two girls ahead of him as he began saying, "Mistress, I have caught sight of the two who where with her Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle."

"Hmm," came the reply over his headset. "Well I suppose battling them would be viable as well, at the very least it might lure Scootaloo to you."

"Yes mistress," said Spike as he began to move closer.

"So Applejack is cool with you battling?" asked Sweetie Belle in surprise.

"Yeah... she was a little freaked out at first but as soon she saw how I was doing it to defend my friends she couldn't really say no," said Apple Bloom.

"I hope she and Rarity can convince Scootaloo's parents," said Sweetie as they mopely walked along.

Apple Bloom prepared to reply but was quickly interrupted as they heard a voice from behind them yell, "HEY!"

They turned to see the young boy now holding his Bakugan as the device on his arm began to glow purple as he yelled out, "DROME UP!"
