After the events of the Spring Break trip on a yacht, the Ninjas and Rainbooms take on a new villain that they have never met before. Can they figure out a way to defeat this new threat?

Months before the CHS school year ended, it was on a Thursday morning, Mr. Doodle gave the students their homework.
Mr. Doodle instructed them, “Okay class. I want your homework to be finished by tomorrow because you will have a test,” Everyone groaned including Rarity and Rainbow Dash, except Sci-Twi, “This homework I gave you will also be your study guide. Not only that, you will be working in pairs. So find a partner and get to work.”
Sci-Twi and Rainbow Dash teamed up and got started with their homework. As for Rarity, all the boys and girls were asking her to be her study partner since she’s really popular, but it was too much for her. Then, he spotted a young male teen with black hair and hoodie who was sitting all alone, working on his homework. So, she used her quick ninja skills to get passed them and sat right next to the young lad.
“Hi Amethyst,” She greeted him, “May I interest you being my study partner and help me with my homework please?” She asked, acting like she was in drama class.
The teen replied, “Sure. I’ll help.”
“Excellent, darling.” Rarity said.
The rest of their other classmates sighed and the school bell rang for lunch time. Rainbow Dash and Sci-Twi texted Rarity from their phones to meet her in the library after school. Rarity agreed to them and replied back with a text from her phone. Sci-Twi and Rainbow stood up and left the classroom.
“Will you meet me at the library after school today, darling?” Rarity asked.
Amethyst answered, “Of course I’ll be there, Rarity.”
“Sounds great. Don’t be late, darling. Au revoir.” Rarity said and left to meet with her friends outside.
“I’ll see you later, Rarity.” Amethyst said, and left the classroom to go to the cafeteria.
After school, Amethyst met Rarity in the library and sat down together to get started with their homework. Sci-Twi and Rainbow also came by and sat across from them to work on their homework as well. Minutes later, they were finished with their homework and studying. So, they all left the library and exited the school.
“Thanks for your help, darling.” Rarity said.
Amethyst replied, “Oh, you’re very welcome, Rarity. See you tomorrow.”
“Okay, darling. Bye.” Rarity waved him goodbye.
Amethyst walked straight home on his own while Rarity walked with the rest of her friends.
The next day, Amethyst, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow, and the rest of the students turned their homework to the desk of Mr. Doodle. Once that was settled, Mr. Doodle stood up and gave each and every one of his students their tests.
“You have until by the end of the bell to finish your tests.” Mr. Doodle instructed them and went back to his desk.
Everyone started taking their tests and took their time with it. Minutes later, the school bell rang and everyone in the class finished their test on time and handed their tests over on Mr. Doodle’s desk. After Amethyst put his test on Mr. Doodle’s desk, he saw Rarity going to her locker and walked towards her.
“Hi, Rarity.” He greeted.
Rarity replied, “Oh, hi, uh... Amethyst. Right?”
“Yes, Rarity. I just want to ask you, how well did you do on the test?” Amethyst asked.
She answered, “Oh, I did just fine. I hope I “ace” the test.”
“I’m sure you did fine. We all did. It’s up to the teacher to determine our grades of our test today.” Amethyst encouraged her.
“You’re definitely right about that, darling.” Rarity said.
“Anyway, umm,” He stuttered and blushed, “I got nothing else to do after school. So, I was wondering... if you have the chance... do you want to hang out with me tonight?
Rarity blushed and thought about it. So she answered, “Darling, I would love to, but... I have other things to do after school today. Thanks for the offer, darling.”
“Oh, well umm... okay. I understand.” Amethyst replied.
“I gotta go, darling. My friends are waiting for me at the cafeteria. Au revoir.” She said and walked passed Amethyst to go to the cafeteria with her best friends.
Amethyst felt a bit sad and headed towards the mens bathroom. He went inside, and talked to himself, “It’s fine. I understand that she has other business to attend to,” He put his backpack down and looked into the mirror of his reflection and said, “At some point, I will find a way to repay her after I helped her study. I’m going to do whatever it takes to impress her.”
Then, someone said, “Um, you know I can hear you.”
Amethyst was alarmed and said, “Oh, my apologies. I didn’t know you were in here using the toilet. I’ll just leave right now.”
He washed his hands after that, took his backpack and left the bathroom to head straight towards the cafeteria. With an agenda on his mind, he was determined to repay Rarity. No matter what.
Few months later, just as Amethyst was about to approach Rarity, the students were running towards the main hall, trampled Amethyst and exited the school because it was the last day of school and they all felt happy that it’s time for a summer vacation. As Amethyst got up, the Rainbooms left without a trace. He felt upset and went home all by himself.
Few weeks later, Amethyst bought a bouquet of roses and walked straight ahead. As he kept walking, he saw Rarity talking to her best friends across the street and they were heading towards Sugarcube Corner. Amethyst tried to pick up the pace, but the sign said stop on the crosswalk and a car splashed mud on him along with the bouquet. The Rainbooms paid no attention and Amethyst walked away, feeling more upset.
Another week passed by and Amethyst was at the mall with another bouquet of roses to find Rarity again. Then, he saw Rarity chatting with Applejack along with her best friends. Amethyst spied on them without being seen and he heard that Rarity got a job at Equestria Land. So, he left the mall, waiting for the right opportunity to repay Rarity.
Amethyst arrived at Equestria Land with his bouquet as he tried to find Rarity again. He searched high and low until he found her, but she was with Applejack. They hugged it out and felt completely upset and in shock, assuming that Rarity has some sort of a relationship with her best friend. He dropped the bouquet and walked away without Rarity and Applejack noticing. Minutes later, Amethyst spied on the Rainbooms and saw that they were fighting against a phone monster. Plus, he also saw Casey, April, Shini, Karai, and the Ninja Turtles fighting alongside the Rainbooms.
“Who in the world are they?” Amethyst questioned himself. He retreated and walked away, but he still felt very sad that he’ll never get the chance to ask Rarity out and repay her.
Later as the sun was almost setting, an essence of dark magic suddenly appeared from the shadows of Everfree forest and started roaming around the neighborhood. As the essence continued wondering around, it accidentally bumped into Amethyst on the way home. Amethyst felt a bit weird, but he shook his head and never mind about it. So, he went back to his house to rest.
As the night settled, Amethyst kept thinking and dreaming about what happened at Equestria Land. He witnessed how Rarity looked at Applejack and it made him feel very jealous, and angry. He got up from his bed and tried to think about what he will do next.

Amethyst went to the cave right outside Camp Everfree and started using his magic to gather the materials he need to create something. He motioned his arms and danced while pieces of wood started levitating and swirled around in motion to the center.
Being nice was my pastime

And I won't ever let another person take advantage of me

After he created his staff, he found something glowing inside the cave. So he went inside and found a crystal, glowing neon green as Amethyst started approaching towards the light.
Something's pulling me

The price that I'm willing to pay is expensive

Amethyst grabbed the crystal and placed it on top of staff, activating its wicked power and the dark magic inside him transformed into an evil persona of himself. He wore a long, black jacket and a crown along with armor that resembled King Sombra.

Amethyst teleported himself out of the cave with the Staff of Sacanas and left without a trace.
The next morning, the King of Mean woke up and stretched in his bedroom. He yawned and said, “That was some night I had.” He then looked at his staff right next to him, “Oh yeah. I still gotta find a way to repay my true love back, but her friends are in my way. Because I’m the King of Mean and no one's going to stop me from achieving my goal.”
He thought over it and came up with an idea, “You know what, King of Mean just doesn't sound right to me. From this day forward, I should be known as The Shadow King,” He nodded and liked the sound of his title. “Yeah, I like it. It’ got a nice ring to it. However, I don’t think it’s the right time to repay her now, but what I can do is train and learn how to defend myself.” The Shadow King grabbed the Staff of Sacanas and teleported himself out of his house. Few seconds later, he came back and said, “Oh wait, I need to eat breakfast first.”
After the Shadow King ate his breakfast, he kept teleporting and searching high and low to find a place to train and meditate. Minutes later, he found a lair he was looking for, the old mansion that used to be owned by The Shredder. He looked around the rooms and said, “Well well, looks like no one is using this mansion for quite some time. I should use this as my personal training grounds. Time to get to work.” The Shadow King started training his martial arts that his father taught him and used the Staff of Sacanas as his weapon. Not only that, he also found some old Foot robots and used them as test dummies.
One month later, the Shadow King finished off the rest of the Footbots for his training by using his martial arts. He took time to catch his breath and said, “I am. Reborn.”
Later on during the night, the Shadow King looked around the night skies and the streets in New York. “Now, where would they be hiding?” He asked. But then, he heard some glass shattering coming from a distance. The Shadow King teleported himself to the rooftops and found what he was looking for. The Rainbooms and Ninja Turtles were fighting against Touch and Go along with his boss and the Purple Dragons as they were making a deal of some sort. While the ongoing action continued, the Shadow King watched from the shadows and watched them fight, observing their techniques and powers so he can plan a strategy and find an opportunity to strike them. Minutes later, the fight was over and the heroes won against their enemies and as they were celebrating, the Shadow King teleported from the rooftops and gave Casey a jumping diamond cutter from outta nowhere. They heard Casey screaming in pain and came in to their rescue.
“Hey! What did you do to our friend?!” Raph yelled as the rest of The Rainbooms and Ninja Turtles protected him while Fluttershy and April helped Casey.
Then, there was a mysterious man in a black cloak spying on them from the rooftops.
Sunset questioned him, “Who are you and...,” Before she said anything else, she saw the staff and recognized it from before, “Wait a minute, why do you have that staff?”
The Shadow King looked at the staff and then glared at Sunset. He replied, “You’ll find out soon enough.”
“Hey wait...” Before Sunset can finish her sentence, the Shadow King teleported himself out of here.
Sunset felt worried, knowing what that staff can do since the yacht trip.
“Let him go, Sunset. We’ll definitely see him again soon and we’ll be ready for him if he tries to pull that stunt again.” Leo said and encouraged her.
Sunset nodded and said, “You’re right. We’ll find out who he is and figure out what he’s planning. Right now, let’s aid our friend.”
Leo nodded and they both helped their friends to aid Casey back into the Turtle Lair, but the man in the black cloak on the rooftops walked away.
The Shadow King looked into the crystal like a crystal ball and saw Sunset and her friends doing their own thing from the comfort of their homes. He strategized his own plan and told himself, “Seems like they’re going to gang up on me at some point. I need to find reinforcements before they get to me.
Then, a human appeared right behind him in its astral form... in the form of King Sombra.
King Sombra told him, “Maybe I can help you with that?”
Shadow King was startled and turned around to see the ghost of King Sombra, “Woah! Who are you?”
King Sombra introduced himself, “Why, I am the great King Sombra. Ruler of the Crystal Empire! Or rather, I used to be. And may I ask, who are you?”
Shadow King answered, “I am the Shadow King. The newest villain in all of Canterlot City.”
“Hey! You can't take my name! That's gimmick infringement!” King Sombra argued.
“Well, you're dead and no one took your name. Alright? So anyway, what happened?” Shadow King asked.
King Sombra explained to him, “Well, I was once a great king. But then, Twilight Sparkle, and her annoying pony friends came in and defeated me, taking my Crystal Empire away from me.”
“Hmm, interesting. Then what?” Shadow King asked again.
King Sombra answered, “That's it. And ever since I was defeated, I've been stuck in this spiritual form.”
“Sorry to hear about that. However, if you said that you were a pony, then why aren’t you a pony now?” Shadow King asked.
King Sombra asked, “What? What do you mean by that?”
“See for yourself.” Shadow King showed the crystal of his staff in front of King Sombra and looked at his human reflection.
King Sombra was astonished by his human appearance and he still wore his armor, cape, and crown.
“Fascinating. And I look dashing.” King Sombra smiled.
“And may I ask: Why are you standing on all fours? You look ridiculous.” Shadow King questioned King Sombra, but also noticed him standing on all fours.
King Sombra scoffed, “It's a pony thing. Alright?” After that, he fixed his composure and stood up on his legs. “Better?”
“Better. Anyway, since you were defeated by those ponies, maybe we can try defeating their counterparts in this dimension.” Shadow King suggested.
“Hmm… I suppose that could take some burden off of my soul.” King Sombra answered.
Shadow King beamed, “Great. Let's start the day by recruiting some new members on our side.”
“Strength in numbers? Not a bad idea. But who should we recruit first?” King Sombra said.
Shadow King informed him, “I have a few ideas in my mind.”
King Sombra grew a wicked smile on his face, “I'm listening.”
Meanwhile, King Sombra and Shadow King teleported to the junkyard where the Diamond Dogs hang around.
King Sombra whispered from the crystal, “What is this place?”
“This place right here is a junkyard,” Shadow King answered.
King Sombra asked, “And what do you intend to find here?”
“You’ll see,” Shadow King answered as he entered the junkyard and found the Diamond Dogs, hanging around and being lazy like they always do.
“Seriously?” King Sombra frowned, unimpressed by the trio.
Shadow King whispered, “Just watch. Now be quiet and get inside the staff.”
“Hmph. As you wish.” King Sombra answered as he went back inside the crystal.
Shadow King cleared his throat and approached the trio, “Gentlemen. It’s nice to see that you’re the same guys as always.”
The Diamond Dogs looked at the uninvited visitor, perplexed by his appearance.
Rover asked, “Umm, who are you?”
“Oh, where are my manners. My name is the Shadow King.” He introduced himself to the Diamond Dogs.
“Shadow King?” Spot asked.
Fido added, “What kind of a name is that?”
“I see that you got questions that you want me to ask. Well, I ain’t got no time for that you poodles.” Shadow King announced.
Rover shouted, “And just who do you think you are to come to our turf without asking permission and berate us?!”
Shadow King sighed, “I was hoping you might say that.” The Shadow King then used his staff to levitate the Diamond Dogs, pinning them against a car by its dark magic.
Rover struggled, “Hey!”
Spot struggled, “What the…?!”
“I don't like where this is going.” Spot feared.
“Do I have your attention now?” Shadow King questioned them.
The Diamond Dogs nodded, with fear in their eyes.
Shadow King said, “Good. Now, the reason why I came here is because I need your assistance.”
“With what?” Rover asked.
“Taking over the world, of course. What am I to you? Stupid?” Shadow King said.
Fido whispered, “Does he want an honest answer?”
“I don’t know.” Spot whispered back.
“Maybe we should just go along with this, until we think of a way out.” Rover suggested.
Spot whispered, “Agreed.”
Rover cleared his throat and answered to the Shadow King, “Why do you want our help?”
Shadow King answered, “Because I need people who are unpredictable. And our enemies won't expect you guys and they never fought against you before.”
“Then you've come to the right bunch.” Rover answered.
‘Huh. Well, that was an easy than I expected.’ Shadow King thought to himself
Rover asked, “So, who are you behind that crown?”
Shadow King chuckled, “You don’t remember, do you?”
The Diamond Dogs shake their heads, meaning "no".
“C'mon guys, use that big brain of yours to think really hard.”
The Diamond Dogs observed their adversary as Spot said, “You do seem familiar.”
“Really?” Shadow King asked.
Fido noticed, “I think I've seen those eyes before.”
Shadow King scoffed, “Pfft. What else is new anyway.”
“Hey. Aren't you the guy that we first picked on during Freshmen Year?”
Shadow King gasped until he lied, “Never heard of it.”
“No. It is you. I recognize you now. You're Amethyst Majesty.”
Shadow King laughed, “That's great and all. Unfortunately, he’s dead. Now I’m in control.”
Spot said, “But…”
Fido continued, “I'm confused.”
“This is the new "me". This is who I am now. You can now call me, the “Shadow King.”
Rover whispered to his boys, “What has gotten into him?”
Spot whispered back, “No idea. But he seems to mean business.”
“So, do we have ourselves a deal?” Shadow King offered his hand to Rover and his buds.
Rover shook his hand, “Sure thing,” Then Rover whispered to himself, ‘For now.’
After the Shadow King each of the boys’ hands, he informed them, “Good. Now it's time that I give you guys some upgrades.” The Shadow King used his scepter to transform the Diamond Dogs into demons, just like Snips and Snails used to be.
Fido checked out his demonic self, “Whoa! Look at me!”
Spot beamed, “Look at us, we're mean. Sweet!”
“And we are badder than ever, baby!” Rover cheered.
“Now, bow before your master.” The Shadow King ordered the trio.
“Yes, master!” The Diamond Dogs knelt and bowed down to their master.
“Excellent! Looks like we’re making progress here.” Shadow King laughed sinisterly.
King Sombra appeared from the crystal and asked, “So, are you done recruiting your team yet?”
Shadow King replied, “Not yet. In the meantime, I got something to take care of. So go back in your crystal now and wait for further instructions.”
“Okay, okay. Sheesh.” King Sombra said and returned to the crystal as the Diamond Dogs and the Shadow King teleported themselves out of the junkyard.
Meanwhile, Applejack was busy working and carrying baskets full of apples at the Apple Family Barn.
Applejack wiped the sweat off her forehead, “Whoa. Ah got my work laid out for me today.”
Then, the villainous faction magically appeared outside of her home and was ready to approach the premises as Winona started barking.
“Insolent pest.” Shadow King said as he shot a magical beam from his scepter and fired it on the ground, making Winona scared and started running away from him.
Winona ran to Applejack at the backyard, shaking like a scared little puppy.
Applejack hugged Winona to calm her down and said, “Whoa, whoa. There, there, girl. What's got ya so spooked?”
As the Diamond Dogs scared all the barn animals away, Applejack saw them running past her, in fear. “What the heck is goin' on?!”
“Howdy, waifu stealer!”
Applejack turned around to see the Shadow King and his minions. “What?! Who in tarnation are you?!”
“Don’t you recognize me, AJ?” Shadow King asked.
“How do ya know…?!” Applejack got a look at the Shadow King until he recognized him, “Wait a minute… Amethyst?!”
“That guy's dead. You will now address me as, the "Shadow King".” Shadow King said.
Applejack asked, “What has gotten into ya?! Are ya feeling alright, Amethyst?”
Shadow King smiled, “I never felt better in my entire life now!”
Applejack felt worried, “Are ya sure, buddy? And where did ya get that staff?”
“I'm sure you and your friends remembered this staff before.” Shadow King said.
The cowgirl observed the staff until she remembered it and gasped, “No! It can't be!”
“It is. You remember that cruise when you and your friends had to deal with a storm during your Spring Break?”
Applejack answered, “Far too well. But that thing was locked away, wasn't it? How did ya get a hold of it?”
Shadow King answered, “A villain never reveals its secrets to anyone.”
Applejack begged him, “Amethyst, ya need to let go of that staff. It's dangerous.”
“I WANT IT... To be dangerous! Boys, create a barrier around this area at once.”
“Yes, boss.” The Diamond Dogs answered as they flew away to create a magical barrier surrounding the Apple Family Barn.
“Amethyst, snap out of it! This isn't you!”
“Oh, this is me now. The old me was puny and weak. And look at me now, I am more stronger, smarter, and powerful than your magical powers.” Shadow King stated.
“But it's also corrupting you. Ah know the real you, and this is not who ya are, deep inside.”
Shadow King said, “This is who I am now, AJ. And what I’m about to do to you, will not save you.”
Applejack reasoned with him again, “Amethyst, please. Ya have to control yerself. Ah don't wanna fight ya. You're my classmate. My friend.”
“I don’t think you have a choice, AJ.” Shadow King said as he fired a magical blast from his staff at the cowgirl.
Applejack dodged it and shouted, “Why are ya doing this?!”
“Because you stole something from me!”
Applejack replied, “What?! Ah would never steal anything from anyone!”
“LIES!” Shadow King yelled and fired a strong, magical bolt from his staff, destroying AJ’s truck.
Applejack gasped, “Amethyst, stop! Ya don't know what yer doin'!”
“I know what I’m doing, AJ. And I’ll start by taking you down first!” Shadow King shot a magical bolt from his scepter, targeting Applejack.
Applejack jumped out of the line of fire, and ponied up, “Amethyst, stop this, before ya hurt someone!”
“I don’t care.” Shadow King angrily replied and shot another bolt at her.
Applejack dodged the bolt and said, “Look, Ah don't know why yer doing this, but ya need to stop!”
“Stop? I won’t stop until I get what I want. If you really want to stop me, take your best shot.” Shadow King motioned his hand, taunting the cowgirl.
“Ah really don't wanna do this. But if it's the only way to calm ya down… Then, here Ah go! Applejack vowed, charging right at him.
The Shadow King dodged the cowgirl and swept her legs.
Applejack fell down, “Oof.”
The Shadow King spoke in a country accent, “Ah knew you were gonna do that.” He then used his palm strikes, but the cowgirl blocked his attack.
Applejack dodged the attacks, “Look, Ah don't know why you are so mad at me. But, please, stop!”
“Do you want to know why, AJ?!”
Applejack replied, “It would help.”
Shadow King explained, “I’ll tell you why. You stole Rarity away from me so that you can have this secret, romantic relationship with her.”
“WHAT?!!! Y-Y-Y-Y-You've got it all wrong. We're just best friends. Ah know it.”
“LIES!!!” Shadow King shot another bolt from his scepter, but the cowgirl dodged it again.
Applejack suggested to herself, “Ah gotta call Sunset and the others.”
As the cowgirl pulled out her phone, Spot swooped in, stole her phone, and crushed it with his hands. Applejack gasped, as Spot dropped the remains of her phone.
“No interruptions. No distractions. No help. It's just you and me, cowgirl! You got nowhere left to run.”
Applejack pleaded her former friend, “Amethyst, please, listen to me! There's nothin' between me and Rarity.”
“Oh really?! Because I saw you the way you're looking at Rarity back at Equestria Land. I was going to give her roses to thank Rarity and probably ask her out, but I was too late. And my heart was shattered. So now, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! Hiyah!” Shadow King continued striking her with more of his punches and kicks while Applejack protected herself against his blows
While they continued to fight, Apple Bloom was watching them from the house, picked up her phone and called Rarity.
In Rarity’s house, Rarity picked up the phone and called, “Hello?”
Apple Bloom whispered in her phone, “Ah've got no time to explain, Rarity. Just get you and your friends over here, and hurry!
As Apple Bloom hung up her phone, Rarity called her, “Apple Bloom?!” Rarity hung her phone and told herself, “Hmm. I better get over there, and see what is happening.”
And when Rarity was about to leave her bedroom, a portal appeared behind her all of a sudden and a tentacle grabbed Rarity by the leg, taking her away into the portal and leaving no trace behind.
The Shadow King then got an idea, he used dirty tactics by throwing dirt on her eyes. Applejack was affected by the trick and groaned, “Argh!”
Applejack tried to clean her eyes, but the Shadow King found the opportunity and hit her with every punch and kick while she was defenseless. The cowgirl groaned in pain as she kept getting beat up badly.
“Now, surrender.” Shadow King demanded, drawing his scepter at his enemy.
Applejack growled, “Never!”
“Alright. Guess I’ll have to do this, the hard way.” The Shadow King used his scepter and casted a spell on AJ as she covered her eyes.
In a flash of light, the spell was activated as the Shadow King sinisterly laughed at her. Applejack opened her eyes and got wrinkles on her skin, thus the villain’s spell turned her into an old lady like Granny Smith.
“How do you like me now, you old hag?!” The Shadow King yelled.
“Argh!” The cowgirl tried to clean her eyes, making her defenseless. After that, she felt terrified while looking at her hands. “What have you done?!”
“Oh, by the way, you won’t be needing this anymore.” The Shadow King saw her geode and snatched her geode by the magic of his staff. He retrieved the geode and placed it in his pocket.
“NOOOOOO!!!”
Just then, the Diamond Dogs came by and Rover informed the Shadow King, “Uh, boss. We got company.”
The Shadow King sinisterly chuckled at the elderly cowgirl, “You know, I have a feeling that your friends are on their way to save you. So you know what, I’ll leave now and leave you be. Tell them that this fight is far from over. See ya, sucker!” After that, the Shadow King magically teleported him and his minions out of the barn, leaving no trace of them.
Minutes later, The Turtles, Rainbooms, and the CMC arrived at the farm and they were terrified when they saw the state of the farm, covered in debris. And the farm animals were scared, shivering with fear.
Fluttershy gasped, “Oh, dear!”
While Fluttershy went to take care of the barn animals, Pinkie commented, “This looks like a typhoon has wrecked it.”
Apple Bloom ran out of the house and wondered, “Ah hope my sister's okay.” And when she found Applejack, Apple Bloom screamed in shock, seeing AJ as an elderly woman.
Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo ran to Apple Bloom to check on her. Sweetie Belle asked, “Apple Bloom, what happened?”
Apple Bloom cried, “Some scary villain destroyed our farm and turned my sister into an old woman.”
The rest of the Rainbooms and Ninjas came by and gasped as they saw Applejack.
Sunset checked on her friend as Apple Bloom aided her sister. She told Apple Bloom, “This is some strong magic that was used. But don't worry, Apple Bloom. We will get Applejack back to normal. Somehow.”
Leo asked the cowgirl, “Applejack. Who did this to you?”
Applejack spoke in a dry, country accent, “Amethyst.”
“Uh, who's Amethyst?” Mikey asked.
Applejack coughed before she answered, “Amethyst Majesty is a student at our school.”
Sunset realized who he was and gasped, “He’s the same guy that we encountered last night.”
The cowgirl nodded, “Eeyup.”
“But why would a student from our school would do something like this?” Spike asked.
Applejack answered, “Because he thinks Rarity is in a relationship...” She coughed, “With me.”
"What?! Why would he think something like that?!” Rainbow questioned her.
Ah don’t know, but Ah wish there’s a way to comfort him,” Applejack wondered. “Sadly, Ah’m not sure if hearing those things will snap him out of it.”
Rainbow questioned everyone, “More importantly, where did he get the power to reduce you to an old hag?”
Everyone gasped as April slapped Rainbow on the backside of her head.
“OW!” Rainbow yelped.
April angrily told her, "Rainbow Dash! That’s very rude to say something like that in front of an elder."
Applejack nodded, “A-Hum!”
April apologized, "Sorry. But, you know what I mean."
Rainbow apologized too, “I’m sorry about my choice of words, AJ.”
Applejack forgave her friend, “It’s alright. But still... I can’t believe my friend did this... To me,” She coughed.
Sunset asked her, “Applejack? Is it okay if I look into your memories? It'll be the fastest way to get everything explained.”
“Of course, sugarcube.” Applejack answered as Sunset touched her forehead and looked into her memories to see everything that happened when Amethyst attacked the farm. Sunset also saw Amethyst using the Staff of Sacanas, the same staff that was used by the Storm King.
After that, Sunset released Applejack and informed her, “Amethyst is using the Staff Of Sacanas?”
“Eeyup.” Applejack answered as she tried to stand up, but Sunset caught her as she almost slipped.
“You better take it easy, girl. You're not exactly in any fighting condition.” Sunset informed her.
Twilight asked Sunset, “But… How did he get the staff? I thought that thing was locked away.”
Sunset remembered, “Yeah. We broke the staff and gave it to Princess Celestia for safe keeping back in Equestria after we saved our friends from our Spring Break cruise.”
Donnie suggested, “Maybe he created a new staff that looked like the Staff of Sacanas.”
“Well that seems very obvious, Don.” April noted as Donnie shrugged.
“And he’s got minions of his own. The Diamond Dogs.” Applejack alerted everyone.
The rest of the Rainbooms, CMC, and Spike groaned as their ninja friends got puzzled by their reaction.
“What? You know them?” Raph asked.
“Yeah. They’re the bullies/troublemakers from our school.” Rainbow answered.
Leo noted, “I see.”
“So, what are we going to do now?” Rainbow asked.
Applejack noticed that Rarity was missing and asked everyone, “Well y’all can start by searching for Rarity.”
Everyone looked around and Applejack was correct, Rarity was indeed missing.
“What? Where did she go?” Scootaloo asked, looking around.
“I saw her this morning and now all of a sudden, she disappeared? This doesn’t sound right at all.” Sweetie Belle stated.
Twilight assured Sweetie, “Don’t worry, we’ll find Rarity as soon as we can.”
“Great. I'll look after my sister and take care of her back into my house.” Apple Bloom informed everyone as she helped her sister walk.
“I'll help too.” Fluttershy said.
“Me three!” Pinkie cheered.
“And us too.” Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo vowed in unison.
Leo ordered everyone, “Okay everyone, let’s get to work.”
Everyone nodded as the group split up to take care of their friend while searching for Rarity and their new enemies.
Back in the Everfree Forest, Rarity was all tangled up inside the cave where it’s now the Shadow King’s lair.
“Wake up!”
The Shadow King splashed water at Rarity from his water bottle and Rarity started to wake up and opened her eyes. She saw her hands and legs tied up by the shadowy tentacles.
Rarity tried to use her magic, but the shadow magic negated Rarity’s magical powers. “Why can't I move?”
“Hello, Rarity.” Shadow King smiled as the Diamond Dogs looked on and observed.
“Who are you and what do you want from me?!” Rarity yelped.
The Shadow King asked with sadness in his eyes, “Don't you recognize me, Rarity? I helped you before in school, remember?”
“Doesn't ring a bell, darling?” Rarity replied.
“Let me be specific. I was at the library with you and we were study partners.”
Rarity gathered her thoughts and remembered that moment. She figured what he was talking about. She gasped, “Amethyst?”
“That's right. But the old me is gone. This is the new me now. The Shadow King.”
“I refuse to believe that! What's gotten into you, darling? Why are you doing this?” Rarity pleaded.
“Why? Because I want to make your friends suffer. You see, I saw you back at Equestria Land and I was going to give you a gift and ask you out. But sadly, I saw you and your cowgirl friend together. I was so jealous and angry because of your friend. She stole my opportunity from me!”
“What?! That is preposterous! Do you really think I'm that kind of a lady?!” Rarity shouted.
Shadow King answered, “Yes!”
“Well it's not like that, darling. The truth is, Applejack and I were just apologizing to each other and we hugged it out because I didn't listen to my friends about Vignette. I was so dumb and blind, that's all. So please, Amethyst, let me go.”
King Sombra whispered to the Shadow King’s ear without Rarity noticing. “Don’t listen to her. She's using you to get back on the good side.”
The Shadow King never answered as he touched Rarity’s cheek with his hand and kissed her. Their lips were met and the Shadow King loved the feeling of the kiss. Rarity was shocked, but blushed as well as he stopped. The Shadow King celebrated, “How's that for a change? And I got my first kiss! YES!!!”
“How dare you kiss me without asking permission!” Rarity snapped.
Shadow King replied, “Calm down, babe. I just want to tell you how much I care about you. I want to be friends with you. No, more than that. We can finally be a couple and have your little fairytale moment that you always wanted. So please, help me take over the world and rule by my side. That's all I ever wanted from you.”
“Amethyst… I can't. I'm not ready to go on dates yet. It's too much for me to handle. Besides darling, this isn't the first time I get kissed.” Rarity said.
Shadow King responded, “What?”
“It's true, but I'm sorry.”
Shadow King walked back and forth, seething with rage. “No! No! NO! NO! I refused to believe that! If you won't be my queen, then I'll force you to be my queen!”
“Please, Amethyst, stop! Don't do this!” Rarity begged for mercy as Shadow King pointed his staff at her as it glowed.
“You made me do this, Rarity. So now, I don't have a choice,” Shadow King said and fired his magical beam from his staff at Rarity to begin the spell as well as erasing her memories about her accidental kisses. She screamed and writhing in pain as the Diamond Dogs looked on.
“You know something Rarity, you were under pressure before. Just waiting for everything to go well like you're walking on a catwalk. But when the pressure and the fear of your failure gets to you, it makes you a victim. And now that I'm here, I'm going to help you get through that fear and make you stronger. More powerful than any other being you ever fought in the past. You will no longer be a servant to your pathetic, little friends. From this day forward, you will now and forever shall be… my queen.”
Back at Canterlot City, the Turtles, Rainbooms, and Allies were searching and looking for Rarity from her house to everywhere else in the city. Sunset contacted Karai by phone and asked, “Did you find Rarity yet?”
Karai responded, “No. She's not in the Carousel Boutique.”
Sunset then contacted the Turtles outside the mall, “Leo?”
“She's not at the mall.” Leo replied as Mikey exited from the mall with bags in his hands. “Mikey, what were you doing?”
“What? I was shopping for some new wheels for my skateboard.”
“Did you see Rarity?” Raph asked.
“Nope.”
“Great. This is like finding a needle in a haystack. A giant haystack I mean.” Donnie noted.
Leo assured them, “Don't worry, brothers. We'll find her.”
Back at Rarity’s house, the Rainbooms and the CMC searched from every room to find Rarity, but no sign of her.
The girls gathered around in the living room as Sweetie Belle asked, “Well? Did you find my sister?”
Rainbow sighed, “Sorry girls, we can't find Rarity anywhere.”
“Well, where could Rarity have gone off to?” Pinkie asked.
Then, Sunset thought of something and suggested, “Or… maybe she was kidnapped.” Sunset showed them her phone. “She left her phone if you think about it.”
“You know, that does make sense.” Twilight noted until her phone rang. “Hello?”
Shadow King called, “Hello, Twi. If you girls really want to look for your friend, come find me in these coordinates.” He then send the coordinates to the girls’ phones. The coordinates pinpointed Equestria Land.
Minutes later, the Rainbooms, Ninjas, and Allies arrived at the empty Equestria Land and found the Shadow King and the Diamond Dogs at the center.
“Well, well, it's about time you show up.” Shadow King said.
Sunset asked, “Amethyst, where is our friend?”
“Who?” Spot wondered.
“Rarity? That's who? Did you do something to her?” Raph questioned them.
Shadow King answered, “Why don't you fight us and find out for yourself.”
“Yeah, come over here and fight us, chumps.” Rover added as Shadow King glared at him. “Sorry, sir.”
“One way or another, you're going to tell us where Rarity is. And you are also going to pay for what you did to our friend, Applejack.” Sunset called as the Ninjas and Allies armed their weapons ready.
Shadow King answered, “Try me.”
Everyone drew their weapons as the Diamond Dogs got ready.
“Now this doesn't seem like a fair fight. Maybe I should try that spell an old friend gave me.” Shadow King noted as he snapped his fingers and some familiar shadow warriors appeared.
Leo gasped, “Dusk Ninjas?!”
“Surprised? Attack!” The Shadow King ordered.
Before Leo or the others could warn the girls about them, they got swarmed.
Twilight and the others didn't know what the Dusk Ninjas were, so they fought defensively until Pinkie threw exploding sprinkles on one and it disappeared.
“Huh?” Pinkie said.
Karai then sliced one across the face and it poof into nothing. “Weird.”
Raph exclaimed, “That's what we've been trying to tell you. They're not real! None of them are.”
“He's right. Which means we don't have to hold back!” Rainbow stated as she grabbed one and stabbed her spear through it, causing it to disappear.
The Shadow King watched and observed the heroes taking down the Dusk Ninjas very easily. After the dust was cleared, Leo turned around and the Shadow King hit him with one mighty punch, sent him flying down to the ground. Leo and the gang didn’t saw that coming.
“Cheap shot. But when did you learn how to do that? How did you get the Dusk Ninjas?” Leo asked as his brothers helped him get up.
Shadow King laughed, “Sombra taught me that.”
Leo and his friends were stunned at the revelation.
Raph wondered, “But if Dark Codex knew the Dusk Ninja spell, too...”
Mikey continued, “That must mean Sombra knew and taught him, too.”
Donnie finished, “That also means...”
Shadow King explained, “His spirit still lives on! You can thank your friends from Equestria for that.”
“Why are you doing this, Amethyst? This is not who you are.” Sunset said.
“Amethyst is gone. All of you are the reason that I was turned into this,” Everyone was confused as Shadow King continued explaining, “But that doesn't matter, anymore. This is who I am now. The Shadow King. And soon... My boys and I will rule and conquer all worlds alongside my queen… Rarity.”
Rainbow scoffed, “As if! She will never turn her back on us.”
Shadow King responded, “Not willingly. But if Sombra keeps his end of the bargain, it will be.”
Leo requested him with mercy, “You're making a horrible mistake. Please, stop this madness.”
“No. I won't let you and your friends take my dream away! You see, all the times you fought your villains in this city were girls. Like Vignette, Wallflower, Gloriosa, Juniper, and that goes for you two,” Shadow King pointed his finger at Sunset and Twilight. “But what about men like us? Huh?! Do they ever get a chance to shine on the show?! No! It's because of some stupid creative team from a TV company made that decision. Well today, this king, the Diamond Dogs, and my soon-to-be queen are now the Big Baddies of this story,” Shadow King stated as he posed his fighting stance. “I'll show you heroes what happens when you face me and my dark magic.”
Leo charged at Shadow King, only for him to dodge every strike before kicking him aside. “Didn't want to do this, but...” Leo then realized something, “MY MEDALLION!”
Shadow King revealed he swiped it. “I thought you guys used your skills, not these trinkets. Oh, and you also won't be using your weapons for this battle.” He then used his scepter and removed all of the Ninjas’ weapons, tossing them aside.
“Touché.” Leo stated.
Everyone attacked Shadow King, only to have their Geodes and Medallions taken by him.
Shadow King stated, “No more powers. No more weapons. We settle this hand to hand.” He then called his subjects, “Boys. Help me out here.”
“You got it, boss.” Rover answered as the Diamond Dogs joined their boss for battle.
While everyone continued fighting at the amusement park, the Sombra Crystals and Shadow King’s spell kept messing with Rarity's mind back in the cave.
Deep within her mind, Rarity sat in a very dark place and shed some tears in her eyes. She was scared and pleaded, “Master Splinter… help me.”
Back at Equestria Land, the Ninjas and the Shadow King along with the Diamond Dogs were at a stand-still in hand-to-hand combat.
Shadow King panted for air as he got up, “Seems like your sensei taught you very well, but I…” He cleared his throat, “I mean, we won't be taken down very easily.”
“I understand that you are upset, but this is not the way to calm yourself down. It only prolongs the pain.” Leo advised the Shadow King.
After that, Karai and April tossed the geodes and medallions to the Turtles and Rainbooms. They stood together as a united front and combined their magical powers. As their magical powers charged up, the Turtles and Rainbooms launched their final attack on the villains. However, a giant diamond suddenly appeared and blocked the heroes’ big magical beam.
“What?!” Everyone gasped as the heroes changed back to their normal forms and they all saw Rarity with deep shock in their eyes. However, Rarity looked very different. Rarity’s hair was mixed with violet and white, her skin was dark, her eyes were menacing and cold as ice, and she wore a menacing dress.
“Rarity? Is that really you?” Sunset asked.
“Of course it is me, darling. What did you expect? Look at me, I am feeling much better and more powerful than ever.” Rarity answered with a sinister smile on her face.
Twilight asked with a horrified expression on her face, “What have they done to you?”
“Amethyst, what did you do to Rarity?” Leo asked.
“I turned your friend into a better version of herself. Soon, your magic will be destroyed forever and your cities will be defenseless! Meet our new queen/my girlfriend: Nightmare Rarity!” Shadow King answered as he and Nightmare Rarity kissed in front of the heroes.
Mikey commented in disgust, “I'm going to be sick.”
Then, the voice of Splinter called his son again. “Leonardo.”
Leo whispered, “Yes, sensei?”
“Run!” Splinter whispered to Leo.
“Time for the final blow. Let's send them packing.” Shadow King ordered as the villains combined their dark magic powers to prepare for the final attack.
“Fall back everyone!” Leo yelled.
“Please don't do this, Rarity. We're your friends.” Sunset pleaded.
“Don't call me by that name anymore. I go by Nightmare Rarity now.” Nightmare Rarity vowed as she and her new friends launched their final attack on the ninjas. Suddenly, the man in a black cloak swooped in and deflected their attack with the power of his weapons. The villains were surprised as the figure took off his cloak and revealed himself to be a male adult with a suit, magical armbands on each side and a pin that resembled the Purple Nightmares.
“Father.” Shadow King thought in his mind with a fierce look in his eyes.
Mikey threw down a smoke bomb and the heroes including Amethyst’s father retreated without a trace.
“Don't bother. We'll see them again very soon.” Nightmare Rarity informed her new team. “Right now, we got a city to conquer. And the world next.”
Her new friends nodded as the Shadow King teleported to the top of the city hall. Dark gray clouds begin to form and the Shadow King casted a spell on the citizens of Canterlot City. The Shadow King, Nightmare Rarity, and the Diamond Dogs succeeded in taking over the city with all of its citizens under Shadow King's control.
Minutes earlier, after the ninjas escaped from the Shadow King’s clutches, they panted for air and rested at the alleyway.
Mikey complained, “Man, this situation just got a whole lot worse now.”
Then, Leo and everyone else heard footsteps coming right behind them. “Hold up, we got company.”
The footsteps that the ninjas heard turned out to be the goons of the Purple Nightmares.
“Well, well, well, look what we got here fellas. The ninja brats are right in our doorstep.” Night Terror called as the Ninjas growled. “And now we can finally end you...,” He then noticed someone standing alongside with the ninjas, “...Master?!”
The Ninjas were alarmed and gasped, “MASTER?!?!”
Night Terror stuttered, “G-Good thing you're here, these are the meddlesome turtles and children I told you about...”
“I'm aware of who they are.”
“Great, now let's get rid of them of them at once, sir!” Night Terror suggested.
“No. Not right now. Stand down. All of you.”
Night Terror quickly became surprised by his boss’s decision. He replied, “What? But boss...”
“I said stand down! NOW!” The Purple Nightmares’ boss demanded as his rings on each arm magically glowed.
The Purple Nightmares gulped and stood down, obeying his orders.
Mikey thanked him, “Thank you, Mr. Nightmare Boss, sir.”
“The name's Hardened Stone, little boy.”
Night Terror called, “Let’s head back to base and regroup. Follow us.” The Purple Nightmares entered the building next to them quickly as the Ninjas and Rainbooms followed them.
“Anyone else think this could be a trap?” April whispered.
“I don’t know, but let’s keep an eye on the Purple Nightmares in case they decide to betray us. Right everyone?” Leo whispered and the ninjas nodded.
Inside the building, everyone took a lift down to the Purple Nightmares’s base of operations.
Donnie quipped, “You guys seriously make the Purple Dragons look like amateurs by comparison. Your base has got some state-of-the-art equipment.”
Night Terror replied, “Well, our boss gave us the state-of-the-art equipment and the needs to survive. So, you're welcome.”
Then, the ninjas and Rainbooms noticed someone who was not affiliated with the Purple Nightmares. He had black hair, blue eyes, and wore a red shirt, jeans, shoes, and a karate black belt.
“Have you found my student yet?”
Hard Stone replied, “No.”
“And who in blazes is this dude?” Switchblade asked, twirling his blade.
“This dude you're looking at is Sensei Quickstrike. Founder of Fushigi-Do Karate. Your boss invited me to come down here. Do you have a problem with that?”
Switchblade shook his head as Hard Stone sat down on his chair next to his desk.
“You’re a karate sensei? That’s awesome. We had a sensei too.” Mikey said.
“And who are you all suppose to be?” Sensei Quickstrike asked.
“We are Amethyst’s classmates from CHS,” Sunset answered as the rest of the Rainbooms nodded.
“Are you friends with him?” Sensei Quickstrike asked again.
“Absolutely!” Pinkie answered.
Leo informed him, “And right now he's in trouble.”
“I know. Solid Stone told me about it.” Sensei Quickstrike answered, referring to Amethyst’s father.
Raph whispered, “Are you sure we can trust Solid Stone.”
“What other choice do we have left, Raph?” Leo questioned his brother.
Sensei Quickstrike questioned the ninjas, “So, tell me exactly what happened to Amethyst?
Leo started explaining, “Amethyst has been possessed by some dark entity known as King Sombra.”
“And right now, he's getting ready to take over Canterlot and he’ll do the same to New York next,” Sunset informed him.
Hard Stone replied, “Huh, interesting.”
“So what's the plan here, boss?” Night Terror asked.
Solid Stone explained, “Our plan is to split up and find whatever resource we can find to stop my son.”
“You mean King Sombra?” Leo corrected him.
“Whatever,” Hard Stone sighed.
Sunset suggested, “We know a couple of folks who can help us.”
“I hope you heroes know what you're doing because if my son is not alive, the last thing you will all see is death itself.” Solid Stone warned the heroes and Sensei Quickstrike as Night Terror and his gang wickedly smiled.
Sensei Quickstrike assured the ninjas, “In the meantime, let's defend our homes from this "Shadow King" sort of speak.”
“You mean my son?” Hard Stone corrected him.
Sensei Quickstrike replied, “Yes, your son.”
Leo whispered to his team, “Donnie, Rainbow, you two keep your eyes on Solid Stone.”
Donnie and Rainbow nodded as Leo continued, “Me and Sunset will go find an old friend of ours to help stop Nightmare Rarity and her new friends. The rest of you will stay here and protect our cities.”
Sensei Quickstrike agreed, “You got it, Leo.”
“Do we really have to defend our town, boss? I mean, we can just take advantage of these poor citizens and take whatever we want. Right?” Night Terror suggested his boss.
“No. All we're doing right now is to get my son back. Defy me, you will be dead in seconds. Do you understand Night Terror?” Solid Stone threatened him with an icy stare at his general.
Night Terror bowed to him, “Yes, sir.”
“One more thing, Solid Stone. If you or your group betrays us, we'll make sure you regret it,” Leo warned him.
“…Alright then. That's no concern of mine, anyway.”
Back in the mansion, Shadow King grabbed his staff and pointed it right at the old Foot Bots. He levitated them all, and the dark magic reconfigured them into different modeled ninja bots. Much like the foot bots, they were colored in black and the wardrobe was purple, including their optics. However, some of the ninja bots were big as brutes, some were small and have wings, and the rest were normal sized. The Diamond Dogs and Nightmare Rarity were in awe as the droids and marched forward to their king, awaiting their command.
Shadow King chuckled evilly, “Behold, my own ninja army.”
Nightmare Rarity chuckled too, “Wonderful, my love. What are you gonna call them?”
Shadow King smirked, “Oh, it's obvious my dear. Since the Shredder and his forces have developed these Foot bots and the curtesy of teaming up with the Kraang, they have been completely destroyed by the Ninjas and the Rainbooms. But this will not happen this way. No! I have given them the power of my dark magic. Together with the Dusk Ninjas, they'll be an unstoppable force. And if they ever get destroyed, my magic will summon more of these guys. Nothing will stand in our way as we attack our enemies. Yes! I think I'll call them... Shadow Bots.”
“ALL... HAIL... SHADOW KING” Shadow Bots bowed.
“Yes! OH YES! That's what I like to here!” Shadow King complemented as he marched back and forth to his army, “You will be unleashed throughout Canterlot and New York City. You will all take hostages, bring them to me, and they will all be under my control. We are going to make this world suffer. If those pesky ninjas or Rainbooms are out there, find them. And if you find them, destroy them.”
Their eyes lit up bright purple and stood tall and proud, “As you command, your Majesty.”
Shadow King gave an evil smile, “Good. Now go. Do what needs to be done for the glory of your royalty.”
As the the Shadow Bots went out of the mansion.
King Sombra complimented from the Shadow King’s scepter, “Very impressive.”
“Yes, yes, indeed mi amigo. Because once we've taken over this world, we'll take over every other dimension in the multiverse and ALL WILL BOW TO THE SHADOW KING!” Shadow King wholeheartedly and wickedly laughed while King Sombra laughed as well.
Sunset and Leo head to the statue in CHS and entered the portal to meet their old friends in Equestria. Meanwhile in Princess Twilight Sparkle's Castle, Blade Swipe was reading a book in the library until he saw a portal open. He saw his ninja friends from the other world they stepped out, “Sunset? Leo? What are you guys doing here?”
Leo stated, “We have a big problem back in our world and we need you and Princess Twilight to help us.”
Blade Swipe grabbed his sword and placed it aside, “Sure, how can I help?”
“Do you know where Princess Twilight is, Blade?” Sunset asked.
“She's in the Council Chamber with Spike,” Blade Swipe answered.
Leo nodded, “Good; Because I hope you're ready for a fight, Blade.”
Blade grabbed his sword and put it aside. “I'm always ready with you guys.”
Leo, Sunset, and Blade Swipe entered the Council Chamber to see Princess Twilight and the rest of her friends. A warm smile grew on Twilight’s face, “Leo! Sunset!” She ran to her two friends and hugged them, as they returned the gesture.
“Good to see you, Twilight.” he greeted her.
“Same here,” Sunset greeted.
“Hey y'all,” Applejack greeted as the rest of the Mane 6 entered the chamber.
“Group hug!” Pinkie cheered as the rest of the Mane 6 and Spike hugged Leo and Sunset.
Sunset greeted them, “The feeling's mutual, my friends.”
After the group hug was done, Princess Twilight asked, “So, what brings you here today?”
Leo answered, “We have a big problem back in our world. No offense, but this is about Rarity.”
“Rarity?” Her friends said in unison and turned their attention to Rarity, who felt nervous.
“What? Me? What in Celestia's name did I do to deserve this?!” Rarity questioned loudly.
Sunset calmed her down, “Whoa! Easy there, Rarity. It's not about you, but this is about your counterpart from our world.”
Rarity calmed down, “Oh. That makes sense. Sorry that I overreacted, dear. But overall, none taken. Continue.”
Sunset continued, “Anyway, she's gone dark. Turned evil to be exact and called herself Nightmare Rarity.”
Princess Twilight and her friends gasped as Blade Swipe widened his eyes, “What? You've heard that name before?”
Spike frowned, “Unfortunately, yes.”
“Great! So, how do we stop her?” Sunset asked them.
Princess Twilight answered, “We'll explain everything when we go visit the Princesses in Canterlot.”
Alright then. Let's go to Canterlot.
Minutes later, the heroes arrived at Canterlot Castle to meet the Princesses.
The Mane 6, Blade, Leo, Sunset, and Spike walked into the throne room where Celestia and Luna were.
Leo spoke to Celestia, “Princess Celestia, it's good to see you again.”
Celestia came down and hugged him, “And it is good to see you too, Leo,” she smiled at Princess Twilight and spotted Sunset, “And you as well, Sunset.”
Sunset hugged her back. “Princess, there's trouble happening back in our dimension, and we need your wisdom again please,” Sunset told her former mentor who looked more than happy to help.
“Sure. By all means. How can we help?” Princess Celestia asked.
Sunset explained to the Princesses, “Our friend has been consumed and mind-controlled by the dark magic of our new enemies. As a result, she was turned into Nightmare Rarity.” The Princesses gasped as Sunset continued, “And now, she and her new "friends" are planning to take over our dimension with the use of dark magic.”
Leo continued, “And what's worst is that they're using the Dusk Ninja Spell.”
Princess Luna replied, “Impossible. Dark Codex can only use that kind of spell.”
“Ah, yes, the Dusk Ninjas. Dark Codex created those monstrosities before when I was… with him. But, how is it possible that the Dusk Ninjas can be summoned by someone else?”
Leo explained, “Well, a new enemy of ours might summon the Dusk Ninjas in our dimension.. However, he is not alone. He is working with a name you might be familiar with.”
“Who?” Princess Celestia wondered.
“King Sombra.”
Everypony gasped, shocking the entire room except Sunset, Leo, and Blade Swipe.
Blade Swipe “I don't like the sound of that.”
“That's impossible. He was destroyed by the Crystal Heart. How in Equestria did he survive?” Spike said.
“I don't know. But no matter what, we're going to stop him too,” Leo vowed, clenching his fist.
“So, without further ado, can any of you tell us how this whole Nightmare Rarity event started?” Sunset questioned the Princesses, Mane 6, and Spike in the throne room.
“Do you want the short version or the long version?” Pinkie asked.
Leo answered, “It doesn't matter. Just tell us what you know about Nightmare Rarity. From how it all started to how you defeated her. Again, No offense, Rarity.”
Rarity nodded, “None taken, darling.”
Back in the human world, on the rooftops of CHS, Rover rocked out with his guitar to start the song while the Shadow King asked through his scepter like a mic, “Do you know who I am? Do you know who I am? I am… All of me.”
From there, the Shadow King used his scepter to summon portals above in the skies of Canterlot City and New York while Nightmare Rarity and the demon-formed Diamond Dogs rocked out with their instruments. Then the rest of the Ninjas and Allies arrived to deal with an army of Shadow Bots and Dusk Ninjas, falling from the sky in Canterlot City and New York.
Back in Canterlot, Mikey shouted while dealing with a couple of Shadow Bots, and Dusk Ninjas. “This is going to take forever, yo!”
Twilight then had an idea. “Retreat to the museum! Quickly!”
Then, the heroes rushed towards the location of the portals to fend off against the Dusk Ninjas, and Shadow Bots. After that, the Ninjas, Dazzlings, Casey, and April entered the museum and locked the doors.
April stated, “Locking the doors isn't going to stop them.”
Casey then saw a vase next to him. “You break it, you buy it.” He used his baseball bat to break the vase and the bars were automatically closed shut.
Sonata sighed in relief, “Phew. That was close.”
“Seriously Casey?!” Twilight groaned, facepalmed as well.
Casey shrugged, “What? It can be replaceable, you know.”
Then, a familiar voice rang out.
“What have you done!?”
Everyone turned their attention to three familiar faces in the museum. They were Belle Harmony, Lip Sinker, and Lightning Crash from the band, Color Strikes.
Raph answered, “Uh, saving your butts. That's who.”
“So what are you guys doing here?” Raph asked them.
Lightning Crash replied, “Funny. We should ask you the same thing.”
“And why in Equestria would you break this vase?! This is irreplaceable you know!” Belle Harmony vented.
April explained, “We are very sorry that my pal broke an artifact, but what other choice do we have left in order to survive from the Dusk Ninjas.”
“Dusk Ninjas?” Lip Sinker questioned, confused as well.
Mikey answered, “It's a long story, girl.”
The Ninjas, Dazzlings, Allies, and Color Strikes were officially stuck in the museum while the Shadow King and his shadow army continued to enjoy their takeover.
