[Rewrite of Newborn Queen of Equestria] When I was still very young, I believed that Happily Ever Afters would come to everyone... I now see that, I was just being a naive child. Now... I'll make sure everyone else, gets their own Happily Ever After.

[Rewrite of The Newborn Queen of Equestria]

My name, is Elena Serene. You may not know me... and that's alright... you don't need to know me. When I was still a very, very young child three words meant everything to me... Happily Ever After. Heh, yeah... I know, it seems stupid but the reason that they meant so much to me was because... well I loved what those words were to me. My family... though that doesn't mean too much as of now because... my family likely isn't, alive right now. They died and passed away over a thousand years ago and... I-I've had time to cope in, my own way albeit it's probably not a very healthy way.

Anyway, you may be wondering where I even am. Well, currently I'm in my home, or at least my new home... it's my palace. It's called, The Elder's Recess. As to the whereabouts of the Recess, well... I'm in a place that you likely know from a kid's TV show I used to always watch called 'My Little Pony'... yup, I'm in Equestria alright. But that's not my real story, or at least... that's not where exactly it begins.

My story begins, almost a thousand years before Season 1 of MLP begins... when I was still a child, who'd lost everything. When I met her... When I met, them.

Hello there everyone. it is I, King Rose... and I'm here with the rewrite for Newborn Queen of Equestria. If you want to know why I've rewritten the story, it's all in the edit I've made on Newborn Queen and there's a blog I've got for it located here. I do not own anything, all pictures and characters go to their original owners. Now that I've got that out of the way... may I introduce to you, the rewrite.

Prologue - Elena?

It had been only mere seconds after the massive wave of rainbow light, of which had originated from the Elements of Harmony, had struck Nightmare Moon, when it faded out of existence. Leaving the slowly waking figures of six equines, two being Pegasus, two being Unicorn, and the last two being Earth Ponies. The lavender fur colored Unicorn, Twilight Sparkle, was the first to wake as she noticed the others, her friends waking up as well.

“Is… is everypony alright?” The orange fur colored Earth Pony, Applejack, asked everyone as she let out a small groan of a headache, getting up off the cold stone floor of the tower in the old ruins of the Castle of Two Sisters.

“I… think so. Ugh, my head.” The cyan fur colored Pegasus, Rainbow Dash, responded slowly as she rubbed her forehead with her hoof.

“Oh my. Rarity, it’s so lovely!” The yellow fur colored Pegasus, Fluttershy, marveled as the white fur colored Unicorn, Rarity, nuzzled her previously cut off tail.

“Oh, I know! I’ll never part with it again!!!” Rarity swooned over her tail being nearly instantaneously regrown.

“No, I mean your necklace. It looks just like your Cutie Mark!” Fluttershy pointed out, pointing her hoof towards the golden chained necklace hanging from Rarity’s neck. In the center of the golden necklace was a large dark purple crystal in the shape of a thin diamond, which heavily resembled Rarity’s Cutie Mark, that being the image of three similarly shaped diamonds except that her Cutie Mark was a different color.

“Why, so does yours!” Rarity pointed out as Fluttershy looked down at her neck to see that she also had a golden necklace, but in the middle was a crystal in the shape of a pink butterfly. FLuttershy’s Cutie Mark instead being three fluttering butterflies, whereas the image of which rested calmly on her flank.

“Look at mine! Look at mine!” The pink Earth Pony, Pinkie Pie, cheered energetically as she bounced up to Applejack, showing off her necklace, which instead had a crystal balloon, light blue in color. On her flank rested a triplet of balloons, two of which were the same light blue color while one of them was yellow.

Applejack’s necklace held a crystal as well but instead, she had a small orange colored apple in the center which, in all but color, mirrored her Cutie Mark, that being three red apples. “Aw, yeah!” Rainbow Dash cheered pridefully as she looked at her own necklace, seeing that it was a dark red lightning bolt, which resembled her rainbow lighting bolt and cloud Cutie Mark.

Twilight Sparkle looked up to her head with a smile, as instead of having a necklace she had a crown, which held a large crystal in the shape of a crimson purple six pointed star. Just as her Cutie Mark, was a light purple six pointed star surrounded by other, smaller, white stars. The crown sparkled lightly on her head as the Element of Honesty, Applejack, walked over to her and began to speak.

“Gee, Twilight! I thought you were kinda just spouting a whole lotta hooey, but… I reckon that we really do represent the Elements of Friendship!” Applejack told Twilight, Element of Magic.

Suddenly, there was a brilliant golden glow as the sun swiftly rose out from the horizon. “Indeed you do.” A motherly and kind voice full of integrity and sincerity spoke from the center of that light.

Quickly, the golden sun swam into the sky as a bright ball of celestial light emerged from within the center of the sun as from that ball of light, the Princess of the sun, Princess Celestia emerged. Her hair, waving in an invisible wind as it flowed and sparkled with blue, green and pink colors, her fur as white as the clouds in the sky but as soft as a feather filled pillow with her violet colored eyes and her golden accessories which were adorned around her neck, on her hooves and on her head, her Cutie Mark, a swirling golden orange sun. Princess Celestia was additionally no ordinary Pony as she wasn’t Earth Pony, nor Pegasus, or Unicorn… instead she was the combination of all three, that being… an Alicorn, one of the only few in existence to be exact.

As Celestia stood before all the Elements of Harmony, each one of them began to bow in respectful submission to her highness as Twilight instead galloped up to her mentor and enveloped her into a tender and loving hug. “Princess Celestia!” She shouted with glee as she nuzzled Celestia.

“Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student.” Celestia responded, returning the hug her student was giving her. “I knew you could do it!” She assured her student confidently.

Twilight then had to back away in order to look up at her much taller mentor, as with a slight frown, she said. “But, you had told me that it was all just an old pony tale.” Twilight questioned.

“All I told you, was that you needed to make friends. That was all, no more and no less.” Celestia chuckled slightly as she told Twilight. “I too had seen the signs of Nightmare Moon’s return, and I knew that you had the potential and magic inside to defeat her… but I also knew that you couldn’t have unleashed that magic without opening up your heart to friendship.” She explained to her student before turning to her left. “Now… if only another will as well.” She sighed, her somber smile dropping into a frown.

Sitting directly to Clestia’s left, surrounded by a mass of smoldering and smoking black shards of what was once pieces of armor was a much smaller, light purple Alicorn with fur as light as the night. Her mane, light blue just as a newborn sapphire would be and sapphire blue slippers worn on her feet as she wore a night sky black tiara, much smaller than Celestia’s was. Her Cutie Mark was the opposite of Celestia’s and instead was a black patch on her flank which contained a silver crescent moon. This was Princess Luna… younger sister of Princess Celestia, and Princess of the moon.

Luna slowly opened her eyes before gasping in shock and fear, revealing her turquoise blue eyes as she backpedaled in fear of her approaching sister. “Princess Luna…” Celestia said, walking towards the cowering younger Alicorn. “It has been a thousand years since I’ve seen you like this.” Celestia spoke as she laid down next to the scared Alicorn of the moon. “It’s time to put our differences behind us… we were meant to rule together, little sister.” Celestia told her younger sibling as Luna looked at her older sister in shame of what she’d done.

Hearing that Luna was Celestia’s sister caused a small gasp of surprise to wash out over the audience of six Ponies. “Will you accept my friendship, little sister?” Celestia asked as she stood up in front of her sibling.

Several moments of silence passed as Luna shamefully looked at her sister, tears threatening to fall from her eyes at any moment as the Elements of Harmony leaned further forward in anticipation. Although, the Element of Laughter, Pinkie Pie moved in so forward that she accidentally fell onto the ground, her chin hitting the floor causing her to let out a small yelp of pain. A few more moments passed before tears began to rain from Luna’s eyes as she trotted forward and into the awaiting wings of her older sister, who also began crying… not of sadness, but of joy.

“I-I missed you so much! I-I’m so sorry, big sister!” Luna cried out in tears of joy as she nuzzled into a hug with Celestia.

“I’ve missed you too, Luna” Celestia chuckled, tears of happiness washing down her cheeks as well.

Suddenly, the sound of the ever hyper as hell Pinkie blowing her nose into a small tissue rang out as she sobbed literal waterfalls of tears. Only a split second later, those tears disappeared as her abnormally happy attitude returned. “Hey! You know what this calls for?! A PARTY!!!” Pinkie shouted with happiness, causing the rest of the room to laugh at her antics.

Quickly, the laughter of the ruined room was shut out as the ever increasing sound of tapping rang out into the ears of all in the room. This caused everyone to look over to the entrance of the room and see that a growing shadow was walking up the stairs, slowly but in a never wavering pace. Setting everyone on edge as the steps grew louder, the Elements of Harmony placed themselves between who or whatever was walking up the stairs and their Princess of the sun and their only now returned Princess of the moon, as they all watched in fear of what might walk up those stairs.

Finally, a figure came into view but all but their eyes were covered in shadows as their eyes glowed like twin gold orbs of crystalized flames. The figure stepped even closer until coming to a halt just as the rest of their body aside from their head was shown in the light. Standing there was a being who heavily resembled that of a Minotaur, except that their body structure was far too thin and not muscular enough to be a Minotaur, even if this figure, whoever they were was a female. The figure’s feet were also non-Minotaur-like as they were covered by what appeared to be dark black leather boots which shined fairly in the golden sun, while the legs of the figure were covered in black pants, which the ends of were stuffed into the sides of the boots, as the pants were not too loose but not too tight and they comfortably hugged the figure’s well, figure. The figure was obviously feminine as the Ponies of the room could see that the figure had a pair of D cup size breasts which were covered by a light aqua colored sweater which went halfway up the female’s neck, which is where the shadows stilled covered the girl’s face, while over the female’s sweater and arms the Elements and Princesses could see a sapphire blue jacket which held a bright pink interior which seemed to flow like water even if the jacket itself was completely dry. On the sides of the jacket were small pink striped that stopped near where the zipper of the jacket would be, while resting to either side of the female figure were two jacket sleeves which then exposed the hands of someone with tanned white skin which seemed to still glow with youth, just as a crystal would when exposed to sun or moonlight.

The female simply stood there as if waiting for something as the sister Princesses looked at the figure and widened their eyes, Luna’s eyes widening far more than her sisters as the two recognized the person standing with their face hidden in the shadows as they noticed that resting over the right shoulder of the female was what they knew to be the hair of the female, the color of which started out as a dark seafoam blue before fading into a brilliant sapphire blue. They also saw that the female’s hair was tied in what the Princesses knew to be a ponytail, with a black hair tie tying the female’s hair up into the ponytail. Princess Luna then started to step away from Celestia, who didn’t try to stop her as Luna made her way to the female figure standing at the entrance to the room.

“Princess Luna, what-?” Twilight tried to say before Celestia came up and placed a hoof on Twilight’s shoulder, silencing the mare as the Lunar Princess continued forward until she came a few feet away from the figure.

Then… silence. Just like so many times today, there was nothing… but complete silence as everyone waited, but no one but the Princesses were prepared for what would happen next.

“Hello… Elena.” Luna stuttered as her voice broke with the last word. Tears began to pool and pour from her eyes once again as she knew exactly who was standing in front of her.

“Hey there…” The female, Elena, responded as she stepped out of the shadows, revealing her very much, human face, her skin a soft tanned white which glowed in both the shadows and the sunlight. Her lips had the faintest touch of sapphire blue to them while her eyes were a softly flickering golden orange, while on her head was the hood to her jacket, and at the top of said hood was a black, crown-like crest-piece which were several horns that curved slightly upwards but sat still even if Elena was walking. “- Mom.” Elena said with a soft and sorrowful but also joyful smile, tears also pouring from her eyes. Suddenly Elena ran over towards Luna which caused her hood to fall from its place on her head, falling gently around her neck as Elena wrapped her arms around Luna’s body, hugging her tightly, as Luna wrapped her hooves around Elena’s neck hugging her just as tight, allowing both females to cry onto one another’s shoulders.

Silence and shock washed over all of the room as only the small sobs of joy and happiness from both Elena and Luna echoed throughout the ruined tower room, leaving everyone aside from Celestia with one, major question which burned in their minds.

~MOM!?!?!?~
