Chapter One: The World Rings Saga

"Ah. Equestria", Sonic said. "How I've missed this strange world." He zoomed over to the castle, where Princess Twilight Sparkle resided. He knocked on the door. Spike answered.

"Sonic?", Spike asked.

"Hey, Spike!", Sonic said. "Where's Twilight?"

"Spike, who is it?", a voice asked. Sonic beamed at the sound. Twilight walked over and had a shocked look on her face. "Sonic? Is that you?" She felt his quills.

"Hey, Princess. It's been a long time, hasn't it?", Sonic replied. He, Spike, and Twilight hugged.

"What brings you here?", Twilight asked.

"The World Rings from the Arabian Nights stories somehow winded up here. I have to find them before they fall into the wrong hands. Er, hooves", Sonic explained.

"Then you'll need some help. They could be anywhere", Spike said.

"Where's Rainbow Dash?", Sonic asked. "She's the only one who could keep up with me."

"She's training with the Wonderbolts", Twilight answered. Sonic used the Chaos Emeralds to turn into SuperSonic and flew off after bidding farewell to the duo.

At Wonderbolt Academy...

The Wonderbolts were in the locker rooms. Sonic entered. Rainbow Dash closed her locker door and saw the hedgehog. She zoomed over to him and wrapped her arms around him. Sonic returned the embrace. "What in Equestria are you doing here, old pal?", Rainbow Dash asked. The last time Sonic was in Equestria, he and Rainbow Dash went on a date. Now, they're in love with each other. In a way, they're perfect for each other.

"The World Rings from the Arabian Knights stories somehow winded up here. I have to find them before they fall into the wrong hooves", Sonic explained.

"Oh, boy. I played that game. Those Rings pack some serious firepower", Rainbow Dash replied with a grave expression on her face.

"Will you help me?" Sonic asked.

"You bet your blue fur I'll help you", Dash answered. However, unbeknownst to the lovebirds, a familiar villain was lurking.

"Well, well, well", the villain said. "If it isn't the speedsters known as Rainbow Dummy and Sonic the Rat."

"I'm... a... HEDGEHOG!", Sonic yelled. "I look nothing like a rat!" Rainbow Dash was horrified by what her rival said. The Erazor Djinn, the main antagonist for Sonic and the Secret Rings, called Sonic a rat.

"Those Rings could be crucial in my quest to destroy you!", Lightning Dust said. She zoomed off.

"She can't even find the Rings. She might've played the game, but she's not very bright", Rainbow Dash said with relief. Sonic kissed her head.

"Don't worry. We'll find them", Sonic said. "If we find one, then she can't find the rest." He took out a ring. "These puppies can teleport us anywhere. Now, if only I can find an engagement ring." Rainbow Dash blushed.

"Okay. You and Shahra found the Yellow Ring in the Sand Oasis, which is obviously a desert. Maybe Somnambula can help us out. Or maybe Ahuizotl. He knows more about ancient items than anypony else", Rainbow Dash said.

"Isn't Ahuizotl a bad guy who tried to usher in eight hundred years of unrelenting heat?", Sonic asked.

"Eh, whatever. Let's go", Rainbow Dash answered. Sonic threw a ring, creating a portal to Tenochtitlan Basin. The pair stepped through. "Ahuizotl? Hello?"

"So, what does this Ahuizotl guy look like- SWEET MERCY!", Sonic shouted. Ahuizotl emerged from a room.

"Hello? Someone there?", he asked. "Oh! Rainbow Dash! What brings you here?"

"Sonic needs to find the World Rings before my rival can. Have you seen anything strange falling from the sky?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"Hmmm... actually, now that you mention it, there was a meteorite-like object falling towards the village of Somnambula", Ahuizotl said. He noticed the glaring hedgehog looking around and poised for attack. "You alright?" Suddenly, the Sun was covered up. "Hey! Who turned out the lights?!" Lightning Dust appeared in front of the trio. "Cats, attack!" A tiger, a cheetah, a lynx, a panther, and a fussy white house cat appeared and attacked the villain. However, she was quickly able to knock them out.

"There's no escape from this place! Soon enough, you, that freakish creature, and that meddling rat will bow down to me!", Lightning Dust said. She zoomed off.

"No escape?!", Rainbow Dash said with distress.

"She underestimated me. This place is crawling with secret exits", Ahuizotl said. However, there was literally no escape. Lightning Dust had trapped the trio inside Tenochtitlan Basin. Sonic took out a ring and threw it. It created an exit. He and Rainbow Dash stepped through. "Go. I'll need to remove the lockdown." Sonic closed the portal.

"You're not going anywhere, you rat!", Lightning Dust said. She tackled Sonic and pinned him down. She repeatedly punched him.

"Stay away from my boyfriend!", Rainbow Dash shouted. Lightning Dust stopped. The two rivals circled each other. "I'll never bow down to you!"

"Oh, not just you. Your friends will obey me as well! The Yellow Ring will be mine!", Lightning Dust said.

"Not just anyone can possess the powers of the World Rings!", Rainbow Dash replied. She leaped at her rival, and the duo fought in the air.

"Time for some chaos", Sonic said. He activated the Chaos Emeralds and transformed into SuperSonic. Using the Emeralds' powers, he delivered a series of punches and kicks to the villain. Ahuizotl appeared and grabbed Lightning Dust with his tail.

"You underestimate my power", Ahuizotl growled. The Guardian threw Lightning Dust into oblivion. "What'd you do to tick her off?"

"She tried to manipulate me into becoming a reckless pony", Rainbow Dash answered.

"Well, that's not good", Sonic said. "We have to get to the village now. There's no doubt that Lightning will still try to kill us."

"The town's that way. Unfortunately, Daring Do won't be around to help us out. Come on", Rainbow Dash said. The couple left. "Why can't you use one of your rings as an engagement ring?"

"Because they're power rings. Only I can wield that kind of power, Sonic said.

"Oh", Rainbow Dash replied.

In the village of Somnambula...

"Hello? We're looking for Somnambula!", Rainbow Dash called. However, the townsponies were more interested in the hedgehog that was accompanying Rainbow Dash.

"Hey, what is that?", a pony asked.

"Is that an animal?", another pony asked

"Is that one of Discord's creations?", a third pony asked.

"Is that an alien?", a fourth pony asked.

"Yes!", Sonic answered. "I'm Sonic the Hedgehog, a little ball of super-energy in an extremely handsome package! I'm an alien hailing from the plant Mobius!" Everypony walked closer. "The diabolical Dr. Eggman is always trying to conquer my world. Fortunately, my friends and I always stop him. Then, a couple years ago, after we saved the world from ultimate destruction (as depicted in Sonic Forces), Eggman sent the Chaos Emeralds here. I knew my rings could send me anywhere, so I came here." He held up one of the Emeralds. "They're called Emeralds, but only this one is green. There's also a yellow one, a blue one, a red one, a purple one, a white one, and an aqua one. I know, it's weird. Anyways, during my search, the Mane Six, Spike, and Discord helped me in my quest to find the Chaos Emeralds. When we found them all, Eggman decided to track me down, but, as one force, we defeated Eggman once again. However, before I left to go back to my world, Rainbow Dash took me on a date." Everypony marveled at the alien hedgehog.

"But how did you get here in the first place?", a fifth pony asked. Sonic held up a ring.

"These rings can teleport me anywhere if super-speed isn't enough", Sonic answered. Unbeknownst to everypony, somepony was recording this. Sonic sensed this. Using his super-speed, he apprehended the pony who was recording everything. He removed the hood. It was Lightning Dust. The townsponies circled around the villain. Sonic threw her into oblivion, but she regained her balance and charged at Sonic. He activated the Chaos Emeralds and slugged Lightning in the gut.

"Agh!", Lightning screamed. "You rat!" Sonic grabbed her and flew upwards. He slammed her down to the ground. Sonic grabbed Rainbow Dash's hoof, and together, they knocked Lightning out. Sonic destroyed the camera. Somnambula approached the duo. After explaining what was going on, Somnambula led the duo to where the Yellow Ring was spotted: a pyramid.

"You're kidding me, right?", Sonic asked.

"If you seek the Ring of Joy, then go into the pyramid. However, the one you hate is still after what you desire", Somnambula answered.

"OHHHHHHHHHH! Give me a big fat BREAK!", Rainbow Dash annoyingly replied. The duo entered the pyramid.

"I did not expect the Ring to be in here. Unless there's some giant scorpion-like monster guarding it, we should be fine", Sonic said. As they continued walking, Sonic felt an uneasy presence. An arrow shot out from the wall, but Sonic caught it mere inches away from his face. He and Rainbow Dash used their super-speed to avoid the arrows. They made it into a tomb. In the ceiling, there was a hole. "That's not natural."

"Neither is that!", Rainbow Dash said. She pointed at something on the floor.

"The Yellow Ring!", Sonic said. He went to go pick it up... but Lightning Dust, who also has super-speed, grabbed it first. "No!" He activated the Chaos Emeralds and he and Rainbow Dash flew after the villain.

"You want it? Come and get it!", Lightning Dust bellowed. She tossed the ring and it landed onto the tail of a giant scorpion. She then attacked Rainbow Dash, and the two rivals brawled in the air. Sonic landed on the ground and charged at the scorpion. The force sent the giant monster sliding backwards.

"There's more where that came from!", Sonic shouted. Meanwhile, high in the air, Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust were locked in hoof-to-hoof combat. Lightning threw the Wonderbolt onto the roof of the pyramid. She then tossed Rainbow Dash into the path of the scorpion. "Dash!" Sonic used his super-speed to save his beloved.

"How cute!", Lightning Dust said. The scorpion started to run.

"That thing is headed for the village!", Sonic said. He ran after it. He rolled into a ball and continued to follow the giant scorpion. Rainbow Dash caught up to the scorpion and grabbed the Yellow Ring. However, Lightning Dust grabbed it and flew off. Fortunately, removing the Yellow Ring calmed the beast down. It followed the duo back to the pyramid.

"Sonic! Lightning has the Yellow Ring!", Rainbow Dash said.

"Oh, you mean this Yellow Ring?", Sonic asked. He held up the Yellow Ring. "During the battle, I replaced the Yellow Ring with a mega ring." He gave the Yellow Ring to Rainbow Dash. "Here." She put it on her left wrist. She and Sonic embraced tightly. Suddenly, Lightning appeared.

"Give me the Ring!", she screamed. However, using her newfound strength, Rainbow Dash punched Lightning in the stomach and choked her.

"You have no chance at getting the World Rings!!! With the power of the Yellow Ring, I hereby condemn you to prison!!!", Rainbow Dash bellowed.

"Uh... that's not how the World Rings work", Sonic said. Still in his SuperSonic form, he repeatedly punched Lightning in the face, resulting in a black eye and a bloody nose. Rainbow Dash tossed her rival aside and kissed Sonic. Their shared energy caused the scorpion to fall asleep... on top of Lightning.

"Come on. The Green Ring is next", Rainbow Dash said. She and Sonic zoomed off.

"Uh, a little help here?! Hello!", Lightning called. The scorpion was fast asleep. Somnambula approached. She glared at the villain. "Uh-oh." She socked the villain in the other eye and walked back to her village. "Dang it! RAINBOW DASH! I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!!!" She annoyingly looked up at the scorpion... and a look of horror touched her face. This wasn't a scorpion at all. it was a Death Stalker, a creature of Grimm from RWBY. She crawled away and zoomed off in terror.

As the duo were running...

"So, where are we going?", Sonic asked.

"Well, the Green Ring was in the Dinosaur Jungle, right? The Everfree Forest is the closest thing we have to a jungle", Rainbow Dash answered. "And if those timberwolves aren't dinosaur-like, then I don't know what is!"

"Excuse me, what?", Sonic asked. "Did you say 'timberwolves'? What do they look like?"

"Like that", Rainbow Dash answered. A timberwolf was in their path. It roared.

"Alright! The bigger they are, the harder they fall!", Sonic said. He attacked the creature and it fell apart. "Piece of cake!" However, it reassembled itself! "Uh-oh." Suddenly, a beam enveloped the duo. It pulled them up just before the timberwolf leaped at them. "Eggman?"

"Step on it! That thing is ANGRY!", Rainbow Dash said. Eggman complied and flew off with the duo. The timberwolf howled, calling more timberwolves. They combined, forming a Timberwolf King.

"What are you bolt-brains doing?! ATTACK!", Eggman shouted. Orbot and Cubot fired weapons at the monster. With an annoyed sigh, Rainbow Dash threw a rock into the Timberwolf King's mouth, causing it to suffocate and explode. "You're lucky that your pink friend sensed you were in danger." Suddenly, a bloodied and beaten Lightning Dust appeared.

"Surprise!", Lightning viciously shouted. She bashed into the aircraft, causing the five passengers to fly out. She grabbed a fallen tree branch and mercilessly beat Rainbow Dash. She then turned to Sonic, but someone appeared in front of the hedgehog.

"No one kills him but me", Shadow said. He looked at the blue hedgehog and smirked.

"Argh! Another speedster?! I have had ENOUGH OF THIS!", Lightning yelled. Sonic ran to Rainbow Dash's side. He wrapped his arms around the defeated and unconscious Wonderbolt and held her close.

"You're a monster!", Sonic shouted through tears.

"I know", Lightning responded. Shadow attacked her, but she felt no pain. She glared at the black hedgehog. Her injuries disappeared. Shadow glanced sympathetically at Sonic. The blue hedgehog gave Shadow the Chaos Emeralds, causing Shadow to turn into SuperShadow. Using a ring, Sonic teleported Eggman and his cohorts back to Mobius. Sonic didn't let go of Rainbow Dash. Suddenly, her wings wrapped around Sonic, and he hugged her tightly.

"I'm here. You're gonna be alright", Sonic whispered.

"I... love... you... S... Sonic...", Rainbow Dash weakly said.

"I love you too", Sonic replied. The defeated pony weakly put an engagement ring on Sonic's right ring finger. Meanwhile, Shadow and Lightning were still brawling. He saw the ring on Sonic's finger.

"I'm not letting you rip them apart!!!", Shadow shouted. He delivered a hard punch to Lightning's jaw. "Yo, Sonic!" Sonic gently let go of Rainbow Dash and joined his dark counterpart. He glared at Lightning. "Let's do this!" Sonic used the Chaos Emeralds and turned into SuperSonic. The two hedgehogs used their super-speed and rammed into Lightning, sending her flying.

"You rats!", Lightning yelled.

"We're hedgehogs!", the duo shouted.

"Whatever! I will always come back!", Lightning responded.

"Then I'll always track you down! Unlike Sonic, I can teleport without rings!", Shadow replied. "He's fast, I'm furious!" Twilight appeared behind the two hedgehogs and saw the defeated pony... then saw Lightning Dust. In anger, she blasted the villain, shocking the duo. "Well, that was anticlimactic." The duo reverted back to normal. Twilight saw the engagement ring on Sonic's finger and smiled.

At the hospital...

Sonic and Shadow were waiting outside Rainbow Dash's room. "So, she said that the Green Ring was in the Everfree Forest?", Twilight asked.

"Yeah, but we almost got killed by a Timberwolf King and Lightning Dust", Sonic answered. Using a ring, he returned to the Everfree Forest, determined to find the Green Ring. Eventually, he found it... except it was on top of a tree. "No problem!" He climbed the tree. "This is too easy!" He grabbed the Green Ring and put it on his left wrist, feeling a surge of its power. Lightning, who was still alive, flew towards Sonic, but he knocked her out of the sky using his newfound strength. He ran back to the hospital after sensing that his fiancée was awake.

"You found it!", Shadow said. He and Sonic fist-bumped. He walked into the room and saw Rainbow Dash. She saw the Green Ring on his wrist.

"What emotion does that Ring carry?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"Hatred", Sonic answered.

"Twilight said that Pinkie went crazy over the fact that you and I are getting married. She's already planning it", Rainbow Dash said.

"I guess some things never change", Sonic said with a chuckle.

"Which Ring is next?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"The Blue Ring, but we'll worry about that later", Sonic answered as he kissed Rainbow Dash. He got in bed with her.

"How many of these things are there?", Twilight asked.

"Seven. There's also a yellow one, a blue one, a red one, a purple one, a white one, and an aqua one", Shadow answered. "If those rings fall into the wrong hands or hooves, then the entire universe could be in danger." He teleported back to Mobius and Twilight left the hospital. The next day, Rainbow Dash and Sonic went to the Cloudominium.

"I was planning on proposing to you during a date, but our love is extremely powerful. It made the scorpion fall asleep!", Rainbow Dash said. "Plus, I felt like I was dying."

"Don't say that. You're still alive, aren't you? Plus, we have two of the Rings in our possession right now", Sonic replied.

"Heh. Yeah, I guess that's true. We make a pretty good team", Rainbow Dash said. "Who will defend Mobius now?"

"My friends. Tails will be the new leader", Sonic answered. "The fate of Equestria is in our hands and hooves." Unbeknownst to them, Lightning was spying on the couple. She flew off before she could be found out. "Why does Lightning hate you so much?"

"I ruined her chances of becoming a Wonderbolt, but it was the right thing to do", Rainbow Dash answered.

"Oh", Sonic replied.

Lightning had been spying on the couple for two weeks, uncovering their secrets. In that time, she had figured out the locations of the rest of the World Rings. She was planning to ambush the Mane Six at the wedding since they're in the way of her controlling the minds of everypony in Equestria.

In the town hall...

Twilight had put up a force field to prevent Lightning from getting in. "That should do it!", she said.

"Thanks, Twilight", Rainbow Dash said. "This is the happiest day of my life, and I don't want some maniacal villain to ruin it."

"Same here", Sonic said. The guests were able to go through the force field using a secret entrance. Should Lightning decide to attack, Sonic's friends (Tails, Amy, Shadow, Knuckles, Silver, and Vector) would provide extra backup.

"Fillies and gentlecolts, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of Rainbow Dash and Sonic the Hedgehog", Twilight announced. Outside, the Mobians all had their weapons at the ready. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to them, Lightning had already made it inside. She had deactivated the force field! "I now pronounce you husband and... uh-oh." The Mane Six and Sonic turned to find Lightning in the audience. She grabbed the bride and hurled her outside.

"No!", Sonic shouted. He, his friends and the rest of the Mane Six surrounded Lightning. "Everyone, clear out!" Everypony evacuated the town hall. The heroes all fought Lightning, but in the two weeks that passed since Rainbow Dash proposed to Sonic, she had grown stronger, faster, and smarter. She grinned evilly at the heroes. Using her newfound speed, she knocked almost everybody out, but Sonic and Shadow were still standing. Sonic's hatred for Lightning was even stronger thanks to the Green Ring.

"Just give me the Green Ring!", Lightning bellowed.

"You want this? Come and get it", Sonic replied. He ran. Lightning chased him throughout the town. "You can't win, Lightning!"

"This is my kingdom! MY DESTINY!", Lightning responded. Sonic leaped and grabbed Lightning, holding her by the throat. Using the power of the Green Ring, he choked her.

"You never stood a chance against me", Sonic said. He repeatedly slammed her down to the ground, ultimately knocking her out. He ran back to the town hall and Silver used his time powers to fix everything.

Take 2...

"I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride", Twilight said. Rainbow Dash and Sonic kissed. Lightning, who was weak, hobbled into the town hall.

"I... will... never... stop. I always... come... back... one way... or another", she said before collapsing in a heap.

On the balcony...

The newlyweds looked out across Ponyville as a song played inside the town hall.

"I think our future is brighter than ever now that we're together", Sonic said to his wife.

"I wonder what our child would look like", Rainbow Dash said.

"He or she would probably look like a hybrid between me and you", Sonic replied.

That night...

"Throughout Equestria, the seven World Rings were all glowing eerily. The Yellow Ring was glowing yellow, the Green Ring was glowing green, the Blue Ring was glowing blue, the Aqua Ring was glowing light blue, the Red Ring was glowing red, the White Ring was glowing white, and the Purple Ring was glowing purple. At the Cloudominium, Rainbow Dash and Sonic were fast asleep. The Rings seemed to be communicating with one another. 'Chili dogs... give me chili dogs...', Sonic muttered in his sleep. Since the World Rings aren't from Equestria, their glow is quite dim. Once they're all together, they can light up the night. They can also grant your greatest wishes. However, if these Rings fall into the wrong hands or hooves, they would bring darkness and destruction. But in the right hands or hooves, they could connect the universe", Pinkie monologued. She tends to do that... a lot. But what she said was correct. The World Rings can bring darkness and destruction or they could connect the universe. They are fueled by emotions. Your emotions control the World Rings. Each Ring has a specific emotion, and Sonic understands this.

At Las Pegasus...

"Alright! This place is pretty cool!", Sonic said. "Applejack and Fluttershy said that the pony who used to run this place was a spawn of hell."

"Well, he was evil, but he's been taken care of", Rainbow Dash replied. "Now, Flim and Flam run this place, despite their questionable methods."

"Can we trust them?", Sonic asked, understanding the threat they possessed to Applejack in the past.

"Let's hope so", Rainbow Dash answered.

In their hotel room...

There was a news report on TV about the seven World Rings. "Thanks to two mysterious heroes, two of the seven World Rings have been found." In her house, Lightning was also watching the report with interest. "Locals have claimed to see the Blue Ring, which is infused with the emotion of prayers according to this black creature, in Las Pegasus. However, only these two heroes can wield it."

"And if you're watching this Lightning, you don't stand a f***ing chance against the newlyweds!", Shadow, who had grabbed the microphone, shouted. However, Lightning only grinned evilly.

"Looks like I'm going to Las Pegasus", Lightning said. She flew off. However, Shadow attacked her, sending her plummeting to the ground.

"I had a feeling you wouldn't listen", the black hedgehog said. "Now... I gotta make sure you don't get that Ring." Lightning got up and missed a few punches. "Primitive being. The darkness cannot be defeated." He aimed a submachine gun at the villain. "I... am Shadow the Hedgehog. And this... is my gun." The gun rapidly fired bullets. However, Lightning grabbed it and Shadow got shot instead.

"This will be useful", Lightning said. Shadow was badly hurt.

Back at Las Pegasus...

"If that World Ring is here, we need to find it before Lightning!", Rainbow Dash said.

"But the report wasn't specific enough!", Sonic replied. "Plus, Lightning knows where it is now!"

"Then we'll...", Rainbow Dash started to say, but she vomited into a garbage can. She sighed. "I guess now's a good time to say it. Sonic, I'm pregnant." Suddenly, Shadow appeared, but he was badly hurt.

"Shadow!", Sonic shouted.

"She's coming...", Shadow weakly said. Using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic healed his dark counterpart. "I learned in Logan to not be what Eggman's grandfather made me to be." He teleported away to warn the ponies about the coming conflict. Gospel Of Dismay played over the radio.

Lightning was nearing Las Pegasus, submachine gun in hoof. A fully revived Shadow catapulted himself into the air and grabbed Lightning, sending them both tumbling to the ground. "If you were good enough, maybe Maria would still be alive", Lightning said. Shadow's eyes grew wide with terror. A flashback revealed that Maria Robotnik, Shadow's old friend, was mortally wounded by a GUN Soldier's gunshot. Using the distraction to her advantage, Lightning delivered a hard punch to the immortal creature's jaw. He grabbed her throat and held her at gunpoint.

"Do't mention her name", he growled. He tossed her aside. Sonic joined him. "Where's Rainbow Dash?"

"She can't fight because she's pregnant", Sonic answered. The moment he said that, Lightning grabbed Shadow's gun and flew off towards Las Pegasus. "NO!" Using the Chaos Emeralds, the duo transformed into SuperSonic and SuperShadow and followed the villain.

In the room...

Lightning aimed the gun at Rainbow Dash. "You will never live to give birth to another annoying speedster!", Lightning screamed. Suddenly, Sonic and Shadow arrived and brawled with Lightning. "You sons of-" She couldn't finish what she was saying as she was thrown out of the room. Sonic ran over to his pregnant wife and kissed her. Shadow aimed his gun at Lightning... and fired. The bullet went through her left wing, sending her plummeting to the ground.

"Direct hit!", Shadow said. He gave a thumbs-up to the couple as they looked on.

"Let's finish this!", Sonic shouted. He leaped out the window and landed near Lightning. The villain's wing repaired itself. She rammed into the hedgehog. In the room, Shadow felt a presence... under the bed. Rainbow Dash followed his gaze. She looked under the bed to find the Blue Ring. She put it on her right wrist and felt a surge of its power. Electricity crackled around her body as her eyes turned blue.

"I... am... me", Rainbow Dash said. Supercharged with energy from the two Rings she now possessed, she flew out of the room and grabbed Lightning by the throat. She threw her twenty yards. Shadow watched from the room. Using a long shard of glass from the broken window, Rainbow Dash stabbed her rival in the heart and dragged her towards the edge of Las Pegasus. "You shouldn't have messed with me or Sonic. Sayonara." Lightning was hurled off the edge and fell to the ground. Rainbow Dash collapsed. Sonic and Shadow ran over to her. Sonic saw the Blue Ring around his wife's right wrist.

"What's next, Sonic?", Shadow asked.

"Being a father", Sonic answered.

A year later...

There had been no information about the whereabouts of the Aqua Ring, though Sonic didn't care. A month ago, Rainbow Dash gave birth to their daughter, whom they named Kokiri after the Kokiri Emerald from The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, and the infant needed her parents. Kokiri was a hedgehog-pony hybrid called a hedge-pony. Meanwhile, Shadow was continuing to look for the World Rings in Sonic's absence. Once Kokiri grew old enough, Sonic and Rainbow Dash would resume their journey.

"Where's that damn fourth World Ring?!" Shadow asked himself as he ran. Suddenly, he felt a presence. He was near a body of water. "Well, that's not good. Sonic's weakness is water."

At the Cloudominium...

"So... across the sea, huh?", Sonic asked.

"Yep", Shadow answered.

"Who's gonna look after Kokiri?", Sonic asked. He held the sleeping hedge-pony in his right arm. Instead of a mane, she had quills in the shape of Sonic's quills.

"How about Tails?", Shadow asked.

"Yeah, okay. I'll see if he's available", Sonic answered.

On Mobius...

"Of course I'll look after Kokiri for you and Rainbow Dash", Tails said. "Only you and her can access their power."

"Thanks, Tails", Sonic said. "Our journey will take us across the ocean, so we'll need someone to look after Kokiri while we're gone. It's no wonder why it's called the Aqua Ring."

"Wh- oh", Tails replied.

"Hun, ready to go?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"Huh? Oh! Coming", Sonic answered. He gave his best friend and daughter a smile and he followed his wife through the portal. Once the couple stepped through, Sonic closed it. Tails held Kokiri in his right arm. He went inside his house.

At a house...

"Rainbow Dash... prepare to die", a mysterious female figure said. The figure put on a green-and-black jumpsuit and a helmet. Extending a pair of homemade wings, the figure flew off into the night.

On a boat, Sonic was fast asleep. He and Rainbow Dash were using a boat to cross the ocean. Shadow came along for security purposes. Suddenly, something landed on the deck. Shadow aimed his submachine gun at the figure, who stared at him through her helmet. He fired, but the figure expertly evaded the bullets, much to Shadow's shock. He climbed up the mast and became one with the night. His black fur makes him virtually invisible in the night. The figure looked around confusedly. He fired again, hitting the target this time. The helmet was knocked off, revealing the figure to be Scootaloo. "You son of a bitch!", she shouted. She knocked Shadow off the mast and he fell into the water. Rainbow Dash, who woke up because of the gunfire, dived in after the immortal creature. She burst out with the soaked hedgehog in her arms. She looked on in horror as the orange filly glared at her.

"Scootaloo?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"No... not Scootaloo... Thunder Clap!", the orange filly bellowed.

Suddenly, Rainbow Dash saw something appear over the horizon. Thunder Clap flew off. Sonic emerged.

"What the hell's going on?!", the tired hedgehog asked. He followed Rainbow Dash's gaze to the horizon. "Oh, shit." A pirate ship that had the Aqua Ring could be seen.

"Why would pirates want the Aqua Ring?", Shadow asked. He landed next to Sonic.

"I don't think these are your average pirates", Rainbow Dash answered.

"I've dealt with their captain before, so this should be a piece of cake", Sonic said. He then realized that they were on the water. "Crap."

"If they really have the Aqua Ring, then can't we just shoot them down?", Shadow asked, wielding a rocket launcher.

"Yeah, sure, why not?", Sonic answered. Shadow took aim.

"Say hello to my little friend", Shadow said. He fired. The rocket flew towards the pirate ship. It obliterated the entire ship, and the Aqua Ring was sent flying... away from the trio.

"Dash, who was that pony? I saw you with a look of horror in your eyes. Do you know that pony?", Sonic asked.

"Whoo! Got 'em!", Shadow shouted victoriously.

"She... was my adopted sister... but when I told her to follow her dreams... she joined Lightning... and the Washouts", Rainbow Dash answered through tears.

"Wait, where'd the ring go?", Shadow asked.

"I... I loved her... she was my sister... but now... the filly I loved is gone...", Rainbow Dash said through tears.

"Guys, I think the Aqua Ring fell into the water", Shadow said.

"Wait, what? Are you kidding me?!", Sonic asked angrily. "We have an evil filly that Rainbow Dash once knew after us, and you're first concern is the Aqua Ring?!" Suddenly, an island in the distance was glowing eerily.

"Perhaps the Aqua Ring is over there?", Rainbow Dash asked. She pointed to the island. She steered the boat to the island. Unbeknownst to them, Thunder Clap was following them.

"What kind of a crappy name is 'Thunder Clap'?", Shadow asked.

"Lightning and Thunder. Makes sense to me", Sonic answered.

"We're nearing the island. We don't know what to expec-", Rainbow Dash started to say, until another rocket was fired.

"Looks safe to me", Shadow said. They arrived at the island.

"Let's roll", Sonic said. He and the distraught Rainbow Dash exited the boat.

"You guys go. I'll guard the boat", Shadow said. The married couple walked into the forest. "Look at those gorgeous sons of bitches."

"It's unfortunate they'll have to die", Thunder Clap said. Shadow whirled around and aimed a mini-gun. However, he villain was invisible. "Oh, Shadow. Do you honestly think your immortality makes you superior to us mortals?"

"What?! No!", Shadow said. "I'm not superior! I've moved on!"

"What exactly are you? A monster who was created in a lab? The result of an attempt to recreate a super-weapon that could bring about the end of our kind?", Thunder Clap asked.

"Stop hiding, Clap!", Shadow shouted. Suddenly, the mini-gun was knocked out of Shadow's grasp, disarming him. "Show yourself!" He put up his fists and assumed a fighting stance. However, the invisible villain knocked him unconscious by swinging the mini-gun across his head.

"So uncivilized", Thunder Clap said. "Now that fuckface is off the board, I can hunt down the others."

In the forest...

Sonic was calling Tails, who was with Kokiri. Unbeknownst to the hedgehog and his wife, Thunder Clap, who was still invisible, had caught up with them. Ah. So they have a child. I guess she should be taken off the board as well. Rainbow Dash couldn't believe that her sister had turned into a monster. I guess I should also take fox boy off the board. Can't have them calling for backup, can we? Thunder Clap was literally thinking out loud. The couple looked around the forest in horror. "Gotta go", Sonic said. He hung up.

"You don't deserve to possess those rings. Give them to me or suffer the consequences", Thunder Clap said.

"Scootaloo, please stop! This isn't you!", Rainbow Dash desperately pleaded.

"I already told you that my name is THUNDER CLAP!", the villain responded. "You told me to follow my dreams, so I did! And I'm glad I did! My future has never been more clearer! It's time to DIE!"

"YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME!", Thunder Clap screeched. Suddenly, Sonic tripped over something. It was the Aqua Ring. Rainbow Dash put it on her left ankle as the couple continued to run. Suddenly, Rainbow Dash did a U-turn and socked Thunder Clap in the jaw, making her visible. With her newfound strength, Rainbow Dash pummeled her former pupil into the ground.

"I trusted you! I gave you everything you could've ever wanted! I loved you, Scootaloo! We were sisters in arms!", Rainbow Dash shouted before knocking her foe out with one last punch. The couple walked back to the boat to find Shadow knocked unconscious.

Sonic, Rainbow Dash, and Shadow tracked the Red Ring, which is infused with the emotion of rage, to an active volcano. "How the hell are we gonna survive this?", Shadow asked.

"Either we figure out how to survive lava or we risk everything", Rainbow Dash answered. However, Sonic simply ran into the volcano.

It turned out that the volcano was currently at rest. Shadow and Rainbow Dash entered the volcano as well. "Holy shit!", Shadow shouted. The echo bounced around. The Red Ring was in a pool of lava. Sonic reached for it, but it sank as if something pulled it down. The lava started to bubble. Suddenly, a giant hand emerged from the lava. "What the hell is that?!" Another hand emerged as well. A giant fire monster rose to its full height and roared. It slammed its fists down, but the heroes ran. "So much for being at rest!"

"We need to destroy that thing!", Rainbow Dash shouted. Suddenly, an evil cackle was heard. "Thunder Clap." The aforementioned villain flew out of the volcano. "I'll handle Thunder Clap! You two, take care of the monster!" She flew towards the villain and tackled her while Sonic and Shadow fought the monster. It attempted to smash Shadow, but the Ultimate Life-form teleported behind the monster and delivered a hard punch to the monster's head. Unfortunately, the monster wasn't affected by the attack. It spewed lava.

"Holy shit!", Shadow shouted. He and Sonic ran from the monster.

"Overheat, kill them!", Thunder Clap bellowed. The monster, Overheat, chased the hedgehogs while Rainbow Dash and Thunder Clap continued to fight in the air. "You cannot erase the past, Dash! You turned me into this! I am who I am today because of you! You should've..." Rainbow Dash socked Thunder Clap in the face. "AGH!"

"You should learn to keep your mouth shut!", Rainbow Dash retorted. She grabbed the filly and choked her. Thunder Clap then punched Rainbow Dash, releasing her grip. They traded blows in the air.

Rainbow Dash ultimately defeated Thunder Clap by damaging her flight suit. Through the visor, an error message flashed. WARNING. CRITICAL DAMAGE. Thunder Clap fell into the volcano. Rainbow Dash flew off after Overheat. Unbeknownst to her, Thunder Clap survived the fall. Despite her flight suit malfunctioning, she managed to fly off after Rainbow Dash. "Stupid Pegasus..." After a while, the flight suit completely shut down. Scootaloo passed out. All around her, the forest was starting to catch fire because of Overheat. A evil smile touched her face as the chase continued.

As the hedgehogs continued to run from Overheat, they also needed to rescue several animals. "We need to get that World Ring!", Sonic shouted. He climbed up a tree and leaped at the monster. He hitched a ride on Rainbow Dash and grabbed the Red Ring, which was lodged into the monster's back. His eyes turned red as he put the Red Ring on his right wrist. He leaped off of Rainbow Dash and delivered a powerful punch to Overheat's jaw. He landed on another tree and faced off with Overheat. Both World Rings glowed white as Sonic glared at the monster.

As the fight raged on, more and more of the forest continued to burn down. Shadow and Rainbow Dash continued to rescue the animals. Sonic leaped across the treetops as he avoided the fire attacks. He then noticed the boat... on the water. He leaped towards the boat with the monster still in pursuit. He leaped into the water. Overheat did the same. However, the monster solidified and crumbled on the ocean floor. However, Sonic started to drown. Not even the World Rings could save him from the water. Suddenly, Rainbow Dash grabbed the unconscious hedgehog and flew out of the water. She landed near Shadow. "I'll heal him. You go put the animals back to where they belong", Shadow said. Rainbow Dash obeyed. "I hope this works. I can't lose him." Closing his eyes, Shadow placed his hand on Sonic's chest and his connection with Sonic allowed him to heal the blue hedgehog. Sonic regained consciousness and Shadow hugged him.

"Alright. All the animals are safe", Rainbow Dash said. Suddenly, Thunder Clap screamed and tackled her former mentor. The two Pegasi traded blows as they rolled across the ground. Suddenly, Sonic grabbed Thunder Clap and threw her into the forest... where some very angry animals were waiting with various weapons including submachine guns, BFG 9000s, chainsaws, rocket launchers, and doom-blades.

"Oh, poop", Thunder Clap said.

"YOU'VE COME TO THE WRONG NEIGHBORHOOD, SUCKA!", a rabbit bellowed. The animals attacked. Thunder Clap's screams could be heard from far away. Sonic proudly grinned. Shadow laughed. Rainbow Dash started up the boat. The trio left the island.

"What is the island's name, anyway?", Shadow asked.

"Island Doom Crossing", Rainbow Dash answered.

"Why is it called that?", Sonic asked. As if on cue, back on the island, the Doom Slayer arrived with his own BFG 9000.

"What the- Oh, for f-", Thunder Clap began to say. Doom Slayer fired before the villain could finish.

"Oh. That's why", Sonic said.

"Damn", Shadow said.

At a graveyard...

"Whoa. This place is creepy", Sonic said in an oddly deep voice. Shadow and Rainbow Dash were staring at him with terror in their eyes. "What?" Sonic looked at his hands. He had turned into his Werehog form. "Gah! What the hell?!"

"So, you do have a dark form. Interesting", Shadow said. Sonic howled.

"The sooner we find that White Ring, the better", Rainbow Dash said.

One of the graves were glowing. Rainbow Dash pulled the White Ring (feeling a surge of its power in the process) from its impact point. She put it on her right ankle. Suddenly, a giant cage encompassed the entire graveyard. Multiple skeletons emerged from the graves. "It's an arena fight!", Sonic shouted. A bruised and beaten Thunder Clap cackled evilly. Apparently, she survived the onslaught from the animals.

"No one will remember your names when I'm finished with you three! DESTROY THEM!", the crazed villain shrieked. The first wave of skeletons charged at the trio. Sonic roared and he and his allies charged at the skeletons. Bones flew as the two sides clashed. Sonic's enhanced strength really helped the heroes plow through their opponents. "SHIT!" The second wave of skeletons arrived, but they were quickly destroyed as well as the third wave. Sonic's roar sent Thunder Clap flying. The beastly hedgehog ran on all fours towards the villain, who began to transform into a monster as well. Thunder Clap had turned into Ridley from the Metroid series. The villain shrieked and tackled the Werehog. The two monsters clashed.

"Sonic! Thunder Clap absorbed some of your dark energy! Take it back and you'll achieve full Werehog form!", Shadow shouted. However, Ridley began absorbing more of Sonic's dark energy, causing him to transform back into his regular hedgehog form. In desperation, Shadow tossed a ring. Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Silver, Vector, Espio, Charmy, Blaze, Sonia, Manic, Maria, and E-123 Omega all came through.

"Wow. How did you summon them all at once?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"I'm almost always one step ahead", Shadow said. He looked at Maria, who was now a yellow hedgehog. Rainbow Dash was awestruck at the human-turned-hedgehog. "Welcome back... old friend."

"PINGAS", E-123 Omega said.

"That's our brother you're messing with!", Sonia and Manic shouted.

"Time for a burning punishment!", Blaze shouted.

"TEAM CHAOTIX!", the detectives chanted.

"The future tells me that YOU'RE GOING DOWN!", Sliver said.

"Time to end this!", Knuckles bellowed.

"I'm gonna knock some sense into ya!", Amy yelled.

"Let's do this!", Tails said. Team Sonic charged towards Ridley. As they attacked the monster, its dark energy transferred over to Sonic, who began to transform into his Werehog form. In no time at all, Sonic was fully powered up. Sonic then smashed Ridley into the ground, turning the villain back into Thunder Clap... but something was wrong with her. Shadow sensed the energy pulsating from Thunder Clap.

"Puny mortals. Did you honestly think that I was Scootaloo?", Thunder Clap asked. "Think again." The imposter revealed his true self. "I... am... X! But everyone calls me Sonic.EXE." Everyone looked from X to Sonic. X had bleeding black and red eyes, a very wide grin, and sharp bloodstained teeth. Sonic roared loudly, sending a shock wave towards X, who was blown back.

"Everyone, stay back! It's time to show this monster what the real Sonic can do!", Sonic bellowed. In terms of height, Sonic in his Werehog form was twice as tall as X. "Prepare to be ripped apart!" Claws extended from Sonic's fingers. His teeth grew sharper until they were sharper than the sharpest knives. His eyes were as red as lava.

"You think you can defeat a god?", X asked.

"No. But I can try!", Sonic answered in an extremely dark voice. Sonic went all-out, slashing and kicking at his foe, who took heavy damage. An enraged Rainbow Dash joined her husband in attacking X. The villain was forced to flee. Sonic reverted back to his original form. The Mobians cheered for the couple.

Meanwhile, X had found an extremely weakened Lightning Dust. She was alive, but just barely. Her bloodshot eyes shot open and she screamed in anger. Literal lightning struck the villain and revived her. Electricity crackled throughout her body. "I AM A GOD!!!", Lightning shrieked. "THE POWER IS MINE!!!" At incredible speed, the super-charged villain flew off into the distance, with X following her. "TIME FOR MY ULTIMATE REVENGE!!!" Suddenly, she spotted something. It was the Purple Ring. "Yes... yes... YES!!! FINALLY!!! MY POWERS ARE UPGRADING!!! ALL WILL FEAR US AS THE EMPEROR AND EMPRESS OF EQUESTRIA!!!" She cackled maniacally. The ring was put on X's neck. "If you get killed, the power will be transferred over to Sonic. If that happens, then I will track him and his army down. He really messed up this time."

"He's got quite an army. I can't fight him alone. Are you sure this power will be enough?", X asked.

"Go to the Well of Shade. That place is filled with dark power. You should be able to destroy Sonic and his allies if they find you", Lightning Dust answered.

On Mobius...

Sonic and Rainbow Dash were with their daughter. Tails had taken good care of Kokiri. However, Rainbow Dash was worried about the real Scootaloo. What if Lightning Dust or X had killed her? She couldn't bear the thought of losing the only pony that felt like family to her. Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice. "RAINBOW DASH!!!" An orange and purple blur zoomed into Rainbow Dash's arms and hugged her tightly. Sonic and Kokiri turned towards the sound to find the real Scootaloo hugging Rainbow Dash. Tears welled up in Rainbow Dash's eyes as she returned the embrace.

"I can't believe you're alive", Rainbow Dash said through tears. "I thought you joined Lightning Dust."

"Of course not! She nearly got me killed!", Scootaloo replied. Shadow entered the house. Sonic looked from his dark counterpart to the orange filly. Somehow, Shadow had found Scootaloo. The filly's eyes then drifted to Kokiri. She let go of her older sister and walked over to the baby hedge-pony. "Is that... my honorary niece?"

"Yes. This is Kokiri Sonic Dash", Rainbow Dash answered. Suddenly, Shadow had a look of horror on his face.

"The final World Ring... X has it!", Shadow said. Rainbow Dash shared a look with her adopted younger sister.

"Wanna get some revenge?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"Hell, yeah", Scootaloo answered. They hoof-bumped. "Where is X?"

"At the Well of Shade", Shadow answered.

"Alright, then. Let's go!", Sonic said. After putting Kokiri in a crib, Sonic, Shadow, Scootaloo, and Rainbow Dash ran off.

At the Well of Shade...

"Ah... yes... come meet your demise, mortals. I am God. I am everything you were afraid of", X said. Suddenly, the Pony of Shadows emerged from a portal. It bound itself with X. "Yes... more power... I have never felt such power!" He cackled maniacally.

Back on Mobius...

Once the foursome were far enough away from their friends, Sonic threw a ring, creating a portal to the Well of Shade, or rather, the area above it. They walked through the portal. It closed behind them. "X! We know you're here! Face us, coward!", Shadow shouted. Nothing. "Hmmm... need to make it more personal... MY, PINGAS, IS, BIGGER, THAN, YOURS!" Suddenly, they fell through the ground and into the Well of Shade.

"WHAT THE HELL YOU SAY TO ME?!", X screamed. "I'll have you know I was called Big Dick Boy in high school and all the dudes respected me. If you want challenge that fact go right ahead bro. I'll slap you... oh."

"Ha! You got... PRANKED!", Shadow shouted in amusement. X glared at the laughing black hedgehog and his allies.

"The Pony of Shadows!", Rainbow Dash said in alarm. "I thought we destroyed him!"

"Well, you thought wrong, because we are one!", X responded. "You're playing with fire, you meddling kids! PREPARE TO MEET YOUR ENDS!" X attacked with a beam of dark magic, but everyone (except Shadow, who was still laughing) dodged the attack. Suddenly, Sonic dropped a radio. As a matter of fact, it was a radio from Bendy and the Ink Machine, capable of playing any Bendy song. He turned some dials and threw the radio down the corridor.

No matter what the heroes did, they couldn't even touch X. He was powered by the Purple Ring, which is infused with the emotion of sadness. Suddenly, Sonic went inside the Pony of Shadows to face off with his doppelganger. Sonic and X fought for the Purple Ring, trading blows and biting each other. "You can't defeat me! I am your superior!", X bellowed. Sonic grabbed his doppelganger's neck and threw him out of the shadow. Sonic followed and grabbed the Purple Ring. He put it around his neck. All seven World Rings started glowing as Sonic and Rainbow Dash started hovering. They unleashed a rainbow of power. The shadow retreated, and X finally met his demise. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

As the smoke cleared, Sonic and Rainbow Dash were out of breath. They saw X's corpse... and smiled in relief. The foe has been vanquished. "Come on. We have to defeat Lightning Dust", Rainbow Dash said. As if on cue, an enormous bolt of lightning struck the well. A pony emerged from the bolt. Lightning Dust was an Alicorn now. She blasted her foes, but Sonic and Rainbow Dash absorbed the attack.

"Huh. Am I crazy? This is supposed to destroy you guys, right?", a confused Lightning Dust asked. The couple, Shadow, and Scootaloo grinned smugly. Suddenly, Scootaloo's expression grew dark as she landed a hard punch to Lightning's face, sending the villain flying down the corridor. She assumed a racer stance. She rolled up into a ball and, at supersonic speed, rolled towards Lightning, striking her again and again and again. After 59 hits, Lightning was looking banged up. Sonic's jaw dropped open, and Rainbow Dash closed it for him.

"Wow! How did you do that?!", Sonic asked.

"My dear Sonic, I am a huge fan of your franchise. I picked up a thing or two after watching your movie", Scootaloo answered. However, Lightning Dust stood up and healed herself. She glared angrily at the heroes. Suddenly, a ladder dropped down through the hole in the ceiling. The heroes climbed on and the craft, piloted by Dr. Eggman, flew off.

Dr. Eggman dropped the heroes off at Twilight's castle with Lightning Dust hot on their heels. "Twilight! Put this castle on ultimate lockdown now!", Sonic yelled. Twilight obeyed. Sonic took out the Arabian Nights book and started to open it, but Lightning Dust grabbed the book and tossed it aside. Spike used his fire breath, but Lightning wasn't even fazed. She conjured up a kill spell and aimed at Twilight. She fired. However, a rainbow streak zipped past Twilight.

When the smoke cleared, Sonic and his allies all stood up. Sonic looked around and saw his wife... dead. She sacrificed herself to save Twilight. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!", Sonic screamed. Lightning had already absorbed the seven World Rings. She blasted Sonic across the room. She then mercilessly beat Sonic and the others.

"BOW! BOW BEFORE YOUR NEW EMPRESS!", Lightning Dust shrieked. The heroes, except for Sonic, obeyed. "I am Alf Layla wa-Layla! I AM EQUESTRIA! I will be its new creator! I will remake this world and this reality in my own image, and there's nothing you can do about it!" Tears ran down the Blue Blur's eyes as he held his dead wife and hugged her. Suddenly, Sonic's eyes shot open with anger. The World Rings of Hatred, Rage, and Sadness escaped Alf Layla wa-Layla's body and were absorbed into Sonic's body. His fur turned purple. He turned into... Darkspine Sonic. He rolled into a ball and hit Alf Layla wa-Layla. "What the hell?!"

"You've made a grave mistake, Alf Layla wa-Layla. Killing my wife. Mercilessly beating my friends. Well... it's time to end this!", Darkspine Sonic growled. He assumed a racer stance. Suddenly, Alf Layla wa-Layla enveloped the entire castle in darkness, unleashing several monsters. The heroes all assumed fighting stances.

After a long and destructive battle, the monsters were all destroyed. Darkspine Sonic glared at Alf Layla wa-Layla. "End this now, or else!"

"What a pest", Alf Layla wa-Layla said. She blasted Darkspine Sonic, but the invincible hedgehog felt no pain.

"BRING IT ON!", Darkspine Sonic bellowed.

Alf Layla wa-Layla attacked Darkspine Sonic with a Spirit Blast, but the purple hedgehog deflected it. "How's THAT for an introduction?", Darkspine Sonic asked. The deformed genie glared at the hero. She attempted to use a Darkness Slash on the others, but Darkspine Sonic sent them flying out of the darkened castle. Darkspine Sonic's fist turned into a flaming fist. He punched the villain, causing her to cry out in pain. "Feel the burn! Feel my ultimate wrath!" Darkspine Sonic used his super speed to rapidly hit his opponent. His enhanced strength made the punches more painful that usual.

"Pathetic. You cannot destroy me, Sonic. My destiny is to destroy Equestria and rebuild it as its new empress!", Alf Layla wa-Layla said.

"I won’t let that happen!", Darkspine Sonic yelled. He used his Speed Break and rammed into Alf Layla wa-Layla, causing one of the World Rings to fall out of her body. It was the Aqua Ring. "That's it!" He glared at his opponent. His fists were enveloped in flames and his Speed Break was still usable. He used his Speed Break and his flaming fists. He rapidly punched the villain, causing another one of the World Rings to fall out of her body, the Blue Ring. Suddenly, Alf Layla wa-Layla grabbed Darkspine Sonic and threw him. However, Darkspine Sonic stood his ground and landed another flaming punch. "If this is your world, then it's a world that I don't want any part of!" Darkspine Sonic then summoned a stream of fire from his hands, burning the monster and causing the White Ring to fall out of her body. "One left!" Darkspine Sonic charged his body up with fire and used his Speed Break to ram into Alf Layla wa-Layla, causing the Yellow Ring to fall out of her body. He absorbed the four other World Rings. "You see, Alf Layla wa-Layla, only I can properly wield the World Rings!" He charged up his Speed Break with the power of all seven World Rings. He rammed into Alf Layla wa-Layla one final time.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!", Alf Layla wa-Layla bellowed as she exploded in a blinding flash of light. The castle was in ruins.

When the smoke cleared, Darkspine Sonic picked up Rainbow Dash. He revived his wife with the power of the World Rings. Shadow, Scootaloo, Twilight, and Spike ran over to the couple. They walked away from the ruins. "Is it over?", Twilight asked. Suddenly, Lightning Dust, who was back to normal, crawled out of the debris. The rest of the Mane Six, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle ran over. Lightning Dust then appeared in front of the 12 heroes. Rainbow Dash and her rival locked eyes. The rest of the Mane Six, Spike, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders all joined her. Darkspine Sonic's fists were enveloped in flames. Shadow aimed a Thompson submachine gun. The 12 heroes all assumed fighting stances. They fought Lightning Dust.

Lightning Dust fell to the ground. She was no match for the 12 heroes in front of her. "No... I cannot lose this time...", Lightning Dust weakly said. "My future..."

"...is no more", Rainbow Dash bitterly finished as she knocked her rival out.

"Hmmm... you don't look half bad, Sonic!", Shadow praised.

"Indeed", Darkspine Sonic replied. "Now, it's time to return the World Rings back to the world of the Arabian Nights." Twilight used her magic to repair the castle.

Inside, Darkspine Sonic opened the book. He spoke an enchantment: "Ifalas zaras I e zaraq." The seven World Rings escaped Darkspine Sonic's body and he reverted back to his original form. The World Rings went into the book. He closed it.

"What do we do with Lightning Dust?", Sonic asked.

"You'll see", Rainbow Dash said.

"RIVALS FOR LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!!!!!!!", Lightning Dust shouted as she was shot out of Pinkie Pie's mega party cannon. She landed in Canterlot. She had a note attached to her head. "PLEASE ARREST ME. I AM VERY BAD PONY." The Canterlot Royal Guard arrived and, despite being confused by the note, arrested Lightning Dust.

Back in Ponyville, Sonic and Rainbow Dash saw the giant party cannon. "Oh", Sonic said. "Where did Pinkie Pie even get a party cannon that big?"

"Shhh... you ask too many questions, my dear Sonic", Pinkie Pie answered. She winked at him.

"So... did we win?", Sweetie Belle asked.

"Yeah. We won", Twilight answered. "Sonic completed his mission to obtain the seven World Rings."

"Now, it's time for me to go home", Sonic said. Suddenly, a ring portal opened and Tails stepped through with Kokiri.

"I can lead the group, Sonic. You deserve to be with Rainbow Dash and Kokiri", Tails said. He gave Kokiri to Sonic and went back through the portal. It closed behind him. Sonic turned to his wife and sang a song.

Chapter Two: The Infinite Saga

The Phantom Ruby, which was in a glass cage on Mobius, suddenly started glowing eerily. The glass cage shattered, and a shadow loomed over the guards. They fired tranquilizer darts, but the mysterious figure simply evaded them and unleashed a powerful wave of energy. "Both X and Lightning Dust failed me. I'll destroy Equestria myself", the mysterious figure growled. He broke out of the room. More guards entered the room.

"Fire at will!", the lead guard, whose face was hidden behind a mask, shouted. The others obeyed, but the figure wasn't even fazed. The lead guard removed his helmet, revealing himself to be Shadow the Hedgehog. "Infinite. Looks like you finally decided to appear." Infinite attacked the black hedgehog, but Shadow was able to teleport away.

Back in Cloudsdale...

Kokiri was learning how to be a superhero like her father. Rainbow Dash was with the rest of the Mane Six. Suddenly, a ring portal opened in front of Sonic. An unconscious Tails, who was injured very badly, was hurled through the portal. "TAILS!", Sonic screamed. Kokiri heard her father scream and flew to his side. The portal closed. Tears welled in Sonic's eyes as he hugged his best friend tightly. He saw a strand of black fur on Tails's back. Kokiri grabbed it. She gave it to Sonic. It wasn't a quill... and it smelled like wet dog. "Infinite the Jackal." Sonic ran back to the Cloudiminium at supersonic speed. He tucked his unconscious friend into bed then ran back to his daughter... who was captured by Infinite. An enraged Sonic activated the Chaos Emeralds and transformed into SuperSonic. However, he used them again, transforming into Hyper Sonic. He was now a multicolored hedgehog... and much stronger. "Hands. Off. Now." The rapidly changing colors blinded Infinite. When he closed his eyes, Kokiri bit the villain.

"ARGH! You bothersome pest! I will kill you!", Infinite bellowed. However, Kokiri was too quick to catch, let alone attack. She rolled into a ball and rolled onto Infinite's left foot, causing him to scream in pain.

"How unfortunate. You're dealing with the daughter of the FASTEST HEDGEHOG ALIVE and the FASTEST PEGASUS ALIVE. I am Kokiri the Hedgepony!", Kokiri monologued as she tied the villain up using vines. "Now, Dad!" Hyper Sonic unleashed a barrage of punches on the villain. However, Infinite broke through the vines and stabbed Hyper Sonic in the heart, causing the hero to turn into SuperSonic.

"Ha! You can't kill-", Sonic started to say until he got stabbed again, reverting back to his original form. "Shoot."

"It is time to put an end to this!", Infinite bellowed. Using the power of the Phantom Ruby, he created a double-edged sword... and prepared to attacked his foes.

Suddenly, a blast of magic disarmed Infinite. Twilight then flew towards him and delivered a powerful punch to the villain's face. Applejack tied him up with a lasso. Fluttershy's animal friends tightened the lasso so he wouldn't escape. Pinkie Pie launched Rainbow Dash from a party cannon. The rainbow-maned hero rolled into a ball and hit him in the neck, causing his mask to fall off. Rarity used her magic to choke him, and Spike used his fire breath to set the alien jackal on fire. Suddenly, Infinite unleashed a powerful wave of energy and broke free of his restraints. He also absorbed the flames. He put his mask back on. "Now... let's try this again", Infinite said. Suddenly, a black and red streak of speed sideswiped Infinite.

"Careful. That's my goddaughter you're trying to kill", Shadow said. After the showdown with Alf Layla wa-Layla, Shadow became Kokiri's godfather. He rolled into a ball and hit Infinite in the stomach. The Mane Six, Spike, Sonic, Shadow, and Kokiri all took turns attacking Infinite, but the villain was way too strong. He flew upwards.

"You pathetic vermin are nothing to me. It's time to die!", Infinite shouted. Using the power of the Phantom Ruby, he unleashed a deadly wave of energy. Twilight shot a beam of magic and it collided with the wave. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU ARE TOO WEAK!" And he was right. She couldn't keep the wave from hitting her and her friends. They all felt weaker. "Looks like I win. Now, it's time to finish you all!" Suddenly, Sonic pulled the dagger from his chest and threw it at Infinite. It hit the villain's left eye. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Infinite retreated.

"If there's one thing I know about Infinite, it's that he will be back. We need help", Shadow said. "Hey... I have an idea. Twilight, didn't the Legion of Doom get turned to stone?"

"Yeah, why?", Twilight responded.

"We could use their help", Shadow replied.

"Absolutely not. Those three are the most evil creatures Equestria has ever seen! Unless... we can reform them", Twilight responded.

At the statue...

"Wow! That looks cool!", Kokiri said.

"Each of the villains will go through a trial to allow them to reform. They don't understand friendship, so these trials will show them what friendship is all about", Twilight explained. She blasted the statue to bits, sending three wisps of energy into the air. They headed off in different directions. The pink wisp (resembling Cozy Glow) headed towards a house, the red wisp (resembling Lord Tirek) headed towards a distant land, and the green wisp (resembling Queen Chrysalis) headed towards the Changeling Kingdom. "The trials... have begun. The penalty for failing them... is death. There's no escape from these trials. I am pulling out all the stops. The fate of Equestria is on the line. Maybe this is a mistake. Maybe we're being foolish. But one thing's for certain. We need all the help we can get."

Cozy Glow landed hard on the ground in front of Diamond Tiara's house. "What the hell is this?!", Cozy Glow angrily asked. A certain pink Earth pony filly walked over. "Who are you?!"

"Someone who understands your pain", Diamond Tiara answered.

"You don't know anything about me", Cozy Glow bitterly replied.

"No... but they do", Diamond Tiara responded. Three familiar fillies walked over.

"YOU THREE!", Cozy Glow bellowed. She lunged for the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but in midair, she was supernaturally electrocuted by an unknown force. "I suddenly feel fu-u-u-nky..." The four other fillies backed up. A ghostly image of Twilight Sparkle appeared.

"Cozy Glow, you have been chosen to help save Equestria. However, you must first understand what friendship is. This is a trial. Make friends with someone and you will finish the trial. Fail the trial... and you die. You fake the friendship, you die. I do NOT care that you're a filly", the ghost said... with dark red eyes.

"That's really dark", Scootaloo said. The ghost disappeared in a shower of flames. Suddenly, Infinite arrived. It didn't take a genius to know that it was Infinite who was addressing the villainous filly.

"Well, well, well. Five little fillies ripe for the taking", he said. Diamond Tiara used her tiara like a boomerang and threw it at Infinite. It threw the villain off balance and he fell to the ground.

"I don't think this is part of the trial! RUN!", Apple Bloom said. All five fillies ran for their lives, though Diamond Tiara ran into her house. Sweetie Belle blasted Infinite with her magic, to no avail.

"Chaos Control!", Shadow shouted as he flew over and roundhouse kicked Infinite (who was frozen in midair). The black hedgehog glared as his old foe. "Have you no heart?! These are fillies! Young ponies that can't defend themselves! Even worse, Scootaloo CAN'T FLY! You're a heartless monster with no sense of compassion and love!" He delivered a hard punch to the villain's stomach. He then summoned the Chaos Emeralds and activated his SuperShadow form. "Chaos Control!" He blasted Infinite, sending him flying into oblivion... or so he thought. Infinite flew towards the hedgehog and the two fought in the air. Cozy Glow looked at the Cutie Mark Crusaders... and remembered how they helped her. They were... her friends, until she betrayed them. She wore a look of determination. She held out her hoof to Apple Bloom, the leader of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

"Let's end this... together", she said softly. Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle all took Cozy Glow's hoof. All four fillies looked up into the sky and saw SuperShadow fighting a loosing battle. "Alright, I have an idea! But you HAVE to listen carefully!!!" Because of the time crunch, she spoke EXTREMELY FAST.

"Oh, I guess that makes sense", Apple Bloom said.

"WHAT?!?!?!", Scootaloo asked.

"What the fuck are you talking about?", Sweetie Belle asked.

Meanwhile, the jackal relentlessly pummeled SuperShadow. "I AM NOT WEAK!", Infinite screamed as he delivered one final punch, reverting the black hedgehog back to his original form. "Worthless. Don't show your pathetic face around me ever again." As he prepared to kill Shadow, Cozy Glow delivered a shockingly powerful kick to Infinite's groin. "AND I (HOLY SHIT!) WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! (I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THIS TO ME, GODDAMMIT! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!)" The angered jackal glared at the pink filly. "You will pay with your life!" Thanks to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Cozy Glow had achieved her final form: Cozycorn. "Uh... prepare for trouble... you... uh... SHIT!" Infinite ran... but he was quickly captured by Cozycorn's magic. She attempted to tear apart Infinite, but she couldn't do that at the time. Scootaloo (rolled into a ball) was then shot out of a cannon and hit Infinite, sending the villain flying. Suddenly, the villain disappeared. Shadow stood up and clumsily wobbled over to Cozycorn and the Crusaders.

"That was a fake", Shadow said.

"A fake? How?", Cozycorn asked as she used her magic to help Shadow stand.

"Infinite can create virtual reality projections. They have mass and form, but no heart and soul", Shadow answered. "The problem is, they may not be real, but their powers are as formidable as the originals. According to my friend Rouge, Infinite can create unlimited numbers of them."

"So, fight after fight, he can just keep cranking up counterfeits?", Apple Bloom asked.

"Exactly", Shadow answered. "As it stands, there's no way we can win this, even with Cozy's powers. I'm the ultimate life-form, and not even I could defeat the fake."

"We defeated him because we outnumbered him", Sweetie Belle said. Suddenly, Eggman appeared with an Egg Dragoon. The real Twilight Sparkle appeared.

"To complete the trial, you must destroy this Egg Dragoon!", she said. "It represents the absolute pinnacle of mad science! Thanks for helping with this trial, Eggman!"

"Haha! No problem! We're both scientists, so we tend to think alike!", Eggman replied. He fired missiles from the right arm, but Cozycorn used her magic to stop them in midair. She sent the missiles flying back and they hit the Egg Dragoon. The drill arm extended and nearly hit the filly. She blasted the Egg Dragoon with her magic five times. "Alright, then! Time to shift into maximum overdrive!" Rockets shot out from the right arm. Cozycorn dodged them and blasted the Egg Dragoon three more times with her magic, causing the Egg Dragoon to blow up. Fortunately, Eggman was okay.

"Congratulations, Cozy Glow. You made a friend- three, actually- and defeated the Trial Boss!", Twilight said.

"Uh... how are we gonna clean this mess up?", Eggman asked. Twilight used her magic to send the mechanical trash to Sonic's world. Orbot and Cubot floated over.

"We've got bad news!", Orbot said.

"Infinite was seen heading towards Tirek's land!", Cubot added.

"It's another fake", Shadow said. He zipped off. Twilight, Eggman (who was piloting an egg-shaped aircraft), Orbot, and Cubot flew towards the distant land where Tirek came from. Cozycorn flew towards Twilight's castle where the rest of the Mane Six, Spike, Sonic, Shadow, and Kokiri were waiting.

Tirek crash-landed in his homeland. Unfortunately, Infinite was already there. "Ah. You look... weak. You will be easy to defeat", Infinite said. Suddenly, Twilight, Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot arrived. While Twilight fought Infinite, Eggman faced Tirek.

"Lord Tirek, you have been chosen to help save Equestria. However, you must first understand what friendship is. This is a trial. Make friends with someone and you will finish the trial. Fail the trial... and you die. You fake the friendship, you die", the mad scientist said.

"Holy cow. You really need to loose some weight!", Tirek replied. Orbot and Cubot couldn't help but laugh. Suddenly, a figure flew towards Twilight and Infinite (who were still fighting). The figure, a gargoyle, punched Infinite in the stomach. "That's... that's my brother!" Eggman looked from Scorpan to Tirek.

"You two look nothing alike!", Eggman said in confusion. Infinite then knocked Scorpan out of the sky. The gargoyle landed on the ground hard.

"No!", Tirek shouted. His anger allowed him to grow stronger. He ran over to his defeated brother.

Meanwhile, Twilight was still fighting Infinite. "You're as weak as the black hedgehog. You shall suffer a terrible fate", Infinite said. "Now, come and face the inevitable."

"The only thing inevitable here is my hoof kicking your butt", Twilight replied as she blasted her foe with magic. Suddenly, something hit Infinite. It was Orbot in his spherical form... thrown by Tirek. Scorpan threw Cubot in his cubic form and the yellow robot also hit Infinite. Scorpan allowed Tirek to absorb his strength, causing the centaur to achieve his final form.

"Oh, you've gotta be KIDDING ME!", Infinite angrily said. Tirek flicked the villain away. Suddenly, the villain disappeared.

"That was a fake", Eggman said.

"A fake? How?", Twilight asked.

He then delivered an uppercut to the robot's face. "Not bad. But don't think this will be an easy task! This robot is hard-boiled!" The robot shot lasers out of its eyes. However, Lord Tirek simply walked towards the robot and delivered a right hook to the robot's head. He delivered two more punches to the robot's arms. "Agh!" Another punch to the robot's head caused the head to spin. The jetpack activated and the robot took to the sky. However, Lord Tirek grabbed the robot's arms and ripped them off, causing it to malfunction. It landed in front of Lord Tirek. He pushed the robot, causing it to fall backwards. He ripped off the legs and head. He delivered one final punch to the center, causing the robot to shut down. Eggman ran out.

"Whoa! This guy looks tough!", Sonic said in amazement.

"Okay. That's two villains reformed. Now... the hardest one: Queen Chrysalis", Spike said. "She is an embodiment of pure evil, so reforming her will be a difficult challenge. If Twilight, Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot manage to reform her, then that's good. If not... well, let's just say that we're all gonna be screwed." Spike flew off.

Chrysalis landed in the Changeling Kingdom. "What is this?!", she asked angrily. She looked around at her former home. Twilight, Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot arrived. The queen glared at her archenemy. "YOU!" She blasted magic at Twilight, who intercepted with her own magic.

"Queen Chrysalis, you have been chosen to help save Equestria. However, you must first understand what friendship is. This is a trial. Make friends with someone and you will finish the trial. Fail the trial... and you die. You fake the friendship, you die", Twilight said.

"Like hell I would help save Equestria! I despise it!", Chrysalis roared. Suddenly, Infinite blasted Twilight and Chrysalis.

"Pathetic fools", Infinite said. "I'm going to enjoy squashing you like bugs!" Suddenly, Thorax tackled the villain.

"Choose your next words WISELY", the king said as more changelings appeared. "We bugs have a hive mind." However, the alien jackal simply send the changelings flying back into the hive.

"ALRIGHT, THAT'S IT!", Sonic bellowed as he appeared from literally out of nowhere and pummeled Infinite with a look of revenge on his face. "You think you can just come to Equestria, MY NEW HOME, and just destroy EVERYTHING?!"

"It seems you forgot that I am the ultimate mercenary!", Infinite retorted. "I can't wait to tear you apart!" Suddenly, a horn pierced Infinite's body.

"That's for calling me a bug", Chrysalis growled. Suddenly, Infinite disappeared. "He just disappeared."

"Yeah, no shit!", Twilight said in the background.

"That was a fake", Sonic said.

"A fake? How?", Chrysalis asked.

"Infinite can create virtual reality projections. They have mass and form, but no heart and soul", Sonic answered. "The problem is, they may not be real, but their powers are as formidable as the originals. According to Rouge, Infinite can create unlimited numbers of them."

"Well... you're an interesting creature. You and I are not so different", Chrysalis said. Suddenly, a large robotic Purple Wisp with sharp pointed spines along the body and a large one over the cockpit, clear colored frowning eyes, a large razor sharped mouth with two sharp spines on either side facing upright, a cannon inside that fires purple spikes, small stubby legs around the front and sides, a long tail out the back, and two large tentacles with sharp pincers on each end appeared behind Chrysalis.

"What's that?!", Twilight asked in amazement.

"The Nega-Wisp Armor!", Eggman answered. Sonic, thinking that Eggman was up to no good, was about to attack the armor, but Twilight used her magic to stop the hedgehog. It took her about five minutes to explain what was going on. Chrysalis achieved her final form: Ultimate Chrysalis. Blue cubes surrounded Ultimate Chrysalis, creating a cage around her. She used her magic to break out. One of the cubes hit the armor, though little damage was dealt. Pink spikes formed around the armor and it turned into a sphere. It rolled towards Ultimate Chrysalis, but she used her magic to deflect it and it hit various rocks like it was a pinball. A cyan laser fired from the right tentacle. Ultimate Chrysalis dodged it... and it hit Orbot, sending the robot flying into the armor, though he was okay. "Not bad! But let's see how you do against THIS!" More blue cubes surrounded Ultimate Chrysalis, trapping her. Pink spikes formed around the armor and it turned into a sphere once again. It rolled towards Ultimate Chrysalis, but she used her magic to slow it down. The aforementioned cubes then spread out. A cyan laser fired from the left tentacle and refracted from one cube into another. The laser almost hit Ultimate Chrysalis, but thanks to some quick thinking, she rotated the final cube so the laser would head towards the armor. The armor was destroyed by the laser, and Eggman was sent flying. Orbot and Cubot flew after the scientist.

"Congratulations, Chrysalis. You made a friend- with Sonic, no less- and defeated the Trial Boss!", Twilight said. She used her magic to send the mechanical trash to Sonic's world. Eggman landed nearby. Suddenly, the sky turned dark. "Let's go back to the castle."

Back at the castle, the Mane Six, Sonic, Shadow, Kokiri, the Legion of Doom, Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot were all in the throne room. "Infinite sent those... things to distract us. If we want to save Equestria, then we'll need to send Infinite back to Mobius. However, he's gained too much power here", Twilight said. "We need to weaken him somehow."

"I don't like this. I think Eggman's up to no good again", Sonic said.

"I don't like working with my most hated enemy any more than you do, but Equestria is at stake!", Eggman replied.

"Pffft, yeah, well, teaming up with you feels like the end of the world, Eggman. I'm gonna want to take a long shower by the time we're done", Sonic responded.

"Wait. I thought water was your weakness", Ultimate Chrysalis said in confusion.

"Listen, Sonic. I don't like working with Eggman any more than you do. But he's as smart as Twilight, so he can be very helpful", Shadow said.

"Anyways, someone or something is giving Infinite power. Equestria's Magic isn't just something you take normally. It's acquired through magical means", Twilight said.

"And I know who it is: the Deadly Six", Eggman replied.

"Seriously?!", Sonic asked in annoyance.

"Who are the Deadly Six?", Shadow asked.

"Zazz, Zomom, Master Zik, Zeena, Zor, and Zavok are part of an alien race called Zeti", Sonic explained.

"Impressive", a voice said. The newly formed team (called the Resistance) turned to face Infinite. "They've been a huge help to me, and thanks to them, my illusions are stronger than ever!" He created multiple copies of himself to fight the Resistance... except for Kokiri. "This is gonna be fun. You're weak, pathetic, and all alone. I will enjoy destroying you. Now, die!"

"Kokiri, listen! You have 3 minutes and 15 seconds to take down Infinite!", Sonic said.

Without hesitation, Kokiri rammed into Infinite three times, sending both the hero and villain flying out of the castle. Infinite created multiple clones of Metal Sonic. The clones all activated their V. Maximum Overdrive Attack sequences. "TARGET LOCK", the clones said in unison. However, since they were all locking in on Kokiri, she simply flew upwards, causing the clones to crash into each other. She then rammed into Infinite three more times.

"You're done for, Kokiri. The Phantom Ruby's energy is recharged thanks to the Deadly Six", Infinite said. "Perish, along with your useless friends and family!" Suddenly, Gadget the Wolf shot his grappling hook at Infinite. Infinite dodged and glared at Gadget, who scowled right back. "You!"

"Nice to meet you, Kokiri! I'm Gadget, one of your dad's friends!", Gadget said to the hedge-pony. He had a jetpack. "We've got two minutes left! Let's show him what we've got!" Infinite created more clones of Metal Sonic. The clones all activated their V. Maximum Overdrive Attack sequences.

"That's annoying", Kokiri said. Gadget used his Wispon to blast the clones into next week. Kokiri rammed into Infinite three more times.

"Enough! I'll do it myself!", Infinite shouted angrily as he flew towards Kokiri. He and the hedge-pony fought in the air, trading blows. Suddenly, Infinite was electrocuted by Gadget. Kokiri rammed into Infinite three more times, making the villain weaker.

"One minute left!", Gadget shouted. With no time to waste, Kokiri rammed into Infinite three more times. Electricity crackled through her body as she rammed into Infinite one more time. The villain fell to the ground. His clones all disappeared.

"Impossible. I cannot be defeated again!", Infinite said.

"Wrong, loser! The things that can't be defeated are heart, soul, and the bonds of friendship. Three things you and your counterfeit cronies lack!", Kokiri said. The Phantom Ruby started floating. However, Gadget grabbed it and crushed it to bits. Infinite screamed in pain as he exploded in a blinding flash of light.

Suddenly, Master Zik walked into the throne room. "Master Zik! What are you and your cronies doing here?" Twilight asked in anger.

"It's quite simple, really", Zik answered. "Me and my crew need more power. It was Zavok who introduced us to Infinite. He caught wind of what Infinite tried to do and decided to help him." The rest of the Deadly Six walked into the room and faced the rest of the Mane Six. Sonic looked from the Deadly Six to the Mane Six.

"Hmmm... very interesting", Sonic said.

"I'll rip your little orange body apart", Zavok said.

"I'd like to see you try", Applejack replied.

"You look delicious", Zomom said.

"Eek!", Fluttershy replied.

"You look happy. I hate happy", Zor said.

"I'll make you eat your words!", Pinkie replied.

"I'm gonna rip you to shreds!", Zazz shouted.

"I'm too fast to even touch!", Rainbow Dash retorted.

"Beauty is only a word", Zeena said.

"How dare you!", Rarity replied.

Master Zik waved his cane, causing six portals to appear. The Mane Six and their Deadly Six foes were each forced into a portal. "No!", Sonic shouted. The elderly Zeti then sent Eggman and the robots flying, but Sonic threw a ring, which opened a portal sending the trio back to Mobius. The Legion of Doom ran off before they could get taken. Only Sonic, Shadow, Gadget, and Kokiri remained.

"We have to go after them!", Gadget said.

"We don't even know where they went", Shadow replied.

"Damn it!", Gadget responded.

"So, now what?", Kokiri asked.

"We... just wait, I guess. The Deadly Six have the Mane Six, but the Mane Six are formidable warriors", Sonic answered. "I'm just glad you're safe, Kokiri. You handled yourself pretty well against Infinite."

Chapter Three: The Deadly Six Saga

In Cloudsdale, one of the portals opened. Rainbow Dash flew out. She checked on Tails, who was still asleep. She locked her bedroom door and window to make sure Zazz didn't try to get an unsuspecting Tails. Suddenly, the Moon Mech arrived through the portal. "I've been itching for a fight all day!", Zazz shouted. Rainbow Dash flew towards the Moon Mech and kicked it three times, sending Zazz flying out. She punched the villain twice in midair. Zazz used his magnetic powers to fly towards the Moon Mech. "I'm gonna enjoy ripping the flesh from your bones!" However, the Moon Mech received three more kicks. Zazz leaped out but got punched two more times in midair. The Moon Mech was sent plummeting to the ground. "Catch me if you can, little pony!" Zazz leaped from building to building until he made it to the Weather Factory. "Ooh, that rotten Rainbow Dash! I'm gonna take this pony down! Or the gang will harass me 'till I'M blue!" Rainbow Dash then arrived. "You're going home in a box!" He grabbed Rainbow Dash and repeatedly punched her in the face. "Not so fun, is it?!" He then smashed her into the ground and stomped on her. He then grabbed a box and stuffed her inside. He threw it out of the Weather Factory and it was sent plummeting to the ground. "Finally!" However, in midair, the box ripped open and Rainbow Dash flew upwards.

"Target lock!", she shouted as she flew towards Zazz, creating a Sonic Rainboom in the process. She relentlessly pummeled Zazz and tossed him into a cloud.

"I'm gonna skin you alive!", Zazz yelled. He used his long arms to grab Rainbow Dash's wings and pulled on them. Rainbow Dash screamed in pain. However, Zazz's arms weren't strong enough to rip Rainbow Dash's wings off. Rainbow Dash kicked Zazz, freeing herself. She flew high into the sky and then started plummeting towards Zazz, creating another Sonic Rainboom in the process. She relentlessly pummeled Zazz and smashed him into the ground, defeating him."I can't believe it! Me, a Zeti, losing to a pony! A PONY! A LITTLE GIRL'S TOY!" A portal appeared under him and he fell through. He landed in the castle. "Damn it!" Rainbow Dash followed.

"I'm no little girl's toy. I am Rainbow Dash, the fastest pony in Equestria!", Rainbow Dash said.

Near Fluttershy's cottage, Fluttershy ran out. She was being chased by Zomom. "I'll bet all that I can stomach you, nasty pest! I'm gonna eat you raw, and use your stupid feathers as toothpicks!", the gluttonous Zeti said. Fluttershy climbed up a tree. "Hey, get down from there!" He shook the tree, causing Fluttershy to fly off. She dove towards Zomom and punched him twice. However, Zomom swatted the Pegasus away. Suddenly, the Warrior of Inner Strength flew back towards Zomom and rammed into him. "Oh, man! I can't believe she's made it this far! She's gonna make me look bad... I mean worse! Is that even possible?!" Zomom ran off. Fluttershy followed. She found the Zeti eating a clownishly oversized sandwich. "Huh? What the- how'd you find me?! That's it! Time to perish!" He devoured his sandwich and jumped high into the air. He landed on the ground hard, shaking the ground. Fluttershy, still in the air, tackled the orange Zeti. Zomom grabbed Fluttershy and jumped high into the air. However, Fluttershy freed herself and tackled Zomom, sending them both falling to the ground. "If I'm not careful, I'm gonna be toast! Awww...toast! No! NO! I've gotta concentrate, or else he's gonna make mincemeat outta me! Ohhhh, mincemeat! Ugh, I need an intervention!"

"You're a very bad Zeti!", Fluttershy said with an angry look. Zomom ran off. A Yellow Wisp appeared and merged with Fluttershy, giving her the ability to drill. She drilled into the ground and secretly followed Zomom. She found the Zeti in Ponyville conjuring up a massive tornado, causing a town-wide panic. "This reminds me of the time that Whirling Mungtooth ran loose at the Appleloosa County Fair." She turned a vine into a lasso and lassoed the Zeti... sending the Pegasus spinning. Luckily, she was able to slow him down. The Zeti broke free of his restraint and started spinning again. However, after a while, he got dizzy. Fluttershy rammed into Zomom, angering the fat Zeti.

"Ugh! You're the worst meal ever!", Zomom said. He started spinning again, repeatedly punching Fluttershy. However, after a while, he got dizzy again. Fluttershy rammed into Zomom, defeating him. "Does this mean no dessert?"

"All you talk about is food!", Fluttershy annoyingly said. The portal appeared and Fluttershy kicked Zomom through. She followed. Zomom was put in a cage alongside Zazz.

"Two down, four more to go!", Sonic said.

"You too, huh?", Zomom asked.

"That blue Pegasus eradicated me!", Zazz complained. "How in the world did you get defeated by a Pegasus like Fluttershy?!"

"I don't know. I thought she would be an easy target", Zomom answered. "She looked weak and pathetic."

"Well, Master Zik may be old, but he can kick all our asses! He should be able to defeat the meddling princess!", Zazz said with confidence.

"I wouldn't think so", Rainbow Dash said to the purple Zeti. "Twilight will destroy your puny little master!"

"You dare call our master puny?!", Zazz replied. "He raised all of us! He's basically our father! If that's not an accomplishment, I don't know what is!"

"Accomplishment, my ass! You're monsters with no sense of compassion!", Rainbow Dash retorted.

"I'm pretty sure all Zeti are like that", Sonic said.

"See? The blue hedgehog is smarter than you!", Zazz retorted. An angered Rainbow Dash attempted to punch Zazz in the face. Sonic, Shadow, and Gadget had to hold Rainbow Dash back before she could do so.

"There's a kid in the room, dummy!", Shadow said to the enraged Pegasus.

"Not even Fluttershy could tame us with her Stare!" Accepting the challenge, Fluttershy attempted to use the Stare on Zazz and Zomom, but failed.

At Sweet Apple Acres, Twilight flew out of a portal. Master Zik (on a giant apple) chased the Princess as she continually blasted the oversized fruit. Master Zik used his cane to telekinetically choke Twilight. He tossed her around the farm. Twilight, however, managed to escape. She blasted magic at Master Zik, but he simply deflected it with his cane. Suddenly, she used the power of the sun to supercharge her horn. She blasted the apple with a beam of heat, destroying it. "Your moves are unique. Who's your master?", Master Zik asked.

"Princess Celestia!", Twilight answered. "Now... it's time to squash you like the bug you are!"

"My skills are sharper than your words, brash one! Your insults cannot penetrate my thick, wrinkled skin! Of course not unlike light, water, certain moisturizers...", Master Zik rambled as he got blasted by Twilight, sending him flying. "You have disrespected your elders, arrogant stripling! Now you shall reap what you have sown!"

"I may look young, but my youth is what makes me more agile and stronger!", Twilight retorted as she used the power of the moon to supercharge her horn again. She blasted her opponent with a beam of darkness. An angered Master Zik kicked Twilight, but the Princess of Equestria wasn't even fazed. She blasted the Zeti once more. She then used the power of the sun and the moon to ultra-charge her horn. She blasted Master Zik, sending him flying into oblivion. Twilight, determined to finish off her opponent, flew after him to make sure he was dead. He wasn't.

"Your time is almost over, brash Princess. I shall prepare for you a lesson in respect. A painful lesson", Master Zik said as he whacked Twilight with his cane, critically injuring her. Suddenly, an Orange Wisp flew over and merged with Twilight. She now had the ability to fly as fast as a rocket. She rammed into Master Zik and relentlessly pummeled him. The villain landed on a cloud. Twilight repeated her previous attack, critically injuring the Zeti. Twilight then used her ultra-charged horn to blast her opponent again. "You think your puny magic can..." Twilight unleashed one final blast of magic, finally defeating Master Zik.

Back at the castle, Twilight threw Master Zik into the cage alongside Zazz and Zomom. "Maybe next time you'll think about how tough your opponent is before you fight them!", Twilight said. Master Zik responded by whacking Twilight with his cane. "YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Zazz and Zomom cowered in fear as the enraged Princess readied another blast of ultra-charged magic. A dark energy drained from Sonic's body and entered Twilight's body, causing her to transform into Dark Twilight.

"Prepare to perish", she said in a dark demonic voice. Kokiri started crying because of what she was seeing. "SONIC, CONTROL YOUR DAUGHTER!" Suddenly, Dark Twilight was electrocuted by Gadget's Wispon. Sonic reabsorbed the dark energy. Spike flew into the castle. When the members of the Legion of Doom all reformed, he fled because he knew he wouldn't have stood a chance against Infinite's clones. Zazz and Zomom were huddled in a corner shaking in fear and holding onto each other.

"Well, at least I gave them a good scare", Twilight said. Kokiri calmed down.

"Three down, three more to go!", Sonic said as he revealed another cage. "It's probably best to keep them separated."

In Yakyakistan, Rarity ran out of a portal to face Zeena (who was on a snowy cliff). "You will be so five minutes ago in about one minute! I won't even have to mess with my hair! You'd BETTER not make me mess up my hair!", Zeena said. Multiple snowmen appeared. One absorbed Zeena. The snowmen all attacked Rarity... with snowballs. Using her magic, she blasted the snowmen, reducing them to useless snow. She blasted Zeena. "Are you seriously still here?! Why won't you die?! Ugh! You're like a cockroach with horrible fashion sense!" That quote was enough to send Rarity off the deep end. She continuously blasted Zeena, but the Zeti was agile enough to dodge the attacks. However, one blast hit Zeena's hair. "Do you know how long it took to do my hair?!" More snowmen appeared, some with bombs. One absorbed Zeena. The snowmen all attacked Rarity... with snowballs. Using her magic, she blasted the snowmen, reducing them to useless snow. However, she didn't blast the snowmen with the bombs. She blasted Zeena. The Zeti retaliated with a giant snowball. It consumed Rarity as more snowmen appeared, some with bombs. One absorbed Zeena. Suddenly, the snowball ran over the snowmen. Rarity flew out of the snowball, somersaulted in the air, and blasted Zeena into the cliff, causing it to crumble.

"Just because I'm a lady doesn't mean I cannot handle myself in a snowy situation", Rarity said as she landed in a heroic pose.

"You're gonna pay for that!", Zeena screamed as she leaped out of the rubble with a mace. She swung it at Rarity, who dodged it. Rarity roundhouse kicked Zeena. Zeena retaliated by hitting Rarity with her mace, leaving a mark on the unicorn's face. Rarity blasted Zeena, who reflected the attack with her mace. She threw her mace, but Rarity somersaulted and blasted her foe. She then tornado-slammed Zeena, drilling her into the ground. "That's it! I'm going to turn you into a white snow-cone and feed you to that glutton Zomom, 'cause I'm on a diet and can't eat snow-cones!" She grabbed two more maces and leaped out of the crater. Rarity used her horn like a sword to parry the two maces. She managed to roundhouse kick Zeena, but the Zeti was able to gain the upper hand pretty quickly. However, Rarity disarmed Zeena and blasted her once again. She then performed an uppercut, sending Zeena flying. Gravity took its toll and a defeated Zeena was sent plummeting to the ground.

Back at the castle, Rarity threw Zeena into the second cage. "Hmph! I may be a fashionista, but I can handle myself in combat!", Rarity said.

"If these stains don't come out, you're dead!", Zeena retorted. Her hair was messed up VERY badly.

"I think you look fine", Sonic sarcastically replied. "Don't you have anything better to do with your life?"

"SHUT UP!", Zeena snarled. "Or else your child is DEAD MEAT when I get out of here!"

In the Everfree Forest, a portal opened and Pinkie Pie ran out. She was being chased by Zor in his Owl Mech. "Maybe I will finish you, maybe I won't. Does it really matter in the cosmic scheme of things? We're all gonna die eventually...", Zor said. A rocket shot out of the Owl Mech, but Pinkie deflected it and it hit the Owl Mech instead. "Ow." The clones all attacked Pinkie and relentlessly pummeled her. However, she noticed that one of the Shadow Zor clones wasn't attacking her.

"That must be the real Zor", Pinkie thought. She roundhouse kicked all the clones, taking damage in the process. She punched the real Zor, who began ricocheting off the walls, celing and floor. He eventually fell into a body of water, defeated.

"Only the Reaper wins in the end", Zor said as he shook himself dry.

At Las Pegasus, Applejack ran out of a portal. Zavok (the leader of the Deadly Six) followed on his Mech Dragon, ready to fight. "I will show you my full strength", Zavok said. The townsponies ran. The Mech Dragon charged at Applejack, but she somersaulted away. She managed to latch onto the tail, causing the Mech Dragon to go berserk, sending her flying. However, she punched Zavok in midair. "That's right. Enrage me further!" The Mech Dragon chomped it’s teeth as it nearly devoured Applejack. However, she managed to tackle the villain, the force sending him falling through the Mech Dragon, destroying it. However, the Mech Dragon's fuel gave Zavok more strength. "Playtime is over, pony!"

"I don't think so!", Applejack retorted. She leaped at the villain and delivered a flurry of punches and kicks. However, Zavok grabbed her and threw her. Back at the castle, Zavok was put in the same cage Zeena and Zor were in. "Damn it", Zavok said. Tails flew into the castle. Sonic embraced him tightly as tears ran down his face.

"Thank God you're alright!", Sonic said in relief.

"Zazz, Zomom, Master Zik, Zeena, Zor, Zavok. You couldn't beat us because you don't have the magic of friendship. You may be a family, but evil never wins. You're all inherently malicious, sadistic, and violent. Zazz, your relentless determination ultimately led to your downfall. Zomom, your gluttony made you slower. Master Zik, you were too overconfident. Zeena, your rage was unchecked. Zor, you can't send clones to do your dirty work. Zavok, you may be the leader and you may have a heart of love, but you're still a ballistic heat-seeking piece of evil", Twilight explained.

"Alright. Time to send these suckers home", Tails said.

"I'm impressed, girls. You managed to defeat the Deadly Six", Sonic said. Suddenly, the cages broke. Sonic and Shadow stood back to back and assumed fighting stances. Shadow faced Zazz, Zomom, and Master Zik while Sonic faced Zeena, Zor, and Zavok. "You girls have fought enough. Let us handle this." Two portals appeared. Shadow, Zazz, Zomom, and Master Zik went through one while Sonic, Zeena, Zor, and Zavok went through the other one. The Mane Six, Tails, Kokiri, and Gadget remained in the castle.

Meanwhile, the Legion of Doom reverted back to their original forms and turned back into a statue. The reason why is unknown, but one could presume it's because they're finished with their reign of terror. They fought the Mane Six and the Cavalry of United Equestria and lost. Whatever the reason may be, Equestria has three less villains to worry about. Evil never rests, however, as Sonic and his friends have learned.

At the Dragon Lands, Zazz, Zomom, and Master Zik leaped out of their portal and scared the dragons away. Shadow (who was already there thanks to his teleportation powers) faced the evil trio. "Time for some REVENGE!!! Hoo-hah! Right, master?", Zazz asked.

"Correct! Revenge is a dish best served cold!", Master Zik answered.

"Aw, man, now you made me hungry. Let's hurry up and destroy him!", Zomom added.

"Zazz, you're up!", Master Zik shouted.

"Gonna beat you like a drum!", Zazz shouted as he leaped down from the throne and swung his arms at Shadow, who dodged the attacks with ease. He kicked Zazz, sending him flying towards a large lava pool.

"I'm gonna kill ya!", he yelled as he leaped at Shadow. However, the hero punched Zazz in the stomach, sending the Zeti flying into the lava pool, killing him.

"Zomom, you're up!", Master Zik shouted.

"Black, my least favorite flavor!", Zomom bellowed as he leaped down from the throne and belched. Shadow roundhouse kicked Zomom in the face, causing him to stumble.

"Gonna tenderize you, meat!", he roared. He tornado-slammed Shadow, but the black hedgehog performed an uppercut, sending the Zeti flying upwards. Shadow leaped after him and punched him in the stomach. Zomom belched, causing him to fly into the lava pool, killing him.

"This time, I will hold nothing back!", Master Zik shouted as he leaped down from the throne and whacked Shadow with his cane. However, Shadow used the power of the Chaos Emeralds to turn into SuperShadow. He grabbed Master Zik and they both plunged into the lava pool. Only SuperShadow survived the lava pool, meaning that Master Zik was dead.

"That's three members of the Deadly Six killed. I hope Sonic's alright", SuperShadow said as he reverted back to his original form.

Meanwhile, in another part of the Dragon Lands, Zeena, Zor, and Zavok walked out of their portal. They glared at Sonic. "I'm getting tired of you guys", Sonic said.

"Don't be so whiny, man. That's MY deal", Zor replied.

"Give up now and join us", Zavok said.

"We promise you will be happy in our service", Zeena added.

"I'll never serve you", Sonic replied.

"I was hoping you'd say that. Zeena, you're up!", Zavok shouted. Zeena faced Sonic.

"What, no flowers?", Zeena asked.

"Nope!", Sonic answered as he roundhouse kicked Zeena. He then punched her in the face twice in anger. "THIS IS FOR THREATENING MY DAUGHTER!" Sonic threw Zeena into the lava, killing her.

"Zor, you're up!", Zavok said.

"Do you realize how meaningless we all are? Well, mostly you", Zor said to Sonic as he punched the blue hedgehog. He relentlessly pummeled the alien hedgehog. Suddenly, Sonic grabbed Zor and threw him into the lava pool, killing him.

"Let's put an end to this!" Zavok bellowed as he and Sonic fought through the Dragon Lands, neither one of them backing down. Eventually, Sonic pushed Zavok into the lava. Suddenly, a supersized Zavok appeared from the lava. "This is my full strength!" He attempted to step on Sonic, but the blue hedgehog was too fast, so Zavok grabbed him and crushed him in his fist. "You should've ran when you had the chance. Now I will destroy everything you've ever loved!" However, Sonic used the power of the Chaos Emeralds to turn into SuperSonic. He managed to free himself and pushed Zavok into the lava. This time, the lava killed Zavok, putting an end to the Deadly Six. Sonic reverted back to his original form.

Back at the castle, Sonic and Shadow reunited with their allies.

He assumed a fighting stance, but the hedgehog (who was already very tired from fighting Zeena, Zor, and Zavok) simply punched the Badnik out of the castle.

Chapter Four: The Metal Sonic Saga

"Who was that?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"That... was an actual faker. His name is Metal Sonic", Sonic answered. "Eggman built him to combat me. He can match all of my moves and more."

"Well, if he's still out there, we have to stop him!", Twilight said. "If he's as powerful as you say he is, he'll destroy everything we know and love!"

"Indeed", Metal Sonic said. He was hovering outside the castle. Gadget used his Wispon to create a lightning whip and used it like a lasso. He lassoed the Badnik and pulled it towards him, delivering a powerful kick.

"This thing is nothing more than a heap of scrap metal", Gadget bitterly said. However, the so-called "heap of scrap metal" quickly defeated Gadget with his martial arts skills.

"No, you", Metal Sonic replied. He blasted off. Suddenly, Gadget got a call.

"Well, hate to be a downer, but I gotta go", he said. He used the lightning whip and swung off.

In the library, the Mane Six were looking for information on Metal Sonic. Twilight eventually found an encyclopedia on the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise.

Metal Sonic is a secondary antagonist in the Sonic The Hedgehog series. He is an evil Badnik version of Sonic the Hedgehog and undoubtedly Dr. Eggman's deadliest creation, built for the sole purpose of destroying Sonic. Deployed during Eggman's operations on Little Planet, Metal Sonic confronted Sonic in battle and lost, though he would repeatedly return to challenge Sonic and his allies. Modeled with extreme accuracy after Sonic, Metal Sonic not only resembles his template but can also imitate his moves and achieve velocities matching and even exceeding that of Sonic. While mostly serving as Eggman's obedient and silent enforcer, Metal Sonic is an intelligent machine with a very dark side. A cold-hearted, aggressive and ruthless killer, he is obsessed with proving his superiority to Sonic and eliminating him for good to the point where he has rebelled against Eggman more than once to achieve his goal. However, he always fails in the end. To this day, Metal Sonic continues to be one of Sonic's most formidable foes.

"What's his relationship with Eggman?", Rainbow Dash asked.

Dr. Eggman is Metal Sonic's creator, and Metal Sonic is the only robot of Eggman's that has come the closest to defeating Sonic. Despite Metal Sonic's loss to Sonic after their first meeting, Eggman did not lose hope in Metal Sonic, and has since rebuilt him several times to accomplish his various agendas, even to the point of summoning the original back from Little Planet. Metal Sonic eventually betrayed Eggman due to his increasing hatred for Sonic and seized the Eggman Empire for himself to rule the world, with Metal Sonic's primary objective being to destroy Sonic. It is heavily implied that Eggman regretted this outcome, as he proceeded to answer Team Chaotix's interrogation of who locked him up with a saddened tone. However, Eggman did not give up on Metal Sonic even after that, and so reprogrammed Metal Sonic into his obedient servant again after regaining possession of him. Although Metal Sonic still displays rebellious tendencies, it has not stopped Eggman from using him for different missions.

"Wait. I remember my first encounter with that metalhead. It was a race. What if we trick him into doing a race with me?", Sonic asked.

"What will that do?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"Maybe Twilight can build a device that can cause Metal Sonic to malfunction once I race across the finish line", Sonic answered. "A device that relies on my speed. It's the perfect way to stop Metal from doing any damage."

"Excellent idea!", Eggman said. He walked into the castle. However, Orbot and Cubot were still on Mobius. "That meddling metal misanthrope has betrayed me for the last time!"

"Where should the race take place?", Twilight asked. Sonic opened a ring portal.

"Stardust Speedway", Sonic answered. "Where it all began."

"I can work with that", Twilight replied. She, Rainbow Dash, Sonic, Kokiri, and Eggman walked through before the portal closed.

"I haven't been here since I first met Metal 27 years ago", Sonic said. Suddenly, a familiar face zipped past. It was Classic Sonic. "Oh, right. I forgot this is the Classic Dimension."

"Did we travel back in time?!", Twilight asked, freaked out.

"No. This is merely a different dimension. Time travel is impossible", Eggman answered. Classic Sonic gave a thumbs up. "He... doesn't talk for some strange reason."

"Listen, Sonic. We need to build a rigged finish line. Think you can help us out?", Sonic asked his counterpart. Classic Sonic jumped up and down in joy. "I think he's in."

"Awesome!", Rainbow Dash said.

"I still can't believe there's TWO of me", Sonic said.

In almost no time at all, the rigged finish line was finished. "Now for the hard part: kiting Metal Sonic", Sonic said.

"Where is he, anyways?", Eggman asked. Suddenly, a portal opened and Metal Sonic walked through.

"I'm right here", Metal Sonic answered. "I might've lost the first time, but I won't lose this time. Sonic the Hedgehog, prepare to be humiliated."

"Rainbow Dash, keep Kokiri safe", Sonic said to his wife. He and Metal took their places at the starting line.

"Ready... set... GO!", Twilight said. The two racers zipped off.

Sonic and Metal Sonic raced through the Stardust Speedway, both of them going at their respective top speeds. This time, the Speedway was much longer, so Sonic was going at 200,000,000 miles per hour. Metal Sonic was fast, but he was quickly overwhelmed by Sonic's speed. In almost no time at all, the Blue Blur made it to the finish line and activated the device. The device sent electricity throughout the race course, electrocuting the Badnik. He seemingly started to malfunction. However, the electricity only made Metal Sonic stronger as he absorbed the electricity. "Fools. How did you think I found you?", Metal Sonic asked. "I spied on you guys. I had enough time to outfit myself with an electricity-absorbing device. Now... it's time for you to die." He blasted electricity at Sonic, but Twilight used her magic to create a forcefield.

"No. It's time for you to die!", Sonic replied. He leaped upwards and rolled into a ball. He rammed into Metal and the two rivals fought throughout the Speedway. However, the Badnik was now much stronger thanks to the electricity. Suddenly, Classic Sonic rammed into Metal.

"The only thing worse than one Sonic is two!", Metal Sonic growled. Kokiri then delivered a powerful kick to the villain's face. Her quills had turned into a mane, giving her a complete Pegasus appearance and resembling Rainbow Dash when she was a filly. However, she still had Sonic's genes. She was much faster. Her top speed was Sonic's top speed (200,000,000 miles per hour) multiplied by Rainbow Dash's top speed (7,600 miles per hour), meaning that her top speed was a whopping 1,520,000,000,000 miles per hour. The three heroes continued to fight Metal, gradually making him weaker. Eventually, Kokiri absorbed the electricity after punching Metal's core. This gave her a powerful upgrade as she then proceeded to repeatedly bash into the metallic villain. She was a blinding flash of light. Metal Sonic's device ultimately exploded, sending him flying. However, Metal wouldn't give up as he rocketed towards the heroes. "I am a hell of a lot more persistent than you thought!" He proceeded to mercilessly beat Sonic. A blade extended from his right wrist. "TIME TO DIE!" He raised the blade.

"Leave... my... father... ALONE!!!", Kokiri screamed as she flew towards the villain at top speed. As she rammed into the him, Metal Sonic was immediately sent flying into oblivion. He uncontrollably flipped through the air and eventually shattered into pieces a fret hitting a wall.

"This isn't the end... I will be back... you'll see...", Metal said before deactivating. His body was set to self-destruct should the time call for it. In a blinding flash of light, Metal Sonic exploded (except for his head). Twilight took the head.

"We need to analyze this", Twilight said. "It could give us information about who's behind all of this."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?", Sonic asked.

"We need to put an end to this", Twilight replied. "Plus, what harm can this thing do?" Sonic and Eggman shared an uncertain look as Sonic opened a ring portal and the five heroes walked through, leaving Classic Sonic to clean up the mess.

Twilight had Metal Sonic tangled up in wires trying to go through his memory banks to figure out the true mastermind behind the recent attacks. Is it really a coincidence that Infinite and the Deadly Six all attacked recently? And now Metal? Someone or something is orchestrating these attacks. Additionally, if Infinite sent Lightning Dust and X to attack her and the others five years ago, then that meant that that was just a prelude to a larger attack. However, it was near impossible to go through his memory banks mainly because he was deactivated. Sonic had rebuilt the rest of Metal's parts and Twilight had reattached them to Metal's body in the hopes that it could help if Metal was fully rebuilt. However, Twilight made a fatal mistake. When she finished rebuilding Metal, the robotic villain reawakened and started to transform. Neo Metal Sonic broke through the wires that held him and glared at his captor. "You!", he shouted.

"I hate to say I told you so, but...", Sonic started to say before he got blasted by Twilight. She obviously didn't want to hear it. However, Neo Metal Sonic wasn't done yet. He then transformed into Metal Madness. Team Rose, Team Chaotix, and Team Dark ran into the castle. Twilight picked up the unconscious Sonic (apparently, she knocked him out) and ran out of the castle.

"You're all useless now that I've copied all your data", Metal Madness said. The nine heroes all fought the villain in the castle.

The battle was long and hard, but after one final swing of Amy's hammer, Metal Madness was sent flying into oblivion.

Metal Madness landed near what looked like a lair. His files registered the area as Grogar/Discord's lair. "I do have to applaud Discord for his plan, even though it failed in the end", Metal Madness said to himself. He then saw some debris from the Final Fortress. "Impossible." Suddenly, Chaos walked into the lair. "Oh. That makes sense." He used the debris to complete his transformation into Metal Overlord.

"I told you so, Twilight", Sonic said. "You didn't listen. Now, that metalhead is gonna destroy everything!"

"Tails, do you know where he went?", Knuckles asked.

"Amy's hammer sent that guy flying, so no", Tails answered.

"I said I was sorry, okay?!", Twilight replied. "What more do you want me to do?!"

"Destroy him. ALONE", Sonic bitterly responded. With no choice, Twilight flew towards where she calculated Amy's hammer swing sent the robotic villain.

"Amy, how are you able to carry such an enormous weapon?", Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well...despite it's size, it's not that heavy. And, similar to your pink friend, I she can pull it out of nowhere on a moment's notice", Amy answered. Suddenly, Twilight's screaming was heard. She then landed, beaten and burned, near the four teams and Rainbow Dash.

"Serves her right", Sonic quipped.

"See me as I am, no longer afraid of anything! I shall become the ultimate overlord, ruling as the world's most supreme being!", Metal Overlord bellowed as he flew towards the alliance.

"Why are you doing this?", Sonic asked.

"Sonic, I was created for the sole purpose of destroying you. But I could never seem to defeat you! That's why I transformed my own body with my own hands", Metal Overlord answered. Sonic whispered something into Amy's ear. The pink hedgehog then proceeded to smash Twilight's head with her hammer. She dragged the unconscious Princess of Equestria into the castle. Amy then put Twilight into her bed and then walked out, ready to fight.

"Rainbow Dash, go protect Kokiri!", Sonic said.

"Got it!", Rainbow Dash replied as she zoomed off. The twelve heroes all assumed battle stances.

"Fools. My powers and skills include flight, super speed, super strength, enhanced durability, power replication, homing missiles, crystal generation, and claw missiles", Metal Overlord said. "I am far more powerful than you twelve combined!" And he was right. In just ten minutes, he easily defeated the alliance. He then flew to the top of the castle. "Today, you end!"

Badniks from Mobius surrounded the twelve heroes. The Mane Six joined them. "Okay, then. This is gonna get loud! It's time to show them what we're made of!", Sonic said. The eighteen heroes all leaped towards the Badniks.

After a huge robotic battle, it became clear that Metal Overlord could only be defeated by Team Sonic. "Inside the castle!", Sonic shouted.

"We need to activate the Chaos Emeralds, but that metalhead has them!", Sonic said.

"Leave it to me", Twilight said. She flew out of the castle and faced Metal Overlord.

"Oh, Twilight. Understand that an ending don't mean it's over", Metal Overlord said. He fought the Princess of Equestria.

After a bloody battle, Twilight was able to reacquire the Chaos Emeralds. She gave them to Team Sonic, who used them to transform into SuperSonic, SuperTails, and SuperKnuckles. They were now known as Team Super Sonic. "Metal Overlord said that an ending don't mean it's over", Twilight said.

"That could mean that someone else is pulling the strings", SuperSonic replied.

"But who would want to do this?", SuperTails asked. SuperSonic's eyes widened with realization.

"Chaos! How else would Metal Overlord gain access to the Chaos Emeralds? Those emeralds can allow Chaos to change form!", SuperSonic explained.

"Metal Overlord knows all of our moves. How will we defeat him this time?", SuperKnuckles asked.

"The superpower of teamwork!", SuperSonic answered. "He can't register teamwork!"

"Understood. Let's do this!", SuperKnuckles said. Team Super Sonic flew out of the castle and faced Metal Overlord.

"We'll show you the real superpower of teamwork!", SuperSonic said.

"Show me, then! Show me what you're made of against this brand new me! As I am no longer afraid! I shall never be afraid of anything!", Metal Overlord replied as he started to float.

"You will learn fear!", SuperSonic shouted. "Your metal brain will register what fear looks like!"

"A flying bug covered in piss joined by a flying fox and an X-23 knock-off?", Metal Overlord sarcastically quipped. "I'm so scared."

"You're gonna be!", SuperSonic angrily yelled.

"How dare you call me a knock-off!", SuperKnuckles added.

"That's... surprisingly accurate. I am a flying fox", SuperTails added.

"No matter. I will still annihilate everything you love!", Metal Overlord replied. "Now, DIE!"

Team Super Sonic and Metal Overlord flew high above the clouds. Metal Overlord didn't even resemble Sonic anymore. He resembled what looked like a smaller Mechagodzilla with massive upgrades and a multicolored color scheme (blue, yellow, silver, red, white, black, purple, green) and red eyes with black sclera. He fired crystals at Team Super Sonic, who evaded the attack by breaking the crystals. They eventually gained enough power to perform Super Sonic Power. They unleashed the attack, dealing some damage to their adversary. "You're nothing but a metalhead! Always will be!", SuperSonic taunted.

"But that was the past. Now you're nothing but a speck of dust to me", Metal Overlord replied as he launched his spikes. However, Team Super Sonic broke through the spikes. They eventually gained enough power to perform Super Sonic Power. They unleashed the attack, dealing some damage to their adversary. "Take this!" He threw an Egg Fleet ship, which was shooting at him (to no avail). Team Super Sonic broke through the ship. They gained enough power to perform Super Sonic Power. They unleashed the attack, dealing some damage to their adversary. He then fired both crystals and spikes at the team, who broke through them. They eventually gained enough power to perform Super Sonic Power. They unleashed the attack, dealing some damage to their adversary. He repeated the attack but fired twice the amount of both crystals and spikes. However, the weapons were no match for Team Super Sonic. They eventually gained enough power to perform Super Sonic Power. They unleashed the attack, dealing some damage to their adversary. "That's it! CHAOS CONTROL!" Metal Overlord started to warp time and space. Team Super Sonic struggled to maintain the balance, but Metal Overlord started to use their own abilities against them and turned into Super Metal Overlord. Now nothing could hurt him. Team Super Sonic attempted to absorb the Chaos energy from Super Metal Overlord, to no avail. However, the power was too much for the robotic villain to handle. Super Metal Overlord finally exploded into fireworks and his remains fell to the ground.

Chapter Five: The Chaos Saga

"So what you're saying is that we're gonna be fighting the God of Destruction?!", Rainbow Dash asked.

"Yes, according to Eggman, who actually disappeared when Twilight started to analyze Metal", Sonic answered. Twilight opened her Sonic encyclopedia.

Chaos is a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and the main antagonist of Sonic Adventure. It is an immortal, god-like creature composed entirely of concentrated energy. It is the guardian god of the Chao and their friends, and it has the ability to change form for each Chaos Emerald it receives. The original guardian of the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald, Chaos watched over a Chao colony in ancient times until an attack from the Knuckles Clan led to it being consumed by a fury that threatened to destroy the world. However, it was sealed in the Master Emerald before it could succeed. After millennia of imprisonment, it was released by Dr. Eggman in a plot to conquer the world. Despite initial cooperation however, Chaos turned on Eggman and tried to destroy the world, but was calmed by Sonic and departed for places unknown. Since then, Chaos only appears in times of great crisis.

Chaos 0 is Chaos's most basic form, assumed when it is possession of no Chaos Emeralds. In this form, Chaos commands limited hydrokinetic shapeshifting, allowing it to stretch its limbs, morph its body parts, and liquefy itself into a puddle of water. It is also bulletproof due to its watery composition and possesses earthquake-inducing super strength. It can also harness the power of spirits and elementals to perform great physical feats (like several tens meters tall leaps), execute strong attacks, and even heal itself. It also has hydrokinetic powers that lets it emit mysterious ripples and even freeze the air around its foes. In addition, it can climb, glide, and breathe underwater.

Chaos 1 is the form Chaos takes after absorbing the negative chaos energy of one Chaos Emerald. In this form, Chaos increases in size and mass, and it gains a line of bones that travel down its right arm into its hand. Most of Chaos 1's abilities are unknown. although it retains its power of hydrokinetic shapeshifting, allowing it to liquefy itself into a puddle of water.

Chaos 2 is the form Chaos takes after absorbing the negative chaos energy of two Chaos Emeralds. In this form, Chaos becomes larger and more muscular with a hunched posture, bones in both its large arms, and vertical head fins. As Chaos 2, Chaos is much stronger, and its hydrokinetic shapeshifting has evolved significantly, allowing it to turn into a large ball, liquefy over a wide area, and split into hundreds of balls. It can also stretch its limbs and generate a force-field around itself.

Chaos 4 is the form Chaos takes after absorbing the negative chaos energy of four Chaos Emeralds. In this form, Chaos looks like an aquatic creature, similar to a shark, with arm-like fins, a dorsal fin, and a blunt horn. It also has bones in its tail section and arms. As Chaos 4, Chaos' hydrokinetic shapeshifting has evolved further, allowing it more offensive usage of its shapeshifting. It also has new abilities to match its new form, including more control over water and energy wave emission. It is also a quick and nimble swimmer, and is able to levitate in the air.

Chaos 6 is the form Chaos takes after absorbing the negative chaos energy of six Chaos Emeralds, making this its pre-ultimate form. In this form, Chaos resembles a scorpion/spider/frog-like creature with six legs, a long tail, multiple eyes, and a toothed mouth. It also has an extended skeleton inside its body. As Chaos 6, Chaos commands immense power. In this form, its hydrokinetic shapeshifting has reached the point where it can assume more complex forms that feature a variety of tentacles. It has also gained a vacuum breath and can charge its attacks with energy.

Perfect Chaos is the form Chaos takes after absorbing the negative chaos energy of all seven Chaos Emeralds. In this form, Chaos becomes a giant serpentine dragon-like beast with a mouth extending far beyond its eyes (which are now reptilian) and a scale-like hide instead of a skeleton. The base of its snake-like body is merged with the water around it. It also has large tentacles extending from its base. As Perfect Chaos, Chaos is a higher being that accordingly commands ultimate power. It is able to merge with water and has immense hydrokinetic abilities that lets it create large-scale water sprouts, command water tornadoes, and control entire floods which are destructive enough to destroy entire cities. It also has incredible super strength and can shoot energy blasts from its body and beams from its mouth.

"Wait... Knuckles's clan... did what?!", Twilight asked.

"My clan didn't know any better! It's in our nature!", Knuckles explained, only to be on the receiving end of a magic blast from Twilight. "Okay, I deserved that." She wasn't done, though. She proceeded to beat the crap out of Knuckles. Sonic wanted to intervene, but at the same time, knew that Knuckles was getting what he deserved. Chaos eventually flew over.

"That's the God of Destruction?", Twilight asked after she finished beating the crap out of Knuckles. She laughed. Sonic, however, assumed a battle-ready stance. He jumped on Chaos's brain, causing the Chao to turn into a puddle. He appeared behind Twilight and used his Spin Attack. Sonic jumped on Chaos's brain, causing the Chao to turn into a puddle. He leaped high into the air and landed on the balcony of the castle. Sonic ran up to the balcony and punched Chaos in the brain, defeating him for now. He fled.

"His attacks are impressive, but not god-like", Twilight said. Sonic landed behind her.

"That's his first form, Chaos 0", Sonic explained. "Once it gains the Yellow Emerald, it will turn into Chaos 1, who is stronger than Chaos 0. Unfortunately, we don't where the Chaos Emeralds are, so we're defenseless."

Chaos knew he needed to find the Yellow Emerald to gain power. He managed to escape Sonic once again, but he knew that the meddling hedgehog would be back. Eventually, he found the Yellow Emerald laying dormant in a tree. Not hesitating, he proceeded to climb the tree. He grabbed the Yellow Emerald and started to transform.

Chaos 1's right arm and hand turned into a weapon. However, he knew that this wasn't enough. He needed to find the Red Emerald. Chaos 1 never really understood why these Emeralds were different colors. Emeralds are normally green. Not thinking too much about it, he continued looking. After a while, he found the Red Emerald in a pool of water. He dove in. After a minute, he leaped out of the water as Chaos 2.

He was now twice as big as Sonic. He walked towards the castle to fight Sonic again. However, Knuckles was there waiting for him. "So... we meet again", Knuckles said. Chaos 2, however, wasn't frightened. He used his Squash Roll Attack, but Knuckles dodged it. He punched the villain, causing him to turn into a puddle. Fluttershy was tending to Knuckles's wounds. "I thought Chaos was neutral", Fluttershy said.

"He is. Someone else is pulling the strings", Knuckles replied. "Also, he... has a bad history with my clan. I'm the last surviving member of the Knuckles Clan. Where do you think I got my name?" Sonic arrived. Knuckles was understandably not very happy to see him. Now fully healed, he tackled Sonic, who had the Green Emerald and Blue Emerald. The Emeralds rolled on the ground. Sonic kicked Knuckles and grabbed the Emeralds. However, Knuckles tackled Sonic again, and the hedgehog dropped the Emeralds. Fluttershy grabbed them and ran. Sonic delivered two punches to Knuckles's face, defeating him. Tails arrived.

"Where are the Emeralds?!", Sonic panicked.

"Fluttershy has them", Tails said. Suddenly, Team Sonic heard screaming.

"Way to go, Knucklehead!", Sonic quipped. Fluttershy weakly flew over.

"Chaos 4... he's here...", Fluttershy said.

"Okay, team. Let's go!", Sonic said. Team Sonic ran off.

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles saw Chaos 4 swimming around. He now resembled some kind of shark-like creature. "There's no way on Mobius I'm going in there!", Sonic said.

"I literally just fought this guy, and he critically injured me", Knuckles said.

"Leave it to me", Tails said. Using his twin tails like propellors, he flew over the lake. Chaos 4 used his Sonic Boom attack, but the shockwave didn't even touch Tails. Tails rammed into Chaos 4, dealing some damage. Chaos 4 used his Spouting Attack, but Tails managed to evade the columns of water. He rammed into Chaos 4, dealing some damage. The Chaos Emeralds split Chaos 4's body into four different water orbs, which then launched themselves at Tails. The fox kit evaded the orbs. He rammed into Chaos 4, dealing some damage. Chaos 4 continued to leap across the treetops looking for the Purple Emerald and White Emerald. He then saw Big the Cat fishing nearby... and saw his little friend, Froggy. Without hesitation, the monster kidnapped Froggy. "Froggy!", Big shouted. The monster grew legs, making him amphibious. He leapt off. Big went to go find Sonic, knowing he can't take down Chaos alone. Meanwhile, Chaos 4 found the Purple Emerald and White Emerald in Twilight's castle. He grabbed them and turned into Chaos 6. He now resembled a bloated scorpion/frog-like creature. Over three times Big's height, he had a massive body with two extensions/antennas on his sides, two pairs of digit-less legs, and a similar pair of large hind legs bending backwards. He had as well a large mouth with razor sharp teeth and two large eyes aligned vertically on its face with three smaller eyes aligned horizontally on each side. He also had a zigzagged tail with a blunt tip. Running through his hind legs were grey bones, connected in the rear by a pelvis-like bone, with a Chaos Emerald embedded in each of them. In his belly lay his bone-covered core, encircled by four standing bones, each with a Chaos Emerald on top. Now with six Chaos Emeralds, he walked outside.

At Fluttershy's cottage...

"Someone is deliberately feeding Chaos the Emeralds. They're putting them in specific places so that Chaos can conveniently find them!", Knuckles explained.

"But this time, Eggman's not responsible. I just got a call from him saying that he and the Mane Six are working on something that could hopefully help us put an end to what's going on", Sonic replied.

"Wait. Eggman and who?", Knuckles asked.

"The Mane... oh, shit", Sonic answered. He facepalmed. "Twilight was supposed to be guarding the two Chaos Emeralds we found at Sugarcube Corner!" As if on cue, Chaos 6's enormous shadow enveloped the cottage.

"That's the creature who took Froggy!", Big said.

"Sonic, you and Big take care of Chaos 6. We'll go find the Mane Six and Eggman and try to keep them safe", Tails said.

"Affirmative", Sonic replied. Tails and Knuckles ran off. "Let's do this, Big!" Big wielded his fishing rod.

Big cast his lure and it hooked onto Froggy, causing Chaos 6 to squirm. He used his Inhale Attack, but Sonic dodged it. He rammed into Chaos 6, dealing no damage. Chaos 6 then used his Scorpion Attack, but Big jumped over the tail and it swung at him. Sonic rammed into Chaos 6, dealing no damage. Chaos 6 then used the Homing Tail Slice, which Sonic and Big nearly evaded. Sonic rammed into Chaos 6, dealing no damage. The villain used his Shockwave Attack, sending both Sonic and Big flying, but the force was enough to yank Froggy out of Chaos 6's body. Sonic rammed into Chaos 6 four more times, defeating him for now. Suddenly, Chaos 6 roared. The Aqua Emerald flew towards him. He grabbed it in midair with his tail. "RUN!!!!!", Sonic screamed. He created a ring portal and he, Big, and Froggy ran through as Chaos 6 transformed into Perfect Chaos and enveloped all of Equestria.

In Eggman's laboratory, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, the Mane Six, and Eggman were hard at work finishing a device that could harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic, Kokiri (who the trio picked up), Big, and Froggy ran through the portal. "Perfect Chaos is destroying Equestria!", Sonic said. Twilight outfitted herself with the device, which was basically a purple metallic suit that enveloped her. "We need to stop that... monster!"

"I'm coming with you", Twilight said. "This is my kingdom, and I'm going to protect it with my dying breath!" Sonic nodded. He opened up another ring portal, and he and Twilight walked through.

They harnessed the positive energy of the Chaos Emeralds and transformed into SuperSonic and SuperTwilight, whose bodysuit turned golden. All of Equestria was flooded with water. Perfect Chaos appeared in front of them. The gargantuan monster roared. "If I wasn't just dreaming, that monster is a real menace!", SuperTwilight said. "I sent Spike to the Dragon Lands. He'll be safe there now that Garble isn't an asshole anymore."

"Alright. Let's put an end to this monstrosity once and for all!", SuperSonic replied. Suddenly, he remembered what he said to Tikal. "We need to calm that thing down!"

"Uh... alright, if you say so!", SuperTwilight replied. Perfect Chaos then moved away from the duo. "Hey, get back here!" The duo flew after the gargantuan villain.

"We're not going fast enough!", SuperSonic said.

"We will now! CHAOS CONTROL!", SuperTwilight replied. Perfect Chaos screeched in pain. SuperSonic and SuperTwilight each hit the monster 50 times, dealing some damage. Time returned to normal and the chase continued. The cool-down for Chaos Control was one minute, so the duo were forced to evade projectiles thrown at them. "CHAOS CONTROL!" SuperSonic and SuperTwilight reverted back to their original forms as well. The Mane Six and Sonic each caught a Chaos Emerald and met up at the castle. Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Eggman, Kokiri, Big, Froggy, and a much calmer Chaos joined them.

"Okay, Chaos. Why did you attack Equestria? Why did you sent those other villains to do your dirty work?", Eggman asked. Suddenly, laughing was heard. "I swear that's not me!" A portal opened and Dr. Robotnik stepped through. "Me from the Classic Dimension?!"

"That's right, fools!", Dr. Robotnik replied. "I ordered that water balloon to hire Metal Sonic to destroy Equestria. Of course, Metal Sonic needed power. That's where the Deadly Six came in. Zavok was surprised by what Infinite did, so he shared a telepathic link with the jackal. Using that same telepathic link, Infinite ordered Lightning Dust and Sonic.EXE, otherwise known as X, to destroy the saviors of Equestria so nothing would stand in my way!" He stomped on the ground and created a shockwave that blasted the Mane Six out of the castle. "I already defeated Sonic from my dimension, so you're next!" He walked three the portal. "If you lose to me, Equestria is done for! Make the right choice now, hedgehog, or your daughter dies first!" He held Kokiri in a chokehold.

"Dad...", Kokiri weakly said as Dr. Robotnik tightened his grip.

"ENOUGH!", Sonic screamed. "Bring it on, fatso!"

"Your daughter will be spared... for now", Dr. Robotnik replied as he walked through the portal to the Final Zone. Sonic followed and the portal closed.
