Spongebob Turns On the TV
"Poke."
Patrick was spending the hour at Spongebob's house, but they were bored. The only humorous thing to Patrick was pushing in on Spongebob's yellow pores, and then watching them 'pop' back in to place.
"Patrick, are you bored? I suggest we go down to the Krusty Kr-" Patrick interuppted Spongebob. "NO SPONGEBOB! This is the WEEKEND, and when employees reach the end of the week, they celebrate all their hard work by having 2 full days off! I don't even have a job, and you don't see me ranting about being bored on the weekend!" Patrick said. This guy confuses me sometimes.... I don't even..-. Spongebob's thoughts were interuppted by the beeping of Patrick's watch. "Looks like I have to leave Spongebob, my swimming lessons are in 20 minutes... Don't wanna be late!" Spongebob's cheerful friend walked out of the pineapple house, saying 'Goodbye' to Gary as he walked out. Is that guy ever gonna find out that he already knows how to swim?; he lives in water. This world is so confusing.... As the front door closed, Spongebob walked in to his kitchen. "What to do... what to do...." Spongebob wondered... out loud. He glanced around the room, seeing if there was anything to clean, fix, or put up. He saw the 'Barg N' Mart' bag he had brought home earlier, filled with Gary's favorite food, Snail-Po. He got out Gary's bowl, filling it a bit over the top with food. "Garyyyyy, oh Garyyyy!!!" The yellow, porous, sea-creature sang. "Meooww" Gary... said. He quickly gobbled up the food, letting out a 'BURP' as he slithered out of the kitchen, leaving a trail of slime behind. "Well, looks like everything I have to do today is DONE!". Spongebob smiled and looked at the time. "12:30 PM... let's see what's on TV!". He walked in to the living room, where his chair, sofa, and TV set lay. He plopped down in to his chair, grabbing the remote with his cheese-colored fingers. He pressed down on to the 'ON-OFF' button on the remote, watching the screen turn from black, to color.
Spongebob's world was full of wonder, curiosity, adventure. Everything he saw was 20% cuter (Or should I say 'cooler'?) than the average sea creature. He always knew how to make things bright and happy, much like the bubbly 'Pinkie Pie' (Which he knew nothing about... yet) on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. As we return back to the present, you will experience Spongebob finding how friendship... is magic.
The TV turned on. The local news was showing, with that ridiculous looking fish all dressed up in a suit. "No... Something different..." Spongebob said. He pressed down on the 'guide' button and scrolled through the channels. There were few that stood out to him, such as "Goofy Goober: the Movie", "How to Care for A Pet Snail", and "Getting Your Boating Liscense: Fast!". But there was a new channel called "The Hub", that apparently had a marathon that day of a show called "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!". He had never heard of either, but it stood out to him. Was he going to try it? Well, do pineapples make houses? To Spongebob the answer was clear... he was going to try something new. He slowly moved his finger to the 'OK' button while making his decision proven. He finally decided yes. He quickly pressed the button. The screen changed to a colorful, bright setting. He saw some type of thing, he could not describe. It looked much like a sea-horse, but it had legs! And a tail, a mane, and beautiful, glimmery eyes. He looked at the screen intently, waiting for dialogue to be spoken. "Are you sure inviting Gilda is a good idea?". The color of the so-called pony was a soft yellow. It had wings attached on to its back, and a baby pink colored mane and tail. There was some type of design on the pony's flank. The design was three pink butterflies, frozen in place with their wings flapping. A pink pony with curly hair and balloons on its flank was standing in front of the yellow pony. She wrapped her arm around the yellow mare and ruffled her hair. "Don't you worry Fluttershy! Your Aunt Pinkie Pie's got everything covered!". Pinkie Pie walked away, and Fluttershy muttered, "I'm a year older than you...". Spongebob giggled. Spongebob was very interested in this show. What wonders would it bring him in later hours? Since it was a marathon day, he decided to do something else and watch more later. Should he watch more, and be overly excited? He decided that... he would take Gary on a quick walk first.

Twilight Sparkle's hooves clopped down the long hallway. Celestia was startled by the sound, as she had been dozing in her throne. "Twilight Sparkle, for what reason are you here?". Twilight responded quickly, "I have amazing, yet disturbing news. There has been a break in the atmosphere. A hole is in the sky, and none of the pegasi dare to fly to it. There is water trickling down the sides of the sky as if we were inside a dome." Twilight paused to hear the sun goddess' answer. "I-I'm speechless... this is miraculous! Through the thousands of years I have been on this land, nothing this serious has happened. Are there any clues that have lead to the cause of this problem?", Celestia asked. Twilight nodded her head confidently. "Well then, what is it?!" Celestia demanded. Twilight jumped back in surprise, then answered. "Yes, um... A sponge-like creature with box shaped pants fell through the hole with a snail." she responded. "Well then, that is quite odd." the princess remarked. Twilight nervously shifted from side to side. "Princess, there's more.". Celestia whipped her head up instantly with wide eyes. Twilight spoke, "They look to have been turned to stone.". Celestia gaped in horror and whispered to herself... "Discord....has returned.".

~BEFORE THE INCIDENT~
Apple Jack was bucking apples as usual. Apple Bloom was complaining about not being with the Crusaders as usual. Granny Smith was yelling at the pies as usual. Everything was normal. Except for one thing, the apples. The apples were unusually hard. They were hard to bite. Most of the time Big Mac could flick the dang thing and it would break into pieces. Today he broke his hoof trying to punch an apple.
Pinkie Pie was being cheerful as usual. Mrs. Cake was taking care of the babies as usual. Mr. Cake was doing business as usual. Gummy was... being Gummy. Everything was completely okey-dokey-lokey. Except for one thing, the cake batter. The apples from Apple Jack's farm had been delivered today, and Pinkie was making apple upside-down cakes. (And yes, I mean apple, not pineapple. Thank you very much.) As usual, she cut the apples, made the batter with eggs, flour, milk, and butter, then added the apple bits and a bit of spice. She baked it. Approximately an hour later, she opened the oven door to check on it. As she tested the cake with her hoof, she regretted it. Not only was it steaming hot, it was turning to stone. She pulled back her hoof, but it was too late. Within minutes, only Pinkie's head was untouched by the stone. "Help! Mrs. Cake! Mr. Cake! Gummy!". She cried for help but no one came to help. Seconds before it was covered, her hair turned straight. Pinkamena Diane Pie had lost hope.
Gummy was looking for his friend. Where was she? She was always with him, caring for him and having fun with him. He skipped and tripped and skipped again down the hallway to the kitchen. Random balloons were floating around, so Gummy decided to swallow a couple. Few feet remained until he turned left into the kitchen. 'Clack clack clack clack clack clack' went his claws on the hard floor. He entered the kitchen to find his best friend, his mate, his everything.... gone. Pinkie Pie, his caretaker had been turned to stone.
