???? Pov

I walked into Com-a-con dressed as my favorite brave frontier character. I dressed as Fencer Vargas but, I couldn't find his sword no matter how hard I tried to find it. As we walked around, I met with other brave frontier fans, took photos and, looking for the sword.

"Hey, Fencer Vargas!"

I turned and saw a man dressed as Thunder God Eze. I noticed he had weapons, books, and 'holy shit the sword!' I quickly walked over and reached for the sword but, the man laughed as he looked at me.

"Guess I have what you need for your custom. Tell you what if you can answer a question you can have a book free of charge as well as the sword."

I smiled as I looked at him. "Ok, what's the question?" He smiled as he looked at me.

"What is the most powerful attack a brave burster in the game?"

I smiled as I looked at him. "Overdrive Brave buster obtained when the main hero is evolved to the max and has/his or her brave buster at level ten." He laughed, then pushed the sword over to me, then pulled a book out from under the table. I took the book, and I looked over it. It was a black book with a red gem on the front. Then I opened it and saw it was just like the game monster list with a name and number with each monster or hero. But, they were all blank but had all the evolution monsters and items near the back with a level up a circle. There was also some kind of gems embedded in the circle. I didn't find anything else, so I put the book in a side bag, I had and grabbed the sword by the handle then put it on my shoulder. "Thanks, but why is the book blank?" He looked at me, a smirk on his face.

"You have to fill then in with all-new heroes and monster, so good luck."

He snapped his fingers, and everything went back.

Twilight pov

I saw in my dark crystal castle looking over jobs for adventures, but we had none in town. None of the ponies have the will or ability to fight off monsters or bandits. I sighed as I stood up from my bed and looked at myself in the mirror in my room. I saw my reflection and smiled as I put my hands behind my head then looked at myself. I saw myself in my black bra and panties. I smiled as I looked at myself and frown. 'If only I were a higher level, fifty-six isn't the best. I wish I were level one-fifty like Celestia and Luna.

"Hey, Twilight!"

I blushed as I quickly ran over to my bathroom as Spike walked into the room. I looked back out the door, a snarl on my face. "Knock before coming in!" He rolled his eyes then threw a packet on the bed. He walked out of the room and, I walked out after I was sure he was gone. I picked it up, then opened it, and I went red-faced as I looked at the papers. More job postings from Luna. "FOR BU...!" I stopped mid-yell as a loud crack rang out, and before I knew what was going on, something crashed down on my balcony. Cracks spread out from the impact, and I looked at the balcony. I saw a body laid out in the rain. I grabbed my bath rob then grabbed my magic staff from beside my bed. I charged a thunder spell as I walked over to the door and. I pulled the doors open, slowly waiting to see if the body moved until I opened the door. I looked down at a large man with light armor on with a red shirt and pants under his chest plate and hip guards. He had guards on his fist with a cape on with a massive sword beside his head full of red hair. A bag was on his side, and I noticed a book sticking out of the top. I pocked him a few times in the side of his chest, not covered by armor, then he coughed, then his eyes started to open.

Fencer Vargas pov

My body was aching all over, and I felt like my head was spinning. The next thing I felt was cold water hitting me. I was lying on the ground, then I noticed something pocking my side. I opened my eyes and looked up and saw a stunning woman looking down at me. She was a tall, slender woman with purple hair with a bright pink highlight in the center. She had bright purple eyes and a beautiful body.

"Are you alive? If you're dead, can I have that book?"

I saw a black lace bra and panties from under a bathrobe. "N-no." She blinked then looked down at her body. Her face turned bright red then she looked down at me.

"PERVERT!"

She brought the staff down quickly and, everything went black. I awoke a few hours later, my head throbbing as I laid on my side. I blinked a few times then tried to move, but I couldn't move my arms or legs. I looked down at my body and saw ropes around my chest then I decided to try my hands, they were tied behind my back, and I tried my feet. I couldn't move my feet at all, either. I moved my feet forward, seeing a rope around my ankles. 'Well, fuck me, how'd this happen?' I looked around and noticed my sword or that book were gone. Then I remembered the pocket knife I had hidden in my boot. I pulled my feet close to my hands as I could then felt around the top of the inside of the boot. I smiled as I grabbed the knife then pulled it out of the boot. I opened the knife then started to cut away at the ropes around my ankles. After a few seconds of awkward cutting, I was free to stand again. 'Ok, only a little more.' I turned my knife in my hand then started to cut the ropes holding my hands. After a little more awkward cutting, I dropped the knife as I snapped the rope the rest of the way. With my hands-free, I reached a little higher up my back then found a knot.

"This way, girls!"

I heard yelling and, I knew I was in trouble from the way I was being held. I quickly started to undo the knot, and I had it a second later. The ropes fell to the ground, and I put my knife away before the girl who knocked me out around a corner, and I noticed bars. 'A jail cell?' We locked eyes and, she looked at me, shocked.

"How did you get out of these binds!?"

I looked at her for a second then frowned as I crossed my arm. I smiled, hiding my fear as I looked at her. "Um, miss, can I ask you a question?" Five more girls ran in front of the bars and looked at me. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Sure?"

"What happened?"

"You crashed on my balcony."

I nodded then sat down as they looked at me. "Do you see anyone else?" They all looked at one another, a woman with puffy pink hair popped her head through the bars. I was a little shocked and fell back on the ground, then I shuffled away, trying to get away from her. She had a massive smile on her face as she looked at me.

"Do you like parties!?"

"Um, ya?" She smiled, then pulled her head back out of the bars and ran off. I blinked then looked at the other as I pointed to the way the girl went. The girl sighed, then rubbed her eyes then looked at me again.

"Don't mind her, my party is a little strange. Now, why did you land on my balcony, and who else could have fallen there?"

I took a second to regain my composure then I started to talk. "Thunder God Eze, I was with him before everything went back, and the next thing I knew, you were pocking me with a stick." All of them looked at me shock on there faces as they looked down at me.

"You were speaking with a god?"

A girl dressed as a cowgirl with a large battle-ax on her back spoke up. I looked at her then knew if I couldn't explain that now. "Look all that aside, I have to get moving. I have to figure out how the book works." They all looked at me, then I saw the book in one of the girl's hands. She was a tall woman with long, light pink hair with a bag on her side.

"This book?"

I smiled as I looked at her; then, she held the book out to me. I smiled, but as I reached for it, the woman who knocked me out snatched it. She opened it and found the blank slots, and looked through the whole thing then stopped on the back of the book. She looked at the end covered then turned it to face me.

"What is this?"

I shugged my shoulders as I looked at her. "Not sure myself. " She looked down at me for a second, then scoffed and threw it over to me. I grabbed it then noticed a glow when I caught it. The red gem glowed then shoot out a red light over the girls in front of me. Once it was done, the book forced itself opened then pages turned quickly. It stopped near the end, and images of all of them formed. We looked at the book for a second, then I touched the image of the light pink-haired girl. A picture of her came out of the slot and a list formed under the image.

"I see this is a stats book, it recorded anything that had a set of the stat. Now that gives me an idea, the circle may be a fusion circle." All of them looked at me, then the first girl spoke up.

"Fusion circle?"

I smiled as I looked at her. "A fast way to level up, meaning you use monsters you defeat and tame then fuse with them. It turned them into pure energy, and you take power from them and adds power to yourself."

"A fast way to level up!?"

The Rainbow haired yelled reached for my book, but, I held it away from her. "Hold up, I don't even know how that works yet. It could be dangerous if we try anything with it." She frowned then gave up trying to grab it. I smiled as I opened the book again then looked at her image. I looked at her description again. I noticed something at the bottom, and I smiled.

"What?"

I smiled as I looked at her, then I stood up and walked over to her. All of them looked at her page as I pointed at it. "It seems you have a power attack. It appeared to be a one-shot attack that uses a significant amount of power. It's call thunder shot with a fifty-fifty shot of a one-shot kill." She smiled as she looked at the book, then she looked at the other woman.

"Twilight, we should let him out, he doesn't seem to want to hurt us at all."

"No."

They all looked at me as I closed my book. "Right now, this is the best place for me. Until all of you can trust me, this cell will be fine."

"Are you sure?"

Fluttershy spoke as she looked at me. She seemed scared as she looked at me. I smiled as I looked at her, and in my most calming tone, spoke. "Miss Fluttershy, I'm fine staying here for now. " She smiled as she looked at me, then she waved for the others to follow her. I smiled then started to look in my book and found me. I checked it and saw I was level one and had all of Vargas stats and brave buster. 'Only six right now guess as I meet others, it will fill in. I looked at the fusion circle, trying to think of how it would work. I smiled as I looked at the book then I heard metal on metal. I looked up from the book and saw The cowgirl opened the door then walked in with a tray of food. She smiled as she looked at me.

"I've got your dinner."

I smiled as I looked at her. "Thanks." She handed me the food, and she sat down on the bed beside me, the battle-ax she had before gone.

"So, what level are you?"

I took a bite out of a piece of bread then looked at her. "Level 1." She looked at me shocked but laughed a second later.

"Oh, you're messing with me; there no way someone your age is level 1."

I grabbed my book, then opened it to the first page then held it out to her. She looked at the book, then found my image then read over the page. She looked between me and the book a few times then spoke.

"How are your stats so high with such a low level?"

She shrugged my shoulders as I looked at her. "Don't know but, hey got to start somewhere." She looked at me for a moment, then set the book and walked out of the cell. I laughed a little then started to eat the food. When I had finished the meal, I set the tray over in the side and laid down on a small bed in the corner. I woke up to someone grabbing me and pulled me out of bed. I looked up at the offender and saw it was the cowgirl.

"Come with me."

She pulled my sword off her back then dropped it in front of me. I grabbed it, then she lead the way out of the castle. "Why are you doing this?" She looked back at me, a frown on her face.

"Twilight is going to have you sent to the capital prison for a trumped-up charge of peeping on her. We may be her party, but we don't think the same as her, so I'm letting you escape."

"Thanks, I promise I'll pay you back someday." She smiled as she pointed to the main door. I nodded, then ran up to the door, then pushed it open and ran out into the night. As I ran, I saw a train station and decided that it was my best bet. The train was starting to move, and I jumped on the back of the car on the train. The train began to speed up, heading away from the town. I sighed as I sat on the roof, watching the town fade away. As I rode down the tracks, I grabbed the book, then started to look and tried to find something that would help me. Nothing was there that could help me, so I closed the book and drew my sword and laid back on the train top. "Damn, I can't believe I was going to go to prison for something that happened by accident." I closed my eyes as I laid on the roof, waiting to see where we were going. I rode off, waiting for the train to stop.

Next morning Twilight pov

"WHERE IS HE!?"

I screamed as we ran around the town looking for the redhead swordsman. We saw him gone when I woke up this morning, and we couldn't find him anywhere. I stomped down the main street wanting to blast his face with a massive fireball.

"Twilight!"

I looked up at the sky as Rainbow came flying down, bow in hand. She landed and looked at me with a frown on her face. A few people saw a man jump onto the top of the last train to manehatten. It's been twelve hours, so odds are he'll long gone by now." I kicked a stone, and I looked up the road. I looked at the train station and feel my blood start to boil as I looked at it. 'I'm going to find you!'

I opened my eyes and saw the forest ran too after getting out of the city. 'I guess I should get moving.' I stood up and grabbed my sword, quickly pulling it from the ground. I hooked the sword on my back then pulled my book back out. I turned back to my image and saw my stats again.

'Um, maybe I can find a guild to join up with my level needs to be higher through. Those girls questioned it, and I can't have anyone else questioning it.' I closed my book then put it back into my side bag. I stepped out to the tree line and onto a dirt road. "I'm going on a quest." I headed back into the city, heading for the guildhall. 'Hopefully, I can get work without being part of the guild.' I followed the signs and quickly found the massive guildhall. I smiled as I walked up to the doors the pushed one door open. I saw dozens of people walking around, all the armor and weapons. People of all heights and sizes and so many looked so experienced. 'Hm, I may have more work ahead of me then I thought.' I walked in and closed the door as I walked up to a counter. A woman dressed in a butler-like suit. I walked up to the bar, and one stepped up to me. She was a darker-skinned with an almost scale-like pattern in her skin. With a set of small horns on the sides of her head bearly covered with red hair.

"Hello sir, how can I help you?"

"Yes miss, I was wondering if you have any work for someone looking for work."

"Are you looking to join the guild?"

I nodded as I looked at her. "Not at this time, but I need to get some income coming in." She smiled then pointed to the right wall. I looked over to the wall and saw a smaller listing board.

"That board is for people of the city, and if you take a few, you can earn a pretty big pay for a day's work."

I smiled as I looked at her. "Thank you, miss." I turned then walked over to the board, but a few guys stood in front of me. One was like the women, and the other was a mage in a long white cloak with a staff with a blue crystal.

"Well, well, fresh meat."

I nodded my head then turned to go around them. "I've not interested in fighting you guys please let me find some work." I walked around them, but the scaled guy grabbed my shoulder. My body lashed out, and I grabbed him, then kicked his legs out from under him, then threw him over my shoulder; he slammed down to the ground and coughed out the air from his body. I let his arm go and looked down at his body and saw he was out cold. 'Did my body just react on its own?' I looked at the mage, and he back up, hands up in the air staff on the ground.

"Hey, hey, we're cool. I didn't mean any harm."

I nodded then walked up to the board. I looked around the board and found two for slaying slimes and a few timber wolfs. I took both then walked over to the counter. The same woman looked at me, shocked as I sat the posters down. "I'll take this, two ma'am." She snapped out of it, then nodded as she quickly pulled out a quill and a sheet of paper.

"Ok, all I need to finish this is a name to take down."

I stopped then smiled and adopted my new name for this crazy new life.

"Fencer Vargas."

She smiled as she wrote my new name down before I walked away posters in hand. I walked out of the hall then walked through seeing everything. I walked for half an hour until I walked into a field sword in hand as I looked around. I need to collect twenty slime cores that held their bodies together. I looked around then noticed a few blue and green blobs moving around near a small stream. I smiled as I walked over to them, then swung my sword down at one. It seemed to hit the slime three times. A bar appeared above the little monster, and as my blade hit, it dropped a red line like in the game. It turned black; then it turned to a blue mud pie with what looked like a blue gem. I grabbed the core then put them in a bag I got from the scaled woman. I quickly started to kill off the others and soon had the twenty I needed. I put my sword on my back then looked around, wondering where I would find the timbers wolfs. 'Well, guess the forest in the area will work.' I started to jog up into the forest then I heard someone yelling.

"AH!"

I drew my sword and ran in quickly, trying to find the screaming as it seemed to be coming from all around the forest. Then through the trees, I spotted a blue glow, and I jumped through an opening in the trees. I landed and saw two women in a blue dome with a vastly large wooden wolf with more than a dozen smaller ones around the big one. The two women were a little of the younger side, maybe seventeen or sixteen. One is leaning on a tree holding onto her shoulder. Her shoulder had a large amount of blood coming from a wound on it as well as her leg. She was a large slight brown-skinned woman with long white hair with purple bangs with what looked like gauntlets. The other women were a whiter skinned woman a few shades lighter than mine way. She was must be a magician's aid suit with a long cape and hat with stars all over them both with a wand in hand. The woman saw me as I looked at them.

"HELP!"

I gripped the handle of my sword with both hands, and a few wolves turned to look at me. "Well, fuck it!" I took off then slashed the first wolf when it jumped at me. The heat of the blade from my fire element made burns for on the wolf as I drug the edge along the wolf's whole side. It dropped down, died, and then a slashed formed on the right rib cage of the giant wolf. The red line formed above it, then a part of it went down. I realized I didn't have to fight the boss if I can kill enough of the underlings. I jumped at another wolf then took off the wolf's head, dropping it to the ground with a slash formed on the back of the neck of the monster. I jumped back when two tried to jump me from both sides and noticed a blue bar in the far right bottom of my vision. I looked down at it then saw it was a brave buster gage, and it was a quarter full. 'Oh, fuck ya.' I jumped back at one of the wolves and cut two more of them down two more marks formed finally naming the beast stop attacking the dome. Now all of them looked at me, and I stared back at the nine of them. "Get out of here! I'll buy you as much time as I can!" The woman nodded as they beast charged me as her dome dropped. I ducked and dodged as they jumped and snapped at me. I swung my sword at them, cutting off legs and cutting deep into the wooden bodies.

"Come on!"

I heard the women yelling out to me, but leaving now wasn't an option. I looked down at the bar, and I need a little more, and I could hammer them with it when it's full. I kept fighting, and once only fore small ones were left, the giant started to attack as well. I dodged a paw that slammed down and destroyed the ground sending rocks flying, but then it turned so fast, and I couldn't block or dodge it. It slammed his back paw into my stomach and sent me flying through a tree and into a massive rock. I chacked up a mouth full of blood, and my health bar popped up. I had lost half of my health, and I fell to the ground, my body screaming as I tried to move the monsters getting close. I forced my body up slowly as they started to circle me; I used my sword as I staff as the boss monster snarled down at me.

"Cast fire!"

I looked passed the wolves and saw the mage casting a spell. I fireball flew at the large timber wolf. It roared as it burned, and the last of the health was gone, then the other wolves caught fire. I smiled as the monsters died around me, and I noticed a giant orb about the size of the of a bowling ball in the burning body of the wolf. But, my body had taken a nasty hit-making every breath I took hurt as some blood dripped out of my mouth.

"Hey!"

I looked up as the woman ran up a green bottle in hand. She grabbed me and shook my body, so as I tried to pass out.

"You have to drink this, hey!"

I looked at her, and she hard long silver-white hair with soft purple eyes. She wrapped her right arm around me, then pulled the top out with her teeth then pushed it to my lips.

"Drink it before you pass."

I opened my mouth, then she turned the bottle, and a sweet liquid filled my mouth, and I drank it as best I could.

"There, just give it a moment for the magic to heal you."

I finished drinking, then a green glow formed around my body, and the pain faded from my whole body. I looked at my health bar and saw it was short of full at eighty-eight percent; the pain ripped through my stomach. I jerked up out of her grip and grabbed my stomach. "Ah!" I grabbed the ground and grabbed my mouth.

"If you're going to throw up, it's fine, and it's normal for the first time you drink a healing potion."

I crawled away, and just like she said, I threw up. I coughed a few times as I rested on my knees, and she patted my back.

"Don't fight it and just empty your stomach."

I coughed a few more times, and dry coughed a few times, then I rubbed my mouth before getting back up on my feet. I grabbed my sword as I stood steadying using the sword. "Thanks." She smiled as she helped hold me up.

"No, thank you. Gilda and I wouldn't haven't survived."

"What happened?"

I pulled then blade from the ground; then, we started to talk as she walked around looking at me.

"We were gathering herbs and some healing spring water. As we walked out, they started to charge us, and one jumped on Gilda and bit into her pretty hard."

"I came when I heard a scream, and that's what brought me running." She smiled as she looked at me.

"Well, we're grateful you came to the aid. But, let's get the cores before we go."

I smiled, then pulled out my book then turned to her. "Hold still for a second." The light shined on her then opened up to her image. I looked at her name.

From the boss, I pulled out a massive core, and Trixie looked at me, shocked.

I dropped the orb inside the bag, and she gave me all the standard spheres. I smiled then saw I had eight more then I needed. I nodded then put them inside my pocket, wanting to try and raise my level a little.

"Come on, and I don't want to attacked again."

I nodded then we rushed out of the forest back into the field. I looked at the other woman as she sat on the grass, counting a few cores.

"Gilda smile cores?"

The woman looked at her, an annoyed look on her face.

"We need the bits, and they may be low value, but enough of them can pay the bills. As for this new guy, thanks for the save I was in a bad spot when you showed up."

We walked back into the guildhall and turned in our items, and they pulled out the boss core shocking everyone. They gave her a bonus of a hundred and fifty bits. I got fifteen bits from all my cores then Trixie slid some bits over to me. I looked at her, and she smiled as Gilda held a thump up. I looked at the two, and they pointed to the mainboard.

"We're going to go on another quest, you game?"

I smirked, then nodded my head, and they smiled as they looked at me. We walked over to the board.

"With you on board, then we have a lot more help so we can take on the higher-paying quests."

I nodded, then we all looked around, and Trixie spotted one.

"Here's a good one."

She pulled down a piece of paper with the image of a large group of skeleton drawn on it.

"We'd have to go and wipe out a hoard of undead that comes out at night in the cities graveyard. We'll need to get some more stuff, and nightfall is about seven hours away. The reward is based on the number and rank of undead we kill. Low-level undead will fetch us two bits each and much higher rank ranging from five or ten for low-level liches or any undead knights. Vegas, we'll go and come back to get you in a few hours."

I nodded, then they walked off, and I walked back up to the counter. "Hello, miss?"

The same girl from before walked over.

"Yes?"

"Do you know where I can get a room?" She smiled as she looked at me then pulled open a drawer under the countertop. She dipped a quill in an inkwell then wrote something down, and after a second, she passed it to me. I looked down at it then saw the name Slivers moonlight.

"It's the name of a house where an older woman rents to members before they sign up and join the guild. It's right down the road, and you make a right and then a left, and you'll see a large house. I think she rents for fifteen bit beats renting for a hundred or two hundred bits."

I smiled then nodded as I looked at her. "Thank you?"

"Call me, Star."

"Very well, thank you, Star." I waved goodbye, then turned and walked out of the guild. Then, I followed her directions and found the house she was talking about. It was a large house with a stone wall around it.

"Hello, sir."

I looked back and saw a woman with a cart and two men. The two were the same as before, but the women's hairs were starting to turn grey in a church like dress on with a short coat with white gloves. I bowed to her and stood straight back up as I looked at her. "Ma'am, I'm Fencer Vargas, and the people at the guild said I could rent a room here before joining the guard." She smiled as she looked at me, then walked over and held a hand out to me.

"Honey Bee, and if you want to rent, then you help around the house as well as pay fifteen bits a month."

I smile then nodded as I shock her hand. "Yes, ma'am, and here."

I pulled off my bit bag, and she took it. "There are sixty-five bits in there I'd like to go ahead and pay for three months." She smiled the took forty-five bits out. She put them in her bit bag, then gave me mine back, and I tied the bag back to my side. "Now that rent is paid, what would you like me to do for my first task?" She laughed then nodded her head as she looked over to a pile of wood.

"Please chop up some of that wood so we can have a fire tonight. Then then, I'll have your room ready."

"Yes, ma'am."

I pulled my sword off, then walked over to the wood and set up a chop block. I set one on then lifted my sword over my head. 'I need to train my swings and get good and used to this thing.' I set about cutting each piece into four pieces. Half an hour passed before I stopped and saw on the chopping block then wiped the sweat off my head. I looked back and saw only a little bit was left to be cut up.

"Oh, my!"

I turned my head and saw Honey Bee looking at me with a cup of tea on a tray. I smiled as I looked at her then stood up. "Give me another ten minutes, then I'll have the last of it cut." She held the tray with one hand the waved the other.

"No, no, that is more than enough. Honesty, we only need a little. What you cut will be more than enough for a month."

I smiled then put my sword on my back. I walked over and gave me the cup to which I downed it as I love sweet tea. Once finished, I chewed on the ice then gave her the cup back. "Thank you very much, I needed that. Oh, before I forget, two girls will come to get me so we can go on a quest later tonight."

"Oh, what kind?"

"Some undead in the graveyard at night. I'm of it as a trial run before forming a party." She nodded as we started to walk to the front door.

"Smart, making sure you work and fight well is very smart."

I smiled as we walked in, then she leade me to a room.

"Have a good night."

I nodded, then I opened the door then I looked around the room. It was a large room. There was a large single bed with a desk beside it with a nightstand on the other side. I walked int and saw a small restroom door open with a closet on the other side. I took my sword off then laid it on the headboard as I sat down on the bed, then pulled out my book and opened it to my first page and saw my name flashing. I tapped it then saw my level had gone up. I was level one, but I was now at level six. "What the?" I saw a new bar at the bottom of the image.

Exp point bar 880 total points

'What the hell? Brave frontier didn't have an experience point system outside of the arena. Wait, wasn't Fencer Vargas in the last summoner as well? Does that mean I'm the Fencer Vargas from the second game?' I turned to the back, seeing the circle glowing. I tapped it, then it flew up, and I saw the center flashing. I touched it, then a list starting with me popped up. It had Gilda and Trixie along with the others but not the puffy haired girl who ran off. I touched my image then it appeared in the center of the circle. I then topped the top circle, a then the image of the wolfs showed up. 'It is like the last summoner, so I can both fight and fuse to boost my level!' I smiled as I tapped all the circles then fused them, and in a flash, all the energy from them flew out of the book and flowed into me. I saw my level shot up to eleven, and my stats boosted up as well.

'Damn, my stats are crazy as hell, maybe I should party up with those girls if I keep leveling up, then I can payback the cowgirl in cash. I smiled as I closed my book, then I laid back on the bed.

"Hey, Vagas!"

I jumped as the door flew open, and I grabbed my sword, ready to fight. I saw the girls Gilda in anew chest plate and shoulder guards, and Trixie had a bread new staff. It was a large staff almost as tall as her body. I sigh as I nodded my head, looking at them. "You two need to knock before coming into a room." Gilda laughed as she walked over and grabbed my arm.

"Come on! The sun's going to set in two hours!"

I grabbed my sword as the two pulled me down the hall. I pulled myself free as Honey looked on a smile on her face.

"I'm sorry, but no overnight guest Mr, Vagas."

I blushed as they pulled me out of the front door. I sighed as I started to jog behind the two of them as I set my sword on my back. We slowed down to a walk as they started to talk.

"So, do you think a lich will be there too?"

"You never know, a Lich or undead knights could have formed by now if the undead have leveled up any."

I listened in as we walked up to a large set of iron gates.

"We have an hour, so let's get sent up and wait." They nodded, then I pushed the rusted gate open as far as I could. We broke up heading doe different areas of the graveyard. The two of them walked to the east and

I sat on the ground my back on a rundown tomb. The sun had been down for an hour; then, I started to hear them.

"Rrrraagghhh."

I looked up, seeing a tone of low-level undead that looked just like I'd seen before. Six feet tall with torn up clothes and had a sword or spear in hand.

"Ya, they seem to be normal undead. Vagas will be fine dealing with these guys."

"Ya, I was worried about splitting up, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wipes out his half before we get halfway through this hoard."

I nodded as I charged in fist raised as Trixie cast defense boost my armor. I threw my first punch breaking the skull of the first skeleton then grabbed the spear it was holding. I turned swinging the spear quickly taking out the undead around me the cores in their chest were falling as they died. "Easy payday and experience!" I kept swinging, taking them down with Trixie picking off the ones that got behind me.

"Flare Ride!"

We looked up as a wave of flame flew over the hill heading straight for us. I jumped through the dead, but we were too late. The flames ran over us, but as I held my arms up to protect my face, but I wasn't getting burned. I uncovered my face and saw the flames going around Trixie and me, but the undead was being burned to ashes.

"FUCK!"

We watched as Vargas flew over the graves and stabbed his sword into the ground. We ran up to him as a group of higher-level undead knights came walking over burns all over their armor and bones. "How many!?" I slammed my gauntlets together as Vargas stood sword ready.

"Think all that's left is ten. There were more, but my Flare Ride took out the weaker ones."

I nodded, then Trixie cast more spells.

"Protection and attack boost!"

I smiled, and a smirk formed on Vargas's face.

"Let's do this, you undead freaks!"

He started to run at the group, and I smiled like his way of fighting. I jumped into the air, my wings forming. I climbed higher into the sky looking for the lich or necromancer controlling the undead. I didn't find either, but I did see something glowing in the center of the graveyard.

"Gilda!"

I looked back down, seeing Trixie and Vargas getting surrounded. Vargas was holding better then Trixi, but his armor and sword were taking a real beating. But, three undead knights lay on the ground. "I think I see what's making them undead just hold out for a minute!" I flew down, seeing the light on top of a tomb. I saw a massive undead core fixed to the front of the tomb. I pulled my right back and spikes formed on both knuckles sets. "Foe Breaker!" I delivered three powerful shots to the center of the core cracking and breaking it. When it was smashed, the undead erupted into purple flames, but I could still hear fighting. I flew back, seeing the undead knights still fighting with Trixie and Vargas. I landed on top of one of the more burnt knight. A baseball-sized core fell from its chest, then I grabbed another one then slammed my fist into the back of the skull of the next knight.

"About time!"

I looked back at Vargas as I cut the head off the undead knight in front of him. We quickly finished off the last of them and I smiled as I looked at our new party member.

'One more level, and I can see if I can evolve.' I closed my book before I stood from my bed then grabbed my sword, and put it on my back. 'It's been a week, so I guess I can join up with the guild now.' I walked out of the room, seeing the new women coming out of the room next to me. She was a woman as tall as me with long dark purple hair with bright yellow eyes with an hourglass figure. She wore a set of purple armor with a crescent moon with a star behind it.

"Hello."

I smiled as I nodded to her. "Going to the guildhall?" She smiled then nodded her head as she rested a hand on her iron sword. I also noticed I was a few inches taller than her but only by three inches.

"Yes, oh, and my name is Crescent Sapphire, but call me Sapphire."

I smiled as I held a hand out to her. "Fencer Vargas, nice to meet you." She smiled, then took the hand and shook it. We started to walk, and I noticed my book's gem was glowing from my new hips side holder. "What the?" We stopped, then I pulled my book out, and it scanned her. Then the book flew open to the near back. An image shot up, but I was confused. Her stats were blacked out, and her image was fussy, blocking the woman's picture. I looked down at to see she had turned white as she looked at me. "Not going to ash but here, so we're even." I turned back to the front page then tapped on my slot. Her eyes went wide when she saw my stats then snatched the book from my hand. "Hey!" She looked at me with a smile.

"Party up with me! I need someone who can help me fight stronger monsters."

I took my book back then put it back in its holster as I looked at her. "First, no, second, I already have a party, but If Trixie and Gilda don't mind, you can join up with us for a quest." She smiled then started to walk faster, and I walked behind her the blacked-out lines really bothering me. But, I put it in the back of my mind as we walked out of the house then started walking down the street.

"So, why did you want to be an adventure?"

looked down at her as she looked up at me, a smile on her face. "I had nothing else to do, so I started fighting monsters." She looked at me then laughed a little as she looked at me then cupped her face as she laughed.

"You're honest, at least."

I smiled then as we walked up to the guildhall.

"Hey, Vargas!"

I looked over and saw the girls. "Trixie, Gilda, what are the two of you up to?" They smiled as they walked over the new gear polished. Trixie had on a new outfit. Gilda looked at Sapphire as she stood beside me. Gilda smiled then jabbed her elbow into my chest.

"Well, well! Vargas has a girl with him today. Who is she? your girlfriend or maybe a lover?"

I blushed, then I shoved her back as Sapphire laughed a little blush on her face. "For the love of! NO! She's living in Honey's house, and we walked here together. But, I was hoping we could let her join us for a quest." She smiled then looked back at Trixie.

"What do you say, Trixie?"

She smiled as she looked at me.

"If Vargas thinks she's fine, then I say I'm all for it."

I smiled as Gilda locked her arm around Sapphire's neck.

"Your in for it now! Will work you and Vargas to death."

She broke out laughed and to her credit, Sapphire laughed some too. Once they laughed themselves out, we walked into the hall. The three of them when to find a job while I walked over to the counter. Star spotted me then quickly walked over a smile on her face.

"Hello, Vargas, how are you doing today?"

I smiled as I leaned on the count as I talked with her. "Good, and I need to sign up with the guild." Star smiled then pulled out the papers, then we filled them out. Once I was done with the paperwork, she came out from around the counter, then I caught sight of around bubble butt with wide thick hips. 'Dear god.' She didn't seem to notice as she turned and I followed her through a door beside the counter. We walked down a long hall then she stopped at a set of double doors. She knocked, then a male voice came from the other side. It was a rocky and rough voice, but it was followed by a soft tone like a grandfather would have.

"Yes?"

"Guild master, we have a new member who needs to be level tested."

I heard something getting moved, then a footstep followed by the sound of wood on wood. A second later, the door opened, and I looked at an older man with a leg in a cast with a cane. The man was clearly elderly with a long whitebeard with a head full of white hair. He had a dark scar running down his right eye and face.

"Thank you, miss Star I'll take it from here."

Star bowed then looked at me. "I look forward to seeing you again." I nodded, then she walked off as I locked eyes with the Guild master. With a smile, he moved aside as best he could while supporting himself on his cane. I walked in, then I closed the door and held out my arm to him. He smiled then put a hand on my arm, then I helped him back over to his desk. I helped his sit down then walked over to a wall. I took my sword off my back then leaned it on the wall away from us. Then I walked over to a chair in front of the desk and took a seat. He smiled, then cleared his throat.

"First, I'd like to thank you for helping me back over to the desk. Now, Before we take the level test, I need to ask you a few things."

"Yes, Sir."

He smiled then pulled out a few documents from a draw. "I need your stats and what party you're with."

"Well, I'm part of a party, but I don't know the name, but the other members are Trixie and Gilda." He looked up at me then laughed as he shook his head then wrote down a name. I looked at it to see the name of my party.

'Monsters fall, hm, not bad.'

"Now, as for your stats, do you happen to know them?"

I nodded then pulled my book out. It scanned him, then flipped to his image. I saw the man and his name.

"Damn, I wouldn't want to fight you." I closed it then held it out to him. He smiled, then took the book and opened the book up and saw my icon. He touched it, then my stats popped out. He looked surprised then looked back at me.

"How are your stats so high?"

I shrugged as I looked at him, then he closed the book and sat it down. "How high were your parent's levels when they had you?"

Thinking quickly, I spoke up knowing my new few words would make or break me. "I don't know I was raised by my grandparents, and they've passed now, and I never asked why?" He nodded then wrote down my stats.

"Well, the higher your parents level, the higher a baby's base stats are. Your parents must have been powerful for your stats to be like they are at this level. But it's not surprising that you don't know that. Mostly only people who care to get in good with the gods know that fact."

I remembered what I told that woman, then I thought this is the best beat to learn some more. "Speaking of gods, I have a question." he looked at me, and I spoke up. I didn't learn many of the gods but, before coming to this city, I meet with someone in the mountain during a thunderstorm who called himself Thunder God Eze." He stopped writing the looked up at me.

"What was that last part?"

He seemed panicked then I repeated the name. "Eze, he's the one who gave me the book." He looked at me for a second, then nodded as he looked at me.

"Never mind, I have to check something, but all that aside, I have everything I need, come back later today, and Star will give you your guild card."

I nodded then got my book and sword before walking out, knowing sooner or later I'll get someone's attention. 'Sure I'm taking a rise, but as long as I keep rising in levels.' I walked into the main hall, and I saw the girls over in a corner, talking. I walked over to them, and Trixie noticed me walking over to them.

"About time Vargas."

I smiled as I walked over to them, and Trixie held out the wanted poster. A group of lizardmen was attacking farmers near the capital city. Still, the locals weren't paying, but if we took it, the Princess was offering us rewards for any dragon cores. I looked at her, and she smiled up at me. "Why a dragon?" She smirked then pulled a book out of her bag on the back of her belt. She opened to a marked page then held it out to me.

Lizardmen cores

Twenty bits for five male cores

Female Lizardmen

fifty bits for ten cores

Dragon boss care

five hundred for one core

I was shocked at the bits you could get for these things then. I nodded as I looked at them, then the others stood. "So, where is canterlot?" We started to walk, as Trixie explained.

"Canterlot is about four hours away by train and well be staying overnight. These things tend to travel in a huge group, and we're not far from ranking up."

"What are we now?"

"Novice next up, it amateur."

I nodded, then a question came to mind. "How many ranks are there?" She pulled her book back out them turned threw a few pages, and pointed her finger near the top of the page.

"One hundred, the lowest is rookie, and the highest is Thanatos. Amateur is second from bottom wit were far from high ranking."

I nodded, and we walked down the streets. We stopped at a few stalls getting some food, then we started to head for the train station. While chewing on a piece jerky. Suddenly a warning sounded, and we looked around. A warning siren started to sound as I looked around.

"The monster siren!"

I looked around as the people around us ran away, and Gilda grabbed my arm.

"Vargas, We have to get to the town hall monster are coming to the city!"

I nodded, then we took off in a run; a lot of the adventures were running in the same way. I saw archer, swordsmen, mages, and what looked like summoners. We rushed up to the city all, and the mayor, if I had to guess, was ready to start speaking. Troops moved out around rushing people into broad and robust looking buildings.

"Adventures!"

We stopped then looked up at the mayor, and I saw it was an older woman with black hair that is starting to grey. She was in a suit with her top open with a pair of perky c cup breasts if I had to guess.

"Adventures, we have a class C horde of trolls and ogre heading for the city! They number around four-hundred each. We have an hour until they arrive, so we're going to have to hold until the raid units arrive from the capital. So, here's how we're going to go about this! Swordsmen, Guardians, and warrior will serve as the first squad into combat, and the support mages will focus one healing magic after casting defense spells on our front line adventures. Once they have weakened the first line Brawler, and summoners will act as the second squad with archers supporting then while the survivors are healed by healers. Once the wounded are taken from the field, the supports will be supplied with mane potions, then they will recast their spells. Now, follow the city guard to the battlements on the city's edge!"

We quickly moved out after she finished talking. As we ran, we were broke up, moving to different areas as we reached the battlements. This part of the city seemed medieval by comparison. Gilda and Sapphire ran out with me to be in front of the battlements taking parts of the land in the outer works while the others set up on the walls. As much as I hated, we started to wait.

"Line up!"

We looked over to a guard in gold armor with two huge bags next to him. We lined up, and he started to hand out healing potions as well as black envelops. "Oh." Gilda nodded as she spoke up.

"Ya, their will letters for any of us who die in the fighting."

I frowned then looked at her. "You and Sapphire stay close worst come. I'll use my trump card to take as many of them as I can."

"Wait, you mean you power move Flare ride what about the others?"

I smiled as we started to walk forward. "it's fine, I made that attack to destroy my foes and protect my allies. As long as I see you as some once I consider you an alley, the flames will not harm you." She smiled, then punched my arm, making me laugh. We took our potions and envelopes then walked over to some trees near the outer wall. I crushed the paper in my hand, then, to my surprise, it caught fire. I dropped it to the ground then put the potion in the whole part of my chest plate.

"Why did you burn that?"

I looked at Sapphire and closed my eyes as I pulled my sword off my back then stabbed it into the ground. then sat down and leaned back on the sword. "I don't have any family, so I have no one to leave my gear too." They looked at me, and I closed my eye, wanting to get a little rest.

Trixie pov

I looked down at the fighters and found Gilda and Vargas sitting a ways away under some trees. Vargas seemed to be asleep with his back on that massive sword. He would swing around with easies. I smiled as I looked at the redhead swordsmen who's made our lives so much easier. With him, we've managed stronger monsters, and my level has even increased by two levels. I laughed into my hand as I looked down at him then blushed as I realized how I was acting.

"Trixie!, Gilda!"

I turned my head and saw the guild master with guards helping me. I quickly rushed over to him, and he saw me running you. "Guild master!" He looked at me and smiled as he hoppled over quickly.

"Thank the sun, I found you! Where is Vargas?! I need him at the guildhall now!"

"Wha..."

"Rrrraaaaggghhh!"

We stopped, then we looked back, and my blood ran cold. The monsters were here far sooner then we thought they would, and there was a boss monster. I cast an enhance sight spell and looked out over the field. I spotted the ogres first and as they were almost nine-foot-tall with bold heads with thin coats and pants with loincloths over the pants. They were carrying one-sided battle-axes.

Then I looked at the trolls a saw they were a beast type troll. Each stood almost ten-feet-tall. They had a massive overbite with fangs poking out with little eyes with bat-like ears. Their body were hunched over with long bulky arms ending in claws. Their legs were short and stumpy with a hoof-like foot with claws.

Then, I looked at the boss monster who stood twenty feet tall. It was a massive arthrogryposis snow wolf with what looked like fire running through its arms and legs with chains wrapped around its body. The claws were as big as any man or woman, but it was walking far behind the others.

"By Celestia...."

I nodded, then we heard a few battles cries as the swordsman with Vargas in the charge with Gilda and Sapphire close behind. We snapped into action and started casting booster spells. Everyone who had any long-range spells began to support them with attacks. 'I can't believe this is happening!'

Fencer Vargas pov

"Come on!" I jumped at a bat-eared freak, and it raised it's arm to block the strike. It threw it's arm up then was about to attack me with its other arm, but Gilda slammed a punch straight into its gut. Then, Sapphire jumped up, then slashed the things arm. It screamed, then I jumped up, stabbing it in the stomach the strike from all of us taking it to the ground as the others started to fight with the others. I pulled my sword out, then cut its head off, and a large racketball core rolled out of its neck. Gilda grabbed it than before we charged another. This time Sapphire lead the charge with me following as the second strike. But the whole time we were watching the wolf coming closer.

"For Celestia's sake, that thing is slow but looked at the size!"

I jumped back from another monster that almost hit me with an ax. "You two got that one!?" I dodged again, and Gilda yelled back to me.

"Ya! You take care of that ogre!"

I smiled, then charged the ogre as it swung the ax at me. I ducked then spun on the ground then turned as I got close to the ogre's knees. I slashed the side of it's left knee then jumped up, running my blade through the underside of the head. It shook then fell back to the ground as I pulled my sword out. "I'm pushing forward!"

"YA!"

A few others charged with me, and I noticed some of this guy and girls were much higher level but seemed to have gear only slightly better mine. I smile as I charge with his battle-hardened adventures. I ran low cut out legs, and others jumped up, killing them, and I snagged every six but cores but threw then to the others.

"Behind you!"

I turned in time to dodge an attack from an ogre. I turned fast then slashed its throat, quickly killing it. The core flew out then I threw it to Gilda as she came running. She nodded as the monsters started pulling back, but I wasn't having that. My burst bar was full, and I ran after then flames formed on the blade. "Flare Ride!" I threw the sword down and sent a wave of fire at the running monsters. I roosted a considerable number of them. I landed and watched as many of them fell to the ground burning, but the attack didn't reach the boss. I heaved as I looked at them, then Gilda ran up beside me and grabbed my cape and shirt, and shook me.

"That, our Vargas!"

I smiled as I wrapped an arm around her shoulder as the boss stopped moving. But, we could see the monster forming around it. I laughed as I wrapped an arm around Gilda's waist and lifted her up, making her laugh.

"Hey, were switching out! Anyone able to help the wounded!"

I set Gilda down, then we started to move out with the summoners and other brawlers moving out, forming a line. I put my sword on my back then helped up a guy with a wounded leg, and I saw Gilda carrying a woman on her back. We hurried back as fast as we could and ran up to the healers I sat the man down then I noticed the sound of marching. I looked up from the man and saw a large group of men and women marching in. In the center was a taller woman with I long cape on with a head full of long blue hair with a crown on her head. She had on a blue military uniform with a pair of black combat boots. But, the thing I noticed more was her eyes.

"Attention adventures!"

Everyone looked at them as the women walked up in front. She looked around, and her gaze landed on me.

"You, your a fire type swordsman?'

I nodded as I looked at her. "Ya?"

She nodded me then waved for me to follow her.

"Come on with me, I need a fire type, and I don't have one in my personal guard detail."

"Now hold on." She stopped as she looked at me then as I looked back at her. "I'm sorry, but your not my number one priority at this moment those monsters are. That's boss out there my priority so you can wait until we deal with this. She smiled then moved her cape back, showing a sword on her right side.

"I think I can work with that. Been I while since someone stood up to me."

She smiled, and I nodded as she looked at me.

"So, how about the two of us charge the boss?"

I raised an eyebrow as I looked at her. "You think well be enough? I'd like to end this as quickly as we can." She laughed a little then crossed her arms.

"Oh, I like you."

I laughed a little, then I looked over at Gilda. "You in Gilda." She nodded, then I looked back at her. '

"My guards can clear us a path, then we can go after this boss."

I nodded as I looked at her, then we started to walk back out swords and gantlets ready.

"What's your name?"

"Fencer Vargas, and this is Gilda."

She smiled then nodded the guard rushed out with the unwounded adventures following them. Guards quickly started to work their way through, and I looked at her. "Are you the raid unit commander?"

"No, I'm Princess Luna, goddess of the moon."

I looked at her for a minute then drew my sword think I could deal with that later. An ogre broke through the line, and I ran ahead and jumped up. I slashed the ogre's face killing it, then I jumped forward. I got ahead of the guard then started cutting legs and stomachs. Guards quickly followed, killing the wounded enemies as I ran. Soon enough, we reached the boss, and it let out a godly screamed, and a shockwave followed it. The breath was unbelievable. It smelt like rooting and decaying meat mixed in with shit. I almost threw up, but I held it down and charged this thing.

"Stop!"

It raised its arm then threw it down in an attempt to crush me. I barely managed to dodge the attack, then turned and stabbed my blade into the wrist of the boss. It roared into the arm and threw it's arm up. I grabbed ahold of its almost ash-like fur as it swung its arm around like crazy. Then it turned its arm then opened its mouth. "Shit!" I let go then slammed my feet into the arm, making my blade come out. I fell and grabbed the hair on the chin then stabbed the underside of the jaw but the smell. My god, the smell was beyond anything. I pulled my blade out then dropped down to the chest as the others finally got into attack range. I grabbed hold of the chain then started to climb up the chairs.

"Go for the eyes I'll be up there in a second!"

I looked back at Princess Luna as she cut out part of the leg. I slashed the chest of the monster then slashed the other side as the others hammered the legs as I got to to the shoulder and saw Luna. She had wings on her back, and her hair had turned into the night sky. I shook it off while almost being thrown from the monster's shoulder. I climbed back up to the head as Luna stabbed and slashed at it. I climbed up then stabbed the right eye, but I had pushed too far. The beast threw it's head to the side, throwing me, then it turned my sword still in its eye. "Fuck!" It threw its arm and finally hit me.
I was sent flying to the ground, rolling and bounce on the ground. I came to a stop after a few more bounces than slammed into a hill. Blood dripped from my nose, ears, eyes, and mouth. But I could still move. "F-fuck me." I pulled my damaged chest plate off, grabbing my healing potion, the quickly popping the top off, then drank it. A second later, my body popped, and my blood was absorbed back into my body. My body was still full of pain, but I could still stand up, but blood again came from my mouth and my right eye.

"Your alive!?"

I looked up, seeing Gilda with a set of large brown wings on her back. I held my right shoulder pain pulsing from it. "Ya, barely, but I need to get to my sword. I have enough left for one more Flare Ride in me. Do you think you can get me back to my sword?" She nodded, then fly down and grabbed me, pulling my good arm over her shoulder.

"Do you think you can kill it?"

"Ya, what about the princess?"

"She struggling but slowly winning."

I nodded, then she took out quickly, taking us back tot he battle. "Get higher I need to fall and land on my swords handle!"

"Got it!"

She did as I asked then when we were above it, I let her go falling for the head of these monster. Then to my luck, it roared into the air from a good slash to the other eye, and Luna saw me. I slammed my foot into the butt of my sword, forcing it all the way in, then I yelled out. "FLARE RIDE!" Flames erupted out from the eyes, and then flames flew from its mouth and ears. I smiled as I started to fall as the monster turned black then imploded as I fell from the body turned to a boss core looking like the night sky. Gilda was flying to try and catch me, but blue energy grabbed me before I could fall all the way. They flew down, and I saw her hands glowing with the same blue around her hands.

"I want a healer here, NOW!"

She sat me on the ground, and guards quickly formed a circle as a woman ran over to us. The glow stopped, and I tried to sit up. "I'm fine, god damn it." Gilda gently pushed me back down Luna, helping her.

"You took a bad hit, and you're lucky you're alive."

I sighed then laid back down as the healer started to cast healing magic on me. My boy soon stopped hurting as I lay there.

"Your sword."

I looked to the side, and a man laid my sword down on the ground beside me. Gilda sat down beside me, but the Princess stood beside me, her sword unsheathed with some monsters still around. "How many are left?" The Princess looked around then looked back at me.

"Maybe a few hundred or so of each kind. They'll run and take shelter in the forest now that the boss monster they were following is dead. The raid units will come to crush them. But, that core will bring you a lot of bits as we as the cores if the burnt monsters."

"No, you gather those see them and give them to the families of the fallen and see these as well."

I pulled my bag off my side and held it out to her. She took it as she sheathed her sword then kneeled down, resting on her knees. She opened the bag, then sight surprise formed on her face.

"My, there must be over forty cores in here."

I smiled as I looked at her as she looked down at me. "The boss core is more than enough for me, so please make sure the families of the fallen are taken care of. A soft smile formed on her face as she looked down at me.

"Your kind Sir Fencer."

I laughed as the healer finished, then I sat up and grabbed my sword, and Gilda helped me up. I looked at the Princess as she stood back, but. "Call me Vargas if you don't mind." I set my sword on my back then held a hand out to her. She smiled, tied the bag to her side, then took my hand and shook it.

"Then call me Luna, Vargas."

I smiled as I looked at her, then she waved them off to gather then cores I was giving her for the families. She walked with us as Gilda, and I grabbed the boss's core, which was easy as big as my chest.

"Hey!"

We looked over and saw the core in my arms. Her face looked excited as she looked at me.

"I knew that was your Flare ride I saw when the boss died!"

She ran overtaking Gilda and me to the ground, making me drop the core. I laughed as she almost chocked us as she hugged us, and Luna laughed as she looked down at us.

"I see you have a fangirl in your party."

I laughed as Trixie blushed as she jumped off us then I stood up as I walked over to the core picking it back up. "No, Trixie is just a charming but crazy woman Gilda is the same."

"HEY!"

"BUCKER!"

I dodged a rock thrown by Gilda in anger. I smiled as I looked at the two of them. "First round is one me tonight if the two of you will calm down." Trixie huffed, and Gilda gave me the finger. I laughed a little, then I looked at Luna. "You want a drink?" She smiled then nodded her head with a soft look in her eyes.

"If you'd have me drink with you."

I smiled then nodded, and we finally left the field. When I walked in wit the boss core, Star almost fainted as she looked at me. Right as we were about to go with nearly six hundred bits but was stopped by a hand. I turned, seeing our Guild master. "What's up?"

"You and the Princess to come with me."

We looked at each other, then I had Gilda and Trixie the small bar in the corner of the guildhall. Then we walked to the Guild masters office were two guards were waiting with that woman. We both stopped as we looked at one another as she sipped on some tea if I have to guess. In a second, a snarl formed on her face, then they threw the cup at me. I turned quickly, making the cup missed. "For the sake of the flames woman, what is wrong with you!"

"Shut up, pervert!"

"Quiet!"

I backed down, but this woman jumped up with her staff in hand. I grabbed my sword, ready for a fight, but Luna stopped her. Blue energy covered her body, then she spoke.

"You will stop now!"

She threw her back into the chair, then spoke with anger in her tone.

"I saw him as in defense of the city. I watched as he risked his life, attacking the boss alone. Then gave over a hundred cores to be sold to help the families of the fallen. I do not think he assaulted you like you told my sister and me."

I was angry and voiced it. "Assaulted! She knocked me out after that bastard Eze sent me to this crazy woman's house!" Luna looked at me, and she seemed to believe me.

"Vargas, Twilight, I have an easy way to tell what really happened. I can look into both your memories and see who's telling me the truth."

I let my sword handle go then crossed my arms. "I've got nothing to hide." She let Twilight go then she huffed as she fixed her dress.

"Me neither and when it showed your guilty, I want him asserted!"

I raised an eyebrow at her then I looked at Luna. "Go ahead, Luna." She smiled then turn and both her hands were glowing, then put her hands on the sides of my head, then she spoke.

"Close your eyes and think of the night she's talking about. And, so you know it will be like I am in your place, so I know what you were feeling and what you were feeling."

Luna pov

"I closed my eyes and stood in front of a fire covered gate."

It was a massive gate with stone carved like bat wings and a skull at the center and metal that looks like they were carved from the wall itself. At the base as what looked like fangs with two sleeves with fires burning on then at the top were two long sleeves of fire. The doors themselves looked like two eyes were at the top.

Gate

"A little strange, but this is kind of nice."

I walked over to the gate the pushed it open and saw darkness.

Luna in Vargas place

My body was aching all over, and I felt like my head was spinning.

'Wow, he must have taken a terrible hit.'

The next thing I felt was cold water hitting me. I was lying on the ground, then I noticed something pocking my side. Vargas opened his eyes and looked up and saw a Twilight looking down at him.

"Are you alive? If you're dead, can I have that book?"

I saw through his eyes and saw her bathrobe fall open, and Vargas saw her black lace bra and panties from under a bathrobe. "N-no." She blinked then looked down at her body. Her face turned bright red then she looked down at me.

"PERVERT!"

She brought the staff down quickly and, everything went black.

Fencer Vargas pov

My eyes snapped back up as luna let me go, and I grabbed the side of my head, and she did the same holding the same spot. "Damn, I felt it that time!" I held realized the pain was in my head then I stopped as I looked around. "The hell?" Luan nodded her head then looked at me as a snarl formed on her face. Her head snapped, and she glared at Twilight. I think her name was.

"How stupid are you!? You lied to us and wanted us to send him to the dungeon for what wasn't his fault!? Your bucking robe fell open it was your fault!"

She jumped at her, but I grabbed her and locked my arms around her as stomach as she kicked and yelled.

"Let me got! Let me go!"

I covered her mouth as I looked at Twilight. "Run! I'll keep her here as long as I can!" She didn't need to be told twice as she took off as fast as she could. "Luna, calm down!' She bit down on my hand and moved it as she started to thrash even more.

"NO, she has to pay! You have no idea what she said about you! She brought us here to capture or kill you for something she did!"

"it's fine!" She stopped struggling as she turned her head to look at me. "I'm going to let you go, but don't chase after her." She nodded, then I let her go, and she turned to look at me.

"You're fine with her telling people you tried to rape her?"

"I'm not, but if they believe her, that's fine. I have no interest in going back to that town. Plus, her party has a few good 'apples.' She looked at me then it hit her, and she smiled as she looked at me.

"I see, so there are some good apples in the bunch."

I smiled and nodded as I looked at her. "Now, how about that drink?" With a soft laugh, she nodded head.

"Yes, I think we both need one, oh, and sorry guild master. I looked over at the tired-looking man as he sat in his chair." He sighed then rubbed his eyes.

"I think it's time I have a conference room put in."

I laughed a little, and Luna did as well. "I'll see you later, Master." He nodded them, we walked out of the office and back to the main hall.

"Slut!"

"WHORE!"

I sighed as I started to hear spells flying. We rushed in then ran in seeing Trixie and Twilight going at it Gilda saw stuck to a wall by what looked like crystal to the wall. I had enough now, then pulled my sword off and walked up behind her then lifted it over my head with the flat part of the sword facing her. "Good night!" I slammed this on the top of her head, and she fell to the ground out cold. I put the sword on my back then looked at Trixie and saw she had a few burns on her arms and some frost on her leggings.

"Vargas!"

I nodded as I looked at her, then kneeled down and picked her up like a bride. I looked over at Star as she and the other office workers looked out from behind a magic barrier. "I need a place to put here where she'll be safe and if you can get some pain meds for her head." Star nodded, then quickly came around and waved for me to follow her. I followed her through another door on the other side of the hall and followed her to a small medical room.

"Here, you can lay her in one of these beds."

I nodded, then laid her down in the bed then left with Star getting something out of the medical cabinet. I walked back out of the door and bumped into Trixie as she tried to go in. She looked up at me, and I saw her burns were healed.

"Is she still out?"

I frowned, then pick her up, then threw her over my shoulder, and she tried to punch my back but hit my sword. She cursed up a storm, and she rubbed her fist, and I looked at her lower body before I walked out. She had a nice round ass with thick thighs with slender legs. I stopped before I opened the door, then lifted her and sat her back on her feet as I really looked down at her after I let her go. Trixie was a beautiful woman, and a thought ran through my mind.

"What?"

"Trixie why are you nd Gilda adenvtures?"

She looked up at me a surprised look on her face, then she nodded.

"I'll tell you later, let's go and get those drinks."

I nodded, and when she turned to open the door, I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, and she didn't fight me. "Sorry, but I'm just worried about you two. With everything, we saw today and the adventures we lose, got me to think of how dangerous this work is." She grabbed my hand then rubbed her thumb on my arm.

"We'll talk at the bar, ok?"

"Sure." I let her go, and she opened the door. We walked out of the side hall seeing Gilda and Luna's guards helping clean up the mess that was just made.

"Ah, Vargas and Trixie, are you ready?"

I nodded as I looked at Luan, her then I walked over to the somewhat busted wooden column on the sidewall. I walked up to the column then waved over Gilda. She walked over to me, and we both put our hands on the column then pushed with all our might. The column was pushed back into place and flyer as I'm going to call then flew over. They had wood and hammer and nails.

"Let us seal this as much as we can!"

They yelled down to us, and we nodded as they started to hammer the boards to the column. Once they were secured, we let go of it, then we walked out. I smiled as I walked down the street, but I noticed that Trixie was a little too quiet. I smiled as I put a hand on her back, and she looked back at me as the other walking ahead without paying us much attention.

"I'm fine, Vargas. I was just caught in my thoughts is all."

I smiled then patted her back, and we started to walk again. "You know I've got yours and Gilda's back if you ever need anything." She smiled as she looked back at me then when Gilda and Luna rounded a corner. She turned and hugged me. I smiled as I wrapped an arm around her shoulder and ran a hand down her hair. We stood there for a minute, then she let me go then stood there looking at me with a soft smile. "Come on." I took her hand then we quickly tried to catch up. We did, and Gilda was coming around the second corner. I let Trixie's hand go as Gilda crashed into me. She tackled me to the ground as Luna walked around.

"Gilda!"

Gilda looked back at Trixie, and she laughed as she looked at her.

"Sorry, I thought we lost you two."

"GET OFF!" I yelled before shoving her off my gut then stood back up with Luan helping her. She laughed as she looked at me, then punched my chest.

"Sorry, but damn your spending a lot of time on your back to the day."

She burst out laughing, and I felt like knocking her, but she took off around the corner. I took off after her ready to rip her a new one."Get back here!" I heard Luna and Trixie laughing as they followed us at their own pass as I gave up chasing her, knowing I could get her later. She ran into a bar, and I sighed as I looked at the door as they two walked up to me.

"My, she is quite an emergence person."

Trixie sighed as we looked at her before we started to walk to the door.

"No, normally she's a huge pain in the butt. Always angry and yelling, but she's getting to drink, which is rare for us, so she's in a good mood." I held the door open for them, and they walked in, and the music they had playing stopped as Luna walked in. I followed her in seeing a bit of a fancy bar with a small dance floor, a live band with five massive shelves of alcohol.

"Over here, guys!":

Gilda was over by a tab, with a waitress already waiting with a notepad in hand. We walked over and took a seat after I sat my sword on the side of the wall; the woman seemed scared as she looked at Luna.

"W-what can I get for you all?"

I wave around, and Gilda quickly spoke up.

"A round of hard cider!"

She nodded then looked at the rest of us.

"Is there anything else you'd like."

Trixie spoke up as she looked at her.

"If you can, I'd like a martini with lemon."

Luna's face lite up as she looked at Trixie then at the woman.

"Oh, can I have one as well?"

"Yes, Princess and ladies, I'll be back with your drinks in a minute."

She quickly walked off as everyone started to talk again as well as the music started back up. I smiled as I rested back into the boot seat. I smiled as I sat there as the girls talked to one another. I leaned my head back and looked at the roof then closed my eyes. 'A moment to realize is nice.'

"Here you go.~"

In a little song, I opened my right eyes and saw the girl walked back over a huge tray in hand. I smiled, then I leaned forward, and she set down four mugs and two martinis. I smiled as I took a mug then looked around as everyone grabbed their drinks. I smiled as I looked at them, then it hit me. "Where's Sapphire?" Gilda huffed as she started to chug her cider then slammed the half-empty mug down.

"She cashed in her cores then walked off. Trixie and I offered her to come along, but she turned us down. I'm sure if you asked, she would have jumped at it."

I rolled my eyes then took a drink from the cider. It was strong and burned my throat, but I didn't mind it. "Sapphire is a new adventure, the same as me, Gilda. Plus, we don't know what her life is like outside of the quest. She may have problems we don't know, and maybe we shouldn't know." She huffed again the chugged the rest of her mug then groaned as she looked at the other mugs. "You wait until she comes back around." She listened to me, but she was annoyed by the look on her face. I nodded my head as I finished my own mug then sat the empty mug back on the table. "So, why did you get into this line of work, Gilda?" She looked at me then shrugged as she looked at as Trixie pushed her mug to her. With a smile, she took it, then started to talk.

"Well, I was kicked out of the city of griffon stone. I couldn't get to the guildhall to work. I went to Ponyville, with the hope to party up with my old friend Rainbow Dash. But, she was in the party of that bitch that was attacking Trixie and me in the Guildhall. So, once that was out, I came here and joined the Guildhall before I became homeless. For a while, I fought barehanded until I got my gantlets and meet up with Trixie by accident."

I nodded, then I looked at Trixie and stopped as I looked at her. She was looking at an empty glass. "Trixie?" She looked at me then sighed as she started to talk.

'I was bested by Twilight sparkle and was forced to go back home to my mother and father. After a few weeks of me learning attack spells and defense and attack boosting spells. But, I left when my mother and father wanted to marry me off to try and get in good with a noble family. I didn't care for the man they wanted to marry me off too, so I left before they could do anything. I didn't want to be a tool in someone's plan to move up in the world."

I looked at her as she held her glass up then the waitress walked overtaking the empty mugs and glasses. I held a hand up, and she looked at me. "Bring us another round same as the first. Then, please open a tap for our table, and I'll be footing the bill." She smiled, then nodded her head as she walked over to the bar. I sat there for a minute, then Luna finally spoke up.

"Say, Vargas, have you see the dragon guest?"

I looked at her as Gilda and Trixie looked at Trixie's bag on the table. "Ya, we've looked into taking it why?" She smiled as she sipped on her drink then smiled as she sat the glass down.

"How would you and your party like a permit to work for the capital guild?"

Gilda coughed into the mug as she drank then beat on her chest as Trixie gapped, then grabbed her mug then chugged it. I looked at her and rested my arms on the table. "I'm sorry, but I didn't know you need a permit to work for that guildhall." She laughed as she looked at me, then opened a bag on her side then pulled out three black cards. They were pure black with a crescent moon on the right side with a name on it. Capital hall, the greatest hall." I took them and held two out to Gilda and Trixie. Both snatched one, and Luan Finished her drink then stood up.

"When you came for the quest, come to the castle. Vargas, I have a need of good adventures and maybe even a good Swordsman in my guard detail."

"Haha, maybe Luna."

She smiled then walked away as the waitress walked up as she walked to the door. 'A guard or an adventure?'

Fencer Vargas pov

When we were sure they weren't coming back, we left. Now I was sitting in a privet train car with Trixie and Gilda sleeping across from me in a set of bunk beds. It was kind of Luna to have a first-class cabin set aside for us whenever we need to travel. I pulled out a latter from Luan that I never finished reading. I looked down at the letter seeing the neat and fancy writing of Luna's handwriting. The first part was explaining that I needed to come to court where Twilight and her party would make a formal apology to not only me but Gilda and Trixie.

"Um!"

I looked up from the letter and saw Trixie waking up. I looked back at the letter and started to read again.

Dear Fencer Vargas

I write this letter asking you and your party to come to our castle. Not only has your honor been stained, but the reputation of your friends. I can't let this passed as Twilight Sparkle is not only an upper-ranked Adventure and member of the Royalty of our country. Such things can't be overlooked, and she must be punished. As well as my sister, and I wish to ask a favor of you and your party. So, once you've all arrive, come straight for the castle. A guard in blue armor will be waiting for you to arrive at the station.

Signed your friend Luna.

I smiled now that I had finished the short letter than put it away in a bag on my side.

"How far out are we?"

I looked at Trixie then looked out to see the mountain city we were heading for. "Not too long now, I'd say maybe another half an hour maybe a little more." She nodded as she rubbed her eyes as she looked at me.

"So, what are we going to do once we get there?"

I nodded as I looked at her, then sighed. "Luan wants us at the castle asap. Someone is going to be waiting for us at the train station, so all we have to do is find him or her. I want to know what she's thinking an how our party plays into it." She nodded as Gilda stood up, then walked over to the bathroom.

"So, what should we do when she gets done with us? Remember, we had to give up the guest, thanks to her."

I rolled my eyes as I looked at her. The guild master is holding it for us, but we so we can take it after we get back. Did you forget what he said? I managed to kill the boss and were getting to move up to a Contender rank." She smiled then nodded as she looked at me.

"Ture, maybe I should finally write home. Plus, my level is even gone up a few levels."

"Oh? and what level re you now?"

"Twenty-eight now, and Gilda is up to twenty-seven. Hey, what about you, Vargas? What's your level up to?"

"Twenty."

She looked at me, surprise on her face as she looked at me.

"I thought you'd be the first to in our party to class up Vargas."

"Class up?'

She sighed as she looked at me then started to explain as Gilda walked back out.

"A class up is when your stats get a big boost. Here I was thinking with your abilities you'd already do that."

I laughed as I looked at her as Gilda sat down beside her. I pulled out my book then open to the back. "You two see this? It's a fuse circle and an evolution circle." The two looked at me than to each other.

"Do you know what he's talking about?"

"No, guess you don't either."

I smiled as I turned the circle then pulled up Trixie's image. I looked at her level count and saw she was about to him her max. I smiled as I set up in the center then I selected monsters I got from the attack. "Here, Trixie, you're about to see what I mean." I hit the center, and the monsters turned to the energy then flew out and flew into her body, then her body flashed. It got brighter and brighter then stopped we looked at her, and my jaw dropped. Her body grew out some her breast grew out, and she was a few inches taller, and her hair now had a shine to it with two highlights of red and black. Her clothes were the same but were darker in color, and her magic staff had changed. The wood staff had changed from wood to gold with a wing on the back with a large blue orb in the center. I looked down at her image in the book and saw her level hadn't reset to one. 'Interesting."

"Hey, a look."I turned the book around, and she saw her new starts. They looked at it shocked, then Gilda yelled.

"Wow!"

I nodded as Gilda looked at her then smiled as she looked at me.

"Do that evolution thing to me!"

I laughed a little, then selected her imaged then did the same. The same happened, but Gilda's muscles had grown with her old worn-out gauntlets turned to a set of heavy-duty set going up to her forearms with think gear like knuckles with a set of steel body arm formed but showed her abs with broad shoulders and her wings were back, and she had grown some as well.

"What the buck!"

She grabbed her chest near the open part of her chest plate.

"For the sake of the sun to tight!"

I cleared my throat, then took off my cape and gave it to her. She smiled as she took it then walked back over to the restroom as her stats came up.

I held the book out to her, and she smiled as she looked at her stats, then they looked at me. "I can't." They looked at me for a second, then Trixie looked at the slots on the last page.

"Evolution items?"

I smiled then closed my book as I looked at them.

"Ya, I used them all to evolve you two. I can get more cores once we get to the city. I just need a few fire cores, and then I can evolve myself.

"How many?"

I looked at Trixie as she opened her back. "Four." I only need one, but hey, I boost her level a little with the other three. She pulled out five cores and smiled as she looked at me.

"Here, I was holding onto these slime cores in case we need the bits, but you just did something far beyond the class up could do. Plus, I think you should use the rest of the monster cores to get to level thirty. We need you to help us fight."

They smiled and smiled back at them then I put the cores into the books gem. I did the same for myself, then I evolved, and once finished, I saw I had a new cape with a gape in the center with new shoulder and hip guards with a new chain on my sword.

"Dude, your hair."

I reached up, then pulled it down and saw flame-colored hair. Then I filled the slots again then boosted my stats.

"Ya, it's strange, but look at his stats! He could go toe to toe with any of the captains of the royal guard's branches with stats like these."

I smiled as I looked at them, then a voice came over the speaker.

"We will be arriving at the canterlot station in five minutes."

I smiled, then stood up and set my slightly larger sword on my back, the new weight throwing me off a little. "Damn, this is heavier now." I started to walk to the door, Gilda and Trixie close behind. Guys looked at the two of them with mouths agape as they looked at them as we waited for the train to stop.

"Hey there sweet mage.~"

I turned, seeing a well-dressed man in a suit with a sword looking at Trixie's chest. He reached out to try and rest his hand beside her head then I threw my hand back. I grabbed ahold of his suit coat, and then he looked at me. "You try and even touch her or Gilda. I'll take that arm off your body, you asshole." I threw him back, and he huffed as he fixed his coat then tried to get in my face over a set of seats.

"Now, you listen to me! I'm part of princess Luna's personal raid unit, and I can touch or speak to a whore; however, I want...!"

I grabbed his throat then pulled out my new card. His eyes shrank as he looked at the moon. "Were here after being invited by Princess Luna. Now, standstill. I pulled out my book, and it scanned him and opened it to his name and Level.

He was sweating bullets with a look of terror in his eyes as he looked at me as the train came to a stop. The doors opened, and I spoke as we walked off. "Have a good day." We stepped off, and we looked around for the blue armored guard.

"Vargas over there."

I looked over to where Trixie was pointing at a man with blue armor with two swords on his side. I smiled, then we walked over to him, and he looked at me. "Are you who Princess Luna sent for us?" He nodded then turned arm behind his back.

"Yes, now let's go; we have a long way to go."

'Hm, I could take him with Trixie support magic, but without it would be hard as hell.' We walked down a stairway then out of the station, and saw a carriage waiting. He walked up to the door and held it open. I let the girls get in then he waved for me to get in. I nodded, then took my sword off my back, then climbed into the carriage my sword in my arms as he closed the door. A second later, the carriage started to move. Trixie sighed as she leaned into my side then jumped back when the spike on my shoulder poked her face.

"Stupid spike, I want to sleep more."

I laughed a little, then I unhooked my right shoulder guard, and she smiled as she leaned into me. "So why am I the body pillow?"

"Your warm and comfy, so it's easy to fall asleep."

I laughed as wrapped an arm around her shoulder, then Gilda stood up and slammed back down in the seat opposite of me. I sighed then moved, making Trixie sit up, and I leaned my sword against the carriage wall then fully unhooked all my upper armor. I sat them on the other seat. I sat back down, and they both rested their head on my shoulders. I sighed as I sat there with my thoughts. 'God, if I were still in high school, I'd be in heaven right now. But, this isn't some teenage dream. But, these two women here could kill me in a few minutes if they had half the mind too.

"Hey, Vargas, I want to ask you something."

I looked down at Gilda, and she looked back at me. "Ya?"

"What are we going to do here? Are we going to stay here now, or do we go back to our guildhall?"

I scratched my head as they leaned into me, then I closed my eyes as I rested my hands on my thighs. Then a thought came to me. "Say, why didn't the two of you run off when I sent the energy at the two of you? And, how are you taking something like that so well?" They answered at the same time.

"Magic."

'I should have seen that coming, I guess.' Deciding it wasn't worth it thinking about it, I just let myself enjoy this.

Trixie pov

I rested into the side of Vargas's body, and I just loved how warm he always is. Something about this warm was so calming with this heat. I didn't care what it looked like to anyone who saw. But soon, the carriage came to a stop, and Vargas started to move. Reluctantly we moved so he could get his armor back on, then the door opened.

"Were here adventures."

He spoke in a dead tone, but we ignored it as we walked out Vargas was the last out with his sword on his back.

"Follow me."

He turned then started to walk to the castle. This was the first time. Was looking at in person. It was a massive structure that looked like it was carved from the most beautiful marble stones. Royal guards stood on both sides of the wall, but I noticed the solar guards were holding shields, which they never carried them normally.

"Trixie."

I looked over and saw Vargas waiting for me. I quickly walked over, and he grabbed my hand then started to pull me along.

"Come on, Trixie Gilda, and that Ash guy is already in the castle." She nodded, then I walked as quickly as I could as he pulled me along. I was looking around for then two of the same as Vargas did. I looked down the halls seeing such beauty of this master-crafted work. I saw gold and silver banners depicting images of the Princesses with the elements of harmony or with friends or other prominent figures of the history of our country.

"This place is amazing."

I nodded as we came to a stop, then I heard someone walking. We looked down the same hall and saw the worst person a woman could run into in can. Prince Blueblood was heading our way with a smug smile on his face. He was a tall man in a full white suit with long blonde hair and he about as tall as Vargas. On his side were two sabers with two mages behind him dressed kind of like me but without the hat or cape. I got behind Vargas as Blueblood walked up to us.

"Who are you two?"

Vargas crossed his arm as he looked at Blueblood.

"I am Fencer Vargas, and this is my party member Trixie. But maybe you could help us quickly. We got separated from Princesses Luna's captain of the guard as he was leading us to her. Do you know where we could find her? She called us here, and we need to find her quickly."

Blueblood rolled his eyes then looked back at the woman on his right.

"I don't have time for this; you take them to the throne room."

"Yes, Sir."

She waved for us to follow her, and Vargas moved to keep himself between Blueblood, blocking his view of me and me.

"Wait."

We stopped, and I turned back and saw him looking at me.

"You want Trixie, and you'll get the worst beating I can give you. Now, we are late, and we need to get to Luna for business. You keep holding us up I don't care if she's your aunt, or now I will put you down."

Vargas's voice was calm but cold with an edge to it. Blueblood looked shocked, then Vargas wrapped an arm around me.

"Trixie is mine, so have a nice day, your highness."

I blushed as he hugged me to his side, then Blueblood huffed then waved us off.

"Leave me."

I smiled as we walked off following the woman, and Vargas spoke up when she was a little farther ahead.

"Sorry, Trixie, but I saw how he was looked at you was making me angry. Your not some piece of meat to be looked at, nither is Gilda or any other woman."

I looked up at him for a second, then smiled as I wrapped an arm back around him.

Fencer Vargas pov

We walked up to the throne room and the woman leading us as we walked into the throne room, seeing Gilda with her chest plate back open holding a bloody and beat Rainbow Dash and Applejack. "What did we miss?" Gilda looked over at us then threw the two down on the ground.

"Oh, just these two and so of Twilight's party were having a slight disagreement."

I raised an eyebrow as I looked at her then Luan spoke up from her throne.

"The two were insulting her, and she finally snapped, and we thought to let them fight it out as it seemed the fastest way to set this. Now that you two are here, we can call the rest back from the dining hall as well as the medical mages."

I waved as I pulled out two healing potions. "I got this." They smiled as I walked over, then opened Applejack's mouth then made her drink the potion. She healed quickly, then I made Rainbow drink the second one, and she healed up too. They were healed and were ready for round two. I grabbed Applejack as Rainbow jumped at Gilda and was quickly put back on the ground. "Applejack, you need to stop Gilda can be a nice woman if not attack, so please calm down." Applejack listened to me, then Gilda threw Rainbow into the wall.

"Buck, how are you so strong!?"

I threw a hand up and got between the two as the other walked in.

"Enough! we can't fight with each other were on the same ide damn it!" Gilda seemed to calm down, but Rainbow snarled as she jumped at me. I turned quickly, then kicked out her leg and slammed her to the ground face-first. "Rainbow Dash, please stop this. I hate to hurt you if you can't act like a savage!" She kicked and hit me with her free hand, but soon enough, she stopped huffing as she laid on the ground my hand on the back of her head. "I'll let you go, but the second you try fighting like this again, I'll put you back on the ground understand?" She nodded her head, and I let go of her, and she got to her feet.

"Bucker."

I rolled my eyes as I pulled y sword off my back then threw it to the ground away from us. "Ok, if I'm a bucker, then do something my sword is out of the picture now." We stared at each other for a second, then she turned her head and hung it. "I didn't think so." I walked over then grabbed the handle of my sword, then put it back on my back and faced the Princesses. The sister, if I had to guess, was wearing a long white dress with wrist bands, a gem-encrusted necklace, and crown. I could see both her legs in stockings with beautiful multicolored hair. I bowed as I looked at them. "Forgive my disrespect Princesses and the action my party member and I have taken here." Luna spoke up a second later.

"Vargas, there is no need for you to bow. You are a friend to raise your head." I stood back up, and then she looked at Twilight.

"I hope you can learn from Vargas's action and apologies for your party member's action. Rainbow Dash and Applejack Apple attacked Lady Gilda, so I ask that you add that to the formal apology you owe them."

"But Celestia!"

"No, buts, my Student."

The sister spoke in the sweetest tone I'd ever heard as a mother spoke to her child when she was getting onto her.

"You will do as my sister has asked. Now, Sir Vargas, am I right to say you were attacked after some form of an incident left you injured. Can you tell us who injured you?"

I nodded as I looked at her. "We, I guess the best place to start is with this." I pulled out my book, then it scanned them both, making the guards in the room snap to attention, but they stopped as the book flew open to Luna's image.

Everyone looked one shocked as they looked at her stats; both Princesses looked shocked. "Ya, I was shocked like that the first time that I saw this book do that, but that's not the best part. I found out how to rapidly boost levels and even evolve as well. But, we're not here for that at least not right now. This book and my sword were given to me by a man who called himself Thunder god Eze then the next thing I knew, and I was looking at flatty over there."

"HEY!"

I heard Trixie and Gilda laughed as I looked back at her, and she was next to flat. "The truth must be spoken." She turned red then seemed like she was going to attack me, but Celestia cleared her throat. She stopped, and I sighed as I looked at her. "I'll say sorry for calling you flat, but you can understand why I said that and not trying to snap your neck." She gulped as I looked at her, then I looked back to the Princesses. Luan seemed very interested in my book.

"I know you said it wasn't the point, but what is this evolve you're speaking of, and I know it may be strange to ask, but why do you all look different?

I smiled as I turned to Trixie's image then touched the first image in the line. "As far as I can tell, it's like a strong class up changing both class and stats. I evolve all of up before coming here, and as you can see, these were Trixie's last record stats for what I' going to call class one."

"As you can see, this is a massive change from one class to another. From what I know, the class upgrade doesn't give you near as much as the evolution. I don't know how far this can take a person, but if what I have seen from this, we can now push far beyond what a normal class up can do. I can't be sure until we fight some to see just how much of a difference this can make." By the time I had finished, a small crowd had crown had formed with younger and older guard looked at the picture of Trixie. I closed the book then set it back on the holster on my thigh as I looked at Luan. "Luna, you and I will speak more on this later, but why were we called here?" She nodded as she stood then walked down to us then looked at Twilight and her party.

"Twilight!"

With a snarl, she and her friends all dropped to a knee, then she spoke.

"Sir Fencer Vargas, as the leader of the Elements of Harmony, I offer not only my personal apologies but the apologies of my party to attack you and them as well. I ask that up choose a punishment that you believe is fitting."

I was a little surprised, but I wasn't that spitful. I crossed my arms then thought as I looked at them. I looked at Luna, and she looked back at me. "Luna, could they survive a week without working a job through a guild?" They all looked at Twilight, and I looked at me, shocked.

"Yes, all of them get money from us as they are classed as a raid unit."

I smiled then nodded as I looked back at them. "Ok, for the next week, no jobs form the guilds only emergencies as riad units."

They smiled, and Twilight looked at me than a small smile formed on her face. I looked back at Luna, and she smiled as she looked at me. The other stood up and bowed before leaving and shutting the door behind them. "Now, in the letter, you sent me, you mentioned you wanted to ask us for something." Luna smiled as she waved for me to get close. I took a step towards her, then she grabbed me then in a flash I landed hard on the ground, and I heard a little laugh. "Ohhh." I sat up my sword falling off my back as I looked up at a laughing Luna. I looked up at her as she held a hand out to me. I grabbed it, and then she helped me back up. I grabbed my sword then put it on my back as she pulled out a stack of papers. "What are these?"

"I want you and your party to become my raid unit. The elements are Celestia's, and I needed to get my own."

I looked at her for a second then looked down at the papers seeing poster like the guild had up. "Can you get Trixie and Gilda here I need to ask them about this."

"Sure."

A second later, two more flashes came from in front of me. Trixie and Gilda were on the floor groaning. I helped them up then I explained what was going on, and they both wanted to jump on this. I nodded then turned back to see Luna sitting at a table with papers on them.

"If you wish to do this, then sign these and then well look into getting you a full party for none raid unit work." The girls smiled then pulled me over, and we all signed after I made them read it with me. Once I was happy with what I read, I signed it, and then they signed as well. Then Luan smiled as she stood up.

"Ok, now where do you all want your seals?"

'Seals?'

"Here."

Trixie moved her cape, showing her upper thigh, then Luna summoned a stamper then stamped a spot on her thigh. When she pulled it back, the same mark that was on our cards was on her thigh. Gilda got her's on her right breast, and I got mine on my arm. Once finished, Luna sent us on our way, and we left the castle since now we each had three hundred bits each. "So, what now?" Gilda smiled as she looked at me, then raised her fist.

"I want to go rub this in the face of my home town!"

"Weren't you kicked out?"

She stopped then looked at me again then smiled as she looked at me.

"Buck, that I'll break down the gate!"

I laughed then looked at Trixie, and she smiled as nodded her head. "Alright, I'd say a week sounds like enough time for that and anything else we want to do." She smiled then we headed for the train station. Trixie smiled as she wrapped an arm around mine as she walked beside me, and I smiled. Then she rested her head on my shoulder as we walked. 'Um, I guess this is kind of nice.' We walked back onto the train then we left for griffon stone city.

Gilda pov

I laid on my bed resting and turned then saw Vargas sleeping on a two-person seat. She sat with his back on the train wall with one leg up with his sword resting on his shoulder as he slept. 'Man, this guy is so strange. He's pushed us so far so fast in a month. I wonder why goes through that mind of his.'

"You up, Gilda?"

Trixie spoke quietly, and I looked over the bed to see her looking up at me. "What's up?" She looked over at Vargas then back to me.

"My home town is on the way, so I want to stop and show my family how far we've come."

I smiled as I looked down at her; then, my smile turned to a smirk. "You want to bring home a nice looking guy to mom and dad?" She blushed then jabbed her staff at me.

"Shut up!"

She spoke in a harsh but soft tone. "Hey, he's not a bad looking guy a little reckless but strong. If I weren't holding out to find someone even stronger, I would have jumped him by now." She turned red then jabbed at me again before we heard a groan. We stopped and looked at Vargas as he moved around some before going quiet. We looked at each other then nodded to one another, and then I laid back on my bed.

"You two need to stop talking so loud."

I jumped and looked over at Vargas as he smiled with one eye open.

"I'm not meat, but I have no interest in dating anyone least for now."

He laughed as he closed his eyes and spoke again.

"As for going to your hometown, I wouldn't mind."

I laughed a little, then Trixie kicked the underside of the bed as Vargas laughed.

"You two stop; we need to get some sleep."

I smiled as I looked down at Trixie then looked at Vargas.

"Hey, Vargas do you want to bunk with me?~"

Vargas opened an eye and looked at me. "No, now, please be quiet." I laughed, then turned and laid back down.

Fencer Vargas pov three hours later

I sighed then walked off the train Trixie nervously looked around as people looked at her. I smiled, then grabbed her shoulder, and she smiled as she smiled up at me. Gilda punched her shoulder as she looked at us.

"We got you!"

We laughed as we looked at her, then Trixie smiled as she wrapped her arm around mine.

"Come on, this time of day, my mother and father eat in an hour before going on a walk. We can find them in the small park near the side of the town."

"Ok then, let's go and find your parents then." She nodded, then we started to walk, and I noticed everyone looking at us. I was a little uncomfortable with all of them looking at us plus Trixie holding onto my arm.

"Trixie?"

We stopped, and I turned my head, seeing an older woman with a man beside her. The man was in a purple suit and top hat. He was about as tall as me with long silver and blue hair with the same eyes as Trixie. The woman was in a long white dress with blonde hair and saw as tall as Trixie, and she had bright green eyes. Trixie waved at them, then the woman rushed over then hugged Trixie as she laughed, letting go of my arm.

"Good to see you, mom!"

I took a step back, letting them have the moment, then someone cleared their throat behind me. I turned and saw the father looking me up and down. I smiled, then held my hand out to him. "Hello sir, I'm Fencer Vargas I'm party of Trixie's party." He looked me up and down a second time, and when he saw the seal on my arm. He moved my cap aside and saw Luna's seal.

"A RIAD SEAL!?"

I pulled my arm free from his grip then looked at Trixie. "Ok, Trixie, you can tell them what's going." I put my hands up and walked away from them as Gilda tried not to laugh her head. I smacked her upside the head, and she laughed more as she looked at me.

"The all mightly fire raider, HAHA!"

I grabbed my sword as she turned then ran off down the street.

"Hey!"

I turned to see the father, and he smiled as he looked at me. "I'm sorry, Sir, Fencer Vargas, to think our daughter is in a party with a raid unit."

"Vargas is fine, Sir, and I'm in Trixie's party, so I'm not the only raid unit member here." He stopped, then look at Trixie, and she smiled as she looked at him. She smiled as she moved her cape, and she showed her seal on her thigh. They looked at her, shocked, and I laughed as they looked at her. We stood off to the side of the small road, letting them talk. The mother and father kept looking back at me every few seconds then they spoke to Gilda and me.

"Would you all like to come back to the house? We have some fresh tea and so cakes."

I looked at Gilda, and she shrugged, then I nodded. "Sure." They smiled then started to walk down the street. As I walked, the father pulled back on my cape, and I slowed down as we walked. "Sir?"

"How has my daughter been doing? We were worried when she vanished from our house."

"Dad, you leave Vargas alone if not for him. Gilda and I would have died."

He looked at me, and I smirked then locked my hands behind my head as we walked. "If you hadn't come back, I would have been a dead man." Trixie and Gilda laughed as we walked up to a large house blue painted house with stars painted here and there. Gilda and I looked at one another then walked into the house as the father walked us in. We all sat down in the living room then the mother quickly walked off to get the tea and cakes. Once she was back, the mother started to talk.

"So, what guildhall are you'll part of?"

Trixie smiled then pulled out the capital guildhall card.

"We're about to start working out of the capitals guild. Thanks to Vargas here, we've been taking on bigger and bigger quest. Thanks to the extra bits with that, I'm close to being able to buy a small house."

Her parents smiled as they talked with her, and Gilda and I were sit off to the side, and I smiled, seeing this going on until a knocking came from the door. The mother smiled as she looked at Trixie, then quickly rushed over to the door. Trixie looked back at me, and I nodded as I nodded then reached for my sword as a guy walked in with the mother. He was a short guy, maybe four-foot eight with a pig face. He had a big gut with looked like he could be and more than likely was a real pig. He reminded me of the guy you'd think would touch a kid.

"Trixie, you remember Sir Stone edge eldest of the Edge family."

I stood sword in hand, and Trixie quickly rushed over to me and hid behind me. I frowned then pointed my sword at him. "Out!" He did question it then booked it for the door falling as he tried getting up. I glared at the mother as she put her hands up as she looked at me.

"Haha."

I narrowed my eyes at her then I spoke up. "Trixie, is there an inn in this town?" The mother and father both looked shocked as Gilda walked over and kicked then man when he turned to yell something.

"Ya, near the station kind of nice too."

I nodded, then put my sword on my back and grabbed her hand; then she started to pull me along as I glared at the two shocked people. I flipped them off as I was pulled out the door. Trixie was huffing incredibly annoyed with her face red. Once we got to the inn, they walked in into the office while I waited outside, thinking the noble wasn't going to let the kick go or my yell.

"Ok."

I looked at Trixie, and Gilda walked back out. I turned and followed them to a door, then they opened it, and I saw two beds with a bathroom. Trixie grabbed my arm, then pulled me, and Gila closed the door behind us. We all sat down, and soon, Gilda spoke up.

"So, does anyone want to tell me how we're going to get out of here without having to fight our way out?"

I sighed as I looked at Trixie and she looked down at the ground then I stood up and walked over to her. I put a hand on her back, and she looked up at me.

"Sorry guys, I thought maybe my parents would have learned."

I laughed, then took my sword off my back then sat it back on the wall. "I can't say I understand, but I will do what I can to help you."

She smiled as she looked at me, then I nodded. I stood up then grabbed the sword, and walked over to the door. "You two get some rest I'll go outside and keep watch."

"Ok."

I walked out to the front of the inn and stabbed the sword onto the ground, then rested my back on the sword. I pulled my book back out then turned to Shappire's image. Something about this woman bothered me as I looked at the picture. But, I noticed something had changed behind the bleared image. Not it looked like her head had changed to have green hair. 'The hell?'

"HEY!"

I looked up from my book and saw the guy with three large men, all with weapons. Two had iron swords, and the other had a ball mace. I closed my book, then put it back on my holster, then stood up and pulled out my sword. "You sure about this?"

"GET MY WHORE!"

"Ok, gloves off!"

I charged them my sword pulled back then swung the blade as hard as I could. The first man tried to block the strike, but I broke the blade, and I turned the sword and slammed the flat side into him then sent him flying. He crashed back down through a water-filled barrel. I turned then slammed the flat, the next man in the face, and he dropped to the ground out cold. I was about to turn to finish the last one when something slammed into my back. My HP when down a little, and I turned with a snarl on my face looking at the last now scared man. I turned my sword then swung up, and in a second, his hand holding the mace flew off. He screamed, bloody murdered while holding the stump of where his hand was. I pulled out a healing potion as he screamed, then I slammed the butt of my sword into the sie of his head as he screamed. He dropped, then I kicked the noble brat in the gut as he stood there frozen with fear. He crashed back into the side of a business building then turned to look at the man who just cut a handoff of. I stabbed my sword into the ground, and then I grabbed the hand then put it back on the arm. I pulled the top of the potion bottle then borrowed the potion out over the wound. In a green glow, then hand seemed to be reattached. I nodded then kicked him in the face as the other two started to get up. I looked back at the brat and the other two. "Take him and leave."

"R-right."

I took a few steps back then they grabbed their friend then quickly ran off, dragging him behind them as they ran. I sighed as I turned to go back but to sit back down but stopped as I saw everyone one who had a room looking at me even the office workers had come out to see. I rolled my eyes, then pulled my sword out of the ground, then put it on my back then crossed my arms. "What? Nobody is going to talk bad about my friends, and I did heal and reattach the hand." Everyone a little scared went back to there rooms as I walked back over to my spot, then stabbed the sword back into the hole then sat back down. Trixie walked over to me, then sat down on the ground beside me arms wrapped around her knees.

"Damn, Vargas, don't you think you took them down too hard?"

I huffed then crossed my legs and arms as I sat there. "I didn't kill them, but I see what you mean, Trixie." She laughed as she looked at me then kissed my cheek before she stood back up. I could felt my cheek turn red as I sat there as Gilda laughed. I slammed my fist on the ground, then she stopped, then I heard the door quickly shut. I huffed crossing my arm again the leaned back more into my sword. 'Gilda and her damn laughing at everything.' A few hours went by quietly, then the door opened behind me, the light shining down on me.

"Hey, you turn to get some sleep."

I nodded then stood back up my bones popping as I stood up. I moved around a little, my body sore from not moving too much. "Ok, how's Trixie holding up?" Gilda nodded as she looked back in the room.

"Not well, but she's asleep. Her parents trying this when she tried to let them back in really hurt her. We need to get her out of here as soon as we can. "

I nodded, then I pulled my sword out of the ground then walked into the room. I sat my sword against the wall then took off everything but my pants before I walked over to the empty bed and laid down. It was still a little warm from were Gilda was lying, and I closed my eyes.

"Hey, Gilda, you still up?"

Trixie as awake, and I was about to talk when she spoke back up.

"If you are, you can just listen."

I wasn't sure what to do, so I nodded my head the darkness making so she couldn't see who was really in the bed.

"Well, I was wondering if we're relying on Vargas to much. He's fighting most of our battles, and I don't think he really needs all that stress like what happened outside earlier. Because of me, he had to fight someone I should have dealt with nearly half a year ago. Vargas shouldn't have to deal with my mess. He's just to nice to have to deal with the problems we have to deal with."

She was silent now, and I felt terrible about just laying there. I sighed, then I moved around and sat up and looked at her, and she was looking at me. But, it was too dark for her to make me out in the near pitch-black room. I turned on the lamp, filling the room with the dim light. Trixie covered her eyes, then sat up holding the blanket to her, then spoke up.

"Gilda, what the!?"

She stopped as she was about to yell as she looked at me. She stared at my chest, and I knew she was looking at the scar. I looked down at my chest to see a long jagged scar I got from a son of a bitch I thought of as a brother a few years ago. It, when from my right, should across my upper chest ending at the bottom of my left rib cage. I rested my arms on my knees as I looked at her. "You and Gilda can rely on me as much as you need to Trixie. As for what you said. You and Gilda are my friends, so whenever or wherever you need help, I'll be there." She opened and closed her mouth, then she looked at me for a second then looked down at herself then blushed as I finally noticed that she didn't have a bra strap on her shoulder or around her chest. I blushed then I turned the light back out as I spoke up.

"Sorry, Trixie, I just came in to get some sleep, and before I could stop, you'd started to talk." We sat there for a second, and then she spoke up.

"I-its fine, I should have checked when I heard the door open. But, can I ask what happened to your chest?"

I sighed, then laid back down and laid there for a minute before I spoke up again. "I trusted someone who I thought of as a brother, but when he got in trouble with some guys, he owed money too. He slashed me and left me for dead with them close behind me as I tried to get out of the nightmare."

"What happened to him?"

I nodded my head then spoke up again. "I'm not sure, to be honest with you. I haven't heard or seen anything after that. To be honest, I don't want to see him again after that. I somehow managed to get away from the people then spent years trying to understand why he did that. I never could understand how leaving me behind half dead would make them give up chasing him. But, I'm still walking around, so I never thought of trying to find him."

"What would you do if you ever run across him again?"

"Not sure, I don't know what I would do if I find him. But, I don't think I will ever have to deal with that." Trixie didn't say anything else, so I turned, and after about ten minutes, I was asleep.

Gilda pov

I sat out in the street Vargas's old cape wrapped around me, keeping some of the heat from my body. Despite looking thin, it was made from a thick fabric they held in so much body heat. 'Maybe we shouldn't go back to Griffonstone. If these people got this mad over a yell and kick, then the people of my home will tear us apart.'

"Hey."

I looked up and saw the mother looking at me. "What do you want?" She frowned as she rubbed her arm then spoke quietly.

"I- I wanted to say sorry to Trixie. My husband put me up to getting that little troll."

I scoffed, then stood up and showed her my new gauntlets scaring her. "Get! My friend cried herself to sleep because of you two. Vargas had to fight off that troll and his goons. Now, this is your last warning leave, or I attack!" I didn't yell, but my tone made it clear, and she quickly walked off, holding a small blanket around her shoulders, then she stopped. Then she pulled something out from under the blanket then turned back fear written on her face as she walked up to me.

"A-at least gave these to her."

She held out a letter and a crystal communicator.

"I understand why you want me to leave but, if she ever needs me, then have her drip a drop of blood, and it will connect to the one I wear everywhere if she ever needs me."

I huffed, then I snatched them then waved her off. She quickly walked away from our inn. I huffed then looked down at that letter and crystal. I sighed, then moved the cape then put them into my chest plate. 'Stupid mother.' I sat down again, my back against the door. I pulled the cape tighters around me then looked up at the sky. An hour went by when I heard moving in the then a crash. I jumped up and rushed in and hit the top lights Vargas covered in sweat, standing in the center of the room sword in hand, ready to fight. Trixie was standing up beside him, looking at the wall in front of her holding a blanket to her body. "What's going on!" I yelled as I looked at them, and Vargas seemed to come out of whatever haze he was in. He looked around fear on his face for the first time I've seen him. His chest was heaving, and you had a nasty scar going across it. Then he turned, and I saw what must be his cutie mark. It was like the sword he was holding but with cracks along the blade with what looked like lava with gems and fire on the guard, handle, and the butt of the sword. But what was strange was it took up most of his right shoulder but not where you couldn't see it from the front.

"Sorry..."

Trixie slowly walked over and touched his shoulder.

"I made you dream about it, didn't I?"

I looked at them, confused, then he nodded and sat down on the bed. He sat the sword down on the bed, then rubbed his face. He waved us off as he grabbed his clothes, then got dressed.

"You can go back to bed Gilda, I'm not going back to sleep."

I was going to say something, but he looked at me as he picked back up his sword then walked out. When he shut the door, I turned to see Trixie getting dressed. "So..."

"I'll tell you, but Vargas may be angry about this."

I nodded, then I sat down on the bed, setting the cape to the side as she saw down, pulling up her leggings. I looked at the clock and saw the clock read five in the morning.

"Well, I got some of Vargas's past out of him. He was betrayed by someone he thought of as a brother. He slashed Vargas and left him for dead, but he survived. My guess he dreamed about it and that' what had him like that."

I nodded, then I remembered the letter and gem. I pulled my chest plate out, then pulled them out and held them out to Trixie.

"What are these?"

"Your mother came by about an hour ago. She just asked if I would give these to you." She looked at them for a second then huffed as she grabbed her bag then threw them in.

"I don't care what that letter has to tell me. I tried to let them back in, then they go and pull this again. Once we leave, it will be the last time I set foot in this town."

I nodded, then we stood up, and she put her cape and hat on then but her bag on before grabbing her staff.

"Get Vargas, the station should be open by now. I want this place at my back as soon as the sun gets up."

I nodded, then I opened the door seeing Vargas standing there, rubbing his face. I walked over, then put a hand on his shoulder, and he looked at me.

"We leaving?"

I nodded, then he sighed, then turned to face me.

"Your home town next, right?"

"Fuck no, if I take us there for real, I'd get us all killed in an hour." He laughed a little, then Trixie walked out. She closed the door then, we walked over to the office, putting the key in the inbox for the keys for early morning drop off. After that, we walked to the train station, and it was open.

Fencer Vargas pov four hours later

I sat in a privet cabin Trixie and Gilda sitting a crossed from me as we ate a small breakfast. The two of them looked at me as they ate. I huffed then dropped my fork back down in my scrambled eggs. "Ok, what the hell is wrong with the two of you?" They looked at each other then Trixie set her spoon down.

"Well, I guess we're just worried about you. Your normally so calm and cool, so seeing you like that is worrying."

I sighed then leaned back arms crossed as I looked at the two of them. "I see, well, sorry about you two having to see that. Trauma seems a strange thing to have to happen. But, it never bothers me unless I have a really bad day." They looked at each other, then I picked my fork back up, then nodded my head then set it back down. "I've lost my appetite." I sighed then gave my tray then walked out of the room. 'I'll never hear the end of this one. Well better get ready for whatever comes my way.'

Fencer Vargas pov

"Vargas, can you help us with this?"

I looked up from cleaning my blade to see Honey trying and Shappire trying to move a heavy-looking cart. I nodded, then, I stood up, leaving my sword on the ground. I walked over and saw they had loaded down the cart with huge jars and food. "What's all this for?" Honey smiled as I gave the cart a good shove moving it out of the spot it seemed to be stuck in.

"The guild master asked me to make so of my famous pies and sweet potato casserole. As for the jars, they hold batches of some of my aged wine."

I nodded as I helped them push it onto the road as the two guys brought two-horse around.

"Sorry, we took so long!"

Honey smiled as they quickly hooked up the horse as I walked back over to my sword.

"Vargas!"

I looked back as I but my sword on my back as Trixie came running up. She ran up to me and help up the same poster as before.

"Gilda is getting the items, and we got confirmation there are two dragons!"

I laughed as she happily danced around as she looked at me. I smiled then shoved her shoulder as she looked around utter joy on her face. "Ok down girl, we're going as soon as Gilda is done.

"But that's not the best part!"

I looked at her for a second, then grabbed my hand and then started to pull me down the street.

"You won't believe what Luna did for us!"

She was rushing us down the main street, and I couldn't help but watch her breast bounce as she ran.

"Look!"

She pulled me into a part of the city with houses, and she pointed to a huge house. "Ok?" Trixie smiled as she looked back at me.

"She bought us a house!"

I looked at the small mansion with a yard around it. It was a lot like Honey's house, but the walls were whitewashed with a crescent moon over the doorway. The yard was full of green grass with a few plum trees and apple trees.

"There are a dozen rooms with a training hall, a massive kitchen, a garden, and a hot spring!"

She pulled my arm as she yelled, then pulled me into the yard, the gates closing behind us as she. Trixie threw the door open then pulled me down the right hall.

'You won't believe your room, Vargas."

I nodded as she pulled me up to a red and gold door on the other side of the hall was a star and a mist-like door next to a door with knuckle marks with cider mugs over the top. Trixie pulled me over to the door, then opened it, and I looked in. The room as a lot like the one I had at Honey's house, but this one had a few new things. An older model tv, A fireplace, and the floor seemed to be had of some kind of stone.

"Come look at my room!"

She grabbed my arm again then pulled me out of my room then into the mist-like door. She opened the door, and I was surprised at what I saw. The room was a little smaller but was filled with beautifully painted stars and mist on the walls and had a floor that seemed to be made of grass. Her bed was a king-size and looked like it was made from a wagon. She had a more massive desk with bookshelves on either side. She also had a fireplace, but her's had a moon with a magic wand with a trail of magic mist right behind it as if it was moving.

"isn't it great?'

I smiled as I nodded my head then pulled my arm free. "Ya, Luna really went all out, didn't she?"

"Ya."

I crossed my arms as Trixie walked over and sat down on the bed, pulling her dress bottom down as she looked up at me. I sighed as I leaned onto the wall as I looked at Trixie. "So, do you and Gilda have anyone who you want to join up with us?" Her smile dropped, then sighed as she used her magic to grab a pile of papers off her desk. She floated it over to me then I grabbed them out of the air. I looked at the top sheet and saw it was a stat sheet of a man.

Name Quick Slash/ Swordsman

Level 31

HP 1010

Atk 490

Def 400

Rec 600

'Hm, no extra skill is listed on this.' I looked threw a few of the sheets and saw all of them were all in there thridy's, but most would only slow us down. "Luna seems to think just throwing people in would make us pick? Just throwing someone else would destroy the teamwork we've managed to build."

"Ya, but our team does need to grow. We can have up to six members, and the extra help would be nice to have."

I nodded then heard the front door open.

"Hey, Trixie, did you get Vargas!?"

"Ya, we're in my room!"

I stood back up and looked out the door. I saw Gilda carrying a large wooden box with a bag on top of it. I set the stack down, then I walked out of the room, then took the box as she took the bag off.

"Can you set that in one of the spare rooms?"

"Ya." I walked over to the door next to Trixie's room. I opened the door and saw it was empty. No bed, no bookshelves, but had a fireplace. I sat the box down beside the door then walked back into Trixie's room as Gilda was looking over the stats sheets. She didn't look happy about the sheets.

"I'm not taking any of these punks to a fight with dragons!"

I nodded as I looked at her, then Gilda looked at me.

"We have enough heal potions and stamina potions. With two dragons, well need them."

I nodded then sighed as I looked down at the poster. "Two dragons, even with are teamwork, will be too much."

"Ya, but this could make our team's career. A dragon would make us legends, but two is a little much." They nodded, then we all looked between each other, then Trixie smiled and stood up.

"Well, I know how you feel, but we have to go. The lizardman and the females are making to much trouble to be left alone. We can fight them, but try not to fight with the dragons yet."

"I can live with that."

I nodded as I looked at Gilda. "Same here." We all nodded, then we heard banging. We all looked at each other, then I nodded as I walked out of Trixie's room and up to the front door as more bangs came. I opened the door then ducked as a fist nearly hit me in the face. I looked at the door and saw the Guild master with Star. "Sup, Guild master?"

"Can we come in?"

I nodded and stood to the side, letting them walk in. I closed the door as Trixie and Gilda walked out to see who was here.

"Master?"

The master opened his coat up, then pulled out a letter.

"Princess Luna has missions for all of you."

He looked down at the letter then looked at Trixie and Gilda.

"Girls, you're going to the everfree to search the old castle to find a magic artifact. As for you Vargas, the princess is waiting for you in my office. She has a specific mission for you."

"Yes, sir."

"Star, you take Vargas back to the guildhall."

"See you, girls, later."

They waved to me as I walked out with Star. She looked at a smile on her face.

"Sorry about this, I know you were going on the lizard manhunt, but I have an idea what this is about."

"Hm?"

"In the city about two train stops away is having trouble in the guildhall. A drug call rage is running through the guild."

I nodded as we walked down the street. "Let me guess, they're looking for unique fighters to advance their own agenda."

"Yes, but."

"Hm?" I looked at her out of the corner of my eye.

"They only take those who can kill an A-class monster alone."

I smiled as I grabbed my swords handle. "I think I can deal with anything, but I need to get their attention." She nodded as we walked into the guildhall.

"She's waiting for you."

I nodded then walked off to the master office. I walked down the hall and saw two of Luna's guards. I walked up to then, and they opened the door for me. I walked into the office and saw Luna sitting with Twilight beside her. Twilight was dressed somewhat like me but had a new staff leaning on the couch. "Twilight, Luna." I walked over to the other couch, then took my sword off and set it on the couch's side before sitting down. "So, why is Twilight here?" Luna cleared her throat as she started to speak.

"Both me and my sister think we could use this as a way for you two to get to know each other better. As for why the two of you are the one's going. Vargas, you have shown you are an incredible in close combat fighting with an insane amount of durability. You will be taking on all the combat while trying to gain access to the group."

I nodded then looked at Twilight. "So, I guess we need to talk?"

"Yes, I think we need to clear the air."

I nodded then stood up from the couch. "Come on, then, Luna, our train car is still free?"

"I'll send a letter to the station. You two get something to eat before you go. Oh, I also have a room for you two in the guildhall, but you'll be sharing a bed."

Twilight blushed, and I felt my face heat up a little as well. "Luna, you planned this!" An evil smile formed on her face as Twilight and I looked at her.

"Maybe, but, back in my hay day on the battlefield, a man and woman both strong would love to sleep together."

I huffed then turned my back on her. "Ok, I'm not hearing this!"

"What? I wrote it out, so you two were in a relationship. it would be strange if the two of you didn't share a room."

I sighed as I rubbed my eyes. "Twilight, please come on."

"Ya."

I looked back, and she followed me out quickly as Luna sat there laughing as she watched us."

"Thanks, that was beyond anything I thought she would do something crazy but nothing like that."

I nodded as I pulled my book out then turned to her page. Twilight looked at the book as I looked at her new stats.

"I see, you've leveled up to six-eight that's nice. I'm around thirty-three, but my attack and defense are still way higher than yours. But, your rec is the highest out of all of us so you must have incredible magic casting speed." She smiled as she looked at me.

"Ya, in Celestia's magic school for the gifted, I was top of my class."

I smiled and nodded as she kept on talking about her magic and her studies. She spoke the whole way to the station at times, stopping to show me magic. These seemed to make her happy as I listened to her.

"Hey, you two!"

We stopped, and I looked around and spotted Star. I turned as she came running up behind us. She had a wooden box in hand, but it was locked. She stopped in front of me, then held it out to me.

"The princess forgot to give this to you. She said if the worst comes, then use what's in here."

I nodded then took the slightly heavier box then it should have been. I thanked her, and she nodded before starting to run back. I smiled as I nodded my head and then turned back to see Twilight had walked a little ahead and grabbed to a few drinks from a street vendor. I smiled as I sat the back up on my shoulder before walking up to her. She smiled back up at me then held a cup up to me. I took it, seeing what I think was green tea. I sipped some of the tea, and I was right. I thanked her for the tea as we started to walk again.

"So Vargas, where does your family live?"

I looked straight ahead as we walked into the train station. "I don't have a family, Twilight. My parents and grandparents are gone." Twilight stopped as I walked up to the station stall. "Two for the royal cart." I showed my raid symbol, and she nodded before waving us over to the train. I nodded, then we walked in. I sat the chest down on the table, then took off my sword. Once I had everything off Isat down of the lower bed, and I looked up at Twilight as she stood in the doorway. "Well, come on. I know you want to ask me some stuff, so feel free." She smiled as she sat down on the couch then pulled out a book with a quill.

"I guess the first thing I want to ask is, how did all this start?"

I sighed as I laid down before I started to talk. "Well, I lived in a lone cabin in the forest with my grandparents as a child. But, there was a boy who's family lived a few miles away, and we'd meet up every so often until I thought we became good friends. Soon enough, we were meeting up every day for years. Then one day, he wasn't alone. Some people he owed a lot of money to we're chasing him, and he used me as a scapegoat."

"How could he do that?"

I huffed, then sat back up and turned to face her. I took my cape off, then my shirt making her blush. But, once my shirt was off, I watched her blush vanish as she saw the scar.

Twilight pov

I looked at Vargas's chest, and I was shocked at the jagged scar running over his whole chest and ended right at the bottom of his ribs. I dropped my book and quill as I covered my mouth as I looked at him.

"Ya, image getting it from how bad this looks. He left me for dead with those guys, but I survived. But, I never really gave much thought into why he did that. I have, however, have to think of it every damn day of my life.
My best friend slashed me before running away, leaving me to die like a dog."

I licked my lips as I looked at him, not sure what to say. I looked at him as he looked away from me and then touched his chest, rubbing the scar. I cleared my throat and spoke. "Does it hurt Vargas?" He sighed as he put his shirt back on but let the armor and took his book off his side. He set it down in the small shell on the wall.

"Ya, it always hurts. It cut deep into my bones, nearly cutting through my ribs. Each beat of my heart and breath I take hurts, but it's dulled over time."

He laid down, then turned to face the wall. I wanted to say something to him, but I couldn't find the words.

"I know you want to say something. But, there is nothing to really say when you see something like this. To someone like you, I may seem like nothing but a dirty criminal."

I felt that sting badly, and I couldn't even arrange it with him. He was right, seeing as I looked at his back. I'd treated him like an animal caging him with his whole body tied down. I sunk back into my spot as I looked at him.

"You know if I see him again by some long shot. I can't think of what I may do to him."

I blinked then cleared my throat as I sat back up. "Well, can I ask if you're going to kill him?" He laid there for a second, then he sighed before speaking.

"No."

He when quiet, and I took the hint, then stood up then took off the top layer of my clothes, leaving me unclothes. I skin-tight shirt with mini shorts.

"I didn't think you'd dress like that."

I turned to see him looking at him as he laid there.

I blushed then turn away from him as I pulled at my shirt. "Well, I can't sleep well in baggy clothes, so things like this work best." He huffed then laughed a little before talking again.

"Well, I guess you are better looking then I rights gave you credit for."

I felt my whole body heat up then I turned to look at him. He'd turned back over to look at the wall again. 'He is so strange.' I climbed in bed then rested my head on the pillow.

Vargas pov next day

I sat in the new Guildhall Twilight sitting at my side as I looked around. Seeing most everyone in here was a guy, and many were straight at Twilight as she used her cape to covered more of her body that showed more of her body. I wrapped an arm around her as I grabbed the handle of my sword with my other hand. A few of the older men looked at me with a snarl or flipped me off as they looked at me.

"V-Vargas!?"

I stared ahead as I waited for the guild master. I leaned in closer and started to talk in a hushed tone. "Twilight, you stay close to me or keep your guard up. Some of these guys will try something. I know these types of guys." She was quiet for a second the leaned into my side a little more.

"Ok."

I smiled as I looked at her out of the corner of my eye. "Don't worry, I promise you'll be fine, princess." She blushed as she rested more into my side as we sat there.

"Hey, you two."

I looked back up, seeing a young cocky looking ass hat.

"I'm the guild master Forge Hammer. I've read over everything, so your good to transfer here for the two months. Now, I want to see how strong you two are."

He pulled out a poster from his side bag, then held it out to us. I let go of my sword, then took the wanted poster and looked at it.

'Two Manticores are killing livestock in the large ranch a few miles out of the city. The reward was five hundred for both two-fifty hundred for one.'

I nodded as we stood up Twilight, not buried in my side but still close to me. "Well, be back, by midnight."

"Fine."

I grabbed my sword and set it on my back then looked back at him. "What about our room and dinner?" He sighed as he crossed his arms. "

"Once you get back, I'll see that you two get a good meal. As for the room it's ready too."

We turned then walked out of the guildhall Twilight, holding onto my cape. 'Hm, why did I take on this mission from Luna?' We walked into the market, pulled out my bits bag, and then walked up to a stand selling meat, dried goods, and sandwiches. "Twilight, get what you'd like we need to eat before we get going anyways."

"Thanks, Vargas."

I nodded as she pointed out to the sandwichs.

"I'll take that spring sandwich with any dried flowers you may have."

The woman behind the stand smiled as she took the sandwich off the rack with the flowers then gave them to her before turning to me.

"And what can I get the kind boyfriend?"

I laughed a little then nodded my head as I looked at her. "Sorry, miss, but I'm not her boyfriend were party members." She laughed as she looked at me.

"Well, she a pretty young lady you may want to make a move.~'

I blushed then nodded my head as I looked at her. "I see, well, I don't think she'll take someone like me. All I know how to do is swing a sword." She laughed as she looked at me, then she grabbed a tray of dried deer from her stand.

"Tell you what, I'll give you a discount two bits off a pound of dried deer."

I laughed a little the rubbed my head as I looked down at her. "Well, I'll pay full price, so I'll take five pounds." She smiled as she looked at me, then pulled a bag out from under her stand, then filled it with the five pounds then paid for everything. After a second, we started to walk away again.

"So, Vargas, are we going to sleep outside, or are we going to come back to the guildhall?"

"You can go back if you'd like too, but I'm staying out to deal with these things."

"Hm, you know Vargas, I'm ashamed by the way I treated you..."

I hummed then patted her back as we walked. "Don't worry about it, Twilight, I could care less about that kind of stuff. I believe if someone hasn't met or spoke to me, then I don't care about what they think." I stopped then looked down at her, and she was looking down at the ground, not wanting to meet my gaze if I had to guess.

"I'm..."

I turned then rubbed the top of her head, surprising her a little. "I could care less if you're going to apologize or say something else. I've long forgiven you for what happened." She looked even more ashamed as she looked at me then lowered her head more.

"Ok..."

I smiled as I rubbed her head one last time before I grabbed her free hand then started to walk again. "Come on, We have some monsters to take out. Oh, and give me a smile your much prettier when you smile." She blushed as I started us running down the streets.

Twilight pov two hours later

I sat up in the trees above the ranch house with Vargas down in the field, sitting with his back on his sword waiting. I looked around, trying to find which way something to come along.

"Got you!"

Vargas yelled, and I looked down, seeing he was gone from his spot. I looked trying to find him before something slammed into the tree under me. I looked down, seeing a headless manticore with Vargas standing there sword in one hand the head in the other. 'By Celestia.' I looked around to see the second manticore with a deep wound on his side. Vargas walked up to its sword raised high. He then spun it in his hand and then stabbed it into the manticores side, making it stiffen for a second before blood ran out of its mouth. "I-incredible, he took both out in the blink of an eye and what speed. Even Rainbow or Spitfire couldn't move at that kind of speed." Vargas pulled his sword out, then took off the head of the second manticore. I climbed back down as he pulled out the cores before putting his sword on his back.

"Hm, these two were young inexperienced with fighting. But, you would have been their next meal if I hadn't seen them out of the corner of my eye."

I looked at him, confused by his words. "What?" He pointed to the tree I came down from, making me look back. I froze when I saw claw marks starting to climb up the tree with a deep cut in the tree with blood on it. 'I didn't even hear these two monsters coming for me. I'm so glad Vargas was here with me I'd been in real trouble without him.'

"Hey."

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Vargas's voice. "Y-ya?" He smiled as he looked at me, then patted his head as he looked at me.

"I'm glad you weren't hurt Twilight. I don't know what would have happened if your got hurt with these things hunting us."

I blushed as I looked up at him, his hand softly rubbing my hair.

"Now, let's got and get some rest it's late and I want to get some sleep. I hope there's a couch or something for me to sleep on."

He took his hand off my head, then took picked his sword off the ground and put it on his back. Then he grabbed the two heads then started to walk with both heads over his shoulder. Then turned back to looked at me then rubbed the back of his head.

"Oh, and um... sorry for um knocking you out last time we were at the guildhall."

I laughed a little then started to follow him as he started to walk again. "Don't worry about it, Vargas. I was out of line with all of that was going on. So, when we get back I need to talk with Gilda and Trixie I have to say sorry to them." He laughed then nodded his head before talking in a much softer tone.

"Well, I've already talked those two out of coming for your blood so your all good. Besides, those two are rough around the edges but they do have good hearts."

I smiled as I looked at him then walked up beside him, then I grabbed his free arm, and then hugged it to my side. I laughed then leaned into his side, feeling the heat his body gave off in this cold air.

Vargas pov guildhall

"Hm, a nice warm meal on a cold night is nice."

"Ya."

I looked over at Twilight, seeing a small smile on her face. Then she laughed a little as she looked at me. I smiled, then grabbed a pick of bread and started to tear it up. "So, what's funny?" She laughed a little more than set her spoon down and locked her fingers together.

"Oh, it's nothing just remembering all those shocked looks when you walked in with two massive manticore heads on your back. Even the guild master looked like he was going to have a heart attack."

I laughed a little then nodded my head as I took a bite out of the bread, then nodded as I leaned back into the chair. "True, seeing those faces were well worth anything they could have snapped at us with."

"True, and not to mention a manticore is a class B monster not everyone survives their fight manticore battle. Only, one out of ten new adventures manages to survive their first encounter with one. But, you took out two of them in your first encounter so your name may very well start spreading."

I laughed then nodded my head as I took another bite before talking again. "Well, I'm not against that but I don't really want work without the girls tagging along. I started this mad dash with them so I want to keep running with them."

"I guess that makes a lot of sense oh. I have to ask how did you manage to escape my jail cell?"

I laughed as I put a finger to my lips as I looked at her. "I'll never tell." She laughed a little then nodded her head as she started eating again. I laughed as I finished my food, then stood up from my seat and gathered my stuff up. "I'm taking this stuff off to the kitchen."

"Hey, wait a second for me to finish mine."

I blinked as I looked at her then smirked as I sat back down. "Fine, but please make it quick. We both still need to get a bath before going to bed.

"Haha, yes sir."

I laughed then nodded my head as I rested my arms on the table. "Say Twilight, do you think I could ask you a few questions?" She nodded as she finished her bread before sipping at her soup. "Well, to start off with how about you tell me what you like to do for fun. Myself, I like to read about many things but I don't know magic well." She smiled as she grabbed her bag then pulled out a few books as well.

"I love to read! Have you read anything about the history of the adventuring hero?"

I nodded as she pulled another much older book out of the bag. She held it out to me, and I took the book and stopped when I saw the title.

"Eva the hero of thunder."

'Hm, I'll have to find out more about this.' I looked at Twilight, holding up the book. "Do you mind if I borrow this?" She smiled then nodded as she finished the bowl of soup. I at the book down, then took the empty bowl then walked over to the kitchen door. I pushed it open with my back and stepped in, humming a tune.

"Hey, Rookie."

I stopped seeing a woman with two swords on her side with long dark-blue hair with black armor on. I nodded to her as I walked over to the sink then set the bowls to the side before grabbing a sponge to clean the bowls and the bread plate. I felt her eyes on me, and I turned to see her looking at me a hand on her sword. "Miss, I really don't want to fight with you right now so please walk away." She smiled as she looked at me then nodded her head.

"Your smarter them, you seem, Rookie, but I'm the second in the guild, and I don't think you've proven how strong you are. I want you to take out a class A monster. I looked at her for a second then nodded my head then looked back at the sink. "We both know that's not your call but, I'm always up for a good fight." I looked at her out of the corner of my eyes, and she smiled as she looked back at me. "but, I think you and whoever's behind that open door should leave." She looked surprised then smiled as she took her hand off her sword then knocked on the wall. A large man walked in with a set of full metal gauntlets with spikes on the knuckles. With two large scars over his shoulder going down his chest. With long white hair with a red streak going down the right side.

"Your sharp rookie."

I turned back to the sink as they walked out of the kitchen as I finished washing the bread plate then quickly washed the bowls. I dried my hands then walked back out of the kitchen, seeing Twilight backed into the corner by the Guildmaster.

"Come on, Ditch, that loser, and be my woman."

I walked up behind him and cleared my throat, and he jumped then turned to look at me. I crossed my arms as he looked at me, a little sweat coming from him. "I'll give ten seconds or you can take a right hook like a man. To corner a woman who's scared and you out rank makes me think your nto a real man." He turned about to yell, but I clenched my right fist hard, and flames erupted from it. He looked scared for a second, then spit on the ground then walked off.

"Fucking bastard."

I watched him go Twilight hugged my side with damn near strangle like strength as the flames stopped. I huff as I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and rubbed her shoulder. "Next time come into the kitchen with me."

"Ok."

I nodded then patted her shoulder, then she let go of me. I grabbed my sword off the wall, and Twilight grabbed her staff. I took her hand, then walked out of the dining room then took her to the room. I opened the door seeing one king-sized bed with a large couch. I smiled as I pulled her into the room and pushed her towards the bed. "I'll take the couch you can take the bed." I turned to walk over to the couch, but she grabbed ahold of my cape.

"Vargas..."

I nodded my head as I turned back to look at her. "Twilight, I'll sleep in the room with you, I'll watch your back and help you. But, I will not share a bed with you if that is what your thinking." She held onto my cape for a second, then let go, and I spoke again. "Twilight you're scared, your without your friends in a place you don't know how to deal with strange people and new things. Take the night to calm down and well talk tomorrow morning."

"Ok."

I nodded, then walked over to the couch, then took my sword off my back and leaned it on the wall. Then looked over at the closet in the room. I walked over and opened it, seeing a cover and a few extra pillows. I grabbed them then fixed up the couch like a bed. I started taking off my armor as Twilight started to talk again.

"So, Varga, I have to ask you about this. Are you dating Trixie or Gilda, or do you have feelings for one of them?"

"No, I don't have feelings for either of them I've never felt something like that. I've never loved a woman I've never wanted to love anyone."

"Why?"

I took my chest plate off as I looked at her as she walked over to the bathroom in her nightclothes. She looked at me, and I noticed the toothbrush in her hand.

"I don't care for love Twilight. I don't care to fall in love that's why I never really do something like this. Share a room with a woman does bother me but I have no interest in even finding love I don't need anyone."

"I guess it's up to you to make that chose but I know a woman who would fight you greatly on the view of love."

"Maybe but as you said I have the right to my view." She nodded and then walked into the bathroom, and I laid down on the couch, got under my covers, and turned to look at the backrest of the couch. 'Hm, why am I even talking about this? And, the flames on my fist how did I do that?' I closed my eyes thinking about what may be coming then the next few days.

Trixie pov ten hours earlier

I stepped off the train in ponyville and looked at the letter again. As Gilda walked off. "Ok, we're looking for a small Sapphire statue in the shape of a flower. It's supposed to be a magical conduit meant to boost healing magic by ninety-five percent."

"Cool, but why did they split us up like that. I mean sure we're a lot stronger now but Vargas is a huge part of us new fighting tactics. Sure, your magic is great with my brute force. But, now were going to have to fight a lot harder than smarter like Vargas had us doing."

I nodded, knowing she was right as Vargas did come up with great plans for fighting monsters. If we run in some of the stronger monsters in this forest, then we'd be in real trouble.

"Well, let's get going from what I know this castle is about an hour from this town. I really don't want to be in that forest at night."

I nodded, and we started to walk through town, and I pulled my cape collar up, helping hide my face knowing not many people here wanted to see me again. We quickly walked through town but stopped in the market, getting some food before we quickly rushed out of town when a few people started looking at us. We walked through the countryside with a few little animals around us. I looked forward, then Gilda shoved me while laughing.

"You know, you seem a lot more down then I do. I think you miss having Vargas here with you."

I blushed then shoved her back as she walked beside me. "Ok, maybe a do miss him but it's not like I want him around all the time." Gilda laughed as she nodded her head.

"Whatever you say Trixie but that look doesn't help you any."

I smacked her upside her head then walked ahead, wanting to get this over with quickly.

"Oh come, sure Vargas is a nice looking guy strong too. He'd make any woman a good husband or boyfriend. You know, he may very well find a woman sooner or later, given how he acts with women. It won't be too long. He treats us better then he does any man." I looked at her out of the corner of my eyes, seeing that smug smile on her face. I huffed as I turned to look the other way my cheeks burning.

"Hey!"

We stopped and turned back, seeing Applejack and Rainbow running up to us. We waited as they run up to us, then Applejack smiled as she looked at us.

"Hey Girls, we heard from you all got to become Luna's personal raid unit Congradulation!"

We nodded, then Gilda and Rainbow seemed to be in a staring match.

'Oh, boy.'

Vargas pov

I sighed as I leaned back into the bench as Twilight read a book beside me. "Why do we have to deal with a Kolbolt hoard." The train shook, and Twilight fell into my side. She pushed herself back up and looked at me.

"You took out two manticores, and Kolbolts are ranked around the same level, given the size of the Kolbolt. So since you killed two of them, you and I were picked to deal with them along with some of the local guards and a local adventurer. Besides, the guild master told us to do it."

I sighed as I leaned back into the seat as looked out the window. "Twilight, what do you think of this life?" She looked up from her book and looked at me. She seemed interested in the topic.

"Well, it's never boring, and sometimes people find rare or unknown materials. Some even find lost magic books or magic crystals with some weapons here and there. So, I guess the best way to answer the question is that I like the idea of finding something rare or incredible items. Like the tree of harmony that became my castle."

I nodded as she sat there and looked at me, expecting. "Guess it's my turn. Well, I guess I'm doing this as a way to make money. I don't really want much beyond the means to survive. I don't need anything fancy or want anything fancy. I have no family or extended kinfolk. So, I really have no reason beyond survival." Twilight looked up at me for a second, then frowned as she looked at me.

"You have no family at all?"

I nodded as the train shook again, making her fall into my side again. She pushed herself back up as she spoke.

"How can you be all Alone? Surely you have some family left somewhere?"

I was getting annoyed knowing I couldn't tell her I was ripped away from my home. I looked down at her, and she stopped as she looked in at me. "Drop it," I spoke through gritted teeth, and she shut up and moved away from me a little, then opened her book again. I sighed as I leaned back into the seat. I noticed some of the people on the train were looking at us. I huffed as I looked back to the large window to watch the landscape going by.

"Sorry."

I sighed as I looked over to Twilight as she looked at me out of the corner of her eye. "You're fine; I just really don't like to think of it." She nodded then was quiet as she read in the book. I looked at her for a second, then raised a hand, catching a train employee's attention came walking over.

"Yes, sir?"

I pointed over to Twilight and spoke. "Please bring her a cup of sweet tea, and if you don't mind, a cup of coffee for me." I pulled out the bits and gave her a tip. She took the bits then walked off to get what I asked for. After a few minutes, she brought us the drinks as well as a few little cakes. I took the tea and one of the cakes and passed them to Twilight. She thanked me and pulled down a table on the wall. I nodded, took my coffee and cake, stood up, and then walked over to the small table. I sat them down and set the cake to the side as I picked up the coffee cup. I sipped the life-giving drink as Twilight used her fork to cut some off some of the cake. The rest of the ride was quiet, as neither of us seemed to want to talk.

"We are now arriving at Baltemare, home of Equestria's deepest iron mine."

We waited for the train to come to a stop and stood. As the doors opened, letting everyone pile out. I grabbed my sword from the other head then walked off the train behind Twilight. She pulled out a map from her side bag as she started to walk.

"We need to head for the main guard station before going to the guildhall."

I nodded as we walked, and I hefted the sword onto my back as Twilight started to talk to me.

"Do you think we could find anything interesting when we go to deal with the hoard?"

"Maybe, you never know what you may find."

She smiled, but it didn't last as a blast of air hit up, and I covered my eyes with my left arm and held onto Twilight.

"Get back here, thief!"

The air stopped, and I looked up to see a man flying with a set of wings being chassed by a woman dressed like a fucking sheep with a white fursuit with hoof-like shoes and horns on the sides of her head. She had bright blonde hair and light brown skin.

Damn, she's fast with those hoof shoes as she chased after him. She got close near the end of the street, then jumped, threw her legs around, and kicked him down to the ground. He crashed down, and she landed beside him, jumping around like a kid cheering I got him. Twilight looked at him, and she looked at her as she bounced around; then she grabbed him and dragged him over to a large building. We looked at one another, then looked down at the map seeing the building was the main guard station. "Fuck."

"Ya."

We sighed as we started to walk down the street and up to the station. We walked into seeing the woman standing there, filling out some paperwork with her ass sticking out with a small sheep tail on her waist. I could tell she had nice round cheeks and was well-toned muscles. I could see the sides of her abs as she leaned over. Her breast jiggled as she moved her arms around, and I blushed as I looked at her. I looked down at Twilight out of the corner of my eye, and she was glaring up at me.

"Pervert."

"What? I'm a guy; I can't help it." She huffed, then stomped on my foot, and I hissed as she walked over to the front desk's other side. I sighed then walked over to the seats. I took the sword off my back and sat down, sighing as I closed my eyes, arms crossed. I sat there for a few minutes, then a voice I didn't know spoke to me.

"Hey, handsome, your Vargas, right~?"

I opened my right eye seeing the sheep woman leaned over, looking at me, and saw the blue eyes behind her blonde hair. She grabbed the arms of the chair as she leaned in, a smile on her face.

"Your strong, I can tell. Those Kolbolts won't stand a chance with me, and you are leading the charge!"

She was jerked back and fell to the ground, and I looked up at an annoying Twilight glaring down at her.

"Stay away from Vargas; he's my partner!"

Twilight yelled down at her as she laughed then threw her legs up.

"No!"

She threw her legs and threw herself up, and she did a quick spin then landed on my lap, legs on my shoulder. I blushed, and she smiled as she crossed her arms and locked one leg around my neck. Twilight when to grab her again, but she grabbed her arm as she reached for her.

"I've been looking for my own partner, but everyone I've come across we're too weak and slow, but you look like you can keep up with me. Besides, I've never had a guy as my partner."

I was speechless, and she laughed as she let go of me; and Twilight then kicked off the wall and flipped, then landed perfectly in front of the door. She smiled as she gave me a wave and spoke in a sweet tone.

"See you soon~."

I was stunned, and Twilight looked like she was about to end the world, but a female guard spoke up.

"Wow, she's never paid a guy any attention. Maybe what I've heard about her family is true."

We looked at her, and she started to explain after looking at us.

"Her family is said only to be interested in guys who they see in visions, but it's supposed to be vague."

"What's that got to do with me?"

She smiled as he held out a file with my name on it. I took it, then opened it and saw the photo taken a little while after I became an adventurer.

"Normally, they have a vision when they're young, but she's only come to her not too long again, and she said she saw a man with a head full of fire-like hair with a massive red sword."

I nodded as I looked at the sword at my side. "I fit that perfectly, but she's too much. Hell, I don't even know her name, and she just acts like a damn…"

"Vargas!"

I shut my mouth as Twilight glared at me. "Anyways, is she really the only adventurer coming with us?" She nodded as she crossed her arms as looked at me.

"Ya, she's the only one with the experience and skill to take on these beasts. Most of our city's adventurers can't fight off the Kolbolts. With her alone, she's slowly been losing the battle to them when they attack the farms outside of the city."

I nodded, then sighed as I stood up and grabbed my sword as another guard walked up with a few files in his hands. Twilight took them; then, he held up a bag.

"Here are some healing potions and some cure potions as some of the smarter ones have poisoned-tipped weapons."

We nodded then walked out of the station. While we walked down the street, I noticed we were getting looked at by everyone. I ignored it, then we took a turn and saw the guildhall, and the sheep girl was sitting on the fence of the guildhall kicking her legs. "Fuck…"

"Great, she's waiting on you."

I looked down at her, and she huffed as she looked forwards, arms crossed as she walked. I sighed as we walked down the street, and she smiled as she saw us coming. She jumped up, then started to run over to me.

"Vargas!"

I put a hand up, and she smiled at me. I pulled my book out from my hip holster, letting it scanned her. The book flew open, and her image came up.

I hummed, then nodded as I looked at her shocked face. I smiled, then closed the book, then set it back on my hip. I looked down at Heavy, then smiled, raised a hand, and then moved the hair out from in front of her eyes. I smiled as I looked right into her blue eyes. "Heavy Hoof, that name fits you nicely. But you really need to work on not coming on so strong. A pretty lady like you should act like a lady. Now, please go home, and we'll see you when we meet up to plan the attack on the kobolts." She blushed as she looked up at me, trying to say something, then nodded as she looked at me. I smiled, then let her hair fall back over her eyes. I could still see the red on her cheeks, then I patted her head, and she shoved me before taking off down the street. The hoof shoes making a clopping sound as she ran. I laughed as I watched her run away from me. "Can't believe that worked." I looked back at a surprised Twilight, who didn't seem to believe what she saw. I laughed as I grabbed her hand and started to walk again.

"How did you do that?"

I smirked as I pulled us up to the front door of the small guildhall. "When I did have a family, it was my grandmother and grandfather. They said if a girl ever started to act like a madwoman, just overwhelm them with kindness and a few compliments." Twilight didn't say another word as we walked into the guildhall seeing just a few people in old armor and weapons. They all looked at us and saw the newish armor I had on, and the silk robes and high-quality staff Twilight had. An older man behind the desk looked up from his newspaper and saw us. He smiled as he closed the paper as he stood, a smile on his face.

"Are you the loan-out adventurers from the main guild branch?"

I nodded as Twilight pulled out the letter with had from the guild master. She gave it to him, and he ripped the letter open. He pulled the letter out and started to read over it. He nodded his head a second later, then smiled as he looked at us.

"I'm glad to see a young couple like you two coming out here to help us. We have a few rooms in the back, but the heat is acting up, but the beds have thick comforters."

He reached down and grabbed a key, then held it out to me. I took it then we nodded to him as we started to walk to the room. The key had a four on it near the top. We walked down to the door with a four on it. I opened the door, and we saw a large queen-sized bed with a desk in the corner and a small bathroom on the sidewall to the right of the bed. I sighed as we walked in, and Twilight walked over to the bed and sat down. She looked at me for a second as I leaned on the wall noticing how cold this room was.

"So, I guess you're going to sleep in the bed with me tonight."

I looked at her, and she blushed as she looked me in the eye. "Would seem so." She nodded, then rubbed her arm, and she shook a little from the cold. I sighed as I took my sword off my back, leaned it against the wall, took off my top armor, and got my cape off. I walked over and wrapped it around her knowing it held heat well. She seemed happy as she held the cape tighter to herself. I took off the hip guards, then took my hip holster off. I set them off in the corner then sat down on the floor beside Twilight's legs.

"Does the idea of sharing a bed with me bother you still, Vargas?"

"We've talked about this Twilight."

She frowned, then I was covered in her magic. I was jerked back onto the bed, and I yelled in surprise. It was like being in the water as I felt it flow around me. She let me go, and I laid on the bed as Twilight looked back at me. She smiled with what looked like a victorious look in her eyes.

"See, that wasn't so hard, was it?"

I frowned, then sighed as I sat up, then sat my arms down on my crossed legs. "Well, you got me in bed, so…" She blushed, and I laughed as I looked at her. I nodded my head then ducked as she tried to hit me with her staff. I rolled off the bed laughing a little, then stood up.

"You're a jerk."

I blew a raspberry at her as she looked at me. I smiled as I sat on the edge of the bed, then pulled out my book. I opened the book then started to read over Heavy's information. I was a lower level, but I could take her in a fight if I had to, but it wouldn't be easy.

"Say, with a hoard, we may get the chance to find an egg."

I looked up from the book as she pulled a small book out of her side bag. She opened it to a page near the back and turned it to show it to me. There was a black egg with red lines going around it like lava. "I take it the eggs are worth a lot of money?" She nodded as she looked at me.

"They are, but most people chose to keep and raise the baby Kolbolts then sell them to the griffon kingdom for the meat."

I nodded before she closed the book and put it away. "If I get my hands on an egg, I'm keeping it for as long as it lives." She laughed, then rolled her eyes.

"Sure, you will, and you'll be the lucky one to find a blue egg kolbolt."

I gave her a looked, and she explained.

"A blue egg kolbolt is a super rare class of kolbolt. They grow rapidly with their level and are even capable of speck. Some even look like the dragonkin that work at you're home guildhall."

I smiled, then nodded as I closed my book. "That sounds good; I think I will find one."

She laughed, and I smiled as I looked up at the roof. She laughed, and I smiled as I looked up at the roof.

“Say, Vargas, I need to ask you something.”

“Hm?”

“If you never want to feel love, does that mean you never want to have kids?”

I looked at her, not sure what to say. “I’ve never given that any thought.” I crossed my legs as I rested my hands on my knees. “Well, adoption is always an option.” She nodded as she sat down on the foot of the bed, resting her staff in her lap. “What about you, Twilight? Do you want kids?” She blushed then turned away from me.

“I mean, one day, I would like to get married, but having kids is something else.”

I laughed as I uncrossed my legs, then got off the bed, and crouched down in front of her. She blushed as I smiled up at her. “Well, that’s a nice little dream, but I have a question for you, Twilight.” She looked at me red-faced as I smiled.

“Y-ya?”

“Do you want to be evolved too?”

She blinked as I stood up then grabbed my book off the bed. I turned back and saw she seemed to have calmed down a little; I sat down beside her and then turned to her page. “So, have you had a class up done before?”

“Ya, two times. I could have classed up at sixty-five, but I hadn’t had time.”

I laughed as I turned the back then tapped the circle, then pulled up her image, and saw evolution was available. I filled the required cores then I activated the circle. The energy came out, and Twilight moved back before the energy got her. A flash went off, making me cover my eyes. A few seconds later, the light faded, and I lowered my arm to look at her. My jaw dropped as I looked at her.

The woman sitting there was not the same woman I was talking with. Her hair was the only thing that was the same. Her tight purple shirt and shorts had changed to a skin-tight leather-like material. Her chest grew out like Gildas did but here only grew outsize or so. There were lines with a golden metal belt with a dark red gem with a half cape. Her arms had arm-length gloves with red gems at the elbow. Her legs had thigh-high legging with high heels at the end with stars over her feet and right on her thighs. She had a cape on with a red lining but had a star pattern on the outside. Lastly, her wooden staff had turned from a wooden staff with a small gem at the top to a metal staff with a massive star gem. "Holy…"

"I feel so strange."

“That will pass quickly. I felt it too, so let’s have a look at your new stats.”

“Ya, but can you help me up?”

I nodded, then reached down and grabbed her hand, then helped her up. She fell into me, and I helped her up and sat her down on the bed. I sat down beside her as she looked at the staff. I turned the pages then found her new image. I tapped it, and her image and stats came up.

“Holy, you’re new stats are on par with me.”

“What?”

I showed her the stats, and she looked shocked as she grabbed the book.

“What!? My hp went up nearly three-hundred points! And my attack power is nearly as strong as the new captain of the guard.”

I looked at her for a second then she looked at me. “Princess?” She laughed as she looked away from me.

“Ya, I’m the newest princess. But, I’ve yet to take my throne as I felt like I wasn’t strong enough to sit on the throne.”

I nodded, then took my book and put it back into the holster. “Well, all that aside, I think we need to get some rest. We’ll need to get up early so we can plan the attack.”

“Right.”

We didn’t say anything to one another as she summoned some more clothes then walked into the bathroom. I sighed as I laid back onto the bed and was worried about one of us moving around in our sleep. ‘Why does she have to be the first woman I’d sleep in the same bed with.’

“Um, V-Vargas.”

I turned my head and saw Twilight with her head poking out of the door, and I could see her holding a shirt to her chest. “Ya?” She blushed as she looked at me, embarrassed about whatever she was going to say.

“M-my shirts won’t fit my chest anymore.”

I blushed and groaned as I sat up then took my shirt off. “Here, I’ll take you shopping tomorrow afternoon.” I turned my head as she stepped out then took my shirt.

“Thanks, and I’ll pay you back once we get this whole mess dealt with.”

“Don’t worry about it.”

I waved a hand before I heard the door close. I sighed as I laid back down on the bed and looked at the wall. A minute later, the door opened, and I turned my head and saw she was in some very tight shorts on and my shirt, which barely fit her. I could see her lower stomach, and she tried to pull it down as she looked at me.

“Please don’t stare at me.”

I smiled, then got up, pulled a toothbrush out of my bag, and then walked into the restroom. I left the door open, seeing as I didn’t need to use the bathroom or take a bath. I brushed my teeth then turned on the sink. I leaned down and cupped my hands under the water, then brought them to my mouth. I raised my hands, then started to rinse my mouth out, then sip it out, letting the water wash away the spit. I shut the water off once it was gone. I set the toothbrush on the opposite side of the sink. I sighed as I stretched and looked at Twilight as she sat up in bed with glasses and a book in hand as the sun started to lower in the sky. I looked at an old clock on the wall and saw it was a little past eight o'clock. I hummed, then pulled the covers back and climbed back into the bed. I covered myself up, and as I laid there, Twilight spoke up.

“Hey Vargas, I have a question.”

I turned, and she looked at me with a smile as she marked her place in her book then sat it down on the nightstand. She smiled as she looked down at me.

“Do you think we’ll be able to take out the horde in a single blow?”

I laughed a little, then nodded as I looked at her. “Hell ya, well wipe them out and get back on our mission. As soon as we get back, I’ll kill my first A-class monster and get into that damn ring.” She smiled and nodded, then took her glasses off then set them on the book. I smiled as I laid back down, and she turned off the lights. I turned as she moved around then I felt her lay down. I closed my eyes, and it didn’t take long before I felt myself drift off to sleep.

Vargas dream space

I opened my eyes again and saw a large green field with trees off in the distance. I smiled as I looked around and found a tree alone on the top of a hill with someone standing there. I blinked then started to walk, wanting to see who was there. It didn’t take me long to get to the top of the hill. I saw a man standing there, but the thing that shocked me was he looked like my final evolution. “Ignis Halcyon Vargas.” He looked at me and smiled as he looked at me.

“Ah, I see you finally come to see me.”

I blinked, and he smiled as he sat down in the shade of the tree.

“Take a seat; it's time we talked.”

I sat down, and he smiled as he looked at me. “So?”

He laughed then he started to talk in a tone someone would use when talking to their child.

“Well, I’ll be straight with you Vargas, you're the next god to be born in this world. I was the last fire god, but I died long before Celestia or Luna was born. The merchant that gave those items was an old friend of mine. I told him I wanted another god of flames to come to this world. So, I told him to find someone who could take up the mantle. I didn’t expect him to find another me but this, but it’s fine.”

I laughed then crossed my arms as I looked at the sky. “So, I know my basic stats are lower than Celestia or Luna, so how do you think I’ll deal with them as we both know that may very well come to it.” He laughed as he looked at me, then he held a hand out to me.

“Have a looked at this.”

He turned his hand, and I saw a gem in his hand. A stats bar came up, and I looked at them, shocked.

He laughed, then closed his hand, then nodded as he pulled out a vile from a bag on his side.

“You’ll get there, and here’s something to help you along in the long term.”

I took the vile then looked at it. “What is this?”

“A liquid form of all the imp types. There are five of each and will boost your stats permanent stats. You can find them in high-level dungeons, but those are rare in this day and age.”

I laughed, then looked down at the vile, then looked at him. “How do I know all this is real?” He laughed, then leaned back into the tree. “Drink it, then check your stats when you wake up.” I laughed, then nodded as I opened the vile top then chucked, knowing the taste would suck. I coughed once I was done, then looked at him. “Fuck did I just swallow liquid ash!?” He laughed as he looked at me, then smirked as he snapped his fingers.

Vargas awake stat

I snapped awake, then shot up and felt something fall off me back onto the bed. The sunlight didn't bother me as much as that taste from the dream. I huffed as I sat in bed, and I could hear Twilight groan.

“What’s wrong, Vargas?”

I looked down at Twilight and saw she was right next to me. I rubbed my eyes as I stood up then looked back at Twilight. She yawned as she rubbed her eyes and sat up with a rat's nest. "It's nothing, just a dream." I walked into the bathroom and turned on the cold water. I cupped my hands under the water then slashed it on my face to wake myself up more.

“Ah!”

I jumped as I heard Twilight jump up. I looked back into the room as she grabbed her clothes.

"We've got an hour to get to the meeting!"

She rushed over and grabbed me with her magic, then threw me out. I hit the bed as she slammed the door. I sighed, then nodded my head before I stood back up and got my lower armor on, and grabbed my cape from her side of the bed.

‘Damn.’ I looked back at the door and yelled to her. “I need my shirt!”

“Hold on!”

I sighed as I sat on the bed with my armor beside me. After ten minutes, she opened the door and threw my shirt over to me. I smiled as I put it on, then got my armor on as she fixed her cape, and I stood after I got my chest plate then started to set my shoulder guards.

“Here, let me get the other one.”

I gave her my left shoulder guard, and she hooked it on, and I was done once it was on. I stood from the bed, then got my sword and set it on my back. I nodded then we started to walk out of the room.

“We're going to get breakfast on the way; we need to get to the main guard to get ready for the attack.”

“We don’t need to stop; remember all that meat I bought?”

She looked at me as I pulled the bag of dried deer meat out of my shoulder bag. She smiled as she took the bag from my hand.

“Thanks.”

She opened the bag and took out some meat.

“I can’t believe I forgot about you buying the meat.”

She started to eat as we walked down the street. "So, how do you think all this will go down?" Twilight hummed as she chewed on the meat. She swallowed, then spoke as we turned the corner.

"Well, we're just planning the assault, and in a few hours, we'll be charging the overrun mine shafts."

I nodded as we walked up to the guard station. We walked in, and I was surprised at all the guards checking armor and weapons.

"Hey, Vargas!"

I looked over, and Heavy walked overdressed the same as she was yesterday. I smiled as she walked up and crossed her arms as she and Twilight looked at one another. Bu, Heavy spoke to her in a slightly worried tone.

"Hey, why did two more from your guild show up?"

We looked at one another then I nodded as I looked down at Heavy. "Take me to them." She nodded, then waved for me to follow her. I knew they would be watching us. This is too obvious, far too direct. We took me to a room, and I walked in and saw the woman and man from the kitchen. They looked at me as I shut the door keeping Heavy out. "You two are here to keep an eye on me." It wasn't a question; it was a fact I was stating. She laughed as she looked at me and the man smirked as he looked at me. “I know the two of you are playing at some angle. If I think for a second you two are going to try something that may get someone killed, I’ll make sure you pay for it.” The man dropped his smirk, and the woman seemed a little surprised. “Stay out of this, and you will not be harmed.” The man seemed to get angry, and the women seemed interested in what I was saying. “You’ve been warned.” I opened the door then walked back out. Heavy looked at me, and she seemed confused,

“Vargas, what is going on?!”

I smiled as I waved her off. “Don’t worry, and they’re here to take on another quest. But, just give them their space, ok?” She nodded a little nervous but smiled as I nodded for her to walk along with me. I was a little worried now and knew I might have just put a target on my back.

"Vargas!"

I looked over as Twilight walked up to me with some papers in her arms. She hooked her staff to her waist somehow. Ignoring that, I spoke to her. "What's with the papers?" She pulled them out, and I looked at a fucking werewolf with a club in its hand. "Is this a Kolbolt?" She nodded as she pulled out another picture.

"They've also found out that there is an A-class Kolbolt down there."

She turned the paper, and I looked at a massive beast of a werewolf with a huge sword in hand. Around its neck was a necklace and around its waist was a belt with bags.

"Damn, a Death spots that's a rare breed of monster."

I nodded, and I crossed my arms as I looked at the picture. "I'll be dealing with that monster myself." They looked at me, and I smiled as I looked at it.

"Everyone, your attention!"

We all looked up at the guard captain of this station. We all quieted down as we all looked at a large map on the wall of what must be the mine.

"Ok, with two raid class advertisers now have enough power to finish dealing with this Kolbolt hoard. We know we're dealt with the outer layers and wiped out the weakest of the hoard, so now all we've got left to deal with are about two hundred of them. That alone is not too much trouble. The true threat is the death spot class Kolbolt. A beast of the A-class monster category. If the raid members will please come up here."

Twilight and I walked through the crowd and out to stand in front of the guards.

“Everyone, these are the raid members. Fencer Vargas the swordsman and her ladyship Princess of friendship Twilight Sparkle.”

Everyone looked at us, and I crossed my arms, and Twilight gave them a slight curtsey. With that done, the chief started to talk again.

“All, with that out of the way. We were going to have long-ranged magic attacks to scatter them. Once they are separated, it will be a melee down there in that fight, so do the best you can to stay safe. In an hour, we’ll be heading out, so get something to eat, and if you want to write a letter in case of the worst.”

‘Sir!”

With that done, we walked out of everyone’s view, and I saw a few people handing out black envelopes. A woman walked up to us and held out an envelope to each of us. I nodded as I raised a hand, but Twilight took it. She nodded then started to walk again.

“You know, you could at least leave a letter for Trixie and Gilda if something were to happen.”

I nodded then started to walk. “No, I’ve already left one in my room.”

“Wait!”

I stopped and looked back and saw Heavy rushing up. She had three sets of potions on her arms.

"I got a few of the health and stamina potions sets."

I nodded, then took off my chest plate as she handed over a set to me. I put them into my chest plate then nodded as I looked at Twilight. “Twilight, we need to talk alone.” She looked at me for a second, then nodded as she took her staff off her side. I grabbed my cape as her gem shined, and we were covered in pink.

‘Can you hear me?’

I blinked as the glow faded. ‘Y-ya.’ She smiled and nodded her head.

‘This spell will link our minds for a few hours. Now, what’s going on?’

‘Two of the members of the guild came here. I think they’re here to keep an eye on us.’

‘WHAT!?’

I nodded as we walked out of the crowd and onto the street. ‘Ya, I’ll deal with them if it comes down to it. You get away as fast as you can and get a message to Celestia and Luna.’

‘But, that would be a death sentence! These people want to keep gaining power. People like that don’t care. They'll kill you without a second thought!’

‘I sure I can take them if it comes down to it.’

I looked back at the building and had a bad feeling washing over me. ‘Changed my mind when it comes down to it.’

‘Vargas.’

The tone she was using was pitiful. I turned back to her and smiled as I looked at her. ‘Don’t worry; we’ll be fine.’
