A man split between two sides of a long lasting war
My name is Jason k Michaels and right now I'm sitting in the dark not hiding but I cant leave not yet that is. What's going on in the world has been going on for 200 years way before me though I have had some interaction in it at a young age with the opposite side of it as well as later on a war has been going on out there and well it's become more of a cold war with small skirmishes here and there anyway here's my story
My name is Jason K. Michaels and right now I'm sitting in a dark cell as big as a small bathroom, and right now I'm waiting for trail on war crimes against a country I didn't even commit as well as trespassing in their territory. What I'm more worried about is that i haven't even seen the rulers of this country i was picked up by the army and brought to the dungeons at their Capitol why I don't know they could have just killed me. Last time I was here was when I was just a boy I met two girls they were nice but they were older than me by a good amount but they introduced me to another girl one my age, but when tensions got high between my country and theirs again she got me out of the country and back to mine.
My family had been dead for a while before, so I was just roaming back and forth before they took me in but due to the tension they thought I would be safer with my own. Since then humans had migrated into their country and them into ours but the tension is still there. I was eventually put into foster care of a man i began to know as my commanding officer i joined the military at 18 and have been in for a while climbing the ranks i quickly reached corporal that's when i was sent on deployment to the boarder from there i was walking when I got picked up by their army you know the rest.
After I was thrown in here they would come by and question me usually with beatings and other forms of torture nothing to kill me but I know they weren't going by the books. If anything the only person that knows about my treatment is their direct superior. I wonder what they are doing they haven't come by since yesterday morning. A little hole in the door slides open at that moment letting in some fraction of light.
"Prisoner 5567 get up and go to the back wall facing it!" With that Jason stands and goes to the wall turning away from the door to tired to care. Once jason got to the wall the door opens letting the guards in to the room, they then walk up to him and punch him in the side of his ribs. Jason hunched in pain trying not to cry out. The guards grab his hands and put him into cuffs and drag him out of the room. The two guards drag him down the partly lit hall they came to a door with a guard standing there. 'He looks important '
The two dropped jason to his knees and kicked him forward the guard looks down and smirks at him.
"Well what do we have here? A human soldier? Well we do have an interesting trial to look forward to." With that the guard looks to the other two.
"Get him up and get him to the throne room for his trial and give him the good ole canterlot welcome while your at it." With that the guard walks through the door laughing like a maniac. The two guards from before look down at me smirking as they bring me to my knees.
"Welcome to your last day in canterlot." He says while bringing his fist into Jason's side while the other guard goes for his jaw making Jason spit blood onto the floor, after he hits the floor coughing up blood one of the guards bring their hoof into his gut and chest with multiple kicks. The guard picks him up while the other begins to use jason as a punching bag. After the guards were done they open the door to the outside and drag him out. As they drag him the staff and other guards look on with uncertain looks. 'I must look like I'm on the brink of death it doesn't matter once I'm trialed I'll be sentenced for death for the crimes that they accuse me of, I just want this to end already no need to draw it out.'
They finally reach the throne room when the guards on duty open the door they drag him inside. Looking around the room from his peripherals Jason sees a few ponies lining the walls. He looks forward slightly to see the royals in front, but what he got was not what he was expecting he saw two mares instead of a queen and king next to them stood a lavender pony whose back was to him speaking to the mares. The guards bring him to the bottom of the steps leaving him on his knees looking at the ground his face hidden from the eyes of his judges.
"Prisoner 5567 corporal Michaels you have been accused of crimes against equestria I would be lying if I said I wasn't surprised but I truly am we haven't had any problems with the human colony for 5 years, what possessed you to do the crimes you have been charged?" Jason doesn't say anything just looking at the ground with pain shooting through his body with every breath.
"It would suit you better to speak of your reasons."
"I didn't do what I've been charged with and I didn't know I was over the border if I was at all, the area I was in was not marked and I was just doing my job, if you wouldn't mind could we just get this over with it's not like I have any true family to go back to, if I was to be let go I don't think I would be in service much longer when my commanding officer hears about this." Jason spat as he continued to not look at their faces.
Jason didn't hear anything after that he was guessing they had decided what his punishment was gonna be. 'Maybe they will make it fast a quick decapitation or maybe a firing squad that or they could make an example of me and make it slow and painful whatever they do I don't care, then I wont have to deal with the troubles of this fight and just be at peace.'
Jason is snapped out of his thoughts as he hears hooves walking up to him he didn't dare look up. The steps stopped directly in front of him. Suddenly he feels the soft touch of hands on his face he tried to shake them off and fight them from lifting his face but he couldn't and fell to the will of the hands owner. Looking up to the owner of the hands his swollen face for all to see he wasn't expecting for the one that lifted his face to react the way they did. Standing in front of him with her hands over her muzzle was a blue coated mare with a mane and tail like the night sky with a tattoo of the moon on her right shoulder.
"Omg!... J... Jason is that you." Jason just looked at her in confusion. 'How does she know my first name?'
"Who's asking?" The blue mare just drops to her knees and brings him into a hug. Jason just looks past her shocked at what is happening for a moment he loses his consciousness but comes back quickly.
"Who... who are you?"
The mare is still hugging him crying into his shoulder barely able to speak.
" I.. it's me... L...Luna!"
Jason looks down at her crying form not knowing how to react about hearing that name he just decides to put his head down into her shoulder letting her cry.
Jason was letting the mare holding him cry her heart out not knowing what to say he wasn't sure if he was dreaming or that he had finally died from internal bleeding and this was his brain giving him one last good memory. He wasnt sure and he didnt care he didnt want it to end. He finally got to remeet one of the mares that helped him when he was a boy. He just sat there taking in her warmth something that was all to quickly ended when she stood back up looking down at the beaten and broken man that was her friend. Before anyone could react one of the guards from before ran up and kicked the man in his face.
"DO NOT LAY YOUR FILTHY HANDS ON HER HIGHNESS!!"
Everyone in the room could only look on in shock as Jason's body hits the ground blood flying from his mouth.
"HOW DARE YOU HURT HIM" Luna yells in rage at the guard. The guard just backs up in fear of the princess not knowing what to do.
"Guards take him away we will deal with him later!" With that the guard was taken from the room with the onlookers staring at the door before returning their attention back to the man on the ground. Luna rushes to his side lifting his face to meet hers.
"Luna what is the meaning of this what happened?"
"Sister its him... its Jason." Lunas sister and the lavender alicorns eyes grow wide as tears start to fill the edges
"EVERYPONY PLEASE LEAVE THE ROOM IMMEDIATELY AS WELL AS THE GUARDS AND BRING IN THE MEDICAL STAFF!"
"Luna i... is this true? Is that really Jason?" The lavender one asks almost on the brink of a melt down.
"Yes Twilight I would remember his face and voice anywhere even if it has gotten deeper he never lost his tone." With that twilight dropped to her knees crying over Jasons beaten body.
"I'm so sorry that this happened to you jason." Luna says trying to hold back her tears failing miserably.
"I... it's ok... L... Luna don't cry f... for me I made my... choices and I'm gonna live with them." Coughing more blood up Jason looks down at his long time friend crying uncontrollably over his chest.
"Hey twilight h... how you doing, better than m... me I hope."
"Please d..don't die, I already lost y..you once don't go again." With that she breaks down even more burying her face in his neck hugging him. Celestia just stands to the side not believing what she sees before her the once happy innocent little boy she once knew, beaten and broken the trails of military life taking their toll on his body. Jason turns his head to her looking into her eyes the once bright and cheerful eyes now a dull blue of their younger counter part.
"Hey Sunbutt... hows it been still the pra... prankster as ever i... I hope" with a strained chuckle Jason brings his head back down to Lunas lap trying not to move to much.
"Jason please dont move to much medical is on its way." Celestia chokes out holding back her own tears. Jason just smiles while letting the darkness take his vision slipping to unconsciousness.
"JASON PLEASE STAY AWAKE! JASON! JASON!" Luna cries out burying her face in his shoulder with twilight. Just then the medical staff rush into the room coming to the group.
"Princesses we need to move him now and get him treated before he loses to much blood." With that the two hesitantly release the man for the staff to take him away.
1 week later
Jason wakes up with a gasp frantically looking around the room taking in his surroundings. With noone in the room jason calms down and rests his head back down onto the pillow. Going back over the events of what happened before he blacked out Jason smiles at the memory of seeing his freinds again not knowing if it was a dream or not. After an hour of waiting Jason notices nature making a call so he decides to try and get up out of bed. Leaning up Jason feels pain throughout his body and lays back down breathing heavily, trying again he takes his time throwing his legs over the side of the bed and grabbing something sturdy to help him up.
Making his way slowly to the bathroom he opens the door revealing a clean bathroom with a shower/bathtub on the far wall and a toilet and sink with a mirror on the left wall. After doing his business he makes his way to the sink washing his hands and splashing his face to get the gunk out of his eyes and his hair down to a state of normalcy. Looking at his face he can see the cuts in his face where he had been beaten and the slight mark's of bruising around his cheek and eye. After his look in the mirror he makes his way back to bed laying back down wondering when a nurse or anyone would make their way to his room.
After another 30 mins of laying there Jason hears someone walking just outside his door when they suddenly stop. The handle starts to move opening the door revealing someone he thought was just a fragment of his dying imagination. Twilight walked into the door with food and get well soon cards on a small tray. Her eyes were red and dark rings were under her eyes from lack of sleep. She was talking on the phone when she came in so he heard what seemed like the end of the conversation.
"I know Fluttershy, I'll let you girls know if anything changes... no you dont need to come up here to help... no I'll be fi...." twilight stops mid sentence her eyes going wide as she drops her phone and tray in surprise to seeing Jason awake. "J.... Jason?"
"Hey twi..." jason didnt get to finish as twilight threw herself into Jason crying into his shoulder.
"Your awake! I cant believe it the doctors said you might not wake up." She says burying her face into his shoulder.
"Hey stop crying I'm alright see I'm not dead and I'm not in a coma so please stop crying." Twilight crying slows down but it's still there.
" I thought I lost you again." Twilight adjusts her body so that shes laying on the bed with jason hugging him not letting her go in fear that he might disappear if she does.
"Dont worry twi I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." After an hour of them laying there the door bursts open revealing two more mares who run into the room frantically looking around upon seeing Jason the two run over grabbing Jason in a tight hug burying his face in there chests.
"CANT BREATH NEED AIR!" Jason yells through the cleavage that is his soon to be executioners. After the two release him Jason takes in much needed air looking at the two mares who look at the ground embarrassed by their actions.
" We are sorry jason but when we were told that you had awakened we got here as fast as we could, and well we got a bit carried away."
"It's alright but what happened how long was I out?"
"After you blacked out you were taken to the medical wing and treated for your injuries they said you were in a coma and unsure if you would even wake up." Celestia says looking Jason over taking in his features.
"Since then we would come to check on you, we haven't been getting as much sleep as we should especially twilight." Looking over at the mare who has been sleeping peacefully since calming down.
"I could tell seeing how she had dark rings under her eyes."
"Yes the whole thing has taken its toll on her, but enough of that how do you feel?"
"Like I just got put through the ringer with a pack of angry badgers the thrown out a four story building. Other than that I feel fine." After talking for a while longer twilight had woken up with a small smile on her face.
"Morning sleepy head, sleep good?"
"Mmm yea..." Twilights eyes shot open and she shot out of bed falling on the floor landing hard and on her rear.
"Ouch."
"Haha... hey there have any pleasant dreams?"
"Hardy har har very funny why didn't you wake me up?." Twilights asks with slight annoyance in her voice.
"Because you looked so peacefull and from what I've been told you needed it." Twilight got up looking at jason with a glare but it quickly softens, looking around she sees the two princesses in the room looking at her with smiles.
"Good morning Twilight did you sleep well?" Luna leans over to her sister whispering into her ear.
"Oh my Twilight I didn't know you were one to think about that." Celestia says with a chuckle.
"What was she dreaming about?" Jason asks confusion evident on his face.
"Do. Not. Tell him." Twilight says venom in her voice.
"Relax fair Twilight we were only teasing. Now you must be hungry Jason would you like to join us for lunch?"
"Um yea sure, shouldn't we get the doctors in here run a few tests make sure everything is on the up and up?"
"No need to worry we preformed a spell checking all of your vitals and the only thing we must worry about is you over doing it for the next two weeks."
"Of course you did always one to get right to it huh." Celestia just looks away with her face going red.
"Well it has been a week and I'm sure you wouldn't want to be held up in a hospital room any longer than you have." Jason chuckles laying his head back on the pillow.
"Alright let's go but first I need a change of clothes and some help to get around." With a flash of light a bag of clothes and some crutches appear to the side of Jason.
"Well that's handled if you girls wouldn't mind giving me some privacy to change and I'll meet you out side."
"As you wish Jason we will see you when you are done." With that the three mares walk out of the room leaving jason to change. Standing up with the help of the table next to his bed Jason grabs the clothes putting them on. Donning a pair of dark blue Jean's boots and a black Metallica shirt Jason grabs his crutches and makes his way to the hall.
"Well don't let anyone say you don't clean up nicely." Lunas says looking Jason up and down.
"Thanks luna... so, lunch."
"Ah right this way I'm sure your hungry."
"Very." As the group makes there way to the dining room Jason takes in the surroundings and decor of the castle, as they walked down the hall Jason noticed a few things mainly the murals depicting history of equestria specifically the ones that twilight is in the defeat of nightmare moon discord and a few more after all the way up till now showing her gain her wings making her a princess.
" damn twi I sure missed a lot didn't I."
"Yes you did were you able to keep up with the history after you returned home?"
"Yea at least the few clipits of what came over with the ponies that moved."
"Ah I see we have learned a bit of history from your people as well since humans started to move here."
"Celestia I don't mind the small chit chat but with tensions and fighting going off and on why would you let us move to equestria?"
"The same as your government, we wont turn away those that have no participation in the politics and other reasons we would allow them to be here just to try and let people live their lives the way they wish to, yes tensions aren't as low as we wish but what can you do politics are a mind numbing and annoying thing to deal with but we must do it so good can come from bad things before they get to much worst." Jason understands their reasons the American government is the same way he isn't to sure about other countries but all he knows is that they have no problem with the equestrian government or they do but don't want to cause a war to break out with a country that has magical abilities.
"Its the same way with our side but politics and political figures just like to cause more issues than there needs to be, but it usually stems from previous events and they just try to fix what they can." Celestia and luna give a slight nod to that.
"Anyway enough of this topic we should be celebrating our reunion should we not." Luna says with a extra bounce in her step.
"Lunas right we shouldn't be talking about politics right now." Twilight says agreeing with luna.
After a few mins of walking they finally reach the dining room where they take their seats luna and twilight taking seats on both sides of Jason and Celestia taking the seat in front of them. The waitress comes out asking what the group would like and they give their orders. They make idle small talk while they wait for the food going from what they have been up to and in little tidbits of gossip that they have come across.
"Wow twi I knew you had a bright future but for real element of harmony and a princess that's crazy." Jason says with a chuckle.
"What it's TRUE I am one of the elements of harmony as well as princess of friendship." Twilight states with pride. Almost spitting out his drink Jason swallows and starts laughing.
"Really princess of friendship the girl that didnt care about much else other than books and magic is the princess of friendship, that's a shocker."
"What, how!? I can make friends!"
"Let me guess ones a tomboy a farmer a beauty queen an overly active person and a teacher?"
Well for the first 3 dead on but the last two yes and no PINKIE pie is a party planner as well as a Baker and fluttershy is a animal lover as well as ponyvilles resident vet shes also extremely shy."
"Meh I was right about three of them." Before they time to go more into it the waitress and waiters brought out the food and placed it down in front of the respective person who ordered it.
Celestia ordered a ceaser salad with a cake for dessert, luna got a sandwich with what seemed to be flowers in it, twilight got the same thing but with a cupcake for dessert, while Jason got a juicy sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with a glass of whiskey to drink.
"Damn this looks good and I haven't had a decent glass of whiskey in a while.
"Well I'm glad your so happy well no need to wait dig in I'm sure you cant wait to eat it."
"With pleasure." With that Jason cut into his steak taking a bite. With a happy smile Jason let's lose all hesitation and digs into his food with as much gusto as possible. After finishing his food he looks around the table at the smiling faces of his freinds with his face reddened from the stares he clears his throat before breaking the silence.
"So um sorry about that i must have been hungrier than I thought, it was delicious though." Jason says while grabbing his drink to wash down what was left in his teeth.
"Anyway what's gonna happen now, am I going to be sent home or am I gonna be kept here for the charges i was accused of?"
"Let's not talk about that now let's just enjoy the moment and catch up shall we." Twilight says not wanting to get into what's gonna happen to her lost friend, and so they went back to chatting and eating. Eventually their party ended up in Celestia's room with drinks being served and drunken shenanigans ensuring. The next morning Jason woke up in a bed that was not his own looking around he noticed it was still dark. Looking for a clock he spots one next to the bed with it reading 6:00 am.
'Fuck not even daybreak yet. Ugh what happened last night dinner check went back to Celestia's room check we started drinking and after that nothing.' Jason was brought out of his thoughts by movement next to him with hesitation he grabs the blanket and pulls it back to reveal the person laying next to him. Once the blanket was removed Jason couldn't help but swallow the lumb forming in his throat as he looks upon the mare laying next to him being none other than Luna with a small smile on her face.
My name is Jason and well life has always had a funny way of screwing with me first it was me never knowing my parents and kinda bouncing around foster care untill one day I met some of the worst people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. They took me in when I was 6 I lived with them for a year before I ran away i was on my own for about a month untill I came to equestria I wasnt treated as bad as the people that took me in but they let me know I wasnt welcomed, it wasnt untill one night while I was having a nightmare about the couple when it suddenly vanished and from the void I heard a voice of a female soft and friendly but there was something more hidden behind the friendliness, and jason knows what it was sadness and loneliness because he would do the same thing. Hide behind a mask of happiness and laughter while really being angry and bitter with the world he lives in. The voice told him not to be scared and to be strong when faced with adversity. When he woke up there were two mares standing in front of him he didn't know it at the time what their roles were. The first thing he noticed was the blue mare with the look of someone who was feeling the same way as him but more with her self than anything, then she spoke asking if he was hungry, what took him for surprise was that it was the same voice as in his dream.
Jason didn't say anything but merely nodded in response taking her hand as they lead him out of the forest he was sleeping in, jason doesn't remember to much of his time with them other than a few memories and their names, he doesn't remember where he stayed but he knows that it had to be a nice place, then the tension and fighting started again so they sent him back to his country so the population of equestria wouldn't come after him in case they thought they deserved some form of revenge for things that didn't involve Jason at the time. Once Jason got back he was throne back into an orphanage a year passed when a man came in looking to adopt he was dressed in a military uniform everyone seemed to be in a sort of frenzy getting kids ready not even bothering with me the problem child. But the man had different plans he came right up to Jason and asked him if he wanted a home and a chance to be more, or if he wanted to continue being treated like a problem.
Jason didn't say anything and walked away from the man. He thought that was the last time he would see him but unfortunately Jason was wrong and he soon found him self in a lifted truck on his way to his new home, at least that's what he thought. His new "home" was more of a boot camp, training him to be a soldier as well as smart. When the time came for jason to join the armed forces he was forced into a job that would have him up front or on the boarder ready for any conflict to break out that was when he was taken by equestrian forces. Now he was sitting in a bed with the mare from his past half naked while she was sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face in a gown that barely went past her hips and dark blue panties.
"Oh shit."
'What the hell happened?!? Fuuuck please tell me I didn't do anything while drunk for the love of everything holy and good pl..." before he could finish his thought Luna began to stir. "Mmmm." Luna sits up rubbing the sleep from her eyes after stretching she looks right at Jason her smile coming back.
"Uhh morning L...Luna ho... how did you sleep?" Luna looks at him and gains a more lustful look in her eyes. Crawling her way closer to him.
"Mm I slept pretty good after what happened last night."
"Y... yea and what happened last night."
"Oh nothing much...." luna says getting right next to his ear. "... other than you making me a very very happy mare." Jason didn't know what to do other than scramble back and off the side of the bed sputtering out his words.
"L l luna I don't k know what yo your talking about b but what ever happened i just w want you to know I'm really sorry, and that it wont happen again! Please don't cut my dick off and feed it to the timber wolves!" Jason pleads putting his face to the floor and curling into a ball in fear that she'd change her attitude from happy to pissed.
What happened next threw Jason for a loop causing him to give a very confused what the fuck face to the night princess.
Luna was giggling trying to hold full gut wrenching laughter back from Jason's misery.
"Jason we were only kidding the look on for face was priceless though." Regaining her composure she sits back on her rear in the bed looking at Jason.
"Come jason wont you rejoin me back in bed your warmth was very welcoming and I wish to get a little more sleep after last night." With a growl Jason gets up off the floor and back into the bed with luna.
"That was fucking evil luna I almost had a heart attack I thought I did something to you while I was drunk." Jason scolds while pulling the cover back up.
"Well other than not letting me go all night and being quite cute while giving everyone hugs nothing else happened."
" Then why am I in your room half naked?"
"Well after we called it a night you wouldn't let me go and leave you in your room and seeing as I had no choice I brought you back here to sleep."
"That explains how I got here, but it doesn't explain why I'm naked. "
"I'm sorry I didn't want your dirty clothes in my bed." With that Luna wraps her arms around Jason's body while she cuddles close, with a yawn she closes her eyes and goes back to sleep. Jason just lays there not knowing of what else to do he simply lays there with his hand messaging her back as she sleeps.
'Ugh fuck me, what's happening why is this happening, a few days ago I was patrolling the border not caring for much else, and now I'm here with people I NEVER thought I'd see again. ' Jason let's his thoughts run as he drifts off to sleep.
2 hours later Jason woke up to the sun shining through the window looking around he was surprised that Luna didn't wake him up before leaving. Getting up from the bed Jason feels his back and joints pop from the movement.
'Weird barely any pain'
Jason stood from the bed looking around the room finding his clothes folded on a chair in the corner with a note on top.
~ Your clothes have been cleaned and we will be waiting in the dining room for breakfast. Luna♡~
"Really you could have woken me up." With a sigh Jason puts his pants, socks and boots on, grabbing his shirt he walks to the balcony window over looking the country side. Taking in the view Jason notices a small town out in the distance with a massive crystal looking castle in the center. From here he cant tell much of the town but he does see a farm of some sorts and a thick forest on one side stretching for miles next to it theres a less dense wooded area that connects going around the town. Further out north there are more mountains but they look to be covered in snow blocking whatever lays beyond them. Looking way out west it seems like the it goes on forever but is lost to more mountains and hills.
After putting on his shirt Jason makes his way to the door upon opening Jason takes note of two things one there are two guards there and two the female one seems to be eyeing him up and down in interest.
"Um morning." The male guard looks at his female partner and rolls his eyes before looking back to Jason.
"Good morning corporal we have orders to escort you to the dining room once you had awakened."
"Easy there bud no need to address me by rank I'm not here as a soldier."
"Sorry about that corporal but we were told to address you with respect from the princesses them selves." Jason groans in annoyance before turning to leave.
"Alright fine, but next time you address me you'd better be standing at parade rest you got that!" Jason states with a firm glare.
"Y... yes sir!"
"Ha I'm only kidding no need to get your panties in a bunch, calm down relax a little around me im not some dick that abuses his power like that, but don't take my kindness for weakness cause I'll lay you out faster than a bull charging you. Ya got that."
"Yes corporal" the guard says going ridged, the female guard just giggles at her partner's misfortune.
"Alright enough of this crap let's go I'm starving."
"Right just follow us corporal."
'This is gonna be a long day.' With a sigh of annoyance Jason follows the two guards trying to ignore the mare glancing back at him.
Once the group got to the dining room the guards opened to doors allowing Jason entry once inside they closed the doors behind him, looking around the room Jason finds the girls at the table a chair open between Luna and Twilight.
"So how is everyone's morning going?" Jason asks looking around the table.
"My morning has been good so far." Said twilight
"This morning has been good, and day court wont start for a few more hours so I can sit and enjoy my tea today so that helps." Celestia said with a content smile.
"Our morning was quite enjoyable waking up in yo!!!" Luna never got to finish as Jason stopped her with his hand clamping finger mouth. Celestia and Twilight looked at the two with looks of confusion. Jason started to talk letting go of Lunas mouth.
"Well if everyone's morning has been good and it seems you all have been awake for a while have you eaten yet?" Jason asks trying to not make eye contact with the other two mares staring at him.
"Well then... no Jason we haven't ate yet we were about to order our food when you showed up we weren't sure if you would be joining us or not."
"Alright cool." Jason says taking a seat next to Luna and Twilight.
After the four ordered all the girls getting rose omelets and jason getting bacon sunnyside up eggs and biscuits and gravy the group decided to partake in some small talk.
"So how did the rest of your night go jason?" Asked twilight.
"Well I don't really remember much other than the first few rounds of shots and the beers that I had other than that I had a good night"
"Well with how you wouldn't let my sister go I'm sure you did." Celestia says with a small chuckle.
"Nothing happened I even woke up on the couch in her room." 'Theres no way I can tell her I woke up in her bed.'
"Sorry for being so blunt but I'm getting tired beating around the Bush but what's going to happen to me am I going to be punished for what happened or am I being sent back?"
All the girls stopped to look at each other as if asking who was gonna talk first.
"Jason while you were healing we got into contact with your government and chain of command and let them know of the situation." Celestia began and her sister taking over.
"While they were wanting to have you brought back to be reprimanded we assured them that we wouldn't be putting you on trial and that our guards have been punished for what they did to you. What they wanted was you to come back but we offered a sort of deal well more of a alliance proposal." "Thats right while they wanted to send a political ambassador we offered that you stay here and fill that role." Stated twilight.
"Yes while at first they weren't sure about it seeing as your not in a position of office, but when we said that we had known you for a long time and explained that we knew you when you were young they shut up about how it wouldn't be the best option."
"So what I'm a ambassador now for my country."
"Well yes you have been given new orders to report here to be more of a face then a negotiator though."
"I see so what am I supposed to do then."
"Well nothing you can go off and do what you need to do and live here in equestria while you will be needed for some conferences with other territories but other than that any and all negotiations will be between us and your government."
"Alright where will I be staying than?"
"He can stay with me in ponyville i have enough room in the castle there!" Yelled a happy twilight.
Twilight then realizes what she did and looks at the ground sheepishly trying to make her self as small as possible.
"Ok then I'm rooming with her but what about money and my stuff back home?"
"Oh that is simple we had all of your belongings brought here and they will be sent to the castle in ponyville as for money you will get a monthly payment for anything you might need." Chimed luna.
"Well if everything's handled then I don't have anything else on the matter."
"Great now shall we eat and then we can head to the tarin station and have you sent to ponyville to get settled in."
After breakfast was finished the group went to where Jason's stuff was so he could grab a few things he would need then it was off to the train and his new home.
'Well looks like my life just got more interesting.... FUCK!'
The group made their way to were Jasons gear was as they come to the room celestia unlocks the door and they all walk inside. On a table in the middle of the room Jason found all of his gear that he had when he was taken by the guards. Walking up to it he grabs his m4a1 rifle and removes the mag and ejecting the round that was in the chamber inspecting for any damage and to make sure it wasn't tampered with. Placing the rifle on the table he grabs his pistols doing the same thing instead of a standard issue m9 he was allowed to use a five seven in its place. After that he checked his grenades flash bangs and smoke grenades then moved on to the rest of his gear from his nvgs sappie plates for cracks his radio helmet and any other gear he had for survival and medical use. Once Jason was satisfied with the shape his gear was in he began to put on some of his gear skipping out on the helmet and pack he hadh, he holsters his pistol and slung his rifle across his back and put everything else in his pack.
"Alright ready to head out twilight?"
"Your gonna wear that gear to ponyville?"
"Yea you never know when you'll need it seeing as me being here wasn't really kept secret you never known if someone might hold some ill feelings."
"Jason while I do understand where your coming from maybe it best to not wear it and go with the jeans and t-shirt you've been wearing." States luna.
"My sister is correct, if you show your not a danger you will be left alone i assure you."
"Fine for you I will but I'm keeping my pistol on me with a few extra mags."
"Thats all we ask." Says celestia with a smile.
After getting what he will keep the group makes their way down to the train station with jasons bags of gear in tow.
After getting to the station the group says their goodbyes.
"You will write to us will you not jason." Asks luna with a few tears in her eyes.
"Luna I will write when I can and visit just as much hell you can come down when you want or see me in my dreams you do realize this right?"
"We do but it dosen't get any easier to say goodbye." Jason wraps luna in an embrace one that she returns in full force silently crying into his chest. Letting go of luna Jason turns to celestia with his arms open.
"It will never be easy saying goodbye to you since last time we never thought we would see you again, you know that Jason." Celestia says embracing her friend. After the goodbyes the train horn sounds signaling that its time to go, and with that twilight and Jason boards the train waving goodbye.
Once twilight and jason enter the sleeping compartment they asked for, Jason pulls out his five seven to make sure it had a round in the chamber, being satisfied that it was ready for use if the need arises he re holstered the weapon and goes to sit down on the bed, dragging his hand through his hair sighing while he lays down.
"You ok jason?"
"Yea I'm OK just alot to take in, I go from being beaten and tortured to being an ambassador for my country its just a lot all at once."
"I get where your coming from when I became a princess I was so worried and scared that I was gonna have all these responsibilities that I had no idea as to how to go about them."
"You seem to have everything under control we haven't had to be sent in to bring down a dictator ship yet so thats a win in your book."
"SHUT UP! Did I really seem like that when we were kids?"
"Hahaha! I'm just pulling your leg but its true you do seem like you got things under control how'd you do it?"
"With the help of my friends they helped me see that even with my new title it wouldn't matter cause I could rely on them for help if I needed it, and they would be with me every step of the way."
"Sounds like a good group of ponies can't wait to meet them."
"Well their meeting us in ponyville along with barb."
"Barbs still around haven't seen her in years how old is she now?"
"She's 20 now, and she can't wait to see you again. I told her what happened and she's pretty worried so be expecting a hug when you get off the train."
"Makes sense she was only two years younger then us when celestia found her, and I'm sure she'd be giving me one either way considering she would never leave me alone while we were kids."
Twilight giggles at that.
"Thats true she always was so fond of you I couldn't see her go a day with out asking when we were gonna go find you. She was so upset when you had to leave as was I and the other Princess's." Twilight says as she climbs into the bed with jason laying her head on his chest content with listening to his breathing and heart beat.
"How's cadence last time I saw her she was still babysitting for you and me whats she doing now."
"Shes doing fine she married my brother and they are in the crystal empire now with their foal flurry heart." Jason had to take a second to process that information not believing it.
"Wow really your brother, the guy with a stick so far up his ass he makes the Jonas brothers look straight?" Jason was smacked in the chest for that.
"Thats not very nice and he was only like that with you cause he was looking out for me."
"Yea well he needed to chill out hopefully cadence got that out of his system before I see him again."
"Don't worry he's calmed down since I've gotten older he's still protective but he's calmed down and you won't have to wait long when I called cadence to tell her you were back and what had happened she wanted to come down and rip that guards head off her self."
"Hehe thats cadence for you she always had a soft spot for me." Twilight snuggled closer to Jason holding a bit tighter as if he was just gonna pop out of existence if she didn't.
"Can you blame her with what happened to you in our younger years and now how couldn't she want to look out for you."
"I know I know don't worry I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." As he says this he starts to rub twilights back comforting her.
Twilight starts to softly cry burying her face in his chest.
"I thought you were gone and then to see you barley holding on to life like that it felt like I died inside looking at your bloodied face it wasnt something I would ever think could happen to you." Jason brings twilight closer to him just holding her letting her cry.
"Its OK twi just let it out. I'm here now so don't worry ok." Twilight just cried until she finally went to sleep jason not far behind her.
An hour later jason is awoken to some commotion in the passenger car looking over he sees twilight isn't there, and the noise getting louder so he gets up heading to the door he's about to open it when he hears twilights voice and what he hears makes his blood boil. Pulling out his pistol he takes off the safety and slowly opens the door looking to the passenger car he see bandits robbing the passengers one of them holding twilight in his grasp making his rage show.
"Please don't do this just take what you want and leave just don't hurt anyone." Beggs twilight.
"OH we are gonna take what we want including you your gonna make us very happy." The bandit says as he starts to reach down to twilights breasts. Twilight smacks him in the face causing him to release his grip and push her down to the floor.
" you bitch your gonna pay for that." Before the bandit could think jason fires a round into his hand stopping him from getting to twilight again.
"Ah Buck!" Yells the bandit as he grips his now bleeding hand.
"That was a warning the next one won't be now drop your weapons and get on the floor! NOW!" Jason commands.
"What makes you think we are gonna listen to you ape! As I see it your out numbered there's 6 of us and one of you."
"You really want to push your luck with marine special forces?" With that a few of the bandits seem to reconsider but their leader stops them.
"Bullshit he's bluffing guys get him!"
Two bandits rush at jason with knives jason effectively puts them down with his five-seven but a third had come right after kicking jasons gun away and swings at him with a fist. Jason dodges the strick and counters by grabbing his arm and delivering a punch to his elbow breaking his arm and kicks him away. The other three come at him and proceed to throw strick after strick to jason who dodges and blocks the strikes but gets an unlucky kick to his chest sending him back just a bit and to the ground jason looks to his left for anything and he finds his pistol grabbing it he gets up and rushs the bandits firing a round into the knee of the bandit in the front dropping him to his knees jason brings his knee to meet his face knocking out the bandit the next bandit grabs his gun and tries to take it from jason but jason brings his knee to the bandits stomach making him let go and brings the gun down onto the back of his head putting him to the floor jason looks up to see the leader with twilight in his grip stopping jason.
"Now your gonna listen or she's gonna get hurt do you under stand!" Jason still has him in his sights but looks at twilight. "Twi do you trust me?"
She nods her head to him in response. "What are you talking about i mean it she's gonna die here if you don't put down your weapon now!" "Good just close your eyes ok." With a nod twilight closes her eyes.
"OK thats it I was hoping it wouldn't come to this!" As he starts to bring the knife to twilight jason pulls the trigger sending a round through the bandits eye dropping him instantly. Jason rushs to twilight as she drops to her knees, he drops down and holds on to her tightly as she cry into his shoulder.
"Its ok its OK, just listen to my voice your alright im here alright." Jason looks around for some one to help and he sees a stallion in the chair in front of him. "Hey buddy." The stallion looks at him, fear in his eyes. " yes you i need you to grab some rope or zip ties anything to tie the guys still breathing up so they can't move ok and I need you to do it now." With that said the stallion runs to grab something. And few mins later he comes back with rope and ties the bandits up so they couldn't try anything. "Twilight come im gonna help you up and back to the room ok." Twilight gives him a small nod and gets up with jason. After bringing her back to the bed he grabs some rags and cleans up the specks of blood and any remaining tears from her face and lays her down before he could turn away twilight grabs his hand.
" please don't leave." Twilight begs Jason nods and gets into the bed with twilight holding her close until they both fall back to sleep. After reaching the ponyvill station jason wakes up twilight letting her know they were there. "Jason thank you for saving me but could you not let the girls know about this I don't want them to worry any more than they are." "Sure twi let's just go ok." Twilight makes her way off the train while Jason grabs their things. Looking around the station twilight tries to find her friends but hears some one call her from behind.
"Twilight darling there your are dear."
Turning around twilight finds her friends standing at the stairs of the platform. "GIRLS!" Twilight runs to her friends giving them all hugs "Its good to be home." "Well we are happy to have you back how was canterlot and your friend you said he was in the hospital I do hope he is ok."
"Yea he's OK he's out of the hospital now and he's going to stay here with me for the time being."
"Oh I'm glad to hear that twilight dear." Says rarity giving her friend another hug
"Where is he any way I want to see the guy thats kept you away for so long" asks rainbow dash.
"Yea I've been wantin ta meet this guy aswell" states applejack. "Oh oh I hope he likes cupcakes (GASP!) I can't wait to start his welcome to ponyville/congrats for getting better party!" Pinkiepie says while bouncing up and down.
"I hope he's nice." Says fluttershy." Twilight laughs at her friends giddiness.
"Hes just grabbing our stuff and he'll be here in a min, I should let you all know thats he's had it kind of rough not only now but in his past before I meet him as a filly."
"Whatever do you mean?"
"Well he was an orphan when the princess took him in when tensions became rocky they sent him to his country so he would be safe incase anything was to kick off."
"Oh thats terrible I hope he was taken care of."
"For the most part he was im guessing but he joined the armed forces at 18, he was taken by the equestrian army along the border that he was stationed at and then you all know the rest."
"So your telling me your friends with a soldier from a country we haven't been on good terms with. Sugarcube I understand he's your freind but can we really trust him?"
"Applejack I understand his position but thats why he is here now he was made into an ambassador and technically he's an equestrian citizen due to being adopted by the princess's even though that was changed when he was sent back for his saftey."
"Darling are you saying your friend is a prince."
"Yes and no because him being adopted by them was never announced and they didn't want to put him in the spotlight due to what he's been through they wanted him to have a somewhat normal childhood."
"Heh I can't wait to see what he's got in a fight if he's a soldier." Says rainbow while she cracks her knuckles.
"Oh there he is. JASON OVER HERE!" Jason looks to twilight from the door of the train and steps down to walk over to her.
"Oh my he certainly is cute." Says rarity fanning herself with a hand.
"He sure got some muscle on em." States applejack.
"He don't look that tough."
"Hes kinda.. intimidating."
"Dont worry flutershy he's actually very nice." As jason walks up he sets the bags on the ground and notices all the other mares.
"HI you all must be twilights friends, I'm jason its nice to meet you all."
"That we are its nice to meet ya my nam..." Jason cuts her off before she could finish. "Applejack rarity pinkiepie rainbow dash and flutershy." Jason states while pointing to the respective mares.
"Sorry twilight told me about you all while we were still in canterlot."
"Its fine darling twilight was just telling us about you and might I say you look even better in person." Rarity says fluttering her eyes at the man.
"Um.. heh thanks I guess." Jason says rubing the back of his head.
"Hey where's barb i thought she'd be here too."
"Shes back at the castle cleaning up a bit." Applejack says.
"Oh, well while I do enjoy talking maybe we should head over there."
"Thats a great idea jason. Follow me and we'll head over there now." With that twilight starts to walk off the platform.
"After you ladies." Jason says while grabbing the bags and throwing his pack over his shoulder. "My what a gentlestallion."
With that jason follows the group away from the station and into the town. Looking around jason takes note of the buildings and where every thing is also noticing he hasn't seen any other humans here and mostly mares. 'Well that could be a problem' thought jason. While they walk, the ponies out and about would smile and wave at the group some would stare at jason with a neutral look mainly when they notice his pack. Jason just Shrugs it off as them being wary to seeing a human with a military pack. As they get closer to the castle jason takes it all in from the way its set up to the way the light glistens of the crystal walls.
"This is pretty nice twi."
"Thank you jason but to be honest I feel its a bit over the top for the most part."
"Yea I can understand that."
Walking up the steps jason spots two guards a pegasus mare and a unicorn stallion. When they notice him they seem to tense up a bit but with a small wave of his hands they relax a bit and open the doors for the group. Walking in side twilight calls out into the castle.
"Barb I'm back and I've got a surprise for you."
Walking through a door the young dragoness calls back.
"Hey twilight i didn't think youd be back till later whats the surprise?" After she says that the group splits up to reveal Jason who's sporting a smile looking at the dragoness.
"JASON!" Brab shouts as she runs to the man. Dropping the bags he catches barb in an embrace picking her up and spinning a bit.
"Hey barb how's it going its been a while."
"Omc! Jason I heard what happened I didn't think I'd see you again." Barb says with her face in his neck.
"Hey you really think something like that could keep me down?" Barb softly laughs at that.
"No but it sounded bad I'm so glad you are OK and back where you belong."
"Its good to be back." Breaking the embrace jason gets a good look at her noticing how much she changed she's just short of his chin but she's filled out quite well.
"Damn look at you all grown up."
"Eyes are up here jason." Barb says with a giggle.
"Oi I'm just saying you grew up well nothing bad about that."
"You were always one with a way with words noone ever knew if they should take you seriously or not."
"It was a good way to mess with people."
Barb hugs jason again.
"Its good to have you back."
"I know its good to see you all again." Jason glances back at the group and sees them all looking at the two with smiles on their faces.
"Ok well its been a long day how about we get some food and show me the castle." Jason states breaking the hug. " that sounds like a great idea alright girls let's show jason around and let him sort out his things in the room he's gonna be staying in then get something to eat." With agreements from everyone else they start to walk through the castle.
It was 730 in the afternoon when Jason made it to his room, he had finally got his stuff put away and was about to lay down to watch a movie when there was a knock on his door. Sighing Jason stands from the bed walking to the door. Opening the door Jason finds barb standing there she was wearing a black t-shirt and short jean shorts.
"Hey barb what's going on?"
"Oh nothing much just came to say we have to be at sugarcube corner at 900."
"Oh um did they say why?"
" No they didn't."
"Ok then."
"What are you doing?" she asks looking past him.
" Nothing was about to watch a movie, wanna join?"
"Yea I would love too."
"Cool come on in." The two walked into the room and went to Jason's bed to lay down and watch a movie on his laptop. grabbing his laptop and laying back on the bed Barb cuddles up to Jason and lays her head on his shoulder while he brings up his Vudu app and scrolls through the movies.
"So what shall it be comedy, action, horror, or romance?" Jason asks Glancing down to the dragoness.
"Lets go with a comedy."
"Good choice." scrolling through the comedy movies he comes to one he hadn't seen in a while clicking on it starting the movie.
"so what are we watching?" Barb asks getting more comfortable against Jason.
" Adam Sandler's Eight crazy nights."
"hmm I don't think that ones gotten over here yet sounds good."
"oh trust me its good this was a favorite of mine when I was a kid."
After the movie was finished Jason looked at the time, realizing that it was almost time to go he nudged barb to wake her up.
"MMm 5 more mins." Barb mumbles while rolling over.
"Sorry cant let you do that, we got to get up and get ready to go." Jason just watches as barb refuses to get up, remembering one of her spots that always got him a reaction, Jason brings his hand to her tail grasping it and giving it a tug. what he wasn't expecting was the different reaction she gave compared to what he used to get.
"ah mm" Before she could stop her self barb moaned out, when she realized what happened her face lit up a very dark shade of red.
"Well uh we should get going so we aren't late." Jason states with a noticeable blush.
"Y... yea lets do that." With that said barb leaves the room to go get ready while Jason puts his laptop away he throws on a clean pair of jeans and a black t shirt and a grey zip up hoodie. After slipping his shoes on he heads to the main door to leave, as he enters the main room he finds barb standing at the door waiting for him.
"Hey ready to go?"
"Y yea im ready." The two then walk out of the castle the moon lighting their path and the coll crisp air of the night assaulting their bodies.
"Its starting to get cold out, falls about to start." Barb says as she leads jason down the steps and into the road.
"Yup from what I've heard it should be a fairly cold winter this year."
"Yea Rainbow was talking about how they are scheduled for an early blizzard this year, she wasn't to happy about having to work late to make sure everything went smoothly."
"I wouldn't be to happy about that either, but we all got a part to play and one person not doing their own can cause problems." Says jason as he looks around the small town.
"Tell me about it there was this one time that aj was over working her self to the point of exhaustion, and she had to help ponies around town but couldn't due to being so tired that everything just went wrong and Twilight had to intervene to get her to sleep and let us help her."
"That sounds like one hell of a day, how bad was it?" Jason ask looking at barb with interest.
"Ponies got sent to the hospital for food poisoning, there was a stampede of bunnies, rainbow got flung across town, and she over harvested some of her trees picking off leaves mistaking them for apples." Barb says counting off on her hand.
"Damn that bad?"
"Yup... oh here we are, sugarcube corner." Jason looks from barb to the building they were currently in front of. The building looked like it was straight out of that one story about the kids and the witch, covered in different candy decorations and looked like it was made out of gingerbread.
"Uhh..."
"Trust me its all fake decorations."
"Do I want to know?"
"Um a few days after we got here I may or may not have taken a chunk out of the fake gumdrop." Barb says with a slight blush
"Thats hilarious." Jason says with a chuckle
"Hey! It wasn't that funny!" Barb says her blush growing more.
"I'll ask the rest of the girls if it wasn't that funny."
"Don't. You. Dare."
Jason just shakes his head and walks up to the door.
"Hey! We aren't done here."
"Yes we are." Jason says as he reaches for the door and pulls it open walking into the dark before the lights suddenly click on with multiple ponies yelling surprise making jasons hand reach for his five-seven until he feels a hand on his, and looks to the side spotting Twilight giving him a small smile.
"Its ok Jason no one is gonna hurt you here, just relax." With a nod Jason lets go of the weapon and relaxes.
"SO WERE YOU SURPRISED?!?" Asks a very happy pinkie pie.
"Yes pinkie I was very surprised." Jason says with a smile hiding the fact he almost shot someone.
"YES! Come on you got to meet everyone." Pinkie says leading him into the crowd.
"LETS PARTY!!" Pinkie exclaims while jason just chuckles at the pink party pony.
While the party goes into the night Jason meets with multiple different ponies from Aj's brother big Mac, Octavia and her friend Vinyl Scratch and a very enthusiastic pony named Lyra heart strings and her calmer counterpart bon bon. Jason couldn't put his finger on it but that bon bon and a certain air about her that felt familiar, but he wasn't sure about it and left it alone.
As the party goes along Jason was talking to one of the rose sisters until everything stopped and everyone started to bow. Not knowing what was going on Jason turns to the door spotting some one he wasn't expecting to see so soon. Cadence his and Twilights old babysitter.
Before she could look his way Jason ducks into the kitchen, he wasn't gonna lie he had a huge crush on her when she was a teen and she only got more beautiful as she got older. 'That alicorn aging really works'. Thought jason as he tries to regain his composure, after he calms down he starts to head back out when he hears cadence talking.
"Where is he? I would like to make sure for my self he is alright."
"Um well he was just here." Says twilight.
'Taley ho'
"Wheres who?" Asks jason as he exits the kitchen.
"JASON!" Yells Cadence as she wraps him in a bone crushing hug. Jason starts to tap cadences shoulder as he fights for breath.
"Oh! Sorry about that Jason." Cadence says letting him go and taking a step back.
"Its alright... damn that strength of yours thought I was gonna die from lack of oxygen for a sec there." He says with a small chuckle.
"Jason are you ok they didn't do to much to you did they?"
"Just some bruises and a few fractures nothing I cant handle."
"Jason I saw the state you were in that was not nothing you were on the brink of death and you still have bruising on your ribs." Says Twilight.
"WHAT... Celestia said it was bad but not that bad, let me see your chest!" Cadence demands getting closer to Jason.
"Really its not that bad you don't have to worry I've been through worse." Jason says trying to get Cadence to calm down, it wasn't working.
"Let.. me.. see.. it." With a sigh of defeat jason lifts his shirt up and over his head revealing his chest to the room, gaining gasps of shock from multiple mares that were standing near by watching the interaction.
"Jason these are really bad how and why are you walking around right now?" Cadence says placing a gentle hand on his chest.
"Time stops for no man got to just keep moving forward, and I hate just laying around all day." He says placing his shirt back on.
"That may be but you got to rest some times or you'll only just end up killing your self from over excursion or some fight you wind up in, and don't say you don't start fights don't forget i foalsat you and twilight."
"Hey he had it coming."
"Even if he did your lucky your basically a prince your self or you'd have been in a lot more trouble."
"He shouldn't have been acting like a prick and belittling that girl."
"Are you all talking about when Jason throat punched Blueblood." The sudden new voice makes everyone turn around to find Shinning armor standing behind them.
"I still refuse to call him that... i much prefer blueballs." That earned him a swat to the arm from cadence.
"Yes shinning we are talking about that incident."
"He did deserve it." Shinning then turns towards Jason.
"Jason..."
"Armor..."
"Brat...."
"Mammas boy..."
"Selfish punk..."
"Twat..."
"Asshole..."
The two look at each other for a few mins the tension growing more and more, before they both smirk and close the distance going into a bro hug.
"Heard you got your ass kicked by some guards."
"They jumped me if I had known they were there they'd be 6 feet or in a coma."
"I'm sure they would." Shinning says as they break the embrace.
" I heard you got taken out by a bunch of bugs."
"She tricked me."
"Eh potato potatoe."
"I see your still as annoying as ever."
"I try and you still got that stick up your ass."
"Gotta put it some where never know when i might need a stick."
"Ok you two enough, let's just go back and enjoy the party." Says cadence stepping between the two.
" alright fine... we'll finish this when I'm less broken."
"Id like to see you try." With that the group joined back up with the party, enjoying them selves with dancing and drinking.
Later that night when the party was over and cadence and shinning armor said their goodbyes and left twilight and Jason were heading back to the castle with a passed out dragoness draped over jasons back.
"Are you sure you don't want any help I don't want you hurting you self anymore than you already are." Asks Twilight
"I'm fine Twi I can handle lifting a little bit of weight." Jason says as he readjusts barb.
"Alright if your sure jason."
The two continue to walk just enjoying each other presence until Twilight breaks the silence again.
"What do you thinks gonna happen, you know between our two countries?"
"I'm not sure Twi i just hope what ever dose happen its for the better."
"Me too jason." Twilight says as she wraps her arm around jasons.
After getting back to the castle and putting barb to bed jason is laying in his bed looking up at the ceiling mulling over his thoughts. 'What will happen between our two countries? If we go back to war or will we go to peace, either way can I go back to being part of the military there and serve them or do i stay here and take back my place in the royal family, and serve Equestria."
With that final thought jason let's his mind slip into a dreamless sleep.
The next morning came and went with breakfast consisting of pancakes and bacon for Jason, hay bacon for twilight, and gems for barb. With nothing left to do Jason went and got cleaned up taking a shower and shaving before dressing in cargo jeans boots and a black short sleeve shirt with a white American flag outline on the back. Deciding to go on a walk Jason made his way out of the castle and into the small town to do some exploring.
As he made his way further in, he noticed there weren't many humans around, there were a few, but a vast majority of them being female with maybe only 2 or 4 males and 6 females in total. The rest of the populace being made up of ponies two griffons who seemed to be sisters from what he could tell.
As he walked, he got the feeling that he was being watched but couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary. He continued to walk until he got to a little shop, walking in he noticed it was a small butcher's shop and the two griffon sisters standing at the counter in matching black and red aprons. The short one was white with blue frosted tips going around her head and edges of her wings, her eyes where a deep shade of electric blue, while the taller one was brown with white instead of blue, around her head and edges of her wings, her eyes were a purple color. Walking up to the counter he smiled and greeted the two griffons.
“Morning ladies.”
“Good morning sir. “ Said the one on the left.
“How may we help you today? “ Asked the other on the right.
“Well I was just out exploring to get a lay of the town when I stopped in here to see what was being sold.” Jason lied.
“Oh well as you can see this is our fathers butcher shop though its more used for deliveries of meat for the humans here and any meat eater that may pass through town.” states the taller one.
“If you need any places to check out, I would recommend Sugar Cube Corner, they have fresh baked sweats and a few different beverage choices.” said the shorter one.
“Thank you miss...”
“Oh, my name’s Rain Drop, and my older sister over there is thunderbolt.” She says pointing to her sister.
“How's it going big guy?” Thunderbolt says with a half-lidded gaze.
“Thunder stop it you remember what dad said no flirting with the customers.” Rain Drop says smacking her sister in the arm. "Oh its alright back in the states the girls tend to do the same when they find out I'm part of the armed forces."
"Your part of the human army." Rain Drop says nervously while glancing to her sister.
"Oh don't worry at this point in time I'm more of an ambassador and report to celestia and luna if anything does come up that requires my attention. "
Giving a visable sigh of relief rain Drop relaxes and regains her smile.
"Oh well thats a relief... sorry I didn't mean it like that, it's just we've heard stories while growing up that the human army is ruthless an will attack an enemy on sight." States Rain Drop "Yea and with what's been going on politically not to even mention the tensions on the border you can never be to cautious."
"I completely understand but there's no need to be worried about me I may be military but I actually spent a bit of my childhood here in equestria specifically in canterlot and the castle, but you didn't hear that from me." Jason said with a smile and a wink.
"Hold up you grew up in the castle that means you personally know the princess's.. and that no good prince blueballs." Thonderbilt said adding venom to that last part.
"Know him yes I'm the one that came up with that little nickname of his." Jason says with a chuckle.
"No fucking way that's awsome does that mean you also know where he got that scar going from his lip to the middle of his muzzle." Rain Drop asked starting tonget excited about all the possible stories Jason had.
"Yea I... I do know where that came from but I wanna know where you think he got it from?"
"Well he's told ponies that he got it while fighting a human mercenary in his late teens, but I think he pushed someone to far and got an attitude check." Thunderbilt stated
"Figured he would come up with some crazy story about it.... any way no thats not what happened i did that to him ... when I was 10 and he was only about 12 or 13 at the time."
"NO FUCKING WAY!" Thunderbolt shouted out before calming back down again.
"Continue."
"Any way I was 10 and he was 12 maybe 13... ~12 years ago canterlot castle~
(SMACK!)
"This is what happenes when you don't pay attention and run into the prince you filthy maid!" Yelled prince blueblood.
"I'm so sorry prince blueblood it won't happen again sir I swear!"
"Your right it won't because I'm about to make sure you learn your lesson!" Stated blue blood as he brought back his hand to hurt the maid again.
"HEY! Blueballs!" Shouted Jason making the prince stop his attack.
"What did you just call me you hairless ape!"
"I said blue balls your name or did all that spoilling finally hit your brain making you forget." Taunted Jason as he stepped in between the maid and prince.
"How dare you insult me I'll have your head for this!"
"Oh yea you want it come and take it you sorry excuse for a prince!" Shouted Jason as he clenched his fist getting ready to fight.
After that Blueblood went for Jason swinging at his face. Ducking Jason sent his fist into his stomach making him lean over in pain before stepping back.
"Whats wrong blueballs gonna let this little ape beat you?" Jason said with a smirk.
"Ahhhhhh" Shouted Blue blood running at Jason.
Jason was expecting this as he let blue bloods momentum be his down fall by way of tripping the enraged prince. As Blueblood went to get up he found a foot on a straight shot for his face unable to be dodged.
With one kick Jason sent the prince rolling away grabbing his now bleeding face before jumping on him and grabing his horn delivering two more punches effectively dazing the prince.
Standing up and glaring down at him Jason pointed at Blueblood before saying "Next time I won't go so easy on you now get out of here!"
Causing the prince to run away still holding his face. Looking at the maid still on the ground holding her face Jason went over to check on her.
"Are you ok ma'am?" Holding out his hand to help up the maid.
"Oh yes I'm fine." Taking jasons hand and standing up.
"Thank you prince Jason for stepping in back there but what are the princess's going to say once they hear about this?"
"No need to call me a prince I'm only Jason and ill tell then exactly what happened no worries."
"Of course sir have a wonderfull rest of your day." With that the mind walked away to go back to cleaning.
~present time ponyville~
" and that's when celestia and luna showed up."
" what the hell, no way you actually did that!" Thonderbolt asked I'm shock.
"Your a prince?" Rain Drop asked about to bow.
"I did in fact do that and no im not I might be but no I've been gone for to long and at the time I didn't even know the princess's were going to adopt me into the family I just thought they called me prince cause of how close I was to them and that I lived in the castle at the time."
"Well I think from their point of view they may still consider you family and once some of the older maids and guards realize who you are they might start it up again." Rain Drop said. "Probably, anyway I do need to get going bye girls I'll see you around."
"Bye jason." They both said in unison. Making his way out of the shop and down the street the feeling of being followed came back with the overwhelming feeling of danger. Deciding he should get back to the castle as fast as he could jason took a short cut through an ally way. Unknowing to jason a certain pink princess had come back to town and seen jason run into an ally, then a cloaked figure.
Fearing for jasons saftey she followed but at a distance to not alert the figure.
'Are you fucking kidding a dead end just great.' Jason thought as his short cut kicked him in the ass with a dead end. As he was looking for another way out a voice spoke up making jason turn around.
"You Mr Michaels are a hard person to get alone do you know that?"
"Yea I get that alot if you wanna find out how to do that ask the guards on the border" Jason shot back looking into the dark hood of the person.
"Oh I heard all about that but that's not why I'm here, you see you've made a client of mine very unhappy with being around and he asked me too dispose of you."
"So your here to kill me, well get in line buddy I've got a lot of enemy's and let's just say some never left the wheel chair if they made it to one." Jason says as he reached to grab his pistol for it only to not be there. 'Damn it!' He thought
Giving a dark chuckle the figure opened up his cloak revealing a belt with various different throwing knives and daggers.
Grabbing a throwing knife the figure threw it at jasons chest reacting on instinct Jason catches the dagger before it struck its mark cutting his hand a bit, but not by much.
"Your fast Mr Michaels but your not fast enough!" With that the assassin ran at jason before he could react and punched him in the face dazing him a bit, Jason got his senses back as he saw a foot coming for his face stepping back enough for it to just miss his nose.
Deciding to not stay on the defensive Jason countered with a kick of his own landing that right on the leg still on the ground putting the assassin off balance as Jason went to throw a jab at him busting his nose sending blood to the ground and pushing him away from jason.
"Huh you actually landed a hit ill commend you for that but I won't under estimate you again." With that two knives were sent flying at jason making him duck but being sent right into the path of a kick that was coming right for jasons face sending jason right to the ground giving the assassin enough time to stand over jason with a dagger to give the final blow.
"Don't worry Mr Michaels your death won't be for nothing do you have any last words?" As jason looked around he noticed a certain pink alicorn coming around the corner.
"Yea two things actually who sent you after me?"
"Well your gonna die any way so I see no reason to not tell you, my clients name is blue blood what was your second thing."
"You ever heard of loves wrath?"
"What?"
"JASON!" The assassin was shocked turning his head around before feeling a knife enter his throat, looking down to see the handle of his knife sticking out before looking at jason with his hand still in the air. Stepping to the side the assassin fell to the ground holding his neck as the life drained form his eyes.
"Let that be a lesson never wait to give the killing blow it always comes back to bite you." The assassin heard jason say before darkness took hold of him. Standing back up Jason was then almost sent back to the ground as Cadence tackled him in a hug before looking over him.
"ARE YOU OK?!" Asked cadence as she looked him over to find his face was bruised and bloody and his had was bleeding from when he caught the knife.
"I'm fine cadence it's nothing." Jason says as he grabs her hands to put at her side.
"Who would do this."
"An assassin." Jason says looking at the body on the ground
"Do you know who hired him?"
"I do it was blueballs him self."
With that on sentence the air grew heavy and a heat flowed over jason Making him look back at cadence.
"He. Did. WHAT!" Cadence yelled in the royal voice making the ground shake before a bright flash of white took hold of jasons vision.
When his vision came back they were in the throne room interrupting day court causeing all in attendance to look at them.
"Cadence what's wro... what happened to jason?" Celestia asked as she made her way to jason looking over his wounds.
"An assassin attacked him." Cadence said shocking celestia.
"What.. an assassin attacked him but why who would send one after him?"
"It was Blue..." Cadence was cut off as the throne room doors opened and a certain snobs prince walked in.
"Aunt celestia I must talk to you about the state of my inheritance..." blueblood starts to say until his eyes landed on jason and the two princess's one of which is giving him a look that meant death.
"Auntie cousin what seems to be going on here..." Blueblood says trying to regain his composure.
"Blu..." Before celestia could say anything cadence was already walking at blueblood with an intent to kill.
"Why you no good lousey cocksucking Braty little mama should have swallowed that night bitch!!" She yelled getting closer and closer with every word shocking all who where in the throne room causing some to faint and the temperature of the room to skyrocket. "C cousin what ever are you talking ab..." Before he could finish cadence smacked blueblood using magic to put more force behind it and sending him to the floor.
"You have alot of nerve to be walking in here after putting the hit out on Jason I should have you executed right here right now for what you've done!" She said venom dripping off every word causing the prince to try and crawl away from the enraged mare.
" I don't know what you mean cousin but I can assure you I've done nothing of the sort."
"Give it up blueballs the assassin said you were the one who put out the hit and I'm sure if we search his belongings well find the payment and the instructions that you gave him." Jason stated as celestia healed his wounds.
Giving a growl blueblood got off the ground staring down jason.
"Why you filthy ape why can't you just die I knew the guards weren't going to do it when I put them on you while you were in the dungeon so I figured you'd be executed but no my auntie just had to recognize you then I thought I had you with the assassin. Well whatever I guess if you gotta get something done you gotta do it your self." With that blueblood blasted cadence and celestia away and rushed jason summoning a sword before anyone could do anything and sent the sword into jasons shoulder pinning him to the ground.
"I should have done this along time ago ape any last words." Blueblood asked as he summoned another sword.
"Yea duck."
"What?" Just then a pink fist slammed into blueblood sending him to the ground again what followed could only be described as a very much one sided beat down ending with blue blood bloody and unconscious, once Jason had gotten the sword out of his shoulder he ran to cadence and pulled her off of blueblood.
"CADENCE CADENCE ITS OK ITS OVER HE'S DIWN STOP BEFORE YOU KILL HIM!" Jason stated removing the angry princess and falling over in the process with her landing on him crying.
"Gurads take him away to the dungeons and get me medical here now." Celestia says making guards run out to grab medical and take away an unconscious blueblood.
"I don't know what came over me I saw him do that to you and I couldn't stop my self." Cadence cried out burying her face in his shoulder.
"Its ok cadence it's over." Jason said as the blood lose started to get to him as the adrenaline wore off allowing darkness to take over."
The first thing Jason noticed when he woke up was pain, the next was the fact that there was a weight on his stomach. Looking down Jason saw Cadence with her head laying on his stomach peacefully sleeping. Lifting his hand he rubs at her head and ear being careful not to wake her up, as he stops she lets out a yawn and opens her eyes. When she fully woke up she looked at Jason a few seconds went by as she processed him being awake again, once it hit her she lunges at him wrapping her arms around him. "Oh my Celestia! Your finally awake, you've been unconscious for almost two days!" " Cadence it's ok I'm up can you let go of me now." Jason asks as he is smothered by her cleavage. "NO! IM NOT LETTING GO YOUR STAYING WHERE I CAN SEE YOU FROM NOW ON!" Cadence says almost screaming while hugging him tighter. "Cadence sweety I think he will be ok if you let him go." Came a voice from the door. Looking over showed it to be Celestia with an amused smile on her face with shinning armor next to her looking more jealous then normal. "No I'm not letting go he's never leaving my side again!" She states only hugging harder.
"Help... Me" Jason pleads losing more air. Celestia only chuckles at her nieces antics before teleporting her off of Jason.
After she was removed Jason took in some much need air. "Oh thank God... I thought I was actually going to die." Jason says still gulping in air as if it was the last time he would ever do so. "It is good to see you finally awake... Again." Celestia says while sitting down next to Jason.
"Yea can we not do that again I think I've seen this place enough times to have it burned into my memory." "Yes I don't doubt your tired of being in here, I am also tired of seeing you in here." She says with that motherly smile. Looking closer Jason could tell she had been crying, her make up has been smeared if only slightly and her eyes are a bit puffy.
"I'm okay Celestia something like that can't put me down permanently." Jason states with a cocky smile only causing Celestia to laugh a little.
"Oh I'm sure you can give more than you take if what your younger years was anything to go by." "Yeaaa let's not bring that up, I wasn't the most well behaved child around." Jason says while rubbing the back of his head. "Yea but you were better than Blueblood." Shinning armor states while the mares only nod in agreement. "Any way why don't we get out of here I'm sure Twilight is freaking out right now." "Oh she is you are going to get it not just from her but barb as well, oh and I'm teleporting you back to Twilight's home. Good luck." Celestia says with an evil grin before her horn lit up.
"NO NO WA..." Was all Jason could get out before landing in a bed. "It... I'm going to prank her later..." Jason says only giving a flat look in the direction of canterlot. *Ahem* Hearing this Jason froze and slowly looked toward the sound only to find a very irate Twilight, and barb the latter blowing small puffs of smoke from her nose "Heyyy girls what's going on, how have you been today? Twi did you get your mane done, barb your scales look extra shinny today." "Save it mister we don't want any of your sweet talking how could you go and get your self hurt again like that!" Twilight says looking directly into Jason's soul. "Whoa whoa whoa hold on now I was attacked by an assassin hired by blueballs thank you very much it's not like I went looking to get hurt again! By the wa..." Jason was promptly shut up by the feeling of soft lips on his own. When he came out of his shock he found Twilight kissing him before she pulled away, but before he could say anything he was caught by the lips again by barb only shocking him more. Once she pulled away Jason had the dumbest little smile on his face causing the two girls to only giggle at him before they pushed him down to the bed.
"We are just glad you are ok." Barb says putting her head on his left shoulder. "Barb's right now lets just put this behind us and get some rest for tomorrow." Twilight says copying barb only on his right. "Yea.. yea you girls are right let's do that." Jason says closing his eyes. A few mins later Jasons' eyes shot open with his mind going hay wire 'WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!' Jason thought.
Hello everybody miss me I did to lol nah I'm just playing anyway yes I've been Mia for a fat min lately it's been really hectic and I've just been tired as all hell from work and being a general contractor for my parents house they are building I've not got a lot of free time but I'm gonna start getting back into it I've made some edits to one of my stories the next adventure just some stuff that me personally either fucked up cause I didn't catch it or didn't make sense I haven't done everything cause that is a lot and I think the bit of confusion kind adds to the story idk you tell me but enough of the rambling I'm back gonna start making more chapters and edits here and there little at a time ya know anyway you beautiful sobs stay safe and have a great rest of your night/day duces
