Sunset Shimmer took a deep, steadying breath as she trotted up to the magic mirror. “Alright Sunset, it's only been a week. She can't have gotten too needy, right?” Sunset whispered to herself.

“Who are you talking to?” Asked Twilight Sparkle who stood mere feet away with a confused look on her face.

“I’m just worried about Adagio is all.” Sunset Shimmer muttered, a small blush brightening her cheeks.

“It has only been a week like you said. I know the banishment spell keeps her from coming back to Equestria with you but she’s an adult.” Twilight tapped her chin. “Well more like a senior citizen given the fact that she's over a thousand years old.”

“Look, you don't know Adagio like I do. She likes to think she doesn't need anybody but lets just say there is a reason she always has patience for Sonata’s antics.” Sunset explained.

Twilight Sparkle shrugged. “If you say so. See you in a few months!”

Sunset nodded. “I’ll see you soon Twilight. Don't forget to write.”

“I won't.” Twilight replied with a smile.

With that, Sunset strode through the mirror, going from Twilight’s personal laboratory to her own living room. The shift was surprisingly easy, and the pony easily transitioned from four legs to two, clothes appearing on her body as she rose up. Coming out the otherside, Sunset Shimmer’s smile died the moment she laid eyes on an irritated looking Adagio standing right in front of her.

“Uh hi?” Sunset greated.

The siren was currently wearing a bathrobe, the only other thing she wore was a deep frown. “Welcome back. And may I begin by thanking you once more for allowing me to stay here, and help get me my magic back.” Adagio declared, her anger hidden behind a thin veneer of professionalism.

“Err no problem. Sorry if the place isn't exactly the nicest, or the biggest.” Sunset Shimmer hastily replied.

“Yes well. Sonata and I have gotten at least some of our powers back, which means we aren't about to crumble to dust anytime soon.” Adagio began only to clear her throat and place her hands on her hips. “But that is not why I’m talking to you right now.”

“Then why are we talking right now? If it's not to welcome me home or talk about potentially accommodating Sonata.” Sunset pressed.

“We are talking right now because of this.” Adagio exclaimed before pulling a thin white plastic stick from the pocket of her bathrobe.

“Uh, I’m not sure what I’m looking at here. So you got a plastic stick with a pink plus on it.” Sunset muttered while scratching her head.

Adagio sighed and rolled her eyes. “It's a pregnancy test.”

“It's a… so that means…” Sunset gulped. “I don't suppose that means your not pregnant and your just excited to show me?”

Adagio’s frown deepened the longer her former nemesis all but cowered before her. “No, that is not why I’m showing it to you.” Adagio stated.

“Um, yay?” Sunset offered weakly.

The siren sighed. “I know it was foolish of us to assume that a half human half pony hybrid couldn't knock up a siren but there's no going back now. Furthermore, you are going to take care of Sonata and I from now on, and to do so you are going to build a second and possibly a third story on this shack you call a home. Got it?”

Sunset nodded submissively.

“Good. Now you are coming to bed right now. I haven't had any fun all week.” Adagio declared before grabbing the other girl’s hand and all but dragging her towards their bedroom.

“Wait, all week? I thought you said you had some of your powers back? Couldn't you just seduce some random dude?” Sunset asked as she was pulled bodily into her bedroom.

Adagio huffed. “I’m carrying your child. It's your responsibility to take care of my needs.”

“And it's definitely not because you happen to like me.” Sunset needled, the mare slipping her hand from Adagio’s grasp and wrapping her arms about the siren’s waist.

The other girl blushed. “N-no I was just… too lazy. Yes that's it. I couldn't be bothered to leave the house is all.”

Sunset smirked and kissed the siren’s nose. “Your a terrible liar.”

“Keep it up and you’ll be spending the night on the couch.” Adagio shot back.

“Ha, like a cuddle bug like you would do something like that.” Sunset remarked.

Adagio huffed once more, a large blush crossing her features. “I guess we’ll see about where your sleeping after I’ve had my way with you.”

“I guess we’ll see.” Sunset replied, her smirk growing even larger.

The couch would remain untouched and cold for days after.

“Mmm this is nice.” Adagio murmured, the siren laying on her back in their four poster bed, her usual lounging bathrobe draped over her body.

Sunset smiled, and rubbed the pregnant siren’s belly as she grabbed another peice of chocolate and hovered it over the other girl’s lips. “Another chocolate, my dear?” Sunset asked.

Adagio smiled and opened her mouth, prompting the former pony to drop the ball of milk chocolatey goodness on her lover’s tongue. “Mmm thish ish shoo good.” Adagio muttered.

“So… I don't suppose you’ve thought of any good names by chance have you? I admit that knowing the sex isn't exactly the biggest help.” Sunset remarked.

The siren chewed and swallowed, a hand going to her bulging pregnant belly. “We still have at least another month or two, so we have time.”

Sunset frowned, and was about to reply when she heard footsteps coming from down the hall, followed by a gasp. Turning to the open door revealed a wide eyed Sonata who had her hands on her cheeks, and a grin on her lips.

“Oh my goodness your enormous!” Sonata teased.

“I am not!” Adagio shouted, turning to Sunset. “Tell her Sunset!”

“She is not enormous.” Sunset replied, the former pony holding back the urge to add, ‘she's just massive.’ to the end of her sentence.

Sonata giggled. “So what are you guys doing? I didn't walk in on anything naughty did I?”

Adagio sighed. “No you did not. We were just thinking about names for the baby.”

“Wait, you don't have one yet? You’ve known it's going to be a girl for weeks already.” Sonata replied, placing her hands on her hips.

“It's not exactly easy to come up with a name for a girl who is part siren, part human and part pony.” Adagio growled, the woman grabbing a handful of chocolates and stuffing them in her mouth and chewing angrily.

“Err yeah. Plus in Equestria the winds of harmony usually help us choose a name after they are born so this is new territory for me I’m afraid.” Sunset added with a frown.

“Hmmm.” Sonata pulled out her phone. “What about Meaghan, Adalee, Keily, Ensley, Diana, Amelia, Sofia, Scarlett, Sweet Melody, Elizabeth, Black Snooty-”

“Wait, stop.” Adagio held up a hand. “Go back what were those last ones?”

“Black Snooty? Why would you name your kid that? That was just a joke me and Pinkie Pie played on vice principal Luna.” Sonata asked.

Adagio groaned. “No before that.”

“Elizabeth?”

“Further.”

“Sweet Melody?”

“Yes, that one!” Adagio declared, the pregnant woman turning to Sunset. “What do you think dear?”

“What about just Melody?” Sunset replied.

Adagio nodded slowly. “Yes, that sounds like a human, equestrian and siren name. It's perfect! Sonata your a genius!”

“I am?” The younger siren smirked.

“Yes you most certainly are.” Adagio declared.

“So if your just sitting around eating chocolates does that mean I can take your girlfriend out for a test drive then? Cus there was not a single hot person at the bar today and I got needs ya know.” Sonata asked, while eying Sunset Shimmer lecherously.

“I am not- she- augh!” Adagio growled, and whipped a pillow at her younger sibling. “We were having a moment and you ruined it!”

“Yeah plus I’m pretty sure Adagio would break my legs if we fooled around.” Sunset remarked with a shrug.

“Out! Out this instant!” Adagio shouted, the siren already whipping another pillow at her fleeing sibling.

Who giggled as she sprinted away, leaving Adagio fuming as she sat upright in bed.

“I’ll uh go lock the door.” Sunset offered as she slipped off the bed.

“You had better, and get me more chocolate!” Adagio demanded.

Sunset sighed. “Yes dear.”

Sunset and Adagio stood nervously next to a play pen, the two former villains looking down on their offspring. Who looked human for the most part, her skin a soft pink, and a smattering of black hair sitting atop her head. Sure her eyes were a little big, but it wasn't that noticeable, and other than being unusually quiet and well behaved there wasn't anything too abnormal about her.

“Do you think it was a little early to get her a playpen? She’s only five months old.” Sunset asked, nudging her partner.

“She was already crawling at four months, which is early for human babies.” Adagio replied.

“Yeah but she isn't human.” Sunset replied.

Adagio shrugged. “She seems to be enjoying herself.”

Melody gripped two blocks tightly and smacked them together, laughing all the while.

“I mean I guess…” Sunset frowned. “This is all just so… new to me.”

Adagio nodded, and wrapped an arm about the other girl’s waist. “Me too.”

“So how’s Aria doing? I heard she’s having her own kid with that human she picked up.” Sunset inquired.

Adagio frowned and leaned her head against Sunset’s shoulder. “She is, and she doesn't even want her magic back either. Meaning she only has about forty or so years before old age finally catches up to her.”

“Wow, I guess she really did go native as they say.” Sunset remarked. “How are you girls holding up?”

“It's not the best scenario, but we got quite a while to get over it.” Adagio murmured.

Babbling from the play pen made both parents look down to where their child had lined up all her blocks and was singing some wordless song while bouncing up and down. Both women shared a smile at Melody’s adorable behavior, though that smile didn't last long as something strange began to happen. The blocks lit up, glowing the same shade of green as the baby’s eyes before they began to bounce like she did.

“What is going on? Is this a siren thing?” Sunset asked nervously as the blocks began to dance, bouncing up and down in a strange rhythm that fit with the baby’s wordless song.

“No. A siren can only affect living things with her song.” Adagio explained, the mother leaning in close, her hands gripping tight the edge of the play pen.

“Well this certainly isn't a pony thing. She shouldn't even be able to cast anything and that's only if she was a unicorn.” Sunset added.

“Would princess Twilight know anything about this?” Adagio inquired.

Sunset shrugged. “It's worth a shot.”

Adagio smiled suddenly. “You know now that I think about it, this is a good sign.”

“Oh really? And what is so good about our baby getting magic out of the blue?” Sunset countered.

“She has magic in her blood Sunset, you are or were a unicorn, and I am a siren. It's a good thing that we know what she’s capable of before she starts school.” Adagio replied.

Sunset sighed. “Your right. Though I have the feeling that this is going to make changing time a little more interesting.”

“So long as she doesn't make her turds dance I think we’ll be okay.” Adagio stated with a smirk.

Sunset blushed and giggled, elbowing her partner in the side. “You are nasty.”

“I can already hear it now.” Adagio mused, the siren tapping out a strange tune on the edge of the playpen. “I am the great mighty poo, and I’m going to throw my-”

“That's quite enough of that. What if she hears you?” Sunset admonished.

The siren shrugged. “She's the child of two former villains. I fully expect her first word to be something dirty, and her teenage years to be filled with rebellion and rule breaking.”

Sunset frowned. “We are awesome parents though. What would she have to rebel against?”

“Kids have a way of finding something to resist.” Adagio replied flippantly.

“Well not our kid. She’s going to be an angel. Just you wait and see.” Sunset countered pointedly.

Adagio sipped her tea and leaned back in her chair while Sunset sat across from her nervously glancing down the hall to the front door. Time had done little to affect either woman, the magic which infused their bodies keeping the ravages of time at bay. The only thing that showed that years had passed was the much more lived in appearance of their home and stairs which went up to a newly constructed second floor.

Pictures covered one wall of the hallway, drawings were plastered all over the fridge, ranging from simple crayon to far more elaborate pencil drawings. The playpen was gone, and in its place stood a computer desk complete with a new laptop that had been purchased in order to assist Melody with her homework. The magic mirror had been moved into a freshly dug basement which served to house Sunset’s laboratory.

Adagio sighed. “Relax Sunset. She’s only a few minutes late.”

“I know, but she’s been late every day this week.” Sunset stressed. “What if she’s in trouble, or she found a new special someone. Or what if she-”

Sunset’s tirade ended the moment Adagio glared at the other woman. “Relax. Breath in, then out.” The siren commanded.

The former pony did as she was told, breathing deeply and steadying herself. “Sorry about that Dagi. I guess this whole thing has me worrying about my own youth ya know? All that bitterness, and well you know the rest.”

Adagio nodded slowly. “I understand, but remember. It's not like villainy is genetic or something, and besides, we have been very understanding parents.”

“We have but it still worries me.” Sunset sighed. “I just don't want her to end up like I did.”

“You ended up as a loving and compassionate person.” Adagio scolded, grabbing the other girl’s hands and squeezing them lightly. “One who makes every single day just a little bit brighter.”

“Oh Adagio…” Sunset murmured, a blush spreading across her face.

The sound of a door opening shattered the romantic moment, and both parents turned to the entrance of their home, where Melody now stood. The girl wore her highschool uniform proudly, her long black hair tied into a pair of pig tails and her green eyes shining with enthusiasm. The teenager smiled as she shucked off her shoes, and strode towards her two mothers, a book clasped tightly in her hands.

“Were you guys waiting for me again? I told you I’m fine.” Melody announced while rolling her eyes.

Sunset sighed. “Your mother and I were just enjoying some tea. Isn't that right dear?”

Adagio smirked. “Sunset was worried about you.”

The former pony shot her partner a glare, and hastily pulled back her hands.

“Hehe you guys are so silly. I told you I was just reading with a few friends after school.” Melody replied as she opened the door to her room and chucked her bag inside.

“See, I told you Sunset.” Adagio chided, the siren sipping her tea and smirking at the fiery haired girl across the table.

“So uh what are we doing on saturday?” Melody asked nervously as she strolled up to the table.

“I don't think we were doing anything.” Sunset replied, turning to Adagio.

Who shook her head. “Nothing was planned, why?”

“Well I was just wondering if we could go to this place downtown. I got this neat book and it's been really eye opening.” Melody muttered, nervousness slowly working its way into the young girl’s voice.

“Melody, what is this about?” Adagio asked, while raising an eyebrow.

“I’ve been really into this book and I…” She gulped before suddenly placing said tome on the table. “I want to convert to scientology!”

A thump made Melody and Adagio turn to Sunset, who had fainted face first on the table.

Adagio face palmed, groaning deeply. “Augh, I hate being right.”

Adagio stood in her bedroom, left hand gripping a picture that was only a year old at this point. In it, was Sunset Shimmer, Adagio, and Melody, all three wearing dresses that showed off their unique personality. Sunset Shimmer’s was slim, featuring more reddish hues, and was generally quite masculine, lacking any frills or lace.

Adagio’s was elaborate, the main colors being a simple mix of orange and white, matching Sunset’s quite well. While the former pony’s dress was masculine, Adagio’s was clearly feminine, though hers projected an aura of control. The entire thing made her look, and feel like a queen, a thought that made the siren smile faintly as her hand caressed the picture frame.

Melody’s was simple but no less elegant, as one may well have expected given that the fully grown woman served as her parent’s best man and only bridesmaid. All three of them wore wide smiles, and though most wouldn't notice it, Sunset was also crying the tiniest bit. Putting down the frame, Adagio sighed, silently lamenting the silent house she stood within.

The door behind her creaked open. “You alright babe?”

Adagio turned to her wife and nodded. “Just getting sentimental at all. The house is so quiet these days.”

Sunset smiled faintly, and walked up to her partner, taking one of the siren’s hands in her own. “It is rather quiet now that Sonata moved out.” She remarked.

Adagio nodded, her gaze lingering on a nearby picture, this one featuring a certain boisterous siren who stood next to her own partners, a tall human female, and a short human male. Both of the humans looked up at their shared partner with admiration, and joy, a sight that made Adagio smile. Though she hadn't been gone for very long, Sonata’s absence was felt keenly, especially considering Melody moved out only a month later.

She never was happy with just one partner, or just one gender for that matter. Adagio mused.

“Are you sure your okay?” Sunset pressed, the woman gripping both of her partner’s hands tightly.

The sensation of having her hand squeezed reminded the siren of the gold band which now rested upon the ring finger of her left hand. “I’m fine, but I’ve been thinking.” Adagio murmured.

“Oh? About what?” Sunset pressed.

“Well, I’m effectively immortal, and your sort of an alicorn now.” Adagio began hesitantly.

“Yes, and?” Sunset pressed.

“Well neither of us are going to get old, and with both Sonata and Melody gone the house is rather quiet these days.” Adagio continued, growing bolder with each passing second.

“I’m not sure what your getting at babe. Do you want to move or spend more time in Equestria or something?” Sunset pressed.

Adagio shook her head. “I am thankful that you broke the banishment spell, but that place has nothing for me now.”

“Then what's up?” Sunset asked, giving Adagio’s hands a light squeeze.

“I was thinking about having another kid, or two.” Adagio declared, the siren smiling. “I know you’ve been thinking about it as well.”

Sunset Shimmer blushed. “I have. But this is a big, big decision. We got lucky with Melody being such an amazing kid.”

“Or maybe we are just better parents then you give us credit for.” Adagio countered.

“That is a possibility…” Sunset murmured.

“Just… think about it. We have all the time in the world now.” Adagio remarked, the siren’s hands gripping the other girl’s waist.

“That is very true.” Sunset murmured, before leaning in and kissing the other woman’s lips.

Adagio kissed her back and smiled. “I love you.”

Sunset smirked. “I know.”

Adagio scowled and pinched her wife’s side. “You jerk.”

Sunset snickered and planted another kiss on Adagio’s lips. “I love you too.”
