Rely on The Equestrian Digital Force to send wild digimon back home.
There's a secret agency located in Equestria that not many creatures know about, The Equestrian Digital Force (or The EDF). Their job is to make sure that they can keep the peace of Equestrians and Digimon by getting Digimon who appear in The Equestial Plain back to their home in the Digital World, their job is also to keep digimon a secret from the public.
But one day, The cocky and tough teenager: Rainbow Dash came across a digimon that will change her life.
The blue dragon creature was panting heavily as he kept running. He was running along the grass and past a few rocks as he heard the creature behind him shout something.
"Double Impact!!!" The blue dragon looked behind him and saw the humanoid take out a double-barrel shotgun he calls the "Berenjena" and fired at the small dragon. The small dragon did a small forward somersault to avoid the shot, and the bullet hit the ground, spiking the grass up a bit which made the humanoid growl.
The dragon looked forward and saw something open ahead of him; it was a yellow circle with a green vortex inside. He looked behind him and saw The Humanoid creature aim his Berenjena again. The blue-dragon closed his eyes and ran even faster with a small smile and jumped through the yellow circle, which quickly closed when The Humanoid Digimon stopped his Behemoth with a loud screech; he growled again. "Yeah, you better keep running!!"
????? - 10:30 AM
A loud alarm was sounding, and flashing red, an earth pony with light blue fur and a pink mane, wearing a blue and white uniform with blue pants and white boots, looked at her monitor. "Commander...We have illegal Digimon activity near Canterlot Bay."
The Commander looked at her monitor and spoke to her; she wore a blue blazer with a blue buttoned-up shirt, black tie, blue suit pants, and clean black shoes. She wore purple aviators on her face. "Send Lightning Dust...we can't let it escape..."
A small half-beast half-humanoid creature walked up to The Commander. "This is the 3rd Digimon sighting this month, Spitfire...what do you think is going on?"
Spitfire looked at the creature with a sigh. "I don't know...but I have my best agent working on it."
Canterlot Bay - 10:33 AM
Lightning was driving a blue and white car with the lettering EDF written on the sides, the sirens blaring as she stopped the vehicle to the right side of Canterlot Bay. She opened the door and stepped out of the car. The agent wore an open dark green and white jacket, with a light green skirt and white boots. She also wore a white belt on her waist with a holster; on her face, she had dark blue aviator sunglasses and had a blue earpiece on her left ear. She walked over to the scene where police officers positioned with barriers alongside their police cars blocking civilians from entering along with police tape blocking off the entranceway to the bay.
Lightning slowly walked forward to the scene with a slight sway of her hips. An orange pegasus officer stopping her. "Sorry ma'am, no one's allowed in-"
The agent took out a badge and showed it to the officer. "I'm a special agent of The Equestrian Digital Force...what's the situation?"
"Oh, well...a civilian called it in, it's pretty bad over there...we have a bunch of knocked out civilians...and have called an ambulance."
Then both ponies heard a small beep and a small raspy female voice. "Dust."
Lightning opened her belt holster and took out a small rectangular device, and looked at it.
"Yes?" She asked.
"We have sightings of a Digimon in the area..."
"Is it the target?"
"Yes and worse, there's a pony right in front of it."
The agent gasped and ran past the officer, who watched her with a confused look. "I'm on my way!!"
Lightning Dust kept running and saw a bunch of ponies, griffins, and dragons were on the ground groaning in intense pain. The agent heard a beep on her earpiece, and she pressed the answer button; Commander Spitfire spoke. "Don't worry about those civilians, Dust. The officer already called an ambulance. Just hurry up and find that Digimon!"
"Got it, ma'am!"
The agent was about to run past, but a dragon gripped her pants leg and spoke weakly; blood dripped from his mouth. "H-Help me..." Dust moved her leg, and the dragon let go.
"Don't worry." The agent said. "An ambulance is on its way."
Dust continued running to where the Digimon signal was originating from. She stopped again by a staircase and gasped again. Seeing the blue dragon Digimon, in front of him was a rainbow maned pegasus. She wore an open dark blue hooded sports jacket with a small rainbow lightning bolt emblem on the top left, a white tank-top, gray jogging pants, and blue and white sneakers.
"Commander, I found the target!!" called Lightning. "And he's engaging another creature!"
"Aloe, Lotus, what are the data readings saying?"
"Hang on, Ma'am, I'm pulling it up right now..." Lotus said.
"It's Veemon: A rookie-level Digimon...his attacks are V-Headbutt, V-Punch & V-Shot."
The rainbow maned pegasus looked at the Digimon with a scowl. "I don't know who the hell you are...but you're standing in the middle of my turf. This is my training ground where I will become the ultimate fighter!!"
Dust arched an eyebrow. "Uh...is she really gonna fight a Digimon?"
"Heh, really? You're just like all the other ponies, all talk and no action!!" replied Veemon.
"And apparently, the Digimon can talk..." Her earpiece then beeped, she pressed the answer button.
"LIGHTNING!!!" The agent jumping a bit at the commander's sudden outburst. "What are you standing around for?! Get that civilian away from that Digimon!!"
"Yes, ma'am..." She then called out to the pegasus, pointing at her. "HEY!!! YOU!!!" The mare looked at her with an arched eyebrow as she spoke. "Get away from that thing; it's hazardous!!"
"Huh? Look, dude, I'm the one who's hazardous here!" snapped the rainbow-maned mare. Dust's eyes widened. "I don't need no babysitter to hold my hand; I can take care of myself!"
"This is between her and me!" added Veemon.
"He's right; this is a fight between us, so stay out of it!" yelled the pegasus.
"Fine then!" Lightning replied, basically feeling okay with this now. "If you have a death wish or something...then go ahead, see if I care!"
Her rectangular device beeped. "Dust! Don't let her talk to you like that!"
"No...I'm gonna stay out of this...she wants to get herself killed then be my guest."
"Thank you!" The mare looked at Veemon again and smirked, holding up her fists. "I don't know who or what you are...but you're going down just like I beat those guys!"
Veemon held up his fists too. "Oh really, what did you do, talk them all to sleep? Let's go bitch!"
"Ohoho, you are so gonna get it now!" Both of them then charged at each other. Dust gasped when she saw Veemon hit her in the face, but at the same time, she hit him in the face too.
"Veemon hit her, but she's still standing!" said Aloe.
The rainbow pegasus backed up along with Veemon; both of them coughed violently. "H-Hey...I wasn't ready...I was waiting for you to say '1,2,3, GO'..." Veemon said, his opponent looking back at him. "Ya know like this: 1, 2, 3 GO!!!!" He then charged at the mare again, Lightning and the other agents gasping again.
"No!!" yelled Lotus.
But to their surprise, when he got close enough, the pegasus swung her leg and knocked him in the side, Veemon grunting in pain as the pegasus smirked. "Heh, what's your excuse this time, bastard?"
"V-Headbutt!!"
"Huh?" questioned the mare before she was met face first with Veemon's hard head; the mare exclaimed in pain as she held her muzzle. "AHH, BITCH!!!"
"No more talking!!" yelled Veemon as the pegasus growled and moved her hand away from her face, blood dripping from her nose. "Fine then...lets do some real fighting!"
Both of them then started to duke it out, the pegasus and the Digimon going toe to toe with each other with punches, kicks, headbutts, and scratches (courtesy of mostly Veemon) as Dust continued to watch. "Oh my Celestia..."
"She's actually a match for the Digimon, ma'am!" exclaimed Aloe.
"Who is this filly?" the half-beast, half-human asked.
Commander Spitfire didn't answer and just continued watching.
As the sun was setting, The blue pegasus and Veemon were both on the dock, breathing heavily from their fight. Both of them were covered in bruises and cuts that were bleeding a bit.
"N-Not...bad...f-for...a pony." Veemon managed to say.
The pegasus gave a weak chuckle, her hand moving to her face and wiping her nose, looking at the drop of blood on her hand. "Heh...you're not...so bad yourself...been a while since...somepony made me bleed like this..."
Veemon then slowly lifted his arm into the air, the mare turning her head to him in confusion.
"How about we call it a draw?"
The pegasus then smiled and nodded. "Sure..."
She reached up and took his hand into her own, the blue dragon Digimon looking at her in the corner of his eye. "I'm Veemon."
"Rainbow...Rainbow Dash." said the pegasus.
Veemon slowly sat up with a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet ya, Rain."
Rainbow slowly sat up too. "Heh, you too..."
The Digimon then held up his index finger. "Oh, and also, since you're the first one who actually managed to go toe to toe with me...I'll be your humble servant."
"Huh, my servant?"
Veemon nodded and gave her a thumbs up and a wink. "Yep, from now on: I'll follow you wherever you go and if you want anything, just say the word, and I'll do it."
"Heh, really? Wow...I never thought I'd actually have a servant...let alone have one as funny-looking as you are." Both Rainbow and Veemon shared a laugh before it was cut short by a voice.
"FREEZE!!!!" They looked forward and saw Lightning Dust looking at them both with an angry expression. She then reached into her belt holster and took out her small rectangular device, aiming it at them like a small can of pepper spray, the black dot on the back that looks like a camera lens staring at them both. "Herissmon! Realize!"
The black dot on her device glowed and shot a beam of light; Rainbow Dash and Veemon both saw the beam of light quickly swirl around and make a silhouette of something.
As it slowly faded, they then heard a small female voice. "Yes, ma'am!" The light then completely vanished, and a new creature was standing right in front of them. It looked like some white and grey hedgehog with a bit of yellow in its quills.
Dash's eyes widened. "Woah! What the hell is that thing?!"
"So...you wanna do this the easy way or the hard way?" asked Dust, crossing her arms under her chest.
"Uh...is she talking to you or me?"
"Please don't let them take me, Rain!" exclaimed Veemon, the blue pegasus looking at him. "I don't want to go back!"
"Back where?"
"This is your last warning; put your hands up where I can see them!" Dust demanded. Rainbow looked at her, then at Veemon, smirking as she quickly stood up and grabbed Veemon, putting him over her shoulders and holding him like a firefighter. "Hey, what are you doing, kid?"
"I'm not gonna let you take him...this is the first time I've ever gotten an employee, and I'm not gonna give him up!"
"Yeah, you tell her, Rain!" cheered Veemon; Dash proceeded to run away with him as Dust gasped.
"HEY! Herissmon, stop her!"
Herissmon nodded and readied her attack. "Lightning Quills!" She got on all fours and shot her quills towards Dash and Veemon.
When her quills landed in front of them, they struck down like lightning, making small black ashy holes in the boardwalk. Dash held her arm out in front of her to block her from the flashes of light that came from the quills, and she grunted a bit.
"Hang on, Rain...I got this!" Veemon said, the blue pegasus looked at him, she watched him hold up his hand at Dust, and it started to glow a red-like ball.
"He's attacking!!" exclaimed Dust.
"V-Shot!!" Veemon jerked his hand back, and it fired a beam straight towards Lightning Dust, which made her gasp.
"Lightning Quills!" Herissmon fired her quills at the laser, and it canceled it out, but it made a dust cloud. The green pegasus put her arm close to her and coughed a bit violently in her arm.
When the dust settled, Lightning looked ahead and saw Rainbow and Veemon have vanished; Herissmon spoke up. "They're gone!"
"Damn it..." Dust said under her breath.
[Nightfall] - Dark Alleyway in Ponyville
Rainbow looked left and right; Veemon was still on her back. "Okay...this might be safe for now..." She slowly put the Digimon down. "Okay...Veemon, I want you to answer me when I say this: Who are we running away from...and what are you anyway?"
"I'm a Digimon...short for 'Digital Monster' I'm from the Digital World." Veemon replied, walking past her to look out the alleyway to see if the coast was clear; he then turned back towards her. "Please, Rain...don't let them take me back..."
Rainbow sighed and put her hands in her jacket pockets. "What am I getting myself into this time..." She thought out loud. "I don't know what kind of trouble you're in, Veemon, but I'll help you out..."
Veemon smiled. "Oh, thank you, Rain! I'll never ask for anything again!" He started to walk over to her, but his stomach then growled loudly. "E-Except food...I'm starving!"
"Well, suck it up and act like a man!" Rainbow ordered.
"But Raaaaaaaain!" The Digimon whined. "I'm a growing boooyyyy!"
"Hey, quiet down, V, somepony could hear you!"
"But Rain, I haven't eaaaaateeen!!!" The Digimon continued to whine like a spoiled little kid when his mother refused to give him a toy, Rainbow looking at him with a perplexed face.
Veemon grabbed Rainbow's jacket and started to slide down her like she was a wall, all the way to his knees, continuing the loud whining.
Dash had enough. "Ugh, ALRIGHT!! Alright! I'll get you something to eat... stop whining...Jeez, you sound like a crying puppy...wait here." She then started to walk away from Veemon, who was smiling.
"Oh, thank you, Rain, you're the best!"
She turned back towards him and pointed her finger down. "Stay put...don't let anypony hear or see you, okay?"
Veemon nodded in acknowledgment. "Mhm, got it...I'll wait right here!"
[A few minutes later] - Ponyville Convenient Store
Rainbow put a basket of various foods on the checkout counter. Some of the foods were instant ramen, various candy bars, canned pasta, potato chips, cookies, bread, water bottles, etc.
As the cashier scanned her items, Rainbow arched her eyebrow as she thought to herself. 'Hm...I wonder if Veemon eats any of this stuff..."
She then reached inside of her jacket to take out her wallet as she heard someone walk up. "Oh, and add this too, please..."
She looked forward and saw a green hand put a bag of mini chocolate chip cookies into the basket. Dash arched her eyebrow and looked to see who put it in, seeing that it was actually Lightning Dust, which made her eyes widen.
Dust wore casual clothing: She wore an open mint green hoodie, a black short-sleeve crop top, blue jean shorts, and red sneakers. She looked at Dash with a smirk. "Is that okay? Rainbow Dash?"
[3 minutes later] - Streets of Ponyville
Dash and Dust both sat down at a nearby bench; Inbetween them are the plastic bags full of the snacks Rainbow bought for Veemon. Dust took her bag of cookies out of the plastic bag and opened it up, putting a small cookie in her mouth. "Mmmm yummy, I love chocolate chip cookies; it reminds me of being a little kid again."
Dash looked at her with an annoyed expression. "You owe me 2 bits for that."
Dust gave a sly smirk. "Tell you what...I'll pay you back if you tell me where Veemon is..."
Rainbow then decided to act dumb. "Huh, I don't know who or where this 'Veemon' is..., and even if I did, there's no way I'd tell you."
Dust shrugged and ate another cookie. "Oh well, that's too bad...cuz now that means I have to arrest you and bring you in for questioning Ms. Dash..."
Dash then looked at her with a bit of interest and confusion. "Hey...how the hell do you know my name anyway?"
Dust smirked as she chewed another cookie, swallowing it. "I know everything about you: your full name is Rainbow Ashleigh Dashlyn."
Dash's pupils shrunk down a bit as Lightning continued. "You're 18 years old, Height 5,9, Blood Type O, and you're a Senior at Cloudsdale Academy for Girls. Your father, Bow Hothoof, disappeared when you were younger, and you currently live with your 42-year-old mother Windy Whistles, and your adoptive 12-year-old little sister Scootaloo, who looks up to you even though you act like a total bitch...am I right, or am I right, Dashlyn?"
"Okay, who the hell are you?!" demanded Dash, totally freaked out that she knows this much about her to the point of knowing her full name.
Lightning took out her badge from inside her hoodie and showed it to Dash. "I'm Special Agent Lightning Dust; I'm with The Equestrian Digital Force."
The blue pegasus looked at her badge then looked at Dust. "What do you do?"
Dust crumpled the empty cookie bag and put it in her pocket as she spoke. "Our job is to keep the peace between Digimon and equines by keeping wild Digimon away from the Equestrial Plain and sending them home in the Digital World...and you're disrupting the peace unless you tell us where Veemon is!"
RD shrugged, putting her pinkie in her ear. "I don't know...maybe he went back to the Digital World..."
"OR maybe you're hiding him!" Dust exclaimed, getting annoyed at Dash's attitude. She then stood up and pointed at the plastic bag full of food. "Look, I know you don't have a bottomless stomach; you got all of this for the Digimon you're hiding!"
Rainbow scoffed as Dust continued. "Digimon don't eat this stuff; they only eat food specifically for Digimon called DigiBytes."
Dash looked up at her. "What, Digibytes!? Where can I get those!?"
"You can't buy it at a convenient store, Dashlyn!" Dust explained. "You can only find it in The EDF Headquarters...so think about it...if you don't give Veemon to us: he'll starve to death!"
Dash sighed. "Fine...you caught me..." She slowly reached into the plastic bag and took out a cup of instant ramen, looking at it in defeat. "Show me where you work so I can do a little grocery shopping..."
Dust sighed and replied. "Thank you, Dashlyn..."
Dash looked at her in the comer of her eye. "It's 'Dash'...never 'Dashlyn.' "
'Alright...Thank you, Dash."
Dust then beckoned her head, and both pegasi opened their wings and took flight to the EDF.
Dust and Dash entered the Equestrian Digital Force's headquarters, the rainbow maned teen looking around in awe at what she saw. It was a huge high-tech room full of holographic monitors suspended in the air, many computers and keyboards with colorful buttons. She even saw a couple more of Digimon along with the other members of the force.
She looked at Lightning, who was by a huge white desk, the pony behind it was a yellow, orange pegasus that she didn't know.
As she walked over to them, Dust took out her badge and showed it to the pegasus along with saluting her. "Agent Dust, reporting for duty Commander."
"Good to have you back, Dust," The pegasus replied, looking at the rainbow pegasus now. "So you must be Dashlyn...I'm Commander Spitfire...Welcome to The EDF"
Dash looked at her with a bit of an annoyed expression as Dust whispered to Spitfire. "Commander...if you'll excuse me, but Dashlyn prefers to be called 'Dash.'"
"Oh, my apologies," Spitfire said to Rainbow, who nodded with a small smile.
Just then, an egg Digimon with yellow eyes and green reptilian feet came over to them.
It carried a steaming hot bowl on a tray and put the bowl on Spitfire's desk for Rainbow Dash. She looked inside of it and saw it was Yang Chun Noodle Soup. The egg Digimon spoke in a female voice as it also put chopsticks on the desk next to the bowl. "Enjoy."
As she walked away, Dash looked at her. "But, I'm not really hungry..." The egg Digimon didn't listen to her and just continued to walk; Dash looked at the bowl and shrugged. "Oh well..." She took it and began to eat it, slurping up the wet noodles with chopsticks.
Spitfire and Dust actually watched her eat as a male kid voice spoke. "Can't believe that this is the pegasus who managed to go toe to toe with a Digimon."
Rainbow looked up and saw a half-human, half-beast Digimon that was standing next to Spitfire.
Dash arched her eyebrow, slurping up the noddles in her mouth and speaking with her mouth full. "Hey, who's the little kid?"
The Digimon took offense to her comment. "Little kid?"
Spitfire gave a small chuckle and ruffled the Digimon's hair as she answered the teen. "This is Flamemon; he's my Digimon partner."
"Partners?" asked Dash, putting her half-eaten bowl of food on the desk.
"Yes, every member of the EDF has been paired with a Digimon partner." Dust answered; she then motioned her hand to the hedgehog Digimon that tried to subdue Dash and Veemon. "This little one is my partner, Herrismon."
The little white hedgehog gave Dash a small cute bow. "Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Dash" She then pouted to Dust. "And I'm not small; I'm a big girl."
Dust and Dash both chuckled as the cyan pegasus held up her hand at her. "Nice to meet ya too..."
"Now listen, Dash." The teen looked at Spitfire as she spoke. "You don't understand how dangerous Veemon is...he's a wild Digimon and could lose control at any moment. He might harm others if he loses control unless you give him up."
Dash looked at her angrily and spoke back. "Look, I don't understand why you guys have such a hate boner for Veemon; he's harmless!"
"He's not harmless, Dash!" Dust exclaimed. "He's wild and therefore untamed; what you don't understand is that he can kill you if you hang around Veemon for too long!"
"Calm the buck down!" Rainbow snapped, putting her finger on Dust's chest. "What you don't understand is what if things were bad in the digital world and Veemon just had to get away from it all!"
She used the same finger to push Dust, and she looked at the commander and held her hand out toward her. "Look, any bad thing that Veemon does from now on, I'll claim full responsibility for his actions...but only if you give me some Digibytes so I can feed him!"
Commander Spitfire was about to answer before a loud alarm started blaring, and the room was blinking red, the yellow, orange pegasus looking towards the other two EDF members. "What's going on, Aloe and Lotus?!"
Aloe was pressing the high-tech keyboard very fast. "Hang on, ma'am, pulling up traffic cams." The monitor then showed a pizza parlor on fire. "We have sightings of a Digimon over in Ponyville Sector BA; a local pizza parlor is on fire!"
Rainbow gritted her teeth and gave a small growl. That was the area where she was hiding Veemon, Lightning spoke. "I get the feeling that Veemon has something to do with that...did you give him anything to eat, Dash?"
"No...I didn't..." Dash mumbled a bit before speaking out. "But if it is him, he's probably just attacking out of hunger!"
"Exactly!" Dust pushed Dash with one finger. "This is your fault, Dashlyn! Because of you, innocent ponies are gonna be killed thanks to Veemon; we told you he was dangerous!"
The cyan teen growled and sighed. "You're right...It is my fault...and I'm gonna make it right..." She then ran out of the EDF Headquarters, her open sports jacket flailing behind her.
"Dash, wait!" Dust called; Spitfire looked at the turquoise pegasus.
"Dust, go after her." The agent nodded, and she and Herrismon ran after Rainbow Dash, who already had a huge head-start.
[An Hour Later - 10:45] Outside of Ponyville Pizza Parlor
Dash landed in front of the burning pizzeria and shielded her eyes with a few cars exploded. She then began to shout to the top of her lungs.
"VEEMON!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?!?!?!?! VEEEEMOOOOONNNN!!!!!!"
"Rain!! is that you?!" Dash looked to her right and saw Veemon was running toward her. "IT IS!!!" He then jumped up and hugged Dash tightly, his legs and arms wrapping around her. "Yay, I can finally have delicious food!!"
Rainbow growled and made Veemon let go of her, sounding completely hysterical. "ARE YOU BUCKING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW, VEEMON?! DID YOU REALLY ATTACK THE PIZZA PARLOR BECAUSE YOU WERE STARVING?!!?!?!"
Veemon held up his hands, trying to calm her down. "Rain, what are you talking about? I didn't attack anything; why are you shouting at me?!"
"Huh?" The cyan teen looked at the burning parlor with confusion. "W-Wait...if you didn't set the parlor on fire....then w-who-"
Just then, they heard a lion-like roar, and a huge tiger that was made of fire came out of the flames. It had large white talons on both its front paws and back paws.
Dust arrived and landed a few feet from the parlor and gasped when she saw the fire tiger. "That's not Veemon..." She then heard a beep on her earpiece and pressed the answer button.
"Lightning." A female voice spoke. "It's Lotus, and we got a reading on who the attacker is... it's not Veemon."
"I can see that, but who is it?" Dust asked.
"It's Lynxmon: An Armor Digimon... its attacks are Wild Nail Rush, Wild Nail Claws, and Thermal Mane, which creates a huge fire explosion."
"Damn it.." The turquoise pegasus then started to run towards the parlor.
"CELESTIA!!! IS THAT A GIANT FIRE CAT?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, backing up a little bit.
"I think that's a Lynxmon, Rain!" Veemon answered. "How did it even get here?!"
"I don't know...but I think it's our duty to send him back...I won't let some overgrown hot-headed cat destroy my town!" Rainbow said with a smirk, looking at the blue dragon Digimon. "Ready to fight Veemon?"
"Yes, I am Rain, let's get 'em'!" Both Rainbow and Veemon both charged the Lynxmon as it growled and tried to swipe its claws at Rainbow, who dodged out of the way as Veemon ran up and jumped at the fire Digimon head-first.
"Vee-Headbutt!!" His head connected with the Digimon's face, and it staggered back a bit with a small grunt.
Rainbow jumping onto the Digimon's back, surprised that she didn't get burned from its fur; she then started to punch the top of its head with a smile rapidly. "Take this, you hot-headed furball!"
Dust arrived and gasped when she saw Rainbow on Lynxmon's back. "DASH!!!! GET OFF OF THAT THING AND GET OUT OF HERE; IT'S TOO DANGEROUS!!!!!"
Dash heard her and shook her head, continuing to punch the Digimon. "NO WAY! A TRUE FIGHTER NEVER BACKS DOWN AND NEVER SURRENDERS, THEY FIGHT TO THE END EVEN IF IT MEANS YOUR LIFE IS IN ABSOLUTE DANGER!!!"
"YEAH, GO RAIN!!!!" Veemon cheered.
Dust face-palmed with a long sigh as her device bleeped; Herrismon spoke. "Wow...how single-minded is this chick?"
"I don't know...and I'm starting not to care..." Dust replied, furrowing her eyebrows.
Lynxmon had enough of the punches, and its mane started to glow along with it opening up its mouth, a beam slowly building up inside of it.
Veemon, Rain, and Dust all gasped. "Thermal Mane!!!!"
A huge fire beam came out of its mouth and hit many nearby cars by Veemon, causing them to explode right next to him and throwing him back into the wall of a shop, Rainbow shouted. "VEEMON!!!!!"
She jumped off Lynxmon's back and did a small somersault when she hit the ground, going on her feet. She then sprinted towards Veemon, covered in bloody scrapes and burn marks, and knelt to him, her hands going under his body and holding him.
"V-Veemon...wake up..." Rain then started to pour down on top of the town as Dash's hair was covering her eyes, putting Veemon's forehead onto hers as she felt her eyes get watery. "Veemon...."
The pegasus put the Digimon back on the ground gently and then growled, balling her left hand into a tight fist, her vain popping out a bit as she looked at Lynxmon with kill in her eyes. "You....."
She then slowly stood up and yelled at the top of her lungs, which made Lightning's eyes widen. "ARE GONNA PAY FOR HURTING HIM YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!"
Rainbow Dash then fully sprinted toward the fire Digimon without a second thought, her sports jacket, and mane flying behind her like a cape in the wind. Lynxmon growled and readied its attack again. "Thermal Mane!!!!"
Dash sidestepped it and kept sprinting towards the flaming cat. She then jumped in the air with a roar, her left fist still clenched tightly. "GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!"
She then slammed her fist onto Lynxmon's face, the Digimon roaring in pain as her fist dug into its face. Rainbow kept growling with anger until she noticed that this punch felt different, like it was more powerful than she anticipated. What proved her point was after she punched Lynxmon, it launched backward and hit the flaming pizza parlor, breaking the building.
Dash backed up and looked at the fist she used to punch the Digimon, confused till she saw it glow some...digital-Esque aura, its color was dark blue. "The hell...what's going on with my hand?"
"HEY!" A male voice called with a thick southern accent; Dash looked in the voice's direction in confusion.
"H-Huh?" The teen looked to see who was calling her and saw a muscular red pony with a blond mane; he wore a dark red flannel, blue jeans, and cowboy boots. She watched him take something out of his pocket. "Heads up!"
He then chucked something at her, and Rainbow quickly caught it with one hand, looking at what he threw. She saw that in her hand was the same small rectangular device that Lightning Dust had, but it was blue and white.
"What's this?" Dash asked.
"A Digivice..." The stallion answered. "Use it in combination with yer Digisoul which is triggered bah your fist...bah using a technique called a D.N.A. Charge yer Digimon can digivolve."
"Digivolve? Digisoul? D.N.A. Charge?! What are you talking about?!" Rainbow asked in complete bafflement.
"Trust yer Digisoul and yer heart to awaken Veemon's champion-level young filly."
"Champion level..." Rainbow whispered to herself; she looked at Lynxmon, slowly trying to get up from the hit Dash gave. Rainbow Dash then took one final look at Veemon's knocked-out faze and knew what she had to do. "Alright then...let's dance!"
[Elsewhere] - EDF HQ
"Commander, look at Dash's hand!" shouted Lotus, zooming the camera's feed so they could see her hand glowing with her dark blue Digisoul.
Spitfire continued to look at the screen. "Is that...a Digital Natural Ability...how did she get that?"
Rainbow put her arms into an X in front of her chest, the word 'Digivolution' appearing on her digivice as her Digisoul continued to glow on her hand.
"D.N.A!!!" As she said that, she moved her arms in a circular motion, raising her digivice up into the air. She then brought it down and pulled her left arm back like she was going for a punch; thrusting it forward and her hand slammed on top of her digivice as she shouted. "CHARGE!!!"
Her Digisoul flowed into her small rectangular device and the screen emitted a white glow. She kept her hand on top of the digivice as she brought it to her side and then after taking her hand off of it, she thrust it toward Veemon with a grunt, a bright light came out of her digivice and shot her dark blue Digisoul out of the screen, her mane and clothes moving a bit in the small breeze that kicked in.
Veemon slowly opened his eyes, and his pupils shrunk down to pinpricks as he felt this new power building up inside of him. Rainbow watched as her dark blue Digisoul started to slowly surrounded the blue dragon as he shouted.
"Veemon!! Digivolve Toooo!!!"
Veemon started growing very big and tall as a building; his muscles were getting larger and more defined. His torso had a full-on chiseled chest along with a strong six-pack, his knuckles grew two spikes on each hand, The small metal spike on his nose grew larger and curved upwards, and Rainbow even saw that he had a huge gray V emblem on his huge muscular torso, but what surprised her, even more, was that Veemon grew huge white dragon wings.
"ExVeemon!"
Rainbow gasped and moved out of the way as a big blue reptile foot nearly crushed her. ExVeemon roared at Lynxmon.
ExVeemon put his hand down to the ground so Rainbow can climb on; he then lifted her so he could talk to her face to face. His voice was a lot deeper than his rookie form. "Get back a safe distance, Rain, leave this hot-headed kitten to me!"
Dash smiled and nodded. "Alright, be careful, man." She unfurled her wings and flew off of his giant hand; Dash then backed away from the scene but still watched from a good distance.
Lightening ran over to the scene and gasped. "Veemon digivolved?!"
Her earpiece beeped, and Lotus spoke. "Yes, he turned into ExVeemon...A champion level!" Lightening looked around and saw Dash, looking at her angrily and running to her.
"YOU!" Dash looked at her, but before she could react, Dust grabbed her right arm and put it behind her back, pinned her against the wall; the blue pegasus grunted. "You know what you just did?! ExVeemon's gonna kill us all!!!"
Rainbow felt her face against the brick wall as she tried to explain herself. "Hey, I didn't know he'd transform!"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" snapped Dust. "You're under arrest, Dashlyn; anything you say will be used against you in the name of The EDF!"
They then felt a small earthquake as Lynxmon crashed onto the sidewalk into cars, exploding them. Both of them looked at the battle with wide eyes and saw ExVeemon run-up to Lynxmon and kicked it in the stomach, making the fire cat growl in pain; Rainbow Dash smirked. "Good, finish him off ExVeemon!!"
ExVeemon gave her a thumbs up. "Right!" He then grabbed the lion made of fire with one hand, and the fire Digimon tried to attack.
"Thermal Mane!!" It blasted the attack on ExVeemon's chest, but it disintegrated as soon as it touched him.
"Your attacks are useless!" ExVeemon shouted; he then threw Lynxmon up into the air and put his arms in front of him in the shape of an 'X.'
"Vee-Laser!!!" He slashed his arms down, and the 'V' emblem on his chest began to glow; the glow then turned into a huge powerful orange blast in the shape of a 'V,' and it went towards Lynxmon, the fire cat roared in pain when the laser hit and it disintegrated, its data then turned into a pink egg with dark circle spots, the egg then lightly descended to the ground.
Dust gasped. "H-He...he destroyed Lynxmon?"
Due to that distraction, Dash made the chance to break free from Lightning's grasp. "Of course he did! I already told you before; he's not dangerous!"
They then saw ExVeemon glow dark blue, and he started to shrink, Rainbow running past Dust just in time to see Veemon back to normal. "Hey Rain, how did I do?"
Dash grabbed him and picked him up, hugging him. "That was incredible!! You totally kicked ass out there!!"
Veemon chuckled and hugged her back. "Hey, that was nothing. I'm an amateur compared to you."
"No way, you are no amateur; you are awesome!" She stopped hugging him and put him down, going on one knee. "Ya know what, I say we're the ultimate team, nopony will ever mess with us!" She held out her hand. "So how bout it? Are we the ultimate crime-fighting team or what?"
Veemon smiled and grasped Rainbow's hand, shaking it. "Hell yeah, of course, we're the ultimate team!"
Lightning ran over to them and spoke. "Okay...he may have saved all of us from Lynxmon, but I still have to bring him in for beating up 20 creatures at Canterlot Bay!"
"Oh, sorry, that was my fault!" Rainbow said, holding up her hand with a smile.
"H-Huh?" Dust was confused as Dash explained herself.
"Those were just a few assholes who were stirring up trouble on my training grounds. They were trying to mug from innocent creatures, so I taught them not to mess with me and to not mess with any innocent bystanders on my turf."
Veemon gleamed. "It's gonna take more than 20 punks to take you down, right, Rain?"
"Hell yeah!" both Rainbow and Veemon began to laugh together as Dust put a hand on her head.
"Guh...Dash is just the worst..." She then looked at them angrily and clenched her fist. "I ought to arrest you both right now!"
"Guh, uh oh!" Rainbow replied, looking at Veemon. "RUN!!!"
Both she and Veemon began to run as Dust chased them. "YOU TWO GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW OR ELSE I'LL SICK HERRISMON ON YOU TWO!!!"
Her digivice beeped; Herrismon spoke with an annoyed tone. "You make me sound like I'm some dog..."
Dust actually caught Rainbow and had her in handcuffs, bringing her into the HQ along with Veemon, who was wearing a collar and was being dragged on a leash with Herrismon holding it, Commander Spitfire and Flamemon both turning to look at them.
"You've been causing trouble for too long, Dash..." said Spitfire, her hands going on her desk. "It's time to get Veemon back home."
"What are you talking about?!" exclaimed Dash, moving her arm so Dust could let her go. "I never caused any trouble!"
Flamemon spoke. "Tell them what's going to happen to Veemon Commander..."
The yellow-orange pegasus looked at Veemon, who looked back with a nervous expression. "All Digimon who break the rules of The Equestrial Plain must be turned back into a Digi-egg and return to the Digital World where they belong."
"Return to the Digital World?!" yelled Dash. "What are you, Dense?! You already know that Veemon didn't attack the pizza parlor so STOP TREATING HIM LIKE A CELESTIA-DAMN CRIMINAL!!!!"
"He is a criminal Dash!" Dust explained, the cyan pegasus looking at her. "There's more than one rule, ya know; if a Digimon even comes to this world, it's a crime, and interacting with ponies is strictly prohibited!"
"YOU ALL ARE BUCKING HYPOCRITES; YOU ALL WORK SIDE BY SIDE WITH DIGIMON!!!!!" Yelled Dash, completely pissed off that they're treating Veemon this way even though he just saved their lives.
Dust spoke up again. "Tell us this smartass: A police car runs a speed limit to catch a criminal...does that mean the officer is a criminal too?" Rainbow gave a low growl and pouted, not answering. "Yeah, that's what I thought..."
"Now that's just unfair..." Veemon said, looking at Herrismon, who just shrugged in response.
"I'm sorry about this, Veemon, but the law is the law," Spitfire told the cyan pegasus. Just then, Rainbow heard someone walking behind her. She saw a tall black, dark purple striped Digimon cat. She had beautiful blue eyes, a white furry underbelly, and had a perfect curved figure, along with her chest being pretty busty. She wore yellow gloves with red stripes on her paws and the end of the gloves here turquoise claws, her tail was long, and at the end of it, she had purple fur that looked like the shape of fire, on her tail there was like a red and yellow tail ring, and she also had white soles on her bottom paws. In her glove paws, she was holding some light pink egg with dark pink circles. Dash also couldn't help but notice that she was swaying her hips lightly with each step she took.
"Wait...is that?" Rainbow thought, realizing that the egg that cat Digimon was holding was Lynxmon, the one who actually attacked the pizza parlor and was stopped by ExVeemon. She watched the black cat give the egg to another cat Digimon that looked exactly like her and the color of the same gloves, but she was completely white and had purple stripes; also, her gloves talons were gray instead of turquoise.
The white cat put the egg in a large and strange-looking portal device as Spitfire spoke to Dash. "Yep, that's Lynxmon's egg...Those two Digimon who were holding it are Gatomon and BlackGatomon, and they're twin sisters just like their partners, Gatomon is Aloe’s partner, and BlackGatomon is Lotus’."
"Why do they have such good-looking bodies like that?" asked Dash. "They look very suggestive..."
The Commander shrugged. "That's just how they were made, Dash" She leaned in and whispered to her quietly. "Don't worry...they're not like...sexual deviants or anything remotely similar...they take offense to that actually."
The two cats sat with their respected partners, and Lotus spoke. "Digital Dive Case Closing."
"Digital Dive Set, Digi-Gate Opening," Aloe replied. She and Gatomon were typing in the coordinates.
"Digital Transport in T-minus 10 seconds..." Gatomon added, the machine shined brightly with an orange-like digital-Esque aura that began surrounding the egg; Rainbow and Veemon shielded their eyes as Gatomon counted. "3...2...1...Commencing Digital Transport!"
She hit a red button, and a huge flash of light erupted in the room. When it settled, Veemon and Rainbow un-shielded their eyes and gasped when they saw that Lynxmon's egg had completely vanished, BlackGatomon speaking this time. "Digital Dive Transport Complete...Digi-Gate Closing."
"T-The egg, it's gone!" Rainbow exclaimed.
Veemon looked at Commander Spitfire. "Where did it go?"
"It went back to the digital world where it belongs," Spitfire replied, looking at them both. "But now...it's time for Veemon to go back...Herrismon...turn him into a Digi-egg..."
Herissmon nodded. "Yes, ma'am..." She gave the leash to Dust and walked in front of Veemon, sharpening her quills. "Don't worry, darling; this won't hurt a bit..." She curled into a sharp spike ball and rolled toward Veemon, the blue dragon screaming and panicking.
"RAAAIIIN!!!! HELP ME!!! I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK!!!!!" Veemon actually started to cry and squirm in his leash, which made Dust hold him back harder.
Rainbow Dash growled and balled her hands into fists. "GET THE BUCK AWAY FROM MY FRIEND!!!!!!" She punched Dust in the face, which knocked her down to the floor. She then kicked Herissmon into a wall, the Digimon's quills puncturing the wall and keeping her there.
Dash then saw the egg Digimon walking with a hot teapot, and she kicked that too, making the room covered in hot steam like a smokescreen. The blue pegasus quickly picked up Veemon and unshackled the leash along with the collar, running out of the room with him in her arms.
Dust coughed and rubbed where Dash punched her, beginning to run after the teen. "OH NO, YOU DON'T!!!!"
Herissmon got off the wall and panted heavily, beginning to run too. "HEY! DUST WAIT FOR ME!!!!"
Commander Spitfire sighed and just put her hand on her head in annoyance before hearing the female egg Digimon call her. "Commander!"
The pegasus looked at her. "What is it Digitamamon?" She watched the Digimon walk over to her and placed Rainbow's digivice on her desk.
"Look at what I found on the floor; it's a digivice." Spitfire picked it up and looked at it curiously.
"Dashlyn must've dropped it when she fled..." Flamemon theorized, Spitfire, giving it to him so he could look at it too. "But how did she manage to obtain one?"
Spitfire gave a small chuckle, looking at the door where Dash ran out of. "That kid...just full of surprises."
[11:40pm] Cloudsdale Alleyways
Rainbow flew and landed in an empty alleyway with Veemon, looking out of it carefully. "Okay...I think we're clear..."
"Thank you so much, Rain." Veemon said gratefully, the pegasus looking at him and smiling as he continued. "I'm proud to call you my boss."
"Hey, it's nothing." She went down on one knee to be at eye-level with him, her hand petting his head. "There's no way in hell I'm going to let those guys destroy you and take you back to the Digital World."
Her face then turned from happy to worried and concerned. "By the look on your face and the fact that you were acting hysterical...it sounded like something terrible happened over there....you want to talk about it?"
"Well... a mighty Digimon named Beelzemon wants to kill me when I went onto his territory even though he told me not to."
"And why did he want to kill you?" asked Dash.
"Because I betrayed him by working for Meicrackmon..."
"Who's Meicrackmon?"
"Oh, I really should introduce her to you; she's incredible." Veemon smiled and held out his hand, counting with his fingers. "She's nice, strong, courageous, caring, and also she's downright cute if I say so myself." He nudged Dash's knee.
"Okay..." Rainbow replied. "Enough of that... let's get you out of here...my house is only a couple blocks away."
"Great, let's get going!" Veemon smiled, walking towards the alleyway's opening before Rainbow grabbed one of his ears. "Ow!"
"We're not going out in the open where everyone can see you, dumbass." Rainbow lectured. "We have to hide you while at the same time get you to my house..." She looked around in the alleyway and noticed a large cardboard box nearby. "Perfect!"
[12:00am] Dash Household
Dash flew into her room through her window, carrying a big cardboard box in her arms. When she placed it down, Veemon popped out of the box like a jack-in-the-box. "Wow...ya know that box was surprisingly cozy."
"I'm surprised you liked it in there," Rainbow replied. "Want me to put a pillow and blanket in there too?"
"That sounds great!" Veemon smiled.
"Hahaha, I was kidding, Veemon." Dash took off her sports jacket and put it in her closet. "But if you really do like that box, I will seriously give you a blanket and a pillow."
Veemon squeed in happiness and jumped into his box as Rainbow stripped down to her bra and panties. Rainbow then took an extra blanket and pillow from her closet and gave them to Veemon.
"Make sure you get plenty of sleep, okay, Veemon?"
"Okay, Rain, you're the best boss ever." the blue dragon replied. "Goodnight."
Rainbow was sitting on her bed just watching Veemon stuff his face with all the food she bought for him at the convenience store; she was not really amused.
Veemon stuffed two whole brownies in his mouth and chewed them up pretty loudly, but at least he was chewing with his mouth closed; he swallowed them and smiled at Dash. "Wow, Rain, if all this is what you ponies call junk food, then I'm happy to be a garbage dump!" He grabbed a cup of instant ramen that Dash already prepared for him, along with some chopsticks, and he began slurping up the wet noodles loudly. Rainbow kept watching him with an annoyed expression.
"He can only eat DigiBytes, huh...?" Rainbow said to herself. "This guy would eat anything I give him...on the plus side, at least he's not picky..."
"Dash, are you home!?" called a mature female voice; Rainbow gasped.
"Oh crap!" She grabbed Veemon, who kept holding the ramen very tightly in his hands and put him in her closet. "Stay in here, and this time keep very quiet!" She also brushed all of Veemon's snacks into the closet with her foot before closing the doors. She could still hear Veemon slurping his noodles loudly. "If you got to slurp, slurp quieter than that!"
The mare knocked and opened her room door and saw Rainbow was standing with her back facing against her closet doors with a nervous smile on her face. Her name was Windy Whistles; she wore an open orange zip-up jacket with a green collar over a white t-shirt, white jeans, and black flat-heeled shoes. "Rainbow!"
"Uhhh, Hi Mom..." Rainbow said nervously. "What's going on...?"
"Well, you're busted; that's what's going on missy, I've been worried sick. Where the hell have you been?!" exclaimed Windy, crossing her arms angrily.
"Uh...I've been hanging out with some friends?" Rainbow lied, sweating a bit out of nervousness.
"Rain...I know when you're lying to me." The mature mare replied, leaning in a little bit which made the teenager lean back.
"No, trust me, Mom, I've been spending time with some friends from school." Rainbow spurted out slightly, her mother slowly leaning away from her face.
Windy sighed and grabbed a mirror from Rainbow's dresser and put it up to the teen's face, showing her reflection to her. Rainbow saw that she had a small black and blue bruise under her right eye, most likely from Veemon when they were fighting.
"I don't know if you think I'm stupid, Rainbow," Windy stated. "You have been fighting again...every time you leave this house to hang out with friends, you always come back with some bruise, cut, or scrape...I know you've been getting into fights, but lately, all of this fighting you're doing is too much. What's going to happen if the police come knocking at the door with you in handcuffs because you couldn't control your temper, or you god-forbid punched someone without thinking?"
Rainbow fell silent as her mother slowly lowered the mirror and put it on the dresser. She took her daughter's hand and went to guide her to her bed. Dash was slightly hesitant because she's worried Veemon might fall out of the closet at some point. But she knew that if she fought back against her mother to stand in front of the closet again, she'd get suspicious.
They both sat down on the edge of Rainbow's bed, the mature pegasus looking at her daughter. "Dash, I understand that you miss your father dearly, but all of this fighting isn't going to make it any better. Why don't you tell me what's going on?"
"Mom, it's...it's complicated, you wouldn't understand..." Rainbow replied hesitantly, looking down at her feet.
"I know I wouldn't understand, Dash, because I'm not you. I don't have any idea what you're feeling right now. But I know that Bow's disappearance is hard; it's hard on all of us." Windy put her hand on her daughter's back. "The best thing we could do right now is to be strong and stick together, all three of us."
Rainbow softly smiled and nodded in agreement, knowing that her mother was right. Windy smiled back and kissed Rainbow's head, ruffling her mane as she stood up. "I'm gonna start cooking dinner in a few minutes." She then left Dash's room, closing the door.
While eating, Veemon watched through the slits of Rainbow's closet and listened to the whole conversation, whispering to himself. "There's three? Who's the third?" He was about to exit the closet, but he quickly stopped when he heard another knock at Rainbow's door.
Rainbow looked at the closet and held up her hand at Veemon, signaling him to stay there. "Come in."
The door opened to show a 12-year-old orange pegasus filly with a short purple tomboyish mane and a long tail. She wore a black open hoodie with a bright green t-shirt underneath, green cargo shorts, and black sneakers. "Hey Dash? Is it okay if I borrow your bike?"
"Oh uhh, sure, Scootaloo..." Rainbow replied with a small smile at her, feeling a little better after the talk she and Windy had.
"Great!" Scootaloo went over to Rainbow's closet. "Is your bike helmet in here?"
Rainbow gasped and stood up, holding her hand out toward Scootaloo when she grabbed the closet doorknob. "WAIT!!"
But it was too late; Scootaloo opened the closet, and Veemon tumbled out of it. He landed right on top of the 12-year-old, which in turn; caused her to fall onto her back with a thud, some of his snacks landing on either of them or the floor. Scootaloo looked up at Veemon's big red reptilian eyes, and the Digimon was looking back into her grayish-purple eyes.
There was a moment of silence in the room before Veemon broke it. "Uhm, Hello."
Almost on cue, Scootaloo screamed at the top of her lungs. She punched Veemon straight in the face, and the Digimon grunted in pain, getting off of her and running out of Dash's room.
"MOM!!! RAINBOW WAS HIDING A GIANT BLUE DRAGON MONSTER IN HER CLOSET!!!!" yelled Scootaloo.
Rainbow quickly got up from her bed and covered Scoots' mouth with her hand. The filly was squirming as she picked her up and threw her into her closet, and closed the door. She then quickly put her desk chair on the knobs so Scootaloo couldn't get out.
"RAINBOW!!!!" yelled Scootaloo as she was banging on the doors with both hands. "I HATE WHEN YOU DO THIS!!!!!!!"
Rainbow quickly raced out of her room and ran after Veemon, Windy Whistles coming out of her room and not seeing the cyan pegasus and the Digimon run downstairs. "What's with all the shouting?!"
While running down the stairs, Veemon lost his footing on one of the steps, which caused Rainbow to run into him and lose her footing. Both of them then tumbled down the rest of the stairs, hitting the front door, which caused it to swing open.
Rainbow and Veemon were both lying on the ground groaning in pain. Windy and Scootaloo ran toward the stairs, and Windy gasped as Scootaloo pointed to them. "See?! Rainbow was hiding a monster!!"
They then saw mint green shoes by Rainbow's head, and they both looked up, seeing that Lightning Dust was at the front door. The green pegasus looked down at the unconscious Rainbow and Veemon, putting her finger on her earpiece as she was reporting back to HQ.
"This is Agent Dust; I've found Dashlyn and Veemon...and it seems that her family is now aware of Veemon's existence. Should I proceed with erasing all of their memories?"
