The Star allies have been caught off guard by a mysterious portal while on their way home from their latest adventure and split apart across a world filled with the same force that brought them together in the first place, Friendship. At some point we all must make up for the bad things we do and apologize to whom we wronged, some members of this group did this and changed themselves for the better and finding new things and friends along the way but some never change and only wish to do what they please. A certain legendary group was a mix of both, with friends and enemies from the past returning to help for a common goal, let me show you the story after this group achieved their legendary status and how they found something truly special and powerful once more....
“Stop being so loud!" Marx yelled, in the chaos he got a funny idea to liven things up "I guess you could say I want him to cut it out! hahaha!” Marx joked loudly over Dark Matter’s cutter attack. The battle had been raging on for hours now and Kirby after so long of fighting him was losing hope, that is until a light bulb lit up inside Driblee.
“Marx, Magolor come down here I have an idea!”
Driblee yelled as the dark matter fired six massive lasers out of its one eye, Marx and Magolor dodged them as they descended upon Driblee and she quickly told them the plan as Kirby inhaled a large group of stars left behind by the dark matter’s attacks and in turn spit out a massive star at the dark matter causing him to stager. They agreed and began to put their idea to work, Marx wrapped his wings around him sparkling dark energy from what lies within him as Driblee infused him with the power of water.
“Here we go!” Magolor announced as he put his ethereal spike ring around Marx. Marx then released the incredible power as he split himself in two creating a large black hole that was swelling and much stronger due to the combo Driblee and Magolor had pulled of with Marx.
The pull force was far stronger than anything void termina had experienced as he struggled to evade the ripped hole in space as Marx screamed in agony from the pain that the pull force was putting on him, Void Termina screamed as a white light engulfed him. Kirby and his allies were then shot out of void Termina’s neck once more as well as the mage sisters who landed on the star allies sparkler’s rainbow and Hyness who fell into an interdimensional portal not to far away, as Zan Partizane looked on and saw her master fall as the portal closed. Kirby and friends landed safely on the star allies sparkler once more, they watched on silent as void termina’s body was engulfed in a purple aura fading it from existence with dark matter hoping out just in time growling. He jumped into the air and released his true form once more, Kirby now knew thanks to Meta Knight, that all dark matters were nothing but pure negative and hateful energy, and as Kirby began to wish for a place where negative energy is almost non existent, Dark Matter began to charge up a massive laser of pure negative energy as Kirby did the same but with friendship energy. They then clashed as Kirby gained the upper hand quite quickly, but void termina had one more trick up his petals, he changed all his energy into one massive strike and blasted, Kirby staggered the beam nearly reaching him, as he channeled all the love his friends and newly made friends had shown along the way as he blasted Dark Matter strait throw the eye severely weakening him. Kirby then summoned all his friends being projections of the real ones, except the friends from his previous adventures strangely who weren't expect dark meta knight, strangely. Kirby yelled with victory in his nubiles as his projection allies flew in destroying dark matter with the very weakness all dark matters feared, positive emotions.
A huge explosion then occurred with the mage sisters holding on to the rainbow at the back of the star allies sparkler as hard as they could, they flew as fast as it could away from the explosion, the star allies cheered victory. As the explosion behind them engulfed them, Kirby then awoke to best friend and his friends looking down upon him as they floated through space,
“Don’t summon me if it has to do with one of them...”Dedede said with fear “we don’t want another repeat of the last three times that thing’s type came after me”
“Worry about that after we get home” Meta Knight said as Kirby held up his star phone calling his warp star to take then back home.
“Poyo” Kirby said with a smile the warp star arrived shortly,they then hopped on the warp star as Kirby once again thought, could a world with next to no negative energy really even exist? or was it just another fantasy in his head.
Coincidentally a portal shaped very similar to the ones that he used during the time he and his pals helped Magolor rebuild the Lor star cutter appeared and began to suck them through with force being almost as big as when he ate miracle fruit! Even the warp star was not able to escape the pull force, it shattered into seven pieces one housing Kirby, Meta Knight, and Zan partizane, another housing Marx and Driblee, another with Tranaza and a recently reformed Sectonia who had been reverted back to her normal form thanks to Kirby convincing Dark Meta Knight to do so as a truce after a fight Dark Meta Knight had with Tranza, another star carried Adeline, Ribbon, King Dedede, Bandanna dee, and Susie, another held Gooey and the animal trio, and the last one held Daroch, the Squeak Squad, and Flamberge, Dark Meta Knight sensing his new partner in danger flew in as fast as he wcould grabbing Daroach’s claws but eventually his grip gave way and he was sucked in to with them. Magolor and Francisca who had flew quickly to grab the Lor star Cutter came back just in time to see them get pulled throw, Magolor then hit full throttle and went in expecting to find his friends wherever this portal may put them but the Lor began to malfunction due to the pure force of the portal, tearing at the Lor.
“Please be the place I want it to be...“Kirby prayed in his mind as they were sent across the galaxy in an instant. Little did Kirby know his wish would be granted, mostly…..
Twilight had tucked Spike in due to him being too tired to go stargazing with her. Twilight trotted out to her castle’s balcony and peered through her telescope she hoped to see something at the very least interesting that night.
“So how's star gazing going?”
Starlight asked her before looking up with Twilight.
“So far nothing” Twilight responded.
“I always thought there could be something beyond the stars except the moon, but it looks like tonight isn’t my night”
“well we may never know what lies beyond, if anything comes to us it would most likely be some kind of accident,” Starlight said
But as she did Twilight’s eyes bulged in shock as she looked up, Starlight looked to where Twilight was looking and stared, just in the atmosphere was a massive portal in the shape of a star. They watched interested and horrified as many things began to rain down upon Equestria, a red and black star-like object was falling towards the crystal empire, a pink and blue one was falling at high speed towards the badlands, a yellow, pink, slight rainbow, and slight crystal star was falling towards Canterlot, a light blue and yellow star was falling towards Fluttershy's front yard, a massive ship came flying out explosions ringing around it, strange gears in spheres were falling all over Ponyville(Francisca and Magolor were panicking at this time) and finally a pink, black and yellow star was…. Heading straight for them! Twilight pushed Starlight back inside and jumped out of the way, her telescope along with most of the balcony were gone as Twilight heard the impact it roused Spike from his sleep causing him to run and check up on Twilight only to find her and Starlight staring at a strange star in the ground, it faded and disappeared leaving three strange beings in the crater unconscious.
Twilight fluttered down with her wings, Starlight used her magic to slow her descent, they both trotted over to the crater as spike ran out the front entrance of her castle to catch up with them. The three of them looked in the hole, they found three figures one a round pink creature with strange things on its sides which twilight assumed were itś arms since she knew a thing or two about them after her trip to one of the many mirror versions of Equestria. The second one was similar to the first but was a strange shade of blue with a cape on his back that looked similar to Lunaś hair, Twilight saw two large bat-like wings under it, he also wore a silver mask and purple shoulder pads with a great letter M inscribed upon them, and lying in the dirt next to him was a golden lightning bolt-shaped sword with a red gem integrated into the hilt, Twilight and Starlight sensed a great magic presence coming from the sword. The last figure was the most notable to Twilight, she looked like one of the strange creatures she met in the mirror realm of Equestria, except without the legs, she did have the hands and she also wore a hat with two purple transparent hearts attached to it, it also had a strange wing like symbol on the top of it, she also clenched a spear that was crackling with lighting energy. Twilight nervously trotted down to them,
"Twilight what are you doing we don't know if these things are dangerous yet!" Spike said nervously
Twilight ignored his warning and poked the blue one with her hoof it stirred awake, it’s bright yellow eyes opening.
"Uhhhhh, what happened?̈"Meta Knight said
he slowly opened his eyes, he had remembered being sucked into the portal and everything prior but he wasn’t sure where the portal would take him. He looked up and saw a purple house like creature staring at him in shock, he looked around and saw Zan Partizane and his personal apprentice Kirby unconscious next to him.
”What are you?” the strange magenta creature in front of him asked
”I should be asking you that,” Meta Knight said as he stood up and dusted himself off he noticed Galaxia laying the ground, he picked it up and then put his cape around himself.
”Well I’m an alicorn and my name is Twilight Sparkle," The purple creature said
"the baby dragon up there is Spike and the unicorn up there is my pupil Starlight Glimmer”
“Hi…”Starlight said nervously.
“Well, then do you know where we’ve ended up?” Meta Knight asked intently
“you're currently in Equestria, where have you come from?” Twilight asked
̈"myself and my student here are from planet Popstar, and I don’t know where Zan came from we only just recently met her when she and her sisters came to Popstar in their search for the Jamba heart fragments.” Meta Knight explained
“well then why don’t you come inside it's really cold out tonight”
Twilight said as she shivered a little bit from the wind. Meta Knight lifted Kirby up and began to carry him to the castle, Starlight picked up Zan with her magic nervously as she carried her toward the castle with Spike in toe.
Meanwhile...
In the badlands, at Chrysalis NEW hive a strange pink and blue star crashed not to far away
“My queen,” one of her drones said to her
“a strange star-like object has fallen in the canyon near here, should we check it out?”
“Send a party of scouts to investigate, I’m not sure what has happened but we can't let it interfere with what I have planned,” Chrysalis said with a commanding tone as she notified the scouting party through the hive mind.
"There's something more to that star I can feel it" she said as she returned to her throne room.
Marx felt water crash along his face bringing his consciousness back,
“uhh, just five more minutes..”Marx said as he rubbed his eyes on his hat’s pom-poms.
"That's different," Marx said as he noticed his surroundings,
he got to his feet and spit out a new replacement ball to ride on
“where did that portal take us Driblee?” Marx said as he bounced up and down on his ball
“I don’t know, all I can assume is that we're in a desert of some kind”
Driblee replied as she looked around, they were in some sort of canyon with no sign of life around them, sand and rocks littered the place, thankfully it wasn't too hot yet but Marx knew that daylight would change that.
“It's late at night we might as well get some sleep we’ll find out where we’ve ended up tomorrow”
Driblee said with a watery yawn, and soon the two secret lovers drifted off into sleep.
“What do you think those are?” one of the scouts asked
“I don’t know if anything we might as well bring them before the queen, they don't seem that dangerous” Another scout replied
they slowly sneaked up on the two creatures.*snap*
“Did you hear that?” Marx asked Driblee
“I did, not sure what it was though, be on guard!” Dirblee replied as dark figures appeared behind them, everything looked fine, that is until he felt his consciousness fade in seconds, the changelings had hit the creatures over the back of the head causing them to blackout, I got a bad feeling about these creatures” one scout said as they picked up the two creatures and cocooned them, “we'll just have to see what the queen thinks of them” another scout said.
Magolor said as he and Francica were panicking at the Lor’s main control room trying their best to keep it flying.
”It looks like we're gonna crash on the shore of that island mountain, brace for impact!”
Magolor told Francisca as she spied the strange mountain, they closed their eyes as they were knocked unconscious, with Magolor praying the Lor hadn’t lost any major components as it had on popstar.
*The next morning*
“Mother, what do you think was that noise last night?”
Princess Skystar asked her mother, Queen Novo,
”It came from the shore of the mountain we better take a look lest it's dangerous”.
Together the two swam up to the surface to get a look at their possibly unwelcome guests.
“Whoa, I've never seen anything like this before”
Queen Novo said started at the strange thing, it was a ship like object a strange ethereal aura emanating from it, there were also many dents in its sides and a hole had been torn into the back.
”I’m gonna go check it out”
Skystar said as she reverted back to her original hippogriff form, as did Novo as they walked up to the strange thing, the door in front opened with a crackle of electricity and was twitching.
They made their way inside and peeked around,
”who do you think these are?”
Skystar said as she pointed out two beings, one with a blue and yellow cloak that sported a gear-like design, Novo sensed a good amount of dark magic emanating from him, the other was a blue being that resembled one of the figures Twilight had told them about during her time through the mirror, although it was missing the “legs” Twilight had described, it clutched an ax made of solid strangely unmelting ice, she also wore a hat with two purple transparent hearts attached to it, as well as a strange bat-like symbol on the top center of it.
Magolor awoke with a jump as he looked at the two startled eagle-like creatures before him, he then ran back to the control panel and ran a scan diagnostic on the Lor, thankfully almost all the components of the ship were still in place but the portal creating hyperdrive was missing, the mast was also missing along with forty-five out of the one hundred and twenty energy spheres the Lor had, Magolor then looked down at the floor sad, without that hyperdrive, the mast, and the energy spheres they weren't flying the Lor anytime soon much less getting back to Popstar anytime soon. Magolor then ran a location diagnostic of where the missing parts were located, he was given a map of the land they’d fallen into, Equestria, the hyperdrive according to the Lor, was malfunctioning a bit and had transported a Burning Leo, NESP, and Gim to where the hyper dive was, it had also teleported Whispy Woods from Popstar all the way here, the mast, on the other hand, was now in Whispy’s branch’s, he probably didn’t even know it was there or where he had been transported to.
"Who are you?”
Novo asked as the strange cloaked figure turned around,
“Greetings, I’m Magolor and that’s Francisca"
Magolor pointed to the still form lying on the floor, "hi, so what are you doing here and what was all that stuff that that weird screen said this thing lost?" Princess Skystar asked,
"that was once pieces of this ship that have broken off and away from the ship as we crashed here, we came through to here to find our friends who had been sucked into a portal to this place with me and Francisca here giving chase” Magolor explained
“but the portal tore at the Lor and made it unstable causing us to crash here, and without those parts, the Lor ain't gonna be flying anytime soon, much less have enough power to get us home."
"We could help!"
the yellow eagle-like figure said with a smile on her face,
"what even are you anyway?"Magolor asked with curiosity,
"We are hippogriffs, "Novo said,
"half pony half eagle, but mostly ever since, the storm king ́s defeat, we've been both sea ponies as well as hippogriffs" Novo said. Magolor's eyes narrowed with intrigue,
"interesting, so what are your names?”
Magolor asked with a happy expression in his eyes, "My name is Novo and his here is my daughter Skystar” Novo said
“well then sky star said you'd help me so then here's what I'll need to be retrieved”
Magolor brought up a map of Equestria, via the Lor and pointed to a few key areas,
“here is where the Hyperdrive and twenty of my energy spheres and a few of Kirby’s friends are”
he pointed to a desert not too far from mount eris,
“When you do find Kirby’s friends tell them that Magolor will help them get home and bring them back here"
“the mast along with another twenty of my lost energy spheres are here"
he pointed to a misty forest very close to mount eris,
"Whispy woods was transported here as well tell him that I’ll help him out once I get the Lor back in order"
Magolor said(he chuckled a bit at his pun).
"I’ll stay here and try my best to patch up the Lor and, do you have any water?̈"
Magolor asked, "here you go, Novo, said as she conjured up a water bubble and tossed it to Magolor who then proceeded to chuck it at Francisca's forehead, causing her to wake with a start "Uhh my head, where are we magolor? WOAH!̈ ̈ Francisca said as she backed away from the two eagle-like creatures that were in front of her Magolor laughed to himself and said to his new friends that he'd catch her up while they search and with that Queen Novo and Princess Skystar headed out on an adventure to collect and repair the Lor Star cutter, little did they know that this would be only the beginning of a great journey across Equestria and making of many new friends.
King Dedede awoke in the middle of the morning and found Bandana Dee, Susie, Adeline, and Ribbon just waking up. He looked around and found crowds of strange equine like creatures staring at them in fear or shock he did not know, they appeared to be in some sort of city with a massive castle in front of them.
”Who are you and why have you come here?”
One wearing armor said, Dedede guessed he was a guard of some kind. Dedede decided to be nice and put on his royal face he would have when talking with his subjects
”I am king Dedede of planet popstar and first off, WHAT THE HECK IS THIS PLACE!”
Dedede yelled with fear as he hopped on Bandana Dee’s back, Bandana Dee grounded under his king’s weight.
”Do we really have to do this every single time you get scared my king?”
Bandana Dee asked
”You are currently in the city of canterlot in the land of Equestria you will now be taken before the princesses for judgment on what to do with all of you,”
the guard said authority.
"Equestria?!"
Dedede said with shock
"oh.... wait! are there any major events happening soon?"
"Yes"
the guard said
"in fact, the summer sun festival is happening in just a few days"
"ok thank you"
Dedede said and then whispered to himself
"If I know them they're gonna attack at that time for food and when they do, it'll be time to reclaim what I lost so long ago"
”Wow now that's a lot of natural resources”
Susie said with aw as she looked over the balcony they were near and into the grassy valley beyond.
”Don't even think about it Suise just because you're insane father and star dream are no longer in control of your company doesn't mean you get to try and mechanize every planet you come across, besides we only just got here!”
Dedede said with frustration he didn't want to have a castle destroyed especially not castle Dedede again. They were then lead by the guards through the castle with many rooms of the equine creatures working tirelessly, the final room they passed was one of stained glass showing many pictures that Dedede, assumed were their history. One was of six of the creatures, shooting a rainbow at a dark form that Dedede felt a similar presence it had the same feel as Nightmare, Dedede cringed a little at the sight of it, another picture was of a white and black equine creatures whiling around a strange figure that looked like a goat mashed together with many other things, another was of a dragon looking creature holding a blue heart and a dark shadow being blasted away from it, the last one was of a pink and blue equine creatures in a heart formation and black figures flying away from them, the figures had black chitin and razor-sharp fangs and horns that looked like lightning, the largest one Dedede felt the same presence as Marx strangely.
”I wonder where that little jester is....”
Dedede thought. They walked into the next room, which happened to be the throne room of sorts, Dedede was proud this throne room was pretty close to his levels of royalty, therefore, Dedede would respect whoever was ruling here, but they were unexpected.The two royal equine creatures were exactly like the ones on the stained glass! One was black with stars flowing throw her hair which Kirby could take advantage of if he ever fought her, the other was the white one with rainbow-like hair unlike the glass, she also had a golden crown with an amethyst gem in the top.
”Greetings, strange creatures, be ye friend or foe”
Luna said she had been practicing her pirate accent thanks to Pinkie pie and she wanted to test it.
“I’m king Dedede of planet popstar this is my number one servant Andrew Dee but I just call him Bandanna Dee"
“Hi....”
Bandanna Dee scrunchy said under the weight of his king,
“This is Adeline the human"
Dedede said pointing to her as she was painting a picture of a picnic and soon spewed food for them to heal their wounds with
“and that is Ribbon the fairy”
he said pointing to Ribbon who was holding a crystal she had brought from ripple star as a good luck charm when she and Adeline set out for Popstar when the Jammba heart fragments rained.
“And finally this Suise who I still am not sure about after what her insane father did a few months back”
Dedede said cautiously as he pointed to the new President of the Haltman works co.
“and who may you two be and what may you be?”
Dedede asked with intrigue.
“You're in the land of pony kind known as Equestria, that is made up of three races, unicorns who have magic, pegasi who have wings, and earth ponies who have nothing really worthwhile besides their strength and determination,” Celestia said
“as for me and my sister and the rulers of ponyville and the crystal empire respectively, we are alicorns, a combination of all three races, me and my sister weren't really born Persie more so created, we were made by the creator of this world at the dawn of time known as a messenger of one above she referred to, we can also move the sun and moon to our will and it is our duty not only rule but also make sure to raise the sun and moon at the right times, and as for Cadence and Twilight, Cadence was born alicorn due to her parents being ones but since their passing, we have yet to know their origins, and as for Twilight, well she earned it and is currently the hero of all Equestria conquering things even me and luna fail to manage”
Celestia said in one long sentence, so much so Dedede rolled his eyes.
“How did you even get here?” asked Luna
“well we were just about to head back to popstar after quite the adventure, but out of nowhere a portal appeared and sucked us all up, not sure where the rest of us went but I’m willing to bet somewhere near here,” Suise said,
”as of now there are guest rooms down the hall to the left, you may stay here until we find your friends or find some way to send you all home,” Celestia said.
The group were lead by a few guards to their new rooms a few hours of royal duties later a vein bulged in Celestia ́s forehead,
”what are we going to do now Luna, first the Summer Sun Celebration is coming up in a few days, then the nobles are getting rilled up and now we have unintended visitors from another realm!” Celestia said with distress,
”Don't ́t worry about the summer sun celebration sister you ́ve been doing it for over a thousand years with me gone and you should know that I've got your back” Luna said to comfort her sister,
"still it doesn't meditate the stress” Celestia said.
”How about we host it here in Canterlot this year you could have enough time to see to our new visitors and take care of the nobles while I take care of the festival, besides we could just call pinkie to decorate” Luna said,
”I don't know how I made it so long without you Luna, you were always the more determined of us two remember when you couldn't even cast a bubble spell?” Celestia said with a loving smile on her face as she laughed with her sister, this was going to be a long few days ahead.
Kirby awoke tired and hungry as usual, but remembering what had happened he looked around to find himself in a bed in a strange room made of crystal, and Meta Knight was was awaiting him on the side of his bed.
"Up and at’em Kirby, good to see your finally awake” Meta Knight said in his usual mysterious tone,
“Poyo?”
Kirby said rubbing his eyes with his nubiles,
“were currently far away from popstar in on a planet known as equis, the locals call it Equestria from what i’ve heard” Meta Knight said.
”Poy Poyo?” Kirby said curiously
“yes the locals are quite nice it seems, we’ve currently been offered hospitality by the ruler of this village Twilight Sparkle, her pupil, and assistant”.
“Poyo?”
“yes Kirby i’m sure they have food somewhere here” Meta Knight sighed his student sometimes can never fit his standereds and mostly only craves for food and fun
“Poyo” Kirby said with concern looking at Zan Partizane on the bed beside him.
“Yes Zan will wake up sometime soon, the portal gave her several injures and she has yet to wake up unlike you.”
A strange lavender equine figure walked into the room,
“greetings Kirby it seems your awake Meta Knight has told me much of your adventures on this Popstar as you call it. Twilight said with attempted hospitality as she trotted into the room
“Poyo?”
Kirby said as he examined the strange equine creature in front of him. She had a purple coat, a swirling horn, two wings on her back, and a symbol of a purple star surrounded by six smaller white stars.
“Kirby, Twilight is a alicorn, basically a unicorn and a pegies combined and power multiplied by ten.”
Meta Knight exclaimed to Kirby,
“so Kirby i’m mainly gonna take a look inside you to find out how you can eat so much and yet not grow any bigger, and yes Meta Knight told of the Gourmet race you had with king Dedede”
“Poyo?” Kirby asked, Meta Knight
“yes Kirby you’ll get food after this as a reward, how about I try to find that strawberry shortcake you always enjoy?”
“Poyo!”
Kirby said happily as he hopped out of bed with excitement, strawberry shortcake was Kirby’s favorite food and he always wanted to get as much as he could even chasing one stolen by the Squeak squad to the edge of gamble galexy just for it.
“noted, you love cake”
Twilight said with her hairs going out of place she clearly didn’t understand the things Meta Knight had told her they made absolutely no sense, they can’t be true right? Twilight said in her head as Starlight came in and tied a rope around Twilight’s back two hooves, “all right say ah” Kirby opened his mouth and wanting to get this over with quickly began to inhale. Twilight was sucked in by the force ending up in Kirby’s mouth, she saw he had no teeth so he could definitely not chew anything thats for sure. Kirby swallows and Twilight ended up at Kirby’s stomach, and what she saw baffled her mind. A swirling vortex in the center of Kirby’s stomach, she tested it by lighting her horn and touching it, Kirby then was given a great sense of magic and pain! He brought her back up to his mouth and Twilight was surrounded by a yellow resien in the shape of a star, and Kirby shot her out and Starlight went twirling round in midair with the screaming in panic then they both hit the wall. And They watched on as a purple light surrounded Kirby he put his nubile up in the air and announced as the light receded, Kirby was now wearing a yellow and red jester hat with star and triangles on each side and Kirby now possessed a wand in one of his nublies
“Beam!” Kirby announced as he stood up triumphantly The group looked on in astonishment, besides Meta Knight who wrapped himself in his cloak to protect his eyes from the intense light.
“What just happened?” Spike asked, with his mouth stretching to the floor.
Meanwhile in the New badlands hive….
Marx slowly opened his eyes, he felt wet and… sticky? His eyes were filled with green light he didn’t know how he was breathing in a fluid like this, but somehow he was. He looked to his right and saw Dribble in a green thing similar to his, she was missing her crown of water, he looked down and found a strange black and green throne like thing carved out of stone. A strange black creature eyed him and was now flying up to him, it had two sharp fangs far bigger than the small fangs he had, and holes in its various equine body parts including its wings and hair, and a crooked horn on its head, it looked like some kind of bug.
“Now what might you be little pink thing?”
The creature asked as she hovered right next to… whatever the thing he was trapped in was,
“That’s none of your business!” Marx said defiantly
the black creature narrowed her eyes at him. Marx noticed Driblee was asleep in the same strange substance he was trapped in a pink mist was flowing away from her! He tried to open his sharp wings to slice his way out but the thick green stuff prevented him from spreading them far enough,
“you and her really have a bit of love for each other on the inside don’t you?” The creature said with a sneer grin,
“thankfully that fits my taste just fine”
the creature then opened her mouth and purple energy began to be sucked away from him, only now he realized it was him and Driblee’s love for each other! Marx panicked and puffed up his cheeks and fired his massive mouth lazer! Bursting the strange thing open and pushing him back against the wall from the sheer push force that the lazer carried.
“You’ll pay for that!” Marx yelled as he freed himself and put himself right side up. The creature was knocked back into the strange throne, the creature looked up at him astonished at his now fully spread psychedelic rainbow wings. Which was natural, he’d always surprise everyone he’d met since he’d gained them, Marx puffed up his cheeks and spit an ice bomb at the creature freezing her in ice, Marx then removed the ice from her ears so she could hear him.
“Ok whatever you are, questions, one, what are you?, two, where am I? three, what was that stuff that I was surrounded by, four, what is your name?, and five, where is my Jester ball and Driblee’s crown!” Marx demanded with a raised voice as he spit a small fireball that began melting the ice.
“Fine then you little freak"the creature said to him,
“for one i’m a changeling, two you are now in the land of equestria in my hive, three that was a cocoon it's what we use to capture enemies without them escaping and is also how we sleep, four my name is Chrysalis, Queen Chrysalis to you! And five that ball and crown are behind my throne"
Chrysalis brought out his ball and Driblee’s crown. Marx immediately jumped his ball, “there we go good to have this back” Marx said in relief as he hopped up and down on his ball as he normally would, he looked up and spread his wings, he flew up to Driblee and released his four crescent cutters, cutting down the cocoon that held Driblee, she slowly opened her eyes and yawned,
“Uhhh, Marx is that you?” Driblee said as she looked up at the armless puffball,
“ohh Driblee, so good to have you awake!”
Marx said happily has he hugged her with his hat, he’d usually use his hat’s pom poms in place of hands and arms,
“where are we?” Dribble asked while whipping the slime off her necklace
“and where my crown?”
“don’t worry, it’s right here” Marx said as he brought it over and placed it back on Driblee’s head
“I shall explain where we are since I only just found out to!” Marx said concernedly.
“What is that?” Driblee said with curiosity pointing with her fin toward Chrysalis and the remaining melting ice shards.
“That's Chrysalis, I only just met her when i hit her with my lazer when I tried to get out of that” Marx said as taped his feet off and on his jester ball as usual,
“for now I'm gonna try to locate where are friends are so we can get home”
Marx said as he channeled his power to his mind, he was then given a blury and dreamy vision of Dedede in a strangely luxurious room with Susie fixing her robobot in the corner bandanna dee helping his king understand some the words "was he taught how to read?" Marx thought. He also saw Adeline and ribbon paining pictures on a canvas in another corner of the room,
"I don't know about you Andrew but this Canterlot place is giving me nostalgia and sadness for some reason"
Dedede said while his head hang low tword the book, he may even have shed a tear but the vision was to blury for Marx to confirm it.
"Apparently their in a place called Canterlot"
Marx said as he exited his trance,
"if you want us gone then just get us to them and we'll be out of your hair" he asked Chrysalis, a wicked grin came over her face
"give me a day or two and i'll work something out" she said
"for now you two can sleep in the lowest balcony room don't touch anything!" Chrysalis said commandingly
a few Changeling guards began to lead them to their tempory room.
The hive was depressing as they made their way down the walls seemed to made from the changeling's own chitin, green globs of slime littered the place strangely acting as a lit source of all things they soon came to the center of the hive a large vertical pit shaft that ran up and down the hive Driblee hopped on Marx and they and their two escorts soon reached the bottom floor before they headed up to their room a floor above a few minutes later. The reason they take a bit of time at the bottom was because they found a field of graves all the words were in a strange language that he and Driblee could not read, they soon found them selves in their new room. The changelings left them alone as they settled in, it was he walked out to the balcony leaving his ball in the room and checked the now blue sky, it was burning out he had to not be out that long to avoid a sun burn around room Marx guessed from where the sun was in the sky
"is the sun and moon sentient like Popstar's sun and moon or are they just.... there" Marx thought to himself.
Dark Meta Knight snapped open his eyes as he felt intense cold hit his scared mask, he looked up and saw his partner in crime Daroach, his gang of thieves the squeak squad, and Flamberge lying face down or on their sides in the snow. He picked up mirror galaxia and walked over to them and tried to wake them up, they came to and Flamberge lit her hair on fire so serve as a way to keep from freezing.
“Who wants to go find out where we are?” Dark Meta Knight asked
Daroach and the squeaks raised their paws and claws,
“all right I see some kind of castle in the distance go check the place out and report back” Dark Meta Knight said
“you got it!”
Daroach agreed as he and the squeaks ran throw the snowy tundra towards the castle, Dark Meta Knight thought it shimmered like crystal, or a mirror… Oh how he missed the mirror world, the darkness the despair that he had made possible to avenge his master, even after the death of his master he still corrupted another, a strange purple spider like creature who liked to gaze into the dimension mirror, she wished for eternal beauty and he granted her wish using his hatred to slowly decrease her sanity to near zero. Years later he would fight alongside her who now was returned to her normal form, and had a small duel with her and her best friend before Kirby stepped in and called truce. As he reminisces about his past he felt a strange familiarity not to far from him and Flamberge, he ran off towards the familiar sense with a confused Flamberge giving chase.
“What are you doing do you want to turn into an ice block!”
Flamberge demanded as she floated after him, he found were the sense was coming from a hole in the ground with bright sun like bars on top, it looked like a prison of some kind. He gazed in and was met with a dark voice,
“what are you, and why have come to my pit of despair?” the voice said
“your presence felt very similar to an old friend of mine” Dark Meta Knight said
“what might you be?” the voice answered and a pair of blood red, strangely purple smoking eyes peered out at him.
“what are you then!”
Dark Meta Knight answered back rudely, “a living shadow, an over sized bug, an amalgamation of different species fuzzed together, or merely shards of a mirror?”
“I am the manifestation of hate, pain, and suffering and my name is Sombra, once King Sombra until I was bucked off my throne!”
"not many have the courage to be so defiant about things like that I once worked fore one who's species was exactly that" Dark Meta Knight responded "and it turned out horrible, so how could you be any different?"
*Meanwhile in an alley in the Crystal empire*
Daroach and the Squeaks watched the strange equine creatures move about, some were standing at the doorway to the castle with armour, most were chatting, and some were heading over to a marketplace of some kind. They shrouded themselves in shadow and blinked past the walkway in front of them, following the strange creature to what he and the Squeaks assumed were a market place. A sneer grin came over Daroach’s face
"alright, you know the drill when something looks good we take regardless if its ours and we only don't if its our friends" he told the Squeaks the memo, it was time to do what they do best thievery. After about Twenty whole minutes of snatching items out from under the creature’s noses they decided to bail for now before the creatures get suspicious, on the way Daroach noticed a light he looked under the castle and saw it, a bright blue shimmering heart made of pure crystal. He immediately took interest in it and told the squeaks to leave saying that he’ll meet up with them on the city's outskirts, Daroach then made himself completely invisible and tiptoed up to the spire in was placed upon, there we so many guards around the spire taking the heart without being noticed would be impossible. He took some time to think and soon came up with a sneaky plan one he liked using, misdirection he ran over to a dark alleyway and lit one of his famous fire bombs to draw the guards away, he tiptoed back to the spire and waited. Not long after, the bomb exploded sending a pillar of fire into the air, the guards immediately rushed over to check it out as Daroach undid his invisibility so that he could see what he was doing as to not make a mistake. He came up to the glorious crystal heart and tucked it into a portable chest he brought along, the chest also contained a refrigerated piece of strawberry shortcake they’d stolen from Kirby years ago ”I probably should eat it should've had Storow eat it a long time ago" Daroch thought”, a held down jack in the box of the entity that had possessed him a few days after he stolen Kirby ́s cake years earlier as well, and lots of jewels and treasure, none of the guards ever saw him. At least that's what he expected, but once Daroch closed the chest one of the guards snapped his attention to the spire and saw him. His cover was blown! He quickly picked up the chest and pulled out his famous septor, the almighty Triple Star, and tossed a few small stars at the guard before he en clocked himself and disappeared in a flash of red and claw marks, ”We need to warn the princess” the guard alerted to his fellow comrades”.

Princess Skystar looked at the map had provided them with, it showed that the first piece along with several of Kirby’s friends were here, she also wondered who this Kirby was, she’d have to ask Magolor when they go back to Mount Eris. Her and her mother followed the map Magolor gave them to a strange town, Twilight had told her about this place once.
“Mother, I say we seek out Capper to get an idea of where Magolor’s lost stuff is” the young hippogrif princess asked her mother
“Always one steep ahead aren't you"
Queen Novo said with a giggle and smirk
“well, what are we waiting for let's go!”
Skystar said excitedly, they then made their way into town and soon found Capper humming a tune to himself in an alleyway.
“Well well well, didn’t expect to see you two anytime soon”
Capper said with his usual cocky grin,
“quite a surprise to find you back so soon what can I do for you today?”
“We were looking for a strange machine, small creatures, and about twenty gears in spheres that were said to be here by our new friend,” Novo said.
“Oh those, there in the market, some chump found them in the desert sands and put those little creatures in a cage, wants to sell them off for a hefty profit”
"do you think you can get them out of there?" Skystar asked
“sure I can, may take a bit of elbow grease but its nothing to worry that much about" Capper answered as he stretched his hands
"It's always such a pleasure to help”.
Capper then snuck up hid under the market booth, which had a burning leo, nesp, and gim locked in small cages, and the hyperdrive was also on the ground behind the booth along with the twenty energy spheres. Capper snuck up behind and scratched open the cages, “come on i’ll get you out of here” Capper whispered the three confused but thankful popstarians helped Capper lift the hyperdrive and the energy spheres keeping to the shadows as they made their way back to Novo and Skystar. Capper dived back into the alley just barley holding the large machine in his paws up, “feuf” Capper sighed in relief as he wiped a bit of sweat off his forehead.
“Alright before we go I want to go get Tempest she knows quite a bit about magic so maybe she can help your friend” Capper whispered.
Capper returned a while later with Tempest as she liked to be called, and that made sense to her being called Fizzlepop Berrytwist constantly it also makes her cringe a bit as well.
”It's been quite a while” Tempest smiled as she looks around at her recently made friends
”so, show me what this friend of yours is I'm not sure if I can figure out what he is but can say it till I see it” Tempest said. They then carefully snuck their way out of Kludge town and began to make the trip back to mount eris, with their newly made friends and friends of the past in toe.
Sectonia slowly opened her eyes as light filed them once again, she saw her love Tranza lying face down in stone. She pushed herself to her floating position with her six hands as she took a look around, they weren't anywhere near Popstar it looked like. They seemed to be in the ruins of some kind of grand structure, a dark forest surrounded the structure on all sides most of the structure littered with overgrowth. She floated over to Tranza and shook him until he came to,
“where are we?” Taranza asked,
“we seem to be in an overgrown ruin of some kind”
she said back to him. She flew up to the highest point of the structure and looked around for any signs of civilization, she saw a village in the distance, no one else besides her and Taranza could see through such a fog that surrounded the forest. The village seemed to have a castle as well,
“I see a village and castle that isn’t broken, I say we head there”
she told Taranza,
“all right let's go this forest around us is giving me the creeps” Taranza said nodding a distressed look on his face.
They ascended above the clouds of fog and started to fly in the general direction of the village,
“what if the locals there are evil or made up of creatures that don’t like us?” Taranza said nervously,
“well if Kirby and the others were transported here via that portal than that means that their at the very least somewhere in this world" Sectonia said to try and heighten his spirits.
They descended upon the entrance to the forest and started to make their way towards the strange town.
"Let's hope the locals are friendly as you said” Taranza said as they landed and saw a massive town of equine creatures now staring at them with scared and angry faces
“I got a bad feeling about this….” Sectonia whispered
Twilight stared at Kirby in shock how had he changed color? How did he have a galaxy for a stomach? How did he summon a jester hat and a wand out of thin air!
“What just happened?” Spike asked
“that is one of the special puffball traits, it is unknown to me why each puffball has some kind of ability” Meta Knight sighed
“but I digress, this is Kirby's special trait, depending on what he gets in his stomach he can take the special trait the thing has and copy it, for the most part.”
“wait” Starlight asked “so since Twilight was in there does that mean he has magic now?”
“No instead Twilight gave him an ability that he does magic with this one is known, as Kirby said Beam” Meta Knight clarified
“what do beams have to do with magic?” Spike asked
“he now has an ability that can do many things that use magic like swing a whip magic of energy, drop a barrage of energy balls in a downward motion, suspend himself in midair, and fire off channeled charge shots.” Meta knight clarified loud yells and insults snapped them out of the confusion and aww of Kirby’s ability.
“Uhhh there's another aggressive argument in ponyville again isn’t there” Twilight said with an annoyed face held low
“probably” Spike said
“well come on everypony i’ll give you and Kirby a tour of town if you want after I work things out” Twilight told Meta Knight.
But what they found made him gasp, Sectonia and Tranza were being attacked and yelled at by the residents of Ponyville! Meta Knight and Kirby sprung into action jumping in front of the angry crowd of ponies
“Poyo!” Kirby said with a defiant look on his face
“whatever you all are your going back to the everfree you monsters!” one of them said.
Twilight attempted to calm them down but they refused, most looked to be visiting nobles from Canterlot of course Diamond Tiara and Filthy Rich were there to, looks like he had no choice. Meta Knight grew his cape to gargantuan size and engulfed them under it
“KNOW MY POWER!” he echoed.
He then launched a horizontal lighting bolt through his capes pitch black stunning them
“looks like me, Kirby, and Zan weren't the only ones near here” Meta Knight said
“Didn’t expect to be attacked by angry equine creatures either” Sectonia said with worry
“Twilight, Starlight, Spike meet two of our friends Tranza and Sectonia the spiders” Meta Knight said
“Hi” Sectonia said nervously waving a couple of her hands.
Twilight's eyes twitched again
"HOW DID YOU DO THAT!" Twilight yelled her mane falling out of place
“fine, I guess I have more to give the tour to then” Twilight sighed
“seems like it” Starlight said.
Kirby then released his ability via a small star with an energy ball symbol on it, it bounced around on the ground for a bit before disappearing.
“Poyo” Kirby said happily
“then I guess we'll start here then” Twilight said with disappointment in her tone of voice. Starlight knew that Twilight must be frustrated in those ponies, especially after she taught them to be open with friendship over the years, Starlight could only hope that things would cool down soon.
Fluttershy awoke and made her animal friends breakfast and angel bunny was impatient for it as usual. It seemed like another normal day with hopefully no evilness and no scary adventures, things were good, that is when she was washing the dishes, she noticed a strange hole in her front yard just in front of the everfree forest.
“Where did that come from? hopefully mr bear hasn’t been digging holes again" Fluttershy said as she trotted out towards it and peered in
she saw the most adorable thing she ever saw a giant hamster, owl, fish, and a strange blue thing. She thought about how they could have ended up there with scary thoughts coming in to her head and with a nervous look on her face as she approached the hamster first and tickle him the belly, all the hamsters she knew liked to have their tummies tickled and this one was no acceptation. The hamster squealed in delight as it stirred, stood up and tapped the owl and fish on the head with one of his paws, the owl and fish stirred awake. Fluttershy couldn’t take it anymore they were just to adorable! She ran up and hugged to giant hamster, his cheeks glowed a bright shade of red, he then nodded to the fish and owl and they took out stickers with names?
“How did they do that?” Fluttershy thought
each one put up their signs with names on each. The fish held one on top of its fins that said Kine, the owl held one on its wing that said Coo, and the hamster held one in its paws that said Rick, the blue blob used its tongue to hold up a sticker that said Gooey, Fluttershy invited the creatures to her cottage she’d have to ask Twilight about this sometime soon. Fluttershy assumed the names on the signs must have been their names, she first gave Rick and Coo a bath and put a few bandages on the cuts they had on them. Kine surprisingly had not sustained any injuries, so she just put him in the fish tank she had on one her small tables, she was surprised Kine could survive outside of water for so long, did he have the lungs that gave creatures the ability to breathe air? Gooey on the other hoof had cuts and bruises all over his body with a great gash cut into his left cheek, she used some gaws to patch the gash up it wasn't guaranteed to work well considering Gooey’s round, flexible, almost like octopus body but it would at least do it's job.
“Dose gooey even have bones?” Fluttershy asked herself in her head
she then remembered what insides look like
“I guess it best not to know'' she told herself
she then put on a few bandages on the other scars and cuts
“how did you all get into so much trouble?” Fluttershy asked Gooey
Gooey simply licked her face with his ridiculously long tongue.
“Where did you even come from?” Fluttershy asked Rick
the hamster simply tilted his head like a confused cat
“hmm maybe Twilight will know” Fluttershy said before beginning to go to her desk to write a letter to Twilight about the strange creatures, angel bunny on the other hand wasn’t taking the new visitors very well, he had been very vigilant about the four and continued to try and say something she couldn’t quite make out, although from what she knew he probably was mad that she hadn't cooked up some breakfast
"alright then angel i'll get on it right away" she said with a kind smile
Kirby looked around at the town it was quite colorful multiple friendly ponies stared at them, some smiled, they came up to a place full of small carts with different types of food, a glint of light appeared in Kirby’s eyes as he looked at the food, he hadn’t eaten in days.
”What are those?” an orange colored pony said
she had three apples as her cutie mark as Twilight had clarified before they began the tour
“Those are a few strange beings that fell from a portal that appeared a few days ago” Twilight said
“this is Applejack one of my friends” Twilight said with a smile
”Hi!” Kirby said as he raised a nubile into the air and smiled
“greetings” Meta Knight said
he had wrapped himself in his cape again as usual with only his eyes being visible.
“So what are you gonna do with the critters?” Applejack said
as she noticed Tranza and Sectonia in the back attempting to stay in the back of the group
“I'm taking them on a tour of ponyville, you want to come along?” Twilight asked
“wish I could” Applejack said “but i´ve gotta pack up and take this harvests profits back to the farm”
”I'll meet you at the castle” Applejack said as she trotted back to start packing.
“See ya” Twilight said as the group began to continue
they came upon a large building that looked like a paradise to Kirby. It was made of sweats, they decorated the outside and smells just as good as they looked, Kirby inhaled a lollipop but it tasted different, it felt much harder than any lollipop he had ever had, he swallowed only to gain an unexpected ability.
“Stone!” Kirby squealed as he raised his nubile into the air once again
he now wore a brown hat made of rock forming a sharp spear like point at either side of the hat.
“Kirby you know all those aren't real candy their just for decoration” Meta Knight said.
“Poyo” Kirby said sadly as he held his head down
“cheer up Kirby, the master of generally stuff i’ve never figured out and making sweats and parties is in there and I'm sure she’ll have something for you” Twilight said
“Poyo!” Kirby said as hopped up and down a few times while smiling
they then entered the place, he then shed the stone ability turning it into a star that slowly bouced away before disappearing the place had many tables and the lights were off,
“SURPRISE!” a pink pony yelled as the lights turned on
streamers were all over the ceiling, a few balloons were floating in midair, and confetti was raining down, and a pink pony in a party hat was looking at them with an everlasting smile on her face.
“Hi i’m Pinkie pie!” the pink pony said with pure laughter in her voice “Twilight who are theses little guys?” Pinkie asked as she hopped up and down on all four hooves on the spot
“This is Kirby” Twilight said
“poyo!” Kirby said with a smile as he happily jumped up and down happy with the surprise party,
“That’s Meta Knight” Twilight continued
“I must say that surprise was uncalled for” Meta Knight said
“none of us are really sure about why pinkie does what she does so i’ve learned just to go along with” Twilight whispered to Meta Knight
“and finally this is Tranza and Secontia” Twilight finished the two spiders peeked out from behind the group “hi” Tranza said waving a few hands.
“So why did you bring them here are wanting to give them a welcome to ponyville party now because it’ll take me a few minutes to set up” Pinkie said
“No I'm not here for that Pinkie” Twilight sighed “I'm giving them a tour of ponyville and I wanted to show them sugarcube corner”
the front door opened and a cyan pegeses entered.
“Alright Pinkie i’ll take.. Wha?!”
the cyan pegasus said as she noticed him and his friends
“what the heck are you?” the pegasus said as she took a look over him
“that’s Kirby” Twilight said
“Poyo” Kirby said with a smile and wave.
“So what are you up to with them?” Rainbow Dash asked
“I'm giving them a tour of Ponyville” Twilight said with a bit of annoyance in her voice
“alright there’s one place left I want to show you guys” Twilight said as they began to walk and Rainbow hovered to Fluttershy’s cottage.
While they approached the house Tranza took the time to dust himself off while Twilight knocked on the door, Fluttershy soon answered
“hello Twilight, didn’t expect to see you today” Fluttershy said timidly
“well Fluttershy i’m giving a tour of Ponyville to our newcomers and I wanted to show them your place” Twilight said.
“Interesting” Fluttershy said ‘I actually have a few strange things that crashed here a few days ago to show you” Fluttershy said as she lead the group inside
Kirby looked around there was a couch small tables lots of yellow painted walls and on the oval shaped rug in the middle of the room he saw four familier faces.
“POYO!” Kirby yelled excitedly a giant loving smile on his face as he ran into Rick’s paws giving him a hug, the hamster smiled and snuggled close to him.
“Hoo!” Coo said
a smile stretching over his beak as he put a wing around Kirby
“goo goo!” said Gooey
he jumped up and licked Kirby’s face like a dog licking its owner when they come home after a long day, Kine poked his head up from the fish tank on the table and smiled.
“Well whatever those things are, they sure know Kirby” Twilight said.
“Those are some of Kirby’s most trusted friends he’s known for a very long time” Meta Knight said “Rick the Hamster, Kine the Fish, Coo the Owl, and Gooey the uhhh, well we don’t speak of that nor his heritage”
“what's so bad about where he came from?” Fluttershy said “he’s doesn't seem to bad why would it even matter?”
Gooey put his tongue back in his mouth and his smile dimmed.
“Goo goo…” Gooey said with sadness and disappointment in his voice
Kirby looked up and saw Twilight looking out one of the windows only now he realized they'd been out of the castle for a long time and the sun had already set.
“I think it’s time to go back to the castle” Twilight said
“Poyo?” Kirby asked
Meta Knight translated it for Twilight
“he wants to know if he can bring his friends to the castle as well” Meta Knight translated
"fine then as long as they don’t get crazy” Twilight said
she knew the craziness that came with watching pets but these four seemed different, as if they were as self aware to what was happening around them as anypony else.
Fluttershy can you write a letter to Rarity and Sweetie belle about this?” Twilight asked “sure” the timid pegasus said they walked out the door and into the cold wind and black sky of the night. Through the cold winds Kirby and the group walked back to the castle with his four friends in toe, as they passed the town square Kirby began to wonder what had become of his best friend.
“Poyo” Kirby asked Meta Knight a worried look on his face
“I'm sure Marx is somewhere safe and even if he isn’t he can take care of himself” Meta Knight said to comfort his apprentice “lets just hope someone is there with him to keep him from releasing his corrupted soul”.
They soon arrived back at Twilight's castle
“you all can sleep in the guest room” Twilight said they nodded and headed upstairs
“Spike!” Twilight called
“yeah” Spike said poking his head out from behind the corner
“take a letter” Twilight said
“sure thing” Spike answered pulling out a paper and quill.
“Dear Princess Celestia, I have recently discovered and befriended many strange creatures from some far off land called Popstar, Multiple stars came out of the portal im sure we both saw that night a few days ago, one of them is of one of the strangest of the creatures I've ever encountered, a round pink blob called Kirby. He has shown to powers beyond my comprehension including to copy the ability of whatever he can eat but does not possess the ability to speak clearly due to his young age nor have any teeth, thankfully his mentor Meta Knight is able to speak Equestrian and has explained the situation they are in, he also says that Kirby is a baby but judging from Meta Knight’s height seems to be very tall for his age. I think you might be able to help them somehow. Also Ponyville did receive news this moring that this year’s Summer Sun Festival will be held in Canterlot this year tomorrow I wish to know why. Marx: well during the two-week long journey to the jammbandra base me and Driblee eventually fell in love after being together since we met each other at donut dome cave just above her kingdom, and now we're just looking to find our friends and do what's right

Meem: No this story follows the story of the games although I will be throwing a few little nods to the anime throughout the story

Meem: You betcha, only three of the songs will be used and I will be mixing the lyrics up to make it better fit the battle going on at that time and it will also give a brief outline of what happened to Dedede to make being in Equestria have such an emotional impact on him, although I'm a bit worried about copy wright...

Marx: Normally if I didn’t have any magic power it’d hurt, a lot, like nothing else you could ever feel in your wildest dreams. But now thanks to the meditation lessons I’ve been able to mostly control my corrupted soul, sometimes it rises up to the surface but I can pull back if I have enough help, which is why I’m taking meditation lessons with Driblee and Meta Knight. It helps me keep it in check, but if I’m damaged by enough dark magic it will immediately rise up and I’ll need others to smack it up hard so that I can return to normal and regain control over myself, although an upside to this is that when it does rise up it grants a very big power boost allowing it to become stronger and destroy almost everything in its path.

Meem: I’ve been busy, I’ve got a lot on my plate I’ve got do like, one hundred percent Deltarune, Battle a few more of the master trainers and finally Red himself in Pokemon Let’s go, wait for Kirby Squeak Squad and Kirby Super Star Ultra to arrive in the mail so I can play them on my 3ds and not an emulator, ect and because of that my rate of posting chapters is gonna decrease but don’t worry this story ain’t gonna be canceled it’s just gonna be coming out at a slower rate so don’t worry.

Driblee looked around the room they were given to sleep in until tomorrow, it had black chitin like floors and see-through slime curtains that separated her from the balcony, it was passable but still, nothing compared to the room she had back in her castle in the center of the underground lake kingdom back in Dreamland. Marx was humming a peaceful song to the twinkle of the stars while doing short hops to the beat on his ball.
“You want to meditate for a bit?” she asked Marx
Sure why not” Marx said, Marx sat down and she recoiled her tail to sitting position, they took a few deep inhales and exhales before becoming completely silent, their magic power grew a bit. She decided to take a look at Marx’s inner soul and see how it’s doing, she felt her consciousness leave her before taking a look, it looked the same as always the devilish and chaotic aura around it was still there, and its appearance was unchanged too. The larger fangs, the blood-red wings, the more purple colors making up them, the crossed eyed face, the golden necklace around him, the puffs in place of his hat’s pom-poms, and the ever hanging out tongue that was dripping blood onto the weird moving hexagonal floor under them, and the distance looked like colored explosions.
“What do you want?” it asked
“I was going to check up on you” she told it
“Do you still remember that I can do anything?” it said “well that is except controlling the stupid body I was cursed into to do anything in the outside world at all”
Driblee sighed "yes of course I remember that" "when I first came to you and had to fight you, you screamed that same thing the entire time along with the word chaos".
"Exactly" it said
she sighed again as she began to leave back to her own body, but just before she did she heard the soul say one last thing
"at some point, you know I'll break free again, and when that happens you'll be helpless and by yourself" "nothing can stop the inevitable chaos that awaits you so don't waste your precious time talking to me next time"
“Marx what can we do now?” Driblee said “Chrysalis said she’ll help us get to that Canterlot place but who knows how long it will take to find the others if their not there, with an entirely new world to explore from top to bottom just to find them all it could take ages, and I'm scared of what could possibly happen to them out there”
“Don’t worry sweetheart, we’ll find them I'm sure of it?” Marx said to lift Driblee’s spirts “and besides, we both know that Kirby can handle himself regardless”
“So what're your opinions on the changelings?” Marx asked
“I don’t trust them, they look like bugs, sleep in weird green things, and feeds on the love from others, that is just a recipe for disaster in my opinion,” Driblee said with a nervous tone to her voice as she fidgeted with her pearl necklace
“it’s probably even a type of recipe that Kawasaki would not appreciate” Marx joked before chuckling.
“I’m going to go look at the stars,” Driblee said as she turned toward the balcony
she pushed aside the slimy curtains and gazed up at the star-filled sky, on the horizon far far far away even with her enhanced eyesight she could just barely make out the outline of Popstar. All the planets around it looked in good condition too, Ripple star was still happy, the sun and moon of popstar were still doing their cycles and Popstar’s rings shone brightly, the Jambastion was also gone thanks to Zan Partizanee destroying the core in a last-ditch effort to destroy them. Driblee sighed, she missed her kingdom and her subjects
“they must be getting so worried” Driblee thought to herself and in her homesickness, she began to feel different, she didn’t feel in control of herself she couldn’t even speak! She saw herself raising her fins high in the air...
Driblee’s eyes began to glow a dark green, Marx hopped off his ball and ran over Driblee he looked into the distance and extended his eyesight with his magic and saw a massive wave forming and growing higher!
“Driblee what are you doing!” Marx yelled in distress, Driblee didn’t move or even pay any attention to him
“Snap out of it!” he yelled as he kicked her in the cheek. Driblee’s eyes stopped glowing and returned to their normal blue state as she slammed against the small balcony wall
“what did just I do?!” Driblee asked in panic.
“You completely lost it once you were out here a few minutes, your eyes started glowing green and you were raising a giant wave of water!” Marx explained “at least it should be down by now, I snapped you out of it by kicking you in the cheek” “sorry for that by the way” Marx apologized
“it's ok, I don’t know what came over me,” Driblee said with an embarrassed look on her face, Marx almost saw her blush a bit.
“let's just get to sleep before whatever came over you comes back,” Marx said
they then walked/slithered back into their room with the two putting their heads to rest on Marx’s ball, and soon they drifted off into the deepness of sleep.
Meanwhile just outside Marx and Driblee’s room…
“Blast!” Chrysalis said to herself as she began to retreat back to her chambers “those two are far more resilient to mind control magic than I thought” Chrysalis said with disgust in her voice “how else to get a hold of their love? Hmmm”.
Dark Meta Knight was conflicted, on the one hand, he could get a new master to terrorize and conquer worlds like he and his old Master Dark Mind always wanted to, but on the other if he did he wouldn’t be able to return to the Mirror World.
“What do you think about Sombra Flamberge?” he asked
“I don’t like that creepy thing!” Flamberge said in her usual aggressive fiery tone “he said he would help us if we helped him get back his kingdom so I’m not sure what else we should do”.
They reached back where they started as they saw five silhouettes coming towards them, the Squeaks had returned, Dark Meta Knight ran through the blazing cold to meet them and saw that they had a lot of extra things to carry.
“What happened?” Dark Meta Knight asked his partner
“We found out what the place is and did some sneaking around,” said Daroach with a sigh breath as helped Storrow set down another chest
“what is it known as?” Dark Meta Knight asked.
“It's called the crystal empire, its inhabitants are very equine and there are far more guards than I expected around the caste,” Daroach said
“Hmmm, where did you get all this stuff?” Dark meta knight asked while glancing at Doc un tractor beaming some extra chests from his ufo
“we may or may not have stolen a cheese-ton of goods from the marketplace and I also stole a heart that's was on a spire in the center of the city under the castle,” Daroach said with a nervous look
“WHAT!! you stole from them and took something that could possibly be special to them!” Flamberge yelled Storro nodded while he chewed an apple.
“This is intriguing, show me this heart that they seem to hold so dear?” Dark Meta Knight asked
Darroch opened the chest he carried revealing a shining light blue heat made of pure crystal, the amount of magic power he sensed it carried was massive almost enough to rival his counterpart’s Galaxia at full power. Meta Knight, the one who’s sword matched his and the power it carried was more than enough to be the strongest out of the group his counterpart had ventured with to stop a creature made of societal limits and harsh rule, Tabuu. Or at least that's what he heard happened when the third gathering of the great SMASH tournament happened.
“I wonder what Sombra will think of that?” Dark Meta Knight thought as he explained what he and Flamberge had found
“should we show that heart to him?” he asked Flamberge “might as well, we're not even sure what that thing does,” Flamberge said.
He and Flamberge lead Daroach and the squeaks back to Sombra, they found him in the crack of ice again, and through the hole again he peered out at them and his smoky eyes appeared
“so soon to return strange masked one?”Sombra asked, “have you considered my offer?”
“We have found something that we think you may give us clarification on,” Dark Meta Knight said
Daroach handed him the heart and he showed it to Sombra
“ahhhh!” Sombra said in surprise as his eyes widened Dark Meta Knight assumed he took a step back.
“That is the weapon those pitiful sisters used to seal me with,” Sombra said with a disgusted venom sound to his words
“Could we use it to free you possibly?” Dark Meta Knight said with curiosity.
“Yes, but I don’t know how to use it,” Sombra said
“well jamblast it all!” Flamberge yelled “if you can’t use it, just slam it into something and hope it works!” she grabbed the crystal heart from me and chucked it at the crack in the ice, it stuck in and gittered like an arrow.
“I bet you a bite of strawberry shortcake that nothing happens,” Daroach said with pride
“I'll take that bet!” said Flamberge
Suddenly the heart began to glow and the crack widened substantially and Sombra began to climb out, what emerged was a form Dark Meta Knight had guessed Sombra would look like after he had talked to Darroch about this place's inhabitants. The form was equine and Dark, silver amour was on the front of his hooves, a purple and red cape blustered in the icy wind, pure darkness covered his stomach strangely concealing something most likely, and a blood-red spike-like horn protruding from his forehead. Flamberge motioned with her floating hand for Daroach to pay up “eh eh” she said
“uhhh fine,” Darroch said in defeat while frowning
he handed over the piece of strawberry shortcake for Flamberge to take a bite
“mmmm tasty!” Flamberge said as she chewed the bite of cake she’d taken.
Daroach put the rest of the cake back in the refrigerated diamond chest as Dark Meta Knight walked forward to Sombra and… bowed to him?
“Like my old master, your dark power far exceeds mine” Dark Meta Knight said “I pledge my allegiance to you,” he said as Sombra eyed him surprised and confused.
“I didn’t expect you to wish for such power so soon masked one” Sombra said “but in the current state I’m in I’ll make an exception”.
“Thank you,” Dark Meta Knight said, “my last master was defeated by one I begrudgingly worked with for a time” “I hope you will not suffer a similar fate”.
“Shall we begin my plan then?” Sombra asked
“yes master” Dark Meta Knight replied
“now that we have the crystal heart things should be much easier,” Sombra said.
They began to trudge through the snow towards the crystal empire, while his new apprentice wasn’t looking he took the time to corrupt flamberge and the squeaks before turning forward, and on the outskirts of the empire Dark Meta Knight whispered
“if its an empire you want, then it an empire you will get master!”
he charged forward mirror Galaxia drawn, his scar turned red as it began to bleed as if it had just been cut, blood running down the front of his mask, his wingspan opened up as he took to the skies, and his tattered cape floated perpetually in the snowstorm, Darkness swept over the crystal empire that day.
“uhhhhhh” Magolor yawned “just five more minutes to sleep in...”
*beep!* the alarm clock rang again
“uhhh fine I’ll get up,” Magolor said with fatigue as he smacked his alarm clock on the snooze button.
Magolor had had a long night, it had taken him a while to explain what had happened so far to Francisca then by sunset Novo and Skystar got back with a few strange new faces along with everything he sent them off to find! Magolor had let them along with the Burning Leo, Gim, and NESP sleep in the crew quarters under the main control room of the Lor along with Francisca, but now that they found all the energy spheres in that area along with the main component, the hyperdrive. The Lor could now create portals but without the mast back flying the Lor was a lost cause, they’d also have to find every last energy sphere before they leave for Popstar since they could possibly attract sphere doomers. Magolor put his nightcap on his nightstand and headed out of his quarters to the main control room/lobby and to his surprise Nesp, Burning Leo, Gim and Francisca were already up, Novo and Skystar were probably are still sleeping back in their kingdom under and on top of the mountain and the new faces Magolor had seen last night weren’t up either.
“Morning Yo!” Gim said
“Morning everyone,” Magolor said happily
“How late did you stay up?” Burning Leo asked concerned “you look tired”.
“How about we find out?” NESP said as began to channel his psychic energy “PK Memory!” he announced, after a few seconds of looking through Magolor’s memories NESP let go
“you really stayed up all night trying to fix the Lor?” NESP said.
“Yup you’ll never guess what I saw while doing so though NESP your not allowed because you can easily read my mind and memory”
“a giant radical robot!” Gim said
“nope,” Magolor said.
“A shooting star?” Burning Leo guessed
“no,” Magolor said.
“A mater most dark?” Francisca guessed
“wrong again, it was a giant wave almost as tall as the mountain!” Magolor said, “it raised all the way past the clouds! Then fell back down anticlimactically, was one hell of a splash though”
“why would there be a giant wave randomly?” Francisca asked
“beats me,” Magolor said.
Magolor looked toward the hallway to the crew quarters and was met with the two new faces he had seen last night but had yet to properly meet
“Good morning,” Magolor said with a happy look in his eyes “we haven't formally met yet, I’m Magolor that's Francisca” Magolor motioned to Francisca who was playing pretend with some small ice statues
“and that is Nesp, Burning Leo, and Gim,” Magolor said
the three Popstarians waved.
“It’s good to formally meet, I’m Tempest and this Capper”
Tempest said, while this was happening Magolor took some time to look over the two creatures, Tempest like Princess Skystar and Queen Novo, had an equine look to her, she didn’t have wings but had a scar across her left eye, looked like it was caused by some kind of slash, it reminded him of the sword scar that was left by Kirby on Dark Meta Knight’s eye and mask... and had what was left of what looked like a horn. Capper, on the other hand, looked much more normal but very much like a cat he had paws for hands and feet brown fur and a small dirty jacket
“Interesting” Magolor said as he eyed them. Magolor was then drawn to a knocking at the front door
“Coming!” he said as he floated quickly to the door and pressed the unlock button and Princess Skystar and Queen Novo were waiting.
“Morning” Magolor said
“alright Magolor were ready to see what's next to get to fix up this ship,” Princess Skystar said with a smile
“good good” Magolor said as he leads them to the main control screen with the rest of the Lor’s occupants following. Magolor quickly booted up the map and set the locations of the Lor’s missing components on as well, the screen soon came to life as the map of Equestria showed up once more “alright next I’m going to need the mast and another twenty energy spheres retrieved from here” Magolor pointed at a forest near the coast of the mainland not too far from Mount Eris.
“We currently have eighty of the one hundred and twenty energy spheres the LorStarcutter requires, another twenty and the mast are with Whispy woods who was teleported here by the malfunctioning hyperdrive, go to him and retrive the mast and the twenty energy spheres from him and use the hyperdrive to teleport him back to Popstar” Magolor explained.
“I’ll be coming with you to operate and use the hyperdrive on Whispy Woods, Gim, Nesp Burning Leo, you’ll be in charge of guarding the Lor until we get back, got it?” Magolor said.
“We won’t let you down,” Nesp said as he felt himself fill with DETERMINATION
“all right let's go, everyone!” Magolor announced.
They exited the Lor and headed straight for the ocean, Francisca froze the water in front of her with her snowflake axe forming an ice bridge across the water allowing Capper and Tempest to travel on foot instead of swimming, Magolor Novo and Skystar flew above in the sky through the clouds and into the bright rays of the sun. Magolor felt good to finally feel the sun upon himself again after the past few days of cloudy skies.
“So who are your friends anyway?” Princess Skystar asked
“their quite the powerful bunch, first there’s Kirby he’s apparently the hero of popstar and has helped save it from many dark forces even one that corrupted me!” Magolor explained
“Next is Bandana Dee he’s King Dedede’s second in command and is always there to help in a time of need”.
“Next is King Dedede he’s the monarch ruler of Dreamland a good chunk of the land on Popstar, he’s a gluttonous penguin and prefers to wield a giant hammer, which is surprisingly powerful!”
Magolor said “next is Meta Knight, he’s the leader of the Meta Knights and wields his sword Galaxia which can help him perform magic, ever since his victory over one of the four heroes of old he has taken the title of “Strongest Warrior in the Galaxy”.
“There are many more but I’ll tell you about them when we get back because we got to land now and get looking,” Magolor said
they glided down and regrouped with Capper, Francisca, and Tempest on the shore, “So who is this “Whispy Woods” we need to get your things from?” Capper asked.
“Whispy is a living tree and the guardian of the forests of Popstar but don't underestimate him, he’s no pushover what so ever!” Magolor said
and so they began their search for the living tree in a forest full of normal trees, Francisca frowned under her mouth mask as a squirrel hid in a tree trunk “This will take a while..” she said with annoyance.
“Spike what is it?” she asked “this isn’t hearts warming morning”
“Sorry,” Spike said with an embarrassed look “you just got a letter from Celestia and with all that's going on I thought you’d want to see it as soon as everypony else wakes up”.
“A letter from the princess?” Twilight said with intrigue “all right then let me see” Spike pulled out the letter and Twilight opened it with her magic and began to read it to herself.
Dear Twilight, I’m glad you told me what you’ve found because Canterlot got some visitors as well, a giant penguin named Dedede and apparently is the king of dreamland an area of Popstar he also carries a hammer, another was one you’d recognize, Adeline a human from Popstar who has the ability to bring anything she paints to life. Ribbon is another human-like creature called a fairy and comes from a planet near Popstar called Ripplestar, she also carries a large crystal it is unknown what it is but she says it's a gift from Ripplestar so that she can use it to help her friends, another was yet another human named Susie, she is apparently the President of a company and has inherited the position from her father who apparently had fallen into madness and passed away. The final was a small one, a little orange creature named Bandana Dee(probably for the blue bandana he refuses to take off) he carries a spear and is very determined to care for his King, according to King Dedede Bandana Dee is a waddle dee a species from popstar that mainly serve the king and are the minions of Dedede, I hope this info helps you. Also, I invite you, your friends, Spike, Kirby, Meta Knight, and Zan, and the animals to the Summer Sun Festival that is happening tonight. The Festival is being held in Canterlot this year due to far more royal duties to attend to than I expected and sadly even with Luna’s help we haven't been able to nullify those nobles, for the time being, I hope to see you soon. “Spike clear my schedule for the next few days!” Twilight called with excitement
“what is it?” Spike asked, “what did she say?”
“the princess has invited us to the Summer Sun Festival!” Twilight said with a gleeful smile on her face. “She also said to bring Kirby and the others as well as my friends and you”
“finally! I've been waiting for all year for this!” Spike said with excitement “because the last one was well you know just after you become a princess and then we had to give away the elements...”.
“I’ll go get Rarity and the rest of our friends,” Spike said
“I'll meet you guys at the train station!” Twilight called after Spike
Twilight immediately began packing, she got her saddlebags down and after around ten or some minutes in the library figuring out which books are best for the trip she finished packing. She then began to trot to the front door of the castle along the way she stopped by the room she gave to Kirby Meta Knight, Zan, Tranza, Sectonia and Rick, Kine and Coo to let them know that it's time to head to Canterlot she also stopped by to wake up Starlight and help her pack her saddlebags, they exited the castle and trotted towards the train station. After a bit they soon arrived at the station and her friends were waiting along with Spike carrying Rarity’s large amount of luggage
“Howdy sugar cube how's it hanging?” Apple Jack asked
“quite well actually,” Twilight said with a smile.
“I must say that it is quite strange having both my usual appointment with the fashionistas boutique and the summer sun festival both happening in Canterlot this year,” Rarity said
“why would it be strange it makes things easier for both your appointment and a party!” Pinkie says with her almost eternal smile.
“It's just a bit off-putting since there's been next to no summer sun festivals ever held in Canterlot unless you count last year's” Rarity responds
“Do you think the princess will have me do a rainboom for everyone?” Rainbow dash asks
“probably” Fluttershy whispers
“Poyo?” Kirby says as he tilts his head to the side
“no Kirby” Meta Knight clarifies “I doubt that she’ll be able to make an explosion as big as the ones that you can do with crash”.
“Crash?” Starlight asks
“it's one of his copy abilities,” Meta Knight says “it's very rare but if Kirby can find a being powerful enough it can grant him the crash ability, it has the power to cause massive explosions up to a supernova if Kirby can channel in energy for long enough”.
“Supernova...” Twilight said as her eye twitched,
she knew that amount of firepower is only achievable by an exploding star and if gravity affects it too much it could form a black hole, something that huge could have catastrophic outcomes! It came as a surprise to her that their planet is still there, she looked down and saw the train coming
“The train is almost here everypony“ Twilight said
the train pulled into the station and after waiting for all the exiting passengers to leave the platform after being intrigued by Kirby and his friends, they got on and took their seats. After around ten minutes the train started up and began to make its way across the hills and toward Canterlot, it was quite a while before
“seriously! you just stood there as he fell into another portal!“ I heard Meta Knight say to Zan,
“I couldn't get to it fast enough!“ Zan said
“well, that just means we have more work to do now just get everything back to normal“ Meta Knight said crossing his arms and shaking his head in disappointment. Coo winked at Twilight while Rick bent down a bit to scratch his head with his foot,
“so who are your friends?” she asked Meta Knight
“well if you find us strange our friends are even weirder,” Meta Knight said, “first there's Marx he’s Kirby best friend and has lived in Kirby's shadow for a long time before he tried to gain as much power as Kirby and that led to his corruption and was presumed dead after the great explosion of Nova, he came back years later and has now had a romantic interest with Driblee, he’s a puffball like me and Kirby except armless, likes to bounce on a ball and never takes off his hat”.
“Speaking of Driblee she is the queen of the water snakes a species we came across in a cave system near Kirby’s house she also has the power to control spit and manipulate any form of water to her liking, don’t tell her this but I personally noticed her during Kirby’s gourmet race with Dedede, hiding behind the stands watching them compete”.
“Oh!” Twilight said that reminds me Celestia said in her letter that she found Dedede, two humans, a fairy, and waddle dee in Canterlot” Twilight said, “was the waddle dee wearing a blue bandana?” Meta Knight asked, “yep,” Twilight said. “Think Fast everypony! were coming up on Canterlot,” Rainbow Dash said, Twilight grabbed her saddlebags and Spike began to pile up Rarity’s luggage the train soon stopped and they stepped out into Canterlot.
The day had been long and hot as they looked through the forest for whispy, the sun shined brighter than ever, she was so hot Francisca thought she was melting or just hearing things when she hard a strange voice in her head that called to her.
"Yggdrasil...." the voice called to her
But as she found herself floating up the hill her fatigue began to catch up to her and so she slumped close to the ground, her torso almost touching while dripping with sweat, her jambastion cult uniform was going to need a wash soon.
"dose the lorstarcutter have some kind of laundry spell?" Francisca asked herself as she struggled to hold onto her axe.
Her ice axe started dripping cold water onto the burning hot grass below, although the heat strangely subsided along with the weird voice as they made their way up the hill as if there was something here that was far colder temperature-wise and wasn't supposed to part of the regular steaming hot forset.
“This way everyone I’m feeling his presence coming from this way!” Magolor called as he hurried up the hill
Capper and Tempest followed closely behind him with Novo and Skystar galloping faster up the steep incline
“come on Francisca were nearing whispy!” Skystar and Novo called down to Francisca.
“Four hours we’ve been out here in this forest,” Francisca said between her breath as she stumbled up the hill at a slow pace “no food, no rest, blazing hot heat, this is really getting on my nerves!”
She hurried to the top of the hill to find Magolor staring surprised at the land he saw in front of him and Novo and Skystar were looking at him with tilted heads confused.
“I know this place,” Magolor said in almost exited shock as he continued to stare ahead of him “this is almost an exact replica of Cookie Country, Kirby and the others went through here to get energy spheres for me when the Lor crashed on popstar”
“how could it have possibly gotten here?” Novo asked.
“I don’t know but it's almost exactly as Kirby described it, people, weird tress, and all, look!” Magolor pointed to the land below where multiple waddle dees, sir kibbles, and poppy bros jr s were running about as if it was any other day in dreamland, “looks like we're going to have to get past them to get to whispy I’ll try to see if we can convince them to help out but don’t have hope wild beings on Popstar can be quite unruly” Magolor said.
“Well, what are we waiting for let's go!” Skystar said with a smile as she rushed in
“wait!” Magolor called pulling the hippogriff princess back with his telekinesis “stay behind me unless you feel like getting blown to bits” Magolor said as he and Francisca lead the way through Cookie country with Capper, Tempest, Novo, and Skystar following behind. They fought a few waddle dee’s and a blade knight before flying and jumping up a small cliff before dashing across a few gaps. They entered a cave then dropped down while Magolor shot some neutralizing energy balls at the waddle dee’s that followed. Francisca picked up a key and used it on the door that followed opening a large room with dirt everywhere and floating in middle of it, an energy sphere, Magolor pocketed it and they continued on running into a trojan dee a bigger waddle dee made of wood with three normal waddle dee’s hiding inside, Francisca blasted them down with her soda blaster and they exited the cave and they saw it. A Super Blade Knight, he had a star on his head and his power flowed so hard his sword turned to a pirate’s cutlass, Magolor used his energy rings to absorb the blade knight’s power allowing him to summon an ultra sword at any time, the blade knight astonished and saddened ran away. Magolor used the ultra sword on any unfriendly popstarians while tearing up the ground before something opened, an interdimensional rift in the shape of a star
“jump in” Magolor told them
“what! Why would we jump into that thing?” Tempest asked
“just do it Kirby said he usually found energy spheres in these things,” Magolor said.
They jumped in and found themselves in a monochrome ish area with weird patterns in the distance.
“Uhh, guys what's that?” Skystar asked nervously, behind them was a rapidly approaching void wall consuming all in its path
“run!” Magolor said. They hopped from dead platform to platform until their path was blocked by trojan dees and giant stone blocks Maglor used his black hole to suck them all up and into the void and shot his allies out forward to get them ahead due to his own low speed. They ran over many more gaps above the void below and while Magolor sucked up and shot up even more stone blocks with his black hole, they smashed their way through some yellow star blocks and a giant waddle dee and soon came to another star door their went through without much thought because of the rapidly approaching void wall. They came to an area with some food they used to heal up and copy essences that Kirby had used it seemed one was for fire and the other sword, and in the area beyond they spot both the next two energy spheres as well as some formidable foes, sphere doomers one was purple and one white and the other was green. The doomers started out by laughing then diving at them hitting those who failed to duck their heads, next the white one shot out some energy balls that appeared to have some kind of ice property to them while the green one surrounded itself in electric orbs and tried to ram them hard, Magolor got electrocuted stunning him briefly. The white one charged up while moving to the middle of the arena then shot out icicles in multiple directions knocking Novo out of the sky. The electric one then made itself the center of a huge line of electric orbs and tried to hit them with the longer reach while the white one flew above them and spat out ice orbs. It took a while but they managed to kill the doomers, they dispersed with a flash of light and a scream leaving behind to energy spheres which Magolor pocketed. they grabbed and "shared" the maximum tomato beyond and went back to Equestria. After exiting the other dimension they spotted a friendly waddle dee, Magolor floated in and began to try and talk it out with the waddle dee,
“Magolor!?” the waddle asked surprised. “what are you doing here?”
“I'm sorry to say it but this part of Popstar seems to have been teleported to another world, we could help you guys get yourselves and this land back to where it belongs if you can lead us in the direction of Whispy Woods” Magolor asked.
“Whispy?” the waddle dee said "he’s over that way" the waddle dee pointed to the edge of the grassland where the entrance to the second half of the forest was “he’s that way but be warned ever since that weird flash happened he’s gotten very defensive I wouldn’t mess with him if I were you” the waddle dee said.
“Can you rally all the people from Popstar in cookie country?” Magolor asked “maybe they can help us take care of Whispy”
“sure anything for one of the great star allies!” the waddle dee said
“star allies?” Magolor said “is that the name Popstar has given Kirby’s group?”.
“Sure is, you guys are known far and wide across Popstar all the way from green greens to nutty noon!” The waddle dee said, “alright head over to Whispy we’ll meet you there” the waddle dee said and he ran off to fetch all the other wild people across the field.
They continued on toward the area the waddle dee had directed them to and finally, they found him Whispy yawned
“huh who goes there?” he said as he opened his eyes.
“Hello Whispy!” Magolor said as he pulled out the hyperdrive “we need you to give us the mast for the Lor and stay still so that I can get you home”
“no!” Whispy replied, “if you want something from me your going to have to do it Kirby’s way, combat!” Whispy said as a mad expression spread across his face,
“alright Magolor were here!” yelled the waddle dee he was followed by around seventeen more waddle dees, five poppy bros jr’s, six sir kibbles, two popos, and one sparky, even a giant edge joined while struggling to drag his heavy sword across the dirt, Whispy narrowed his eyes and roared toward the sky.
Francisca charged forward with her axe as Whispy shook his branches letting lose some apples and a few gordos small black balls with eyes and spikes, Francisca followed her charge up with an upward iceberg and then did a flip then slammed down destroying the ice and causing a large shock wave.
“A living tree eh?” Tempest said now becoming more motivated by the heat of battle as well as Capper “how about this!” she said her broken horn crackled with blue electricity and hit whispy dead on, then fell to the ground but lit a few of Whispy’s roots on fire.
Whispy realed from the attack then shrugged off the fire and grew to the size of a castle! Whispy then began to inhale at a rate that would give Kirby a run for his money, the Poppy bros tossed some bombs toward Whispy’s mouth with him accidentally inhaling them stunning him briefly. Magolor keep on shooting is energy balls and followed it up with a revolution flame, Whispy then jumped into the air and separated the group from each other while roaring like a manticore, he shook his branches again and a hail storm of apples began to drop! Magolor countered it by summoning a mini black hole via his spike rings to stop the apples from reaching them, on the other side Tempest was only briefly able to hold a shield spell until another parasol waddle dee came in and popped his umbrella open and with a pinch of his love he made his parasol into a chumbrella! The apples fell but with they merely bounced off the chumbrella, with the apple storm gone Capper slashed at Whispy with his claws slashing off a bit of Whispyś bark
“OW!“ Whispy yelled in pain as he spit multiple puffs on strong cloud air hitting Skystar in the paws and wings, “wait a second why do I smell smoke” Whispy thought to himself as he looked to the other side to see what had hit him, it turned out to be none other than Magolor firing revolution flames and the three popos blowing a cloud of fire at Whispyś stump, “NO!“ Whispy tired to yell but he never got the chance, from the stump up he soon lit on fire! “AHH!! HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT!“ Whispy yelled in pain
“that's it everyone hit with fire attacks!“ Magolor yelled over Whispy’s repeated cries of pain and agony, Tempest aimed her horn toward whispy’s leaves and lit them up causing his head to turn into a bonfire! Whispy shrugged off the fire and fought through the pain as he got up on his roots and began to chase the group through the plains while spitting puffs of hard air at them along with some purple poison apples, they ran as fast as they could while also occasionally turning around slightly to fire projectiles at him,
“Get back here!” Whispy yelled through the flames, a couple of magic lasers, revolution flames, and feather firing later Whispy collapsed defeated. Soon the fire poofed away and Whispy shrunk back to normal size his body now scorched with black ash and he shed a tear as Magolor floated up to the now blackened Whispy
“Sorry buddy but you left us no choice, now hand over the mast and energy spheres!“ Magolor demanded
“fine“ Whispy said through his tears and out of the now Embery branches of Whispy popped out the mast shrunken and placed in an energy ball, which thankfully it protected it and the energy spheres from the fire. Magolor and the rest of the residents in grasslands walked in front of Whispy and struck a pose before they… started dancing, they did flips, rolls, jumps, and moonwalks before striking a final pose,
“what did you just do?“ Novo asked,
“its something Kirby has us do, I thought why not try it myself and it feels really nice!“ Magolor said
“it thinks it best to not question it“ a nearby Poppy bros jr said.
“We did it!“ Magolor said “all right let's get you guys home“
“no!“ the waddle dee they first met said “Andrew and his mighty bandanna have inspired us over the years and we would be honored to serve you in an amazing adventure!“ a Poppy bros jr said,
Magolor sighed “fine“ “but on one condition, only one of each you can come“. The Poppy bros jr raised his hand as well as the first waddle dee and the parasol dee who helped them against Whispy, although no popo or the one sparky raised anything, the gigant edge simply snored, they all lifted each other off the ground so they were all in the air
“all right lets see...“ Magolor said as he powered up the hyperdrive soon a beam of light shot out of the hyperdrive engulfing whispy as well the land under them and all of the surrounding creatures that were touching the ground. It soon disappeared and left them all in the dense forest again, “alright everyone let's go!“ Magolor announced, “if we're gonna get the Lor up to full power by the end of today we're gonna need to move quick!“. Tempest screamed in pain as she performed a teleportation spell landing them at Lor again with Tempest catching her breath after the hard spell, “where was that earlier!“ Magolor said his eyes narrowed in anger,
“my horn doesn't have much power after such a fight, I can barely even perform simple spells without a painful drawback” Tempest said.
Magolor sighed, he walked up to the Lor and tossed the energy spheres and the mast at it, the mast grew back to full size and attached itself to the Lor and the energy spheres went into the engine,
“Alright everyone one place left to go and get energy spheres and thanks to the mast the Lor can now fly again!”Magolor said as he jumped for joy
“well what are we waiting for let's go!” Skystar said a happy smile. They hopped in and Magolor booted up the main computer,
“hey you three how did lookout go?” Magolor asked Burning Leo, Nesp, and Gim who were playing cards in the corner,
“good” Leo said, “nothing came though which is a good sign”. The Lor took off high and fast and began to fly towards Ponyville,
“one more collectathon, let's get this over with!” Magolor said with impatience as he kicked the Lor’s speed up a notch they shortly flew over the desert and the badlands, and toward the ever-free forest. But something looked strange out of the window, out of the corner of his eye something was there or it could have just been the sunset playing tricks on him, but he could have sworn when he looked down at the border of the Badlands and the Everfree forest he saw silhouettes of black creatures, rainbow shapes, and a glowing crown of water flying low to the ground toward the city on a mountain in the distance “I got a bad feeling about tonight….” Magolor said.
“.... and every year a grand festival is held to celebrate the Luna’s return and the raising of the sun” Twilight explained
“Interesting,” Meta Knight said “on our world, the sun and moon move freely and are living beings like you or me, although they do have very short tempers, its what Marx abused to make them fight each other”.
They passed a big open area next to a massive fountain where a stage and decorations of many varieties were being set up,
“Twilight can i go help set up for the Festival?” Pinkie asked while still hopping up and down, the eternal smile never leaving her face
“you can help them set up after we speak to the princesses about them,” Twilight said as she pointed to Kirby and his friends, they soon reached a massive castle that overshadowed pretty much the entire city and stopped at the gate, the guards looked behind Twilight and her friends and noticed us
“Halt!” the guards said pointing their spears at them
Meta Knight attempted to draw Galaxia but Sectonia put three of her hands on his hand to stop him from pulling it out “let's let Twilight handle this one” she whispered
“at ease, there with me and my friends,” Twilight said
they headed inside and began to walk down toward the throne room, ponies were rushing around not even stopping to look at the castle's new guests but Kirby had different plans when he saw a cart of food coming with a massive cake on the top and multiple deserts on the bottom. Kirby’s eyes lit up with aww and he even drooled a bit, he began to inhale as the cart was passing them by and sucked up all the food on the bottom row while keeping the cake intact to avoid suspicion, they soon came to a long hallway with stained glass dictating picture of what Meta Knight assumed to be the ponies past, some art depicted Twilight and her friends shooting rainbows at multiple beings one that looked like an alicorn version of his mirror-world counterpart another looked like some kind of amalgamation of multiple things from a goat to dragon, chicken, ect, another was of Twilight wearing a crown with a purple star on it, the same symbol as her cutie mark, another had a denomic looking unicorn at the top he was being help back by the light from a crystal heart carried by a purple and green dargon that looked like Spike, and the last one Meta Knight looked at was one of dark insect-like creatures being blasted away by two ponies in a heart formation the pink one was an alicorn and had a crystal heart for a cutie mark, the silver one was a unicorn he had a sheild for a cutie mark. They finally made it to the throne room there were two thrones up on top a red carpet and not much else besides the very high windows, although not too much of a far cry from Dedede’s throne room,
“greeting’s princess it good to see you again and as you asked here are Equestria's unexpected guests” Twilight and her friends moved out of the way.
Celestia and luna looked to be far taller alicorns, Celestia had rainbow-like hair and tail but with not all the colors like rainbow dash and white fur she also had a golden regalia and horseshoes as well as a golden crown with a purple gem in the top. Luna, on the other hand, was far darker with her hair being made up of stars, she had a black and purple crown and horseshoes as well but instead of the golden regalia her sister had she had a cotton looking necklace with a moon symbol on the front, they both had the cutie marks of the sun and moon respectively, Meta Knight walked up and bowed.
“Greetings,” Celestia said with a smile “Twilight has told me much of you, were not versed in different ways beyond the stars but you may correct us if you wish”
“Since we haven't been told yet how did you all even end up here in the first place?” Luna asked.
“We were destroying a member of a species of dark creatures of negative energy, we tried to stop the now completely insane Hyness and the three generals from bringing him back but in the end, we were too late” Zan shot Meta Knight a scowl as he gave his speech “we took the power of the heart spears that were used by the once great four heroes to originally seal it away, we ended up facing him in battle and although I wasn’t there personally there to witness Kirby take most of him down I was there for the ending, after that we flew off and then tried to fly home to Popstar but before we could reach it we were pulled through a portal and now we're here”.
“We find this interesting and who are these so-called heros who sealed the darkness with the spears?” luna asked.
“The legend does not say although I have encountered one before when at the end of my personal journey to become the strongest warrior in the galaxy and judging from what happened to him I can only assume the other three met a similar fate” Meta Knight said
he heard footsteps coming from the hallway, and Dedede, Susie, Adeline, Ribbon, and Bandana Dee walked through the door!
“Poyo!” Kirby said as rushed over to Dedede for a hug with open nubiles
“Hey!” Dedede said while pushing Kirby away, Kirby struggling against Dedede’s hand “just because we're friends now and our grudge is settled doesn't mean you get a free hug!”
“well I'm giving him a hug” said Ribbon as she fluttered down and hugged the puffball
“Uhh seriously,” Zan said as she rolled her eyes
“don’t question it Zan this is normal on Popstar and Dedede and Kirby’s rivalry lasted for almost two years, that is until he challenged Kirby to fight his way to castle Dedede again and I can only assume Kirby did so and Dedede lost again” Meta knight explained
Celestia then fluttered off the throne and began to trot towards the reunited group of friends,
“can I go decorate for the festival now?” Pinkie asked Twilight the smile she carried never wavering from her face
“Alright then Pinkie go do what you do best” Twilight said
Pinkie hopped her way out the door, leaving everyone else behind.
“Hello, Kirby,” Celestia said with a smile as she lowered her head to get to Kirby’s eye level
“Poyo?” Kirby said as he tilted his head to side confused,
“Can you show me this special ability you have?” she asked
Kirby nodded and inhaled Dedede’s hammer much to Dedede’s dismay, a flash of light then occurred and Kirby appeared with a new form and one of his most powerful at that, he had a blue and white headband and carried a smaller version of Dedede’s hammer
“Hammer!” Kirby squeaked
“If I may explain?” Meta Knight asked,
“Sure,” Celestia said
“Kirby possesses the ability to copy anything he can inhale but most of it is centered around categories unless the ability itself is very unique, for example, a wind chime can give him bell, if he inhales magic he gets beam, if he inhales snow he gets ice, ect, ect” Meta Knight explained,
“interesting” Celestia said as she took mental notes
Kirby spit the hammer back out with the ability disappearing, he gave Dedede his hammer back with Dedede giving Kirby an irritated look,
“meta knight?” Dedede asked
“When the festival is all said and done I have something to tell everyone”,
“how many secrets you have Dedede I will never know,” Meta Knight said as he shook his head.
Around one and a half hours later they began to make their way out to the stage in the courtyard, the raising of the sun would start soon, “Poyo” Kirby said with a big amount of fatigue in his eyes he never normally stayed up this late, Meta Knight pulled up his mask enough to yawn the place was littered with decorations of all shapes and sizes, balloons, streamers, confetti, pretty much anyone would consider applicable for a party, once they reached the chairs in front of the stage Kirby fell asleep on his chair gaining the sleep ability in the process what Kirby didn’t know was that he wasn’t going to be awake for very long the next time he woke up and he wasn’t going to holding on to the sleep ability either.
They were finally almost to Canterlot it seemed strange that they were coming into the city from under it instead of the front, they then entered a small entrance to a cave at the foot of the mountain Driblee hopped of Marx’s head and Marx retracted his wings and spit out a new jester ball to ride on and so they followed Chrysalis and the Changelings into the cave. The cave on the inside was very strange the walls were almost completely made out of some mirror-like material with a lot of stone as well, it reminded Marx of the mirror ability Kirby had on their journeys to stop Dyna blade and get the power from the star fountains to summon Nova, the hat Kirby had once gained looked a lot like his but in reverse, in the case of this cave it looked like whoever made this place didn’t want whatever was in here to get back out.
They continued along with the changelings passing many broken minecart tracks “maybe someone was once mining down here for some kind of gem?” Marx thought to himself “maybe these mirror gems were what they were looking for?”. Ten minutes of following and a bit of flying later they came to the final room of the cave when Chrysalis stopped suddenly
“wait!” she said
“pika?” whispered a soft voice it seemed to be coming from behind one of the big crystals, ignoring Chrysalis’s words Marx bounced and Driblee slithered to Chrysalis’s side to get a good look at whatever was back there, Driblee used some water from her crown to push Chrysalis back while Marx leaned in closer to see what was back there. Chrysalis scowled and face hooved at this
“don’t worry we won’t hurt you can come out now,” Marx said as if he were an animal caretaker and what two creatures emerged from behind the crystal made him feel even more as if he had a pet. The first figure was yellow and almost as tall as him
“Pika?” the creature said as it tilted its head confused it came up and sniffed his bowtie, it had a lightning bolt-shaped tail and small yellowish-orange eyes gleamed with happiness. The other figure was slightly fox-like, it had brown fur, a ring of white fur around its neck, and had a white color at the tip of its tail that formed a heart shape
“evva” the creature said as it walked up to Driblee and snuggled against her scaley body as if she was a cozy pillow.
“You so adorable!” Driblee said as she picked up the small creature "what's your name?” Driblee said “eevee” the creature squeaked as Driblee put her on her shoulder with her fins
“then what's yours?” Marx asked the yellow creature
“Pikachu” the creature squeaked while smiling.
“Want to come with us?” Marx asked the two of them “Voi!” “Pika pika” Pikachu and Eevee squeaked while nodding, they seemed to understand what they said, they both soon made themselves comfy on Marx’s hat, they turned around and found Chrysalis and almost all of the changelings going up through the exit to the cave
“I don’t know if you two are native to Equestria or not but we’ll help you!” “in fact, we're not from here either so it would be quite convenient,” Marx said to comfort them. Pikachu and Eevee squealed with delight at this “alright then let's go!” Marx said triumphantly as he, his hat’s new occupants, and Driblee followed the last changeling out of the exit and into the dark streets of Canterlot. Chrysalis and the rest changelings hid from alley to alley in the streets of Canterlot until they were behind the stage a devilish grin spread across Chrysalis and the changeling’s faces,
Dedede's eyes sagged with boredom as Celestia and Luna finally began to wrap up their speech.
"Citizens of Canterlot, it gives me and my sister great pleasure to celebrate this momentous day with you all," Celestia said. "As said last year, this celebration is no longer a reminder of the defeat of Nightmare Moon, but a celebration of me and my sister's legacy."
Celestia and Luna began to rise into the air to raise the sun. Their magic flared as the sun's light began to peek up from behind the stage. Suddenly, the princesses' magic was cut short, then the sun fell back down and from behind the stage came a species that triggered memories Dedede had long forgotten.
“I remember now! It's been so long, but I didn't expect them to come back!“ Dedede said to himself in his head in pure shock and realization. Changelings, hundreds of them, swarmed down and dived straight toward the princess and the crowd. But two familiar faces jumped in at the last second and stood in their path.
“NO!“ Marx yelled, his famous psychedelic wings glowing their usual many colors in the dark night sky. He was hovering in front of the changelings with Driblee using some water from her crown to form a platform for herself. Driblee was also using a bubble shield to protect them from the changelings. There were also a small yellow and a small brown figure on Marx’s hat, with the yellow one crackling like a thunderstorm!
“Why do you insist on staying between us and our food?!“ a tall slender changeling demanded.
“If anything, all species have at least some semblance of sanity, and that goes for all life forms! Even the things we hunt like feral animals in the wild should be given help, love, and respect. Look, even someone as crazy and chaotic as me wouldn’t go outside and take a wild Waddle Dee’s life just because of food! Who do you think I am?! I am Marx the almighty puffball, and you will pay with your life!“ Marx said in defiance he as began to become slightly corrupted, his soul trying to take over.
“Marx….” Driblee said as she held the bubble shield up against the thousands of changelings slamming into it, “calm down before you get out of hand.” The tall changeling fired a magic beam and broke down the shield as the rest of changelings seized Marx and Driblee as well as the two small forms on Marx’s head. As the rest began to attack Canterlot, Marx and Driblee were wrapped in a strange substance Dedede had never seen changelings create. Marx, Driblee and the two creatures were encased in the stuff and knocked unconscious.
“It's the Haltmann invasion all over again,” he thought to himself.
Dedede could only watch on in horror as the changelings rained down and captured ponies. Even the ponies Kirby had traveled with were dealt with. Dedede ran over to Kirby and attempted to wake him up as Meta Knight slashed the changelings away from him and Kirby with Galaxia gripped tightly in his hand.
“WAKE UP YOU LITTLE PINK PUFF!“ Dedede yelled. Kirby immediately woke with the Sleep Ability leaving him as Meta Knight cut off a changeling's wing.
“POYO!“ Kirby screamed as he woke up and looked Dedede in the face. Kirby’s scream seemed to draw more attention to themselves.
“Don’t just stand there, we're under attack!“ Dedede said.
Kirby nodded with a face full of determination before jumping into action. He inhaled a changeling and gained an ability Dedede had never seen before...
“Changeling!“ Kirby announced as he gained the copy ability, Kirby now possessed a black color, green eyes where his once light blue ones had been, two changeling wings on his back, and a stub of a horn on his forehead. Meta Knight spun around and unleashed a small tornado to help clear the way to their friends as all three of them ran into the fight to help their friends and repel the changelings from Canterlot. Bandanna Dee soon joined them as well in the fight, that is until the four of them were separated from each other. When that happened, the changelings then tried dog-piling Dedede.
“Get off of me!” Dedede yelled as he smashed them away with a magnificent hammer flip! During their time fighting, though, he did notice that some of the changelings began to give him a confused look, one not of hate but one not of love as well. Half an hour later, he remained steadfast and ready as he smacked changeling after changeling with some even losing a fang or two to the mighty hammer. He saw all the ponies, the princesses, Kirby and all his friends in cocoons on the wall of the castle. Even the two small figures on Marx’s head were in mini ones, and the sun and moon were now crossing each other forming a blinding eclipse. But within the light of the eclipse, he saw something just for a second or two: a giant tree with holy green light shining from its core, he heard a voice from it. "Before you do battle with her, I give you my blessings. The vision of the tree disappeared and just like that, he was thrown right back into the fray, leaving him open to the bite of a changeling. But when its fangs attempted to sink into him, they simply stopped at his skin as if the changeling was a biting a rock and didn't affect him at all. The image of a green symbol with a dragon emblem flashed in his eyes briefly as the changeling reeled back, surprised at the lack of damage his bite did.
"Whatever that voice was, it must be powerful enough to provide invincibility." The thought alone made him nervous, "It's up to me now, I hope your luck may help me,” Dedede said in his head as a Sapphire light receded off him and disappeared. The blessing was gone. He was on his own now. More and more changelings began to stop and stare at him with confused looks. "Who is this special person the tree was talking about?" Dedede thought, but he didn't have time to delve into it because the tall changeling from before fluttered in front of him, the changelings making way for her,
“How can this be?!“ she said with astonishment.
“How's old Chamilea doing?” Dedede asked with a smug grin,
“She was the first queen, and she’s been dead for thousands of years. How have you lived so long yet be so nimble?!“ the queen said.
“I don’t know how it's been so long, but I think it’s time for me to take back my rightful title,“ Dedede said with a smirk as he took up an offensive stance.
“We’ll see that your title as prince was lost along with you when you disappeared.“
“Bring it on, then!“ Dedede said as the changelings backed up, forming an arena like a circle around them. Dedede ran in and started his fight with a head slide and began to sing… "You'll fall to the might of Dedede!" he sang as he clashed his hammer with the queen’s horn. “Got my hammer to smack those who cross me!“ Dedede began to do many Super Dedede Jumps around the arena. “All of your hive falls under my rule.“ Chrysalis shot many blasts at him. He jumped back and wiped some sweat off his forehead. “This here emperor penguin is keeping it cool!“ Dedede then turned to the changelings and kept singing, “If you still want to stay outta line...” Dedede showed off his hammer. “You'll say hello again to this mallet of mine!" "I'm gonna use it to pound your face..." "...Unless you kneel for me!“ The changelings began to bow down to him. “That's it, know your place!“ Dedede turned back to the queen.
“I will make you bow to true royalty! See, you gotta kowtow to Dedede!“ he said. He struck a pose while staying alert of the lasers the queen continued to fire. “When I raise my hammer, villains better flee!“ He gestured toward the changelings while smirking at the queen. “That's right, loyal subjects, you submit to me!“ She charged at him, horn glowing. Dedede jumped out of the way and began to chuck a bunch of mini hammers at her one at a time. “You will now yield to King Dedede, the mightiest king of all time! I'm the king of Dream Land, which is under my command, so hail Dedede!“ He got up after another head slide and turned back to the changelings.
“There was but one who dared to step to me: your queen’s ancestor Chamilea. When I ate the whole supply of food, she came and smacked me up! How rude!“ Dedede sung as he turned his back and scowled at Chrysalis. “You're her descendant, so that's a sign I must clobbah you with this here mallet of mine. So if you don't wish for me to pound your face, Chrissy, Chrissy, Chrissy, you should know your place!“ Dedede smirked as he continued to sing, “I'll make you bow to true royalty! Yeah, you gotta kowtow to Dedede!“ He brandished his wooden mallet for all to see. “When I raise my hammer, villains better flee!“ He pointed at the circle of changelings. “Now, my loyal subjects, submit to me! You will now yield to King Dedede, the mightiest king of all time! I'm the king of Dream Land, which is under my command, so hail Dedede!“
Dedede was so busy singing that he failed to notice Chrysalis charging at him. She knocked him into the air and blasted his mallet with a laser, causing it to burst into shards of wood, “Hey! You just blew up my favorite mallet!” Dedede glared at the queen. “You done messed up big time!“ Dedede said as he got up, his face red with anger. "It's your fault I'm breaking out the big guns, so don't say I didn't warn you!“ Dedede pulled out the strongest hammer he had ever wielded: the Dedede Hammer 2.0, a metal hammer with his peace-sign insignia on the flat sides. “We're gonna settle this once and for all!” Dedede said.
Dedede swung his hammer a few times then slammed it down creating a star. He inhaled the star and spat it at Chrysalis before she could react, hitting her dead-on as Dedede rushed in and did a head slide. Dedede then put the hammer on its peg, and it opened up and fired five missiles! As the missiles sailed towards Chrysalis, he began to do many Super Dedede Jumps.
“It is time, to end this rivalry.”
Dedede landed and tossed his hammer, which began to follow him like a boomerang as he did more Super Dedede Jumps.
“We now stand at the cusp of victory, so Chrissy, get ready!” Dedede said as he caught his hammer in midair. While airborne, he attempted to slam Chrysalis into the ground with his hammer. She moved out of the way just in time, but she stumbled a bit from the electric shockwave that followed. “It's the revenge of King Dedede!”
“It's time to settle this royally. The climax has come, as you can see, of the debate of who's the better ruler, you or Dedede!" Dedede stopped for a second to catch his breath as he sang more slowly. “Listen to the drums of war!” Dedede sung. "I will pound ya 'til you're sore!” Dedede yelled "Ha!" as he brought his hammer down on Chrysalis. She dodged it, only to be caught off-guard as the hammer opened up and sprayed fire like a dragon!
Dedede then followed it up with multiple hammer swings and a short spin attack “Hail to me, yours truly, not gonna show mercy, time to make history! Whose name will be carried on the breeze? Mine, of course!” Dedede said before he got knocked around in an aerial combo by Chrysalis. With one last strike, Chrysalis slammed the king hard into the stone streets, leaving a small crater.
Dedede’s vision returned to him shortly, and the first thing he saw was his new subjects looking at him in a circle. Chrysalis tried to turn them back to her side but failed miserably. The changelings stepped back as Dedede coughed up some blood. His coat was staining from his injuries. The changelings made a path for Chrysalis, revealing him to her to be alive.
“HOW?!!” Chrysalis yelled in surprise.
“Heh heh heh...” Dedede chuckled, “you really thought you beat me, just like that? You should know better, 'cause I still got another trick up my sleeve..." Dedede said with a devilish grin while the blood was seeping out of his mouth and down his chin. "I bet you remember this thing, don't you?” He pulled out an old, tattered scroll out of his coat. He knew what it meant now.
“No, it can’t be!” Chrysalis said, eyes wide.
“This is the spell that weird amalgamation gave Chamelia and me to try and revive the kingdom to its former glory, but it backfired. That trickster tricked us! It turned what remained of our kingdom into changelings like you!” Dedede explained. “And now, before I undo that amalgamation’s spell...” Dedede pointed his damaged finger at the queen. “You need to be dealt with!” He commanded the changelings, “Subjects! Let everyone go. Set them up to watch and maybe take part in the fight to come.”
He chanted a spell on the scroll, and a purple aura began to envelop him. His muscles grew larger and larger until they ripped his coat. “I’ll repair that later. I’m sure that seamstress the princess was talking about can fix this old coat up,” Dedede said.
“It can’t be!” Chrysalis repeated.
“Sorry, but you're not the one in charge here! This time I’m bringing back a favored form of mine for all the buffs back on Pop Star! Bonkers, this one’s for you! Heh heh heh!” Dedede laughed, and as Kirby and the others were just regaining consciousness and the changelings led them toward the arena, the battle began as Dedede began to sing once more. “Check out this beef, look who's armed to the teeth, you'd better run from my strength 'cause I’m the baddest dude!” Dedede sung with a smile as he flexed a bit, creating some stars which he inhaled and spat at the queen. “Check out my biceps and gawk at my triceps!”
“Why won’t you just die already, you freak?!” the queen yelled.
“Are you calling me a freak?” Dedede sang. “You should know that's rude!” He began to do many Super Dedede Jumps around with the changelings backing up even more to avoid the shock waves that followed. “I'm gonna flex with my Herculean strength,” he sung as he began to smack the queen with his fists and arms, “because these arms look awesome on me!” He finished it up with some hard smashes using both fists, destroying some of the stone streets. “These arms boast girth, power, torsion, and length! Fear Buff Dedede!” he continued to sing as his friends watched from the sidelines with happy faces of approval and cheers.
“That's it, Dedede! Go for it!” Marx yelled over the chaos and singing.
“Eva!” Eevee cheered.
Dedede nodded to Marx and continued his song as he began to do many Super Dedede Jumps. With his newfound strength, they now created shockwaves and cracking the ground slightly. “Chrissy! I’m-a bash you!” Dedede sang “I will pummel you, and punch you into the ground, oh Chrissy! You can’t rule them, so follow this king’s instructions...” Dedede sung as he lifted both his fists into the air after jumping up with a Super Dedede Jump. “SUBMIT TO DEDEDESTRUCTION!” He slammed his fists on top of the queen, barely hearing a few of her bones break. But despite having a broken back Chrysalis still did not let up with him with powerful magic and physical strikes, even attempting to bite him a few times. Dedede began to pull up pieces of the street and hurl them at her. “Chrissy! I'm-a slam you, real hard!” he sang as he jumped to the center of the arena. “Chrissy! You better be on your guard!” He began to bounce around like a ball of muscle rather than simply using Super Dedede Jumps. “Chrissy! You'll never beat me, 'cause I have this power! It's DEDEDE'S HOUR!” he called out as he pounded the ground so hard it began to crack quite a bit.
“Who knew that the corrupted form of Dedede that we fought was the same one that would save us all...” Driblee said to Marx.
“POYO!” Kirby yelled as he gave up the Changeling Ability and hugged his best friend with his nublies. Marx did the same but with his hat’s pom poms, with Eevee and Pikachu holding on tight to the front.
“Good to finally see you again, best friend!” Marx said with love while Adeline was painting an Al Fresco picnic for them to heal with.
Dedede then began to swing around houses and buildings to get above Chrysalis for more smashes. “Now you've got to face this beefed-up, mighty king!” Dedede sang. “Chrissy, you are gonna get a clobbahing!” He then began to smack her more and more with his arms and fists “I’ll drive you into the ground and it's gonna sting! I don't need a mallet, I'll just punch you into submission!” Dedede sang with a smile and punch, he then used the spell’s power to lift up a piece of the road with telekinesis and hold it in place with stasis allowing him to hold on to it and punch the queen at the same time.
Twilight almost fainted again, but some force kept her from doing so. “Well, Twilight,” Celestia said with a kind smile, “looks like everyone from Pop Star is more than meets the eye.”
Twilight’s eye twitched. “How is this possible?!” she thought.
Kirby and the others continued cheering Dedede on as he continued to sing and pound the changeling queen into a pancake. “Pancakes would actually be great right now,” Kirby thought to himself.
“Fall to the mighty King Dedede, the macho-est king of all time!” Dedede sang as he smashed the queen and the ground repeatedly. The ground looked like it would give way soon. “You better show respect or I will break your neck even while I rhyme!” he sang. “Ha ha ha ha ha ha!” He then began to jump and bounce all over the place, swinging on the telekinetically held street pieces as if they were pillars and swung around them to build up speed and power. The yellow creature on Marx’s hat shot off a thunderbolt at the queen, slightly paralyzing her. This kept her in place long enough for him to pound her even more “I'll spring around, off the walls and the ground! Each of my muscles can turn you into a pancake!” he sang as he slammed his shoulder into the ground. As the queen dashed out of the way, he then began to show off his muscles more before doing more Super Dedede Jumps. “You see these pecs and the traps on my neck? Their size is proof that victory is mine to take!” He then got an idea. He repeatedly slammed his fists into the ground more and more, having a hunch as to what would happen next. “No need for hammers when you have arms like these!” he sang. “They're even heavier than hammers, you see! Tussling with my muscles won't be a spring breeze! I'm Macho Dedede!” And with one final smack, the ground gave way, and Dedede and Chrysalis began to fall down into a cave of some sort. On the way down, he decided to give the queen something to keep her mind on. The others just stared into the abyss as Dedede and Chrysalis fell deeper and deeper.
Marx walked up to the pit as everyone stared at him and Eevee and Pikachu. “We're not just gonna stand here the whole time. Come on, everyone! Time to squash this bug!” Marx declared.
“Poyo!” Kirby said as he ran up with Marx and jumped into the pit.
“Might as well follow them,” Susie said. She summoned her Business Suit and did a fast driver slam down into the pit while putting her battle visor on. The rest of Dedede's friends followed as his friends began to dive down towards him and the queen’s battle.
“Chrissy! You won’t beat me!” he sang as they fell and fought at the same time “I think... Chrissy, I will push you to the brink! Chrissy! You won’t beat me, I told you already!” He brushed off the rubble after landing as well as the queen. His friends followed him and floated beside him as he continued singing. “So you better be ready!” he sang as he struck a pose. They all began to attack her with everything they had. Taranza and Sectonia shot webs to slow the queen down. Marx cleared up all the rubble with his black hole before spitting down seeds which grew into thorny vines from above, limiting the queen’s movement options. “Chrissy, I'm gonna smack...” “YOUR FACE!” he and Pinkie said in unison as Pinkie appeared from seemingly nowhere and smacked the queen in the face with a frying pan. “Chrissy, we're not running a gourmet race!” he sang as he chased the queen, smacking her with his fists and creating shock waves to slow her down. “Chrissy! You can’t win, not when I've got this power!”
“IT'S DEDEDE'S HOUR!” they all yelled so loud the changelings up top could hear them.
“You must face the power of our mighty king!” Adeline and Ribbon sang.
“Chrysalis, it's time to get a clobbering!” Driblee sang.
“He’ll drive you into the ground and it'll surely sting!” Sectonia sang.
“No mallet necessary, he'll punch you to oblivion!” Taranza sang.
“Bow to the mighty King Dedede!” Marx sang.
“The most glorious king of all time!” Bandanna Dee sang
“You must show me respect or we will break your neck as we end this rhyme!” he finished singing as Sectonia and Taranza completely trapped Chrysalis with a web hold as the queen finally fell unconscious from her injuries. They flew up and out of the pit while helping the others who couldn't get out as well. Dedede looked down into the disbelieving eyes of Twilight and her friends as they stared at him, his muscles pulsing with magic, Marx’s rainbow wings, and the now webbed and unconscious changeling queen “Hail to the king,” he said with a smirk as he struck a pose. His new subjects and the entirety of Canterlot began cheering for him and his friends.
It had been a few hours since the great battle, and things were never better for him: He had his subjects back (or at least their descendants), their mother/queen was captured, and he now had the ability to buff his muscles up anytime he feels like it, although he had to transform back to normal for now; besides, he looked just as good either way. He had Rarity reconstruct his coat. It was just as good as it had been before, besides the obvious extra shiny fabric that had been woven in; at the very least, it made it look more clean compared to during the fight where it was torn by his muscles and stained by his wounds. He also had changed his subjects back to normal, apparently now looking like “reformed changelings” from what Twilight had said, although he kept Chrysalis the same; he decided to have her suffer under her form and even accompany them to help find their friends. She currently was healing in a cage hanging on the stage. The sun was raised at last, the eclipse from the battle before was gone, and confetti rained from the skies as everyone partied to their heart's content. They had won this day.
“Hey guys, can you come over here for a second?” he asked his friends.
“Dedede, you said you had something to tell me? Are you telling it to all of us?” Meta Knight asked.
“And can you please explain why the changelings bowed to you as you sung?” Driblee asked. “It's not like your their king or something.”
He led them to a back alley away from the ongoing celebration. “I have to confess... Everyone, I originally wasn’t from Pop Star. I was born here, or up north from what I saw on maps of this land,” he said. Everyone had their jaws drop to the floor in shock, besides Bandana Dee of course. “Too much information?” he asked.
“No no no, Great King! It's just...” Bandana Dee said, “...weird that you were born on this planet.”
“Who were your parents?” Ribbon asked, a concerned look on her face.
“Gone,” Dedede said. “They died when I was twelve. When I visited Cloudy Park one time to try and reconcile myself after the Dark Matter knight incident, I was so lonely that I hallucinated a vision of them and reached out toward them. All I did was injure myself from the long fall that resulted.”
“Then how did you possibly get to Pop Star?” Marx asked.
“Grab some snacks then, because that's a story in and of itself.”
“Well, we have the time while everyone is recovering from last night.” Marx split himself in two to produce a few large bags of popcorn and a few soda cans from his storage.
“It all started just after my parents died in that avalanche,” Dedede began. “I was afraid some beast would emerge from the depths and kill me, so I swam toward what I thought was the mainland, but instead I ended up in the east part of Equestria. And that is where I found them, the kingdom of the flutter ponies. I told them what happened to me and I was taken in and raised by the queen of the flutter ponies, Camelia. She was amazing, especially with magic! But once I was crowned prince when I turned nineteen, a huge meteor struck and turned the kingdom into a lava and ash-filled wasteland. The kingdom was decimated!” he said. “Me, Camelia, and the survivors fled into the tunnels beneath the city, and months passed. We hoped someone would come to our rescue, and when a strange creature appeared it seemed that way. It wasn’t until I asked Celestia a few days ago about such an abomination that I found out what it was, or rather who it was...” he continued “Discord the draconequus, a being of pure chaos. And from what I heard, his relatives are even worse, although the one I read about seemed very similar to you Marx.”
“How so?" Marx asked.
“In the ancient texts I found in the depths of the castle library here in a dusty book, he was described as a reality-warping chaotic jester that went by the name Jevil. He was said to have been given his powers from an evil red dragon that posses chaos energy. The dragon sleeps in the void dimension, a place of nothingness except for a few islands. Some call this dimension The End, although the text said that Jevil died five hundred years ago and disappeared from the world entirely.”
“Eva?” Eevee asked as she tilted her head.
“Oh, by the way, what're those things?” Dedede asked while pointing at the two cute creatures sitting on Marx's jester hat.
“You mean these little guys? This little brown one is Eevee and the yellow one's Pikachu,” Marx said as he looked at them with a smile. “We found them in the crystal caves under the city.”
“Alright, continuing on,” Dedede said, “Discord said he'd give us a spell that would resurrect our kingdom so we could start anew, but the fiend tricked us!” He stomped the ground in anger. “The spell began to transform Camelia’s subjects into the evil insects ponies call changelings. Even Camelia herself was not immune and the spell soon began to take her. As the food supply ran out, I ate what remained, for the spell caused them to only feed off the love of each other. But i had no idea what would follow: Camelia used her last bit of magic to save me as the others now hated me for eating the rest of the food.” He tried not to cry, but the dam gave way to a torrent of tears. “I never got to say goodbye! I was teleported and eventually woke up in Green Greens. And soon after that I came across you, Andrew,” he said while looking at Bandana Dee through teary eyes.
“I remember, Great King. We saw and still see you as a deity, but now that you’ve told us your origin I now understand you're not. Because we had such admiration for you, we soon crowned you king of Dream Land and helped you construct Castle Dedede,” Bandana Dee said.
“Just a couple years later, I stole all of Dream Land’s food. And once you came to the castle to smack me up I first met you in person, Kirby," Dedede said while looking at the pink puffball.
“Poyo,” Kirby said. He remembered his first adventure, which was a breeze; Dedede hadn’t put up much of a fight back then.
“Dedede...” Taranza said as hugged Dedede with all six of his hands. “I had no idea that you were forced into all this. I never got to say this, but i’m sorry for what I did to you. You didn’t deserve to get caught up in such things.”
“Quit your moping, everyone! It’s party time!” Pinkie said as she dropped down out of nowhere.
“Ahhh!” they yelled in surprise as Pinkie pulled out a cake with the words victory written on it in frosting with a crown made of frosting on top.
Meta Knight gave Pinkie a confused look. “How long were you up on that roof?”
“I have no idea!” Pinkie said in her usual excited tone.
“Oh. Well, let’s get out there and party!” Dedede said, they walked out and into the massive party that was taking place.
A few hours of nonstop fun later, Marx came over to him and Kirby who were enjoying some fruit punch. “Hey guys, I used some magic and made a mini dimension containing a gourmet race course for you!”
“Excuse me?” Dedede said. After reluctantly agreeing with Marx, he and Kirby stepped through the portal Marx made to his pocket dimension. There was also a floating camera following them to put on a screen on the party stage so that everyone could spectate.
“All right, first one to eat more food and make it to the finish first wins!” Bandana Dee said on stage, Chrysalis frowned from her cage in disgust at the event that was about to unfold. It was stupid, like come on! Racing while stuffing your face? That's just worthless. Bandanna Dee nodded to Pikachu on Marx’s hat who he had talked to before about what he was to do. “Three!” He counted down. Kirby readied himself as he jumped into a nearby copy essence to obtain the Wing Ability, giving him a feathered headdress and eagle wings. “Two!” he continued. Dedede got into a running position. “One!” The tension was high.
“Pika!” Pikachu yelled as a thunder cloud was summoned above him and struck him with lightning, strangely not harming him, but creating a loud boom that started the racers off. Dedede gained an early lead as they ran through the ethereal plains eating grapes, strawberries, popcorn, and more! Kirby used a Condor Head to speed ahead of Dedede while picking up some candies and two Maxim Tomatoes. He flapped his wings to quickly fly up a vertical shaft while scooping up some corn with Dedede floating his way up right behind him. They soon swam through some water while Kirby picked up a few bottles of soda. Dedede ate up some popcorn as he rushed into the block section catching up to Kirby. They flew up through the clouds eating more and more food. After reaching the top, they came in for the final stretch with Kirby swallowing a Maxim Tomato right at the very end before the finish line.
“Kirby has finished first!” Bandana Dee announced. He quickly tallied up the food eaten. “The winner is…” Bandana Dee said as the points came in. “Kirby!” Kirby and Dedede came out of the pocket dimension and got back on the stage Kirby waved to everyone with a smile while Dedede sat behind his arms crossed. Suddenly, a wind gust blew into Kirby's smiling face. Kirby looked up to the sky. A familiar blue Halcandran ship was overhead, and the residents cleared out as the Lor Starcutter landed on the stone pavement. The door opened soon after, and as soon as it did, many familiar faces and friends emerged.
“Poyo!” Kirby cheered as he hugged Magolor.
“KIRBY!” Magolor cheered as he hugged him right back. “It's so good to see you again!” His friends ran up as Francisca and many more friends came down the ramp.
“Sister!” Zan cheered as she floated up and hugged Francisca. A Burning Leo, Gim, Nesp, Poppy Bros Jr., Parasol Waddle Dee, and more Waddle Dees soon followed.
“Where have you been?” Driblee asked.
“We crashed far away on Mt. Aris, and we thankfully got the Lor back up and running thanks to these brave fellows here,” Magolor said as two eagle-like creatures emerged from the ship as well as a unicorn and a catlike creature.
“Queen Novo?” Celestia said “What a surprise!”
“A surprise indeed,” Tempest said as she trotted onto the ground at last.
In the hour that followed, Canterlot went back to normal while everyone retreated to the throne room. Capper took the opportunity to snag a couple sweets from the kitchen while the banter continued.
“...and then Whispy lit on fire and we recovered the mast and more Energy Spheres, and we also did that victory dance you like to do, Kirby,” Magolor explained. Kirby smiled happily when Magolor mentioned the victory dance.
“Interesting how the malfunctioning hyperdrive was able to bring Cookie Country to Equestria” Meta Knight said, “but I suppose it just goes to show how much accustomed the Lor has become to Pop Star and its surroundings.”
“Okay, so now the only ones left missing are Dark Meta Knight, Flamberge, and the Squeaks,” Driblee said, but as she finished, a strange light came in through a window and absorbed itself into Celestia.
“No, no...” Celestia said in horror.
“What is it sister?!” Luna said with concern.
“Cadence has sent word that Sombra is back,” Celestia said with fear.
“How!?” Twilight said in shock
“I don’t know, but according to this, he’s taken over and has brought strange new creatures to help him.”
“Hmm...” Meta Knight asked, “Does this Sombra use powerful dark magic?”
“Yes,” Celestia said.
Meta Knight sighed. “I think I know who’s behind this.”
“Who knows how much power Sombra could get from Flurry Heart and the Crystal Heart!” Twilight exclaimed. “We need a faster way to get up there since teleporting there is too far and the trains are most likely down.”
“Ahem,” Magolor said while smirking under his hood. “Forgetting something?”
Kirby was never happier to be back inside the Lor. Everything was the same as before, even the Copy Essences Magolor had collected for him back on Pop Star. He didn’t know why, but the weird bug queen was coming with them. “Poyo?” Kirby asked Meta Knight who was reading a book in the corner.
“Dedede is forcing her to come with us," Meta Knight replied. "He wants her to deal with the things we face to get home as well as use her as a meat shield. Don’t worry, if she gives us any trouble Dedede said he’ll smack her with his hammer."
Celestia was coming with them while Luna was staying in Canterlot. After around half an hour, everyone was ready to go. Magolor booted up the Lor's systems while everyone went to the crew's quarters to relax on their journey to the crystal empire.
Zan looked out the window at the dark thunder clouds. “Francisca?“ she asked.
“What's wrong, sis?“ Francisca replied.
“What if Flamberge is up in this corrupted area? You know what happened last time we were infused with dark power,“ Zan told her sister. She thought back to when Hyness had infused them with darkness for his own personal gain during his battle with Kirby after his hood was knocked off. “Besides, we were wrong; the dark lord turned out to be a god of destruction. And in the end, Kirby still rescued us despite what we had done. You know, at some point I think we owe Kirby and his friends an apology for what we did. What do you think?“ she asked.
“Yeah, I think so,“ her icy sister said sympathetically.
Suddenly, the Lor began to rock and shake as if there were a storm. They all hurried up to the control room (except Chrysalis who refused). “Magolor, what the heck's going on?!“ Dedede yelled over the lighting strikes.
“This is really bad!“ Magolor said as he put up the Lor's emergency shields. “The engine has taken a hit, and a really persistent cloud is trying to destroy us!“
“Pssh, cloud? No problem, let me out there and it'll be gone in less than ten seconds flat!“ Rainbow Dash bragged.
“No, you don’t understand! This one has somehow gained sentience, and it's attacking us!“ Magolor warned.
"Aw, come on!" Rainbow pleaded. "I'm awesome at dealing with clouds!"
Magolor sighed. “Fine. If you really think you're so tough, go out there and get it off my back!“ He pressed the emergency hatch button and a hole in the roof opened. “You guys better go with her and make sure she doesn't get hurt,“ Magolor said. They followed Rainbow dash to the Lor's rear where the cloud rose up to them.
“I beat up clouds every morning! Bring it on!“ Rainbow Dash said. Suddenly, the cloud grew spikes on itself from all sides. Electricity gathered around it, and a single eye appeared in the center.
Kracko flew forward while firing spinning electric beams from himself before summoning a Chilly which Burning Leo melted into a puddle. Kracko charged up and fired a lightning bolt at Marx first before unleashing acid rain upon Twilight as she guarded herself with a magic shield. Pikachu unexpectedly jumped off Marx's hat in front of him and took a bullet for him.
“Pikachu!“ Marx cried in fear for his friend as Pikachu began to glow.
Pikachu's skin turned orange, his tail grew longer and thinner, his rosy cheeks turned yellow and his electrical powers multiplied. “Raichu!“ Pikachu said as he returned the lightning bolt back to Kracko while he was busy preparing to swoop down at them, catching him off-guard as his eye faded to reveal...
“Doc!“ Meta Knight said in shock.
Doc growled at them as he popped the cloudiness of his machine back up. He looked to have a dark aura around him of which they didn’t know. “Fools! You will never reach the king’s empire alive! Taste lightning!“ He fired another lightning bolt and dispensed a Waddle Doo as he then dived at them. They made sure to jump over him when he dived while Kirby inhaled the Waddle Doo to gain the Beam Ability. Kirby dropped a energy barrage at Doc as he dived at them again, slightly slowing him, which allowed Eevee to jump off Marx’s hat and headbutt Doc’s cockpit! Twilight and the others were firing magic beams which helped to disperse the clouds around Doc’s Mecha Kracko alongside Dedede burning the rest off with a hammer flip and Meta Knight slashing off a couple of the electric rods. Once Doc’s machine was exposed for the hunk of metal that it was, Twilight grabbed it with magic and as she slightly fluttered into the air, she slammed it on the Lor's roof with magic and held it down as Raichu delivered a final blow.
“RAI!” Raichu screamed as he made all the clouds around them rumble as lightning struck the exposed machine. Doc ejected himself and his UFO and made a speedy getaway north while Mecha Kracko’s remains fell into the snowy valley below.
“We did it!” Bandanna Dee cheered.
The Lor was still shaking, though, so they went down to Magolor. “I saw what happened,” Magolor said. “Why would Doc attack us like that? We're friends now! He mentioned a king of some kind... I can only assume he’s been corrupted by Sombra.” Suddenly, the Lor’s alarm sounded and smoke and fire poured out from the Lor’s rear. “Shoot,” Magolor said. “We're going to have to make a crash landing. Hold on for emergency brakes!” They grabbed on to the underside of the control panel while the Lor plummeted at high speed toward the snow-covered tundra below with the windows being covered in snow as blistering winds began to whirl around them.
“Poyo...” Kirby said weakly as he awoke. Everyone was unconscious, but the Lor didn't seem to be badly damaged besides the engine which was pouring heavy amounts of smoke.
Kirby and the bug queen were the only ones still conscious. “Explain this disturbance, you little devil.”
“Poyo!” Kirby said with an angry look.
Chrysalis face-hoofed. “Just speak up! Talk!” the queen said in anger.
“Poyo,” Kirby said while shaking his head. He walked over and woke up Marx who eventually helped everyone else up. Kirby told Meta Knight what happened, and he made sure to tell Dedede.
“I’ll keep a close eye on her,” Dedede said.
“Alright everyone, I’m gonna stay here and get the engine back up and running. You guys go on ahead. According to the Lor, the empire should be around ten minutes away, so you're gonna have to walk the rest of the way. Good luck,” Magolor said.
And with that, they exited the Lor and began to trudge across the snowy plains with Burning Leo using her fiery hair to keep them warm.The blizzard was brutal, Kirby's eyes stung, he shivered like a hummingbird’s wings, and despite Leo’s attempts, they were freezing cold. On the horizon, Kirby spotted the empire. It was so hard to make out in the blizzard, but he saw a black spire at the top. There was also a train station near them, and it seemed abandoned.
Eevee was shivering on Marx’s hat, but after they passed the train station, Eevee jumped off into the snow falling beneath it and re-emerging in a new form. “Glaceon!“ Eevee said as Driblee picked her up and placed her on her crown which slightly froze into ice from the storm as Eevee's now white and blue paws touched it. Eevee now had a crystal-like design in the vein of ice crystals and now seemed happy and making snow angels till they caught up with her.
The closer they got, the more dark magic filled the already cold air around them. After a while of trudging in the cold, they finally reached the empire which thankfully had some kind of aura the prevented the blizzard from getting in. The streets were abandoned, but once they reached the gate to the now dark black castle, weird ponies began to come out at a fast rate to surround them, causing Fluttershy to cower. Then through the crowd, a few familiar faces came but with a twist: the Squeaks had black skin now and Daroach now looked the same as when he was possessed by Dark Nebula; Storo’s muscles were bigger; Doc had repaired his UFO; Spinni seemed faster and carried shurikens that held dark magic; and the Squeakers had mad faces as oppressed to their usual smiles.
“You are trespassing on the great King Sombra’s empire! Leave or die,” Daroach said.
Meta Knight, who didn’t have the nicest first impression with the Squeaks, spoke up. "I’ve cleansed countless individuals, and you will be no exception!” Meta Knight announced as he drew Galaxia and lit it up with lightning magic.
Daroach gave a sneer grin as they charged in ready for battle. Daroach started by teleporting all over the place and charging up his blizzard staff while Storo threw a few heavy punches. Doc, hungry for revenge, fired some lasers and a couple napalm bombs while Spinni dashed around and threw shurikens and the occasional bomb. The Squeakers simply hopped around trying to be some kind of nuisance to them. Daroach teleported behind them and fired his charged ice beam, freezing the few who didn’t manage to get out of the way. Doc dispensed a few weird-looking waddle doos that were black as opposed to their usual orange. Daroach set off a few fire bombs to limit their maneuverability as Storo went to take advantage of it with a ground pound on top of them. Glaceon and Driblee used water and ice to stop the bombs while Celestia and Twilight put up shields above them but struggled to throw Storo off of them due to his weight. Kirby inhaled some stars launched by Daroach's Triple-Star Cane and spat them at Storo, causing him to be knocked back and flinch a little. Applejack was having trouble catching up to Spinni to buck him while Doc capitalized on Applejack's failure and used the Electro Whip that he installed into his UFO. It was similar to Kirby's Beam Whip. Rainbow Dash rushed in and slammed hard into Doc's UFO, cracking the glass slightly. Daroach teleported up to Meta Knight and began to use his sharp claws to cut him. Meta Knight parried the scratches then countered with his Meta Multi Thrust combo, knocking Daroch back. Celestia used a shield to help protect them while firing concentrated light at the Squeaks.
Doc fired a bigger napalm at Kirby, who inhaled the blast gaining a new ability. “Bomb!“ Kirby said as he now had a blue one pom pom jester hat and carried a bomb in his nubile.
Raichu tried to electrocute Spinni but he dodged it just in time.
“Kirby I have a idea!“ Marx yelled over the explosions and spells. Kirby ran through the chaos and dove toward Marx, just barely avoiding a bomb from Storo. “Kirby, this may sound crazy but… inhale me!“
“Poyo?!“ Kirby said in surprise.
“Just do it! Copy my immense power and be sure to spit me out after doing so!“
Kirby nodded sadly as NESP let out a burst of Psi energy, leaving the Squeaks wide open to attack. Kirby, with a heavy heart, inhaled his best friend while Raichu jumped off Marx's hat. Kirby copied Marx's power then spit him out inside a star toward Daroach, knocking him out of the sky. Kirby then gained one of his most powerful abilities as he announced, “Crash!“ He now had a rainbow version of his regular crash helmet, with far more cosmic power. He began to build up energy.
“Everyone gather around Kirby!“ Meta Knight said.
“Are you crazy?!“ Francisca said as she began to charge up her soda blaster by shaking the glorified Super Soaker to make it more explosive.
“Just do it! Trust me!“ Meta Knight said. They all gathered around Kirby while Celestia held her shield up.
Kirby began to scream with power as he charged himself up, his power building rapidly. Celestia's shield began to crack as Kirby completed his charge.
“Alright everyone, now shield yourselves as hard as you can! Get down!“ Meta Knight said as they all gathered up and shielded themselves with Kirby now outside the shield.
And then Kirby unleashed the Supernova. The force was unlike anything they had ever felt. The explosion continued for two straight minutes as the explosion formed a mushroom cloud as Kirby did a flip, letting out his power in one massive explosion. If you were just passing planet Equis, you would see the Crystal Empire engulfed in a bright white light. As the explosion and smoke finally cleared, the Squeaks and the crystal ponies now looked normal again. The darkness that was with them had left them and now gathered into a ball that flew up into…
Kirby woke up from the explosion he caused with crash feeling weary and tired, that is until he felt a healing spell touch his eyes. The dark cloud around them filled his eyes again as Twilight explained to him what his explosion caused, “I don’t know how your even remotely able to be so powerful and weird, but I’ll just treat you the same as Pinkie, weird but helpful at the same time” they entered the castle and headed up numerous staircases until they reached the top floor where a girl fiery spirit awaited them. “Sister?” Francisca said as she tried to reach out to Flamberge who had her back to them “ow!” Francisca said as her hand gained a blister by simply touching her shoulder, Flamberge despite the pure rage that was very obviously showing outside and inside her remained silent she turned around a drew her sword she floated up to mid-height as even her eyes went ablaze with agony, rage, frustration, she took up fighting position and yelled out as the battle began “FLAMMEE!!”.
VS Blazingly Dark General: Flamberge
Flamberge immediately started out by jumping over them while fling a couple small fireballs from her sword, she then clashed with meta knight briefly before dribble blew a streak of bubbles at flamberge’s hair extinguishing it briefly for twilight to land a small shot of magic to flamberge’s spine causing her to fall on her back. Apple jack galloped in to hold flamberge down but she lit her own body ablaze briefly then got back up and jumped into the air, she used fire to make her sword longer then began jumping around with it like a pogo stick attempting to skewer them. Thankfully they were able to dodge then had to duck from the oncoming stream of fireball launched afterwards, while Flamberge briefly recovered from the attack driblee jumped up under her and geysered the water from her crown as a projectile at Flamberges hands. The attack knocked Flamberge’s sword away and she immediately dashed toward it to pick it back up, Dedede tried to knock her away but was met with a hard punch from flamberge as she slid on the ground and retrieved her weapon. But thankfully Kirby was able to inhale a piece of flamberge’s hair and one quick swallow later Kirby grew a crown of his own that lit ablaze and turned the color red.
“fire!” Kirby announced as he did a fire dash at flamberge that she was barely able to block. But it turned out that Kirby’s dash attack was just a distraction as glaceon let out a chilly breath at flamberge from behind that was quickly followed up by a magical blast from Twilight, the blast knocked flamberge against the wall who then got back up and summoned her pot cannon and turned the intensity level to maximum firepower, “you’ll never beat me or Sombra!” Flamberge yelled out “Not when I shift into maximum overdrive!”. The fuze was quickly lit and dwindled even quicker, the group rushed at her with driblee shooting a water jet at the fuse but instead of going onto the fuze itself it created a ball of water that went up the ignition line with the fuze, the two elements combined caused the cannon to overload! “Uh oh” Flamberge said as they all stared at her in an awkward silence. The cannon then began blasting fire and bouncing off the walls and ceiling as if it well as bouncy as a ball going in all kinds of erratic directions while Flamberge screamed as she held on tight, eventually the cannon bounced toward the throne room door and crashed right through it where two dark figures as well as Cadence and Shining Armor who were both chained up sat near the throne of dark crystals “not the entrance I was anticipating but for your standards I should’ve expected as much” a regal yet dark and menacing voice said from the throne, it was Sombra.
"So the worms come out of the dirt at last" Sombra said as they stepped into the royal hall Cadence and Shinning Armor had passed out on the floor earlier, and starting at them was Dark Meta knight cloak wrapped around him waiting for when Sombra gave the word to strike. "I see, despite not knowing your power has grown considerably". The group looked around, they didn't feel stronger at all "I don't need more power my awesomeness alone is enough to blind you!" Rainbow Dash said cocky as usual. "I'm talking about only that thing" Sombra said pointing a hoof at Kirby who stood with a blank expression "you don't recognize it but you somehow are getting stronger by the minute, it baffles me how but even with it this should put you in your place!" Sombra charged a dark blast fired it off a few moments later "SHADOW FLARE!" he cried as the blast tore forward. Kirby heard screams echo around him as he felt the immense darkness surge at him but some how he felt nothing no pain, no burning, no cold, nothing.
Kirby felt nothing around him no floor, no walls, no weather, it was like he was in some kind of black void, and when Kirby opened his eyes thats exactly where he was, with one acceptation, there was a human bigger than Adeline dressed in orange and black armor standing ahead of him arms locked together behind his back and on his back two draconic wings twitched upon his back connected but not quite it was like they didn't belong there at all. "Lets get straight to the point" he said "you and your friends did not belogn where they ended up so i'm here to fix things" the man sighed "this never would have happened if those two dam temporal events didn't happen simultaneously!"
Kirby didn't know what the man was talking about as he rambled on about stuff Kirby didn't understand eventually he stoptted and turned back around to Kirby, "sorry for going off like that but this has got to be fixed so what you have to do is not swallow or spit things out as stars unless its some kind of projectile ok? can you even understand me at all?" Kirby nodded. "Thank you at least you can udnerstand what needs to be done and you aren't a complete infant intellectually still" the man took a deep breath "so yeah i'm going to send you back and you need to not kill anything and befirend everyone you see if you can alright?" Kirby nodded again.
"Great!" the crazed looking man said "then lets just get this fricking over with i've other stuff to do today like helping the doctor upgrade his computer or going to the store and trading with shady website dealers to get big shot soda" the mans hand's lit up and a great white light filled Kirby's eyes.
Sunlight touched Kirby's eyes as he awoke, he was in his house on popstar again in bed, like it was all just a dream. So if that weird human guy was right? Kirby heard a crashing sound outside, he ran out the front door to investigate and it was true, the dark hearts were raining from the sky again, he was back on Popstar, finally he was home. "Hey Kirby wait up aren't you gonna want breakfast?" a familiar voice rang out from behind him "what the..." Marx said looking up at the dark hearts raining down across popstar, "screw breakfast we gotta check this out!" Marx said excitedly as he spied the pattern of the dark hearts path, most of them were falling to Castle Dedede. Marx began rolling his way to castle Dedede on his ball, Kirby would have been interested in the hearts before but now he knew what was coming he knew what those hearts could do, and he knew exactly who were coming to collect them, Kirby ran after Marx and their adventure began anew.
Kirby's adventure went pretty much the same, he gathered his friends recruited queen driblee from her underground kingdom and made their way towards castle dedede. There was one major difference Kirby never ate his enemies or spat them out as stars he let he either got abilities from his friends projectiles or projectiles from enemies, and more importantly Kirby never kill anything or allowed his friends to kill things, he threw friend hearts at everything, friend or foe they would help in this new mission he had taken on.
His friends questioned Kirby's orders on occasion but considering how Kirby had handled all threats before this it seemed to them that Kirby had just wanted to try something different this time, his mentor Meta Knight was a little more persistent with wanting to know why though. Kirby pressed on though they would stop at night sometimes to rest and Kirby stay up this time instead of going to sleep, he saw many things he did't before, his friends getting to know each other better, their backgrounds, their likes, dislikes, and more, but the one that obviously stood out the most of all was driblee and Marx's relationship. Driblee was the one to make the first attempt at talking to Marx and they soon began to know each other on a faster level than everyone else, as the journey toward the Jambandra base set up by magical ancients came close to its end, the two began to discuss what could possibly await them at the end of the road considering all the stuff Kirby had faced before, and on the night they entered the base, Marx made Driblee a promise "if this ends up being something like those dark matters like the one that corupted me, if it tries using you as it used me know that I will be your shield, no matter what I won't let any harm come to you" Marx Kept that promise.
Kirby confronted Hyness and faced Void Termina with more friends than last time and when it was done and Kirby woke up floating next to his friends again he smiled was it over? The portal never appeared it seemed the man's plan worked but something still caught Kirby's eye a light shinning from the alter of the divine terminis. Another adventure followed this dimension put Kirby and his friends to the ultimate test, but for Kirby it was nothing he couldn't handle. They confronted Hyness again now courpted void termina's energy and this not only lead to Kirby defeating Hyness again as well as the mage sisters but channeling his friends energy and pureifying them with a super friend heart, and with a warp star called on his star phone Kirby's adventure was finally over. But where was the man? Where was the reward he promised him?
Marx and Kirby woke up the next Moring after a long night sleep to find a strawberry cake sitting on their table, Kirby of course couldn't help himself and immediately dug in and Marx soon followed, still... Kirby wondered that world of ponies? Did his trip there mean anything? The man said that it shouldn't have happened, was this a mistake on someone's part? Was it his mistake? Kirby's? Kirby would never think that hard enough about it find out, but still, in his dreams Kirby saw memories he didn't have but felt so familiar, fighting along side a hero of light and his comrades going on wacky adventures making friends from a bat and bear fighting a dragon, to different dimensions and times, it was strange, but the most strange of all were the ones of supposedly no evil left in the universe. Hell was empty any trace of evil was gone, it didn't feel right, the smiles didn't feel like they were there, they felt artificial, manufactured, made to make others happy, almost as if they were distracting him from somthing.
The dreams were so strange and bizarre eventually on the last day he had these types of dreams he had this one. Kirby watched as a human child grew up he watched as he had fun enjoyed life and had fun with his sibling and mother and father. But then the mother and father split apart, his sibling left him, he indulged himself in hobbies to distract him and eventually he learned that he had been lied to and that the world was going down hill and no one was doing anything about it, he tired to use nostalgia to cover his tears but it didn't work he cried for days. Until one day a thought came in his head, "I can fight back" he said. He saw that other people wanted to but their leader was old and needed someone who represented this new generation who wanted to make change just as much as he did. He vowed to one day find them and lead them in revolution against the overlords that had wronged them and fix the world, Kirby hadn't seen another dream of the boy since then, the last dream he had of that boy was him at his desk on a strange device doing something what it was he didn't know maybe he wanted to try sharing his creativity with others but it seemed he was crying, was he failing? He saw things of death as inevitable, he saw things of peace before that. He was sad but happy angry but also overjoyed, he seemed emotionless but it wasn't that he was something special he mentioned names Kirby heard in his other dreams, Eragon, Kirby, Asriel, Twilight, Bartok, Lizzie, Driblee so so many names. He was going to be free someday the boy thought, "I will fight for it with everything I have" he said, he wouldn't have a good life so instead of hurting other's lives he said no instead i'll sacrifice my own for others, sometimes I have to think of myself but I mainly think for others. Voices began to echo in his head, he saw destruction death blood, but also happiness in that he saw absolute death but he was not dissuaded. He march on trying to get help from anyone he could, and right before Kirby's final dream stopped and the sun rose again, he heard a single sentence, "If you can hear me those from beyond my own world, please if you can hear me just say you believe in me say you think i'll win say you love me just as I do you, just please give this poor soul some hope to keep going despite everything that stands against me" "poyo" Kirby said.
Kirby woke up and watched the sun rise, the dreams would never happen again who was that man? Who was that boy? Did anything mean anything?... Kirby almost burst out crying but he felt a pom pom on his head "its ok Kirby what ever nightmare you had you'll overcome it eventually you always do, i'm here for you, even in the dark of the future"
