Nice long slow deep breaths. That was all the doctors told her as Twilight breathed through a black rubber mask on her muzzle that was connected to a anesthetic machine. She was at the Ponyville General Hospital in the delivery room wearing a sea green hospital gown where she was giving birth to her first child that was due now. Ever since Twi and her friends defeated Gridor and his evil guild Eques has grown in technology and medical science along with many other things.
Then Twilight married Flash who was now an elite head commander of one of Equestria's new armed forces in the Army branch. Ever since their wedding the two were happily together with Spike in Ponyville now they going to have their first kid and have a family. Doctors said to the royal couple that the foal was going to be a colt and after several months of development it was time to bring her new child out.
Twilight looked around her as the room looked like an operating room with the same kind of light and equipment used in operations as she breathed in oxygen and the anesthetic that was just administered to her a few minutes ago. The anesthesia that was being used to sedate her was different and more advanced. It was like laughing gas to numb pain and put her to sleep, but was made to make sure that the newborn foal in her belly was safe. All the doctors and nurses were wearing surgical gowns and clothing as they prepared for delivery, but Twi would have to be sedated first for the procedure they were planning to do for her since she grown to Luna and Celestia's size.
Twilight never had a child born before and she was scared about the wellbeing of her newborn son that was still in her body. Cadence talked to Twi about her experience when she gave brith to Flurry Heart and it wasn't pleasant, but for Twi she was having her son in a hospital which was a safe place to have a child. However this didn't help calm her down about something going wrong. What if something went wrong with her procedure that could put both herself and her son at risk? What if she didn't survive the procedure? Or maybe her foal will have a sever medical condition that could cripple him for life or even cause him to loose his life?
Twilight began to panic a bit with the possibilities until she felt gentle rubbing on her right foreleg and saw one of the nurses which was a unicorn mare rubbing her hoof. The mare then said to Twi in a kind and calming manner, "It's ok Twilight you'll be fine just relax and breath deeply."
Twilight nodded back and took a deep breath as her breathing began to calm down as she heard the muffled breathing from her mask. She kept taking deep breaths as she looked at the anesthetic machine that she was connected to and saw a black rubber breathing bag hooked up to it. The bag inflated and deflated for each breath she took as the gas was slowly started to take effect.
A few seconds later Twilight started to have tingling sensation which went down her body and her hearing became more acute to the sound of the hissing gas she was breathing to her own breathing as well. She knew what was happening as it was almost time for her to go to sleep and when she next wakes it will be when her newborn son comes into the world. Twilight could still feel the gentle rubbing from the mare next to her and was trying to tell her something, but her breathing and hissing of the gas made it hard for her to hear what she was trying to say, so Twi kept breathing just like how she was doing.
Then her eyes began to get blurry as Twilight started to close them as she was lured into a sedated sleep. The doctors and nurses noticed this and started to prepare to deliver Twi's newborn son. All the sounds around her made Twi feel calm and closed her eyes at last as she heard her breathing one more time until complete silence came as her body went numb.
Seconds later Twi opened her eyes to see a underground cavern of some kind. It was dark with nothing around her just rocks and boulders and she had a strange feeling that something else was in here with her and felt strange energy too. The energy that Twilight sensed felt alien and also very powerful in a strange way. It was like it was elemental energy of some kind, but she doesn't know why it felt like this.
Then a faint amber colored light shined in the darkness which caught Twilight's eye filling them with curiousity and began to walk forward for the light. The light seemed to be showing something to her like it was guiding her to its source. Twi didn't know why, but it felt like it was very important for some reason.
The light got a bit brighter as Twilight found the source of the light as she saw a large amber colored crystal in front of her. She was amazed by the size of the crystal and knew Rarity would have a field day with this in making an outfit with the amber colored crystal. But then she saw two figures inside the crystal and got closer to take a closer look to see what was inside it. When she did the lavender Alicorn saw two dragons and they were nothing like Spike and the dragons of Equestria. These dragons had four legs and looked alien in appearance one was a familiar black dragoness with magenta colored wing-membranes and platnuim chocker on her neck and other was a certain heroic male purple dragon with a golden underbelly, horns with a zigzag pattern, and wing membrains in a peach color. Both dragons appeared to in a deep sleep of some kind and it felt like they were waiting for someone to awaken them.
Suddenly the crystal glowed in a bright amber colored burst of light which blinded Twilight as she saw images flash through her mind. Many of the images were of the two dragons with ponies and stallions that she didn't recognized, but many of them showed her of herself and her friends along with their husbands and their future kids along with Flurry and Shining. Then there was a image of strange spaceships coming for Terra and sounds of explosions and battlecries came as she saw a image of the purple dragon that was frozen in the amber crystal opening his wings and released a photon blue colored beam of light before everything went black again.
A few minutes later Twi heard her breathing again and it was muffled like when she was put to sleep. Then a light started to appear in front of her which started to get closer and heard a male voice she could recognize, but sounded muffled, "Twilight… honey can you hear me?"
Twilight got closer to the light and in a white flash everything in the black void vanished. A few seconds later Twi opened her eyes and saw a blurry sight with colors around her with two figures in front of her one of them was right next to her on her left side. She noticed the black rubber mask was still on her muzzle and was breathing oxygen from it now as the anesthetic began to wear off. Soon the blurriness began to fade away as her eyesight became more sharper and shapes began to form. Then the figure next to her which had the male voice she heard earlier say to her, "Easy Twilight it's just me."
Then the second figure said to the first figure and it sounded like the nurse that helped her calm down when she was put to sleep, "Sir you may want to let the anesthetic wear off from your wife first. She may be a little woozy."
At last the blurriness faded away and standing next to her on her left side was Flash wearing a surgical gown and a surgical cap on his head. Flash smiled at Twilight who was glad to see him knowing everything went well for her delivery. Then the unicorn made that helped Twi calm down during her procedure pulled down her surgical mask with her right foreleg as a smile came on her face and she had a surgical blue colored coat. The mare then said to Twi as she tried to move her numb body, "Easy Princess Twilight your body is still numb from the anesthetic let me get that mask off your muzzle."
Then the unicorn's horn glowed in a surgical blue aura and the aura appeared around the mask on Twilight's muzzle and took it off as she breathed in fresh air for the first time before she had that mask on muzzle. Twi then coughed a bit before looking at the unicorn and asked her, "Thanks for taking that mask off my muzzle that rubber smell was a bit much. Anyways how did everything go with my delivery?"
The unicorn made smiled and said to Twilight, "Everything came out fine your son is live and is remarkably quite healthy for his age."
Twilight sighed in relief and was glad everything came out well. But she didn't know the mare's name so she decided to ask her it. Then she said to the mare, "Can't thank you enough for helping me calm down during my procedure. I was kinda scared back there. By the way what's your name anyway?"
The blue mare just chucked and said to the Princess of Friendship, "It's alright Twilight many ponies and stallions get scared when they are going under anesthesia and to answer your question my name is Stichers Patch. I work here at hospital as a surgeon."
Flash smiled at the unicorn surgeon and said to her, "Thanks for being with my wife throughout the delivery Stichers."
Stichers bowed in respect and said to Flash after the complement he gave her, "It was my honor Prince Flash."
She then came out of her bow and said to the new mom and dad with a smile, "Now then you two ready to see your new son?"
Flash and Twilight nodded in reply as Stichers left the delivery room that was being used as Twi's recovery room to retrieve their new addition to Twi and Flash's family. Both Twi and Flash wondered what their son will look like and was he going to be a unicorn, a Earth stallion, or a pegasus with a chance he might be an alicorn since Shining was the first Alicorn stallion after he discovered his true potential. No one in the country or the other nations have ever seen a alicorn colt before and it could be a rare sight.
A few minutes later Stichers came back as she brought in a object in a blue blanket with her magic and levitated it to the royal couple as it landed on Twi's left foreleg. When the two looked at what was in it they saw a turquoise blue colored newborn colt with a royal blue mane with a lavender purple stripe which had the same style to Twilight's mane and Flash's handsome look with a turquoise blue horn on his head sleeping peacefully. Twi gasped quietly and looked at Stichers with a very happy look and it made her look like she was going to cry from utter joy and said to her, "Is this?!"
Stichers nodded and said quietly to the royal couple, "Yes your majesty that's your newborn son."
Flash and Twilight couldn't be more happier than they were in their lives as they now have a son. Then Stichers added to the new family saying, "Also your son is an Alicorn."
Twilight and Flash were surprised, but they hid their shock as they looked at their son who was still sleeping. Flash then looked at Twilight and said to her, "He's perfect right honey?"
Twilight nodded in agreement replied back to her husband with a smile, "He is Flash."
Then Stichers asked the two with a smile, "So what will you like to call him?"
The two new parents looked at each other and smiled they wanted to have their first kid to be named for Twilight's side of the family while the second child would be named for Flash's side before looking at Stichers as Twilight said to her, "Quazelight Sparkle."
Stichers nodded in agreement as she liked the name which sounded perfect for Quaze. She then walked out the door and closed it behind her to allow the new family spend time with their newly born son. Both Flash and Twilight knew it was going to be a hard job raising a alicorn colt since Flurry Heart was a hand full when she was born, but they were prepared for it.
As the early morning went on as the sun began to rise Twi and Flash could tell that Quaze would have a bright future ahead of him. They also knew that the little turquoise blue stallion will become a great leader just like themselves. But what the family didn't know was that Quaze will play a major role in a battle that will share the fate of their world and another world along with fighting beside a legendary purple dragon to defend peace against a evil force.
