How did that happen!?!?!?!
It was just another Saturday in Canterlot City. Rainbow was in her room with Pinkie Pie watching videos on Youtube because they had nothing else to do. Twilight, of course, was reading books at her house, Sunset and Fluttershy are playing the squirrel game (which Sunset still sucks at it so she wants Fluttershy's help to try and master it), Applejack still had to do work at her farm, and Rarity still had work to do at her boutique. Pinkie knew that everyone else was busy, so she decided to stop by Rainbow Dash's house so she could do something and not be bored out of her skull.
"OOOOOOOOOHHHH!!!!" They both cringed as they watched the most painful video of a man breaking his back after falling off a railing on his skateboard.
"It’s so hard to watch that poor man. I can’t look!" Pinkie said using her hands to cover her eyes from the horror that they had Pinkie just watched.
"I thought he was going to pull it off, but he didn’t!" Rainbow said as her hands followed suit.
"He’s probably going to be in the hospital for the rest of his life!" Pinkie said with horror. "Click something else! CLICK SOMETHING ELSE!!!"
Rainbow immediately switched to a different video. This video was a dog that was trying to drink from the water stream of a hose.
"aAaaaawwwwwww!!!!!" they both responded to the cuteness they just witnessed.
"Pinkie," Rainbow said, deciding to be the first to speak up, "This is so cute it should be illegal.".
As Rainbow continued to watch the video, she began to hear a wheezing sound. As she turned to look at Pinkie, she saw her starting to hyperventilate.
“Are you okay?” she asked with concern.
"Rainbow, switch to something else!" Pinkie said while she tried to get her breathing under control. "The video is so cute it's making it hard to breathe. Quickly!!!".
Before Pinkie could pass out, Rainbow switched to another video, letting Pinkie regain her breath. The next video was about a son who was playing Xbox instead of doing his homework, despite his father telling him he could not until his homework was finished. His brother tells his father, who proceeds to smash his Xbox.
"That poor guy," Pinkie frowned, "He didn’t deserve that."
"Well, it's his fault for not listening to his dad by not doing his homework," Rainbow retorted.
"Don't say that, Rainbow! He deserves a smile!!" Pinkie said she gave a huge smile.
Rainbow only responded with a groan as she switched to another random video.
The next video is of someone reading comments left by people who cannot spell ‘Pregnant’. 30 seconds in, both Rainbow and Pinkie couldn’t contain themselves and burst into laughter from the sheer absurdity of it all.
"I can't believe that some people are so dumb that they can’t spell “Pregnant’," Rainbow said.
Pinkie couldn’t stop laughing. "Rainbow... please click... something else.... before I die of laughter!!" she gasped out between laughs. Rainbow complied and switched to another video.
The next video confused Rainbow and Pinkie. It was titled "Ghost," but it was's just a normal video.
"Huh?" Rainbow said, leaning her head a bit closer to the monitor.
"There's no ghost in this video..." Rainbow said as she stood up, moving her head even closer to the monitor.
"It's just a... car driving on the ro-" before Rainbow Dash could finish her sentence an ugly ghost lady showed up and screamed into Rainbow's face.
Rainbow jumped back into her seat, clutching the back as she started to make various faces from being scared; Pinkie just stared at her. After about 15 seconds, she calmed down.
"Pfft, that wasn't scary. It was just a cliche jump-scare," Rainbow said, trying to wave off what had just happened. "Let’s just watch people at Canterlot high embarrassing themselves on video."
The first video that came up made their eyes widen in shock. It was a recent live-stream from Rainbow of her getting jump-scared, with the highlight being the various faces she made during her 15-second freakout.
Rainbow started to panic "WHAT THE, WHAT? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!?!?!?" she began to panic, mashing random buttons on her keyboard. However, this didn’t accomplish anything and she ended up just opening more tabs and windows, all of them with the stream playing.
"STOP IT! STOP IT!!!!" Rainbow screamed. Pinkie tried her best not to laugh and tried to explain what was's going on.
"It's your fingers silly. You accidentally started streaming your webcam with OBS, and you just didn’t notice," Pinkie said in a matter-of-fact voice, only to get grabbed by Rainbow Dash.
"IT'S NOT FUNNY PINKIE! JUST DO SOMETHING!!!" Rainbow said in panic. But the only thing that Pinkie did was to close all but one tab.
"IM DOOMED!!!!!" Rainbow said, covering her eyes of shame. "I broke another rule of the internet: don't post embarrassing videos yourself on the internet!!!" Rainbow cried out as she slammed her face on the desk.
"Don't be embarrassed, Rainbow," Pinkie said as she tried to pat Rainbow's head. "It's part of the circle of life; a drop of embarrassment in the ocean of shame."
"Anyway, I'm sure no one has seen this yet," Pinkie said as she refreshed the page, only to show the viewing statistics were at 10,000 views. Wait no, 1,000,000. Soon, it was almost 10,000,000!!!! Much to Rainbow’s dismay, the number just kept going up.
"HOW DID IT GROW SO FAST!!?!. THAT’S NOT EVEN POSSIBLE!" Rainbow once again slammed her face on the desk.
"Well on the plus side it can't get much worse," Pinkie said. "Besides, it's the internet Dash. It will die as fast as it started"
"PINKIE HELP ME!!! DO SOMETHING!!" Rainbow cried out in a panicked voice.
"Like what?" Pinkie asked.
"ANYTHING! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!" Rainbow then started to go a bit insane. "JUST DO SOMETHING!!!"
Pinkie just deadpanned at the obvious solution, which was to just't delete embarrassing videos on youtube. So while Rainbow was panicking (more like "Twilighting"), Pinkie just went over to the computer, went into the options of the embarrassing video, and hit the button "Delete".
Before Rainbow started to rip her hair out, Pinkie stopped her. "You do realize that you could just delete the video, right Dashie?"
Rainbow then blushed because she didn't realize that in her state of panic. Plus, the whole debacle had brought more viewership to the channel, especially the skateboarding video with Tank. "Well, thanks for pointing that out. I think I’m better now.".
Trying to forget about the whole thing, Rainbow started to go back to browsing for videos. "Well, let’s look for some more funny videos..." but Pinkie stopped her.
"I think that's enough internet for today. Let’s not make that mistake again," Pinkie said as she shut off Rainbow's monitor.
"Well, what do we do now?" Rainbow asked.
"Video games?" Pinkie said.
"Sure, why not?"
But Rainbow forgot one thing about the internet: embarrassing stuff, especially that which is taken down quickly, often reappears.
But that’s tomorrow’s problem.
