It had been six months since Dan’s return to earth. Getting adjusted back to the human world was different. Sometime he would accidently slip Pony words when he was talking. He would play it off like he meant to say it without getting judged looks. He hated the looks people gave him. After twenty-four years of living among friendly kinds of creatures he had completely forgot humans were selfish beings. Not all but some of them
When he got back all he had to remind him of the place he loved so much was the necklace that had come back with him. He would wear it all the time. Even though the magic was gone in it he felt closer to his old life while he wore it. Even when he was down all he did was look at the necklace and remind himself what he promised to his friends.
Most people could see a change in him but they were not sure what it was. His parents noticed his diets changed. He never ate meat anymore. He always asked for fruits or vegetables. They did not know that he was now more use to eat plants then dead meat. He would do as he told without compliant or arguing either. He was more of a broken person than anything as people who knew him would say. He never told anyone what had happened to him.
He could barley watch the show anymore. He would break down in tears if he did. Sometimes when he was sure no one was around he would cry. He cried because he missed his family and friends. Though he would mostly cry because he couldn’t see Luna anymore. He missed her the most. The way she use to laugh at his lame jokes or how he could just be himself around her.
Sometimes he wished he didn’t have the memories. They were unbearable to think of and caused him to get depressed. Other times he blessed those memories. They shone through the darkness that he felt. Making the hurt subsided for a while. Not long but he was glad for it.
Today he found himself playing Skyrim. It was nearing midnight and he had planned something. He shut off his Xbox and TV and left his house. He started walking towards the park near his house. He pulled out a cigarette from his pack and let it up. As he inhaled the first drag he thought. Tonight’s beautiful. But it’s nothing compare to Luna’s night.
He smiled as the last thought left his head. After reaching the park he sat upon the hill and looked at the moon. It was full tonight. He finished his cigarette and flicked it off in a random direction. Well six month have passed and I still feel empty he thought to the moon I wish I could at least talk to you.
He looked at the night sky. He could name all the constellations in a heartbeat. He always thought it was weird that the star were the same here as it was in Equestria.
He closed his eyes as an old memory came into view And that’s where Andromeda is said Star as he moved the Telescope into the right position. Twilight Sparkle looked through the telescope and wrote something down. Wow your good at this exclaimed Twilight
Star blushed a little at that “well it sort of my talent knowing all the stars” he said with a smile.
Dan opened his eyes as the memory faded away. He always let some slip through. They made him feel whole. He went into his pocket and pulled out his necklace. He didn’t want to wear it today. Too many memories filled his mind today and he didn’t want it around until now so he could remember it when he wanted too. He looked down at the jewelry. The je, was the shade of Luna’s color and it shape was a star with a crescent moon behind it. He closed his eyes so another memory could fill his mind. “I love you” said Luna “I love you too” replied Star
They were both in her bed lying down staring at each other. He held her in his hoofs wrapped around her. It was nearing midday but he always stayed with her when she asked. Her sleeping hours kept them asleep usually during the day but he would always be there when she asked. “How much do you love me?” she asked with a smile as she muzzled his face with hers. “Well” he replied “You know how big the universe is?” “Yeh” “Even the size of that couldn’t contain the love I feel for you” he finshed with a smile “Aw” she said as she reached in for a ki— No Dan thought. Just no. He couldn’t bear to finish it. He opened his eyes a noticed that he was crying. He was still staring at his Element. I want to go back he thought as tears splashed down on the necklace. I miss them. So much. He closed his eyes but refuse to play anymore memories. But Sister I miss him What was that? He thought wait I know that voice, before he could make a decision on what he heard his head split open and he fell to his knees his pain. It’s not fair he heard the familiar voice again I know dear little sister. This voice sounded older and also familiar But something’s are just out of our hoofs. But this is the best way to honor him. Don’t you agree? Yes, but I still miss him. Can’t I at least still feel that? While yes but don’t live on it. Eventually you will have to let him go. Do you understand? A little Ok then, well come on everypony is waiting. Dan opened his tried to open his eyes but the pain was too much. She remembered him. And with knowing that whatever was causing this pain can now kill him. He no longer cared as long as he knew she still loved him.
The pain eventually stopped. But he was still afraid to open his eyes. Was he dead? Or was he still alive. Before he decides to finally open his eyes he heard something. He listened closely to the noise WOSH
I sounded like rushing wind. Then he felt the wind pushing past his face. Finally he opened his eyes and saw that he was falling through the shy. He looked straight down and saw nothing but clouds. Instinctively he tried to flap his wings. But it didn’t work. He looked at his body and saw that he was still himself. Right, no wings he thought. I’m was screwed. Finally he broke through the clouds and saw what he was falling towards. It was Ponyville. From the looks of it there was a celebration going on. Well this is gonna be a nasty experience for them he thought.
Even thought he was still high up he heard a voice shout.
“WHAT IN THE HAY IS THAT”
Then he heard jets. But it wasn’t jets it was the wonderbolts. They were coming to save him. But they were too far away and he knew they wouldn’t make it in time. He needed to do something

Dan looked down at his feet and saw shadows were wrapping around his feet. For a split millisecond he was worried but then remembered what was going to happen. He relaxed and let the shadows take him.
Celestia walked up to the post. “Today marks the second year when Discord was defeated by the brave pony known as Bright Star. On this day we celebrate the peace and order that brave little pony that sacrificed so much to keep us all safe. We dedicate this monument to him”
In the center of Ponyville the new statue was unveiled. There were two images on the monument. One was of Bright Star. The other was a bi-pedal creature. Its name was Fallen Star. “As you all know Bright Star used the essence of Nightmare Moon to vanquish Discord. Though at a terrible price. This momentum honors the two forms that he used to beat Discord, May he….” “WHAT IS THAT” somepony shouted in the crowd. They were pointing to the sky. There was something falling through it. And it was heading right where they were. Celestia looked over to the Wonderbolts and nodded. But she feared it would be too late. Then something strange happened. Shadows began to surround the creature that was falling. It began to fall faster after that. Than the shadows disappeared around it. Though she still could not see it for it fell faster. Before she knew it the objects crashed a few feet away from the statue. A cloud of dirt was around the object. After a few seconds the cloud started to disappear. Finally the dirt was gone and her jaw dropped. There he stood, The Lunar Knight, his shadowy wings extended underneath his cape as he stood there.
Dan blinked as the dust finally settled. He looked down at his body. The Lunar armor had just saved his life. He looked at his back and saw his wings. He gave them a flop. They moved when his brain told them too. Still got it he thought.
He looked to his right and saw the statue. He folded his wings under his caoe and walked over to the stature. He put a hand on it and looked uo. It was of him as a pony and Fallen Star. He smiled So is that all you need? Asked the essence in his mind Yes he replied and thank you Anytime, we are a team. I would help you whenever
After that the armor disintegrated off him and blew like dust to the winds. He looked over and saw everypony staring at him. “Hi every……UGH” he never got to finish his sentence. For something knocked him down and held him there. “You’re really back” cried Luna as she buried her head into his shoulder. “I just knew you would comeback. I’ve missed you so much”. Dan could feel his shoulder getting wet from her tears. Until now he was just on the ground but he took his arms and wrapped them around Luna to return the hug she was giving him. HE inched back a little and took Luna’s face in his hands. He stared at her with a smile “I’ve missed you more than you would ever know” he finally replied to her with tears in his eyes. Luna smiled and closed her eyes and kissed him and he kissed her back. At the moment he didn’t care that he was a different species then her. This was his Luna and nothing was going to stop him from enjoying this moment. Finally they broke apart and Luna let him get back up. He looked around, most of the ponies just stared at him. He guessed they were never told the truth. “Star” said Luna as she touched his arm “Look over there” She called me Star he thought as he looked over at where she was pointing. There they stood. His parents and his friends. So many emotions where going through him right now it was amazing. He smiled for real for the first time in a long time. There was no way to describe how he felt. He decided to walk over and say hello but he took two steps and fell down. He felt so tired and groggy. He looked back up before he lost conscious. The last image he saw was his friends running towards him
Dan’s eyes snapped open at the light behind his eye lids. A light blue light filled his vision. It stung for a second but his eyes finally adjusted to it. The light came off a visor that covered his face. Over the visor was a helmet. The helmet had three lines going towards the center of his face on both sides of his head and they were stacked on each other. He was on an elevator going down. He looked at his right hand and noticed he was holding something. It looked like a gun but it was not. He took a closer look at the object. It was a plasma cutter. He blinked in amazement at the weapon. He took a closer look at what he was wearing. It was a Security Suit. Sure enough he looked at his right shoulder and the label was there. Ok he thought how the hell did I get here? Before he could think anything the lift stopped. In front of him was a door with a holographic OPEN in front of him.. Automatically he reached his hand open and went through the door that yielded to him. He entered an empty room. There was ice sticking out the side of the next pair of doors with the same OPEN sign. He moved forward and went through. This room had things in it and was very narrow. There where cryotubes in this room. He looked up and put his hands on the tube. It was colder then hell. He jerked his hand back from the tube. The moment he did this his head split open with pain. Suddenly the cryotubes where smashed and he could see the bodies inside. It was of his family and friends back on earth. WHY DID YOU LEAVE screame the decomposed body of his friend Eric He backed awat from Eric and hit his back on the next tube. He was grabbed by a pair of hands above him. WHAT DID WE DO WRONG? Yelled his mother. He broke free of her grip and stood in the middle of the cryotube. He looked for a way out but there was none. The door he entered was locked close. Then suddenly he heard smashing behind him. He turned around suddenly and looked. It was a necromorph version of his friend Nathan. It ran and scrammed towards him.
“AHHHH” Dan yelled as he awoke from his nightmare. He looked around at his surroundings. He was in the library. He looked at what he was lying on. It was a very comfortable bed. His shirt had been removed and his arm was hooked uo to a ECG machine. Breathing heavily and very quickly he let himself calm down. He was drenched in sweat from what he just woke up from. He rubbed his face with his hands. He took another glance around It was just a nightmare he thought just a nightmare
He stared at the room he was in. Sure enough it was Twilight’s place. Alright so I did come back he said to himself in the head.
He looked out the window and saw it was midday. How long was I out for? A few hours
The next thing he noticed was that he was very thristy. He got up and went to the sink. He drank as much water as he could. After he was finished he noticed he was no longer pudgy. His body had been slimed down, now he had what he would call a normal body. There were no muscle and no abs. Just a skinny physic.
He heard the door open and Twilight enter the room “I see somepony finally woke up“she said with a smile to her friend. Dan returned the smile “I just woke up like 2 minutes ago” “Splendid, how do you feel?” “Hungry” “I would think so, you have been out for the past four days” “Are you serious, four days?” “Mmmmhmmm. Celestia said that whatever brought you here drain some of your energy. Then using the lunar armor it made you weaker. So you passed out” No wonder I was so thirsty he thought “Princess Luna hasn’t left your side since you came here” Twilight said as she walked up to Dan and gave him a good look “But Princess Celestia insisted she needed to eat. So she and the others are at Sugarcube Corner. Which I think we should head on over to?” “Yeh I think we should too. But first can I get my shirt back?” “Oh yeh” said Twilight as the expression showed that she just remembered something. She went over to the closet “The other day Rarity made you a bunch of different shirts.” She pulled a green shirt out. She handed it to him. “She thought your shirt was dirty and that you might want something else to wear” Dan put the shirt on. “Can you remind me later to thank her Twilight?” The shirt was a comfy fit. It felt nice and light. “Sure will, let’s go” “Wait where’s my necklace?” Dan asked her Twilight went to the desk next to the bed and pulled it out. She gave it to Dan who put it back around his neck “OK, ready”
Dan and Twilight left the library and headed towards Sugarcube Corner. Whenever Dan looked around he saw ponies whispering. Apparently they had made the connection he was the brave hero Bright Star.
“Twilight?” asked Dan
“Hmm” responded Twilight
“Why was I at the library and not at the hospital?”
“Oh that. Well ponies really don’t know how you help you. Than Luna thought it would be a good idea that you stay at my place so I could monitor you.”
Dan looked forward after listening to this. He was glad he had good friends he could count on. Soon they arrived at Sugarcube Corner. It seemed to be closed cause it looked only like a few ponies where inside. But he figured since two princesses where in there that they didn’t want to be bothered at a time like this. Twilight entered first.
“Guess who finally woke up” she announced to everypony there.
Dan walked in behind her and saw who all was there. It was Luna, Celestia, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and his pony parents. The moment he walked in Luna ran to him she didn’t knock him down this time but she nudged her face with his. When she backed away he stared at his friends and family. He looked at his parents who seemed to be afraid of him. He dropped his head from their gaze. It saddened him to see that look on their faces. After a moment he looked back up. “Well I guess I need to explain myself” he finally said. “I think that would be a good place to start” said Celestia
He walked over to them and took an empty seat. Before he said anything Rainbow Dash got in his face and said “How can we tell this is the REAL Bright Star and not some imposter?” Dan looked into Dash’s eyes and she backed up a little in shock. He looked over to his mother and gave her a good look. His mother stared back at him. Soon her eyes began to grow as she stared. She took some steps towards him not breaking eye contact. The next thing he knew she came flying towards him and embraced him in a hug. “It’s him” she said as Dan heard her start to cry. He returned the hug and squeezed his mother. “It’s my little stallion” “How can you tell dear?” asked his father “It’s the look in his eyes. Nothing else can give that look as he can” Dan could feel tears start to come from his eyes. “Gezz mom, do you gotta embarrass me in front of my friends” he said with a smile
His mother laughed between tears. Finally she broke apart and his father came over to him. He too stared him in the eyes. Soon his mouth began to quiver as the realization dawned on him as well. His father took a hoof and placed it on his left cheek. “M..My boy” he finally managed to say. Dan smiled at him and his father finally embraced him. “My boy’s back “he said through the hug. He felt his father rub his back to make sure he was really there. His dad broke the hug and stood next to his mother. He smiled at them and they smiled back. Gone was the fear they had in their eyes. “I guess I’ll start on what I am” Dan said as he began to speak “My first name is Daniel. I am a human. A human is a being mammal. We are related to monkeys but as you can see there are some differences between us. I am from a place called Earth.” He looked at everypony to make sure they were listening to his tale. “One day a magician granted me a wish. My wish was to come here. But there was a catch. For him to do this he had to take my memory and make me be reborn into this world. Well what happened two years ago was that the spell broke. Sending me back to Earth. Any questions?” Twilight asked the first question “How did the spell break?” “Well, it was more of a failsafe then it breaking. Under the circumstances that I am pushed physically and emotionally past my pony form limits they failsafe activates and I’m sent back home soon.” “How do you know this?” asked Twilight again “I was told it when I was little. He came to me in a dream and warned me. At the time I thought nothing of it but when I got back to Earth I remembered it” Next was Celestia “How are you able to control the essence of Nightmare Moon” Normally only somepony can take a little. But not all” “That I pit a lot of thought into actually. Well let’s see, my species are sort of chaotic beings. We are unpredictable in ways. We are capable of great good or great evil. The essence of Nightmare moon is evil but we humans are more evil then it is. This doesn’t mean I’m evil it just means we humans can bear it without it being corrupted by it and don’t worry about me going all evil on you guys. It will never happen. Cross my heart hope to fly stick a cupcake in my eye” he finished with motion
Then the question he feared came up. It was Luna who asked
“When you say you wished to come here. How did you know of Equestria? Cause we know nothing of humans” This he knew might not sit well. “Well back where I come from there is this ummmmm children’s book let’s call it that. That depicted the adventures Twilight had from when she got to Ponyville to the royal wedding.”
After that Dan expected what came next. All their faces showed it. They were just told that they existed for children’s enjoyment. Let’s just say what happened next wasn’t good “WHAT” “HOW IS THAT POSSIABLE” “OUR LIVES ARE A LIE” “FROSTING WAS STUCK TO MY MANE FOR A WEEK AFTER THAT”
Everypony looked over at Pinkie Pie after that in wonder. She just smiled back and went back to what she was doing that. Finally Dan put a stop to the madness. “Hold on everypony” he said “Now before you guys flip out on that I actually have a theory on existence that implies that you are real. This also goes for me because even we humans don’t know why we are here. Now it is true that humans wrote your guy’s story but it doesn’t mean it really happened. My theory is the moment something is thought of it becomes reality. The things that actually happened to your land was real. For all I know my world could be a book. Just because you were made up for entertainment does not make you not real. Right now I’m talking to you and I could feel you guys. That’s what makes you real. Does everypony understand?”
Dan had to repeat it twice for Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. After he finished all their questions he felt his stomach growl. He was hungry and before he could say anything Pinkie Pie said something. “Come on everypony, let’s go have a picnic to celebrate Star’s return. Oh and Star you gotta meet my new coltfriend MusicNote. I just know you two will be the most best of friends” Before anypony could say anything she went behind the counter and grabbed 2 picnic baskets. Everypony just agreed to do because they didn’t want Pinkie Pie sad. “Are you coming too Princess? Asked Twilight Sparkle to Celestia “I guess I can take a day off to relax with my favorite pupil” responded Celestia with a smile.
And with that they left for the lake. All planning on having a good time. For soon the good times would be gone.
The walk to the lake was very eventful. Some of Dan’s friends would pop up on the way there. They were shocked at first cause of his appearance but after Luna insured that it was Bright Star they warmed up to his new appearance. They talked and chatted with him as if he was still in pony form. Final when they reached the lake Pinkie set up everything within a second. Soon everypony was playing and having fun. Dan was happy he was back, back to his real friends and family and to be back in his real home. Soon Pinkie popped up with another pony Dan didn’t know. “Hi Star or Dan… or whatever since you will be called Star soon anyways.This is my coltfriend MusicNote” she explained very fast as she pointed to the pony next to her. She went up to him and gave him a big kiss” We are so in love. Me and him having been dating for the past year.”
Dan blinked had everything he just heard. That was a lot to take in within 15 seconds. He looked over at Luna but all she did was shrugged and smile.
MusicNote seemed kinda of quite. He was a unicorn with a gray coat. His mane was colored black and white the same for his tail. His cutie mark was a music note. He also wore a pair of headphones.
“Pleased to meet you MusicNote” Dan said as he held out a fist. MusicNote was shy at first but after pinkie nodded at him he put a smile on his face and put his hoof up to Dan’s hand.
“it’s a true honor to meet you” MusicNote finally said to Dan. Dan smiled at replied “thanks.” Dan thought of something and looked at MusicNote
“Come with me real quick” He and MusicNote went over to the lakes side and stared at their friends playing.
“So you’re dating Pinkie, right” Dan asked MusicNote seemed hesitant to say anything but managed to finally say something “Yes”
“Alright,” Dan said as he turned to MusicNote “I’ll warn you now. If you hurt her me and you are gonna make cupcakes you got that?” MusicNote stared at Dan in wonderment what that meant. They way he said sounded like making cupcakes was bad. “I got you” he replied
“Good. Now let’s go party.”
Every now and again Celestia would go off and move the sun but she would also enjoy herself. She even got in the water which surprised the hay out of Dan. Rarity and Twilight didn’t go into the water they manly stayed out. Eventually Dan and Luna got bored and joined the others. Dan taught them how to play chicken. It was him and Big Mac vs Luna and Celestia. Him and Big Mac lost everytime.After the fourth game Dan called quits and got out the water. Luna and Celestia where running around the water with their hoofs up in the air. That was a sight that made Dan nearly die of laughter.
When he went to retrieve his shrt it was missing. He looked around but didn’t see it. Then he heard the bushes near him move. Finally he knew where is shirt was. “Oh I wonder where my shirt has gone is it here” he said looking up at a tree branch. Giggling came from the bush. “No than maybe it’s here” he said as he plunged his hands into the bush.
When he did that three images popped out and tackled him “Star” screamed The Cutie Mark Crusaders in unison. The all nudged their faces into his shoulders. “Hi guys” Dan said as he rubbed their heads.
Scootaloo had his shirt on her head. “Scoots, can I please have my shirt back?” he asked “I don’t know. Do you think you can catch us?” Scootaloo said as she and the other two ran around keeping the shirt away from him. “GIRLS” screamed Rarity as she walked up to them “Give back that shirt to Star?”
They payed her no attention “Girls” she screamed “Arg. Fluttershy” she called over to Fluttershy ”Can you be a dear and tell the girls to give Star back his shirt. It was very delicate to make”
Futtershy smiled “Of course, Girls” instantly the three friends zoomed over “Yes Fluttershy” the said in unison “Do you think you can give back Star his shirt”
The three friends went over and Dan picked up his shirt. He smiled as the three friends went off and played more. “Thanks Flutters” Dan said as he hugged his oldest friend. “Don’t mention it” replied Fluttershy as she flew off to join Twilight. He put the shirt back on and remembered something. “Oh and by the way Rarity thank you for the shirt. How much do I owe you? I think I might have some money back at my house” “Oh don’t mention it darling. It’s free of charge. But if you need more I will have to charge you for those” “Alright Rarity, I’ll keep it in mind”
Soon it was Luna’s turn to raise the moon. The only ones left was Dan the two Princesses and the Mane Sic plus MusicNote. Dan started at campfire and they all gathered around it. Luna was leaning up against Dan and had a smile on her face. He did as well. Then out of nowhere he got a crazy idea. “Hey MusicNote do you think I could get a guitar?” “Hold on” said MusicNote as he went to the nearest tree and pulled out a guitar. “I have guitars stashed everywhere. You know for guitar emergencies” Dan stared at him in amazement Ok he thought I guess he’s the perfect pony for Pinkie then “Ok guys I’m gonna sing you a song from my world” He plucked the strings and began Am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up? Am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck? Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?

Celestia had returned to Canterlot a while ago. “Do you think you can come with me back to the palace and stay with me for the rest of the night?” she asked still leaning up against him “Sure” he replied. They both got up and Dan put out the fire. “Twilight taught me the transport spell, so I think we can get there fast” Luna said
And for the rest of the night Dan stayed with Luna in the throne room to keep her company. Untill morning finally came. Finally Luna lowered the moon for the last time that day. “Come with me” Luna told Dan as she led her to her bedroom. It had been a while since he had been there He smiled at all the old memories. “Come sit with me” she coaxed him over to her bed Dan knew where she was leading him but he was not going to go that far. He was a human and it was wrong.
“Do you think you can sing another song. One for just me” she asked him as she curled up next to him.

Finally their lips touched and Luna gave him the most passionate kiss he had ever gotten. Soon she was on her back as they continued. No Dan thought This is wrong. I’m a human. I can’t do this “Are we having problems?” Said a voice in his head He tried to break the kiss when he heard the voice “Don’t worry. This is happening within a fraction of a second” explained the essence of Nightmare Moon “Now as I said are we having problems?” What do you think he thought back? “Is it the whole human and pony thing cause if it is I can fix it” You can? “Yeah so the moments you break this kiss watch and be amazed and then I’m out” After that Dan broke the kiss with Luna and felt a strange sensation. It tingled at first but then he felt normal. He looked at Luna’s face and it was in shock. “You turned back to normal” she said in amazement “The essence helped me” he said with a smile and continued the kiss.
That night Luna and Bright Star let nature take its course. Like so many other mornings they had before.
Dan’s eyes where closed but he knew he was no longer in Luna’s bed. The mass he was lying on felt different. He heard the sound of tides. He opened his eyes and saw he was outside. He got up and looked around. It was an island he woke up on. How did I get here? He thought
He looked down at his body and saw he had returned back to a human. He was about to question more things but he was lost in the peace of the island. The sea breeze felt good on his face. The sun was high in the sky with few clouds around but it was a cool day. To his left there was a pier with three small boats docked near it. To his right there was a circular plateau near the beach. There was a bridge connecting it to the island. Behind him there was mini waterfall when you got off the beach. This place seems familiar he thought trying to think of where he was.
Before he could think of anything else a cold wind swept in. Then before he knew it darkness blocked out the sky. He could still see the island but he could barely see.
He saw images flat against the surface of the sand moving towards him. He backed away from the images. Soon the popped out the ground and started closing in by him. There yellow eyes staring at him, there small bodies inching ever so close. Wait he said himself as he finally knew what was going on.
As a last effort he thought out his hand and willed the weapon he needed to show. With a small flash the keyblade appeared but it was not the keyblade he was expecting. It was a very dark blue with black edging around it. It was short as well. The keychain attached was a crescent moon.
Without a second thought he began to attack the heartless around him. Yet he knew that it was helpless for he knew what was coming next. He looked behind him and saw the monster of a creature.
Just as he expected it was the first boss from Kingdom Hearts. The battle that went on was the same as the one Sora had with it. At the end Dan stared down at the defeated monster. Why is this happening again?
As soon as he thought that darkness grabbed him and pulled him down into the void. “No’ he yelled as it was pulling him. It was hopelessly continued to struggle. Soon there was nothing but darkness. This is it he thought this is the end
He flet he was floating in nothingness but he heard a voice through the darkness. “Can you forgive the darkness in your own heart?” it asked “I don’t know” “Then how do you expect to protect your loved ones?”
Dan didn’t respond immediately. He had to think for a second on that. “With love” “But that is where the darkness lays” “Then I will overcome that darkness. Even if it is in my heart” “Good” ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Dear wake up” Luna said as she nudged Star.
Star opened his eyes slowly. Still groggy from the morning he spent with Luna. He was back in his pony body. He looked out the window and figured it was between three or five. That was the usual time they woke up. But then again I never was in that body. It was all a dream he thought.
He looked over at his love that was lying down staring at him. “Have a good dream?” she asked “As always” he replied with a smile. He leaned forward and kissed her.
“So I was wondering something?” she asked after they broke apart “And what is that?”
She seemed hesitant at first but finally said “Are we gonna go through with the plan we had before you were taken from us?” It took Star a second to get what she was saying. When he remembered he nodded his head at her. “Of course” The biggest smile he had ever seen came across her face. She leaned forward and kissed him more. After that she got up quickly and said “Come on we gotta tell Tia”
She grabbed him with her magic and she bolted towards the throne room. Star was still sleepy and didn’t resist the magic but eventually he started moving all his limbs to try and escape. “You do know I can walk or fly alongside you right?” he said to her.
She stopped and released him.
“I’m sorry” she said while blushing “I’m just excited that’s all”
“I know” he said as he rubbed his head with hers.
Finally they reached the throne room. When they got in they saw not just Celestia there but also the Mane Six. When they all saw that Star was back in his pony form they asked how it happened, He didn’t tell them what was happening when he turned but he told them that the essence of Nightmare Moon turned him back. Then it was his turn to ask what they were doing there. Apparently, Celestia had called them there to see if the elements of harmony could turn Star back into a pony.
“Seems you guys wasted a trip here huh” Star said to Twilight
“Not necessarily” said Luna as she walked up to them “I wanted them to hear the news as well”
“What news sister?” asked Celestia
“Well Tia and you guys before Star went back to earth he asked me something” Luna began holding so everypony could hear. “What was it Princess?” asked Twilight “He asked me to marry him and I said yes” Luna finished with a smile.
All their mouths hung open at the news. Only Pinkie Pie was smiling. “I just knew you guys would get married. Your such a good couple and you two are so in love. OOOOOOOOOOOO can I plan your wedding party please please please?” “Of course you can” said Luna. “Do you think you all can actually? You made Cadance and Shining Armor’s wedding great. I was hoping you could do the same for me” Luna said with a nervous smile “Of course we will” said Twilight “Won’t we girls”
They all nodded in agreement.
The wedding was not going to be for another month they decided. Luna was all caught up in the wedding plans that Star was would get a lot of free time to himself. He would occasionally join Luna at some of the wedding plans but often he would leave cause he knew he wouldn’t be that much help. The only wedding he had ever been to (that’s including Earth as well) was Shining Armor. He hoped he would not go through what he did
“My son is going to be Prince of Equestria” said Star’s Mother as she was baking him cookies. He stopped by his parents to tell them the new. Even though he was sure everypony knew cause Pinkie Pie told them. “You’re gonna be Canterlot royalty”
Star topped over at Fluttershy after that. He knocked on her door and Angel answered. Soon Fluttershy walked up to the door. “Hello” she said as she hugged “Hey Flutters” he said as he returned the hug” I got something I wanted to ask you?” “And what’s that?” “Well I thought about. Actually I’ve been thinking about it since I asked Luna but do you want to be my best mare?
Fluttershy’s jaw dropped. “You have been my oldest friend” Finally she shook her head/ Star smiled and hugged his old friend.
The only thing Star had to actually do for the wedding was get music. It took him awhile but he finally got an idea. He went to Music Note the following day to get what he needed. “Hey” said Music Note Sup” said star as he gave him a hoof shake. “I need you to do something” “And that is?” “Take this list and find the ponies ob them and give them this” he handed over a satchel. “Alright thanks”
After that Star went to Rarity’s to get his suit. “Hey Rarity” said Star “Why hello darling” responded Rarity as she was measuring a dress “Are you here for your suit?” “Yeh’ said Star as he grabbed his suit from Rarity “So um what does Luna’s dress look like?” Rarity gave him a look. “What” responded Star “We both now it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride’s dress before the wedding” “Ahh thought I tried anyways. Well see ya later Rares”
Before Star knew it was week before the wedding. Everything was all ready. All guest where check for coming. Not a single threat to Canterlot. Star was getting very nervous as the day drew nearer but he shrugged it off as pre marital chills. He was at his house tonight because he and Luna decided to stay away for the next week. As he lay going to bed he was thankful nothing had happened.
Two shadowy figures were sneaking around Canterlot. They made their way to the elements resting place. They snuck in without alerting any guards. They went to the chamber and nabbed them
The one pony looked to his partner “The foals, their so wrapped up in their wedding plans that security is low”
His partner nodded in agreement and as quick as they were there, they were gone.
Star was awoken by the loud knocks on his door. Groggily he got up and opened it. It was Twilight Sparkle. She had a look of fear on her.
“What’s wrong?” he asked as he stared at his friend in wonderment
“Quick we need to get to Canterlot, the Princess has sent a carriage for us and the others” Twilight explained quickly as she grabbed him and lead him to the carriage being flown by Canterlot Guards.
“Whoa hold on, what’s going on?” asked Star who was now fully awake
“No time to explain, we need to hurry”
Within twenty minutes they landed outside the throne room. Star still had no idea what was going on. Twilight was freaking out the entire way there and she refused to say anything. The others were just in the dark as Star was. They all ran towards the throne room as the doors magically opened. Inside were Celestia Luna Shining Armor and two other ponies. One Star seen around before the other was a complete mystery.
“I’m glad you all could make it” said Celestia “Something terrible has happened” Great thought Star that’s what I get for hoping nothing would happen.
“Late last night somepony stole the Elements of Harmony” Celestia told them
They all grew silent when they heard that. Their looks told everything but Star was the one who finally asked the question. “How?”
It was Shining Armor who answered though. “It seems due to the upcoming wedding, the elements chamber was left unguarded. The thieves broke in a took them” “Do you know who stole them?” asked Twilight “We have an idea, that’s why these two are here” Celestia said as she pointed two the two ponies next to Shining Armor “This is 8-Bit and Starstrung”
8-bit was a white mare Pegasus. She had Pink and Red hair with a star attached at the end. Her eyes where near the same color as Fluttershy. Star could not see her cutie mark
Starstrung was a deep blue colt Pegasus. His hair was spiked back with a light purple near the beginning but faded into white. His eye color was the same as his coat. His cutie was a guitar. “Starstrung. As in the descendant of Starswirl?” asked Twilight “The very same” answered Starstrung “So do you know who took the elements?” asked Dash “Well we believe that her sister Glitch” Starstrung nodded over to 8-bit “And my Brother Psycostrung stole them” “And how did you guys come to that conclusion?” asked Star “Well the other night” said 8-Bit “I overheard them talking. I didn’t hear all of it but I did hear something to do with the elements of Harmony. When I went to go talk with my sister about it last night she was gone. So I went to go find Starstrung to tell him what had happened and see if we could stop them but it was too late” she finished hanging her head “You did the best you could” Celestia reinsured her “How would you have known they were being serious” “But there’s something I don’t understand. Actually two parts” Star began to ask “One why didn’t you just come to Celestia in the first place and two even if they do have the elements they can’t use them” “The reason I didn’t say anything was because my sister and his brother are highly unstable. I just thought it was their usual crazy talk but something they did say disturbed me enough to finally confront Glitch about it then again I probably would have gotten nothing out of her. The only pony she ever talks to is Pycostrung. The other times she’s just quite. “And I can answer your other question” said Starstrung “Seeing as he is my brother he too is a descendant of Starswirl the bearded. The magic he contains is strong enough to fool the elements into believing they represent themselves.” “So you’re telling us that not only are these two completely insane but that they now wield the most powerful objects if this world?” Star asked
The two nodded to his question. Star looked over to Luna who was just in enough fear as the rest of them were. This was bad. Star had never faced this kind of problem before “What are we going to do?” Star asked finally. “We are going track them down and take back the elements before they do any damage. 8-Bit has already told us where they are headed.” Answered Celestia “Where” asked Twilight “Our old castle” as she regarded Luna “Seeing as we are dealing with Pycostrung me and Luna will be going along with. Our powers combined will aid in the defeat of these two”
Seeing as it was Celestia word nopony disagreed even though Star thought he should just go himself. He thought he had a better chance getting them back.
Celestia looked over to Shining Armor as said “With my absence you and Cadance will rule until my return. This will be short I don’t want Cadance to overwhelm herself with raising the moon and sun”
Shining Armor nodded at Celestia. Within the hour all nine ponies where off deep into the Everfree forest.
The walk through the Everfree was quick this time. There were no obstacles to clear and challenges to be met. They arrived at the crumbling castle quickly. They all entered through the crumbling arches and saw the two thieves. They had all seven elements with them “Look baby we have guests” said Pycostrung who was near identical too his brother except his coat was dark and the same with the mane. “Oh and it’s Canterlot Royalty. Shouldn’t we consider ourselves lucky”
Even they way he talked Star was sure this pony was crazy. He had heard that kind of voice back on Earth in crazy people.
His companion didn’t say a word which creped Star out of this world. Creepy silent types he didn’t like much. Then he saw her eyes. One eye was yellow the other looked like it was full of static. When Star stared into it he felt like he was going to go insane. She wore a shadowbolt uniform. Underneath her coat was a dark blue and her main was cyan. “Return the elements and no harm will come to you” said Celestia “I don’t think so princess” replied Pycostrung with a wicked smile “Then you leave me no choice. Sister if you could please” together both alicorns rose into the air and closed their eyes. Magic filled their horns and shot magic towards them but the elements deflected it. “It’s no use, as long as we wear these your magic can’t harm us”
And finally it began. Glitch moved around the room in speeds Star had never seen before. She knocked them all down and returned to her lover’s side.
Only Star got back up. He had been hit way worse then that. “And I see the newbie wants more babe, maybe you should give him the double tap” he finished with a wink
Before Star could register the words he felt himself getting hit constantly. After the fifteenth strike he finally fell down. Psycostrung and Glitch stared at star with menace in their eyes. "Why are you doing this?" asked Star "For absolute power" answered Psycostrung. Glitch nodded her head. Star realized that she was a mare of few words. Even though at times she would attack with ferocity like he had never seen before. Not even Discord could compare to her “We are sick of the Alicorns rule. We will bring forth the new age of the ponies.” Psycostrung “And unfourtanly you our not in that vision. Good-bye”
Psycostrung pulled out a bow. He notched an arrow and aimed at Star. He released it. Then Star heard it “NO”
Time seemed to slow down when he heard the voice he looked over and saw Luna jump in front of the arrow. It collided with her and she fell. Star could feel the world crashing down around him.
Psycostrung and Glitch fell down in laughter after this.
Star and the others moved closer to Luna. Star knelt down and held her. “Why?” was all he could ask. He felt the tears beginning to sting his eyes ‘Cause I didn’t want to see you hurt” she replied as she raised a hoof to his face. Her hoof began to slide down.
Star stared into her eyes and began to see the light fading. “No, don’t go” he begged holding back more tears. “I’m nothing without you”
She smiled at him. Her eyelids began to close “I love you” was the last thing she said. Her eyes closing for a final time.
Star felt the world break before him. He had never experienced pain like this before. Never in his two lives has he gone through this. “No, please come back please. I need you” he begged more as the tears began to flow from his eyes. He held his love in a final embrace “I love you too”.
All the others were in shock at what they just saw. Celestia was near tears herself.
Star began to tremble from the sadness but soon the sadness turned to anger. He looked up at the two ponies who caused his love to die. Anger filled his face. His teeth clenched “Tia take Luna out of her and go” “But..” “I said GO”
His voiced made it clear. Celestia took Luna’s body carefully and her and the mane six left.
Finally the two ponies stopped laughing and looked at Star “Awww did we make you mad?” crackled Psycostrung
Star was still trembling in anger “You. Have. No. Idea. What. You. Just. UNLEASHED.” As Star screamed the last word. He reverted back to his human form and held out his hand. His element flew from Glitch into his open hand. The moment his hand touched the element shadows burst from it. “You will now experience true pain” he said as the shadows began to form a pillar around him.
After the pillar disappeared Fallen Star was standing there. He opened his eyes to stare down his enemy. They backed away a little in fear. Usually his eyes looked like crescent moons but now they were full moon and blood red “I am Fallen Star, I am the Lunar Knight and I AM going to kill the both of you”
Fallen Star stared at them. Waiting for their first move. His cape blowing when there was a gust of wind. Finally PsycoStrung talked “If you think that…..Omff” he never finished that sentence. The moment he began Fallen Star had move so fast that before any of the two ponies could notice. He went straight up to PsycoStrung raised his right leg and kicked the pony in the face. PsycoStrung went flying back hitting a wall and making the rubble fall on him.
Before Glitch could react Fallen Sword swung his blade quickly and sheathed it. For a moment nothing happen but then blood spurted from the wound and Glitch fell to the ground. Fallen Star decided she was going to die from blood loss.
He heard PsycoStrung emerge from the rubble but was too slow to stop the unicorn’s magic from hitting him and sent him flying back. When Fallen Star looked back up he saw PsycoStrung over Glitch’s body. He saw that there were tears in his eyes but Fallen Star gave him no pity. All he saw was payback for what he had done. PsycoStrung picked up Glitch’s elements from her body “I WILL DESTROY YOU” screamed PsycoStrung. As he started sending magic ay Fallen Star.
Fallen Star kept dodging the spell as quick as ever. Soon Psycostrung gave up on this and ran straight at Fallen Star. He knocked into Fallen Star and the fell down tumbling. PsycoStrung bashed into Fallen Star with his hooves but it seemed useless. Fallen Star’s armor was taking most of the blunt of the attack. Finally Fallen Star took his right arm and grabbed PsycoStrung by the neck and lift him back up in the ait. Then Fallen Star took him and repeatedly kept smashing him into the ground. PsycoStrung blinded him by some magic light and Fallen Star let go of his enemy. Blinded by the light he felt PsycoStrung buck him in the chest and sent him flying. He hit a pillar smashing it into bits. “Do you think you can beat me. I have the Elements” said PsycoStrung as he began to use the Elements.
Psycostrung’s eyes filled white with magic.. He held out his hoof and a sword appeared and he grew wings. The elements had turned him into the alicorn. Fallen Star stared at the wings and figured out that they would only appear with magic use like Rarity’s in the one episode. Thing was those were made out of easy flammable materials and these were made out of actual flesh but this did not sway him. ‘Aww you mad that you can’t hit me?” taunted PsycoStung as he flew over Fallen Star swinging the sword.
Fallen Star dodged ever swing and stared calmly at him. Finally he let his wings unveil. His transparent black wings flapped and he raced after PsycoStrung “Oh Pony Feather’s” said PsycoStrung as he sped upwards away from Fallen Star.
Eventually PsycoStrung stopped and spun around and swiped his sword at the oncoming Fallen Star. Fallen Star swung back and their blades met. Fallen Star swung his blade but PsycoStrung countered. Fallen Star parried the counter and tries to kick his opponent and left his left side unguarded. PsycoStrung took this to his advantage and swung his sword. It hit its mark. He sent a nasty gash through the armor. Fallen Star went back a little, he looked at his injury and then back to his enemy who was laughing at him. “See even your armor is powerless against my power” as he stretched his hands out.
Fallen Star just shook his head. With as quick as he could he went up to PaycoStrung and elbowed him with his good arm stunning him. He grabbed his opponent by the throat and they went flying down as fast as Fallen Star could push them. When Fallen Star heard the sound barrier break he flung his sword deep into his enemies chest . His Sonic Moonboom added to the power behind the sword and the moment they hit the ground it caused a small crater. His sword was stuck to his opponent who was not moving. Fallen Star backed away and started to walk off. After a few feet Fallen Star felt something pierce through him. He looked down and saw his blade with magic around. Fallen Star looked back and saw PsycoStrung standing. He was a mess blood everywhere on him cuts and bruises everywhere. “You just don’t get it do you” Fallen Star finally said. He grabbed his sword and pulled it out from his back. “I have been going easy on you. I’m trying to make your death quick. If I went my fullest I would not only destroy you but this world”
PsycoStrung ignored his words and started slowly moving towards him. Fallen Star shook his head. He went up too PsycoStrung who feebly tried to attack him but Fallen Star just grabbed his hooves and forced them into the ground. PsycoStrung tried to use his magic to get out but Fallen Star stopped him “I don’t think so” as Fallen Star wrapped his fingers around the horn. In one quick motion he broke it off. Then he moved a few feet in front of him “I tried to make this easy on you but you leave me no choice” he said “Prepare to know pain more than you have ever felt”
Fallen Star looked down at his blue bladed sword. He looked over at the crescent moon emblem and placed his hand over it. He took that hand and raised it to the sky. For a moment nothing happened but then PsycoStrung saw what he was doing. He was raising the moon. Even PsycoString couldn’t do that. His eyes widen in fear as the moon nearly got to where the sun was. Fallen Star stopped the moon and raised his sword. The sword’s blue blade started glowing a slivery glow. It was collecting the moon’s power for one more final attack. Finally when it reached full power Fallen Star swung the sword down. The power inside the sword unleashed itself on its target. The burst of energy hit PsycoStung who screamed in pain before the attack completely obliterated him. Any trace of him was gone

Fallen Star looked in the direction of the now obliterated pony. He went to leave but stopped to go and retrieve the body of other. When he arrived there was nothing but bloodstains. He looked around to see if the body was around but there was nothing. He shrugged it off even if she was alive she would be dead soon. He continued his way out of the ruins.
When he arrived outside they were all gathered around Luna’s body. “We saw the moon rise.” said Twilight as she approached Fallen Star “Is he dead?”
He ignored her words and kept walking towards where Luna was. When he finally reached her he dropped to his knees. He went to go touch her but stopped and looked at his hands, his armor was still on. He dropped his hands down and closed his eyes. He focused hard and je felt the armor fall off and then a tingling sensation. When he opened his eyes again his body was back in pony form.
He looked down at Luna’s body and wrapped his arms around her. Her body felt so limp. He put his head up to hers and nudged but she did not nudge back
He began to cry again. He held her in his arms knowing she would not move. He backed his head away from hers and closed his eyes “Please bring her back” he said to nothing “Just please”
At his final word a tear fell from his eye onto his element necklace and onto her face. His element to began to glow. As everypony began to stare in amazement at this they noticed the others did too and float to the them. Soon they all started hovering in the air. When they all opened their eyes pure magic filled them. Then from Star’s element a beam of magic hit Luna. It then made her glow a faint gold color. The elements then slowly fell back down. They all stared at Luna. Star got closer to her to see if she was ok. She opened her eyelids slowly. “Did I miss anything?” she said
Star broke into a smile and hugged. Hr rubbed his head against hers again and she rubbed back
Star was pacing up and down in the room he was in. Music Note and Fluttershy were in there. “What if she says no” he said for the tenth time to them “What if she relies there is better pony then me “Chill” said Music Note “I Doubt she will say no” “How do you know that?” “Starz” said Fluttershy using his childhood nickname “You brought her back and you promised to hold her burden I think she will say yes”
Fluttershy was being very assertive at that moment.
Star stared and then smiled “Yeh”
Then they heard the noise it was time. Star left fist followed by the other two. He took his place and waited. When he looked over the crowd he saw everypony he ever knew. Then the music began to play and his eyes rested in the middle of all them and then she began to walk down. Luna looked more beautiful as ever. Star broke out in a smile when he saw here and she did too when she saw him. The CMC where the flower girls again. Dark blue roses fell from the baskets as they hopped forward. Finally Luna reached where he was. Their eyes met for the first time in five days. They both looked up at Celestia who had a small smile on her face s well “We are gathered here today by the joining these two ponies.” Began Celestia “Their love of each other is very clear. Through hardships they have faced to make sure they were both safe proves this. If there is anypony who objects this say it now or forever hold your peace?”
Nopony said anything “Then Princess Luna do you take Bright Star for now and forever?” “I Do” “Bright Star?” “I Do” “And with in my power I now pronounce you Mare and Stallion, you can now kiss the bride”
Luna and star closed their eyes and kissed. Then many cheers where heard from behind.
The wedding party was a knock out. Pinkie had really out done herself this time. Many ponies where having a good time. Finally star went up to the DJ booth and whispered in DJ-Pon3 ear. She nodded at him and stopped the music. “Hello everypony” he said into the mi. Everpony stopped and looked up at him and cheered.”Thank you thank you. As you all know I’m not technically from here. So I had a friend of mine to go out and get some artist for me and they would record songs I knew. Well it so happens a certain pony had the voice I was looking for. Now if I may please ask Princess Luna to join me on the dance floor” he looked back up DJ-Pon3 and she nodded. He reached the dance floor and met Luna. Glitch looked up but could not make out the image. Her vision had become blurry. “I could help you? But you would have to help me. Is it a deal”

Two years after the wedding
Star was waiting in the Ponyville hospital with the others. Luna was in the delivery room for the past 5 hours. Star could hear her scream but knew he couldn’t do anything about it. This part was natural. He looked over at Celestia who also had a look of worry on her face. Finally the screaming stopped and they all looked at the doors. The doctor popped in and looked at Star “Do you want to come see your child?” he asked with a smile
Star smiled and nodded. They all followed the doctor to Luna’s room. When they entered Luna was holding the baby in her hooves. Star walked over and looked down at his son. He was an alicorn like his mother. He had green eyes like his father and blue coat like Luna. His mane was black. “What’s his name gonna be?” asked Celestia “Midnight Hour” replied Luna with a smile.
