Rarity sat in the foyer of her home, idly sketching ideas for designs as she sat on her couch. Normally she’d stay in her bedroom and do this at her desk but she was currently waiting for Sunset to arrive. It was Christmas Eve and with the rest of their friends away for the holidays with their families, the two had decided to spend a quiet Christmas with one another.

Rarity heard the light knocking on her door and perked up, setting aside her sketchbook and quickly going to the door to open it for her guest.

“Sunset, come on- oh!” Rarity showed some surprise as she looked at Sunset’s outfit, below her open coat was a Christmassy green dress with white fluffy trim and tall green striped stocking socks. “Oh my, Sunset, I wasn’t expecting you to dress up.”

Sunset blushed and looked accusingly down at herself, pulling at her coat to cover a little more.

“Is it too much? I just thought- I don’t know, I just had it around.”

“No, no dear, it’s lovely. I just feel a little underdressed now.” Rarity took a moment to look over her own around-the-house attire, a beige cowl-neck sweater that hung just over her hips and black merino wool tights. “Never mind it, dear, come on in.”

Sunset moved quickly passed her and out of the cold as Rarity closed the door. She gave herself a little shake and stripped off her coat, hanging it next to the door. The two turned and hugged each other, Sunset squeezing Rarity tight for a little extra warmth and Rarity pecked her on the cheek.

“I’m so glad I could have you over. Even if it is my own doing, it always gets a little lonely without Twilight, or even just Sweetie, around.”

“Yeah, you were saying something about your family taking a trip?”

“Yes. The parents decided to do things a little differently this Christmas. Or, well, as different as going traveling is for them. They, of course, wanted me to come along, but you know I have a terrible habit of avoiding family time. Just sort of thinking I could use the extra time for work but, well… hindsight is twenty-twenty I suppose.” Rarity shrugged and sighed, giving Sunset’s arm a little squeeze. “Not that I’m not perfectly happy to just spend it with a friend. I feel like we haven’t hung out, just the two of us, in… oh, it’s been months, I’m sure.”

“Thanks, Rare. I’m glad we could pull this together too.”

“Well, darling, don’t hesitate to make yourself at home. Have a seat. I have drinks if you’d like. There’s some champagne in the fridge.”

“Ooh, fancy.”

“Oh, nothing fancy about it, dear. It was just something I picked up for fifteen bucks. Please, help yourself to it.”

Sunset shrugged and smiled, going over to the couch and holding her dress down as she flopped into the seat. She leaned her head back, noticing as Rarity scampered out of the room toward her kitchen, returning moments later with a bottle and two glasses and setting them on the end table next to her.

“Why are these wine glasses so small?”

“Sunset, these are champagne flutes…" Rarity scoffed, shaking her head as she poured their glasses. "You don’t drink champagne from a wine glass.”

“I drink lots of things from a wine glass.”

Sunset grinned as Rarity handed her the glass before taking her own and sitting down next to her on the couch with a sip and a long sigh.

“And please, when you’re finished with that one, help yourself to-” Rarity stopped mid-sentence to watch Sunset turn up her glass, drinking it all in one go with a satisfied ahh!

“Goodness, dear. You must have something on your mind.”

Sunset set the empty flute on the table, looking up at the ceiling.

“No, nothing important. I just wanna forget about everything and relax for a moment.”

“Dear, we have all evening to relax. If something’s bothering you, what better time to get it off of your chest than alone with a close friend and a drink.”

Sunset looked at Rarity for a moment and sighed, looking off in the other direction.

“It’s not really something that’s bothering me, I’ve just been thinking too much lately.”

“Is it about the holidays? I know you can’t really go see your family or anything.”

“No, I’m used to that…” Sunset hesitated a moment to continue speaking and poured herself a second glass of champagne. “Okay fine, it’s about Applejack.”

“Oh. I know you have a thing for her, but did something happen between you?”

“No, nothing like that, er, nothing bad anyway. I was actually planning on joining in on her family's Christmas this year. But this is also the first year that Pinkie’s family and hers are celebrating together and… I just kind of thought I’d get in the way of things.”

“Aww, dear… You should have gone. They certainly wouldn’t have minded.”

“Yeah well. Like you said, hindsight is twenty-twenty.”

Sunset took another drink and Rarity scooted a little closer, rubbing her shoulder up against Sunset's in a faux hug.

“I do understand, darling. After all, I chose potentially being alone this Christmas rather than, say, joining Twilight’s family for theirs.”

“Are things going well between you two?”

“Oh, wonderfully. You know things have become a little more serious between us lately and, well, it’s been a smooth transition from where we were.”

“I’m so glad to hear that…. I’ll be there one day.”

Sunset took a larger drink and set her glass down, slumping over onto Rarity.

“Well, have you at least had fun with any girl’s lately? I hope you haven’t been holding out just for Applejack.”

“Well… I mean, Rainbow and I were hooking up kind of regularly for a while there. But the closer it got to the holidays the more stuck in my own head I got, so-” Sunset paused as Rarity brushed some of her hair behind her ear for her, and glanced up at her. “So, no. I guess I haven’t really been letting myself have much fun lately.”

“Aw, dear. You’re just in a rut. It happens to the best of us.”

“Yeah, I know. I’m sure I’ll bounce back after the holidays. Still sucks until then.”

Sunset perked up as Rarity gave her head a gentle scratch, holding her glass in front of her.

“Sunset, dear, how about another glass. You and I will just have to drink all of our holiday woes away.” Rarity said with a giggle as Sunset refilled her glass.

“Eh, no need to overdo it. Just getting to vent is already helping me get all this junk out of my head.” Sunset picked her own glass back up as she handed Rarity hers, clinking them together. “Though the drinks certainly help.”

Sunset finished off her second glass and leaned back into Rarity, snuggling up to her arm and pulling her feet up onto the couch with her.

“Anytime, darling, really. There doesn’t need to be a holiday for you to come and curl up on my couch with a drink and let out all of your troubles.”

“Thanks, Rarity, this means a lot. It’s weird to think that just a few years ago I didn’t have a friend in the world I could come to. I was so lonely back then.”

“Yes, well, those days are behind us. No need to dwell on them.”

“Oh, I don’t really get hung up on it anymore. I just like to think back sometimes. So many things have changed over the years.”

“For the both of us, darling.”

Rarity took another drink, her hand resting on Sunset’s head and idly stroking her hair.

“You know, Rarity, I’ve never told you this, but… I used to have a major crush on you.”

“You’re kidding, Sunset. A crush on me?”

“Come on, don’t act that surprised about it.”

“Well, it’s just that Dashie always had a thing for me too. Who next? Fluttershy?”

“I mean, have you seen yourself, Rare? I don’t understand how someone could look at your body and not have the hots for you.”

“Goodness sake, Sunset, you’re making me blush. Don’t let me take all the credit, you have quite the figure on yourself, dear.“

“You really think so?”

“Of course, darling. I dare say, if you had said any of this to me back in our junior year of high school, I would have been all over you.”

“Damn… that one’s gonna keep me up.”

“Is it that much of a surprise? You certainly never made your feelings known in those days.”

“Yeah, well, I had a lot of other things on my mind in those days. I mean, how many times was the school magically targeted in that one year?”

“Depends, are we counting yours-ow!” Rarity yelped as Sunset pinched her thigh and pushed the girl away. “Hey, it was only a joke!”

“Sorry, sorry.” Sunset held her hands up defensively and smirked, setting her empty glass aside and laying against the back of the couch, staring off. “It’s a little hard to take, you know? Sure I was distracted, with all the magical stuff, but I had it bad for you.”

“Goodness, I never would’ve guessed. I don’t think even Twilight had such a preoccupation for me before we got together.”

“Yeah, she’s a really lucky girl…”

“And I feel just as lucky to have her.”

“Hmm…”

Sunset leaned into the arm of the couch, letting a few moments pass in silence before reaching again for the bottle to pour another glass, looking at the Christmas tree as she drank. Rarity caught herself staring at Sunset, eyes lingering on her figure as she was curled up on the couch. Her broader than normal shoulders for a girl, the trim waist that she knew was hidden beneath her outfit, the long firm legs that spilled out beneath her dress and into her cute stockings. They drew attention to the girl’s thighs, outlining the definition of her leg muscles. Rarity had always been a little jealous of Sunset’s legs, they may not have been as soft to the touch as her own but they had such an elegant shape. Rarity perked back up, peeking over at the Christmas tree herself and standing up.

“Oh, speaking of your legs, darling.”

“What? Who said anything about my legs?”

“Never you mind, dear. I only reminded myself of something is all. Now I know we said we weren’t going to bother with gift exchanging, but-” Rarity walked over to the tree and looked back at Sunset with a small shrug. “I did kind of already have a little something planned for you. It’s not much.”

Sunset sat up straight again, her interest piqued by her prospective gift. Her attention was grabbed further as Rarity turned toward the tree and bent over, picking through the sparse gifts that sat beneath it. If not for the few drinks she’d had she might’ve felt ashamed for ogling her friend but, nonetheless, her eyes were glued. Rarity’s sweater rode up above her hips as she bent down and the way that her wool tights clung to her and perfectly silhouetted the shape of her ass was nothing short of a Christmas miracle. Sunset felt her heart flutter at the sight and she quickly downed the rest of her champagne, setting the glass aside and standing with a wobble.

“Gosh, Rarity, you didn’t have to get me anything.”

“Oh, of course not, dear. But I’ve had this one in mind for quite a while now.”

“I just wish I could do a little something in return.”

“Don’t worry about it, Sunset. Just having you here is gift enou-oh!” Rarity stood up, startled as she bumped into Sunset behind her. Sunset wrapped her arms around the girl’s waist and held her tight. “It’s quite alright, Sunset. It’s nothing much, really.”

“But Rarity, you’re so generous to me.”

Rarity gasped and dropped the gift, body tensing as she felt Sunset’s tongue on her neck as the girl began kissing her soft skin. She fidgeted in Sunset’s grasp, caught off guard by the advance and not sure yet how to react.

“Sunset, dear… w-what are you doing?”

Sunset didn’t respond, refusing to part from Rarity’s neck, squeezing the girl tightly. Rarity blushed at the strength of Sunset’s arms around her and felt herself relax. Sunset let one of her hands slide further down and Rarity startled as she felt the girl’s hand move beneath the hem of her sweater.

“Sunset, stop!” Rarity pulled the girl’s hand from between her legs and turned in her grasp, pushing Sunset away. “Really now, Sunset, that’s enough.”

Sunset took a step backward, staring back at Rarity like a deer in headlights as she stammered.

“I-I’m really sorry, Rarity. I don’t know what came over me. Maybe I-I had one too many drinks.”

“Oh, don’t you give me that, missy. We’re both adults here. We know exactly what came over you.”

Rarity placed her hands on her hips and Sunset sat back on the couch, curling up onto it with her feet again as she avoided Rarity’s gaze.

“...No, you’re right. I just… I just got caught up in the moment. I knew I shouldn’t have done that.”

“Though that was a nice kiss you gave me.”

“Really?”

“My, yes dear. You just had to go and ruin it with that naughty little hand of yours. You ought to feel ashamed.”

“I-I won’t let it happen again.”

“No, you most certainly won’t. Or I’d have the mind to tell Twilight.”

“Please don’t.”

Rarity crossed her arms as she looked sternly at the seated Sunset, tapping her socked foot with minor annoyance. Rarity turned again toward the tree, glancing over her shoulder before quickly bending down and grabbing the gift again.

“You don’t have to give me the gift if I made you mad.”

“No, no dear. I shan’t let this gift go to waste just because of your little slip-up.”

Sunset took it in hand, glancing up at Rarity for a moment before looking back at the small gift bag. She reached inside and removed the wrapping tissue, pulling out some folded cloth. Sunset looked again at Rarity unsure what to think and took two corners of it into her hands, letting it fall open to reveal it’s white face with orange and red diamond patterns along one half of it.

“What is it?”

“It’s a new sarong, dear. I made it just for you.”

“Oh… t-thank you… I love it, really! It just seems a little unprovoked.”

“Well, a bit, yes. Clear back in summer, I remember you were always staring at mine and I thought you must’ve liked my handiwork. Although, now I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t my outfit that you had your eyes on.”

Sunset blushed and looked back over her gift, smiling and folded it away.

“Really, thank you, I wasn’t expecting anything.” Sunset rubbed the back of her neck, eyes lingering on the Christmas tree unsure where else to look. “I just… I don’t like just getting something without having something to give back.”

“Hmph, now just listen to you.” Rarity shook her head with faux annoyance and stepped forward, gesturing for Sunset to sit back. “Scooch, dear, move your legs.”

Sunset slid back and unfolded her legs in front of herself, surprised as Rarity intruded upon her seat on the couch, parting her legs so that Rarity could sit between them.

“Rarity, what are you-”

“You said you wanted to give me something back, did you not?”

“Well, yes but-”

“Well, I could use a back rub. So put those hands of yours to some good use.”

Sunset blushed, not quite sure where to start, watching as Rarity brushed her hair over her shoulder to expose a bit of her neck. Sunset placed her hands on Rarity’s lower back, rubbing her thumbs lightly into the girl’s muscle. Her fingers naturally curled around Rarity’s waist causing the girl to squirm.

“Careful with my sides, Sunset, I’m ticklish.”

Sunset quickly released her hands from Rarity, her face feeling hot all of a sudden. She placed her hands a little higher on Rarity’s back, stroking her way slowly up to her shoulder blades. She couldn’t help but notice that she didn’t feel the strap of a bra, meaning that beneath the sweater was nothing but Rarity’s snow white skin and Sunset swallowed a lump in her throat. Her hands made it up to Rarity’s shoulders and she began massaging them, rubbing her thumbs gently just below her neck. Rarity reached up to the cowl-neck of her sweater, opening it up to reveal more of her neck and Sunset involuntarily licked her lips.

“Please, dear, don’t be afraid to really dig in.”

“B-but Rarity, you-”

“Darling, I get massages all the time, I can handle a girl with strong hands.”

“Oh… right, yeah.”

Sunset was glad that Rarity couldn’t see how deeply she was blushing. She let her hands slip into the neck of Rarity’s sweater, touching her shoulders directly, her thumb brushing over some moisture she’d left from a moment earlier.

“H-hey, Rare.” Sunset began rubbing Rarity’s neck now, kneading her thumbs where she hoped it felt good. “I’m sorry about before. I feel bad that I tried to do that to you.”

“Mmh, well, I suppose you’ve always been somewhat of a rascal.”

“Y-yeah, you’re right. I hope you can forgive me.”

“Think nothing of it, Sunset. I’ll just think of it as a compliment from you.”

“That seems a little too forgiving.”

“I’m the forgiving sort, dear. Though your hands are certainly helping to keep you on my good side, right now.”

“Oh…“ Sunset smiled, rubbing a little more firmly as she thought of what to say in response to that. “N-now, if I can just keep my hands on your shoulders… a-and not elsewhere, heh… uh, never mind.”

Sunset nervously laughed at her attempted joke, suddenly feeling awkward, and though she couldn’t see Rarity’s face she thought she must’ve been rolling her eyes. Rarity, however, leaned further back into Sunset, close enough that Sunset could smell the remnant lavender conditioner in her hair.

“Yes, dear, you keep those hands right where they belong. But… if a little tongue slips in there, I’ll try not to complain.”

“W-wait, what?”

“Don’t think too hard about it, Sunset. Let’s just call it part of the massage.”

Sunset’s heart fluttered at the thought, not wanting to think any harder about it. Her eyes narrowed in on the back of Rarity’s neck and her smooth, porcelain white skin, the rest of the room feeling fuzzy in her vision. Her hands spread out from Rarity’s neck and focused on her shoulders as she leaned in, her lips reconnecting with Rarity’s neck in a kiss. Rarity hummed pleasantly as Sunset’s mouth eagerly worked on her, her tongue massaging as thoroughly as her hands were.

“You know, Sunset. This may come as a surprise, being that I spend so much time alone. But I get lonely very easily.”

“Mm-hmm.”

Sunset felt Rarity lean into her a little more and let her mouth wander up Rarity’s neck toward her jaw. Her hands fell from her shoulders and began drifting back down her back.

“Twilight only just left with her family two days ago and already I’m craving physical contact. I feel like I need her attention.”

“Mmm.”

Sunset’s hands wrapped around from Rarity’s back and grabbed her small sweatered chest with a squeeze, making Rarity huff and smack her hands away. Rarity stood up from the couch with a stern expression, Sunset’s face now snapping up as Rarity’s warmth disappeared from her lap.

“Really now, Sunset! There you go again ruining a perfectly pleasant moment with those hands of yours.”

“B-but we― I mean… I thought you, um…." Sunset's voice shrank the more she tried to speak. "I-I just thought that was going somewhere else…”

“Sunset, you know that I’m with Twilight.”

“I-I know…”

Sunset cast her eyes down, looking conflicted, reaching over to the end table to grab the champagne bottle and her glass. She poured the rest of the bottle out, filling her glass most of the way and keeping the bottle upside down for a moment to be sure every last drop made it in.

“I’m sorry, Rarity. I guess I’ve also been pretty lonely lately. Getting to touch and kiss you like that just… it got me really excited.”

Rarity blushed, her stern expression softening as she looked at Sunset’s somewhat dejected face as she swirled the sparkling beverage in her glass, avoiding her eyes. Rarity caught herself looking over Sunset’s figure again, assuming it was due to her drink, but nonetheless, her eyes drifted up from her long legs, her wide hips, Sunset’s chest which was larger than either hers or Twilight’s. She lingered on the girl’s strong hands, how they firmly handled the elegant little stem of her glass, feeling a small flutter as it was brought up her lips.

Sunset began to take a drink, sputtering as Rarity suddenly grabbed her glass. She was unsure of what to make of Rarity's stare and relinquished the glass immediately to her. Rarity surprised her further as she tipped it back and downed the last of their champagne and gently set it straight down on the floor.

“Rarity, what are-”

“Shush!”

Rarity took a step forward and Sunset froze, afraid she’d offended her friend far more than she’d realised.

“R-rarity, I’m- I’m sor-”

Rarity cut her off, placing a finger against Sunset’s mouth, her brow furrowed.

“Don’t talk. And don’t move.” Sunset just stared back, her question clear on her face. “I-I just want to try something.”

Rarity climbed onto the couch, a knee on either side of Sunset’s lap and sitting on her legs. Sunset swallowed a lump in her throat at the return of Rarity’s warmth, her mind spinning, and not just from her drink, as Rarity grabbed her chin and tilted her head up. Sunset was pretty sure what was going to happen next, but Rarity’s stare was so intense that she thought it was just as likely she might bite her.

Rarity leaned forward quickly and touched her mouth to Sunset’s, gently brushing their lips together for a moment before hesitantly letting her tongue out. She licked Sunset’s bottom lip for a taste but Sunset was still frozen in place, unwilling to even return the kiss for fear she might ruin this moment too. The moment, however, didn’t last long as Rarity pulled away, looking into Sunset’s eyes.

“You could, um… at least kiss ba-”

Sunset immediately latched back onto Rarity’s lips, now returning the kiss with vigor. Rarity squealed as Sunset’s hands suddenly grabbed her sensitive sides again, squirming a little in her grip, but Sunset refused to give her a moment’s space to comment.

Sunset forgot the room around her as she hungrily tasted Rarity’s sweet champagne laced lips and toyed with her more timid tongue. She was intent on exploring Rarity’s mouth until she knew it better than her own, only parting from it to come back from a different angle.

Rarity did nothing to resist Sunset’s barrage of kisses, her voice slipping out in chirps as she attempted to speak, managing only broken sentences in the brief moments her lips were free.

“Really… Sunset… taking advant-mm... advantage of… a girl when… s-she’s alone… and vulnerable…”

Sunset’s hands wrapped around Rarity’s hips, making Rarity squeal as she suddenly slipped below her sweater for two handfuls of her ass, squeezing the round cheeks through her wool tights. Rarity swatted at Sunset’s hands but her rear remained firmly in the girl’s grasp. She managed to momentarily hold Sunset off from the kiss, giving her a severe look while breathing a little more heavily.

“Sunset… if I feel those hands going anywhere else but my rear… you will be out the front door without time even to grab your coat.”

Sunset looked Rarity directly in her eyes and pulled her in closer by her ass with another firm squeeze.

“This is all I want.”

Sunset turned to the side and kicked her foot up on the couch, laying herself back onto the seat, her dress falling to her waist as Rarity slid into place on top of her hips. Rarity leaned back down and they resumed their kiss eagerly, Rarity’s hands caressing Sunset’s face and neck as Sunset’s own hands remained rooted in the plush of Rarity’s ass, refusing to falter.

Rarity’s tongue came more alive now as they sunk into it, exploring the unfamiliar territory of Sunset’s mouth, thoroughly enjoying the touch and taste of her eager tongue. Sunset withheld her hands from exploring further, as Rarity had instructed, but tried to push things further how she could, undulating her hips between Rarity’s legs, feeling the girl’s mound grind into her navel. Sunset felt some dampness seep into her panties that wasn’t her own, grinning against Rarity’s lips as the girl on top hummed into her mouth from the pleasant sensations.

Rarity felt wary about Sunset’s motions but was getting caught up in the heat of it, surprised with herself by how worked up their kiss had gotten her: there was just something so captivating about Sunset’s mouth. Rarity was having a little trouble thinking straight at the moment, but it occurred to her that it’d been over a year now since she’d kissed anyone other than Twilight, her heart racing at the thought. She felt herself twitch between her legs and she put her hand on Sunset’s chest, pushing away from her.

“Sunset… if we keep going like this, I won’t be able to stop.”

“I don’t want to stop either.”

Sunset squeezed Rarity's ass, fingers stretching beneath her, looking lustfully into her eyes as she held the girl tightly against herself.

“No, Sunset, that’s not what I mean… we can’t.”

“Rarity, please…”

“Think about Twilight.”

Sunset knew she was right but it felt physically hard to just let go of Rarity’s body. She looked over Rarity’s perfect figure perched on top of her hips, grimacing at how uncomfortably aroused she’d become.

“Rarity… I know we should stop, but I need this so badly.”

“How do you think I feel, Sunset? Twilight won’t be back for 3 more days.”

“Ugh… no, you’re right… goddamnit. I’m sorry, Rarity, I shouldn’t have started this.”

“Don’t be, dear. It takes two to waltz.”

“You mean tango.”

“Why tango, dear?”

“No, the saying… it takes two- oh, never mind.”

“Well, I enjoyed it while it lasted…” Rarity leaned down and pecked Sunset on the cheek, resting her face on the girl’s shoulder, just lying there for a moment. “Can you please let go of my butt now?” Rarity mumbled into Sunset’s collar.

“Oh, right, sorry.” Sunset took one last second to savour the feeling of Rarity’s ass in her hands, gathering all of her will and reluctantly releasing it from her grip, gently placing her hands further up Rarity’s back. “That was harder than it looks.”

Rarity giggled a little but didn’t move, nuzzling her face a little further into the crook of Sunset’s neck.

“Could you just hold me here for now?”

“Sure thing, Rarity.”

The faint spot of moisture between Rarity’s legs remained fixed in Sunset’s mind. The way Rarity lay curled overtop of her still caused the girl’s mound to press lightly into Sunset’s navel, but for Rarity’s sake, Sunset set the notion aside for this simpler affection. Sunset held her arms around Rarity, lightly stroking her back as she lay there, enjoying the warmth of their bodies pressed together and smiling.

“Hmm, let’s just stay like this for the rest of the night…” Rarity cooed softly, voice muffled but close to Sunset’s ear.

Sunset blushed at the sentiment, giving Rarity a little squeeze in response, trying to sink a little deeper into the position. Rarity shifted a bit on top of her and Sunset sighed as another unwanted sensation sprang up between her legs.

“Uhh… hey, Rarity?”

“Hmm?”

“We’ll uh… have to cut it just a little short.”

“Hmmm?”

“I think the champagne just kicked in.”

“Mm-hmm…”

“Okay, come on, Rarity. I really have to pee.”

“Hm… move me.”

Sunset smirked at Rarity’s turn for laziness, but her bladder urged her to move a little more quickly and she attempted to sit up with Rarity still draped over her. She reached for the girl's sides but stopped, remembering she was ticklish and not wanting to disturb her, reaching down and grabbing her thighs instead and lifting Rarity’s lower half up from her lap and immediately feeling the absence of warmth. Sunset set Rarity’s legs back on the couch and took the girl’s shoulders in her arms, letting her face plop glently down into the seat cushion.

Sunset took just a moment to look at Rarity having ended up in an odd posture, her arms and legs curled beneath her with her sweater above her waist and her face pressed into the seat. Rarity, however, seemed content enough and didn’t bother to move.

“I should’ve known such a small girl couldn’t handle her drink.”

“Don’t call me small. I have a complex…” Rarity mumbled, barely audible through the couch.

Sunset just smirked, feeling another twinge in her stomach and hurrying to the bathroom. She wasn’t gone long, taking an extra moment to mull the evening’s events over in her head as she relieved herself of the spent champagne.

Sunset returned a few minutes later to find Rarity in the same position, now lightly snoozing. Sunset couldn’t help but giggle at the image, Rarity curled up with her face smushed into the couch and her ass sticking up in the air. Sunset quickly drew out her phone and snapped a photo, bringing up Twilight in her messenger.

Your girlfriend is a total lightweight.

Sunset hovered over the send button, taking her thumb away as she looked back at Rarity. The photo was kind of revealing, Twilight might think Sunset was taking advantage of her…. Sunset sighed and shook her head.

“Of course she wouldn’t. Twi trusts me.”

Sunset hit send and placed her hand over her eyes, thinking about how Twilight might take all of this if she found out, hearing her phone ping a few seconds later.

Aww cute, I'll keep that in mind.
Pat her little butt for me ok?

Sunset shook her head as she read it, wincing at Twilight’s innocent suggestion.

OK

Sunset put her phone back away and walked up to the couch, reaching her hand out to Rarity’s ass but hesitating a moment and moving it to her back and tapping her.

“Hey, Rare…” Sunset gave her a gentle shake. “Rare, you awake?”

“…Mm-hmm.”

Sunset crouched down onto the floor to get eye level with her sleepy friend.

“Is it bedtime already?”

“Mn-mmm…”

Rarity slowly but surely shifted one of her hands, pressing it into the cushion and pushing herself up, her other hand rising up to rub her eyes.

“Looks like that champagne hit you kind of hard, huh? I should probably head on home.”

This perked Rarity up, managing to sit up straight as she looked at Sunset.

“What? No, you can’t, you were drinking too. You should sleep here.”

“I mean, I guess you’re right. Are you sure?”

“Of course, dear. I insist that you stay.”

“Alright, alright… I guess I could take the couch from you.”

“Actually… I was hoping you’d share my bed with me.”

“Rarity, you don't mean-”

“No, of course not, dear.” Rarity blushed, looking away for a moment. “I’m just in a melancholic mood and Twilight’s not around to cuddle me, so it’s up to you.”

“Are you sure I won’t try and push things again?”

Rarity looked at Sunset with a mix of uncertainty and sleepiness, giving her a faint smile.

“I’m just going to have to trust you, alright?”

“Can’t say it’s the best idea. But okay, come on.”

Rarity slowly drew her feet out from under her, taking several long seconds before managing to stand up, stumbling a little and bumping into Sunset. Sunset watched the girl closely as she walked, her throat feeling a little dry at the way Rarity's sweater remained hiked up over her tights. She had to will herself to reach out and fix it, pulling the sweater back down to cover her hips. Rarity didn’t seem to even notice and made her way to her bedroom with Sunset in tow. Rarity just stared at her bed for a moment and gestured for Sunset to wait, heading into the bathroom next to her bedroom.

“I’ll be right back, dear. Just need to freshen up.”

Sunset smirked at her reserved choice of words, no need to feign ignorance as she soon heard the sound of trickling. Sunset just sat on the bed and stared at the wall, looking at the context of the situation. She’d slept over with the girls several times, she’d even cuddled with them many of those times, Rarity included. But this time it was only herself and Rarity, and the persistent tingling between her legs told her that it wasn’t just like any other time.

Rarity wandered back in and their eyes met, Sunset looking expectantly while Rarity just smiled back gently. Rarity started pushing blankets around as she crawled onto the bed next to her and Sunset stood up to head into the bathroom, Rarity looking at her curiously.

“You don’t have to go again already, do you?”

“Well…” Sunset rubbed the back of her neck, looking past Rarity as she spoke. “It’s just that, earlier I got kinda really worked up and, um… I figured if I’m going to share a bed with you then I should…”

Sunset made a gesture with her fingers that caused Rarity to blush and she went into the restroom. Rarity’s face felt hot as she heard the door close, lying back on the bed, trying to keep herself from thinking about what Sunset was going to do. She took a deep breath, her mind feeling a little fuzzy and ready to curl up under her blankets. She closed her eyes and relaxed, enjoying the soft give of her mattress, leaving her blankets bunched near her feet and letting her mind drift off.

Rarity’s eyes suddenly popped back open when she heard a soft moan from the restroom. Rarity laid there perfectly still, quietly hoping she'd imagined it but came to the unfortunate realisation that Sunset was not the silent type as the girl’s voice slipped out a second time, able to hear her with uncomfortable clarity.

Rarity closed her eyes again and tried desperately to ignore it only to discover that she could hear a faint schlicking sound as well, silently cursing her thin walls. She couldn’t help but imagine her friend’s activities going on just several feet away from her, her moans sounding almost like whining as she desperately fingered herself for some relief, and likely thinking of Rarity while doing it. A familiar heat returned between her own legs and it really hit her that Sunset wasn’t the only one affected from earlier as her arousal came surging back, stoked by her friend's sweet sounds.

Rarity reached between her legs, lightly touching her mound and feeling her hips jerk in response. If she were in a clearer state of mind, she might have thought twice about it but she’d already used up all of her will earlier to keep herself from continuing with Sunset on the couch. She needed some release and if she wasn’t going to let Sunset do it, then she'd have to do it herself.

Rarity didn’t bother removing her tights and slipped her hand between her legs, rubbing her finger over her clitoris. The tickle of the wool tights against her perked-up clit was a surprisingly sharp sensation in her aroused state and she couldn’t have held back any longer if she wanted to. Rarity felt her legs tingle and she raised her knees up as she vigorously kneaded her hard little nub, feeling herself grow slick beneath her tights. Rarity was now listening closely to Sunset’s moans as they grew in pace and in desperation, hearing the need in her voice. Rarity felt her own pleasure rising rapidly, feeling a constant buzz between her legs as her thighs lightly twitched, her tingling reaching clear down to her toes.

Sunset’s moaning became higher-pitched for a moment then sounded muffled and Rarity knew that her friend was cumming. Rarity moved her finger more quickly and firmly, jealous that Sunset was already experiencing her orgasm and wanting to push herself over as soon as possible. Rarity glanced over at the wall, the thought that Sunset’s pussy was twitching with orgasm just on the other side of it was enough to put her on edge.

Rarity thought back to when she was on top of Sunset and what might have happened if she hadn’t stopped things. Rarity had started to feel good just from rubbing against her friend's hips but Sunset certainly wouldn’t have stopped there. If she had waited even seconds longer, Sunset might have pushed her to the couch and torn off her tights, eager to find out the taste of her sex. Though, Sunset wouldn’t be as talented with her tongue-work as Twilight, of course. Rarity had become quite spoiled with Twilight’s eagerness to eat her out every day without fail, and two days off was all it took to put her on edge. Just imagining Sunset breaking her little draught, feeling Sunset’s unfamiliar tongue on her clit, it was enough to-.

“Ngh, nnnghh! Aah, S-sunset…”

“What is it, Rar-”

Sunset walked in with a blush on her face, freezing solid as she looked up just in time to watch Rarity squeeze her legs together with her hand caught between them. Rarity softly squealed as she felt her contractions, still idly stroking her clit as it spasmed. Sunset stepped closer, watching captivated as Rarity twitched with orgasm, a wet spot growing in the crotch of her tights.

Rarity yelped with surprise as Sunset touched her tensed thigh, parting her legs and registering Sunset's presence with a hard blush. She tried not to look Sunset in the eye while she could still feel her contractions fading, placing her hand over the crotch of her tights and wincing as she felt how wet they’d gotten.

“So… I guess I’m not the only one that needed some serious relief.” Sunset said softly to break the tension and Rarity looked back at her.

“Yes, well, it was kind of hard not to when I could hear you so clearly….”

“Oh god, could you really hear me? Was I too loud?”

Rarity nodded her head and Sunset’s blush grew darker, covering her face with her hands.

“Oh, what do you have to complain about? You just walked in on me while I was still… you know.”

“Sorry about that, I guess I should’ve waited outside once I realised.”

“Hm, well, we’ll call it even I suppose. Just get in bed already.”

“Okay…” Sunset crawled onto the bed next to her, Rarity closing her legs and turning over to her side. “How do you want me to-”

“Big spoon, please.”

Sunset hesitated a moment before lying down behind Rarity, pressing lightly into her back and draping an arm over her.

“Is this alright?”

“No, hold me tighter.”

Rarity’s words were a little slurred and mumbled, her drowsiness returning in her post-orgasmic glow. Sunset gladly complied and wormed one of her arms beneath the girl to fully wrap her arms around her waist, curling her own legs up under Rarity’s and pressing the girl into her lap. Sunset gave her a little squeeze and touched her nose to the back of Rarity’s neck.

“How’s that?”

“Hmm, lovely, dear.”

“You know, Rarity, despite what I tried to do earlier… this is nice. Just doing this. I think I’ve been in serious need of some cuddling.”

Rarity hummed and snuggled deeper into Sunset’s grip, reaching one of her hands down and feeling around, tapping Sunset’s leg.

“Blankets…”

“Oh, right.”

Sunset released Rarity for a moment as she leaned back up, reaching down and grabbing the bunched up top sheet and accompanying quilted blanket near their feet and pulling them up to their shoulders. Rarity hummed sweetly as Sunset wrapped her body back around her, sinking into the nest of her bed surrounded on all sides by Sunset and her covers. She felt warm to her core but something pricked at her mind.

“You know, Sunset… after tonight things have to go back to normal.”

“Why do you have to say it like that… this feels so good.”

“It’s for everyone’s sake, dear.”

"Yeah..."

Sunset grew silent, lightly rubbing her nose on the back of Rarity’s neck as she got lost in thought.

“Let’s just enjoy it while we have it. Okay, Sunset?”

“Okay…”

“And, hey…” Rarity looked back over her shoulder, seeing the sulky look on Sunset’s face and smiling. “If you’ll really hold me tight, then I might still be in a cuddly mood when I wake up.”

This drew a smile out of Sunset as well and she squeezed Rarity tightly, placing a small kiss on the nape of her neck. Sunset closed her eyes and rested her forehead against Rarity, allowing herself to sink more into their tangle as everything became still.

“Thanks, Rare.”

“Goodnight, Sunset.”

"Goodnight."
