Goddammit Derpy
It was the Grand Galloping Gala! Everypony was in Canterlot enjoying the annual event. Twilight was talking to Princesses Celestia and Luna, Pinkie Pie and Vinyl Scratch were playing some music, Applejack was selling a pie to Soarin, Fluttershy was talking to all the animals present there, Rainbow Dash was hanging out with Spitfire and the other Wonderbolts, and Rarity was showing all the dresses she had made for the event.
And then, there's Derpy.
She was also buying something from Applejack, muffins to be precise. and in the corner of her eye, she spotted something. A mysterious dark hallway, and there were no royal guards at it. ''Hey, a hallway! Let's go inside it!'' She thought to herself. She walked into the hallway, failing to notice the yellow ''Do NOT Enter'' Sign...
''It sure is dark in here...'' She said in her usual goffy voice. After walking around for some time, she began to turn around to leave. ''It Dosn't seem like there is anything here'' She thought, and right before she left, she noticed something in the corner of the room.
A big red button.
''Yay! Something was here after all!'' She said as she began to walk towards it. Meanwhile, Twilight noticed that somepony had walked into the hallway
''Oh No!'' She said as she ran towards it. ''Hello? Is anypony here?'' Twilight said. Then she noticed Derpy in the corner of the room. ''Derpy, what are you doing here?'' She said as she approached her.
''Ooooh Shiny!'' Derpy said as she raised a hoof to press button.
''Derpy NOOO!'' Twilight nearly screamed. ''Don't touch that!''
It was too late... Derpy had already pressed the button. ''Oh No No No NO NO NONONONOOO!'' Twilight screamed as she ran out of the hallway, and towards Princesses Celestia and Luna. ''Celestia! It's Horrible!'' Twilight said in a nervous voice. Both Celestia and Luna Turned around to see Twilight running towards them.
''What is it Twilight?'' Celestia said.
''It's Derpy, she pressed THE button!'' Twilight said in a very shaky voice.
''Oh...'' Celestia said. ''Luna, go get Cadence here NOW!'' She said. Luna paused for a brief moment.
''Okay'' Luna said as she quickly flew off to the Crystal Empire.
''Twilight, come with me.'' Celestia said in a very serious tone. They both ran off to Celestias throne room.
"How do we stop this?!" Twilight said as she nearly got a panic attack.
"Very soon, a massive explosion is going to completely destroy Canterlot, In order to stop it, we're gonna need all the alicorn magic in Equestria. after Cadence and Luna get back here, we're going to use a powerful spell to contain the explosion, so it will cause minimum damage to Canterlot" Celestia explained.
"But, but, but" Twilight stuttered. "We have to evacuate everypony! We can't just let them think everything is fine!" Celestia turned around and looked at Twilight
"No we can't do that, we don't want to cause panic among the other ponies" Celestia said. Twilight was visually uncomfortable.
"But what if the spell dosn't work, what if it fails?" Twilight asked.
"It will work, Luna and Cadence just have to get here..." Celestia said.
''Cadence! Where are you?'' Luna said as she wandered around Cadence and Shining Armour's home.
''Luna? What are you doing here?'' Cadence asked. Luna quickly stopped running.
''There you are!'' Luna said. ''It's horrible!'' She explained. ''Somepony named Derpy pressed THE button!'' Cadence had a look of shock on her face.
''Oh no, that's terrible! Let us go to Canterlot then'' Cadence said.
''Yes, we must hurry'' Luna said. And they both flew of to Canterlot.
...
The door to the throne room suddenly sprung wide open. Celestia and Twilight turned around to see Luna and Cadence running towards them. "We're here now!" Luna said.
"Okay, Let us begin, Twilight go over there" Celestia pointed at the corner of the throne room with her hoof. Twilight quickly ran over there. "Okay, we're all set!" Celestia said. All three princesses lit their horns together. Celestia created a small amount of yellow particles in the air then, Luna and Cadence fired two beams of magic into them. Then, they all moved it into the dark hallway where the button that caused this mess was in.
"Okay, we're done now" Luna said. Twilight ran back towards the three princesses.
"So, whats gonna happen now?" Twilight asked. Celestia had a smirk on her face.
"Wait for it..."
...
Suddenly, a quiet boom could be heard in the hallway, and soon, smoke began to come out of it. A few ponies noticed it and they began to wonder what could have caused it. ''Maybe humans are coming to Equestria!'' A certain turquoise pony said. Celestia walked out of the throne room and on to the stage where Pinkie Pie and Vinyl were playing some music.
''Please, would you turn that off?'' Celestia asked. Vinyl nodded her head and walked off the stage. ''Attention, everypony!'' Celestia said. Nearly all the ponies in the room turned around and looked at the princesses, curious about what she was going to say. ''Now, everypony, you may have noticed some smoke coming out of that hallway over there'' Celestia said. ''But don't worry, there isn't a fire or anything like that, you are all safe''
The Next Day...
Twilight was at Sugar Cube Corner, when she met Pinkie there. ''Hi Twilight!'' Pinkie said. ''What are you doing here?'' She asked.
''Oh, hi Pinkie! I was just buying some cupcakes for Spike, what have you been up to?'' Twilight said. Pinkie started to bounce up and down.
''I've been thinking about the gala yesterday! It was so much fun!'' She said. ''Although, there started to come smoke out of a hallway at some point, i wonder what that was all about'' Twilight looked at Pinkie.
''I actually know what it was that was causing it'' Twilight said.
''Ooooohhhhh, what was it?'' Pinkie asked.
''Well... Don't freak out when i tell you this Pinkie, but...'' Twilight stammered. ''Canterlot was going to blow up...'' Twilight said. Pinkie looked very shocked. and then, she suddenly screamed.
''WHAT?!''
