"Sweet Celestia!"
"Why can't you just tell her Twilight?? It can't be so hard..," Starlight Glimmer said as she shoves another book in Princess Twilight Sparkle's bag. Twilight snaps her attention to the mare, looking at her as if she were crazy.
"WHAT!??" She said, her ear twitching. Starlight clears her throat, trying to slow her racing heart. She hadn't expected her alicorn friend to react so harshly. As so as she regains her relaxed heart, Starlight opens her mouth to speak. Twilight shoves a hoof in her mouth.
"Princess Celestia is a goddess Starlight!!! A FUCKING SUN GODDESS!" Twilight shouts, causing Starlight to wince. "You can't just trot up and say, 'Oh hey Princess, you wanna go on a date sometime??',!!" Starlight frowns with a sigh.
"Of course not Twilight, what i'm saying is that it shouldn't be so hard to ease into a light conversation before finally telling her how you feel," Starlight explains with a small smile. Twilight sighs and levitates more books into her already stuffed bag.
"I don't know Starlight....What if she never looks at me the same!," Twilight says, biting her hoof from worry. Starlight sets a hoof on her friend's shoulder.
"It's Princess Celestia, Twilight...she was your Mentor and best friend. I'm sure she won't change how much you mean to her even if you have stronger feelings for her then she does you," she says softly. Twilight settles the bag on her with a mutter.
"Then why am I so scared...?,"
With a final wave of a hoof to Starlight, Twilight teleports herself in front of the doors to the Canterlot palace. Taking a deep breath Twilight knocks her hoof on the door. She tapped a hoof nervously as she waited for the over sized doors to be opened for her. Her mind began to find itself back on the thoughts of her feelings. She stood there, imagining of all the ways that telling Celestia how she felt could go wrong. Her thoughts were sliced off as the door clicked and opened. Princess Celestia stood with a smile in front of her.
"Princess Twilight! My star pupil," Celestia says, nuzzling Twilight before stepping aside and letting Twilight walk in before shutting the door. Twilight shuffles nervously behind her.
"You said you had needed to see me Princess?" Twilight asks. Celestia smiles at her.
"Indeed I did, and I do. But that can wait. Follow me please," Celestia says, beginning to walk off before stopping and looking back to Twilight whom struggled with her heavy bag. "Do leave that behind dear. You won't be needing it," she says and continues walking. Twilight sets it down and trots to catch up with her.
In no time at all, Twilight figured out where they were going, for she had the path memorized.
"Why are you taking me to the library Princess??" Twilight asked, her head tilted to the side as she looked up to Celestia. The tall white alicorn chuckles.
"You'll see my dear Twilight. You'll see," Celestia replies. Twilight blinks. Had the Princess of the Sun just.....coed...at her? She shook her head harshly with a hard blush. No way. Princess Celestia would never! It was probably just her imagination getting the best of her, again. After arriving at the library to find it empty, Twilight's mind started to pick at her once more. She shook the thoughts away and continued to follow her former mentor. Celestia smiles to the librarian with a nod before sitting by herself in the corner of the library. Twilight looked to the librarian as she left. Her and Celestia were....alone.... shit. Looking back to Celestia to find her patting the seat next to her, gesturing for Twilight to sit next to her Twilight blushes lightly and does so.
"S-So, why did you bring me here Princess?" Twilight asks. Celestia smiles and looks to her.
"One of your friends said you had needed to speak to me, even if you wouldn't admit it to yourself," Celestia says with a soft chuckle. Twilight wrote a mental note to scream at Starlight later.
"I-I....," Twilight chokes her words back down instead of letting them spill out. Celestia smiles and wraps her soft feathered wing around the younger alicorn.
"She told me this has been bugging you for quite sometime...Is that correct Twilight?" Celestia asks softly. Twilight tries to kill off her blush to only find it growing against her will.
"Y-Yes," Twilight admits. Celestia chuckles.
"Would you like to get it off your chest?" she asks. Twilight nods. "Then go on Twilight, tell me."
"Y-You see...there's this pony....a-and I think i'm in love with them," Twilight says with a deeper blush.
"Go on," Celestia says encouragingly. Twilight takes a deep breath.
"This pony makes me feel safe, happy...and like i'm not alone....," Twilight continues. "This pony has been there for me for many many years....they are kind-hearted and loved by every pony..."
"May I ask for the ponies name you speak of my dear Twilight?," Celestia asks softly, her eyes closed as she waits for the answer.
"I-It's....you....Princess Celestia....," Twilight says, looking away in shame. "I-I'm so so s-sorry..." Celestia nuzzles her former student.
"Don't be...It's okay Twilight...In fact, i'm glad you shared this with me...," Celestia says. Twilight blinks. Was Celestia....blushing?
"Your such a cute little pony Twilight Sparkle...," Celestia says with a soft chuckle. "You always have been since you were a foal....but.....You shouldn't love me...." Twilight felt her heart being ripped in two.
"W-What do you mean?" she asks, hurt as hell.
"There's so many young, good looking colts out there that would love to be with you Twilight Sparkle...why is is you've fallen for me?" Celestia asks, her face turned away from Twilight.
"B-Because I just do Princess.... You've always been there for me. You've never left my side...and..you never stopped loving me...," Twilight says. "No colt could make me as happy as you do." Celestia blinks, her heart swollen by Twilight's words. She sighs.
"The thing is Twilight....I tell you that you shouldn't love me...but yet....I find myself falling in love with you..." Celestia says as she starts to blush more. Twilight's ears perk and she ruffles her wings, trying to hide her excitement from Celestia's confession.
"Y-You do?" Twilight asks. Celestia nuzzles her once more.
"I do.."
