A New Artist in Ponyville: The Story of Creativa Artly

This is the story of my MLP OC Creativa Artly and how she came to Ponyville.

Creativa Artly was a lone artist living a lonely life on the road away from her sister and brothers back in Marison. One day, she stumbles upon the town of Ponyville thanks to a traveling art gallery she wanted to see. After the show, she grows to love the town and moves there and starts her life anew.

It's a lovely day outside as Creativa threw open her trailer window and sniffed in the fine honey-scented air that surrounded her. "Ah," she said to herself, "today is the day the traveling art gallery comes to town. I better get rolling. After all, it's first stop is a place unfamiliar to me, Ponyville, and I'd really like to check it out." She then makes her breakfast before hitching up and heading out of the small town of Lutailia. After hours on the road, she catches up to the traveling gallery and arrives in Ponyville right alongside it.

"So," says Creativa Artly to the gallery pony pulling the gallery cart, "will you let me put my artwork in your gallery now or not?"

"Sure," says the gallery pony, "once your art can start turning us a profit." I just looked at him stunned and then responded.

"My stuff turns five hundred bits daily, do you not call that a profit?"

"Okay, fine," mumbles the gallery pony, "your art can be in our show."

A few minutes later, the gallery pony pushes a button on the cart and the display stage pops out and he puts up the easels. He then puts up the art of the participating artists including my own. I was so thrilled. I then went to look around until the show began. Not long after I arrived in Ponyville, I was greeted by a very spunky pony named Pinkie Pie. "Hello," she said to me. "You must be new here. I've never seen you before."

"Uh, hi," I responded. "I'm just visiting with a traveling art gallery and this is our first stop, so."

"Oh, okay!" responds Pinkie. "Do you want to come get something to eat before the show starts then? I own a bakery."

"Sure," I responded. I then followed Pinkie to her bakery which was called Sugar Cube Corner. There, I enjoyed a nice vanilla cupcake and a chocolate milkshake. As I snaked, we joked and shared stories about ourselves. We had a blast. Not long after that, she showed me around town. She introduced me to Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Twilight along with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo.

A few hours later, I returned to the art gallery and began to show my art to the world. Everypony there loved it and one mare, a high profile pony named Photo Finish even bought one of my pieces for her mansion and another high profile pony named Coloratura bought one of my mini paintings for her mother as a birthday gift. After the show came to an end, I packed up the pieces of my art that didn't sell and hitched up my cart and went back into town. There, I looked at houses and even ended up buying one. The next day, I moved in for good. I then set up my art in the extra bedroom, which I would later convert into my art studio, then I sat down and enjoyed a nice dinner. I then went to Sugar Cube Corner where I was surprised with a housewarming party from Pinkie Pie and all the other ponies she had previously introduced me to and then some. I remember I immediately became best friends with the local school teacher Cheerilee as well as the Apple Family. Not long after that, my art began to sell quicker than I could make it. I was becoming a success. Soon my name was in the most high profile magazines in town. 'Creativa Artly: The New Up and Coming Artist of Ponyville.' 'Creativa Artly: From Nothing to the Most Successful Artist of All'. I couldn't help but squeal. I was thrilled when I read those headlines. I was up there. I was making a name for myself. That was all I ever wanted was for ponies to love my art and that dream had finally come true and then some.

A few days later, after I had settled in the best I could, I finally went to the market and bought myself from fresh apples, fresh strawberries, fresh carrots, fresh daisies, and some freshly squeezed goat milk. I then headed back home and had myself a nice little breakfast. I then went into town and put the final payment in on the building that was soon to become my art store and school. A few days after that, the payment went through and I began renovating the building which I had done within a span of ten months. The following year I opened the store and the school. Not long after that, I had students and employees lining up by the score. It was time to put my degrees in teaching, arts, and fine arts to the test.

The next day, I hastily and hurriedly got the store and school ready for the day. Not long after that, the employees and students arrived. The manager opened the store portion of the building while I opened the school part. I then got all the students placed in their seats by alphabet. We then began our first lesson of the day, the parts of the brush and the colors of the color wheel. I then soon learned that one of the ponies in the class was deaf so I had to call in a braille teacher to help her understand what we were going over. After all, if a student struggles, a teacher will do anything to help the student out. That young mare was named Tara and she turned out to be the most talkative mare in class despite her not being able to hear. I suppose I should now introduce you to the rest of my students. There's Spiral Spirit, Stella, Inkelle, Ponsietta, Apollo, Sky Whipporwill, Clementine, Angel Wings, Rainbow Trail, Moon Dust, and my youngest student in the class, Toola Roola. They are all amazing and I consider myself so lucky to be their teacher.

After two hours of teaching, we take a break for lunch before returning back to class for two more hours before the students head home for the day. Our first day of class was a success and I can't wait until tomorrow. I'm so proud of all my students. I'm so glad I get to share what I love with these young ponies that I have grown to love and consider family. Tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow is a day all the students are excited about. Tomorrow is the day they get to do their first project: a collage on canvas that is related to the theme: ALL ABOUT ME.

After the school closes for the day, I head over to the store part of the building and check out how things are going over there. Over there, everything is running smoothly which puts a smile on my face. I then go into the back part of the store and begin working on putting ribbon through some hoof painted bookmarks before I take them out and put them out on their price stand to be sold in the store with a smile on my face. I then leave for the day. After all, I know my store is in capable hooves and to me, that means the world.

A few days later, I went to the Apple Family's home, Sweet Apple Acres, for their annual Cider Festival. There, I enjoyed a nice cup or two of their apple cider as I talked with Applejack. "So," I said to her, "this is a nice little farm. You are so lucky to live here."

"Yeah, it's where all of us were born and where our parents died," responds Applejack. "We haven't left the farm since."

"Okay, that's cool," I respond with a smile.

"And where are you originally from?" Applejack asks me.

"Marison," I respond.

"Okay, cool," responds Applejack. "Do you want to stay for dinner tonight?"

"Sure."

"Great!" responds Applejack. "Can't wait!"

A few minutes later, a young filly comes up to me. "I'm Apple Bloom," she says to me.

"Nice to meet you, little Apple Bloom," I reply with a smile.

Then not long after that, two more Apple Family members approach me: a strong red stallion and a small brown filly with a red mane.

"I'm Babs," says the filly, "and this is Big Mack. We're cousins. Big Mack is AJ and Apple Bloom's big brother."

"Nice to meet you," I respond with a smile once again. I then go and get another glass of cider. I am then approached by the local school teacher, Cheerilee. She asks me to do a mural for their classroom to which I happily agree. I then begin it the next day. They want a fairytale theme to which I happily agree.

After several months, the mural is completed and I show it to Cheerilee who happily squeals once she sees it. "I absolutely love it," she says to me with a smile. "Thank you." She then gives me the payment for the piece, a bag of over two thousand bits. We then share a nice friendly hug before parting ways. I return to my home and get ready for dinner with the Apples. A few hours later, I enjoy a nice dinner with them of daisy salad with apple slices, fresh apple cider, and apple pie. This is the second time I've had dinner with them since I came to Ponyville and I rather enjoy it. A few hours later, after a fun time of lasso throwing and cow riding together, I share a group hug with a family before parting ways. I then return to my house and look at a picture of my family. Oh how I miss them, mom, dad, Chelle, Nathan, and Eli. Alas, I left them to pursue my dreams. I had no choice but to leave them behind. I'm a success. Even so, I can't help but feel empty now that I've left them behind. A tear then falls from my eye onto the picture in my hand. Maybe I'll see them again someday. I can only hope.

A few weeks later, I attend a charity event and brought along some artwork to sell in the silent auction. A few minutes later, I arrive at the venue: Castle Theater which is only a buggy ride away from the main castle in Canterlot. There, I unload my art in the second gallery room where the silent auction will be held. I then go into the main gallery room, where I am greeted by Twilight and another one of the acts of the night, a pony known as Coloratura. "Creativa, this is Coloratura, she'll be singing at today's event," says Twilight to me.

"Nice to meet you," I say to Coloratura with a smile.

"You, too, but please just call me Rara," responds Coloratura.

"Okay, Rara," I say, "my name is Creativa."

"That's a beautiful name, I've heard of you before, you came here with the traveling gallery didn't you?" she asks me.

"Yes," I respond, "and I moved here not long after that."

Rara and I then walk off for a little bit. We soon meet up with Applejack and we all enjoy a nice lunch together before the charity event begins. An hour later, the charity event gets off of the ground. Rara kicks it off with her most popular song, "The Magic Inside (I'm Just a Pony)". Once she's done with that song, Twilight takes the stage.

"Hello, I'm glad everypony here could make it today. Today, we are doing a charity event to raise money to help the Ponyville Orphanage. You can help by either donating, participating in the silent auction, or even just buying things from our vendors that are around the grounds here. Now, enjoy this next song, a beautiful duet between Countess Coloratura and Songbird Serenade titled "For the Children". Enjoy!"

Songbird and Coloratura then take back to the stage and begin to sing. "Everypony needs a hand, a helping hoof when they fall down. Every child needs their own bed, their own family. Consider adopting, if not for yourself, do it for the children. Do it for the children. Children, they are such a gift to this world. Show them that they're appreciated. Show them that you love them, show them that you care. Give them a hand, give them a hoof, give them a home. If not for yourself, do it for the children. Do it for the children. Children are our future, so let's help them while we still can. Let's make their dreams come true. Let's lend them a helping hand. Let's also lend them a home or give them one permanently. Foster, adopt, do it for them. Do it for them. If not for yourself, do it for the children. If not for yourself, do it for the children." The two then take a bow and come back up and are soon greeted by much applause. Meanwhile, I'm busy in the vending area selling prints and crafts and even my smaller paintings to the ponies who are interested in buying them. I'm glad to be selling some of my arts and crafts to help the orphanage. I then begin to glance around me and see ponies selling everything from other crafts to baked goods. I then look at the stall three rows over from me and I see Pinkie Pie selling cupcakes and cookies. I look towards her and wave and she waves back. I then look two rows behind me and see Applejack selling Zap Apple Jam and wave and she waves back and gives me a sweet "Howdy!" as well.

A few hours later, everypony breaks for lunch before getting back to their assigned spots. Meanwhile, other ponies head into the silent auction and begin the bidding. Everything is just perfect today. There's nothing like helping a charitable cause. Everypony here can agree to that.

Around five hours later, the charity event ends off with a big fireworks display. We all then go off and count the money together. We got over $50,000 for the orphanage. Everypony is thrilled especially Twilight. She's glad the charity event was a big success. The next charity event on her list is the book donation for the Libraries of Equestria Group which fills up libraries all across Equestria with books from Ponyville to Canterlot. I'm glad Twilight cares about changing the world for the better. That is a worthy goal for anypony to have including a princess like herself.

It was a sunny day when Creativa Artly got a knock on her door and to her surprise, she opened it to the great, big smiles of her sister and brothers. "Oh hey, it's good to see you," I responded as I embraced them in a hug. "I missed you guys so much. How are mom and dad?"

"They're good," responded Chelle. "How's your job going? How's the school doing? How's the studio and store?"

"It's good, good," I respond with a smile. "Won't you come on in." The three nod and come inside and we all enjoy a nice lunch together.

"So, what's been going on with you guys?" I ask them with a smile on my face.

"Well, I made the high school buckball team," says Nate with a grin on his face.

"And I made the Marison Girls Choir," responds Chelle.

"I created and published a new desktop game," responds E. "I'm the only fifth grader in my school to have ever created a desktop game at such a young age."

"You have always been a little smarty pants," I say as I mess up his mane.

"Yeah," he responds. "Thanks, Ar."

A few minutes later, the four of us go to Sugar Cube Corner where we happily enjoy cupcakes and milkshakes. All the while, we continue to catch up on the last few weeks. Once we're done with our little treat, we go to Pony Paradise Amusement Cart and go ride the coasters and the other rides there, all the while having a blast and sharing laughs just like old times. I buy my siblings cotton candy and I even brought E a little Pony Commando action figure as he's super obsessed with that comic series at the moment. I then just smiled as he played with it all the way to the train station that evening. Before they hopped on the train to leave, we all shared a great big hug. I then waved goodbye to them until the train was out of sight. I'm glad I got to spend the day with them and I would never have changed it for the world.

The next day, I was out in the town when I was greeted by a young filly named Nika. She was a sweet little filly with a lot of questions. Some of them made me laugh, others I answered with a smile. "What is it like being an artist? I've always wanted to be one."

"Well, it's busy and takes lots of time and effort, but I enjoy it. It can also be lonely sometimes, but I manage." As I say this, a single tear falls from my eye. I then suck it up and continue to answer the rest of her questions until we reach Cheerilee's school where we part ways.

"I like that little filly, she reminds me of me at that age," I say as I walk away to join in on a picnic with Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo. A few minutes later, I arrive at the park and sit down with the group. We then begin to talk about our days and I tell them about the little filly I met. As I talk, they listen attentively. I'm glad they're such good listeners and I'm glad they're also great for just chattering back and forth. They're amazing friends and I could never ask for any better even though I still can't help but miss my best friend Key Lime quite a bit as we haven't seen each other since I went off to share my art with the world.

A few weeks later, as the school goes on break due to a heat wave, I and some of my students go down to Disneigh and ride some of the things and do the attractions there. While we are there, we even get autographs from every single character in the park. I even end up stumbling across the Sparkle family as Velvet was visiting some of her co-workers from way back when. Velvet even ended up introducing me to the current Snow Veil which was really great. Her name was Flora Lei. She was so sweet and we even got our pictures taken with her. A few minutes after that, we all went to lunch together before parting ways. I returned home to Ponyville and they continued their trip within the park.

Twelve hours later, I returned back to Ponyville and then stopped by Sugar Cube Corner and got a nice chocolate sundae. While there, I shared a nice chat with Pinkie and the Cake Twins, who are now about three years old. They were just so sweet. A few minutes later, I said goodbye and went off to the studio for a little bit to get everything cleaned up before the next week's classes.

Soon next week rolls around, and I get a fresh new studio class that I absolutely adore. They're all so nice. My little brother E even decided to join in on the class, and we both had a blast. It was great. After two hours, the class comes to an end and I return home after taking E back to our parents' house. I then returned to the studio and closed up for the day. I then returned home and took a nice long nap. It was a great day and I cannot wait to get the school back up once the heat wave is over for good. Hooves crossed that will happen soon.
