Coming to a new town to make new friends is fun for everypony, but sometimes you get more that what you bargained for.

When his parents allowed him to move to Ponyville, Timber Logwood was thrilled, and left as soon as possible. And when he arrived, he was welcomed to this friendly town by the newest princess, Twilight Sparkle. She and her friends met him and quickly helped him settle in, but then a certain yellow pegasus caught his eye, causing jealousy to another pegasus in town.

Chapter 1: It's good to start over.

"Really dad, I don't want to force you."- Timber's voice was shaky, proving the earth pony's excitement.

"Yes son, you are ready, but please visit soon."- Hammer Logwood, Timber's father, assured him.

"OK dad, I will miss you."- said Timber to his dad, and turning to his brother Splinter -"Now you behave with dad while I'm gone"- he said.

"Will you leave forever?"- asked the colt.

"No silly, I'll go a few months and come back, I promise."- answered the older brother.

Then, all the stallions hugged and Timber checked his saddlebags, said goodbye to his dad and brother and boarded the train headed for Ponyville. While the train ride was mainly uneventful, it proved perfect for the stallion to reflect on his life. In truth, he had wanted to leave Canterlot for a while now, but decided to stay after his mom, Clear Skies, died from illness. After a year taking care of his father and looking out for his younger brother, he decided to ask the question, and surprisingly, his dad said yes. Timber had wanted to go to Ponyville because he enjoyed the relative peacefulness of the town compared to the huge city of Canterlot. Besides, there was no carpenter in the town, so he had no competition for work. After going there twice before to buy a house/workshop and prepare things, he said goodbye to his family and friends and left his hometown.

Timber was not sure how much time had passed, as he fell asleep in the trip, but when he woke up the train had reached his destination. he gathered his belongings and left the train and the station, finding himself at the marketplace. Since it was the middle afternoon, there was still relative activity. Just when he was about to enter his house, he was approached by a pink pony with a puffy pink mane that was surprisingly familiar, as Timber had seen her before, he just wasn't sure when.

"Hello there, I'm Pinkie Pie and I suppose that you aren't from here."- she said with a big smile.

Yep, he had definitely seen her before, but still wasn't sure when.

"Hi, my name is Timber Logwood and my friends call me Timber. I just moved here from Canterlot today."- he said, smiling back.

"Oh, so you are the pony that I knew that was coming here today."- she said, her smile becoming bigger and somewhat creepy.

"Um, how did you know, I didn't tell anyone?"- he asked her, intrigued.

"My pinkie sense, dummy."- she answered him like it was the most obvious thing in the world -"I came to invite you to a welcoming party I made for you."- she offered him a paper invite.

"Uh, sure, where and when is it?"- he asked, intrigued and surprised as she had not only guessed correctly that he was coming, but also making a party for him.

"It says so in the invitation."- she said -"So I have to go, see you there."- after that she left.

The paper he received said to go to a place called the Sugarcube Corner at 7 o clock, which gave him a few hours to get ready. Timber continued on to his house and entered. It wasn't very big, but had a room for him, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room that doubled as his workshop and store. Knowing that he had nothing else to do and also knowing that the party was his perfect opportunity to meet new ponies, he went and took a bath and then ate the last meal he brought from home.

"I've got to buy food, thankfully I had brought the supplies already."- he said, looking at his stuff.

Effectively, he had brought some clothes and a few personal items, but little else, and it had really paid off listening to the advice of his best friend, who told him to take his carpenter supplies beforehand. The only thing that he hadn't brought was timber, which he would have to buy. After that he dozed off in the couch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Timber knocked on the door with increasing nervousness, as he wasn't sure he had come to the right spot, and he had already knocked at 4 other places. Surprisingly, not one pony had been rude to him and all understood his situation, one even giving him directions. That action was alien to him, as in Canterlot that never happened. Timber's initial dread died when Pinkie opened the door with a big smile.

"You made it, come in."- she said, beckoning him inside.

There were a decent number of ponies in the establishment, and in the back there was a DJ mare with headphones, some ponies were dancing, others were in the refreshments table, and the others were talking to one another. Pinkie directed him to a table were 6 ponies and a small dragon were sitting. 5 of the ponies immediately stood out, as with Pinkie he finally recognized them. They were Princess Twilight Sparkle, an alicorn; Rarity, a unicorn; Applejack, who along with Pinkie was an earth pony; and the pegasi, Rainbow Dash and the most beautiful mare he had ever seen, Fluttershy. He had seen them before because they were close to Princess Celestia and had gone to Canterlot before.

"Girls, this is Timber Logwood, he came here today from Canterlot and is the reason for this party."- Pinkie said, pointing at Timber.

After all the introductions happened he sat down with them. The 6 mares he recognized were not alone, as they also introduced him to Spike the dragon and Starlight Glimmer, another unicorn. Just them, Rarity excused herself from the table and asked the stallion to follow her.

"Did Fluttershy Impress you?"- she asked with a grin.

"Yes, she is pretty and cute."- he answered blushing.

"Don't be nervous, she's already nervous enough for the whole town."- she joked -"Anyway, you seem like a nice guy and you are surely better than the other stallion that likes her."-

"Can I ask who that is?"- he asked with curiosity.

"Perfect, you have good manners, anyway, he is a stallion with a black coat called Thunderlane, who is around here somewhere."- she said, nudging you.

"Oh but if somepony is already interested I will not interrupt"- he answered.

"No please do. All of the girls would prefer you over that pegasus."- she exlclaimed -"I'm rooting for you, lovercolt."-

"Well ok, if you say so."- Timber said with hope.

Rarity and Timber returned to the table then the music changed to a slow tune, and couples poured the dance floor. Spike grabbed the mare that Timber spoke to and went to dance with her. Other stallions came and asked the mares to dance, until only Fluttershy and Timber remained at the table.

"Would you like to dance with me."- he asked, offering his hoof to her.

"Uh sure, if you really want to."- she answered, taking his hoof and going with him to the dance floor.

While they were dancing, they didn't notice the pleaded looks that Fluttershy received from her friends, but also missed the very angry and jealous look from a certain pegasus...

Chapter 2: Setting the stage.

The party was great and was Timber's perfect opportunity to introduce his business to the citizens of Ponyville. It turns out that since the previous carpenter left the town, the demand for one increased dramatically. So that means that Timber moved, coincidentally, with perfect timing. Both during and after the party Timber got many potential clients and met a lot of ponies. He also danced a lot with many different ponies, but the one he enjoyed himself with the most was Fluttershy.

The next day, he set to work with his first commission, a table and chairs set for the Cake family, the same that owned the place where the party had taken place. Having nothing else to do, Timber made quick work of his assignment and was ready that afternoon. Since he had been paid in advance, there was nothing else to do now but wait till somepony came to collect the merchandise. While he waited, Timber thought about the previous night and Fluttershy. To him it was pretty clear that he was at least attracted to her, but she was very shy and he didn't want to force her.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door and, after answering, Timber found himself to the same mare he chatted with in the party, Rarity.

"Hello Rarity, what brings you here?"- he greeted.

"Hello darling, I came to tell you something."- she answered.

"What is it?"- he asked calmly.

"Well, I thought about what you told me yesterday, and told the girls, but not her."- she said.

Timber's face went from pleased to horrified -"You told them? Now they will make fun of me and I will never get the chance with her!"- he said glaring at the mare.

"Actually, we wanted to help you, we don't want Thunderlane to break Flutterhy's heart. So, will you come with me to my place, where the girls and I will give you advice?"- Rarity offered.

"Um sure."- the disbelief was obvious in his voice -"On one one condition, you will not mock me of laugh at me."- he said firmly.

"Of course, follow me."- and with that they parted.

The walk to Carousel Boutique was really uneventful, as the marketplace was still buzzing with activity and neither pony attempted to start a conversation. Timber had a lot of questions, most concerning this Thunderlane guy, but hoped that he would be provided with an explanation in it's due time. Finally, as the boutique came in to view, Rarity pulled ahead and opened the door, letting him in, where Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie where sitting in some couches.

"Where did Applejack go?"- the unicorn asked.

"She had to go to her farm."- Twilight answered to Rarity and turned to Timber -"You are Timber, right?"-

"Yes that's me, now can somepony tell mw what is going on and who is this Thunderlane?"- he said frustrated.

"Well, Rarity here told us that you like Fluttershy, and judging by what we saw yesterday, it wasn't hard to notice by ourselves."- Rainbow said and smirked at his shocked face -"Don't worry, I don't think she did, anyway, Thunderlane is a pegasus that doesn't have the best track record when it's about relationships."-

"Yeah, he had this relationship with a mare called Cloudchaser but that didn't end well. Nopony nows the complete truth but I heard that he was flirting with her sister, Flitter, but when she rejected him he broke her marefriend's heart and literally abandoned her in a lonely street of Cloudsdale, where she was beat up and almost killed, after that he supposedly blackmailed both sisters and walked away from the relationship with his reputation in ruins, in short, a bad situation for everypony involved."- Twilight explained.

"So that's why we don't want him to do this to our friend."- Pinkie said, joining the conversation.

"Which is why we will help you."- Rarity finished.

"Well, this is a lot to consider, but what does she think?"- Timber asked.

"Actually we aren't sure. I once even asked her what kind of stallions she was into and she didn't give me a definitive answer."- Rarity answered.

For the next hour and a half they talked about that. He told them what he had done before and what he expected in a mare, but due to his inexperience (he had never been in a relationship) he wasn't very picky or demanding. The 4 mares told him all of the important details of their friend and told him to exercise caution if he ever encountered the stallion. It turned out that Thunderlane actually had seen them as well in the party and was very jealous and upset. After Timber said thanks and goodbye to the 4 mares he left the shop but was immediately stopped by an upset looking stallion.

"Who are you and who do you think you are?"- he asked with fury.

"My name is Timber Logwood and I just moved here from Canterlot, who are you?"- Timber answered calmly.

"I'm Thunderlane and I was disturbed by seeing you yesterday dancing with a mare called Fluttershy."- he said with his fury growing.

"Yeah well, what about it?"- the earth pony said with increasing annoyance.

"Well I want you to know that she is mine and you can't interact with her."- Thunderlane said with a glare.

"How can you say things like that, even if she is your marefriend you can't treat her like she is your property."- Timber said, now furious himself.

"Yes I can and I will, cause as soon as I get her to be with me she will want nothing to do with inferior ponies like yourself, you filthy earth pony."- the pegasus said and left before Timber could respond.

"Well, I thought racism was only for the airhead unicorns of Canterlot!"- he shouted to the fleeing pegasus.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The nerve of that pegasus."- Timber was speaking to himself in his room in his house -"Not only he treats mares terribly, he is also racist and dumb. Even if I don't accomplish anything with Fluttershy relationship-wise, I can't permit that fool to mistreat her and break her heart. But I can't think like this, it not only gives him the advantage but also doesn't make me any better than him. I have to play it smart with her."-

Now the stakes had changed for Timber. He was no longer pursuing an innocent crush, he was now actively competing against a terrible stallion for the sweetest mare in town, Fluttershy. And oh boy he was ready, he was ready and determined to win.

Chapter 3: Quality time.

After meeting the grade-A 100% certified fool Thunderlane, Timber became determined to not allow him to hurt Fluttershy. He also was interested in pursuing his crush towards the mare and new that the best way to do this was to get to know her and spend time with her. So he decided to stop by her home and help her with her business.

Timber had actually no clue how to approach the mare without frightening her, and the fact that she had an established reputation as very timid and uncomfortable with new things complicated his possible strategies. He really didn't wish to be lectured yet again by Fluttershy’s friends nor bump into Thunderlane again so he opted for the only other pony in town that could help him.

Turns out that pony is actually not a pony at all.

Spike and Timber didn't talk much at the party, but from what the stallion could gather the dragon was friendly, loyal, and liked to help his friends, and that was enough for him. Besides, Spike was the kind of guy he would have wanted as a friend anyway, so it wasn't a bad idea. With that in mind, he headed to the Castle of Friendship.

Timber knocked on the door and Spike opened it with a friendly smile, that the stallion could only reciprocate. -“Hello Timber, what brings you here today?”- said the drake.

-“Hey Spike, I wanted to talk to you for a moment.”- the dragon’s curiosity was piqued, and Timber continued -“You see, I have this crush on a mare and need some help, can you help me?”-

-“Sure thing, which mare are we talking about?”- Spike asked calmly.

-“Fluttershy.”- Timber answered and Spike winced visibly.

-“Well, come in and lets see what I can do.”- the dragon said and motioned the stallion inside.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About half an hour later, Timber had exited the castle with very positive feelings. Sure, Spike wasn't the most experienced one he could have contacted, nor did he know Fluttershy all that well, but knew enough and had this guy to guy opinion that was important. He also gave the stallion golden advice on how to approach the mare.

With all of that in mind, he headed straight to the cottage (the location of which was also provided by Spike) and knocked on the door. Fluttershy opened the door with a smile but shrieked when she saw who was on the other side of it. She hadn't told any of her friends, but she had a serious crush on the stallion herself, this was truly a match made by Celestia, even though neither of the two involved knew it yet.

Timber became worried of her reaction and was both worried that he had scared her and hurt that he would never get the chance at being with her, and thus turned to leave, but then he felt her hoof lightly holding him back and turned to see a friendly, yet frightened smile on her face.

-“I don't want you to leave, that was not my intention when I opened the door, sorry.”- Fluttershy said in a sheepish tone so cute it shouldn't be permitted.

-“No, forgive me, I should have told you that I was coming.”- Timber said in an equally sheepish tone.

-“So, what do you need.”- she asked blushing and hiding behind her mane.

-“I, um, wanted to help you with your animals; since, you know, it’s a busy time of the year for you, heh heh.”- he answered and immediately wanted to kill himself for how dumb and stereotypical he sounded.

Her reaction was, however, quite unexpected for him, as her eyes lit up un excitement and she smiled more naturally now -“You would do that for me?”- to which he simply nodded.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few hours had passed and both could say that they had a good time with their secret love interest. Even though Angel glared at Timber angrily when he first entered the house, every thing went well. They were able to clean all the chicken coups and the bird houses in a relatively short amount of time and then tended to each individual animal’s problems.

Also, they were able to break the initial ice and started to talk with confidence, talking for long periods of time with very little interruptions. They told each other jokes and were able to do stuff without awkwardness or uncomfortable moments, and that was an immense relief for both of them.

She was just perfect, in every way. Everything she did and said was just amazing and she was cute, very cute. She was also extremely good looking and seemed to click with him at almost everything. Too bad he didn't have a chance with her anyway, and he knew it.

He was just perfect, in every way. He was very handsome and just such a gentlecolt, he was amazing. He was also very patient and very friendly, and he had the patience to put up with her. Too bad she didn't have a chance with him anyway, and she knew it.

It was at that time that both Timber and Fluttershy realized that they had finished and there was nothing else to do. For the first time since Timber had arrived at the house, they were submerged in an awkward silence.

-"Um, would you want me to go?"- he asked, turning to the door.

-"No, please."- she answered, again using her hoof to prevent him from leaving and with a small smile on her face.

Timber returned the smile and happily complied, so for the next hour or so they talked and enjoyed each other's company, the insecurities they had previously felt were nonexistent, and even though both felt that they didn't have a chance because the other wouldn't like them they paid it no mind.

Oh, how blissfully unaware they were both. They were already a couple basically and didn't even notice. When it was finally time for Timber to go due to the late time, Fluttershy felt a surge of boldness and kissed him lightly on the cheek when he got to the door, closing it quickly with a giggle and leaving him stuttering and blushing on her doorstep.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the next week this became the routine, every day Timber would go to Fluttershy's to check on her and help her with her animals. After leaving her cottage, he would head straight to the Castle of Friendship to report his progress to Spike. Twilight wasn't always ok with this due to the hour at which some of the meetings took place and the fact that she didn't know what was discussed in them, but decided to respect their privacy and allow them to talk, as long as they didn't wake her up.

Fluttershy also did a similar thing with Rarity, going straight to the Carrousel Boutique right after Timber left her house. She once thought of inviting him to stay over but decided against that, thinking it would scare him away. What Fluttershy and Timber didn't know was that Spike and Rarity were working together to get them to be a couple.

But what neither of the four knew was that somepony else was also paying close attention to the situation. Thunderlane, being the psychopath that he was, spent his days spying on the cottage, and was furious whenever he went there.

The day after one week had passed since he arrived to Ponyville, Timber wrote his first letter to his father and brother. After giving the letter to a mare named Derpy, he went to Fluttershy's cottage, but his confidence of earlier days had died. He had told Spike he wanted to ask Fluttrrshy out on a date and as such, both the dragon and Rarity were hiding in the bushes to check on the situation.

Timber knocked on the door with a very nervous face, and when Fluttershy opened the door and saw it, she frowned. -"Hey Timber, is everything ok?"- she asked with concern.

-"Yeah well, I wanted to ask you a question Fluttershy"- he answered and paused -"Would you like to go out with me, on a date?"- he finished.

Fluttershy was speechless, and she couldn't believe it. Her crush wanted to go on a date with her? that had never happened to her before -"Sure Timber, were?"- she said

-"It's a surprise, I'll pick you up at 3."- Timber answered, incredibly relieved.

-"Sounds good to me, bye now."- Fluttershy said, closing the door.

Both felt incredibly happy at the turn of events, and from the bushes Spike and Rarity felt really proud, but then they saw something that made them frown. Thunderlane was watching the events with a disgusted look on his face -"So the little Casanova thinks he can take Fluttershy away from me, we will just have to see about that!'- he said with hate on his face, and both dragon and unicorn knew that they had to do something about that pegasus.

Chapter 4: Game time.

-"Are you sure Rarity, that would prove that we were spying on them."- Spike said with uneasiness.

-"But we must do it Spike, if not Thunderlane could do something terrible to both of them."- Rarity said with determination.

Spike and Rarity had been talking about this for almost half an hour in the Castle of Friendship, and they were extremely concerned by the fact that Thunderlane was planning something evil, but were also very excited that Timber and Fluttershy were going on a date. They knew that they had to foil the evil pegasus plans, and were confident in their abilities. Also, if that failed, Shining Armor would be there to help them. With that in mind, they went to exit the boutique.

-"It's game time!"- both exclaimed with a determined look on their faces.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The day couldn't have been harder for Timber if he tried. He still couldn't believe she had said yes the day before, and had spent every second afterwards planning, but now he knew exactly what to do and were to take her. He had fixed his appearance, even wearing a semi casual suit and brushing his mane. He had also counted up his bits perfectly and was prepared for almost every possible scenario, even the ones in which he was rejected. Grabbing his bag of bits he went to exit his home.

-"It's game time!"- he exclaimed with a determined look on his face.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thunderlane had waited for an opportunity like this ever since he had his unfortunate incident with Flitter and Cloudchaser, a chance to both get the mare he was obsessed with and a chance to eliminate his nemesis, days like this were too few and far between. The thing is he wasn't in love with Fluttershy like Timber was, oh no he wasn't, instead he wanted to bring her to his home and have his way with her body, and then abandon her. He didn't think that that was evil of wrong, instead, for him it was pretty normal, he was biased though, as he was a psychopath. So he grabbed his knife and put it in his saddlebags and went to exit his home.

-"It's game time!"- he exclaimed with a determined look on his face.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fluttershy was very nervous but very happy, as today she had a date. She had given Angel clear instructions about what to do, and told him that there was a slight chance she didn't come home that night, so that he wouldn't worry. She told him to worry if she didn't come next morning, and although Angel made a gesture that looked like he didn't care about her, he really did. Fluttershy was wearing a simple sundress as she wasn't sure how she was supposed to look, but decided to look ok. All she had to do now was wait till Timber came and they left, and she didn't wait long as she heard knocking on her door.

-"It's game time!"- she exclaimed with a determined look on her face.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Timber knocked on the door and Fluttershy opened it with a small smile that immediately turned into a huge grin. In front of her stood her crush offering her a bouquet of roses, and even though she acknowledged the immense corniness of the gesture she was genuinely touched by it.

-"Hey there Fluttershy, are you ready for your date?"- he asked with a smile of his own.

-"Sure, let me put these in water."- she answered grabbing the flowers and heading inside for a moment. When she returned to the door, they left the cottage.

From a bush Spike and Rarity looked at the pair with huge pride, but were also looking out for Thunderlane. Said pegasus was also looking at the earth pony-pegasus tandem with disgust on his face and a knife on his hoof. All three of them started to follow the pair.

Timber had planned a special date that consisted in 3 parts. First, they would go to lunch in a restaurant in the center of town, then they would go to see something in the town theater, and finally he would take her to see the sunset and eat dinner as a picnic in a hill close to the edge of town.

The restaurant that they went to was a prench restaurant called La Fidèle that was notoriously difficult to get a reservation in. Fluttershy was very surprised but was happy that he had gotten a reservation in the restaurant, but was also unsure as she had never been there before. As they sat down and received the menus she frowned, not knowing what to order.

-"Don't worry, I have been to some preach restaurants before in Canterlot, if you want I can order for the both of us."- Timber said with a reassuring smile on his face.

-"Thank you, that would be lovely."- she said timidly.

Meanwhile, Spike and Rarity managed to get a table and Thunderlane sat at the bar. They were very impressed at Timber for bringing Fluttershy to a place like this. Rarity and Spike blushed when they realized they looked like they were on a date themselves, but they didn't mind it, knowing that more important things were happening.

Timber and Fluttershy were talking and laughing while they were eating their meal, and they didn't notice it, but the ponies of other tables were watching them with a little bit of jealousy. Thunder couldn't stand it but knew that if he did anything there he was getting caught.

When they were finished, Timber paid for the meal and he and Fluttershy left the restaurant (with their followers right behind them) and headed to the center of town where Timber pointed to the theater.

-"Oh, what are we watching?"- Fluttershy asked.

-"I really don't know, but I hear that it is very good, and I thought it might be worth a try."- he answered chuckling.

-"If you say so."- she added as she followed him inside.

Timber and Fluttershy didn't really mind the play, after all it was a cheesy romance comedy. Instead, they were cherishing the closeness of their companion, the mare resting her head on the stallion's shoulder who found that he didn't mind. Thundelane, who had managed to get a seat pretty close to them, was so disgusted he almost drew his knife right then and there, but knew that there were too many ponies present to attempt anything. Meanwhile, Spike was in heaven as Rarity was snuggled up to him with a contempt smile on her face.

Although it wasn't a must see, the play was pretty good and was pretty long, just over 2 hours and a half. Adding that to the time they were at lunch it was roughly 7:30 PM, just about perfect time for sunset and the picnic. After stopping at his house to pick up the basket, Timber led Fluttershy to the hills outside of town.

-"Are you sure this is a good idea."- Fluttershy said, her fear obvious.

-"Trust me, nothing bad is going to happen, we are just going to see the view, eat a little picnic and be on our way."- he answered calmly.

Thunderlane smirked evilly, as them going alone to a place with no other ponies meant that he could do what he wanted. Spike and Rarity saw that and got alarmed instantly, as they knew what the poor-intentioned pegasus was thinking.

-"We must stop him immediately, or he could do something bad!"- the dragon said alarmed.

-"I'm well aware darling, let's hope that Shining Armor arrests him."- she retorted, alarmed herself.

Timber led Fluttershy to a clearing that had a beautiful view of Ponyville. Even more beautiful was the sunset just behind town. She could not believe her eyes, as that was the most impressive sight she had seen in a while.

-"It's amazing!"- she exclaimed.

-"It certainly is."- Timber answered, although he was looking at her, not at the sunset -"So how about we sit down and eat."- he proposed.

While they were eating, Timber felt the need to tell Fluttershy his feelings, but didn't want to risk loosing her friendship. Unbeknownst to him, she wanted to do the same thing. Suddenly, as night came, Thunderlane came with a big knife pointing it straight at Timber.

-"I warned you Longwood, I told you to not interact with her, she belongs to me and I will do whatever I want with her."- Thunder said.

-"What makes you think you can say that! I don't belong to anypony, especially you."- she snapped with rage.

-"False, you love me and will do what I want."- he growled, getting close to the earth pony that was standing in front of the mare defensively, however, just when he was about to attack, he paused.

-"I will give you a last chance Fluttershy, who do you love?"- he asked.

-"Timber, ever since we talked in the party I knew he was special and after today, I'm sure I love him!"- she said with tears in her eyes.

-"Then die whore!"- he shouted, trowing the knife at the two. However, the knife froze right in front of it's bracing target, wrapped in a pink aura.

-"Stop right there, for attempted murder I will have you locked up forever!"- Shining Armor said with Spike and Rarity just behind him. After saying that, he cuffed Thunderlane up with magic.

-"Thanks Shining, we would have died without you!"- said Fluttershy.

-"Thank Spike and Rarity."- he exclaimed before teleporting away with the criminal.

-"You guys really did it, however, how did you know we were here?"- Timber inquired.

-"We, um, followed you around town because we set you up on this date."- Spike said shamefully, not noticing the awed looks of Timber and Fluttershy.

-"We just saw you so happy talking to each other, we wanted you to find love."- Rarity said sounding defeated, then she felt her friend's hoof on her shoulder.

-"We are very grateful, and it seems you two are very close as well."- she said, flashing her friend a knowing smile.

Although Spike and Timber had already had a perfect day, they were in no way prepared for what happened next. They were kissed full on the lips by their respective crushes. Both opened their eyes in shock when both mares used their tongues. Both were in heaven and when the mares pulled back, they giggled at their drunken expression.

-"We are going home, you coming?"- asked Rarity, picking up a bewildered Spike and placing him in her back.

-"You go, we will see you tomorrow."- Fluttershy answered, turning to an equally bewildered Timber.

-"Um, did you mean what you told him?"- he asked, barely containing his emotions.

-"Yes I did, and I know you feel that way as well, so how about you spend the night with me, as my coltfriend?"- she asked with a surge of confidence and the sexiest face she could muster.

Well, the rest of the day had been bleak in comparison to this, Timber thought.

Chapter 5: The great day.

View Online

The entire Thunderlane incident was over pretty quickly after that. He was imprisoned for murder and attempted murder and stopped being a problem for Timber and Fluttershy. As for them, they became inseparable, to the point of moving together and all. He proposed to her on their 6 month anniversary and she said yes. The wedding day was October 26, the great day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-"I never believed I would be in this position dad."- Timber said to his father Hammer while looking at himself in the mirror wearing a wedding suit.

-"I can hardly believe it myself son."- His dad replied with pride.

It was a chilly autumn evening in Ponyville, as the wedding, hosted in Sweet Apple Acres, featured an invitation list that included all four of the princesses of Equestria. Neither Timber nor Fluttershy could have been happier at the result of their lives. The ceremony was rather short, both saying yes to the all important question and moving on to the party. There everypony (and dragon) had a lot of fun and danced.

At arround 10 in the night, when every pony was seated in their dinner tables, both newlyweds spoke, saying thanks to their guests for coming and their gifts and good wishes, while the rest cheered and applauded, and just before they sat down to eat, Fluttershy called their attention one more time.

-"Everypony, I have a very special announcement to make, I'm 6 months pregnant!"- she exclaimed.

What happened next is a blur, a very enjoyable chaos that I witnessed with great happiness. After all, it's very hard for me, Discord Spirit of Chaos, to not enjoy myself when everypony is panicking and screaming and fainting.
