Puyo Puyo meets MLP. Enough said.

It's a usual Summer day in Ponyville. That is, until a strange force brings the inhabitants of Primp Town to the quiet Pony village. Can either side discover what is causing the dimensional crossing before it's too late?

((A new idea I have. Taking the characters of the Puyo Puyo series and making them have an adventure with our lovable heroes.))

Rainbow Dash vs. Draco Centauros

View Online

Hey everypony, I just got into the Puyo fandom not too long ago. Given the story behind the series, I'm surprised no one has crossed these two universes yet. Well, a first time for everything. This will be an action-based fic, so not much will be backstory-based. This is something new to keep me on my toes. Enjoy!

My Little Pony and its characters are owned by Hasbro. Puyo Puyo and its characters are owned by Sega.

Summertime in Ponyville, a time for merriment for all of the village's residents. But for Rainbow Dash, it was just another day of training for the Wonderbolts. She was already one of the best fliers in Equestria, but Rainbow was always pressing herself to be more. As she soared through the sky, she felt determined and strong, ready to take on anything that would pose a threat to her dream and prove to herself and everypony that she was the best. Unfortunately, her concentration was shattered in an instant by a sudden flash of white light.

-----

Summertime in Primp Town, a calm time for the residents of the magical city. But for Draco Centauros, it was anything but calm. Draco was always one of the most fiercest competitors in any competition she was in, whether it be fighting, races, or , her favorite, beauty contests. With the surprise announcement of a beautification competition in the Primp Town School of Magic fresh in her mind, Draco was speeding through the air with her strong dragon wings, the wind rushing through her green hair and iconic crimson battle dress. The school was soon in sight, and so was ensured victory, but Draco had not anticipated being thrown off course by a blinding white flash.

-----

Being blinded for a brief moment, neither fierce flier saw the other coming towards her, so they ended up colliding, tumbling in the air for a brief moment before breaking away to stabilize and take notice of what exactly in the world crashed into them. To be blunt, both were quite surprised with what they were looking at. Draco wasn't as stupefied; she had seen her fair share of weird creatures. She was, however, frustrated.

"Watch where you're going, dummy!" Draco shouted. Rainbow blinked, stunned for a moment before regaining her fiesty composure.

"I'm the dummy!?" Dash retorted, "You crashed into me, you dumb dragon-looking thing!"

Their respective angers were burning, so much that they failed to notice the peculiarity of a faint voice in the back of their mind, whispering to them a similar message:

Who does this thing think she is? You're on a tight schedule, and she comes out of nowhere to mess you up! Some nerve. Why don't you show her who's boss? Set her straight.

Draco dashed towards Rainbow, fists clenched, ready to strike. She misjudged Dash's speed, however, and immediately Rainbow flew towards Draco and tackled her, knocking the wind from Draco's lungs and sending her tumbling backwards in the air. Rainbow then followed up by flying above Draco and diving down, forelegs stretched out. Her hooves came crashing down onto Draco's back hard, hitting her down towards the ground.

Draco managed to upright herself before her touchdown, landing hard enough on her feet to cause a small crack in the ground. She looked up at her opponent, more enraged than ever. She rockets back into the air and roars at Dash, sending out a jet of flames towards the cyan pegasus. Rainbow flew to the side, just barely missing the fireball and singing her tail. In her dodge attempt, Dash didn't see Draco dart to her, finally landing a solid punch to Rainbow's side. The force sent Rainbow flying, but she immediately recovered and dashed back at her aggressor.

Rainbow quickly circled around Draco, building up speed and wind to create a technicolor whirlwind around the dragongirl. Draco was left with little option except to brace herself, but she wasn't going to just sit there at let the pony have the better of her. She took a deep breath and exhaled another wave of fire into the whirlwind around her. Dash was caught in the blaze and lost control, spiraling out and down to the ground, her fur singed and body burnt. As Rainbow hit the ground, Draco was upon her, ready to land the finishing blow.

She was stopped by another blinding white light from between the two fierce fliers. It condensed into a small ball of light and rose into the air a few feet above them. They both looked up at the strange light and once again heard the soft voice in their minds.

Now now, no need to kill each other, sillies. This is more than enough. Draco, you may want to take a look around. You're not in Primp Town anymore. Come with me if you want to have a chance to return home. And Rainbow, you should follow as well. Your friends' lives may be in danger. You wouldn't want to let them down now, would you?

And with that, the light floated away, heading in the direction of the Everfree Forest. Draco looked back down to her opponent and scoffed. She was still angry, now knowing she was going to miss her contest, but she felt she should at least help the fallen pony up. Draco pulled Rainbow to her hooves and dusted herself and the pegasus off.

"Look," Draco began, "I'm not too happy about all this, but we should get going. Sounds like things are getting serious and your friends might be in danger."

Rainbow nodded and winced slightly. Her body was sore, but she was still in good condition. Besides, nothing was going to stop her from protecting the ones she cared about.

"Yeah,"Rainbow responded, "Let's go. I'm Rainbow Dash, fastest flier in Equestria. What's your name?"

"Draco Centauros. Glad to meet someone else who's strong. Alright, let's get going, Rainbow."

The two took to the skies together, following in the direction of the ball of light. But this was only the beginning.

Well, that was fun! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I liked writing it. I know it's short, but I have a lot planned, so don't worry. We still got 5 more mane characters before the plot even really picks up! Stay tuned!

Pinkie Pie vs. Yu and Rei

View Online

Hey guys! This was a doozy to write, simply because I don't know how to write Pinkie effectively, let alone her Puyo counterpart, Yu. And before people say that this is unfair because Pinkie is outnumbered, Yu and Rei are together one playable character. They need each other to be strong. In either case, enjoy!

"Great! I'll see you there, Rose!"

"Super-duper, Lyra! Tell Bon-Bon to come by, too!"

"Of course we're gonna have muffins, Derpy!"

The zany party pony known as Pinkie Pie was out and about doing what she does best: party-related stuff. With such a wonderful, yet calm day, it was perfect to break the silence with another one of Pinkie's spectacular bashes. She was giving invitations to all the citizens of Ponyville, and last on her list was an honorary citizen, Zecora, who resided in the Everfree Forest. While most ponies feared the forest due to the dangerous creatures and creepy atmosphere, Pinkie simply laughed at it, finding the minor scares more laughable than frightening. She happily bounded into the forest, eager to invite the local zebra to her party.

Primp Town's local cemetery had yet another unfortunate victim fleeing from it in terror. There was an infamous force in the graveyard that was well-known for horrifying those who would dare to enter. What was this malevolence? Oh, not much, just the souls of twin children.

"Hahaha!" The leader of the duo, Yu, laughed. "Did you see him, Rei? He was all like 'Whoa, what's going on!?' It was funniest when we brought in the flaming pumpkins! He really thought he was gonna get squished! That was real fun, right?"

"Yes, Yu." Rei simply responded. The two ghosts were inverses of each other, Yu loud and happy, and Rei, quiet and melancholy. One thing they shared, however, was a love for fun, and particularly their own brand of fun, which involved scaring the daylights out of whoever came near them. It was a good afterlife.

"Okay, Rei," Yu began, ready for the next of their child's play, "you get set up near that crypt! I'll lead the next guy over there and then you lift up a skull to his face and-"

Pinkie was stopped in her tracks by a sudden burst of white light. It soon faded, but in it's place was something she never had seen before in her life: humans!

Wow, Pinkie thought, I thought these only existed in that foals' show! This is super! I'll show the Cutie Mark Crusaders and-wait why are they floating?

"-then he'll be trapped so we can dress him up like a zombie and then-huh?"

Yu looked around at the change of scenery.

"Hey," Yu began, slightly annoyed, "this isn't our cemetery! I know we're ghosts, but we don't just teleport out of nowhere!"

"Wait, ghosts!?"

Yu turned around to face the the voice, and what she saw made her tilt her head: A pink horse with poofy hair. Don't see those every day, especially with wide blue eyes that have a hint of... fear? Yu's lips curled to a grin. This was going to be fun.

While Pinkie has been known to laugh in the face of danger, she did have a fear of the supernatural. Ghosts, bats, and zombies have made her freak out before, and her friends know it. She knew such things couldn't hurt her because they weren't real, except for the bats of course, silly. And yet, here were two human ghosts just floating here before her. Needless to say, Pinkie was a bit worried, especially when the happy-looking one smiled deviously and flew up to her face.

"Well hey there!" Yu began, "I've never seen a talking pink horse before! I'm Yu, and that's my brother, Rei! What's your name?"

Pinkie managed a smile. At first, she thought they were going to attack her, or worse, take her last few invitations away! But Yu seemed friendly enough, so Pinkie responded.

"Well I don't think I've ever seen humans before, especially human ghosts, and especially especially human ghosts who are friendly! I'm Pinkie Pie!"

Yu let out a giggle and floated around Pinkie. "Pinkie Pie? Cool name! Yes, indeedy, it fits you! Hey, where are we, exactly? I think Rei and I got thrown across dimensions again."

Pinkie shared the ghost-girl's laugh. "This is Everfree, silly! The dark, creepy forest where nopony wants to go!" She smiled, seeming to be oblivious to the fact that she had indeed wanted to go into Everfree.

"Perfect."

Pinkie and Yu looked over to Rei, who had been silent up until that point. Yu giggled, agreeing with her brother's statement. Pinkie Pie gave a puzzled eyebrow raise, but Yu was quick to speak before any deep thought could be made.

"Hey!" Yu exclaimed, "Wanna play a game?"

Pinkie's smile returned and she hopped up in excitement. "Oooh, I love games! What are we playing? Oooh, please let it be Pin the Tail on the Pony!"

The ghost girl laughed and shook her head, floating back over to Rei's side. "Nope! We know a much better game! Ready, Rei?"

"Yep." Rei deadpanned. The two spirits covered their faces with their hands. Pinkie Pie, being a curious pony, took a step towards them.

"Peek..." Yu began, while Pinkie stepped closer.

"A..." Rei continued. Pinkie stopped.

Oh no, she thought, I know what's next.

Suddenly, the two ghosts thrusts their hands out at Pinkie, as if trying to grab her. Their faces were replaced by green, slimy skulls with worms coming from the mouths.

"BOO!" They shouted.

Pinkie had not moved faster in her life. She bolted away from the spirits in terror, making her way back to town as quickly as her hooves would take her. Normally she would have shrugged off such silly scares, but ghosts who could make such creepy things appear at will was just a little too much. She hoped to make it back to safety before they caught up with her, but no such luck. Yu rose out from the ground in front of Pinkie, still keeping her cheerful demeanor about her.

"Where are you going, silly? We've only just started! Isn't that right, Rei?"

"Yes, Yu."

Pinkie was frozen in fear between the ghosts. she knew Rei was right behind her, but didn't dare look, afraid of what he possibly could have changed into by now.

Get a hold of yourself, Pinkie! These are just children! They just want to play... Well, show them a nice Ponyville welcome, Pinkie Pie style!

"Wait," Yu started, "Where did you get that ca-"

Yu was cut off by a face full of cake. she was knocked to the ground, and Pinkie grinned. She was about to speak when suddenly, Rei dropped a soft pumpkin on Pinkie's head. It broke on her, covering Pinkie with mushy pumpkin bits. She sat there and blinked, taken aback at what just happened. Yu sat up and wiped away bits of cake from her face, laughing hysterically.

"Cake!" Yu exclaimed, "Who throws cake!? That is just silly!"

"Yeah," Pinkie retorted, sharing the laughing, "but it's not as silly as pumpkins! I mean, seriously, a pumpkin? What?"

Both of the giddy creatures laughed at the absurdity of their actions, finally finding a common ground. Pinkie's fear was gone, and Yu's desire to scare gone with it, if only for the time being. As they rolled on the ground, giggling, a light appeared before them, and a soft voice came from it.

"Wow," the voice said, "you two are quite the party animals! Fun little scares, a nice game, and all around fun! Hey, follow me and I'll show you an even more fantastic party!"

With that, the light darted off deeper into the forest, with the three new friends looking on after it in wonder. Yu and Pinkie looked at each other, shrugged, and took off after the light. Rei followed close behind, just as eager to see what was in store for them next.

Sorry this took so long; my schedule is kinda crazy and these are hard to write at times. Pinkie is so hard to write, and it's even tougher when you have someone else who is just like her. I hope to have the next one up as soon as I can. Until then, take care!

Fluttershy vs. Rider

View Online

While most of Ponyville was out, enjoying the gorgeous weather this day had to offer, there were a few who chose to stay home and focus on simple tasks. One such pony was the local animal caretaker, Fluttershy. She was out, yes, but busy feeding her menagerie of different critters. She tossed grains to her chickens and ducks and gave various vegetables to her small animals. It was a lot of work to take care of all of these animals, but Fluttershy enjoyed loving and caring for them. In turn, they loved her back, seeing her as a great mother figure; tender and kind, but stern when necessary. They knew not to provoke her to an extreme, for fear of the Stare, Fluttershy's petrifying gaze. It had tamed many creatures, from as little as chickens to as grand as dragons. Despite this, the animals and Fluttershy coexisted happily and lived mostly comfortable lives.

-----

The beauty contest at the Primp Town School of Magic was soon to start. Many of the residents of the calm magic city arrived as contestants. Who didn't love a good competition? Well, there was one who didn't; the young weather mage, Rider. She didn't want to be in the contest, or even around people in general, due to her appearance. At first glance, she appeared like a normal girl, but there was the issue of a pair of horns growing from the top of her head. She tried to conceal them by putting her hair into buns, but they still just barely poked out on top. While her closer friends didn't mind, she still got many looks from others because of it. To be kind, it was embarrassing. Rider just wished that she could feel a little more calm around others, and not have to be alone with small animals all the time, like she was at that moment. Only the squirrels and butterflies she regularly hung around made her feel truly comfortable. If only she could find more understanding creat-

The sudden explosion of light in the middle of Fluttershy's backyard sent her and her little critters running and hiding in all directions. Dozens of little pairs of eyes looked on from bushes, trees and coops to see what was the cause of the flash. What they saw was a little girl, dressed in a little green and yellow dress, rubbing the side of her head in dizziness. She was groaning as she stood up and looked to take in her surroundings.

"H... hello?" she began, "Is there anyone there?"

From a bush, Fluttershy and her trusted bunny companion Angel looked at the inquisitive girl. The little rabbit was the first to approach, hopping up behind her and gently tugging at the hem of the dress. This resulted in a small yelp from the girl, who then turned around and looked down at Angel, smiling softly.

"Oh, hi there, little bunny. Do you know where I am?"

Bending down, Rider picked Angel up, still smiling at him. Fluttershy then stepped out from her hiding place as well, half in curiosity, and half in fear for her rabbit's safety in the hands of this new being. She didn't look particularly threatening, but Fluttershy did notice something even more peculiar about this girl than the rest of her: the little horns on her head. The yellow pegasus knew that meant that this girl could possibly perform magic. So, she approached with caution. "Um... hello?"

Rider looked over to the pegasus, and it was her turn to be confused. Granted, she'd seen some talking animals before, but never a horse with wings. "H-hello... Um, where am I, exactly? I was at school, then there was this light and..." Her voice trailed off, and she looked away, a sorrowful expression on her face. "I'm sorry... I should ntroduce myself first. My name is Rider..."

"Oh," Fluttershy responded, "it's no trouble, really. I'm Fluttershy. Nice to meet you, Rider. This is my backyard, in Ponyville... Where did you come from?"

"Ponyville?" Rider asked, "That's not a town I heard of... Is it near..." She was cut off by another sound, coming from her hands. Rider looked down at Angel, who was pointing up at her horns and snickering. He had only seen creatures with single horns, so the idea of someone with two of them was enough for him to poke fun at. Fluttershy gasped as she realized what the rabbit was doing.

"Angel, that's mean!" Fluttershy scolded, "You shouldn't laugh at someone for looking different!"

Rider, on the other hand, was far from a scolding mood. She was in shock. "N-no... Not animals, t-too..." Shutting her eyes, Rider let Angel drop to the ground, and she turned away from him and Fluttershy. Angel, with an irritated look on his face from being dropped, stood back up and kicked rider's leg.

"Angel!" Fluttershy exclaimed as she ran over to the bunny to stop him. Rider was to him first, though, and with a glare and tears in her eyes, she shouted.

"Tuono!"

With the incantation spoken, Rider's horns sprang to life. A jolt of electricity formed and sparked between them, and then struck the bunny, zapping him and leaving him to fall back to the ground, smoke coming off of his body. Fluttershy stopped in her tracks and gasped as she saw the scene, shocked that her rabbit was just attacked. She stared at Angel, then slowly turned her gaze to Rider.

"You..." the shy pegasus began, her expression turning from shock to anger. "You... hurt him..." She continued, taking slow steps towards Rider, who was beginning to back away in fear. "No one hurts my friends!" Fluttershy suddenly exclaimed, flying up so she was inches away from Rider, glaring deep into her eyes. "I don't care if he did something mean like laughing at you. That's no reason to zap a little defenseless bunny!"

"I'm sorry!" Rider said back, crouching down and covering her head with her arms. "I'm so sorry... I... I just snapped... All I had were animals, ever since I was a child... No one else understood me like they did... To see one be so mean... It was too much! But you're right, I shouldn't have done that... I'm sorry..."

Fluttershy's scolding ceased, and her expression faded back to a soft one. She felt sorry for Rider, as she too was often bullied and misunderstood in her youth, and found animals to confide in. She was in the exact same position as the girl in front of her, and maybe... Would have felt the same way if unloved by everyone, including animals. She knelt down in front of Rider and placed a hoof on her shoulder. "I understand."

Rider looked up at Fluttershy. "W... what...?" She asked curiously. Fluttershy smiled. ""I said I understand. I know how you feel, because I'm the same way with animals. We understand each other on a different level from everyone else, and I feel so comfortable around them. It would hurt me too if they all left me... So, I understand." Rider began to smile as well, and she hugged Fluttershy, who happily returned the action.

"Thank you, Fluttershy."

"You're welcome, Rider."

And with the words spoken, the two shy girls were suddenly blinded by another white light, right above them. They yelped and hugged each other closer, both trembling softly.

Aww, what a touching little scene. Almost brought a tear to my eye. Bravo, ladies, bravo.
"Who... who are you?" Fluttershy asked.

Me? Oh, I'm just an... observer. But if you really want to know, why not take a little friendly stroll into that forest over there? All your friends are going to be there too, both of yours. Better hurry, though... it might be a little dangerous, even for them.

The light then trailed off into the nearby Everfree Forest, with its voice laughing to itself. Fluttershy broke from the hug and took a step toward the forest. Rider stood up, looking at the ominous, yet inviting branches of the trees.

"My friends..." Fluttershy began.

"...in danger?" Rider finished.

The two gulped nervously and began their trek into Everfree. A moment after their leave, Angel sat up and coughed out a puff of smoke.

Alright, this was more Rider vs. Angel, with Rider being the clear winner, but she was easily put into submission by the Stare, so that's a win for Fluttershy. Three down, three to go.
