Introduction
I was walking in the center of Ponyville. It was a beautiful day the day of the Summer-Sun-Celebration. I wondered because there weren’t any clouds at the sky. Normally had Rainbow more important stuff to do but I wouldn’t comply. Finally, somepony motivated her to do her JOB. This means there would be a party soon. Pinkie could be really annoying sometimes. I looked along my black flank to my cutiemark and my golden tail hofering in a small breeze. My cutiemark was a white star at a dark blue background. Someponies may remember it at Her. And I had to admit like her I preferred night. So, where was I? I trotted to my home. And soon jumped a pink pony at me. Pinkie. “Oh,haveyouheardthenewestthing.Anewunicornhasarrivedandshelivedinthelibary.Hernameistwilightsparkle.Couldyou pleasecomelatertothelibary,pleasssse?” She said in less than 10 seconds without breathing. She definitely ate to much candy. But her Parties weren’t that bad even if you weren’t a partypony like her. And everypony know you couldn’t deny her something, too. Because if you would you have to hear her every second begging until the event started. I was also interested in the new neighbour. So I agreed. But until then I wanted to read something about Her. So I continued returning home. Even if I didn’t live in a Library I had a couple of books in my house. These were about nearly everything. There were books about cooking, a stallion has it needs, books about the history of my people, books about… I am getting of topic, am I not? Later I sneaked into the Golden Oak Library. Shortly after me arrivied a purple unicorn. This had to be Twilight. Of course, I noticed the arrival of the pink baby dragon with green spike shortly after Twilight. I assumed he was Twilight assistance. She wasn’t glad about the surprise party. Thankfully for Twilight the main body of the guest went outside shortly. However, I stayed inside to ask for forgiveness:
“May I ask for your forgiveness, about the doing of the others?”
“It’s okay but could you please leave? I want to read about an 1000 years old legend.” My eye twitched lightly.
*gulp*” Do you mean the legend of Nightmare Moon? The old legend that the stars would aid her by her escape? That just an old fillytail!” I hoped my lie was believable. I was just a filly as She was banished but I was part of her Children of the Night. Our mother had given us eternal life. Of course, the only ponies know about this were the Children, their children and our mother.
“Why doesn’t anypony believe me? But thanks. Apology accepted. At least somepony has manners in this crazy town.” *pfuuf* All was still clear, she didn’t notice anything. All of a sudden the baby dragon entered.
“Come on, Twi. It is your Party. “He said.
„I want to read something about the Elements of Harmonie, Spike!” Twilight answered.
“Come lets see Celestia rising the sun." Thankfully I hadn’t to say something instead I trotted with Twilight and Spike to the main building of Ponyville. I still don’t understand why anypony would celebrate a sunrise but anyhow. We get somehow seats in the first line. Shortly later we could hear wonderful sounds. Fluttershy is, well, shy but the yellow Pegasus knows for sure her way around animals and the singing she could bring them to, you know what I mean if you heard her or her animals ever sing. The Mayor started with her announcement. I glanced with a small grin on my lips at the moonlight. As Rarity opened the curtain there was no sign of Celestia. Nearly anypony gave a wordless scream of terror. Then there appeared a dark purple mist laced with white dots. This mist formed itself into a pitch black Alicorn. Her main and the mist looked the same. She wore a blue armor looking thing. I ignored everything around me and tried to remember her name. She reminded me on somepony but who? Only as she eyed Fluttershy I recognized her. She was the banished, the mother of the Chrildren of the Night, Princess Celestias’ Sister, Princess Luna! I nearly couldn’t believe my eyes! She had returned! After all this moons of waiting she had returned. While the other were only concerned with themselves, I went to my Princess.
“Your majesty I remember you as it was yesterday you had chosen me and your other children. We have never forgotten you. Please allow me again to serve you.”
“At least one who remember and you may my loyal subject. Come to the old castle.” But as I was in the progress of following her order by teleporting to the old castle as my hooves lost the cintact to the ground. I found myself in a purple aura. Perfect, unable to move And imprisoned. The Princess had teleported to the old castle while I was hovering to the library.
“And what do we do with this fella?” Appeljacked asked, after the six friends found the whereabouts of the Elements of Harmony.
“I think we should tied him and leave him her before he do something funny. Before that I would like to hear his story. Why in the name of Celestia do you now about her identity?” Asked Twilight. I chuckled.
„What is so funny, darling?“ Asked Rarity.
It’s only, it’s a real long story. Should I really tell you?” I answered.
“Of course!” Received I from the six friends in various volumes. I tried to make myself comfortable, at least it was with tied hooves possible.
“Where should I start? Ah, Yes. I knew her before she became Nightmare Moon.“ It followed comments. “Yeah, it’s true I am over 1000 years old. What do you now about Nightmare Moon? If I may ask of course.”
“I only know Nightmare Moon has eaten children or something like this.” Answered Rainbow.
“The origin lies in the wish of Princess Luna to build a new colony. But her sister forbad this.” I said in a bitter ton. ”But Luna hold on to her plan. She chose some foals and guided us to her holy land where she granted us and our children eternal life. Since this night we were smiling beneath the moonlight while remembering our dear mother. And this is it.” Out of nowhere threw Rainbow herself on the ground while laughing.
”Come on, everypony we had to go to an old castle. Spike watch him.” Twilight said. The 6 moved to the exit of the Library.
