Join Lass Dawnfire, Reina Rebel, and all of the other ponys on a tale of survival against an enemy they have never heard of. While all was quiet one morning, it all went wrong when reports of Pony towns vanishing began to be heard. While everypony relaxed and had fun, Lass knew something was about to happen. But he never wanted to be dragged into a war from another universe. Will Equestria fall? Or will Lass and the others manage to defeat the darkness before thier own world is gone. Will lass sink into the Darkness trapped within him? Or shall he learn to control the Demon inside. Welcome to the Darkness.
(This is a Kingdom Hearts/MLP crossover story, there is a few Shipping -Lass and Luna-. This is going to be a violent story with death, tragedy and the like, if you dont enjoy any of this, i implore you to not read. I will be writing this while going to collage, so it will be a while till i finish a chapter, Stay tuned for more updates :D)
It always haunts my dreams, I remember every detail. The unfaithfull night when i became all alone. Everyday i think about what i did, all the ponys i killed, the entire city i burned, the faces, oh god how i remember the faces. Everypony was living a normal day, they all crowded the streets, buying, selling, performing, anything they could to make bits and enjoy their lives. Its Hard to believe that that day would be their last. That night, something inside me took root, I lost all control of my actions, but, oh god, I was still aware of what i was doing. Every single pony in the town was killed by me, no, not me, the dark side of myself, i never knew existed. That night, lying in the blood of everypony, i awoke to silence, buildings burning, and a scar on my right eye. I then was approached by Princess Luna and Princess Celestia, both of whom were shocked at what i caused. Without a word from myself, i approached them, and prepared for my punishment. To my surprise, all they did was comfort me, they knew what i caused was not by my hoof, but by a darker side of my self, and i soon knew that i had what i called "A second chance." My name is Lass Dawnfire, and this is just the start of my troubles...
One thousand years have passed since the incident, thanks to Celestia i now live on the outskirts of Canterlot, and with help from Luna, i believe to have gained control of my dark half, at least for the most part. My name is Lass Dawnfire, I am a Alicorn, one of the last ones left, besides Celestia, Luna, and Cadence. For a thousand years now things have been relatively calm, other than the nightmare moon, discord, and the Changling attack, i havent lost control of my dark side since the incident, but i feel him getting more powerful.
Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing! The sound of my alarm clock, why Luna convinced me to buy one of these i will never know. Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing! I slammed my hoof down onto the clock, almost breaking it. "I heard you the first time you infernal machine!" I dont know why i screamed at a piece of metal, maybe to just release some stress i guess. Sadly it woke up the neighbors, i could hear them trotting their way down to my door. Oh great. Just what i need. I waited for the knock on my door, but it never came, much to my relief. I looked out my window to see the sun shine bright, But for some reason it was much brighter than before. The light shone through the clouds, heading up the roads and making the dew on the grass shine like crystals. It was a remarkable sight nonetheless. "What a night, I had that dream once again after all this time, what could that mean..." After what seemed like a few hundred years, the dream of my past happened yet again, only this time it involved some dark beings. I quickly pushed away any more though of the matter, today was a special day. It was time for Ditzy's birthday. The Doctor asked me personally to attend the celebration, Pinkie Pie was in charge of it of course, so i defiantly said yes, after all she does throw the best parties in all of Equestria. I then gazed at the damaged clock, it read twelve-thirty. "Crap i'm late!" I quickly brushed my mane and rushed out the door.
After an hour or two i made it to the Doctor's house, it looked like some sort of blue box that said the words "Police Box" on it. He always was a little different, but i never seen his house before. I chuckled to myself slightly. As i was just about to knock on what i thought was the front door, the door opened and there stood the Doctor, sneering at me for being late. I cant really blame him though, i did sleep in later than i expected. "You're late Lass." A slight hint of spite on his tone. "Sorry Doc, i overslept. Did i miss much?" I hoped to at least be here to see the cake and all the activities. "You didnt miss anything!" There came Pinkie Pie's overly happy voice. "We waited for you to arrive! No party is a party until everypony arrives!"
I was surprised at first, though i probably shouldnt have been, Pinkie Pie would always make sure every guest was here before any festivities began. "Okay enough crowding the door, let the Stallion in." That voice, that calming voice, belonged to Luna. Once Twilight and the others saved her from Nightmare Moons hold, Luna became her normal self, much to me and Celestia's delight. "Finally! Now that he has arrived, this party can finally get started! I was getting bored waiting, Hurry up and let him in!" Ah Rainbow Dash, her rash tone had a hint of playfulness to it. "It has been a while hasn't it girls?" It has been a very long time since i have seen them all, last time i saw them was about a year ago, after the Changlings attacked. It was great to see everypony again, I always hate being alone. After the Doc let me in the party began. I was surprised at how everypony was here. We had Applejack, Rarity, Spike, Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Shining Armor, Lyra, Bonbon, Pinkie Pie, Scootaloo, Sweetie Bell, and Applebloom, and of course Ditzy and her family. It was great to see everypony again, I missed them all so terribly. The party lasted the rest of the night, Luna had to step out to raise the moon and returned a few minutes later. It took about thirty minutes after the party was over for everypony to start to head home. Celestia was the first to go, she had a urgent matter to look into at Canterlot, when i asked her what it was about she just ignored it and flew off. Then Twilight and spike, along with Rainbow and Fluttershy left, guess they are going to just have a sleep over. Ditzy put Dinky to bed and the Doc followed. Once everypony left, it was just me and Luna. Luna and me used to stay up late all the time, It was the only time me and her could talk about anything, we both knew that we were never alone at night as long as we could talk about anything. It was quite windy tonight, Luna's mane flowed gracefully in the wind, the moon shining on her, making her shine beautifully. It was quite silent for a while until Luna broke the silence. "So , Lass, what have you been up too recently? You hardly ever get in touch with us, My sister and i were worried you left." Luna's question startled me, Left? Why would i have left, i never even thought of that. And her tone, was that a sound of sadness? Has it really been that long since i have seen them? "Luna...i have been very busy is all, why on equestria would i ever leave? This place is my home, you all are my friends, i wouldn't trade that for anything?" Luna nudged me a little with that beautiful smile on her face. I couldn't help but smile as well, for it has been a long, long time since i have seen her, and now were alone together, under the beautiful night sky.
That voice I heard, it sounded demonic, unnormal, I looked around but no pony was there besides just me and Luna. Where did that voice come from, and more importantly, who did it belong to. Those questions and that voice haunted the deepness of my mind. I must have shown that i was in distress for Luna gently nudged my side, The feeling shocked me some. I was focused on the voice still. I tried to shake the thoughts from my mind, tonight belonged to me and Luna.
"Lass, is something bothering you? You seem on edge all of a sudden.." Her voice, she was concerned, I have never seen Luna be concerned at anything. I just shook my head, of course I cant tell her how I heard a voice somewhere, or how demonic it sounded. She didnt seem to believe me, but i reassured her that I was fine, of course i'm fine, Under the night sky, the air so cool, just gazing up at the stars, I'm at peace again, here with her.
"Remember me....? Heh heh heh.."
That voice again, No i wont allow it to ruin my night. However it was starting to get late so i nuzzled Luna, said my farewells and started to trot home. I looked back to Luna and gave her a quick smile, to show her that I am going to be fine and for her to not worry about me, though I knew it would be a lost cause, she always worries, it's just her personality. She smiled back at me and flew off to Canterlot. I stopped as i watched her soar through the clouds, a smile on my face, remembering all the good times we had when we were young.
"What joyous memories, What about that night where you killed everypony? That is my favorite memory, heh heh...Now REALIZE PAIN ONCE AGAIN!"
Suddenly I felt a major pain in my right eye, it felt like my entire head was encased in some sort of lava, everything burned, I tried to scream for help but no matter how hard I tried no voice would come out, Soon I fell to the ground and as everything faded to black I heard the voice again.
"You're stronger than before, I'll let you be for now."
Within the blackness I saw Luna land by me, then my vision faded as I lost consciousness. What happened next was strange, I was falling down onto a stained glass platform, with three floating objects on pedestals. One looked like a shield, another one looked like a wand, and the last one was a sword. Then a new voice started to talk in my mind.
"Choose wisely, for your choice will be the one to determine your fate. You are the key that will save yourself and this world, So go ahead and choose. Don't be afraid. You hold the most powerful weapon in your heart."
That voice was much calming than before. "I'm the key...to save this world and myself? I don't understand..." I didn't understand what that voice meant, but i decided to follow it's orders anyway, call it curiosity. I proceeded to grab the Sword, and once i held it in my hoof the other objects vanished as a stained class staircase appeared leading to another platform. I proceeded to follow it, once I reached the platform the stairs vanished behind me. I saw darkness forming in the corner, then it started to form a huge dark being with tentacles flowing out from its head, and has a hollow spot in the shape of a heart in its chest. I was shaking. What was this creature and what did this mean? I tried to run but i couldn't feel my legs, i was afraid. The beast then slammed his fist down on me and i was engulfed in Darkness. It was suffocating me, I was dying. Then out of nowhere i saw a blue hoof reaching down to me surrounded by a bright light.
I woke up to Luna and Celestia standing over me, their expressions showed that they were worried. Luna seemed to have noticed me moving and gestured to Celestia as they both rushed over to where I lay. My head was burning, my heart was in pain, and I could not move without pain engulfing my body. Luna rushed to hug me, she must have been so worried about me. Celestia just gave me a slight smile, she seemed to know how i felt about Luna, Tia and I have always been close, we would tell each other anything, and i have told her my feelings for Luna.
"Luna, your hurting me.." My voice was dry and it was painful to even speak one word. "Oh, sorry Lass.." I gave her a slight smile, telling her that it didn't matter, i was happy to see her again. "Lass, what happened? Luna was on her way home when she said that she saw you pass out and rushed to your aid." "I...passed out? For how long?" Was what i went through, with the darkness and everything, a dream or reality? "You were out for seven days..." I couldn't believe what i heard, seven days of being asleep, not moving in that 'dream'. I began to sit up, despite the pain in my sides and despite Luna trying to stop me. I Stepped down off the bed I was laying, and began to limp towards the door. I had to return to where it all began, I was going home. "Lass?! Where are you going?!" Luna was really worried now, and why shouldnt she be? I passed out after telling her i was fine, and was asleep for seven days. I didn't blame her for being worried.
