Chapter 1 The darkness
One day Pinkie went out to the park seeing it as the perfect opportunity to meet new people. Pinkie searched the park but it was empty nopony around. She wondered around walking toward the pond to look at the water. As she walks she sees something move in the bushes. When she looks again she notices something fades away when you look so she looks away and then back again. She does this many times until she finally just looks out of the corner of her eye. She sees that it is not an intentional disappearing but rather a natural effect that she was causing.
A small gray pony began to come out and asked: "Can you see me?"
Pinkie said, " Ya but why do you do you disappear every time I look at you?"
He said, " I am from another universe and I got stuck in the portal between our worlds so I am not quite here nor there I am stuck in a sort of in-between." Pinkie was amazed that she was hearing this and wanted to go get her friends but the other pony was afraid that she would not be able to find him again.
The gray pony said, " my name is Blue."
Pinkie was confused and asked, " why is your name blue if you are gray," Pinkie felt like she was being a little judgmental considering that he was from a different universe and the color he was probably had a different name where he was from so to turn things around she said, " nevermind My name is Pinkie Pie."
Then Blue said, " Oh it's fine when you get trapped between worlds your color can't be seen by either world but you can be if you look out of the side of your eye." So they stood there talking about their homes and how each universe was different and why it was so easy to get stuck between them when you are trying to travel from one to the other. Pinkie was amazed at the seemingly endless knowledge of her new friend wondering just how long he had been stuck and how many times he has gotten himself stuck in such a position as this.It was cool and the wind started to pick up when Blue began to struggle to stand still.
Pinkie asked, " Are you ok?"
He replied quickly, " Ya it's just that the wind from both worlds are hitting me both at once and it gets difficult to stand because they are also magnified a lot when you are stuck between worlds. Because when you are stuck between the two you are constantly being drawn to both but the fighting forces will cause each action done against you seem to be five times stronger. That and when you have both of the worlds blowing the same way it is like a rush of water rather than air."
Pinkie was worried for her new friend so she asked, " Do you want to come over to my home where you will be out of the wind?"
He said, " I would but I need to find the others that got stuck first."
She said, " Ok what do they look like?"
He said, " well they would look about like me except they are not quite as darkly colored as me."
Pinkie asked, " What are their names?"
He said, " Eeny, Meany, Miny, and Moe."
Pinkie asked, " Is that really their names?"
Blue said, " Ya why is there something wrong?"
Pinkie said, " Oh no there's nothing wrong I just found it funny that we have a saying that goes in that exact order." They both laughed and began to look for Blue's friends hollering out their names.
You could hear, " Eeny, Meany, Miny, Moe where are you!" echoing all across the park. The voices of far off ponies carry on the wind as it blows. Pinkie can hear the ponies speaking but can't quite tell where it is coming from until she notices out of the corner of her eye the other ponies sitting on the ground. Blue runs to them and is excited to see them.
He asks, " Hey do you guys have any water that we brought?"
Moe says, " Ya, why, do you need some?"
Blue said, " Not for me but for my new friend Pinkie she is from world one and she is having trouble seeing us because we are stuck in the in-between, but if we give her some of the water from the in between she will be able to see us easily."
Moe said, " You're right." They got some of their water and gave it to Pinkie and they all began to appear more as a solid form. It began to rain as the six new friends walked along to Pinkie's house and they ran as fast as they could to get out of the cold wet rain. In the process of running, Pinkie stepped in something black and slimy.
She said, " Eww mud!" Then without another thought ran on to her house. When they arrived Pinkie let them in and they dried off while Pinkie tried to wash off the mud she stepped in. The more she washed the more it spread and the more it spread the harder she worked to wash it away.
One of the others asked, " What are ya doing?"
She said, " trying to clean this mud off but it just keeps spreading around and I can't get any of it off." Blue came over to see why she was having so much trouble.
He said, " I don't think that's mud Pinkie."
Pinkie said. " Of corse, it's mud what else could it be?"
Blue said, " Well it could be all sorts of things but I can't see what color it is."
Pinkie said, " It's black." Blue said, " Well that's a pretty simple color, Though I still don't think it's mud."
Pinkie asked, " What do you think it could be then?"
He said, " Well I don't know exactly what it might be but I don't like it."
Pinkie began to feel a tired sensation come over her as she was speaking with her friends she laid down saying, " Well I'll just mess with it later I'm going to take a nap."The others told her that they would check in on her soon and went to the living room to play some chess.
As Pinkie slept she heard a sinister voice saying, " Welcome to my darkness young one, let the games begin."
