In the human world for so long, Sunset Shimmer decides its time to take a visit back to the pony world, and decides to visit Twilight. But when she opens the door, she doesn't find Twilight, she encounters Starlight instead.
In the human world for so long, Sunset Shimmer decides its time to take a visit back to the pony world, and decides to visit Twilight. But when she opens the door, she doesn't find Twilight, she encounters Starlight instead. The girls must find a way to spend time while Twilight is gone. And what better way than spending time together!
Sunset Shimmer was trotting around Ponyville, and found Twilight's castle. She opened the door slowly.
"Hey Princess Twilight, it's been a whi-" Sunset Shimmer said happily, but the rest of her sentence responded with a confused look. Twilight wasn't here. Instead, what she found was a light pink pony with purple hair, purple eyes, and a horn. Starlight Glimmer.
"What the? Um, hello, my name's Sunset. Perhaps you could tell me who you-" Sunset said, but Starlight Glimmer held a hoof up to stop her sentence.
"Sunset Shimmer, you say?? Well, Twilight has told me that she has a friend who lives in another world, but she said its best not to mention her to me or to mention where the portal was at because she still thought i was too, 'curious.' " Starlight said, looking at Sunset with a smile.
"Wait, you know Twilight?" Sunset said, as though no one else knew Twilight as good as Sunset did.
"Of course I do, I'm Twilight's pupil." Starlight said happily.
"Are you sure? I'm pretty sure Twilight would've mentioned you to me sometime." Sunset said, confused.
"Yeah, but then Twilight gets busy, and then she starts reading books, and then she has to solve a friendship problem, and then she's trying to assign me to solve a friendship problem, it seems she almost has no time." Starlight said, gloomily, and put her book down with her magic.
"Yup, that's Twilight." said Sunset, looking quite out of words.
"Well, since Twilight's not here, I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't want to be standing in her castle all day, doing nothing." said Starlight, and got up.
"Yeah, and i'm pretty sure reading books all day is really just Twilight's thing." Sunset said, and laughed.
"Heh, seems we both know Twilight really well. Well, since we're both here, bored, why don't we go outside and have a nice day? The breeze is just right." Starlight said, slowly opening the doors with her magic.
"Sure, I wouldn't mind hanging out with a friend." Sunset said, and walked with Starlight outside. Today is a nice day to be with a friend.
Sunset and Starlight start walking around Ponyville, talking about what to do next.
"We could go to the movies!" Sunset said, cheerfully.
"Or, instead we could go to Sugarcube Corner and get some food!" Starlight said, happily.
"Wait, I got it!" said Starlight, and Sunset smiled.
"Let's go to the spa!" both girls said in unison.
Soon enough, the girls were inside the spa, and both Aloe and Lotus welcomed them.
"Ahh, Starlight! You are Twilight's pupil, no?" Aloe said softly to Starlight and hugged her.
"Yep, that's me." Starlight said, with a bit of a strained smile.
"Ahh, yes, yes." said Aloe, and then she began to pay attention to Sunset Shimmer. She had never seen Sunset before, but she tried to act like she knew her.
"Eh, erm, who is this again?" said Aloe, looking at Sunset Shimmer with a relaxed smile.
"Oh, hi! My name is Sunset Shimmer, I'm um, n-new here! Yep, I'm new here! New in Ponyville!" Sunset said, nervously smiling.
"Ahh, yes, I see, new, yes yes, erm-Welcome to Ponyville!" Aloe said. She offered Sunset a free hoofacure as a special little welcome, however Sunset politely declined.
"Ah, okay. So, what are you here for again?" Aloe asked, smiling at Starlight and Sunset.
"Oh yeah, one hot water room, please." said Starlight, with a smile.
For a second, Aloe wondered why the ponies looked so nervous, then she understood.
"Ahh, I understand darlings, a day off from doing usual things can be a bit, eh, stressful, with Starlight dear here, learning with Twilight, and eh, oh yes Sunset, a new pony in Ponyville, you must relax though, you have come to the right place darlings." Aloe said, sounding relaxed, and showed Sunset and Starlight to way to the hot water room.
Once Sunset and Starlight were inside, they felt totally relaxed.
As Sunset and Starlight sat there for a few minutes, they both tried to stir up a conversation, however they found it quite difficult.
"Sooo, Starlight. I heard that your, Twilight's, pupil. Yeah, lets, um, lets talk about that." Sunset said, smiling nervously at Starlight, waiting for Starlight to reply.
"Uh....oh yes! Yes, very, very, true, I'm learning lots of stuff about Twilight, like, like...., uh, SPELLS! Yes yes yes, spells, you know, you use your magic from your horn, and, and...it happens, heh." Starlight said, with a very strained smile.
"Uh, you know what Sunset? I don't think this type of chat is working out." said Starlight, stopping her strained smile, and looking at Sunset.
"Oh thank goodness Starlight, I'm pretty sure i couldn't keep up a conversation like that up for long." Sunset said, looking at the steam.
"Yeah, to be honest, I'm still kinda nervous about this friendship, because then with friendship, comes a friendship problem, and then-" Starlight said, however is stopped when Sunset finishes her sentence.
"You have to solve the problem, and stuff." said Sunset. Both girls looked at each other with smiles.
"How did you know, Sunset?" said Starlight, surprised, with a smile.
"You told me, silly!" Sunset said, and laughed. Both girls laughed.
"Wow, you really are somepony to talk to when your teacher is gone for the day and your here with somepony you just met hours ago." Starlight said, in a bit of a teasing voice.
"Hah, your fun to stay with too, Starlight, when the princess is gone and I found you in it." Sunset said, smiling at Starlight.
"Ahh, Aloe was right, all we needed was to relax, I feel much more better, not nervous anymore." Starlight said, and closed her eyes to relax.
"Yep, this is relaxing, anymore relaxing and i'd be asleep!" Sunset said. The girls laughed, then closed eyes to relax and enjoy to steam.
