Prologue: Through the portal
On the outskirts of Bellwood was an old abandon steel mill that had been shut down do to financial problems and the nearby mine going dry, to the naked eye. No this was a Highbreed hide out. After Ben had saved the entire species from extinction by infusing their DNA with random samples from the original omitrix, a splinter cell emerged. Their only goal is to destroy earth as revenge for making them "impure". After the defeat of dagon they let their existence be known. Bombs started appearing all around the world of coarse team 10 had defused them all. But this time Ben was standing out side and screaming in to the new omitrix.
"Would you hurry it up in there Kevin"
"He's going as fast as he can Ben" Gwen's voice replied back.
Ben sighed before talking back "I know, I just can't see why I had to stay out side by my self or why you had to drag Julie here, I get grandpa max I guess. But did I really have to stay out side by my self.
"One minute Ben, Kevin wants to talk"Gwen said presumably handing the plumber badge to Kevin while he worked.
"For the last time Tennyson, I needed Ship to turn off the anti-personal security of the implosion device and he wouldn't come without Julie being here too. Max had to come so that he can mark any similar tech as contraband to earth. Finally your outside because I needed someone to watch my car, I'm sick of it always getting smashed or something." Ben then heard a mechanical click.
"Is that it, are you done!" He yelled.
"Yes we're done here, ok..." Then there was another click."wait it turned back on I had a minute before why does it say twenty-five seco... It's a trap run!"
Ben was running forward to try to help but before he could activate the omnitrix the ground shook and he could see the building collapsing in on it self. The bottom of the building started rising and crumbling. Soon the whole thing was converging on a central glowing point until there was nothing but debris flying in to it. When the concrete foundation was the only thing left the glowing point shrunk until it was the size of a golf ball then it released a shock wave that sent Ben flying into Kevin's car.
Haunted by the memories of the prior week, Ben drove through the Colorado dessert. He had one final destination. The bottom of the grand canyon. He had nothing left. Ben got home that night and found his parents were assassinated by the Highbreed while he was with everyone else. He didn't care if the earth was destroyed. Ben just wanted to maybe see his family again.
Just as his car reached the edge of the canyon there was a blinding blue flash of light.
Ben opened his eyes and found his car pulling up an unfamiliar road. He saw a school a little down the road. From what he could see there was a large white statue of a horse with its front legs in the air. As Ben got closer he could see seven girls on the other side of the statue, from their height he cloud tell it was a high school. Six of them were in fancy dresses so he assumed it was a school dance or something. The seventh girl had what looked a crown in her hands. She was mumbling to her self. Then the seventh girl put the crown on her head, it started glowing with a black and blue aura, then rings of energy started surrounding her. The same energy had then shot up in a pillar around her and released a shockwave that shattered Ben's driver side window. Ben then got out of the car as quickly as possible and ducked behind the statue. He looked over and saw that she was transforming. When the energy dissipated she was turned into a demon looking creature and was laughing maniacally. He heard gasps and she/it looked toward the statue. Ben ducked down lower to avoid being spotted. "Now I can finally take equestria for myself" the demon looking girl said.
"No you can't I'll stop you" Ben couldn't see who was talking from where he was but it sounded like she was confident in what she said.
"What do you have that could possibly defeat me."
"She has us" said a raspy sounding voice.
"Then I'll just have to get rid of all of you" the demon girl said as she started charging a fiery ball of energy.
"One more time" Ben said activating the omnitrix. Ben dashed out of his hiding place into a easily noticeable spot. "hey ugly over here" They all turned to see Ben select the alien face symbol. The face place shot back and the dial sprang up, only for a moment, because he slammed it back down. There was a blinding green flash and when it cleared, in Ben's place was a tall purple crystalline Cyclops with an hourglass symbol on his chest
"CHROMASTONE"
He yelled and then out of anger and shock she threw the ball of energy at him. The Cyclops held out his hands and absorbed the blast."My turn" he yelled as the energy he had absorbed gathered in one of his hands and became rainbow colored with the dominant color being white. He then threw it back with all the force he could. The ball of energy made impact an caused her to stumble in the air a little. But didn't do much damage. She shot him in the chest with another blast and he skidded backwards a little, with a confused look on his one-eyed face.
"Why couldn't I absorb that one?" He said to no one in particular. "Even if it was some kind of magic I should have been able to absorb it. Oh well guess I'll have to take a different approach." He said before reaching for the omnitrix emblem on his chest, but before he could touch it there was a red flash and he turned back to normal. "But I didn't even touch it yet, why did I change back, it couldn't have run out of power yet." Then it started blinking.
"Unknown energy signature detected. Transformations are unavailable while documenting." It said with a very uncanny but robotic imitation of Ben's voice.
"Oh, great, now wh.."
Ben stopped talking suddenly. He could feel something around his neck, but saw nothing except a light blue aura and the demon girl's hand glowing with the same light. She was telepathically choking him. Ben tried gasping for air but it was stopped halfway when she tightened the magic grip. His feet lost touch with the ground and he griped his throat. Then he heard the girls talking again.
"Let 'em go!" One said with a heavy country accent
"Who's going to make me"
"We will!" Yelled the one with the raspy voice.
As Ben's vision started blurring he thought that he saw another fire blast flying toward the other six girls, but it dissipated when it hit them. Even stranger he then saw a pink light followed by multi-colored flashes and a really bright rainbow. After that he could feel himself falling back to the ground along with the grip on his neck loosing. When he hit the ground, falling to his knees and putting his palms on the ground to support him, air rushed into his lungs. Ben lifted his head and the six girls had transformed also. They all had unusually long ponytails and their ears were too high on their heads to be normal, three of them had feathery wings on their backs. Even stranger there was a crater where the demon one had been.
Ben, on the verge of unconsciousness, could hear sobbing and something about second chances.
One of the girls started walking towards him. His vision was still slightly blurred but he had to be hallucinating, because he could have sworn that along with wings an animal like ears, her skin was a light purple.
"Are you okay?" She asked while reaching out her hand to help him up.
"Fine, but I think I'm hallucinating." He answered taking her hand to get up. Her hair was purple with pink highlights, but he assumed that was normal with his experiences in his own highschool. "Believe it or not but right now you look like you have a knee length pony tail, your skin is pink,your ears are on top of your head, and there are feathery wings on your back. But that sounds crazy, doesn't it?" Ben said with a laugh.
The girl then checked herself over. "Actually your not hallucinating, that is a very accurate description of me. Anyway I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Twilight Sparkle, and you are?"
"Wait a minute, your just going to wave every thing that just happened off. Also don't you know who I am."
"with the things I've been through this is nothing. And should I know you?"
"Yeah, I'm only Ben Tennyson. You know the guy who saved the world and even the galaxy on more than one occasion."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I've never heard of any one by that name."
"Wait seriously I'm like a celebrity. I can't leave Bellwood, heck I can't leave my house without someone asking for an autograph!"
"I still can't say I've heard of you or Bellwood, sorry."
Ben stood there for a moment with a serious case of Déjà vu. She didn't know who he was, where Bellwood was or that it was was even a town in the first place. Just like what happened with Rex Salazar's world. "I'm in a different world, that's it." Ben said aloud triumphantly.
"You too?" Twilight asked. Ben starred at her with a shocked expression.
"What do you mean by that"
"I mean I'm not from here, er , this world either. I'm from a place known as equestria. And there I'm a pony, I changed into this when I came through the portal."
"Like the small horse, kind of pony"
"Yes, why, do you have a problem with that?".
"No not at all" ben said nerviously "Well at least I don't seem to hav-" before Ben could finish talking, he noticed that his skin was a faint light green. His clothes remained the same though. "How did I miss that?! Any way, you said you came trough a portal right. You think that it could take me home."
"It only connects this world and mine as far as I can tell, but your welcome to come with me when I leave if you'd like. I'm sure that with my friends help we'll find a way to send you home to your friends and family."
Ben's heart sank. With all the excitement he almost forgot about the incident of the prior week. But he wanted to go home nonetheless. "Yeah ok."
Twilight saw his sudden change of emotion but decided to not ask a about it. "Great, I just need to finish up a few things here. I'll be back in a few minutes. Then we'll leave alright."
"Take as long as you need I'll be right here."
And with that she walked inside the school building. And Ben started thinking how he would get his car into this portal she told him about.
When twilight came out of the school with spike. She found Ben asleep next to the statue in a sleeping bag.
"So, are you sure you can trust him?" Spike asked
"I think I can. Be sides if he try's anything we can use the elements of harmony."
"Ok, do you want to wake him up or should I. Actually I want to try something." Spike then got up on to Ben and stood so that his side was close to Ben's face. Spike then lifted his right back leg as he saw another winona do next to a bush back in equestria.
Twilight had also saw a her do this when they were at Sweet Apple Acres and knew what was about to come. "SPIKE!! DON'T YOU DARE!!
Twilight's reprimand was enough to wake him up and once he saw what was in front of his face he screamed.
"YOU WERE GOING TO LET YOUR DOG PEE ON ME" he yelled as he frantically got out of the sleeping bag.
Next Ben expected the dog to bark or something as he was thrown from his position on Ben's chest, but for the first time in years he was shocked at something. The dog opened its mouth and spoke. "Well I had to go and we needed to wake you up so I thought I'd do both"
If Ben's jaw dropped any more it would have fallen off. "Whoa you have a talking dog for a pet, I've wanted one since I was 6."
"For your information I am Twilight's assistant, not her pet"
Ben then squatted and scratching behind spike's ear "You're a feisty little guy aren't ya." As much as spike had tried to look angry he couldn't resist wagging his tail and smiling. Twilight giggled, then she remembered something.
"So ... Um ... How did yo-".
Before she could finish the sentence the omintrix blinked and talked again.
" Foreign energy signature documentation complete. Similar energy will no longer interfere with normal operations."
"Took you long enough, I was able to take a nap in the time it took you to do that." Ben yelled in to his wrist.
"Yeah, that, what is it?" Twilight asked as she leaned in to get a better look at it.
"Right, different universe, I need to explain. This is the ominitrix." Ben then stretched his arm out so twilight didn't have to lean so close. "This allows me to transform into tons of different alien heroes."
"Like that big Chrystal Cyclops"
"Yeah, chromastone is just one out of, I think sixty three that I can currently turn into, and I'm sure that there are more in its database."
"Ok I just have one more question" twilight said.
"And that is?"
"Where did you get the sleeping bag?"
"It was in the trunk of my car from a camping trip, an I never took it out." he said throwing his thumb behind him at the green and black car.
"Oh, about that, I don't think that will fit in the portal." She said motioning toward it.
Spike who was tried of getting all this exposition at once complained. "Come on twilight we only have until midnight."
"Sorry you're right, come on we can talk later.". Twilight started walking to the back part of the statue. She then walked right through the reflective surface.
"What?" Ben said, astonished by what had taken place before him.
"You scared?" Spike teased with a mischievous look on his face.
"No just surprised that's all." Ben retorted.
As Ben walked up to the "portal" he was hesitant to walk right through. He poked it and it seemed to ripple. Here goes nothing. Ben thought as he walked through and saw a multitude of colors.
