Wish that I could fly,way up in the sky,like a bird so high. Oh I might just try.
Today was the day that everyone dreaded. Family,friends, fans, everyone. Why? Because today was Sunset Shimmer's funeral and of course it was raining. Nobody could of ever guessed this day would of come along as soon as it did. Sunset was so young,talented,smart,kind,pretty...loving and despite all that she was taken from the world too soon. All the girls were walking towards the church,their heads hanging as they just remained quiet the whole journey. The only thing that caused them to lift their heads was the sight of purple hair in front of them. Rainbow only growled and stormed up to the girl,who had their back to them,despite the other girls trying to stop her.
"You've got some fucking nerve showing up her,Twi-" Rainbow stopped talking when the girl turned around to reveal it wasn't human Twilight. Princess Twilight just looked at Rainbow with bloodshot eyes and tear stained cheeks.
"-light...Princess Twilight I-I'm-"
"I understand," Princess Twilight stopped her by putting up a hand,her voice cracking slightly when she spoke. She lowered her hand to the clothing of her outfit,gripping it tightly and gritting her teeth. Rarity looked up at Applejack who just motioned for her to go and talk to the equestrian turned human. Rarity let go of Applejack's arm before slowly walking over to Twilight,slipping a hand to her shoulder and squeezing it.
"Darling..are you sure you're okay?" Rarity asked softly,looking at her with concern,worry and just pure sadness. Twilight could only glance up at the fashionista before reverting her gaze back to the floor,tears sliding down her cheeks again and hitting the floor with a splash as they hit a puddle by her feet.
"I just..I just thought she'd live long enough to come back to Equestria..like she said she would. I wish I could speak to her again...just once more.." Twilight sobbed,lifting her arm to cover her teary eyes from the girls line of sight. All the girls just rushed over and enveloped her in a hug,Twilight gripping onto Fluttershy's shirt as she was the closest to her in this group hug.
"It's time to go in," A voice spoke from behind the girls and they all turned to look up at the tall figure.
"Principal Celestia? I thought you already went in," Rainbow spoke up,raising an eyebrow before she felt Twilight shift through everyone to stand next to Celestia.
"Girls..this isn't Principal Celestia..this is Princess Celestia. Sunset's old teacher and my current one," Twilight spoke up causing all the girls to gasp as they began to bow their heads. Celestia could only let a small smile slip past before clearing her throat to signal the girls to lift their heads.
"There is no need to be formal," She spoke softly although her voice still held its powerful aura to it. "We are all here for the same reason,"
All the girls just stood silently,their eyes on the floor before Applejack lifted her head to look up at the taller woman. "Sunset would of been happy ya'll came..." Applejack spoke quietly but barely loud enough so that Princess Celstia could hear it. Her head just turned away and back down again before she saw her opening her mouth out of the corner of her eye.
"I know..." Celestia responded somewhat flatly. It was nowhere near meant to be intentionally nasty sounding but Celestia was just feeling as guilty as everyone else. Sunset was like a daughter to her and then after everything crumbled and Sunset ran off she wanted so badly to be angry at her..but she couldn't. All she wanted to was to sort everything out with the bacon haired girl but now that was no longer a option and that..just really hit her hard. Everyone stood silently for about a minute before they all gave each other a look that signaled for all of them to finally head inside.

The service was like you'd except. Sad,hearfelt and overall a odd mixture of miserable and happiness. The happiness part being the celebration of life. But now it was the part that was really going to be like an arrow through the heart. The speech. More accuratly Rainbow's speech. All the girls had given her the look the go up which only fueled Rainbow's fear. She stood up none the less and began to walked over to the podium at the front of the large church hall. She put the pieces of paper on the stand before looking over the hall and gulping slightly at the amount of people. The whole school was here,Princess Twilight and Celestia,all of the girls. She shook her head slightly and let out a breath before finally beginning to speak.
"Sunset..Sunset was a good friend to all of us..." Rainbow started,quickly glancing down to her script but kept stuttering on some of the words. She shifted her eyes up to the crowd and then back down to the papers a good few times before she just took the pieces of paper and ripped them in half,throwing them away.
"You know what? Sunset never used to be a friend. Actually she was so damn far from being a friend to any of us. After we blasted her out of the sky with that rainbow blast we all thought this power crazed girl would fight back but no..she gave in and the only reason she did what she did was because she didn't know the first thing about friendship! Nobody was there to teach her so she did what she only thought she could. After the fall formal I wanted to hate her so bad but I could..I..I just couldn't. Because after getting to know Sunset,she became one the the greatest people I've ever known. She helped get my dream of being famous on track,she helped the girls and I everytime we were in need of something and..and jesus..I'm going to miss this girl so much because..she was like a sister to me..family.." Rainbow finished before tears began to slip down her cheek. She gripped the podium before walking off the stage and towards the girls again only to see all of them in tears as well. Even Twilight and Celestia. Rarity was the one to finally speak up through the sobbing.
"Darling...that was beautiful.."

Sunset's coffin was lowered into the ground with the soft melody of a dramatic but calm song playing. All the girls just watched in silence as soil began getting thrown into the hole the coffin was in,the sounds of sniffling and sobbing broke the silence every so often. After a good long while,the hole was completely covered up and everyone had go to Pinkie's house for the aftermath. The whole time at Pinkie's house everyone didn't know what to say until Fluttershy finally decided to speak up.
"Why didn't human Twilight come...?"
"Because she knows she killed Sunset. She can't face us because shes gulity. Its all her fault!" Rainbow shouted the last line,throwing her glass into the wall which caused the drink to spread out over the room and the glass to shatter. Her breathing was slow and heavy until she realised what she did and glanced over to Pinkie.
"Um..sorry Pinkie," Rainbow spoke softly which only got a wave of Pinkies hand to signal that she understood. Rainbow looked down at the shatter glass spread out on the floor before curling her hand into a fist,spinning on her heel and storming towards the front door.
"Dash where ah ya'll goin'?" Applejack asked while watching her rainbow haired friend race towards the door in both anger and sorrow.
"I'm going to find that bastard human Twilight and give her a piece of my mind!"
"Rainbow-"
"No! She needs to know what she did! She can't get away with this,its bullshit! Unless any of you think she was right to miss her loving girlfriends funreal and you want to stop me from doing this?" Rainbow challenged which got no responce from the girls whatsoever. Out of them all,Rainbow was the only one who spoke what they were all thinking. Rainbow opened the door slightly before looking back over at the girls over her shoulder.
"Thats what I thought." And with that Rainbow walked out into the rain,slamming the door behind her.

Rainbow slammed her fist multiple times into the Sparkles household front door before standing back and waiting for a responce. After a few seconds the door opened to reveal none other than human Twilight. Rainbow had snapped at this point when she saw her.
"You!"
"Crap!" Twilight shouted,spriting backwards into the house only to be chased after by Rainbow. Twilight ran all around her house until she saw the door was still open and went to make her escape but was out ran by Rainbow who ran to the door and slammed it shut with one quick motion. Twilight skidded to a stop,falling flat onto her butt due to the angle and speed she stopped at. Both Rainbow's hands were on the door as she leant into it only to push herself off it and turn to look at Twilight with flames in her eyes.
"You..you will not get out of this." Rainbow pratcially snarled at Twilight,storming up to her and streching out her arm only to point a finger at Twilight "You murdered,Sunset. Murderer...MURDERER!"
"I-it wasn't like that!" Twilight shot back quickly
"Liar!" Rainbow scream causing Twilight flinch inwardly. "If you had seen that damn truck coming she would still be alive! ...she would still be here..."
"I'm sorry..."
"Yeah well sorry ain't good enough. Fucking sorry won't bring her back! If you had just!...if you had just stayed around and waited for Sunset to explain..none of this crap would have happened! It took so long to convince her to do that with Rarity and even then we just told her to pretend it was you. If you had just..waited..then one of my best friends wouldn't be in a hole in the ground!"
Twilight remained quiet. As much as she wanted to retaliate she knew Rainbow was right. She had accused Sunset of cheating without sticking around to find out the circumstances. She had left Sunset humiliated on stage in front of hundrends of thousands of people. She had killed Sunset by not looking where she was going. It was all...
"My fault..."
Rainbow looked at the younger girl with anger but not as much as before before her face finally went deadpanned as she began to walk to the door,leaving Twilight with her head hanging.
"You know.." Rainbow started with her hand gripping the door knob. Her forehead was against the door and her eyes began to water though she just sniffed loudly and stood straight again although her hand was still firmly on the door knob. "After everything that happened...everything you did. She still loved you. She never stopped loving you..."
Twilight lifted her head at this. Tears streaming down her face like a running tap. Rainbow took one glance at her over her own shoulder before looking back at the door,opening it.
"She made a mistake loving you." Rainbow spat harshly,storming out into the rain while slamming the door behind her and leaving a fragile and broken Twilight slumped on the floor,sobbing and wheezing.

Twilight finally walked along the water soaked grass to Sunset's grave. The small footsteps stopped dead in front of the grave before her umbrella dropped and Twilight fell to her knees,gripping the grass tightly as tears spilt in bucket loads.
"Sunset..oh god Sunset..I'm so sorry. I never wanted this to happen.." Twilight sobbed,her voice cracking when she tried to catch a breath while hanging her head. Her hair was down for the first time in a very long time. The only other time she had her hair down was on hers and Sunset's first date. Her fringe was touching the grass now as she dug her nails into the soil. The only sounds that could be heard now was the sound of the rain picking up and the soft words of 'I'm sorry' repeating over and over again. Twilight had finally worn herself as she just collpased on the grave,her body pulling her into sleeps sweet embrace. Shining Armour got out of the car and went looking for his sister only to see her curled up on Sunset's grave. He frowned and scooped her up before carrying her back to the car.
