My beginning
Most ponies just think I'm lazy, sleeping and taking so many naps, that however is not the case. I have to care and provide for all my vamponies. Every single one that lives in my Castle. And I'm of the royal blood line, therefor the sun will not hurt me. However it's brightness is quite annoying. It won't kill me but I always put on sunscreen before I leave my house, in the middle of the day, it's just a good thing to keep on hoof in case I get to hot. I'm a princess by night and an awesome hero by day.
My birthday is coming up. I'm turning 115, but my friends will never know my true age... Unless I were to tell them, but I can't do that can I? No. I can't risk it. If they panic or spread my secret in any possible way..... I'd be forced to get rid of them and every pony they told. Me more than most vamponies don't like to kill unless we have to. We have lived peacefully for decades now, and they're my friends! I couldn't live with myself if I were to hurt them.
I was only 43 years old when I wanted to rebel against my fathers ways, and save the ponies. When my father heard of my idea to defend the ponies instead of killing them he shunned me. He couldn't be right, right? All those stories all the books, the stories telling us about how awful all the ponies are. That couldn't possible be true. They can't all be like that right? It wasn't long after that that my father was killed.
I was only about four years old in comparison to a pony but already I was to rule over all the vampires. I mean it was my job after all, being a direct descendent from Count Dracula and the royal blood line. However the counsel always laughed at me and called me stupid for my ideas. They said my father was better, and If I wanted to be a good ruler, I would follow in his hoof steps. But I disagreed, instead I made a deal with them. I would go through with one of my plans. If it was a success we would continue, and they would have to start listening to me and actually consider my ideas. They had to realize that my ideas might turn out to be for the better.
So that night, me and a group of my gaurds went out and got a blood truck. We sent out letters to all the high schools asking if they would like to participate in our blood bank. They didn't know that we were vamponies. Nor did they know that their blood wouldn't go to use the way they thought it would, no, it would save lives, this much is true, but it's main use was mostly to satisfy vamponies. But either way, that was just the beginning of my plans.
The first thing I did was set up the castle. Now all the rooms, except for the two main towers, would be turned into guest rooms for all my vamponies. All the vamponies in the area were offered a room, and would be given daily rations by the pint. They all agreed to help hunt animals in the ever free that were coming to close to the ponies and to help run blood banks. This also would help me to provide food for my subjects.
As time moved on, I had more castles made across the globe for my vamponies. We had a steady easy food supply, that was simply given to us by the ponies without harm. However the closer I got to the ponies, the more I wondered what it would be like to be with them. The more I thought of this the more I longed to see the sun.
It's been about 70 years since then, and I am now 115. Almost a full adult. Princess Luna came to me the other night. She told me that she's been watching me and my dreams sense my father's death. She told me that she was proud of me, for all the things I have done, for all the things that I've accomplished. She said that she knew of my dream to see the sun and to care for all of my subjects. She said she knew that that was what I wanted, but that at the same time that I wanted to be free.
"I have seen your dreams Rainbow, I can tell you miss your mother very much. But you also hold bitterness in your heart. You must let go. If you dwell on the past it will control you. Trust me, I know how you feel. I once made the same mistake, and it took me a thousand years to find myself again. Don't loose yourself as I did. Now, all that aside, I have come to inform you that I would like to propose a deal," Princess Luna told me.
"Ok, what is it you wish to propose," I asked trying to sound as regal and mature as she was.
Oh my gosh! An alicorn! I'm talking to an alicorn! I'm meeting a real life pony! N-no! Come on Rainbow Dash, play it cool, play it cool. I mentally told myself. I stayed calm but inside I was jumping up to the moon and stars with happiness.
"If you promise to make it law among your subjects, that the blood you seek for survival, will be taken peacefully without harm from my ponies, I shall take you under thys wing as a personal student. And I will help you live amongst the ponies like you wish."
"Really!?" I asked my eyes filled with stars.
Princess Luna smiled, "Yes but you must agree to the condition!"
"Wait! What condition?" I asked, now listening very carefully. It was one thing to mess something up concerning me, but it was another to agree to something that could affect my subjects negatively.
"You must promise to continue your rule over your subjects, as to keep them from harm. As well as make the law I ordered earlier."
"Ok, is that it?"
"No, you need a spell," Luna replied with a smile.
"A.....spell," I asked unsure as to where this was going.
"Indeed, a spell. You see your fangs, bat wings, and pointed ears may startle my little ponies. We don't want that. We want them to except you and feel safe around you."
"Wait so your, like, really serious?! I get to be a pony?!"
"Yes, but only when you choose to be. The spell will activate and deactivate on your command. However there is one more you should know," The Moon Princess said.
"Alright, lay it on me."
"If you wish to be a pony by day and a vampire by night, you must go to school."
"School?" I asked to make sure that I heard her correctly.
"Yes school," Luna confirmed.
"But I already completed school decades ago," I explained.
"Yes but amongst the ponies you are only 15 years old, and it is law that you go to school until your 18 years of age. You never know, they might teach you something you haven't learned. It's also a good way for you to meet ponies and make some friends."
"Ok, do it! I'm ready," I told the Moon Princess confidently.
"Very well," Luna replied lighting up her horn.
I felt her horn gently tap my head and the ground began to shake.
"Whoa!" I yelled, my eyes darting around in confusion.
"I will see you soon, Rainbow Dash!" I heard Luna call from above as everything began to dissolve into nothing.
I woke up.
