I had always known I was different. Ponies staring at me, giving a confused look, my mother pulling the blinds of the carriage down, and driving on. But one girl was different. Clarity. When others laughed at me, she defended me, comforted me, even saved me a couple of times. Her purple hair to my black, horn to my wings, and yin to my yang. All my memories are with her. Even when Discord, Sombra, Chrysalis, Tyrek, and nightmare moon attacked, we stood together. When I was captured by Sombra, she rescued me. When I found out I was adopted, she comforted me. That fateful night, I set out to find my real parents, she came with me. I'll always remember how kind she was to me.How she cried when evil took over me and she had to use the Elements of Harmony on me. I was turned to stone immediately, and transported t the Canterlot Royal Gardens, a mere, powerless statue. A figurine. Deprived of all my magic. The only ponies to pay attention to me were, of course, Clarity, and Celestia's son. I thought he had fallen in love with me. He would leave gifts for me, chocolates and such. But, on my last day, I realized I was in love with him. When I woke up, I was a normal pony again.
This feeling in my stone chest makes my heart flutter. What? What is this Feeling? Compassion? Anger? Pain? No. It couldn't be- Love? Why would I, of all mares, be in love? And with who but Celestia's son? This feeling is confusing me. He is the only pony my age. But what would Clarity say? I know what Cadence would say.
"Oh sweetie, that's so nice!" Ugh. Mother was always so naive. So caring. Caring and love is for the weak. Suddenly I remember- It's my last day! Oh, how I'll be free! Clarity and I will need to catch up on the times. I can tell Sundust how I feel! What will I say? What will I do? I'll just wait until morning.
When I wake up, I'm a normal pony. Myself again. Now to find Sundust and tell him. I'm not afraid anymore. First, I find Celestia. Sitting on her gold throne, Luna by her side, just like when I left. The feeling is getting stronger. Ugh. I don't have time to be in love, I have to find my real parents. I find Sundust's room and knock. He opens the door, and I step inside.
"Look, I'm going to make this quick. I really like you, as more than a friend. You helped me when no one else did, and you waited for me. If you don't like me back, then we can just be friends." I finish, taking a breath.
"I like you too. And I think we could be together." He says taking my hoof. My cheeks turn as red as his hair.
"I'd like to meet your mother. You know, Celestia." I say. We run to the throne room, but no one is there. We look in the garden, Celestia's favorite place, she's not there, but Clarity is there! I run to my best friend, tears in my eyes. We embrace for the first time in one thousand years.
"Chryssi, you're a general now. Compliments of Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, And Princess Celestia." Clarity says pulling back from my embrace. I'm happy but I have to tell her the awful news.
"My mother is dead." I say, tears in my eyes.
"You found your real mother? That's amazing! Except that she's dead and all." She says.
"She visited me a few times, and didn't know I could hear and see. She said, "my daughter, I love you." One day she said she was going to die. I wished I could hug her, but I couldn't. My mother is Chrysalis, and my father is Discord." I found a lump in my throat forming.
'' That's really sad Chryssi, but I bet she knows you miss her and love her. I understand that feeling of losing a parent." "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO LOSE TWO SETS OF PARENTS! YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN PERFECT! I HAD TO LIVE ON THE STREETS, AND WHEN I FINALLY FOUND MY DAD, HE WAS EVIL. I WAS EVIL WITH HIM, SO THAT I COULD BE WITH MY REAL DAD. BUT HE'S DEAD TOO. DO YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO FIND OUT YOU'RE ADOPTED, GO AND LOOK FOR YOUR REAL PARENTS, FIND ONE OF THEM, ONLY TO BE TURNED TO STONE FOR A THOUSAND YEARS? AND WHEN YOU FINALLY GET OUT, YOUR ONLY OTHER PARENT DIES? YOU PROBABLY DON'T BECAUSE EVERYTHING BAD HAPPENS TO ME!" I yell, a sudden sense of anger filling me like fire.
"I don't Chryssi. But I do know what it's like to love you." Illusion says.
"Aww. Did you hear that Chryssi? He loves you!" Clarity exclaims. "I wish I had a relationship like you two."
"Clarity, you'll find the one, I promise. If you don't, I'll pay you 50 bits." I say, smiling and blushing.
"Yeah, I'm with Chryssi. You'll find the one, and he will be perfect." Illusion says, smiling also.
"Well, if I don't, you owe me 50 bits." Clarity says, laughing.
I laugh too. Illusion laughs too. A perfect end to a perfect day.
"Wake up sleepyhead!" A voice calls, sounding like it's underwater.
"Screwball? I haven't seen you in one thousand years! How have you been? I've missed you so much!" I say, looking into the face of my half-sister, a girl with purple and white hair, spiral eyes, and light purple skin.
"Yeah silly! I'm here! Come and play!" she says, her face aglow.
"Chryssi! Wake up!" the voice of Clarity wakes me up.
"What? I was having the best dream, and you woke me up from it!" "What was it about?"
