Rainbow Dash and Pinkamena are adjusting to the upgrades made to the rainbow factory after one of Rainbow's employees almost wrecked the place after trying to escape. Pinkamena, at that time, was getting all of her stuff packed up to move into the factory. When she returned, she saw what happened and gave an idea to improve the use of the machine. They just finished the upgrades, but Rainbow doesn't know if the machine is ready yet...
Ever wonder what would happen if all the famous dark fan projects in the MLP fandom shared a universe?? Well what if I told you...that they do.
"SOLDIER!" Rainbow Dash yelled at her employee, "OVER HERE, NOW!!" The employee ran over with a gasp to catch his breath, he had been running around, trying his best to keep up with the recent restoration and upgrading of the factory. With all going on, every employee was just too exhausted. "Is it ready yet?" Rainbow Dash said with an impatient growl. He simply nodded. "Excellent, you can take a break with the others, we will call you all out for the show. Now please bring my partner in here, NOW!" The employee nodded and flew off. Pinkamena came out after a few seconds. The last time Rainbow was in Ponyville, before Scootaloo came into the factory, she had an interesting, almost deadly, situation with Pinkie Pie. She was able to convince Pinkie to let her go, and in return Pinkie, who later went even more insane and turned into Pinkamena, co-owned the rainbow factory alongside Rainbow Dash, even making some improvements.
"Dashie!!" The pink pony exclaimed, "Is it time already?!"
"It sure is." Rainbow said.
"It was lucky that your cough stopped the apocalypse, how did that happen again??" Pinkie wondered.
"Don't you remember? Twilight did some experiments in a sterile room on a diseased pony and found a spell to cure me! Leaving every pony weak after being cured, perfect for us." Rainbow smirked. Pinkie returned the face as they winked in unison.
"Now we have a much wider variety!" Pinkie said happily.
"Yea but don't forget about Twilight, remember that she went all bonkers and almost killed us all! When her number comes up, be careful!" Rainbow seemed a bit worried.
"Hey don't worry, you'll be with me! Now let's get the show on!" The two ponies called all the employees to the room with the new and improved device. Every pony was silent. Rainbow Dash had no speech for this presentation, nor did Pinkie. They simply chose Pinkie's next number, and then...it started.
"Who wants to play?" Pinkie said with a knife in her mouth, and a large grin on her face. Every pony in there shuddered in terror as she took a small, timid unicorn who had a tiny cracked remain of what used to be a horn. Pinkie took the pony, and stabbed her. She slowly cut off one of her cutie marks, and dragged the unconscious filly out of the cell, locking the door behind her. Then Rainbow was up, she took a hold of the small unicorn, hooked her up to the machine. The filly woke up right then and there.
Trying to get out, she struggled in complete horror. It was too late, the machine had started up. Her ribs snapped, some bones poked through her hips. She was tossed in the machine, but instead of spectra coming out of the tubes at the end, the machine spewed out smoke, and then the colors came out brighter than ever. Pinkie was so excited she could hardly keep still anymore, she ran to the end of the machine. After waiting, the machine dinged, and a tray full of cupcakes came out. The machine had taken the color, and then used the corpse to make the cupcakes in front of them. Pinkie was ecstatic, she handed a cupcake to Rainbow and they tapped them together, and both bit into them. They were delicious.
Days passed, when suddenly, Rainbow heard a scream! It was Pinkie's, she was next to the cell...it was empty. Every pony was so focused on the new upgrades that they forgot to get more victims. Pinkie didn't expect this, nor did Rainbow Dash. "Don't sweat it Pinkie, we can just get some new victims! Just like we did when we first started." Rainbow said.
Pinkamena got up, she simply said, " You're right, we can do this. After all," she smirked "we did start the new apocalypse!"
"Exactly, now let's go, grab this month's numbers! We'll go get them ourselves." Pinkie smiled and grabbed her stuff, plus one cupcake with a label on it. It was a picture of Bon Bon's cutie mark.
The two ponies left the factory, it was night so every pony was out doing the errands that they were too afraid to do in the daytime. It was the best time for the two ponies to do their dirty work. They were about to strike their first number, when Pinkie yelped! Rainbow quickly turned around with her knife out and ready, but to her shock Pinkie wasn't fighting just anypony, it was Rarity! "Rarity?!" Rainbow yelled, thewhite unicorn looked at the blue mare. Rainbow Dash was in shock, she had blood all over her with a doll on her back that seemed to be connected to her, and one eye was black with a white pupil. The doll she was carrying wasn't normal either, Rainbow noticed that it was a living Pinkamena doll!
"Rainbow Dash?" The insane unicorn said, seeming to have a bit of control.
"Rarity," Rainbow exclaimed "why are you hurting Pinkie?!" Rainbow was now holding the knife in her hoof so she could talk easier, but still tightly gripping it.
"Pinkie?!" Rarity looked down at the pink, straight haired mare. "I'm so sorry!" she apologized, "I didn't recognize either of you until now!! I didn't mean to.."
"It's okay," Pinkie interrupted, "in fact I have a use for that hobby of yours if you're interested."
Rarity, looking down at Pinkie, simply said, "I started going by lil miss Rarity to others, but for friends I like sticking with Rarity. What did you have in mind?" she smiled.
When they got back to the factory, Rarity was in aw. They had finished one months batch of numbers, managing to bring them all back before they all woke up, the Pegasie had no wings, the unicorns had no horns, and the earth ponies had the bottoms of their hooves cut off. The machine was in full swing, pumping out colors from today's numbers, and spewing out trays full of cupcakes, all labeled.
"When you said Rainbow factory, I certainly did NOT expect this!" Rarity said with a huge smile, she was one of them now. Pinkie put an arm around her.
"You're hired, manager." Pinkie said, smiling.
Pinkie and Rainbow took a day off. With Rarity managing it all for the first time with no hesitation, she was trusted now. When the two left, Pinkie stopped on the way out.
"What is it Pinkie??" Rainbow said as she faced her partner, she was surprised to see Pinkie with her knife in her mouth. She was twitching around, looking for something...she took the knife out of her mouth and held it in her hoof.
"I heard something." She seemed worried, but then turned to face her partner. Suddenly forgetting what she was worried about, she said, "It's nothing, let's go." Little did they know a pair of eyes was watching the two of them.
After Pinkie And Rainbow finally left, Pinkie started to think.
"Hey Dashie," she said with a smile, "I have an idea! If Rarity is as insane as Twilight, how about we see if we can find other pony monsters like us! I mean they have to be around. I think if we recruit Twilight as well, we can OW!!" The ponies fell as they ran into something, but when they looked up, it was quite a surprise. They saw two figures, with the vague shapes of Rarity and Fluttershy, but with different cutie marks and different appearances. The one that looked like Rarity was wearing a pink generals hat and had purplish hair with red stripes going through it. Her hoof had a device on it that fit like a glove, and her cutie mark was an apple with a jewel in the middle, the same jewel as her original cutie mark. As for the Fluttershy figure, she wore a red and white striped hat, and her mane was the same shade of red with her tail white. Her fur was a paler shade of yellow, one of her eyes surrounded in red with a red pupil, and her cutie mark was a bloody butterfly with speakers for wings.
"Fluttershy?? Rarity??" Rainbow dash said, puzzled. They had already found Rarity, and Fluttershy was dead!
The two simply replied, the Fluttershy figure starting with, "It's um, Fluttershout,"
"AND Rarifruit!" The Rarity figure interrupted.
"What happened?!" Pinkie exclaimed.
Rarifruit only said, "Long story, let's just say we have high, SPIRITS, for monsters." Fluttershout giggled at the statement.
While Pinkie and Rainbow shared a look of excitement and turned back to say, "Need a job?"
The two ponies only replied with, "If you hire our friends as well."
After meeting Fluttershout, Rarifruit, and the other elements of insanity, Rainbow accepted Pinkie's idea. Each night they went out for victims and kept an eye out for pony monsters, but no luck. They just came back each night with victims. Then one day they remembered THEIR Twilight. Brutalight surely wasn't theirs as Rarifruit proved earlier that none of the elements of insanity were, so they went for it. After walking into Twilight's basement, they saw she was busy. They got her attention rather quickly.
"Well," Twilight said "you came back." She was angry at them for being the only two to manage to escape, saving their friends that night, Dash only imagined what would have happened if they didn't, as she wondered what would have happened if Pinkie got her, or if it was all a dream that led to her killing Pinkie out of paranoia. She brought her attention back to Twilight and apologized.
Pinkie understood Twilight's anger, so she started, "Twilight, we really are sorry. I have my job as well, which involves what you do in your studies." Twilight was listening intently, "I understand why you did this, to a certain extent. That's why I escaped with Dashie!" Pinkie finished, she awaited Twilight's response. There was none.
Pinkie nudged Rainbow who said immediately after, "We wanted to offer you a special job, for you to study as much as you want on any pony you want."
All Twilight said was, "I accept your apology, and the opportunity." They all smiled, it was a success.
After Twilight got to work, all the other pony monsters came to them. They realized after they came that they had most of the pony monsters already! Really the only ones who came were Big Macintosh, who helps with the louder ones, and the Candy-mare, who helps Pinkis Cupcake with delivering the cupcakes to Pinkamena! In turn Big Mac got his own quiet break room, and the Candy-mare got a single cupcake from each batch, as Pinkis did. All was going excellently! They had nothing to worry about, but when Pinkie and Rainbow went out for victims one day, Pinkie started twitching around again, knife in mouth, looking for something. The only difference is for a second Rainbow did as well, until she saw Pinkie again. When Pinkie saw Rainbow she stopped as well. They opened their mouths, but no words came out.
Then Pinkie broke the silence with two simple words, "Let's go." Then the two eyes, followed by a bloody hoof with a chain on it, came out once more.
After a month or two everything went perfectly! Pinkis Cupcake and the Candy-mare delivering the cupcakes, Brutalight helping Rarity manage things, Fluttershout and Rarifruit as heads of the employees that weren't pony monsters. Even Applepills was doing an excellent job knocking out the younger ones when their numbers came up! Everything was great, until one day when Twilight had a day off. She invited the pony monsters and a few others over for a party, even Zecora came under the assumption that it was a regular party. After every normal pony left screaming in terror and the pony-monsters left to get back to work, Twilight had an interesting night. Rainbow and Pinkie saw that Twilight didn't show up to work so they sent out some guards. They never returned.
Rainbow sent one more guard to secretly set up a security camera in Twilights home, they were shocked to find Twilight simply walking around, with her smarty pants doll. They didn't know what to do, so for a few days it was left alone. Then a commotion started. Every pony looked over to see all of the ponies in the cell, dead. They couldn't use them because the machine only takes LIVE ponies. Only three ponies were allowed in the cell, Rainbine, Applepills, and Big Mac. Rainbine was also an engineer and she was working on the machine when it happened, Applepills was hugging her boxes of pills that she was given, so the only pony left was Big Mac.
Rainbow stormed into his break room, "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" She screamed "THOSE WERE ALL OF THIS MONTH'S PONIES, PINKIE CAN'T GET HER CUPCAKES IN! WE CAN'T MAKE RAINBOWS AT ALL," Rainbow Dash caught her breath, and the only other words that came out were, "you're fired...personally." Big Mac, eyes widened, shuddered. He didn't realize that doing his job meant getting fired, but Twilight told him WHO he had permission to kill! Rarity didn't know who was wanted to just be killed, nor did Brutalight! After he was put in the machine, the brightest of red came out of Big Mac's corpse, and all of the cupcakes made, were all used to treat Pinkamena and Rainbow's headaches.
"What will we do?" Pinkie said. Rainbow didn't know, she bit a cupcake, and thought. She thought back to the last time the cell was empty, before they met Rarity.
"Let's get next month's numbers instead." Rainbow sighed, Pinkie only looked up and smiled. Finishing off the cupcakes, they left.
They looked all over town, and split up to cover more ground. No pony was there. Then Pinkie turned around, she screamed in horror! Rainbow heard all the way across town, and flew back to her partner as fast as possible!
When she finally saw Pinkie, the pink mare was chained up, with two chains embedded in her back left, and front right hoof. Around her neck, was what looked like a wheel from a carriage, only metal instead of wooden, that also was embedded in her neck. The two cutie marks on her flanks were scratched out violently. Rainbow sobbed thinking the unconscious mare was dead, she wasn't. Rainbow was grabbed by the same thing that grabbed Pinkie, but before getting dragged off, she saw Pinkie open her eyes. She gasped to see...they were pitch black.
Rainbow's heart was pounding as she looked for a way out. She was fluttering her wings, but this pony was stronger than Applejack, which meant that they HAD to have been haunted or something. Rainbow eventually gave up and thought about her friend. Pinkie was gone, almost completely. Rainbow started to cry again, but then they stopped. She looked up at the pony that was trying to hurt her. She lifted a fist, but stopped mid-punch. The pony in front of her, looked almost exactly like Pinkie, only with yellow fur that was stained with red all over, and pink hair that looked almost like Pinkie's coat color, the mare's wings had no more feathers. The biggest clue as to who this used to be, was the cutie mark under the scratches, three pink butterflies. Rainbow knew she would soon look like this, as haunted and hurt as her other friends, but she didn't struggle. Why? Because she would be back in business with her partner, and best friend.
Rainbow Dash rubbed her head, moaning. Shortly after she heard a familiar, slightly distorted voice.
"Dashie!" The high pitched voice said, as a pink figure walked slowly from out of the shadows.
"Ugh...Pinkie?" Rainbow Dash said, noticing that her voice was slightly distorted as well.
"Do you feel, different?" Pinkie said, she said the word different in a somewhat more demonic tone.
"Yea...I like it. I LOVE it." Dash said, opening her eyes for the first time, they were pitch black.
"Well, want to go do what we do best?" Pinkie asked, but before Rainbow could answer, another voice cut her off.
"No...STAY!! Don't leave again..." As the voice got louder, Pinkie and Rainbow turned to face Fluttershy. Confused at first, Pinkie and Rainbow simply looked at each other, and smirked. They both looked back at Fluttershy.
"Who said we would leave you?" Rainbow smiled.
Pinkie giggled as she said, "Yea Flutters! We found you, now we can have fun together!" Fluttershy smiled, when all of the sudden they heard something.
"Rainbow, Pinkie!" the voice called.
"Heh, Rarity..." Rainbow smiled a sinister smile. "You two take the sides, then I'll corner her." The other two nodded as they got to work. Fluttershy started.
"Is that you I hear? You CAME for me!" Her distorted voice made it a bit creepy, but Rarity still answered.
"Fluttershy darling, is that you?" Rarity sounded confused. Fluttershy then came out of the shadows, slowly. Rarity stood frozen, looking at what had come of her friend. She was in the middle of a three way intersection, so she chose a direction and started to run.
"Come back, please! Come back!" Fluttershy called, as she nodded to Pinkie.
Pinkie giggled, "Come here! I want you." she made some sounds with her tongue and giggled some more. Rarity ran back towards Fluttershy to get to the last available path. "I see you...Bonjour! Hide and seek HIDE AND SEEK!!! Come out, you'll like what I have planned." Rarity stopped as she saw Rainbow in her only escape route, she was trapped. She hugged her living Pinkamena doll as she shuddered in place.
"Get over here!" Rainbow snapped, "You thought you'd get away didn't you! Heh, you won't get away this time, I found you once so I could find you again! Just remember, I CAN find you, I will KILL you!" Rainbow nodded to the other two as Rarity squealed.
"Is that you I hear?" Fluttershy said with a smile.
"Let me...TASTE you." Pinkie licked her lips after saying that.
"Yes...keep making those sounds." Rainbow said as the three mares walked towards Rarity, giving her no more room to breath. Rarity cried for help, but it was too late.
