Starlight goes to therapy.

Starlight has always been somewhat of a troubled child. Even with her good grades, the only pony she's ever really connected with is Sunburst.

And because of this her parents decide to send her to therapy.

"NO!" Starlight yells, spinning around to face her therapist, Ms. Kelly. Ms. Kelly's an old earth pony with white fur and a frizzy gray mane who wears a long trench coat.

She sighs, sitting on a couch in the corner of the room. She carefully stares down at the little filly. "You known, if you want my help, I'll help. But if you don't want me too, I won't."

The filly sits on the other couch, on the other side of the room sulkily. "I don't want to. My annoying parents just forced me to be here." She growls loudly.

The therapist smiles cockily. "Oh? Your annoying parents have told me a lot about you. Your friend recently moved away. I can understand if you're a bit moody about that."

She snorts. "Yeah. Sunburt's awesome! We've been the best of buds for such a long time! And he has to move, just because of a stupid cutie mark!"

Ms. Kelly smiles sweetly. "You can send him a letter. Your friendship dozen't have to end."

"It isn't the same! He's my only friend! And I couldn't make another friend at school, all the other fillies at the school are rude. They're lazy!" She says with a large frown.

"Have you tried talking to them?"

"They're the ones who talk to me, always insulting me and my guts for some reason." She's quiet for a long period of time. She then slides off the couch, walking over to a bookshelf, she levitates a board game over to Ms. Kelly. It's a game quite similar to Monopoly.

The two of them start playing as awkward silence stretches between them.

A random thought then 'hits' her head. She wonders if Starlight Glimmer has a personality disorder of sorts, storing the idea at the back of her brain.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" She says as she pushes her piece along the large board.

"A mayor. It's what my parents want me to be. I'll get to make sure ponies make the right decisions! They won't yell at me for practically no reason!" She slams a hoof against the ground, shaking all the pieces.

"Well, sounds cool. Well, Sunburst went to Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns, there's a theory that her school is used for looking candidates for new alicorns. If that theory is true, you might get to see him again."

She gives her a wide grin. "Let's hope! I can't handle some of my peers any longer! Sometimes I wish I could just shut them up with a simple spell!"

"Well, maybe we could just stop whining. There's definitely a solution for this." She slides the game to the side, and walks over to one of the bookcases. She stands up on her back hooves, pulling a tiny one down with her mouth, taking it back to the filly.

Starlight Glimmer stares down at it with a disgusted expression on her face. Three smiling cartoonish unicorns smile up at her. She slides it back. "What is this?"

"C'mon Starlight, let's just read through the book." They start flipping through the book.

Starlight looks up at her. "So, how do you think I could solve this problem?"

"Stretch your boundaries, meet new ponies. So, not everypony will like you, but you will make a friend eventually." She gently wraps a foreleg around the little filly.

Starlight sighs. "I'll try that. Maybe. I just wish we were all equal."

Ms. Kelly nods. "Well, we're all equal in one way or another, we're just not all treated that way."

The young unicorn frowns. "If we are all equal like you say, why aren't we treated that way?"

"Well, we're all unique in our own way. We have different." She taps a hoof against her cutie mark, a piece of paper framed with a golden frame. "We have cutie marks for a reason."

The gears in the filly's mind start whirling. "What if there was a town where we were all truly equal?"

"That'd be interesting. I'd surly be crazy if you didn't have a leader, though. You'd need a bunch of magic to keep it all in order." She points at Starlight's horn. "It's definitely not impossible." She the looks at the clock on the wall. "I guess is our session is done, I better get you to your parents."

The two of the stand up, walking out of the room, and towards the living room. They open up the door to the lobby.

Starlight's parents set down their magazines and Starlight walks over to them. Ms. Kelly waves at them. "I'll see you at the same time next week!" She then turns around and leaves.

The three of them parade out of the room together as the door closes behind them. "So, how was it?" Her father asks.

Starlight grins. "I got some ideas. I have a plan. This might actually be great!"

Her mother suddenly stops, pointing at her flank. "Is that a cutie mark?"

Starlight stares at her flank. "It is!"

Wait does this mean I should be therapist, She wonders, No, it's about being the mayor of that equal town I came up with. It's about making a difference and using my magic in the best way possible. Oh, this'll be great! I'll help ponies, Sunburst will be so proud of me!
