The tale of the forgotten Brother.
Equestria is ruled by two Alicorns one ruling the day and the other ruling the night, but this Equestria is much different then the one we remember or heard about no this is the Equestria that most remember as the time ruled by Discord and his kin but as I said that story we will focus on an latter date. My Job is to tell you the whole story and nothing but the truth,The first two Alicorns where one male and one female. The male's name was Pireal and the female was Dawningstar. She gave birth to three healthy foals two girls one boy, the girls you already know as princess Celestia and Luna however the other was named Morningstar, He was the youngest in all of his mothers foals and she loved him deeply and cherished him more then Celestia and Luna. Over time this caused both Celestia and Luna to harden their hearts against him and eventually hate him, One day his father caught his mother in bed with another stallion.
This caused Pireal great pain and anger so in retribution he took out some of his anger out on Morningstar who was helpless to do anything to stop him and deepened much on his mother, He often hid in Luna's room which in time caused them to bound while Celestia still hated her younger brother but loved her sister more. This often spared Luna and Morningstar there fathers wraith sense he loved his older daughter much more then his wife's younger foals, Morningstar grew up in the company of his abusive father along with Luna who did all she could to protect him from Pireal. However when Luna became nightmare moon no later in her preteens and was sent to the moon for 1,000 years. Morningstar once again became an subject to his fathers rage and anger, he blamed him for Luna however when Morningstar lashed out at his father with an arcane bolt His father in response sent him away for summer. Without anywhere to go Morningstar attended summer camp where he meet an filly who he came to care for.
At the end of summer camp the young mare admitted to had fallen deeply in love with him, Morniningstar was unable to return her love due to all the conflict that raged inside his heart. He returned to Canterlot to find a much kinder Celestia who was appointed by his Father,originally Morningstar was suppose to rule along side Celestia and Luna. However sense Luna was still on the Moon and Morningstar was at Summer camp the position fell to Celestia, despite how Celestia treated him as an colt he forgave her, He walked in side the royal castle to found his father waiting on him Morningstar greeted him by calling his father.
"Old goat."
His father leaves the castle but not before telling Morningstar his mother had died while he was away at summer camp, heartbroken Morningstar shuts himself inside his old room closing himself off from the outside world. Celestia sends her servants to take Morningstar his food and Something to drink . However under the full moon Morningstar was practicing his magic because he always found that the full moon amplified his magical abilities,however one of his spells backfired turning him into an werewolf. One of the guards went up to his room to see what was wrong and found Morningstar in werewolf form,it was only when a cloud covered the moon reveling the werewolf to be Morningstar the guards surrounded Morningstar while Celestia came to his room. His sister instead of being an loving caring pony that she was responded by calling Morningstar a abomination and Monster. Morningstar's heart build up with anger,sadness and shame. He pleaded with his sister to help him however like Luna she exiled Morningstar but not to the moon she had sent him to the Everfree forest to an tower called Suntower which was built by Discord as a gift to Celestia.
However during the Summer Sun celebration for Celestia he was allowed to return on orders of his sister. During Morningstars time in Suntower he practiced dark and forbidden magic. He wanted to show Celestia and his subjects what he could do however during the Celebration Morningstar summoned Zombies which in turn ruined the party. Celestia was furious with her younger brother and once again sent him back to Suntower, in response Morningstar threatened Celestia by retorting.
"What if I stayed and destroyed you where you stand?"
Guards once again surrounded him Morningstar then turned himself into shadow and vanished. Celestia Ordered that the family records containing the name Morningstar be stripped and others where to be destroyed and rewritten as the tale of the Two Sisters as if Morningstar never even existed. He latter on returns to Sun tower and finds an invite from the collage of magi,Morningstar accepted the invite to attend the collage so he could better learn and understand his magic. He becomes an apprentice under the wing of a Stallion name Mark who Morningstar latter on comes to think of as a father figure; Morningstar during one of his lessons meet an mare named Sapphire who he comes to fall in love with. After he helps her with brewing some potions for her alchemy class Morningstar gets an pentagram for a cutiemark,during his time with Sapphire they have an baby filly named Eveningstar.
During one of his lessons when Morningstar stepped out Sapphire brews the wrong ingredient which causes it explode,Sapphire died because of it. Morningstar blaming himself returns to his tower in the Everfree forest and raises his daughter by himself, however he turned all of his grief and sorrow into anger and jealousy towards Celestia, he vows to one day destroy her and to take his throne back by force.
Now you know the tragedy that is Morningstar,however what you do with this story is up to you. I am just an old pony after all but who to better to tell this tale then the one who cared for him? You see I am his teacher and it's my job to know everything about my students but i hope to one day see Morningstar back inside these very walls but what do I know? I am just an mage.
