Diamond Tiara was walking in a bad neighborhood in Ponyville.
"Everypony hates me." She whispered to herself
She sat down on the bench and tried to sleep. It was cold that night. She saw newspapers on the ground. She picked them up and tried to use them as a blanket. However, the newspapers were soggy. She sniffed them and it was not water that made these newspapers soggy. She threw them back on the ground and knew it was not going to be a pleasant night. She thought things couldn't get any worse until a cart passed by and ran over a mud pile covering Tiara in the mud. She began to cry and started thinking back of how this all happened to her.
*Start Flashback*
"Why are you taking my stuff? Where is my dad?" Diamond Tiara asked the ponies who are taking the stuff from her family's mansion.
"I don't know where your family is. All I know is that this is no longer your mansion. I'm sorry, but your family is going through financial problems and to pay for it, they need to sell this stuff." The stallion said while directing the other stallions moving things.
"Well, where am I going to live?" Diamond asked.
"I don't know little filly. I'm sorry." The Stallion said.
*End Flashback*
Diamond saw there was nothing she could do. She would have gone to Silver Spoon's home but they had a fight a few days earlier. She doubts she would help her. She even asked all the Cutie Mark Crusaders and all she got was a door to the face. No pony wanted her and some even made fake excuses that they didn't have enough room or they were too busy. Now she was here all alone, or so she thought.
"Look who we have here." A stallion said.
Diamond saw three stallions coming towards her.
"She looks nice, I wonder how much we can get for her." Another stallion said.
"Maybe 100 bits." Another stallion said.
The stallions got closer and Diamond galloped and they started to chase her. She barely outran them. Her lungs were burning and she wondered how long she could keep this chase up. She went back to the better side of the neighborhood in Ponyville and was still being chased.
"Help me!" Diamond shouted.
The stallions were still after her. She ran until she was grabbed by some pony in the alleyway that covered her mouth before she could scream. The stallions passed the alleyway and kept on galloping. Diamond tried to yell but there was a hoof covering her mouth. She struggled to try to get out of the grasp of who had her pinned to the wall.
"Stop thrashing, I just saved you." A Colt said.
Diamond stopped moving, and saw a colt that had a blue coat, green eyes, no cutie mark, he was a little dirty, and his mane was red. The Colt removed his hoof from her mouth and smiled at Diamond.
"Who, Who are you?" Diamond asked.
"My name is Micro Beat. I heard you scream and came to rescue you from those stallions chasing you. You should probably head home, it's late. Your parents must be worried sick." Micro Beat said.
Diamond started to go then she stopped where could she go. Micro Beat came up to her and looked at her giving her a what's wrong face.
"I can't go home. I'm *hic* I'm *hic* I'm homeless." Diamond said, starting to cry.
Diamond kept on crying and saw the Colt looking at her surprised. She thought the Colt was going to leave her. However, he went next to her and told her something that shocked her.
"Well, join the club. I'm homeless too." Micro Beat said.
Diamond was shocked. She couldn't believe he was homeless. It did explain why he was a bit dirty. He grabbed Diamond's hoof and brought her further into the alleyway. Once they got further, she thought it was a dead end, but then Micro Beat opened up a secret passage and told her to follow him. Diamond followed and saw she was in a small opening.
"It ain't much. Still, it's clean, I have a wireless refrigerator, a bed with a blanket, some bits, a roof over my head, and I know where a lake is to freshen up." Micro Beat said.
Anyways, what's your name?" Micro Beat asked.
"It's Diamond Tiara." Diamond said.
"That's a pretty name. I see you have a tiara for your cutie mark as well" Micro Beat said.
Diamond started to blush a little receiving that compliment. She looked around this small place Micro Beat called home and thought of something.
"How did you get all of this stuff?" Diamond asked.
"I stole some of it. I don't like doing it, but being homeless, it's the only thing I know how to do. I'm afraid that my cutie mark might be related to stealing. Still, it hasn't appeared yet, so I guess that's not my destiny. Anyway, I guess make yourself at home." Micro Beat said.
"Wait, your saying I should stay here with you?" Diamond asked.
"Well, you have nowhere else to go. I might as well offer you a place to stay. If you're hungry, I got some food in the refrigerator." Micro Beat said.
Diamond went to the refrigerator and got a Daisy Sandwich. She was very hungry and luckily there was more than one. Micro Beat just smiled at her.
"Is it okay if I eat more than one?" Diamond asked.
"Sure, I already ate and I could possibly get more supplies tomorrow. Once you're done, get some rest, it's getting late. I don't have a spare mattress so we have to share one. Anyways, goodnight." Micro Beat said walking to the bed.
Once Diamond was done eating, she decided to go to sleep as well. She blushed a little for sharing a bed with Micro Beat. Still, she had no other choice. She wondered what will happen tomorrow. Will she ever see her parents again? What will she do? Will she ever be rich again? Her thoughts were cut when Micro Beat gave her more of the blanket to warm herself up. Later, she and Micro Beat drifted off to sleep.
Diamond Tiara opened her eyes. She slept better than she thought she, would last night. She saw Micro Beat wasn't in the bed. Then she heard a noise coming from outside. It sounded like a guitar. The pony singing had a beautiful voice. Diamond got outside and saw Micro Beat with a guitar singing a song.
Diamond started to stomp her hooves which caught Micro Beat's attention. He smiled.
"That was a nice song. You have a good voice. Where did you get the guitar though?" Diamond asked.
"This guitar is what I have left of my parents before they got killed in a cart crash. I survived, and the guitar did to. After that here I am in Ponyville homeless." Micro Beat said.
"Sorry to hear that. Still you have a nice voice, and play very well." Diamond Tiara said.
Micro Beat blushed at that compliment. Micro Beat and Diamond Tiara had breakfast then Micro Beat said he was going out to get food, and supplies. Diamond Tiara decided to go to school. Even though she was homeless she still wanted education. Everypony at school looked at her. Everypony knew what happened to her. Still everypony was shocked that she looked normal as usual.
"Hey Diamond." Apple Bloom said walking with the Cutie Mark Crusaders following her.
Diamond looked at her angry. She asked for a home and all she got was a door to the face.
"Look Diamond i'm sorry for what I did yesterday. However if you need a place to stay we got a spare room." Apple Bloom said.
"No thanks i'm living somewhere else." Diamond said.
"Really where?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Um...Well...It's a small place, but it's still a home." Diamond said.
"Does anyone take care of you?" Scootaloo asked.
"Yeah so I don't need your help." Diamond said.
Micro Beat was getting what he needed for his home. He was pick pocketing ponies that passed him. Then Twilight saw him. Micro Beat saw her getting closer. He started to trot away. Then he started to trot a little faster. However Twilight kept following his pace. Then Micro Beat started to gallop, and Twilight chased after him.
"Hey Stop!" Twilight shouted.
Micro Beat kept galloping all the way to Sweet Apple Acres. Micro Beat went up a tree. Twilight looked around. Micro Beat then felt the tree shake violently and he fell.
"Oops sorry there Colt, but you shouldn't be in the tree when i'm buckin it." Applejack said.
"Hey!" Twilight shouted.
Micro Beat got caught by Twilight who body slammed him to the ground.
"Care to explain yourself." Twilight said.
Applejack just stood there in shock.
"What do you want!" Micro Beat shouted.
"I saw you stealing bits from ponies not to mention you stole mine a couple of days ago." Twilight said.
Micro Beat was in trouble. However he had something hidden in his pockets. He shot it at Twilight and she started shaking like crazy. Micro Beat shot a taser gun at her. He turned up the voltage until her mane stood up Then turned it up more until Micro Beat, and Applejack saw Twilight's skeleton. He turned it off and Twilight fell to the ground shaking. Micro Beat galloped away, and now Applejack was chasing him. Micro Beat had to find a place to hide. He saw a bush, and hid there. Luckily Applejack didn't see him. Then Micro Beat saw a school. He went inside. When he burst inside all eyes of startled students and Cheerilee where looking at him.
"Hello there are you new to this school?" Cheerilee asked.
Diamond looked at Micro Beat shocked. Before Micro Beat could answer Applejack came in. Micro Beat grabbed a marble bag from a students desk.
"Hey I lost my marbles." The student said.
Micro Beat jumped out the window with Applejack following him.
"That was awkward." Button Mash said.
Diamond got up from her seat and went after them. Then the Cutie Mark Crusaders went to.
"Where are you all going!?" Cheerilee shouted.
They didn't reply, and they went through the window as well.
"Once again awkward." Button Mash said.
Micro Beat was still being chased by Applejack. He opened the marble bag and dropped it all on the floor. He ran to a tree house he found. Applejack slipped right on her back when she tripped on the marbles. Diamond Tiara followed him and so did The Cutie Mark Crusaders. They got to the tree house of The Cutie Mark Crusaders where Micro Beat had the stun gun ready, and aiming at the door.
"Micro Beat what are you doing." Diamond said from behind the door.
"Wait you know that Colt?" Applejack said from behind the door.
Micro Beat opened the door. All of a sudden Twilight teleported inside the tree house. She looked even more mad. Her mane was still standing up. She body slammed him to the ground again.
"Diamond who is that Colt." Apple Bloom asked.
"His name is Micro Beat." Diamond said.
"Look i'm sorry Purple pony for stealing, but I had no other choice. I'm homeless so I steal to live. Right Diamond I told you." Micro Beat said.
Now everypony was staring at Diamond. She sighed.
"Guys say hello to Micro Beat the Colt i'm living with." Diamond said.
First everypony was quiet then the Cutie Mark Crusaders burst into laughing making Diamond blush.
"Wait so your homeless." Applejack said.
"Well sort of. I made my own home, and Diamond came last night. I took her in since she had nowhere else to go." Micro Beat said.
Twilight got off of him and started asking questions.
"W- w- w- where a- a-a- are y- y- your p-p parents?" Twilight asked still shaking from the shock.
Micro Beat went silent. He said he didn't want to talk about it.
"W- w- w- well i-i if." Twilight said and tried to calm herself from the shock and continued. "If you're homeless. I can take care of you. You didn't have to taser me." Twilight said.
"Hey, you body slammed me!.... Wait, you want to help me? You want to take care of me?" Micro Beat asked shocked.
"Sure, and Diamond, I'm sorry I was mean to you last night, you can come and stay at my house too." Twilight said.
"Thanks, but no thanks. Diamond you can stay with her if you want. I'm going back to my home." Micro Beat said walking away.
Every pony was shocked. Diamond followed him.
"What do you want?" Micro Beat asked.
"I'm going home with you." Diamond said.
That made Micro Beat smile. He was shocked. But still happy. Twilight, Applejack, and The Crusaders were stalking them as they went back to their home.
Once they made it back to their home, Twilight, Applejack, and the Crusaders were still stalking them.
"So, why did you decline Twilight's offer to stay at her home?" Diamond asked.
"I don't trust mares or stallions." Micro Beat said.
"Why?" Diamond asked.
Micro Beat breathed deeply and told her a big secret.
"When my parents died, I lived in Canterlot. I was taken to the orphanage. It was the worst place ever. They gave us cold food, they put you in the hole if you were bad, shock you if you were bad, and they put us in the hole just for laughs. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson where the leaders of it all. They were the only workers. I escaped one day with my friends." Micro Beat said trying to hold back tears of his memory in the orphanage.
"How?" Diamond said.
Micro Beat thought back to the night of his escape
*Flashback*
"This is it, I set up the traps with my friends earlier this morning, and stole a taser gun from Mr. Johnson's desk." Micro Beat said to himself.
Micro Beat left his room and saw Mr. and Mrs. Johnson making out. He gagged.
"Hey, loser's!!!!" Micro Beat shouted catching their attention.
Micro Beat's friends heard him shout and that was their cue. They left their rooms and galloped with him. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson galloped after them. They went to a door and opened it slightly to let the colts through, but when the Johnsons opened it all the way a pile of water balloons fell on them. Micro Beat went to the closet to get his guitar his parents gave him and then started to gallop again.
They kept galloping and used a rope they stole from the shed to climb down the window. It was a long way down, but they made it outside. The Johnsons saw them and went down the rope. Luckily, one of Micro Beat's friends that decided to stay, since he would be old enough to leave the orphanage tomorrow, was in the room that had the rope. They all smiled evilly when they saw him.
"Hey, Johnsons!" Micro Beat's friend shouted
The Johnsons looked up.
"Check this out!" Micro Beat's friend shouted.
Some kids woke up from their sleep and looked out there windows. He closed the window making the rope snap and the Johnsons fell all the down screaming.
*CRASH!*
After they fell Micro Beat's friend still wasn't done. For more revenge he threw a water balloon at the Johnson's that was full of something he's been holding since this morning.
*Splash*
The Johnson's were gagging on what just fell on them. Every kid in the orphanage saw this and laughed. After that Micro Beat and his friends escaped. They went their own ways. Micro Beat's friends had relatives that could take care of them, but Micro Beat didn't, he stowed away on a train that headed to Ponyville, made a house, and stole to live. Now here he was, homeless.
*End of flashback*
"So, that's how I escaped." Micro Beat said to Diamond after he told the whole story.
"What happened to your friend that stayed?" Diamond asked.
"I saw a newspaper that said he got arrested. However, one of his relatives saw him and remembered him so he got bailed out." Micro Beat said.
"So that's why you don't trust mares and stallions?" Diamond asked.
"Yeah, I also like living in my own house. Sure, I would like help with supplies, but living here makes me happy." Micro Beat said.
Twilight, Applejack, and the Crusaders finally decided to come in.
"I can help with your food problem." Applejack said.
"I can help with the other supplies." Twilight said.
"Really?" Micro Beat asked with joy.
They both nodded. Micro Beat smiled and came to hug them.
"Also, I'm staying." Diamond said.
Micro Beat was happy. After the eventful day, Applejack and Twilight gave Micro Beat the supplies he needed. Diamond grabbed his guitar and tried to play it. Once Micro Beat heard her try to play it. He came up to her and moved her hoofs at the right spots on how to hold the guitar. Diamond blushed being so close to Micro Beat. After awhile she taught her a silly song. While she played Micro Beat sang:
"I'm covered in sweat
Just give me a sec
Let me catch my breath
I just threw my back out
I really should've stretched out
I just buuuuuuuuuucked my back up."
Twilight saw Diamond smiling. She knew that wasn't any ordinary smile. Diamond kept on playing while Micro Beat was singing.
Micro Beat's life was becoming normal. He had supplies and no longer needed to steal. Diamond still lived with him going to school every day. Micro Beat would go out a couple of days to walk around Ponyville looking around. He saw a place and smelled sweets inside. He went inside and a pony jumped right in front of his face.
"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie, who are you? Are you new to Ponyville? *Gasp* If you are, we have to throw you a welcome to Ponyville party!" Pinkie said bouncing around excited.
"My name is Micro Beat. I'm a little new here, but no thanks." Micro Beat said.
"Awww OK! Oh, by the way, welcome to Sugar Cube Corner, can I help you?" Pinkie Pie asked.
Micro Beat did have some bits. Diamond would be back home in one hour so he purchased two cupcakes.
"Wow, two cupcakes, are you going to share with some pony? Do you have a special some pony?" Pinkie asked.
Micro Beat's eyes widened.
"Uh. No... I'm going to share with a friend of mine that's all." Micro Beat said with his face all red.
Micro Beat saw a poster outside when he left. It was a poster for the carnival coming to town. In a couple of days, there was to be a roller coaster just invented this year with a 14 story drop. It also said "performers wanted", Micro Beat would love to perform. He also thought about going with someone, but with who? He thought of Diamond Tiara. Ever since she moved in with him, he felt happy every day. He saw the time and needed to head home if he wanted to give Diamond her cupcake.
Diamond also had a good life. Her parents were missing, but she was fine living with Micro Beat. Once Diamond made it home, Micro Beat was there waiting.
"Hey, Diamond, I bought you something." Micro Beat said.
Diamond saw a cupcake in Micro Beat's hoof. She smiled, She hugged him making Micro Beat very stiff. Diamond took the cupcake and it was her favorite flavor. Micro Beat ate his as well.
Later that night Diamond had a dream of her and Micro Beat on the swings. There were having a great time. Micro Beat played his guitar while she listened. Diamond woke up. She wondered why she had that dream. She liked Micro Beat as a friend but did she really like him more than that. She saw Micro Beat still asleep. After that dream Diamond couldn't sleep so she went for a walk in the middle of the night. She kept on walking until she heard some pony.
"Diamond, what are you doing walking in the middle of the night?" Rarity asked.
"Oh, well, I couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk. What are doing out so late?" Diamond asked.
"Well, I went to Canterlot today and my train came late so I'm heading home. Are you sure you're alright? You look like something's bothering you." Rarity said.
"Can I talk to you?" Diamond asked.
"Of course, let's go to my Boutique and talk." Rarity said.
Once they were in the Boutique, Rarity made some tea. Diamond took some and thought how could she tell her about her problem.
"Rarity, I had a dream about some colt I know. I liked the dream because it was nice, and now every time I think about that colt I feel out of breath, wobbly to the knees, and I feel real hot. What's wrong with me?" Diamond asked.
"I think I know, that colt has won your heart. Diamond....You're in love." Rarity said smiling.
"I...I....No! I'm not, I...I got to go!." Diamond shouted leaving.
"Don't deny it." Rarity said.
"I'm not denying! Now I got to go. I can not kiss school tomorrow. I mean miss!" Diamond shouted slamming the door
"Oh boy, she is denying it." Rarity said to herself sipping her tea.
Little that she knew Sweetie Belle heard the conversation upstairs upstairs. She woke up when she heard them come in. She smirked. After the talk, Diamond went back home. Micro Beat was still fast asleep. It took awhile to fall asleep. However, she had one question on her mind. Does he feel the same way? The next morning, Diamond heard Micro Beat singing.Diamond love hearing his songs. Diamond thought about a question to ask Micro Beat.
"Micro Beat, when's your birthday?" Diamond asked.
Micro Beat was playing, then messed up when he heard that question.
"It's kind of hard playing while someone's talking, but to answer your question, it's tomorrow actually." Micro Beat said and went back to playing.
After that, Diamond said she was going out for awhile. When she left, Micro Beat tried to play his guitar. All of sudden, he played another one of his favorite songs.
Diamond walked around Ponyville. She started to wander and went to Fluttershy's cottage by accident. Fluttershy saw her coming and greeted her.
"Oh...Hello, Diamond. I..Um..Well..I'm sorry for the night I closed the door on you. I didn't even know it was you. I was scared, so I slammed the door and hid under my bed the whole night, I'm sorry." Fluttershy said.
"It's alright, I found somewhere to stay anyways." Diamond said.
"Oh really, with who?" Fluttershy asked.
"A colt named Micro Beat. He's a great friend. Come to think of it, his birthday is tomorrow." Diamond said and then got an idea.
"Do you have a job or know a job to get some bits? I want to buy Micro Beat a present for his birthday." Diamond asked.
"I have a job that you can do. I will pay you forty bits if you like." Fluttershy said.
"That's a great pay. What do I have to do?" Diamond asked smiling.
"You have to bathe my animals." Fluttershy said.
Diamond's smile faded. However, she wanted to get Micro Beat a present so she gulped and nodded her head. She knew this was going to be a long day.
Micro Beat was walking around wondering why he played that song and put Diamond in the lyrics. He looked at the new music store, which wasn't really that popular with many ponies. He saw an electric guitar. It only cost forty bits. the Manager must have lowered the price for ponies to come. He wishes he could buy it, but he held on to his bits for things that were important. Sure, Twilight and Applejack gave him supplies, but he still held responsibility for himself and Diamond. He couldn't waste the bits on a guitar he used it in the case of emergencies.
Diamond was giving Angel Bunny a bath. He was fighting, kicking, and squirming to get away but Diamond held on tight. Every animal was the same. After Diamond was done, Fluttershy paid her and Diamond decided to take a shower herself. She was covered in dirt, mud, and a twig was stuck in her mane. She walked back home exhausted. Micro Beat saw her, then he gave her food, she said she was turning in early tonight. However, she asked one question before she slept.
"Hey, Micro Beat, if you wanted one thing that cost forty bits what would you want?" Diamond asked.
"I guess the electric guitar they had at the music store that was for sale. With a free amplifier included" Micro Beat said.
Diamond knew where she was going tomorrow. Diamond woke up early and made sure Micro Beat didn't wake up. Luckily the Music Store was opening twenty-four hours. She went in causing the bell on the door ring causing the worker to know some pony came in.
"Can I help you?" The worker asked with excitement that a customer came in.
"Yes, I'd like the electric guitar for forty bits, that has a free amplifier." Diamond said.
The worker went in the back got it for her and gave her a free case as well, since he was feeling happy. It was hard for her to carry but she made do with it. She went to go see Pinkie Pie who was awake, but groggy, however, when Diamond told her to plan a birthday party she became full of life. Diamond made it back home before Micro Beat woke up. She went inside and woke him up.
"Wake up it's your birthday!" Diamond shouted.
Micro Beat got up and stared surprised, but happy. He was going to brush his teeth, until he saw something near Diamond's hoofs.
"Its your present open it up." Diamond said
Micro Beat opened the case and stared at it wide eyed. He smiled, je couldn't believe Diamond got, the guitar he wanted. He went to her and hugged her. She hugged him back. Micro Beat kissed her on the cheek. Diamond went wide eyed and touched his cheek. Micro Beat went wide eyed as well. He wasn't thinking about what he did that.
"Diamond....i'm....I....just....i'm....I....didn't....mean to-" Micro Beat was cut off by Diamond kissing him on the cheek."Your welcome. Now come on, in a few hours we have to go to your birthday party, I think Pinkie is hosting. Micro beat was smiling.
Only the morning and this day was already great. They went to Sugar Cube Corner for the party. They had cake and lots of presents. However nothing was better than the present Diamond gave to Micro Beat. The party ended and everyone went on there merry separate ways. However, the Crusaders came together to see how they can get there Cutie Marks. Sweetie Belle spoke up.
"Girls, I think Diamond likes Micro Beat." Sweetie Belle said.
"Well duh, they're friends" Scootaloo said.
"No, I mean loves him. I think we should bring them together." Sweetie Belle said.
"Are you crazy? remember the last time we tried to bring ponies together. My brother acted all goofy." Apple Bloom said.
"You guys have to trust me, I got a plan, and this time we won't use a potion. Please, I think it will work." Sweetie Belle said.
Apple Bloom and Scootaloo where worried but they nodded and agreed to help.
"Great, first thing we need are tickets to the carnival that's coming to Ponyville." Sweetie Belle said.
Later that day, Micro Beat had a dream about him and Diamond. He woke up, he couldn't sleep after that. He grabbed his new guitar and went to the music store that was new but has been there many times before, which was open twenty four hours. He went into one of the practice room and tried to play some songs. However, he did not know the manger could hear in the break rooms with a machine he had under the desk. He put some headphones on and listened.
Micro Beat tried and tried but he kept missing cords. He messed up the lyrics and couldn't play.
The more the Manger listened, the more he felt sad, He knew this colt could play for he has done it many times before. Then, Micro Beat began to start playing better than he started to sing.
He played the guitar amazingly. the Manager smiled this colt he always listened when this colt came. He went to go cheek on the kid. He saw he had the guitar the filly bought this morning.
"Hey, kid, that was a nice song you were playing." the Manager said.
"Uh..Thanks, but how do you know what I was playing? I thought these rooms were sound proof." Micro Beat claimed.
"They are, but I have a machine that lets me hear inside. However, I heard you had trouble playing, is something the matter? By the way, my name is Recorder. What's yours?" Recorder asked.
"Well, Recorder, my name is Micro Beat and I was having trouble because I had this dream about this filly I knew. We were dancing. We were having a great time. The dream felt so real and I was happy. I feel happy when I'm around her. when I think about her, and I feel something inside me. Now I can't sleep. What's wrong with me?" Micro Beat explained.
"Well, the answer is pretty much simple. The filly you're thinking about has swept you off your hooves. Micro Beat, you're in love." Recorder said with a smirk.
Micro Beat just stood there with a shocked expression, but the more he thought about it, he started to think Recorder was right.
"If this is true, how do I get this feeling of my chest?" Micro Beat asked.
"Simple, just tell the filly how you fell." Recorder said.
"Are you crazy? just flat out say it. I'm scared, and what do I just say out of the blue?" Micro Beat asked.
"Don't just say it. Say it at a special time. You'll know the right time. One more thing, don't be sacred, because if you let that one chance to tell her how you feel slide, you'll hate yourself even more then being scared." Recorder said.
Micro Beat knew he was right. He thanked him for the advice and tried to leave until Recorder stopped him.
"Hang on, you play really well, ever thought of performing in the carnival that's coming to Ponyville in two days?" Recorder asked.
"I wish I could, but I don't have money to go get tickets." Micro Beat said.
"Performers get in for free, however if you want to take the filly you're thinking about with you, I think that one ticket about fifty bits." Recorder said.
"Well, that knocks down that idea." Micro Beat said.
"Who knows, kid maybe a miracle will happen." Recorder said.
Micro Beat went back home and finally fell back asleep. Little that he knew that the Crusaders were planning something.
The next morning, the Crusaders were doing jobs left and right trying to get bits. However, they only got paid two bits sine they failed most of the time. So far they collected ten bits. They needed a lot more. the Crusaders where walking by the music store and they thought they heard Micro Beat singing. However, when they went inside they heard Recorder playing a recording of Micro Beat playing.
"Excuse me sir, but is that by any chance a recording of a colt named Micro Beat?" Sweetie Belle asked
"Yup, he plays well. When people are in the practice room. This machine records them. Ponies usually come to me to see how they play or to get a recording of themselves and sell them for a profit." Recorder said.
The Crusaders had an idea.
"Excuse me sir, but do you mind if you play that song outside your store? Maybe you'll get more ponies to come to your store and get more profit. If you do, can we get some of the profit?" Apple Bloom asked.
Recorder thought about it. This music store was new and not many ponies knew about it. If he advertised the store it could become more popular.
"You know what, I think that's a good idea. Help me get some stuff in the back." Recorder said.
the Crusaders got the equipment and Recorder set it up outside. Recorder put a microphone and ponies started to crowd around.
"Mares and stallions. Fillies and colts. I am Recorder, the manager of the new music store behind me. I will show you a recording made here in my store. Recorder said in the microphone.
Recorder played Micro Beats recording. Every pony was listening where surprised that a simple colt played and sung that song. After it was over, every pony cheered. Many ponies came into the store to buy guitars, records, microphones, amplifiers, and some where recording in the practice room. Even Vinyl Scratch, some ponies even applied for jobs for the night shift. Now, Recorder could finally rest at his home instead of his store. Recorder was surprised how much bits he made today. He gave the Crusaders five thousand bits.
"Great now we can buy two tickets for Micro Beat and Diamond. Not to mention we can bring our friends and sisters." Apple Bloom said.
"Oh, Micro Beat doesn't need a ticket if he performs in the carnival he can get in for free. We had a talk last night. He would go if one of his friends, which was a filly, could come with him." Recorder said.
the Crusaders were shocked to hear that. They went to go buy tickets. They bought tickets for them, their friends, sister, and, of course, Diamond. They kept the rest for safe keeping. They went to Micro Beat's house and saw him and Diamond eating.
"Diamond, we got something for you." Sweetie Belle said handing Diamond a ticket to the carnival.
"We got it, so you can go to the carnival. Micro beat you can go for free if you perform." Scootaloo said.
The two just stood there shocked. All of a sudden they smiled and gave the Crusaders a hug. Micro Beat was getting ready for tomorrows performance. He signed up and told the leader of the carnival if he can have a band top play with him. The leader smiled and said he had one band left to play with him. When Micro Beat told Diamond about the roller coaster, she faked a smile that she would love to go on it. That night Micro Beat couldn't wait, however, Diamond was a bit scared. One problem she had was that she has never gone on a roller coaster.
The next day came. The sun was up and every pony was getting ready for tonight. Ponies where setting up the carnival. Pinkie was very excited. Every pony was coming. Before Diamond knew it night came. When Micro Beat and Diamond arrived to the gate, Diamond saw the roller coaster, she gulped. Once they got in Micro Beat took her straight to the coaster. When they where on the line Diamond started to breath real loud. Micro Beat noticed and was worried. Once they where in the front Diamond was scared but Micro Beat was excited.
"Alright, I can't wait until the fourteen story drop!" Micro beat shouted.
Once they got on the roller coaster every pony cheered while Diamond gulped.
"Alright every pony, enjoy the ride and I hope you survive." The pony controlling the coaster said.
The coaster was getting higher and higher to the top. Diamond started to get scared.
"Whats wrong Diamond." Micro Beat said.
"Nothing...Well...Actually... OK, I'm afraid alright, oh no here it comes! It's coming! We're getting to the top! Help me Micro Beat!" Diamond shouted.
"It's OK Diamond, i'm here with you. I'll protect you." Micro Beat said.
When the coaster went down, Every pony cheered. Diamond was shouting, but Micro Beat was also shouting so she didn't feel lonely. There where twist and turns. Diamond had her eyes closed, but then she opened them. She started to smile.
"Woah! Wow! Woo Hoo! Faster!" Diamond shouted.
Micro Beat smiled, she started to enjoy the ride. After that was finished, Micro Beat went to go get ready for his performance. Diamond got a front row seat and every pony sat and waited for the performances. Recorder, the Mane Six, and the Crusaders where also in front. The performances where great. Then the last performance came.
"Mares and Colts. One more performance tonight. I give you a Colt that is amazing on a guitar, and is an outstanding singer. Give it up for Micro Beat!!!!!" The leader of the carnival shouted.
Every pony cheered, especially Diamond. The curtains opened. Micro Beat was surprised how many ponies are here. He was scared, but he breathed and began to play and sing.
Every pony started dancing to the beat. The band that Micro Beat had was also playing good. Micro Beat saw Diamond dancing and was happy. Every pony cheered at the end. Micro Beat smiled. All of a sudden a light flashed and Every pony was blinded by it. Micro Beat was consumed by it. Once the light subsided, every pony looked at Micro Beat and Cheered even louder. Micro Beat looked confused. When he saw Diamond pointing at his flank. He looked and saw he got his Cutie Mark. It was a guitar with music notes around it. Micro Beat left the stage and went to go see Diamond. He gave Diamond a big hug.
"Congratulations, you got your Cutie Mark." Diamond said.
"Yeah, I can't believe it." Micro Beat said.
He saw Recorder behind her showing him a face that this was the time to tell her how he felt. He was about to, but was interrupted by Diamond.
"Excuse me, I have to go to the little fillies room." Diamond said and took off.
Micro Beat felt bad but Recorder patted his back and told him to wait for her to come back. Micro Beat waited outside the bathrooms. Diamond came out and was about to go, until three stallions that looked familiar came up to her.
"Well,l look who we have here." one of the stallions said.
The stallions grabbed her, covered her mouth, and took her away. Micro Beat needed to help her, but he needed some help to stop those stallions.
"Help!" Micro Beat shouted.
All of a sudden, Rainbow Dash came to see what was going on.
"Whats wrong?" Rainbow asked.
"It's Diamond, she's in trouble." Micro Beat said.
Micro Beat followed Rainbow to the rest of her friends. They made up a plan as quick as they could. Then, they searched to find where those stallions took Diamond. Once they found her, they started the first phase of there plan. Diamond was tied up in a chair with tape covering her mouth.
"Aw, shes crying. I think shes still worth a hundred bits. However, before we sell her we can do whatever we want with her." The leader of the stallions said.
Little that they knew, Micro Beat was recording what they where saying with a tape recorder. He had a camera and caught the stallions attention.
"Ahem!" Micro Beat said.
"Who's he?" One of the stallions said
*Flash*
Micro Beat took a picture of the guys to show evidence that they tied up a poor filly. Diamond was happy to see Micro Beat come to the rescue.
"He took our picture!" One of the stallions exclamied.
The stallions started to chase him and Micro Beat ran with the stallions following him. Diamond got untied by Twilight and they went to the library to set up a phase of Micro Beat's plan.
The second phase was on. Micro Beat lead the stallions to Sweet Apple Acres and once they where under a tree. Apple Bloom and Applejack that were on top, dropped a pile of bricks on one of the stallions. He tried to get up but then Apple Bloom dropped another brick on his stallion hood making him scream in pain. Then, Applejack dropped another brick on his head. After that, the stallion blacked out, Apple Bloom and Applejack tied him up.
The third part of the plan was coming. Two stallions where chasing Micro Beat, he went underneath a cloud and made a bird noise signaling Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash caught on of the stallions and shocked home with a lightning bolt. He kept shocking him until his skeleton appear. Once Rainbow was done, the guys mane was smoking and he fell shaking and blacked out. Rainbow Dash went down and tied the stallion up.
The fourth part of the plan was coming. Micro Beat went inside Twilight's library where Diamond, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Recorder, and Twilight where setting up a big trap. The stallion open the door and was greeted by Pinkie Pie's party cannon. Pinkie Pie came from behind it and lit it up.
"Oh hello, and goodbye." Pinkie said.
*BOOM!!!*
The stallion was thrown all the way to a tree knocking him out. All the ponies came with the three stallions tied up. Once they finally woke up, Fluttershy told her birds to release their dinner. The stallions screamed when a bunch a bird poop landed on them. After that the ponies called the cops and the three stallion were arrested and Micro Beat gave them evidence to show what they did, and what they where planning.
Diamond came and hugged Micro Beat. Micro Beat saw Recorder giving him that face again. Micro Beat stared in Diamond eyes and breathed.
"Diamond there's something I want to tell you. Since you came into my life I felt way happier than before. You are amazing, nice, cute, and I... I... I... Love you." Micro Beat said.
Diamond stood there shock. She knew she felt the same way. She wished she could say the same thing, but she was at a lost for words. Instead, she grabbed Micro Beat from behind and kissed him on the lips. The two stood there sharing a passionate kiss. All the ponies where staring and looked the other way to give the new couple some privacy.
Two years passed and Micro Beat's life had changed. Diamond was happy with her new life as well. Things were going great. Recorder's music store was now popular and Micro Beat performed every Friday and many ponies came to see him perform. Diamond finally had friends that she could rely on and a Special Some Pony she loved so much. She never knew her life could change in one simple day. She thought that being homeless was awful, but it was the best thing that ever happened to her. She now knew that money can't buy you everything. She had something more important than money, and that was love from friends, and a Colt.
