"Twilight?"

Spike strode through the halls of Ponyville Castle, peering through open doors and knocking on closed ones, searching for the mare whose name he was presently yelling.

"Twilight?"

With every door, Spike's frustration grew. Twilight had shut herself deep in the castle's recesses, conducting one of her crazy 'investigations'. He huffed as he threw open another oversized door, cursing the castle under his breath.

"Why'd Harmony have to go and make this place with two billion rooms anyway?" he grumbled, raising his voice again. "Twilight?"

At last, after many, many more doors, he came to the end of the hallway. A straight half-hour of searching had led him to this door; on an uncommon day off, he'd been just about to dive into another Enchanted Comic when Fluttershy had stopped by, asking for Twilight. Now, a half-hour later, Fluttershy was probably gone, sick of waiting, and Spike's rage had hit its peak five doors ago, boiling into that strange, serene anger that comes only to those who burned with true fury.

With a snarl, Spike stepped briskly to the door and all but kicked it down, revealing a cluttered mess of a room. Books lay scattered about, some upside-down, some dog-eared and marked, haphazardly stacked in seemingly random formations, clusters of literature that all orbited around one central point; a large, mahogany desk littered with photographs, papers, books, and inkwells. Following the pattern set by the rest of the room, the mess on the desk radiated from one place; the place where Twilight Sparkle lay, head resting on a thick book, a line of drool connecting her open mouth to a growing puddle on the desk. As Spike stood, left eye twitching, Twilight groaned, shifted in her chair, and began to snore softly.

Slowly, Spike made his way through the minefield, placing his steps carefully so as not to upset the balance of any of the stacks.
He did, however, take a book from each one he passed, leaving every paperback and hardcover tower in the room leaning precariously, one sudden move away from toppling.

At last, he reached the desk, set his collection of tomes in front of him, climbed atop it, and placed his mouth right next to the sleeping princess's ear.

"TWILIGHT SPARKLE!"

With a crash, the books came tumbling down, the loud 'boom' of that much knowledge hitting the ground only adding to Spike's shout. A cry of terror shrieking from her throat, Twilight leapt, her wings taking her up, up, away from the danger-

After colliding with the ceiling, Twilight floated gently down, giving Spike a flat look.

"Really, Spike?" she asked, coming to a soft landing in front of her assistant.

At 6'2", Twilight was the tallest of the Castle's regular occupants. Her mane, messy though it was at present, was silky-smooth and well cared-for. It flowed down in ragged waves past the purple cardigan she wore that cupped her D-sized breasts, rode her stomach down and ended at the tight jeans that girded her waist.
Even though Twilight possessed a bust envied by many mares, most of her mass lay below her belt. Her hips were wide, thick and voluptuous, swaying and sashaying with every step, culminating in a bubble butt that sent every stallion she passed - and even a few mares - reeling. The young princess, of course, was completely oblivious to the reactions of the town, and the town was perfectly content to keep it that way; if Twilight ever found out, Ponyville would likely lose one of its many treasures.

Spike himself was no eyesore either; just hitting his adolescence, the young dragon stood at 5'2", with small yet tightly-packed muscles gained from a lifetime of lifting stacks of heavy books, running around sorting books, and various other administrative tasks. He wore a pair of denim shorts, ripped at the ends in popular fashion, a tight-fitting shirt, and a glare that could - and had, in some cases - melt steel.

In an instant, Twilight adopted a sheepish expression, gazing down at her shoes as she rubbed the back of her neck.

"It's two in the afternoon, isn't it?" she asked quietly.

"Three." Spike replied evenly.

"I slept in my research?"

"Yes."

"Someone's at the door for me?"

"Fluttershy."

"How long this time?"

"Thirty minutes and... Twenty-seven seconds."

With a sigh, Twilight's horn ignited in a flash of magenta brilliance. The light flowed over her, smoothing her mane out, evaporating ink-stains, and leaving the mare fresh and clean.

"I'll clean this up." she said, giving Spike an apologetic look.

"I expected you to." Spike replied, still fixing Twilight with a glare.

"And you can have tomorrow off too."

Slowly, Spike raised an eyebrow.

"And I'll pick up some opal brownies later."

Spike remained silent, staring at Twilight.

"Throw me a bone here, little guy." Twilight said. "What else?"

"Finish that 'Twilight Locator' charm you told me about yesterday." Spike said at last. "I don't ever want to have to do this again."

"Deal." Twilight said, shaking Spike's hand. "Sorry, Spike."

"I forgive you." Spike said, turning and striding down the hall. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go take my anger out on comic book bad guys."

"You do that!" Twilight called after him, before sighing and, with another flash of her horn, appearing at her front door.
To her surprise, Fluttershy stood there, smiling widely at Twilight as she appeared.

"You waited?" Twilight asked, cocking her head.

"Of course." Fluttershy said, giving her friend a hug. "I wanted to talk to you."

"For thirty minutes?"

"Twilight, it's no big deal." Fluttershy giggled, rolling her eyes. "Friends wait for each other."

Twilight raised an eyebrow, and Fluttershy's smile faded slightly.

"You're not mad at me, are you?" Fluttershy asked, her voice less exuberant.

"No, no." Twilight replied, sighing. "I'm not mad, I was never mad. It's just..."

Fluttershy placed a hand on Twilight's shoulder.

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about." she said. "I know it's strange; just last week I was my old shy, timid self, and now I've changed so suddenly. I wanted to have a bit of one-on-one time with you; let you get to know the new Fluttershy."

"That's very sweet of you." Twilight said, giving her friend a smile.

"Let's walk." Fluttershy said abruptly, turning and walking briskly down a hall. Twilight had to break into a jog to catch up.
As she strode behind her friend, Twilight found her eyes unconsciously wandering, taking in Fluttershy's body.

She'd always been beautiful, of course, but now Fluttershy practically exuded sex appeal. Her hips, while not nearly as large as Twilight's own, were nothing to sneeze at, and her ass jiggled and swayed enticingly as Twilight stared.
Even as entranced as she was, Twilight noted that it seemed to have grown since last she'd seen it; perhaps Fluttershy had been eating more.
That was the smallest change; the growth in her hips, her rear, and in her tremendous bust. They'd practically ballooned, swelling Fluttershy up to unheard-of proportions.
But even more pronounced was the change in her clothing.
A week ago, Fluttershy had gone out dressed in a loose-fitting sweater, so oversized it fit her like a dress, hiding her curves as well as her hands in thick, yellow wool.
Now, however, Fluttershy wore a tight-fitting shirt, so low cut her EE breasts practically spilled out of it. Below a bare midriff was an even tighter pair of leggings that hugged her thighs like a second skin, leaving nothing to the imagination.
Even more pronounced that that, though, was the way Fluttershy carried herself.
Twilight could see it in the way she walked, swaying her hips seductively as she led Twilight through the castle. Glancing back, Fluttershy caught a glimpse of Twilight staring at her; Old Fluttershy would have blushed, turning beet red before turning away and trying to pretend nothing had happened. New Fluttershy, however, let out a sultry giggle and swayed her hips more. Her hands cupped her breasts from below, pushing them out even further, and Twilight could tell by the protrusions in the front of the top that Fluttershy wasn't wearing a bra.

"I think this is far enough." Fluttershy said, nodding approvingly at the empty room the two stood in.

Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Twilight gave Fluttershy a look. "Far enough for what?"

"For me to show you." Fluttershy said, her smile fading.

"Show me? Show me what? Fluttershy, you're not making any sense."

"You were wondering about the new me, weren't you?" Fluttershy said quietly. "I head you talking to the others behind my back. You didn't think it was natural that I'd gone from wallflower to wild card so quickly; you thought something had happened to me, changed me."

Twilight winced, nodding. She'd suspected Discord at first, but after his fifth emphatic promise that he'd done nothing, she'd decided to believe him. Eventually, she'd formed a theory, a tentative one...

"You think it's got something to do with that meteor that landed near my house a week back." Fluttershy said. Wincing again, Twilight nodded.

"Well," Fluttershy said, sighing softly. "You're right."

That caught Twilight by surprise. Eyes widening, she gazed at Fluttershy as the other girl stared back, a shade of her old timid self returning in the face of Twilight's look of triumph.

"I knew this wasn't natural." she said. "Now that I know that, I can start working on a way to-"

"No!" Fluttershy cried, cutting off Twilight before she could finish. "I don't want you to find a way to 'cure' me, or to 'fix' what happened."

"Why not?" Twilight asked, incredulous.

"I don't want to go back to the old me." Fluttershy said softly. "I like New Fluttershy. I'm not scared any more. I can go outside without worrying about anything. I can talk to other ponies; I can talk to stallions! I can do so much more than I could before..."

Tears came to Fluttershy's eyes, then, and instantly guilt filled Twilight. How could she have made this vision of perfection cry? How dare she? She was a bad friend, a very very bad friend, for making Fluttershy cry.

"I won't!" Twilight cried. "I won't. I can get used to New Fluttershy."

"You will?" Fluttershy sniffled, wiping her nose with her sleeve.

"I will." Twilight replied, hugging her friend close, noticing as she did the way their breasts squished against each other. She held the embrace; neither of them seemed to mind.

"Twilight, you're such a good friend." Fluttershy said, and instantly Twilight felt joy flood her. She'd been a good friend. This was good.

"Twilight?" Fluttershy said suddenly. "I like you."
More joy filled Twilight and she, still riding the high from the previous burst of ecstasy, beamed at her friend. Fluttershy liked her. This was good.

"Twilight, do you like me?" Instantly, Twilight felt a yearning, a longing, begin inside her. She needed to answer. She needed to tell Fluttershy that yes, she did like her.

"Of course I do." Twilight replied, finally breaking the embrace, her eyes glancing at first Fluttershy's erect nipples, then hers. "You know that."

"Twilight, do you trust me?"

Twilight looked into Fluttershy's eyes, then, and practically melted. Everything about the other mare seemed to radiate peace. She could trust these eyes, that soft fur, that gentle face. Slowly, she nodded.

"Twilight," Fluttershy said softly. "When that meteor landed, it carried something with it."

Twilight nodded, her gaze still trapped by Fluttershy's bright blue orbs.

"When I went to the impact site, it found me." Fluttershy said. "It spoke to me, and I to it. It... It offered me a choice, and I took it."

Twilight's world faded away slowly. All that was, all that would ever be, was Fluttershy and her wonderful, magnificent eyes. Twilight liked Fluttershy. Twilight trusted Fluttershy.

"Would you... Would you like to see it?" Fluttershy's hands were moving towardd her shirt, slowly lifting it, ready to remove it; all Twilight needed was to accept.

Slowly, inevitably, Twilight nodded.

Fluttershy closed her eyes, and the world sprung back into focus. What had Twilight been doing? The last few minutes were a blur; Twilight shook her head rapidly, as if to dislodge the fog from her mind.
Absorbed as she was, she didn't notice what Fluttershy was doing until she was fully nude, stannding before Twilight, arms hanging loosely at her sides.

Twilight gaped.
Metal traced lines across Fluttershy's fur; patterns and symbols that pulsed gently, liquid steel tracing veins and arteries, swirling around the lower half of her breasts. A shell of metal enveloped her crotch, and Twilight could see a few drops of something tricke out from where the seal was open, most likely for that exact reason. Fluttershy, even as Twilight stared her down, began panting, her eyes going glassy.

Slowly, Fluttershy took a step forward.
Twilight took a step back. She needed to leave, to get help; this was not natural, this needed to be fixed. This-

Frowning, Fluttershy's eyes focused on Twilight.

"You wanted to see." Fluttershy said firmly. "Now see."

It was true, Twilight thought, her mind now made up. She would not run. She would not get help. She had made her bed; now she needed to lie in it.

Twilight took a step closer, and soon Fluttershy and Twilight stood face to face, eye to eye - when had she grown to Twilight's height? - and Twilight stared at Fluttershy's body.

As she looked, a single line seemed to detach from Fluttershy, bending, bridging the inches-long gap between them...
...And touching Twilight's stomach.

Instantly, it felt as if she were being massaged, every pleasure center linked to that area of her body going into overdrive. She moaned, rubbing the metal in; she needed to spread it, she wanted it to make more of her feel good.

"Let me help."

And suddenly Fluttershy's lips were on her own, her tongue swirling around in Twilight's mouth, their erect nipples colliding as they kissed, embracing, Fluttershy's hands trailing the cool, smooth metal as they roamed across Twilight's body, lingering on her ass and breasts, squeezing them...

...And then they broke apart, and Twilight caught her breath.
Then the metal began to pulse, and the world broke.
Everything Twilight was screamed in ecstacy as the metal spread, covering her body in cool, clean steel. Inside her liquid shell she moaned, writhing in pleasure as the metal activated every pleasure center she had. She was in a frenzy of lust and sensation but she couldn't cum, couldn't orgasm, simply stay at the peak, climbing higher and higher she needed release, she needed it now, why couldn't she cum please let her cum-

And then It spoke.

It had no name.
It simply was.
It told her of lightyears, eternities spent hurtling through space, trapped inside the meteor.
It told her of Equestria's sun, its gravity hooking it into a slingshot motion that sent It hurtling into the atmosphere, landing in Fluttershy's backyard.
It told her of what it had done to her friend; expanding her body, giving her the confidence, the attractiveness she'd always wished for. It told her of the other things it had given her; a Stare that could command, a voice that could change the way ponies felt, the way they thought...
And It told her of what Fluttershy had given It; her self, her free will. She belonged to It now.
And It told her of the things It could give her.
Knowledge.
Power.
A body greater than the one she had; strength and speed and beauty beyond comparison.
And this, the pleasure, the ecstasy, constantly, forever swimming in a pool of orgasmic bliss.
And all she had to give It was herself.
Her will.
Drowning in pleasure, Twilight thought for less than a second.
She gave It more than herself. She threw her will at It, screamed for It to consume her...
..And she gave It a name.

"I'll do it, Nexus!" she screamed. "Take me! I'll give you everything, just take me!"

Nexus was taken aback. It had expected her to surrender, of course, but not this.
Not a name.
It had never had a name; it had always been an 'It', a solitary 'I' in the universe's 'we'.
This pony, this 'Twilight Sparkle', had done more than expected. She had taken it in, included it in the 'we'; it was still an 'I', a solitary being, but she had let it in. It was an 'I' among other 'I's, a being among other beings.
She had been its friend.
She had given it a name.

And so Nexus decided, then and there, that he would share this friendship. He would spread it to Equestria, show every being there the wonders that he could give them.
And he would not take anything. Not any more.
Never again.
Starting with the two he had.

In a flash, Fluttershy stood, blinking, in the room of the Castle. Her clothes were back, still tight, still revealing, just the way she liked them.
But she could think again. It no longer commanded her body.
She peeled back the waist of her leggings; the metal was still there.

"...Hello?" she called, confused. "Mysterious metal thing that took me over? Is something wrong?"

"Not a 'thing'." Twilight's voice called. "Not anymore."

Fluttershy glanced at her friend and did a double-take.

Twilight stood, her breasts as big and round and bouncy as her own, cocooned by a blouse, buttons undone to reveal much more than an ordinary blouse should. The mare wore a professional-looking suitjacket and tight-fitting slacks that not only hugged but accentuated her massive behind. A pair of glasses adorned the mare's eyes, which glinted with newfound confidence and with lust and with a strange serenity.

"Like what you see?" Twilight said, smiling. Fluttershy, quickly regaining her senses, nodded, eyes roaming across her friend's new body.

"I do, Twilight." Fluttershy replied, taking a step, bridging the gap, running a hand across her friend's chest. "Did It change you, like it did me?"

"Not 'It'." Twilight replied, catching Fluttershy's hand softly. "He has a name now. He wants to spread, to tell all of Equestria what he is, to share his gift. But not right now."

Suddenly they were both nude, and Fluttershy's hand was hovering above Twilight's smooth, lavender fur, metal lines tracing bth of them in the same patterns.

"Right now," Twilight said, gazing deep into her friend's eyes. "Nexus has given me his first, last, and only command."

Twilight's hand began to descend, carrying Fluttershy's with it. It traced past her breasts, down her stomach...

"What is it?"

Their hands reached Twilight's marehood, and Twilight smiled again.

"This."

And then they kissed, and Fluttershy's hand dove into Twilight's marehood even as Twilight's other hand dove into hers. They moaned into each other's mouths and fell, and there was a bed to support them. They landed, and they rolled, and suddenly Twilight's marehood was in front of Fluttershy's face.
She knew her part; Fluttershy eagerly buried her muzzle in the winking slit and licked and licked and licked, and Twilight moaned into hers as she licked and licked and licked, and they both panted and moaned and kept licking, drowning in lust and love and everything in between as the metal ignited their bodies, fused them into a two-person 'I', a 'we' so close and so intimate...

With a scream, they both came, and the metal kept them there, right at the instant of orgasm, and they screamed and convulsed and kissed and embraced on the bed, writhing in ecstasy until, at last, the pleasure faded, the screaming petered out into moans, and the two of them lay in the wet, post-coital silence.

"Wow." Fluttershy said, and Twilight giggled.

"'Wow' indeed." she said. "You were amazing, Fluttershy."

The two lay there for a while more, no words exchanged, none needed.
Finally, Twilight stood.

"Well, as fun as having intercourse with my best friend and learning about a previously unknown sentient life-form is," she said, sighing. "I have two rooms to clean now."

Fluttershy matched her giggle with one of her own and stood as well, clean and clothed as if nothing had happened.

"And I have my animals." she said. "Oh, I wonder how Angel Bunny will react when he sees me like this..."

With a nod, the two parted, and Twilight, sighing, turned to the bed.
The bed was gone.
Cocking her head to the side, Twilight glanced around, confused. She could have sworn she and Fluttershy had been on a bed...

[Consider it a parting gift.]

"Nexus?" Twilight's voice echoed as she turned her gaze inward, found the bright spark of life that was her newest friend.

[In the steel.] Nexus replied, and Twilight felt him smile. [I will leave soon, to speak with the other three Princesses. I will tell them of you, and of me, and, if they are willing, share my gift with them.]

"Thank you." Twilight said, smiling. "Thank you for-"

[I know.] Nexus said softly. [Enjoy your gifts, Twilight Sparkle, my friend. I will return soon, and we will have much to talk about.]

"That we will." Twilight said, as a small tendril detached from her, solidified into an orb, and sailed through an open window. "That we will."
