Xiaomane Showdown

by DreamWings

First published

A new dragon warrior joins the temple for to be the new element.

Twilight Sparkle always knew she was brilliant at magic but she didn't realise she was good enough to become a Xiaolin dragon... and a good one at that. Her new friends seem to be confused by her pony demeanour but nevertheless have to put up with their pony friend no matter what, especially with a new few villains to contend with and some strange Shen gong wu to find in the newest of places...

I do not in anyway own Xiaolin Showdown or My Little Pony. I just love them both so much that I decided to see what would happen if they met. Props to Tara Strong who voiced in both. Picture 'Angry Twilight' by Ivan Chan and uniform added by me. Anyways hope you enjoy.

Chapter 1-Enter the Pony

The Xiaolin dragons were a tough bunch of people, all of which had dedicated their lives to defeating evil and collecting all Shen gong wu that has been activated. They each represented one of the elements: Omi- dragon of Water, Kimiko- dragon of Fire, Clay- dragon of Earth, and their leader Raimundo- dragon of wind. Together they had brought down numerous villains who had wanted to put the world into darkness, even mighty villains like Chase Young, Wu-ya, and Hannibal Bean knew of the strength the Xiaolin monks all held and knew that defeating them was not an easy feat to do. Jack Spicer, evil boy genius, didn't treat the Xiaolin Warriors as anything special but he knew that if he didn't have his robots or accomplices that they would not take pity on him when fighting.

A new element had been brought to light; a new element that was to be represented by a new Xiaolin dragon; and the dragons eagerly awaited to see their new team member. Omi did not seem as excited as the rest, it had taken him a long time to accept that he was definitely not going to be made the leader of the team and he didn't like to think that this new dragon would be better than him at fighting. The others did not notice these worries however because, like usual, Omi pretended that he was going to teach this new warrior because he was the best Xiaolin dragon. Raimundo shook his head, Omi didn't seem to have learned his lesson after their last quest, his head was as big as ever (although this wasn't his fault because his head was the shape of a melon).

"Look someone's coming" Kimiko shouted spotting a shadow coming near to the temple. The shadow then separated into two and the warriors noticed that it wasn't just one person but two people. This led them to the thought that it was another attack from their enemies and not the new element at all, they prepared themselves for battle.
The shadows came closer to the temple muttering to each other as they went. The Xiaolin dragons got into their respective poses that they used to fight and Master Fung glided up behind them without them even noticing.

"Students" he said, making the monks fall "Meet our new elemental Warrior, Twilight Sparkle the element of magic".

A purple unicorn with a saddlebag came up the steps of the temple to see the other dragons laid out all over the floor. Spike, the other Shadow, stood next to her confused at these strange creatures that napped wherever they pleased, he wished Twilight would let him do that. Master Fung bowed to Twilight in his usual calm, 'this is all perfectly normal' behaviour.

"I expect you to show Twilight around, young dragons".
And with that he left them to get acquainted with one another. The dragons all stood up, looking at their new strange partner and then turning to each other and pulling faces of confusion. Omi, of course, was the first one to say something to the nervous little mare.

"Did you know you look like a pony?".

"Did you know you look like a monkey?" she asked in return, not realising there was a World where it was humans, not ponies, that ruled.

"Well it's good to have another girl around" said Kimiko trying to sound positive "You are a girl, right?".

"Is a girl like a mare or a filly?".

"Yes, I think so".

"Then yes I am a... Girl". Twilight stared round at the strange creatures trying to remember all the information she had read about this species in the Canterlot Archives. So far she was during a blank. She couldn't even figure out what these creatures special talents were because they didn't seem to have any cutie marks; unless they hid them under all the clothes they were wearing that is. There was an awkwards moment silence as all of the Xiaolin monks stared at each other, wondering what to do next.

"Eh...well... I suppose we'd better show you were you're staying" Raimundo said before leading Twilight into the temple rooms while his friends stared after them.

----------------------------------------

Soon Twilight had seen everything within the temple, and was ecspecially excited at the thought of reading all of the scrolls contained in the library. Raimundo had shown Twilight all of the Shen Gong Wu locked up in the vault and Twilight couldn't help but notice the resemblence to the Elements of Harmony; it was almost as if they were all of the same collection of magical objects. Twilight couldn't help but notice how similar her new team were to her old friends back in Ponyville; this only made her miss them more.

Clay's cowboy style and rope-twirling antics reminded her of the time Apple Jack had tried to show up Trixie when she had come to town, how honest a friend Apple Jack had always been to her; and how supportive she had been when Twilight had been trying to decide whether she was leaving or not. Raimundo loved football, was incredibly sporty and loved nothing more than to get his adrenalin rushing with some dangerous activity; that and the fact he could control the wind so he could fly made Twilight think of how much she missed Rainbow Dash, the loyalest of all her friends and the only friend who had tried to stop her coming to this place. Rainbow always made everything cooler for the group and right now Twilight wished she could have her nearby to back her up against these strange talking monkeys. Kimiko was definately Rarity with her explosive temper and high-demanding ways but she was also quite generous with her video games and time; she even let Twilight have a go at her new game that she herself had not had a chance to play yet. Not that there was any point because Twilight only had hooves and the buttons were too small for her actually to be able to play 'Goo Zombies 16'. Twilight missed Rarity; she had given her and Spike each a present when they had left; of a belt to go with her new Monk uniform
"No reason you can't look good while you're fighting those ruffians" she had said.

Omi's position in the team seemed to be a lot like Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. He made everybody laugh with his adorable antics but everyone also felt the need to help him the most because he was only young and needed to be taught more than the others. Twilght tilted her head looking at Omi for a second and realised, he was like her, he didn't understand much about having friends and needed to be taught about what it meant to have friends. He was just as out of place as she was when she had entered Ponyville.

"Huh..." Twilight sighed "I miss you Ponyville".

Trixie Spicer

Jack Spicer, evil boy genius, sat in his lair trying to fix his Jack-bots that had been destroyed during his last encounter with the Xiaolin dragons. He mumbled to himself as he did his job. It was unfair that he hardly ever got to win, and it was unfair that no other villain respected him for what he had done. One day he Jack Spicer, evil boy genius, would rule the world and then they wouldn't be laughing, they'd run sreaming to their Mommies.

"Hey you, ugly monkey" A voice behind him shouted. Jack squealed and jumped to the other side of the table, scared of another attack happening. When he saw what was stood there, he stood up laughing at what he had been afraid of. There in the doorway stood a little horse. A cute, light blue little horse. A cute, light blue little horse wearing a Wizard costume complete with the pointy hat and cape.

"Whoa, you look more dopey than me" Jack said reeling backwards with laughter "Hey wait that didn't come out right".

"You dare laugh at me" cried the pony glaring down at Jack from the top of the stairway.

"Well, yeah. You're a cutie pie little pony" Jack could not seem to stop himself from coming out in a fit of giggles evertime he looked up at the little horse.

"Correction, idiot monkey. A cutie pie little unicorn who can blow your mind" The pony lifted up her hat and shot a big bolt of energy towards Jack's Jack-bots, blowing them up in the process. Jack screamed and ran over to the disintergrated piles of spare metal that had once been his robot lackies.

"Peter" he cried, holding a robot head in his hand "Peter, don't die on me now. Come on buddy, don't... leave... me!".

"Now do you see what power I have" Jack nodded to the horse, tears flowing from his eyes.

"Who are you?" he mumbled through his pouting lips.

"I am... the Great and Powerful Trixie" the blue pony cantered down the steps and put her hoof on Jack's back "And I'm here to help you defeat the Xiaolin dragons".

"Why do you care about the Xiaolin dragons?" Jack asked, gathering himself and standing back onto his own two feet.

"I don't" Trixie told him spitefully "But there's a very special pony that I would like to finish... permenantly"

Trixie stood onto two hooves and laughed her domineering laugh while she shot lightning bolts and thunder behind her; Jack looked on in awe.

"Wow, can you teach me to do that?" he begged.

"Pftt, maybe when you're older".

The Return of Nightmare Moon

"Where are we going?" asked Twilight as her new team-mates began to climb a horrendously tall mountain in the Phillipines. Dojo had brought them all to this place because of a violent attack of the shivers that had happened previously back at the temple; it had reminded Twilight very much of 'Pinkie sense' in a way and she was in fear that her friends ailment had actually managed to spread to other lands. She didn't want to catch it herself.

"We need to climb to the top of the mountain to find the...eh... what was it called again Dojo?" Raimundo asked the pale, shuddering dragon who had tightly wrapped himself around his waist.

"It's...call...ed...the...Dash..oo...puzzle box...It's...like the..box...wu-ya was....trapp..ed..in".

"And it'd be a mighty fine guess that another varmint's trapped inside this one to" put in Clay in his always so honest way, as he climbed higher up the mountain side.

In fact all of the dragons were climbing... except Twilight. She had stayed on the ground when the other warriors had begun to climb, looking up at the steep cliff and trying to think about how they could possibly manage to do this mission without the need to actually climb up the never-ending peek. Raimundo looked down at the dragon-in-training and began to grow frustrated at her lack of trying; she had been like this in training as well.

"You know Twilight, we'd get there a lot faster if you actually tried to climb?"

"I can't" she shouted trying to get her voice through the thin air and up to where the monks where. All of the others had stopped climbing by this point to listen to the impending conversation that was starting between their leader and the little pony. Omi was actually only holding on with one hand because he was trying to see far enough down to watch the action below him.

"What do you mean you can't? Of course you can" Raimundo answered back, hoping that Twilight would get the message and start trying to do something for a change.

"I can't Raimundo. How can I climb when I don't have anything to grip on with? You have claws; I only have hooves". Twilight lifted up one hoof as if to prove to Raimundo that she was in fact telling the truth, although Raimundo really didn't really need to see the proof; it was kind of hard to forget that she was a pony.

"She's got a point partner" Clay came up to Raimundo's level on the rocky cliff-face "I'll tell you what, I'll tie my rope around her back and then we can all pull her up the mountain".

"Or we could just leave her" Omi suggested from above, beaming a big white smile as he hung from the wall. Raimundo looked at Omi and shook his head.

"Nobody gets left behind".

Clay dropped down the mountain and landed on the floor with a bounce. Twilight was confused as to what the plan was, but soon figured it out when Clay lassoed her up tightly, chucked the piece of rope over his shoulder and began dragging her up the exterior of the cliff.
Twilight didn't enjoy the ride. She kept swaying from side to side and smacking her body onto the sharp rocks beside her, which was extremely painful for the pony who sometimes didn't even leave her library for days on end. Why did everything in this land have to be so strange?... 'OW' ...and painful?

Eventually, after a lot of work and pain had been suffered through, they all arrived safetly onto the top of the peek and stared into the mouth of the great cave where the puzzle-box was supposedly hidden. An ear-piecing laugh came from the centre of it, making Dojo retreat into Raimundo's jacket, shaking in fear. The five young dragons stared into the dark hole, listening for any signs of an attack that may come from anywhere around them.

They were right to be vigilant, as hundreds of Jack-bots flooded out of the darkness and charged at the warriors in a full-on frontal assault; ready to wipe out all those who stood in their path. Chainsaws, and lasers, and axes shot out of their arms, clashing with metal fury; ready to cut down the monks that stood paralysed with fear. Raimundo dodged as a blade swiped near his arm, just missing being killed by the sharp edge that had fallen so swiftly by his side. Another bot charged at Kimiko who quickly called to her Shen Gong Wu, 'Eye of dashi', and shot the charging battalion that was aiming in her direction. Clay called for his 'Third Arm Sash' and pummeled the Jack-bot that was heading for him onto the wall of the mountain, dis-mantling all of the parts that had been so proffesionally put together. Omi headbutted twenty of the robots that had gathered themselves in a parrallel line like a set of dominoes and they all came tumbling down onto one another.

Twilight didn't know what to do; she had never seen such monsters before. They didn't have skin, or hair, or an exo-skeleton. They were just bits of tin, like a scary re-incarnation of the machine the Flim-Flam brothers had created. But these machines were definately not there to help create Cider; not unless they wanted to make Cider out of their body fluids.

Jack flew above the crowds, laughing at the destruction he was causing. This was great, all the monks were losing to him, and he had managed to get the puzzle-box from the cave before they had even managed to get there. It sometimes paid to be an evil boy genius. He smirked at Trixie who was floating beside him; she grimaced back. What had the World come to when she had to ask a stupid monkey like him for help? Ugh... she couldn't believe it.

The dragons were growing weary from all of their fighting, but they couldn't give up, not while their was still a whole army of robots coming to mow them down. Twilight was even trying to help by zapping all the oncomers with strong powerful bursts of energy that flowed from her horn. They were still losing, no matter how hard they tried, but they just couldn't give up.

Trixie turned to Jack after one last glance at the battle beneath her.
"Well then... open the box".

"Why can't you?".

"Hahem" she said lifting up her hooves and her eyebrow at the same time.

"Oh right".
Quickly Jack figured out how to crack the puzzle and opened up the prison of the monster that lay inside. Darkness swept around the sky and lightning flashed around the mountain, foreshadowing the danger that the World was now to come by.
A ghostly pony shot outwards, her eyes lit up in bright white light, and her hair a phantomn shadow behind her. She laughed on her freedom and stared around with a menacing glare. On seeing Jack and Trixie she bolted towards them, forcing Jack to let out a scream and duck behind the little blue pony.

"It is you who freed me". Trixie nodded. "Then it is you that will help me find a new host that is powerful enough to keep me strong".

"Couldn't you just go back to your old host?" asked Jack, bobbing his head out from behind Trixie's back.

"Luna is not satisfactory anymore. She has been beaten. I must have somepony stronger".

"I think I know just the pony" Trixie moved closer to the phantom "But first you'll help us get what we want".

The ghost flung herself backwards, angry at the threat that this little pony was giving her. She stared into the defiant pony's eyes and seeing that she truely meant what she said, she agreed with her terms.

"Then we'd better get started". The Jack-bots stopped the battle as they followed their master who was flying away with the monster and the evil blue pony. The monks looked on, annoyed that they had lost to Jack, and terrified as to what was going to happen next.

"What was that thing?" Raimundo asked looking at the storm-filled sky around him. Twilight stared at where the villains had just left, trembling in her shoes.

"Nightmare Moon".

Chapter 4- A New Shen Gong Wu?

The monks weren't happy. Twilight had told them all about her past experience with Nightmare Moon and they were not looking forward to having to face her themselves. They had already fought many other powerful villains, but at least most of them had been human (well, in some form or other). Fighting a ghost-like pony did not sound like fun.

They had also noticed in their last encounter with the villains, that the Jack-bots had become considerably more powerful then before. Twilight had seen Trixie when she had been hovering above them. She knew that Trixie must have been using magic to make the metal battalion even stronger. But what did Trixie have to gain from working with an idiot like Jack? From what the monks had said, Jack Spicer wasn't exactly the most powerful monkey on this planet, and definitely not the brightest; so why had Trixie chosen him to help? Twilight didn't want to be there when the answer was revealed.

"Heads up kids." Dojo shuffled into the room, closely followed by Spike. "New Shen Gong Wu has just been revealed."

The monks looked at each other. A new Shen Gong Wu? This would be the first mission they would have gone on ever since Nightmare Moon was released, and even that was a couple of weeks ago now. Dojo pulled out a large scroll and opened it; a large picture shone in the centre.

"Hey, look. It's not just one it's two" Kimiko stated as a series of two images flashed up on the small rectangular screen. One of the animations showed an image of a man using a box to make a hole in a wall so that he could walk straight through it to the opposite side. On the other picture the man turned a small tree into a human and they ran off screen together.

"How did that small monkey get in there?" Spike picked up the now closed scroll to try and figure out the answer to his question. Twilight shook her head, smiling at her friends innocence.

"What were those Shen Gong Wu, Dojo?" Raimundo asked the small dragon.

"Hmm...as far as I remember. The small box is 'Panku's remote'; it has the ability to make the impossible possible. And the other is 'The Soul of Sereba'. It's like the 'Heart of Jong' but it actually gives the object you've given life to, memories; like the object has always been living. Well in it's own mind it has always lived anyway."

While the monks were thinking Dojo stretched out and grew until he was large enough for all of the monks to fit onto his back. They were given no more chance to have their say; Dojo wanted to get these Shen Gong Wu as fast as possible. They must have been powerful if he was in such a rush. Twilight quickly clambered onboard, barely holding on in time, before the large green reptile flew off the ground at a rapid speed. She waved to Spike down on the ground, trying to say goodbye to her friend. He did not notice however, because he had got himself rather tangled up in the infinitely long scroll that he had been reading. Twilight giggled, she was glad that Spike had come with her to the temple. At least she had one of her friends with her there.

---------------------------------

It seemed to the young warriors that it was taking a long time to get to these new Shen Gong Wu. They had already been flying for at least a few hours and they had grown bored. At one point they were sure that Dojo had no idea where he was actually flying to but he assured them he knew; he was following the magic. Twilight sighed. Her and her old friends used to do that all of the time, go on adventures with magic involved. The temple was fine, but magic was a rare sight there. The only magic they really had was their elements paired with the Shen Gong Wu. The rest of the World was magic free, and in Twilight's eyes, the creatures who lived there were quite naive to the thought of using magic to look after the Earth. Unlike in Equestria were it was magic that controlled most of the kingdom. She wasn't sure if she liked the lack of magic in her new world.

"Okay we're here."

Everyone looked over the side of Dojo to where 'there' was. What they saw startled them. This land was very bright, very colourful and very lively. You could never imagine something bad happening there with the gaity of the surroundings. Omi smiled and pointed at this, that and the other; whilst the rest of the human monks just stared in utter confusion at the moving bright blobs that seemed to be walking around. Even Twilight seemed suprised at where they where. She couldn't imagine that the Shen Gong Wu could be here.

"Where is this wonderous place?" Omi gestured to the village that they had now landed in.

"Ponyville" Twilight's eyes sparked as she looked around "I don't believe it, we're in Ponyville."

Where could the magic be?

Chapter 5- Where could the magic be?

"So this is where you used to live?" Raimundo looked around the colourful paradise in awe. Ponies ran here and there, foals bustled into the schoolyard chattering non-stop, and colts and mares cantered around market stalls and shops, looking for the items on their lists. It was unlike anything the young monks had ever seen. They had only just gotten used to the fact that Twilight was a pony, but knowing that there was a whole land of these little horses was just un-real.

Omi looked really excited compared to the rest. He was so thrilled at the thought of these magical creatures that were so bright and colourful, and fun, fun, fun. He would ride this one...no that one...no maybe that one...by the end of his tirade it seemed that everypony in Ponyville was going to be ridden by the young dragon.

Twilight was just as excited as Omi but for completely different reasons. She was happy that she had come back to the home that she loved the most; now she could see her pony friends again. It had been so strange living with the simians, and now she could spend some time with the equinous mammals she had grown to care for. She could see AppleJack, and Rarity, and Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie. She couldn't forget Pinkie Pie, she had missed her hyper antics and constant breakage of the law of physics; it had been quite dull without them.

Every one of her friends had been so special to her and it had only been when she had left them had she truly realised how great they were. They had always strived to make her smile and make her see the sense of being kind and accepting other ponies for what they were and not just as a distraction to her all important work. She had been working so hard with her recent studies she had struggled with the relazation part of her life she knew that she needed. Maybe there was a chance that whilst she was here she could take a well deserved break, though she was not sure any of her team mates would agree that was neccessary.

It hadn't seemed to take long for all four humans to get over their first shock and carried on in the search for the new Shen Gong Wu. They had to be somewhere around here, Dojo had landed here specifically because it made him sneeze non-stop (a usual sign for the magical items they seeked). Twilight was sorry that Spike had to miss this, she knew he cared for their home just as much as she did, in fact maybe even more so. Spike had quickly accepted his role in Ponyville and had happily made friends with everypony in the small town, whilst she had been more hesitant and quick to judge.

As she looked around at all of the ponies she knew so well her heart began to swell up into a balloon. She loved it so much. She never wanted to leave again, even though she knew she would have to. She trotted forwards, taking in all of her surroundings as the red jacket she wore swayed by her sides. Ponies stared up at her with beaming smiles on their faces. Was that? It couldn't be?

"Twilight?" Bon-Bon stepped forward, her voice different from the voices she had used before. Twilight turned and walked over to her. Oh, how happy she was to see the striped mane of the local candy store owner, and here the changes in her voice that happened almost every day. It seemed Bon-Bon had chosen her 'Opera' voice for this surprising encounter (one of her favourite voices to use when she was shocked in any way). It was then that Twilight did something she never thought she would do in her life. She reached out her hooves wide, dragged Bon-Bon forward and smothered her in a large, caring hug. The cream-coloured mare gasped in surprise. She had never seen the studious unicorn so happy before.

"Erm...Twilight?" she uttered, not able to move out of the violet mare's grasp. The other ponies watched in confusion, wondering what was to happen next. Was Bon-Bon to get a kiss on her cheeks? Twilight blushed, realising what she had done, and pulled herself away from her friend. She had never felt so embarrassed. Her cheeks blazed red as she looked around at all of the ponies she had known before. Her pride plummeted to the earth.

"So Twi.." A voice chucked behind her. "Is this a friend of yours?" Bursts of laughter shot out from behind her and she turned angrily towards the other young warriors. How could they find this so amusing? It wasn't even that funny. It took all of her effort not to use her magic to knock something down onto them. Kimiko saw the annoyed expression on the face of the other 'sort-of' girl in their group. She knew how it felt to be laughed at by all three boys, it had happened many times in their training and even in their battles. She felt sorry for the blushing pony.

"Come on guys," she said, grabbing Omi and Raimundo's ears with her sharp fingers "We still need to find the Shen Gong Wu." Raimundo and Omi squealed as Kimiko dragged them down the street, not relneting her grip and their lobes. It was extremely painful for the teary-eyed boys. Clay followed, bemused, glad that the young girl only had two hands and could not have grabbed him in the same manner as well.

Twilight watched them go with a sigh of relief. She would have to make that up to Kimiko in some way; she had saved her from some major embarrassment then. The crowd hadn't stopped looking at her just yet and Twilight found herself shuddering under their blank stare. She tugged on the collar of her shirt.

"Well, I'd better be going."

Bon-Bon watched as the unicorn ran down the street and around the corner. What had all that been about? It had certainly felt peculiar to have hugged a pony like her. Hooves shot around her stomach, and a head laid on her back. Bon-Bon lifted an eyebrow.

"Lyra, get off me please."

Lyra pulled her hooves away in silence. She never got to give anypony a hug.
